Nestled in Pier Village, the Georgia Sea Grill is a casually refined restaurant that takes pride in its locally sourced seafood and seasonal American dishes. Under the ownership of Zack Gowen, the restaurant has been relocated to a larger and brighter space, offering an extensive wine list and a farm-to-table menu.
The crab bisque was very good and filling. I would highly recommend this appetizer. The fried shrimp had a very smooth corn meal based batter and perfectly fried. The shrimp were large in size but very tender. The oysters were an appetizer but there were enough to be considered a small plate or meal. The service was very friendly. Very nice romantic atmosphere. The biggest let down was their pecan pie which was very thin on filling.

Wow, so good! The service was impeccable, the menu had a wide selection of various cuisines, and the wine/cocktails list was great. It's a great atmosphere, nicely appointed, warm and friendly, and comfortable. We went while visiting for our anniversary and would definitely go back. The pics are the hush puppy appetizer, the carpaccio appetizer, the flounder entrée, and the lamb chops. Would definitely recommend if visiting St Simon Island!

After receiving many recommendations, we visited Georgia Sea Grill.
Initially, we were overwhelmed by the smell of the bar area. We decided to push through and I’m glad we did.
Cocktails were underwhelming, but after a failed attempt at a round of cocktails, we switched to beer and bottled water, which was cold and lovely. Since moving to the area, I still haven’t gotten used to the taste of the water, so I was glad to see they offer bottled water.
We ordered the crab hush puppies as an appetizer. We weren’t told about Happy Hour, or we would have probably tried some of those options as well. The people next to us at the bar tried them and they looked good! The hush puppies were a mix between a hush puppy and a crab cake, then deep fried. Not bad!
For my entree, I had the golden tilefish and it was wonderful. The set up for the fish was really nice and flavorful, as well.
Here’s where it gets good! My husband has talked about the buttermilk pie his great grandmother would make since I met him, so you can only believe the look of excitement on his face when he saw it on the menu. This dose of nostalgia made his evening.
We will most likely return and perhaps will try making a reservation for a table instead of sitting in the bar area.
My partner and I went on a trip to St Simons Island recently and a quick google search for a new restaurant for us to try lead us here.
First off, the atmosphere regarding the interior of the restaurant felt very cozy. The dim lights bought a very intimate/romantic feeling as you dine in. We were sat at a table that was in middle of the dining room which was unfortunately right next to a very large and loud group of people (which I’m not blaming the restaurant for). There were not many walls to watch the the sounds of the conversing peoples and there was also no music to set the tone (or there was and the group we were sat next to were so loud that we couldn’t hear the music). Otherwise, everything else was fine.
The service rendered was excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgable on the menu and also educated us on their fish specials for the night. She was very personable, respectful, helpful (and funny).
Finally, the food; chef’s kiss. I started with the Creamy crab soup w/ chives while my partner had the fork and knife caesar salad. Both our appetizers came out quickly. The soup was absolutely delicious; it was creamy, slightly spicy, rich in flavor, and it was the perfect amount of soup for me. My partner’s salad was a stalk of romaine lettuce topped w/ Parmesan cheese and lightly coated w/ sauce along with a side of very flat, heavily crisped cheddar (which was odd and he didn’t like very much). As he says, his salad was still tasty. For the Entrée, I ordered the herb crusted rack of lambs while my partner ordered the seared scallops w/ sweetcorn risotto; both dishes *chef’s kiss*! I ordered my lamb medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked and succulent. The flavor was astonishingly perfect and with every bite I took I could just feel the love put into the dish. It also came with baby onions, cauliflower and baked scalloped potatoes. Everything on that dish was to my liking besides the cauliflower which had a roasted flavor I was super into. The seared scallops were delicately cooked and nicely soft. The risotto was tasty as well. Everything on my partner's dish was perfect except for the collard greens which had a resilient smell of vinegar and a very bitter taste.
Yes when we come back to the Island we will definitely be coming back here and recommending this place to our friends and family!
From entrance to dessert, April made sure our 20th anniversary dinner was exquisite. The food and wine were amazing; some of the best I have ever had, and I have traversed countries. Many applause and four thumbs up!
Georgia Sea Grill is my very favorite upscale restaurant because the menu is unique, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere in the piano bar area is perfect for a date night or special occasion. I usually order the day's special and it never disappoints. I also like the pan roasted fresh catch and the chocolate cheesecake. We've had a different server at each visit and all of them have been excellent.
Reservations are not required, but recommended.
Georgia Sea Grill was recommended to us by a local friend, he raved about how this was his favorite restaurant in town, and boy did it meet my expectations!
Our server was a younger, handsome guy who was very knowledgeable on the menu, offered an opinion when we discussed being in between two entree choices, and remained friendly throughout our dinner. We enjoyed the crab stuffed hush puppies, pan roasted fresh catch of the day, grilled filet, and don’t forget the coconut chocolate chip pie.
This restaurant is classic upscale dining, with an extensive menu, and beautiful ambience. Don’t leave St Simon’s without stopping into Georgia Sea Grill.
We hosted a group of about 60 people here. They gave us the left side of the restaurant. Everything from the beginning to end was perfect.
The service was top notch, the food was outstanding! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Can not say enough good things about this place

We really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was great. The wait time wasn’t bad to order. The food came out quickly. Everything was good. The food was seasoned very well and you got nice portion sizes. This place was definitely a vibe! So glad we dined here.

Love the atmosphere and vibes! Tenders, catfish, pimento grits and Mac n cheese were THE BEST! Cocktail sauce was delicious! Fried shrimp was good but could be seasoned a bit more, baked beans were bland to be maple flavored. Looking forward to trying new dishes and sides next visit!
We were in the area and had to stop because we love DDD and found out Guy stopped here. We had the chicken tenders and fried shrimp. Also had fries, tots, Mac N Cheese and brussell sprouts. Everything was fantastic, best thing to me was the fried shrimp with tasted fresh and had great flavor. Only downside was the Mac was not very hot and flavor was lacking. Staff is super nice. Tons of seating. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is great. I want to come back again and try more things.
So, Porch was wonderful. Pictured is the little dark plate, tots topped with pimento cheese, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was really good. Nice crisp skin and juicy meat inside. Tots are taken up a notch with the pimento cheese, and the coleslaw was spot on. All in all, if you're around St Simon Island you'll want to stop in.
The food was great, and we loved the "porch" vibe and atmosphere! I loved that they highlighted which options were gluten free and vegan/vegetarian, as I can't eat wheat or dairy so it makes eating out challenging, but they made it easy! I had roasted chicken (Nashville hot) with brussel sprouts and tried collard greens for the first time ever. The brussel sprouts were the best I've had in my entire life!!! The chicken was amazing as well, but if you want spicy, maybe choose the Napalm heat, the Nashville wasn't spicy at all to me, but the flavor was great!!! And the prices were pretty great!
We really enjoyed the our meals. I wish I had known the spice level was based on a paprika. The novice was good but Nashville overpowered any taste of chicken at all.
We all agreed we would return and just have the fish, shrimp, and chicken without any “heat.”

Order at counter and they bring your food to your table. Chicken sandwich was very good with pimento cheese nice addition. Fresh salad with grilled chicken added was great which my spouse enjoyed. Spiked arnold palmer was 👍 good. Would definitely recommend and we intend to return to try other menu items including the shrimp tacos. Nice outdoor area with Cornhole games included.
Overall we both liked the food the service and the atmosphere.

Had a great meal! Started with the soft, onion focaccia bread. Then a HUGE, slightly peppery caesar salad, and ended with the seafood fettuccine. All were excellent! Only slight negative was that we ordered the mile high peanut butter pie. Good, but far from a mile high. Would definitely eat here again though.

Had an amazing trip from a trip to the amazing Resturant ECHO! Ben our fabulous waiter, suggested everything correctly and perfectly!
Easy to just sit back enjoy the view and not have to worry about the menu items! Made such a stunning memory, we are planning the next time we can escape to the King and Prince and have the fabulous pleasure of great food at ECHO being lead by Ben and great comfort of amazing food!
Beautiful views. The service was amazing. Food was great. There was music in the background. We had the fish nachos as an appetizer— highly recommend! The peach sweet tea (not on the menu) was so good! There’s an outdoor area where kids were playing in the grass.
Came here tonight for dinner. Our server JD was very knowledgeable on the menu and attended to our every need. We had the smoked deviled eggs and the Rockefeller oysters. The deviled eggs left something to be desired but the group enjoyed the oysters. For entrees we had the pork chop with broccolini and mashed potatoes, the salmon with rice, the Coastal Cobb salad. We all enjoyed our entrees and took a shrimp and grits to go for another person in our party. We also had some good hot tea as well. Overall, we enjoyed our meals. Give this place a try!
Came for a day trip to enjoy the sunshine. I heard this place was amazing. It absolutely was! I had the fish tacos with truffle fries. 10/10. Probably the best fish tacos ive ever had!! Drinks were pretty good. Service was good for how busy it was! They were working very hard! Ben was awesome. Jordan was sweet. Steve was knowledgeable. There was another girl behind the bar but I didn’t catch her name! She was extremely hard working and kind. Can’t wait to come back! So fun and pretty!
Outstanding service and fun atmosphere. I ate at the bar and everyone was having a great time and very chatty. Great mix of visitors and locals. The ribeye was fantastic served medium rare with great sides.
I ate here with a large group last week for dinner, and it was a great experience. The waitress was very attentive, refilling our drinks and checking in on us often. 5/5 for service. The food was wonderful! The homemade bread and truffle fries were my favorite. I ordered the shrimp and grits as my main and it was very good and very filling. The grits were extra cheesy! The restaurant has a nice view of the beach. There's lot of options to choose from on SSI, but I definitely recommend Echo if you're looking for something that is a step up from casual but not too fancy.
We came for Sunday brunch, but wound up eating from the bar menu. They do not have a cook, they have a stone cold chef! I had the Cobb salad with shrimp and smoked salmon, which was fabulous. One of us had a flatbread was so good. One of us had the fish tacos, amazing. And one of us had the barbecue chicken sandwich, which she just kept on and on and on about how fabulous it was. It had homemade pimento sauce! Just really really good food! Jackie, great waitress and she really took care of us. Great experience.

Jannie served us and was the sweetest most patient person. She was slammed and we had a big group and she never faltered with attitude and professionalism. The bartender Jason and thefood runner Kathleen also were very helpful to my difficult group. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The food was phenomenal and extremely fast regardless of how busy it was. 10/10 will come back

Mixed reviews on the food. Casual place with what looked to be a fair number of locals coming in after we arrived around 545 on a Sunday. They handled small children well and appeared to be dog friendly at the outside seating. Happy hour (till 6) worked to our advantage with buck a shuck oysters (although a little small). Fried oysters were good, the slaw was very good, but the shrimp and grits were soupy and overly salted. The hush puppies had little flavor. The burger was ordinary and light on the cheese. The service was good for us but the place was not busy until we were leaving.
The worst dining experience we’ve had.
We arrived after the lunch rush, and while talking to the hostess to check in for a table a server carrying a drink couldn’t be more annoyed that my toddler wasn’t moving fast enough to get out of her way to deliver the beverage outside.
There’s a handful of tables in there and a few open, she tells us it’s a 30 minute wait. That’s fine, we go kill some time outside. She calls and sits us at the same table that’s been available since we first got there. Okay, maybe they’re short staffed- I used to work in restaurants so I get it.
Upon ordering crab legs we find out they are out of crab legs (the entire reason we chose this place was for that)
The tables have dwindled down and we are one of just a few eating, but our food still takes an hour to get out

The combo platter was rotten. My husband had scallops on a plate for the toddler and told me to taste it beforehand bc the one he just ate tasted off. It was still raw. I grabbed a shrimp to taste instead and the smell of it made my stomach turn.
I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up sick shortly after leaving. I just assume my chicken and his seafood were cooked together since they were both blackened.
The platter was comped, our server was apologetic over the experience.
Please don’t eat here. Beer recommendation was not good, the fish dip app came out after the food and was just a block of cheese melted w some fish, hardened right up so we couldn’t eat it. Ordered the boil, then was told they’re out of sausage and the crab was extra. Idk it didn’t hit for us and I had high hopes
I had a good chat with the owner while checking out his fish tanks of sea life, really neat experience to come across an owner and heart of the business and have a good conversation, it was late so he also made his way to our table to conversate with my husband and teenage daughter. The food was great, but came out 20 minutes apart from my other family members food... The owner said he is working on his kitchen staff with proper timing, and unfortunately the food timing and lateness is the only complaint I have for them.I hope the owner reads this,so he understands he's got a great thing going. But for someone who waits an hour between husband and daughters dinners coming out when there is an empty restaurant around us and the owner is making good conversation, instead of apologizing and offering my husband a free beer you should have comped my no meat salad that took an hour and a half to make.
Such a disappointment for our last dinner while in Saint Simons. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but we were seated in that bar area. Finally the hostess came to check on us and sent a waitress over to take orders. We had been there long enough to know what we wanted for dinner, but we were not given that option. Drinks ordered with some starters. The beer took a while and the soup came out one at a time. The dozen baked oysters came out six at a time. All of these items were delicious and we got to eat in shifts. When my main course - conch fritters came out, the outside was burnt, and the in side was not fully cooked. Again all this food came out in shifts, so some of us were waiting for others to finish eating. We have eaten here before- and were very disappointed this time around.
The food was amazing. Rudy is an amazing oyster shucker and a very personable man. The guy that sat near us at the bar was trying to start trouble so we didn't get much time there to enjoy our afternoon. He obviously was a regular and intoxicated. It could have been handled better but instead the bartender allowed us to leave without hesitation. Very sad that it had to come to that because it was our first time there.
We sat for nearly 2 hours and never received most of our food. The excuse was people were ahead of us and the kitchen is backed up. That is understandable but customers sitting in the restaurant ready to pay and eat should be first priority. Our waitress was amazing though this was not her fault at all, again she was great. Management obviously has zero control over the kitchen and this needs to be addressed.

Golden Isles Olive Oil Gourmet Market and Restaurant is a delightful gourmet shop located in the Redfern Village District. It offers a wide variety of flavorful infused or balsamic olive oils, honey, syrup, spices, and sweet treats.
This is my favorite restaurant to visit when traveling for work. What impresses me most is the consistency in excellent customer service and delicious seafood dishes! David was my bartender this time and he made sure I was taken care of and carried on enjoyable conversation with me while he worked. Another wonderful experience! Kudos to the cooks as I tried new dishes and wow they are my new favorites!

The Golden Isle Olive Oil gourmet market and restaurant did not disappoint. I definitely would add this place into my eatery rotation on the island. The food options were delicious and service was excellent. My party ordered the Farmhouse Burger, Roasted Chicken Breast, Chocolate Balsamic Shirt Ribs, Salmon Salad (Appetizer) and Olive Oil Cake (Rum Flavored). Our waitress provided some of the best customer service I've seen in a long time. There was a local musician providing some entertainment for patrons. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Pricing is comparable for similar establishments. Parking is free around the building.
Stopped in for dinner and enjoyed a delicious dirty martini to start. We ordered the beet salad, chicken curry salad, and grilled cheese. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the olive oil cake and peach pie, and they did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. We’ve been here before and always have a great experience—never a bad meal or moment. Long overdue for a review, but well deserved!

Priced like a restaurant in the village but near a traffic circle, so outdoor seating was available but would have been very loud. The food was okay. Smaller, more realistic portions but flavorful. Our waiter never filled a glass (water,mixed cocktail, or tea) more full than 1/2 full. The waiter was not engaged, muttered and just walked away when we were mid sentence ordering drinks when we were first seated. We would have liked to order desert and were discussing who wanted what as the waiter stood, silent at the end of the table holding a chalk board listing the offerings. He took a request from one person in our party and then walked away. The one person who got desert said it was good. For the price and dining experience, I would not eat here again.
I have been there a few times, but not on Wednesday night ! We bumped into a song Bingo game. Which wa super fun. I also love bacon old fashion there ! One of my favorite cocktails at Golden Isle.

Tramici Restaurant is a cozy Italian eatery located in St. Simons Island, GA, offering a warm and inviting dining experience for families and friends. Super friendly! Food was outstanding if k! Gorgonzola pizza was unbelievable truly! Who would have thought to make a crust with cauliflower and put grapes on the pizza! The Basil-gin Rikki hit the spot. The cannoli beat the famous Mike’s Bakery of the North End in Boston.

Let us congratulate the efforts made by individuals providing delicious handmade pasta dishes, wine/libations and delightful customer service because Tramici has done it all. My group enjoyed their meals and our pleasant server was knowledgeable. Atmosphere is contemporary causual, so bring yourself, family or friends for an enjoyable meal. Ample seating is available for parties of 4 or less whether its a booth, table or at the central bar. Call ahead for larger groups. Pricing is comparable to similar restaurants serving Italian cuisine. Plenty of free parking exists around the building as this place located in quaint shopping center.
I love this place! My dish was super fly. The pizza was great, too! I ordered a shrimp piccata, and I got an exotic seasoning free of charge. Even the fly was free!
Lovely and casual atmosphere, very good choices on the menu that all sound very modern and delicious. I had the special they were running that was balsamic marinated skirt steak with risotto and it was AWESOME. Desserts were also incredible! Tiramisu and canolis were our choices. You have to try the tiramisu! Our server Marley was so kind and helpful, talked so well with our child too. I really admire that in a server 💗 thank you guys so much!
My wife and I were in town for a conference and decided to have dinner at Tramici. I ordered the chop—either lamb or pork (I honestly can’t remember)—but whatever it was, it was fantastic. For the first time ever, I ended up with a dish my wife liked more than her own.
She ordered the ravioli, which was definitely more creative than traditional. While I thought it was well-prepared, she tends to prefer more classic flavors and wasn’t a big fan. That said, the quality was still there—it just came down to personal preference.
Overall, we both enjoyed the experience. Great food, inviting atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend Tramici to anyone visiting the area.
I returned to this restaurant from when I visited the area 11 years ago. I recounted to Katelyn, our server what happened 11 years ago that when the manager found out we were recently married, she comped our meal. Katelyn loved the story and gave us the excellent service, recommendations and meal that was the best meal we had while on the island. We always enjoy a night out at Tramici. The dining room is lovely with a lively central bar. Servers and bartenders are true professionals. The food is spot on. Everything is delicious from appetizers to salads, entrees, and desserts. Wonderful wine selection. Highly recommend this Italian gem.
The restaurant is very nice, the lunch menu is small in comparison to the dinner but the food was delicious. Especially the pizza. Definitely a must try. Although our server did not stand out we had a good time and will be back.

The shrimp and sausage gumbo was excellent. The grouper sandwich was just as good, and the chicken salad wrap was great. The only issue is parking. The restaurant is in a busy marina so you might search for parking

Had my Mom’s 90th birthday in the event space at CC. All planning done with Christie who made the process flawless. Raves from a group of 25. Room was spectacularly decorated and personalized. Passing by on a trip and wanted to stay with a local place for food and found this hidden gem off St Simon island! I kept it simple and got a burger but from the other guests the seafood options looked amazing! The burger was cooked perfectly! I sat outside and the weather was great and view was even better! Definitely a nice little place off the main strip for a dinner!
Amazing dinner experience with the best views of a marina! Been to plenty of seafood restaurants, and this is up there! Very fresh seafood, hometown service, but the views and quality of the food sold it for us! We tried all sorts of dishes, and everything was great, but standouts were the blackened redfish, oysters, and crab soup. Omg, that soup was so light and different than the traditional heavy crab soup you come to expect. The views from the patio deck at sundown were amazing, but there's also plenty of inside seating for the hot days. One of the nicer restaurants in the area. Expect to pay $35-45 per with seafood and drinks. Definitely highly recommend and will be a go to place for out of town visitors.
We were looking for a nice seafood restaurant around Jekyll and St. Simons. Everyone near the beaches were all full and parking was difficult to find. So we kept driving before heading home. We found this resto on google maps and it had good reviews. Our food came on time and service was great. The food was delicious and the servings were generous as pictured. This is a must try. I am glad google reviews exist cuz it definitely helped my decisions that’s why I leave reviews here as well hoping to help people especially those that are not locals like our family.
The Coastal Kitchen was truly breathtaking. The picturesque boats, the enchanting sea grass, and the captivating walkway left us in awe. The culinary experience was equally extraordinary. Our family savored the delectable delights of grits, fried Georgia shrimp, and Georgian trout, and each dish surpassed our expectations. However, the pinnacle of our dining experience was undoubtedly the dessert, highlighted by the best pecan pie I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

Food was very tasty. Who knew I'd enjoy grilled veggies on vacation 😋 they were seasoned just right. Brendan (could be Brandon & I might have his name wrong all together- sorry) was attentive to me as soon as I sat at the bar. He was kind and pleasant. I highly recommend trying this place. Outside patio seating if that's your thing, a more covered patio with booths and big screens are available as well and of course the bar. Do a bit of shopping then swing by here for the fried okra 🙂
Sports bar food with a couple of seafood options. Grilled redfish was good with some sauteed squash, zucchini, and onions. Tons of outdoor seating and plenty of televisions. Fellow diner enjoyed her salad and grilled chicken fingers.

Gnats has been here as long as I can remember and it hasn’t changed. Be prepared to sit in the heat getting eaten by bugs at a miniature picnic table with poor service, and mediocre food. It was a year since I was here last so I figured I’d give them another chance. A year later and it still isn’t worth going. The BBQ nachos had cold beef and lukewarm queso. The trigger fish was good as were the fries. The salad was very simple as if it was from a bag. This place might be better if I was drunk.
We had a fantastic time at Gnat’s Landing! Enjoyed drinks while listening to the band 3 Day Weekend—great music, great outdoor space, and great service. Highly recommend!

We stopped in on Saturday after visiting relatives on the island and although it was a holiday weekend (Independence Day) we only waited a short time (less than 30 minutes) to be seated at 6:30 in the evening. We ordered the Spinach Dip and it was very good - although maybe a couple extra pieces of bread would be helpful - ran out of bread before dip. We had the Holy Shitake Pie and oh my it was delicious!
Cute place! I love the tree on the patio. The pretzel bites were excellent, and my carry-out pizza was good. I can't wait to order pizza in! Great selection of mocktails and NA beer.

I stopped here for an afternoon snack because I had heard of this restaurant but had never had the chance to go to one. The spinach artichoke dip was AMAZING. The portion ratio to the bread was great and it was so creamy and smooth. It was the best I had ever had anywhere!!!! Nina was great keeping a close check on me while I was there taking excellent care of me. I highly recommend this place if the rest of their menu is as good as what I got.
We were seated in a timely matter. Our waitress was Alyssa she was the best waitress I think I've ever had in my whole life. She was very attentive to our table A+ for sure. All the food was great. Only negative was the sweet tea it was not sweet at all. Other than that everything was great.

My son brought me to Ember as part of my Christmas gift and I must say it is in the top running for best gift ever. We did have reservations and they are easy to make on their website. We arrived during one of their live music events so we got entertained while eating this amazing meal.
The set up is pretty unique, when you walk in you see their amazing wood oven and it definitely caught my eye. It’s beautiful and functional art that helps them create their pizzas. Behind that you get a great view of the kitchen and the rest is the main dining room. To the right is a separate room that is made up of a bar, a pool table, and some lounging couches. To the left of the dining room is the outdoor patio area. This is where we sat.
Appetizers was such a tough call. Every single item sounded so delicious. We decided on the meatballs and the bread with black garlic and EVOO. The meatballs were the best I have ever had. They were soft and full of flavor and covered in a homemade marinara. The balance of the sweetness in the sauce was perfect, which is hard to do in a restaurant setting. I find sauces from restaurants too sweet. If Hansel and Gretel were real they would prefer a house made of these meatballs every day! The bread was spectacular. I bake my own bread at home and I was so impressed with the bread. It had the texture and floof of a standard bread loaf but the flavor of a ciabatta. Glazed with butter and topped with flakey sea salt it was absolutely perfect, dipping it in their olive oil with black garlic was out of this world for my taste buds. They may never move on and accept my standard bread recipe now that they had that.
When our mains came out I was already feeling full. However, we each ordered the 14 oz steak and I’m not about to bring that home. I’m not sure the picture does it justice. The steak is paired with fingerling potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and all is covered with a sauce, I’m not sure what kind of glitter (metaphorical glitter…magic) they put in that sauce but it was this magical thing, as if a au jus and a Demi-Glacé had a baby. To make things even better I am still confused on the cut of beef it actually was. It had the beautiful flavor and tenderness of a ribeye but without the fat and the muscle texture was even. On the drive home me and my son determined that whatever cow was used it led a happy existence and had to have been extremely relaxed when processed. Somehow I don’t think the farm will change their slogan to reflect that but it was in fact, the best steak I’ve ever had and I can cook a perfect steak.
Now the hard part of the meal came, dessert. Every single one sounded amazing but I had already eaten a weeks worth of meat and carbs and my diabetes and fullness did not allow me to even consider another bite. So of course I ordered dessert to go and this morning, when I woke up I had my insulin ready because there was no way I wasn’t going to not eat the fried poundcake with berries and whipped cream to start my day the same way I ended yesterday, with fabulous food.
So all that to say, get out and try Ember Farm to Fire. You won’t be disappointed.

I enjoyed the tuna appetizer and the egg roll appetizer. There is a vegetarian entre which is quite nice, but I would say it is an acquired taste and somewhat eclectic. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, although it is somewhat dark.
I would come back for the appetizers, although I'm not sure what entree I'd recommend.
We chose this place to have a nice dinner back in August, and we made the right choice. Every dish we had was incredible, and the decor and ambiance were perfection. We were lucky to have the entire back room to ourselves, which was really a shame, because this restaurant is so good it should always be packed. I hope to return the next time I find myself down on the island!

The front door to this restaurant is amazing. It is a portal actually. When outside you are standing in a shopping center. A strip mall that looks like thousands of other strip malls around. Whenever the portal opens and you enter you are transported to a fine dining experience. There is a large beautiful wood fired oven a blaze. The place is so nice it makes me feel under dressed. It is only the staff and customers already seated that we feel comfortable.
Our server provided some of the best service we have had on St Simon's. The food was wonderful. We had steak and a pizza of course after seeing that beautiful wood fired oven. The descriptions of the food on the menu was extremely accurate . Everything was first class.
If you need a break from the hustle and bustle that is St Simon's this is a great place to go. We cannot wait to come back.

Great Vibe in the place. Bartenders are friendly and attentive and the happy hour prices are fantastic. No live music when we were there on Labor day weekend but that is probably because of COVID 19. Highly recommend this place especially if you are with a group. You can drink all day and not break the bank.
My wife and I were able to enjoy a night of drinks, pool, and darts in an environment suited for everyone. We might not get to go as much as we’d like to, but you should go more often to make up for us!!

This was my first visit to Mullet Bay. Normally, the restaurant is busy, but this is the off-season for tourists. Nice atmosphere and service. I had Lobster Bisque, Fried Oysters and Shrimp platter with French fries and a side salad. The fried Oysters were very good. I recommend the Greek salad dressing. We will return soon to try other items on the menu.
It was a local’s recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Husband ordered blackened shrimp poboy with bourbon brussel sprouts and I had chicken pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were good choices hence the photo 😆. Paige was an attentive server.
4 of us came here 3 times during our stay and it quickly became a favorite for us. However, in all my life we have never been treated so rudely by the waitress on our 3rd visit. She basically told us we shouldn't be sitting at the table that the host told us to sit at. She continued to argue with us when we tried to tell her we were there two other nights and sat at the same table without incident. Robin the waitress that night who we will call "Karen" went in to report us to the manager. to make things worse, the manager acted the same way and followed up by saying, but it's ok, you can stay. Who would stay after that? We closed our bill and left. What should have been done was NOTHING. The manager should've told the waitress it was a mix up on their part and just let it go. They cost themselves customers. Planned to have a nice dinner there tomorrow night but w certainly won't be after this.
Food lacks any flavor. For almost $30 a plate I would at least expect some sort of seasoning or even butter on grilled shrimp. The only saving grace was the amount of flavor on the brussel sprouts. But no where near able to save the rest of the experience. The fried shrimp even completely lacked seasoning. And someone needs to check the water. Tasted straight out of the ocean.
We were a group of 15, and our server handled everything like a champ! Drinks, appetizers, mains, everything came out correct, and she followed up with us each time asking if we needed anything. I wish I had gotten her name, but forgot to ask and just enjoyed the night. Food was great too, many of us got local seafood choices, while others had salads or chicken. It was all really good and timely with a group our size. Highly recommend for great service, good food and drinks too!

We were seated and attended to within minutes by our very kind waitress, who was super accommodating and brought a booster seat for my toddler right away. Everything I ordered was fantastic, especially the peach mimosas. They were delicious and the perfect start to my day—though they hit a little harder than expected, lol! I'd give this experience and this place a 10/10 and highly recommend it.

I ordered fries on the side, the pimento cheese appetizer, and house lemonade, all of which were perfect! Stephanie took my order, very polite, direct and fast. Our favorite spot for burgers and beer in the Golden Isles! If you’re a craft beer lover, chances are you’ve been disappointed in the selection in the Golden Isles. Certified Burgers & Beverage has a stellar rotating tap selection full of great craft options, which we were delighted to find!
Their food is excellent. It’s simple — burgers, sandwiches, fries, tots, chips, etc with some salads and a few simple apps, like Pimento Cheese that comes with a sleeve of Ritz crackers. If you’re a vegetarian, they have a great Chickpea Fritter app and burger. We typically sit at the bar and the bartenders are always welcoming and personable.
Our favorites? The Fungi Burger is fantastic and any of the burgers featured in their “Specials” menu are worth ordering! No matter what you get — make sure you get the Certified Sauce! It’s their take on a “fry sauce” and it’s the bomb.
Don’t skip the milkshake, especially the Oreo. It’s worth it.

We went two nights in a row and were only on St. Simons Island for 3 nights. Our server, Meredith, was fabulous and big part of the reason we returned. I can’t wait to come back.

We went our first night on the island since it was recommended and enjoyed the fish tacos, burger and beer. Ended up going again our last night on the island because it was so good. The food and beer were great again. Consistently good food and not overly priced with great beer selection.
This was a very cute location with beautiful plants and decorations. We were met immediately by the host and sat rather quickly. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer, so warm and delicious. As a group we ordered shrimp cakes, caeser salad, fish tacos, and a few drinks such as vodka and cranberry. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little overwhelming just due to the size of parties and the amount of room available. There was a Bachelorette party, families, and couples. There is also outside seating available.
This was a great choice for our first night on the island. The beer was great and the food was excellent. The fresh catch was Mahi, so the fish and chips and the fish tacos were made with delicious Mahi! The beet salad fulfilled my cravings for beets, and the added blackened chicken was perfect!!
Had a flight of their house made beers. The wheats and IPA were all good. I liked the blueberry wheat best, it was subtler than I expected. The brussel sprouts were great, interesting sauce instead of the standard balsamic reduction or glaze. The fish sandwich was grouper and tasted great. Good shoestring fries topped off the meal. The restaurant is well decorated and there's a great outfit seating area as well.

Across the two nights we had many of the menu items but our favorites were the hamachi, the tuna tartare, and the curry fish special. Both Leah & Janessa were behind the bar both nights and we couldn’t speak higher of them. Even during a crazy busy night - they were personable, attentive and educated us on the food and cocktail menu. Partnered with their bar back Sam - we always had our plates cleared, waters full and fresh silverware. I’d be remiss not to mention the cocktail we both couldn’t stop ordering - the El Mariachi. If you like Mezcal, you have to order this drink!
On our way out, we chatted with the host and a server wrapping up their shift and the way they spoke highly of the restaurant & were passionate about what they had to offer spoke highly of the management team and the culture they foster. This spot is truly a gem on St. Simon’s and we will be sure to come back on our next visit!

Owner and Chef, Daniel Auffenberg, was incredibly accommodating and helpful, making everything easy from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was delicious, and the cocktails lived up to their reputation. Dorothy's waitstaff was cheerful, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our guests had a wonderful time. We highly recommend Dorothy's for any special occassion!
Such a pretty restaurant! The food was amazing and came out fast. My salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My server Chelsea helped me decide on a drink based on my order. She was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks which was so helpful as it was our first time eating there. Would absolutely recommend the restaurant and getting Chelsea as your server!
We had the most wonderful experience at Dorothy’s! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and personal. The hostess greeted us with a smile and genuine interest—asking if we were celebrating anything. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, she not only congratulated us but also asked how we met, which made the whole evening feel so special from the start.
Our server, Breno, was incredible. He was kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His care and energy truly elevated the experience. He even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary—a warm chocolate chip cookie (the best we’ve ever had) served with vanilla ice cream.
This was our first time at Dorothy’s, and we’ll absolutely be back. Between the amazing food, thoughtful service, and romantic atmosphere, it’s easily one of the best restaurants on St. Simons.

Came here for my birthday dinner and it was a vibe! I wasn’t sure what to expected when we walked in but it’s nicely decorated and gives off Tulum vibes and was hopping! The background music is fun and dancy (at least on a Saturday night) and it wasn’t very loud so you can still have a conversation at dinner. Service was pretty quick and our server was nice and knowledgeable. The hostess at the front was helpful and friendly as well. We had the grilled Caesar salad, sechzuan noodles, scallion pancakes, and red curry fish and it was all yummy! The grilled Caesar salad in particular stood out. We wanted to try the orange chicken but unfortunately they had run out. For my birthday dessert we did the warm chocolate chip cookie w ice cream which was perfect. Highly recommend!

While walking downtown waterfront shops, we wanted to get a beer and watch football. Nice dive bar that allows smoking (we don't) you can smell it as soon as you walk in. Bartender was nice and spot on with our beers.
Have pool tables and darts to play, left after one beer. We couldn't handle the smoke smell.
My friend and I found Murphy's Tavern while on an afternoon/ day trip to St. Simon's Island yesterday. We had a great time. Kaleb and Grant treated us great. We shot a couple of rounds of billiards. We will definitely go back next time we go to the coast.

Was in town for a few days and hit this place up each day. This is exactly what a dive bar should be. The bartenders are all cool and friendly and the regulars as well.

Coolest place on SSI just to hang out with a group and celebrate a birthday party. Had 12 of us and all the locals were awesome and partied down with us. The Bartender was great. They even had a WWII patron that we all got to thank for his service. A must visit location, even if you only go to SSI for the day.

We go to this area 5-6 times a year, and have been wanting to try Iguanas. We ordered seafood and burgers. As an appetizer, we ordered coconut shrimp. The sauce wasn't great, and the shrimp was worse than most places I have eaten within 200 miles of the coast. The special with the Grouper. The grouper itself was good, and the asparagus was tasty. The rice and whatever was in it tasted like elmer's glue. A couple of different burgers were ordered, and they were cooked correctly, and everyone enjoyed them. Sides were a little disappointing as the Mac n cheese noodles were mushy, and the fries tasted like old fry oil that was used for seafood. The Shrimp Scampi was horrible. Parts of mystery meat was located in the meal and the shrimp was gritty. It was sent back and taken off our bill. The server was on top of things. Always there with a refill when a cup got close to being empty and answered any questions. Way to many other good options in the area to ever go back .
Came here tonight for dinner. Our server Sam was great and very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure to be careful with the shellfish allergy in our party by letting us know the fries were cooked in the same grease as the shellfish. We had the Bacon Burger with a side Ceasar salad, the pick 2 blackened haddock and fried shrimp and fried shrimp with fries, hush puppies and a side house salad. We also ordered the Lava Flow and Piña Colada as drinks. Everything was very tasty. The only thing was some felt the shrimp could have had a bit more seasoning. Otherwise we had a great dining experience. Give this little seaside restaurant a try.
Good casual classic seafood and more from this St.Simons staple. I sat at the bar and received quick, friendly, and genuine service from drinks to food recommendations. The bartender’s recommendations were perfect as I ordered the Barnie B: blackened fish over a bed of grits and a Cajun sauce drizzled atop and it did not disappoint.
It also came with a side salad which I devoured with a nice, mellow Caesar dressing. It was a lot of grits, filling too! I saved room for a free ice cream with hot caramel on top.
Overall great place, great food, and great staff! I’ll be back to try their famous ribeye.

We were seated quickly, no wait at all, which was a little surprising simce there was almost nowhere close to park (there were two spots open around the side and back when we got there, 7pm on a weekday).
The menu selection was ok. Draft beer selection was ok. Food was overpriced and kid shrimp portions weren't very impressive for $14.99 and the kid drinks weren't included in that (drinks for kids were $3.50 each I believe). I had the bacon cheeseburger, it was ok. Another in my party had a Mahi Mahi sandwich which they thought was pretty good. Another kids menu order was the chicken tenders and Id say those were as expected. The total bill for two adults and two kids was just shy of $100 before the tip.
Our waitress and server were both attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere was low key and enjoyable but a little lackluster. Overall, I think we've had better food elsewhere on the island. The one saving grace for the kids was the free ice-cream, none of the adults in the party tried it so I'll take the kids' take on it lol.

Last weekend me and 3 of my friends went out to eat on SSI for my friends birthdays. We ate at Iguanas, and the building was fairly easy to find because it was in a strip of different places. They serve mainly seafood but they have a few other options like chicken tenders and thats what i got. It was not very experience for me and my boyfriend to both eat. The price was what someone would expect to pay in my opinion. We all dressed up pretty nice since it was for my friends birthday but most of the other people there were just dressed casual. We sat outside so we didn't get to see any of the decor or anything inside but the outside was pretty nice, they had fans and wooden booths for seating. I feel like this restaurant would attract young couples or families on vacation. We went on a saturday night and they were fairly busy but the service was amazing. Our food came out extremely quick and was super hot and fresh when it was served, the waitress we had was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu as well. I feel like the selection on the menu was very reasonable and it was not all over the place. I was also very happy that they had other options then seafood because i am a very picky eater and do not like seafood we just attend this restaurant because that is where my friend chose but i would 100 percent go back. My friend got the shrimp and grits and the portion was huge and she said it was extremely good. My boyfriend got fried shrimp and he said they were also extremely good and he ate all of them which is surprising because he never eats all of his food. The chicken tenders i got were very crispy and cooked just right. They serve lunch and dinner, there hours are 11am-10pm. I definitely recommend coming to iguanas if you are ever in the area!

We never wanted for anything and at the end of the meal, our server even brought us a slice of butter cake with vanilla ice cream that had been mistakenly made (no charge for us)!
We ordered quite the feast and it was all amazing! The calamari perfectly seasoned, tender; the shrimp ceviche was delicious on the fried wontons; oysters were AMAZING, and such a treat with a Bloody Mary style shooter! For dinner, Blackened Magi cooked to perfection! I highly recommend the grits and the bacon wrapped greens as sides. Even the onion rings were amazing!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting St Simons Island! On the nights we ate elsewhere, we always noticed how busy this place was and it’s for good reason - great prices, great service abs delicious food.

This is a very popular place, and I xan see why. Its located right off of the main strip. They have a rotating selection of catch of the day. (Ours was flounder, which was 39 dollars including crab crusting.)
I also ordered a dozen raw oysters. While they were not as big as I hoped, they were plenty and they were delicious.
A final thing I ordered was their cake. The menu says that there is a reason its the only dessert, and they don't lie. It melts in your mouth with cakey goodness.
I do recommend hitting upthis place if you are visiting. Its definitely worth the trip.
Half Shell was perfect for us wrapping up our beach trip. All the food looked so good it was hard to decide what to choose. After the waitress’s recommendation I got the crab cakes with bacon wrapped green beans and sweet potato fries. My friend got the crab cake BLT with grits and crab bisque. My recommendation: get the crab cakes and for sure the green beans and I enjoyed the grits too! We wrapped up with the gooey cake and my friend loved it too. I was pleasantly surprised with the portions. And like I said there are a lot of options that I think would please anyone. I think this is one of the top places to go in St. Simons.
The service and outside patio was fantastic. Even though the ceviche, my shrimp and grits, and my wife’s Mahi were great, the flounder was very bland. Overall it was a great experience and the food was good. Will definitely come back for the grits.

The food was very good overall. The rolls were toasty and tasty, the soups and salads were good as well. The T-bones: the filet side was tender and delicious, but the strip side was very fatty and full of gristle. Our server was very young and inexperienced; she was friendly but made a few small mistakes - not an unpleasant evening at all, she just needs a little more time and experience.
Overall, we left fat and happy!
Dropped by last night for a quick dinner about an hour before close. The staff was extremely sweet and attentive. Every meal comes with complimentary bread and mixed salad, I enjoyed the bread but the salad was a bit soggy, which could have been due to the time of night. I had the 16oz Ribeye and loaded baked potato which was cooked to perfection. Other people in my party had the Surf & Turf and another the Lasagna. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we also purchased a bottle of wine which was very reasonably priced. This a cute establishment with a true barn aesthetic, but a more upscale dining experience truly marrying the best of both worlds. Of you want a good steak or hearty meal, give Bennie’s a try.
I had the filet, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The collard greens? Unreal. Perfectly seasoned and the kind of side that makes you want to order another round. The service was attentive, and the whole experience just felt like old-school hospitality done right. If you’re looking for a classic spot outside of the village area, do yourself a favor and check this place out.
Loved the whole Red barn feel to the restaurant. The inside was really neat as well. I did a bunch of veggies which I loved. But we ordered steak and I would recommend not doing that. My daughter‘s steak was overdone and dry. My husband steak was cold and we had to send it back. We also got fried chicken, which was amazing. I felt bad every time we had to ask the server for anything because they seemed like they didn’t even want to be there.
I ordered the Ribeye with a baked potato and my husband ordered the grilled salmon. Both cooked perfectly. Small portions for the price. They grill over wood and the taste is great! The small biscuits were warm and soft. The salad had a Italian dressing on it that was nice. The atmosphere is really nice. Love the wood! May need to paint the ceiling or add silver tiles for bright touch and the outside of the barn is in desperate need of repair.
The food was ok. I did like the char flavor of the steak but the steamed vegetables weren't much more than from a can or a frozen vegetable medley. The steaks were cooked correctly which was a great plus. I wasn't as good as the last time we came but still worth a try.

We wrapped up the experience with banana pudding and cappuccino. Thank you to the entire Halyard’s team for delivering with excellence once again. Halyard’s is a must every time we visit St. Simons.

We celebrated two birthdays at Halyards, and it was perfect. Friendly greeting as soon as we walked in the door. Seated promptly. It was a busy Saturday night, but the staff didn't miss a beat. Blue Crab Bisque is a must, Delicious!! We had the salmon, shrimp and grits and NY Strip (cut of the day). Everything was cooked perfectly and good sized portions. We even had room to share a kiddie sundae 🍨 which was huge for being a 'kiddie' sundae. Thomas was our server, we didn't want for anything. He took great care of us. Highly recommend. Had an absolutely amazing meal on Saturday night at Halyards. My wife and friend are still raving about the meal. Our guest called it a 19 out of 10. It started with the wedge with blue cheese. They both said it was the best blue cheese dressing they've ever tasted. They asked the waitress if they can sell them a jar of it to take home. I had the grouper and it was perfectly prepared while my wife and guest each had a filet.. They both said the seasoning was perfect and cooked to perfection. Even the desserts were amazing.
And let's not forget the great service. Serving staff was on top of everything paying attention without being at the table the entire time.

Beautiful presentation, unfortunately the entire party complained that the food was warm not hot. We decided to eat it warm because we had five in our party and we did not want to wait any longer. The food was tasty. The Brussels Sprouts and the calamari, definitely a hit. Our server Gina was amazing. So, shout out to Gina. Next time we are in the area we will return to this restaurant. We will definitely mention to make sure our food is hot
Dinner was absolutely great! We got an array of fish, fried chicken, and short ribs. Everything was spectacular. Our waiter Derek was on point with everything, even my sisters gluten allergy. The pot stickers were great. Cocktails amazing. 10/10 would go back again.

We went here while on vacation. The service was great! I was disappointed that the food wasn’t the best. The soup was pretty good. The rock shrimp was overdone. The blackened flounder was rubbery. I’m not sure how I feel about the fries. They were crunchy, but they didn’t have much flavor besides that. The best meal at our table was Cajun shrimp-delish! When I leave a meal and pay almost $60 for one person, I expect it to be better than a Captain D’s type meal. No one in my large group really thought they got their monies worth. The portions were enough, but not extra. No one at my table needed a box. The reviews I read made me expect way more.
We arrived about 6 pm on a Sunday evening, two of us. We were seated immediately in the front dining room and our server greeted us promptly for our drink order. She returned first with our requested water and then with our draft craft beers which were reasonably priced at $5 each. We ordered half dz raw oysters and cup of crab soup first. Oysters were small but tasty and soup was delicious, full of crab meat. We ordered entrees after our appetizers, fried soft shell crabs and the combo plate with blackened scallops and 1 crab cake. Sides were included with the dinners, cole slaw for both, fries on combo, bake potato with crab. We both enjoyed our food. My favorite were the scallops. Nice sear and tender meat. Service was very good. We would go back. Prices were reasonable and servings generous.
Ordered for 3 people to-go for approximately $130. While picking up our food, we checked, and there was no butter/sour cream for upcharged baked potatoes (and they forgot salad, also ordered with upcharge). After pointing out to attendant she said she would get and brought out bag with "butter and sour cream". She also brought the salad. Upon arrival home- we discovered plenty of sour cream but no butter. Additionally, there was no salad dressing with the salad.
Seafood was good. Hushpuppies were excellent. Portions were very small for price. Attention to detail for to go order was poor, even after multiple specific requests. Service was friendly, results mediocre. If you order to go, check your order carefully before leaving! Then...double check!

I was slightly disappointed given the recommendations I'd received. The food was good, but the portions were small compared to the prices and the seating was a little cramped. The standout was the service. From hostess that wait staff and even the bus boy, everyone was great.
Felt like an overpriced fast food restaurant. We paid $100 but it was like we were ripped off. Not a lot of food per meal. The seafood was the least tasty thing they gave us. Best things were the hush puppies and fries. I’m happy to pay that much for a meal if it feels like I get a really good meal. This wasn’t it. Disappointed.

Came at 6:30 on a Saturday night and it was a long wait but once we were sat the service was very quick. It took about 25 minutes from when we ordered until we had our food. They don’t do lettuce wrapped burgers but you can ask for no bun with extra lettuce on the side. The vibes were there but the food was lacking. Just nothing special.

Went in for drinks one day and Cody was the bartender! Great service! Met John (one of the owners I believe!) Came in next day with the wife and Cody remembered my name and drink which is impressive when you see so many people, especially during the UGA/Gator week! We had a great visit here. I was a little disappointed that the options were a shrimp meal or a sandwich for seafood, but my blackened fish sandwich was good. The sweet potato fries weren't my favorite but weren't bad. The coleslaw was very strong with onion (I loved it but my wife wasn't a fan). Price was on point, service was friendly, and the view was amazing. Biggest downside was all the Georgia swag but I suppose that's to be expected.

I would describe our meal here as "interesting." We had reservations through Opentable. We were drawn to the location obviously because of the views of the ocean. Our reservation time was around sunset, so it was beautiful. The service and staff were attentive but not the best and maybe seemed confused about the restaurant itself. Perhaps it was new staff. The bread service was the most unique we have had anywhere. The bread was delicious, but the butter candle lighting was not done well and was quite an experience. We liked the okra appetizer, but one of them was not edible. Entrees were very salted and could be nice for some, but it was too much for us. Overall, we feel like there is so much potential with just a few improvements to service and food.
We had a group of 9 girls on a Saturday… they had some phenomenal music guest playing that were so kind. Our food was incredible and all of the service was top notch. It does take a minute for all the food to come out but we had the best time and food at this restaurant. Thank you guys so much for our amazing experience.

It took over 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and while they initially said the drinks were on the house (which I appreciated), the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing.
I didn’t receive my food until around 8:20 PM — and meanwhile, five of my friends who were seated at a separate table nearby (with a different server) never got their food at all.
When my meal finally arrived, I found what very clearly looked like a bug or insect pupa in it. I’ve attached a photo — it had body segments and legs. The manager came over and said, “I’m not trying to be rude, but at the end of the day we’re outside,” as if that somehow made it acceptable. She said the meal would be comped, which I appreciated.
But then the server came back to charge me for the meal anyway. I told her the manager had said it would be comped due to the bug. The server denied it was a bug, claiming it was a “green,” but took the check back.
On top of all that, the rest of the food we received was extremely salty, which just added to the disappointment.
Between the unacceptable delays, the bug in my food, my friends being completely forgotten, the attitude from the staff, and the poor quality of the food, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I left feeling disgusted and disrespected.
There were good and not so good parts of our dining experience-
Let's start with the good- the waitress who I'm not sure ever gave us her name was nice and accomidating- at first however after receiving our food she did not check on us and we waited quite some time to ask for dessert and check-
The food-
We ordered the charcuterie board for an appetizer. It was good and had a good amount of variety on it-
I had the catfish and got mashed potatoes and broccoli instead of what was listed- delicious except for the broccoli - wasn't couldn't long enough-
My husband had the ribeye dinner- steak was one of the best we've had - I don't normally like steak let alone cooked medium but I tried it and it was awesome!
We ordered the peach shortcake dessert- it was ok- the main problem was we waited over 30 minutes to get it and when asked what was taking so long we were told by the hostess they had just sat a large table and that our dessert would be out soon- we then proceeded to wait another 10-15 mins for the dessert - and for a fine dining restaurant this dessert fell a little short of our expectations-
Overall, the food was good however, there are definitely room for improvement. My biggest issue was with the timeliness of the service also to be noted, which may be important to some they do not offer military discount/
I would eat there again, however a biscuit with peaches and ice cream should not take 45 minutes to come out regardless of how busy a establishment is-
We had the 18 oz ribeye and the shrimp and grits. We also had an appetizer of fried shrimp. The shrimp and grits were fantastic, definitely the star of the show. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Service was excellent.
We recently hosted an engagement dinner here for my son and his soon-to-be wife, and it could not have been more perfect. Emily helped us arrange a reservation for 30 people and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right—from the table setup to the food accommodations (our family doesn’t eat pork, and she made sure everything was tailored to that).
The view from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking, and the ambiance was unmatched. There was even great music that added to the already magical atmosphere. Everyone raved about the food—seriously, it was amazing!
Thank you to Emily and the entire team for making this such a special evening for our family. When I return to Saint Simons Island, this will always be my first stop. Highly recommend!

Sports bar atmosphere but also very laid back - service was excellent and our bartender, Cassy was fantastic! Super friendly, really attentive, and made great conversation. We may have found our new taco spot downtown.
Very good experience with this restaurant. They were busy so service was a bit slower than a 5 star experience, but the food arrived hot and was great. The music was a bit loud making conversation somewhat difficult.
My wife got the taco salad and was surprised/impressed that it had bacon on it. The beef burrito I ordered was very good, but if I go again I will definitely try the taco salad. It looked great! (She wouldn’t share… ;) )
Hubby and I went for a late lunch. We both had 2 tacos a la carte: carne asada and al pastor. I really enjoyed them both, although the al pastor with the pineapples was my favorite. We will definitely be back!
Stopped in at the SSI location. We were a group of 11 and unexpected by the restaurant. They were able to accommodate all of us. The service was very good as was the food. I had the Chorizo Enchilada which was delicious and a classic margarita. I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a nice dinner. Hats off to our server, Patrick C. he did a great job and was very attentive. Will be back soon.
Dined in on a Friday night. Loved the casual, friendly atmosphere. Not many tables, and all were full, so we sat at the bar. Bartender was great, checked on us often and kept us filled. Had the Paleo Plate and Enchiladas (pork, ground beef and chicken). Both dishes were amazing. Somehow even the black beans were better than most places! Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita!! We will definitely be back!

It's a great beach bbq restaurant, very convenient with fast service. We end up getting something different every time but it's always great. We normally walk here but parking will be a challenge if you plan to drive.

Don't let the looks of this place fool you! Such a cool vibe and delicious food, served hot! We came for a late lunch so it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If there's one thing I really appreciate, it's my food being served hot. We both got the 2 meat plate and you get 2 sides. My husband got brisket and ribs with Mac and cheese, and sweet potato tots. I got ribs and pulled pork with delicious, flavorful, and meaty baked beans, and Brunswick stew. The stew was wonderful and so hot I almost burned my mouth on the first bite. We both enjoy bbq and this food is up there with the best. Bravo! 👏👏

We had a great experience. The atmosphere is laid back, the pulled pork and smoked chicken both get 5 stars. The staff were attentive and engaging. You would not regret dining here! There are many dining options on the island but if you if want a great BBQ, this is your best option.
Simple food, nice patio seating. A little pricier than I would like for what it is, but even having said that, I loved my turkey & bacon sandwich on the toasted/grilled sourdough.

Ribs were really tender & meaty. The rub was very good. Maybe slightly too salty but I like salt anyway. Baked beans were delicious!! They had little crunchy bits of green pepper in them along with a little pulled pork. I surprisingly really liked the crunchy pepper in it. The Pulled pork was super tender and not fatty at all! The Cole slaw was also a win!! Definitely the way we like our slaw! Fresh, creamy and simple. The Brunswick stew was very yummy too. It was my first time having it, so I don't have any other to compare it to, yet....
The young man that took our order was patient and helpful in deciding what to order. I really appreciate that, as I like most food and want to try what they make really well our different.

Best sushi on the island. We enjoy the Brunswick location and decided to check this one out. We were hoping for some variation in the menu from the BWK location, but it’s about the same. It’s a little loud inside when it’s busy, but the atmosphere is definitely better than the BWK location. Service was good, but not great. We’ll definitely visit again.

We called for a big dinner to-go for a family of seven. The staff was friendly, and they prepared food on time despite being super busy. From appetizers to main dishes, from cold food to hot food, there was nothing you could complain about. WE LOVE THEM ALL! Even our dad, who doesn’t eat seafood, found something else he likes on the menu.
The price for this type of good-quality Japanese food is also terrific. For example, seven pieces of fresh sashimi cost less than $12! What a good deal! Highly recommend!
I have eaten here 6 times in the last 2 months. The staff is friendly and courteous from the start, and they want to make sure everything is as you ordered and that you enjoyed the food. They bring you a complimentary bite of the Eddy Special, which is tempura battered crab with a delicious sauce over the top. They also give you complimentary house soup which had broth, mushroom and the crunchies from tempura. We enjoyed it so much we ordered a full roll! They have a great selection of standard rolls $5; 2nd tier rolls $9.75 and specialty rolls for $12.75. This is a great option for whatever price point you want stay in. I have had rolls from all 3 options, and they were crafted with the same care and expertise. I love the spicy crab salad, and the Lucky Dragon roll is my usual! I have also ordered the chicken hibachi with fried rice that was delicious., although I wish they had hibachi noodles. They offer multi roll deals and have a lunch menu too.

We were met with friendly smiles and seated outside with a nice country field and a beautiful sunset view. The drinks were refreshing and just what I needed for such a HOT day. I really came for oyesters, and although they were a disappointment, the fish tacos made up for them. The fries and tacos were the highlights for me. All overall, a 7/10 experience and would recommend this place for a casual outting.
We had high hopes for Wolf Island Oyster Co., but the experience was a bit lackluster. We made reservations and arrived 10 minutes early, were seated promptly at our reserved time, immediately greeted by our server and then proceeded to wait 30 minutes just to get our drink order, including water. When the raw oysters arrived, they were missing the horseradish and cocktail sauce that was listed on the menu. It took another 20 minutes to get those, which was frustrating.
To be fair, our server later told us about them being short-staffed, and the food itself was delicious. (Note: Tuna Nachos sounded amazing on the menu, but underwhelming for $15 with only three chips with 4 cubes of tuna chunks on each one.) But the service definitely needs improvement. We’d consider giving it another try.
Cool location in SSI with lots of potential. We came at an “off” time on a Sunday. We were promptly greeted, then shown to a table. We waited about ten minutes to be greeted by a server and service was spotty throughout the experience. There appeared to be about 4 hostesses, two bartenders and one server working. Although the service wasn’t great, the food didn’t disappointed. The spicy sauce served with the peel and eat shrimp was unique and tasty!
The place looks great. Unfortunately at first, it didn't seem like anyone wanted to wait on us, probably because we just drove 14 hours and didn't look our best but eventually we did get waited on. The food was very good but our server was almost nonexistent. Never came to check on us, asked if we needed anything, another drink, nothing. Dropped the check as walking by. Wasn't crowded. We actually like Catch 228 and decided to try you instead. The food was good but felt very unwelcome.
This is my favorite restaurant when I’m visiting SSI! The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food is always amazing, from the appetizers to dessert and every bite in between. I can’t wait to go back!
We stopped in for cocktails on the back deck and were pleasantly surprised at the relaxed atmosphere and amazing aroma in the air, coming from the kitchen. We ended up ordering the Crab Dip with collard greens and parmesan, served with saltines with Old Bay seasoning... fantastic!
We are looking forward to returning and trying more of their food and drinks!
8 family members made up our dinner party so we reserved ahead. We were immediately seated and given menus. Great choices with something for everyone, even the land lover. Nice variety of cocktails and beers. Service was pretty spot on. I suspect the kitchen might have gotten busy unexpectedly which slowed food delivery. Would recommend reservations for larger parties as the place filled up. Will visit again on our next trip.

Favorite desserts were the Butterscotch Chess Pie and Chocolate Mousse. The crab cake was outstanding - full of lump crab and virtually no filling. The shrimp skewers and salads were flavorful. Please let me marry who ever made the pickled parsnip on the corn crusted tuna dish. How I wish I could experience that again. The first dish I dined on was the corn crusted tuna. Let me tell you this dish takes you on a flavorful journey of pure serenity. I wish I could bless this feeling on the next three generations of my family. Next I ate the pork bao buns which were enriched with a delightful texture. The sauce for the calamari made me want to do the Macarena. The main dish (summer pasta) soon arrived and let me say I would do 16 backflips to eat it again. The scallops were light and airy with a citrusy flavor. That pasta made me believe in true love. Please come with people you truly care about.
Husband and I had a date night out while the grandparents watched the baby. This place was perfect! The food was delicious. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We loved being able to order food as we ate. The old fashioned was made perfectly. GET THE CHEESECAKE. We will be making this a return place next time we are in town.
First time here and wow was it amazing. Excellent atmosphere professionally done but relaxed. Our server Hannah was super friendly and professional with perfect recommendations on wine and appetizers. But the food…5 star. Perfectly cooked and the depth of flavor of each of the four appetizers was amazing. Our drinks very well done from the friendly bartender and incredibly designed bar that adds well to the atmosphere. We chose to sit inside but outside seating looks great as well. What a jewel for Saint Simon’s Island. A big thanks for a wonderful evening!
Great little restaurant in the Pier Village! Favorite happy hour place! Always something new to try food wise and have never been disappointed! Where else can you listen to your favorite vinyl while experiencing delightful appetizers or meal? Cole and his team do an exceptional job on making sure you are totally taken care of. We loved it. My family visited Saint Simons for the first time and chose this restaurant based on all the reviews and atmosphere. It did not disappoint. The hostess was sweet and attentive and very accommodating to a little hiccup in our reservation. Our server Kayli was extraordinary! She was attentive, knowledgeable and fun. The food was the perfect combo of quality ingredients, innovative recipes and beautiful plating. My family of four loved all our dishes that we shared including the skirt steak, the curry, the bao sampler, Chicharonnes, yardbird arms and two desserts. We left stuffed and happy.

Crabdaddy's Seafood Bar Grill is a beloved dining spot on St. Simons Island, serving up locally sourced seafood and family recipes for over 30 years. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including blackened, grilled, and fried local catches such as Mahi Mahi, red snapper, grouper, salmon, and tuna. In addition to seafood, the menu features steak options and signature sauces.
Crabdaddy’s is one of our favorite spots on the island for a casual dinner and a couple beers after work.
A few highlights-
-Their sweet and sour vinaigrette is the bomb. We paid $22 for a 16 oz cup of it to take home because my husband loves it so much.
-The crab legs are the best we’ve found on the island. Compared to Crab Trap next door, you get more crab legs, salad and it’s about $15 less. They’re always cooked perfectly.
-The bread is insanely good with the cinnamon butter. A must try! It’s worth the carbs.
-Parking isn’t great on busy nights, but you can usually find something if you’re patient… or willing to risk parking in a spot that may not be an actual spot.
-We’ve never had anything we didn’t love here. Their fresh catch specials are fantastic!
-The grit fritters are something I never expected to like but they’re really good!
The only disappointment we’ve had has been the cocktails aren’t great, but that works for us, because we’ll opt for something else on nights we come here. If you’re ordering a two ingredient drink (Rum & Coke, Bourbon & Ginger, Vodka & Soda, etc), you’ll probably be fine but don’t expect complex cocktails.
All in all, this is a very solid spot and we’ll continue to return regularly.

Great food. Get there early. This place gets packed. The red snapper with jalapeno cream sauce was very tasty. It was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. The crab cakes were really good. Blackened shrimp was the best I had all week. The special was a salmon in a lemon cream sauce. My kid really liked it and it was a really nice portion. The salad and bread was really good. The cinnamon butter that comes with it was awesome. We always visit Crabdaddy's when vacationing in SSI. You can make reservations in advance, too.
Never disappoints! Started with the East Peach cocktail and we all ordered the scallops, blackened and sautéed, with green bean casserole, garlic mashed, and broccoli and sweet potato as our sides—everything was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Corinne was our server and she was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. Great food, great service, and a great night out!
Dinner our last night on SSI. We had the side salads - try all the homemade dressing- the Grouoer special, Ahi Tuna and baked potato. All super delicious. For desert we had the bread pudding which was damn good - and i don’t care for bread pudding!! 😎The best part was the EXCELLENT service from Ashley! She was amazing!!!
Crabdaddy's is busy and loud. The parking is limited. We waited 20 minutes to be seated even with reservations, and they didn't realize the table needed to be cleared still, so we waited some more. Hopefully, you don't come here too hungry because inevitably you will become hungry from just the smells and sights. We've been here a few times and it's like this every time so we've gotten used to it. Perhaps if it wasn't a restaurant near the beach it wouldn't be ok. But the food is good, staff is friendly, and it's a short walk to the King and Prince so many things can be forgiven. Reservations are recommended as walkins seem to wait an hour or more.
The food was absolutely fabulous! I ordered the half of the crab legs and OH MY GOODNESS!! The bread they serve for the table is fantastic. Loved the atmosphere. 5 stars all stars around.

The fried grit fritters were pretty tasty! I really enjoyed the Parmesan crusted chicken and angel hair. The salad and sweet/sour dressing was delicious as well. The bread was a but lacking.. could've been warmer and a bit crispier but overall was okay. Prices are a bit steep considering so be prepared. Overall, I'd recommend it and I'd likely go back when visiting the area.
We had Bella as a waitress tonight and she was awesome and took care of our needs! Felt welcomed right when we came in! Food was delicious I recommend the shrimp and grits and their bread and cinnamon butter is off the charts. Glad my family member recommended it! Will be back

We looked for a sushi spot in St. Simon’s Island to go to on our day trip, and landed on Tara’s. I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but I LOVE Thai food, so this was the perfect spot for us. My partner and son got sushi, which they said was really good. I got the drunken noodles, and our 5 year old got chicken and rice. I should point out that they do not have a kids menu, so we had to order a regular portion of rice, and then bring the rest home. Totally fine with me, because I was the one who got to eat it the next day 😁 The drunken noodles were amazing, as well as the rice that I tried the next day. I was too hungry to take a photo of our cream cheese wonton appetizer, but it was some of the best wontons I’ve had.
Our server was great as well and memorized our large order without writing it down! Highly recommend!

I honestly can't rave enough about this restaurant! It was so good that I had to order the same meal to go. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the pineapple curry fried rice with no egg and the spring rolls...AMAZING! 😍 If I ever visit St. Simon Island again this will definitely be my first stop. I'm so happy to leave a positive review about this restaurant. Between the hostess/server and the bartender...superb ladies!
The Thai food at this restaurant is not authentic; it's Americanized and should be avoided. The one positive aspect was the excellent service from our waitress.
Thai food is usually a safe choice among Asian cuisines, but this place somehow missed the mark. The "Drunken Noodles" were overly sweet, a stark departure from the typical savory and spicy profile. The noodles were also undercooked and tough, so I couldn't even finish the dish. The Tom Yum Goong soup was more savory than sour, which completely defeats the purpose of the soup.
It seems they've Americanized their food and cut corners, failing to provide an authentic dining experience to the locals.
Super tasty food here. Always tastes fresh. The Volcano Chicken is one of our favorites to get. As a sushi fan myself, I tried the Broken Heart Roll today and it was incredible. Would certainly recommend!

Great local spot to get some good Thai food. Warming Massaman curry with adjustable heat level and served with rice. Thai fried rice is crave-able and delicious. Also ordered cream cheese rangoons which were good but may try another app next time. Quick and kind service. Plenty of parking.
Would always recommend! We had dumplings as appetizer and 4 different sushi rolls. Everything was absolutely fresh and tasted fabulous. The different kinds of rolls we chose paired up well and we were 100% satisfied. The waiter was very friendly, always at hand, but never in our business which made us feel very comfortable. Me and my wife came to fiddlers at the recomendation of my parens who are locals. We rolled up and the parking was packed (good sign) luckily people were getting in their car to leave as we arrived and we got a spot up front. Walked up to the hostess and were told we had a 45 min wait.. bummer...
but also a good sign this place is legit! Went to the bar and a couple was just leaving so we snagged two seats, excellent. Then we were quickly greeted by one of the bar tenders and ordered drinks and an appetizer. Drinks came out fast and soon after ordered entrees. Bartenders worked very well together and were very johnny on the spot which makes for a great bar, they were constantly moving. Service was excellent to say the least. Received our entrees and they were good. I had the red fish and shrimp bowl and my wife had the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Food was a 4 out of 5. I think the portions could be a little larger. Overall great ambience and great service. Highly reccomend! Keep crushing it bar tenders.

I only review places that deserve a 5 star rating, and this place 100% did. While waiting for a seat, I found my vision steering towards the incredible view of local wetlands. When seated a lovely lady asked for our order and seemed genuinely content and extremely nice and understanding towards the customers. The mac and cheese. Where do I begin? That golden crust was definitely blessed by the heavens and I was lucky enough to enjoy it. I savored every bite like it was my last. They say Georgia shrimp is out of this world, and I never truly believed them until I tried this place. At first bite the shrimp looks simple. But when your mouth meets the shrimp your taste buds are welcomed to an opportunity of endless flavor complexity. Take this as advice to take life by the reins and enjoy some Georgia shrimp at Fiddlers.
Fiddlers is always an exceptional place to dine. The setting is beautiful and the service is top notch, but get there early or be prepared to wait. It gets really crowded fast! The lower food rating was because my Sandbar Pasta delicious but cold, unusual for Fiddlers. The bowls are fantastic. I highly recommend the Brunswick stew and shrimp and grits.
Good food nice location. We got there at 11:30 am for lunch. I had veggies and blackened scallops (bowl). Excellent. My wife liked her shrimp baske. Abundant shrimp portions. Go early to avoid lots of people.
Fiddlers seems to be a town favorite and with good reason! Started out with the Army and Navy cocktail and some fried green tomatoes, very impressed. They took fried green tomatoes a southern classic and made it into a classy app, balsamic with basil and pimento cheese. They paired extremely well with the tomatoes.
The main dish was superb. I got the combo redfish shrimp bowl with a side of collards.
The presentation is amazing and every part of the dish blew me away. It came with slaw, coconut rice and a side of wasabi. Drizzled with two sauces.
My only complaint is that the collard greens were way too salty. The flavor was great and the seasoning was amazing but they were far too salty, I couldn’t eat them.
Ended the night with some key lime pie, and wow. Im at a loss for words. Insanely good!! Meringue on top of the pie with the zest on top of that. Definitely more than enough for two people.

Overall I’d recommend this place to anyone!! Amazing food. Comfortable seating. Nice decor.
Love this place. Located on the marsh and my wife and I got a high top on the covered outside porch where we had a great marsh view. Food was outstanding, both had the 'bowl' with a salad base and choice of fish, shrimp, etc. Perfectly fried shrimp and my blackened scallops were excellent. Our 2nd time there and definitely will go back. Owned by the same company as Crabdaddys, which also has great food. Not the cheapest meal on the island, but worth the price.
Southern Charm at its best! Great place 1st class all the way from the minute you walk in. The waitress was great it was very busy and she was right on took our order right away if we needed anyone she got it for us right away. Our food was bought by two waiters so all four of us were served our food at one time. Great southern food. The seafood platter was fried to perfection, the smashburgers were fresh hot and juicy and the key lime pie was some of the best I ever had.The scenery outside is beautiful the restaurant is in the marsh so as you eat you get to enjoy beautiful surroundings If you live or visiting Saint Simons Island Fiddlers is a must you will be pleasantly surprised.

I went after being invited to participate in the line dancing classes, and I had an awesome time. The directions were clear and easy to understand and follow. The menu is somewhat typical bar fare, wings, and things. I had the sloppy Joe fries that were pretty good. The chicken was good all in all. I'd give the place a solid 5.

The owner Jepter is a real class act gentleman. I did some business with him supplying sone equipment. The customer service was very apparent by the way he addressed the regular customers. I love the wall hangings and lamp selections, the unique wood Lazy Susans, table toppers, coffee cups, scented candles, cheese boards, brie bakers, the cutest tea and dish towels, nice little pieces of furniture. . . . Goodness! There's so much here!! And if you don't have room in your luggage, they ship!! If you're local, even if you're staying in a hotel on the island, they deliver!!! Oh, and they make some very nice custome gift baskets! You won't want to walk away empty handed!!!

I’ll give it to him.. he’s a great salesman.. but beware.. while he’s doing his magic tricks and trying to up sale you.. you end up getting charged for things you didn’t pay for. My bill was $30 higher than what it should be and unfortunately I realized it too late. Now I see why Amazon is taking over the country. I don’t mind paying a little more for local businesses but come on.. don’t scam me out of it.

This place is incredible! Right from entering this place the energy was off the walls, in a fantastic way! The alcohol selection is amazing, the preserves and goods are wonderful but most of all Star, the bartender and manager was INCREDIBLE. He made my entire party of 4 feel so welcome! He poured us sample drinks of his most favorite things, without even us having to ask! I love this place, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy some good vibes, good drinks and a wonderful bartender!

Didn't actually eat there. Walked inside and my boyfriend and I made contact with the bartender, who said nothing (not seat yourself, i'll be right with you, or anything). Don't know if we walked in on a private party either- there was no sign indicating there was. Needless to say we walked out after that awkward customer service experience and went to Gnats Landing which was great.
They don't serve food no pool tables the music sucked and si did the service

I enjoyed the tree bar. The live band was excellent .. the buffet was friend chicken, green beans, Mac and cheese, rolls, and salad it was delicious! We went on a business trip so thas why we were served buffet and open bar.
The tree bar is sort of an indoor outdoor bar with music most nights of some sort. It's been a very popular and historic place for a long time on St Simons. Even though it's a bar you can still order from the restaurant side. They're famous for their steaks and pork chops! I love the music most of the time on the weekend. They usually have one or two bands come in like Friday night and Saturday night. There may be a cover charge so be prepared.

One complaint is when it gets busy, it seems they need another bar tender. Everyone forms a line but you have people walking up from other sides of the bar skipping everyone who has been waiting 10+ minutes.
