Mexican restaurant
Gluten-free restaurant
Mika Airlie BBQ & Bar is a Latin American restaurant with an open-air setting that's perfect for watching the golden hues of sunset. The restaurant's biggest draw cards are its fruity and punchy sangria jugs, as well as its delicious share platters piled with freshly grilled meats, vegetables and breads. There's also regular live music to enjoy, 1kg of wings available daily and value for money beer or cocktail jugs.
Had a wonderful dinner here with hubby on our last night of holidays here at Airlie beach. We came at a different time just for drinks, and we definitely recommend trying the margaritas! We came tonight for the food and it was absolutely outstanding, I ordered the sizzling fajitas with chicken and I definitely recommend trying it! It comes with 4x soft tortillas and 3x sides/fillings - cheese, sour cream and avocado. It was 10/10, hubby had the enchiladas and he enjoyed it too. Staff were welcoming upon arrival, they had music on in the background but it wasn’t loud that you couldn’t hear yourself talk. I wish we had a place like this close to where we are! Cannot recommend this place more! Also recommend trying the coconut margarita if you like coconut and the thick cheesy garlic bread as a starter. 👌🏾

Mika Airlie kitchen and bar. A beautiful Mexican style restaurant located in the heart of Airlie Beach overlooking the beautiful Whitsundays Shoreline. This establishment of a range of food and drink for absolutely everybody. With tasty cocktails and a fresh delicious Mexican inspired menu. Staff are super friendly and helpful, Extremely short, wait times, Incredibly clean. On site amenities. On street parking or close car parks. Fairly priced and good portion sizes full of flavour. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas with great ambience . Would recommend visiting Mika Airlie Beach kitchen and bar.

Another happy feed for us. Nice location upstairs, overlooking the street & sea. Mexican themed, lots of bright colours & offering great drinks and food. Service by the team was awesome, all happy to be there and serving their patrons "thank you". We'd happily eat their again

Mika is a great modern Mexican restaurant. They are super family-friendly, with a kids’ menu and colouring activities. We enjoyed their tacos, burrito bowl, lime pepper calamari, and quesadillas. All the food was fresh and delicious. Went down well with some beer, and smoothies too! We had a great view of the ocean, and there’s a beautiful umbrella installation in their dining room as well. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend a visit!

Meals were ok. Don’t expect to stay too long. It is more like a fast food restaurant than somewhere you’d sit and stay for a while. The mojito was good though!
Paula M — Google review
Choose to have the tapas option, so had lots of little plates instead of one meal. Food came out crazy fast. Nachos were partially burnt when they came out. Had to check with staff if halloumi sticks were cooked from frozen as they were strangely mushy on the inside (they confirmed it was fresh). The food was just ok on this evening. Staff wasn’t particularly warm, don’t expect long conversations or long laughs with them. Will not be in a rush to go back.
Craig B — Google review
I was disappointed. I'd heard the food was good here, but I found it mediocre, nothing special. The quantity was a bit on the low side so if you're a hungry lad, I'd think twice. I made the mistake of ordering their special spicy margarita and it was horrible. It tasted like 2 teaspoons of tabasco had been added to a sugary drink. It was so hot I couldn't drink it and I can eat food with a lot of chilli. That drink was only for masochists or the drunk. I won't be going back.
Judy S — Google review
This fantastic restaurant in the heart of Airlie Beach, offers a menu that sets it apart from competing local venues 🏆 We found the combination of food, beers, wine and cocktails made this an awesome place to enjoy a great meal 😋 Located a level above the street, gives patrons a great view of the water. However, we could find a lift and the stairs may present a problem for patrons with mobility issues Couldn’t fault our delicious meals, the great service or location and the pay as you order arrangement saves splitting bills at the end of a meal 👍 Thank you Mika, our group enjoyed a fabulous evening ❤️

Bar
Restaurant
Anchor Bar is a popular spot in Airlie Beach, offering stunning elevated sea views and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu features a variety of hearty meals including fish tacos, pork belly burgers, and share plates. Visitors can also enjoy cocktails by the pool while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Coral Sea. With its picturesque location and delicious food options, Anchor Bar is an ideal destination for both lunch and dinner.
Tucked away amongst the terraces, we wouldn't even have known Anchor Bar was there except for great reviews on Google, and recommendations from our resort staff (different resort to where Anchor Bar is located). We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly, courteous, attentive, professional. Our party of four shared two platters between us – the Can't Decide Platter, and the Seafood Platter. The assortment of foods was all delicious, and though we all ate to full, we still had a little bit left over to take home. 😋 Personal highlights: fresh shucked oysters, mussels, pork ribs, pork belly, sweet potato fries. But honestly, everything was good.
Clem F — Google review
We were advised of this place from a local. It’s not on the main strip but only a short stroll away. There weren’t many people there on the day we went so service was attentive. The view is spectacular. The chicken wings scrumptious and the spicy cherry margarita absolutely divine. There is a pool to have a swim in if you so desire.
Sasha D — Google review
Absolutely Fantastic! My wife and I have visited Airlie Beach 3 times in recent months and couldn’t possibly recommend the Anchor Bar more highly. Maybe 10 times eating here because of the exceptional food, drinks, service and view. A faultless menu that keeps us coming back. Pick anything on the menu and you can’t go wrong - but a special tip of my hat to the brilliant Mussels in a tomato chilli broth, the scallops & pork belly, the scallop ceviche and the fall off the bone ribs. Run by a super cool dude (Cheers Brett 🍻), his family and a staff that do a credit to attending the floor and anyone’s needs. Super chilled and friendly vibe that makes it a pleasure to be there. Beautiful views and cocktails also. We are going back for dinner tonight and so were the people we met one table over. Exceptional place Brett, a credit to you and can’t wait to come back.
Dave S — Google review
Great Food, Friendly Service, Meh Cocktails Anchor Bar’s chicken wings were crispy, flavorful, and everything you'd hope for. The steak was above average with sweet corn sauce. But the standout? The coconut jackfruit curry — unexpectedly amazing, rich, and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Only letdown? The cocktails which fell flat and were underwhelming or it could be the cocktail that we had that day and so we decided not to go for another one. Stick to beer or soda and enjoy the great food.
L J — Google review
The Anchor Bar was a great find over the road from our accommodation (Toscana Village Resort). Our meals were great - prawn Caesar salad and fish & chips. The barramundi was amazing! Only negative was the music was really loud.
Paula M — Google review
Delicious food, great service and lovely views! Came here for dinner as 4 and got the Can’t Decide platter, jackfruit curry and chicken wings. The platter was fantastic, everything was delicious with the ribs and pork belly being the highlight. it’s probably enough for 4 people. The jackfruit curry was also sensational - amazing flavour. Wings were good, house spicy sauce was a bit better than the buffalo. All in all the food was exceptional, would recommend!
Andrew — Google review
Where do I even start?!? The most phenomenal service (shoutout to bree! You are so bubbly and cheerful it was contagious, made our experience here amazing!) first of all the scallop ceviche was incredible, everything that our group ordered was just perfection! The ribs, tender falling of the bone and the sauce?!?!? Ugh wonderfull! Cannot speak more highly of this place!
Trinity O — Google review
Calamari - very crispy and well seasoned, the side salad was amazing (lemon jus paired well and balanced with the calamari) Lamb stew - pesto sauce was amazing, although the feta cheese is a bit salty, yoghurt sauce is excellent A bit disappointed with the beef steak sandwich - the steak was not tender / flavor of the beef was not that rich Staff are friendly and good environment / vibe , need additional costs for extra sauces

Nestled in the heart of Airlie Beach, KC's Bar & Grill is a beloved local haunt that radiates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With its eclectic decor and warm acoustic vibes, this venue has been a staple for over 30 years, offering live music nearly every night along with spontaneous jam sessions that create an unforgettable experience. The menu boasts an impressive selection of classic steaks alongside unique Aussie game meats like kangaroo and crocodile, ensuring there's something for everyone.
This chef at drop of a hat served a 10/10 tatar to bleu 28 day aged 300g rib fillet. It was a beautiful tasting steak. If you like your steak look at the meat fridge.
Sha H — Google review
We ordered the Picanha steaks, and with the first two bites we were blown away with the delicious flavours that the rub and fatty layer add to the meat. Unfortunately, the thick part of the steak was too under for my liking - my daughter’s steak was almost blue-rare and the plate was full of steak blood. The mushroom and the truffle butter sauces were very nice. The lime mint drink was really refreshing. There’s live music which is great, but makes it quite hard to hear others. Service was top notch.
D G — Google review
Delicious pub style food. Enjoyed what we ordered. Large serving sizes for the price. However, there was a mistake with our booking. Called up a few days ago and booked a table for two. Turned up and no booking existed. So the lady I spoke to had clearly forgot to write my booking down. The female worker at the entrance was a bit unhelpful and made us feel as though we stuffed up, not them…she didn’t own the mistake or problem solve anything. She walked away (leaving us a bit confused) and a kind gentleman walked over and quickly rectified the situation in 10secs. Lucky…because we were about to walk away hungry to eat elsewhere. Thus why I had to give 4 stars. Other than that, the food came out fast and we didn’t stick around for dessert because we could see they were busy and people were lining up to get a table. My advice for improving your service would be to allow online bookings. This will prevent mistakes from happening.

Great food, great service and a fabulous atmosphere. I went here several times while I was in Airlie and I had my final meal here before I left the next day plus a birthday drink. Highly recommend Hope to be back next year.
Kim K — Google review
We came here to try the Australian game platter, which consists of emu sausages, boar meatballs, a crocodile skewer and a kangaroo steak. It did not disappoint! I love how the steak was medium rare and juicy. The only point for improvement would be to serve the meat warmer. It went cold quite fast after coming to our table. The meatballs were also slightly too spicy for my liking, but I suppose everyone's tastes are different! Staff is friendly.
Maïlys — Google review
The only reason this place gets 4 stars is because I couldn’t try the crocodile, despite being gluten free, everything prepared on the grill is not coeliac safe. There were plenty of gluten free options, and the prawns were exceptional - very fresh. The service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I would recommend- quality of the food and service was fab.
Em — Google review
Hustle and bustle at KCs - a good vibey restaurant with great service the staff were ON IT!!! Very attentive. The croc skewers were the first time trying croc and thoroughly enjoyed. Choice of steaks good at not the highest graded quality beef, but priced fairly and cooked to perfection! Would return for a big ol feed
Ciara G — Google review
Just want to say I had lunch here today, on a Saturday, the food was great. Got the platter with all the game meats. Had an absolute quality whisky shot. Their bourbon and whisky menu is awesome. The food was awesome, hreya location. The aussie guy who served us was welcoming and friendly- and that makes a difference in my book.. can't wait until I'm back in NTH QLD..

The Garden Bar Bistro is a charming dining spot located at Coral Sea Marina, offering a secluded and intimate setting amidst the bustling Airlie Beach. With its lush shrubbery and twinkling lights, it provides a perfect backdrop for savoring lychee martinis and passionfruit caprioskas. The venue's indoor-outdoor design captures the laid-back essence of the tropical Whitsunday Coast, while its seafood-focused menu perfectly complements the balmy climate.
Amazing food and service! We came here twice because of the friendly staff — definitely the best place in Airlie Beach. Prices are fair for the high-quality food and the service always comes with a smile. Perfect place to see the sunset 😍

I recently celebrated my 21st at The Garden Bar Bistro, and it was truly a night to remember. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the event feel special, seamless, and stress-free. Organising the event months prior was also seamless and I had guidance and recommendations throughout the whole process. The service was incredibly timely and thoughtful — from the smooth drink service to the beautifully presented pre-ordered platters, everything was handled with care and attention to detail. The staff were not only friendly but genuinely attentive to our needs throughout the evening, ensuring everyone felt looked after and welcome. The ambiance of the venue was just perfect. The relaxed garden setting, warm lighting, and open-air vibe created the ideal atmosphere for a memorable celebration with family and friends. It struck the perfect balance between casual and classy, making it feel both intimate and fun. So many of my guests commented on how lovely the venue was and how well everything was run. I’m so grateful to The Garden Bar Bistro team for helping make my 21st so special — I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any event or even just a great night out.

What a location, looking over the marina with all the amazing yachts and waters edge. Service by the team is perfect, welcomed, thanked & wished us a good rest of the afternoon- thank you, greatly appreciated! Food looked awesome for what we saw come out, we just stopped by for some marina side drinks 🍹🍻

Lovely foods, taste was so good, delicious ☺️Beautiful location too. We had dinner there could see 2 large group of people celebrating occasions there. Although they were so busy, there was no issues or delays in servicing our food.

We had the most amazing night! Joan was the best host we could’ve asked for. Even though we couldn’t confirm our booking due to a mistake, he made sure we had a table for the whole evening. The vegan curry was incredible and the drinks were outstanding! To top it off, Joan surprised my husband with a cute birthday treat that made our night even more special. Thank you! 😍

Wonderful dinner this evening...Thai Fish Curry, and Brownie Dessert. Yummy Yum Yum Rum cocktail. Friendly waitress Eva from France, helped with our selection and gave us excellent service. One of the best meals and atmosphere ever. And nice to meet the charming manager Andrew. We will be back!
Jolgas — Google review
We went there to celebrate my sister 30th birthday. The grill fish was alright. One side of the fish was good, the other side was super dry. I didn’t know was dry on one side, and I shared some of the fish to my sister. The lamb with mash was not very good. First of all, my friend asked the staff if they can put some note she would like well done. When the lamb dish came, it was medium-rare. The lovely waitress took it back and came back well done, but overall still below average. My sister had the seafood risotto. I’m sorry. It’s probably the worst seafood risotto I had in my life. The seafood wasn’t fresh at all. My sister didn’t like it and me neither. She had to squeeze lots of lemon on her seafood. The best parts of the dinner were the cocktails. They were all above average. I would only recommend the drinks.

Words can't even begin to describe this restaurant. I have travelled from Gold Coast where we have access to amazing seafood where I thought I couldn't get it better anywhere else. Well how I've eaten my own words. We ordered a dozen oysters, a garlic bread and the seafood platter. Firstly, those oysters 😋 😍 so fresh and delicious. I could have eaten them all-night. Secondly, that garlic bread. I would travel back to Airlie Beach just to eat that garlic bread. In my 34 years of living, i have NEVER had garlic bread so good. How does one even do this? But you have! Lastly, the seafood platter- was recommended for 2. 3 of us ate it and couldn't finish it. Such a generous amount of food and really good value for money. All the seafood was so fresh and delicious. Extra points to the chefs for leaving the Roe on the scallops- this is a rarity these days I cannot fault this place at all. If I could give a higher star rating, I would. I 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant. All staff were interactive and nothing was too difficult for them. We were able to swap some things out on a seafood platter for something else. Next time I'm in Airlie Beach, I will 100% be returning to your restaurant. My partner is a chef who can pick apart any meal. Nope, not this time! He couldn't fault it at all either! (That's saying alot)
Olivia M — Google review
My family and I are here on holiday. We came here for dinner in hopes to find a good fresh seafood place! We originally had our reservation inside however we asked to move outside, staff were absolutely amazing! They were able to move our booking without a fuss, we were served by a gentleman who had shaved blonde hair, his service was outstanding, kind and had perfect communication. 🙌🏼 Drinks were refreshing and delicious, perfect balance for the type of food and gorgeous weather at Arlie! The food was out of this world!! Compliments to the chefs - my parents had the seafood platter for 2 + 1/2 dozen oysters: the seafood was fresh, delicious and had a great variety of different types of seafood which was all paired beautifully with the sauce!! 10/10. I had the seafood chowder, this dish is one of my all time favourites and I have to say chefs you nailed it!!! Best chowder I’ve had!! Again flavours were paired perfectly and the ‘cobloaf’ style the meal had just made the whole dish feel like home! This restaurant is pricey but expected as you get what you’re paying for in perfect service and great food and drinks!! I can’t recommend Fish D’vine enough!! We will be back next time we visit 🙌🏼🙌🏼 🙌🏼 Experience 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Food + Beverage 10/10 Thank you for having us and making our stay so special and memorable!

Excellent place in Airlie for Seafood and cocktails! Our whole meal was delicious from the amazing Soft shell crab which has this delicious brown sweet sauce with it that ties it all together, the grilled prawns & scallops were devine, Burramundi cooked to perfection and a very authentic tasting Chowder similar to one I have had in San Fran! They offer a great selection of drinks and desserts that you will not be disappointed.
Darryl A — Google review
Overall good food, service and location. The mud crab was big and with a tasty sauce (Thai Curry had coconut milk in it) and barramundi was fresh, as were oysters, and the bread was delicious. Overall good lunch, about $$$ in price.
Jennifer S — Google review
Amazing cocktails, food (which wasn't overly expensive) and service. Cannot fault and would definitely go back again. My partner and I tried 6 cocktails between us and all were delicious. We had the BBQ prawns and Ginger oysters for entree. Both were so nice and you could tell the seafood was fresh. We had the Thai fish curry and BBQ bugs for mains. The best fish curry I have ever eaten. The bugs were also great and a nice light dish. Dessert we had the brownie and mousse. Again, we couldn't fault. The restaurant was really busy but our waitress Celine did a great job. She was running from table to table and no one was left waiting very long for anything. I wish we were here longer to go back.
Brooke I — Google review
If you are looking to have amazing seafood, coke here right now!!! Their fish and chips are one of the best I’ve had in my life, the soft shell crab was divine as in the name, and everything else we ordered was just amazing including the drinks! The staff were so friendly and the food came out quite quickly. Because if our amazing experience, we booked another dinner here 🥳

Sorrento Restaurant & Bar is a laid-back establishment with a deck offering scenic views of the water. It specializes in serving upscale bistro dishes with a focus on seafood. Located in Airlie Beach, it provides a romantic setting for couples, making it ideal for occasions like weddings, proposals, and anniversaries. The restaurant's prime location in the north marina village offers unparalleled views of the marina and Whitsunday Islands.
We stumbled upon Sorrento Restaurant and Bar at Coral Sea Marina (yep, the one with the killer views of the yachts and that sea breeze that makes you forget about your emails), and what a find it was. From 3 to 4pm, they do 2-for-1 wood-fired pizzas – and let me tell you, these are not your average pizzas. We’re talking proper wood-fired beauties with a crispy base, generous toppings, and enough flavour to make you forget you're supposed to be "sharing". We tried the prosciutto and the BBQ chicken — both were absolute winners. Then came happy hour from 4 to 5pm — perfect timing, like they knew we’d need something cold to wash down all that pizza. A few cold beers and cocktails later, and we were very happily parked in paradise. The staff were friendly, quick on their feet, and somehow managed to keep things moving despite the place filling up fast. It’s clearly a local favourite, and now we know why. Views? Incredible. Food? Delicious. Deals? Unbeatable. Hot tip: Grab a table on the balcony if you can – the view alone is worth a visit, even without the pizza (but why would you skip the pizza?). Already planning a return visit. Might even show up at 2:59pm just to make sure we don’t miss a second.

We dined last night for my wife and I, 20th wedding anniversary and asked staff when booking if we could get the terrace section. We were extremely happy with the table we got as we got to dine and enjoy the sunset. The food was amazing, and staff were always coming to ask if we needed any extra drinks and if everything was ok. Highly recommend.. made our night that extra special!!

delicious! it was the best meal i had on this trip! for mains we got the seafood platter and marinara pasta. for dessert we had the affogato and tiramisu. my partner said the tiramisu was the best he had!

Another great location overlooking the marina/s sea. Outdoor seating is the goal, upper deck the most popular. Lower deck is still great, live music sets the scene. Great service, greeted upon arrival, all staff are happy and smiling. Foods great, eye fillet was the standout dish for us 👌 Good menu for both food and drink 🍻

This is a popular restaurant with a crazy beautiful view over the harbour, perfect for sunset time. We did not expect it, but they gave us a table just for drinking a few glasses of wine. It was a fantastic unforgettable sunset at this amazing restaurant and bar!

The table I booked at Sorrento for a romantic dinner with my wife was right on the outer edge of the verandah, giving us an uninterrupted view of a gorgeous sunset. We ordered the seafood platter for two. Fantastic super-fresh fish, calamari, crab, mussels and lots more did not disappoint. All that, combined with friendly, professional service ensured a memorable night's dining. We'll be back.

We were attracted by the pasta day promotion when we walked past. There were a lot of people and we were curious to check it out. There is a big pasta and pizza menu, and we tried one pizza and one pasta dish. Both dishes were actually really good and has a pure Italian taste. Highly recommended!

Decent food, decent price, decent service. Solid breakfast option that can’t go wrong, but you probably won’t save it has the highlight of your trip. We had the chicken and waffles, and eggs on toast. Both were a good size, well cooked and had distinct flavours that worked well. The coffee was middle of the road. There is nothing I disliked about the meals, they just didn’t have the “wow” factor of some other places. It is mostly unavoidable but the location with a busy road can be a challenge if people with loud vehicles are around. Nothing can be done to fix that, maybe just sit inside if it bothers you.

Randomly picked this restaurant after a stroll in Airlie Beach and it did not disappoint. We came pretty late (like 10 minutes before they closed the lunch menu) but the staff were super friendly and polite, letting us know they were about to switch menus. We ordered quickly and got the fish and chips and burgers. The fish and chips were amazing! I’m not even a big fish person but this was golden brown perfection, crispy outside, flaky and melt-in-your-mouth inside. Not fishy nor greasy at all. It came with a fresh green goddess arugula salad and hot, crispy chips straight from the fryer. Perfect lunch. The location is great too, right near the beach and the ferris wheel. Fast, friendly service and good vibes. Definitely recommend!

Great service, had the seafood platter for 2 which we very much enjoyed, venue itself and the atmosphere was very nice. Been here for breakfast express too and also enjoyed that.

Great location, nice cool breeze. Prompt friendly service. Coffee was good, not too weak. Food was well presented, good proportions, fresh and tasty. Enjoyed it, so we've booked again

Nice wood fire pizza with great dough and unusual toppings - we had the vegetarian and the harissa lamb, with Kirkpatrick oysters. Tasty. Service a little slow but it was a Saturday evening. Enjoyable date night in a great spot in Airlie beach

Italian restaurant
La Tabella Italian is a popular dining spot in Airlie Beach, offering a refined and picturesque setting with water views. The restaurant serves a variety of Italian dishes that cater to both locals and tourists. With its laid-back ambiance and stunning ocean vistas, the Sorrento Restaurant & Bar provides a memorable dining experience by combining Italian and seafood specialties.
As Italians visiting Airlie Beach, we couldn’t have been happier with our experience at La Tabella. The food is authentic and delicious, but what made the evening truly unforgettable was Stefano. He is not only the manager but also personally looked after us at the table. Coming all the way from Milan, he brings true Italian passion and hospitality with him. Stefano went above and beyond – preparing a special pizza with genuine Italian ingredients just for us, serving excellent pasta, and even offering us an amaro to finish the night in the most authentic way. Hearing so much Italian spoken around us made us feel instantly at home, almost as if we were back in Italy. Stefano’s warmth, professionalism, and personal touch turned a great dinner into a perfect evening. If you are in the Whitsundays and want real Italian cuisine combined with outstanding hospitality, La Tabella — and especially Stefano — are an absolute must!

If you’re paying over $30 for a pasta dish you expect it to be hot and presented well. The waitress explained the dish was hot, do not touch it. The dish was extremely hot but the food was not, there was hardly any meat and the pasta was overcooked. The waitress was lovely but unfortunately I couldn’t grab her attention to discuss my cold dish due to her being so busy attending to all tables upstairs on the balcony. I have never wrote a single bad review but this place really didn’t impress me at all.
Jenna M — Google review
Felt so nice to actually have table service and our waitress was extremely helpful! Wine and cocktails were good, wine was decently priced. Ordered the specials and my only little irk was that my fish was supposed to be in a lemon caper butter sauce and there was one caper and did not taste the sauce at all, I had to squirt my own lemon wedge which didn’t really taste at all. Otherwise perfectly cooked

Wonderful Italian restaurant with lovely prompt staff. Great menu - fresh pasta made on site. I had the Best Seafood Ravioli I've ever had with a Bug tails & King Prawns. Burrata for Entree, Crème Brûlée & Torte also did not disappoint. Highly Recommend.
Leanne P — Google review
I was really excited to try La Tabella as an Italian restaurant ! Once our plates arrived, we were all very disappointed in the food, not much taste or flavour, very bland. First the burrata we ordered (28$) had no flavour and no pesto.. The pizza we ordered wasn’t a pizza but a Calzone with no base, and no mention of “a folded pizza” in the menu but “filled” which sucks as we wanted to share the 3 pizzas we ordered. And the pasta… Disappointing. Very overpriced for the quality. No waiter asked us how the food was, and started taking empty plates when some of us were still eating, not very professional for this type of restaurant. We explained the situation to the waiter, he apologised but that’s all.

We had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant! We ordered the octopus, seafood pasta, burrata, and tiramisu everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent, very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

unexpected nice food here ! Ragu tomato sauce Super Al dente pasta , well balanced with cheese and ragu well seasoned pasta is a must try Octopus was grilled nicely , you can feel the crispiness of the char , broccolini grilled well, smashed potato is silky Unfortunately couldn’t try the pizza Oysters are fresh but a bit small

I had an absolutely incredible experience at La Tabella with my friends! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The eye fillet was outstanding — fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. A special shoutout to our waitress, Clara, who truly made the evening unforgettable. She was attentive, friendly, and knew the menu inside and out. Her recommendations were spot on, and her genuine warmth made us feel so welcome. Between the amazing food, wonderful ambiance, and Clara’s exceptional service, La Tabella has easily become one of my favourite restaurants and I have been back since!

Asian fusion restaurant
Nestled in a charming alleyway between the lagoon and main street, Cool Lala Modern Asian Cuisine is a delightful pan-Asian restaurant that promises to satisfy every palate. With an extensive menu that caters to everyone—from spice lovers to those with dietary restrictions—this eatery is perfect for anyone looking for a casual yet fulfilling dining experience. After a day of sun and surf, indulge in their Feed banquet menu or treat yourself to one of their oversized bubble teas.
Walked in just after Cool Lala opened for the night and there were plenty of seats available. The servers were very friendly and our drinks came almost instantly after ordering. Had the Tofu and Korean Fried Chicken starters and wow, they were packed with flavour and cooked so well. For our mains, the Spicy Chicken, Beef Cheeks and a side of rice (if you want rice be sure to order a side) and the chicken was crispy with an amazing chilli sauce, and the beef cheeks fell apart. The atmosphere was great (very little people there) and the tables and spaced comfortably apart. Well done, will definitely be returning.
Jordan B — Google review
Really nice vibe and the staff are friendly! Korean Fried Chicken was delicious. Veggie Oyster Sauce Stir Fry was really bland and a bit too much broccoli compared to other veggies. The Sweet & Sour Pork was tasty, the pork was very moist and flavoursome. Didn’t expect so much ice in the cocktail, not my personal fav, but tasted okay.
Hannah J — Google review
The restaurant is not cramped up, like some are in Airlie. Service team are very pleasant. We had the Korean Chicken for entree it was so yum, sticky and delicious! Main - Beef Cheeks ! So tender and flavourful! but remember to order a side as it doesn’t come with vegetables. Then we had Thai fried chicken which was good too, but would be even better with a small salad beside it, like a green paw paw salad! We will definitely be back.

Our friends who live locally took us here for dinner. The food is simple yet delicious. I love how they suggest food for our table. The sides of kimchi and seaweed is also nice. A blend of all asian food. I also like how unique the cocktail they offer. I got the one with the popping bubbles and it was yummy. The wait person are also very friendly and accommodating. I highly suggest this restaurant when you visit Airlie.

This place serves amazing asian food!! The cocktails were incredible. We came for a xmas party for 30ppl. We had preordered our food which came in handy as everything came out pretty fast and well organized. Drink service could have been a little faster but we were ordering cocktails so understandable that they take time to make. Everything was fresh and delicious! Overall very satisfied and will definitely be returning!
Trixie B — Google review
Good food, good atmosphere, nice friendly staff. The fish tartare which costs $24 is really really small portion so takes that in mind. I love the ramen and fried rice, beef cheek is a bit bland. We came the second time, and the blu chic mock-tail is worse than the first time, so not consistent, you can see in the first pic i post is the second time, and the last is the first. While the first time i came it has a strong blue colour, with jellies and popping pearl while 2nd is almost light blue and popping pearls only, tastes like regular soda. Ramen and fried rice saved the day.

A very interesting, modern, Asian Fusion restaurant. I was there on Halloween night, without a booking, and just got the last table. Very roomy restaurant, but also a very busy place. The locals must like it ! Food was great, lots of variety. I had the Pad Thai, which was delicious, but just a touch too oily for me. Staff very friendly. All dressed up for a big night. Nice background music.

Had both lunch (dine in) and dinner (takeaway) on my recent visit with family to the Airlie Beach for a couple of days. Loved everything we tried. Stand outs would have to be the Taiwanese Chicken Bites and the calamari. Decent beer selection. Great service and location

Everything was good but prices were not. Service was friendly and time was about right for the amount of people. $8 for a very small bottle juice however is ridiculous. Was expecting fresh juice but was okay with bottled until I saw the price.

Great eggs! Great coffee! 👌🏼 Good food, location & staff. Definitely recommend for breakfast. Very peaceful early in the morning.

The location is excellent, offering an inviting atmosphere. The beverage selection was solid — the vegan chai, in particular, was flavourful. Service operates on a table-service model, which led to a noticeable delay before our order was taken. The food also took a while to arrive. We tried the vege breakfast taco, which was enjoyable in terms of taste. However, given the price point, the portion size felt somewhat underwhelming.

We had the pleasure of hosting a morning tea at this venue and we were so happy with the food, the service and the relaxed vibe. From initial enquiry to on the day, the team were exceptional in ensuring everything went smoothly and was of a high standard. Great coffee and some of the best chocolate brownies I've ever had. We had many compliments from our guests on the food. Cannot wait visit again :)

Enjoyed the meal, glad to have a few items a bit different to the normal breakfast menu. Keen to come back and try a couple other items. As nice as it was, the eggs runny in the tacos. I like runny eggs bit maybe bit firmer in this dish would suit better. We fortunate enough to have a great musician too as part of the Airlie Beach Festival of music!

Nice venue with good coffee. Staff were friendly but the service was very slow, we had to wait just over 30 mins for breakfast (for 2 people). I ordered avo on toast, the food was cold, the toast wasn’t toasted, the poached egg was hard (very disappointing when you order and expect a propper poached egg). I would go again for take away coffee only, but definitely not for food.

Eastwoods Dining offers a delightful start to your holiday with its focus on bold South East Asian flavors and the option to share plates. The restaurant overlooks the stunning Airlie Beach foreshore, providing a beautiful backdrop for enjoying delicious food and drinks. One recommended dish is the Tiger Prawn Betal Leaf & Sticky Pork Ribs. While some diners praise the generous portions and flavorful chicken stir fry, others express disappointment with the portion size of certain dishes.
Fantastic service, friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere. We sat outside, the tables were nicely spaced apart which allowed us to talk and hear one another comfortably. Outdoors is pet friendly, we had a poodle and he was well received by staff. Food was SENSATIONAL! Our young children enjoyed the food and were very impressed by the presentation.

Calamari and chicken wings for entrees were great. Penang beef curry for main was brilliant. Great balance of salt, chilli, sweet and lime. One of the best Malaysian style curries I’ve ever had.

Honestly, well done for offering such a great vegan menu! I always make sure to stop by for a feed whenever I’m in Airlie Beach. The chefs do an amazing job, and the service is both quick and welcoming. The English girl at the host stand was absolutely lovely and managed to get us a table even without a booking. And our waitress (Irish blond girl) I believe named Ciara looked after us all night, and was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and helpful. My parents went for non-vegan dishes and loved them just as much, which says a lot. Big thanks to the whole team for making the night so enjoyable!

We visited as a family of six, including one child, and ordered 4 entrées, 5 mains, plus drinks for everyone. The food presentation was excellent and very appealing. However, as an Asian family, we felt the flavors didn’t quite match our taste preferences. The dishes may be more enjoyable for European or Australian palates, but for us, the taste wasn’t as satisfying as the presentation Costing is not bad as front beach view 500 dollars ish

If you can only choose 1 place to eat out in Airlie choose here!!! Phenomenal food and exceptional service in a lovely setting. We went fishing the day prior and jumped off the boat and brought our filleted fish straight to Eastwoods with a recommendation from the guys we fished with at Airlie Beach Fishing Charters. The chefs prepared our fish and the next evening we dined. We were presented with a fish curry and a fish stir fry. Both were absolutely outstanding. Id confidently say the curry was the best in the world! The flavours were just insane. We loved the whole experience and highly recommend. If I could give more stars I would.

We were so glad to have come across Eastwoods during our stay in Airlie - an absolute local gem! In fact, it was so good we went back a second time during our four-night stay. The place has a good vibe with cosy outdoor dining on the Esplanade, not to mention some lovely friendly staff. My standout favourite was the Penang beef curry, just incredible! The crispy chicken wings were a very close second. And the fact there was a separate vegan menu was great for our group as well. Thank you Eastwoods team, we can’t wait to hopefully come back again in future.

need to book this resto when you are around ! Often full house Beef taretare - unexpectedly refreshing, with lemon grass and cilantro, matched punchlines of the the chili oil Eggs - caramelized say sauce is a bit too sweet, average soft boiled egg , is not a must Mango salad - very tasty green mango salad , creamy mint mayo brings the freshness of the dish, chicken is tender, portion is huge, paired well with lemon grass and cilantro as well Panang curry - beef is a bit tough , not fatty enough, the curry is extremely favorable, savory , however we need to pay extra for the rice

The cafe has garnered positive reviews for its friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere. It's a great spot to relax, whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a satisfying meal.
This is such a pleasant cafe to visit. The scenery and staff were free flowing and very attentive. The burger buns were so soft and the filling was so well put together. The Acai Bowl and the salads were so fresh and generous in portions. Last but not least, the popcorn was so addictive! And they gave us free refills! Definitely will come here again if I’m ever in the area! Such an awesome vibe and range on the menu!

This morning my partner and I had breakfast here for the first time. We ordered a breakfast burger and their daily special “fox in socks” (scrambled eggs with chili on sourdough) with two lattes. The atmosphere is just beautiful and you can see the food is freshly prepared using real whole food ingredients. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs very much - unlike many other cafes it was not a mixture but just using real eggs only! Unfortunately even though I love spices my meal was way too spicy that it overpowered everything else and you couldn’t taste anything else. The waitress serving us the coffee was a bit rude towards us. The coffee was served with a bite of brownie which was divine! So so good and I would love to try their banana bread next time.

Indian restaurant
Lovely India is a hidden gem in Airlie Beach, Queensland, offering a wide range of authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries along with freshly baked naan breads. The restaurant provides a great atmosphere with welcoming staff and decorative interior. It's known for serving the best Indian dishes in the Whitsundays.
We had a booking at 6pm for 4 and were seated immediately. Had a great chat with the staff and the food was tasty. At no point did we feel rushed or like we were burdening anyone with our presence. I am genuinely surprised by some of the reviews as it seems like they didn’t eat at the same restaurant we were at. The beef and chicken dishes were literally melt in your mouth and the onion bahji was the best I’d tasted. Will be coming back for sure.
Skye T — Google review
I’d like to provide some feedback regarding my recent experience. The chicken served was cold and seemed undercooked, and the butter naan was missing butter. When I tried to share this feedback politely, the staff member was unexpectedly rude and aggressive, which made the situation even more disappointing. I believe customer feedback should be received respectfully, and I hope you can take this matter seriously and address it with your team.
RO H — Google review
Clean premises, nice atmosphere. Food was slightly less than average in quality and presentation (compared to other Indian restaurants of the region, but since there are no competitors within Airlie Beach, this is probably the only choice). The lady who served us (owner I believe) was not particularly abusive or anything, but she was blunt and made us feel we were unwelcome. Would have preferred food-grade paper instead of horse-betting newspaper the rotis were served on.
Nishan S — Google review
The food was cold, it tasted bad, not cooked properly, on the butter naan it does not have butter on it, I felt like frozen food was microwaved and gave to us. After I ate that food, I vomited 🤢 I never recommend anyone never go to this place.
Makthala A — Google review
I really wanted to like this place, but honestly, it was a huge letdown. The service was super slow, and our server seemed totally uninterested in being there. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and not at all what we expected. My dish was supposed to be a flavorful, but it tasted bland and under seasoned. My friend's dish was overcooked and tough. The atmosphere was also a miss—it felt dingy and not very clean. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend it. To the owner: My review is based on multiple visits, not just one. Each time, I've found the food to be consistently disappointing, and I've also observed what I consider to be rude behavior from the owner. It's surprising that these issues haven't been addressed. I want to clarify that I have no personal issue with you; my aim is to inform potential customers about the service and food quality I experienced.
Pam S — Google review
I recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the service. From the moment I made the reservation, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. I was told in an impolite manner that we had to arrive exactly on time. When my young sister drank water from a table glass because she was thirsty, the owner rudely reprimanded her. We requested to sit outside to enjoy the location, but were told we had to sit inside for their convenience. Due to the poor service and unwelcoming atmosphere, we decided not to eat there. Overall, a terrible experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Paricka C — Google review
We were really disappointed with our experience here. As soon as we arrived, the staff member who greeted us was incredibly rude and mentioned she was the OWNER of the restaurant. We asked to sit outside on the patio, but she clearly didn’t want to accommodate us and made it very uncomfortable. Instead of offering a polite explanation or alternative, she was dismissive and unwelcoming — to the point where we chose not to stay and dine at all. Hospitality matters, and unfortunately, we didn’t feel any of it here.
Tarandeep K — Google review
We have been to this restaurant twice and we absolutely loved their food👍👍.We tried dal makhani, kadhai paneer, malai kofta, plain naan and garlic naan. I just wished they use fresh garlic for the naan rather than the jar one.

Beaches Bar & Grill is a popular spot in Airlie Beach, offering casual lodging with air-conditioned dorms and private rooms. The lively bar and restaurant provide local pub vibes, cheap drinks, pool tables, and live music for a classic night out experience. Paddy's Shenanigans is another top nightlife spot in the area, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of Airlie Beach and Cannonvale.
Where other places on the main road of Airlie were a little difficult to get at due to arrogant pricing or snotty staff, beaches was an easy visit with fair pricing and a delicious snitty. My parents and I came here to have beer, have lunch, and play pool. We are traveling and do not carry cash. They asked for a $10 deposit for the pool cue. We were the only ones in the restaurant/bar. I offered to give my ID or something else of value for the deposit for the pool cue or even pay on card. The waitress refused bluntly. The lack of service in Airlie as a whole is ridiculous. The customer comes last and many of the waitresses/waiters seem to despise their job and not want to be here. They look and act miserable. This place is very run down as well so it seems they don't care about their customers. Looks like a local dive bar. We are not unruly, nor demanding customers. It just baffles me how unaccommodating Airlie is as a whole. This place was my last straw. Maybe coming from the states and now living in Melbourne has created my expectation that customer service and working within customer service means that you service the customers. It seems like the further you go up the coast of Australia the dumber, more unaccommodating the service.

Seafood restaurant
Located in Airlie Beach, Queensland, Whitsunday Seafood Bar is a popular spot offering a variety of seafood options including fish, scallops, and oysters. The menu features a good range of fish and chips as well as potato scallops. Whether you choose to dine in or take away, the eatery provides a relaxing atmosphere with ample seating. While some customers found the food to be average, others raved about the excellent fish and chips.
We are visiting for the week and come across this gem! The service was great with a smile, the food was delicious and fresh we had to finish off our trip with a second lunch! Definitely worth a try when in Airlie beach! If I could have given 10 stars I would! Keep up the great work!

This is definitely one of the more popular fish and chips food places at Airlie Beach, with many locals coming here for takeaway. The menu is great actually with so many different options for the type of fish and the way you want it fried. Everything was delicious, but just one thing that bothered us. Even though the prices were already high, there was no sauce included and had to buy separately. Firstly, it should be included as this is the case everywhere, secondly we did not know about it so we ate without any sauce as we did not want to queue again to order. If not for this, this place would be an easy 5-stars.

Whitsundays seafood bar is in a great location right opposite the beach in Airlie beach. There is outdoor seating available & inside is a bright & impressive display cabinet filled with fresh seafood prawns, oysters & crumbed fish & prawns. A large menu board with plenty of seafood & other options ie platters & burgers. A range of cold drinks are available. We were greeted by the owner Marco & he took our order promptly. The food arrived & serving size was great, the fish, prawn cutlets & chips were hot & you could tell it had been cooked in clean oil. The fresh prawns were so good & reasonably priced, the tartare & garlic sauces were great. We thoroughly enjoyed the food & highly recommend this place for fresh quality seafood, can’t wait to come back next time we visit.

We can see why this place is so popular (there always seems to be a queue outside). Small takeaway shop selling fresh and local seafood. We had the tiger prawns and the 'fisherman's basket' which had a variety of battered goodies and chips. There is a little outdoor seating area with about 4 or 5 tables and we had to wait a while for one to become free. The lack of salt, vinegar and sauce (must pay extra for dips) is the only negative.
Heather J — Google review
Delicious fish and probably the best chips I’ve ever had. You can choose grilled, breaded or crumbed. More of a take away/quick stop vibe rather than sit down. The food is incredible though, so we keep coming back.
Leonie S — Google review
The battered barramundi and chips were really good, and the calamari was so delicious we had to order more. The batter was on another level, and the seafood was incredibly fresh. You need to check this place out!

$20 for “8 calamari rings with small fries” turned into a box of bland fries with 7 broken scraps of squid. Complained and got 2 thin strips thrown on top. Not fresh, not tasty, and definitely not worth the money.

Very tasty fish and chips - we loved the battered reef fish, not greasy at all and great portions. Perfect to sit by the beach

Sushi Joa in Airlie Beach is a must-visit for those craving fresh and flavorful Japanese cuisine. This sushi kiosk offers an extensive selection of delicious rolls, catering to various dietary preferences including vegetarian, gluten-free, seafood, and meat options. Visitors rave about the mouth-watering sushi with its wide range of flavors. The generous portion sizes make it great value for money. Customers particularly praise the unique combination of flavors such as the spicy calamari and perfectly fried soft shell crab.
Really tasty and cheap sushi rolls. Perfect for travellers. Good Veggie and vegan options aswell.
LN — Google review
My first reaction was that it was quite expensive. I still maintain that, but the sushi was really delicious. I think that charging extra for the ginger was pushing it as in many places, it's actually included in the price.
Wayne R — Google review
Reasonably priced quick sushi pick up spot. The role is about $4.5 each and there are 20 options, one roll is like 4 pieces of traditional sushi. I got spicy pork (too sweet) and salmon avocado (fine flavor no sauces). It's nothing special whatsoever, but maybe the other flavors are better. Quick to go eats.
Neha P — Google review
Had sushi twice on this trip to Airlie Beach really nice on both occasions.
Mike D — Google review
Great sushi. The spicy pork was excellent, though both of the "spicy" ones I had weren't very spicy, but I guess that's relative. Highly recommended.
Willy T — Google review
Wow 🤩 the most delicious sushi we have had since we have been travelling Australia!! Definitely try the honey chicken and the chicken, mayo and avocado. Will definitely come here again!
Jacqui G — Google review
Had a lovely tuna mayo cucumber roll here. Was a bit more expensive than I’d had before at around $5.
Lauren S — Google review
Without a doubt the best sushi kiosk I've been to in Australia, and better than the average Japanese restaurant. Granted, they only have sushi rolls, but the variety is excellent and the combination of flavours really worth a visit. I particularly liked the spicy calamari, but the absolute best was the soft shell crab, perfectly fried, tender and lightly seasoned with a nice sauce. The mayo (used in the prawn, avocado and mayo roll) seems better than average, at least it isn't sweet. But maybe I was just delighted by the great sushi I just had... :) Even if it's in a busy spot in the main street of a very touristic town, the prices are the same as the sushi kiosk at my local shopping centre.

The best breakfast in Airlie Beach! Options to sit inside & out enjoying the view of the beach. Dog friendly. Great coffee & the best smashed Avocado in Airlie. The perfect spot for brunch & cocktails. The staff are warm & friendly. Repeat customers on our trip, it was so good we kept coming back.

Fab cafe for breakfast and brunch! We were only in Airlie Beach for a week but we visited the Sidewalk Cafe three times. The staff were always super friendly, service was quick and we loved the vibe. One of the days we brought our laptops to work on and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Food and coffees were all delicious, especially the warm scones with butter and jam. The location is great for people watching too!

Quick and easy brekky, with a nice quiet view of main strip, not too far from the water. Shakshuka was delicious. The chilli scrambled eggs could use more spice but still great nonetheless.

Disappointing Experience Despite Good Food Yesterday, my friend and I planned to have breakfast at this café because out of all the places we’ve tried, this one was among our favorites. The food has always been really good. However, during our visit, we were served water with two glasses — one of which had visible lip marks. We politely told the lady who served us and she immediately apologized, saying she would get a new one. We understood — mistakes happen sometimes. But after waiting for about 15 minutes and still not receiving a replacement, we kindly called another staff member named “SIMON” and asked, “Sorry, but can we get a new glass?” Instead of helping, he shouted, “NOT ME, I’M CARRYING TOO MANY PLATES!” — loud enough that other customers turned to look. It was extremely rude and disappointing. I understand that they were busy, but that’s not an excuse to respond to customers that way. The other lady server apologized on his behalf, even though she wasn’t the one at fault. Later, when Simon was clearing other tables, he continued acting irritated — roughly placing plates and glasses like he was angry. It’s really upsetting because we genuinely liked this café, but that kind of attitude from staff completely ruins the experience. I hope management addresses this behavior because customers deserve better.

I came here 3 seperate times and everytime it slapped. Anything chicken is a must 🙏 the wings were mint, the fried chicken burgers were some of the best I've ever had. My partner also tried the hot hot wings, you may need milk. She also had the gems, very gooood

Got the Winner Winner and the Recovery. With chips. So good. I wish I had 2 stomachs. Fries - 9/10. Well cooked and crispy. I think they're beer battered. Had a delicious seasoned salt. Recovery - 9/10. The star of the show. Patty is well made and full of flavour. That bacon they source is perfect. You can actually taste it. The build and the flavours meld well. Did fall apart a bit, but that's unavoidable on big burgers. Winner Winner - 7/10. Still good, Has that great bacon. The spice flavour of the fried breast was dominant, which some may like. But I would have preferred more sauce. Both buns were tiger rolls and a bit too heavy for me, but probably necessary for a big burger. Overall, if you are in Airlie Beach, Go Get It.
Daniel W — Google review
Great lunch deal at under $10 for a burger with only a few extra dollars for fries and a drink. Standard burger prices are $20 to $25 each, with fries, sides and drinks on top of that. Decent quality, sightly dry beef burgers and the chicken looks prebreaded like what you'd get at a supermarket, but still enjoyable.

Food was really delicious. Service at front of house was a bit slow. We got up a couple of times to come and grab some water while we waited for our meals until eventually she brought some over. Recommended by the staff at our resort. LOVED the atmosphere (live musician) and setting (right on the water). Good variety of delicious options on the menu; our party of four with diverse tastes and appetites each found something they liked. Absolutely beautiful. Beautiful location Beautiful food I had the nachos and chilli, fantastic. Honestly, it's stunning. Went on Sunday afternoon and there was a young chap singing a variety of songs. Just heavenly, had a great time with the family.

We had great expectations at this place was recommended by a tour guide. We got a taxi there and courtesy bus back, which was great. We booked indoor low seating & was taken outside, it was windy so we asked to go inside, where they put us on a high table. Not a problem. The food was unfortunately underwhelming pub food & atmosphere dull. It was a Tuesday night however, and it looks like at the weekends during the day, with the outdoor section being open it would be a good spot. The location although remote, once there is beautifully located and maintained.

Amazing place for a cocktail and meal! Free courtesy bus from our accommodation made the evening even more enjoyable. Quirky set up with boat bar and various options for dining. We chose table on the deck outside. Perfect!
Erica S — Google review
Had a great meal tonight. The view was lovely and having a few different areas meant it was not crowded. It was a bit breezy when we arrived and the staff worked wonders to cheerily move each group to less windy spots. I had the prawn and calamari entree, which was lovely and fresh, though I expected ‘pan seared’ to mean a bit more charred than it was. A little serve of rice on the plate to soak up the sauce would be a nice addition. The spaghetti main was lovely. A few dessert options would be a nice addition. Well worth the trip from Airlie and the complimentary shuttle bus is a lovely marketing tool. The staff deserve more than 5*.

Italian restaurant
La Marina Italian Restaurant & Bar is a charming waterfront establishment located along Port Drive in Airlie Beach. It offers a refined dining space with picturesque water views and serves a variety of Italian dishes, making it popular among both locals and tourists. The menu features classic Italian fare such as pizzas, pasta, grilled meat, and seafood options. With its inviting ambiance and delectable cuisine, La Marina provides a memorable dining experience for visitors looking to savor authentic Italian flavors while enjoying stunning ocean vistas.
We spent a lovely evening at La Marina tonight, enjoyed a delightful Italian inspired meal, and left completely satisfied. We had a crazy day today...and it was so relaxing to spend our first evening and dinner at Airlie beach at this inviting restaurant. I had the veal, the serving was very filling and sumptuous at the same time, and was promptly devoured. Sipping a Barossa Valley Shiraz helped the task, and soon the quiet restaurant was filling with diners stopping in and not ambling on into town. The best choice for dining I concluded, we both had a great experience 😋.

Had dinner here with a Friend on the weekend and the pasta dish was amazing and full of flavours and a good size serving. The pizza though was a little disappointing as had very limited topping for a chicken pizza and probably more of a cheese pizza. The service was very good from the staff.
Stephen T — Google review
We recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant in Airlie Beach, perfectly located beneath the Boathouse Apartments. The setting is ideal, with a beautiful outlook over the marina that creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent – the staff were not only friendly but also very accommodating. They happily adjusted the seafood marinara, removing the clams and mussels and replacing them with extra seafood, which made the dish even more enjoyable. It was generous, fresh, and full of flavour. The carbonara was rich and creamy with a delicious smoked bacon flavour, while the lasagne offered a hearty sauce and paired perfectly with the seasonal greens. Even the child’s spaghetti was tasty and well received. Dessert was a true highlight. The sticky date pudding was generous in size and absolutely outstanding – without a doubt the best sticky date pudding I have ever eaten. The tiramisu was equally delightful, light yet indulgent, and the perfect finish to the meal. Overall, this restaurant combines an unbeatable location, exceptional food, and warm, attentive service. A must-visit in Airlie Beach for a memorable dining experience.

The food was impeccable. We ordered the fettuccine marinara pasta, focaccia and truffle mushroom pizza. The pizza was so amazing that we ordered a prosciutto pizza right after having the truffle mushroom. The pizza tasted so amazing, the fluffy yet crisp base, and divine taste of the truffle mushroom was truly amazing. The prosciutto pizza was also fantastic and we highly recommend the pizzas. The pasta had a perfect consistency and amazing flavors, which we highly recommend. And finally last but not least the focaccia……. the focaccia was the best bread we’ve ever had, really fresh and homemade. It was so light and fluffy yet the outside was crisp and toasty. The meal was an absolute highlight of my holiday and we definitely recommend dining at la marina. We booked a table at 7:30 but arrived at 7, yet the staff still let us dine earlier than booked. The staff were very friendly and it was a great atmosphere inside. Truly amazing and one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to.
MiniMe — Google review
We ended up going here two nights in a row since it was close to our accommodation. Over the two visits we tried the garlic bread, meatballs, calamari, carbonara pasta, and the veal with mushroom sauce. The calamari was really tender, the garlic bread was tasty (though the portion was a bit small), and the veal was a highlight – super tender and full of flavour. The carbonara was nice, but we were expecting a more traditional version with more egg and less cream. Service was excellent both nights, especially from the lovely Spanish ladies from Barcelona and Jerez – they really made us feel welcome. Overall, a great local spot for a relaxed dinner.
Orlando R — Google review
The meatlovers pizza didn’t have much meat toppings on it. But the flavour was nice due to the bbq sauce. It wasn’t the best or worst pizza ive had. Lots of places to sit. Friendly staff. Exxy for what it is.
C B — Google review
We came to La Marina after reading many good Google reviews, but unfortunately it really let us down. We ordered the lamb and the eye fillet, but both were not cooked as requested. The lamb was undercooked, and the eye fillet we asked for medium came out well done. The staff said it was their standard cooking, which was disappointing. The food also took about 50 minutes to be served, and for the price, it felt quite expensive. The atmosphere was good for us, but overall the experience didn’t meet our expectations. I hope the management team can see this message and improve on these issues.

Very pleasant first evening in Airlie Beach. Balmy night overlooking the boats in the marina. Loved the Sail Away cocktail to set the mood. Entree of Nonna’s Meatballs was yummy - great recommendation from airport transit bus driver. Mains were also delicious. Waitress was friendly and helpful. And the melodic call of the pretty Bush Stone Curlews wandering around just outside added to the ambience.

It's the perfect spot to unwind with a tasty cocktail or enjoy a girls' night out.
I had the cauliflower tacos, and they were absolutely delicious—definitely great value for the price. At first, the feta was missing, but the staff reacted quickly and brought a small bowl of feta without hesitation, along with a friendly apology. The only small downside was that the second taco had a bit too many onions, which made the flavors a little unbalanced due to their sharpness. Still, I’d rate the food a solid 9/10. On top of that, the atmosphere was really pleasant, making it an overall great dining experience.

Delicious vegan pho. Friendly service. The only issue is that you end up smelling like Korean BBQ after sitting in there for awhile which is not great if you don't like meat.
Kerry P — Google review
One of the Worst Dining Experiences I’ve Ever Had I had a deeply disappointing experience at this BBQ restaurant in Airlie Beach, and I feel it’s important to share it so others can make an informed decision. The restaurant promotes a $59 “all-you-can-eat BBQ,” and we were told that after finishing the initial platter, we could request more of any meat we liked. But once we finished the first round, we were suddenly informed that several types of meat—including the ones we were most interested in—weren’t actually included. This was never clearly explained beforehand. We asked the staff what was going on, but the woman who seemed to be managing the restaurant that day was completely unresponsive. She left us standing there waiting for a very long time, without giving any explanation or trying to resolve the issue. It felt like she was deliberately avoiding us. Eventually, we asked to speak with the owner. After a long wait, the call finally connected—but instead of helping, the owner immediately started yelling. He called us names like “psycho,” accused us of “trying to cause trouble,” and even said, “if you can’t afford it, don’t come.” He kept cutting us off and hung up in the middle of the conversation. We tried calling again later, hoping to find some resolution, but the same thing happened. The owner was hostile and dismissive, and once again ended the call abruptly. One of the regular staff members did eventually try to assist and suggested charging us separately for the meat, but even then, they couldn’t provide a clear price. In the end, we were given just a $9 discount, despite barely eating anything beyond the initial platter. Personally, I left feeling shocked and upset. The way we were treated—not only by the owner, but also by the manager on duty—was incredibly disheartening. Our entire evening and mood were ruined by this experience. I’ve never felt so disrespected in a restaurant before. On top of that, the food quality was poor—the chicken tasted noticeably sour, and the ingredients didn’t seem fresh at all. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before dining here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really good Korean BBQ! The meat was fresh and tasty (especially wagyu), and the golden cow platter looked awesome 😂 The vibe inside is super nice with all the colorful lanterns. Great food and friendly service — definitely recommend!🌼
Jessie L — Google review
Had bbq buffet, 6 kinds of meat including wagyu were all good quality and nice marinade sauce for an all-you-can-eat. Salad bar was ok, a bit more selection than potato and onions for bbq buffet would have been nice. The serving speed felt a bit slow considering our order was only bbq meat topups. Alacarte menu looked good so next time we will try them instead of the bbq buffet. We were happy for what we had and what we paid. All the staff were friendly and well knowledgeable of what they were serving :)

We realize the BBQ is the best option since we rarely find a Korean BBQ here at Mackay-Whitsunday Region and so we give it a go and ended up satisfying our craving we didn't realize we had. Ha ha! Also one of the good deals in the area. We love the unlimited sides which comes only with the BBQ. Definitely one of the list when in Airlie or when we really crave again for some good Korean BBQ!

The Belvedere at Toscana is a top dining spot in Airlie Beach, offering a romantic and fine dining experience with European and Australian cuisine. It has garnered positive reviews for its culinary offerings, making it a must-visit for those seeking an exceptional gastronomic experience. The restaurant's ambiance and menu make it an ideal choice for a special evening out.
What a relaxing restaurant to dine at! You are welcomed outside by beautiful views as you step into an open elegant interior. You’ll feel relaxed and at peace as you get seated by their lovely staff. We ordered the tasting menu which was the perfect amount of food! Every dish was tasty and had a very good balance of sauce and saltiness. Our favourites here would have to be the Cape Grim Sirloin - cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. The salads are really fresh and are a good intermedium between dishes! Would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!

Very picturesque simple and lovely little restaurant. The sunset view from the terrace was stunning. The food was great, steak was superb, pasta was delish, zucchini flowers were beautiful. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Would absolutely recommend for a romantic couples dinner or matured group. Expect a relaxed Tuscan terrace sort of vibe. Bring a jacket/jumper if visiting in the cooler months as it can be a little brisk once the sun goes down.

This was the best food we had so far on our trip to Australia! The tasting menu is just amazing, everything tastes perfect. We especially liked the beef fillet and the sweet and sour Brussels sprouts. The service was outstanding, we felt really cared for and enjoyed our time so much. Thanks so much for this special experience!

Delicious and delightful In Airlie for a quiet couple of days and found the Belvedere. We had the tasting menu and every dish was delicious. Lamb backstrap was melt in your mouth. Cuscus had the most subtle flavors. It was all so yummy. There was plenty of food for both of us. The desert dish at the end was so very good. We were too excited to eat to get photos of each dish before we tasted them. The service was attentive and friendly. And then the view over Airlie bay with the moon coming up over mandalay point was magical. Can’t recommend this place enough. Loved it.

Best place for dinner in Airlie Beach. Some commented the menu is small, but what they have on there, they do extremely well. We shared the lamb & beef which were cooked beautifully. The sprouts & broccoli were delicious and all the food was made with great produce. Booking for a great outdoor seat recommended. The staff were great and the views at sunset lovely. Highly recommend, wish we had time to go back again.

Balmy night with amazing views down to the beach and the boats. Really enjoyed the tasting menu paired with wines - some on wine list from our favourite winery in SA, Lake Breeze! Our two waitresses, Erika and Grace, were very friendly and helped create a warm welcoming atmosphere. Assolutamente bellissimo!

We were greeted and completely spoiled by Erika and the amazing team at The Belvedere Toscana, not only did I feel completely and almost at home in Italy 🇮🇹 but the dining experience was just beautiful! 😍 I could not fault, food, service or atmosphere!!! Can’t wait to go back! Grazie mille ☺️

Best dining experience I had in my 5 months of living in Airlie. We went for the tasting menu (with the steak) and each dish got better as they were brought out! The view from the balcony was unbelievable, and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Could not recommend enough! 🙌🏼

I had the waffles with banana and Nutella and it was delish. The waitress was also lovely and accommodated all our requests. We will definitely be coming back!

Ordered the Pancake Supreme and a coffee. Coffee was OK, but there are other better coffee places around the area. The Pancake Supreme was meant to contain banana, but there was no banana and smothered in a chocolate that was not nutella, the berry compote was nice. The food could have been better for the price. The service was great- friendly and fast. The place was very clean, even throughout the busy periods, and the atmosphere was great.

I bit into my burger and was greeted with a mouthful of water 😂. Appears as though the patty was cooked from frozen and had not been thawed. Thankfully it did taste good, but I dont think I've ever had so much water come out of a burger patty in my life. Hopefully just a one off and no one else experiences this

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming — they really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is so good; everything we ordered was, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re after a relaxing breakfast or a tasty lunch, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Airlie!

A nice, relaxed, friendly breakfast/brunch/lunch place with good food and great coffee (best oat milk coffee we found). Excellent for people watching, as well🙂 Covered all diets, as far as I could see, without any stress. Vegan, gluten free, vego, meat lovers.

coffee was amazingly fast bit watered down but the food was sitting after it had been cooking and not sure what the waiters were doing but there was 4 plates sitting for about 10 minutes ready to go wasn’t any feta on the avo toast just dip on the side very cheaply made found a hair in the juice eggs were under cooked and found egg shell bacon was under cooked they gave us $12 off 2 coffees juice avo toast and a big breaky was supposed to be $70

Great place, coffee, staff and location (ideal, next to the lagoon): One of my favourite spots in all of Airlie Beach! The coffee never disappoints, especially with such cute coffee art. The staff are so lovely and friendly, Kevin, Anouk and Maddison are always a pleasure!

Had Breakfast here over the weekend and disappointed with the food service and options. Order a salmon wrap and saw the staff grab some frozen salmon out of fridge abd then 10 minutes later advise it was not available. Then order the same as my friend a haloumi wrap and then they brought out the wrong order. After we finally got the order the wraps were okay but lacking in taste. Coffee was good.

Airle beach is an amazing place, it has everything you need, coming from Melbourne the one thing we struggled to find was good coffee! Allot of cafes around but we found wisdom cafe to have the best coffee hands down! Also great shakes, Machas & Acai bowls. Lovely people & great atmosphere right by the lagoon!! Thanks for the great service guys 👊🏽

Came here for couple of day in Airlie and I definitely found my best coffee place. Chill place, really friendly. I had my best morning in this place, with my coffee and my book, enjoying the sun and the atmosphere. Kitchen food is great, matcha amazing. I had the tropical acai bowl and the halloumi Sanga. Food was delicious! Such a gorgeous view and wonderful ambiance. First time I’m tried a buttery passion fruit compote (compliments of the chefs own produce) and it was just delectable! Highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely restaurant serving quality food. All the dishes were such generous portions and tastes fresh, delicious and each dish ate uniquely made. Our favourites are definitely the pasta and pork cutlet. The pasta was so creamy and the salmon complemented it nicely while the port cutlet was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Service was great and the atmosphere was very free flowing!
Jayjaytruviews — Google review
Loved this place. Its got a great little relaxed charm to it. The food was excellent. We had the duck breast, the lamb strap and the crispy skin chicken breast and they were all fantastic. Hard to choose which was better the duck or chicken. Rocket salad for a side was also very good. Portions were just the right size. Staff were friendly but not over bearing. They were nice to accommodate us with an outside table which had a great atmosphere overlooking the marina. If they had a gluten free dessert option we would have stayed for dessert, but you can't have everything!

Great spot down on port of Airlie Marina. It’s relaxed and casual and family friendly. We went for the 50% food mon-Thursday. Don’t rely on a walk in as it’s usually booked out. The menu is excellent with a great range of entrees, steak, seafood and kids meals. We ordered kids spaghetti and garlic bread as well as an amazing seafood platter - perfect for two - with 6 prawns, 6 oysters, bugs, salmon, salt and pepper squid, salad and fries. Absolutely delicious! Staff were super friendly and really helpful and understanding of our 2 year old Terror! A great drink menu too. (Drinks full price)

A really good selection of cocktails to choose from, which we sampled a few at various visits and enjoyed talking to the owner who was extremely friendly when explaining the ingredients. Food was of a good standard and we enjoyed eating there. Highly recommend a visit, especially if staying slightly out of town near the marina.

The views are awesome. We went for the meat platter but the menu we saw online was old. Tasty food. Quite pricey but like most of the area it's comparable. The steak was tasty, ordered medium rare and they did it like that. A treat. Cocktails were a bit small for the price.

Amazing experience, one of the best meal I’ve had in Australia! We had delicious chicken, beef and veggie roasts and the sides were just incredible. Excellent service, all the staff was kind and professionnal and congrats to the head chef Leah!

I’m not one to leave reviews but I had to for this place because it was such an amazing night with food, drinks and service. We ordered the seafood platter and 2 entrees (duck spring rolls & garlic bread); the platter was bigger than we expected and we definitely ordered more than we bargained for, between two Adults and a toddler, but do not regret at it as it was so delicious! Even the kids spaghetti was a big portion and very delicious with actual flavour, sauce and meat! I didn’t get any names as they didn’t have name tags on but the main waitress (with an English accent) was very friendly, bright, bubbly and attentive. The two older gentleman (main servers) were also very attentive and friendly, all three made it a very enjoyable night for my family. Please please go there and enjoy their delicious meals, yummy cocktails and excellent service!!

Formerly known as The Rocks Restaurant & Bar, Coral Sea Pavilion has undergone a rebranding that goes beyond just a name change. The restaurant now offers an exciting new menu that highlights the exquisite local cuisine of Airlie. Specializing in seafood, it boasts a splendid selection of seafood appetizers showcasing the diverse local catches. Situated waterfront, it provides a beautiful dining experience with attentive and professional staff to complement the superb food and presentation on the plate.
My partner and I had our first date night in over a year and I must say restaurant manager Christian and his team were fabulous! We booked a table for 18:00 and he got in touch to ask if we wanted to want the sunset whilst having a drink, which we did so he recommended 17:30! Atmosphere when we turned up was great with some good tunes on the go and ice cold beers. Food was great and all in all I think the value you money was great when you have a view like that you can expect high prices but the food lived up to the price. We will 100% be back soon!

Came back for a second visit a year after my amazing first hoping to have the cape grim steak again but alas it wasn’t on the menu anymore and even the normal steak wasn’t available for a 7.15pm sitting due to a prior large group eating them all. So my wife and I had seafood dishes instead. The dishes were beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. Service was very attentive and the wine was good. Of course the setting and view is amazing looking out over the pool and Coral Sea.
Richard S — Google review
We had two-night stay at Coral Sea Resort, and we decided to have dinner here on the second day. The restaurant is easily accessed, with great view of beaches and sea. The food is great, and their staff is friendly too. We had Ciabatta and fish ceviche to start, followed by sirloin steak and seafood pasta, with tomato salad as side. What a night! I recommend you to try if you stay at the resort.
Steven S — Google review
We ordered the sirloin steak for lunch, it came with 3 potato wedges and half a plate of coleslaw, ( more coleslaw than steak) the steak was cooked to our liking but very small and went cold before we finished eating it. Dessert was nice as were the cocktails. Service was ok, thankfully one waitress was attentive as ours didn't have a clue. The view of the coral sea was beautiful but the restaurant is positioned right near the pool which is nice but 9/10 of the women swimming there had nothing more than a piece of string covering their butt and had no problem coming into the restaurant to order drinks dressed as such, perhaps there should be a cover up policy before entering the restaurant from the pool.
Sandy B — Google review
Amazing night at the restaurant. Thank you to our waiter Corentin who did an amazing job and was here for us all night to accomodate our requests. His choice for the wine was perfect and suits our food very nicely. He made our night super amazing. The food was good. The only suggestion I have is for the seafood platter to be bigger with more seafoods on it as restaurants around charge less for more food. Nonetheless, the quality was there.
Yohann C — Google review
It was really nice ambiance and good food. Also shout out to the guy with multicultural background. He was very friendly and amazing at his job .
Rokshana B — Google review
We ordered seafood platter for 165$ and expected something specials but in fact got a meal which much worse than the plates in other restaurants for 115$ Servers didn't bring us salt and pepper for oysters even we asked. For take away we got a small paper box for seafood. Great, it starts leak in 1 minute. Service surcharge 10%. Never again
Dmitry S — Google review
We ordered seafood platter for $165 and if be honest platters for $115 was better in diffrent restaurant. We wanted some food for takeaway. Instead of proper packaging for seafood, they chuck it in a flimsy little paper box. Within a minute it’s leaking everywhere. It was not pleasant for me

Great little Japanese restaurant, a little hidden & worth finding in the heart of Airlie. Bit of a cat theme which is befitting of the name. Fantastic tasting yum food. If you're in the Whitsundays and craving a delicious bowl of ramen, look no further than Ramen in May. This charming little eatery specializes in tonkotsu-style ramen, offering both dine-in and takeaway options. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, often bustling with patrons—a good sign that the food is worth trying! Guests rave about their traditional tonkatsu ramen as well as the unique black garlic tonkatsu variant.
Wonderfull place to sit, great atmosphere, for a quiet diner. The ramen are delicious, best i ever had. Can get a free ramen refill. Gyoza’s were really good. All for a cheap price! Must visit place!
Joren D — Google review
My boyfriend had never tried ramen before but found his dish rather disappointing in terms of flavor. My meal, on the other hand, the vegetarian option, was incredibly tasty and full of flavor. The gyozas my boyfriend ordered were excellent, though. The staff, however, weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. The interior decor and atmosphere were quite cute, though.
Iduna B — Google review
Had a hankering for ramen, and this place looked good from photos and reviews. The little place was BUSY and full, which is usually a promising sign that the food is good. We ordered the top choice traditional tonkatsu ramen, and the second top choice black garlic tonkatsu ramen, plus a side order of gyoza. Wouldn't have minded the soup being a bit hotter, but otherwise the flavours were great. And the free top up of noodles was a welcome feature, as well as 5% discount for paying cash.
Clem F — Google review
We came for dinner at this restaurant in Airlie Beach. The friendly staff welcomed us immediately at the mentioned opening time. The menu is rather small, but the ramen was good. It was not the best ramen, but definitely not the worst. Especially the staff was super friendly, which made the experience more enjoyable.

The ladies at the service are super friendly! There is also an option to refill noodles to your ramen for free. It was my first time trying ramen so I don't know what to compare it to, but it was tasty. Overall had a great time!

Im not sure how to review this place.....ramen is not on my go to list as far as food goes... We were looking for a cheap place to eat in Airlie that wasn't deep fried. We found this place everyone enjoyed what we ordered 😀 chopsticks are a bit tricky for soup 🍲 Staff were friendly service was great 🤩 Thanks for a ramen bowl 🍜 🥣 😋
Jamie C — Google review
Non-authentic ramen that still tastes nice in a cosy atmosphere. Came here and got 4 types of ramen - the traditional, shoyu, shio and miso. The ramen broth in all is a bit lighter and less creamy than typical ramen. The restaurant is run by Chinese, not Japanese and the broth is more like a Chinese soup. Still delicious, but not very authentic. We also got the gyoza, which were small but flavourful and the fried lotus roots which were delicious! The restaurant itself is cosy and designed well, but the ramen is nothing special.

Came during the early afternoon so was not very busy. As a vegetarian in Australia it can be hard to find good meat-free food, however this restaurant delivered one of the best plant based burgers I’ve had in this country. Staff were nice and friendly and willing to accommodate all questions. Would highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I decided to give this a try for breakfast yesterdat since we are regulars on airlie and had never visited this place before. Staff were lovely but it was a bit annoying having to get up order the food, get up again to pick it up, get up again to grab some water and then get up again to grab some salt and paper since it's all self serve. We order egg pens. The eggs were defs not poached and bread wasn't toasted either. But you get what you pay. Today we ended up going back to our regular place for breakfast.

Unfortunately I ended up here, having dinner. The food was not bad to be honest, as I had chicken parmi and that was pretty good. There is no table service and the music was extremely loud, I couldn't have a conversation with the others I dined with.

Not just your typical sailing club! This sailing club offers the best view of any restaurant or bar that we experienced in Airlie Beach. So disappointing we are locals & frequently support & dine in our beautiful Whitsundays. Ordered the Salmon main meal ~ Grilled Salmon, coconut sweet potatoe mash ~ chargrilled broccolini with crispy leek. Sounds great! Not! I've had this meal over the years & rate it the Best! Tonight no coconut sweet potatoe mash no chargrilled broccolini & no crispy leek or crispy skin salmon. When I questioned~ told it would be better next time:((

My husband & I booked our 1 year wedding anniversary dinner at The Sailing Club (as we married there a year ago) and we knew it would be good, but it was INCREDIBLE! The service from every single staff member we interacted with was amazing - Ethan who worked our wedding even came over to our table because he remembered us and wanted to say hello & offer his well wishes to us. Thx for taking an interest the visit was tue 7/9/25 and the other item ordered was red emperor and the crumb coat was soft and oily the chips were soggy not crisp at all and the fish tacos had no flavour. Service was good though.

A real mixed review of good and bad. We reserved a lunchtime table. The young european barman started off this mixed experience with very minimal effort, with little or no enthusiasm, speaking really quietly with a flat tone. When asked about the available drink options he showed no interest in helping. I ended up asking one of the other more energetic staff for a glass as he meandered around looking lost. We then ordered our food. The childs meal arrived within 5 mins then my wife and I proceeded to wait more than 1/2 an hour for ours! This appeared to be the case on other tables also, where people's food was going cold whilst they waited for their friends food to arrive for ridiculously long periods, having ordered at the same time. When our food did arrive, it was fresh, generous portion sizes and really delicious. A few management tweets could easily turn this place or today's shift at least, into a far better experience. Most of the staff were really on the ball and as stated, the food was really good. Just the timing of food leaving the pass and one staff member. And great views as you'd expect...

Restaurant
The Rocks Restaurant & Bar is conveniently located by the resort's pool, offering breathtaking ocean views, outdoor dining, and a remarkable menu. With its prime position overlooking well-manicured lawns, majestic palm trees, and tranquil azure waters, it undoubtedly boasts one of the most desirable spots to dine in Airlie Beach. This establishment prides itself on serving fresh local ingredients and excelling in preparing the finest seafood caught from nearby waters.
There are quite a few negative reviews however, when I dined here last year the service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. If you seriously expect to eat out anywhere decent in Airlie Beach for a low price and leave with a full stomach, go to macas and stop whining. I think some people forget about the overheads places like this must have to pay.

Disgusting experience. We came for sunset at this beautiful restaurant and bar which is part of the hotel. We asked if it was possible to pay in cash for our drinks, they said yes. They prepared our drinks and I gave a 100$ note. It appeared that they did not have enough change. They asked me to by card, I said I did not have, only cash. They asked me unembarrassed to order another drinks so they had enough change to give. Very funny and unprofessionally rude staff.

Where do I begin? Holy moly! The foods, the cocktails, the sunset view and the impeccable service was just mind-blowing. Definitely worth the price we paid for. The showstopper was 100% the Seafood Platter. Loved the fresh oysters. Normally it does not taste good in alot of places but I loved the ones they served here. Kudos to the team. Thank you and we will be back 🥰

The best most memorable lunch we’ve had in Airlie. Lovely professional service, and great quality food. Glad we gave it a chance.
Sebastian F — Google review
My wife and I had eaten here at lunch, with a small seafood platter that was simply to die for. Such great value beside the pools and very well done. It was fantastic and just right at the top of the experience that we had with the resort. Coming for dinner we had high expectations and had a couple of hiccups. We spoke to the manager and agreed to try again and I have to say they nailed it better than all the other experiences. The service was perfect, they didn’t hover enough to be intrusive yet were very attentive and just seemed to magically appear when you thought you would need something. One might suggest they were on their toes with us but looking around the venue it was clear the whole place was a the top of its game. Everyone seemed happy, well timed and well taken care of. We ordered the steaks which was among the best, and these I’ve had in quite a few places. It was a cooked to perfection and such a unique flavour that is memorable. We had some great wine from a brilliant selection and even the salad was amazing. The view needs its own special mention. Arriving just before sunset the views alone at worth coming just to have a snack and a few drinks. The ambience is warm and welcoming and you could easily spend the night just around the spectacular pool and small beach area admiring the views. It made the experience and now we can wait to come back before the end of the year already. Thank you to all it was a great night and we celebrated my wife’s birthday in memorable style.

The Red Plate - Korean BBQ & Restaurant is a hidden gem with a stunning view of the Airlie Lagoon. The restaurant offers a unique fusion of Korean flavors and boasts colorful decor and friendly staff. Their new menu features dishes like Savoury Kimchi Pancake, Korean Fried Chicken, and Sizzling Bibimbap. Guests can complement their meal with daring cocktails or authentic Korean soju for an unforgettable dining experience.
We had a late lunch and were the only 2 people on the entire deck. It is such a lovely, relaxing place to be. We had the spicy pork rice paper rolls, and a salmon rice bowl. The rolls were truly awesome and the rice dish was incredible. It included veg, pickles and sauces and the rice had a lovely crusted bottom. Fantastic!

A beautiful restaurant with a good vibe and great ambience. We really enjoyed our food here. The meals were packed with flavour, the Donkatzu had a beautifully seasoned crust and meat was cooked to perfection and the dolsot bibimbap sauce really tied everything together, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. The mojito cocktail was very nicely presented with lots of garnish. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food came out quick, eventhough the restuarant was busy and there was only 1 chief on that night. Very impressed.

A late boujee Brunch after our voyage from the islands... What better place to indulge in Asia Pacific cuisine & recontextualised mojito soju fruit cocktails. Our dishes ironically not served on a red plate, but delicious none the less. The decor was comfortable & quirky reminiscent of your deep fashioned aunties house. Highly recommend 5 stars 2 moustache twizzles

Used to come here more often, wasn’t sure if they have changed a new chef or new owner, my recent experience was terrible, the food was extremely extremely salty, the quality and quantity both not good, small portion for the price paid not worth it. Very disappointed. Location is the gold, they should have done better?
Grace L — Google review
The place is nice. I am a fan of korean food and have traveled around Australia’s to find the best Korean chicken. This one is ok but not wow. Price range is a bit expensive as I normally go to korean chicken platter in Perth where I get 15pieces (slightly smaller) with 3 different flavour + chips and salad. Bibimbab is nice and I appreciate the hot stone bowl. Kimchi friend rice is a bit plain. So we ended up putting a bit of soy garlic sauce from the chicken. Silken tofu is spicy. For Australian standard might be too spicy but for me it was perfect. There are quite plenty of seafood which I appreciate. Overall the experience was ok. Price is a bit overpriced bit then again it is located in location and in tourist town.

Great location overlooking the lagoon . We only wanted a smoothy. Happy to help and had a great table with a perfect view . Friendly staff, easy check in , awesome tasting smoothies with a magnificent view. The food looked great too.
Greg C — Google review
“Braised Pork” was water boiled, served like with no seasoning just drizzled with a commercial chilli sauce, side was just salad leave mix with plain rice. There were only 3-4 small pieces of dry thin beef in the other dish, with very little vegetable. Very small serving, taste bad and we didn’t finish the meal. Overpriced, and no cooking techniques. Long waiting times even though the restaurant was only half full. Would rate 0 stars if there’s an option. Look at how much food it was served in the black bowl!

If anyone looking for proper K-bbq experience then this place is perfect for you! Me and my partner had lunch couple pack, and added more meat on top of it (cause we love meat and all meats were nice and fresh!) Rice and soup were included and extra home made sauces and heaps different veggies to go with it as well which is all traditional Korean bbq style. It was very satisfied lunch and we would definitely come back for another bbq session next time.

If you're looking for a vibrant spot to unwind with friends in Airlie Beach, Mulligans Sports Bar is the place to be! This welcoming venue strikes the perfect balance between casual and fun, making it an ideal hangout that avoids the typical backpacker scene or overpriced dining. The new menu features mouthwatering dishes like the picanha steak plate that you simply must try.
It’s been a while since I’ve a 5-star all round! Here’s everything you need to know about Mulligans. Pro: Friendly staff from the moment you step foot into the venue no matter where you’re from. Stylish venue with unique seating. FREE POOL ALL DAY LONG! Other activities (however at a slight cost) Darts with automatic scoring and virtual golf. The food is awesome, probably some of the best in town and filling. The venue is covered in TVs with different sporting events on and some great music in the background. The drinks, where do I start! I’ve added some photos but the drinks are 10/10 each crafted with time and care. What you need to know: I expect this venue will continue to become more and more busy so if you’re in a large group and want to play darts or golf perhaps get here a little earlier however it doesn’t take long for these activities to become available again. Don’t forget to leave them a review if you come here. They definitely deserve the love.

This place could be a time vortex... in a good way. Drinks and staff are awesome, foods next level and all the games you can think of. If you're looking for somewhere to drink and kill a few (or many) hours, then this is the place!

Where to Start….. Mulligans is hands down one of the best spots to visit in Airlie Beach. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you're stepping into a familiar place with good mates—even if you don’t know a soul yet. Cooper, Molly, and Jake—you are the dream team. You’ve clearly found your calling, showing everyone what true hospitality looks like. Phillip, the chef, your food was absolutely on point. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. I highly recommend trying all of Mulligans' food, drinks, and activities. But above all, it’s the outstanding service that sets this place apart. You guys are absolutely killing it. I can’t wait to come back soon! PS. I love all the merch I bought too Thank you! Lauren

Mulligans nails it. Good vibes, great games, and even better drinks. Such a cool stylish little hangout spot to throw some darts, hit the golf simulator, and miss 5 pool shots in a row. Cocktails are so good too, we loved it. For sure the new hang out spot 🙌

It was a good spot for us to chill out and kill some time. 2 pool tables, free pacman arcade game machine, nice quality wooden chess boards set at a few tables that were all free to play. Electronic Darts and golf were reserved so we couldn't play but ot looked fun.

Best place to hang with some friends that's not a backpacker dive or an overpriced restaurant! New menu is top-notch, try the picanha steak plate you won't regret it! The dart boards that count your score for you are always a hit, plus free pool tables and other card games like Monopoly Deal and Uno, and that's not even talking about the Golf Simulator- there's fun for the whole family! We were there on Friday and the whole cocktail menu was $20. Unheard of in Airlie for top notch cocktails. Highly recommend!!!

Located in Airlie Beach, Domino's Pizza offers a wide variety of pizzas and other dishes for delivery or carryout. Customers can easily place their orders online and have them delivered right to their door. Despite some initial hiccups with missing items and wrong orders, the staff at this location is dedicated to providing excellent service. One customer even had a unique experience with a delivery by 'Michael, the bike king,' who impressed with his promptness and friendly demeanor.
We love the loaded peperoni pizza and the lava cake. Also the staff was very friendly.

DISGUSTING on all accounts! I waited just over an hour after I placed the order & it had not progressed on the app, before I rang. The girl who answered was very abrupt (but in a nice tone) to the point she ended the phone call. She said they were “short on drivers so yeah, there’s a wait, have a good night, bye”… so after 1hr & 40minutes it finally arrived & it’s awful! Not hot, burnt, a piece of chilli or something hot on a Hawaiian pizza, mushroom, red onion - Chicken on the Meatlovers, poorly made… I was disappointed but my kids even more so. Won’t be back!

Ordered two pizzas with garlic cheesy crust, received two cheesy crust pizzas. I went back to the store the next day, the cashier explained that it wasn't necessarily a big deal and that he could just give a one dollar refund... A quick question for customer service: if I order a pair of running shoes and receive the same model but not in the same color, do I have the right to complain? Yes, even though the model has the same performance, but not the same color. The same goes for the pizza: it's similar, but it's not what I ordered or what I wanted.

absolutely horrendous service and taste. pizzas were small in size and when we asked for one of our pizzas to be large and thin ‘n’ crispy the guy rudely said “no, you can only have one or the other” like we were meant to know??? anyways pizzas and customer service was disgusting DO NOT GO HERE

1st time ordered from this place. Ordered 7.08pm & order arrived 8.25pm.. longest wait with any Demino order & the "sweet chilli prawn" pizza is missing the sweet chilli topping making it a bit bland... Granted when arrival, food was with good temp & was generous with the prawn..

I recently ordered from Domino's in Airlie Beach and was impressed with the speed and efficiency of their service. The pizza arrived hot and fresh, and the toppings were generous. The crust had a nice, crispy texture, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The ordering process was seamless, and the delivery was right on time. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely order from them again!
Simon T — Google review
The pizza was decent, ordering delivery as a tourist is a terrible experience as they force you to have an Australian phone number (how are tourists supposed to order pizza). And on top of that the delivery service takes 30 minutes longer than expected . And ON TOP of that, the size of the pizzas is actually laughable( this is supposed to be a large???) This is closer to a personal pizza than a medium pizza. I ordered 6 pizzas for 9 people , and it left all of us starving… take a look at the size of a “large” pizza slice . Apart from that the taste was alright…. i guess…. Dominos reach out to me, we need to talk

On three occasions I have not been to order a meatball sub and was told we don't have any meatballs left. On my third time of this happening, I asked if they were able to heat some up? The staff replied with 'we only just started' no clear yes or no. I was able to have some of my order fulfilled however my daughters 6 inch was basically full of sauce and she didn't eat it. Really disappointing as a family of 4 and we all love to eat the meatball sub however I doubt I'll go back there again. I then noticed on my walk when going back to my car about 15mins later the two young workers sitting out on the steps talking to other people. Didn't seem to be interested in being in the shop working.
Robyn S — Google review
There was a note on the front door saying closed for a team meeting from 4-6 pm. I saw them playing/hanging out on the side door bored at around 5. Then I came back at 6:15. They were still closed and came out and said we need another 15 minutes or more. They were not doing anything but hanging out in the back. A young man opened the door and said are you waiting for a take away order and I said no. Then they opened after more people we waiting 5 min later. I said I would like a meatball sub and they said we don’t have any. Such an unfortunate experience. The young man and you girl were not happy to be there.
Jamie P — Google review
Some of the staff are nice however the food has been pretty bad most of the time, the last time I went they were out of half of the salads and sauces had only one cheese available and only had salt no pepper, lettuce was also starting to go brown. but still happy to charge full prices. Rather spend the extra money on fuel and drive to the prossy store for a better sub, might give them another chance eventually but I have been pretty generous already
Gareth H — Google review
Super slow service. Honestly the longest wait with one person in front of me. Young lady didn’t look like she wanted to be there took her time making all the subs, Meatballs were cold.
Keisha M — Google review
Unfortunately worst subway store I’ve been to. Staff make it seem like an inconvenience to them everytime you walk in to order. Most of the time there is limited stock and a sign on the door saying they’re closed for team meetings or restock in the middle of opening hours. Store is usually dirty and seems unhygienic.
Sammy N — Google review
Waited 20 minutes in line before I actually got served. There were only a few people in front of me but the 2 ladies who were working looked like they had no idea what they were doing. When I did finally get to the front of the line they only had 2 varieties of bread left, not the one I wanted. Varieties of cheese were limited, needed more staff on at busy times during lunch. It was a good foot long in the end but wasn’t worth the wait.
Isabella C — Google review
Have just tried for 45 mins to order subway. Two footling, nothing big. All phone numbers including on the website are all disconnected. Downloaded the app, put in order and it said I was exceeding order, provided a number to call. Also disconnected. You obviously rely on walk ins. Tommy S — Google review
I have Nothing new to add as other reviews have mentioned it as well, but my gosh are the serving portions stingy. $18 for a “big” burrito bowl and it’s the most smallest serving size I’ve ever seen in my life from any zambreros. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. I expect better because the prices ain’t cheap and we get a piss ant size. Do better.
Michael A — Google review
Went in today 2/6/25 at 1540. Ordered a regular bowl. The contents I got in my bowl was for a small bowl. I got the smallest sprinkles of everything I asked for. It barely filled half the bowl but got charged still for a regular. That’s disgusting service.
TTC — Google review
Extremely stingy on toppings. Service absolutely disgraceful, charged extra because didnt IQ salsa on signature so they reverted back to a classic to extort an extra $1 out of a customer - never does any other store do that. No wonder businesses struggle. Worst store in Queensland, will never go back.
Dan L — Google review
Taste was fine but compared to other Zambreros, the burritos were tiny. See photo of this 18$ „big“ Burrito with a regular burrito and a Pixel 8 for scale.

So unbelievably stingy. your paying a lot of money and get about 5 bucks of food worth out of it. Do better. Put more bloody food in the bowl.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but we were very disappointed by our meal here this afternoon! We started by asking the young girl about a deal they were offering, and just nodded and said she didn’t know about it but she’s sure it’s fine. We ordered a regular burrito and a regular bowl. The bowl came with 1 tiny spoon of sour cream and a tiny spoon of added avocado. Got to the till to pay and she charged us $30 and didn’t give us the deal price we previously asked about. Does one teaspoon of avo really cost $4 now?! We politely questioned the cost but the response was short and rude. She made no effort to rectify the issue and just walked away. We left hungry and definitely won’t be returning.

Super slow. Waited more than 5mins at the drive through to place order (no car in front) and then another close to 20mins for food. We only ordered chicken, half empty cold fries, a coke and missing sauce. Very disappointed kiddo bc his treat is cold. They brought the food for the two cars behind me at the same time. Wouldn’t be so bad if the order was correct. They often give wrong orders, miss items and take forever at this shop. Don’t go in a hurry - even if the place is pretty empty

Very disappointed with my recent order from Hungry Jack’s Airlie beach. Our order took over a hour, when we asked them at the half hour mark about our order we were told they had processed it as being completed. Then took another half hour to even give us our order and when I finally received my food, it was cold. On top of that, part of my order was missing—even though I paid for it. It’s really frustrating to spend money and not get what you ordered, especially when the quality is already poor. Not the experience I expect from a major fast food chain. Won’t be ordering again anytime soon.

Food was better than I thought it would be. Staff were not motivated to provide service and seemed to not want to be there. The atmosphere was non-existent. Kayla — Google review
For a second I thought i was not in australia! The spicy crispy chicken was the worst I’ve ever had, this place is a joke! Let me explain further, first of all theres no menu, just a bunch of photos, so if you are a tourist, bad luck and airlie is well known by its touristic appeal. The decoration is something from 1992! The chairs are very uncomfortable, toilets are dirty, the exit sign had bugs on it from god knows what stone age. The toilet door almost touches the toilet seat, how are people supposed to get in and shut the door ?? The hand dryer is a push bottom, against hygiene protocol, unless it was accompanied by paper towels which it didn’t. All do respect i always leave reviews but this is gonna stick to show you how disappointed i am and im sure many others. Let get to the actual meal, Fries double fried, im a chef and i know The amount of salt on them is unbearable The burger well, it’s supposed to be golden crispy, i attached a photo of your poster for your own records. Thats false advertisement and misleading. It was oily and dark brown, that means it had been cooked for hours, sitting somewhere and was double fried again when you received an order. Someone actually cut the chicken with a knife to see if its cooked, like seriously? Thats what amateurs would do! You guys should close that down and give that spot to some other franchise who can satisfy the locals and the tourists too. Im not someone who is mad, no I am a local guide and its my duty to let ppl know what kinda kitchen you have there so nothing personal.
Hesham K — Google review
We do a take away on a weekly basis and have had to tell the manage how bad the chicken items are. Firstly, the tenders are so over cooked, and then pretty ridiculously overpriced $12 for 5 small pieces. For that price throw some fries in there..You get 10 Wings at KFC for that. Jacks fried chicken burger is so awfully hard as well and almost inedible. Oh, and I can't remember when I haven't been asked to drive up to the parking to wait. Even when there's not a car behind me. Not exactly a drive through. The kind manager probably doesnt have many good days and I empathise because he probably doesnt want to be there really ...but I do hope things improve because its on my daily route and makes my kid happy. I just now call it Angry Jack's.

I am sorry to be leaving this review but I have to say I cannot understand all the five star reviews. The mi goreng (pictured) tastes exactly like 2 minute noodles (yum, but not at food establishment prices - it’s what I would have cooked for 67c as a student), the pad thai is about the same. Neither dish had any veggies or egg in them. It’s just noodles. The Thai chicken had a tasty outer glaze but was very dry inside and the satay was the same but also chewy. The sauce was super sweet. The food available is limited and mainly fried. If you have any dietary restrictions I would not eat here. Maybe okay after a big swim or after drinking. The food server was really nice and generous with servings and disposable cutlery. After a big day, we were disappointed that we listened to the google reviews and went there.

I love this place, I always eat here when I go to airlie beach. I wish one day the chef will be able to get a bigger place where we can sit and dine in, best of luck for the Airlie hunger stop.

Seoul Chicken in Airlie Beach is a hidden gem that serves up some of the best Korean fried chicken around. This cozy spot offers a delightful menu featuring crispy chicken that's tender on the inside, paired perfectly with their homemade spicy BBQ sauce. The $8 Korean chili rice cake is a must-try, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Many visitors rave about the chewy tteokbokki, which complements the chicken beautifully when dipped in its sauce.
I will give five stars for Seoul Chicken. This is my soul food :) Chicken is crispy outside and tender on the inside. They made the korean spicy BBQ sauce !!! That is so right !!!! Spicy rice cake(tteokbokki) is also very chewy and enough spicy. I dipped my chicken in the tteokbookki sauce. I did not waste any sauce hahaha. I loved it so much. thank you Seoul Chicken !!

Here, Seoul chicken is a crazy good korean chicken restaurant. I ordered 8$ korean chili rice cake and 10$ chicken tender, rice cake was just cooked right and the chicken dish was alot and crispy. I have visited here whenever I headed to the land. The food cheers me up a lot for hard days i have experienced due to covid 19 outbreak. Try this chicken with beer. its gonna feel like the heaven..! cheap and good! Thanks for the food !

Non descript hole in the wall kitchen behind a bar which was quite surprising!! The kimchi pancake is better than what they have in quite a few Sydney restaurants. The chicken was crispy skinned but juicy. The sauce needed a bit more flavour (had the spring onion variation) but overall quite good

The chicken is tasty and crispy. Souce sweet and spice just right. I would prefer the kimchi pancake traditional crispy. But I can't deny cheese gives it a different taste. Maybe should be better to have the option: with or without cheese. Give it a go!!

The food is amazing! Cooked fresh and the chicken still as crispy as first cooked after the 20 minute drive home and super juicy and flavourful. Everything we had was awesome and the service really friendly.
