10/10 – Absolutely Delicious! I ordered from here via Uber Eats tonight and WOW 🤯 every flavour was fantastic! I had the chicken and lemongrass curry with rice, and the flavours were absolutely sensational. I also got the entrée for two, which included a variety of homemade spring rolls (each one unique and delicious), fresh summer rolls, and prawns in a surprisingly tasty crumb. The popcorn chicken was a hit too! Portions weren’t huge, but everything was so flavourful and satisfying. I really enjoyed these dishes – will definitely be ordering again!

It is our first time here and we have a marvellous time. Our food came out fast. We had Lemon Grass Beef with Noodles, Stir Fried Prawns with Rice and Salad and Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk. They were all tasty and well seasoned. We will definitely come back again.

Have always enjoyed the pho at Saigon corner! Def the best in Palmy if not in NZ. Had the chance to get them to do catering for an education event too and it was simply amazing and for a good price. The staff was very accommodating too for my late pick up even though they were supposed to close early on that day. Highly recommend!

The noodle salad appeared enticing and tasty, especially the crispy roast pork. The pho broth has a robust beef flavor, but it's salty and should be served with more vegetables and herbs. The staff is cheerful and welcoming. I plan to return and sample more dishes.

Had rice paper rolls with peanut sauce 11$ which were good Also had beef noodle soup. This was 19$. Not to my liking. And fried chicken which was really good. 8$. Good menu but beef noodle didn’t work out for me . Certainly worth a visit. Will try something different next time..

Love the squid salad, so nice and generous, good prices and everything is always so fresh. Nice decor, good and fast service. Visited again recently after lockdown, the service was wonderful and complied to the covid-19 rules. I had the hot Vietnamese coffee to drink which was amazing! We got the chicken skewers appetizer, coconut crumbed prawns and popcorn chicken. And again I got the delicious squid salad. I bought the special duck curry home for my partners dinner and he also loved it! Will definitely be returning

He a very tasty dinner here yesterday. South Indian cuisine is a little different to your classic Indian takeaway and it was a welcome new experience. The starters were yummy, curry’s tasty, paratha bread nice and cocktails delicious. The waiter was patient with all our questions about the dishes and periodically checked in to offer drinks and see that we were enjoying our meals. Overall a very good experience

Food quality can be variable, sometimes good, other times quality is lacking. Excellent central location in the square, with plenty of public parking options. Table settings inside with tidy decor and appearance.

Probably THE best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The story behind this restaurant was beautiful and it was nice that the staff were inclined to share this. While the restaurant name is a bit of a laugh, the meaning behind it and the back ground is truly beautiful in what they’re wanting to share through the food, service and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The food is great portion size (could not eat it all!) is so generous and the quality is amazing. I love that it’s South Indian food too which you don’t see too much of it around, very authentic! When we’re back in Palmy we will definitely come back, highly recommend!

I dropped in here to grab a takeaway meal before my wife returned from overseas. Absolutely delicious meal, I got a lamb korma and a butter chicken, some breads and these lentil donut thingies. One of the best takeaway meals I have ever had.

The food was delicious, and the waitress was very cute and sweet. However, the drink order was wrong despite being repeated, and both entrees and mains arrived at the same time, even though we clearly asked for entrees first and mains later. It ended up being the complete opposite of what we wanted. The staff also didn’t check back for a long time, so we couldn’t order more drinks. No beers on tap, and $12 for a can of beer is very expensive.

The service here is fantastic and they have a large range of craft beers. We had a variety of dishes: prawn, duck, chickpeas and vege korma. Some of the dishes ordered as mild were a bit too hot compared to those ordered as medium. This seems to be consistent across our experiences eating here. The breads are very tasty and the desserts can be very nice. Unfortunately they had run out of mango lassi which was sad.

My salmon is average. Pork belly and fish of the day are beautiful, especially pork belly, a must try. Friendly and prompt service, however there is a surcharge for credit card.

Visited recently on a Sunday evening, didn't need to book and nice ambience in restaurant. Service very good and personable. As we were being seated we were offered water, still or sparkling - and we took still. Menu good, but the food was lacking in flavour and everything had cheese sauce - even the vegetables. Vegetarian pumpkin pasta dish had no flavour and was most disappointing. When it came to pay the bill, we were charged $11 for the water. We did not ask for 'bottled', we asked for 'still' and were not given an option of tap water or bottled as I would have expected if a charge of $11 was to be incurred. When we questioned the cost of the water, we were told it was restaurant policy. Would not return, sorry ;-( firstly as the food wasn't good enough for the price and being charged $11 for water, was not acceptable.

Arrived without a booking but the lovely staff found us a table. The service was superb and so was our food. Definitely worth booking as this restaurant was really busy.

Beautiful and delicious food, set in a warm cosy atmosphere with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Made for an excellent birthday night out. Will definitely be back.

We (2) recently visited Yeda for lunch & got a few side dishes so we could have a bit of everything The place is spacious, great for groups or just a simple lunch or dinner date The food was nice & tasty as expected We received complimentary Miso on arrival We ordered Sweet n sour pork (changed the rice to noodles extra $3) Spring rolls, Sushi, takoyaki, teriyaki chicken w rice & My favorite out of the dishes was the Pork Gyoza Service was fast and waitress staff was attentive however taking plates from our table while we’re still eating and could clearly see there was still food in our plates to be eaten is quite rude & a big No from me! I get it if we’d finished what we were eating, it was almost like they wanted you in & out that’s the vibe I was getting, yet the place wasn’t packed. We will come back in future, let’s hope the waitress staff take this feedback on

A friend recommended we visit Yeda, I'm glad we took up the recommendation. Wife & I chose the $15 lunch deal - starter & a main plus a miso soup. The food was very good 👍 The service was great 👍 There are so many options on the menu, but you can't help but think another visit is on the card's surely.

I love going to Yeda! The menu is fantastic and really accommodates all dietary requirements, which is such a bonus. The portions are huge for the price, and everything is so tasty. I always get the peanut satay noodle soup (so good!) and my partner goes for the tom yum fried rice. It can get a little loud at times, but the atmosphere and vibe are great. We come here often because the food and service are consistently good. I did have one awkward dining experience in the past that left me feeling a bit let down, but I emailed the manager and they were incredibly kind and responsive. They apologised, offered compensation, and really took the feedback on board. That kind of openness and willingness to improve makes me happy to keep coming back.

Had lunch. We had sizzling chicken /‘d beef sizzling. 21$ each with rice and the food was worth the value. Service was a little interesting but all good. Certainly recommended.. ===== Visited again multiple times 2024. Food quality has improved with acceptable prices. (Plus halal) Had chicken 23$/ szilling 23.5$ / dumpling 10$ -3 pieces/ sushi 21 and other dishes. Certainly recommended.

Food very good. We had the sizzling beef and one of the duck dishes. $8.50 for a small portion of rice though. Seating isn't that comfortable and when we went, a few child diners as well (so if you don't like kids, beware).

I come here often and the food is always Delicious! Great prices, they’re fast at cooking so you don’t have to wait long for the food. The sushi and sweet and sour pork is definitely one of my favourites and the Ice Chocolates amazing too. I definitely recommend booking a table because they often get busy.

Absolutely outstanding food. We got takeaways and we were so impressed with everything from Yeda. The online menu had our mouths watering. Actually dribbling. Lol. The selection is amazing. The list of dishes just kept scrolling to more and more delicious looking meals. The food was ready so quickly, it was crazy. Every dish was perfect. I don't mean good. Perfect! We ordered way to much food but couldn't stop eating it. The cost of all that outstanding food was under $70.00 Thats 7 different dishes and separated rise. 10/10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Highly recommend. We will be back every time we are in Palmerston North.

Indian indulgence is incredible every, single, time! For years it has been amazing. The food is exceptional, the team are great and there is fast service. Thank you team! Best Indian restaurant I’ve been to.

Decided to have Indian food today, ambiance is great especially with our 3 little ones! Staff was friendly, good portion of food for its price. Their garlic cheese naan is a must try! Although we found their mango lassi too sweet for us, and beef might need a bit more tender. Otherwise, better experience compared to other indian restos in Palmy!

This place is incredible! After leaving palmy for Wellington I find myself heading back just for Indian Indulgence. I don’t know what the team do different but I haven’t found a comparable restaurant in palmy or Wellington. Highly recommend any of the starters especially the ones that come with the magic green sauce! While the restaurant feels a little like a doctors waiting room and there can sometimes be a little bit of a language barrier. I’ve come to associate this with the best Indian I’ve ever had. I eat a lot of Indian.

Bit gutted after our last meal here. This was our second time getting dinner from here, the first time was great and we thought we had finally found our go to Indian place in Palmy. However we were a bit disappointed after our last meal from here. The chicken, was yuck and we couldn’t eat it. We ended up only having the sauce. We ordered medium spice, while one curry had spice the other definitely didn’t have any.

Indian Indulgence is the best Indo-Nepalese restaurant so far in the heart of Palmy. Authentic Nepalese momo and chowmin was beyond awesome and won my heart. Amazing hospitality and the owner is a wonderful Nepalese individual to have a short chat.

Best butter chicken in Palmerston North / Feilding. Their dishes are so authentic and beautiful - have to shout out their cheese naans too.

Horrendous Uber Eats prices!! Sweet and Sour Chicken $46.00! ABSOLUTE ROBBERY for disgusting food. Portions not that great at all and other food overall very ho hum. 30.05.2025 Extremely disappointed with the new ownership and terrible service. I’ve been a regular here for a long time, but after tonight’s experience, I won’t be returning. The moment I walked in, no one greeted me or showed me to a table. I wasn’t given a menu, so I stood at the counter to order—yet no one acknowledged me for over a minute. Finally, a woman (who seemed to be the owner) came over and rudely asked where I was sitting. I told her I hadn’t been seated yet, and she just said, “Go to table 16.” When I replied that I wanted to order first, she impatiently asked what I wanted. Since I hadn’t even seen a menu, I just asked for combination fried rice. She tried to push me to order more, and when I declined, she became visibly annoyed. Her attitude was hostile from start to finish—no smile, just rudeness. I’ve spent a lot of money here over the years, but after this awful treatment, I won’t waste another dime. The place has gone downhill, and the service is now unbearable. Avoid unless you enjoy being treated poorly. Updated on 01.06.2025 Dear Manager I’m writing to address some discrepancies between your review of my recent visit and what I actually experienced at your restaurant. First, you mentioned that I viewed the menu on board, but only part of the menu was displayed, and fried rice wasn’t even listed. Had it been available, I would have considered ordering it. Second, you claimed that the staff greeted me with a "stiff smile." The reality was quite different—I stood at the counter while a young staff member glanced at me, then turned to another colleague (who seemed more senior) before finally asking for my order with what I can only describe as a cold expression. There was no warm greeting or smile, stiff or otherwise. Third, regarding the ordering process, I simply wanted to place my order first since I was still deciding. I didn’t catch whether the staff asked about dine-in or takeaway initially, but her reaction to my request was unnecessarily abrupt. Are your staff required to follow rigid steps (like confirming dine-in/takeaway before taking the order), or is there flexibility to accommodate the customer’s preference? As for seating, I was asked, “Table 2 or Table 16?” but I had no idea where either table was, nor was it clear whether she meant “table for two” or “Table 2.” The interaction felt rushed, and her impatience only added to my confusion. Lastly, you accused me of being rude to a staff member who was supposedly on her first day. I had no way of knowing she was in training—my comment was simply expressing hope that next time, the staff would provide menus promptly. I was upset (not rude—there’s a difference), and as a paying customer, I expect basic service standards regardless of whether an employee is new or experienced. Instead of arguing with customers over misunderstandings, I suggest focusing on improving staff training and service quality. Fantastic experience taking our two children out for their first noodles and dumplings. From order to plate, everything was quick and seamless. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the lovely lady who greeted and seated us at table 17 and kindly helped us with a high chair for our son. I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name, but I take my hat off to you — the way you accommodated large groups, organised tables, and kept everything running so smoothly was impressive. A very busy restaurant clearly run by people who care. Well done — we’ll be back!

Had a delicious meal from here! Desk ladies were lovely and helpful and the BBQ pork fried noodles were amazing! The wonton soup was refreshing but if there's one thing you need to get it is the dessert dumplings. They were fantastic! Dumplings filled with lemon curd, caramel, chocolate with sauces and whipped cream- utterly fantastic! Great place, reasonably priced and great food.

As a first responder they advertised a 10 % discount. Ordered tonight and was not given discount despite being in uniform. Also food was ready in take away bag for over 10 minutes. Girl were distracted with folding napkins instead of customer service. Also no apology when they called my number (I was seated in front of their service counter the entire time). Would not recommend. And false advertising for First Respondef discount!

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review unless I’m actually thoroughly disappointed with service. My partner is thoroughly rattled at her most recent interaction, two gluten free half portions of two different meals were ordered and unfortunately they messed up the order and brought out two half portions of the same meal, making one meal portion. Despite the cashier knowing they had messed up, there was no offer of rectifying the mistake and additionally would not offer a refund of the extra charge for two seperate half portions even though we only received ONE full portion of ONE meal. I understand mistakes happen in the kitchen, but I also believe in offering to fix an issue when you’re made a mistake. Generally we quite like this establishment but this has left us both quite peeved and unlikely to return any time soon.

We recently held a large birthday event at Flavour and were so impressed by the service. Nothing was a hassle, the booking (which was quite last minute) was super easy and contact with the manager was super prompt, they worked around us to make it stress free. The food options they offered were amazing. We went with a range of platters which were full of variety, served beautifully and absolutely delicious. Our guests were super happy. The manager and bar staff were absolutely amazing and took care of anything we needed and checked in on us throughout the night. Lots of our guests also commented on the amazing cocktails. We absolutely will hold more events here. Thank you all so much!

We got 2 orders of egg Benedict’s and kids hotcakes. The staff where friendly and nice especially the tall girl with dark hair who took out orders back. Received both plates off eggs bene with raw eggs. Yes everyone loves a runny egg for there bene but not when all the white is uncooked as well the staff took it back to the chef who pulled a face of disgust at us then proceeded to remake which took 25mins just for us to receive hard boiled eggs instead. Great place of your stopping for a ice cream, would strongly recommend avoiding ordering from the menu. We ate what we got and left, won’t be back.

We booked this venue for a birthday party and had the best time! The food and service were great and everything was fairly priced. The karaoke was an awesome bonus. We will absolutely be recommending Flavour as a venue! They catered to our needs and ensured we had an awesome night. Thank you Flavour!

$9.50 coffee Frappe. That took nearly half an hour to come out. Went straight in the bin what a waste of time and money! FYI it's a 4 min drive from the shop to my house. 1st photo the min i got home 2nd photo 2 minuets later. Yuck.

Although they made a mistake with the service (order fell through the system), they did not fail to compensate! Staff were super friendly and approachable, and admitted to their mistake and sincerely apologized. Food was absolutely delicious, their open chicken sandwhich was perfectly cooked and seasoned, along with their beautiful steak, 10/10! Then, their Belgium waffle was phenomenal, I can't stop talking about it! Overall, well done Flavour!

After a long absence, decided to have dinner with family there. Actually, it was a quick light lunch I had with 3 colleagues the previous month that I decided to come back for a full meal. The food was not only good but the portions were huge compared with other Chinese restaurants. We had lemon fish, sweet & sour pork, combination fried rice, combination vegetables & deep fried mushrooms. Added some Yum Char dishes as they were available; not just during lunch time. So good that I took 2 of my colleagues there for Yum Char the next day; which they thoroughly enjoyed. Not sure why they were not very busy like other Chinese restaurants that have Yum Char. Another pus for this restaurant is that there is no surcharge for paywave & I was able to use my credit card to earn airpoints. They also didn't charge for takeaway containers for our leftovers; again unlike the other restaurants. Will certainly be back again soon.

We were looking forward to some nice dishes for our dinner that night but was utterly disappointed. Ordered the Deep Fried Squid Tentacles in Pepper Salt ($14) and it was awful. Portion was very small (even for a appetizer); squid was sticky, soggy with no pepper taste whatsoever. The Braised Fish with Pickled Vegetable with not any better. Again, soggy fish in ooey gooey liquid instead of nice clear/watery soup. It ruined our dinner that night.

Authentic Chinese food with generous portions! The dishes tasted just like back home, very flavorful and well-prepared. Portions are huge, two of us couldn’t finish and had to pack the leftovers, which was great for later. Highly recommend if you’re looking for real Chinese flavors and value for money.

From the moment my partner and I walked in the doors we were greeted by a lovely girl who had a big smile on her face. We were shown to our tables and given a couple of menus. Then the food came. The Crumbed prawns were to die for, and the pork buns were also really yum. For Main I got the Garlic chicken, and my partner got the pepper chicken. We really enjoyed our meals and will definitely be coming back here again in the future.

My wife and I decided to eat here after hearing good reviews from friends. The food portions were huge, and everything was absolutely delicious. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Peking duck with pancakes. The service was perfect. The staff were very attentive and made sure all of the customers were well taken care of.

Beautiful food, massive menu but authentic food. Prices higher than the average Chinese takeout but food is definitely outstanding. When dining there is a banquet option but isn't offered as standard so just ask if this suits you better. Clean and tidy restaurant and friendly staff. Highchairs available and is wheelchair accessible. (unsure about the bathroom tho)

After placing an online order and after not getting a confirmation text after 10 minutes I called. Got told it would be 25 mins. Arrived 25 mins later. Only to be waiting an hour for food. The wait staff are lovely but it does not excuse waiting that long for one meal. Especially after being told 25 minutes on the phone. Should have told order could not be done rather than waiting in store for an hour.

Great value burgers Great quality chips, but VERY poor quantity of chips. After having lived in the North Shore and Central Auckland, I'm not a stranger to stingy hot chips servings. This however, was the smallest serving I've ever received for $4.50, didn't even fill a small bowl... See photo (hand for comparison and I have very small hands). If the chips serving size was double (like it is in many places), then it would have been 5 stars. I'm told the smorgasbord here is good, came for a classic burger and chips to celebrate an A+ though :)

Friendly staff is my main rating for this local takeaway. Like any takeaway, there isn't much to talk about in its atmosphere other than, it is clear, tity, and place to sit down while waiting. The food is just as I was expecting, always consistent, fast, and reasonable pricing.

Though fish was a large portion, the batter was soggy so were the chips. The regular fish was not tender and flaky , rather hard and chunky. A blue cod cost $12.5 while other takeaways charge $6.5 ... but maybe their other food taste good.

Went there at 6pm for smorgasbord. There were very little dishes to choose from. Was ok for me even though there were two tiny pieces of dried up Egg Fu Young but what makes me give a 2 Stars is the way lumps of flour batters were mixed into both the Sweet Sour Pork n Battered Fried Pork to make them like the real stuff! Never felt so cheated before.

The Fish'n Chips were bad. The fish was tasteless and by no means fresh. The chip's were just plain and just the regular frozen chip's from any supermarket - they had no crunch or bite to them and were way to salty. Only the size of the portion was good, but would rather liked to have less with better quality. Prize 3$ each.

As of 2023, price is now $9.50 for two burgers. Three pieces of fish in a fish burger, but I like the two Jumbo burgers. Open late. Probably the most popular Chinese takeaways in town. Dine in ok. Not comfortable but fantastic for this price range.

Staff sometimes good sometimes rude. This place is known as the tokken drunk people or winz people fish and chip/takeaway place in palmy. Used to be really cheap but recently prices have gone up, maybe because of living wage or new minimum wages cost to cover maybe why? But with things costing more, some things on the menu don't taste as good as they used to.

Was really disappointed with the quality and quantity of food. I spent over $270 in one order. The chips were all rubbery and the quantity was disgusting for 11 scoops. Not value for money. Due to the area of town for our get together we could not get them from our local fish and chip shop. When we have spent that much money at our local they would have given us a couple of bottles of drink. They need to up their game. You can go to Hilltop restaurant and get a good steak, chips and salad for $15.00.

Not too bad the fish and chips were quite nice and well drained of fat. The hotdog was a hot dog with cheese. Totally not expected as unliked by the consumer.

Had a mostly enjoyable meal of the mixed Chinese food, definitely one of the nicer places that let you pick your own food. Unfortunately the let down was when we got to crunchy egg foo yong. Please take more care in making this dish - unfortunately there was quite a lot of crushed eggshell throughout our egg. Most of it was too small to photograph until I got to the two big shards of shell as per the photo. This was the only letdown to an otherwise enjoyable meal. Will try again in the future and will update review accordingly Premises very clean!

Really good selection of Chinese and fish n chips that is competitively priced. Service friendly and efficient in what must be one of the cleanest takeaway stores I’ve visited. Parking is limited outside but we’ll worth the effort ✅

They used to be great, their chips were crispy and tasty. Now they batter sizzlers and call it a hotdog.

We got a voucher from the restaurant, so we gave it a try. The food was definitely delicious. Personally, I thought the waiting time was a bit long (almost half an hour for fish and chips). The staffs were nice and friendly.

Had the Cardrona Beef Burger, Crème Brûlée + husband had bangers n’ mash + sticky date pudding. We were a party of 14 so large range of meals and the consensus was the same: food was excellent but not big enough, especially at the price point ($30+ for a main meal, some much higher and smaller). You can see the portion size of the chips provided. Staff had excellent service, and food was provided to the entire party at the same time (all hot) just after an hour of ordering, so timing was very good for a party of that size (entrees were out in about 30mins). Beware the female bathroom sink: tsunami warning required. Overall, would happily return but knocked a star off for potion size and the unexpected tidal wave.

Great food, staff were absolutely lovely, music was good. Food was really good, chips were seasoned well, dumplings were juicy, burgers were tasty. All food was seasoned well didn't even need to use salt or pepper. Our Mister 8 month old, loved his chips. Very accommodating to our needs, such as needing a high chair and being able to get a separate bowl of chips for our boy to enjoy.

Food was good, $50 good? It was a 300grm steak cook M/R with mash potatoes and 2 onion rings. The steak was good, nice and the mash was very yummy with gravy. I would go back but wouldn't get the steak again, the fish the person had next to me looked good.

Visited with a group today for drinks. Excellent service and great quality drinks. I also had a dessert and it was fantastic in flavour but on the small side. Definitely will be back even if for the service alone as it was that good. The ladies on the bar deserve a pay rise.

Such a lovely night out. Staff were super lovely. Our burgers were amazing and the atmosphere was superbly laid back. Only thing I will say is that the tables upstairs seemed quite close together which made it feel a little squished but very cozy 🤣

- 2x Vegetarian breakfast: One of our eggs was nice and runny, the other was over cooked and not runny at all, the halloumi is good quality not too firm, good potato gratin, baby spinach good, relish good, kūmara chips on top were also nice; overall okay flavour; doesn’t look like much food for money, but will satiate your hunger. 7.5/10 - Regular mocha: Good temperature, sweet foam, a bit too chocolatey. 7/10 - Bowl Flat white: Fun, good temperature, okay bitter foam, nice bean roast. 7/10 The lemons in the water weren’t washed and there was dirt floating in the water. Glasses and pitcher were dirty and had spots all over them. 0/10 No vegetarian croissants, or other pastries; everything that isn’t a cake or macaroons has bacon in it. Near by attendees had ordered not long after us, and waited half an hour for their food, and have not received it. Probably best to come earlier and on an off day. (I feel they need at least one more staff member to be a dedicated waiter) The ceiling was dirty, and the paintings were wonky; the feet of the table made it hard to adjust the chair. Environment 5/10.

Cute little cafe with delish food. Beautiful with the plating and added touch of flowers. Would've liked a bigger piece of bread for the amount of food/chicken there was and perhaps some spices in the chicken crumb would've added that next level of flavour but overall was tasty. They had a caramilk bread and butter type muffin that was super delish in the cabinet food. Will definitely be back.

Excellent service and delicious food on a lovely setting. My turmeric latte was so tasty and so was the buttermilk chicken salad. The salad itself is very tasty and full of lots of different vegetables and very filling. My husband had the omelette which was also very nice, and our friend had lambs fry which was also top notch. I would definitely recommend this place over many other cafes in town. The tight policing of the vaccine pass on entry made me feel very reassured to eat here. We will be back.

This is the best scallop dish we have in NZ. And the grilled beef is juice and good. But we waste more than one and half hour to wait my food, it seems so crazy. Just like other clients said, food is fantastic, but...

This is a Nice Japanese restaurant. And their best dish is sashimi. Rests of them are ok. I had their set serving for one person 46$. This included sashimi (the server wasn’t knowledgeable of the fish except the salmon.) (16$) 4piece of tuna + 3 pieces of another fish and 2 of salmon. The Second dish GESO AGE. was fried squid tentacles and this was nothing to write about. (14$) The last dish was KUSHIAGE. Fried chicken + beef + mushroom skewer (4$) each . Minimum 4 skewers. This ok. Mushroom was prolly the best. Lastly, as I wasn’t even really half full; I had the KIMUCHI PRAWNS. This was ok too. Half dish (13.50$) . Try some other dishes. Dumplings might be good.. Overall 3 for the food. However the serving size were small. Certainly recommended but expensive.

Cosy restaurant but the way tableswere arranged made it look a little crowded. The waiter was informative, friendly and attentive. The food however was average. Beef Tataki was ok, nothing special; Chicken Kimuchi Stir-fry only has a handful of 2cm long chicken pieces in it; Grilled Squid was tender but has no flavour (could be better if its accompanied with a more authentic Japanese sauce rather than mayo); Renkon salad was nice and light, but very small, does not worth $15. Overall, not worth the money.

We read the reviews and followed the advice of booking ahead, very simple via the online booking system. This is a very busy restaurant, and we understand why. We had a fantastic evening with absolutely delicious authentic food, umeshu, and sake. 100% recommend the mochi donut and platters. Friendly attentive service, and a special touch or two added for our occasion. I believe the pricing reflects the quality of what you receive here. We will definitely be dining here again in the future. Thank you for making our evening feel a little extra special.

Amazing food! This is the best food I have had in the whole of New Zealand! The beef tataki is to die for! Everything is cooked to perfection, and every bite is truly amazing! In the past 2 months we have been 5+ times, and I would go every single day if I could! If you get the chance to dine here you won't regret it! I think about this place for weeks after going here!

We went to Haru Japanese Restaurant in Palmerston for Father’s Day and were pleasantly impressed. My partner ordered one of the platters and loved the variety lots of little dishes to try, generous portions, and he left very full and happy. I got the sushi and chicken karaage. I’m quite a fussy eater, but they accommodated me really well, and both dishes were fresh and tasty. My mum and brother shared two of the sizzling plates the chicken could’ve used a bit more flavour, but the beef was beautifully marinated and paired nicely with the rice on the side. My dad had the wafu beef (scotch fillet) and absolutely enjoyed every bite, especially the sauce the steak was served in. Overall, if you’re looking for something different in Palmerston, I’d highly recommend Haru. Great variety, friendly service, and something for everyone!

🍗 Massive portion for the chicken miso katsu! Flavour was authentic and the batter was perfectly crunchy. Served with purple rice and miso soup. Worth $32! 🍮 crème brûlée had the most beautiful glaze on top and custard underneath. Served with green tea icecream! $18 was pricey for the size though. 🍩 mochi donuts were exceptional! Stretchy inside and crispy on the outside - coated with sugar and paired with chocolate/cream on the side. $18 Can definitely see why this is a gem in Palmerston North 😋 so many menu options to select from!

Great experience from entry to exit with the food standing out more than the amazing customer service. had great laughs with staff who initiated conversation with warm and friendly smiles to brighten the atmosphere. Ellie’s recommendation hit the spot for the entire table. Most definitely seek assistance if undecided about the appealing menu which will have you wanting to go back to try what you missed out on. I was really happy with my food & drink. Cooked and presented well! Although, I found it odd why some menu items (I.e steak) were on the printed menu but not on the QR code menu so with my order I had to get up and order at the counter.

Went to Brew Union on Sunday and had the cauliflower bites and fries, absolutely delicious! The cauliflower bites were fresh, hot, and came with a yummy dipping sauce, while the fries were perfectly crispy and so tasty. Love that they offer proper vegan options at a pub, including vegan cheese. The staff were really lovely. They actually made a mistake with our drinks, but were super friendly about it and sorted it straight away, even giving us the corrected drinks on the house, which was kind. The whole place had a great atmosphere. As a vegan, I don’t usually enjoy going to pubs, but Brew Union makes it easy with their menu and their service. Definitely recommend for both the food and the experience!

We chose Brew Union as a spot for dinner before seeing some live music. Turned out to be a great choice. Tried a couple of the local brews and we enjoyed a few smaller plates and a smash burger. Extremely tasty. It was quite busy but our table service was top notch. Very friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.

Ambient atmosphere, decor is cool and you can go in via King St or Broadway Ave. Inclusive menu, the food was awesome. I ordered the Lebonese Salad and they had the option of tofu instead of meat. The only criticisms are there were too many of those hard, crunchy noodles and when I went outside for about 10 minutes got back to find they'd cleared the table so you need to get someone in your group to guard your meal and cocktail :/

Not much to say other than we were super impressed. I’ve never seen pork belly in any menu items from a cafe yet this one did AND IT WAS TO DIE FOR. We got the pork belly benny aswell as the pork belly burger + other things but holy moly it was yum and portions were great. Atmosphere was nice and comfy although I wish the sun was able to reach the store but the opposite buildings r too tall. Service was great.

Dined in at Moxies and it turned out to be one of the better brunch experiences my family and I have had. We ordered the Bad M.F Breakfast, Lamb Buttie, Seafood Chowder, and Waffles, something for everyone, and everything was packed with flavour. The seafood chowder was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the big breakfast nailed the classic done right. The waffles were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside, and the homemade bread in the Lamb Buttie was a standout. The only minor critique would be that the hollandaise had a bit too much vinegar. Overall, a great spot with a diverse menu, generous portions, and nothing over $30 amazing value for the quality. Highly recommend

Everytime I go to Palmy, I always stop at Moxies. The waffles are EXQUISITE! They have a sugary crunch to them and are served over bananas and bacon, leaving you full for the rest of the day! The iced chocolate was also really sweet and creamy. HOWEVER, the black coffee was burning hot and my throat is still stripped of its inner skin.... YEEOUCH!

Frankly the best big breakfast I have ever had and boy have I had a lot. This was just amazing. Everything cooked to perfection and tough I love 90 minutes away I will be back just for this breakfast. Awesome

Quaint place tucked away. Would say the atmosphere is more of a pub style where you'd get together after work for a few drinks and nibbles. One thing to note is that the meals are shared meals, so more like entree sized items that you share. On saying that the quality of the food was really good. There was only one choice for kids. Was a tad cramped for space and rather loud. The service was fantastic and drinks made well.

Nice hearty food cooked well nothing you don't need on it, well seasoned. Very warm and inviting best place I've eaten in Palmy by far!

Consistently amazing food and the service is always great. The atmosphere is casual, more of a pub vibe, so no need to dress up like you’re going to a fancy restaurant. One tip: if you don’t want to hear, or have people hear your private conversations without whispering, request a bar leaner or come with a bigger group so you can be seated out the back where the tables are more spaced out. The three 2 person tables are much too close together, which can feel cramped. Also love that the menu changes often, giving you the chance to try new things every visit.

Great vibe, service, and food. We went here for my mums 70th, it was perfect. We were a group of 4 kids under 12 years old and 8 adults. We had a set menu, which was excellent. Mum was able to switch a few dishes around beforehand, so when we arrived, no decisions had to be made, and we could just relax and enjoy the evening. The bao, prawns, and crispy chicken were excellent. The lamb, green vegetables, and chips were a lot of food. We ended up with quite a bit of takeaway. The staff were excellent! Friendly and efficient. The vibe was great. It's a busy place, really comfortable with casual decor, bar / restaurant vibe, loud yet you could easily hear everyone at your own table. I can highly recommend this place!

The food was absolutely beautiful! Pork buns were delicious!!! Definitely recommend the sticky date pudding for dessert, the nicest dessert I have ever had at a restaurant. Staff were so welcoming and nice. Can’t wait to come again.

Our first time dining at The Fat Farmer as a group of 5. The service and food was amazing. The concept is all meals are a sharing platter, a nice way to enjoy food and talk amongst friends and family. We ordered the Southern Fried Chicken w Kimchi and mayo, this was so delicious and juicy. Also the Chicken Bao Buns were delicious as well but more meat would take it next level. The Watermelon Salad I didn’t think I would be a fan of, was actually divine, so nice and fresh and all the ingredients went amazing together. One of the best salads I have ever had and definitely the best restaurant salad I have tried. Then our groups most favourite dish, the Angus Beef Steak. The flavours, the textures, this was absolutely divine and we are all still talking about it! Will 100% be coming back and dining at The Fat Farmer

The laksa is flavorful and generous in portion - I ordered their roast duck Laksa and was happy with how much protein and soup I received. The duck was cooked well, and the noodles were fresh and the right texture. The Tom yum fried rice is packed with flavour and is a must order.

A great place for Thai food at a resonable price in the middle of Palmerston North . They have special a well priced lunch menu . Plenty of seating and friendly helpful staff.. I love their thick banana milkshakes.

We went here last week and ordered alot of food, surprisingly the food came within 5 minutes which was really odd, taste was average! Some dishes seemed to be microwaved, ambience is good though! Not the greatest experience but also not the absolute worst.

I have mixed thoughts . Firstly the service is very good . There is a guy there who is very attentive and very friendly and what every restaurant needs. He is a bit forgetful but nothing that can’t be forgiven . The food is really the main thing here . The pork is just so so dry , and chewy . It needs less time .. the portions also need addressing , a little bit on the smaller side for entrees to price ratio . I really want to come back because the guy is so sweet but … the price of food ..

From the FOH staff to the food to the vibe, we loved this place! They have a photo menu available, which is helpful for language needs or people who want visual inspiration. The photos led us to order an extra dish and it was worth it. Try the fried rice in a pineapple.

The place is always busy, service is lovely (especially a guy, I can't remember his name but he chatted to us, gave us recommendations and made sure we had a good time) and the food is good. Big portions and tasty food that comes out quicker than some fast food restaurants I've been too! I love their fried rice and crispy pork. I've been here on multiple dinner dates with friends and it never disappoints. Only criticism is it gets a little loud at points but that's just because it's very busy. Also take note that you have to go to the counter to order. They don't come to you

Our first time and will be the last: Non- existent service and still terrible at it. No greetings, no smile, just staffs in the counter staring, poker face. Too bad for a first time. The rule is you need to order from the counter, get your own water and wait for your food on the table. The roti is fine but the satay sauce is too bland. The Rice with Omelette is quite good but can do better so with the Beef Penang.

Dropped in here with a few friends and family on Christmas Eve, and as we’d already had a large hotel breakfast, the rest of the table enjoyed an array of food that looked appealing, and met their approval. The coffees were well made, and the service was very warm and friendly. I couldn’t resist a large date and orange scone, which when heated and topped with butter, was bloody awesome! Great job team and keep up the good work!

I’ll certainly be going back and find myself in the area again if the serving staff is change the way they respond to customer questions rather than balantly saying no for everything - amazing looking vegan menu, however when we asked the dishes half of them were unavailable. Bit disappointed with that. The girl who took our order was wonderful and friendly as well. The person who served us was very rude to us. The smoothie was bitter in taste. The entire experience was not very happy! Such a delight to find this place! We drove into Palmerston North and I’m thrilled that I did some research on vegan food in Palmerston North before we arrived. We went for brunch. This cafe needs to realise allergies people come to the place for good food and customer service. The front counter staff was very helpful however the service staff was giving no answer to any questions we have asked found to be very rude. I hope management team will look into it.

Sweet little cafe with 2 amazing staff, the guy who was making the coffees was hilarious and the lady mostly doing tills was wonderful too, they made the experience great. This place also has some interesting coffees and drinks that you wouldn't find many other places like a dirty ginger latte which I had, it was surprisingly gingery- genuine stuff not just a syrup it tasted like. My friends first time having coffee and she loved it. 10/10 recommend

So many tasty vegan (and non-vegan) options! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Coffee was delicious (and I really appreciated that the different alternative milks had different costs instead of making them all the same!) Really appreciated the progressive vibe! Such a relaxing atmosphere, with great music playing, interesting magazines to thumb through, and cool art to gaze at while you eat/drink. The little area the cafe is located in is super cool too, tucked away near the center for sustainable living and an art gallery. Highly recommend this place!! You can also find free 120 min parking on Linton Street :)

I know this is a really low rating. If I would have gone there only a few times it would have been a lot higher but I kept getting served really unpleasant hot drinks and it kindve ruined the place for me. Their foods nice and where its situated is stunning though. In the middle of the square edge art gallery. But unfortunately the drinks were always a little hit and miss and after a while all they were doing was missing. As an example I had a turmeric latte and I had to chuck it away as I couldn't finish it, was over powering and not mixed well, clumpy. Yeah no thankyou. Sorry cafe royale.

We arrived at 3 & even tho the kitchen was closed, as they close at 4pm the food in the display was still available, I had a delicious Curry bean & spinach filo pastry, with a avocado matcha smoothie, my sister had a zucchini, kumara & cheese quiche, with a coconut mango smoothie, & we shared a small salad, it was quick service & the server was very friendly & welcoming, there was no rush for us to leave either, & we took our time. I would try it again, & recommend it

Disclaimer: my party of 3 dined here at half price via First Table on the 21st of January. It is with great sadness that I have to report that the food at Dejeuner was quite the disappointment. Let's start with the positives. Firstly, our server was absolutely amazing. She was attentive to our needs, asking if we needed any extra dishes or cutlery throughout the meal. She also made sure to check in on us to ask how our dining experience was. When we brought up any issues, she said that she would inform the chef. This was easily the best part of our time there. For starters, our group got the French onion soup, seafood chowder and chicken Caesar salad to share. This was a fantastic way to start our dinner, as everything was flavourful and well presented. Following this were our mains of venison, lamb and fish. The venison and lamb were cooked to a perfect temperature, being very tender and juicy. For dessert, the ice cream components of our panna cotta, chocolate fondant and sundae were the best parts. Unfortunately, this where I have to move on to the rather disheartening aspects of the meal, beginning with the serving sizes. I was under no impression that the dishes here would be large by any means, but the mere slivers of venison on the plate was borderline insulting, not to mention the sad smear of mash. The lamb rack was also on the small side. The market fish would have been great, if not for the burnt skin leaving a bitter aftertaste throughout. None of those would qualify the nearly $40 price tags. Our desserts ranged from being acceptable to painfully mediocre, the worst of which was the panna cotta. It came coated with a mango sauce, which was thankfully able to cover up the strangely bitter pudding. In the end, I cannot recommend Dejeuner in good faith. For every good flavour it offers, there is a disappointment that follows. The price point would not even be an issue if everything were to be held to a high standard. To end on a high note, I want to emphasize the fantastic service again. Whoever was serving on this Sunday, give her a raise.

Excellent food and service. Great place to have a special meal out. One point for improvement for restaurant and for customers, the duck fat potatoes were not crispy, quite soft, and tasted like any other wedges.

Eating on my own as travelling for work, so looking for tasty food and reasonable pricing, and an atmosphere where it doesn’t feel awkward being a sole diner. I had been here some time ago, enjoyed it very much and this time was certainly well satisfied on all counts. Only had a main, pork belly, plus side of veges. Serving size was really generous - I liked the sound of the mussels entree but would never have fitted that in as well! Very tasty - I enjoy sampling pork belly on my travels and this was excellent.

This was disappointing. Overall this is not fine dinning and neither is food that quality. We paid 175$ for 2 persons. We had ribs and fillet Mignon plus 2 drinks and a dessert plus coffee. Not worth the value. The taste was just ok. The potato stack felt like hand grated and not sized properly. The veges were slightly hard.. You can have much better food for this value at other places.. try some place..

We went to Déjeuner for dinner and I had the filet mignon—it was delicious! I loved the overall experience.

Dined in here for dinner tonight, and ordered a full course meal. Every course was delightful, and perfectly to my taste. My fillet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare all throughout, and the plating for each meal was exquisite. I highly recommend this restaurant for those that are looking for a meal that will leave them satisfied and in high spirits.

Neat looking place, food looks high quality and flashy but i was quite surprised when i bit into the cinnamon scroll it was stale and very dry might of been sitting in the cabinet for a few days it was uneatable as the tastes like the air of the cabinet, the tiramisu cream was good but the sponge part was slightly crisp from the air drying out the sponge part I'm guessing this too was sitting for a while. pies and some other stuff need to be heated not fresh be great if there were hot fresh pie's not cold ones - otherwise place looks very nice.

Service staff is a nightmare. The staff looks pissed and dont want to serve you. The lady who served me was rude. She did not have a service mind at all. Moreover, she keeps forgetting the order and went back to the kitchen for a chit chat while chewing some brownie. This place used to be amazing. We are sad to see the net set of staff could not maintain the quality. This is not you guys I would love to see you shine again. You can do better Alexandre!

I LOVED IT. It reminded me of the coffee shops I went in Europe. The aromas when you walk in, the food options. The french names. So adorable in terms of decor and delicious food. I was so happy, the workwrs are so friendly and nice it's impossible to go wrong! I highly recommend and will definitely go in the future. The prices are good and they have special deals that are pretty amazing!

I love this bakery so much! The place is aesthetic and classy. So many great and mouthwatering selections to choose and it’ll be never enough to only pick one! The blackberry macaron was so good. I really like the au pain raisins and almond croissant. Coffee was great too. It would be more lovely if they don’t charge additional cost for contactless payments. Staff are friendly and always greet you with bonjour and merci!

This is a great little French café down Coleman Mall, with exceptional desserts, macarons and an all round delicious menu. Top tip, try the peppermint hot chocolate, it's perfect on a chilly winter's day!

A thriving little cafe, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a strong lunch rush and plenty of regulars. Converted house is full of character. Pretty standard cafe prices. No background music would appeal to those who don't like the noisy cafe atmosphere. Near parking looks limited but at least is free.

Absolutely overpriced and under delivered. For a botique little cafe hidden in the suburbs they have lost the plot on prices and the quality is way below standard. They will have to sharpen their pencil, perhaps even replace it before we return. Very disappointed to have had this experience. 20 bucks for a eggs benedict is very pricey. The sauce was probably the best part of the dish. No butter on toast, bacon nearly undercooked. As for the "grand pan" ($24.50) that came out when my partner's eggs bennie was nearly finished, veggies was burnt, poached eggs still watery which made the mushrooms and toast soggy underneath and sausage cut in half overcooked. The people next to us sent their croissant back as it was bone dry....the worst cafe experience in Palmy

My daughter specifically requested dining here for her birthday. Pricing calculator is available on their website so you don't get any nasty surprises and prices are scaled for children by age. I suggest you book ahead of time, especially for large groups. The restaurant can be a little loud. Meals are all you can eat and water is provided, but other drinks are extra. If you have not eaten at this style of buffet before, you queue to fill a bowl at the buffet, with meat and vegetables and your choice of flavoured oils, sauces and condiments, and these are griddle cooked while you wait and handed to you on a plate for you to return to your table. This allows you to select only the delicious things you want to eat in a stirfry style, and you can keep going back to try different flavours. Service staff were efficient at removing used plates and always asked politely before doing so. There are a range of sides and nibbles (great for fussy kids who only want nibbles and nuggets), and some soups with optional rolls and butter. I found the chicken & mushroom soup really tasty. The dessert bar has limited options, which are mostly ice cream with various toppings, but there is always the option of pancakes. If you have 3 adults dining at full cost, it's $1 on birthdays. Check their website for full pricing and conditions.

Very few deserts and food overall.. i was expecting at least a decent amount of options but all you get for desert is pancakes with 3 options of topping to choose from and icecream… everything else was very basic. Not worth $40. Save your money!!!

Superb food -great for kids, especially fussy eaters as they get to choose from a great selection. Starters mains and puddings included. Food is all fresh. And graded pricing scale is perfect when you have kids. Will be back again next time in palmy.

Always loved it here but after having to go gluten free for health reasons I was worried I wouldn’t be able eat here anymore, but they list all the allergens on all the food labels and will cook your meal separately in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Very impressed

We had a wonderful dinner last night. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Every dish was so good that we kept going until we couldn’t eat another bite. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be returning.

Absolutely gross. My chicken was raw. I got the butter chicken and I had a piece of chicken and it was rubbery and bright pink. Reading the reviewed this is a very common and concerning reoccurrence. Another piece looked like it had barely touched the surface of any stove. It has only been 10 minutes since eating and I have sat there shock worrying if I'm going to get food poisoning. It's a health risk, please don't get your butter chicken or anything chicken related from here.

Service is excellent but the food was sweet taste not like normal Indian cuisine, they told me in new Zealand they like the food to be sweet because of thatbthey add sugar to the original recipe.

Higher price point than competitors' for similar quality fast food. The dining area needed more attention to details with cleaning. However, this is arguably normal for this style of fast food place. The quality of food has degraded since first opening in Palmerston north. Drive thru available, plenty of parking, limited seated areas inside. Drink refill station available with free refills.

Horrible customer service. The server needs a refresher training course on how to serve their customer - she literally dropped our tray on the table right in front of our face. 🙄 The food was okay but the atmosphere of the place is a little too cold for our liking.

Marvelous burgers! Forget McDonald's, forget Burger King. This is the place for you! You can get any type of burger here. Even the chips are great! They also give you little holders so the burger doesn't go anywhere except in your mouth! The atmosphere is bright and happy, and the staff are all happy to get you anything you want. First time having Carl junior and I must say what a total disappointment. We got our food home the chips where cold and soggy, we are literally only 5mins away, the order was wrong, the burger was also cold and tasteless and my partner has got a really bad tummy ache and doesn't feel well after eating his food. Neither one of us even finished any of the food. I don't understand what all the hype has been about to be honest. We will never go back.

Busy little cafe as it's just across the road from the hospital. Staff were friendly. They did have some difficulty understanding our order but got there in the end. Hot chocolate was delicious. Food was a little slow to arrive but to be expected for such a busy location. When it did arrive it was well made and tasty. Worth a visit but keep in mind if you have a tight time-frame this might not be the place for you.

We absolutely love Boho Cafe! Every time we visit Palmerston, we make sure to stop by. They’re so welcoming to our fur baby, so we can bring her inside and enjoy a meal together. The food is delicious, and the coffee is strong and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the toilets are very clean.🩵

I recently visited and had the coffee and sausage roll, which was priced at $23. While I was told the sausage roll was gluten-free, I found it to be rather average. The pastry, in particular, was a bit tough at the bottom, which was disappointing. For $16.50, I’m not sure the value is quite there. The sausage roll came with a small side of sweet potato chips (about four pieces), a little salad, and some jam marmalade. It felt like a lot to pay for what was a rather basic meal. Overall, not the most satisfying experience for the price.

Atmosphere was amazing super friendly and service the same fast and with a smile. Very clean and tidy place only downside chicken was very dry and food forgettable with no real flavor or seasoning. Chips where very plain and the snickers milkshake weakly flavored

This was a first visit to this Cafe for me but also for my grandson who lives local to the cafe? Breakfast was okay. I think my grandson would have seriously considered coming back and bringing friends. However the turn off was a senior staff member who asked us to move from an unreserved table. We checked first. The front of house staff were excellent and my review would have been so different but for the behaviour of the one staff member. She even started cleaning the table while we were still seated!!!!

Great service. They were able to cater to our 12-pers group even though it was last minute booking. They made arrangements and the food was served pretty quickly and were very good and filling.

Today, we ordered a few meals. I had the bacon and egg panini. Now firstly, the bacon and egg panini also had cheese. I don't eat cheese and this was an issue. Other food items on their label said they contained cheese, but this one didn't. Anyways, the bacon in the panini was rubbery, dry, and hard, and the egg tasted funny. Food was warmed. We also ordered a toasted sandwich with a scone, it wasn't that special, and was actually quite bland. Service was really bad, couldn't understand what the person taking our order was saying as their voice was too quiet. Atmosphere was okay, but was still bland.

Absolutely the best value and tasty, well executed half big breakfast in Palmerston North. Good coffee and impressed with the cleanliness and very friendly staff. My go to lunch place.

The best nan bread I have is from here! A hidden treasure really, as the shop is so invisible and hidden away with no signs pointing towards its direction. Perhaps it’s a family business, and they may have a small team so don’t want to get too busy? Regardless, the food is nice and I am satisfied. The waitresses there were very polite, lovely and respectful. Hard to not give her a tip!

My second visit here. The first time it was with a group and we had a preselected range of dishes. I could not fault it. The second time also with a group and we selected individual courses. Having just been to another Indian restaurant in Auckland a few days prior it was good to compare as I had the same dish. My dish Mango chicken unfortunately did not match my previous experience. Although it had a good mango flavour I found it too sweet for a main course. It also failed in quantity as the amount of actual chicken was sparse. It was more like a soup dish. Thank heaven for the rice to soak it up. My guest enjoyed her dish but found it a small serving compared to our previous experience. Both dishes were more expensive than our Auckland meal. The nan bread though was very nice. The service was very friendly from this family owned restaurant and could not be faulted. As for drinks it’s BYO but I had a alcohol free beer which I was told came from the Middle East ....... avoid!

We really enjoyed our meal at Indian Love Story. A more quiet atmosphere, i like to be able to hear thr conversation. Food was lovely. A big choice of vegetarian dishes, which I enjoyed. Service was so personable and exceptional. We will definitely return.

One of the worst café experiences I’ve had. First off, the chips were a complete rip-off at $17–$18. They were dry, floury, and bland—no seasoning, no effort, and not even a dipping sauce, which should be standard at that price point. It felt like they just threw frozen fries in an oven and called it a day. My partner’s frappé was even worse. The glass it came in had baked-on grime both inside and outside—honestly disgusting. You could see the residue from the previous drink, and it clearly contaminated the new one. How hard is it to wash a cup properly? To top it off, the tables were filthy. No one came around to wipe them down after customers left. We had to clear our own space just to sit. It was honestly gross. Between the overpriced, poorly prepared food, the dirty drinks, and the lack of cleanliness, I don’t see any reason to go back. Columbus Coffee seriously needs to lift its game.

Phenomenal brunch! Wow I saw the prices yesterday and honestly walked away. Today I thought I’d give it a try. So glad I did. Yes expensive but unfortunately i’m aware the rent of having a shop in the plaza is astronomical. Mocha was nice maybe a little too sweet but hot and delicious. Food great 👍🏻 they loaded the bacon up which was great 😊. If I wasn’t moving away I’d be back for sure.

Busy location in the mall which can be distracting, however convenient location for those shopping breaks. Coffee was OK, however high price, plus you will be paying extra for plant based milks, which again is higher than other cafes. Variety of food options available and plenty of table seating options.

Good service. The food came out fast but it became clear why. We were after a hot breakfast so got a combo of our favs. Mince and cheese savoury, pancakes and eggs on toast. Disappointed to say the least. The savoury was microwaved, the pancakes were cold and the toast with eggs was barely warm.

Not sure why, but it takes an inordinate amount of time to prepare a toasted sandwich. Finished coffees and side of fries and had to chase up toasted sandwich. Once could be excused but not twice on separate occasions.

Nice cafe. On a mall so it inlu has so much 'atmosphere'. Make sure you make clear what it is you want from the cafe and ensure that you aren't inadvertantly upsold any extras.

I just went there for breakfast and had the Potato and Chorizo. Frankly the $24.95 I paid for it was $24.95 too much. The potatoes were microwaved and the spinach was tasteless.. there was some sort of tomato relish thrown on there and god knows what the big clump of paprika was meant to do. I would value this at about $3.95 and that’s been generous.

Great ambience. Was a bit put off kilter as the menu on their google listing wasn't accurate - we arrived at the store expecting to spend a certain amount but ended up spending way more... and not feeling as filled up. Had to go elsewhere for snacks. They also charged me extra for ordering no toppings for the bubble tea... never had that happen before elsewhere. Maybe that was a mistake? CHicken karaage was really nice but on the expensive side. We also had the crispy pork on bok choi... too our surprise, it was quite hard to eat. DIdin't finish the meal. In summary, if you've got deep pockets, come here for the great ambience. Not sure this is a family-friendly place due to the price point.

We’ve eaten here over a hundred times in the past four years. The past four times have left a LOT to be desired. Wrong orders, not having cutlery, size of meals change, everything is an inconvenience to staff now, meal sizes have changed significantly and the quality has dropped. The value we saw in this place is no longer there, and I can’t bring friends to what used to be a reliable regular for us. Especially when there are 7 other similar restaurants in the same vicinity. Such a shame, because this used to be great.

Great place to have a meal or a bubble tea on the go. I usually get the chicken katsu with rice & a matcha green tea with coconut jelly. Place was clean & tidy, team on were friendly and helpful. My favourite worker there is the alternative girl but they are all very nice. Food came out quick and fresh.

We ordered a bunch of different plates to share, including chicken katsu, the crispy pork, fried rice and dumplings. Everything was delicious. The staff are friendly, and its got a great atmosphere. Fantastic- will be back!

I ordered Indian-style pizzas from Domino’s, Terrace end palmerston north branch. but the pizzas were extremely disappointing. They didn’t look or taste good at all — the sauces were poured so badly that it looked like someone had just squeezed the whole bottle on top. We called the store politely to let them know about the issue, but instead of listening or helping, the staff spoke very rudely. Very unprofessional behavior and a really bad experience overall. Totally not expected from Domino’s. No hygiene at all.

Very poor customer service today. My pizza wasn't delivered so I called the store up and the guy hung up on me so I called a second time and he refused to redeliver my pizza he told me to reorder online and pre pay with my card but I don't understand why they refused to redeliver my pizza if he gave me that option anyways. He was so rude. Pioneer Domino's would've redelivered with no hesitation. Me and my husband had a long day from both of us working and looking after our baby we just wanted to relax and enjoy a warm meal. 1 star for 2 very disappointed customers and empty bellies. Terrence end dominos employees are probably enjoying my pizza for free right now.

Very disappointing. I used to love going there but this was the last time. Toppings were minimal, only half my pizza covered in sauce. Not lying when we say it tasted like the supermarket pizza with a little extra. Garlic bread was nice though and lovely service.

First time visiting this store because I had a really bad experience at there other store. Well the experience was way better but still was terrible. I was going to eat in but every single table was filthy so took my burger & shake home to eat. I get it that stores have staffing problems but there were 1 x couple dining in & myself in the store. The upstairs dining area was closed so everything was contained to the small downstairs dining area so absolutely no excuses it was just run by staff who weren't doing a good enough job that you would expect especially since I'd had an even worse experience at there other store.

Thought I'd come get a quick meal and eat in since it's recent refurbishment completion last week. Drink area was disgusting. All tables needed a wipe down. Decided to leave and eat away.

I sat at the only clean-ish table waiting for my partner to go to the bathroom. Just from sitting there I decided we weren't going to eat there. There was Rubbish all over the floor and everything was sticky. There were screaming children but that's not BKs fault. No surprises my partner said the bathroom was just as bad with toilet paper all over the floor. Only came here because I wanted to sit upstairs but it was blocked off. Never coming back.

Popped in and got roasts. The service was very welcoming. There was only one person dining. Area was tidy, although the seats and tables were sticky. The crackling was overly salty. All of the roasts tasted like old frozen meat. Vege was average. The nicest thing was the fries. Every year we go in to see if it's gotten better but sadly still disappointing so will not be returning.

We have come here a few times. Always delicious and really good portions. Have dined in or takeaway and both had leftovers for the next day. Clean tidy and a spot to sit down. Roast pork with extra crackle is our go to. Always parking outside and the staff are very friendly.

Good place to eat not to big so is nice, I got a large pork roast, it was very nice and the pork was nice and tender, but the pork could of done with more crackle put in because I love crackle, and it's had lots of vegetables, it come with potatoes, pumpkin, kumara, carrots, peas, and apple sauce and gravy, the large pork roast could feed 2 people, and it only cost $24.90 for large, so I think that good value, and they also have lamb, beef, chicken, corn beef, they also have good prices on heaps of other food items, and very friendly fast service, I would recommend place to anyone who likes nice food and a good roast like you would cook at home 😊

Family got takeaways as our favorite Sunday roast shop was closed. Never again - $55 and everything inedible. Lamb in the sandwiches was hard like days old, crackling was disgusting and the roast potato was average, gravy was far too salty. Last visited you when it first opened and it was disgusting then.

I always came here after work every Friday for their pork roast. However I have stopped coming here because they have done something to the pork. It almost tastes like it’s been put in brine whether it’s to prolong the life of the pork or try something different…. It’s salty and tastes exactly like bacon bones. Very disappointed

Don't buy chicken wings which weren't cheap. I chose these this time instead of the fish which has lately been overcooked and tough. I bought the chicken wings to have something different which is offered on their menu and also some wontons. When I got it it seemed that someone had opened the bag and poured salt in to the bag and everything was salty and all well overcooked being very dry. It was absolutely disgusting.Time for you Annie's to look at how you cook things as customers will leave you. We visit regularly and seen that your food offering is getting worse.

Annie's takeaways is a favourite among the locals. Their prices are pretty affordable. Phone orders are probably reccomended as it can get pretty busy. Our favourite is the fish bites and a scoop of chips, pretty good quality. There are quite a big variety of items on the menu including Chinese and a dish yourself section. A Coke fridge with a good variety of cold drinks is also available. Palmy sure has a good shops and this is one of them.

Lovely bright and clean looking shop. Friendly, professional and efficient staff. Swift service. Placed a phone order and was told it would be ready in 10mins and it was! Walked straight into shop, used the covid19 app. to check in joined a que behind 2 others and didn’t have to wait long. Food was hot, delicious and cooked beautifully! And generous size pieces of fish and portions of chips as well! Chips a little soggy but reminded me of classic kiwi fish n’ chips as a child, so definitely not a deal breaker! Do not buy!!! $21 for the worst kabab. Now I'm thinking about it, I was ripped off too. $16 for medium mix $1 for satay sauce, $1 for aioli and a $1 for cheese. That's $19, i was charged $21.30........ This is the only kebab shop I have been to where they charge $1 for the good sauces (I respect the hustle but a pain) like aioli and satay. Got changed extra for cheese I didn't want too. Then there's the size of the kabab! I ordered the medium as the medium from every other kabab shop are a good size (I eat kababs a lot) but not this place. hardly any filling like lettuce, carrot or meat but heaps of old tasting cheese. There are so many better food places to get kababs in pamy and feilding and this place is not it at all. Over priced, to small and didn't taste good at all. I honestly can't believe he ripped me off!!!

How this place has gone downhill. The excellent review below (2022) was when the senior man was doing the cooking. This week we went in for kebabs, and he was not there. There were 2 younger men. The service was quite slow, but the major problem was that the kebab was tasteless and the chicken was tough as leather. Not recommended until the older man is back in charge. 2022 - Delicious kebabs. Tasty well cooked chicken and lots of crunchy fresh veges with delicious sauces. The food here is consistently excellent. Staff are very helpful, service is very good. Very highly recommended.

I am writing this as I am a returning regular that is endlessly delighted every time. I always get the falafel kebab, that caters to my vegetarian needs. As well as the more than reasonable price It is quick, refreshing and hits the spot each time. (And again please note that I am a regular). The food here is both amazing and affordable; a rare combination nowadays. The chips are the perfect crispiness and delicious, just like everything else they have! The Chicken burger's my go to - they are the most flavourful and amazing burgers you'll ever have!! I highly recommend getting it if you're ever unsure about what to get. I bet all of the bad reviews are just jealous shop owners, no shop will ever be able to top this one, it's just unbeatable!! 5 stars is the only possible review. The people, atmosphere, food, prices, wait time, absolutely everything is amazing here.

Affordable, delicious and quick meals with plenty of flavour! Chips are always cooked golden and crispy, and Chinese meals are tasty and authentic. The best burger has to be the Chicken burger - I've gotten them plenty of times and over the last few years, and they have always been crispy, tender, and NEVER undercooked. They are the most popular burgers for a reason, and they do a 2 for $9 deal for them. Any bad Google reviews you see on this place are pure lies, slander, and racist. As a local I can say that Manawatu Street Takeaways is definitely 5-star worthy in every aspect. Fast, affordable, great customer service, eager owners who always get the job done, and totally worth it.

I live the food quality and I’m amazed at how quickly meals come out everytime! Meals are tasty and authentic!! Don’t believe what the haters say, but PLEASE JUST GO AND TRY!!!

If I could I would leave -5 stars this place was so bad, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Fir starters soggy chips and raw burger with moldy buns. I even saw a rat run out from the pile of boxes.

Decent selection and nice atmosphere with plentiful seating. Unfortunately they have some empty shop fronts and at times have one or two staff manning multiple food stores making the place feel quite vacant. If they could find a couple of food hits to fill the empty spaces they might be able to flourish again.

I love this little eatery. Italian pizza/pasta, Indian, Mexican, Burgers and Ice Cream plus coffee ☕ premises are always clean and well kept, no long lines and lots of seating. The staff here are also always lovely and nice to deal with.

The decor/lighting/furniture is strangely successful at creating an outdoor/evening street feel. Occasional live music, and good variety of ethnic food. I prefer this over the city's other food court because it feels quieter, less suitable for kids and less mass-produced/commercial.

I don't know why, but only one place opens past mid afternoon. For some weird reason, all but one store is closed for dinner time. There's also no place to buy drinks. So if you eat there, you're forced to buy the overpriced drinks with the food. Have tried three different places. Food is below average. Certainly not worth the cost.

Food gr8 atmosphere gr8v service good but communication between the two staff was awful. Left half a cup of coffee my magazine and part off a cake on table and told counter person was going to ladies room. Lost my cake coffee and magazine as taken by a worker who was clearing tables. Not about to go back in a hurry to this place

Awesome new eatery in palmerston north. Huge high quality selection of different cuisines. Big plus for Munch making a entire cafe gluten free

Utterly useless. Weighed absolutely everything in prep which made our meal take way longer. Mexi-as the place was called. One person serving. Slow as a wet chook. Completely understaffed. Pity I have to give one star... otherwise it would be zero. Also made me miss the meeting. Idiots. My advice to improve: shut down
