Very good seafood dishes (I really reccomend the fish with the citrus sause and parfait di mandlore for the dessert). The servise was also very nice.

Menu looks nice. But level of quality of dishes vs. preferable by me "Al Faro Trattoria" (distance is 500m) as like 3/5. Good service don't have a chance to covering kitchen quality.

Went there mid March, so low season, but I didn't expect that the fish would be that bad. It was fresh, I assume, but poorly grilled and with all the bowels still inside. Sick the whole evening and day after, definitely wouldn't recommend unless they learn how to grill a fish even during low touristic season.

One of my most favorite meals in Sicily. The view is outstanding, they were very attentive and the food was amazing. I chose my fish from the daily catch, they weighed it then cooked it up. It was lovely!

The place is a must. It should be cumpulsury eating here. I'm Italian but I live abroad since many years. I come to Italy for my holidays, and this is my first time in Sciacca. Well ristorante Porto San Paolo Is Just the place. It's in the port, just in front of the fishing boats. So they get to chose the fish as first, even before the market people. You walk up some steep steps and arrive to a covered terrace, that looks at the port. Classical Sicilian ambient, so no zen, no lounge. Rather a proper port restaurant, with very little tourists, mainly locals that now, for lunch, come from their offices. So no posh. But by far the best fish you can get in Sicily though. By far really And that's because all fish in Italy goes straight from the ships to Milan's fish market, and then gets redistributed. The Sciacca area is where the Italian most important fishing fleet stays. So here they fish the best we have in the Mediterranean, and in the morning when the ships come back in, big trucks come and take the fish directly to Milan market. The only person that intercepts that fish first, is the chef of this restaurant. So...🥳😉 The Christine con le alici di Sciacca Is something you must try before you fly back. Same for the blu shrimps. Think of me when you are eating, your gratitude and blessings will surely make my life better 😉❤️

We stayed in the Sciacca area for vacation recently and our hotel butler advised us that Porto San Paola was a great spot nearby that many locals would eat at for a consistently good dining and servicing experience. They made us a reservation same day for dinner and we arrived promptly at our dining time and were seated immediately at a table overlooking the water and city. The views are purely stunning for sunset! The servers were all so nice and I believe it's a small family owned establishment, and I think the owners were also waiting on us at some point during the meal. All of the restaurant employees were so nice, welcoming, and offered to answer any questions we had on the menu. We started with a bottle of white wine and it was amazing! I think most wines of their menu were less than 25 euros a bottle. They also provided us with a basket of bread to start complimentary as well. We started with Panelle to start as an appetizer (little chickpea fritters, they were amazing! 5 euros for I believe they were 5 fritters). We also ordered the Busiate alla Norma (13 euros, this was the best and freshest pasta you could imagine, truly amazing and they split it for us in the kitchen and was plenty big for two people to share). For entrees, we both ordered the Filetto di pesce fresco (fresh fish filet, 20 euros), and included a few small vegetables as well. We also ended with a Canolli for desert, and OMG it was the best cannoli I've ever had. I believe it was 3 euros and the flavor was out of this world. We split the cannoli in two, but I think I could have eaten two of them just myself! I really felt like we were eating in a Michelin starred restaurant, the food quality and preparation were amazing, along with the service was very white glove as well. If you're in the Sciacca area, definitely give them a try!

The view is really good, but not super impressed with the food compared with the price. I complained about some issues with the juice. They just wiped it of and said it was suger - but then gave me a new one (BUT they ended up charging me 3€ for it).

Wow, absolutely amazing. Great view, great staff, and the food is perfect. Had the fritti platter, and some of the best calamari I've ever had. Also had the pesche al sale. It was a branzino. Definitely all the best seafood I've had ever. The ownership is a husband and wife, and their daughter, and they are all extremely nice and welcoming. The view of the med and harbor is beautiful, and an amazing sunset as well. Highly highly recommend.

Service was really poor. We had to remind the waiters multiple times of what we had ordered and they were annoyed when we did. We asked 3 seperate waiters for the bill and ended up going to the counter where we had to bank transfer (very dodgy) and they were quite rude and impatient. The food was average and portion sizes were tiny with an extortionate price tag. Only redeeming quality was the view of the harbour which was beautiful at sunset. We paid £50 for two plates of basic tomato pasta.

We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, I would describe the cuisine a modern Italian (Sicilian) fusion. The limone dessert was outstanding.

Excellent food, in a great experience. Chef Gianni Morreale provided us a wonderful dinner. I am a bread lover, and there it is a must, even the bread!!!

However, the location leaves something to be desired. Situated on a busy road leading to the port, the ambiance is disrupted by the constant bustle, and accessing the restaurant requires taking an elevator, which might be inconvenient for some. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience remains positive, making it a good choice for those seeking refined cuisine and are less concerned about the setting.

Very good food with fresh ingredients. Super close to the harbor with a nice view but unfortunately it’s right above one of the main streets and this ruins a bit the atmosphere if there is traffic

Nice view over the harbour and parking close by, steps to old town right next door. Probably for me best in Sciacca.

Poetry for the soul and the palate. Never tasted something like Mazara’s shrimps, it’s an indescribable experience. If you’re visiting Sciacca this one is a must.

I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of my mother who had visited 34 years ago!! I got the daily set lunch menu ($50 euros) and it was absolutely delicious! The octopus starter blew my mind - i have never had such tender and delicate octopus and the smoky flavor and smooth bean cream suited it perfectly. I also really enjoyed the roll crepe with semifreddo and zucchini jam a Sciaccan speciality. Light, sweet, with a lovely mix of textures and flavors!! The service was very friendly and professional and I felt very welcomed and comfortable despite the fine dining atmosphere. I loved getting to meet the waiter and owner and hope to come back before another 34 years passes! :)

Excellent food, very quiet when we arrived for lunch post-COVID. The raw fish starter was phenomenal and so fresh. The risotto was perfectly balanced. And the steamed fish was so fresh and floral and interestingly flavored.

We were there for lunch. The food was good, we had Fuseloni with pesto after a mixed salad and Paccheri followed by beef fillet. Accompanied by water and two glasses if wine. We paid 114€, so it is quite expensive!

We needed dinner on our first Sunday in Sicily. All the places we knew in Sciacca were closed but we found the Art Deco cafe open. The welcome was not as friendly as normal and the service a little offhand, but the food when it arrived was very good indeed.

I recently dined at Hosteria del Vicolo and as always, the food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. Over time, we've become regulars, visiting at least once a month, and each experience continues to impress. The quality of the dishes never disappoints, and the staff is always attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience!

Absolutely fantastic, Sicilian faire. Beautiful linens and fantastic service. The bacon octopus anti pasti was sublime and the monk fish medallions were magnificent. One must have the amazing Sicilian bread and young Olive oil. Highly recommended.

Food took literally hours to come out, even though there are only 7 tables. The food was average at best, cramped space and too uncomfortable for families beyond a party of 3.

Excellent & homey sicilian food for a truly local journey for your tastebuds. The food was fresh and the pasta was delicious (we had the linguine nero di sepia & paccheri casa rosa - yum!😋). Don’t miss the Degustazione Marinara, which was an seafood antipasti collection - all excellent. The service for lunch was efficient and friendly, but don’t expect a Michelin star treatment or modern and creative twists, this is as homey and delicious as it gets!

This is a small restaurant with beautiful fresh seafood from the area . Reservations is recommended in the peak season we had to wait but it was worth it . The food is presented with beautifully .

One of the best experiences in Sicily, and we had several great meals during our vacation. Typical Sicilian dishes, surprised me, that it is not one of SlowFood restaurants. Try especially the mixed seafood antipasti

Super tasty sauces. Raw pasta. Long wait between dishes. Somewhere around 45 min. Entire lunch experience lasted over 3 hours, and not in a good way. One waitress who runs around alone. Bill at end was handwritten without itemiszation. Koperto, yikes..

Very sweet place with good food, charming service, and all for next to nothing.

For the last days we have been eating very well and still this is probably our best meal during the whole stay in Sicily: literally everything was delicious! No experiments, no modern technics to pimp up your dishes, just traditional Sicilian dishes made with top local ingredients and - I’m sure - lots of love! We got the address in a local ceramics shop and I’m really thankful for it! In case you cannot decide what to order: Linguine al nero di seppia were divine :)

Local cuisine at its best. Pizzas, salad, beer & service outstanding. Entire restaurant alive with the sound of local families and friends. Has the most extensive selection of Arancini I’ve encountered to date.

Each year I am in Sciacca. I would tell this is my "home restaurant". I am always happy about food and atmosphere...Since COVID many places did changed for bad in Sciacca, many was closed. Very honest and polite owner. And! Prices didn't change there...They are still excellent at combination quality=price Very worse to visit! Just step a little away from very turistis city center

Unfortunately, very rude service. I was clearly very basic with my Italian language skills and was met with impatience. I was dining with my two young boys and it was obvious we needed a bit of room to manoeuvre the menu. The woman serving was unfriendly, never smiled and was so abrupt it reminded me of Fawlty Towers. At best the food was passable, the sardine pasta with pine nuts and fennel was a basic student offering covered in a thick layer of dust that was meant to be the pine nuts...my kids were unsettled by the woman taking plates whilst we were still eating and we all felt terribly rushed. For a village restaurant the attitude seemed very city, unnecessarily.. Not great value for money and not a great experience I'm afraid

Absolutely wonderful experience at Trattoria La Buona Forchetta! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — truly some of the best we’ve had in Sicily. The service was warm and welcoming, and to top it off, the owner serenaded us with his guitar, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommended!

So disappointed by this place. The photos looked so good but the food was really terrible - we couldn’t eat more than a few mouthfuls each. Three enormous bowls of incredibly overcooked pasta turned up dripping in tasteless sauce. It was 3 piles of mush. They only do one house wine by the glass and it was akin to vinegar, a white wine which was also served very warm. The whole restaurant also smelt of the toilets. Nice chap serving us but food and ambiance truly revolting.

I had a lovely grilled fish and they staff was extremely friendly.

Based on the high number of good reviews I expected a better place. It’s a small restaurant with a tiny ‘garden space’. The menu is simple. The octopus salad was divine, a bit less my swordfish with cherry tomatoes and cumin. I was extremely disappointed with the choice of wine: although the area thrives in wine production, they keep the cheapest and lowest quality wine. They ‘house wine’ is absolutely not recommended. Good thing is that the three boys running the place are quick and pay attention to the clients. Bathrooms were also clean. We paid 120 euro for four people with a bottle of wine and no dessert.

Had a lovely meal at the Trattoria Mokarta in Sciacca, Sicily. The service was very friendly and helpful, although they speak little English they made very sure we had an enjoyable meal and chose what we liked. Our meal included a sea food antipasti and main courses of risotto and swordfish steak. Very reasonable prices for the meal and wine. Lovely setting we sat outside and enjoyed watching the fishing boats leaving the harbour.

Nice family owned seaside restaurant, good value for money. Food was excellent quality. One antipasto, two mains, a quarter litre of wine and two coffees came to €39, but I had the catch of the day which was a little more expensive, most of the main courses were €9 or €10. Very friendly waiter and chef who came out of the kitchen to chat to us about what fish was good that day.

This is a pretty cheap and simple restaurant, serving good, simple food from the Sicilian tradition. Mostly fish dishes, in basic, home-like preparations. Not a lot of innovation, but sincere food, nice service, and big quantities.

Sit outside and eat with a view and take in the quietness. Great location by the sea and amazingly cooked food!! Calamari is perfect. Service is also very decent.

Small informal restaurant. We had a pretty good lunch. The fried fish was good (catch of the day). However to us, after three weeks in Italy, it seemed a bit pricey- 25€ (for a modest sized fish). The wait staff seemed focused on selling us the fish. The potatoes as a side were a bit over cooked, but still tasty. We also had their Sicilian Salad. Kind of average. They could find real tasting tomatoes now(late May, as we have been eating them). These were like winter tomatoes. The salad a bit boring, from a taste perspective. The house white wine was good and inexpensive. As mentioned, it was a pretty OK lunch. But, they could up their game a bit. If you read some of the other reviews (especially the Italian ones), this theme appears. They were not super busy. Total bill 50€.

The food was amazing and will be back! I give this restaurant a 6/5 stars for being great in food taste and hospitality. The workers are fast and get the job done! The owner is super friendly and hilarious and really takes the time to give the full experience of Italian culture to the table. Thank you!!

Amazing, delicious Sicilian fresh seafood cuisine. Be sure to try the cozze and the pesce spada or tonno. The seaside ambience with the delicious food is a must during the holidays. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it!

We've been coming to this place for a good 15 years or more. It's a lovely beach and the food is exceptional. Try the pasta a la Lory, that is my favourite! Salvatore speaks English and German, which is useful.

Popped in for a late lunch on a cloudy afternoon, so glad we did. What a delightfully unexpected treat! Fresh lemon mussels and a glorious Tartare di Tonno. Superb! It's not easy making your way down to the Scaicca marina, but please do and you will find an assortment of restaurants, including this gem. A well-known former bakery, this wonderful restaurant has only been open for a month or two, and is hitting it out of the park! Featuring bountiful local fish, the cute space offers up imaginative cooking with an excellent, well-priced wine list. Only downside, just three tables on the tiny deck that overlooks the sea, and seems they largely go to locals. Highly rated!

The person at the reception was not polite to us and other customers. They charge 15% service fees but quality of service is not up to the mark. They forgot to serve coke we ordered when we reminded them it appeared twice in the bill so we had to convince them that the first one though ordered was never served with other drinks. The person transacting the payment was very irritated with us at no fault of ours. He then spoke to his colleagues who were having late dinner to resolve it as he could only speak Italian. It was not a customer friendly experience. There was nothing special about the pizzas served here. The street ambience was quite good.

As with all my reviews, the negatives… first. We walked from our accomodation to find a beautiful Italian pizza. Didn’t think it would feel like I walked into my local takeaway in England to pay for below average pizza. The pizza is not a traditional Italian pizza, it is more of a cheap takeaway pizza. The dough, albeit it may be, doesn’t taste fresh or authentic. It doesn’t feel like anything was made with care or love and simply was just not that great. The cheese was stringy and horrible, not proper fior de latte mozzarella but more of a plastic cheese you’d get in England at a pizza spot. The tomato base didn’t taste of anything and plenty of oregano doesn’t improve your pizza FYI. The Arancina was actually decent. Luke warm which was a shame but to be honest that’s the only reason this spot gets a 2 star. They did seem busy but to pay €7.50 for a bang average pizza when I’m used to paying €6 for ones that blow my mind was extremely disappointing. Sciacca isn’t very touristy for anyone wanting to know so expecting google translate to play a big part if you struggle with Italian like myself. Poor pictures as I only got a video. We would not recommend and would not be back.

Okay pizza, but nothing special for Italian standards - the dough feels more like bread. However, very atmospheric location across the street from two ancient (looking) palazzi. Calzone was much better than the standard pizza

Nice relaxed atmosphere and waiters. They have lots of pizza options at a reasonable price and nice cold drinks. My only criticism would be the use of single use plastics as it isn't very environmentally conscious.

I tried the pizza with mortadella and burrata and drank an aperol spritz. The pizza was excellent, but the drink was like a full glass of ice with 4cents of drink 😅 it was good though. What I totally didn’t get was the apetizers. We got like spanish style croquetas, but it was I think mirelit, deep fried hot dog meat and french fries. At this point I felt like I am not in Sicily. The waiter was nice, the outer tables had a simple but cozy, nice atmosphere. Would return for the pizza.

The pizza was not good at all. I would choose another restaurant. The service and the environment were very pleasant. But a lot of people took their pizza away, it's possible that we just made the wrong choice. Even so, I would choose another restaurant next time.

The pizzas here are excellent and the atmosphere is good. The tables and chairs are plastic and the resteraunt, at which I've only ever sat outside, is not plush by any means but the location is nice in amongst ancient buildings. The service is very matter of fact but the food is excellent and great value.

This is a winery where we stopped for lunch and a tour. The wine is delicious and surprisingly many red wines are made all in stainless tanks. The food is good. Climb the old tower for great views of the property that is filled with olive and citrus trees.

We visited De Gregorio which was only a few short kilometres away from where we were staying in Sciacca Sicily in June 2023. Our reason was to enjoy a lovely evening meal and we weren’t disappointed. We were given amuse bouche to begin with which gave us a hint of the quality of food to come. I had the roast beef starter followed by the Sea Bass both which were absolutely delicious. For dessert I enjoyed the Cheesecake which was sublime. We of course had the wine from their own winery which is up to a very high standard and amongst the best I have ever tasted. Prices for the food and the wine are very reasonable with total spend coming to €110 for two people including wine. Excellent value for this quality establishment. The restaurant is in a quiet tranquil location and well signposted from the main road.

Best most magical experience in Sicily! Cantine de Gregorio is the ultimate luxury dinner experience. You will arrive to a fairy lit walkway through a beautiful garden, then dine under the stars with the most excellent service! The staff are from the family owning the estate, and could not be more friendly and helpful. This is a family run business with a lot of history and heart. 100% strongly recommend!

Is a very beautiful place, classy, elegant and well maintained. I attended a wedding where everything was well equipped with everything a weeding needs (Food and drinks, music & live band, placing tables for guests...etc). Fancy place for any type of celebration 🍾 😉. To reach the destination is not that easy, since the roads are not that well maintained and needs some repairing. Everything else is amazingly nice.

Food was well prepared and well presented. We both had the Lamb ribs. I really recommend the Nero D’Avola red wine, it was great quality for a good price. It seems they only work with this one winery, however, it is really good.

We have been in Sicily for 2 weeks, and have decided that this restaurant had the best food so far. If you are in Sciacca please visit this restaurant! It is amazing!

We dined at Le Stranizze on our second night in Sciacca after being recommended the restaurant from our resort butler. The restaurant has a number of outdoor and indoor seats, but we opted for an outdoor table as the weather was nice and we loved seeing all of the activity outside in the heart of Sciacca. We were greeted by the restaurant employees promptly at the time of our reservation who were all warm and nice, and our server came by a few minutes later after we were seated to introduce herself and answered any initial questions we had. The server also gave us an introduction to their restaurant who also has a winery about 15 minutes away from the restaurant (and all wines from their wine list at the restaurant come from their winery). We ordered a bottle of Magaria (22 euros) and the wine was an extremely good quality and we loved it! For a starter, we ordered the Schiaffoni di Gargano (15 euros) and the pasta was also amazing and very fresh, and plenty big for the two of us to share. For entrees, we ordered Beef filet (22 euros) and the Grilled pork pluma (20 euros) and both were also outstanding and we split the dishes so we both could try two different things. For a dessert, we ordered the deconstructed cannoli which I think was around 5 euros and also was very outstanding and unique. All food was out of this world and very memorable. It tasted liked we were dining at a Michelin starred dining establishment! I highly recommend trying the restaurant if you're in the Sciacca area!

Really good dining experience. Staff is is very well trained, food is excellent, specially the octopus which had an amazing texture. Arancione with shrimps was very well balanced and the pistachio sauce was good. The sirloin was on point and the tomatoes were amazingly fresh. Fillet felt like butter, I think I've never had one that soft. Wine selection although short was well selected and is nothing to complain about.

best atmosphere, the tables are placed in the alley and so you can watch people and the hustle and bustle of the city while dining. the greeting from the kitchen was thoughtful and exquisite. for our starter we chose caponata. the tasteful play with chocolate, vegetables, cheese and sauce was heavenly. probably the best preparation of this famous starter of our entire sicilian trip. the pasta dishes that followed were no less impressive. as i had to drive for another 2 hours after dinner, i was unfortunately unable to taste any wine. a must here. the service, on the other hand, was a little frosty. anyway, we would definitely go again.

The octopus starter was good but the tuna was overcooked, dry and under-seasoned. They also sat us next to a garden area at night where there were lots of mosquitos.

Very delicious Sicilian food and wines, gourmet style. We were there two times for dinner and everything was tasty, caprese salad, grilled octopus, beef filet, time steak. Just there were many people and we had to wait for a while at the beginning. Convenient location in the city center in the pedestrian zone. Big public parking 5 min walking.

We’re used to try random restaurants and we were never deceived by food in Sicily but this time it was less than average. Their pizza is so chewy their dough is a fail. We also ordered stuffed zucchini flowers and fish both were not good at all. Even the lime served with the fish was too hard that even my husband found it hard to squeeze. Also their staff is not friendly they don’t smile back 👀 except a very young man who was friendly (I didn’t take photos for the other dishes)

Nicely decorated outdoor terrace and quiet place. Food is satisfactory, nothing special, but also nothing that will delight you or recommend. Service is disastrous, slow, forgetful and unprofessional. Our dishes came separately, and it wasn't even crowded so the girl ate half by the time mine arrived. Overall, not worth coming.

had a lovely dinner here. The carbonara was excellent — creamy, well-balanced, and full of flavor. The montanare with mortadella and burrata were a delicious surprise, light and tasty. The staff was kind and attentive, and the desserts were also very good. A great experience overall.

We ate terribly. Shrimp tartar was tasteless mush. Swordfish alla Sicilian overcooked and sauce was extremely salty. The service was friendly but very forgetful. I will not return.

The pizza was very good. Large portion and very tasty. The location is not much to be desired. It is in closed off alley/courtyard.

We wanted a simple but delicious meal for our second last night in Sciacca. I had the Branzino fillet and a salad and my husband had the Porcina pizza. It was all wonderful. Fresh and full of flavor, we enjoyed every bite!

We had a delicious meal at La Matrice. We had red mullet pasta, sea bass, tuna and salads. The food was very tasty - fresh fish and vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. We were seated in the square opposite the Basilica, which made for a very pleasant and calm (but also quite vibrant) atmosphere. The main attraction, however, was the attentive and friendly service. In particular, they responded quickly and exceptionally kindly when we knocked over a wine glass. Highly recommend!!

Menu over stated our 2 pasta dishes. No pink pawn or lobster. Shrimp in both. Favour poor. Sicilian wine! Just get beer or G&T.

On a little square by the basilica, busy on a Friday night but the staff were super efficient at getting you seated and served. The menu was as expected, skewed towards seafood but the pasta in particular was very good. It’s not trying to be fine dining, just a good trattoria where they do the staples well. Bravo.

I had a very disappointing experience at La Matrice in Sciacca. The food was average and overpriced, but what really ruined the evening was the service. When I asked for gluten-free pasta (which is advertised on Triparvisor), the staff flatly refused to cook it for me, giving me three different excuses (and I am sure they will provide another new reason, once they read this post)Their attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in professionalism. No apology was offered for the way I was treated. Overall, a very unpleasant dining experience – I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Quite the romantic setting. The servers were tired but dutiful. The food was fresh and hot when delivered. Each dish was just a little short of being great.

Late afternoon when other restaurants were closing, we stumbled across this restaurant as the last resort but were thoroughly pleased by the quality of the foods. The restaurant is quite hidden away with no terrace or big sign, and the interior design is quite tacky, but the dishes were great and price was on point.

Highly recommend. We had the lobster spaghetti and the seabass. It was simply amazing. Best fish I ever had. Great service by Ignazio. Grazie!

Super friendly staff (Ignacio) and delicious food. We shared the taste of Sicily and had the mixed grilled fish. And grandmothers cake as a desert. Everything was fresh and yummie! Don’t let the blinded windows scare you away; it is really worth visiting!

Wonderful evening with fabulously fresh and wonderfully prepared dishes. The Chef’s choice appetizer could be shared but I’m happy it wasn’t! Swordfish was thin sliced but with what I had already consumed it was a good portion. Our waiter was perfectly attentive and charming! Good value. If you ever are lucky enough to find yourself in Sciacca, make a reservation!

Unpresupposing fish restaurant near the fish docks in Sciacca, Sicily. Happy attentive, chatty staff. Their suggestions were perfect. Freshly caught baked John Dory (Saint Peter’s fish in Italy) with tomatoes and bread washed down with cold delicious Grillo white wine ( cheapest on the menu but recommended by Ignazzio). Thoroughly recommend the restaurant.

Saw Monica's review and the hilarious response and had to try this place out. I absolutely loved the food, and the service from Giuseppe was outstanding. It was quiet, but it's still out of season, but that didn't affect the quality and freshness of the food. Would highly recommend.

Large place, but with some atmosphere. Swift, friendly service. The most part of our party ordered pizza, which looked very good. I ordered tuna. It was a nice portion, but maybe a bit over-cooked? Still tasty, though. Nice bottle of Planeta Etna Bianco with that. Place is good for large events.

The location is a bit peculiar and not somewhere you would necessarily be drawn to as a tourist but the food was amazing and the place is filled with locals. The prices are reasonable with pizzas around €9 and an aperol spritz going for €5!!! Wait time was a bit long but worth it. Thank you !!

It was really great pizza. We tried both take away and eat in :). Both time the place was very busy so the food was a bit delayed. However service was nice. We did try the nutella-pizza. Really a treat. Extremely good. Pizza from here is VERY recommendable. Amongst the best pizza’s we’ve had in Sicily.

Good service, great antipasti ( I had a very soft and yummy entire octopus with lovely sweet tomato sauce) and excellent wild fennel, shrimp pasta. Nice white wine for 15 euro a bottle and lovely ocean view for a total of 65 euro. Recommended!

It would be easy to miss Ristorante OTTO as the signs for it are quite discreet. This would be a shame since it's a real find. We stopped in Sciacca to break our trip to our next destination. We arrived mid-afternoon and pretty much everywhere was shut except for a panini place. We stumbled across OTTO by chance and had a really good meal. It's chic, elegant and the food is great. We were the only other customers in there apart from a small group celebrating someone's birthday. The staff was attentive, spoke good English and we left happy and satisfied. Thank you.

Chef Antonio and his wife have created a culinary delight right across the cathedral and steps from the main plaza. Even the aromatic local olive oil to dip fresh baked focaccia is to die for. The decor and atmosphere are beautiful.

Nice place. Some of the food was wonderful (zucchini 'cannolo' filled with ricotta) but my seared tuna was far overcooked, although the taste of the fish was great. Very good service.

We had an incredible evening here. The food was almost too good to put into words, it was phenomenal and definitely our favourite meal of our whole holiday. On top of that, the service was exceptional. Nothing was too much to ask, we felt SO welcomed and genuinely cared for. I would recommend this restaurant over & over - it’s a must visit & we cannot wait to hopefully return one day.

Went there for valentine's day. One of the best dining experiences I had, quite hard for me to believe, since it was quite affordable, even tho quality of the service and most importantly of the food was excellent. I have high high standards, so I say this with background as an italian. Really Recommended. Thank you to the waitress, which was more a host then just a waitress.

This place is something else. Been there on one of those beautiful May late afternoons with my dear friend. Place was full of life, locals coming and going, chatting with each other. We immediately felt comfortable. The owner took his time to come outside and talk to us. Got free goodies complimentary to our arancine. Food is brilliant there. Could not recommend enough. One of those authentic places, so hard to see these days.

What a delightful place!! We’ve been traveling around Sicily for a week and this was the place where we were best received, with care, attention, and dedication! We tried the Potato Croquette, it was crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside… flavorful… spectacular… I could eat thousands… and the best part… freshly fried in clean, clear oil… just perfect. Then we tried the Porchetta sandwich, succulent roasted pork with warm, crispy bread, tasty, surprisingly well-seasoned! To finish, we ordered two Arancini and that was the real show… they were breaded and fried to order, and I noticed that after frying they waited a few minutes before serving them to us, so when they arrived they were hot but gentle enough for a bite, with melted cheese and full of flavor. We haven’t experienced this kind of care anywhere else in Sicily, only here! Not less important, we also tried the Panelle offered as a courtesy of the house… delicious and full of flavor. If you want to experience Sicily, visit this place and enjoy its wonderful food and service!!!

While staying in Sciacca for our summer holiday, we found Antica Focacceria Ingrao on Google Reviews and decided to try it – and it was such a great choice. The arancini are incredible: we tried the bolognese, ham & mozzarella, and pistachio. The ham & mozzarella and the bolognese were our favourites, but honestly all of them were delicious. They’re freshly made and fried right in front of you, which makes them extra special. We were even given some panelle to taste while waiting, which was a lovely touch. The first time we took the arancini away to the beach and ate them an hour later – still amazing – and the second time we had them fresh on the spot, which was even better. Service was very friendly and helpful, and although their English wasn’t perfect, communication was no problem. Prices were excellent too – really great value. 10/10, highly recommend!

My partner and I visited this place for lunch a couple of days ago and it has been by far our best food experience in Sicily so far! When we arrived it was busy and the atmosphere great, we met the owners who we asked to give us whatever was recommended and every single thing Miguel brought out to us was delicious!! The Arancini is the best we’ve ever had and both the anchovy & porchetta sandwiches were out of this world. The panelle were also incredible!! The hospitality was so wonderful and before we left we were treated to their Cassatelle Siciliane (a traditional dessert made with ricotta) and of course espresso! Thank you so much, we’ll never forget our little lunch stop at Antica Focacceria 🩷

Absolutely amazing arancini. We had the bolognese and ham with mozzarella. We were offered the dessert arancini and couldn’t refuse even though we were full. Even though we speak 0 Italian the man was very helpful

This is undoubtedly the best restaurant I've visited while in Sicily. The food is incredible, traditional, and genuinely affordable. The staff are friendly and fast. There's plenty of parking, and plenty of seating on Sundays around lunchtime. I can't wait to come back!

Fattoria Morgano is a beautiful restaurant situated on the Via Vassallo near Sciacca in Sicily. This is definitely a a restaurant for meat lovers although many tastes are catered for. I had the potato croquettes to start with and my wife had the arancini, both were delicious. For mains we had the pork and the lamb also beautifully cooked and presented the food was delicious as was tue recommended red wine. Prices are very reasonable and excellent value. Staff are very professional, well trained, polite and helpful.

The food was some of the best we’ve had in Sicily ever. Simple, insanely good quality ingredients, perfect cooking. We had bruschetta for appetizer - generous, avocado and pork roast, delicious, the ricotta, asparagus ravioli (perfectly cooked, fresh pasta with wonderful texture), the mushroom, lard and pumpkin gnocchi (they were like eating small clouds!!!). Then we had pork Bombette, very juicy, tasty meat. And finally the amazing lamb ribs - simply the best lamb we’ve had in years. Perfectly seasoned with coarse salt and old fashioned mustard, absolutely divine. We had to finish them directly on the bones. Last but not least a traditional cannoli to die for. The waiters were so lovely and kind as well, they really made the meal so much more enjoyable.

Very tasty home-made cuisine. Location far from the center of Sciacca but it's more plus than minus. All food are really tasty and portions are big. Wine list is moderate.

Overall a very nice experience, very good food, the Waiters were very nice, but somehow a little unorganized, the Wine Glasses were not clean. But from service and price point it's really the only thing that I would criticize. The restaurant is hidden in a passage and very "local". We had lasagna and pistachio pasta, those were godsent!

On our first evening in Sciacca, after driving from Palermo, we stumbled upon Osteria Il Commensale with its lovely terrace tucked away in an alley – and we’re so glad we stopped. As soon as we sat down, the scent of truffle filled the air, and even though my husband isn’t usually a truffle fan, he ordered the carbonara with truffle. I chose the pasta alla Norma, a classic Sicilian dish. Both were superb: generous portions, rich flavours, and absolutely delicious. We finished with a traditional cassata siciliana (the beautiful green marzipan cake), which was the perfect sweet ending. Service was friendly and helpful, and the bill for two – including everything – came in under €50, which felt like excellent value. A really positive experience – great food, warm service, and a charming setting. Highly recommended if you’re in Sciacca.

I love this place!!! Every time I'm visiting Sciacca I come here . Amazing hot wing( seriously love the hot sauce!!!) perfect stone baked pizza and an all round great vibe . Staff are accommodating to foreigners and the drinks bar is fitted for beer and spirit drinkers alike . ❤

Food is SO good here! We were staying in Sciacca and came twice for dinner. We tried their pizza, fish ravioli (don't skip this option!), pesto pasta and grilled mixed seafood. Everything tasted so good and fresh. Prices and portions are very good too. I would definitely give it a try if you are nearby.

Hidden place, but totally worth it! We found it while going back to Palermo from Scala dei Turchi. Very friendly stuff and very very good food. The prices are affordable between 10-20 euros for diner.

Compared to many other restaurants in the neighbourhood, this one was the worst by far. The pasta's were bland and the pizza was average. One of the waitresses (ours, an elderly woman) was not friendly and looked like she hated to work there. We definitely did not feel welcomed and would not recommend this place!

Ate at this awesome restaurant. Food was crazy good, like seriously amazing. And the staff was super nice, made the whole thing even better. Totally recommend it!

My wife and I had the Diavola pizza and Tagliatelle funghi e speck. Both were exceptional! Friendly service, which I have found to be abnormal here in Sicily. I would love to go back. I wish I could take the entire establishment and put it in my hometown in Ohio U.S.A.! That may have been the best pizza I have ever had.

This was our second time here and it was just as good as we remembered. A must-eat in Sciacca. Get the shiso foam mussels and the tuna with potato ginger purée topped with orange zest. Heads up there is a mandatory 10% gratuity!

Great experience, beautiful terrace and amazing food. Unfortunely I have to give one less star because it’s embarrassing to make you pay mandatory a 10% service over the final price. It’s not USA here, you don’t force your clients to tip. I would have done it myself anyway, it’s just not classy like this and I don’t want Italy to become like USA

We had two antipasti - the polpo all’Orientale and another hors-d’oeuvre with very thinly sliced octopus and pistachios. Then we enjoyed the linguine with shrimp and the seared tuna. Everything was delicious. The service was very friendly, and the owner was exceptionally hospitable, even treating us to his homemade limoncello. It was the perfect way to end an evening in Sciacca.✨

Great find for a wide variety of seafood influenced dishes. The gnocchi with clams was amazing - soft and pillowy and a nice amount of clams. The anchovy appetizer was a good-sized plate of anchovies with dots of sauces made from onion and arugula. And the Risotto with squire and basil sauce was done perfectly al dente. The service was great too and our waitress helped select a local wine that paired well with our selections.

Restaurant with a nice space outdoor, so you can still feel the street surroundings, which was lovely. Staff was really nice. We had amazing and tasting food, very well seasoned. Finished with a lovely pistachio dessert. Definitely worth a stop.

Our 1st meal in Siacca. We gave it 5 stars. They gave us a complimentary appetizer, black ink squid with crème on top. Diced squid in the black ink. Warm in a beautiful round dish. I loved the sardine appetizer and my husband loved his octopus BBQ. I had the sea urchin pasta which was so rich and delicious. My husband had the grilled whole fish: juicy fish and crispy scales. Dessert was awesome! If we didn’t order the whole fish, our meat would’ve been $70. Fish was $65 which we willing want to try. Otherwise, it would’ve been the least amount we ever spend on dinner anywhere with food that is so delicious

This place is a gem. We were hungry and had been exploring all day. Came back and found Pizzeria Bellavista. Huge menu of different Pizza's. The food was very tasty and the service was above and beyond. Loved this place. Definitely a must stop location.

Really nice restaurant, service was great and a very good price. For four people we paid 60€ with table cost. They even give you a free small drink like Crapa ore coffee ( we got Crapa). Maybe you should make a reservation on weekends because it gets pretty full. I would recommend it for everyone how likes pizza.

NIce views, good service, but not worth stopping in for the pizza. Although a very busy and popular place for locals, the pizza is doughy and too cheesy. Seems they could make better use of their wood fired oven.

Waited well over an hour for a pizza to be served after we had ordered, my pizza was swimming in mozzarella an my wife's pizza was burnt black. Not worth the money an definitely not worth the wait.

Great beach bar - one of the few in the area open in October. We went there on a beautiful sunny Saturday - hired loungers and had lunch in the bar. Best bread and olive oil we have had on this trip to Sicily, we had seconds! Had a fish platter each, with octopus, prawns and calamari. Very nice indeed - the octopus and calamari could have been served hotter though (deducted a star for that - I like my food good and hot) the prawns were fine. Good value for money. The staff don’t speak English here, but then we don’t speak Italian! But we got by thanks to google and a lot of laughter, especially when we got the wrong food at first - we thought we had ordered the wrong dish! But fortunately it was claimed by a lovely lady and her mum who realised what was happening. Language difficulties are no one’s fault and laughter is better than frustration! We had a great day here- this is a beautiful beach and we stayed until sunset.

The guy that collects the money for the parking lot obviously gets paid to tell and accompany people downstairs to the restaurant. After telling him a few times „no“ he still proceeded to be very pushy and insisted he would go with us. So he did and touched us on our shoulders we felt very uncomfortable. After that we were obviously not in a good mood and not saying „thank you“ like he maybe wanted which led to him complaining about us to a guy working at the restaurant. He talked about us right in front of us and pointed at us which made us feel even worse. The atmosphere was very loud because there was a dj (even tho it was afternoon) with really bad music. The blonde waitress was the opposite of the whole place and was very calm and kind which was nice. Food experience was pretty good, I had Pasta with pistachio and gamabretti👍👍 I just feel like it was a bit pricey (i think 20€) as I paid 10 for the same meal somewhere else.

All service has been with a smile and a warm welcome that we have enjoyed since my 21 one year old son was 2! Perfect! Would give 6 stars if more were available.

This place deserves a Michelin Stars. Hands down Michelin Stars. From the food, the atmosphere the AMAAAAAAAZING service and the clean amenities, it’s just out of this world! Made my decision so easy to retire and live in Sicily simply for having outstanding amazing experiences on daily basis. Seems it’s run by a nice family, very clean, neat and full of love.
