Beautiful Church in Castellammare.

(Translated by Google) It is the Mother Church of Castellammare del Golfo. It is very simple and linear both on the outside and inside where there is a light baroque style. Unfortunately it would need some restoration work. (Original) E' la Chiesa Madre di Castellammare del Golfo. Nestled in the charming town of Castellammare del Golfo, Ristorante La Cambusa is a beloved culinary gem that captures the essence of Sicilian cuisine. With its polished, ocean-themed decor and stunning views of the marina, this restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for both locals and travelers alike. Guests can indulge in a delightful array of classic seafood and pasta dishes that showcase authentic flavors with a creative twist.
Ristorante La Cambusa exceeded all our expectations! After a fantastic day out on a sport fishing adventure, the staff graciously cooked the fish we caught, free of charge—such a thoughtful and personal touch. Every other dish we ordered was just as impressive, bursting with incredible flavors and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable—attentive, yet unobtrusive. The staff made sure our plates were cleared promptly to prepare for the next delicious course. The upscale ambiance, paired with the stunning view of the marina and the sea, made the entire experience unforgettable. 🌊 Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

Lovely setting in the marina. We met Gaspare whose parents run the restaurant and his dad is the chef. The food was excellent, we had Octopus, Casarecce with pistachio cream, prawn and cuttlefish - which was amazing, tagliatelle with tomato and prawns which was delicious. The tiramisu to finish was also brilliant.

Bar La Sorgente is a delightful gem that showcases the best of Sicilian pastry, particularly renowned for its cannoli and cassatelle. The cannolo, often hailed as the king of Sicilian desserts, features a crispy fried shell filled with fresh ricotta and can be enhanced with various ingredients like candied orange peel or chocolate chips. Originally crafted for carnival celebrations, this treat has become a beloved staple in Italian cuisine worldwide.
One of the best patisseries you will find in the Trapani province. Cassatella is a must here, trays with warm ones always available just off the frier. Great selection of other sicilian pastries too. I recommend the Genovese with cream or ricotta and the flavour rum ricotta peach. If you prefer savoury dishes, they offer an entire selection of panini, arancini, pizzette, calzoni, etc. The downside here is the long wait at the cashier due to the popularity of the place.

If you want to experience the chaotic yet organised Sicilian busy pastry shop experience , then this is your spot. Open the whole day , this shop provides great quality pastries as well as nice savoury sandwiches and great breakfast croissants. Everyone seems very hard working and they keep up with a huge workload daily. Hats off to them as they are doing a great job. It is very informal and rustic ( you might even witness a fight between staff members while coping with a busy service , but hey, this is the proper cafè experience). High recommended for quality Sicilian food !!

Castle
Castello Arabo Normanno, also known as Castellammare's stumpy castle, is situated on an ancient site with a rich history that includes Arab and Norman influences. The headland has likely been fortified for centuries and was once a harbor for the Elymian people of Segesta. While much of the castle was closed for refurbishment during my visit, I had the opportunity to explore one of its museums.
Temporarily closed for restoration. The museum, which is very beautiful, is open though.

Mare and More offers boat excursions from Castellammare del Golfo to explore the stunning coastline, including the Zingaro Nature Reserve and San Vito Lo Capo. The town itself is a charming seaside resort with a picturesque harbor and a castle at the end of the bay. The boat tour provides an excellent opportunity to visit incredible places while enjoying informative commentary in both Italian and English. Guests are treated to wine, fruits, and water on board, with ample space for swimming stops.
Everything was great. If you need to relax, have fun and enjoy the amazing sea it is the best choice to go on this eight hour tour boat. We had visited 6-7 different beaches. Every one of each was unique and amazing.
Zahra C — Google review
My family and I planned this boat tour for our first trip to Sicily. We were a group of 9, ages ranging from 9- 72. Stefano and his crew were accommodating and knowledgeable of the landscape. We were given waters, wine and fresh fruit. The views were breathtaking and swimming in the sea was enjoyable and refreshing. Stefano brought us to interesting places and we will remember this trip forever. One memorable part was the Gelato/ aperol spritz boat that pulls up right to you on the water.
Andrea B — Google review
It was our first boat tour, and it was absolutely amazing. We went on the 8-hour tour and I’d say it is absolutely worth it, especially if you wouldn’t visit San Vito lo Capo otherwise. Our skipper was really kind, he always had some trivia for the place we were currently at, and had all necessary amenities for the tour - drinks, fruit, goggles (especially near the first stops, the underwater sights are amazing!), those tube-things if you need help staying afloat, etc. Our group was really great too, but I guess that’s up to luck. One note, if you get seasick or motion sickness easily, make sure to pack some pills against it (they worked perfectly for me, God bless the 21st century)!

Our family of four took a boat excursion from Castellammare to San Vito Lo Capo with Mare and More. It was a highlight of our trip!! It was just beautiful, San Vito Lo Capo was one of the most gorgeous places we visited in Sicily, the lunch recommendation was great, the boat itself was comfortable with cold drinks and fresh fruit provided. Stefano and Michele made the trip extra special!!

The boat tour to San Vito Lo Capo aboard the RHIB Master 1000 was absolutely exceptional. Our skipper, Stefano, was warm, friendly, and full of fascinating insights about the area, which he shared throughout the journey. The scenery was breathtaking, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters was an unforgettable experience. A perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and local charm — highly recommended!

A lovely day on the water. We went to many good and interesting swim spots including caves, tonnara di scapello, and zingaro reserve (which was otherwise unreachable due to fire damage). Plenty of wine and water, and a nice amount of time in San Vito Lo capo for lunch. We were so glad we went with the all-day option.

Amazing natural park with spectacular road. One of the best views I have ever seen is there. The park itself is huge, so You can hike and explore it all day long. We had a fantastic hike here, you could either just do the lower coastal work from one end to the other and back which would be about 12ish kilometres in total or there is a path higher up the mountain for a change of scenery on the return route, the accent is about 400m to the higher path. Both offer stunning views. Just remembered your sunscreen and carry lots of water, we only found one spot for water along the way as the other one we found had a broken tap.

Tonnara di Scopello is a historic tuna-fishing estate that operated until 1984 and has since been transformed into a museum and inn, offering its picturesque surroundings for events. The site attracts both locals and tourists, with its beach area open to day guests who can relax on sunbeds and visit the cafe. Due to its popularity, it's advisable to arrive early to secure a spot. The location also serves as a sought-after wedding venue.
This is a paradise spot. I can’t give less than the maximum. However, as a local, I have to admit that is now a spot for tourists only. In the last years the entrance price increased sharply. 4 drinks are 52€. This level of price changed the Sicilian vibe for the American/posh tourism which is actually boring. Staff is friendly, the facilities are clean. Cocktails are delicious. Unfortunately there is this price barrier. Maybe I am a bit nostalgic. Crystal water. Must go when visiting Sicily.
Giorgio F — Google review
Incredibly beautiful place — perfect if you’re looking to spend the day in peace rather than on crowded beaches. It’s best to come early when it opens to get good spots. There are sun loungers and a small café with snacks and drinks. The entrance fee (€25 for the whole day) is worth it, but the €20 parking (in mid-July) felt overpriced to me. Buy tickets in advance on the website, especially during the high season.
Stella — Google review
I recently photographed a wedding at Tonnara di Scopello and it was an unforgettable experience. The setting is breathtaking – dramatic cliffs, turquoise waters, and a unique atmosphere that feels both intimate and grand at the same time. From a photography perspective, the light and scenery are incredible, and it’s easily one of the most beautiful locations I’ve had the privilege to work at in Sicily.
Kristian L — Google review
The Tonnara di Scopello is one of the most iconic and highly anticipated sights in Western Sicily. This ancient tuna fishery is stunningly picturesque, famous for its historic structure nestled between dramatic cliffs and the two impressive faraglioni (sea stacks). The visual impact is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s an essential photo stop in the region. We were unfortunately met with a significant disappointment upon arrival: the required entry fee. To access the property, get closer to the sea, and take pictures, the cost was €15 per person. While we understand that such a high price might be necessary to manage large crowds for swimming and snorkeling during peak summer season, we visited off-season when there was virtually no one else around. Charging such a steep fee just for the privilege of walking down and taking a few photographs felt prohibitive and entirely excessive. If you are nearby, the site is still worth seeing from a distance along the coastal road, as the panorama is unforgettable. However, unless you plan to spend hours swimming or snorkeling in high season, the €15 entry fee is definitely too much for just a quick visit and a photo op. Approach with caution and plan to admire its beauty from afar.
Halide E — Google review
Last week, I visited Tonnara di Scopello with my partner. As the hotel is booked far in advance and our trip was spontaneous, we came simply as visitors to the museum. I’ve admired this boutique, intimate hotel for a long time, and while in Sicily for just a few days, I wanted at least to enjoy the architecture and ambiance in person. So I purchased two entrance tickets for €50. Please note: I’m not writing this review as a hotel guest—perhaps under those circumstances my experience would have been exceptional. However, if you plan to visit as a tourist, like I did, I must say the experience was rather disappointing. The €25 per person entrance fee grants access to only a few rooms, where the exhibits are limited to some old fishing equipment and photos of fishermen. Photography is strictly forbidden, and access to most areas is restricted. What’s more, entry is only allowed at specific times, and this is not clearly stated on the website. This was quite frustrating, especially since I was in Sicily for a friend's wedding and only had two hours to spare. Waiting an hour for the English-language tour wasn’t ideal, so I joined the Italian one instead. Midway through the visit, feeling underwhelmed, I decided to leave—only to be escorted directly to the exit, presumably to ensure I didn’t take any unauthorized photos on my way out. 🤣 In summary, if your intention—like mine—was to admire the beauty of the location, perhaps take a few photos or enjoy a drink while soaking in the atmosphere, I would not recommend visiting unless you're staying as a hotel guest
E — Google review
Beautiful historic tuna fishery turned museum and boutique hotel. Stunning sea views, crystal-clear water, and peaceful atmosphere. Perfect spot to explore Sicily’s history and nature. Entry is pretty expensive and limited so I would recommend enjoying from the viewpoint and go to the free beach Cala Mazzo di Sciacca
Farrux A — Google review
We loved this beach! We came for the day and it was really worth the trek. Stunning view of the water and cliffs, great service, food, facilities, etc. We went once and immediately booked to come back during our stay because it was secluded and relaxing. There is a bit of an Instagram photoshoot scene, but we didn’t mind and you can’t really blame them - the view is perfect ;)
Megan — Google review
We were just on the public beach, but that also costs money - we managed to buy a ticket at the entrance. There is a small cafe at the hotel, where you can buy drinks.

Guidaloca beach is a popular destination, especially during the high tourist season of July and August. The stunning turquoise waters and picturesque surroundings make it a beautiful spot for visitors. The calm waters are perfect for kayaking, with three parking areas available for convenience. The beach offers plenty of amenities, including chair and umbrella rentals, as well as waiter service for food and drinks. Accessible from both sides, the beach features clean water and pebbled shores, making it easy to enjoy the sea.
Gorgeous. Sea was warm and clean. We hired a brolly and sun beds for 15 euros

🌊 A charming beach with crystal-clear water This beach is made up of smooth, round stones instead of sand it might not be the most comfortable to walk on, but it gives the place a unique and peaceful vibe. The sea is incredibly clear, perfect for a refreshing swim or just floating and watching the sun play on the water. It’s a bit of a pity that it’s turning into a lido, with lots of umbrellas and sunbeds taking over the natural charm. But if you go after 7:30 PM, like we did, it’s much calmer, less crowded, and the light is just magical. 🌅✨ Definitely worth a visit especially in the evening.

So, I was a little surprised just how crowded the beach was. I was told by the locals that July and August are high tourist season so the beach will always be crowded. That being said, it cost us 40e for 4 chairs and one umbrella. The water was a beautiful color blue but not as clear as you would expect. I did like that the waiters will come around with menus and u can place orders and they will bring to your chairs. Plenty of different options on the menus to choose from for lunch and reasonably priced. The view is beautiful. Like most beaches, there are pebbles so wear water shoes. There is a bathroom, it is what it is but clean. If you are looking for a quiet beach this is not it but very clean compared to other beaches in Sicily. Parking was only 5e for the day.

⁉️BRIEFLY ⭐⭐⭐⭐ pebbly beach where to refresh yourself during the hot summer days. Clear (yet NOT crystal clear) waters. ❗No lifeguard around! 🔎 There are various bars nearby that offer the following services: - Food(restaurant and snacks) - Toilets - Showers (paid) - Loungers and umbrella (15€/2pax) 🅿️ There are paid parking nearby 5 to 7€ each for the full day, pay bay card only..

Relaxing beach. Paid parking really close and beach chairs were reasonably priced. Plenty of places for food and drink. Clear nice water

It’s fine. Now is the end of the season but still possible to swim and enjoy the past warm weather. We payed just 3 euros for a parking near but my friend is Italian so I can’t judge the price because maybe they take full price from the tourists

Cala Mazzo di Sciacca is a rocky inlet known for its clear waters, making it a popular spot for swimming and snorkeling. The beach offers beach chair rentals and has a snack bar available. Its extraordinary landscape and stunning water shades make it an ideal location for snorkeling, with diverse marine life to explore within the coral reefs just meters from the shore.
We loved this Cala!! The water was incredibly beautiful. The beach is stones, so you definitely need water shoes. There’s a small bar for drinks and a chair rental place. Definitely worth the stop to spend the day!

Really beautiful beach, was not too crowded during our visit. Great for snorkeling around the rocks. Not the most comfortable to lay on due to the rocks and pebbles but still doable. Bring your own umbrella unless you’re paying for a chair by the lido next door. Food and drinks accessible to the beach!
Andres Q — Google review
Nice pebble beach, the water is very clear, great for snorkeling. There is also a car park and a few bars. At the time of our visit , the car park cost is 8 euro per day. You can also rent sunbeds and umbrellas and have a nice Aperol spritz by the beach. The cost for pair of sunbeds and umbrella depends o the time of the season you come here . It can range from 10 euros per day to 30 euros per day in high season.

Gorgeous spot for swimming! We paid €8 for the parking and ate a salad and a panini at the little cafe in the place. It’s a bit hidden, and to get there you need to go through very narrow paths and it can be difficult to drive to, especially if you’re are tourist and aren’t used to those. Recommend it!

Visited on a Monday and were able to secure parking and a lounge. Parking was €8/day and paid €25 for two chairs. Nice beach, bit rough water and rocky getting in and out of water but beautiful surroundings.

The Vignazzi Pizzeria Minigolf offers a delightful experience with its well-maintained miniature golf course. The setting, enhanced by carefully placed spotlights and beautiful olive trees, creates an enchanting ambiance. The staff is friendly and provides fast service, ensuring a pleasant visit. Minigolf is fun, they have a decent course there. The pizza is outstanding, actually surprisingly this was the best pizza what we tried in Sicily. One thing to improve: put some speakers out there to the minigolf course, it would be much more fun to play with music in the background…

The beach resort is very expensive, even for just a few hours: €60 for two loungers and an umbrella, forcing us to stay only two people when they wanted to share it between four. The staff was rude and insensitive, making no effort to understand our situation. They took advantage of tourists by offering unreasonable prices, with only three rows of loungers in the middle of nowhere. I asked them to charge my power bank, I left it at 5%, and after two hours they gave it back to me at 20%, noting that when they returned it to me, they hadn't removed the cable... very rude... then they complained about the decline in tourism. Shameful. (Original) Abbiamo dovuto per forza passare mezza giornata in questo lido, in attesta di risolvere la sventura della macchina rotta durante la notte. This tiny beach in Sicily might be better suited for mountain goats than beach lovers. Access is… let’s say “adventurous” — the staircase doesn’t even go all the way down, so you’ll need to channel your inner rock climber to make it to the scattered stones that pass for a beach. As for the view? Not bad, but in a place like Sicily — where stunning beaches are around every corner — this one doesn’t make the highlight reel. If you’re after turquoise water and soft sand, skip this detour. But hey, if you’re looking to burn some calories on your vacation and collect a mildly interesting story, it might just do the trick.

There is parking for 5 euros right by the stairs. Stairs take about 5-10 minutes depending on your ability. We went to many beaches and this was our favorite. Photos do not do it justice.

Little nook of paradise, however it is a little bit difficult to access. After hiking down, you’re greeted by a degrading rusty staircase followed by spiky rocks that you need to cross to get to the pebble beach. However, it’s worth it!

Great place for snorkeling! Lots of fishes, nice rocks. Water was not as transparent as it could when we were there, but still it was a great 2h swimming excercise. A nearby grotte with underwater side exit is an amazing freediving experience. Spiky stones everywhere, some shoes are recommended. The stairs and railings in the bottom are rusted, be careful!

Torre di Scopello-Doria offers a unique and memorable experience with its villa/apartments located by the historic watchtower above the bay. The property provides incredible views and an ideal location for a perfect day, with private access to the beach via steps and walking distance to Tonara. Guests can enjoy snorkeling, stunning views of the intact 16th-century tower, and a pleasant walk around a small nature reserve.
Hosted my partner's 40th birthday here and with the help of Genziana (owner) and her team, everything went perfectly. First off, the location is beautiful. All of our guests were amazed and the setting was perfect for a celebration. Communication with the Torre was easy. They handled the bar and catering, helped with the furniture and answered all of my silly questions quickly and clearly. I could not recommend this venue more.

This place is an absolute gem! For a 15 euro basic ticket, you have seating wherever you like (you can move in/out of the shade onto different seats as you choose), guided tour of the tower and you can also visit a WW2 bunker! There are steps down to the sea for swimming. With great views and well-placed seats on a landscaped cliff, this is a perfect place to spend a day sunbathing. My wife and I were there all day and it never got busy or crowded. Recommended!

This is an absolutely amazing spot well worth the money. It's 15 euros for a deck chair with a pretty view and amazing access to water (no beach, just stairs and some rocks but it's not difficult to get in) . It includes parking. And you can swim to the faraglioni and see the Tonarra from the sea if you're not scared of being in deep water. I might come again tomorrow 😅 The staff is also very nice and there's a food truck and a small bar.

After reading a few negative reviews, I can be happy that I partially avoided this HORROR. My story begins with the arrival of the car and paying the ticket for two people 30€. I immediately felt some discomfort in the conversation with the girl at the counter. After we paid the tickets and parked. The terror began. Namely, when we got out of the car, we took out a bag with food and drinks. At the same time, we were warned by the worker from the mobile restaurant that we were not allowed to bring food in. While I was thinking for a few seconds what to do with the food that would spoil in the car, another control comes from the girl who looks at us and sings with the worker from the restaurant. I accepted that warning and we decided to get in the car and eat sandwiches. After a few bites, a guy in a golf cart comes and looks at us a little more aggressively as we eat sandwiches in a closed car. I go outside and tell him that there is no point in forbidding us to eat a sandwich. He of course didn't agree with that and said that we could eat the sandwiches on the road outside the parking lot and then come back. My girlfriend laughed at that and he got offended and asked for the tickets to be checked. Then I asked him nicely to give me my money back and that I would leave. Thank God it went without a problem. I would suggest to this team that they invest their money in socializing, traveling where they will learn from real professionals how to do the hospitality business. Of course, the girl will write about her experience soon.😋

Great place to sun bathe, relax and swim. Lounge options include lounge chairs and beach chairs. You can have food and drink ordered to bring to you or you can get it from the food truck directly at the parking which is free. Recommend to bring swim goggles to enjoy the underwater view around the cliffs. Recommend to bring single coin euros to use the shower to wash up after swimming in the sea and proper flipflops or sandals (not white sneakers) when you are at the lounge area but wear shoes to walk down to from the parking lot because its not a paved path
