This restaurant offers a dining experience that goes beyond just great food — it’s a true culinary journey. We were lucky to meet a very talented and passionated chef. We ate lunch and diner 5 days in a row in this restaurant and every day we got served a variation of fresh local food . Every day a different 3/4 course. Each course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service was great, very friendly, relaxed and highly professional. The selection of wines was great. I 100% recommend this place I can’t wait to return! The location is at one of the most beautiful beaches.

A beautiful restaurant almost on the beach led by two young people cooking and serving at the same time when we were there. The food was creative and of excellent quality. Generous meal sizes and more than reasonably priced. We had a variety of fish based anti pasti dishes, Chicche with mussels and Ravioli with mixed meat ragu. All in all we can recommend everyone visiting Torre Dei Corsari or the surrounding area to pay this place a visit. If we can ever come back, we will definitely visit the Mates again!

In our six years visiting Sardinia this is absolutely the best prepared fish anywhere on the island - The chef is a creative genius- Absolutely delicious. The location is a little off the beaten track but we were intrigued by the amazing reviews so stayed the night nearby - I urge all food lovers to visit - before the chef is discovered by the Michelin folk. Also they bake possibly the best bread I’ve ever had in my life. The waitstaff have the NY cool edge of those you might find in a top rated Manhattan restaurant- but they soon warmed up. The chef was handsome and polite… We had an amazing octopus crocante appetiser and the most delicate Ombrina ceviche - Followed by an amazing whole grilled orata and steamed spigola - The prices are absolutely reasonable- half what we’ve paid for similar dishes elsewhere- Great and reasonable wine list - There is only one word left to say GO !

Nice place, but rather pricey and nothing special really... They try to make you feel like you're in a super luxury place, but the food is just average. Then you finish, ask for the bill and they ignore you. We waited 20 minutes,finally just got up and went straight to the checkout cause nobody cared to bring the dang bill.

Dubious smell of unfresh fish coming from the kitchen should alert us but we love Sardinia, love seafood, trust good people. Starters were little surprising, but we gave the chance the main dishes. This was serious mistake. Head of the room tried to rise the quality of calmari dish playing around. Initially she suggested my partner put the glass of wine on the wrong side of the table (!?) secondly she asked to smell warmed olive which was totally plain (?). Finally calmari with olive were cold and gummy, evidently refrosen (while we're sitting at the wonderful beach in seamen village). Mixed fish grillada was just a scandal! Tails of uncleaned shrimp hidden under cold, dry dorada (refrosen again!). Green inside, smelly langustine - simply dangerous for your health! We refused to eat. This time same head of the room who served us the main course sent another waiter to solve the problem. We payed for starters, water and wine and escaped to clean our stomachs (literaly!) Sad and dangerous.

The service was incredible, food was even better. The seafood here is amazing quality. The owner was very welcoming and content. Overall my meal was amazing and I will definitely be eating here again.

Old bread for starters. Overpriced food. Tomatoe salad (4.5 eur) is literally a tomatoe cut on a plate. Nothing else. Mixed salad is a tomatoe and two color of cabbage. Very tough to eat... Beef steak was super small, a few small places on the plate... Rocket salad and parmegiano were also not much. Closing the bathroom door the handle fell off. Not a good experience, would not recommend. No love in food, service or premises. And especially not for a really premium price.

We also had some local Ichnusa beers 🍺 and refreshing Aperol Spritz 🍹– perfect combo for a summer evening. Prices were very reasonable too 💶. Overall, a great spot with a lovely atmosphere, beautiful views, and tasty pizza. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area! 🌟

Service should be improved ... does not look friendly to guests if drinks get forgetten three times in a row and waiting to get them last almost 20 minutes - just bottled beer, no cocktails. Same when asking for the bill ... no reaction, though it was confirmed to bring.

We loved staying at L’oasi. Angela’s cooking was our highlight. Probably the best meals we had in Sardinia. Set in a sweet garden. Down an unpaved road that our midsized hire car handled ok at a slow pace. Room was fine, comfortable enough. No fan or air conditioning so that might be challenging in higher temps. The rooms are not sound proof so you can hear other guests but the surroundings are very peaceful. The hosts don’t speak English but you easily make do! The walk nearby up Mt. Acuentu was excellent!

The main building is very good. We were lucky enough to have the room with a balcony. Reasonable size room and bathroom. Small shower. All very clean and in good condition. Linen was a little worn but fine. Very good food all cooked by the owners. The location is very unique. Goats and deer roam locally. Hiking is a key activity. Otherwise about 2 beaches near. Piscinas is very special.

We spent several nights in the appartment. At first moment we were surpeised that the apaertement was not in the hotel but ca 10 min walking from there. After first shock it became advantage. It was quiet place with nice view to the see. We enjoyed freindly staff and good and rich dinners. Evenings on terace were superb. But! It is far from the beach. The rooms are not airconditioned. We sufferef with hundreds of mosquitos. So if you don't mind about it enjoy the stay. We did. The roms are without wi-fi. It is available in hotel lobby.

The waitress was charming and spoke good English. The red wine at 2 euros a glass was good value. Then came the food, I had Ravioli in a tomato sauce at 14 euros, which for Sardinia is expensive. I assume the ravioli had a previous life in a freezer and the sauce possibly from a jar. I ventured on to a desert "della casa" of crème Catalan at 6 euros which arrived in a shallow dish. I guess the kitchen had made the base but the topping had the look and taste of being commercially made. Either lower the prices to reflect the mediocre food or raise the game considerably.

I cannot fathom who leaves the five star reviews. Positive point - the waiter was very friendly. No English but that's normal. No menu, no prices. Food - so so, passable. Prices (once the bill comes!) - pretty high. Clearly the restaurants around here feel they are a monopoly and can charge whatever they like. For two salads (small, predominantly celery + some dried fish roe) and 2 mains, no alcohol, we paid 60 euro.

The atmosphere is cosy and the owner is such a fun and welcoming guy – he really added to the experience with his energy and humour! 😄 One night we managed to get a table outside (despite some hesitation from staff who thought it was “too cold” – it was August and still super warm for us Central Europeans! ☀️). The sea view is magical, especially as the sun sets over the coast 🌅. Definitely worth visiting if you’re nearby – good food, relaxed vibe, and great people.

Terrible food awkward service.. had spaghetti carbonara could not eat it as it was literally scrambled eggs with pasta and some pork fat that was pure gristle! Dry bread was all I could eat.. waited at least 30 mins for water.. I told waitress how bad food was and she brought bill with full price, I said not paying and left money for water..
