A wonderful place with a cozy atmosphere and warm service. The food was prepared with great care and beautifully presented – the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the meat with wine sauce was perfectly cooked and tender. The house wine was an excellent complement to the meal. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, a welcoming setting, and attention to detail.

We walked to the restaurant from Baunei, it's ok to do with phone torches in the evening. It's a lovely atmosphere but we were quite disappointed with the food. We had the prawn (which was ok), and the beef which was really (really) chewy. For the price and the "poshness" of the restaurant this was a surprise. But what we've learned is not to order meat in the area. The service wasn't great as they never checked on us, but I think I'll put it down to the language barrier. The only thing we really enjoyed was the tiramisu which actually was lovely. The views from the place are great so I would recommend checking other reviews for what food to order.

Pisaneddu is an absolute gem! We came back several times during our vacation—and each visit was a treat. The setting is beautiful, with a spacious terrace offering tables that overlook a truly breathtaking panorama. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal while soaking in the views. The service is warm, attentive, and professional, making you feel genuinely welcomed. The menu offers a great variety of fish dishes, all tasty and elegantly presented with attention to detail. Every plate reflects a passion for quality and Sardinian culinary traditions. We also loved the selection of local wines, carefully chosen to pair with the dishes. A place where setting, service, and cuisine come together perfectly. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the area!

We walked to the restaurant for dinner from Baunei. The view of the mountains was beautiful. However, we were quite disappointed with the service. The waitstaff never checked on us, and the service was very slow—our dishes took a long time to arrive, even from Primo to Secondo piatto. The food was okay, but the portion sizes were inadequate. I would recommend ordering the pizza because it is reasonably priced and doesn't take as long to prepare.

During the high summer make a reservation otherwise you will be seating next to the pizza over( just like me). You will burn your calories right there 🤣🤣🤣 No AC indoors. We had the seafood salad, spaghetti with buttarga and culurgione, house wine, they all amazing ! Waiting for our food, it looks like the pizza is a must to try also.

I’m spending my summer holidays in Baunei since 2009. This is my favorite restaurant in Baunei. Every time I’m here I have dinner at Pisaneddu almost every night. Food is very good, price vs quality is very good and the service is excellent. They serve real typical Sardenha’s food and the pizzas are very, very good, my favorite pizzas in the world.

This is an experience and not just a restaurant and is Unesco recognised with a price. The food is sublime and the owners are very humble and very passionate about the place. You have to go there ....no words can describe this unique place.

What an experience! Amazing food for a ridiculously low price. But be aware and definitely bring a lot of space in your belly. It’s basically 13 courses/dishes. Don’t drive there on your own unless you have a Jeep. Reservation only with a lot of time in advance!

The most authentic Sardegnian Agriturismo so far on this lovely island. Delightful food, wonderful location, fantastic hospitality, unforgettable experience. We had the best time in this restaurant, it’s fairly difficult to get to (would recommend asking for directions as you book via WhatsApp with them cause Google Maps are not giving the rights directions). The atmosphere is truly one of a kind, food is extremely tasty and you get so much food throughout the evening! Staff is sweet and helpful.

Only the amazing architecture and llocation worth a visit already. Uniquely twisted local woods create a mysterious and whimsical atmosphere. Reserve in advance. Small eaters and vegetarians should skip it. And its excellent delicious appetizers have completely filled me up already...a very memorable and delicious dinner that will never be forgotten.

I didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on the food I’m sure it’s good but I feel the need to write this review. Even though I called several times in advance, nobody ever answered. We drove all the way there on an extremely difficult, unpaved road, only to arrive and find that everything was already fully booked. They tried to let us sit at a table but without serving us the full menu, which I didn’t find fair, especially since we had tried to call ahead. Overall, it felt rather exclusive and not very welcoming to tourists.

Great local spot. We came here twice and enjoyed super tasty pasta, pizza and drinks. It also has an unbelievable view.

Food was really bad. Melanzane was extremely dry deep fried something. Not real melanzane... Main dishes where ok but tastless. Again eggplant was dead or something else it should be. Sad feeling when people dont have hard with them and cooking this kind of sh...t. recommend to go somewhere else. Place it self and terrace was nice

It's a nice restaurant at a small mountain town of Baunei. I visited it during lunch time while driving past the town. Ne aware that during lunchtime the food options are limited. Neighbours at the next table wanted to order pizzas, but they are served only for dinner. I had a local dish Colurgiones (pasta with cheese and potatoes inside) and it was very delicious. I also opted in for their lemon ice-cream based dessert and it was also tasty. It's a nice place to visit if you're staying in or passing Baunei. Thanks!

Great value and food! My wife and I ordered a pizza, pasta, two glasses of wine and were not disappointed. The food tastes great, very reasonably priced and the view at the top of the roof was stunning. This isn't a formal restaurant, but a nice local spot to have some local food. Highly recommend.

It's quite sad that I have to give such a bad Review to a place where I really appreciate the food... 😔 we went there the both nights that we overnighted in Baunei, the first evening was so good and also the Team so welcoming and deligent that we decided to come back, even if we we're recommend to try another place. Never mind, food here is amazing, totally worthy, price also totally fair! The Service, as I said, the night of the 15th was quite good, fast and we really appreciate it. The 16th of September 2023 it was a totally disaster, it took us close to 3 hours to end our dinner, because, at least 2 hours were for delivery of service, I wanted 25 minutes just for my dessert, a tiramisu (it was amazing by the way) and even in the beginning, after sitting and kindly asking for it, it took 15 or 20 minutes so that someone would serve us the water. Meanwhile, not a sorry or a polite smile... the youngs were even arrogant, its such a pitty!! 😄😄😄 Also, after the answer of the restaurant, emotionally attached and quite unprofessional, I don't think that it was possible to say whatever it was when the team was already so unfriendly and distant. I can totally understand when a place is overcrowded or also when something goes not so well in the kitchen, but it's part of the service of the waitress to speak with the guests and explain the situation!!! By the way, "Thank you" is an expression that I use from the beginning until the end, even if the service doesn't go as I wished 😉 I believe that we should always show empathy but sometimes enough ist enough. And, as I said, it was really a shame that it ended with a bad impression. Wish you all the best and hope you can really improve.

Great place, great food, great service! During our stay in Baunei, we ate here 3 times and really enjoyed the starters, pizza and pasta (especially the truffle pasta). Prices are also very reasonable and the atmosphere on the rooftop is really lovely. There is not that much staff so don’t expect a really fast service, but we didn’t mind with the nice view and atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Honestly not the best food. We tried the local gnocchis but the portion was very small and the taste not that indredible. Not worth the price overall. The view over the mountains however is gorgeous and you must book in advance if you want a good spot.

Wonderful - after a jaw dropping drive through the beautiful mountains this amazing town pops up for lunch with an incredible view. I will never forget this lunch and easily could have eaten two bowls of their spaghetti it was THAT GOOD!!

Lovely local restaurant with a beautiful view across the valley and towards the sea. They have a great menu of typical Sardinian dishes and local craft beers made in the town. The service is also warm and helpful ! We will back!

After a difficult hike to Cala Goloritzé, we were starved. Found this restaurant in Baunei. Efficient and accommodating waitress. Good food for us foreigners.

Amazing place to have dinner in Santa Maria Navarrese! This restaurant mainly focuses on meat dishes and offers a great selection of grilled, roasted and stewed meats which highlight local cuisine! It also offers a large selection of pizzas! 🍕 Worth noting their collaboration with the bar just across the street - which brings them an amazing selection of wines, cocktails and digestivo. 🍷🍹 The service is excellent and friendly. The only problem is a few wasps on the open terrace which are quite unpleasant especially when you have allergies. Overall, a nice place to experience local cuisine and spend a nice evening out! We went twice and can definitely recommend!

Without a reservation, getting a good table on the terrace is tricky, so we were seated indoors. The place was bustling and full of energy. The food was delicious, and the staff, though very busy, were friendly and attentive. We had to wait a little while for the first appetizers, but they were definitely worth the wait.

Food was average. Service kinda unfriendly and didn't pay attention (you have to wave at least twice...) The beef steak is more like 150g (not 350g) if you remove the fat and the bone. The culurgiones were rather tasteless. Tiramisu was nice

We were disappointed by the food here. It was recommended to us but there are better places to eat in the area. I had the steak which was so fatty I had to send it back and in all fairness to the staff they offered me an alternative quickly - unfortunately the alternative was bland meatballs. My wife had a pizza that wasn't great at all - I'm not sure how you can wrong with pizza in Italy but unfortunately they did. We have travelled to lots of places in Italy and the food standards were not great, especially for the price. The restaurant itself is nice and staff were attentive and friendly. I ordered a gin on its own but still got charged for a gin and tonic 10 euros! It was cheaper for a negroni which is 3 drinks in 1!

We had dublings ragu, gnocchi ragu, ravioli, and misto from the appetisers, and also a very tasty red wine! Everything was delicious! 🤤😋 We highly recommend! 💯🔥 *The restaurant was so unique and beautiful made of stone and woods! 😍

Amazing restaurant with a nice view over the hills of Baunei. Big variety of local cuisine meat orientated. They are famous for the goat and pork roast even though we were more amazed by the first pasta dishes.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Golgo a number of times over the last 8 years. It’s always a highlight of my visit to Baunei. The food is excellent as is the selection of wine. The service and attention to detail from Gianlucca and his team is both welcoming and meticulous. Baunei and the Golgo Plateau is a magical place, having dinner on the restaurant terrace watching the light fade over the ancient juniper covered mountains is an experience that will stay with you.

Very disappointing – overpriced and poor quality I recently ate here and was really let down. The steak was supposed to be 400 grams but looked more like 250 grams. I asked for it to be cooked medium, but it came out well done and overcooked. For the high price, the quality of the food was terrible. To make things worse, we were charged for bread for four people, even though we only ate one piece. It felt like they were just trying to overcharge us. Overall, the food was not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Toma Restaurant is a seafood restaurant located in the marina of Santa Maria Navarrese, a small town on the eastern coast. It is overlooking the marina and the terrace offers a great view. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Toma Restaurant, and I was not convinced by the ordered dishes . I started my meal with the spaghetti alle vongole, which was perfectly cooked and had a generous amount of fresh clams. For my main course, I had the grilled sea bass, which was moist and flaky, and came with a delicious lemon sauce. I finished my meal with the tiramisu, which was light and creamy. The service at Toma Restaurant was nice. Our waiter was helpful to change table from the terrace to inside. Unfortunately, strong winds prevented us to sit outside and have a decent dinner. Overall, I had a medium experience at Toma Restaurant. The food was lacking punch and it gave us the feeling of many frozen products. Compared to other restaurants we have been it was not convincing.. The service was nice. . I would recommend this restaurant to people visiting Santa Maria Navarrese and want to have a beautiful view and spend a romantic evening. Here are some tips for your visit to Toma Restaurant: Book your reservation in advance, especially during peak season. It’s always disappointing to see a place with so much potential fall short, especially in such a stunning location. The view here is one of the best I’ve seen in Sardinia, but unfortunately, the food and service were well below expectations. To start, even the most basic elements of Italian dining were missing—no olive oil, vinegar, salt, or pepper on the table. Everywhere else we’ve been, these were standard and didn’t require asking. We were then served a stale, unpleasant pineapple juice that should never have been offered to guests. It was clearly past its prime. As for the food, it was a major letdown. The quality did not match the prices at all. For €22, a seafood dish should feature fresh, high-quality ingredients. Instead, it seemed like it was made from leftovers. The shrimp, in particular, were inedible. The service, while provided by seemingly eager staff, lacked attention to detail. They would forget requests moments after leaving the table, and overall, it just felt disorganized and unprofessional. For the prices being charged, the experience should be far better. Sadly, both the food and the service were highly disappointing.

Firstly we were impressed by location and views. So we went in and was unsure if we wanted meals or just drinks so they didn’t allow us to go to the floor with the views but only lower deck. There were 4 young girls (waitresses) and we got menu and nothing else happened within ten minutes even no one else was on the deck but us. After that like it wasn’t enough being ignored someone spoiled drink on upper deck and it came right on me through the wooden floor so with just like just I had no drinks no views nothing just destroyed shirt. Food is quite good, have attached recent menus as there’s been a slight change since the previous ones were uploaded. The evening we were here it was quiet but the service was extremely slow. Incorrect drink orders came out twice. We sat down at 19:30 for2 main, 4 drinks, and 1 dessert and we eventually got the bill after asking twice and left at 21:40. This was despite 3 waitresses working the balcony.

We didn’t have a booking and they accepted us. The food was amazing, it was one of our favourite places we visited in Sardinia. Prices were good as well, much what you would expect for a peak times in a touristy area but the food was great so no complaints! I had the spaghetti ai frutti di mare and my fiancé had the ravioli and we shared an fritto misto- and all were great. Would definitely recommend ❤️

Small portion for almost 15-20€/portion. Good steak but low quality of seafood preparation. We tried insalata di mare but was tasteless and the fritto misto hard to eat(shrimps not peeled). We paid 65€ and we left the restaurant hungry.

Very nice just nice, better than my expectations. The food was great! We picked the spaghetti vongule, the Sarda traditional pasta, and the grilled fish mix plate and fries. They really delivered!

A nice place with a romantic view, but unfortunately the atmosphere in the restaurant itself reminded me of a cheap canteen with unsmiling and uninteresting staff. The music playing was not pleasant for a restaurant, and you couldn't relax. I liked the primi but the secondi with pasta were not pleasant to eat, they reminded me of vomit on a plate. They need to find a good chef absolutely!

TL light, it still exists. The place has no atmosphere at all, 70’s and 80’s or a popular mix, Lady Gaga, music? We are in Italy for crying out loud! The food is average, mumsy, moving in to the bad. The fresh pasta with sea food contained very little proteins, the prawns were cooked to mash. The tiny mussels and a small mini lobster, also cooked to mash. People vaping, it’s all very mediocre. Would not come here again. No personal touch. We could not sit where we wanted. We weren’t asked if we wanted to drink anything else. All in all, not good. For the price, in Crete, I could have gotten a table full of food, well cooked, well seasoned and served with a smile, until november. Serve fresh, local products and get your chef to follow some modern techniques of contemporary cooking. If this is traditional Sardinian cooking, it’s no reason to return. Food on the Alghero side of the island tasted way better.

Our dinner at Pedra Longa was so disappointing. Starting with the food, the caprese salad was ridiculous, the raviolis were only 5 pieces, the seafood pasta didn’t have good quality ingredients and the tomato sauce was so bland. Overall it was way too overpriced for dishes that you can perfectly make a thousand times better at home, and the service was nothing special either. This is with no doubt a tourist trap, we ate fantastic meals for half the price in other places. So if you’re reading this don’t waste your time and money going there. Ciao forever!

Wow! Could this be heaven? This restaurant sits atop of the Pedra Longa bay, so plan to have a swim by the rocks then work up the hunger for lunch. Excellent food, service and view. Very good value for the location. Tell your friends! (Or don’t, as there are no tourists and it’s better this way).

The view from this location is quite pleasant. Upon our arrival shortly before 3:00 PM, we discovered that the kitchen had already closed. This differs from the hours displayed on Google, though they are still preparing panini.

Came here on Easter Monday. They didn’t open until 19:00, even though Google Maps said they’re open all day. The squid ink pasta was amazing. The flavor was well balanced; neither too bland nor too salty. The potato dumplings were very soft and tasty, but a mit more sauce would have been nice. The pizza with the eggplant was a tad saltier than I would have liked. The tiramisu was probably the best I’ve had in this area. The folks here are also super nice and friendly.

A family run business for 51 years- you know it’s going to be delicious. We met the owner, the son prepared and cooked our pizza and our server, Eleonora was a gem! We started off our evening on the bar side before moving to the dining area. The pizza and pasta were both amazing. The tiramisu and fried sweet ravioli with honey is a must try!

A truly wonderful family-run restaurant serving genuinely excellent food. It was so good that we went back three nights in a row – far better than the other restaurants in Santa Maria Navarrese. Highly recommended for evening drinks and meals. The service was genuinely kind and helpful, the food mouth-watering, and the prices very reasonable. Our only regret was not being able to return for a fourth night!

The risotto with scampi is really really bad. The risotto is no risotto, just regular rice and the scampis didn't contain ANY meat at all, it was 95% just the shell.... The seasonal vegetables - which i thought would be a plate of a variety of vegetables - was just a full plate of tasteless kale. no seasoning. it was the most bland vegetable i have ever had in a restaurant. After 10 days on the island and eating out every day, this is unfortunately the worst food we've had.

What a great bar! My fiancé and I went here every afternoon for drinks after coming back from the beach. The wait staff were so friendly and service was very quick! Such a fun environment and drinks were well priced. Beautiful and quiet little spot watching the ocean. Highly recommend.

We decided to stop here to have dinner after reading some reviews. Me and my friends ate outside and tasted the cheese, the cold cuts (I think it was a very very small portion) as a starter, then we continued with a first courses: fregola, culurgiones, zichi and ravioli. Lastly we opted for a dessert. I personally tried the sorbetto with mirto, but I would not recommend it, the best one was the tiramisu! The view was nice

The worst service we had during our entire trip in Sardinia. It took an hour to place our order after repeatedly asking to be attended to. We sat at 9pm. We asked for food menus after 20 minutes as they were not brought to us. 20 minutes later we had to flag down a waiter. They told us their system was down. We said it was okay; however, we kept seeing other tables get their order taken after the fact and new tables get wine / bread served to them. After an hour, we had to flag down a waiter - who had to get his colleague over to finally take our order. Honestly - some of the worst service I’ve had in awhile. It completely ruined our entire evening. Would not recommend. Usually we’d be quite sympathetic to any kitchen issues; however, we were completely ignored while other tables were served and had to beg people for answers. There was no reason not to be spoken to or served for almost an hour. Overall, there are better places with better food and better service in the area.

This was our favourite restaurant on our trip in Sardinia. We like experiencing local culture and food and this place was outstanding. Octopus to start with followed by three types of local pasta dishes. All was delicious and we would love to be back soon

Best restuarant in Santa Maria Navaresse. A slightly pricier option (€50 per head for 2-3 courses and wine) but worth it for the superior quality of the food and service. I'd recommend trying the culurgiones - a local Sardinian dish of filled pasta

I think it is a bit harsh for the overall 3.1 star reviews. I was concerned with the low rating reviews but decided to give it a go. The food is actually quite good. I can see why some people have issues with the waitress. I think that’s just her character and she does speak quite abruptly, but I think she meant no harm and wasn’t there to be rude. The other waiters were ok. Food 8/10, service 6/10, ambience 7/10, value for money 8/10.

We waited 30 minutes but no one took our order so we left without eating. The waitress seemed to be annoyed by us since we are not able to speak Italian. I recommend going to other restaurants nearby, they are very friendly and the food is awesome. However the dishes on the other tables looked quite nice while we were waiting.

Out of all the reviews this will be the most honest one you read: We arrived to the restaurant and asked if they had room for 2. The gentleman was very kind and sat us down at an available table. It took us 30 minutes for them to ask if we even wanted anything to drink. We asked for water and had to wait another 15 minutes to order Our antipasto took 20 minutes to arrive, followed by our first and second plate much later on. The food is good. We ordered pasta for our first plate (a nice tomato sauce and good portion of pasta) and for our second plate we had a steak. Both we enjoyed The service from a certain hostess + the unreasonably long wait time ruined the experience for us. If you’re hungry and don’t want to wait too long, head elsewhere

Not sure what the bad reviews for this place is about? The food was probably the best we’ve had since we’ve been in Sardinia. I’m half Italian so I’m at very picky when it comes to Italian food and this place did not disappoint. We ordered a fried mixed fish platter but everything was overcooked, and it tasted really bad. The waitress accidentally spilled half of my beer all over the table — which can happen and that’s fine — but then she just wiped it off the table with a napkin and left it like that. So we ended up eating on a soaking wet table, and she didn’t even bring us a new beer to replace the one she spilled. We also had an infant with us, who ate from our food. On the bill we noticed that they actually charged €3 for a place setting for the infant.

Nestled in the charming town of Santa Maria Navarrese, Sa Cadrea could potentially offer a delightful dining experience with breathtaking views of the sea. Here’s what stood out during our visit: Grigliata Mista di Mare: The seafood grill was a good choice 👍Freshly prepared and with sea flavors, it featured an array of delights from the sea. The combination of grilled fish, calamari, and prawns left us craving more. The presentation on the long plate was nice. I was however disappointed as the neighbour table who ordered the same dish had a tentacle arm more on the plate. I felt like being tourist trapped. A pity 😒 Service: While the service was generally pleasant, we did encounter a rough welcome. We were in time and we have asked for a specific table which wasn't given to us. We have received a table just underneath a soundspeaker with some non in the atmosphere fitting loud music. The staff was later friendly and professional. Ambiance: Our table was unfortunately placed below a music loudspeaker, which disrupted the otherwise serene atmosphere. The crashing waves and gentle breeze were the real stars of the show, though but we have just enjoyed a fast unpleasant music beat 🎶 View: The panoramic view of the calm sea was simply gorgeous. As the sun dipped below in the west, the terrace was already in the shade at 19h but the water of the sea blended seamlessly with the sky, creating a beautiful moment. In summary, Sa Cadrea offers good food, a lovely setting, and a few minor hiccups. If you’re willing to overlook the somehow cold atmosphere of the setting and a non customer compliant behaviour it might worth a visit. I must say for my part that we planned to spend more money at the place but due to the behaviour we limit our dishes and champagne choice to the minimum and left of course no tip, sorry 🙏 🌊🍽️

We had some yummy pizzas and drinks and enjoyed the lovely view. The service we received was excellent and the waitress also spoke some English. I would highly recommend it. The price was very reasonable.

Excellent authentic Italian restaurant (at least for a tourist!). The small town is a delight, described to me by a local as unique - beautiful small beach town, big park in the middle for little ones, tower on the rocks, and many smiley faces. However, despite numerous restaurants many are not rated very well, and those were virtually empty. We aimed to go to another place but their kitchen was closed. They recommended another place but the menu was more Catalan than Italian (which is fine, but my kids didn't fancy a goat stew) so we aimed for Carreras - a delight. Small and well managed - the menu has a small selection of everything you could want in traditional Italian layout. We had pastas and fish and all dishes were cooked incredibly well, they also de-boned the whole seabass which was a nice touch. Desserts and drinks are also great, very fair prices €10-16 per main meal. Would definitely return.

We did Via Ferrata with Antonio and Francesco. They have a lot of interesting local knowledge and the history of the land. We had the most fantastic time. Beautiful location! It took an hour drive in 4x4, around an hour approach and around 4 hours on via Ferrara. Some amazing abseils including 55 meters drop.All this with the views of the picturesque coast. We’ve ended the day with a swim in the sea! We started at 8am and finished at 6pm. I would highly recommend to anyone who is physically fit and have head for heights!

lovely place in the middle of the mountains. attention from Franceso and Delfina were great. they helped us in every way possible to make our stay at the camping 10/10. the toilets were clean all the time and showers worked perfectly. camping sites were lovey between the trees. they have a bar and restaurant that is definitely worth trying! pre order the lamb at the bbq in the afternoon for a late dinner and will not regret!

The location is great, very remote and quiet. The bungalow house was comfortable although very simple. The dinner and lunchpack were very good. The service (reception, restaurant) was superb. Thank you for making our stay so pleasent!

Fabulous remote location in the mountain and very close to the starting point for the hike to Cala Goloritze. The room was very modern and clean and we had a great balcony where we enjoyed drinks from the downstairs bar. Dinner at the restaurant was of excellent quality too. However there were a few set backs, firstly the breakfast was poor in comparison to our other stays in Sardinia (stale bread, a slice of cake and a slice of melon only), it was a bit noisy from staff making noise and slamming doors downstairs at 6am, and finally the staff were not very helpful nor particularly bothered in helping us organise any excursions advertised on their website such as climbing or abseil - perhaps as it was low season. Nonetheless, we found plenty of hikes and activities to do ourselves in Sardinia.

We had lunch here, a quiet spot in what feels like the middle of nowhere. The service was lovely and the food simple but good.

An amazing place. It's very close some great landmarks such as a stone mask carved into the stone and a Nuraghe ruin all less than a 5 minute walk from the place. Great services such as toilets. One of the few places that actually provide toilet paper in the outside toilets for campers. You can sleep in the refuge itself or camp on the outskirts for 15 euros a night per person with a tent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place has alot of wild life and animals just roaming around which is so beautiful. The food here was well priced and excellent as well. I will return. It's a great place to start hikes of all kinds from and the also provide a shuttle service to the sites in the area.

I wish I could put this experience into a few words. This Restaurant 15mins away from Baunei, located at a wine farm, is by far the best Restaurant we have been to in our entire lives. From the ambience, the lights, the accomodating service, the cute little bakery and ofcourse - the excellent food. The Culurgiones and Pizza were amazing, the wines exquisite and the desserts as well. We were sad when the night was over. We can warmly recommend this restaurant to everyone who is looking for the most idyllic and authentic experience in Sardinia!!! 100/10

Went without reservation on peak season and we were told the main dishes wouldn’t be available ( meats - only by reservation) , but we could get antipasti and first dishes ( pastas ) Ordered gnocchi, 3 out of 5. In the end we were able to order some of the meat, which was ok . The restaurant was very full , but the service was good, very friendly staff, it was a lovely place, in a beautiful garden and good lighting. Good local wine. Night turned out lovely, but food was under expectations.

Pros: 1)They respond very quickly in WhatsApp. Excellent communication and polite. 2)Big Free parking available. 3)Beautiful atmosphere with all the lights outside 4)Good amount of Vegetarian options. 5)In general the food products used, tasted fresh and great quality. 5)Staff in general efficient. 6)Good portion size. Cons: Tiny things, easily can be corrected. 1)No idea that day we were unlucky, our pizza took forever to come. 2)I will they had some of small basket under the table as I did not want to put my bag on the ground. 3)Table for 2 people a little tiny as when all our food came, we struggled to have space. Excellent dining option for a romantic date night in Sardinia. Car needed for sure to reach this place. Keep in mind, the road leading to this restaurant, is very dark. Drive carefully.

Had a weird experience here to say the least. We booked as a couple in advance by a few days over the phone which was all straightforward. We arrived at opening for 7pm in the offseason. On arrival there was one other table occupied and an empty restaurant. We were seated toward the back away from the windows and next to the toilets. We asked of we could sit by the windows and were told it was no possible. We were given a drinks menu and then both tables then waited for 15 minutes or so before someone came to take a drinks order. The waiter asked if we knew our food order and we advised we weren’t given menus. They then pointed out the small QR code on a decorative item on the table. A couple then came in and advised they did not have a reservation. They were promptly sat by the window. This was pretty annoying to watch for us. The food was ok. For the price I would have expected larger portions and better quality. I’ve had better pizza nearby on the coast and the fried starter was quite poor. The mixed grill was nice but for €20 I would have expected a sauce or veg with it. The plate was just 4 pieces of meat with 2 tomatoes and raw leaves without dressing. Before the meal they brought out bread which we didnt order. We assumed it was free. We had left some in the basket after our appetiser and the waiter took it away. He then brought another full one with the mains. At the end of the dinner we had been charged for 2 breads, neither of which we asked for. I was a bit disappointed as the setting is beautiful but poor service and a lack of care for customers really showed. We may have had an off night but we felt very let down by the end of the meal

We felt mistreated by the manager, although the weatresses were all kind and careful. Food itself was not what we expected, especially the starters and the grilled goath. Not a good experience overall.

Beware the WASPS!! This hotel is overrun with wasps and mosquitos. It’s impossible to enjoy the premises without being devoured. The grounds, while otherwise lovely, simply can’t be used at any time of the day or evening. And the interiors of the rooms and main building are poorly designed and boring. They have all of the charm of your standard Hilton Garden Inn. The beach is lovely. But the food is poor and some of the wines appear to have been improperly stored. Even at half the price it’s not worth it.

Can’t even put into words how amazing this resort is—it feels like stepping into a Pinterest-worthy boutique hotel. We were warmly welcomed with drinks and a detailed introduction to everything the property offers: vineyard tours, a private beach, a private terrace with breathtaking ocean views, massages, and more. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the staff incredibly friendly, and both breakfast and dinner absolutely delicious. All in all, this has been by far the best resort experience we’ve had in Sardinia.

We really loved our few nights at Lanthia. In particular we enjoyed the short walk via the tunnel to the beach and the restaurant where we ate breakfast overlooking the pine forest and the sea. The team were very friendly and helpful, the room was modern and we enjoyed our courtyard and we had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. I also had a massage in one of the most relaxing & natural settings of my life - I highly recommend. We were impressed with the amount of sun lounges on the beach. We left feeling fully rejuvenated.

Wonderful hotel in an incredible location. Truly a hidden gem. The pine forests and the beach are both so special. The boat day they arranged was also a highlight. We hope to return!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were very unimpressed due to the price we paid. The level of service, food, amenities, and overall accommodations does not meet the criteria of a 4-star hotel and its nightly rate. The waiter who does mornings was especially notable for our lower rating — he was cold and unaccommodating, making us feel as though we were a nuisance. Be wary that all the plated “American” breakfast they advertise on Instagram is an extra fee and not included, as well. The pool area is quite dilapidated, and the beach “club” was average. There is no sort of attendant or notable food choices either. Even the well-remarked dinner was mediocre. We chose to eat elsewhere every other night of our stay. It is pretty much the only “upscale” hotel in the area, which is why I believe the rate is able to be set so high. Overall, it is clean, safe, and set on beautiful grounds but simply did not meet 4star/$650+ (USD) a night service/amenity expectations.

We stayed at Lanthia Resort for four nights and truly wished we could have stayed longer. In fact, we were really sad when it was time to leave. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful – the architecture, the lush gardens, the inviting pool, and the wonderful pine forest with hammocks and lounges made it a dreamlike place to relax. The private beach is equally stunning, with loungers, SUP boards and snorkeling equipment available. You can swim for long distances in the crystal-clear water – there’s always something to do. The staff is super friendly and chill and we were very happy with the kind service!!!! Massage in the pinewood cabana was also incredible. Breakfast was fantastic, with a very fresh and delicious buffet, fresh juices, delicious pastries plus many à la carte options to order. The only small downside was that some special dishes came with an extra charge (something we found a little unnecessary considering the hotel category and price) but it was by no means a big issue. Our room was lovely, with a small private garden, which we really enjoyed. Just a note for future guests: be mindful when booking the smallest room category, as those are indeed very small (we just booked the cheapest option without reading into it and discovered upon arrival that the room was too small for us). We upgraded and were much happier afterwards. Another highlight is the unique location: Santa Maria Navarrese is the sweetest village with charming restaurants, great gelato, and direct access to nature. 1.5 km away from the hotel starts the breathtaking Pedralonga trail – perfect for a morning trail run or walk with stunning views. At the harbor, you can easily rent boats to explore the wild Costa de Baunei. For us, taking a boat out for two days to discover hidden beaches was the absolute highlight of our entire trip, simply unforgettable. All in all, we were extremely happy and satisfied with our stay. This resort is truly special, and we are certain we will return one day and will recommend it to all of our friends!!! Many thanks to the entire Lanthia team for making our stay so memorable!

Beautiful resort on the amazing Baunei coast. My family and I stayed here last weekend and it was amazing. The service was impeccable. The grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to experience this coast in Sardinia.

Poor service, extremely slow and waiting staff. When asked whether the tagliatelle and prawns were fresh I was told yes. Quite clearly the prawns were frozen, I could tell this from the 3 that we’re given to me. My partner’s pizza was covered in blue cheese, again not what he requested. Do not come here. Not worth the money.

We were eating pizza here today. If you like pizza, do not be disappointed. Only what is not going is ice-cold red wine and olives with stone on the pizza. Since the staff did not understand English, unfortunately the salad did not come as a starter.

Quite rough personnel, not the best choice for food either

We went to a seafood restaurant recently. While I’m usually not the biggest fan of seafood, my wife ordered an octopus dish – and I have to admit, it was really, extremely good. The combination with orange made it light and refreshing, and the texture of the octopus was just perfect. And to top it all off, the view was absolutely astonishing. So, for all couples where one of you is skeptical about seafood: this is definitely a place worth trying.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! The exterior might not look like much, but “inside” you’ll find an exquisite restaurant with a truly stunning view from the terrace. The menu is perfect for seafood lovers, but also offers two meat dishes and two vegetarian pasta options, so there’s something for everyone. We were hesitant at first, but the many glowing reviews convinced us to give it a try — and we’re so glad we did! Absolutely worth a visit.

We booked our first night in advance of us arriving in Baunei and came back the second night as we had enjoyed it so much The view was amazing the service faultless and the food delicious. A highlight of our week and we drove right round the island. We ate lots of lovely food but this place is one of our favourite memories. Thank you Le Radici!

This was our second pizza in the area and it was definitely better than the first (at MeC Puddu’s) and about half the price. The pizzas are thin, the dough was not too salty and the spicy sausage was actually spicy. (The only downside is their tiramisu, which was not that great.) In case you’re coming over the Easter weekend, they’re open on Easter Sunday. In fact, as it’s the beginning of their tourist season this year, they’re only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Unfortunately, I was not so happy with the quality of meal vs. it's price. Not good value for money. However, the taste of the nudle itself was good.

The name of the restaurant needs some immediate help on the marketing level, but it is a nice place to grab a bite in the town center. Amazing fava beans with pancetta, that's their forte. The stewed goat was underwhelming and quite absurdly priced at 18 euros. My first waiter was not in a good mood, the second one was delightful. Lots of wasps while you eat, but that's not their fault. Fast service. Feels almost like a family owned place. Kitchen always open. Eat surrounded by olive trees. Good stuff.

The lasagna and the mellanzana with eggplant were terrific; not too salty, not too bland. This is our third restaurant in the area and we’ve had tiramisu at every one. This one was the best so far.

We had lunch, so maybe the evening menu is better made. The two different primitivo (the only two to choose between) were totally taste less. The absolut worst we have eaten in our week at Sardinia.

Come here if you want to wait for your order for 1.5hrs and watching your partner having his (it arrived 30min earlier in comparison). All of this considering 10min preparation time for pizza they communicated to the other table. We had to remind and ask for my order again, no heads up from the staff. The restaurant was half full. The beef ribs were not good. Pizza was ok but definitely not justifying 1.5hrs they took to prepare it. Never again.

A true Italian experience! All dishes are prepared with love and skill. The waiters speak English, which is very convenient for tourists. The interior with pleasant details creates an authentic atmosphere. Now this is our favorite dinner spot! The only improvement I'd suggest is better air conditioning for hot summer days.

A place with character and authentic Italian charm. The only drawback was the waiting time during our visit - they could use more staff during busy evenings.

Risotto with seafood was not done properly, rise was crusty and 1 stick of crab (at first we didn’t even get a knife to open it, but whatever it was sooo tiny so almost no meat inside, lol), no shrimps only few ostriches. From the menu we didn’t find any information about the restaurant fee only saw it from our recipe (so far it was the biggest in this area - 3 euro per person, on a beach restaurants it was 1-1.5 euro but with a good view). The staff wasn’t friendly, just indifferent. The pure tourist trap, not recommend. 2 stars only because I’m in a good mood and love Sardinia overall, but 1 star is enough. Upd. I took 1 star because our child feeling sick (like a food poisoning) after pasta with goat ragu from this place.

Place by the road. We stopped there after a mountain hiking trip. Great coffee! Unfortunately we didn't order pizza but some huge white rolls with zucchini and eggplant ( I do not recommend it because they are dry and not tasty). The staff was nice, and the place seems good to eat something different next time 😉

We visited the pizzeria for dinner and breakfast. The food was great! The restaurant has a very nice terrace with views to a valley. The staff were very friendly. Good value for money.

The views made up for the pizza. Came in at opening and was told we had to wait 10 more minutes, ordered and the pizza had very little flavor, and pretty much no sauce on it. Service was mediocre. We stopped by a few shops up for some coffee and service was significantly better.

Great Pizza, lovely service and beautiful views summarises Pizzeria San Pietro. We visited the Pizzeria for dinner and had some great Pizzas. They offer close to 50 pizzas and cater to vegetarian diet too. The wine choose was good. Chef "Sebastian" made our pizzas. Ask for him when you come. Highly recommended!!!!

Pizza was okay and the gluten free option was good to see. Severely let down by the really poor service - waiter came across like he didn’t want to be there at all. Very cold manner with his customers. The place had much worse atmosphere than previous Sardinian restaurants we have tried to date. Tv on in background, providing a questionable soundtrack, grumpy waiter and overall just a poor vibe. Maybe it was an off day, but from our brief experience.. Sardinia has much better quality and authenticity to offer

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! you better bring some food with you! we ordered cheese pannini and got a dry bread with only cheese! no vegetables or sauce! the staff probably doesn't know what a pannini should look like!!! I have never experienced this anywhere and it cost €6, water 1l €3.50!

This place make me pay 6 euro for a tea and a EMPTY bread, as vegan I asked just for bread, starving after 28 km of hike. And the boat old man extremely rude. There's more nice places around Sardinia and with more honest people.

Worst place in Italy! Piece of bread cut in half with a slice of cheese was called a panini. What was worse, was an attitude of the staff. Stay away, even if you know this is the only place around...

We were there for a quick lunch during a trip, they had line issues with their pos card machine line, therefore we received, three times, a withdrawal of the amount to pay for the lunch, but, instead of expressing their embarassement for the inconvenience, they were verbally attacking us, being very rude. They also stated that in case the money would have been accidentally withdrawed we shouldn't complain cause the pending expenses would have been returned soon to our bank account. This was not the case, we had to wait for 10 days on one card and even more on the other. They blamed us for the choice of using our International cards. Such line issues on beach sites are totally understandable but they should just notify this and express the necessity they have to accept just cash payments, without being rude. Also the food quality was basic compared to' the extremely elevated price of it.

This must me the worst place to eat in Sardinia. The pasta was cooked to a point that it became rubbery. The fries where definitely cooked 2-3 times and the salad; I cannot describe how was possible to have such a bad taste. I canno’t believe I travelled to Italy to have the worst pasta of my life.

My partner and I came everyday we were here in Baunei. I couldn’t recommend Dispensa 125 more!!! The cheese and cold meats are to die for, Amazing wine and friendly service. Get the panini with sausage it will be the best thing you will ever try in your life ❤️

During our stay we visited dispensa 125 multiple times for aperitive and dinner. The location is very nice especially to catch the evening sun. The service was very welcoming. Trying location local wines and beers together with cheese and meat was a perfect experience.

If you’re staying in Baunei, you’ll end up coming here every day. Local products at good prices, with very friendly staff. A wide variety of Sardinian specialty grocery items, all made with excellent quality ingredients.

Perfect place to try local wines and beers of great quality. Cozy atmosphere in the main square of Baunei with warm lighting and jazzy music. Outstanding service and delicious platters of local cheeses, cold cuts, marmalade, and honey. We came several times and everything was just right every time. Outshines by far all the other places in town!

Came here based on recommendations and great reviews, but the waitress was very rude. As first-time visitors unsure of what to order, we were met with a menu shoved at us and an even worse attitude when I asked for a vegetarian option. I understand it might be tiring to deal with tourists all day, but the least that she could have done was be polite and suggest something without being so unfriendly.

Not the best, not the worst. Maybe one of the better options for that part of the island, but not the best pizza you’ll have in Italy. Tried to eat there, but they basically said they were full so we couldn’t. We did order for takeaway. If you want to eat there, try to make a reservation. I’m a tough critic when it comes to pizza. I’ve had great pizza in many different countries and in many different styles. This just didn’t hit the craving like I hoped it would. But like I said, it’s not the worst. Also - the fries look very unappealing but were surprisingly very good. Probably the silver lining in all of this. The sausage was unappealing and sadly, so was the taste.

Gluten-free pizza was really bad, possibly the worst i had so far in Italy. Could be that the normal pizza is fine though Very slow service since they are understaffed. Waited 50min from seating to food served

Rita was an amazing host- attentive and engaging. We enjoyed a caprese salad, fries and 2 pizzas. Fresh, hot & delicious. Reservations recommended!

Tasty, well priced pizza. If you’re staying in the town this is worth a visit. We were staying around the corner from it and went twice. It seemed pretty busy every night during the offseason when we went. You can walk in but spaces are limited so you’re best off booking in advance or getting a takeaway

Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Pizza tasted great. I chose from House pizza options and it didn’t disappoint. Other options were great as well. We will return.

From outside the place might look unimpressive but we had the best food we tried in Baunei here! Literally everything we tried was super fresh and tasted amazing. They have super tasty seafood salads, amazing pizette, Culurgiones, and don't miss out on the Carbonara di mare! If we had discoverd this place a bit earlier we might have come every day! :D Super convenient also with the take away since our holiday apartment was just 1 minute away. The prices are absolutely fair and affordable for the high quality they provide. We payed 34€ for a nice portion of seafood salad, a fried Margherita Calzone, Carbonara di Mare and the Culurgiones.

The Classico sandwich here is to die for after a hike…. So good we had to come back! We got 3 sandwiches on our way to the national park, two cold ones for the bag and a hot one as a snack between 2. Great spot to come before or after your hike!

We wish we had come here sooner but once we found it, we returned several times. There was one guy in there every time and his work ethic was amazing. We placed a fairly big order every time and he did it all by himself, surprisingly quickly! If you’re going out on the boat for a day, you have to stop here. You can order lunch at any time of the day so if you are there for breakfast time, you can get that plus pack something for later on the water. The pasta is fresh and so flavorful. The cappuccino was delicious every single time. The sandwiches are out of this world. Seriously all of the food was incredible and I can’t say enough great things!!! We ordered lunch takeaway on our last day in town so we could have food for our road trip and everything was still good, hours later, at room temperature. This is the best takeaway food you can get!

Other restaurants in the village have larger menus and fancier locations, this place serves excellent traditional Italian food in what looks like a snack bar. It may be a hidden gem in S Maria Navarrese. We enjoyed starters with a rich mix of meat and seafood. Even oysters were included👌. We also tried traditional pasta. All in all, it was better than we got from most of the other places in the village.

Ordered the seafood pasta but all the clam shells were empty and no clams in pasta either, would have preferred more mussels than empty shells but the pasta itself was ok

When in Ogliastra a visit to Hera Lubra is a must!!!! In a idyllic location close to the little port and the querky town centre, this family run restaurant is the perfect mix between tradition and innovation. Delicious food served with a twist! Must try the black goddess the Sebadas!

We had two nice gourmet burgers here. The menu is small but with good basics - burgers, salads etc. Awesome views! Only complaint was the bacon on my burger was rustic and had hard bits in it.

This place is really cool. A nice modern place in the village of Baunei. The seating across the road has amazing views, but likewise inside is also a really nice place to sit. The waitresses were really friendly and spoke very very good English. Choice of food was good. The food itself was good, but I feel they could do better quality on a couple of things, but for the price you pay, it's very good value. The atmosphere was really cool, playing some really cool music. The kind of place you could come back to over and over again.

Excellent burgers, fries and poke bowls. A lovely setting with outdoor tables overlooking the amazing views. The service was outstanding and there was a good selection of local beers and Sardinian wine. After a long hike in the morning this is exactly what we needed!

We went to Garage Bistrot to get a drink at our arrival in Baunei and ended up having an amazing experience! We got some mixed snacks with our drinks which was a pleasent surprise but what really blew our minds were the burgers we spontaneously ordered. Might have been the best we ever had, the patties and buns were excellent and the burger also came with delicious fries! The local brewed beer is also worth trying. Aaand last but not least, the sunset view over the mountains and sea is the star on top of everything else. Definitely should visit if you get to Baunei and need a change from pizza and seafood!
