Best culinary experience ever. All courses 10/10 we were expecting something less tasty in abeyance new plate but it was just getting better. THIS IS THE BEST restaurant in the city! Enjoy!

Delicious food and a great selection of options from vegetarian to seafood. We ordered 6 half size items but it felt like they were rushing us out. The atmosphere was a bit casual.

Phenomenal. The lunch menu prices are low but the quality is super-high, with the highest standard of presentation. Staff are friendly, location is fantastic and the restaurant is kept clean. Unbeatable. No wonder there are queues to get in.

If you visit Tui for one day, you should eat here. It cannot go wrong. The location is perfect next to the old church in the heart of the city. Locals eat here as well. Nice choice of wine and friendly personnel.

We had dinner there yesterday. They have tables outside in a very nice and quiet terrace with nice ambience. The food was amazing, we ordered zamboriñas, choquitos, t-bone steak, cheesecake and apple crumble. All of it super delicious. We’ll be back!

The service is chaotic. We waited for 20 minutes just to take the order. But then they cooked the meal quickly. Waiters English is horrible to the point of none. The meals were served in random order and delays. Meals are small and expensive, so don’t visit this place if you hungry. It was a stressful experience.

Amazing “menu” for €13,50. Empanadas, salad, beans etc for starters, chipirones, hamburger, entrecote etc for mains. Plus desserts. Beer or wine included. Great setting near the cathedral. Excellent and friendly service! Definitely worth a detour. Visit the cathedral (!) next door.

Our travel advisor insisted fresh seafood was a must in A Guarda, and our hotel recommended Marisquería Riveiriña. They were spot on! The Parrillada de Marisco y Pescado was a revelation - overflowing with perfectly cooked lobster, prawns, scallops, and sea bass. Each bite was pure delight. We also savored the Pulpo a Feira and Pimentos de Padron, both fantastic. Special thanks to Gerald, whose attentiveness and warm service made the entire experience top-notch. We highly recommend Marisquería Riveiriña (or otherwise known as Restaurante Riveirina)

Restaurant was almost empty. Food was ok. The fried calamaris was mushy and soft. Not really nice. The paella 🥘 was okish. Flavourful but nothing I would say it’s wow. Paella was for 30€ 2 person. Amount was fair and we couldn’t finish it. Glas wine 3€, 1,5l water for 2€ it’s very fair.

A wonderful lunch with friends here. The quality of seafood is no doubt and the ingredients are carefully cooked to be served in great taste, pair with fresh and crisp white wine added more flavours is another recommendation.

What an amazing surprise... perhaps the best calamares I've ever had, sea food and fish as fresh as can be, no hurries, very professional service and that cheesecake in the end?!... oh, my God... a piece of heaven! A special word for Alex, the brasilen waiter, that made everything perfect!

Exceptional seafood at reasonable price. Simple setting, very low-key with friendly service, good food and interesting wine list. A great option by the sea, the menu is almost exclusively made of seafood. Parrillada and Mariscada are the most popular options (seafood plate). The scallops were simply delicious. The wine list is surprisingly extensive and covers mostly wine from the region - Rias Baixas.

I’ve ordered 1/2 plate of “PULPO”, then I decided to order another half. My friend ordered whole portion of “PULPO”. My friend paid 19,5 euros, but I paid 33 euros. It’s not right! Portions were very small.

We were from NL. Explained what we wanted (just a beer and a wine). Service ignored us (we were well dressed). People who got there after us were served. Asked two times, walked out. Horrible customer service! Only give 1 star because I can't give 0.

We travel to this area every year for a business exhibition in Vigo. For the last 3 years we have hoteled in Tui. The Rest. El Molino we have always found excellent in atmosphere and service. The Grandmother and mother control an excellent kitchen with the daughter Laura front of house. We are specialist seafood people and the experience we have had with seafood at Rest. Molino has been excellent. It is certainly roccomrnded.

Just went here for a little bit of tour and ended up eating here....maybe its a well known restaurant thats why we needed to wait for a longer time but the food is worth the wait (so tasty---we will be back for sure) Bacalao...gambas...merluza.... chuleta

You'd be forgiven for thinking that it was some kind of community centre when you first look inside but don't let that put you off, the food is exceptional. We're in the habit of filling up on the set menu for lunch - three course incl. wine for € 10 (you can find cheaper but it won't be as good by a long way) - and just snacking in the evening. The starters are a meal in themselves and desserts can even be inventive. Excellent meat and fish main courses.

One of the funniest evening's we had in Spain. Local recommendation. Super food, even though we didn't speak spanish we managed to order via a picture book. And we weren't disappointed..very delicious.

We sat at the table for two by the window next to the Camino de Santiago de Compostela as it approaches Tui cathedral from the south. Our view was of a Cathedral tower. Our server was amazingly warm and welcoming though she spoke no English and we spoke only a few phrases of Espagnol. We ordered a chicken brochette and grilled tuna. Both were delicious and came with an amazingly fresh beefsteak tomato and green salad and fried potatoes. She brought us a huge bottle of water and an order of bread with our Avarino white wine. Everything was delicious-super fresh and grilled to perfection. You may find food for less away from the Cathedral and the Camino, but you cannot match the quality and warm hospitality. They also stamp pilgrim credentials and gifted us a small scallop shell.

Fantastic welcome from the host on our arrival. Seated and served with menu (English and Spanish). The food was delicious and plentiful. If you are in Tui you must visit this restaurant at least once. Ask for a table at the back of the restaurant to eat with an amazing view.

I was recommended this place by a local, and it was one of the best gastro experiences I’ve had on the camino from Porto! The food was really delicious — chicken is juicy, cooked perfectly, and accompanied by really delicious fries and massive, fresh, juicy tomato salad. The people who served me were super nice as well! The server is super funny and nice. Once I had to pay, they gifted me a beautiful shell that I toom with me. Would recommend to everyone and definitely come back!

Amazing food! I think we ate almost everything on the menu and had repeats of the home made cheese cake. The view is incredible and some of the best food I’ve had in Spain. The pulpo is a must try! The owners are lovely as well.

Ideas Peregrinas is a fantastic spot for pilgrims on the Camino. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged for travelers. The location is excellent—close to the cathedral, restaurants, shops, and other amenities—making it easy to rest and recharge after a long day. A reliable and cozy place that feels like a home away from home.

Didn't stay here but wish I did! Great service and totally laid back in the best kind of way. Hung out here for half a day and had the best time, great coffee and smoothie bowl and friendly accommodating staff who allowed me to leave my bag there while I went to the post office. Suited for pilgrims and travellers alike!

This albergue is a true example of excellence! Very modern and reasonably priced. We had a private room, and it had everything we needed. The bathrooms and toilets were also clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There's a café with great breakfasts and a small shop that sells everything you might need for hiking. We were very happy with our stay and can only recommend this place to other pilgrims!

The staff is extremely bad. Mixing up everything we ordered and has obviously no interest in his job. However the poor kid is not even to blame. He had to do everything for a ton of tables. Food was not good either. The only okay thing was the wine. Without that we should have left immediately. Can not recommend at all.

The worst steak I have ever had in Spain, I ordered fillet and since when was fillet steak on the bone. Maybe they should get someone to recheck the translation of their menu into English.

Myself and my wife spent 3 nights in Baoina and on each occasion ate in Jaqueyvi. The location is splendid, nestled in the middle of the old town. Food was excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful and above all great value for money. We came to Galicia to have a food experience, Jaqueyvi met our expectations.

Ok food, fresh but not prepared tasty . We ate fish (lobina), entrecote and rice with jamon and scallops (which was their recommendation)

I couldn't believe it...we were about to sit in the bar, because there were no tables free, and all of the sudden a couple leaves their table after finishing their food and we rush to get it. We wait for a while for the waiter to come clean the table and acknowledge us because there is no Host service (so you just come in and find yourself a spot, something normal in Spain) And because is a semi-busy night and we are not in a hurry. After 15 minutes waiting without even being greeted I decide to start helping the poor waiter to pick up the plates from our table and organize the a bit. The table was small and it was full of plates and napkins, so my moved was arranging the plates and moving everything dirty from our table to the seat we were originally going to take in the bar (which was still empty because we were in the table by now). WELL! 5 minutes after that, when the waiter decides to come do his job, before greeting us politely and asking us for a drink as you should first things when being a waiter he dares tell us off for clearing up the table for him and putting the plates in the bar. His reason being that maybe someone wanted to sit there (where we moved the plates to). US!!! WE WANTED TO SIT!And we were going to sit in the bar until the table opened up, hence why we cleared it. The plates would have been in one or the other place but he just had to be a smart-ass and come say something without thinking and being just rude. Needless to say before entering a discussion with him about how much he sucks as a waiter and how we just did him a huge favor we stood up and left to never go again... And having said that, the food is nothing special either, I know cause we were there before. You can find some decent wines and cheeses (which is what we wanted) but not much more.

Kids (and adults) can stretch their legs in the garden between courses, making it a relaxed choice for family gatherings. Cons • Limited menu availability. Several dishes were sold out on our visit, reducing choice and forcing us to reorder on the spot. • Inconsistent service rhythm. Courses arrived at uneven intervals and it was difficult to flag staff when we needed something. • Heavy hand with salt. The mixed salad—otherwise fresh—was notably over-seasoned, and a couple of other plates leaned salty too. • Tight table layout. Space between place settings is minimal; larger guests may feel cramped, especially at fully occupied tables. Bottom line Go for the peaceful garden vibe and rustic atmosphere, but manage expectations on menu availability and ask the kitchen to go light on salt if you’re sensitive. I’d return for the setting, though I might call ahead to confirm my preferred dishes are in stock.

I think this place would be lovely on a warm night eating out in the garden. It was a cold night so we are inside. First people there at 9.15 and it didn't really fill up til 10pm. Dining room is ok, hard wooden chairs. Smelt of mould. Disappointed with food. Nothing special (and we expected something special for the price).

Wonderful place to eat on top of Monte Aloia. When the weather is good, one can sit outside and have views all the way to the ocean and Portugal. The interior is nothing fancy but the food and service are fantastic. We had a T-bone steak that we cooked ourselves, at the table, with salad, and crocettes to start with - all absolutely delicious. The ladies serving customers are both so lovely 😍 We had the Mencia wine in a jug and it was perfect with the great food. Will definitely be back!

Probably the most delicious bocadillo calamares I have ever eaten, and for just € 3.50. I could order it at 5 pm as well, when most Spanish restaurants are closed. And I haven't even started on the scenery, views or the convivial atmosphere.

Had a beautiful meal here on the 7th of May '25. I had tuna steak which came as a very generous portion and was succulent and juicy. The cooked vegetables were also lovely and very tender.

Nice place for a drink. The dinner was also quite tasty and not so expensive. Friendly service which is speaking a little bit English.

Lasagne Bolognese was store bought/processed - definitely not handmade. Had a stomach ache after eating it.

The venue is clean. Not many people so was quiet. Staff were friendly, although not very attentive. My friend had salmon, which was less than average. I had grilled cod, which was chewy, so undercooked, and also not tasty. The potatoes were very undercooked. An average meal, not worth going out of your way for.

Our first time in Tuy and preparing to do the Camino de Santiago. We wanted to eat in town and wandered around. I checked on Google and found Emma's and the food looked delicious. We sat at a table overlooking the Cathedral. We ordered various Tapas including the Oxtail Doughnut, Chicken Bravitas, a salad, Ducos Pork Ribs and a babaganous taco. The sevice was great, Freddy was very helpful in selecting what we ate. So many things to choose from and we went for a few but not quite sure we realised the size of some of what we ordered. It was all very delicious though and managed to eat most of it, but asked for a box to take some chicken away.

The first night in Tui Spain. We enjoyed veggie base tapas with wonderful vino. Prices were right and nice service.

We had a party of 14 and had the most delicious food and attentive and fun wait staff! We had the roasted cauliflower, camabert fondue, tuna empanada, croquets, gravitons de Pollo, and sangria. All our meals were wonderful, presentation was beautiful and so tasty! Freddy and Emma were wonderful and so welcoming!

There were 4 vegetarian main options on the menu, not just the usual tortilla and patatas bravas. Tofu and beans great flavor. Wok vegetables also tasty with lots of different vegetables and seeds, but too many mushrooms for me. My husband and I got one of each and mixed together which worked very well. If we could give NO stars we would. Unbelievably rude waiters. We were a small group of people from different countries who are walking the Camino. We had to ask several times to be seated together, get served and then again for the bill, only to receive a torrent of prejudiced foul mouthed abuse from the table to the till. Even Spanish people commented on the poor service and the owner/manager told off the worst waiter for his behaviour. Such a shame as it's a good location and the food and wine was nice and a reasonable price. Also, we received one incorrect drink and never received the coffee we ordered.

Honestly I wasn’t super thrilled. The location of the cathedral is awesome, and yet, the food wasn’t able to hold up to that. The bread itself was room temperature and a little chewy; unfortunately it didn’t come with bread either. The rest of the food was quite salty as well. However, the mini scallop-like things were flavorful and tender, but also had a little too much salt. The calamari, which was our starter, was incredible. That would be my biggest recommendation out of anything on the menu. Very lightly fried (in oil, not batter) and has great flavor. The tortilla tasted off; almost as if they cooked the eggs close to burning. Would be willing to go back and try it again, as I’ve heard raving reviews from family, but this trip wasn’t out of this world.

Beautiful stay in a historic edifice. Rooms are dated (as expected with old buildings), but service lacking for such a property. Nowhere to take a coffee or small bite without having to sign-up for the breakfast buffet. Imagine a full service hotel with no bar or cafe. We practically had to beg for a wide open restaurant to get a coffee and tea in the morning; that after having a full dinner there the night before.

Like most paradores, this one is a stunning old building in a beautiful spot. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The outdoor pool surprisingly lovely on a cool day, and the restaurant food excellent. My only niggles are the same at each one...for the price there ought to be free water in the rooms, and they need money spending on them...there was a large chip out of the bath and some plaster peeling from the walls. For almost 200€ a night, it should be perfect!

Our first stay after a series of long flights and delays. Staff were all gracious. Front desk staffers Rebecca and Valerie were so helpful and informative. Our rooms were clean and orderly. I wish they’d consider changing their hairdryer to modern era ones. What they have are so ancient and almost useless. The dining room had great coffee and breakfast fare. The grounds were beautifully maintained. They were so close to the Old Town too!

We stayed for one night before starting the Camino and was such a beautiful surrounding. We unfortunately had rainy weather but the standout was our evening meal. I can't find it on Google maps to review but we had the salmon and pork. Both were divine. With beautiful scenery to eat with. Lovely service from both ladies working. I don't have a picture of a tuna aperitivo with a sweet sauce we had which was melt in your mouth good. Bread came with good quality olive oil. Great prices also for the quality. Highly recommend.

What a charming Parador! We are so happy that we decided to break up our drive to Vigo by stopping for a night. It was a somewhat last minute trip for us, so the only room available was the smaller, standard room... which is indeed quite small but still very charming. If you can, book a larger room unless you are one person. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant, but the breakfast was excellent! The town of Tui is a short walk away, you can walk there on a scenic path along the river. Very nice, I recommend it!
