We had Pulpo dobble and it was really delicious and enough for two people, although you could eat the whole thing by yourself easily. I would recommend it!

Got to try the Pulpo, raser fish, cuddle fish crochet, tuna tartar and calamari. All were delicious. Some of the calamari pieces were over cooked, but still good. Our server was very nice, but didn’t speak English so we had to figure things out. Luckily they have an English menu online.

We had the chance to visit La Pulpería de Melide in La Coruña, and it was an outstanding experience. The octopus was simply spectacular—perfectly cooked, with an authentic flavor and ideal texture. The quality and freshness of the seafood truly stand out and make this place something special. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality offered, making it an unbeatable option. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is very attentive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best Galician octopus and seafood!

Most guides and tours point this olace as the want to go to eat good pulpo a feria and I do agree the pulpo they have is very good, yet there are plenty of other places aroubd with good "octuos" without the need to line up for 1 hour before getting a seat. Perhaps we were very unfortunate today, but one cruise excrusion suugested their passwnger to come here for lunch and they were all booking in front of us. We decided to wait though and again, let me insist, all good yet not worth the wait being at a city like la Coruña with tons of good tapas and "pulperias" around. Once in, the menus is not too long but it is packed with best of breed of the usual galicia. tapas: potato omelette Betanzos style (not cooked to perfection though), excellent pulpo (missing some more olive oil), Padron green peppers, choco croquettes, cheesecake with Savel blue cheese,... All very good and a bit on the high end price. A must go if you are lucky no to find a queue to get in. Tip: if there is a queue you need you get into the waiting list quickly! Everyone might be coming here for the pulpo (which for us was a tad too tender), but the secret star on the menu is their Gilda de viera, a perfect bite of marinated scallop that beats nearly every dish I’ve had in Galicia. Service was prompt and professional, and the place is full of locals having a great time.

Food is really good, but a bit over priced for A Coruña standards. Obviously the octopus was the highlight of the meal, but the rest of the plates were really good as well. When coming make sure you don’t arrive too late as probably you will have to wait in order to get a table as the restaurant is very popular.

We were attracted by the slightly softer interior (not bright modern or dark traditional). The welcome was warm as was the service, portions are quite large so possible to share. Menu, as many here are quite complex, but you can navigate through to steak & fries if you want to. Seating is comfortable, overall a very nice place to while away two or three hours.

It‘s a perfect experience: ambient, light, soft music & decoration made us feel really welcomed and we loved the different style compared to many other restaurants around. We were 6 guests - 2 of us vegan & 2 dogs. We started with a good wine from a huge selection of local galician wines and tasted 2 courses. They know what vegan means and it was a real pleasure to explore the different tastes. Highlight where artichoks in a sesame miso sauce and fresh chanterells in a pan with sn extraordinary sauce. The all eaters were super happy as well with their choices. We highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat something beyond the normal spanish tortillas.

Had a lovely meal here, we had Cecina, Picaña (with chips and a nice salad) and a Pizza, followed by the pineapple dessert. I finished it off with a Macallan 12. All was really well presented, decent price and delicious and the service was really good too.

I have to write this review with mixed feelings. I did like the place and I enjoyed the service and the quality of the food, it was quite pleasant, I would go even further and describe the "Flan" as absolutely delicious... now for the element that makes this review a mixed feeling... We walked in, while we looked at the menu we were offered grouper loins on the grill as out of the menu... both of us lovers of grouper had no doubt... when it arrived... yes, it was grilled but either the grouper was the size of a prawn or we were given a quarter of a loin divided by two...and in pieces. It was also dumped inside a soup, that was not advertised that was not mentioned as part of the dish, I was told grilled grouper loin but I wasn't told it would be dunked in a soup with brussel sprouts and faba beans... It was not the most fortunate experience for me neither something to honor a grouper the way it should be. So before I go ahead and recommend you go to go Charlatan I would ask twice what you are ordering in case they actually honor their name in what they tell you and yes... it is just not what they are suggesting.

Amazing food and service. A waitress in two pony tails was very nice and helpful, he had the biggest smile we have ever seen :) Food was delightful. Pizzas were perfect, duck and other meat was a soft and served along with delicious veggies and interesting blends of spices. ( As a vegetarian I only wished for more vegeterian options. Risotto accompanying the duck could be a great dish on its own ;) ) The cherry on top of our evening was cheescake and flan - purely fenomenal. I highly recommend this place!

We visited this restaurant today, drawn by the many excellent reviews and eager to try some good Galician cuisine here in “A Coruña” And I have to say, the food was truly delicious: dishes with intense, authentic flavors, prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. We would gladly give the food 5 stars without hesitation. Unfortunately, however, the service did not meet our expectations. The waiter who served us spoke extremely fast, almost as if he were reading from a script, without offering any recommendations or personalized suggestions. And even though I mentioned that we would have appreciated his input, he kept talking mechanically, just listing the names of the dishes. The most disappointing moment came when I tried to ask about the desserts, but I was briefly distracted with my daughter. Still, he went on reciting the list without pausing or adjusting to the situación and then simply walked away. At that point, we decided not to have dessert there and went elsewhere instead. That said, we want to highlight that the waiter who brought us our drinks was very kind and professional, as was the owner, who was very courteous and open to feedback. In short: excellent food, but the overall experience was affected by impersonal and inattentive service.

The food is great, service is fast, place is cosy and Alberto comes to your table to check on you from time to time and he is a funny guy. Love our experience! What a great value too for a nice tasting menu. Drinks are also not expensive, well priced.

This is certainly a gem among all the gastronomic offers in La Coruña. They use high-quality products. We love everything that we had. I highly recommend the sea bass with pil pil of piquillo pepper and the short ribs.

A high end restaurant that feels like family. Everything was delicious and the owner knew everyone or at least made everyone feel welcome. A very special place with the best green bean dish I have had in my life. It has been several weeks since I ate here and I still think about the green bean dish. The beet risotto was muy rico.

We were welcomed by Alberto who introduced us to the tasting menu we were going to have. He offered to make changes if there was something in the menu we were not interested. His team of waiters are very attentive and explained each dish when bringing it to the table. The somelier came to offer us wine to pair it with the food. Overall great experience and all dishes were very tasty, well cooked and flavoursome. Definitely a place to come back.

Great place to enjoy a revamped traditional cuisine full of flavor. This place is exactly like this, traditional dishes with a modern touch, and enhanced flavors. For instance, we had ravioli, rib, braised ox tail and scallops. Pros: the mix of flavors is strong, they evolve in mouth and the feeling is super positive. Cons: sometimes some really good products are masked in their original textures and flavors. Anyway, a good value for money option in A Coruña 4.6 stars on my opinion

I went solo back in Fall 2021 just at opening time (they even let me in a few minutes before) and let me tell you this was the best meal I had in all of Spain. I would go back to Coruña just to eat here again. Almost missed my flight back and if I did, I would not have regretted it. As someone who grew up eating the freshest seafood you can ever imagine (family of fishing enthusiasts living in an island), and having been to some Michelin star restaurants, the only other time I had a fish comparable to the one here was the ones that my dad grilled at the beach right after coming out of the water. How about making a gourmet dinner with that kind of fish? The sauce around it, the wine, the torrijas as dessert… price was unbeatable for the quality of the food and the treatment. I want to manifest that I’ll be back someday.

Superb tortilla, generous portions, rapid service. Hard to get a table but we were happy to stand. Vibrant, slightly intense atmosphere. Kind staff. Very clean for such a busy establishment. I liked the touch of the napkins being in an empty Colacoa tub.

A must in La Coruña, but it is always packed.due their well known tortilla and croquettes -although they have far more tapas as well-. Prices are very low compared to surroundings bars and the place is really small, so you get lines all the time.

I visited Árbore da Veira in A Coruña with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. Despite having informed the restaurant of the occasion in advance, this was neither acknowledged nor mentioned at any point during the evening — a disappointing oversight for a Michelin-starred establishment. The tasting menu was visually impressive, with colourful and well-presented dishes made from quality ingredients. However, while the presentation stood out, the overall dining experience felt somewhat impersonal and failed to justify the restaurant’s reputation. We attended using a gift voucher that included both the tasting menu and a set amount for alcoholic drinks. As we were driving, we only consumed two glasses of wine each, leaving a portion of the allowance unused. At no point were we informed that the remaining balance would not be refunded or credited. It was only after contacting the restaurant later that we were told this was their policy. This lack of transparency was disappointing and inconsistent with the level of service one should expect at this calibre of restaurant. In summary, while Árbore da Veira delivers technically refined dishes and strong presentation, the service and communication fell short, leaving the overall experience underwhelming and not reflective of Michelin standards

An exceptional restaurant with a breathtaking ocean view, delectable cuisine, and overall excellent service. Although I didn't opt for the tasting menu, I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary appetizers served alongside the drinks, as well as the delightful sweet bites accompanying my coffee (I initially thought they were part of the tasting menu). The quality-price ratio is commendable. However, I'm withholding a 5-star service rating due to the unfriendly head waiter, who struggled to address my inquiries about certain dishes. Nevertheless, I fully intend to return.

The location is quite breathtaking, we had to spend some minutes around the restaurant before going in. From the beginning when we entered the restaurant, the staff were friendly yet professional. We had the tasting menu and to make it easy opted for the wine pairing. The food was amazing, there was always some surprises - good surprises. The wine pairing was a bit wild, it started with red wine went to white and went back again to red to port wine to white. What an experience!

We came here for a mid week lunch and the food, service and atmosphere was top notch. Firstly the views from here are amazing as they overlook A Coruña and the sea. Two of us opted for the €65 tasting menu which was excellent value and since one of my friends was sick, they were accommodating and let him do al a carte. I enjoyed the small touches like a welcome drink and the multiple snacks, followed by 4 dishes, 2 desserts and petit fours. I highly recommend visiting when in A Coruña!

Honestly, for this price in, let's say Norway or UK, you might be able to eat a hamburger with a beer. Here you are enjoying high class cuisine in a fabulous place. Highly recomendable!

We enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu, which was plenty of food for me. I misunderstood the first flight of four tastes, which was actually one course, so i wish that had been more obvious, but not a problem. The food was impeccable and paired nicely with a Galician white wine. Reserve in advance and call the morning of your reservation. Bonus:The absolute best views of la Coruña.

This is my favourite place to eat in Coruña. My boyfriend’s family has introduced me to this restaurant and we’ve been visiting since 6 years. Everytime we visit the city, we always make time to eat their “tortilla de patata”. It is amazing. When it’s the season, pimientos (fried peppers) goes so well with it too. Their meat is also top!! (ternera asada) I’ve tried croquetas as well. All delicious. The location, the atmosphere, everything serves to your experience. Definitely recommended! You can sit in the outside section in summer to get a good view of the main square. I leave some videos of the satisfying first cut of the spanish omelette!

The place is pretty and very conveniently located. The starters were delicious (zamburiñas, navajas and tortilla de Betanzos) The service from the staff was appalling from the person in the reception to the waiters. Very superior/dismissive and distant not at all Galician maybe a Coruña thing. The main dishes were not great, Carne Asada was cold. Calamares en su tinta con arroz was a mushy paste. The overall experience would have been more pleasant if the staff was more engaging/friendly.

Nice Spanish food at a fair price, although the restaurant has a nice location is in the main square. Inside, the place is pleasantly furnished and everything looks comfortable, elegant and quiet. Only negative observation: too much (and not too good) oil in the food for my taste.

Amazing tortilla de patatas de betanzos!!! Some gluten free options and gluten free bread

The ambience in the restaurant feels quite nice. There is a winter garden area, with the view to the square and the city hall. The good point is that they have a menu in English. The starters we ordered are very delicious: garlician soup, garlician peppers, and the famous pulpo (octopus). The main course we had was the Monkfish in garlician style. It was not bad but nothing special. The dessert was the high light of the meal. The chocolate mousse was very dense and rich, full of dark chocolate taste, and not too sweet. So that would be a good choice of dark chocolate fans. The fried milk was also the type of dense and rich pudding-like taste, with crispy cover, and caramel sugar coating. The Rioja wine we chose was the most expensive one on the list, and it was not disappointing. The service was a bit rough. But it is difficult to say whether it the the local style, or the language barrier. No waiter or waitress can speak a single sentence of English. When one waiter served the wine to us, just opened the bottle and threw it on our table, and then he just disappeared, not saying any word during the whole serving process. We were a bit shocked. But finally we served ourselves. To conclude the whole experience, I would say apart from the main dish and the service, everything was satisfying.

I´m sorry to see that our "La Penela " from A Coruña is loosing the good attention they had before. Yesterday we see ones more that they need a hard hand to move the personal and things. No way to get an table outside and inside no way to get an glass withand for Martini.We must ak for the orange inside . also the meat is not done as before. Sorry but we suggest make trhge necessary changes.

Croquetas and pulpo were the best dishes. We booked last minute with over 20 guests and they were very accommodating. We had one srver for the duration of the meal and he was fantastic, especially as we were such a big party.

Supreme Galician restaurant in Coruña center; súper fresh products delivered daily, specialised in fish and seafood. We loved the clams and the pata negra ham croquetas from Joselito! Wow! Turnout grilled was flawlessly cooked to perfection. Desserts OMG, the torrija with toffee caramel delicious. Great wine list.

1) It was freezing to the point it was really uncomfortable 2) The appointed waiter disappeared after the main order 3) the food was very disappointing (I generally love sea urchin and the one served here was disgusting - I also had better bread in taverns). I'm leaving the restaurant hungry because I could barely eat anything decent. The only thing I can recommend are the dessert wines (Porto, Madeira and PX) I can't wait to have dinner at home this evening!

Not spectacular, I think in La Coruña there are better seafood restaurants. It’s nothing to write home about. It’s a good restaurant though but I had higher expectations. Good ambience and excellent location. Serious staff.

From 2023 - 2 stars Unfortunately a mundiña has lost its old charm and quality. We were disappointed in our last visit with both the food and the service. The salpicón was good but worse than it used to be, the arroz caldoso de mariscos was too salty and had many grains of sand, the cañita missed crema in 1/3 of it, etc. It seems that there was a change in ownership which might explain things. ——— From 2017 - 5 stars One of the best restaurants in La Coruña! Awesome salpicón de marisco, navajas, meat, fish, etc. Good wine selection. Every time I come to La Coruña I try to come to la mundiña.

If you like meat, this is the place to be! Parrillada mixta gives you a taste of all different meats. Their flan de cafe is not small but big like the meat dishes. It is recommended to reserve as the place is very popular.

The steak was undercooked, we had to send it back, they cooked it right. The second time the ribs were overdone and dry, but still had flavor I gave it a 3.5 could be better, but it has potential. I've eaten a lot of steaks since I've been here. They seem to overcook everything, so this place at least undercooked it. I would give it a chance, I didn't try anything else but the steak and the ribsyou see the pictures for yourself parking is difficult, but at nighttime. There's a lot of activity, so if you're looking to have a drink and watched people, that's a great place. Plenty of room inside for big parties. I wish I would have tried more but didn't have the appetite

We ate here twice as it was that good. The staff are wonderful and work together with such cohesion, like a well oiled machine. It is hard work but with such a team it must be a fun place to work. All the food is cooked fresh and to order. We could see them making the chips and they are good. We had a mixed grill, veal steak on the bone, then the next night a salad and grilled octopus, and the t bone steak. We drank the Rioja reserve...yum.

The parrillada mixta was very good, although the chicken thigh was overcooked. One order is more than enough for 2. Comes with fries. Also had a very good, very fresh salad and a clarita (shandy).

food was so so, the waiter mentioned french fried is included with the meat dish but no, additional charge for the fries which were badly cooked that we didn't even eat them

Beautiful coffeeshop! Very cozy space, from the outside it looks like q delicatessen shop but as soon as you enter you’ll find a cute coffeeshop. The cakes were delicious you will find very hard to decide which one to chose. They offer a wide variety of teas and any coffee that you’ll like, non dairy options available. Highly recommended.

Visited Pandelino for lunch and also for a late afternoon coffee. It's a super cozy vibe with good coffee and food. They have a menu of a day that's a good amount of food. Their pea salad and roasted fish was really good.

The food was a bit plain and uninspired. The atmosphere and wait time were acceptable. However, the service was disappointing, Eloisa (server) attitude was less than welcoming, and her professionalism left much to be desired. Overall, a rating of three stars or less feels fair.

Airy, well decorated, soft lighting, high ceiling, and friendly staff. The coffee served is nice (but no 'pincho' offered). It also has a bakery & chilled bottle cabinet at the entrance. It could do with more loos (one per gender) and queues often develop at peak times. The cigarette butts and ash on the floor around the outside tables because of lack of ashtrays isn't very appealing, and when it's slightly busy it takes too long to be attended. I recommend you pay when your order arrives, otherwise you will have a long wait for the bill. On my last visit there was only one loo working, the other had been out of order for a while it seemed

An absolute gem! The food, wine, service and atmosphere were fantastic. Every detail and taste was high quality including the extraordinary olive oil served with wonderful Sou dough bread. Do your early a favour and come here. It’s also reasonably priced.

Lively wine bar and restaurant serving good tapas and portions ready to share. Selected wine list at a very good prices and expert advice by the sommelier. Friendly service. A must when in Coruña. Booking is mandatory to get a table but I also enjoy just getting in and try to find my place at the counter.

Really wonderful wine bar 🍷 located in a beautiful and characteristic area of A Coruña. The staff there is very friendly, however you need to insist sometimes to get the attention if you are sit outside 😅. Big variety of wines and short menu (which is a good thing). If you don’t know what to get, the cheeses 🧀 are a safe option always ✌️

Our group (of 9 people) had a truly terrible dining experience. Three of us ordered the Missy bagel/burger, and it was nothing short of disgusting. The taste was so bad I could barely swallow half of it. A colleague, curious to see if it was as awful as we described, tried a bite only to spit it out immediately – it was completely inedible. The rest of the meals were just as disappointing. Must of us left the plates barely touched because the food was simply dreadful. The flavours were bland at best and outright offensive at worst. None of us could believe how bad it was, and frankly, it was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. We definitely won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal.

I really wanted to like this place. By the reviews it seemed to offer something different than the typical platter of brown stuff which tends to be Spanish restaurant food. The interior is charming and cozy, and they allow dogs which is great. However, the staff was quite brusque, and what’s worse, the food is not good. The menu itself is confusing - why does the “Thai” burger have cesar salad sauce? Why does the salmon gravlax bagel have lettuce and jalapeño sauce? Why are there two types of tartars? It doesn’t make sense to me. I had trouble deciding but went with the egg dish. It came out without bread initially, so it seemed to be a kind of gloopy gravy soup, but not. Very odd. We had to ask for bread but that didn’t help much. The chef-owner was chatting with a nearby table and asked me how I liked the food, I guess because I’d barely touched mine. I explained my issues (politely, I hope), but the meal was not comped as it should have been if she actually cared. My husband’s “baos” did not resemble baos in taste or appearance. I see this in Spanish “modern” restaurants - they have these quasi international, trendy items and ingredients but the execution is off. I was hoping for more veggie options, but there weren’t many. Nice place though and the deserts looked good.

The meal I ordered was €9,50 on the menu and they then charged me €13,70 on the bill because I “sat on the terrace”. I am used to paying €1-2 extra to sit on the terrace, but am always provided with the bill that has the terrace price so I know the cost when I choose this. In addition to this €4,20 is an obscene overcharge. The food tasted fine, but 100% not worth the money. Would not ever return. In addition to this, the terrace tables are right next to a bin and there was vomit on the ground 2m from my table.

Really delicious food although, the price was quite high considering how much was provided (very small amounts of avocado in the salad, when it was deemed to be a main ingredient). Great cocktails. Good vegetarian/vegan options.

Went there to have dinner. The food is delicious. Plate are well textured and elaborated. Only aspect that we did not like was that both of the chefs were talking incredibly fast and overall always in a huge rush. I understand that’s their personality and of course no problem with that but if you want a relaxed ambiance this is not your place.

We love the ensaladilla which is not the typical one. It has ginger and sesame oil. This gives a kick of oriental taste. The sardine with winter melon is just so good. The sweetness of the winter melon just goes so well with the sardine. We like the eggplant less unfortunately.

We had lunch at Millo and it was a personalised, authentic and exciting experience. The service was top and we got suggested the best dishes for the day. Everything was impeccable, would definitely come here again and again.

We ate here with very high expectations considering the ‘Chef’ adorns nearly every gastronomic article relating to A Coruna. Unfortunately, we couldn’t have been more disappointed. The meagre Artichokes looked ok but tasted of little apart from the cheese grated on top. The sweetbreads were equally disappointing and bland along with the sauce which tasted of nothing. €4.80 for the bread which was good but like everything else was totally overpriced. I fail to see how this place or the chef has any reputation at all considering the many fine places to eat in this city. Avoid at all costs!

One of the best sushi spots in Coruña! The miso soup is delicious, sushi is worth the money and the service was excellent. I would definitely come back again. The only con is that the amount of tea provided is not a lot - but you’ll just have to ask for a refill and I wasn’t charged.

Avoid at all costs – tourist trap with terrible food and bad service. We ordered their “famous” soupy rice with lobster and it was hands down the worst thing I’ve eaten in all of Spain. Before ordering, we specifically asked if the lobster could be served deshelled because we didn’t want to deal with the hassle. The server assured us it would be easy. It was NOT. It was frustrating, messy, and nearly impossible to get the meat out. To make things worse, there were small sharp pieces of shell mixed into the rice – nothing like biting down on shards of shell to ruin a meal. And the rice? It tasted like spoonfuls of pure salt. My tongue was burning from how salty it was. We later learned they usually crack open the lobster shell for you but didn’t this time. When we voiced our concerns, a man (I assume the manager or owner) came over—not to apologize or try to make things right—but to smugly tell us that “everything tastes fine.” This is clearly the kind of place where the customer is never right, no matter how valid the complaint. His condescending tone made the whole experience even worse. For the outrageous price they charge, this was absolutely not worth it. It’s overpriced, underwhelming, and screams “tourist trap.” We left feeling completely ripped off and insulted. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.

Great seafood here and also the meats. Very high quality everything and the service was amazing. Even the french fries were so home made. I recommend to order the Octopus as an starter, truly local pleasure. Prices are also good considering the quality of the place. Recommended in A Coruña!

A great place to enjoy local cuisine. They returned our missed call made outside their hours, booked us a table in the sheltered terrace so our little dog could accompany us. Delicious seafood variety enjoyed with excellent service. Unfortunately some photos were taken once started eating as it looked so good.

This is such a good restaurant in the heart of the city. Quality of seafood is exceptional and they cook it with great care not spoiling the fresh product. Instead of having one bottle of wine, we had different wines by the glass according to what we were eating. Service and atmosphere was fantastic, but food is the main reason to come here.

Service was excellent. I asked one of the waiters about the olive oil we got served with the bread and he gave me all the details about the olives it was made of. Really cool detail. A good sign to start with. Everything else was on par with the above, including service, food, etc. Slightly pricey but I’d repeat and recommend.

Excellent service and a very nice playlist! Mixed reviews on the food,however. The broken egg with scarlet shrimp was INCREDIBLE👌. The quail legs on rice was a little too rich, whilst lacking seasoning. Overall a good, not great experience.

Called in at A Coruna on a cruise. After walking around we stumbled across this restaurant which was definitely our find of the day! Unlike other restaurants it appeared quiet, however, we could see the waiters inside so approached them to see if it was open. It was but had we made a booking for our party for four. No but the staff found us a table, and as the afternoon moved on it filled up, and we found out why it was so popular. We had trouble translating the menu into English, but again our waiter went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, but also by providing a tablet with the English translation of the menu. Photos of the English version are attached. Between us we ordered the Red Mullet, and the Joselito Iberian Pork, coupled with Galician Red Wine, and a local dark beer. Once again the waiter was so helpful in providing us with details of the food and wine in excellent English. The Pork was one of the nicest meals I’ve had and was perfectly complemented by the sweet potato purée. For desserts we had the millefeuille, Egg Flan, and Torrija all of which were excellent. The kitchens were open for inspection, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent and obviously proud of the restaurant. The food was excellent.

One of the best in La Coruña. It’s a unique restaurant with interesting dishes. It’s not just a regular restaurant. And I’m really glad they’re open to experimentation which is a quality of an amazing restaurant. Desserts, cheesecake and tomato were really good. Everything is top level. The atmosphere is lovely and the presentation of the plates is spot on! The service is quick and the staff is very professional. You must order the baos and the meat sandwiches, they are delicious and really buttery, I could eat 100 of them! However, some of the plates weren't that special, the huevos rotos con cigalas were good but nothing extraordinary, not to mention that we only had one miserable tinny langoustine! Finally, the chocolate dessert was fantastic!

AMAZING restaurant and one of the best during our trip to Galicia! Excellent service and kids friendly (they were fine to prepare something different for the kids, THANK YOU!) we ordered few things and all were beyond our expectations but the best was: Churrasco bao Arroz de vaca, setas y alioli (the BEST rice that i have ever taste) Artichoke We also ordered dessert, Flan de la abuela and although this is a very easy and simple dessert, this one was really creamy and special! I recommend this place 100% a little more expensive that the average in La Coruña / Galicia but without doubt worth to try.

We waited ~20 minutes for a table (at 14:30 there were tables available). Our check was €37,80 for 2 persons, we were full 😋! Wednesday is closed.

Wonderful place. The octopus and particularly the peppers are perfectly prepared, and the excellent dessert portion of cheese with membrillo is enormous for the price. I was even given a digestivo shot of herb liquor on the house. Couldn’t have been better.

Pulpo is super good. Galician bread is also great. Go in advance and take a seat before kitchen opens.

A perfect choice if you’re looking for an authentic, non-touristic place in A Coruña. You will enjoy your meal while being surrounded by a lot of locals, many of whom gather there to play cards or watch football games. We got white wine served in bowls and octopus with bread (they didn’t serve potatoes on that day), and they were delicious! Not to mention that the prices are really good. They serve large portions so one plate was more than enough for two girls. The staff was kind, helpful and attentive. I highly recommend the place!

What a delicious experience. Perfect in every way. A small traditional restaurant in the northern part of O Coruna. The pulpo is on point and tastes perfect. Order some peppers. You won‘t regret it. I got a white land wine with it. And since everything was so good I ordered the cake from granny. (Tarta de Abuela). Gracias!

We’ve been traveling in Spain for a week, enjoying delicious seafood every meal, so we decided to have a steak for a change. We came to this restaurant following its high rating, however, it was a big mistake. Its menu includes an all-you-can-eat meats at a relatively low price. We checked with the waiter who was friendly but not proactive, and he explained that all you can eat meats are lower quality than the others on the menu so we ordered a T-Bone steak and codfish since he recommended both. The steak was almost uneatable, very tough and chewy. The fish was also disappointing, not tender and bland. I normally do not write a review after visiting a restaurant but this was an exceptional case for a highly rated restaurant

Horrible Experience at milongas Avoid This Place! I recently visited milongas in Spain with a large group, and I honestly can’t believe the experience I had. Let me start by saying that the staff were lovely they were polite and respectful. But when it comes to the food and the overall dining experience, it was one of the worst I’ve ever had. This place is an all-you-can-eat buffet , but the quality of the food is shockingly bad. The chips were the least of the problems. They were cheap, thin, greasy, and hard honestly, they tasted like something you’d buy in bulk from a corner shop. But the real issue was the meat. It was either raw inside or horribly undercooked. I’m not exaggerating when I say I have a picture to prove it. We were traveling with pregnant women, and honestly, it was unsafe. I ended up getting incredibly sick after eating there. I had to run to the toilet five times within twenty minutes – I had diarrhea, and it was awful. I regret eating that food so much. The meat was either raw, full of bones, or just low-quality. It honestly looked like something you’d buy from a cheap shop, throw on a greasy grill for a couple of minutes, and then serve to customers. The whole meal was just poorly made and cheap, and now I see why the prices were so low. I’m shocked that this place has a five star rating because it’s nowhere near that standard. Don’t waste your time or money here. There are much better places to eat, and I won’t be coming back.

Had a very nice parrillada for two, meat was freshly cooked and tasty. It consisted of beef rib strips, grilled pork loins, grilled baby back ribs and Argentine style beef sausages. It was not your typical Argentine parillada cuts but they were damn good. It was accompanied with a nice salad and a heaping plate of fresh made french fries. They offer as much extra cuts of meat that you want. We were stuffed with one big plate. Service was fine and we enjoyed a nice evening.

Excellent place to enjoy good food and good ambiance. We had a very good time. I met my parents in law, and my boo took us there.

I really can’t speak to the taste of the food given that the host kicked me and my 3 year old son out as our party of 6 was preparing to sit down — why? Because my toddler was eating pizza we purchased while walking to the restaurant (he’s a toddler, cannot eat fish and the restaurant did not have kid friendly meals). Our large party had every intention of purchasing plenty of other food from the restaurant. None of the restaurant staffed bothered to ask question. They simply told us to get out. I picked up my toddler and his pizza and made my way out the door, leaving my party behind. As if it wasn’t enough to kick us out, the host proceeded to (very loudly) insult me on our way out. Absolutely humiliating. Who does that to a mother and her child? We would have kindly made our way out without incident, there was no need for the theatrics. This review is written in English but I’m a native Spanish speaker and the entire communication took place in Spanish — this was not a misunderstanding.

We went to Celeiro yesterday for a dinner. We were more than 10 people. Served super quickly with great ellegance and a great humor from waiters. The food itself was AMAZING. Paella with Galician seafood and a bottles of delicious red table wine. This place is total ’must visit’ on restaurant map of a coruña. You will not regret it for sure. Thanks Celeiro for making our evening such a special one! Hope to be back as soon as possible.

Called multiple times to book. They didn't pick up. Finally wrote a message on their website booking form. When we arrived at the proposed time, there were zero records of our calls or web booking and we were summarily and unceremoniously dismissed, quite impolitely, by what looked as an completely overwhelmed and exhausted waitress. We sympathise with her as she's likely just another victim of the owner's total lack of basic management skills, but this is no way to attract or maintain a healthy number of customers. Absolutely not recommended. Didn't try to book for a later time as we were quite pissed with the whole experience.

Our first dinner in A Coruña was at Deabejas. We'd had a 27-hour travel day and were tired, hungry and really just wanted some food and then go to bed. We had the raxos (first time ever) and they were magical. We sought them out a few more times during our time in Galicia but the ones at Deabejas were the best. Also kudos to the wait staff for putting up with our terrible Spanish, made worse by sleep deprivation! I'd go back to this place in a heartbeat.

Walking down the streets of restaurants trying to find a place to eat and luckily we managed to get a table at this restaurant. As english speakers we did not understand the menu but our server translated it for us very well. The food was amazing. So good we went twice on our visit to A Coruña.

I went for the daily recommendations “venison with pumpkin puree and dates”. The meat was tasty and well cooked but the combination of flavours disappointed me, also the food was a bit cold for a 5star restaurant. Received a quality service from the waitresses and the atmosphere is nice.

When you say to a taxi driver just Cerveceria in A Coruña he will drive you there, right in the middle of the town. The old place of the brewery for decades and now it’s still a big pub where you can chug a beer but also have great food (mainly seafood of course) and a well served glass of Estrella Galicia

We had dinner at the restaurant located in the mezzanine. The space is really cool and perfect for if you want to grab drinks after your meal on the ground floor and watch whatever game is on. We enjoyed our food — we had the mini hamburgers and the “vieira” scallop. The beer was of course, very good, as they offered some of the harder to come across 1960 beers that we’ve come to love. If you don’t mind having background noise during your dinner from the beer hall area downstairs, then you’ll definitely have a good time here!

I must admit I only went here because it’s the ‘official’ restaurant of the brewery. If it had been anything else, I wouldn’t have gone. I’m glad I went because it was great! I went originally around 14:00 and there was a long line so I came back around 15:30 and didn’t wait. I ordered the burger and the ensalada completa. I ordered the salad because I was suspicious of the burger not being enough despite the server telling me it was because the burger 4€, yes only 4 and it comes with a full serving of fries. SHOCKED. The food was super good. The beef is from Galicia (yay local!) of course they had gluten free beer but not on tap. Maybe they could look into that if the demand is there. Although I expected the beer to be slightly cheaper, the prices are obviously reasonable. Will be my first stop next time I visit.

Average place and pretty expensive. Fair enough the beer brand has its own german style beer hall but it’s certainly pretty average and you’ve got plenty of places around offering much more and way cheaper.

We had a fantastic lunch here with my husband and toddler. The staff kindly provided my little girl with a high chair. We had the pulpo a la plancha, cerviche and empanadas. There were all absolutely fantastic. We were the only foreigners there. I noticed the rest or the patrons there for lunch were locals. We appreciated that the staff also kindly provided menus in English for us. It was probably the best octopus we had ever had. Highly recommend.

Was there for a quick lunch snack. You can order half a portion. I went for guacamole and tomatoes - they were amazing. Super refreshing, acidic and just straight up pleasant. Grab yourself a bottle of cider and enjoy.

This is a classy place with exceptional service and wonderful food. All themed on Galician classics with a twist here and there. The wine list is also good and not too expensive. The atmosphere is also great, certainly on the smarter end of things, think a nice evening meal out with your family or friends.

We tried several dishes and we can just say that it was very yummy. Especially the spanish omelette. Service outstanding and very efficient. The only contra the value for the price which would be 5/10. 9€ for 5 croquettes of the size of my little finger, not even 6pcs (we were two). In the picture it looks much bigger, be aware that it is super small in size. 19€ for 8 meatballs of the size of a dice. In the picture looks much bigger too. We literally felt robbed. If you do not order the above mentioned two dishes would be 5/5.

Managed to get a last minute table for two and had some really wonderful local dishes. Service was attentive and very good at explaining everything on the menu, and the food itself was delicious. Get the bread too, you'll want to mop up all the rich sauces. Highly recommend this spot.

I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant located in the center of Coruña. However, our enjoyment was hindered by a large and noisy table nearby, making it challenging for us to have a conversation. On the positive side, the food was excellent, and the waiters were incredibly helpful. Although our dishes didn't arrive simultaneously, it seemed to be their serving style. Overall, a good option for delicious food and attentive service, albeit with some minor inconveniences.

I find it hard to find a good restaurant in the center of Coruña, there's a lot of places, but some are way over priced and others seem to be too touristic, loosing the feeling for the traditional Galicia cusine. Serrano was recommended by a local friend, the quantity is good, the taste and service were excellent, and we paid a reasonable price, around 60€ for two, with wine. I recommend the Salpicón de Rape.

This locale has the best chef in the entire world, I have eaten here twice and I will always miss it. The food itself and the ingredients are of the highest quality and is prepared perfectly. The staff is absolutely wonderful and always serve you with excitement. The locale and atmosphere is extremely authentic with many decorations to please the eyes while you eat. The prices are also very affordable and appropriate for the dishes. In conclusion, this restaurant is perfect and nothing needs to change, I would go here everyday if I could!!

Very good service, delicious beef burgers and desserts that force you to repeat the experience. Remember to ask for fries because the hamburger doesn't come with them. Even if you end up full, it won't make you feel heavy, I don't know what they do but it's the best. My recommendation is 'the sorrentina'. I have to add that if you order at home the food arrives as if you were eating in the restaurant!!

Riquisimo! What an excellent burger place. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The poppyseed bun was so deliciously toasted. The fries were perfect. I wish this place existed in the U.S. My son wants to visit Spain every Summer just to have one. These are the type of burgers we are accustomed to eating back home. I had the Nachos (I'm not sure of the Spanish name of the dish on the appetizer menu) but everything we had was delicious. I must also mention the staff because they were so nice and accommodating. Nice hamburgers well prepared, full of taste with an amusing menu. The menu is full of tasty stuff and everything tastes as good as it sounds. The only thing is that is a bit pricey and on top they charge for the extras of condiments and sauces.

Food taste was good. We had fish and pulpo; but pulpo was a bit expensive for being their main attraction, I mean price/ration was high compare to others in the city which charge the same for more and without pulpo being their call-sign.

I came here because of the recommendations of Trip Advisor and it was a fantastic experience. For the first time of my life I tried Pulpo and it was amazing. Thanks a lot for the nice food and the kind service. The restaurant is located oposite to the Stadium of Deportivo La Coruña and while I went there, a game was running. Therefore it was pretty loud and crowded afterwards but that is not the fault of the restaurant 😉👍🏻

Such an amazing lunch we had. This was by far the best lunch we had in years. The food was magnificent, the staff was warm, friendly and very patient (since we came with two kids 7-8y). Having visited A Coruña many times, it was nice to visit a restaurant that has a menu that is not just a list of seafood and shellfish that is either going to be grilled, fried or steamed. The food here is made with a lot of thought and careful composition of flavours. For those who enjoy a more modern or fusion style of cuisine, you will find this place a real treat. Prices are good for the quality and effort with the food you are served.

I ve been in this restaurant twice this month and both times I was so satisfied. The place is cosy and warm, the stuff highly professional and at the same time very friendly and welcoming. There is a nice choice of food among meat and fish, especially fish. Everything is prepared with meticulous care and proposed in different and original ceramic and glass. The restaurant owns a discrete wine canteen, suggested by a qualified waiter. The owner, Anna, is just lovely, Highly recommended, but try to reserve with time in advance.

Whenever my wife and I visit Coruña we visit this wonderful restaurant. Every dish we've had, from a big steak to a little bit of tapas has been an absolute delight. The interior is fun, and well done to whoever selects the music. Great!

Very nice place. Food is nice . It could have vegan food. I couldn’t find much to eat.. my friend ate hamburger. Tinto verano was great!! Inside decoration is wonderful. Toilets are perfect :)

We experienced one of the slowest service ever. Our party was only three people. We ordered three tapas and one hamburger. I literally waited for my burger for one hour and 15 min. The place wasn't even very busy (lunch time at 2 pm, se photo)

Amazing food, predominantly for those with a love of seafood, however, the steak was also amazing. Can also recommend the home made desserts. The staff was funny and friendly and extremely hospitable. Make sure to ring ahead if you want to order the Arroz Mariscos. Would definitely recommend.

We had the seafood rice (arroz mariscado) which was absolutely delicious with so much fresh seafood, perfectly cooked rice and seasoned so well. This had the freshest seafood medley of shrimp, langostine, razor clams, mussels, clams and cuttlefish. An incredible richness and depth of flavour from the stock, seafood, vegetables and caramelized langostine shells. The Galician empanada reminded me of a chicken pot pie crust but instead had a hearty potato, tuna, pepper and onion filling. And don't sleep on the dessert. The tatín de manzana (apple tart) is a must order. The soft apples barely hold together, buttery crust and served hot so the whipped cream gives it a nice cold contrast.

We were able to share paella valanciana and was more than enough to fill the three of us. Flavor was amazing, and waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Very authentic galician/spanish food, great seafood - not pretentious and with the real taste of Spain. The seafood ‘wet rice’ (arroz caldoso) is very nice, this being the house specialty and ready to eat just after starters (they ask you which rice you want in advance to have it ready to finish) - full of seafood and perfectly cooked although just a bit on the salty side for me. Ordering a rice for 3-4 was more than enough to feed 6 people having a couple of starters before. Very nice staff and good service, good wines as well, specially the galician ones.

Very busy restaurant, good service and tasty food.

We went in without a reservation and the boss was nice to welcome us in . Good service through out and we see lots of local coming in . We had a pulpo and lobster rice . I really like the pulpo , the timing was cooked to perfection . The lobster rice is decent but I would not say it would be something to be remembered . Overall good service and decent food , a few mins walk away to the Hercules lighthouse

Really great lunch here today. We had the seafood croquetas and mushrooms to start and both were delicious. For main we had the scallops and clams and both were absolutely fantastic. Not a morsel left and we departed beaming after a great lunch for excellent value. Fantastic host and 100% recommend if you visit this great little city.

The best pieces of meat I have ever eaten! The atmosphere is amazing, it feels like you're eating at your fancy grandmother's house with incredible nice staff and food. And the table in front of the grill just adds to that experience. By far, the best Steaks! I'm still overwhelmed by the memory of the taste!

Such an amazing lunch! We had the Lomo Alto de Vaca Retinta and Solomillo de Vaca Retinta, both were packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. I loved the vibe and the whole concept of the place. The staff were super friendly too. A bit on the pricey side, but 100% worth it!

I'm very disappointed with the small portions of shirt steak is a 300gm full of fat uncut incorrectly. The quality of beef is below standard. As far of the vegetables they are very good. For a country like Uruguay known for beef I expected something much better.

The food was absolutely outstanding. The meat was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and of remarkable quality. I haven’t enjoyed meat this good in a long time. The atmosphere of the restaurant, with its cozy candlelight, added to the overall experience, creating a warm and inviting setting. While the price-performance ratio is on the higher side for Spain, it still feels reasonable given the quality of the meal. Definitely worth a visit.

An Argentinian restaurant where meat is cooked over coals. We went here for lunch and weren't disappointed. The salad with spinach, avocado and pine nuts made a great starter. We then had a rib-eye steak and short ribs with fries for main. All beautifully cooked and very tasty. If you are on a low-salt diet, tell the waiting staff when you order as plenty of sea salt is used. OK not cheap - with a couple of glasses of wine and a bottle of water the bill was 75 euro, but the food was excellent and a real treat.

The best steakhouse experience I've ever had! This place is a meat-eater paradise! They have the best cuts from the most renowned beef producers in the world! I'm talking global! The best is the wood fired grill behind the bar! And the grill master let me come up to the grill to take a picture of my steak grilling! The staff and service was amazing and we felt welcomed and at home! If you like steak houses you have to come here! Worth every penny! Thank you El Charrúa! Hasta pronto

Very nice "meat-lovers" restaurant... Maybe we can consider up-scale but it has a relaxed atmosphere and it is not presumptuous. Decoration gives a nice cosy sensation with colours in warm wood-like colours. Food is very good with all (or almost all) dishes being made on the grill... this includes different cuts of beef from several places around the world (Europe, USA, south America) and a wide variety of vegetables. From the people that accompanied me, the wine list has very good options. Staff is very nice and they are quick tobserve. Prices are not all that "nice" but this is not your typical tapas-bar; probably a complete dinner can go very near the 40 euros per person if you go for the wines... A main dish is around 18 to 25 euros and some a little more. Overall, a very nice restaurant.

This is my fourth time at La Escondita. I would define their cooking as poetry. Everything is exquisite in flavour and presentation. I have tried a number of dishes and enjoyed all of them. There is a range of fresh fish, meat, vegetables as well as savoury desserts. I will come back... and you should definitely give it a try !

WOW… that’s all I keep saying, we only had 3 appetizers to try variety because yes, this is a pricey place, but totally worth it!! El atún marinado y la ensalada de queso cabra cambiaron mi vida!

My god this is a wonderful little Coruñian seafood restaurant. Searching for it using Googlemaps hilariously took me up and down and strange turns. If you love pulpo, try their wonderfully presented “pulpito”! 🐙 I had to fight hard not to come back here for dinner becos I wanted their “postre variados” AGAIN...

Highly attentive waiters and outstanding fresh fish and seafood in this restaurant close to the main square. We literally got the last table for lunch and we ended up feeling very lucky for it. The mussels were some of the biggest and best I had in my life and the seabass was wonderfully simple and well done. The sides were equally nice. Generally speaking a highly recommended spot for eating when out in A Coruña. Don't be like us and get a reservation beforehand though...

They were very welcoming even made a special small plate for our 4 year old. The lubina was great. Can only recommend to try it.

Delicious food full of flavor and fast, friendly service

We walked into this lovely restaurant on a whim and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. We where welcomed by Gonçalo who enthusiastically told us about the food they serviced. His enthusiasm convinced us to let him surprise us with a selection of food and they completely exceeded our expectations. Lovely food, great service and we’ll definitely return when back in A Coruña

This was my first time to this restaurant. I love Asian food in general, so it was cool to see this new place here in Coruna. The place has an eclectic menu, Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese. I've eaten my fair share of ramen, and the ramen here is ok. The broth is a little bit fatty. I was a big fan of the Nasi Goreng, that was so yummy. I'd also recommend trying the different beers. I like Asahi (Japanese beer) and it was pretty cool to see it here. The brochetas teriyaki was kind of boring. The atmosphere is awesome, but get there a little bit early 2130 just to make sure you get a table since it's a small place. If you're craving Asian food (that's not basic Chinese food) give this place a shot.

Vegan options were very average considering the price point, portions, taste. The summer rolls were barely filled, and the Japchae lacked flavor. The dumplings were good though.

Descent pizza, but could be better! Visually nice, and good wooden fire taste of the crispy edges. However, the pizza is very wet in the middle and reminds me more of eating bolognese.. impossible to eat by the hand. Maybe because of too little heat or too much sauce? While the pizza was rich in taste, it was very salty, way too much salt for my taste. I think add less salt in general when there is salt ham on the pizza - it becomes too much. Their goat salad was very good and my highlight of the meal. A good place to enjoy he famous "tapas street" of A Coruna.

A great experience at La Saporita. Our server was brilliant, very kind and attentive. The pizza was delicious, quality ingredients and a very authentic Neopoilitan style. A large Valoriani oven was in the kitchen, which is always a good sign ! Recommended. Prices were reasonable for good quality.

Delicious pizza. The lasagne was so so, but what we needed for a break from Spanish food. Service was good and the place is cute.

I say YES! This is great pizza! Had the Catarina. Was fabulous. Light and chewy inside, crispy crust. Topping combo interesting in the best way. I loved this pizza. Crust reminds me a little of one of my favorite restaurants-Pizzaiolo in Oakland California. Highly recommend
