I was looking for authentic Sicilian food made and served with passion and without fuss, and this is exactly what I found at Trattoria del Gallo. This place, in a nutshell, lets the magic of Italy happen all around you. The antipasto board is a delightful collection of excellence. The wild boar Ragu is utter perfection, served with house pasta that is creamy and perfectly shaped for the sauce - with an al dente texture that set a new standard. I had never tried horse meat. I wasn't sure I wanted to. But there was something in the waiters' face that told me the time had come... and I was blown away. The thinly sliced sweet, beefy flavours were brought out by the addition of bitter notes of radicchio , and broadened with thin wedges of cheese (provolone picante ? I'm not sure). The table wine was also a delight, with rustic notes that suggested preservative free oxidation - a taste I would previously have considered aged but enjoyed so much that it expanded my palate. The staff were a perfect blend of friendly, helpful and professional. A completely memorable night, never to be forgotten! Thank you Trattoria del Gallo !

We were looking for a place where we can have typical, home style sicilian food and we found everything we are looking for in Trattoria del Gallo.. We drove 30 minutes from Noto to reach there but it was 100% worth it. Food was really delicious with a very local feeling. Plus good wine. An excellent restaurant with truly authentic local food. Service was also amazing- our server was Eros and he was super helpful and very eager to recommend dishes and wine. We took the sparkling white wine and a rose. We had a lot of the antipasti including caponata, ricotta cheese, cold cuts and sliced cheese, pork sausages, minced goat and horse meat stew. Then we had aubergine ravioli and tartufo tagliatelle. Both were delicious. For dessert we had the tiramisu and sweet ricotta ravioli. They were delicious. My only complaint is that the espresso at the end of the meal was served in paper disposable cups. Otherwise a brilliant restaurant that i highly recommend. Would definitely visit again.

Delicious food served by a welcoming, caring and passionate staff. We had a lovely dinner complete with antipasti-primi-segundi-dolce and a great wine to pair it with. Everything was fresh and seasonal (no menu, only a selection of dishes of the day - so you know it’s freshly prepared). Everything was cooked to the perfection! Hands down the best family-owned restaurant we tested in the region. The staff even spoke French with us, which was definitely appreciated!

We had our anniversary dinner here in late July, and despite the previous bad reviews we were really really happy. Food was excellent as was the wine we had, service was great, the place is super cozy with the brick and archway. It’s quite clear with the 6 and 9 course menu that this is more of a fine dining place and people should expect accordingly, and even then the prices were more than reasonable. Great experience, definitely recommend.

We had the tasting menu. The worst food I had for a while. Some dishes I did not even touch after one bite and I love Italian food. The waitress/chef did not care. Not even a smile, empathy, no attempt to make things right. Only pork dish and a dessert were good, the rest were small portions, bland and my gluten-free pasta was inedible. But what left really bad aftertaste is not a food but an unfriendly passively aggressive service.

Four of you us went on a Thursday for lunch, it was not busy, the interior is very nice with vaulted ceilings. The bathrooms were very clean and well supplied. I had the sausages and they were very good as weee the other dishes, lamb , pasta and osso bucco . The service was prompt and polite. The menu is available in english .

Can’t say enough good about this restaurant. I’ve been in Sicily for 12 days. Have had meals of all sorts — “nicer” ones, more casual, etc. so far most of my favorite food has come from chill little spots run by one or two people…but Andrea just salvaged the “nice” bucket. You can tell the team has experience, and found their voice a long time ago. You can’t fake a connection — if it’s there it’s there. Perfect meal. I just canceled my dinner reservations for tomorrow because I have to end my trip on that.

Really lovely family who run the farm and restaurant, Lorenzo gave good advice on activities to do and places to visit and Flavio the chef was fantastic, he came to our table to explain each dish and where the local ingredients were sourced from. A superb place of comfort and rest in the beautiful Hyblaean Mountains. We booked our stay directly with Giannavi’ via Whatsapp, they were quick to respond in English. Giannavi’ offers clean rooms, a swimming pool, breakfast, lunch and delicious Sicilian dinner. The menu offers a lot of local meat, since my wife is vegetarian, the staff made excellent work of creating some very tasty vegetarian dishes. All of the staff are hard working friendly people, a real family business with a welcoming spirit. There’s even a little playground for the kids.

The breakfast was very good with varios meats, cheese, boiled eggs, ricotta, bread, croissants, localy grown fruit, breakfast cereal, yoghurts and juices, and the staff even made hot cocoa for our kids at the last day of stay. The view from the terrace of the restaurant was the perfect start of the day! 😇 The owner was friendly to us and to our kids, and the dogs were very friendly and never even barked (the same cannot be said for the other guests’ dogs).

Comfortable beds, nice water pressure and hot water in the shower, nice pool area, and decent food. Breakfast was a bit limited. Sometimes there wasn't even bread.
