In a small roadside town, I didn’t expect to see such a large crowd in a single shop. The wide variety of breads, cakes, and pastries made it hard to choose. The large, tempting sandwiches and the small open-air seating area on the sidewalk made it a perfect spot to take a break from a long drive. This bakery, which has been open for over a hundred years, reflects a part of the region’s cultural history — something I found fascinating and worth seeing. Although the coffee ice cream I had was quite sweet, and the pastries we bought didn’t taste much different from what you’d find elsewhere, spending half an hour in the shop was truly enjoyable and full of charm and memory.

You can't miss this place in town, as they advertise it a lot! A SUPER cool atmosphere, very fun to explore. However, we tried a few things and found them to be pretty dry overall.

​I ordered a basic coffee, a BLT sandwich, clam chowder soup, and several bakeries, and everything was delicious! The cafe's unique, historical design is also very attractive. The only major drawback is the outdoor seating—there's no shade, so the sun absolutely bakes you, your food, and your coffee.

Love stopping by this place every time I go to Bishop. There is always a line to get a sandwich already in their baked goods and that’s because it’s well worth it. I got a roast beef sandwich while my wife got a BLT with avocado. Of course, the next time I go through Bishop, I’ll stop again.

We plan our trips so we can stop going and coming! We just love everything about this amazing place. The staff is always so friendly and the breads are just the very best! This time we had a few minutes to sit and enjoy coffee and donuts. Thank you, we will always be back!

If you’re passing through Bishop, don’t miss this bakery! Huge variety of fresh pastries. The strudels aren’t exactly like the traditional Austrian ones, but they’re still very tasty and fresh. Great spot for a sweet break on the road.

It was my first visit to the bakery. Very disappointing rude and horrible customer service from three different areas of the bakery. No line item screen to look at while being rung up for sandwich and soups. Can't communicate with plastic screens blocking sound between cashier staff. How could I know what I'm being charged twice for until I receive the receipt? I get double charged for same item by 2 different cashiers while I'm holding the receipt... It created a lot of stress and frustration as the management is arguing with me telling me I have to pay twice. How would you like to pay for one item two times and you can't get the matter resolved? I tried to get the situation straightened out and all I received is more rudeness and more stress and frustration. The double charge should have been easily resolved. Instead I had to speak with multiple employees and multiple management about getting this resolved. The sitiation that employees created started a whole other problem that I shouldn't have had to experience. I had to speak with another manager and finally the matter was partially resolved. I came into Eric Schat's Bakery in a good mood and left very dissatisfied. I resent coming to support a business where employees treat me with a negative attitude and disrespect. I'm spending over $58 and not having a good experience. I don't believe the employees involved; including Maggie have any concern about how they treat customers. I figure they have so much business pouring through the doors they managers don't care if they leave a bad taste in one customers mouth. I doubt Erick Schat the owner cares about this complaint because these employees would not feel empowered to exhibit their rude and condesending attitude. This experience reflects poorly upon management and the owner. In any case, I resent helping to support paychecks of employees who have no respect for customers. I let the manager know that I am very dissatisfied with my experience. He addressed the concerns I had and partially resolved the matter. Furthermore, I let the manager know that he should ensure there are prices on everything so nobody would have to ask the rudest staff how much the cost is for unmarked items across the bakery. Additional, there needs to be training to demonstrate to employees how to be respectful, how to treat customers and how to provide good customer service. I don't deserve to come into any business and be treated rudely like I was today. Other customers should not have to experience anything of what I experienced today. I hope improvements can be made so that if I ever choose to return I won't have to go thru all of what I experienced today again. Although, it will probably be awhile before I would consider to return. I left Schat's not feeling that my business is valued or appreciated. The service was terrible overall and that is the reason for a low score. Erick Schat's earned this rating and failed to do enough to rectify. The poor service affected my rating for the atmosphere. Almost no shade on the patio. The food was fair. There was a skimpy portion of ingredients for this expensive sandwich. I barely got any roast beef. The staff has no ability to toast the bread. The soups are way overpriced for the amount provided. The potato salad I got from the deli counter tasted tangy like it should have been tossed instead of sold. Also, the eggs in the potato salad had a bad odor like they were too old. It wasn't fresh. Additionally, it is disappointing to see the majority of bread products at the bakery are full of artery clogging CANOLA OIL and GMO Soy.

Used to be one of my favorite spots after long hours of hiking. I can only assume they hire a less experienced pit master. - Brisket Brisket I had today has no juice, just dry, chewy, cold thick piece of meat. I had to use knife to cut it. They didn't trim excess fat properly. There is no dry rub left on top of the meat and no visible smoke ring. I've never experienced brisket without dry rub on top. Temperature of the meat is way below room temp, almost cold. They cut the meat so thick. Disappointing.

How amazing is it to walk into the restaurant to find a gluten free menu posted for all to see!! No having to ask! Nice move. My wife had the spud bud with pulled pork (sorry no photo, food was too good to wait for me to get a photo), and I had the GF Ribs (not glazed), side of baked potato and salad. All of the sauces are gluten free and have great flavor (didn’t try the ghost pepper). The ribs were wonderfully done, great flavor and super tender. Highly recommend the baked potato with onions and cheese! The interior of the building is very cute with great decor. Staff was super helpful and attentive. We received several visits after we had our food to check on us and our meals. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Restaurant Review for Holy Smokes BBQ – Bishop, California Fun little place with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The barbecue was good—solid but not quite stellar. We both ordered the brisket sandwich with macaroni and cheese on the side. The portions were satisfying, and everything was served hot and fresh. Service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. If we return, we’ll definitely try something different on the menu—there looks to be some promising options worth exploring. The place is charming and the location is perfect. They do have alot of signs posted about not sitting until you have a ticket which makes sense for the first come mindset. The service was good and the food cost was about the average you would pay for BBQ. My brisket was tender. I did not care to much for the baked beans. The flavor was good it was just the texture and the same for the potato salad. The food is filling even if the portions seem small its a good size. I will definitely go back to try more of thier menu options next time im passing through.

I ordered the big Bubba plate, tri tip was tender and delicious. The baked beans, Mac and cheese were delicious. The staff is always super nice. Don't forget to get the spicy BBQ sauce!!!

Pretty unfulfilling experience. The price of the food was incredibly high considering the low quality and sad presentation. The chicken in the chicken platter was sadly dry, and I find their practice of topping their hot baked potato spud bud with cold cole slaw questionable. The service staff were very friendly and helpful, atmosphere was solid, but the bathroom was pretty dirty and unkept.

Really torn. The ribs were great, but the tritip was bland, and the pulled pork was wet and weirdly sweet. The BBQ sauce was sweet, it sweet with vinegar and cayenne pepper. The beans were greasy, but also really sweet. Some people probably really enjoy the overly sweet thing but it's just not my style.

Jack's has been a Bishop staple for many years. I have been coming here 20 plus years. The food is good comfort food. But its the tradition on why I come here. Highly recommend if you need a good stop for good food in Bishop, CA.

Stop here to try out the food, food was pretty bland in my opinion needs a bit more seasoning. The orange juice was freshly squeezed which made it really good . Customer service could need some improvement as well.

The eggs, coffee, pancakes, and hash browns were all good. However, they mark the chicken fried steak as a specialty item. It was horrible quality, tasteless, and very hard to chew. It almost felt like rubber or cardboard. When the waiter asked us how the food was I told him about the CFS, and he did not care at al, and did nothing about it. Would not recommend this place overall.

I have been eating at Jack's Restaurant for 40 years now and always love when I first walk in and getting that down home feeling and the aroma of home cooked food, I just can't get enough of. The food here is fantastic, the service is wonderful and everyone always has a smile for you when you come in. I'm always happy to eat at Jack's when I come to Bishop California. Absolutely wonderful breakfast experience. We had the option of a free continental breakfast at our hotel. I read about this place and we skipped the free meal. So, so glad we did!! This place is top notch. We told the manager, Marco, that his food and service were way up on the scale for an eatery. Sierra took great care of us. ☕️ Coffee was excellent and everyone loved their choices for breakfast. Highly highly recommended. Did I just say highly twice? Yes. It was intentional. 👍👍

Been going to Jack’s for years. It’s a must-do stop for breakfast. Used to be called Jack’s Waffle Shop. The service is exceptional, they don’t leave you hanging, even during the tourist season rush. Food is classic diner breakfast with good portions. If parking is full, as is common, park across the street at the Whiskey Creek, old Bank of America lot.

A small tourist town go to. Service was great, atmosphere gives you something to look at. Food was pretty good, but nothing exciting. Not a bad place for breakfast.

Stopped here as we were checking out the area and were glad we stopped here. Seating is both inside and outside. Service was at the table. The outside area is big and not crowed. We order margaritas, check out the difference in size from regular to larger. The large is massive! We ordered a chicken burrito with green sauce and the taco and enchilada combination. Portions were large and food was great. Very authentic! If you’re in the area highly recommend stopping for a taste of real Mexican food!.

We had the Taco Bowl and the "Mexican Tacos" (street tacos). They were good but the salsa was REALLY good. I would've liked to have brought some of that home! They must've been pretty shorthanded bc our orders were both wrong but to be fair, the poor guy that was working the cash register also stepped in as hostess, busboy and server. And the manager made every effort to make us happy. The place was in the middle of remodeling so it should look nice later. We'll try them again another time.

It was not very busy however, the waiter we saw first kept walking by saying she’ll be with us. Finally we got seated by another person. We waited some more until we were able to order our drinks & food. Food was great. We ordered dessert. Dessert was delicious. It took awhile to get our ticket.

Paid an unbelievable amount of money for this very average Mexican food. My daughter's cheese enchiladas were $16 for two tortillas, a hand full of cheese, a 1/4 cup of sauce, very old rice and overcooked beans. They also put RAW red onion on top of everything. WHY? Who in the hell wants raw onion on their enchiladas? Should have cost $10 at the most. Simply ripping people off. We won't be coming back to this place.

That’s a great family restaurant with delicious trio fajitas, salsa, and guacamole. My friend ordered a meal off the menu, and they still made it for him. Special thanks to Jayla for her excellent service!

Simple, small town restaurant, but flavors are far from it. Five bites into the chimichanga I had to give it the review. Delicious is all I can say born and raised in Southern California. Exactly what I would expect.

To be fair, we did purchase the 2 for 1 enchiladas but the photo showed a side of rice a beans which made sense if they’re charging normally $8 for a single enchilada with no meat. Our enchiladas looked more like a horror photo upon pickup and there were definitely zero sides. In terms of food quality, everything was okay. It did kinda seem like someone took an uncooked corn tortilla and then just tossed some sauce and cheese on top. Very little substance for the price. The people were kind though if that helps?! *update - can confirm nothing at all in the enchiladas and they were fairly raw. The temperature worried us given we were there and placed a to-go order that was ready 5 minutes later. Definitely wasn’t warm…. Hoping this was an accidental mess up because other people looked happy with their meals.

$6+ for a single enchilada that was barely edible. Completely uncooked. Literally a raw tortilla splashed with sauce. Really want to love this place and support local but the only safe thing to order here is rice and beans. I strongly advise going to a different place for food.

The BEST burritos we have EVER had! My husband, Niko and I have traveled extensively worldwide. This family restaurant delivers the BEST in the area!!!! We were passing through on another adventure and we were so blessed by there hospitality (even as pickup order) There food was Amazing and Memorable!!! Our order was: Veggie Burrito & El Borracho

Stopped by this place before heading home. It looked really empty but the sign said open. We parked in back and walked through the door. It felt strange walking through the office area, storage and kitchen but the cooks waived us through to the tables. We started with some chips and salsa. The various salsas were amazing. Try the chipotle and the creamy green salsa. Yum! I was torn between the Huevos rancheros and the Chile Colorado omelette but I chose the rancheros with beans as my side. It was good but I’m still wondering how there chile Colorado was. Hubby got the chorizo and egg plate with half hashbrowns, half beans as his side. Also good. It was super cheap! $13 each! Great service, friendly staff, not busy. Try it if you are driving through Bishop.

Amazing food. Great selection of salsas and hot sauces. I love the veggie burrito. It's a weird mix of veggies but it works.

The staff here is delightful. The old church that the restaurant is located in is rich in history and has such a great ambiance. It's the perfect setting for an inviting meal. The staff is wonderful, they are always friendly, happy and attentive. The food is delicious. The menu has so many wonderful choices. We love bringing the entire family here because there is something for everyone. The chips and salsa are beyond fantastic and pair it with table side prepared quacamole, oh my goodness, you'll be so happy you did. My teenage granddaughter loves the Chingolingas, and the boys never go away hungry! I have tried nearly every burrito on the menu and love every one of them. The entre salads are insanely delicious! The Azreca Chicken Salad is my favorite. Tossed in their house made cilantro-lime dressing, with fresh slices of avocado .... The avocado bowl with carne asada is out of this world amazing! This El Ranchito is our favorite

We were staying one night in Bishop and this place was recommended by our hotel host. It is close to our hotel and has parking at the back. The ambiance is more of a “hole in the wall” diner. I was surprised that the items on the menu was pricey. The special seafood soup that I had was $25 and I expected more seafood & flavor. Our server was nice but forgetful. He forgot to give me a spoon with my soup and I had to flag him down.

I had to give a four for the wait. They need more people taking orders as we had to stand in line for 30 minutes. That’s too long for people traveling through town and can be solved with better ordering system. Food was fabulous and we definitely needed a hand wipe after which is always a great sign of a juicy burger with great sauce. Their homemade bbq sauce should be bottled up and sold. It was delicious. Plus they have live music and which was awesome!

Our goto restaurant in bishop. We have had blue Armstrong burger, inyo mouth burger, and better buster sandwich. All are great. Fast service, friendly staff, and live music.

We were trying to head to the bakery but it had just closed so we tied would go to the road house. The sandwich's were very similar to the bakery. Service was good but atmosphere could use an upgrade. Would probably go back to try some of the different offerings. The backery is still my first choice.

We stopped here for lunch on at the last minute because the local popular deli was slammed. The restaurant has an old west rustic feel. The food was amazing in the service equally as good! I have the Walker Texas Ranger burger with fries. The burger was anything, but typical it was juicy and flavorful and the fries were great. I also shared onion rings that were tasty as well.! Highly recommend. Parking was easy as they have a big parking lot. Will definitely consider again when I’m in the area..

I visited yesterday. Had a barbecue chicken salad. Only finished 1/2. Went to obtain a box because you first pay for your meal. Return to my empty table. Salt and pepper shakers, Ketchup laying on my seat. I made a Complaint and said why are your salt and pepper shakers on a dirty seat that people sit on all day long. He said , This is what we always do. I’ve contacted the Health department to make a contact with them and tell them no it is not. The management needs to be retrained. I’ve stopped At their bakery since the 1960’s. Never again will I buy anything from them again.

Great food and service. You order at the counter which sometimes can be a wait but the food comes out quickly. Great burgers and Parmesan fries are amazing. My only complaint is the lighting can be a bit darker in the main area and there are a few fixtures where it appears the lights don’t work. Hopefully they can get that fixed soon. Overall it’s a great place for food and good value considering everything else is going up.

The menu has a good variety. I got the Hot Shot Burger, good flavor, a little sloppy but delicious. Had sweet potato fries on the side, so good but so much they cooled down before I could eat them all.😆 It's definitely a place to try if you're in Bishop.

The food and sushi is sooo fresh and delicious 😋❤️ i am just sad that they are closed on sun and mon 👎 but other than that , the owners are soo sweet and helpful , the server's are very efficient and its always clean in there ❤️

Never had a sushi roll that came looking like it would fall apart and did fall apart upon picking up with chopsticks. Service was also shoddy. Sat at the bar but was expected to conjure up the menu myself. And water came almost 10 minutes later. Granted, the servers were at least friendly.

So amazing to find such fresh raw fish and ikura in this area in Sierra valley. All dishes were really tasty. The price is also very reasonable.

Great family-owned & operated place in a convenient location. Fast, friendly service and very tasty sushi. We come back every time we’re in town! If the tables are booked, try the sushi bar or cocktail bar to get in faster.

Cool place with pretty good food. I didn't expect to find a sushi joint in Bishop, but we did and this place has some tip tier cuts. I recommend you come here to get your sushi fix while in Bishop.

Great service and a nice feel to the place! Sushi rice wasn't quite right, perhaps the wrong grain. Still tasted good but just not like sushi I've had anywhere else. Sambal beef noodles were also OK. Maybe certain ingredients weren't available?

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time, it’s pricey but worth every penny. If I ever come through this small town again I’ll definitely get me a pie 😋

My son and I came in on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy and took them a few minutes to seat us. I got minestrone and a small garden salad without cheese olives or dressing. The salad was bigger than I expected it was crisp and cold. A little wet but I enjoyed it. The minestrone was good. It was probably the highlight of the meal for me. My son got a kid cheese pizza which was a pretty big portion for a little guy. I ended up eating one slice of it. It was pretty cheesy and a bit doughy but he enjoyed it. All in all I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't stand out but it was a perfectly fine dining experience.

We came in to concur like absolute fat kids. We order 1lb of plain chicken wings (delicious!) 1lb of motz sticks (yum!!) A large mushroom soup (not canned stuff! Also YUM!) and a large 50/50 pizza. Half meat lovers and half chick, bacon, mushroom with Alfredo sauce and two beers. They were on top of it and didn't mess anything up.

When I stay in Bishop, I went to this place twice for lunch once I had pizza and it was really good. Once I had pasta. I don’t think I would have that again not my favorite. I definitely recommend that pizza.

Seriously. $25 for a large cheese pizza? Figured this would be as good as Pepe’s back home in Connecticut for this price. A large cheese at Pepe’s is cheaper. Not very good. Soggy crust. No extra sauce that we ordered. And the whole thing tasted like peppers or whatever the hell they had in the oven. Won’t make this mistake again.

Great Italian Restaurant in Bishop. I prefer the lunch special M-F. Small 2 topping pizza with a salad for under $13! Great food, great price. I like the small antipasto with bread plus a glass of wine now and then.

Driving through Bishop headed home to Loa Angeles. My family and I were hungry and decided to stop at Upper Crust Pizza for dinner. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and attended to. The pizza, wings and salad were excellent. The staff was so nice and the service was great! We will be back during our next Road trip. 😁

My wife and I ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp from here 3 weeks ago. Shrimp wasn't crispy and we weren't impressed with the flavor. We thought that maybe we ordered the wrong item and gave them another shot. This time around, the Chow Mein was good and the Kung Pao Chicken was "decent". The Broccoli Beef was bland and boring. We ordered fried rice and it was just rice that had been fried... with maybe some seasoning and Soy Sauce? We didn't check the menu before ordering the fried rice, so maybe you have to pay more for the ingredients that usually come standard with fried rice (Scrambled Egg, Peas, Carrots, Onion, etc.)? Anyways, just disappointing overall. Giving 3 stars because the portions (to go order) were pretty large but we did end up spending quite a bit of money for some mediocre Chinese Food. Also, the restaurant seemed clean and the bathrooms were clean, which is why I'm rating 3 instead of 2 stars. All in all, I would rather pay top dollar for half the amount of food and have it be tasty, crispy and delicious. I really wanted to love this place...

Used to be our favorite place to eat when traveling from California to Carson city. But the food just isn't them same as it used to be . Not as good and the portions are much smaller then they used to be. There was almost no lemon sauce on the Limon chicken at all. There was no sauce for the potsticker 🥟 Won't be going back . Looks much better in the picture then it really was .

Sunday, late afternoon, lots of available tables yet there is a wait. Once seated, service is fair but the food is average. I might as well go to Panda express.

Had a very welcoming atmosphere but for my first time experience I was truly not impressed. The food was cooked in old oil. The service was terrible. It's sad because I heard alot of good things but, this was definitely a make or brake moment.

Walked in at 8:28, stood there for 5 minutes waiting to get seated, no greeting or hello just a lady walking up and says "we close at 9", I look at my phone and say it's 8:33, she says "we close at 9, take out only". Maybe understand that you're in a pass through town and based on your Google listing and operating hours I planned this stop 100 miles out. You should update your hours to "closed at 8:30"

Haven't had Chinese food this good in a while. We all loved it. Definitely stopping here again when doing through Bishop.

Honestly, it was nothing to rave about, not bad but nothing stands out. Pizza was okay and so was the salad. The prices for a small pizza and a salad was over $30 so I was expecting more.

First time going over a year ago and it was delicious. I was really excited to find a new pizza place. The 2nd time was the worst food I'd had in a long time. We didnt go again for at least another year and this time was so good. Exactly what I was looking for and the salad bar was a true gem. Nobody else has a salad bar and all the ingredients were fresh. Very glad we went and tried again.

Unfortunately, the pizza was really disappointing — completely bland and lacking flavor. I’ve been to other locations from this chain and had great experiences, so I chose this one as the only pizza restaurant in town. I honestly regret it — I would’ve been better off ordering from one of the popular chains instead of spending so much on two mediocre pizzas. Very disappointed.

Worst service ever. Waitress unwilling to perform her job and no fork/knife at the table. Advice: never tip before being served...Pizzas are decent, but prices are way higher than the 10-20$ range indicated by google.

They have COCKROACHES!!! My family and I stopped for a quick lunch while on a road trip. The food was mediocre at best, and desperately needed seasoning. The reason why I'm giving them 1 star (and that's generous), is because when I was using the restroom there were COCKROACHES crawling around on the floor. I immediately grabbed my family, and we left the building as soon as possible. We will NEVER be eating here again!

It was my first time coming. I got the tacos with beef and rice on the side. The drinks were great and the food was very well seasoned. The atmosphere is very pleasing and the employees were very attendant. Would come again, definitely!

I have been to Amigo's several times. Each time, the staff have offered great service, the food has been beyond yummy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I love the salsa they bring with the tortilla chips. Tacos can be ordered Mexican (soft corn) or American (hard). Their menu is extensive and vegetarian- friendly. Its awesome to paint Amigo's with a trip to the Bishop Twin Theater.

Excellent food. Really enjoyed everything we got. My wife got the veggie burrito and I got the jaliscos enchiladas. Their guacamole is great. Chips seem fresh. Nice and cool inside. Fair prices

Passing through from Montana - stopped for fish tacos. They are absolutely amazing. Seriously, I can’t tell you how often I’m disappointed with fish tacos. These are a 10 out of 10. Establishment was super cute and staff is super friendly. Highly recommend. 💯

We've been coming here for several years and have been treated very well. I have a Service Dog who wears a clearly marked vest and have never had a problem until today. We were seated and a young girl came up telling us dogs aren't allowed. When I told her she was a Service Dog she said it didn't matter. She disappeared and another female came up telling us the same thing. When I explained she was a Service Dog she said it didn't matter and walked away. 15 minutes passed with others being seated and served ahead of us. We were totally ignored until my girlfriend walked up and asked if we were going to be served. After 20 minutes we finally got water, chips and salsa but there was definitely a tension in the room. We've been loyal customers for several years and have had great food and service. I sincerely hope this can be resolved in positive manner.

I ate here for my first time today. I had the carne asada burrito + rice & beans. I was blown away with the quality of the food and how great the service was! I will definitely be returning to this place as often as I can. Only complaint is that I didn’t discover this place sooner!

The manager here must suck. There were 3 ppl working a Saturday night during their busiest event of the year. They don't even take orders at the counter anymore, you have to use a kiosk. The place was filthy and the workers were rude and super slow. Then we sit 15 min and the food was cold... HOW?!?

I was doing laundry down the street and decided I was hungry so I stopped in and ordered a quarter pound HAMBURGER with extra pickle and got a quarter pound CHEESEBURGER with extra pickle. Luckily I’m not allergic to cheese I just dislike it but I had to scrap it off with my nails because it wouldn’t just peel off. I even double checked my receipt to make sure I ordered the hamburger not cheeseburger and sure enough I ordered a hamburger.

Unbelievable $3.80 now for a large iced tea with nothing but ice filled to the brim and a couple sips of tea. Almost $4 is a lot to pay for a cup of ice. When I came back and asked for a refill and explained, I was told it's an automatic ice dispenser, asked for a manager she said I am the manager it's automatic we don't give refills. So its automatic to rip you off of product. Cool. No worries I'll never return to this McDonald's I can't believe anyone would be that rude and that disinterested in me getting a couple sips of tea for $3.80. If that's the best they can do at McDonald's in Bishop there must not be much of an employment pool in Bishop. What a snotty gal. The drive thru service took so long, the gal behind me parked her car and jumped the rail to go inside. After my visit, I noticed I'm not the only one who finds their service extremely lacking. All those 1 star reviews haven't changed a thing. Sad.

Was driving through from Reno to California. Dropped by for a quick bite. Probably one of the worst McDonald's I've been too. Service was non existent there. No self serve drink, no napkins, no condiments. You have to ask for everything here. When you do ask it takes forever to get it because of under staff.

Went through the drive through. Order taker kept getting the order wrong. I asked to start over but the employee didn’t want to and was very rude. I talked with the manager, who wasn’t much better than the order taker. I asked for a discount and was told no. I said fine, keep your food, I’ll go somewhere else that is a bit friendlier

Drove through, waited a long time to order once we were at the screen. Spent a total of 25 minutes in line. When we got to the wi Dow they forgot one of our happy meals, and when my daughter opened her nuggets, it looked like me had a bite taken out of it. 🤮 This location is horrible, and I would give them zero stars if I could!

Although a few employees deserve 5 stars, there is a serious lack of training or motivation in half the staff that will leave you with the worst Starbucks drinks you’ve ever tasted and old ingredients. This Mocha Cookie Crumble has no cookie, cream, and is melted into a barely cold overpowering mocha melt.

They put sour, rotten milk in my iced coffee this morning. They had to have smelled it and decided to make it anyway.. it smelled so bad when I later opened my cup to examine. Sadly, I paid $8+ for a drink full of food poisoning.

Trying to place an order on the Starbucks app, but this location said it was not available so I had to go in They were really busy when I walked in, which I get it, but no one looked up or even said hello or be with you in a minute. I waited at the register for almost 10 minutes before someone even came to take my order ( it took almost 8 minutes before a guy making drinks said we will be with you in a minute). The drive-through person and the other and the skinny girl were too busy having a personal conversation to even say hello to anyone that walked in. it was another two minutes before employee. Jennifer finally asked if anyone was working the register. I heard a reply that that person was on break. Jeniffer said well someone needs to be working the register. She finally saved the day and came and took our order. There was three or four people waiting in line. I go to Starbucks a lot and I spend a lot of money here. This was totally unacceptable experience at this Starbucks. Management might need to look into retraining some employees.

I used to come here occasionally when the local spots were closed, but something with management changed recently. Almost every experience is absolutely awful. If you start an order with water, with an intention to add on other things after, you’re told “you can’t order that” or a “we can’t serve you water”. If you ask, it’s because you started an order with WATER…in bishop….during the heat of summer. In general the store itself is pretty grimy. Every time you walk in it smells like bad eggs and burnt coffee. It seems like no one has mopped or washed down a table ever. Go to a local place instead. At least local spots have compostable cups and friendly staff (and they give water away for FREE without being weird about it).

Be careful: The guy at the drivethrough moves the cardmaschine when choosing a tip. That is how he got an UNDESERVED tip of 5 dollars for one coffe which took quite a while prepearing.

The store front is large compared to most of the Starbucks I've visited throughout California. Plenty of seating inside and outside without feeling crowded. However, the store was very dirty. Walking up to the store there were at least 10 used Starbuck cups sitting outside on balcony - I stayed for a couple of hours and no one ever went outside to pick them up. An employee walked out of the bathroom as I was walking in...there was trash EVERYWHERE. Toilet paper in clusters throughout the entire bathroom, trash ON toilets, trash on toilet paper dispenser...EVERYWHERE. I'm assuming she wasn't concerned because when I came out she was back at the counter taking orders. This location does offer many warm breakfast items, but they don't carry the cold lunches/protein packs (pics attached). I had the steak wrap and Brewed coffee. The winner for me was the large space and ample wall plug-ins - plus it's one of the only Starbucks in the area.

We stopped here on the way back to LA from Mammoth on Sunday morning and the drive thru was absolutely packed. We opted to go inside to order (and use the restroom) and the staff was delightful. Got a couple coffees and a croissant and were back on the road!

It was everything I asked for. I asked my wife to make a bad decision for me—and purchase the greasiest thing on the menu. The Double Bacon Diablo did not disappoint. As my family and I sit in our hotel room a short walk down the road, I hear my arteries cry in pain—but my belly rejoices 🙏.

It was very good. Yummy food and sauce. Yummy drinks with good cherry coke. Other than it being a little expensive, we did see a big bug crawling on the ground.. but they had a big enough table for 9 which was very nice.

Tables and bathrooms are always clean. Food is quick. You can get refills (unlike other places in town). And the folks behind the counter are always courteous. This place rocks

I recently went through the drive-thru at Carl’s Jr., and I’ve got to say — the experience was actually pretty cool. The AI voice taking orders is a unique touch, and even though it can sometimes have a few hiccups (like needing to repeat something or a small mix-up), it’s still impressive how fast and efficient it is most of the time. But the real highlight is always the food. Everything was hot, fresh, and super tasty — just like Carl’s Jr. always is. My order came out exactly right, and the service was friendly when I pulled up to the window. If you’re patient with the tech, the rest of the experience totally makes up for it. I’ll definitely be back!

Carl's has definitely not held their prices down. Although, the guacamole bacon cheeseburger is still my favorite item, the price is getting too high. This particular restaurant was clean, friendly and fast. Their food was better than most Carl's I have visited for presentation.

The food was hot and tasty. The interior was clean. The manager was very politely proactive with customer service. Two of the new employees positively learned, from the floor manager, proper interactions with customers to insure a good dining experience for all.

Quick, fast and good service. Came rolling by after camping at twin lakes and heading back home. We wanted something hearty and filling for our long drive back. We did take out food was good and restaurant was really clean! Restrooms as well were very clean.

My wife and I shared a four piece combo. The chicken was cooked perfectly; crispy outside, very moist and tender inside, and great seasoning. The fees were also excellent. Il thoughts it was a little expensive until I saw how big the thighs were. There was plenty of food for both of us,

I have worked food service and it’s not easy but the level of rudeness and incompetence at this store has me floored. Did a mobile order for BRANDI Smith, my husband went to pick up the order, they tell him they don’t have an order for that name, nothing she can do to help. He tried to give the order number, I’m sorry, nothing we can do, we don’t have an order for that name. He pulls up to the window and shows the screenshot I sent and she said “oh Brandi, I thought you were saying Randy”!!! Are you flipping kidding me! Obviously he was pretty close to the name to account for her misunderstanding or him mumbling! Smith was said and heard correctly!

I had a chicken sandwich and it was sooooo good! I went through the drive-through and got great service. The man was very efficient, personable and friendly!

The Bishop, CA location continues to disappoint. After placing a mobile order, I waited more than 5 minutes while two employees looked at me but did nothing. When I was finally acknowledged, it came with a poor attitude—followed by receiving the wrong order. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. Management needs to step up and fix the service issues at this location.

It's one of the best KFC chicken I ever had. Chicken was fresh from local farm, juicy. Staff were friendly.

Customer service was amazing but the item I ordered off their menu wasn’t. I ordered an almond strawberry banana smoothie and it warm without any flavor. This smoothie lacked in flavor and temperature. It needed some ice and sugar! I’ll probably give it another try…

Decent healthy option in a sea of fast food and American bbq, but quality of food was a bit of a miss. Ordered a strawberry açaí smoothie but it leaned more on the strawberry side. Got an avocado tuna wrap, which was missing 2 key ingredients, the avocado and hummus, still a good tuna wrap but not what was advertised. I also didn’t speak up so that was on me, but we were on the road and didn’t have time to get it remade. High opportunity if they can figure out their food better.

Not very many vegan options or customizable options for building your own sub sandwich. We got the power wrap, chips and the tropical coconut smoothie; including tax and tip it came out to $29. Service was great! Food was good. 👍🏼

Just got 2 smoothies, 1 juice from this place, the entire place is empty & they took over 15 minutes to make our drinks. Customers that came in after us got their drinks right away. I asked them if our drinks were almost ready & they said yes then proceeded to take several minutes meanwhile the TOASTED app which displays orders & the time taken to fulfill them was blinking red & they ignored it and made other drinks first. Overall horrible experience, bad customer service & the drinks are overpriced and mediocre and lukewarm.

My boyfriend and I got cold, small bagels for $45. They were pretty dry and not filling at all, all the toppings were insanely skimpy. We also got two drinks, the citrus juice had no ice. It was pretty bad, maybe would have been tolerable with ice but tasted like a warm paste without it. The almond butter smoothie we got was decent, but the 16oz was not worth the price. It was also warm for some reason, shouldn't smoothies be cold? Pretty disappointing.

Pretty good food and coffee, could have been a bit quicker on the refills though... I'll return again. I returned in early September 2017 and had the Chili Verde breakfast. The Verde needs some more work, people are nice and coffee service was very slow. I'm done with eating here.

This place makes some high quality food which tastes almost like homemade. Add in that the servers are so eager and friendly, this place exemplifies goodness all around. My favorite breakfast dish? The chili cheese frittata! So good, and not all the grease. Can't beat it!

There are relatively few places where I've had an honest to goodness, melt-in-my-mouth burger. This is one of those places. The Village Cafe is easy to miss, as it looks small and unassuming from the street. It's only opened for breakfast and lunch, and they close at 2:00pm. My husband and I arrived on a Monday at about 12:30pm, and found the place busy, but not packed. It's a very casual place that served delicious home cooking. Our server, a young and very friendly server who was efficient and fast. She took our order, and our food was.ready in about 15 minutes. I had the Santa Barbarian burger, and I wish I'd have snapped a picture of it, but once I bit into it, I couldn't stop! This was, hands down, one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The iced tea was cold and refreshing. My husband's drink,. home-made lemonade, was a bit on the tart side, but otherwise, ok. He ordered the Highway burger, and he too, ate the whole thing. We paid for our foodand were on our way. I was able to get my husband back to work before his lunch hour was up. A word of advice, some sandwiches and burgers come as a full order or half order. I ordered the half order, and I'm glad I did. It was about the size of a burger from Carl's Jr, but much tastier! I can't wait to go back for lunch again.

Worst Stop in Bishop ever. Burgers are made with the cheapest of meat, almost 9$ and it was served on a a sunny select bun. Pastrami was so dry and totatally burnt to crust. Waste of money and still hungry!

Driving for hours we were looking for some good food and we found it here! I wish I'd ordered the half order, wasted way too much. Our server was very friendly too.

When told that we had to go to a bowling alley in Bishop for a good steak, of course, we were hesitant. But it's not bad at all! Food - Pretty decent! You wouldn't think that a bowling alley, of all places would have this good of food, but this place does! Their top sirloin was cooked perfectly to my perfection, but my partner's steak was a bit overcooked. The sides, especially the veggies, did seem lackluster, but still okay. Service - Very nice waitress. She checked in an appropriate amount of times and was very friendly. No complaints! Ambiance - It's a small-town bowling alley. Don't expect luxury, but it's also not grimey. We came in on a Friday night so we saw the typical groups you'd see: group of teenagers coming in to celebrate a birthday, elderly locals enjoying their meals, couples who seemed like on a date, families having a fun time. Great spot and a place in Bishop to check out at least once.

This place had a great feeling to it. Friendly locals and incredible food. The bar and our table were connected to the bowling lanes themselves. We enjoyed the excellent music (GNR) and watching the kids have a great time while we had some drinks. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. The curly fry things were beyond tasty, and the beer was ice cold. This just replaced the Roadhouse as our new stop when we come through town.

The food here was a nice surprise. I’m staying at the Wayfinder next door so it’s a short walk. I read reviews before heading over, people complained about the noisy bowling alley. I want early in the evening so it wasn’t too bad. I didn’t even notice the bowling from where I sat in the restaurant. I had the Ribeye with seasonal vegetables and a salad. The steak was cooked and salted perfectly. It was tender and flavorful. The service was excellent. Jenah was my waitress, she was attentive and the food came quickly. If you’re looking to have a steak be sure to check the dinner service times. I waited till after 4pm so I could have the steak. I come to Bishop a few times a month and will definitely come back to Back Alley.

My fiance and I spent our first date here, and we used to return often until a bad interaction with a waitress. The food is always good, amazing steak! Prices can be high but that's more the fault of a poorly run state with high inflation; we understand they need to stay in business and the food is good. It is unfortunate that one negative staff member can really deter customers for the long term. This happened when the rodeo was visiting town, so it was busy, which probably contributed to the attitude. I honestly don't remember her name. The waitress came up, and she was offended when my fiance blurted out his drink order while bouncing in his seat. We smiled at her and apologized if it was rude, it was really meant to be goofy. "Actually, that WAS rude," she said, and proceeded to tell us how we ruined her chance at an introduction. My fiance was apologetic and felt bad about it for the rest of the night, while this waitress sent other workers to bring our meals and swiftly walked by to slam refills on the table. By the end of the night, she had softened a little, and we even left a large tip out of pity because we saw how busy it was and assumed she must not have had a proper break. But looking back, I think apologizing to her was a mistake. The younger generation runs off wokeness and offense and apologizing for harmless behavior empowers them. Months have passed, and I've suggested trying to return to the restaurant when we go out to eat, and we always end up saying it's not worth trying and go somewhere else. Hopefully she's been corrected or maybe moved on.

We come here every time we are in Bishop. Last time we were there for dinner, I asked for Avocado on the side for my salad. I was told they don't serve Avocado after 3:00 pm. I am a type one diabetic using an insulin pump so usually carry a sealed juice bottle for emergency lows. The waitress said I had to take the juice off the table and set it next to me, because they don't allow outside food or beverage. I asked for a split plat dinner which we have gotten there before so my wife and I could split one dinner, we aren't big eaters. Never been a problem before. We were told they don't do that. We were willing to pay extra for this service but they said no. Haven't had this problem before in any of the local restaurants.

Small bowling place with modern screens. We got two hours of play and lots of fun. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions. They also have a bar and food. I got the beyond veggie burger and got full. Fries have to be added as extra FYI

We're on vacation and we chose this place because it was a warm dining experience. The only other options out there were bar and grills, fast food restaurants, South of the border foods and a few Asian. I posted a couple pictures of what we ordered, the food that we were getting was a four cheese linguine topped with chicken and a kids chicken strips with fries. Whiskey Creek also offered a Thai fusion page in their menu along with live music. The saxophone player is also offering happy birthdays for customers. We were very satisfied with the food. Also, it's a kid friendly restaurant.

I had the clam chowder, it was chunky and balcony which I liked. My cousin got the breaded chicken and it has a nice sauce with it. Ny teen for the Alfredo plate and it was plentiful and very savory. The sauce was lusciously and didn’t break when reheated two days later 🤭They had sold out of the prime rib by the time we got around late Saturday. No matter the steak my husband got was delicious and still bomb two days on quick sear on the pan again. I was drinking the meat, quite an experience really. I would definitely come back.

We were visiting Bishop as a small family reunion trip. We had just finished a photo shoot that took wayyy longer than anticipated. We walked in 30 min before closing, a group of 12 and starving. They were also the only place still open that evening. We knew they were probably not happy to see us walk in. Understandably so, ha! However, they seated us and our server was great. He promptly took our drink orders and we decided on our food quickly as we knew the kitchen was trying to close and clean up. We all ordered something different... I had the salmon, it was cooked perfectly. The only thing is I didn't read on the menu that it was served with sweet potato chips. I wasn't a fan of that option, I thought there could've been a better option. Other than that, we all really enjoyed our food and drinks from the bar were on point delicious. Totally recommend the old fashion. The whole experience was very nice. The restaurant is big and nicely decorated, felt very warm and welcoming. The staff were so gracious even though we knew we were a bit of an inconvenience. If you've ever worked in the service industry, you know that's the last thing you want to see come in at 30 min before closing! We were so appreciative, the food was really really good, everyone enjoyed their orders. We did not linger, but we didn't feel rushed to hurry hurry either. We were tired from our long photo shoot so we were ready to get back to the hotel, happy with full bellies. We stayed in Creekside, it was a great place to stay as well. We highly recommend this restaurant for the service, food and atmosphere. If we lived closer I'd be happy to go back again and again. They were very accommodating.

This folks know how to fix a steak 💯 the filet was perfectly spiced and charred on outside and juicy inside and the au gratin potatoes are to die for! The service I received from everyone was exceptional. Friendly fast service, and attentive. I could go on and on! five stars all the way.

We love coming back to Whiskey Creek when we're in Bishop! The rib eye steak +sides were wonderful, although the Pad Thai wasn't quite up to its favorable self (but still good). Our waiter forgot to bring me a soda water~ overall, a nice evening outside on the deck.

Enjoyed our burger & Fish and Chips. Onion rings were perfect with Ranch Dressing. Service was efficient & friendly.

We’re only passing through the lovely town of Bishop and asked the girl at our hotel reception the best place to eat here. She recommended here so we came. Lovely food with great portion sizes. We got the rib eye steak, onion rings, pesto pasta, crème brulee and hot fudge sundae. Everything was just beyond delicious. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Food is really good! Did order med eggs but came more over easy just like every other restaurant seem to do! Otherwise food was well prepared and delicious!

Stephany was our server and management needs to know that she treated us out of owners like family. We were quickly seated, and our order was taken as soon as we were ready. Mom got a special with eggs, hash browns and toast. I got a simple two pancake stack. Fluffy, the taste was a home run, and it hit the spot. The coffee was made right, not like mud like at many other places. We didn’t need much. We just wanted a quick bite as we took a break in our road trip. We will stop here again. It was a great decision. Thank you Stephany for bringing a stellar server. Don’t catch a cold in there though. It was freeeeeezzzing!

We ate there twice during our vacation and both times the staff was very friendly, the food was prepared perfectly and quickly, and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely stop here again. Thank you!

food was good, but service was very slow on 8/28/2025. took about 15-20 minutes for someone to finally take our order despite there being at least 3 tables full. order took about half an hour. no one came to check on the table to see if we needed more water or anything else until the end of our meal. i also ordered a stack of pancakes that took around 45 minutes to come out.

Great place for breakfast. Dinner was good. At some time in the early or mid evening hours the dining room closes and it's takeout only, wish I had known that before. Prices seem a little higher than other Denny's, but I guess that's California.

I ordered the wild Alaskan salmon and was blown away. Honestly the best seafood I had in a while. Taters were delicious and everything was cooked perfect. Really wish I had taken some photos!

Came here around 8:30pm and ordered one of their new “sizzling” skillets…well let’s just say there was no SIZZLING to it it was cold even the pan wasn’t even hot I was able to hold it. Told the worker an all she was was “we can reheat it” like no…I didn’t even eat it at all an she wouldn’t take it off our bill or even give a discount for the bad quality. Even my man’s burger wasn’t even hot it was just kinda warm…it’s like our food just sat there for a while before she brought it to us.

Red curry and crispy pork veg wasn’t bad. Not the best, but ok for being out here. Curry was not as flavorful, seemed more watered downed. Crispy pork veg tasted like oyster sauce stir fry. We also ordered their Thai tea slushie special and it was a disappointment unfortunately. We didn’t want to be mean, but I should’ve said something. $8 for each I believe and you get a 16oz cup practically half filled with air bubbles. Tasted like bad tea slurpy air bubbles. I poured my cup into my girlfriend’s after one sip and it basically filled it up as if that was the actual portion. I wanted to complain and didn’t want us to pay for it, but since we felt bad that they even have this restaurant there, we just took the drink and slowly finished it. I suggest not to get it if it’s still on the menu or I hope they made it better! :D Service was amazing though and it’s a cute shop being next to the small airport. Give them a try, but don’t expect much!

Area resident who has dined at Thai Thai about 10 times in the past 3 years. Food is very tasty, but service is sometimes a bit lacking, like yesterday when the server forgot to put in 1 of our 4 people’s order so she had to wait an extra 10 min. Also it’d be great if the sign about “10% off for United airline passengers” was posted in the restaurant as well as the passenger terminal side of the building. It’s fun to watch the aircraft out the windows of the restaurant.

Not many option for great food in Bishop but this place stands out as one of my favorites. Growing up in a cosmopolitan city on the west coast this place can hold a candle to any Thai place I have ever been to. The Pad Thai is perfect, great flavor and not all soggy with sauce, the curries are amazing and I am usually not one to sing about a rice dish but the Thai Spicy Fried Rice is the best. The flavors that come out of this place across the board are well worth experiencing even if your palate is well seasoned. An Eastside gem, thanks for being here!!!

Vegans don’t bother trying to eat here. I’ve never found a Thai restaurant that wasn’t willing to accommodate vegan modifications until this one. They flatly say -“EVERYTHING have fish sauce” - with no effort to accommodate.

Worth the extra five minute drive off of the main strip. Super yummy! Great flavors and very sizable portions.

Thai Thai – Spice and Patience Tested Had the Chicken Pad Thai here, and it was amazing—perfectly spiced, full of flavor, just the right amount of crunch. However, the table next to us? They weren’t as patient. After a solid 20 minutes of waiting, they started loudly complaining about the "excruciating delay," and then, in a dramatic flourish, stormed out. Guess they couldn’t handle the heat—or the wait. Me? I was happily munching away, loving every bite. Moral of the story: The Pad Thai is worth the wait, but some people... not so much.

Located at the Bishop Airport, it is a bit off the main highway, but worth the side trip. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They offer a variety of dishes, not only Thai. The portions are hearty and the dishes we tried were flavorful. The Drunken Noodles with chicken and the Drunken Noodles with beef were the favorite of the table. The fried rice was also very good with a serving large enough to share. The prices were a little on the high side, but it was worth it in portion size. There were five of us dining together and our meals came out staggered. The first two were halfway through their meal when the last two received theirs. It wasn't a huge problem for us, but others may be bothered by the staggered delivery for larger parties if this is the norm. We will definitely come again when traveling to Bishop.

Not very good. I knew it wouldn't be good when I saw the advertising all through the menu. That's diner mentality. Food was mediocre. No dishes that can be shared with partner like a lot of Mexican restaurants have. Service didn't come back so we struggled with a single napkin through the entire meal. Prices high for Mexican food. Would not return.

Good, but not outstanding. I had the chicken fajitas which was a little lacking in that classic fajitas flavor profile and a little under seasoned for my taste. The rice was nicely made and enjoyable. The flour tortillas were excellent. The house margaritas are good and recommended.

Requested vegetarian and they made it even it was. It on the menu. Had quesadilla with less cheese and it came out perfect and crispy and flavorful

Wow! We are visiting and there are a few Mexican places to choose from. The location is good and we’re glad we went to this place! The food was really good the chips and salsa outstanding. The margaritas…yum! I’m stuffed and we have plenty for more tommorow! Good service nice clean restaurant. We’re were just there Sunday Sept. 15 at 2:30! Try it!

Really good Mexican dishes. Nothing fancy, except the extensive tequila selection, but all the food was exceptionally tasty. The house margaritas are really good and taste of fresh ingredients, nothing artificial. Would have appreciated a little more attention from the servers so that we could have gotten water refills. Otherwise, a good experience.

Just in town for the night, tried this place because it was close and had good reviews. Lots of locals there, which is always a good sign. Food was very good, service was friendly, margaritas were great! Prices were reasonable too! Highly recommend this place!

Went for dinner and we can’t wait to come back! Ordered the Chile Verde plate and a Beef Taco Salad, both delicious, hearty portions. Boyfriend said it was the best chile verde he’s ever had. Service was quick and super friendly. Watched the staff sit down and eat together right before closing, that says a lot about a place! You can tell it’s family. Will be back soon! Also beautifully decorated inside!

I order off the app in front of the store, the app thought i was in another state. I asked the manager for assistance, she laughed in my face. I asked if there was a phone number i could call for the app. She laughed again in my face. I felt belittled and it was unnecessary. Yes i made a mistake but i was just asking for help regarding it. There is no phone number for either the app of subway itself. Or i would complain there as well. Will never be spending any money with this company again.

I live nearby and get a sandwich here every now and then, basically when enough time has gone by that I forget how bad it is. This time I ordered online. The size was wrong, meat was wrong, it wasn't toasted as requested, the bread was very old and chewy... I wonder if it's because I "only" tipped 15% or if this Subway is just terrible. The cookie was tasty though.

We got to this place, the service was not really nice, the guy behind the counter was rude and didn’t seem like he wanted to help, the soups did not taste good at all and they were overheated, had to put 3 ice cubes in each (I tried both soups). The sandwich was good and the place was clean. he didn’t offer my partner the receipt and when I came back from the bathroom I asked for the receipt and he did not wanted to give it to us. His name was David. Won’t stop there again.

Very disappointed. Came here before work and as far as subways go, this one was fine. Employees are nice and did fine. My complaint is for the actual food by subway Corp. I guess I hadn't noticed just how much product you have taken away over the years. The sandwiches are really small. Used to be a 6" was a handful, now like 3 fingers. Now they have up a shield to cover the meat window so you can't see just how small amount of actual product they are giving you. So they are taking away so much and charging you more. Im seriously disappointed and sad to say, this will be my last visit to subway. Ill go to jersey Mikes, they still make a substantial sandwich. Message to subway corporate? SHAME ON YOU!

The service is always fast and friendly, and the food is accurate. However, lately they have watered down the creamy avocado cilantro sauce a noticeable amount, while still charging extra for it. If it was only a little bit, it would be fine, but the sauce is incredibly thin and barely has any flavor. Unfortunately, this does affect the rest of the food, as it's rather plain without the sauce.

Food was ok, we ordered a burrito no tomato and no salsa, they put both things in it 😒🙄 I just didn't like the fact that both man n women can be in the same restroom and there's no privacy. Another lady and myself walked in and a man was walking out and a boy too .... weirdest experience I've ever had in a public restroom bc the doors of the bathrooms have slits and are not fully covered ...😑😑😑

This El Pollo Loco in Bishop is the best location i have ever eaten at. The food was perfect. The facility was clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful.

Seafood Mexican Fusion is what this is considered. The menu has a good selection to choose from, and some dishes are on the pricey side. I ordered the Fusion Tacos, they tasted good, looked good on the plate, and was just the right portion. Came in around 5, the staff was small so it took a little while for the water but the waitress was polite. If you're in Bishop and you don't want fast food and maybe a little quality in your meal, give it a try.

We ordered the chili relleno with beans and rice and the fish tacos with rice... Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had! Everything was very flavorful, and on point as well as the relleno really good too... No wait, got a table right away. The waitress was kool and checked on us several times if we needed anything. I'll be going back to check out more of the menu.

Finally went! Been open 4 years. I’ve been missing out! I ordered the Surf and Turf salad. I wasn’t disappointed! Exactly what I wanted. Had an Agave Margarita, very tasty! 20% alcohol. Nice bar area with 3 televisions. Very clean restaurant with excellent service. Open Tuesday-Friday 11-9, Saturday and Sunday 8-9:30pm. Going back for breakfast. Nice to have somewhere new, for me. A little pricey, but totally worth it! Went again, incredibly fish tacos! Had calamari too. I’m surprised that a place that has so many fresh seafood options has some cheap frozen calamari that look like mozzarella sticks! 😩 didn’t taste very good either.

Amazing plates. Prices definitely match the quality. The first trip off that you are in for a good meal is when the chips and salsa come out the salsa is amazing, well roasted and balanced. This is my favorite restaurant in Bishop. My fiancé and I drive a couple hours just to eat here! The chefs here know what they are doing. The food is always amazing and the restaurant is always clean. Stop by here if your ever in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

Delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic and rich flavors, the food here is worth a stop for any meal or a snack. Full menu of so many wonderful choices, and great service, as well. This will be a regular stop for us on trips to the Sierra, for sure.

Great food, this place is a hidden gem. I had the asada torta which was fantastic. Prices are very reasonable and comes with fries and and a drink. They only take cash. Definitely would recommend or stop by again!

This restaurant is AMAZING! My fiance and i drove from las vegas through bishop and were hungry for some brunch. We found this place on google and boy let me tell u it was a hidden gem. The food was so good i spent some time getting to know the owner (since there was some down time) and he let me know that its just him and his son working the business. The restaurant is dedicated to serving the highschool students near by (GO BRONCOS!). They get extremely busy thanks to them. If u have an opportunity to check them out, please do yourself a favor. The prices are extremely reasonable and u get a great portion, needless to say, the flavor was NOT lacking. They have plenty of seating inside and it was really clean!

The roast beef sandwich was AMAZING. It was not cold, shaved deli meat, it was a seasoned, hot roast, sliced in pieces on the bun. It was excellent.

The owner greeted us. Very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the tri-tip wrap. This was phenomenal and I wish we’d bought more for later. We will be back - our new go to place for food when we’re hiking in the area. Thanks for the great service. Good prices too!

Out family really enjoyed this restaurant leaving extremely full and happy. There was a bit of a wait but was worth the wait. The prime rib dinner was the special that my parents split. They were so nice to split the meal for them as you see plated in the picture to maintain the presentation of the food. I Loved my rib-eye. Perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. The jackpot Alfredo dish with garlic bread was a hearty portion and heavy that my friend could not finish. The chicken club sandwich was good per my husband. They also served on the table some herb bread with whipped butter. I definitely recommend this place but be prepare to wait. You will be able to entertain yourself until your table is ready with the casino where they will overhead page you that your table is ready. Everyone was very friendly. I hope you have a great experience as we did.

I have had 3 very good to excellent meals here since they reopened. I took off a point for leaving the foil on the baked potato since the presentation is better on other items. One time getting a cocktail took forever - we had almost finished our meals when they finally arrived. Coffee and sodas come out before the food. Servings are large, breakfast especially. Everything has been perfectly cooked and the Cobb salad came with just the right amount of dressing for me, enough to flavor each bite but not overpower the salad. Their rib eye is very flavorful. The spaghetti came with large meatballs and plenty of sauce.

Stop for a quick bite to eat. Food was just okay. Taco de asada was not good 1/5, taco de cabeza, buche, and language were much better 3.5 to 4 out of 5. Portion size were decent and red salsa had good flavor. Ceviche was not good 1/5. Overall an okay spot not great but not terrible. Not super authentic, and rice was bland.

Great food and large portions for the price! We had the fish and shrimp tacos and both were excellent. The amount of fish and shrimp were almost too much as I couldn't get the tortilla around it. There is no table service, we had to order and pay at the counter but they brought the food out to our table. We were surprised on how fast our food came out but we got there early and beat the rush. The drinks, napkins, utensils and salsa are self serve. Most of the patrons did take out so there was plenty of tables available.

It's a good stop. I'd prefer to go here, rather than fast food. The chicken burrito was good, nothing special. The establishment is in a plaza, so atmosphere is meh. Service was decent. My recommendation would be to get carryout and eat it elsewhere.

Big dining area. We had Surf and Turf and Fish Burritos. Both are great. The shrimps are good size real shrimps. It's not dry and very tasty with their sauce. Unfortunately fish is deep fried and not grilled, but I like it with cabbage. The Salsa bar is awesome. We tried all the sauces. Overall, enjoyed our dinner here and would definitely visit again if we are in the neighborhood.

What happened to this place? It was one of the best in Bishop when they first opened, now the food quality and the customer service is some of the worst in town! Ordered a bean, rice and cheese burrito and the tortilla was so stale and hard, I couldn’t bite into it and all of what was inside fell out and onto my lap. Taquitos that used to be tasty are now dry and bland. Can’t ask a question and get a straight answer anymore - I asked if the quesadilla came with guacamole, was told it was, came out with no guac, asked if I could have the guac, was told it came with the taquitos not the quesadilla even though she just told me it came with the quesadilla, and then I needed to pay $4 for a dipping sauce cup size of guac…. Get it together guys! Your prices are too high to be serving sub-par food.

Stopped here for the first time after driving by many times. Glad we stopped, got to met the owners and found out the name is a blend on Inyokern and San Diego. This was their two home town merged together. Service was quick and food was outstanding. The owner has one rule. If you act like a “karen” you have to leave. Like watching the cars go by as we sipped our beer and wine and munched on our salsa sampler. We ordered to carnitas on chips and you can tell by the pictures it was as a good as it looked. If you’re headed north out of bishop make sure to stop for some good food. Highly recommend!

Service was excellent, run by a local family with good energy. Food was also great, though it was a little pricey. But hey, that's America. The carnitas were bomb. Will be returning next time in Bishop.

It felt like we were at my cousins house who we haven’t seen in long time. I imagine they have the best ingredients for everything because of the area. Down to the sauces and salsa w chips and my horchata, prepped with love and carefully selected. The portions for the bowl of ceviche and the quesadillas are huge! My husband had the burger and it was delicious. I had the local seltzer and they showed us the reverse tap thing which was really cool. I ended up buying two shirts to remember our experience ❤️ my ceviche was still very delicious the next day and the chips were still crunchy. I would come back 👌

Had awesome conversation with the Fidels! We are from the same hometown in San Diego so it was great to see a piece of SD up here in Bishop. I also love that there is another cool chill spot to hang in Bishop since I've lived in the area for the last 6 years. Owners and customer service are great! I munched down on ceviche and veggie burger and my friend had the surf n turf burrito. Sat outside with beer under large sycamore tree to escape the heat. Chips and salsa and churros also yummy. Parmesan fries were delicious too. Again, I will come back here again and loved that it's a family business with sunny San Diego vibes.

We were just passing through Bishop on our outdoor adventure trip. Stumbled upon this place. Run by a father and son with impeccable service! You can easily sense the passion, strive for perfection, dedication to the craft, and immense courtesy this place provides. We were just expecting a convenient place to grab food then hit the road, arriving right at opening, but this place provided so much more! My friend ordered the Surf n Turf burrito and I got the special Surf n Turf burrito with chicken/lobster/carne asada. Cooked to perfection! Perfect temp on all the proteins, perfect crisp to the tortilla, ratios of all the components perfect, fresh ingredients, sauces incredible! Presentation was way more than expected (see pics). Fresh salsa for the table. Ordered the special desert too - vanilla custard filled churros! The chef/owner even gave us a heads up he going to cool them prior so the custard wouldn’t be molten lava, and when it came out it was perfect fresh/hot temp like a perfect crispy baked goods but not searing all your taste buds! We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! Will definitely be back when back in the area!!

This is a little restaurant with some class, if you drive by too fast you might miss it. The menu has a good variety, and the quality is better than it looks. I didn't get a full meal, but what I did get was great! Sriracha BBQ Ham Basket. Coming back to try other food and the beer!

This is our lunch stop between LA and Tahoe. It’s a good quality Mexican restaurant and a small market / convenience store in one. The food is high quality. I ordered the chicken burrito and my wife ordered the 3 taco meal with rice and beans. The burrito was good although it was light on the chicken- lots of rice and beans. My wife enjoyed her tacos although she said she got a few chewy pieces. Last time my wife got the birria ramen and she loved it. The eating area is an outdoor space which is really nice although there are bees back there. Could really use some bee traps so patrons don’t get constantly bothered during their meal.

This innovative bistro and Mexican grocer lies down the street from world-famous The Rubber Room (a shoe resoler for mountaineers and boulderers) and a few turns away from Bishop’s main drag, on a shady side street. The menu featured careful twists on beloved favorites, presentation is crisp, and interior design is more akin to Palo Alto or Palm Springs than Bishop. A shady terrace, cold treats, and plenty of Mexican culinary accoutrements make this spot stand out.

I went here to buy a breakfast burrito and I left with a breakfast-lunch-dinner burrito. This thing is FREAKING MASSIVE. Go here if you’re hungry. 5/5 stars for value and the lil grocery store is stocked full of fun snacks.

I recently moved to Bishop and have been so grateful for Crearéé's vegan options! The staff is always so nice and the service is fast. I usually get the vegan carnitas burrito, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of their options. They also have a well-stocked market with options that can be hard to find in other places in town. 10/10!

We got the pozole and a chorizo breakfast burrito to share. The Pozole was enough to feed us both and we ended up saving the burrito for later. Both were absolutely Amazing!!

Fresh, flavorful food with good portion sizes. We got enchiladas, tamales, and tacos. All were great! A lovely patio area that feels like a little oasis in Bishop with upbeat Latin music. Inside shop is super clean/modern with a selection of snacks and drinks. Staff was super friendly as well and helped us fill up our water bottles with ice to keep cool and hydrated on a warm day.

We stopped on our way to Mammoth. The whole family loved it and the next day we took our in-laws who also approve. The hits for us were the carne asada burritos and Chicken tacos. The burritos are stamped with their logo... Nice touch.

We had The Rolling Chef come to do the food for our Poly HS XC team and they were a huge hit with the athletes! Great food and Ismael was easy to work with to plan our event.

Genuinely one of the worst dominos I’ve ever been to. We ordered 4 pizzas. 2 of our pizzas were burnt and one of the pizzas was ordered with extra sauce well done.That one had no sauce on it and was doughy in the middle. The final pizza was so pathetically small and was mostly crust .They forgot our order of wings too and even heard them say that they were already boxed when I came I and asked if they could be cooked longer.

We have ordered food on 8/30 around 11PM for a pickup order and in google it says the store closes at 1 AM on Saturdays. But by the time we reached there around 11:50PM, the store was already closed and we couldn’t take our food. Such a useless service and wasted all of our money and they didn’t even return our money back and not even responding to our calls. Such a pathetic service from Dominos store in Bishop, CA.

placed an order with this shop today via uber eats. The tracking showed that the driver was delivering the pizza, but unfortunately the pizza never arrived. I was surprised when it was shown as delivered. I then drove to the store and saw that my pizzas were still there. They told me they didn't have a room number from the hotel, so they hadn't delivered, which I found totally outrageous. There was no apology, just that the room number was not provided, so they couldn't deliver. If I hadn't gone myself, I would have been left with the costs!

Only giving a 1 star review because zero stars isn't an option. EVERY time I've ordered delivery pizza from this place, they are 30+ minutes late. Lukewarm slop.

Said my order was ready. Went inside. Pasta still not ready. Came back in 15 minutes later. Pasta barely put it oven, told me it would be another 6 minutes. One thing to take almost an hour for 1 pizza and pasta, another thing to tell me it’s finished on the app and it’s not even close to being done when I go in. 0 stars if I could. An hour for pizza is ridiculous.

We went and had breakfast before leaving for home. We were the first people there. The atmosphere was comfortable. The food was really good. I'm normally reluctant to have chorizo and eggs in restaurants but glad I did. The eggs were so soft and flavorful.

The food was hot, fresh, and came out quickly. Great breakfast spot. Ordered bacon & eggs. Loved the 4 slices of thick, flavorful bacon. Home fried potatoes were nicely crisp. Fresh squeezed orange juice, good selection of herbal tea.

We arrived here mid-morning on a Monday. We enjoyed our meal. Our server I believe was one of the owners. She took very good care of us. The restaurant has been open for 9 months as of mid-september 2025. It's another enjoyable diner choice in Bishop. There was no wait and no hassles.

I wish we had a better experience. My son has a severe allergic reaction to tomatoes. We informed our waitress about this allergy. He was still served tomato. Unfortunately, he was unable to eat his food. We were not offered a discount or even a refund off of the bill for the mistake. I'm grateful we noticed the Tomato before he bit into the burger because our lunch would have been a trip to the ER instead. I get that mistakes happen, but the chef should have paid more attention and we should have been offered a refund or a discount on our bill.

Found this new place on our Monday morning drive to Mammoth. Very generous portions and good prices. We both had veggie omelette. The hash browns were a little better than the country potatoes. The biscuits had generous gravy, very tasty. Our server Sylvia was very friendly! I'll be back.

Unfortunately I am posting this review. We sat for over an hour before the food came out, the entire patio sat after us and was served before us. It was impossible to get a refill on water. And they forgot the toast. All of that said, the food was good.

Friday night, packed store, only two check out lines open. Complete gridlock. 35 minutes in the checkout line. This is completely unacceptable. We are visiting from the midwest where the technology is far more advanced, with 15 plus self checkout lines, in and out. If staffing is the issue, put in more self checkout, scan and go etc. like everyone else has done. Customers are quick learners and the technology is available. A business cannot continue to operate like this. Make Vons Great Again!

Products are always stocked and the store is always clean. The prices are high for my liking but their sales are great. Obviously not all employees are going to have customer service skills but the ones who do are always very helpful.

Just like any other Vons/Safeway. You can find anything you would normally find in any other city. They do sell fishing and other outdoorsy stuff that's pertinent to the area. Can also find Bishop souvenirs here. Location is right next to Kmart and has a gas station closer to the road. Happy they added self checkout again!!

There is plenty of room for oversized parking and most of the employees are super friendly.

Shelves are always picked over and empty, lines are horrendous. Never more than two lanes open, lines are down the aisles to the opposite end. Bathrooms are also impressively unmaintained.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to the $5.99 breakfast burrito served by the nice lady at the deli counter. Generously proportioned and yummy.

I find it amusing that I had to bag my own (very substantial - 6-week supply) groceries AND was charged extra for a few additional bags because I didn't bring enough of my own.
