Happy Cooker Restaurant is a charming and easygoing daytime cafe located in Georgetown. It offers a variety of American and European dishes for breakfast and lunch, with an inviting patio to enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Visitors praise the delicious homemade bread with unique flavors that vary daily. The brunch menu features delightful waffles, flavorful bacon, and satisfying country breakfast burritos. Additionally, the restaurant's quaint ambiance adds to the overall dining experience.
Cozy and welcoming place to have breakfast. Very friendly staff, most of them seemed to be family so it had a nice feel like you were a welcome guest in their home. We will definitely return next time we are in town. Simple straight forward menu with reasonable portions for a reasonable price. My eggs were cooked to perfection and the sausage was really flavorful. I also had a biscuit with gravy and they were were really flavorful as well. My wife enjoyed her bagel sandwich as well, however she felt like the potatoes were not really needed just the sandwich would have been fine. Located in the historic Georgetown downtown it is just minutes from the Georgetown Loop RR so its a nice place to eat before or after you ride the train.

We are a family of five. We were able to come here without a reservation and there was plenty of space. It was a beautiful day and we ate outside. There was also plenty of room inside. This place is dog friendly. Not only was our dog allowed here, but they also offered him water. This place is a combination of breakfast plus sandwiches. They have these amazing plates with eggs, bacon, and waffles. The biscuits and gravy are also very very good. My wife and I had the BLAT sandwich and the chicken and Gouda sandwich. This feels like a family owned restaurant. The service was great and the price is a reasonable.

This place was adorable! Went here for breakfast on a sunday morning with a party of 2 and had no wait (I arrived around 9:30am). I had the French toast and my boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy. Both were DELICIOUS! I had 2 mimosas and they were not expensive and made perfectly 😁!

Cutest spot with a big, garden-style patio and cute ambiance right in downtown Georgetown. Walkable from the shops. Breakfast/brunch-style restaurant and some of the best service we’ve had in the area. We had a great waitress who was so patient with our kids and brought out sidewalk chalk for them. Eggs Benedict and waffles were yummy. Highly recommend!
Leigha F — Google review
I was in awe, it’s such a cute, cozy place. I loved the town and this restaurant just fit in the vibe of the town. We had california benedict for breakfast as we did not want to eat meat and it tasted really good with fries and some fruits on the side. We went on 15th sept 2025. Highly recommend this one if you are in town.
Shruti M — Google review
I had very high hopes for this establishment and unfortunately wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. I'll go from start to finish. Upon entering the restaurant we were not greeted. Not a "hi", "welcome", "will be right with you" nothing at all. We waited close to 10 minutes to get seated. Myself and two kids. We would have left but it was pouring!! Once seated we were given our menus. There isn't a kids menu. So yes, I paid adult meal prices for kids who you know aren't about to eat an adult portion. That was very disappointing. I ordered a country burrito. Eggs, bacon, potatoes in a flour tortilla smothered with sausage gravy. I wasn't to tell it it was amazing. But I have no idea. They were out of gravy. That's cool. Smoother it in green chili. We all know that sounds great. You know what I ordered. What I got was scrambled eggs , chili and cheese in a tortilla smothered with the green chili. No bacon. No potatoes. Very disappointing. As far as atmosphere. There's nothing worth noting really. A bit outdated. I think my next trip to Georgetown needs to include a different meal location. Go now. Eat good food. Be kind. And, enjoy.

The establishment offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of the comfort of a grandmother’s home, where one can enjoy freshly prepared, delicious meals. The service is exemplary staff members are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and efficient, with special care extended to families and children. The venue maintains its charming, old-fashioned character, evoking the pleasant nostalgia of bygone days

We were seated right away and we ordered breakfast and one ordered lunch. Their prices are reasonable, food was good, and we didn't have to wait long. It's at the end of 6th street with patio seating too.

Bar & grill
Nestled in Georgetown, CO, Cooper's on the Creek offers a stylish dining experience with an outdoor seating area and a bar. The menu features Colorado-inspired American cuisine, including fresh seafood, burgers, salads, and grilled dishes. Guests can enjoy a relaxing view of the bubbling creek and mountains from the enclosed patio.
This spot was perfect for an evening spent out with my girlfriends. I ordered the Green Chile Shrimp and Grits which I highly recommend. The Green Chile dip, Truffle Mac and cheese and Truffle fries were all delicious. The flavors were absolutely amazing. I very much appreciated the great wine list. The service that we received was exceptional, very attentive and super friendly.
Michelle N — Google review
Stopped here looking for a cute mom and pop restaurant. This fit the description perfectly! Their back room overlooking the river is beyond gorgeous and they have a great heater in case it’s cold. To start out the Brussels sprouts were fantastic and had so much flavor as they use a special chili sauce mixture. I got the candied hog burger and it did not disappoint! The flavors were immaculate and the beef was fresh and thick. Definitely a more meaty burger. The fries were a huge disappointment. They were more like chips as they are way too thin so all u eat is fried crunch. The cooper burger on the other hand was not as flavorful and was just beefy. I recommend the hog burger for sure. Our waiter was extremely friendly and seemed happy to be there. Everything was great until he left us with the check and never came back to retrieve it. We have to walk to the front. I’m sure it was a mishap but still was inconvenient. I would definitely recommend stopping here and then exploring Georgetown!
Gabriel B — Google review
The service and ambience here was great, especially in the covered patio that looks out over the creek. The waitress was really helpful and explained everything on the menu that could be made gluten free (see highlights in the photos). The fryer is also Celiac-safe and they have gluten free buns for the burgers or sandwiches. I only got a drink and an order of truffle fries, but next time I want to try a burger because they looked delicious.
Kellie C — Google review
This place is cute with seating outdoors by the creek. Best bet is to reserve a table as this place has incredibly limited seating. We ended up indoors as we were earlier than our reservation(travel time was way shorter than anticipated) which is our bad. They have a day menu, bar menu and an after 4 menu. We all enjoyed the meals we got. My only real complaint is the pricing. Dunno how local folks get to enjoy this place as it’s kinda hefty. Due to this, we probably won’t come back as a family but perhaps on other occasions.
Keeley D — Google review
We came here for a quick lunch after a ride on the Georgetown Railroad. Cooper’s on the Creek was one of a few places open for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The inside is cutely decorated and clean. The restrooms were nice and clean. The food was good. The Cooper Burger was good. The fries were a little too greasy for my liking. Overall it’s a good place to stop for a good bite to eat. Everyone was super friendly.

Our 1st visit to Coopers, Amazing! We were greeted with smiles that continued throughout our entire dinner. We had dinner indoors (too hot out that day). We started with House Margarita and a Moscow Mule. Both excellent. I tried the Ribeye Steak with Fries (actually comes with Duckfat Fingerling Potatoes - due to gut issues i didn't chance it - maybe next time). Steak was fabulous, cooked & seasoned perfectly. Best I've ever had! My husband loved the Green Chile Truffle Mac & Cheese (hatch chile), definitely had a kick but DELICIOUS! Banana Cheesecake, no room left, but shared it. Most impressive was the great service by the entire staff! Michael, our server, fun FABULOUS. Very attentive, constantly checking on us. Lots of smiles and no hesitation with any dietary or other requests. So many great food options on the Menu, check them out! Truly impressive! We will definitely be back!!!! THANK YOU! Highly recommended!

A Relaxing Outdoorsy Experience If you’re looking for a laid-back dining spot with a scenic touch, Cooper on the Creek is a great choice. Nestled by a small, tranquil creek, the setting offers a refreshing outdoor experience that pairs perfectly with a good meal. The friendly staff and simple yet well-curated menu make it an easy pick for a casual outing. A perfect start to the meal is the Green Chili Dip with house potatoes and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts—both flavorful and satisfying. When it comes to entrees, the burgers steal the show, with the Cooper’s Burger being a must-try for its juicy, well-balanced flavors. Burgers pairs with colorful cocktails perfectly. For dessert, while the Crème Brûlée didn’t quite hit the mark, the cheesecake was a solid choice with a creamy and delicious finish. The restaurant is well-maintained, with clean restrooms, and the entrance faces northwest. Overall, I recommend this place for anyone who enjoys good food in a relaxed, nature-filled setting, and I’ll definitely return for another meal by the creek.
Naveen D — Google review
We decided to stop by Cooper’s on the Creek for an early lunch before our train ride on the Georgetown Loop. The option to sit by the creek really drew me in, and it didn’t disappoint. Upon entering the restaurant, it was a bit dimly lit, but by 11:30 it was already filling up fast. Luckily, we snagged a table right by the creek, with open windows allowing us to soak in the fresh air and the soothing sound of the water. Our server was friendly and brought us waters right away while we browsed the menu. Although the kitchen was out of soup and a few other items, there were still plenty of appealing options to choose from. We decided on some local draft beers, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts to start, and the Bistro Chicken Sandwich. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying. The back patio really started to fill up while we enjoyed our meal, so we felt fortunate to have the perfect spot by the creek. For a local restaurant, It’s a place I’d recommend for a peaceful, tasty meal with a beautiful view!

Restaurant
Cabin Creek Brewing is a spacious brewery and restaurant located right on the stunning Georgetown Lake, offering breathtaking views throughout the year. The establishment boasts a diverse menu with appetizers and artisanal beers. While it could benefit from additional entertainment options like pool tables or dart boards, the overall ambiance is enjoyable. Visitors can expect friendly service and reasonable prices. The brewery's location near the picturesque lake adds to its appeal, making it an ideal stop for beer enthusiasts traveling through the area.
Great food! Everything tasted fresh. Highly recommend the Pretzel with Beer Cheese sauce, Short Rib French, Pizza with Mushrooms and Beignets with powdered sugar and raspberry sauce. Nice beer selection. Our waitress, Clara, was great! Very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back when we're out this way.

The food was really good. They were very busy but the tables would come open and the servers were quick in cleaning them off and getting people seated. They have open seating indoor and outdoor. The biggest difference is that for outdoor seating you have order at the bar. For indoor seating the server will come and serve you. The views of the creek from the patio are amazing . Lots of gluten free options including freshly with gluten free bun option and cauliflower crust for their pizza.

First time here. I ordered the build your own flight, choice of 4 beers. All were tasty! Service was really good, staff was very friendly and efficient. Shpit out to Allison with the flower tattoo on her ear. Ordered chili cheese tater tots, yummy 😋 will definitely be back. Oh, and did i mention the absolutely beautiful location?!
Adrienne C — Google review
This place is awesome. Great outdoor seating. Good indoor as well. There are plenty of food choices and many more beer choices. Even though the place was packed, we still found seats. The beer was great but the pours were small (only complaint). It’s dog friendly. Sitting by the lake and having a beer here makes any day better.
Mindy R — Google review
This place is a gem along the water, with a breathtaking backdrop. There was plenty seating, though visited on a Friday afternoon. They offer two preset flights, and the third option is a pick-your-own. If you’re into flights, you’ll love them. Their fish and chips (not pictured) were absolutely delicious, especially with their homemade sauce.
Tam H — Google review
We found out about Cabin Creek Brewing through a YouTube video that raved about the spectacular views it offered and decided to give it a shot, and were not disappointed. The mountains were a stunning backdrop, and the water was crystal clear. The food was pretty great too :) there was a lot of rush and it was hard to find a table. The staff was very proactive.
Janaki S — Google review
Excellent location. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent beers. Excellent food. Not enough servers. Only one guy trying his best to manage 20 tables. Absolutely will return to try more seasonal beers and sit on the patio in warm weather. Also the fries are really good.
Derek M — Google review
Beautiful Setting, Disappointing Food & Prices We stopped at Cabin Creek after a lovely walk around Georgetown Lake an easy, family-friendly trail with butterflies, fish, and even mountain goat spotting. The restaurant has an unbeatable location right on the water with amazing views and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food and pricing didn’t match the setting. Several beers were out of stock, so I switched to their lavender lemonade, which was refreshing and delicious. We ordered light, just chips and queso, chicken tenders for the kids, a beer, a cocktail, and 3 sodas, but the bill came to over $70. The queso tasted like store-bought Velveeta with basic tortilla chips, and the chicken tenders felt more like carnival fare than a sit-down appetizer. For the price, we expected better quality and more originality. Worth stopping for a drink and the view, but I’d skip the food next time.

Pho restaurant
Phở Bay Georgetown is a charming restaurant located in Georgetown, offering a diverse menu of American and European dishes alongside a full bar. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with ample indoor and outdoor seating available. Visitors have praised the delicious Vietnamese cuisine, particularly highlighting the flavorful pho with tender beef. Additionally, the restaurant offers vegan and vegetarian options, including delectable veggie broth for pho. Guests also appreciate the friendly service and scenic location next to a creek.
The veggie broth was rich and flavorful, packed with plenty of vegetables, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. The chicken fried rice was perfectly cooked, with great texture and taste. Service was quick, making it a great spot to dine after a long day of skiing.

The food came out super fast and the staff was so friendly. There’s plentiful parking and probably best food in town. Recommend you try the spring rolls!

My 2 kid's and I went to have lunch after doing the Georgetown loop. We got a bunch of appetizers and one of my kids got pho. Everything was delicious. The food came out fast and our server was very kind to my kids. We had a great experience and would gladly go again.
Kim W — Google review
Ordered pho with chicken and vegetable broth, and seafood pad thai. We have Alpha Gal meat and dairy allergy... when we ordered we asked about ingredients and they understood and were helpful.
Rebecca H — Google review
Best pho I have ever had! Awesome location on the creek. In the warmer months, you can sit on the patio to enjoy the sound of running water while you eat. Love bringing my friends and family here when they come to town to visit.
Dawson — Google review
The staff was really kind and wonderful. Unfortunately, when it came to the food, we didn’t enjoy it. The Pho soup, which was the main reason we originally came, wasn’t tasty at all – it was bland and sweet. My boyfriend ordered noodles with beef, but unfortunately that wasn’t good either. We didn’t even feel full afterwards.
Adriana J — Google review
Who doesn’t love pho on a cold day? Location is great, the servers are polite and the pho is good; broth is delicious! They add a good amount of meat (I ordered the combo) per portion. The reason I gave them four stars is that there was a lot of fat in their meats. Some of the pieces of brisket were inedible because of the fat. Aside from that, if you’re driving through, not a bad place to have pho.
Max P — Google review
Highly recommend! This place should be known for their Pho, it's delicious! Being from the PNW, I've been looking for good pho and I found it. They care about hospitality and customer satisfaction. The team is friendly, quick, and attentive.

Whether you're looking for a break from traffic or seeking an unforgettable dining experience, 511 Rose is the perfect choice with its great food, flowing drinks, and exceptional service.
Located in downtown Georgetown, CO. We stopped here for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We had the pork sandwich plate which includes a side of beans, coleslaw and potato salad. The pork is smoked on-site and was very tasty! We also had a pumpkin ravioli dish roasted pecans and blue cheese which was also very good. Great atmosphere/decor.

Great spot in Georgetown! The burger was really tasty, and the place itself is beautifully decorated and super cozy. Prices are reasonable too, which is a big plus. The lady who served us wasn’t very friendly, but to be fair, she seemed overwhelmed—out of nowhere, the place got packed, and she was doing almost everything by herself. They could definitely use one or two extra staff members. That said, the food was well-prepared, not fancy, but delicious. Totally worth it, guys!
Igor A — Google review
Found this hidden gem on Google, entering Georgetown. My salmon appetizer was AMAZING. I liked my mom's brisket and sis in law liked her chili. The macaroni was okay. It wasn't the best I have ever had or the worst. The female bartender/server was very sweet. I would DEF recommend and return next time I drive through Georgetown, Colorado.
Joshua G — Google review
This place is great. The decor is unique without being tacky. The photos are stunning and the artist who takes them is local. They also do love music but we weren't there for that. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. Very glad we came in on our stop in Georgetown. The food poc is the BBQ platter.
Jared S — Google review
I just wanted to take the time and give this establishment a praise! We visited later in the shift, near closing, but still got served promptly, and happily. Our food/drinks were the best we had on our vacation, no comparison. I encourage anyone/everyone to get the hangar steak. You won’t regret it! The service, food, decor, and atmosphere are enough for 5 stars. All that being said, these things make a restaurant work, but the staff/owner is what makes this restaurant a special experience. You can really feel the joy and passion of everyone you encounter. Something truly special and rare. We came in for a meal, and left with very fond and cherished memories. As they say, “Gold is where you find it” Thank You 511, until next time!
Meg M — Google review
While no place is perfect, this place has a character that some would miss. Crazy cool memorabilia all around the place. Some people wouldn't even recognize, but some of that memorabilia is worth thousands of dollars. Really small place that allows for the kind of atmosphere they're gone for. Serving a small group quality products.. starting with the incredible bourbon collection they have. It's a bit pricey but Vanwinkle 12 year, Weller 12 year Weller antique, Weller special reserve George T Stagg, EH Taylor, Eagle rare. I mean these are hard to find anywhere in the country. Service was good, but only 1 server. We could not figure out what was going on. There was other ladies that were there and knew their way around the bar, but not helping the 1 server. So it took a long time to get our order in. The food was fantastic, One of the best Rubens I've had in a long time, in fact only 2 better in the country by my judgement so far. Mac&Cheese is perfect, home cut fries needed a little seasoning, but very good. Got to meet the owner, I simply had to complement him on the Bourbon selection, as only Bourbon people understand. We will definitely come back and spend more time here.

During a weekend trip to the Georgetown/Idaho Springs area, we stumbled upon End of the Line, an ice cream shop that also served coffee and tea. With a beautiful backdrop, this friendly establishment offered a wide variety of souvenirs in addition to their tasty treats. The shop had an impressive selection of ice cream flavors and beverages like hot chocolate and apple cider.

End of the line is a cool souvenir shop in the mining town of George Town they have a lot of shirts, hoodies, and other souvenirs. They also have a counter where you can sit and get a home made milkshake made by and original soda jerk machine. Prices are a little high but that’s to be expected in this area

Went in to get milkshakes with three friends. We ordered two small milkshakes, cookies and cream and a chocolate. First we were told by the two girls working that they were out of small cups so they only had large shakes available. We asked if they could just put a small amount in the cups because we didn’t want larges. After discussing they agreed to do that. We had to wait quite a while to get it because there were a couple people waiting in front of us. The service was pretty slow, but that wasn’t really the issue. We were on a time crunch to get to the Georgetown Train but we patiently waited. We were finally handed our two milkshakes and one of them was pistachio, so they had to remake it. We left and drank them as we quickly ran to our car to make it on time to the train ride. The milkshakes….HORRIBLE! I have never had a milkshake I didn’t like, but these?? They were extremely watery. The cookies and cream milkshake tasted like straight up milk with some Oreos crumbled in it. The chocolate milkshake tasted 100% like slightly frozen crappy chocolate milk. I LOVE homemade, pure chocolate ice cream, but after trying both of those milkshakes, DO NOT recommend getting those flavors. Maybe their ice cream is good??? But the milkshakes were the absolute worst ones all four of us have ever tasted. If we weren’t in such a hurry to get back to our car, we would’ve marched right back and asked for a refund or something else because they literally went straight to the trash. They were expensive too which sucked to throw them away, but they were disgusting and so liquidy. We were visiting CO, but our friends were local. We decided that whenever we visit there again, or our friends go, we will definitely go across the street.

We were up in the Georgetown/Idaho Springs area for the weekend. We were trying to waste time before dinner, so we started looking around the little shops. Ended up in here and saw they served coffee and tea. Ordered a couple of teas, and asked the guy working there for some suggestions on what to do to waste time. He told us to stop by Alpine Restaurant because they have some pool tables and arcade games, and also to go up Guanella Pass to Clear Lake. Neither of them disappointed! We decided to pop back in on our way home from our weekend getaway to get a couple more teas, hot chocolate, and an apple cider and to tel him thanks for his suggestions. My kids said their drinks were made with love. Thanks again!

I went in for an ice cream cone while waiting for the Prospector Bus to take me back to Dumont. My little buddy,Jr. my chihuahua was sitting on my walker like he always does in stores and no one said yeah or neh about it,good because I am 66 and was not in a mood to argue! I got a rocky road cone on a regular cone for $4.15,which lasted perfectly to when the bus came . It's Awesome homemade ice cream and everything else in the store will definitely put a smile on your face, including the excellent service by the staff! The only thing I didn't care for was the nuts in the rocky road we're slivered almonds and I was expecting walnuts just cuz that's the way Gramma would do it! Nice an cozy store, not one of the children in the store were crying or misbehavi ng, all had smiles ,because they were enjoying it as much as I was! It's a magical place ! If you go thru Georgetown don't miss this place.

Their delectable pies are outstanding, and their inventive cocktails surpass the ordinary. Moreover, the complimentary popcorn adds an extra touch of delight to the overall experience. If one had the privilege of residing nearby, they would undoubtedly become regular patrons of this charming bar.
What an incredible evening! This place is not only fantastic, it may be the best bar I've been to in decades. Too bad for me I live in Mass, too bad for you it's only open Friday and Saturday (I think - memory a bit cloudy...) The espresso martini was sooo good, I tried nothing else; except the complementary truffle popcorn (what) yes amazing in everyway. If that wasn't enough, the host and bar man were super gracious. Can't wait to visit again! Warning, you may not be able to see any of Georgetown if you go here first!

Great drinks, great vibe. Pies are delicious. Every now and then they have a yummy enchilada pie. Ranch Waters and the Garden of Eden are my favorite drinks. They have a post outside to tie the pups up to. If you’re in Georgetown, this is a must do. FYI they are only open on Friday and Saturday. Enjoy!

Fun atmosphere and great drinks! Owners Veronica and Les treated us more like old friends than customers! Will definitely be back the next time we're in Georgetown!

This place was an absolute GEM!! The owners are so sweet and welcoming. Everyone seemed to know each other and they were very friendly with us being tourists. The pie we ordered was amazing, the drinks are not your average cocktail, they are even better! And the popcorn served as a snack is just the cherry on top of it all. If we lived there, we’d be back every weekend!

The service was exceptional, and the cocktails were impeccable. The key lime pie was also superb. I can be indecisive when presented with such a good cocktail menu, and the bartender was great at helping me find the right cocktail for my mood. Highly recommend for anyone who likes craft cocktails in a cute environment. We will definitely be back.

Best pie, best drinks, best owners. Not a single bad vibe. If you have the opportunity to stop in it's a blessing!

Great drinks, friendly bartenders, friendly crowd, and one of the only places actually open late in Georgetown. It says they close at 10:00pm, but they really close when they start to slow down. We were there till like 11:00 and people were still hanging. Also dog friendly.

A gem of a speakeasy in the heart of Georgetown. Great place to unwind after work, or after a day in nature. The mixed cocktails are the best you'll find in Clear Creek County. The freshly baked pies are always delicious and different every time we stop by. Awesome place!

Georgetown Market is a charming Christmas market that takes place during the first two weekends of December. Visitors can enjoy carriage rides, roasted chestnuts, an outdoor artisan market, caroling, and even a visit from Saint Nicholas. The market also serves as a convenient stop for travelers passing through town, offering clean facilities and friendly staff. Additionally, it features a deli counter with delicious items such as sandwiches and fresh produce.
Convenient location to grab anything you need while passing through town, very clean, bathrooms, and establishment. There’s a cute little creek behind the store to take cool pictures, or to have a little break. The employees here are very cheerful and they all deserve big raises. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great grocery selection with fair price. Somehow it’s got everything I needed in the tiny footprint of a gas station store — including but not limited a few sandwich ingredients, and after reading the reviews I realized I should have bought one from the deli! Will definitely try next time. Got the corned beef and sauerkraut from the deli, though, and it was delicious.

The best place in Georgetown to get groceries. They always have fresh produce as well. If you get lucky, they might have some fresh homemade banana bread as well! Ask at the register!

Great spot away from the highway exit. Awesome options down to pasta salad and good fresh produce! Solid owners/employees.... drive a couple blocks on your ski pit stop and give em some money!

In a town with few dining options (especially on Tuesdays) this store has a nice selection of foods. In town for skiing this week and literally no take out places and the weather was yucky. Found some healthy choice and fried rice - this shop was a lifesaver.

A Whistle Stop Cafe is a charming, small restaurant with a cozy, hometown atmosphere that offers generous portions of delicious home-cooked meals. The friendly staff provides excellent service and the prices are reasonable. It's an ideal spot for travelers looking to take a relaxing break during their journey. Despite its size, the cafe's welcoming ambiance and tasty classic breakfast make it worth any potential wait for seating.
We stopped by on our way to Glenwood Springs and I gave the burrito smothered in ghost pepper cheese a try. Staff were friendly, prices were good, and the food was too, I am glad we came here.

Whistle Stop Cafe is a perfect quaint blue building serving breakfast and lunch. It's hard to miss this blue building after exiting the first exit into Georgetown from I-70 and then heading west through town. Our group used this location as a meeting point for breakfast right before we went up for Argentine pass, which is right outside Georgetown. The breakfast menu offered quite a bit to choose from, most of it being the traditional southren breakfast with the option for a smothering in Colorado's green chili. The food was delicious and the portion size was definitely worth the price. It wasn't too expensive, but you do get some good quality food! The only reason I gave a four star rating was because the floor was pretty dirty, I typically don't mind those types of things, but this particular time I was in flip-flops and I could feel the grime get on my feet. Other than that, it's a fantastic place to make a quick stop for breakfast, brunch or lunch!

Karen & Rachel welcomed us with smile and the best breakfast I've had in Colorado. Fresh, Local, Fast and Cheap. Come and try this place...its better than the Ritz Carlton at Beaver Creek and the Grand Hyatt in Vail. Eat here and save $100.00

My husband has stopped here whenever he is passing through. When we took our family to the Georgetown trail, we we're hoping to score a seat on 4th of July. We squeezed in before they closed and enjoyed a yummy lunch. Very small space but beautiful mountain views. I had the Reuben and he had a chicken fried steak, the Reuben was out of this world yummy. They halved a cheeseburger for our kids.

I worked with Kathy and her wonderful team to order a catering order in advance for a bachelor party of 10. If I could give her 6 stars, I would. The positives include: Another well known barbecue location recommended Scooter’s. Kathy and her team were very communicative throughout the process and made ordering and pick up very simple. The food was very, very good. Great smoky flavor and cooked perfectly. Meeting the family and team was also just a great experience as they are very blue collar and honest. Couldn’t have been happier with our purchase and experience!

Little small shack you order inside and go get sitting outside. Wear sunscreen because it gets hot fast. Dog friendly. Has 1 bathroom inside. Food is fantastic. Nice adventure! Parking is limited, best to park across street. Opens at 1130, gets busy by noon.

Super friendly staff. Pulled pork is fantastic, sauces are on point and can we just go ahead and talk about this side okra. Hands down biggest side portion ever and they are great as well!! This GA guy APPROVES! Glad I I’ve in Idaho Springs now and got this a short distance away

Looked for bbq on the way from Glenwood springs to estes park and luckily came across this place. Staff were very helpful and helped me decide on a lunch of sausages, mac n cheese and coleslaw and a takeaway of turkey sandwich for later. Lunch was perfect, nice spicy sausages, delicious mac and refreshing slaw. Couldn't be happier Turkey sandwich was great for me later on, packed nicely deconstructed to keep neat 5 hours later.

My grandmother and I ordered two different meats (pulled pork & brisket) and four different sides (Jalapeño potato salad, baked beans, fried okra, and homecut fries). Absolutely every single dish was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and delicious. The owner and her two sons were cheerful and friendly. The atmosphere was homey and relaxed. Loved everything!

This is some of the best barbecue we’ve had in Colorado. Dare - I say it even rivales Texas!! Very friendly service limited seating inside but a nice park is right across the street with picnic tables. They do have outdoor seating as well. All the sauces were amazing. Our favorite was the smoked chicken and brisket. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone great stop coming down the mountains back to Denver! My 10 year old daughter said that it was out of this world life-changing!

**Restaurant Review: Scooter's BBQ in Georgetown, Colorado** If you find yourself cruising along I-70 and looking for a tasty pit stop, make sure to swing by Scooter's BBQ in Georgetown. This hidden gem has gained quite a reputation for its delicious barbecue offerings, and after my visit, I can definitely see why. Let’s start with the star of the show: the pulled pork sandwich. Every bite is an explosion of flavor, featuring tender, smoky pork that melts in your mouth. Scooters has truly mastered the art of barbecue, serving it with a deliciously tangy sauce that perfectly complements the rich, smoky meat. It’s comfort food at its best—definitely a must-try! If you’re in the mood for something different, the smoked chicken is another excellent choice. Cooked to perfection, the chicken boasts a beautiful smoky flavor with a juicy tenderness that keeps you coming back for more. Paired with one of their signature sauces, it’s a dish that certainly doesn’t disappoint. Now, let's talk sides. The honey vinegar cole slaw at Scooter's is simply awesome. It offers a delightful crunch and a sweet tang that balances perfectly with the richness of the barbecue—an absolute must as a side! And let’s not overlook the generous portion of fries that accompany your meal. Crispy and golden, these fries are a satisfying addition that could easily be a meal on their own. Scooter’s variety of sauces really shine, too. Each one has its own unique flavor profile, allowing you to customize your meal to suit your taste preferences. Whether you like it sweet, spicy, or tangy, there's a sauce for everyone. In conclusion, if you’re driving on I-70, making the stop at Scooter's BBQ in Georgetown is a decision you won’t regret. The quality food, friendly atmosphere, and charming mountain backdrop make it a perfect place to unwind and indulge in some fantastic BBQ. Don’t miss out on the pulled pork sandwich or the smoked chicken—they're sure to leave you satisfied!

Subway is a popular casual counter-serve chain known for its build-your-own sandwiches and salads, offering health-conscious options. Customers often praise the friendly and accommodating staff who are attentive to their requests. While some may receive suggestions for additional items like bacon, many find that these additions complement their meals well. Despite occasional cleanliness concerns with the tables, improvements have been noted in some locations. Overall, Subway continues to attract patrons with its good food and pleasant service experiences.
I've been ordering the same meatball sub for over 10 years from 100 different subways, it is always a mess at disaster all over the place dripping down my elbows all over my wrapper covering in my face. The woman they have working here Haze I believe her name is is the only person that has ever made it to where it's not messy still loading on all the stuff that I like on there, but not dripping down my elbows! 10 out of 10 would recommend what a great job!
Dillon S — Google review
I like the subway salad, but they're bread. Isn't that good? And they still put a lot of chemicals in their food
The R — Google review
I have gone there several times on different days. Unfortunately it has been a total disappointment. One of the last times I went in the clerk/ manager at Subway was totally rude with the customer. While she was making his sandwich she was rude and slammed the ingredients around just because the customer did not know any english. I also called her out on her rudeness and also advised the gas clerks on her behavior. Totally unprofessional in her part especially if she calls herself a manager. Definitely not going there again for Subway. The last time I went in was one morning and it was already after the opening hours. The Google maps also showed that they were open as well. I went in approximately 7:35 am or so. I asked the gas clerk if the Subway was open and the clerk from Subway said that she would be open approximately 15 to 20 minutes after the hours showed already being open. I couldn't wait just because I'm on a time limit. Why do you post your hours of operation and still be closed. Well, definitely don't recommend this establishment. Go to a different Subway or Jersey Mike's restaurant. I recommend them instead.

Got here and was told they do not take coupons. BUT.. as the attached photo shows, the subway app certainly takes coupons at this subway store. So, I did not find this out until they took us for $26 on 2 mediocre sandwiches from the 2 uninterested workers there. So, since the app allows it, the owner of the franchise just wants to shake down the customers. Order from the app and if you don't get your sandwichs call the local cops that this store is stealing from you.
Crumudgeon G — Google review
This place is SUSS... Went in a week ago. The man that was working said they didn't except coupons. Went in today for gas station stuff and there was a differant person working at the subway, so I asked if they except coupons and I was told yes they do as long as it scans. 🤔 So was the 1st guy telling the truth and the scanner just doesn't work??? Do you except coupons or not?? Maybe to the right people you do

Best breakfast in Georgetown! Highly recommend the fluffy latte and the breakfast burritos. The meal was delicious and the restaurant itself was so cozy and fun. We had a petite waitress in her 60s/70s who made our entire meal. She was sharp, funny and checked in with us frequently.

Charming restaurant with scratch made breakfast and coffee bar. Highly recommend the Biscuits and Sausage gravy (buttery biscuit and gravy loaded with sausage), Breakfast Burrito (w/awesome pork green chili), and Avocado Toast (very fresh and tasty). Great spot here in Georgetown for a quick bite, drink, and espresso! Food is home-made tasting and delicious. Very cute and homey decor, 10/10 would recommend!

Firstly, the breakfast and beverages we ordered, were good. 3 restaurant staffers we came in contact with, that seated us, brought us our food, water were very nice. The waitress that said she was going to seat us, and took our order, was rude and acted very inconvenienced by us. She told us multiple times that they were very busy, and tried to rush us out of there(we were in and out in under 35 minutes so no, we weren't holding our seats hostage). My wife requested a to go cup for her hot beverage that we paid for, and the waitress had an attitude about it. The whole reason we needed a to go cup is because she was rushing us out. She pointed out the tip she wanted me to pick on the screen, twice. I politely entered my own custom tip without engaging her. I still entered a reasonable tip, since the other staff was nice.

The food is a highlight, with Kevin serving up his family's handed-down southern fried chicken recipe that has garnered rave reviews for its perfect crunch and juicy tenderness.
One stop shop and great food.... We must have looked hungry the owner noticed us walking around and offered to open up to feed us. Not what you would expect walking in. Cool little house (possibly haunted) we questioned if we should have gone somewhere else, that is until the food hit the table, AMAZING!!! Huge portions you definitely won't leave hungry! The service was top notch. Family owned and the absolute sweetest people. Once your done eating don't miss out on his little shop, coolest (and cheapest) pipes and other gifts. This is definitely worth a trip back all the way from Nebraska for us.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat while while my wife and I were in Georgetown without expecting too much. Happy to say that this place blew us away. Everything from the amazingly friendly owners, Autumn and Kevin, and the old-school charm of the restaurant to the wonderful service and food. And lets talk about that food! Kevin dishes up the best fried chicken in Colorado, a handed-down southern family recipe. Not over fried, not greasy, perfect crunch to the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I went without slaw on mine, but then added it to the sandwich, which took it to another level. Then there's that pulled pork sandwich. Some of the best I've had during my travels. We purposely didn't eat it all so we'd have it to enjoy for lunch the next day. So, if you're hungry and in town, this is a must-stop. We'll most certainly be back.

Nestled in the charming town of Georgetown, Mountainbuzz Pizzeria is a delightful spot that captures the essence of laid-back dining. After a fantastic trip to Colorado, highlighted by time spent in Beaver Creek, we stopped on the way back to the airport in lovely Georgetown for lunch, and stumbled on this cafe. Fast and easy take out for pizza. We got 2 16 inch pizzas and a garden salad. Would not recommend the salad. It was good, but not worth $8, maybe $4. The pizza was good, 6-7 out of 10. It filled the pizza void and worked but wasn’t our favorite. Not the worst but not the best either. Pick up was easy, people were friendly. I would recommend. If I could, I would give 4.5 stars. Not worth a full 5.

Cute little local Georgetown pizza. Thin, crispy slices, where square cut tastes so much better. First visit and I was a little disappointed at the 3 items I wanted they didn't have or were out of. The menu online shows chicken wings, which they don't offer, their menu lists caprese salad, they were out of basil, and ordering a cheese pizza with mushrooms, yup, out of mushrooms. The moderately priced pizza was very good, but on the heavy greasy side, but extra cheese pizza will do that. Large 16" pizza $25 w/tip. Small inside dining, a patio, and creekside table too. Bougie craft coffee drinks, chais, and cupcakes too. We definitely enjoyed our crispy edges pie, would recommend and return. Hopefully they restock veggies soon!

Georgetown Coffee and Tea, located on Sixth Street, is a great spot for grabbing coffee and breakfast to kickstart your day. After fueling up, consider taking a leisurely ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad to soak in the stunning scenery and learn about the town's mining history. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a meal, Alpine Restaurant and Bar offers a variety of American and European dishes in a casual atmosphere.
Georgetown is an unforgettable spot tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, with the quaint beauty of a mountain town but situated close enough in proximity that you can visit, do some shopping and be back home in the suburbs the same day. It’s a convenient getaway but one that’s just as a rewarding and satisfying as a much further trek into the Rocky Mountain National Park. The historical buildings and overall pace of life harken to a by gone era. From souvenir shops to ice cream parlors, you’ll find plenty of fun, entertaining experiences to enjoy. This coffee shop is a local gem situated just off the Main Street. They have some sugar free syrup options, which is huge when my diabetic dad is visiting from out of state, and a mountain of books on the second landing for avid fans of the written word. From a stove flickering merrily in one corner to the standing lamps staggered strategically throughout the first floor, you’ll feel as though you’ve stumbled upon a home away from home. My only complaint would be the lack of friendliness from the barista on more than one occasion. Still, it’s a place worth checking out and stopping in for a sip or two. Fresh, flavorful pastries in stock make for the perfect fuel before a scenic hike or drive in the area.

We walked into this place to have a cup of coffee. The coffee was pretty good. I’m not giving a higher rating on the food because we really didn’t have a lot of food. It’s a really cute little shop. When you walk in, to the left, is a gallery. To the right, they’re selling furniture and antiques. Then there’s plenty of places to sit to have a good cup of coffee. They are animal friendly. The gentleman serving coffee was extremely friendly and gave us a lot of tips on what to do around town. Overall, this is a good place to stop and enjoy the day.

If you’re cruising along I-70 toward Colorado’s high country, do yourself a favor — take a quick detour into Georgetown and hit Georgetown Coffee & Tea. This place feels like you’ve stepped into a cozy mountain storybook: art gallery on one side, little library on the other, friendly faces all around. I grabbed a 12 oz latte made with Copper Door Coffee beans from Denver — the aroma alone could make a grown hiker tear up. Smooth, flavorful, and just what you need before (or after) a Guanella Pass adventure. Pair it with a fresh baked good or a Bonfire Burrito, and you’ll understand why this is now our official mountain coffee stop. Coffee tastes better at 8,500 feet — especially here.

My wife and I travelled up for the morning to try and get breakfast before heading up Guanella Pass. We were a bit taken aback at the restaurant being closed (despite Google and Apple both saying it would be open). Instead, we found ourselves walking into Nara Visa to get some coffee. We were surprised at the setup they had. We have backgrounds in coffee preparation and barista work, so this is something we recognized quickly. The coffee was strong, but the flavors we chose (Pecan and Pumpkin) were unique and tasty. We also got muffins which, to be fair, look like they're from Costco but were nevertheless delicious. Oh! They also had alternative milks which we were a fan of. The barista who helped us out was extremely friendly and took an interest in our goings-on which was nice. She mixed the coffee and flavor together in the espresso tin which created a more consistent drink. We both loved the library they had upstairs and the chairs were very comfy. Super cool spot, will hopefully be returning when we make it up to Georgetown again. Would recommend.

Phenomenal coffee grounds and the most amazing hot chocolate!! My cortado was superb. The prices were great! Super helpful barista. If I lived here I’d be a regular ❤️

🌟 Silverbrick Saloon: A Georgetown Gem! 🌟 Stopped by Silverbrick Saloon after the annual Georgetown Christmas Festival 🎄, and what a treat! The place was packed (not surprising—it’s that good!), but we snagged a seat in under 5 minutes. ⏱️ 🍴 The Food: Amazing! I had the green chile 🌶️—flavorful with just the right kick! My daughter went for the wings 🍗, and she loved every bite. 🎭 The Vibe: Totally unique and laid-back. It’s a “serve yourself” style—you sit wherever you want, order at the bar, and grab your own water and silverware. It’s different, but it works! 🏰 The History: The restaurant’s story adds to its charm. You can feel the character of the building—it’s like dining in a piece of Georgetown history! If you’re in the area, especially during the festival season, make sure to swing by. Great food, cool atmosphere, and an experience that’s uniquely Silverbrick! 🙌

If you happen to be in town the Detroit-style pizza is amazing! Interior is sharp, would love to have a beer here if the weather outside wasn't so good.

Great little family run undiscovered gem in the heart of Georgetown Colorado. Almost found it by accident. Thier Detroit Pizza is legit. Great crust, fresh sauce, and the dough was perfect. If you are driving between Denver and the ski resorts and the family needs a bathroom break or a quick bite, it's a fantastic hidden stop off. Just a few blocks off the exit to Georgetown, so super convenient. Staff was super friendly, and the room was great nice redone late 1800's saloon with great food. Worth the stop.

Super friendly little place. Opens at 2:00pm and got busy rather quickly. Shared a Detroit style pizza and it was very light and airy!

Having drinks and amazing food at Silverbrick, Steve Skalski's newest place next to his brewery "Guanella Pass Brewery" in Georgetown. The atmosphere is so nice with a great bartender Megan and did I mention the coffee!! The beer is beyond good! We had the Duck 2 Ways and I had the Gnocchi. So good! The prices are so reasonable too. Good Job Steve!!

Great burgers, rocky mountain oysters, spicy chicken sandwich and yummy wings! Very classy inside with that 1800’s feel and atmosphere. One of the most beautiful bars I’ve ever seen. They have two TVs to watch your favorite sports game. Free darts and pool too! If you have a dog, they have a patio outside that’s dog friendly that connects Silverbrick Tavern and Guanella Pass Brewery. This is a “must do” the next time you’re in Georgetown.

This is my new go to coffee place. It is super smooth and not bitter at all. I stopped in today for brunch and had coffee a raspberry mimosa and the seasonal berry dumplings. It did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside and fresh juicy blueberries on the inside. The staff is really friendly and the chairs are so comfortable it’s hard to leave. I’m excited to have such a vibrant new place to hang out in Georgetown! I included a picture of the delicious trout I had the other night also
