Very informative ! This is a great place to learn about the history of mining in Leadville, State of Colorado and the entire United States. There is a lot of information for gold mining to coal mining and everything in between if your in Leadville and have an hour or so and want to check out the museum you won’t be disappointed. This is in the old school house we were told.

Such a neat place. You could easily spend a few hours here learning about history of the area and interacting w/displays. Staff is super friendly and happy to tell you anything you need to know about Leadville area.

As a descendant of an immigrant miner and also Baby Doe on my husband's side, the museum held a lot of significance. The interactive exhibits were very realistic. You can spend a few hours here and learn quite a bit.

Awesome old School Building turning into a Mining Museum and Hall of Fame. Lots of cool mining facts and artifacts to see. There's an awesome Miniature room, and several immersive walk through rooms that transport you under the earth. Also didn't trigger my Claustrophobia at all.

Just a perfect museum. Either a willingness one comes away with such an incredible treasure of new knowledge. Highly recommended.

As an opera and history nerd, this was the highlight of my trip to Leadville! I have been in love with The Ballad of Baby Doe since college and I was so happy to learn the true stories of Augusta, Horace, and Baby Doe during my tour. I was sad to not be able to see Baby Doe’s cabin during my trip because it was closed for the season, but this tour more than made up for it. I even got to sing a little bit of the opera in the house itself, which was such a treat! Thank you for keeping such a beautiful piece of history alive. The building, staff, and experience were all gorgeous.

We took the 1 hour tour on 8/18 at 2pm and it was fantastic. The tour guide knew her stuff, was efficient and informative, and did a great job of reeling in the talkative patrons that wanted to detail the tour. There's 3 floors of history to see and some great surprises, especially in the theater dressing rooms. For $12, I can highly recommend.

We were really looking forward to experiencing a play at this historic opera house. Everything was completely unorganized. From entering to purchase tickets at the door, we were never told that there was a vip event going on. We were asked to wait to enter, which we did. Once we finally were allowed to enter, we were assisted to our seats, which were supposed to be General Admission. However, seating was instead being suggested. The performance itself, was quite entertaining, but we left at intermission. The story seemed quite complete, and the seats while very vintage and beautiful, were very uncomfortable being made only of wood. We simply did not wish to endure another hour plus of this particular venue. Best of luck for this historic theatre, but please get your act together. Pun intended?

Lots of history here. Walk on stage, under the stage, backstage. Play the piano on stage. You can do it. You can walk where thousands of others have over the many many years. Probably touch a few door handles and whatnot that have been touched by famous celebrities. It's a very surreal feeling as we walked around looking at the beauty of this time piece. Things will change. I'm not sure how all it will change but this historical site is going to be sold to the city of Leadville. I would imagine that the city will do a great job preserving and showing off this gem of a place. I'm glad we paid the fee to get in. It wasn't bad and only $2 for 12 and under. I think it was $12 for adults. But all this will probably change after the summer of 2016.

Steeped in history. Much more interesting on the inside than the view from the outside would have you believe. A great tour although too rushed as so much to take in. A beautiful theatre - would love to see a show there.

This was such a great stop on our way to Aspen. We were looking for something quick, and a food truck was closed. The service was very quick even though the fried chicken was obviously homemade. And there were some fun looking cocktails as well. The homemade fries, AKA potatoes, were also delicious. The atmosphere is really cool, with an original brick wall and vaulted wood ceilings. The light fixtures were neat and the bar was cool.

Great Atmosphere throughout the whole building! Entrees heavily weighted to meat, with some variability in portion size. Tasty desserts, but again portion size varies ( carrot cake seemed small blueberry crisp large). Excellent offering of cocktails. N/A cocktails are very rrasonably priced. Well worth a meal when you are in the area!

The food was great and service was generally fine. Unfortunately on our visit the choice to sit on the rooftop meant that we had to go downstair to place your orders at the bar. This made things a little confusing and inconvenient but we warned in advance and we enjoyed our time. The views are also not bad up there.

First, and foremost, the owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and care about their service, quality, and experience. It felt like we tried everything on the menu and not only was it delicious, but our service was fantastic. Our server Heidi was remarkable. On her toes, knowledgeable about the menu, and an overall fantastic server. We commented that she set a clear example that the team is trained well and dialed. Such a positive experience. Treeline was great! Tasty foods, great service and a rustic building were all part of what this place has to offer. Fire pit out front and a roof top area. If in the area, I would visit again.

The ability to cook meat is questionable but they're vegetables and drinks are delicious. The lamp pasta that they were raving about was overcooked and straight up disappointing. And the garlic cheesy bread although it was delicious tasted like Rosemary cheesy bread and not garlic cheesy bread but it was still delicious so I'll give points to that. And our service even though we had two waiters was flat out disappointing the only time we saw them what is when they took us our food and drinks and three times when we tried waving them down to express our concerns on the food they ignored us.

Ordered the vegetable curry after hiking Mt. Elbert. It was good! The vibe outside was strange though because the live music was terrible.

We came on an extremely busy weekend… Skijoring weekend! People overload! Considering that I think we got a table relatively quickly, after only waiting 30ish minutes. My friend and I both got the Tandoori Chicken sandwich and an order of onion rings. The tandoori chicken sandwich was good… felt like it needed some acid, maybe lime juice? The bun on the sandwich was the best part! Like melt in your mouth bread. The onion rings were fantastic!! The only reason I knocked a star off of service was because when we ordered drinks my friend got a beer and I asked for a glass of water. Her beer came and no water. After getting our food I asked again for the water which the waitress said the water was self serve from a jug at the front of the dining room. No issue with the self serve part just wish she would have mentioned it 20 min before when we first sat down.

run, don’t walk!!! go get the pulled pork sandwich — i don’t care if you’re not hungry! kidding, i kindly suggest it 🤭 wanted to stop at the legendary silver dollar saloon for a while + finally made the stop. very worth it / highly recommend it! a couple cold beers + yummy food + nice vibe. sat in the dining area but would sit at the bar next time, for sure.

Hands down the best food we’ve ever eaten! My husband got the Yak burger special which we hope and pray will be on the menu next time we’re in town, the best burger I’ve ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing, the bun itself, incredible they must make them in house. We were referred by the nice lady at the visitor center, she mentioned the new owner of the bar hand picks food from local farms and prepares holiday dinners for people in need during thanksgiving and Christmas, sounds like a good establishment to support to me! A must eat when in Leadville

Old saloon that serves an electic menu of modern eats that are well prepared. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have a nice bar and bottled beer. Definitely a place to stop if you're hungry in Leadville.

I ordered the apple french toast. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But wow! I never order french toast at restaurants, but this was legendary. It’s given me hope again! (I ate this the night before hiking Mt. Elbert) It was very warm inside this place, but it’s an old building. So I’ll cut it some slack!

Food was amazing! We loved the atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back!

Waited 45 minutes for one sandwich and one tiny burger. Food was fine but at that point I would've eaten anything. Restaurant was only about half full so no apparent reason for the slow service. Also, server never came to check on us once unless we flagged him down.

What a great historic site! Main house plus cabin are both truly accurate representations of the era. Docents were all very knowledge and had great stories to share.

My husband and I went during business hours this past Saturday. No one was in the gift store and a woman came to the front and asked if we could be helped. We asked about taking a tour of the house, and she advised it was by appointment only. Of course, we asked if we could make an appointment, but she said that she was "very busy" and was working "things" out. Mind you, there was not another soul in the building. We were told we could pay $3 each to view the exhibits room only and were not given any opportunity to make an appointment for a tour. We drove from northern Colorado to Leadville just to see the house, so this was very disappointing.

Efrain gave the best tour. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and we had a great time. The garden was beautiful! I will most definitely be enjoying a coffee and a good read in the garden all summer long. Julie was very friendly and helpful. I’m so glad we had the opportunity to experience the museum.

Extensive explanation of the town's history, but it is broken down into digestible pieces. This museum also details the Ice Palace and WWII 10th Mountain Division. They have Soo many artifacts and a great collection of mining technology. I also love that this museum is in the old library

Better in my opinion than the mining museum although smaller and simpler exhibits. Worth a visit more so than the mining museum and definitely more affordable.

Pretty good, not great. They have a series of dioramas that tell the history of Leadville, plus a lot of memorabilia from former residents. Budget 45 minutes to an hour to stroll through.

Unfenced outdoor museum with about a dozen buildings. All but one doors were locked, due to covid. Good explanations are located on the buildings and in a brochure.

Epic place to learn some real Colorado history

5 out of 5 for a Pizza pie place. I will be back again to get more 🍕 Pizza. I didn't expect this out here on the Mountain. I ordered a regular cheese pizza just to see how it was gonna go. At least I asked for a bread recommendation, the dips were worth it and then some. This Pizza would be worth a half hrs plus drive if I was in copper or other neighboring cities I would come drive for it, they have a dine in area and a outside patio space, I took mine to go but this place is something that I want to come back to and dine in next time. I feel like the could buy a next door house connect a Skywalk and use up the capacity of the future seating area, add some tap drinks and nachos and I wouldn't ever have to leave. By the way, great undercarriage. Ordered standard tossed crust.

Must-eat pizza! This is fantastic pizza and super friendly staff! Pablo and the rest of the crew were refreshingly kind, professional, and accommodating! If you're anywhere in the Leadville area, come here for not only some crunchy outside, soft inside pizza crust and unique pizza combos, but enjoy the AMAZING customer service! We had the Crocodile and the Deluxe pizzas. Small interior seating but lots of outdoor seating with beautiful atmosphere, heaters. It's worth taking to go if you must!

We had heard about High Mountain Pies before we came to visit Leadville. They did not disappoint, the staff was friendly and set an awesome atmosphere, the San Luis pie was exceptional. If we are back here in our travels we will stop by again, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

My husband and I shared: - San Luís Pizza - Bacchanalia Pizza Both of these were fantastic in very different ways. I loved the sweetness of the grapes on the Bacchanalia. It was one of the most unique pizzas I've had. The pork seasoning was delicious on the San Luís. It's a busy place during lunch on the weekends and there is very little indoor seating, so be prepared to eat outside or take it to go.

Since we’re road trippers, we’ve tried so many different pizza places so far. This place is the best. The vibe, pizzas, price everything is perfect! The crust is very crunchy and just perfect. You don’t wanna miss this spot🍕

A true 5-star joint. I was weary because I knew it wouldn't be NJ/NY-style. It wasn't that style, very doughy, but it was still a great pie! I recommend getting one of the 'Our Favorites' pies with the unusual ingredients. I tried the 'San Luis' with the avocado, cilantro, pork, and green chili. It was excellent. The people behind the counter are very friendly. I got a pitcher of water even though I ordered takeout. The seating area is small on the inside, but the backyard/patio set-up is great. I wish I had taken some pics of that.

We’ve been planning a road trip through Colorado from Washington state and decided to check out Leadville’s scenery. Figured since we’ll be passing through, let’s check out Melanzana! Making an appointment in advance was *key* to access their entire selection and made the shopping experience more relaxed and enjoyable. My partner was looking for a solid red hoodie in his size but they didn’t have one on the rack, so he asked and lo-and-behold they had the exact one he wanted already made in their factory! We had 3 people in our party and managed to book 2 appts so we could all grab something we liked. We asked if any same day appointment openings happened so our friend could get more than 1 item and to our luck, they did! Super friendly staff. Get some pizza at High Mountain Pies afterward! I’m happy we stopped in town!

I had my first experience shopping at this local Colorado Made store full of great quality items. Iv lived in the Colorado Springs area for about 3 years now and I have heard of this local spot by other Coloradans that I talk with. They all love their Melly and I have Always wanted the Micro V2 fleece hoodie. I have made and canceled appointments in the past because of the times of the year I did not feel comfortable driving up to 10,200 ft above sea level. I had planned a trip to Leadville in the end of September 27th 2025. I was really wanting to get an appointment booked for this weekend. I did have to stalk the website to find a canceled appointment. Luckily one day I was checking every 30 mins on their appointment only calendar and there was a cancelation from 12:30pm-1pm. I snatched that up so quickly and I was so glad I was able to book this appointment! I checked 2 weeks before my appointment was booked. I was so stoked and excited to be able to shop the North side today. I ended up buying 2 Micro V2 fleece hoodies. You can only buy 2 items at a time. I bought a women’s size M and a L. The medium fits a little tighter but not skin tight. The Large is a little loose and fits baggy but not over sized by any means. I had a great first time experience and Blake checked me out when I was ready to buy. I do like that this company is local to Colorado and how it keeps its product in stock and in demand for those who make an appointment. My best advice is to be hopeful, patient and persistent to get an appointment sooner than 8-10 months out. Check their calendar frequently if your able to during the day. Don’t give up hope, it is possible to get an appointment in before the 9 months out! I did! loved my first experience here and I will be back after 6 months passes. Got a hat here when I was visiting Leadville earlier this year. It was a no-brainer to make an appointment for November and come back to have access to the full north section. Got two awesome hoodies and some socks, & my sister who was visiting from out of state found a great melly in the south side of the store! Highly recommend their great products, easily the coziest items I have ever worn. Also be sure to check out the other cool stuff to do in Leadville, like the Mineral Belt Trail or Ski Cooper!

I love my Melly, we live in Missouri and plan our trips to Colorado around our Melanzana appointment.(it’s turned into an annual pilgrimage) Does it suck having to book an appointment? Kinda but it’s also nice knowing that they are most likely going to have what you want in stock. Love the idea of it being a fair system for people like us who are coming from so far away, Keep on keeping on you guys rock!

A bit different shopping experience than most. To get their new items you need to schedule an appt (usually 6-12 months in advance). Only 2 new items can be purchased per appt, so if you have more people and need more than 1 item each, schedule multiple appts. They sell quality clothes that are put together in the Leadville store. The "melly" hooded sweaters are the go to items. There are a few different versions. Check out the current colors of new items on their website. These do change, so they may not be the same colors for when you book and when your appt is scheduled. This place is a Colorado staple and everyone should go at least once.

This is a pretty cool thing to do. It takes about two and a half hours but you get to go on a nice train ride and the announcer is very well informed on everything about the town and surrounding areas. The seats are pretty comfortable which is nice. The staff on the train was very friendly and willing to help with anything you needed. You learn a lot of factual things on the strain right also. Lots of very cool scenery on this trip

Recently enjoyed a train ride on a sunny October day to celebrate our 21st anniversary (we rode it on our honeymoon). This adventure is worth every penny, but bring your coat and gloves! We highly encourage the upgrade to a lounge car in chilly weather but be sure to check out the concession care even though you have an attendant. Great photos and other surprises to explore. The bathrooms are an adventure unto themselves, so be prepared for a rustic experience in that part of the train.

We had an amazing time on the Leadville Railroad with friends. The views were stunning, the warm coach seats were perfect for the chilly October weather, and the full glass windows made the scenery easy to enjoy. They serve food to your table, and the standing area adds extra fun. A truly unforgettable experience!

This train is absolutely amazing! As a plus size person I highly recommend! The isles between the seats are really wide the door and the stairs to get in and out of the cars are also nice and wide. We took our two dogs with us and appreciate the fact that dogs are allowed to enjoy such a fun activity! The pretzels 🥨 are super good as well! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable! I can not say enough good things about this train!! 🚂

The train ride was a great experience with absolutely breathtaking views the entire way. It was easy to find, and the free parking made everything even more convenient. The food on the train was definitely a plus and added to the overall enjoyment. The only downside was that I didn’t receive an actual train ticket like the others did, which was a bit disappointing. Other than that, it was a fun and memorable ride!

Taking this historic train ride is amazing for many perspectives. From the terrain you cover to the views you see all while getting a historic narrative from our Conductor Lanora. Lanora made the journey so interesting as she added so many historic details to what we were looking at. From mining for gold to Doc Holiday to geological facts her story telling ability is unmatched. Want to learn about Leadville and the surrounding area all while riding a train in the mountains of Colorado, then this is where you want to be.

One of the best railroad experiences in Colorado! We rode the train this week (last week of August) and the Aspens are already beginning to change, if you're reading this and planning the fall tour, y'all are in for treat! The drive to Leadville from Denver is around 2 hours but beautiful the entire way, the town of Leadville is really really cool, not all blown up and commercialized like Golden. Beautiful brick buildings etc. Anyway, back to the train... Best views are facing away from the station (left side). The covered car with windows can be a bit loud from rattling. If it's not raining (it rained before we boarded and dang you wouldn't believe how fast the crew worked to dry seats!), sit in the outside car or the covered car with no windows. Beautiful views and history the entire way. On the way down try and get closer to the engine...the diesel gets caught in the last car going downhill and it's a bit rough. Regardless, the staff is great and friendly and of all the railroads we did this one definitely has a special spot. We look forward to returning some day.

We love this little coffee shop in Leadville!!! We always stop here when we're in town going up to the Leadville fish hatchery. It's such a sweet little place and they have pastries and different things to choose from to eat. It's all freshly made!! Everybody who works here is always kind and welcoming. Their coffee is outstanding and their dark roast coffee is one of our favorites ❤️ We love to do little day trips up to Leadville and we stop here every time to get our coffee. Lots of places to sit in their shop and it's right on the main thoroughfare so you can sit outside and people watch too!

Love this place! I was visiting my son and his family near Leadville. Went to this place at least 6 times and was only there 3 days. Customer service fantastic! Such great choices and great smells. So comfortable! Coffee was delicious 😋. From the espresso to lattes and matcha drinks. Yum! The burritos were really good and big not to bad for $10. Bakery items were so good and baked daily. Thanks for being an option in such a great staple of Colorado history. Can't wait to see you again on my next visit

Great local coffee shop with amazing (and hot) coffee! Plenty of seating - albeit very busy - for workspace, and hanging with friends! Lots of food and snack options whether savory or sweet! We enjoyed a little bit of both - Quiche Lorraine and a sweet lemon poppy seed muffin. Super cozy inside with mountain vibes, and local art! Baristas were very busy but not enough to greet you with a smile! There were a couple of wood benches outside so you can enjoy your coffee while doing some people watching. Definitely a place worth stopping in for a great cup of coffee!

Great spot in downtown Leadville. We took scenic route 24 from I-70 and then looped back down via 91. Gorgeous! And half way through we had coffee & delicious treats from this coffee shop. It’s on a block with lots of cute stores and restaurants. Definitely stop in and check out the cool local artwork!

Since the only reviews I saw mentioned them not being dog friendly at all, they have old picnic tables separated by a fence that is dog friendly. As haphazard as it is, always nice to have a dog friendly spot so gives a star bump in the rating. I won't comment on the beer since I didn't find anything I personally liked. View from the patio is solid. Edit in response to owners comment asking how the beer was... well since you asked, the beer sucked lol. Was trying to be nice.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think people who give Two Mile Brewing a 1-star review, just want to have their review posted on the wall. We visited on a lovely September afternoon with our kiddos. We just came to town to pick up some Melly's. Yes, only about half of the food menu was available, and it wasn't amazing food. But the food we had was decent and the beer was great. The view is stellar and we had amazing service. The bartendar was friendly, super cool to our kids, and attentive to us and every other customer there. There were several other people there and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in Leadville!

Worst brewery ever. Extremely dog unfriendly and bad beer. There's a patio, but dogs are not allowed. Bartender came out to the patio all angry, like how dare we bring our dogs to the patio to check out the menu. He pointed us to some beat-up picnic tables next to the main road a large distance from the patio. We couldn't even leave the dogs on the patio to go in to order beer. Never seen a brewery so dog unfriendly. Beer sucked too to say the least. Bad atmosphere - there was nobody there on a weekend. Avoid it like a plague.

Beer 4/10 Service 0/10 Just head on into the Manhattan bar, timberline, silver dollar saloon anywhere else. Heck go to Safeway get a six pack and go to any amazing overlook instead. Edit: Came with someone who also agreed with me. We came for the 2 mile and some good beers. Very lackluster but we have amazing breweries in Richmond,VA so maybe spoiled. However every other brewery in Colorado we went to besides this one was 👌🏻 Such a unique town wish this place embraced the collective cool the rest of the town has.

I tried to come here specifically because of the 1-star reviews (non-beer drinkers tend to judge people harsher than seasoned veterans do), and to say I've had a beer and the highest brewery. Well, even though their Google page, website, and Facebook page all say they were open, there was nobody around. Decided to go to silver dollar and came back 1.5 hours after their open time. Still nobody. In other news, I think the names of their beers are fantastic, and it reminds me of the restaurant Dick's Last Resort where they give you dunce caps and make fun of you - so fun. Hopefully I'll get a chance to come back and give an actual review of everything.

Only had beer during my visit. Very friendly service! They had a handful of beer choices, but had a variety to quench anyone's need. There was a nice-sized patio outside and a food truck nearby.

We were driving through and asked a gentlemen where the best spot for coffee was in town, he said the little yellow house past the alley. We are so glad we found this spot. So welcoming and lovely. The spicy mocha latte was one of the best I’ve had, the maple latte was also very tasty. The star of the stop is Bo Jackson, the coonhound on the chair. We also love the pay it forward wall, where we left one as well, to spread a little love in this world. This stop was good for the soul and a heartwarming latte.

An enjoyable experience with an excellent Americano done as a long black, a drip coffee, light roast, Ethiopian with a great blueberry aroma and taste. The burrito was spicy and tasty. Chemex coffee makers available for purchase. Recommended. Highly.

I absolutely LOVED the cardamom latte! Very fun seating areas inside and outside. Shop in the back was cool as well. Service was ok, the barista pushed us to order faster and would not remake my teammates drinks that were incorrect.

If you’re reading this you’re probably looking for a good coffee shop. Here’s my 2 cents. This is not a good coffee shop this is a GREAT coffee shop. During my visit to this awesome city I patronized several food and drink establishments. Zero day Coffee is undoubtedly my favorite. If you enjoy meeting friendly people, drinking delicious coffee in a chill space with a welcoming vibe check this place out. The cubano, chai, and lattes are spot on. They even have wine nights on the weekends. Plus it’s also a gear shop with many quality products. The baristas Vanessa and Groucho as well as Avery the owner are a pleasure to meet. One visit and I guarantee you’ll be back.

The proprietor was also traveled and had visited the town we were traveling from, so we had a pretty cool conversation about the AT. all in all, it was a wholesome and fulfilling experience. If you're going to Leadville, you should definitely make Zero Day coffee a must-see location.

Everything about this coffee shop is amazing! The atmosphere, the service, the coffee and matcha :-)))! They have tons of syrups, most of them house made I believe and a great indoor area. Cannot recommend highly enough

So happy we stumbled upon this sweet little cafe. Our server, Sarah, was so friendly and helpful! We had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries….those were so so good! And I had the potato soup which was wonderful on a somewhat chilly day. I highly recommend TPC and if you’re lucky Sarah will be your server. 🩷

Good food, some interesting menu options mixed with staple favorites anyone can find something they will like on the menu. Service wasn't bad but also wasn't notably good; small things like my water glass never being refilled, no offer for second round of drinks, and minimal assistance after the food was dropped. Would still return and would recommend.

Simple menu, but some unique items and enough variety especially with soups, salads, and sandwiches. Filling meal without feeling too heavy afterward. Didn’t like the pepper on the fries, could have done without jalapeño pieces in the beer cheese soup, but no other complaints. Liked that you could order the salad in small or large. Wish they had a nonalcoholic drink menu. Very casual atmosphere. No parking aside from a few spots on the street or public lot across the street. Great meal stop at an affordable price.

Truly an exceptional meal: tomato bisque and mushroom soup were flavorful, clearly fresh ingredients. The chicken and Brie sandwich was a perfect combination. The trout, Brussels sprouts and fresh veggies (local) was exquisite. We shared two desserts, wide beer list and a delicious ginger beer. No wait, cram restroom, friendly server. shoutout to Alec and James - a gem!

Food was good—nice variety, Brussels sprouts were REALLY good. Taking the time to leave a review because other than the food, our experience was a bit surreal. The entire staff we interacted with was incredibly grouchy. We were there as a family of 8 (teens and adults) and were treated pretty rudely several times. When my teen daughter ordered Mac & cheese and fries, the waitress literally said to her, “wow guess you’re carbo-loading pretty hard today”. Unbelievably insensitive. Drinks were not refilled. It was a Saturday afternoon during college football season and their 3-4 TV’s were all shut off. The way the waitresses were acting made everyone nervous to ask about turning on a game. Definitely will not return. Worst part was being given a receipt with a *20%* tip automatically applied. You can auto-add 15% for large groups, but 20% was not justified in any way. Bill was $250 for 8 people and everyone drank only water and no apps or dessert was ordered.

Quincy's is a great place to dine. We have been coming here for over 15 years. Friday and Saturday they have Prime Rib, which is great. This time we were there on Tuesday and I had the 15 oz fillet, medium. It was perfect. Service was good and we had an enjoyable evening.

What a great restaurant! Was very happy with everything about it. Me and my wife both got the steak. It was cooked exactly as we asked and had so much juice and flavor. The service was great and happy to tell us about the history of the building. Great experience! Come and try for a great experience in historic Leadville.

I have been going to Quincys for 25 years and have enjoyed the prime rib. Sadly the quality of the meat has gone down to the point where you can’t even cut it or chew it. I had to spit out the meat into a napkin because I couldn’t swallow it. My problem is the product should never have been served. It was full of grissle. The manager did not handle our complaint well. My point was to the manager is, why serve a piece of meat uneddible in the first place. Go back to your higher standards Quincys. We will not come back.

Do not eat here. One star for food is too generous. With a limited selection menu (filet mignon or vegetable lasagna the night we were there), you would think they knew how to present those dishes. We both had the filet - thinking the prices were a steal when we ordered, yet the smell and appearance of the steaks when they arrived told us we were wrong, very wrong. Cooked medium rare as requested, they steaks were an odd texture to chew. They came bacon wrapped yet neither the steak nor the bacon had a flavor beyond rancid oil. Baked potatoes were almost fully cooked and the "butter" on the potato was as flavorless as the meat. Even the bread, though pillowy, was off with a slight bitter taste. The dinner salad was fine though drowning in the ok house dressing. Our server was very nice and did a fine job. The atmosphere reminded you that you were in an Old small Colorado town post boom (and not in a good way). We were astounding to see locals dining as well as having left positive reviews. People of Leadville: Quincy's does not make a good steak! Head to Buena Vista next time you eat. Locals told us the Grill was good - we chose Quincy's since we didn't want a burger or Mexican. We will forever regret that decision.previous poor reviews were responded to by the owner - short of fully comping our meal and erasing our memories of it nothing would have made this right.

Edit: This was our first time back after 2 years, and the food was just as great as I remember. The steak was cooked properly, the potato was soft and buttery, and the bread was a perfect palet cleanser. The steak sauce had an interesting aftertaste, but that's perhaps only a personal preference. The Shirley Temple was an excellent drink choice, and the staff were most kind. We were seated quickly, however, the waitress seemed unacquainted with the drink menu...nevertheless kind and helpful. After the meal, I excused myself to the washroom to relieve myself whenever I found that the door was locked! The restaurant only appeared to include a single sized person washroom accommodation. Sadly, I never saw this person leave the washroom...I had to relieve myself elsewhere. They could still be there? Shortly after this, and well without warning, we were surprised to find an automatic gratuity for our party of five... Apart from all this, I would still recommend trying out this steak & spirits for your spiriting needs. Previous Review (inexperienced): Amazing steak, baked potatoes, and bread!!! Was seated right away, given water and got food quickly. Nice restrooms and fun hotel feel to the restaurant. Tasted really good after climbing Mt. Elbert!!

Dark lit restaurant, sat in the back where my chair was pressed against a staircase. The fan light above my table, kept flickering on and off. I am pretty sure the sous vide their steaks, and then grill to finish. However, my steak definitely never saw a grill. It was chewy and the fat was not at all rendered. On a positive, Wait staff was kind and responsive!

Really sad it’s no longer vegan, but we gave this place another shot. The service was great and staff was super friendly, but the food was lackluster. The biggest disappointment was their “omelette”. It was literally just a fried egg on top of what should’ve been inside the omelette. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be back.

We came on Mother's Day, and they were extremely understaffed, though still very kind and very obviously doing the best they could. With that said, the food was terrible. The chicken and waffles were three quarters of a freezer burnt waffle and two pieces of freezer burnt chicken. The oreo waffle was a regular waffle with coo whip and oreo crumbles on it. I wouldn't reccomend eating here if you can avoid it. Again, staff was nice, but the food is really bad.

The food is great here. Loved the fajitas. The interior decor could use a little help but I guess it gives it character.

We had to wait 10 minutes before someone noticed we walked in. Then, when we were seated (there were 4 of us), it took another 20 minutes before our order was taken. We had to ask for chips and salsa when it normally comes to the table. When we finally got the salsa it looked more like beef stew. We asked for salsa and was given green chili, it was to hot so then she gave us green salsa. We asked for queso, and was given cold cheese whiz. Between the salsa and chili our order was taken. After the queso we gave up and walked out.

The staff were friendly, unfortunately, the service was nonexistent . After getting our table and menus, we never saw our server again. After 10 minutes, we walked out.

Couldn't have been more impressed with the wealth of information offered on display there, and also from the young man on the desk. What a beautifully restored synagogue, by clearly passionate individuals who have fought to keep the building and the story of the jews in this gorgeous, quaint, and highly elevated town, alive. Certainly worthy of a visit, very interesting and special little place.

Visiting this synagogue (and the nearby Jewish cemetery) was a very moving experience. The aptly created displays gave an in-depth view of small-town Western Jewish life. The assembled information and artifacts were imaginatively presented.

Really cool way to learn about Leadville history and the history of Jewish people in Leadville. The information desk man was very nice and provided a local perspective of Leadville.

I had been to Leadville twice before as an adult, and didn't know they had a one-time synagogue. This summer, I was there during the Pioneer Days and they had a sign out on Hwy. 24. Fascinating slice of Colorado and national Jewish life that, in the case of one person or two, became part of national American life, period.

It was very cool seeing this relic that closed 110 years ago. The museum person is good, you just need to get him talking. Highly recommend if you're in town.

They accept donations. The docent there was very kind and informative. The pieces of history there were incredible. Very educational.

Picked up my card, staff was very friendly and helpful, they printed some stuff for me and showed me around. Part of the Marmot Library system so we'll have access to tons of materials.

I've been to this library on four or five occasions. The patrons are generally quiet and respectful, but I've had a hard time getting any work or studying done because the STAFF is so loud and obnoxious. If you're planning to work here bring ear plugs. Funny because they have signs saying that you cannot take calls or online meetings in the library (I completely appreciate this), but you can hear every word of the phone calls staff are taking in the back office. They are even more disruptive with the conversations they have at the front desk. I don't understand why they have to yell every word and cannot speak at even a normal volume. Not what you expect at a library. Two stars only because wifi works in the parking lot, so you don't have to go inside.

Came by for some help. Lost my driver’s license on the mountain while snowboarding. Got a temporary ID. But had to print it. Sent to the Public Library…and they had it printed for me in less than 5 mins! Another Public Library save! Thank you…✌🏽💗🙏🏽

Stopped here to use their bathroom, very narrow hallway for my big frame lol maybe by moving up here I won't be able to afford as much food and lose some weight. I want to volunteer here please I have lots of time on my hands class doesn't start for a while still. No showers available by themselves in Leadville right now due to covid-19. Very few jobs, resources, and people here. Cloud city nonetheless great college very affordable and fun place to go to school. I'm taking welding this summer it's $200 in district tuition. Looking for a roommate if anyone is trying to move up here I can pretty easily afford $500 a month towards rent. You need safety skills to really have fun up here these skills can be learned at mountain college.

Great small town library. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Good selection, and if they don't have it they can probably find it somewhere in the Centennial State.

We had an absolutely incredible adventure with LEADVILLE ATV! The UTV ride through rugged, treacherous mountain terrain was exhilarating from start to finish. Reaching over 14,000 feet in elevation—what’s known as a “14er”—was both thrilling and humbling, and the views were breathtaking. Our guide made the entire experience even more memorable. Down-to-earth, knowledgeable, attentive, and respectful, he struck the perfect balance of safety and fun. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged, and his passion for the outdoors was contagious. The day itself felt almost magical. What started as an overcast morning transformed into beautiful sunshine as we climbed higher into the mountains. Breathing in the crisp fresh air while surrounded by such raw, natural beauty was nothing short of unforgettable. To top it all off, we even visited the highest city in North America—a unique and fascinating highlight to wrap up our Sunday adventure. This was an experience well worth every moment, and I would highly recommend Leadville ATV to anyone looking for an outdoor thrill that combines adrenaline, nature, and genuine hospitality.

My family (my husband, 11 y.o. son and myself) had a great time on the Leadville ATV Tour. It lasted approx 2 hours and the scenic views were amazing as were the fun ride up the rocky paths and splashing through water holes. We would recommend this company to everyone! They had a lot of local knowledge and made sure that everyone was safe and having fun.

We had a wonderful tour with Carson as our guide. The weather was overcast and rainy most of the day but we both enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The vehicles are comfortable, even over the roughest terrain, we could close the windows and turn on the heat when we got to higher altitudes, so the rain didn't even matter, and we didn't get soaked going through the deep puddles. We missed some of the views with the overcast skies but it really didn't matter for us. This is definitely a 5 star operation and recommend them highly.

We had such a fun time on our ATV adventure! Josh was an amazing guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of interesting facts about the area’s geological history and mining industry. The trail was a great balance of easy terrain with just enough muddy ditches to make it exciting (splashing through them was a blast!). The scenery was amazing. We rode in an enclosed vehicle, so while we did get a little wet, it was nothing serious—just added to the adventure. Overall, it was an exciting, safe, and memorable experience that we would definitely recommend!

Highlight of our Leadville trip! Our guide Carson was incredible, super friendly and knowledgeable about Leadville. Even found a herd of moose up on the mountain. UTV’s were great, heated and had Bluetooth stereo’s. Saw so many amazing views, would absolutely recommend.

From the very beginning, he was friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. He explained everything clearly, gave us great tips, and shared interesting facts about the area along the way. Carson’s energy and enthusiasm made the whole experience even more exciting. He knew the best trails, scenic spots, and made sure we had time to take photos and really enjoy the views. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it shows in the way he treats his guests. If you’re thinking of booking a UTV tour, I highly recommend going with Carson. You won’t regret it!

We had an incredible tour with Josh. You really have to get off-road to see the remarkable beauty in the area. We drove by current and abandoned mining camps, learned history and geology and left with a deep appreciation for the land. We so look forward to returning and booking another tour. This is the kind of experience that is far better than a souvenir.

Liam is a life saver. While I was camping in leadville, my phone and watch died, I was so cold and hungry, but Liam let me charge my things in store as I proceeded to shop around and bought delicious barbecue chips and a cozy hoodie. Such a functional and convenient shop!

Great selection of outdoor gear with extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. I went there twice last week - once to get a replacement for my leaking hydration pack before hiking Elbert. I had planned to hike the East Ridge, but Taylor convinced me that the Northeast ridge has a much easier drive to the trailhead for a similar hike. He also introduced me to Gaia GPS, which is much better than Alltrails for custom route mapping. I was also able to get a light backpack for hiking 14ers and 13ers to replace my heavy trekking-style backpack. It made it much, much easier to go up Sherman the next day. Liam spent about 10 minutes getting a stuck strap pried out of a plastic strap clip so the pack was usable.

I love this shop. Great mountain gear, clothes, and yummy snacks and drinks. Also awesome boot fitting and ski tech services.

Staff was really helpful! They have an awesome selection but we came in looking for a specific butane fuel canister. Although they have other they didn't have it they directed us to ace hardware who had the butane for our camp stove. They also let us use their hose outside to fill up our water jugs!

This place is awesome! We were looking for some microspikes for a hike the next day, and all the shops around town referred us to Leadville Outdoors. They were unfortunately closed, but we ran into the store manager on her way out, and she was so nice to still get us the gear we needed. We would not have been able to make it up the mountain without those spikes. Fantastic staff, great gear!

Really great outdoor ice rink! This was our first time in Leadville and we had a blast. The rink was fun and admission and skate rentals were cheap.

Great little park that's free with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. I skate here often.. plenty of stuff for street and bowl/mini ramp skaters. Sometimes there are lots of little kids so you have to pay extra attention to your surroundings.

Great small mostly fenced in park with several slides, swings and teeter totters. Fenced in dog park! Beautifully done skate park with lots of different styles.

We came all the way from Florida and picked this location for tubing because you dont need a reservations me and my family had a blast and its 10 dollars a hour per person very cost effective. Loved our experience here ❤️ would recommend it to anyone and the scenery is amazing on the drive up. Thank you.

Amazing city owned Sledding location! Has nice steep slopes and we took our own sleds!! Definitely recommend!!! We couldn't find where to go for our vacation and that was the spot. Free.

Nice workout walking up. Worth it, as it was so much fun! We brought our own sleds, which was nice. However, renting the tubes was a great decision! Super fast!

The place was beautiful and I enjoyed it with my friends. The price per hour for a tube was $10, but the cold was bitter, and you had to take precautions against the cold, including gloves, glasses, and hats. It was a fun and wonderful experience, and I advise anyone who comes to this city to come only to this place, whether they are young or old.

What a blast, and a gift to the community and visitors alike! The tubes are really affordable but we only rented one and brought our own sleds. One of our favorite family memories on this trip for sure.

There’s nothing particularly special about this store. Everything is overpriced—from $30 candles to $60 fanny packs. It claims to be unique, but the merchandise is the same stuff you’ll find in almost any Colorado gift shop. If you’re visiting Leadville, there are plenty of other truly unique shops featuring work from local artists.

I absolutely love Elevation Goods! Such a beautiful store with a focus on curating not only artisan goods, but those made by Colorado small business. The products are high-quality and thoughtfully made, something you can really tell by talking with the store owner. I would highly recommend Elevation Goods as a must-stop place to visit if you are visiting Leadville, CO.

Glad I didn't have young kids with me. 🕯️BUT..... the owner IS about to be making her own candle scent, THE LODGE, which I LOVED, very earthy, fresh!! Elevation Goods has such a lovely collection of local art and handcrafted goods. I also love how the shop is set up - it's both cozy and clean line. Bonus if you get to meet Whitney while you're in there - she is wonderful!!

We stopped in last week on our drive home to Florida. This was our favorite shop on our entire 3 week road trip. We went through Vail, Eagle, Avon, Colorado Springs and many other cities throughout the US. Elevation Goods was by far our favorite. We wanted everything in there!

This was our second time eating here. A small setup, no fancy seating or atmosphere; but the food was delicious! We love the Cuban mix sandwich, pork bawl, and the simple yet tasty avocado salad! You have to order the food at the window and the staff will deliver to your choice of table. Seating inside is limited, street parking, staff friendly, superb food.

We were surprised to find a Cuban place in Leadville, CO, but took our chances based on the good reviews. I know Cuban sandwiches, even the breakfast ones, are usually large, so we just ordered one egg, ham and cheese sandwich to share. My son and I split it and it was filling enough for two. He enjoyed his first Cuban café con leche, and I had an orange juice since I don't drink coffee. This place was fairly busy in the morning, service was friendly and the food and coffee were served very hot. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Leadville.

Their sandwiches are pretty good, the staff friendly, and the outdoor seating space is great. But don’t waste your $ on the avocado 🥑 salad as it is literally just 1/2 of an avocado sliced. And the staff does warn you that there’s no lettuce in the avocado salad but stupid me thought it would be like cowboy caviar then. Nope, just sliced avocado and couple slices of onion with dressing. They should really just charge around $4 for it.

Came here ravenous after a 14er and left totally satisfied. Efficient and kind service at the counter window and the sandwiches are clearly freshly made and pressed to order. Highly recommend

expensive but delicious cuban sandwiches!!! boyfriend got the cuban, which as a discerning cubano consumer, he really loved, & i got the veggie option, which wasn’t really a cuban sandwich except the bread, but still phenomenally delicious. would’ve enjoyed a little more to beef up the veg option / more options but just being difficult at this point! highly recommend!

The food is so good and staff are nice. The Cuban mix and the Buchi coffee are highly recommended.

I stopped in on Taco Tuesday. I had a couple of tacos and 1 chorizo taco. On other occasions I've had the Carne Asada tacos, a Quesadilla and other menu items. Everything has been good. I will probably skip on the hard tacos next time. Service is always good and fast.

They use frozen Asian veggie medley for their meals. Place has potential but the food could be better. No chips and salsa. The chips were burned. Expensive for what you get.

This place has great food and yummy margaritas whose sweetness hides the fact that they do in fact have alcohol in them 🤤 We stopped in here after being diverted from I70 thru Leadville due to a snowstorm. Very glad we did. We ordered a quesadilla and house margs, the food was very delicious, not expensive, and came out quickly. If we are ever in Leadville again we'll definitely stop here!

Excellent tacos and other Mexican dishes served here to order. They have tacos, burritos and also have a breakfast menu as well. They serve beer and hard drinks, inside there are about a dozen seats as well outdoor seating. I ordered dinner for takeout and food was ready pretty much quick.

Delicious, fresh, food. So many vegetarian and vegan options. The cheese enchiladas were great and hubs enjoyed al pastor. The tres leches cake was pretty good too. Only one suggestion, please stop one-time-use products, plastic straws, and plastic bags, to help the environment. Thank you!

Great food and hospitality! They were open and so accommodating on Thanksgiving day. Loved their chicken burrito and that green salsa was really good.

Shrimp was majorly over cooked and there was a major issue with the tacos. We ordered lingua and received some sort of pork. It was over priced and not worth it

Nice coffee shop with comfy seating, even a few fun swings. I got a Carmel latte which was a bit sweet. They said they didn't currently have any homemade/ house made syrups atm. The service was quite quick. I got a bacon breakfast burrito. It was pretty good. Bathrooms were simple and clean.

Got some a delicious oatmeal latte from here. Staff were kind and helpful, beautiful space that is very inviting. Wish I had more time to spend there but I look forward to going again.

Staying in Leadville and have been here for cocktails every night! They have an impressive variety in their bar and were able to make me some of my favorite cocktails, off menu. Junie (sorry if I’m spelling that wrong!) was so sweet and took such great care of us on our anniversary. Also a talented bartender! Whether for cocktails or coffee, this place is a cannot miss in Leadville :-)

We stopped in this morning and absolutely loved it! This is the place for breakfast & coffee! The cappuccino was rich and smooth, and the oat cookie latte was such a fun and delicious twist. The breakfast food was just as amazing; the burrito came out warm and perfectly satisfying, and the croissant sandwich was flaky, buttery, and so good. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and everything we tried was spot on. Definitely a place worth coming back to!!

This is a gem of a food stop. So happy it was our road trip meal selection. I had the BLTTA and it was great. You can’t beat THE VIEW and Cristina brightened our day by being the nicest/friendliest employee possible. She was a true delight and her amazing attitude leaves quite an impression… you can’t stop her cheeriness from rubbing off on you.

Amazing food. We had the GOAT sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic. It hit the spot! The lady inside the food trailer was also very nice. The only thing that was missing was some chairs or tables.

Do yourself, and your tastebuds, a favor and stop by The Mountain Goat. The food is amazing; delicious, not greasy, clean, and the owner is amazing. We stumbled upon this and will make it a new staple when we are in the area.

Hands-down, the best burger in Leadville, Summit County, Lake County anywhere in Colorado! Would put this in the top three best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. That’s saying something because cheeseburgers are one of my favorite Foods and I’ve had thousands from thousands of different Establishments. I’ve been craving a good burger for about a year now and I finally tried the goat and just wow it was blown away by how good it was. So juicy and fresh Wasn’t over seasoned and the bun was perfect They let the quality of meat speak for itself, and the quality of the bun and cheese. My only gripe would be prices are maybe a dollar or two more than A burger should be. Roughly $19 for a double cheeseburger plain with no side or drink seems a little bit seems a little overpriced. But the burger is absolutely fantastic and I will be going back At least once every couple weeks But would be once or twice a week if the burgers were a little less pricey. Again, so burgers were so good that I don’t mind paying a little bit more because I was in a state of euphoria whilst eating that double cheese. They didn’t need to disguise the burger with a crazy amount seasoning or fancy over the top buns and ingredients. I respect that they let the quality of the ingredients that they choose speak for themselves. In my opinion, that’s how you know. A place is good and the chefs know what they’re doing because they trust the product and they don’t need to add 1000 things to make it edible. They don’t try to reinvent the wheel. They just perfected it. 100% would recommend. You guys got yourself a new lifelong customer! Seriously, anyone reading this needs to go and try this spot.

One of the things I look for on a burger is a crispy bun. Additionally crispy bacon. This was one of the better burgers I’ve had in my life… I only wish I had thought to get two patties as that may have pushed it over the edge to Best. They don’t have fries, but make a dank ass soup, which I have not subbed for fries before but was also game changing. Honestly, considering coming back Leadville if only to get a burger and soup. 10/10

First time in Leadville, saw the 4.9 rating and gave it a shot. Why it's not a 5.0 is beyond me. Amazing burger, incredibly nice service, very accommodating. The Jalepeno burger was tremendous. Fresh lettuce, tomoto, onion. Everything was great. Kudos to you!

Best food I’ve had in a while! I got the goat melt it was so good!!! I live in Denver and I will drive back up just for this it was so good!

We love this place. Very clean and all of the kitchen conveniences. Plus our dogs could come with us. It's really nice having some space between houses, as opposed to being in a hotel room with rooms on either side and hearing doors closing throughout the night. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because the bed is Pretty high up and the first tiny house We stayed in the ladder to the upper bed Was a little tricky to get off of at the top onto that level. Very quiet and downtown just around the corner walking distance.

I loved my stay here! It was so cold in Leadville but Tiny home Lilly was so warm. The bests are so comfy and the homes are laid out so well that they don’t feel restrictive. My only downside is that I didn’t book the home for longer.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I stayed in the Duke tiny home in Leadville and was very disappointed. The listing on Expedia said it had air conditioning and could sleep 5 people — both were false. There was no A/C, only a couple of fans, and during my summer stay it was 90° outside and even hotter inside. The loft was unbearable, so I had to sleep on the futons downstairs, which were extremely uncomfortable. I barely slept and even had to keep the door open at night just to cool down. When I told the property about the false advertising and asked for at least an extra fan, my request was ignored and it was very hard to get in touch with anyone at the rental office. The house itself looked nice — clean inside and cute on the outside — but without air conditioning and a comfortable place to sleep, the experience was miserable. I would not stay here again.

Nice place and everything you need. Full sized frig and range, microwave and good sized bathroom. Beds were not that comfortable. Not really suitable for older people, need to be on knees to get to bed and dress. Steps to bedroom small. Needs freshening up and a few repairs. TV 8' above floor. Across from bar.

The tiny house was great, but the staff was really pushy about the 10am checkout. They walked into my room at 9, called me at 9:52 then knocked again at 9:54. I walked out at 10:01 and they were circling like vultures. It was a bit much. Don't bother me until I'm actually late.

Great stay overall! Clean and cozy and kind service. Only concern light sleepers may have when booking is homes are situated right off main road near main street and you can hear everything. But would stay here again!

First time in a tiny home and enjoyed being able to bring our dog and the perfect location. Very easy to walk downtown for coffee, meals and shops!

Andrew Purdy was unbelievably rude!! I went to tour 2994 hwy 91 property and he sucked. He rushed me out of there. the pictures online did not represent what I toured! not sure what the problem was? But I would never trust this company or that entitled weirdo. Don't get scammed by this unprofessional company!!

Andrew and Tracy have been managing rentals for my house in Leadville. They have been very timely providing reports on rental income and expenses and have addressed needed repairs quickly and kept me well informed. When I asked questions I received an immediate response and all of the information I required. In all of my dealings with them, I have found them to be very professional, responsive and am very pleased with the value I receive for their services.

Have been a tenant of Independence for over 2 years. Have never had any problems. When we moved to town, Andrew worked with our schedule and showed us several properties. We have only had a couple maintenance requests, and they were handled quickly. Paying rent and communicating is easy through the company website. I really don't understand the negative reviews here. I used to be in the property management business, and Independence does a much better job than other companies I have worked with.

As a home owner I trust Andrew and Tracy totally . My home is always looked after. The up keep is perfect and they pay such close attention to detail. I never Worry about it. Andrew and Tracy are trustworthy and honest. I have been with them from the very start and will never look at another property management company. I cant say enough about them or their business, thanks guys look forward to many years with you.

My grandmother's babies are buried up in Leadville. I promised her that I would always put flowers on their grave when I was in the area. I have also shown my grand children how to honor our past family. Truly love endures!

As as an Irish citizen who emigrated to the US leaving my family and my country at age 23 to pursue a career in the medical field; this is one of the saddest places I have ever visited. There's approximately 1,400 unmarked graves of Irish men, women and children at this cemetary. The average age of death was 23. So many stillborn babies and young children who perished. It's a place with deep meaning for today's Irish immigrants and a place to reflect and think of how badly immigrants from many poor countries are being treated today by Republican politicians when when they arrive in the US.

Well, it was pretty much dead when I got there...but it's open 24/7...unfortunately playing thriller at midnight on Halloween does not, in fact, wake the dead...

Awesome stop. Mike, the docent, brought history alive for us as we learned about Horace Tabor, his first wife Augusta, second wife Elizabeth, and their life from incredible wealth to financial ruin. Beautifully furnished home, well worth a visit.

A great tour by a local mining and history buff, Sharon, who worked underground herself as an engineer. Great info about the Tabor home and history, residents, furnishings, Tabor family, mining history, Wow. Would highly recommend. .

The guide was phenomenal, I can't speak highly enough of him! Wonderful historical artifacts to connect with the story as well. I definitely recommend stopping in!

Very good curator. A lot of interesting history and artifacts from the towns early days. Here you can see artifacts like first vacuum cleaner, hundred year old pianos, horse wagons, and everything in between.

Our experience at this resort was truly exceptional. The breathtaking mountains provided a fantastic backdrop, and the ski and snowboard school exceeded our expectations, with outstanding instructors who were both skilled and engaging. However, what truly distinguished our visit were the dedicated employees who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. When my son had a minor fall on the mountain, Olivia in rentals took the time to listen to my mother’s concerns and addressed them with great care. Her thoughtful assistance made a significant difference. Additionally, Winter from first aid was incredibly patient and understanding, providing excellent care to both my 5-year-old and myself. We are already looking forward to returning for another memorable experience!

Absolutely love Ski Cooper!!!! I love smaller resorts- less crowded with a family feel. I went on Saturday thinking it would be busy. There was quite a crowd, but not bad at all. I love the runs- perfect for beginners. I love that with the main ski lift you can already access greens, blues, and a few blacks without going any further, if you don't want to. My only take away is I wish they had a bigger or another retail store. Other than that, another favorite resort of mine!

My favorite place to ski!!! I’ve been to a few mountains, but always want to come back to Ski Cooper. My husband and I have been going here for 15 years now. We did take a big break since Covid and having a baby, but the renovations are amazing! The staff is always the best! The most friendliest people. We love ski cooper ❤️❄️

We took it family here to ski and snowboard Christmas week and we loved it! This was it first time skiing and boarding so we took lessons from the ski school. Our ski instructor, Larry, was awesome and very patient with us! Our daughter’s snowboard instructor was also amazing! We didn’t make it off the Family Ski Slope but we had a blast. By the end of the day, we had all gained a lot of confidence. Every employee we encountered here was very nice and welcoming. We rented all our gear from Cooper and for folks who don’t know anything it was fine. This is a very unpretentious ski resort, it was not very crowded, and it was easy to get around. We are lunch at the cafeteria and it was pretty good. Our only critique is there aren’t any places to sit and take a break except in the lunch and bar areas.

What an amazing ski resort!!! I've been all over CO. and I always see rude employees... NOT at Ski Cooper!!! The staff was super friendly, very patient and kind!!! What a spectacular venue, family friendly, full of beginner and intermediate runs, but with those double blacks as well to satisfy the seasoned skiers/snowboarders! Everything about the place was chill, not even 1 person on the slopes was angry and yelling about lines, because everyone was very respectful to everyone else!!! Of course, there's a taproom and it's very quaint but such a cool vibe inside!!!! I highly recommend taking your family here!

I’d love to keep this place a secret but man it’s just too good! Amazing prices and vibes. Came on the Thursday before Christmas and the crowds were TINY! Only con to this ski resort is the slow lifts, it took about 11 minutes to gain 1000ft of vert.

The trail is long it’s better to start early so that one can finish before 2 pm and you are below treeline by 12 pm, we started at 5:15 am and finished around 1:30 pm but this included all stops and time at summit the moving time was around 6:15 hrs. The trail should be known for it’s false summit. There are atleast 3 before you hit the real summit. The day today was windy and it hit us hard above the treeline and at the summit. The views at the top were rewarding and worth the effort. The parking gets full early so it’s better to be there before 5 am on a weekday, even earlier on weekends. A great hike and the elevation does hit you at 14200 Feet, but nothing too bad if you have good lungs and are fit. Overall the trial is well kept and maintained, great class I hike to start with the 14neers

We chose the North trail, and while it’s not a bad route at all, it is quite steep. I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners or for anyone who hasn’t had time to acclimate to the altitude. There is a free parking lot with a restroom, but that’s where the infrastructure ends – which is a bit of a shame. In Poland, mountain trails often lead to huts with full service at the summit, where you can order food or a hot drink after a demanding hike. Here the trail feels wild and untouched, which is definitely worth appreciating. Still, I think it would be helpful to have small, empty huts above the tree line where hikers could take cover from the wind, which can be very strong (at least in September). That said, I’d still recommend the hike. It’s a fun adventure and a rewarding challenge.

Third time climb to Mt Elbert, one time on black cloud(south east)trail, two times on north trail. The North trail was most easy way to the summit, the black cloud was definitely the most beautiful trail and the hardest trail, the summit was amazing, will visit again.

highly recommend bringing spikes, hiked this weekend probably would've been a lot easier with spikes unless you like sprained ankles :) some ice up up top at the summit, pretty windy, about 16 miles, 5k feet elevation gain, and almost 8 hours there and back

Incredible day, zipping down the mountain with our three guides. They were professional, safe, but also fun and humorous. Their whole goal was to ensure we had a great experience.

We scheduled this zip line tour on our last day in Colorado, 8/25. We arrived in the pouring rain and 41degree temps. Our guide, Leland, was very reassuring that he believed the weather would break. He applied no pressure that we had to go if we weren’t comfortable. Thankfully the skies cleared and we had a beautiful day! Our group was small—only 5 of us—so we got a lot of time to appreciate the views and scenery. This was our first experience zip lining and it was fantastic! We felt safe at all times and the guides were engaging and informative as well as reassuring. Highly recommend!

This was definitely the highlight of our visit to charming Leadville and we had an absolute blast! Leland and Mario were so professional, friendly and eased my nervousness at the beginning. They were knowledgeable, fun and safety conscious. They made our experience the best with such beautiful views and history. This place is a must-do in Colorado! All of our group had the most fun and the guides were extremely friendly and welcoming. They explained everything clearly so even as a first timer, I felt very safe. The views are incredible!

This experience was SO fun and a nice touch to our Colorado road trip adventure! The three people working here were knowledgeable about the area and told us stories about how this zip line came to be too. They were also very helpful and kind and we felt 100% comfortable with the safety of this experience. This is because each of the 6 zip lines had two cables with very big, strong carabiners and the employees were thorough and careful. The Humvee ride to the top and the very small hikes between each zip line were enjoyable as well. Would do this again with these folks for sure!

Cool visitors center with plenty of information about local history. Several menus of the restaurants nearby. Places to sit on the porch, one of them rocks oh so pleasantly. Worth a walk in to find out more about things to do.

I'm so excited about the new direction of the Leadville Visitors Center! This time I went in and they were able to give excellent advice for where to stay and where to eat. Did you know that Leadville has over 100 miles of free groomed trails?! When I visited 2 years ago I was not impressed. There must be something going on there that's really changing the way they do business. Super friendly staff :)

Stopped in here this past Friday afternoon. Asked about places to hike. The woman there was snippy and said "you think you're going to hike here without snow shoes or skis? This is a summer place to come anyway. There isn't any hiking here in the winter." She made us feel stupid, unwelcome, and disappointed. I talked to some locals and indeed found out about the Mineral Belt trail which is accessible close to the Visitor's Center. We hiked it and had a great time. We drove 3 hours to get there having read on Leadville/TwinLakes.com that there were hiking trails.

Super nice people in the Visitors Center. There's a lot of history in Leadville and the lady working there seemed to be an expert. She gave us some great info and directed us to places to visit. The Mining Museum is definitely worth a visit.

I stopped in the Visitors Center a few weeks ago to drop off some brochures and the ambassador at the front desk was kind and helpful. She shared the updates the Visitor Center has undergone in the past 6 months regarding parking improvements and COVID precautions. Way to go Leadville Visitors Center- great job making improvements to best serve visitors.

No dogs allowed unfortunately. There are 2 picnic shelters that each had a long picnic table and a trash can. There is at least 1 waist-high grill available as well as a restroom and a large grassy area.

No bathroom, no playground. Covered picnic tables, but when we stopped, a man was peeing in the shelter where the picnic tables were.

Our favorite park in leadville. Great for large parties and live music. The park has plenty of jungle Jim's and swings, bathrooms and lots of grass! Its a quick walk down a paved mineral trail.

Fabulous park with shelter from the wind and rain. Met here after the Leadville marathon and grilled burgers. Sheltered area was perfect for post race conversation with friends.

One of the best Colorado art galleries around. I wish I had more disposable income to buy everything. We definitely make a stop here every time we are in town. Great staff and incredible local artists.

Was walking by, on a snowy day. Saw the inviting entrance and went in. First was struck by the utter peacefulness and zen of the shop. It’s really something special. The curation of art and collectibles is top-notch. Bought a ring that called to me. Paid. And walked out happy and rejuvenated. Thank you for quality stuff. And a quality experience! ✌🏽💗🙏🏽

We stopped here on our way home from Salida and I love this little gallery/art shop. I love how it set up and everything’s kind of intermittent mingled so you can take your time and find lots of little treasures.

Great place to visit for local goods and photos. Think I'll return to get some postcards because the art work is truly one of kind. Staff was friendly, place is easily accessible, and Leadville has the best art galleries. This is certainly one of them.
