American restaurant

La Tour Restaurant is a sophisticated French bistro nestled in the heart of Vail Village. Chef-owner Paul Ferzacca showcases his culinary expertise with a blend of classic and modern French-accented dishes, along with elegant twists on American cuisine. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list and has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Wine Spectator award.
The service was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the hostess with a warm smile. Adam our server did an amazing job explaining the menu and recommended a lot of tasty dishes for me to try. He also made great drinks! The food was cooked to perfection. I have been living in Vail for a few years and have tried many restaurants and this one is by far my favorite. From the moment you sit down to the moment you leave it is an incredible experience. I was in a food coma at the end of the night. The staff is amazing, you can tell they all really care and show great hospitality, very personal and attentive. The restaurant owner came to the table to make sure the food was perfect. She is so sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant as it is by far one of the best in Vail.

I had dinner at La Tour in Vail the other night, and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences I have had. Even though it was off season, the menu felt complete and had something for everyone. I follow a plant based lifestyle, so I usually walk into new restaurants with low expectations, but La Tour changed that immediately. Our waiter, Carpenter, was outstanding. He treated the menu like it was his own and guided me with real care. He asked thoughtful questions, double checked ingredients, and made recommendations that actually matched what I enjoy. It felt personal and intentional, which is rare even in fine dining. Chef Paul Ferzacca, the owner, also came out to greet us, and that made the evening even more memorable. He has been cooking in this same Vail location for 27 years, which says everything about the quality of this restaurant. His experience is obvious, but so is his passion. He listened, he cared about our feedback, and he offered custom plant based options without hesitation. That kind of hospitality is hard to find anywhere, especially in resort towns. I ordered the quinoa salad, and it was honestly the best one I have ever had. It was full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and had just a touch of heat without being overwhelming. I do not handle spice well, so I appreciated the way it woke up my senses without crossing the line. The greens, vegetables, quinoa, and dressing all worked together beautifully. It was vibrant and exciting, not bland or watered down like many vegetarian or plant based options can be. The bar offerings at La Tour also impressed me. The bartender moved with the confidence of someone who really knows her craft, and the drink list had thoughtful options for every kind of diner. Carpenter’s drink suggestions were perfect. If you are looking for the best restaurants in Vail, whether you want vegan, vegetarian friendly options, plant based dishes, creative cocktails, or a memorable fine dining experience, I would absolutely recommend La Tour. Even in off season, this restaurant does not cut corners. The service, the food, and the overall experience are all worth it. I would return in a heartbeat.

Elegant upscale restaurant offering exquisite French-American cuisine, an extended wine list, outstanding service and cozy ambience. Generous portions, so we alway shared an appetizer and an entree.
Dasha E — Google review
A good choice for a French restaurant in Vail. A combination of salty and sweet flavors from the selected dishes, the first course "Truffle French Onion Soup" was very tasty. For the main course, we ordered three of the options, and they were all really good: "Five Spice Crispy Duck Breast," "Heluka Pork Chop," and "Pan Roasted Organic Scottish Salmon." To top it off, the dessert "Profiteroles with Armagnac Date Ice Cream." I congratulate the waiter Gustavo, who served us with great courtesy and kindness
Enrique A — Google review
I thought it was a fancy restaurant, but it doesn’t seem like it. Food was nice, we had the escargot, very good. The filet mignon was nice, mushrooms delicious, but the croquettes were very soggy. Wine selection was decent.
Sylvie B — Google review
The service was exceptional, beyond expectations for any restaurant, more on par with a private club. The food was amazing, we had a large party and passed plates, the escargot, BBQ’d oysters, shrimp and artichoke appetizers were all amazing, the escargot was better than any I have had traveling in France. Dinner was equally exceptional, the scallops were amazing and my wife’s Black Cod was also exceptional. The wine list is one of the best I have seen, the wines are not chosen by popularity or label but by taste and quality. There are some great values! Overall excellent service and even better food and they really did go beyond expectations to accommodate a large party of 10!
Adam — Google review
La Tour, a charming French restaurant in Vail Village, has apparently been in operation at this location for twenty-six years. The menu consistently features locally sourced ingredients, such as "Palisade peaches" and local mushrooms. The chef, adhering to Julia Child's well-known advice regarding mushrooms, ensures the mushrooms are not overcrowded. Furthermore, the entire staff actively monitors and serves the tables, guaranteeing prompt service. La Tour is indeed an exceptional French restaurant where both the menu and food consistently meet expectations.

Sweet Basil is a renowned dining destination in Vail Village, having occupied the same address since 1977. It has garnered a loyal following, including celebrity patrons like the Kardashians. The restaurant's elegant dining room and lively bar offer inspired New American cuisine and trendy drinks. Owner Matt Morgan, who started his career at Sweet Basil, has maintained its reputation while also opening other successful eateries.
We came to Sweet Basil the night after our wedding to celebrate. The food was absolutely amazing and was one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives. The gnocchi was so delicious we are still craving it one week later, and the toffee pudding cake was incredible. The service was excellent as well and we cannot wait to go back soon!
Laurel A — Google review
We came in for a late lunch and were really impressed by the food and the view. We had the heirloom tomato salad and I had the Argentine shrimp while my husband had the salmon. Each dish was so flavorful and well cooked. The shrimps were tender but still have a slight crisp and I loved how well cooked and flavorful the veggies in the dish were as well. Would come back again to try out other dishes if we have the chance

We spent three days in Vail. So many great restaurants. Sweet Basil is clearly one of the best. We started with a gnocchi app that was glorious. The pork chop and Salmon were prepared perfectly. The lemon/fennel dessert was out of this world. We sat at the bar and had a great time with Andy the bartender and other guests at the bar. Pretty restaurant!!
Bob K — Google review
Such a fun experience. Our server Bobby, was 10/10. Super helpful with the menu, very fun to chat with and guided us through our meal with ease. Food was playful and thoughtful and really show cased so many flavor combinations. The pasta courses we would recommend as well as the sticky toffee pudding. Thank you for showing me and my family from Virginia an amazing night on a thunderstorm evening.
Jessika Y — Google review
We stopped here over Labor Day weekend for lunch. We sat outside on the little patio and watched all the people passing by. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the gnocchi in smoked tomato butter sauce with mozzarella and my husband had salmon with lemongrass rice. Both dishes were lovely and perfectly seasoned with a surprising variety of texture which made the dishes even more satisfying. I had a Mexican senorita cocktail and my husband had a blonde ale, both were wonderful.
Mrs K — Google review
We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Sweet Basil! Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Between our group we enjoyed the beef tenderloin, salmon, Iberian duroc pork, and the Dungeness crab bucatini—each one was perfection. For dessert, the toffee pudding cake was the perfect sweet ending, especially paired with an espresso martini or coffee. Our waitress, Lora, was fantastic—warm, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. She made the evening even more enjoyable with her recommendations and professionalism. The atmosphere is lively yet elegant, and it’s clear why Sweet Basil has such a stellar reputation in Vail. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!
Kim B — Google review
Really good food in Vail! I wish they would have a soup or stew option but the things I have gotten are all great. Recently had the ricotta gnocchi and the shrimp la plancha. Both excellent. I'd round this up to 4.5 stars but the prices are too steep to give it a full 5.
Katie B — Google review
It’s our second time here and we absolutely loved it! It’s a must if you come to Vail. The food was exceptional, specially the gnocchi, beef with pancake and the dessert wowww🤩Also great cocktails 🍸

Mountain Standard is an upscale gastropub located in Vail Village, offering a stylish and woody space to enjoy New American cuisine, beers, and bourbons. The restaurant excels in serving indulgent gastropub classics such as crudo, flatbreads, and hearty grilled proteins. Alpenrose and Almresi are sister restaurants with Swiss-focused menus that complement the overall dining experience.
Stopped in for lunch while visiting Vail Village for the afternoon and totally worth it. Slight wait to be seated as only 2 waiters today, but they did great. Mu husband and I started with the warm pimento cheese and pepper jam and toasted bread and a country ham bisquit for each of us. Both were fabulous. We split the grilled crab and cheese sandwich and soup and ordered an extra bowl of soup. The cheese was a perfect contrast to the crab on the sandwich and the porky tomato soup was great too. We left pleasantly full and very happy with our meal.
Monica S — Google review
Quite the busy and popular restaurant, with dishes that do not disappoint. Mountain Standard has many fusion dishes with a Korean dish (the first photo) that I would recommend every table order and eat. Unfortunately, I do not remember the names of the dishes but I would tell you to order them all!!! I will say though, that the staff were BUSY with our waitress being so busy she forgot our drinks. It was an honest mistake but not getting a single drink before finishing our dinner was quite annoying. Luckily, the manager was more than accommodating and made our nice all the better. Despite some bumps, I would definitely come back to this restaurant to try the rest of the menu!
Andy L — Google review
If you are in vail village, you should try out this place. Highly recommend to get trout potato fritters, piri piri chicken (only if you can handle spicy) and pork shank with mashed potatoes. We didn’t try dessert.
P N — Google review
just finished our first meal at Mountain Standard, 10/10! The ambiance and elevated cozy ski lodge atmosphere set the tone for an incredible delicious dinner. Every dish ordered was packed with flavor, thoughtfully presented and fresh as could be. Our server Emily was wonderfully attentive as well as an excellent guide in navigating the menu. Tahini dip, wedge salad, piri piri chicken and the rainbow trout were all delightful!
Jessi W — Google review
Still befuddled by this experience. The food is some of the best we ate while in Vail. But the service was absolutely the worst. We stood/waited 5 minutes at the hostess stand before having our reservation acknowledged and being seated. And then waited another 5-10 minutes at our booth before a waitress came over to acknowledge, oops. ‘I just learned you were my table.’ Her indifference spanned the meal; my impression was that this was the ‘hot’ restaurant in Vail and we should feel lucky to be there. Wish the kitchen surcharge (3%) and tip was doled out in reverse because the food was fantastic. We will remember both the grilled octopus and pork shank for a long time as stand-out dishes. And the cocktail I had, combining mezcal and yellow chartreuse was a creative winner. Still, for the price I will give pause before returning or trying the sister property Sweet Basil because it felt odd having the experience tainted by being poorly executed full service.
Phil V — Google review
I absolutely love Vail — and Mountain Standard made me love it even more! The Prime Beef Carpaccio was next-level delicious, and honestly, everything we ordered was incredible. Even without a reservation, the staff went above and beyond to fit us in — true hospitality at its best. I highly recommend making a reservation though, because this place fills up fast (and for good reason!). It was hands down one of our best meals in Vail Village. Do yourself a favor and eat here — you’ll thank me later! My photo doesn’t even begin to do this appetizer justice!
Maria G — Google review
Octopus appetizer dish is a must try. Overall the dishes we got including burger and halibut were are incredible and had so much flavors. One of the best restaurants in Vail.
Sanaz Z — Google review
Service was awesome, great staff recommendations. The bone in pork dish was our favorite, but everything was delicious! Cocktails were perfect, good selection of spirits. The old fashioned with their restaurant selected Elijah Craig bourbon was the best I’ve had in my memory! Wonderful indoor and outdoor space. Will definitely come back next time we’re back in town!

Sushi restaurant
Restaurant
Matsuhisa is a renowned Japanese restaurant known for its exquisite seafood and tasting menus crafted by chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The Vail Village outpost offers a contemporary dining experience in the atrium of Solaris, with a vibrant atmosphere and stunning views of Vail Mountains. The restaurant features classic dishes such as yellowtail jalapeno, New Style seared tuna, and broiled black cod with miso.
We were treated to an amazing experience for a 7 pm. dinner reservation last Wednesday. The service and ALL of the menu items were outstanding! The waitstaff who worked as a team were very attentive, answered all our questions, kept our beverages full, and cleared our empty plates quickly. Our server, Marilyn, was lovely and very professional, and we enjoyed ALL her menu suggestions. The only downside to this wonderful experience is that we were a party of 5, at a large round table, and the noise level was really loud. All the people having a great time and dinner and drinks at the bar, along with the dance music, prevented us from hearing our servers unless they leaned down and spoke to you directly. Other than that, we had a terrific experience and will definitely go back and choose an earlier dining time.
Peggy B — Google review
We booked our table in advance. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn’t that full and it did get quite busy towards the end of our visit. The service was excellent, our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, especially the fish dishes, which were outstanding. Prices are on the higher side. One thing we didn’t like was that the main courses came out before our appetizers and soup. We weren’t informed in advance that dishes would be served as they were read, we would have preferred to have everything in the usual order. Overall, it’s an excellent restaurant and recommend it if you’re visiting Vail.
Abdul A — Google review
Atmosphere was maybe the best part. Nothing wowed us on our anniversary dinner. We've had better sushi in Minnesota. We ordered two of their 'secret' rolls and both were good but not $25 a roll. Didn't provide special service for our anniversary. I wouldn't recommend this place nor will we be back with so many options in Vail.
Jon R — Google review
This place is absolutely amazing. Delicious food, excellent service, huge selection of wines, and just a perfect time. Everyone is so nice and is so professional. David was an exceptional server. Attention to detail in every aspect. Must visit when in Vail!
Jacob N — Google review
Drop by here for a quick bite. Food was delicious. Had the heart of palm salad which was refreshing and acidic. Seafood soup was hearty and warming with scallop squid and shrimp. Broth was mushroomy. King crab tempera was very solid as well. It was more pieces but smaller ones vs what you would see at nobu. Vegetable sushi was tightly rolled and delicious.
Andy — Google review
Was in town for go pro games.Did the omakase and added a sea bass with truffles. Great server who guided us through the meal. Sat at the bar. The head chef kept showing off some truffles he had. Way better than expected for sushi in the middle of the rockies.
Daniel W — Google review
Menu = 1 star. Our experience started w/ a scavenger hunt for a cocktail list buried at the end of 50 pages of wine. The sushi menu lists only names like “negihama” and “negitoro” with zero descriptions. The server had to explain all the ingredients of each roll and then told us about three rolls that weren’t even on the menu. For me, this really killed the vibe and made it hard to order, relax, and come to a consensus with my date on what to eat. A menu should detail ingredients and flavors in order to guide decision making in an efficient process. Before you go, plan to research photos and find descriptions (not available through the actual restaurant). This feels seem outrageous, am I the only person who thinks this is frustrating? Example: Menu: House Special Roll 6 pieces per order. Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab, whitefish, smelt egg, scallion, avocado, wrapped in a daikon radish.
Kassidy B — Google review
Easily our favorite restaurant in the valley. The staff especially shines in the care and service. If you are new to Nobu or Matsuhisa, simply tell your server what things you like or dislike, and trust completely that they will provide a great experience.

The Little Diner is a cozy spot located in Lionshead Village, right next to Vail Village. You can easily walk between the two or take a quick free bus ride. Sitting at the bar allows you to watch the food being prepared and helps with decision making. The Farmer's Breakfast is highly recommended, and you can upgrade to a delicious chocolate chip pancake for just $1.
The staff was very polite and swift to seat and serve us. They had good music and a friendly atmosphere. Croissant sandwich was flavorful, bun was fluffy and light. Eggs and ham were seasoned and cooked well. $12 for a sandwich is a fair price compared to nearby diners

Yummy, fluffy pancakes, enormous crepes with great cocktails. Try the Peanut butter Hot Chocolate with or without Whiskey, delish! Keep the strollers at home, their intimate space has a few 8 tops but mostly 4 tops. T
Helen J — Google review
During our first of what will be many visits to Vail, our friends raved about The Little Diner for a classic and comforting brunch that hits all the right notes. My wife had the large, fluffy biscuits generously smothered in rich, creamy sausage gravy—savory and indulgent without being overwhelming. Accompanying the biscuits were perfectly scrambled eggs and a hearty serving of crispy hash browns, adding both texture and balance to the plate. Being an omelet fan, the Southwestern was a standout on the plate—beautifully golden and fluffy, filled with delicious chorizo, their specialty chili's (with more requested on the side), and chock-full of cheese. With both dishes, their crispy hash browns (watching how they were prepared) were a knock-out of the park. I was able to ask for a side of pancakes, and they were brought out early with our mimosas, which made for a perfect breakfast appetizer. Each component was well-prepared and flavorful, making the meal feel both satisfying and familiar. It’s the kind of brunch that reminds you why diners are such beloved staples—simple, hearty, and delicious. Plus, sitting at the bar not only gave you a look into how the kitchen runs, but also the friendly and regular touch from the wait staff. If you're in Vail and craving a traditional brunch done right, don't miss out on The Little Diner as a staple that's worth a visit.

What a fantastic little stop over for lunch I had here. We were headed to Georgetown and had this place marked on our map as we heard really great things about their food options. I had the BLT on menu and the sandwich was fantastic. Lots of really crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato. In addition to the sandwich were a heaping pile of fries. There was so much food I had to take the rest with me for left overs. Highly recommend stopping here if you're staying in Vail or driving through!
Matt B — Google review
The restaurant had a classic diner vibe, which was nice to see. It was a little busy, so come prepared for a short wait as they cycle people in and out. For drinks, I like my coffee strong, so I ordered a hot Americano with two extra shots of espresso. It was perfect—just the way I like it. For the food, we loved everything here. You can't go wrong with anything. We shared several dishes, but my favorites were the Pork Chops & Eggs and the Pancakes. The service was excellent. I didn't catch our server's name, but he was great. He cracked several jokes, making the experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast. I haven't tried their lunch or dinner, but I'm sure it'll be great. I'm looking forward to coming back.

I had an outstanding experience at The Little Diner in Vail. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and served hot and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming—exactly the kind of spot you want to find in a mountain town. A special shout-out to our waiter, Parker, who made the visit exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. His recommendations were spot-on, and his upbeat attitude added so much to the overall experience. If you’re in Vail and looking for a great meal with even better service, you can’t go wrong with The Little Diner. Can’t wait to return!

I loved the breakfast in this place. I think that Parker, the waiter that took care of us, deserves a raise. He was really kind. He talked to us about where we were from and gave us tips on what to do here. My personal favorite item on the menu was the sundae crepe. I liked how creamy and delicious it was. The atmosphere was really nice and the service was amazing. The food was definitely worth the price and you won't regret coming here. It was truly THE BEST food I ate in Colorado.

German restaurant
Restaurant
Alpenrose Vail is a well-established German-Austrian restaurant in Vail, offering traditional European specialties since 1974. The restaurant is known for its homestyle cuisine featuring German, Austrian, and Swiss delicacies such as goulash, dumplings, and Kasspatzle.
Coming to Vail I was most excited to visit an Alpine restaurant serving the most authentic German/Austrian food I have had since I lived in Frankfurt and Vienna. We were welcomed immediately by an excited host to show us the various cozy seating options. We chose the Biergarten, but don't overlook the animal fur covered seats inside. Our server, Smara, went above and beyond to make us feel at home (in the Austrian Alps of course) but also was incredibly friendly and attentive. She told us the history of Alpenrose Vail and we may be back just for this experience. Hands down the most authentic German/Austrian meal outside of the real thing.
Matthew H — Google review
One of the most amazing restaurants ever! Loved the ambience, the food, the staff and every little detail. My first experience with German cuisine was absolutely amazing, and it was vegetarian friendly with lots of options available. The desserts are also amazing and I would recommend making reservations as it fills up quick. A must visit in Vail!
Ananya M — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at Alpenrose in Vail, our table on the front porch offered a charming atmosphere. We began with an Alpen Spritzer and a small Alpenrose Pilsner, then moved on to the Schnitzel Rockies & Roses and the Zartes Kalbsgulasch - we ordered both with mashed potatoes. For dessert, we tried the Palatschinken and the Apfelstrudel - each was excellent. The food was authentic and flavorful, and the service was warm and attentive. Alpenrose is a must-visit in Vail for anyone looking for an authentic European dining experience.

After a hike at Meadows Loop, we came down the gondola to find a place for lunch. Saw this with strong yelp and Google reviews and opt to check it out. Line was only 5-10 min but place was pretty full. Think of it running at near full capacity. We absolutely love the themeing indoors with the cuckoo clocks and woodsy feel of seating area. Had the cheese fondue, their veal mushroom dish, and also their vegetarian curry. Highly recommend as everything was cooked to perfection and not overly flavored that they crushed your taste buds. Also got their non alcoholic spritzer. Def recommend for those looking for a fun German alpine fair.

The reviews are spot on! This charming German restaurant is conveniently located in Vail Village. Our server, Samuel was very attentive and hospitable. I made reservations ahead of time and requested seating in the patio which had amazing views of the farmer's market and the mountain. The food was incredible! We got the Pretzel and cheese, Schnitzel with spatzle, Bergsteiger "beef" stew, and for drinks I got the Limoncello.

This was SUCH a vibe, waitstaff were very friendly, positive, & upbeat. They truly made the experience. We loved the decor, setting, & outdoor & indoor spaces. We had the fondue, smoked salmon, & apple dessert and highly recommend!

What a beautiful design of this place you feel like you're in something 200 years old. The indoor seating is fantastic as well as the covered outdoor seating which is highly popular. The German beers are outstanding. Always lots of people having fun. Great staff

I just can’t stop thinking about our evening at Alpenrose Vail — it was truly magical! After a beautiful day surrounded by Vail’s breathtaking mountain views, we found ourselves in this cozy, charming spot that felt like a little corner of the Alps right in Colorado. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors. Every dish we tried was absolutely outstanding: • Perfectly cooked, tender meat with rich, balanced flavors. • Crispy potato rösti with a creamy, silky sauce that melted in our mouths. • And to finish — a decadent dessert that was the perfect ending to the evening. And, of course, the schnaps — the perfect final touch that made the whole experience feel authentic and unforgettable. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks — everything was flawless. Alpenrose isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience you’ll want to return to again and again. Five stars, without a doubt — absolutely deserved! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Italian restaurant
La Nonna Ristorante Vail is a charming spot where executive chef Simone Reatti infuses traditional Dolomite cuisine with a sophisticated twist. The open kitchen adds to the lively, rustic ambiance, and the attentive service embodies the warm mountain town spirit. It's a popular choice for date nights, offering delectable dishes like grilled Spanish octopus and sumptuous pasta options such as mushroom ravioli in cream sauce and white truffle oil.
I did receive a confirmation text and also a call back in the early afternoon to confirm the reservation. The calamari is freshly crispy and tender inside. We ordered 4 different pastas to try out and share. The portion is great for my son and daughter after a long day’s skiing. The homemade pastas are really tasty in different shapes and sauces. Though the dishes are a bit pricy but the overall dining experience, service and atmosphere is excellent.

Great place for your Italian fix! The evening started off a little rough - we were seated but after 30 minutes we finally asked someone walking by if they knew who our server was. Apparently there was a mixup on whose table it was so nobody came to check on us. A little frustrating since we were just sitting there looking around for 30 minutes but once our server came over, the night turned out fine. The menu had a lot of great options but the one dish I was most looking forward to was the short ribs. I’m a sucker for short ribs so naturally that’s what I ordered. My wife ordered one of their pastas and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We didn’t partake in any drinks but they had a huge wine menu and other assorted cocktails. Even though the night started off a little rough, the food made up for it as it was delicious! We will certainly be back again.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants outside of Italy! Chef Simone created an authentic Italian menu full of those flavors that they make you dream about Italy at each single bite. Besides the great food the service was impeccable and the atmosphere is wonderful. My wife and I were there for my 60th birthday and I’m looking forward to go back for more!

We’ve dined at La Nonna twice before over the past couple of years and were always impressed with the fine Italian cuisine, so we were excited to return. The restaurant itself is stunning—cathedral ceilings, large picture windows, and a warm, inviting ambiance. The service remains impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. However, what was seriously lacking this time was the food. Dishes that were once rich, flavorful, and indulgent felt underwhelming and uninspired. The wild boar pasta (Tagliatelle al Cinghiale), which used to be our favorite dish, was a major disappointment—dry, lacking sauce, and missing the depth of flavor that once made it a standout. The lamb ragu pasta, was decent but nowhere near the caliber you’d expect from a restaurant where reservations are nearly impossible to secure. The lobster risotto, a special of the night, barely had any lobster—just a few tiny pieces, making it feel like a regular risotto rather than something special. Overall, La Nonna still offers a beautiful setting and top-notch service, but the food has taken a noticeable step down. For a place with such a stellar reputation, we expected much more. Hopefully, this was just an off night, but given how difficult it is to get a table, it’s hard to justify the effort for a meal that felt so underwhelming.

We had an early dinner, 3rd week in June. Not crowded, good service, delicious pasta. The risotto took a LONG time to arrive. We ordered it with our meals. The meals came, we ate, plates cleared, waited, then the risotto came. Thought that was odd. Tiramisu was delicious!

We really enjoyed our experience here. Our waitress Kaitlyn was very attentive to our needs and they even squeezed us in last minute even though we did not have a reservation for the evening. Our food came out fast and was incredibly tasty. I do think the wild boar pasta did taste just like beef stroganoff in a sense. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal.

I would give 10 stars if I could. The best gnocchi I have ever had! Lori was our waitress and she was excellent and gave great service and recommendations for wine paring:) Everyone was very kind and we will absolutely be back. There was a last minute cancellation so we’re able to get a reservation last minute. But make sure you make your reservations in advance.

Osaki’s is a hidden gem in Vail, offering an authentic Japanese dining experience. The restaurant operates on a unique reservation system, only accepting bookings after 5:30pm for the same night and the following night. Despite this, the effort is well worth it for the exceptional fish selection. Diners can choose from daily sashimi or nigiri specials listed on a whiteboard, with options like hamachi belly or sea bream with yuzu salt.
This was our first dinner at Osaki’s. We enjoyed the omakase experience. Everything was delicious. The freshest sushi we have had in Vail area. This is definitely a hidden gem. We will be back. Thanks again to the chef.

Very busy place, we walked in with no reservation and they were gracious enough to make room for us, food was amazing and service was spectacular. Lupe was a fantastic hostess and all the team on point and wonderful! A must in Vail 🍣

I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER had this authentic, and high-quality of a sushi experience. I do not understand how they don’t have 5 stars. I don’t know if anyone else does this, but every now and again, I’ll have a meal that I cannot stop thinking about and I compare any future experiences with that type of food to that experience. Well, I will be doing that with this meal for a very long time! I stumbled upon this place by happy accident, and they were so accommodating to myself and my family. Go check it out- you’ll be glad you did!
Jillian W — Google review
If I could give 10/5 stars I would. Did the nigiri omakase and it was fabulous. It includes some starters (miso soup, salads, etc) and then the most luxurious fish followed by in my case a green tea mocha ice cream. I'm a huge salmon fan and even with no salmon I've never had such a great sushi experience. Small place too so the level of attention was great. I only took one picture the whole time because I was just reveling on each item.
Katie B — Google review
Sushi omakase at Vail was just what was needed for the seafood fix. A small and intimate restaurant that feels homely while serving high-end sushi. The fish tasted fresh and came out in a timely fashion; not too fast and not too slowly. We got the Osaki’s course menu that had all the options. And one of our party had a shellfish allergy and they were very accommodating with that and able to serve an altered course as well; brownie pointe to them!
Andy L — Google review
I love this minimalistic sushi place. Overall 5 stars for the exceptional food and great service but I am sorry that I strongly think their $5 miso soup is off and didn't taste like miso soup. We sat at the bar and really enjoy seeing the chefs making sushi and rolls, very impressive. We were able to ask for an eel roll which is not on the menu. They make California roll with real crab meat that I never had anywhere else before. While it is pricey here, I found it is worth the price (except the miso soup).
Suthida C — Google review
This place was a little hidden but once we found it, it didn’t disappoint. They provided great tasting filtered water (really important, tells how much a place cares about their customers).we had the Salmon shrimp roll and soft shell crab rolls, both tasted great. Their seaweed salad was on point, a little small on the portion but on point. Service was excellent as well. There were only 3 of us eating but gratuity was automatically included at 18%, don’t know if this is a common thing for them when only 3 people are dining or a common thing in Vail, but that was fine, saved us 2% ;)

I’ve been twice in the last week. Once sat at the bar, once sat at a table. Both times were perfect. The food is unique and also delicious. The drinks were what brought us in originally. Awesome experience. Great food and even better drinks. JD made a solid few ones, the watermelon mezcal one was dope! Birria slaps. Why we continue to indulge. A fresh reminder that the way forward still requires the greatest mix of our most organic spirits.

Nestled within the stylish Gravity Haus Vail, Slope Room is an upscale New American restaurant that has quickly captured the hearts of both locals and visitors alike. Opened just two seasons ago, this inviting eatery offers a delightful array of unfussy yet imaginative dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The ambiance is nothing short of enchanting, featuring sleek blue velvet banquettes and modern crystal chandeliers that create a sophisticated backdrop for your dining experience.
Great breakfast and solid service. Their breakfast burrito was a winner, thanks to the avocado sauce that was served with the wrap. Their espresso was also great, and their strawberry banana smoothie was nicely blended. The side of potatoes we ordered was a huge portion, and the sides of sausages were well cooked and seasoned. Their hot tea was also great. Great little eatery inside Gravity Haus.

The restraunt is located inside the hotel which is nice. We were a group of ten. We had drinks and appetizers. I feel like we had great service when we first got there then it got busy and we were on our own. I had to leave our table to find someone to bring salt and pepper. This is an expensive restaurant and the food was good not great. They boast about their steak but it is bland with no seasoning and not sure if they have a new person grilling steaks but they are not cooked properly. We asked for med and it was rare. Someone at our table asked for well done it was medium. We had to send it back 3 times. The waiter should have stood there when she cut through it the first time it was sent back. Instead we waited till he served others on the other side of the restaurant. He did take care of it at the end but this shouldn’t happen for an $78 steak. I don’t think I would spend the money here. There are so many good restaurants in Vail.

Best food in Vail so far for us, even better than the institutional hot spot if you what I mean. Bison steak ; perfect charred, temperature and salt level. The mushroom and savoy cabbage side dish blow the roof off. Service is friendly, attentive but also relax and not stuffy. The dining room is beautiful. Hope to come back next time when in Vail.

Went for their New Years Eve Dinner. The bartenders and staff were on point. They were all working so hard and yet friendly. The food came out beautifully plated and the flavors well balanced. Only complaint nrom me was the Wagyu was over cooked. An tough. But they were super busy and I as a chef know sometimes its hard to keep the staff up and on top of it everytime. So things happen. I plan to return and enjoy their unique crafted cocktails and some wine and the charcuterie and other delicious menu items.

Bully Ranch Restaurant is a casual eatery and bar located within the Sonnenalp in Vail Village. The menu features a variety of burgers, Southwestern dishes, sandwiches, salads, and entrees made with fresh seasonal ingredients.
My husband and I came here for dinner and it was delicious! Service was great and friendly. I think the chicken sandwich was the best I’ve ever had! And my husband loved the burger he got. The tots are amazing too! Will definitely come back next time we’re in Vail!

We were one of a few tables seated, and the service was great as a result. The food was decent, but the ribs and burger we ordered were nothing to write home about. Their fries, however, were fantastic. Both the sweet potato wedges and French fries were deliciously crisp. The atmosphere was country, and the prices were reasonable for Vail.
Max A — Google review
Everyone loved their food. Ribs had a great sauce and meat fell off the bone (they even give you a bone bowl), burger, chicken sandwich, and wings. And the mudslide drink is noteworthy. Our server was lackluster and perhaps assigned more tables than he could keep up with. I was quite put off by the gum stuck under my chair that I touched when sliding my chair in—they really should check all the chairs for this regularly. The food was great even though the other stuff could use improvement. I did notice the water staff and other servers were doing a great job, so would expect improved service if coming back again, which we would as the food was great, but won’t grab the chair very closely next time… I like that they take reservations. You can valet park your car for a fee or just park in vail public parking and walk.
TravelR — Google review
We found this place last minute, after figuring out how much the off season limits availability of restaurants. That said, our experience tonight will probably have us back here, even when more restaurants are back open! We were greeted and seated quickly. The menu provided a lot of delicious options… so being hungry made the decision process more challenging. Our server recommended lots of favorites, highlighting the wings, the bourbon burger, and the fried chicken sandwich. We selected the burger and the chicken sandwich. The food was delicious and served faster than expected. Lots of “layers” to flavor and attention to quality ingredients. A great experience!
Arianne R — Google review
TL;DR stay AWAY from the kids menu! I’ve been coming to Bully Ranch regularly for many years and decided to update my review. The service is typically pretty good and has gotten better since they started to allow for reservations. The food is mostly great, just avoid the kids menu. Bully Ranch used to serve smaller servings of their adult menu items but at some point that changed. We ordered the kids pizza and kids steak. The pizza was about the same quality as a lunchable and was equally inedible. You can see in the picture how it compares to their adult pizza which is outstanding. The steak was just ok and the sides seemed like they came from a tv dinner. That all being said, their ribs, vegetarian meatballs with burrata, and Brussels sprouts were wonderful.

We enjoying a much needed caffeine boost of espresso and cappuccino at the bar here yesterday and were mesmerized by the food, service and ambiance here. It’s like we were transported to a cozy mountain retreat in Austria. We decided we had to come back a little later for dinner and so glad we did. We were greeted warmly by Vinnie who also took our order, and guided us to complete satisfaction! My husband and son both chose the Bison Burger while I had the tomato soup, all memorably delicious choices. I normally don’t even like tomato soup, but Vinnie praised it so highly and I trusted him. There are not enough adjectives to express how truly extraordinary this soup was! It was created by one of world’s culinary gods that has a passion for their craft. And it was certainly enjoyed by this culinary goddess who rarely finds nirvana.

Not impressed. Our family came to enjoy a relaxed, casual dinner. We had been guests at the Sonnenalp Hotel. The quality of service we received at Bully Ranch was disappointing at best. Our waiter was as cold as the weather outside. He was stiff and uninterested in providing good service. He hurriedly spent less than a minute greeting our family and sharing menu highlights. Throughout our meal, we were the only guests seated at a table, with only five people at the bar. We made one request when ordering—a change in the salad dressing; it was not accommodated. The two stars are for the decor. I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will we return.

Almresi Vail is a charming restaurant in Vail Village that offers a cozy and rustic dining experience with its mountain cottage-style decor. The restaurant is run by the Thoma family, German expats who have brought their love for Bavarian culture to the Rockies. The dining room exudes an Alpine cottage ambiance with dark wood paneling, cuckoo clocks, and a pastry counter filled with strudels.
Almresi was recommended by friends and we were absolutely delighted by everything! Food and service were exceptional, at a pretty reasonable price for Vail. Highly recommend the raclette, generous portions. And the decor and ambience were cute modern Tyrolia. We really felt like we had stepped into an Alpen lodge. Well done and will be back!

Our dining experience was average, everything from the food to the atmosphere. The one redeeming quality was the service which was great - attentive and friendly, albeit the vibe just feels unauthentic and overdone. The atmosphere feels very touristy and definitely family friendly (which is great!), but we were looking for a more intimate date night spot and this is not the place. We had a later dinner reservation and it was way too bright inside, the food was on the blander side, and even items such as the salad came presented beautifully - but was really just iceberg lettuce and nothing to write home about in terms of flavors. We had 2 different entrees, the pretzel and a salad all leaving something to be desired. The drinks were good though! Would not come back and would recommend trying other spots in Vail Village.

Unmissable taste of the Alps in Vail. I’m from Switzerland and this is the best and most authentic alpine restaurant I’ve tried in the US. The German draft beers are the best in Vail (if you’re into European beers) and the traditional Swiss/Austrian/German dishes are delicious. The first night we ordered the “Raclette Grill & Fondue” dish that lets you grill raclette cheese, sausages, beef, and much more. As a traditional raclette meal requires, cornichon pickles and small potatoes were correctly served alongside. We came back the next day and were just as gratified. The pretzel with cheese dip and the “Resi’s schnitzel” served with spätzle were equally authentic and tasty, though the “Alm Pasta Südtirol” was disappointingly bland. The service and ambiance were fantastic. The owner and our amazing server Hendrik were both German, the staff wear traditional Bavarian clothing, and the wooden interior feels like a cozy chalet. Make sure to finish your meal with digestif shots of the sweet schnapps.

This was our second time eating here. This time was our 10 year anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious and we felt like we were back in Switzerland. It is nestled at the end of a shopping area surrounded by trees and water. The staff put the experience over the top and I would give 10 stars if possible! We didnt know they closed at 9; we were enjoying ourselves and the food so much. Never once did they make us feel that we needed to leave or hurry through our dinner. We overstayed by 50 minutes and not once did they elude to the overage of time. It was the perfect dinner from food to setting to great staff! Thank you for an amazing anniversary!

Einfach wunderbar!! From the ambience, service and food, absolutely awesome. My wife and I dined here for the 1st time yesterday and were highly impressed. All the servers and other staff were either German or Austrian, so it was very nice to be able to order and communicate in my native tongue, surely a great way to add authenticity. We sat outside overlooking the creek which was very romantic. My wife had the salmon and I had the pork, both great and the sides reminded me of Omi's cooking from back home (Berlin). The dessert choices are nice and ours was truly delicious! Followed that with adult coffee and 2 shots of schnapps! The 'Chef/ manager/ owner'is also extremely pleasant! Highly recommend if you're in Vail and looking for a nice Austrian/ German restaurant, you won't be disappointed. All photos taken onsite by myself.

Restaurant was styled to vintage looking European restaurant. Food was ok, not great. I could pay same price for better food. Ordered $32 pork ribs with red cabbage, not impressed by it. Ordered $30 pork schnitzel, it was dry and we had better ones for much lesser price. Overall, this is Vail village, price is expected, but I would not be here again. I should have given Alpenrose a try instead of this. Service was as expected.

The Restaurant at Chasing Rabbits Vail offers an elegant Mediterranean dining experience with a four-course menu featuring dishes like sea bream ceviche, sardines in sweet onion soubise, braised rabbit Bolognese, and Moroccan lamb tagine. The restaurant also boasts a selection of fine wines by the glass to complement the meal. In addition to its culinary offerings, the establishment features a cozy speakeasy-style bar with a New York City vibe and fantastic specialty cocktails.
The ambiance is amazing here. The Restaurant and The Library are so beautiful. The textures and lighting, provides a warm, comfortable atmosphere for the more formal (and expensive) menu. We were not sure the food would live up to the decor, but it surprised all of us. The appetizer portions were a bit small but the flavors abundant. We decided to share several mains. The portions, not a problem here. The rabbit bolognese was magical. ✨ We were all fighting for the last bite. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The only negative would be the cocktails. We found them a bit over engineered and switched to wine for the main course. The services cannot be forgotten. 💖 Attentive and helpful recommendations. We will be back. 📸 Click on the photos to see what we ordered. PS. I would not recommend for kids. 10yrs or above.

During our group’s visit to Chasing Rabbit in Vail, CO to play at their venue space, we embarked on a culinary journey that showcased the restaurant’s creative flair and commitment to quality. From inventive cocktails to refined appetizers and hearty entrées, each dish told a story of flavor, texture, and presentation. The evening began with a round of cocktails that set the tone for the meal. While I enjoyed a local IPA from the tap, my wife enjoyed the 'Beans to Nuts' martini, rich and indulgent treat with a frothy top and deep espresso hue. Crafted with Moulin Vodka, espresso, Nux Alpina walnut, vanilla bean balsamic, and chocolate bitters, it offered a bold, dessert-like flavor profile perfect for coffee lovers. Equally impressive our friend had the 'Summer Dragon'—a visually stunning and refreshing drink served in a martini glass with a vibrant orange hue. Rimmed with a reddish-brown seasoning and garnished with a slice of dragon fruit, it featured Reyka Vodka, Italicus, lemon, dragon fruit syrup, and rose sage bitters. Bright and citrus-forward, it was the ideal summer cocktail. To start, the 'Serrano Ham Croquetas' delivered a perfect balance of crispy and creamy textures. Golden and breaded, they were served atop a rich manchego fonduta and filled with Yukon potato and jamón serrano. Each croqueta was topped with Sturia Prestige caviar, adding a refined brininess that elevated the dish. The 'Spanish Ceviche' was a vibrant and refreshing plate featuring diced cod marinated in lemon and garlic, mixed with avocado, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, and olathe corn. Served with crisp rice crackers, it offered a satisfying contrast of textures and a bold, citrusy flavor. Another standout was the 'Crispy Pork Belly'—perfectly crisped on the outside and tender within. Garnished with pomegranate seeds, mint, coriander mostarda, lemon, and whipped labneh, it was a visually striking and flavorful small plate. But to top off the small plates was the American Wagyu Crudo – an elegantly plated dish featuring thin slices of premium American Wagyu beef, served raw in a crudo style that highlights its delicate texture and rich flavor. Garnished with enoki mushrooms, black garlic, and sorrel, a drizzle of black vinegar adds acidity and depth, while Belper Knolle cheese shavings and horseradish provide a sharp, earthy contrast, and topped with Sturia Prestige caviar, the crudo is elevated with a touch of luxury and brininess. Moving into the main courses, the 'Moroccan Chicken Tagine' brought bold North African flavors with a modern twist. Tender chicken seasoned with ras el hanout was served over saffron red lentils and accompanied by broccolini. Garnishes of dried apricot dukkah, marcona almonds, and spiced prune puree added layers of sweetness, crunch, and depth. The '2 Bone Pork Chop' was a hearty and satisfying entrée. Beautifully seared and served atop asparagus risotto, the dish was complemented by jamón-braised collard greens and finished with a Calabrian balsamic glaze. It balanced rustic comfort with refined technique, making it a highlight of the meal. Chasing Rabbit delivered a memorable dining experience through its exceptional service, thoughtful presentation, bold flavors, and inventive pairings. Whether enjoying a cocktail, savoring a small plate, or indulging in a main course, each item reflected the restaurant’s dedication to culinary excellence.

Our server, Victor, was very attentive and pleasant, and the additional support staff, particularly Nick, were on point. I encourage all visitors in the Vail area to check out the various venue rooms offered!

Really wanted to visit the speakeasy but it was closed on the days we were in town. Gorgeous space with many different areas. The Library is beautiful. And the arcade bar in the back was a very cool touch.

My husband and I first toured this place for our wedding venue back in December 2023 and I'm happy to share that we officially tied the knot on 9.20.2025! It was the absolute best time of our lives - from the intimate ambiance during the ceremony to the low lit dinner and then insane DJing & dancing, it was the best micro-wedding I could have ever asked for. This is THE place to host any event if you're looking for something extremely unique and memorable for your guests (not to mention the food is absolutely top tier).

Fantastic dining experience. Staff is the best in Vail. Food is best in Vail. Moe the manager will ensure your experience is top notch.

Fun if you are looking for a party dinner vibe. DO NOT COME HERE W ELDERS OR GRANDPARENTS. It is very difficult to hear the person across from you. Food is good. Would be great for a raucous night.

We love this place! We had our wedding here and it was amazing! Such a cool space with amazing food and great service. Tristin and Miranda were wonderful to work with and they made the whole process so amazing. This is a great place to host small/medium sized events. it is an experience everyone will love!

Swiss Chalet Restaurant is an upscale dining spot located at the Sonnenalp Hotel, offering a cozy cabin-inspired atmosphere. The restaurant has maintained its traditional Swiss fondue and raclette concept since it opened in 1986. According to Johannes Faessler, the menu hasn't changed much over the years, as these classic dishes are perfect for bringing together multigenerational families for a delightful dinner experience.
So many good things to say.. where to start? Firstly, if you park here at the valet it's free. Second, OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD HERE! The service was perfect 👌 They had a specialty fondue we got that was spectacular!!! I mean from the first bite absolutely perfect. The veggies were perfect, the bread, everything, this place deserves a Michelin star. Went here for our anniversary and couldn't have picked a better dining experience.

It was such a unique experience! Felt like I was in Europe. A little taste of Germany, Swiss and Bavaria all under one roof! Our waitress Sigi and waiter Javier were amazing! She made excellent recommendations including the garlic herb cheese fondue, French onion soup, sausage sampler and my favorite the Dark chocolate with hazelnut fondue. Everything was a delight. My wife and I came out well fed and satisfied. Will be back soon!

We had such a wonderful dinner for the 6 of us last month, when we were in town for my sister’s wedding near Vail. It was a fun group and Sigi made the experience even more positive! She gave us recommendations on everything from the drinks to start our evening to how to order the right amounts of each dish appropriately to which items were can’t-miss on the menu! Thanks Sigi and the team for ensuring we had some wonderful wedding weekend memories in Vail!

My husband and I went to Vail, CO for a couple of nights and found this beautiful restaurant. Sigi was the one who took care of us. She did an amazing job. The atmosphere was beautiful as we sat outside and watched all the people walked by. She even provided a blanket for the brisk weather as the sun went down. The food was amazing. The French Onion soup was the best I had ever had (and I have had a lot of French Onion soup). I highly recommend this place. We did not stay at the hotel so I did not score that.

Food was good, but I was most impressed with our server. He was very friendly and gave great recommendations on food and drinks. Shout out to Mark! You did an amazing job!

The restaurant is very conveniently located and the service was great. Sigi was wonderful! Very knowledgeable of the menu and her recommendations were great. Would highly recommend for dinner as a European treat in Vail.

As a family who has lived in Switzerland, we were thrilled to discover Swiss Chalet —and even more delighted when the fondue turned out to be so full of flavor and authentic! A special shoutout to our server Sigi who was an absolute delight! Warm, attentive, and full of charm, she made us feel so welcome and added an extra layer of joy to an already wonderful evening. We will be back again next time we are in Vail!

Vintage is a charming French brasserie located in Vail Village, offering a delightful menu of classic dishes alongside an extensive selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. The restaurant is renowned for its diverse brunch beverages, including spicy bloody marys and Champagne-infused cocktails.
Vintage is well-loved for weekend brunch. Many are not aware that they offer an outstanding, authentic French dinner menu. The atmosphere takes you directly to Paris and the food is creative and delicious. No doggy bag for us, only clean plates.
Michelle B — Google review
We drove into Vail to meet friends at a midway point. A quick search revealed vintage to be one of the highest rated restaurants. I made a reservation for lunch, sitting outside on a spectacular afternoon. Immediately, the staff adjusted the umbrella for the sun, ask us if we wanted heaters on the other side and began the first of many many water refills. The staff continued to be outstanding through the entire outstanding meal. We ordered from the brunch menu, one getting the chicken sandwich, another the decadent French toast, two of us getting the galettes. The feathery puff pastry pulled apart effortlessly filled with the ideal amount of creamy egg and topped with the accompanying onions, spinach, etc. They have an excellent wine and cocktail list as well. This being brunch, we contained ourselves to ice tea. Excellent!
Laura T — Google review
Great food. We love their brunch which only is available select days/hours. I wish they had a nonalcoholic drink menu because they have awesome fresh squeezed orange juice, hot chocolate, mocktails, which are all awesome but require asking. They can accommodate menu changes for example I got the eggs Benedict but swapped the bread out for toasted crescent which was amazing. Probably one of the best crescents in the US, and I am kind of a crescent snob if that’s a thing. We also love the puff pastry and avocado toast. Can’t go wrong with anything you order I am confident. Fancy or casual, up to you. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They take reservations. For the first time since coming here we learned they have complimentary parking only steps from their entrance. It’s impossible to find on your own though. You have to turn in the dead end road that goes in front of their front door, have someone ask the hostess inside to open the garage door for you, and then quickly pull forward and into the garage door on the left before it closes. It’s ONLY for the time you are dining with them so you have to move after your are done eating, which is fine as there isn’t much to explore in this area. But it’s so much better than walking 9 minutes from Vail or Lionshead public parking. And not found on their website anywhere which actually is a miss. So you heard it here first :)

#1 Perfectly cooked steak! My husband got the Vintage American breakfast with steak and he said it was perfect!!👌 I got the Bacon Huckleberry French toast and it was delicious!! This place is a vibe! The decor is so cute!!

Classic brunch spot in Vail but we were disappointed. Service was EXTREMELY slow (over an hour to receive our food after ordering) and quality was fine at best, especially considering the price and time we had to wait. The fries were good Probably wouldn’t recommend unless lines elsewhere are too long.
David L — Google review
Waited a little longer than wanted to get our second drink and bill BUT the drinks were amazing Truffle fries were Not good, they tasted like black licorice. I am not sure why, didn't have the opportunity to share with our server since we barely saw her. The baked Brie was okay, odd texture. Great patio seating!

Went in on a Saturday morning in August. Did not have a booking. Wait staff were a bit rude when talking about seating us, which seemed weird as there was probably 15 open tables inside and out. The atmosphere is beautiful and outside was a lovely day, so now we know. I recommend booking and booking outside in the summer. They were pretty quick to come around for drinks orders but slow for food. Bottomless mimosas were good value, got 4 in the 1.5 limit and the wait staff were pretty good and bringing new glasses when they saw they were empty. Food was tasty, just lacked the presentation I would have expected to make this fantastic. The Dill with It Bloody Mary comes in a smaller glass than all the others so that was a bit of shame too, but the piece of smoked salmon in it was great. We spent $110 including tip for 2 people.

Westside Cafe & Market is a popular local spot located in an across-the-highway strip mall. This cozy restaurant serves up delicious down-home cooking from breakfast to dinner, and is known for its Big-Ass Bloody Mary cocktail, which comes in almost-fishbowl-size glasses. The bar offers a variety of cocktails including the Bakon version with bacon-infused vodka and a kabob of pickled vegetables.
Our first time in Vail and a lot of restaurants haven't opened up yet. Our hotel is right across the freeway so we tried it out. Our first night here and we split a bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. Everything thing was excellent. Tots were chrispy and burger was cooked perfectly. Decided to go back Our last night in Vail, I had the beet/ arugula salad with grilled chicken and hubby had elk chili. Again, our food was excellent! Our waitress was great but we didn't get her name.

The bavarian pretzel was nothing special, something you can get in the frozen section of the groceries store. The Bison burger was cook perfectly and the French fries with them were plenty. The grilled chicken sandwich was big and juicy. The sweet potato fries were good.

I’ve had Benedict’s here before that were ok, the ramen was the worst I’ve ever had, along with their short rib Mac and cheese. This place has lots of options but the flavor is severely lacking in almost every meal I’ve had. So this time I got the soup and sandwich, the French onion soup was delishhh (one of the best I’ve ever had actually) but the Ruben also the worst I’ve ever had. For the price maybe put a little more effort. The service has also never been good, coming from a server.

Awesome experience. The food was delicious, the place had lots of windows, so you could see the amazing show falling and a beautiful architecture while having a meal. Went the with wife and two daughters (3 and 13), we all love it. Service was fast and helpful. The food was not only really good, but it also looked fantastic.

Located in the heart of Lionshead, T^2 is welcoming and wants you walk in and get some grub! The only restaurant we went to more than once during our stay. They had a great list of food and drinks for some good food nearby. Ate some chicken and waffles for the protein, but really liked the bison burger more.

Tavern on the Square is a 5-star gem! We visited twice in one day, first for breakfast and again for cocktails. The breakfast spread was incredible, with an amazing omelet station and an impressive pastry selection. Later, Neil crafted an incredible espresso martini that was the perfect pick-me-up. But what truly made our experience special was the exceptional service from Jay and Neil - they were warm, attentive, and made us feel like locals. If you're in Vail, do yourself a favor and stop by Tavern on the Square. Be sure to say hi to Jay and Neil, they'll make your day!

We dined here while staying at the Arrabelle Hotel during our recent Vail visit. This restaurant is attached to the hotel and its outdoor seating has beautiful views of the slopes. Service was lacking big time. Food came very late and it was very difficult to get our server's attention. Waters were seldom refilled. In one word- Service was disappointing ! Coming to the food : We got Chicken Wings which were very different but not in a good way. I would rate them 7/10. Assorted dumplings did not have any dumplings. It had bunch of shallow fried shrimps, gyoza and chicken sate kind of appetizer . Very misleading menu item. Ordered quesadilla for my kid and it was not good. My wife ordered a Mezcal drink which was watered down a lot. The only saving grace were the desserts which I must say were truly mind blowing. The Toasted Pineapple Gelato was one of the best I've ever had ! (a big reason I am upgrading my review to 3 stars from 2 stars) and the chocolate bomb was amazing too. Overall - We will NOT return to dine in here but we will be back for desserts for sure if we are in the area !

There was a long hair in my food and the server did not care. We had to ask for a manager when we were charged for the food and when she came over she said she was never informed about the problem. She then asked if everything else was good and to have a good night. She did not care at all or offer us anything. She said sorry but it didn’t seem genuine. We will definitely not be back. Very poor customer service.

Short rib poutine only had two small pieces of meat. Service was bad. They brought the soup without a spoon. It took them forever to bring the spoon. They brought the drink after all the dishes came out.

The hours were wrong when we went. They stayed open a lot longer than what was posted online. The staff was friendly. We ate outside, which was nice. The indoor dining was not available, which was fine. The view is nice, the staff is nice. My son was not a fan of the burger. The grilled cheese was good. The Cobb salad was fine. Would not recommend the nachos. They do have a few gluten-free options, although a Cobb Salad was the best dinner choice for that. I noticed a lot of vegetarian options. They have a nice drink list, but none of us drank anything that night. They did refill water quickly, which was nice. Great staff.

We enjoyed a late lunch after attending the Vail Farmers Market. Choosing Tavern was a spur of the moment decision but one we didn't regret. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a great view of the base of the mountain. The service was prompt, courteous, and very helpful in assisting us with our menu selections. The food was excellent including it's presentation. We would return in a heartbeat.

Up the Creek is a charming restaurant located by the serene Gore Creek in Vail. The warm and inviting dining room offers a farm-fresh American menu, featuring seasonal mountain-town favorites like pan-roasted trout, braised short rib, and bison tenderloin. The restaurant also boasts Vail's only creekside patio, where guests can savor their meals while enjoying the picturesque setting. For Thanksgiving, Up the Creek offers a special three-course dinner at an attractive price.
Made a 12:30 pm reservation so I could ski in the morning then walk over for lunch. I recommend this place. I’ve been coming here for at least 15 years and it’s always delicious. Started with the truffle fries which came out quick, which was nice. I was hungry from skiing. The arugula and pear salad good. The short ribs are good but I usually get the trout. Just order dessert. They are all good. I ate the dessert before I took a picture. During the summer this place is great as well. Sit outside along the creek for a nice lunch or dinner.

The service was fabulous, Francisco was super friendly and attentive at all times... the food was great... we loved the carpaccio... the only thing is that they bring out the main menu at 4pm... very late after lunch time. But they still managed to bring us 1 main dish.

Considering the prices, Im very disappointed. First thing was that the host wasn't very friendly. Next, our food took about 45 minutes to come out and there was no apology or attempt to make it right. The worst part was that the food was so mediocre. To pay as much as we did, and wait as long as we did, for a sandwich that had basic deli meat and cheap bread was so upsetting. The fries were so basic, like fast food mcdonalds type of fries. Also, my 4-year old's kids meal was $25. Which wouldn't be a problem if the food and service reflected the prices properly, but it didn't. The only nice thing about the place was the atmosphere.
Kristy S — Google review
Good food but the menu doesn’t change much. For the price I might expect a little more inspiration on the menu. But the service was good and location was great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
TravelR — Google review
Up the creek but definitely not without a paddle. The seared duck was paired amazingly with the sweet potato and fig sauce. The asparagus was tender and flavorful. While the broccolini was somewhat lacking the bone in pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes were superb. The real star of the show was the bacon jam that was paired with the chop. The drinks could be improved, only one beer on tap and a limited selection of wine by the glass. The manager was attentive but the servers could stand to have their attire reviewed. At $50+ per plate I dont want to see my servers boxers. Overall very happy with our experience. We will definitely be back to try more.

We loved this place because it was quiet and calm, compare to other restaurants in Saturday afternoon. The tartar was good, the gyro was good, we also shared the brownie which was awesome. I would rate my martini as 3/5, but I probably misheard what kind of vodka they use, I would ask for alternative.

We love going to Up the Creek! Been here several times and every time the service and food is outstanding. I love that it’s a laid back vibe with a classy menu. Right next to the creek it’s always peaceful. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Here’s our favorite dishes (honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!): scallops and prawns, mac & cheese, pork chop, elk, non fried calamari and the whipped butter with the dinner bread is so good! Not only do we love eating here for everyday occasions, we also hosted our wedding welcome party at Up the Creek. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and awesome service. Mike and team were so great to work with and they created a killer custom menu for our event 💯

I will be honest! I read some review and they complain about several stuffs: A) Prices: yes could be kind of high but it’s Vail and just located in the mainstream area! So will be expensive. How ever the food it’s absolutely incredible. But the services really bad and of course if you are paying top dollars you expect better services! B) Quality of food: here I will be honest we come to Vail quite often and find decent food it’s hard and this restaurant it’s really good food! The downside it’s kind of pricey C) Services: Well here most of the comments are correct HORRIBLE SERVICE! and even we are in Vail the are more options where to spending tops dollars. I will be more specific. We came and they seat us at the corner, the first waitress was absolutely HORRIBLE! Sassy actitud and she was such in a hurry that we even understood anything she said, just drop the waters and left there! Them I stand up and asked one of the worker on the pizza stand and they told me ask the owner “She” complete ignore me once I approached to her and she keep walking, them I asked the hosted for another server, she only looked at me and literally walked away. After that and a long wait the for waitress came to us and I was very polite and told her I rather have another server and she didn’t even let me finish and walked away, and she told JOSE come to us and serve us. Well at the begging Jose was kind of cold I guess he thought we are just complaining but then he really saved the day improving his behave and we get a good service. In one stage of our meal I was trying to look up for help and I am guessing the Owner “He” the husband approached me and help me; they the owner look like they are a little older and I will guess over or around 70 years old so maybe that it’s the reason they has not that much patience or willingness to deal with a table issues Of course when you are paying high dollars you don’t supposed to goes through this But let’s focus on positive points: - food incredible good - they are fast for real really fast to delivery food maybe extremely slow to take care of the order but once they took it you can expect fast services - the ambiance really nice - they do have amazing patio - their food selections pretty good In general I will recommend this place and I will give another chance because they have such an incredible potential! Maybe they need a manager and not be run by owners (sometime that it’s better ) and for sure focus on re-training the staff multiple times because they really need it We asked if they split the tips ? Jose told us yes ! So I leave 20% on tips and another $20 cash to Jose ( he really deserve it ) and we will ask for Jose next time

We absolutely loved this restaurant! I’ll be honest, none of the food we’ve had in Vail has been outstanding and this restaurant redeemed Vail food for me. I read the reviews about the service and that was not the case with us. We were greeted by the host and she was really nice and welcoming. We were served by Dexter and he was talkative, polite, and patient. He gave great recommendations and checked on us often. We ordered the bruschetta and it was SO GOOD. The tomatoes were actually seasoned with salt and pepper and a bit spicy which I loved. It was all so fresh and the bread was crispy but soft. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Shrimp scampi and it seriously fresh and delicious. It came with several huge shrimp I couldn’t even eat all of them. Portions were great, prices were fair given it’s in the village. We paid way more in Breck for sub par food. This is worth it!! Get there early and grab a table on the patio!!
Jenslyfe — Google review
Not sure why this place is rated a 3.8, it was fantastic. We ordered the vodka cream sauce pasta with homemade sausage and a Caesar salad. Both were very good, absolutely loved the pasta. Our service was fantastic and you can’t beat sitting outside on the patio.
Raechell F — Google review
So, the Gluten Free pasta was incredible. Like seriously so good I was worried I was going to get sick good. However, the portion size was… Disappointing… I’m not a very big person, but was still starving after I finished the meal. Which, for the price is not something I’d have expected. Food really was delicious. Maybe it’s because we got it to go. But, my serving size was almost half that of the gluten meal the other person in my party got. So it’s more likely that on top of the GF tax I also got skimped on portions. Which, for the price is something I’m going to comment on. Also, if the menu online could be more accurate on what can and cannot be made Gluten Free that would be really helpful. I had to call and still wasn’t entirely sure what I could get.
Dreya C — Google review
Amazing vibe , the food was astonishing ordered Cesar salad with grilled chicken and appetizers it was the best food I ever had so far

Though there were many seats available on the patio, the hostess refused to seat us out there. Shortly after we were seated inside, several more people were seated outside without reservations. After a couple left the patio, we asked to be moved. They said they would see about it and that was that. We were not moved. The server was professional and more friendly than the hostess but still not working hard for any tips. My guess is because they add a 20% tip on the bill automatically... The food was a letdown. It was edible but I'd not go out of my way to have it with so many other great options around. Overall, very middle of the road.

Moe's Original BBQ in Vail, located in Lionshead, is a laid-back restaurant and bar known for its Alabama-style pulled pork, smoked meats, and Southern sides. The 1,500 sq ft retrofitted space exudes a cool local dive vibe. This family-friendly spot offers award-winning Bama-style pulled pork, ribs, turkey, chicken, catfish, and shrimp along with tasty desserts and a selection of whisky & brews.
The best lunch we had in Vail! It's an Alabama style BBQ place and honestly the best wings I think I've ever had. It had really good flavor. The Mac and cheese was solid and the cornbread was exceptional. The ribs were really good as well. The coleslaw was okay, but everything else was fantastic. Worth a stop in during your trip for lunch.

I actually did not have a chance to eat here. The food that was purchased was for a office visit I was attending. My only concern is that on the menu for the triple wide it's referencing that it will feed the five to six people I would strongly disagree with this and maybe put three to four. I had 15 people in attendance and ran out of food well before 11. Otherwise, the location is very accessible and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend based on that

The food was fantastic. I can’t fault it. The staff were a little strange. Very laid back. We sat at the bar, and the girl serving us was in her own world. I’d have given this place five stars if their table system had been a bit more organised. Currently, it’s a free for all, which isn’t clear when you first walk in. We waited at the door only for people to walk up and take the free seats. We thought we needed to wait to be seated. Turns out you don’t and all the tables had gone by this point. The staff just walked by us without even making eye contact. Then we had to listen to the girl at the bar complain to anyone who’d listen about her job.

Good BBQ, made the right way. Everything was great from here. My favorites were the pulled pork, smoked wings, and the marinated slaw. Having spent a chunk of my life in the Carolinas I am usually pretty picky about real BBQ. Moes makes the cut. Seasoned and cooked very well. The portion size to cost can’t be beat in Vail. Can’t wait to go back to Vail to return to Moe’s. 5/5 for sure.

Food smells great...looks good as you're walking by. My recommendation...capture that picture and keep moving. The food was just ok; my problem is the workers and locals hanging out. The girl at the register made the guy in front of us a cosmopolitan and never once washed her hands. She was handling money/credit cards and squeezed a lime into the man's glass. He may not have had a problem with it but it goes against every level of cleanliness there is. The locals were obnoxious and spent a lot of time playing with the team members. Disappointed for Vail...Food wise - greens were good. Cornbread was cold and tasted old as did the supposed Banana Pudding. Shame...

Incredibly delicious BBQ, awesome friendly staff, most if not all had Alabama connections. Unfortunately we only got to experience Moe's our last two nights in Vail, with all the outrageously overpriced and overrated restaurants that Vail is known for, Moe's is truly the hidden gem. I've eaten BBQ all over the South, this was among the best. The beans were a standout, truly delicious. All this food and a beer for $20, can't be matched!

The bbq sauce on the ribs is so good! You can pour as much as you like. Banana pudding was yummy! Corn bread a bit dry could with some sauce but other than that worth going to check out!

Lancelot Restaurant, located in the heart of Vail Village, has been a staple since 1969. This elegant steak and seafood eatery is renowned for its prime rib, including the famous 12-ounce King Arthur's Cut. In addition to their exceptional steaks, Lancelot also offers delectable seafood dishes such as Alaskan king crab legs and mustard-glazed Scottish salmon fillet.
Absolute wonderful experience 10/10 MAKE A RESERVATION Came here for dinner while visiting Vail and was told by many people to have at least dinner here. This place didn't disappoint. Drinks were perfect and actually tasted like alcohol unlike most other restaurants. Steak here is amazing. Super soft and fresh bread served at the table. Had a wonderful experience here and made our Vail trip complete. Thank you for the outstanding service

The food is out of this world! The experience is 5 stars!! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant I noticed the amazing atmosphere and the very friendly staff. The service from start to finish was amazing. The owner is so kind hearted and friendly. I would recommend this place a million times to everyone if I could. I can’t wait to dine here again. Thank you to everyone for an amazing experience.

Our family has been going to Vail for over 20 years, all the times we walked by this restaurant and did not go because no one recommended it. On our most recent visit we decided to give it a try. Bottom line, we have been missing out an outstanding restaurant in Vail. In fact, this is our new favorite restaurant. The hostess gave us a warm welcome and we were promptly seated. Our server was a seasoned gentlemen that was a professional and made our experience wonderful. We started with Escargot and a Spinach salad. Both were great. For entrees we all got prime rib that was outstanding!! In many prime rib restaurants by the time the steak reaches your table it is just warm and halfway through eating it's cold. This was not the case at Lancelot, the Prime Rib was steaming hot and with a warm plate it stayed hot through the last bite. A perfectly cooked baked potato rounded out the plate. The dining room is a cozy place with numerous windows. We enjoyed every minute of our time at Lancelot and look forward to returning soon.
Alston K — Google review
A few things to keep in mind. Reservations are a must. The ambiance is old school charm. Food is nothing revolutionary but you will leave full and satisfied. Although one of the few places in Vail you will find fried cauliflower, which was delicious. A negative was that we stood around at the host stand for about 10 min before anyone ever came to see us. Staffing is always tough in report towns, so we didn’t let it bother us but it was definitely bothering some other patrons. Overall, Lancelot delivers as a solid option for dinner in Vail. 📸 click on photos to see what we ordered

Wow! What can I say? This place is fantastic. I sat at the bar. I ordered prime rib, medium rare of course, I’m not a monster. It came with the baked potato, which was the perfect size and it had all the necessary fixings with the baked potato. I cannot recommend this place enough. The prime rib was one of the best I’ve ever had and I cannot wait to come back to get another one. Run don’t walk to get here. Also got the apple strudel. Holy cow. Don’t leave without getting this.
Jon R — Google review
Truly the best prime rib. Great seasoning and crust on the exterior, wonderful adjus and creamy horseradish. Well seasoned filet. Great service. Near the creek. Parking in the public ramp only a 5 minute walk. Takes reservations.
TravelR — Google review
Overall great food and service. We started with some calamari. They were tasty and a fair portion for the price, I just wish they'd arrived a tad sooner. The tomato soup was good, but the clam chowder was absolutely delicious. The prime rib was very nice and a good portion for $47. The salmon was nice and tender; I just wish the sides had been more interesting than just a bunch of green beans and asparagus. As for desserts, the apple strudel was substantial and delicious, the crème brûlée was good but a bit small, and the brownie was a bit dry. Lastly, I tried the their twisted almonds old fashioned, which was pretty good, just a smidge too sweet. The service was very attentive. Overall, we spent $270.22 for three people after tax before tip. It seems that if you order what they specialize in, you'll have an amazing experience.

Excellent service. Prime rib and the escargot are unparalleled. Consider earlier reservations. They can run out of prime rib if you arrive later in the evening. Lancelots is a must on any trip to Vail.

Ludwig's Breakfast is an elegant and upscale restaurant located at the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail. Overlooking Gore Creek from its glass-enclosed terrace, Ludwig's offers a full menu of European delicacies for breakfast. The restaurant is known for its sumptuous breakfast buffet featuring a wide variety of options such as eggs cooked to order, sausages, French toast, waffles, empanadas, and chilaquiles.
Came here for brunch and was so impressed with the selection, quality of the items, and the notation of numerous gluten free options. Our server Mary was exceptional! She helped answer my many questions about the ingredients due to my dietary restrictions and was so friendly! The views of the greenhouse overlooking the pool and gorgeous snow made everything complete. Thank you for an amazing brunch experience!

Wonderful Mother's Day brunch in an elegant yet rustic environment. Over overlooking the pool with dining in the sunroom. Food was abundant and high-quality. Not over salted or over done. A true traditional European culinary style. Waiters and waitresses dressed elegantly in Bavarian attire. Lots of space to spread out while you're waiting for a table. Charming bar.
Angelique S — Google review
Everything tasted fresh, like it was good quality, and it was well prepared...but I don't know that Eggs Benedict is really worth $40. I did not try the buffet (because I was not that hungry), but it looked like a nice setup. If I was with a group I would come early, enjoy a leisurely breakfast/brunch, and splurge on the (kind of) pricey buffet! Oh - 3 stars for atmosphere because it looked a little dated (for people that care about that thing - although I don't).

Our table of five enjoyed a delicious breakfast at this establishment. The fancy avocado toast, acai w/ peanut butter smoothie bowl, chorizo burrito, Belgian waffle, and 3 egg omelette were all hits. I.e., everyone was very happy with their meals. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the brunch buffet with family this past weekend. It was absolutely delicious. It is in competition with the buffet at Broadmoor in CO Springs. They had soooo many options and the food was fresh and felt healthy??? This is not country buffet. Not sure of price because my grandparents paid, but I think whatever it was it was worth it.

Half the fun was just getting here. A ride up the Lionshead Gondola after dark, looking down on the lights of Vail was wonderful, followed by a short ride in the back of an enclosed, heated Snow Cat to the restaurant. I wasn't quite sure what to expect in such an out-of-the-way place, but found the food outstanding without exception. I would highly recommend this place!

What a magical birthday! The view from the restaurant and gondola is breathtaking. We sat at a table by the window so we got to enjoy the view our entire meal. Every course was absolutely delicious. My husband and I especially liked the corn ravioli appetizer and the peach mousse dessert. Our waiter, Matt, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the food and brought me a special virgin cocktail since I am pregnant.

Great place, we has so much fun! We ordered beers, buffalo wings and some french fries (delicious and the right amount of crispiness). Our server was really great, fast and patience since we were a big party and the place is loud.

Visited here with my family for bowling. Surprisingly not many other bowling options in the Vail / Avon area that we could find and my kids LOVE bowling. It was fun! Felt sort of strange going into such a high-end feeling restaurant to go to the back to bowl with my toddlers. Only reason its not 5 stars is the price. Is there no lower price for kids? It was crazy expensive for a family of 4 for bowling but it was a fun and unique experience.

We stopped for dinner and cocktails on a Saturday evening. The place was decorated well, with very Deco modern interior. Sleek lighting and contemporary booths. The acoustics made it a bit challenging with all hard surfaces and little sound absorption. The service was great, with delightful descriptions of cocktails, wine and food. The food was a bit of a let down, following such in depth descriptions of it from our server. The lamb chops were seasoned well and cooked perfectly, but could have benefited from better cleaning and removal of excess fat. The sweet and spicy chicken sandwich was over cooked, but flavorful. The Elote was delicious. Overall, it was a standard to above par experience. The food and cocktails were slightly high priced, but to be expected in Vail.
Vincent C — Google review
The staff here were incredibly unprofessional, especially our server. From the moment we sat down, she had an attitude and didn’t speak to us with basic courtesy. We ordered a drink that tasted like water, and when we politely mentioned it, her response was, “I’m sure it doesn’t taste like water, but okay whatever.” Seriously? That’s how you respond to a customer? To top it off, she brought us the check without asking if we wanted dessert or even if we were ready to leave. The whole experience felt rushed, careless, and disrespectful. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects decent service.
BoSami — Google review
We wanted to do dinner and bowling but ended up only doing dinner because we didn’t have a reservation which obviously was on us and not them. The restaurant was nice and the service was really good but I was a bit disappointed in the food. I initially ordered the sliders but had to ask them to take it back because it wasn’t as flavorful as I expected. As a replacement I got the ribs which were amazing even though I could’ve done without the peanuts. Most of the dishes we ordered were just ok, nothing amazing, but overall a good experience!
Tash M — Google review
We came as a girls night, the food is a little pricey and is not a lot more like appetizer size, the service was ok took a little long but overall not super dissatisfied, they could for sure do a little better with how they charge but it’s Vail so what can we expect! I will say the short ribs sliders was missing some seasoning or salt, the meat didn’t taste like anything at all.
Dianelis S — Google review
I've always had good food, drinks and service here. Been about 20-25 times over the past several years. Had the pleasure to talking with one of the managers for a while when business was slow, really cool guy. The bartender and other employees said what a nice guy he is. It makes a huge difference when the people that work there actually like the management and their job. Restaurants can be hit or miss sometimes around here but deca bol seems to always provide good service and atmosphere. Also thank you for building an actua real bar, most restaurants around only have a few seats for the bar. This place has a huge bar with tons of seating so if you are OK with sitting at the bar there's almost always a space which makes it an easy go to spot.

El Sabor is a laid-back restaurant and tequila bar located at the base of Lionshead in the Lionshead Square Lodge, offering a mix of Latin American and American cuisine. Its prime location allows skiers to easily access it after their final run, where they can unwind with a drink while taking in views of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain.
The view from the outdoor balcony is probably the best of any restaurant. The server was extremely nice and came to the table many times. The Margaritas were very good. The salsa had a kick to it and was very good. The steak fajitas were on the pricy side for the portion size, but very good and well worth it in my opinion. Will be the first restaurant we go to when we come back to Vail. Highly recommend.
Chris H — Google review
Visited on a Thursday evening with a group of 4 - not very crowded. Great views and service was very good. Ordered Sabor Chicken Tacos, Mahi Mahi Tacos, Rib Eye, and Chicken Fajitas + chips and salsa. All food was decently priced and decent quality. Enjoyed the Jalapeno Cilantro Marg, Tequila Mule, Paloma, and Coconut Marg. All drinks were tasty.
Jamie O — Google review
Top notch. I would rate Food and drinks at 9.4/10. Had a drink that was quite similar to pina colada. However, the server didnt let my sister who is 28 consume alcohol. "The age required to consume alcohol in Colorado acc to new law is 32 years and above" thats what we were told. "If you want me to scan and verify it, My phone is charging and its gonna take me 20 minutes." We have never had this kind of experience anywhere else. And we were there to have a good time. This was not a great experience and we didnt want to create a scene there. If the food is good, its good.. if the ambience is great, its great. It is what it is. Kudos to the Chef, bartenders and all the teams. The best thing I will remember is the drink. It was perfect to my liking 👍🏼👌👌. Plus the churros with chocolate drizzle at the end. Might come back for that.

We enjoyed happy hour at El Sabor. The Margheritas were very good and the view was spectacular! But we had the Nachos de Sabor (loaded Nachos) and they were EXTREMELY salty! I would suggest you ask them to go light on the salt if you order.

Lovely Mexican restaurant at the base of Vail. Good views of mountain. Tasty margaritas. Directly across from Eagle Bahn lift so nice place for a hot drink before your next run. The queso was great. The mezcal Manhattan was superb.

We stayed at Lionshead, so we naturally had to try El Sabor, which is in the same building. I definitely recommend the patio in the summer- fantastic view overlooking the ski lift and Gore Creek. As far as the food- I ordered the Agave chicken sandwich. It is supposed to have a spicy habanero slaw. It came drenched in sticky Agave, and very little noticeable heat. The chicken was good and had good breading. I’d probably recommend toning down the agave and adding a few extras to make the sandwich really pop. The fries were good- waffle style, and well seasoned. Came with a very small portion, could’ve used some more. As far as the service- we had a new waitress- it was her first day, so don’t want to give her a hard time, as she got a few things backwards. Overall, not bad, worth a look - we’d come back and try other items on the menu.
Robert F — Google review
Nice atmosphere, but the pros stop there. Waited for an hour for our food, despite ordering at the same time as the rest of our group. Found a shard of plastic in the aioli with the shishitos, and the server and manager both seemed unconcerned.
Jeremy C — Google review
I love the location and the food has always been fine. The price increases and smaller servings have made this less of a good deal. $16 for guacamole seems really high. And the $8 shrimp taco was one tiny corn tortilla, 1 fried shrimp, 1/2 inch squirt of some green sauce. It did not have avocado as promised.

Awesome seafood menu! Oysters flown in from West Coast. So no blue Points! Lol. Outstanding salmon, Seabass, king, crab legs! Come hungry. It's worth it! Great location, patio seating or alfresco by the window. Really nice!

You would think at this price point that the staff would be knowledgeable about food allergies and accommodations but as I found out last night, that’s not the case. I have celiac disease and informed our waiter before ordering. His responses and cavalier attitude should’ve been the first red flag. Unfortunately I believed what he said and ordered an entree and desert. I have been awake on and off all night being violently ill. The meal was 100% not gluten free as he claimed. I should mention that I’m typically pretty asymptomatic if it’s a smaller amount of gluten - I have never been this sick from eating at a restaurant. If you have celiac or a gluten intolerance, stay far away from this place!! Don’t let them ruin your vacation too!
Amy W — Google review
Restaurant itself was beautiful and upscale, had kids menus and coloring pages. Service was a little slow but otherwise great. The crab cakes appetizer was delicious. The kids crab legs were delicious, however it ended up being $85 for a kids meal, which is absolutely outrageous! The tuna was pretty bland, and the dessert was clearly just a frozen pre made piece of ice cream cake. The food was no where worth the money. Would not recommend.

Highly recommend, provided you are willing to spend $70-100 per person. Best food and service I had in Vail. We ordered the crab cakes, Ahi Tuna, and Bbq Scottish Salmon, along with the Barrel-Aged "Monhattan" and Cindy Lou Who II cocktails, for about $215 after tax and tip. Service was attentive without being bothersome. I would recommend setting an earlier reservation time and getting to the restaurant a couple minutes before. Ours was set for 6:30pm and there weren't many people seated at that point. It got busier and louder as time went on, and by the time we left the main dining area looked pretty full. This was easily the best food I have had in a long time, and will very likely be going back. I didn't get much information on dietary accommodations, there seems to be a link online about that but I would consider calling the restaurant or asking a server when you arrive to be sure about the details if that is a potential roadblock for you.

Fall Line Kitchen & Cocktails in Vail has incredible food—everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared. However, the service left much to be desired. It felt inattentive and didn’t match the high standard of the food. What really threw me off was the tipping setup on their electronic machine. The default options start at 25% or higher, with no easy way to select a lower percentage unless you manually navigate through extra steps. It felt pushy and unnecessary. Amazing food, but the service and the tipping situation really dampened the experience.
Jen — Google review
The two reviews talking about “racist” and unable to get a seat with 6 people as a walk in have clearly never heard of a “reservation”. This is a small restaurant that almost never has room for walk ins. I’ve had to wait several times for a table as I don’t normally do reservations either. I frequent this restaurant and have loved it every time. The service is great and matches the vibe and pricing. I do think the tip machine starting with 25% as the suggestion for tipping is ridiculous, but you can always bypass it and do a custom tip. I’ll be back again soon! Cheers.

A wonder-filled time at Fall Line! We skied right into a dream of a dinner—starting with a round of fancy cocktails that deserve their own chairlift to fame. I floated away on the “Gone on a Purple Cloud,” while my crew got casually profound with a Colorado cream espresso martini and an old-fashioned that gave Buffalo Trace its best showing yet. The dry-aged Porch Chop (yes, you read that right—it’s what pork would be if it got its PhD) was pure savory perfection. We also cozied up with the beet salad (earthy and elegant), lasagna (layers of love), and crispy Brussels sprouts (bravo, brassica!). A final shot of espresso sent us off into the night with warm hearts and full bellies. Shoutout to our waitress Devon—a total gem who made our night pleasant. The historic ski photography gave us all the vintage Vail feels, and the busy corner view of Vail Village made the vibe feel just right—part postcard, part après-ski party. Five stars from this snow-loving soul!

Wow! What a great spot with very impressive menu. The wedge salad is state of the art! With quail eggs, thick cuts of bacon (more like fried pork belly) and loads of delicious blue cheese. Very savory and refreshing. It’s so big and filling, that we didn’t even come around to order an entree. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

The restaurant in Vail Village, Colorado, had an incredible atmosphere, just like the village itself. I tried amazing oysters for the first time and a deliciously fresh veggie bruschetta. The waiter gave us great tips on how to enjoy the oysters, which we totally loved. I would definitely visit the village and the restaurant again 😁

We stopped for lunch craving some onion soup (online menu not updated). The only soup available was tomato bisque - fresh and delicious. Very small portion though. We ordered fries x2. The other portion was over fried - almost burnt. Overall the fries with truffles were very good, not greasy at all. I ordered burrata salad - loved pesto sauce underneath - I’d rather have burrata in a room temperature than cold straight from the fridge (that’s how you cannot taste the creaminess). We also had a burger - didn’t take a pic. Pretty high quality of food, a bit pricey I’d say. A tiny bowl of soup+fries+1beer - $44. Salad was $28.

Food was amazing, patio was great with a view of gore creek. I do recommend an update to the music (oldies). Would be a much better experience with updated music

The food is what you are paying for, don’t expect more. Fries are inconsistently cooked and flavored. Servers were good, but food came out at different times. Several people in our party were finished before others received their food. The last person in our party received their food 1.5 hours after arriving at the restaurant, despite ordering within 20 minutes of arrival. Numerous orders were mixed up and missing components. If you are going to spend 25-30 dollars on an entre, may as well go to Cheesecake Factory.

The food was superb, and the service is kind. I do have to say that their water is some of the most refreshing I’ve ever had (unsure of what or where it comes from lol). Unfortunately, I do live out of state. However anytime I visit Vail, CO this is an absolute stop to grab a bite for me.

We stopped by the Fitz Bar + Bites after the concert at the amphitheater. They (Vail) were also hosting the Jazz Festival so they had an exceptional jazz improv going on. We snacked on cheese bites and other munchies while enjoyed the outstanding music. What a phenomenal weekend of talent, music and food.

I recommend coming to the town of Vali, Colorado. I had a wonderful experience. It's absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the delicious sandwiches from Deli & Market, their coffee, and their products. I hope to return again to this beautiful adventure. Thank you for the breakfast. I enjoyed it.

We have made several trips to Vail Village and have come to this restaurant each time. The food is decent. Just be prepared for a side of surliness (or more likely, nearly complete indifference to your presence). If this place were in Houston, Chicago, LA, or any other city where it would face significant competition, my bet is that it would go out of business.

The best kept secret in Vail! One of the only 2 true craft cocktail bars in the area, with an inviting and beautiful newly renovated bar.. What used to be Frost, inside the Sebastian hotel, is now a completely new experience at The Gambit! Sat at the bar and had an absolutely amazing time with live music and new cocktails, with the bartenders that were exciting to watch creating every drink and totally crushing it! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Vail. 🙌🏻

Great atmosphere super friendly employees they really try to give great customer service but the drinks are expensive beyond any reasonable price expectation. Vail resorts in general really think if you are not a millionaire we don’t want you in our business. The pool bar at The Sebastian hotel for pre mixed drinks with absolutely no-verity to choose from are so crazy priced it will blow your mind totally not worth it. A Coke was 10 dollars if I’m not mistaken really it’s just way overpriced . If you have to ask how much you probably don’t want to go there.

We came to the Gambit Bar before our dinner reservation nearby. We have been coming to Vail for 20 years and are always looking for a place like this. It’s a really nice bar and lounge with small tables and bar seating. Spencer and Shelby took incredible care of us and the cocktails and food were tasty and excellently presented. There is live music from 4:30-10 which fills the room up so nicely. Best martini in Vail. This place is a must.

My guy and I enjoyed a fabulous several hours at Gambit at The Sebastian in Vail. The bar was crowded and full of people having a great time, and the bartenders Spencer and Jake took care of everyone with speed, humor, and professionalism while never missing a beat. Vail Blue Moose Pizza is a casual joint in Lionshead Village that specializes in hand-tossed NY-style pizza, along with sandwiches and salads. It's a popular spot for families, offering great value for kids and cheap beer for adults. The $5 lunch deal at Blue Moose Pizza includes a one-topping slice of pizza and a soda, making it an affordable and satisfying option for visitors exploring the area.
Great pizzas and good service! By far the best place to grab pizza in Vail, so many tasty options. We showed up right when they opened for lunch so it wasn’t too crowded yet. Our server was great and recommended some really good pizzas!
Matt P — Google review
The food is very great here. Customer service is very awful. The waiter placed my wings on the table with no plates no napkins no wipes as you can see on the photo just the chicken. The pizza was very tasteful. The waiter did not provide great customer service no refills on drinks. We had to ask a different waiter for a refill so I kept my $50 tip.
Netisha U — Google review
First place we ate at when we got to Vail while waiting to check into our hotel (the Arrabelle). Location was very convenient. Went for lunch, service was great, our waitress was awesome. Pizza was pretty good but toppings seemed a little skimpy. Artichoke dip was not too bad but would have preferred a soft bread or chips to dip into it. But still good!
Amber M — Google review
Decent pizza, but left a lot to be desired. Ordered late takeout (right before closing, so that might have had an impact on the pizza) and thought the pizza was salty and very oily. Between two people, we only ate half the pie because we just couldn’t deal with the salt and the oil. Would try again maybe in-person but was disappointed after being recommended by others.
Andy L — Google review
Very good pizza with a variety of flavors… crust was awesome, wasn’t overloaded with toppings so the crust stayed nice and crisp. Would definitely recommend!
Erica H — Google review
We waited over 40 minutes and still didn't receive our pizza. The kids' food was overcooked and dry. The restaurant wasn't full, but the waiters complained it was too crowded. A slice of pizza we didn't order was added to our bill, but luckily we noticed and cancelled. We left hungry and disheartened.
Olga K — Google review
I've been familiar with Vail ever since I was a kid. Blue moose is always a stop whenever we visit. However, I can't speak highly of it anymore. The prices are now astronomical. So, I am sorry, but with high prices comes high expectations. I received a pizza that was as thin as a cracker, skimpy on toppings, burnt, and a huge crust to pizza ratio.

Get the mozzarella sticks, a local beer or two and the Hawaiian and margarita pizza! The pizza here is delicious and even the crust is yummy! The hot chocolate is good too! Pepi's Bar & Restaurant is a renowned Austrian eatery in Vail, known for its wild game dishes and lively entertainment. The restaurant boasts a rich history, adorned with signed photos of famous visitors like Buzz Aldrin, Gerald Ford, and Lindsey Vonn. The establishment was opened in 1964 by Bill Whiteford as the largest disco in North America, drawing top entertainers like Dizzie Gillespie and Irish Rovers.
I've eaten here several times and I've always had good service and great food. I only visit in the summer so I can't speak to "busy season". I've included a few pics from my summer lunches outside on the patio. I usually order the trout at lunch. I wish I had taken a photo of my "bar food" dinner because it was delicious. I had a brat which comes on a toasted roll with sides of German potato salad and sauerkraut. If you're looking to save a little money on dinner in Vail, the bar menu selection is small but very reasonably priced.
Stephanie S — Google review
I went here for lunch. My order consisted of pepi's house salad and a cup of Hungarian goulash soup. Both dishes were yummy. Please keep in mind, the balsamic dressing on the house salad is very sour! That's not a bad thing, but may not be for everyone. The mandarin oranges, avocado, and candied walnuts made it bearable by giving it slight sweetness. The Hungarian goulash soup was nice and tasty; however, the cup portion is very small - much smaller than most places. Of course, each dish was more on the expensive side. The cup of soup alone was $13. This place is in Vail, CO so the cost wasn't much of a surprise - very on par with every other dining establishment in the area. The food came out very quick and all the servers at the restaurant were attentive - they constantly refilled my water, which is super nice because I go through water cups very quickly and it was a hot day! I like the ambiance and location of the restaurant. Nice place to people watch while listening to the background noise of Vail Village and enjoying some good food.

We enjoyed a big family dinner at Pepi’s. The service was good, and our food arrived promptly—hot, well-presented, and tasty. The menu offers a nice variety, including some European specialties. I had the , which I enjoyed, and also tasted the Wiener and Jäger Schnitzels. While the food was enjoyable, it was not cheap at all. All in all, we had a lovely evening and a good dining experience.

We had such a fun time at Pepi’s Bar in Vail for happy hour! The atmosphere on the patio is lively and has that classic alpine charm—it’s the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy the village vibe. The margarita was crisp and refreshing with just the right amount of lime and salt on the rim, while the draft beer was ice cold and served with a fresh orange slice—great choices for a sunny afternoon. A special shoutout to Cherelle—it was such a pleasure meeting her! She made our visit extra enjoyable with her warm personality and great service. If you’re in Vail, Pepi’s is definitely a must-stop for happy hour! 🍹🍺

Daniella and the hostess provided excellent service. The restaurant was pet friendly. We sat outside. Food was delicious. Great soups for this cold weather. Honestly, the food was worth the price & experience. First time in Vail, and I would definitely come back.
Javier S — Google review
Good food with good service and nice to eat outside during the summer. Ordered wiener schnitzel and it's a winner! The beef stroganoff was so good and the beef is sooo tender. I also like how they perfectly cook the branzino and the escargot is full of flavor. For desserts we ordered creme brulee it is perfectly caramelized and creamy also with just the right amount of sweetness for me. For apple strudel needs a little improvement because I find the apple sour. But overall we had a great time.
Ja — Google review
Our experience was extremely disappointing. The hostess, an older woman, clearly lacked both customer service skills and basic empathy. Unfortunately, the waitress was even worse—rude and dismissive toward our entire family. The atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming, as if kindness and hospitality were foreign concepts. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of care in a place meant to serve and connect with people. A little compassion would go a long way here.
Quillera Q — Google review
Fantastic Tyrolean atmosphere. The wiener schnitzel (two breaded pork medallions) and jagrschnitzel (pork medallions in mushroom sauce) came in large portions and were everything we expected from a highly rated Austrian place. We returned for a delicious and large slice of apfelstruedel (apple strudel) with ice cream and vanilla sauce. Wow!

Vendettas Restaurant is a long-standing cafe in Vail Village that offers Italian dishes and pizza along with a bar and outdoor seating. It has been a beloved spot for ski patrollers, known for offering the first beer for free. The restaurant's welcoming atmosphere and top-notch drinks make it popular among both locals and visitors.
I came here with my husband, we were in Vail celebrating our anniversary. We came during “off season” so a lot of businesses and restaurants were closed and the city was pretty empty. We found this place for dinner and I was very happy with our choice!! The prices were reasonable and it wasn’t overly expensive and fancy. Since it wasn’t busy there wasn’t a wait to be seated and the food came out quickly. We had Fried Mozzarella, Chicken Parmesan, and a pizza. The fried mozzarella wasn’t our favorite (tasted frozen) but the pizza was excellent and was made fresh in house! I would absolutely return next time we pass through. Mountain towns operate differently, so if you are in a rush and it’s busy season this place probably isn’t for you.
Elizabeth Z — Google review
The food was good, the service was great, and the overall experience is what you would expect. We both ordered chicken parm as the main dish. It was very good, but I do wish they would give a larger piece of chicken. A hack I recommend is to order individual slices of pizzas as your appetizers as it is cheaper and you can get single slices so if you are multiple people you can each order a different type.
MAURICIO R — Google review
🍕 Loved pizza here 🍕 The pizza was delicious — crispy crust, fresh toppings, and perfect cheese! The place has a cozy vibe and friendly staff, making it great for hangouts. However, the chicken soup was disappointing — too bland and watery. Overall, a good spot for pizza, but skip the soup next time. 🍕

We were in Vail in the off season so not a lot open. But so glad Vendettas was! The smell drew me in! I saw a pizza on someone’s table and knew what I wanted!! We chose the W. V. A and were not disappointed. Crispy crust! We started with the burrata which was equally delicious. Our server was very friendly. Vendettas hit the spot!

We were looking for vegetarian menu and this caught our eye. Authentic Italian - we ordered veggie pizza and Alfredo pasta (not on menu but recommended by server Claire who was very helpful). Pasta was delicious. They can make pizza spicy upon request.
Sejal P — Google review
The patio is the best part of this restaurant. The service was okay, but the staff is not friendly except with people seated at the bar, who appeared to be locals. There's a sign that says "HOST" literally in the middle of the restaurant, which you must stand under in order to be seated. Why not greet people when they walk in? My beer was served in a dirty glass, and I requested a new one. I ordered chicken piccata. The noodles themselves had no sauce, just dry spaghetti with a thick piece of poorly cooked chicken. I've had piccata at other restaurants and it should be chicken that is pounded thin and lightly breaded. They are charging $29 for that? Nope. I sent back the chicken and ordered a slice of pizza. Their pizza had almost no sauce, and what sauce it had was dried out tomato paste. The cheese was barely melted and oil was pooled on top. This is Vail, do better! I had a few bites and left to eat elsewhere.

Lisa C — Google review
We came to Pazzo’s Pizzeria with a group of about 10 people and ordered a variety of items. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The drinks were terrible—most likely because the ice was made from poor-quality tap water. On top of that, when my young son wanted to pour his drink into a smaller cup, I asked for a refill after splitting it. Instead of understanding the situation, the server told me we “can’t share drinks.” That was frustrating, because we weren’t trying to share between adults—it was simply for my toddler. The pizza itself was the biggest letdown. It honestly was the worst pizza I’ve ever had—bad taste, low quality, and definitely not worth the price. To make matters worse, the bill felt overpriced, and a high tip was added automatically. For the quality of food and service we received, that tip was not deserved. Overall, between the bad food, poor service, and unfair pricing, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend Pazzo’s Pizzeria to anyone.
Elchin A — Google review
The food was terrible and so was the service. We were never brought drinks refills, never checked on, we had to flag someone down to even get the check. The crust was soggy, the topping was bland and overall the pizza was so greasy. We would not go back.

I recently tried the pizza at this place and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The pasta was simply fantastic, cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce. The two medium pizzas were generous in size and oh-so-cheesy, which I absolutely loved. The flavors were great, although I do think they could reduce the amount of cheese slightly for a more balanced taste. Overall, a delightful experience!

What an absolutely phenomenal experience. They took us as a walk-in table for 2 at prime dinner hour. I thought they would give us a 2 hour wait but they incredibly graciously found us a remarkable table with the sweetest view of the creek. The was precursor to the incredibly hospitable and warm service we received all evening. For the food, the Bernaise sauce that came with my 8oz filet was a particular highlight. My friend got the trout and said it was excellent. I look forward to making this place a Vail tradition!

Overall great food and service, but steep prices. 7 dollars for hard bread with some butter was not a great start. The winter squash soup was very creamy and heartwarming, just a tad bland. The duck pot pie was very flavorful. The NY strip was pretty good, but a small portion for $57. The gratin potatoes were delicious. We sat at the bar, where we didn't have a whole lot of space. Our waitress (the bartender) was very attentive even though she was extremely busy. We spent $212.25 for three people after tax before tip.

Nice steakhouse, my kids loved this place. The steak was really good. You can find bison and venison. Fun thing is that you can buy a round of beers for the kitchen staff. I don’t think is 100% for kids I think more for couples or friends. But it was great.

Came to Vail for a weekend getaway with my fiancé. We stopped at Russel’s for a good steak dinner. Everything was great other than the service. Had a blonde, tall, older woman. She charged us for bread that we ordered and never got. She came to the table to check and we had empty drinks - we had to ask when she came back for a refill. By the time the check came, never apologized for the bread nor offered to let us take it home. She also didn’t give us an update on desserts so the dessert my fiancé wanted was out. Lastly, she didn’t give us any silverware with our to go food. If I am spending $100+ per person for food and with the bill being over $250 without tip - I expect exceptional service. Probably won’t be back.

The waitstaff are incredible. The food - not so much. I have never been to a steakhouse that slathers their steaks in some sort of gravy without asking. The vegetables were not edible. Ended up eating the potatoes that came with the meal (vegetables come with the main entree but it is not mentioned on the menu so that you order side dishes - fyi) Really expensive. Really not worth it.

Restaurant
Located at the top of Vail mountain, "The 10th" is a chic restaurant offering modern cuisine and a full bar in a spacious lodge-like setting with stunning views. Guests can ski or bike directly to the elegant dining room for lunch, or take Gondola One for a more leisurely approach.
I was in Vail for a work trip with several colleagues and on a day when a few of us went skiing, we all decided to meet here for lunch during the day. The location and atmosphere is amazing, with great views of the mountains. The food was really good with a lot of ‘comfort food’ options on the menu which were perfect for a cold day, like pot pie, chili, etc. The only complaint is that it was a bit overpriced; and the cost for those not skiing to take the gondola up the mountain to mid-Vail seemed a bit outrageous. It was $60 round trip on the gondola just to go eat at the restaurant; and some of the prices for lunch were high, like $33 for a bowl of chili, $30 for a burger, and $30 for a pot pie. For the one time visit, it was worth it, but I don’t think it’s a place you would eat at every day if skiing here for several days.

Such a posh mountain dining experience! It was a real treat to break up a ski day and enjoy lots of room, nice service, good menu, great view, upscale bathrooms and even a coat room in this beautiful lodge. Reservations are needed, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Portions were huge and definitely shareable. The vegetable risotto was very tasty, and hot chocolate was topped beautifully. A top notch Vail experience.

One of the best veggie burgers I've ever had, the aubergine was melt in the mouth and so tender. Served with a massive portion of truffle fries. Shame the restaurant is so expensive, our bill came out to over $200 for four people to have a main dish and one starter to share. Our server was lovely and attentive. But what really sells this place was the insane views and lovely atmosphere on the mountain. We didn't reserve a table and we managed to get one, but in future i would reserve.

Fantastic experience each day for lunch on the mountain last year, yesterday, and today! It is the highlight of our culinary experience in Vail. Between the burgers, truffle fries, and chocolate chip cookies, it hits all the right notes. Kyle, the manager, has been nothing but friendly and a class act. Brett was a fantastic stand-in waiter on Tuesday. Adrianna did an outstanding job waiting on us Wednesday. Sophie was very helpful as a hostess. Let’s not forget Sasha, best bartender on the mountain. We will be back tomorrow!

The absolute worst hot dog I’ve ever had in my life. And it was $35 dollars… Pair that with rude, incompetent service and an already included 20% tip and you have a 1 star review. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

Bistro
Breakfast restaurant
Coffee shop
Nestled at the top of Bridge Street in Vail Village, Big Bear Bistro is a vibrant and cozy cafe offering a delightful array of breakfast and lunch options. The menu features an assortment of sandwiches made with natural meats and freshly baked breads, along with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. Whether you're craving a hearty meat-filled sandwich like The Masterpiece or a lighter option such as The Tree Hugger packed with hummus and veggies, there's something for everyone.
Went to look for a nice cafe for breakfast and this place had vegan options and this place had a lot of great options! We liked it enough to come back for dinner too! Sandwiches are really good and vegan eaters have a menu as well as substitutes for meats in other items.

Great takeout service. Hence the reason I forgot to take pictures of the food. My friend had the breakfast burrito which was quite good as I also took a bite. As a gym rat I had to cut on calories which is why to all people looking for a protein hack, all you have to do is order a “side” of eggs and ask them to put bacon. It’s a little cup with a good amount of eggs and slices of bacon. Straight fuel and protein. The aesthetic is really cool and the flowers right now in the summer give it a really cool touch. Always somewhat busy.

Ordered the Mona Lisa, Big Bears take on the Caprese Salad, it was absolutely divine. Flavor explosion in all the right ways! The rest of the family ordered the chai tea latte, chicken tortilla soup, the BLAT sandwich - all delicious

Great location, great food, great hot latte. Came in the off season and got a Masterpiece sandwich (I added an egg because it was breakfast time) and a pumpkin spice latte. Everything was delicious and I love the fresh baked ciabatta roll!!!

If I could give this place 10 stars on all I would. The atmosphere- sounds of river rapids, view of the river, dog friendly, view of a mountain. 10/10 Service-quick and friendly 10/10 Food-the Javidoo was phenomenal, the bread was fresh and crispy. The sandwich as a whole was sooo good. I could have had two.

My family went here for brunch and it was amazing! Best food we've had on our trip so far. The croissant French toast was DELICIOUS. It was so flaky. The omelettes, crepes and coffee were all really good. The service was really good, and they had a cute little patio we sat at that was perfect for kids.

Lovely sandwich place for lunch or breakfast sandwiches. We had the “masterpiece” sandwich - recommended by an employee, and it was delicious. I also tried the breakfast biscuit sandwich and it was good too.

Deli
Ice cream shop
Restaurant
Joe's Famous Deli is an old-school deli located in Vail, offering a variety of delicious sandwiches, housemade ice cream, and baked goods. The deli is known for its gluten-free options, including Italian and pastrami sandwiches made with bread that holds together well. The casual lunch spot is popular for its scrumptious paninis and fancy sandwiches like the Fun Guy veggie option with Portobello.
Really good sandwich spot! Feels like a deli inside but they have a wide selector of sandwiches, crepes, and ice cream. Kind of expensive for a sandwich but that’s to be expected. I got the Rosemary Chicken Sandwich and it was amazing! We also like the Roasted Turkey a lot too. Very filling and I’d come back to try one of their savory crepes.

Joe's Famous Deli and Homemade Ice Cream is located on Bridge Street in the heart of Vail Village. Their menu includes breakfast items, grilled sandwiches, cold sandwiches, hot drinks and other items. FYI - you'll need to descend a flight of stairs to reach the front entrance from street level. My go-to sandwich is usually a Reuben so Joe's Famous Ruben Sandwich was an obvious choice for me, but I was quite disappointed in their rendition. The sandwich lacked sauce and flavor and was average at best. I could only finish half of it, and it actually tasted better when I reheated the leftovers in the microwave the next day. My daughter did however enjoy their child meal deal which included a sandwich and homemade ice cream. Service wasn't overly friendly either but was efficient. Joe's is a good spot to duck into when it's snowing outside and you need to get out of the cold and grab a quick bite. I'd recommend asking the staff for their recommendation if you visit since the reviews are mixed or consider other local dining options.

Located down some steps from a main drag. Good signage. Came here cause i was hangry. It’s an old school looking place, the kind that looks like it could undergo renovations but doesn’t need to due to a solid reputation. You know the type. They have a large variety of sandwiches and breads. You can pick from the list or make your own from scratch. I got the pulled pork and it was SO tasty. It was really rich though. My partner got the roasted chicken (the one with the pesto). It was even better. The sandwiches are pretty big actually, we regret not having shared one. I found the pork super rich and couldn’t finish it but if you’re wanting a solid pulled pork sandwich this would fulfil that craving. They had the most AMAZING coleslaw I’ve ever had though. Ever. I really was tempted to get some of the delicious looking baked goods too, however there were other dessert places i wanted to check out. Staff were quick and efficient. You can tell they see a lot of customer volume and hustle to accommodate this. It’s a big crowded and hot and stuffy. Otherwise I would absolutely return. If you’re a sandwich lover, you’ll love this. Also priced accordingly for the size and quality of food you get.

Last Sunday, July 27th, 2025 - I entered Joe's Deli to have breakfast. I ordered a sandwich which was good. However, my concern was the orange juice I ordered. I asked the service person if they had fresh squeezed orange juice, to what he said yes. I ordered one then, and my surprise at the first sip was to realize he had lied to me; it was regular juice from a bottle. I told the cashier lady about the juice, and she reacted surprised when I mentioned fresh squeezed orange juice. She said " we don't have that here". The service guy came close, and I told him what had happened, and he said: " it doesn't taste fresh because the oranges were too ripe" - he lied to me again. Then I asked for a refund, and he supposedly did what he needed to do with the system. Today, 2 days later, I have not gotten any refund. Unfortunately, this is not a place to visit again.

Wanted to try a local deli. We chose Joe's. Loved it being on a lower level. Great friendly service. Disappointed that the sandwich didn't come with a side other than a pickle spear. I had the roast turkey club and the wife had ham and swiss. Not much taste to mine. The white cabbage didn't add to the flavor. Nice chewy bread and the homemade ice cream looked good.

We had raspberry cheesecake ice cream waffle cones that we both thought was the best ice cream we had ever had. We went back the following night at 8:30 on a Sunday evening for a sandwich and were told they couldn’t make us a sandwich because they were going to start closing at 8:30 in Sunday’s , Eventhough there were about 10 people ordering ice cream and sitting at tables. We were so disappointed as we had skipped several other places to walk all the way from lions head to get a sandwich before there 9:00 closing time. So we just got ice cream and walked back to our Airbnb . We thought the location off the street down steps to the basement was neat.

Holy cow what fresh, delicious sandwiches. We had Dominici's hot Italian and it was fabulous! A hidden gem at Vail but a must dine place. We will be back!
Karen M — Google review
Totally not worth it. Completely over-priced for the size of sandwich you get while only being average in taste plus it took them for eternity to make two sandwiches with three people on duty and the store being not busy at all. You don‘t get famous by calling yourself famous.

⭐ 4/5 – Great Hotel Restaurant with a Solid Breakfast Located inside The Sebastian Vail, Leonora is a fantastic hotel restaurant, especially for breakfast. I wasn’t expecting much from a hotel restaurant, but this place exceeded expectations. 🍽️ The Food: 4/5 The breakfast menu was impressive, and the food was delicious. The dishes were flavorful, filling, and beautifully prepared. It’s clear that they’re putting in the effort to create a quality dining experience. I had a hearty breakfast that left me completely fulfilled. It was well worth the price for the quality and portion size. 🛎️ The Service: 4/5 The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The staff made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. It was a nice balance of being present when needed but giving us the space to enjoy our meal. 🏡 The Atmosphere: 4/5 The restaurant has a chic, modern feel that fits in perfectly with the stylish Vail setting. It’s a hotel restaurant, but it feels more like a destination spot than just a place to grab a quick bite. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. 💰 The Verdict: Worth It for a Hotel Restaurant ✅ Delicious and fulfilling breakfast – definitely not your typical hotel breakfast ✅ Great service – friendly and attentive staff ✅ Stylish atmosphere – a chic and comfortable setting ❌ Price is on the higher side – but still reasonable for the quality Would I come back? Yes, absolutely. Leonora is a great spot for breakfast when staying at The Sebastian Vail, and I’d definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Leonora is a restaurant my family and I have been going for years now. It’s a family favorite and we never fail to go when we’re in town. We went recently during our trip and realized that they’ve changed the menu to a more southern vibe. I have to say exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious! ✨ The atmosphere is great for whether you’re going on a date or having dinner with your family. Our recent dining experience was elevated by our waiter, Lance. From the moment we were seated, Lance's friendly demeanor and attentive service made us feel truly welcomed. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. His genuine enthusiasm and professionalism ensured that our evening was nothing short of amazing. Thank you, Lance, for making our visit to a memorable one. We'll definitely be back! And this was a def 10/10✨🍞🥰

We haven't been to the Sebastian for years, the new ( to us) Leonora Restaurant was terrific. Tapas style starters were all excellent. Table favorites were the Lamb Lollipops, Grilled Octupus ( seriously the best I have had in a long time!) and scallops. The family favourite was the special Rib eye, cooked to perfection and was enough to feed the 5 of us. A special mention to Jeffrey, our server, who was engaging, welcoming, forward thinking and attentive in a nice way! Also to mention I cannot have Dairy or Wheat and all dishes I was going to eat were adjusted without issue and tasted terrific. Thank you for a great night out.

I strongly recommend Leonora as a restaurant for your trip to Vail. We are on New Years Eve for their “New Years Gala” fine dining, 5 course experience. Below I shared our meals, I did forget to photograph our soup. For food, it was quite expensive. You get a proper fine dining experience but not a lot of bang for your buck with the 5 course experience. The food was full of flavor but didn’t have a large quantity for big eaters. I can say that after all 5 courses I was still a bit hungry as I did prepare for this meal and fast beforehand. The salad was my favorite part of the meal - it was just perfect and tasted amazing. The beef too was tender and flavorful, not my first choice though.

Being a resident up here in the Valley I usually steer clear of Vail. But, we spent the night at The Sebastian and ate breakfast at Lenora. Three words, it was good! Breakfast here was tasty, the French toast and waffles were lite. Not the dense fare that one gets at other places that serve breakfast. Bacon was crisped and the biscuits and gravy, wow! The poblano sausage gravy was amazing. We were full but not stuffed. When in Vail Colorado try breakfast at Lenora. You will not be disappointed.

Birthday dinner and it was amazing! The service was first class the food was exquisite and the atmosphere was everything you expect!
Andrea V — Google review
My significant other and I dined at Leonora in Vail on New Year’s Eve, expecting an extraordinary experience to celebrate the occasion. Unfortunately, it was anything but amazing. We spent nearly $850 (gratuity included), but the service was awful. We opted for the wine pairing, which was supposed to feature multiple wines paired with each course, along with explanations about each wine. Instead, we were served multiple incorrect wines, none of which were explained. To make matters worse, the timing was completely off—we had already finished eating before any wine even made it to our table. The food was one of the few redeeming features, but even that couldn’t salvage the experience. When we voiced our concerns about the numerous mistakes (apparently due to a staff shortage, which is not the customer’s problem), the restaurant’s response was to offer a complimentary bottle of wine valued at $30. Considering the nearly $850 we had spent, this felt like an insult rather than an attempt to make things right. Adding to the disappointment, while the main restaurant is beautiful with a lovely ambiance, we were placed in a blank, secondary room with low ceilings, no decor, and zero atmosphere. It felt like an afterthought and left us with a miserable impression of what should have been a special evening. Leonora completely failed to deliver the exceptional experience we were expecting. It’s incredibly disappointing to splurge on something like this only to be so thoroughly let down.

Loaded Joe's in Vail is a versatile venue that transitions from a cozy coffee shop and diner during the day to a lively pub with music and drinks at night. Recently relocated to a more spacious area near the Vail Covered Bridge, it offers ample seating for patrons to enjoy their coffee while people-watching. The establishment serves some of the best coffee in town, sourced from Seattle's Rococo Coffee Roasters, and features an affordable breakfast menu.
Came here during the week while shopping at the Vail Village. It was busy, but they were very efficient in taking the orders and starting each order right away. There were good options from hot or cold coffees and teas, also having fruit smoothies. We had a large party so ordered coffee, tea, and smoothies. It was a hot day, so I preferred the smoothies. There's plenty of seating here from the bar stools to the larger sofa sitting area. Service was very friendly and efficient. Nice place to come for a refreshment while at the Village.

I encourage you to improve your customer service experience at Local Joe's on Bridge Street. Every interaction is an opportunity to uplift and inspire. I hope you'll take this chance to reflect on the impact of your words and actions on others. Remember, kindness can transform lives. I wanted to support my local business, but I hope you'll understand why I won't be returning. Let's strive to be kind to people. The way you treated myself and my friend was extremely unkind and hurtful and I can only hope you don’t treat people like that daily. Be better.

Extremely disappointing experience- would not recommend. My partner, sister, and I visited Loaded Joe’s in Vail yesterday (10/17) around 5:55 PM, and I now completely understand why the reviews are so low. We went during non-peak season, so there was absolutely no excuse for how poor the experience was. The blonde woman working was incredibly rude and unhelpful from the moment we walked in. We had to initiate conversation and ask about the “Best Happy Hour in Vail” which was advertised in the Vail Daily and the main reason I chose this spot to show my partner around for the first time. Her response was, “The best I can do is the summer Coors Banquet special for $3.50… maybe like a dollar or two off some beers. Nothing else.” That’s it? If that’s what they’re calling the best happy hour, that’s incredibly misleading. Still, we ordered three Coors and I even tipped (I was a waitress for years and always try to show the utmost respect to service staff). We sat down to enjoy our drinks, and about 10-15 minutes later (at 6:10 PM) she came over and told us, “I need to sweep so I need to kick you out.” The place is supposed to close at 7 PM. When we mentioned we still had open beer cans, she said, “You can sit on the patio.” It was 38 degrees outside. We ended up finishing our beers freezing on the patio, completely baffled. I’ve been coming to the Vail Valley for years, and I’ve never had such a rude or uncomfortable experience anywhere. If you’re visiting Vail, go ANYWHERE else, even Benderz in Avon, where we always have a great time and friendly service. Loaded Joe’s completely missed the mark on hospitality and basic customer respect. Definitely will never be coming back and will certainly be telling all my friends who visit the area as well to stay clear. The poor reviews didn't lie!
Shannon — Google review
The staff were extremely friendly, greeting us enthusiastically as we walked in the door. This larger location is a great improvement from the small basement space I fondly recall from years back. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast, latte, and a smoothly while reading the local Sunday newspaper they provided. Tim, went out of his way to accommodate us. We didn’t like the ketchup on the burrito - too sweet for our taste preferences.

I really hope you reply to this review yourself, and apologize to my wife, her friend and their children for the way you talked to them and disrespected kids. Love this coffee shop! Probably the best mocha I’ve had. Also, the staff was super friendly (and patient with our group) and the vibe perfect (amazing playlist too!). I’ll be back to try their sandwiches!

I was very disappointed with Loaded Joe’s in Vail. Given the location, I expected a classy and welcoming coffee shop experience. Instead, the blonde barista behind the counter was blasting music at an uncomfortably high volume. I politely asked if she could turn it down since I had brought my elderly grandparents with me, but she refused and told me that loud music was the only way she stays awake. This was incredibly disrespectful and made the visit unpleasant. Vail is known for quality and hospitality, but unfortunately this place did not live up to that standard. Would not recommend.

Here’s a casual version for your new review: ⸻ Review: We loved the beautiful mountain view—it made the evening extra special. We had the octopus and the halibut, both cooked perfectly. Paired it with a nice bottle of wine and couldn’t have been happier. The service was excellent, making the whole experience just perfect. ⸻ Do you want me to make this slightly longer with more descriptive words for the food and wine, or keep it short and simple like this?

We really enjoyed our lunch! The scallops were tender and perfectly cooked, served on a delicious bed of lentils. I also tried their signature hot chocolate — sweet like most chocolates, but the presentation was cozy and beautiful. We first sat outside away from the fireplace, but once a spot opened up, the staff kindly moved us closer. The service was very polite and attentive.

Service was great. We had a great time in remedy bar. Their hot chocolate was a bargain. It was my husband’s birthday and I wanted to give a small surprise with wishes, the lady who served us did an amazing job with the surprise wishes. She helped me make it a special day with my husband. Her name was Magdalene I guess. I wanted to leave a good tip for her but we were in a hurry to get somewhere else,so we ended up giving usual tip, and I felt sorry later. But the restaurant, ambience and service were amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

Grabbed a quick bite here after spa session. Food is absolutely delicious. We have had the octopus and shrimp starters which were both perfectly cooked. Today we tried the quinoa bowl and the remedy burger which were excellent. Burger was super juicy and oozed of umami. Fries were crispy and broke perfectly to the touch. Prior day we had the halibut which was great as well. Crispy top and bottom skin with moist center. Would definitely recommend this for those looking for a yummy lunch.

Nestled within Vail's transportation center, La Cantina is a casual eatery that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Despite its unconventional location, this unassuming restaurant offers an array of delectable yet reasonably priced Mexican dishes. The house special, green chili, imparts a comforting homestyle flavor to their offerings. While there are numerous Mexican restaurants in Vail, La Cantina stands out for possibly serving the best rellenos and burritos in Colorado.
Good food, good prices, fast serivice, salsa bar, good location. As per food I'm satisfied, portions are big and flavor is satisfactory. Recommend

Okay this is the only bargain hole in the wall in Vail and the food is excellent and the drinks are excellent and everything is reasonably priced you can get a really nice margarita for $7.95. to tacos that are delicious but small for less than $7 nice burritos that are under $10. There is bar seating as well as quite a few tables. The six or so salsas they have are amazing I didn't try the very hot but I tried the hot and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place simply because of the value and the quality of the food you can't beat it in this area.

Go to Mexican food when visiting Vail. Sleeper of a restaurant given the location inside the parking garage. Have eaten large majority of the menu and it’s always amazing: taquitos, crispy tacos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, nachos. Recommend the beef option over chicken but chickens still good. For those who leave poor reviews on hamburgers, it’s a Mexican food place… Note - this is somewhere in between Texmex and Arizona Mexican food.

Simple spot located adjacent to the Vail Village Transportation Center serving authentic and delicious Mexican food. Incredibly affordable by Vail standards. Waiter and order taker Thomas (I hope I heard his name right) was so kind when he took a call from a customer looking for a bag she left behind. He walked around the restaurant several times checking everywhere and eventually found the bag and told her he would hold it for her behind the counter. Nice guy! would definitely go back to have more yummy food at this place!

Asian restaurant

May Palace is a beloved Chinese restaurant in Vail, established in 1987. It offers a diverse menu featuring Chinese cuisine as well as dishes from South Asian countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The restaurant is known for its authentic Chinese dishes and fresh sushi, providing a delightful dining experience for both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers to Asian cuisine. Customers appreciate the pleasant service and easy online ordering process.
Worst Chinese food in the valley! I ordered the massaman curry with a side of white rice. First the rice was the most terrible thing, the curry had some kind a flavor to it. The rice tasted like they made the rice days ago, threw it in the microwave and mixed it in with the regular rice. It’s really hard to mess up rice. Then the curry, so much MSG, and it still tasted bad. My leg cramped up on the way to the car. $3.50 for a bottled soda. I can get it cheaper in Vail Village!

May Palace, a haven for authentic Chinese cuisine, has been my go-to place for the past five years. Their food consistently delivers on quality, offering a delightful experience without the greasy or microwaved mess. It’s a fantastic, healthy option for my husband and me. The flavors are authentic, from Dim Sum to Singapore Noodles. The service is always warm and friendly, making it a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend checking out their lunch specials, vegetarian options, and Sunday buffet. Thank you, May Palace team, for making my dining experience so enjoyable each time!

Classic American Chinese food joint that has some pan-Asian fare. We got and would recommend the vegetable tofu soup, szechuan beef (spicy!) and the mushu vegetables. They still use tablecloths and real napkins, and rice comes with every entree. If you're expecting the most authentic Chinese cuisine, I think you'll be disappointed. But, if you know what you're getting into, the portions are good, the food fresh and not overly salted, and the prices reasonable, especially for a place like Vail.

I stopped into Vail for a couple days for business, and wanted something close to my hotel so I didn’t have to drive in the snow. The gentleman that I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant, and I was very impressed with their website and easy navigation to order. Ordered both the Mongolian beef and the kung pao chicken plus the spring rolls. Picked up my food, and brought it back to my hotel. It was packaged well which is always a good sign. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients and great flavor! I’m pleased that I stumbled upon this great restaurant! Highly recommend to anyone picky about their Chinese food!

Food is decent, service is okay, place is okay BUT DO NOT DINE IN HERE. It's high way robbery to automatically charge tip for a 2-person party for 15% then still have option to ask for more. This leaves the customers no option to give the tip amount they feel like

Good food and service. We went there at 3:30 after a long hike. The lunch (11:30-4:00) menu has everything we wanted. We ordered Kong Pao Shrimp and Thai coconut curry with shrimp. I really like the Thai curry as it was creamy and healthy with a lot of veggies. Overall the ingredients are fresh and tasty.

Nestled in a cozy tavern atmosphere, Vail Ale House is the perfect spot for those craving classic pub fare and an impressive selection of craft beers. With over 20 local brews on tap, this lively venue also features a spacious dance floor and numerous TVs for game day excitement. Kick off your evening with one of their signature cocktails like the spicy oasis or Moscow mule, then indulge in hearty dishes such as the Ale House chicken pot pie or fresh Rocky Mountain rainbow trout.
Highly recommend! Great food, atmosphere, and service. And also not crowded, even on a Friday night.

Not very crowded on a Tuesday night during the off season. The food was good and going during happy hour was nice.

Cool local vail place. The beer was cold. The wings were average and the pinball was broken. All in all i would visit again.

Very good burgers. But if you're looking for atmosphere and dining experience, look elsewhere. Vail Ale House is basically a bar hall and it was so cold inside that we never even took our ski parkas off.

We came in on a Monday (holiday monday though), and it was very busy. It is a seat yourself kind of place (did not know that and stood at the door without an acknowledgement). Once sat, our waitress came. She was very overwhelmed with tables. I only saw maybe 3 wait staff the whole night. Every table was full. She warned us the food might take a while to come out, which was awesome she did. Helped our expectations. Once it came out, food was excellent, but we did not see our waitress the rest of the night. We just went to the bar and ordered more beer. Took 15 min to get a refill for water and by then, we were ready to leave. She was very busy, and needed help. No manager in sight.

Great spot for a beer and good pub food. A bit on the loud side, but we went on Friday and there was a large Christmas party. Service and food was quick even though they were very busy. Good beer selection on tap. Worth a visit when in Vail.

We've seen this place change hands over the years. Just went two weeks ago and had a great meal with our kids. The service was great and the food was delicious. We ordered the poutine and jalapeno poppers to start and shared a Cobb salad with steak. Generous portions and good prices for the area. Hope it's the same restauuwhen we are in town next.

Great beer selection and great service. Our server Amber had good knowledge of the beer, as well as the food. Food was really good! Yeah the prices are a bit on the steep side, but if this was in Vail Village, no one would think twice about it.

The Blü Cow is a popular spot in Vail Village, known for its Swiss hot dogs and homemade soup. It's a family-owned establishment that has been serving the original Swiss hot dog recipe since 1967. The funky-chic hot dog stand at the top of Bridge Street has become an après hangout for locals, offering a cozy patio and warm cocktails like Chai Hot Toddy and Irish Coffee.
Delicious Swiss dog. Never tried one before and we were glad we did. The baguette, fresh arugula, mustard and hot dog were so good. Also came with a free beer. Bonus!

We loved our spiked hot chocolate while waiting for our son to come back down from the mountains. Nice cozy spot with delicious drinks. Everyone was very nice and the place looked clean as well. Great spot to sit outside and do some people watching. Fairly small cafe so dont expect to have alot of room with a big crew. The area has a great atmosphere and we enjoyed the service as well. Definitely some great hot chocolate that we will be back for. Thank you l!
Brittany H — Google review
We were excited to try Blü Cow in Vail since we love unique, funky places. The décor was cozy and the Swiss Dog tasted good but wasn’t worth $17. Two hot chocolates and a soup brought the total to $68 — expensive but expected for a ski town. We were told the soup would take 10 minutes, but after 30 minutes it still hadn’t come. When we politely asked for a refund, the owner came out yelling at my wife in front of everyone, insisting we hadn’t waited long and being shockingly rude. The soup finally arrived as we were leaving — decent, but not worth the price or the awful experience. We’ve never been treated so disrespectfully at a restaurant. Overpriced food, long waits, and an aggressive owner — we won’t be back. It will be interesting how/if the owner responds. 🧐

Such a vibe. Down to earth atmosphere, delicious, unique signature dog and great beer. Always a favorite after biking the Vail pass. Nothing like a few cold Trumers after some moderate exertion. Get the regular and ask for extra onion and parsley, you won’t regret it.

I've been a loyal customer of Blu Cow for years, growing up in the Vail Valley and regularly bringing guests here after skiing. This place has always held special memories for me. Recently, I called to inquire about taking engagement photos here (something I've seen other couples do) and whether a photographer's permit was required. The first person who answered hung up on me. When I called back and spoke with the owner, they yelled at me, made me cry and hung up again. I was simply trying to be responsible by asking about their policies beforehand. The hostile treatment I received was shocking and completely unprofessional. As a long-time customer who has supported this business for years and recommended it to countless visitors, I'm deeply disappointed by this experience. While I have many fond memories here, this interaction has permanently changed my perception of how this establishment treats its customers. g
Rachel L — Google review
Had a small get-together here for my girlfriends birthday yesterday. We drove in from Colorado Springs and met with others who drove from Grand Junction. The owner was incredibly accommodating and welcoming of us showing up with short notice to have a small event at her establishment. The food was wonderful, and their coffee drinks were phenomenal. I look forward to visiting here again!

Decided to try something simple and delicious, Blü Cow was just the right place. Their Swiss hot dogs are yummy, along with rejuvenating Uber Soup. Friendly service.

A must stop for me when I'm in Vail. Tiny restaurant/bar with outdoor seating and a busy to-go counter. Delicious (and quickly served) food and drink. Jovial atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended. Get there specialty of the house: hot dog served Swiss style. Delish!!!!!

Farmers Markets
The Vail Farmers' Market is a delightful Sunday destination that runs from June to October, transforming Vail Village into a vibrant hub of activity. As you stroll through the market, you'll be enveloped by the enticing scents of freshly baked treats and the lively sounds of local musicians creating an inviting atmosphere. With over a hundred vendors showcasing everything from fresh produce and flowers to unique arts and crafts by Colorado artisans, there's truly something for everyone.
Enjoyed the views and the smells of fresh food in the air is amazing.

Farmers market at Vail Village was fantastic! There is something for everyone- vendors selling all kinds of products: art, jewelry, produce, wine, food, bakery, clothing, honey, candles, etc. So much to see. The landscape is perfect with a stream running through the village & the mountains all around. The grounds are immaculate. Lots of families walking around. Totally worth checking it out!
Kristen T — Google review
Great farmers market with a large variety of vendors from crafts and jewelry to sweets, produce, and meats. Not inexpensive but you can find a bargain depending on what you are looking for.
TravelR — Google review
100+ vendor's with lots of great items from local farmers, ranchers, small business's, and hand made items. Every Thursday afternoon 1:00-5:30pm & Sun 9:30-3:30.
Brad Y — Google review
One of the best farmers markets in Colorado. There’s such a wide variety of vendors that can be found here from journals with leather covers to fresh produce and meats. One of my favorite vendors is Vail Meat Co, which is a family-run meat company. They simply have the best beef products that I’ve tasted. The produce vendors always have a wonderful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. There is ample free parking within a short distance of the market. I recommend arriving close to the opening hour in order to have the best selection of items without having to wait in too long of lines - Vail Meat’s line gets long very quickly.

Tasty food vendors, local produce, cool crafts, and pleasant atmosphere. Friendly people, clean streets, and free daytime parking. Must try Helgas peach and apple pies!

This place is HUGE and probably the place to visit while you’re in Vail during the summer time. The farmers market took up the entire plaza and there were so many vendors. If you’re one to like good chocolate you need to stop at the Bolea stand. After you eat, it connects to trails that you can walk you food off at. I wasn’t feeling well so I didn’t go on a hike with my friends which meant I didn’t have the car but there’s a shuttle service that took us from our Airbnb to the farmers market.

Ice cream shop
Sundae in Vail Village is a popular spot for artisan ice cream lovers. They offer a variety of creative flavors and homemade classics, including ice cream sandwiches, waffle cones, signature shakes, and sundaes where you can mix in candies and goodies. The small-batch artisan ice cream shop is known for its diverse range of flavors and friendly service. Whether you're craving a classic cone or an indulgent sundae, Sundae has something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Stopped into this ice cream shop while walking around in Vail. We were one of their first customers and they didn’t have many flavors available since they just opened. They do make their own custom waffle ice cream cones. Let me tell you - these might be the best ice cream cones I’ve had. These cones were very rich in flavor of vanilla and large to say the least! The flavors I received on my handmade waffle cone were “Oh Nuts” & “Salted Cookies & Cream”. Both flavors nailed their names and were very uniquely crafted. Overall, I loved my cone and my wife enjoyed her scoop of Salted Cookies & Cream. Greta place to stop in and get a waffle cone in Vail!
Ryan M — Google review
Lots of flavor choices. We ordered a kids sundae (had lots of whipped cream on it) and a chocolate scoop with dark chocolate chip mix in. Icecream was rich and a huge quantity. Price is on the expensive side. Limited seating inside.
Shenila M — Google review
Delicious periwinkle and matcha double scoop to share with my wife. Would highly recommend this location. Convenient and high quality and lots of exotic flavors. One suggestion to owner would be to turn the signs so that people can see it as they walk. If not for the tables outside and a few people eating, I had no idea and ice cream shop was there.
Andy — Google review
This little shop is an ice cream lover’s dream! The flavors of ice cream range from the trusted standby flavors like chocolate to the imaginative flavors of London fog, “oh nuts!” and Apple pie. Though our stomachs were too full to eat a sundae, we will be back to gobble one down, another day. Today, we tried a scoop of the butter pecan and salted cookies and cream. Both hit the spot! Scoop sizes are generous and staff are friendly.
Arianne R — Google review
Great ice cream. Creamy, thick, flavorful, and just enough flavors for everyone to find something. I like that you can get a single scoop but cut it half to get two flavors.
TravelR — Google review
Great customer service and lots of options to choose from. Low crowd on a Sunday afternoon. They have seating arrangements outside the shop. Situated in a beautiful city with picturesque architecture and views.
Neha T — Google review
Absolutely Loved It! So Fresh and Delicious I recently tried Sundae Vail Ice Cream and was genuinely blown away. The flavor was incredibly fresh — you can truly taste the quality in every bite. It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. You can tell they use real ingredients, and the freshness sets it apart from any other ice cream I’ve had. A definite must-try if you’re in Vail or just love great ice cream. Can’t wait to go back for more

Spanish restaurant
Barrio Social is a trendy tapas bar in Vail, created by the owners of La Bottega. The restaurant offers an elegant interior that extends to a patio for outdoor dining and people-watching. Inspired by travels through the Iberian Peninsula, the menu features authentic tapas like carne crudo with truffle mayo and razor clams with chorizo butter, as well as conservas such as sea urchin and baby eels.
Stopped-in on a whim while trying out restaurants around Vail on our wedding anniversary. We had no idea what to expect, but can honestly say that out of all the places we stopped, this was our favorite! The menu is seafood-forward, so we decided to start with the shrimp carpaccio. We were blown away by the flavor and freshness. It is rare to get totally sweet-smelling shrimp in a mountain town! Then we moved on to the bone marrow and beef tartare, which was truly comparable to dishes that we enjoyed in the French countryside. To top it all off, we were served by the kindest bartender named Gavin, who makes a MEAN margarita! Definitely drop by this place for fresh, flavor-filled take on dinner and drinks in the Vail Village!
Jillian W — Google review
Overall place does not worth the cost. The portions are small, but cost is way above average for a good restaurant. That could be ok if service was outstanding… but it wasn’t. Server messed up the table accidentally and never decided to come back and clean, disappointing for such value. The atmosphere is a killer there, though busses pass by often, it’s nice to sit on the terrace. No reason to bring kids in this restaurant, but not bad for couples.
Nick B — Google review
As I was walking through the village, I noticed their seafood paella special and I had to try it! It did not disappoint, I was very impressed with this place. The ambience of the place was on point. The cocktails were executed to perfection by the bartender Gavin! Our server, Tim recommended an appetizer special Tian Squash Blossom, it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, this is a must eat at restaurant while in Vail I will be back!
Madie — Google review
We live in Vail for a few months each year and have eaten at pretty much every restaurant. We didn’t feel this was a very good value relative to the price. Vs other options nearby. Here’s some Details. If you sit on the patio, it is essential that you be on the left side. The bus stop is right in front of the right side of the patio. The electric buses are pretty quiet, but the diesel ones are very noisy —really kills the atmosphere. Bread - Good quality, excellent butter. Four dollars. A deal. Gazpacho. Pretty tasty. Great deal at $10 Avocado soup. Very nice. Had A reasonable amount of crab sprinkled on top. Around $15 in a good value. Octopus. Not that great. A little stringy. Cut into small pieces, not served as an entire tentacle. Dry. But most oddly , It came with mashed potatoes and potato slices. Since the octopus was dry, there wasn’t any sort of a liquid element or sauce that would’ve really helped out. Disappointing. Poorly thought out and poor execution. Watermelon salad. Probably the highlight of the meal - really well seasoned. Had some nice mini Barada cheeses to go with it. Smart design! Cheese plate. Two of the four cheeses were manchego variants, one with a strong truffle flavor and one with a wine flavor. We didn’t enjoy them. The Pure manchego was excellent. The fourth cheese was OK. Olives were good. Overall, disappointing for the price. Potatoes - ok but not great; expensive. Wine - $17 for a small glass of OK wine is just really typical in Vail. It’s a nice location and the service was OK. We won’t be back. There’s better options.
Lon W — Google review
We are locals and are mistaken for not making it to Barrio Social until now. Fabulous location, great drinks, and lovely food. We are vegetarian, ordered a bunch of random plates to share, and enjoyed them all. Maria was a lovely and very helpful Spanish waitress. Gavin’s espresso martini is spot on, not sweet, but espresso and vodka forward. Definitely recommend.
Sarah R — Google review
My spouse is a former food industry professional. One of his favorite challenges and delights is paella. So when we walked by and saw the sign advertising paella we had to try. It did not disappoint. Generous saffron, amazing full flavored seafood paella. Just wonderful. They don't rush or precook it so you have to wait 20-30 minutes but it's the real deal and worth it. We also got their chorizo mussels and they were a savory citrus wonder. Finished the meal with possibly the best cheesecake I've ever had. Can't wait for an excuse to visit Vail and this restaurant again.

Me and my boyfriend went couple nights ago for dinner to this amazing Spanish food restaurant, the food was great and also de place and serving. Maria was our server that night we ask her few things about the menu and she answered and recommended some dishes perfectly, also Gavin the Bartender made a really good esspreso martini for us (best I ever try) thank you so much for make us a lovely night. I stumbled upon this spot in Vail while deciding where to eat and I’m so glad I did. Gavin at the bar immediately caught my attention with his confidence in crafting an espresso martini—and it lived up to the hype. His meticulous attention to detail was evident, and the drink was fantastic. Beyond the bar, the overall service stood out for its presentation, flavor, and timeliness. The dish I tried was incredibly delicious, and the scallops were cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely be returning here on my next trip to Vail!

Bart & Yeti's is a beloved local spot in Lionshead Village, Vail, known for its rustic charm and dog-friendly environment. The casual restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with ski-themed decor, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The establishment has a laid-back attitude and friendly service, welcoming patrons to enjoy traditional pub grub on the outdoor deck or in the cozy interior.
The food is good, the staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable being Vail, if you added a bit of grime and lowered the lights a bit it'd might be able to earn the title of a dive bar which would be a nice change in the sanitized world of Vail restaurants.

Atmosphere is like a chalet feel of wood n stone. Food was fine. Sloppy Joe was good. Chicken noodle soup was good. Pricey for the sandwich type food but we are in Vail Colorado. Daughter liked the salad. It was fine , the server was friendly. It was great to try. We were passing through to Utah.

Sloppy joe and beer. It really made my day eating a mean joe after a long flight. Quick easy bite, perfect for kids, families, or just a group looking to grab a drink. A charming bar full of decor and memorabilia really made it a place to remember! Plus they had a whole courtyard to themselves in the front with several tables for enjoy the outside too.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. We went for lunch with a 3 yo and 10 month old. The place was empty, we ordered food and drinks for me, my husband and my 3 year old. I fed my 10 month old baby probably 10 teddy grahams to keep him quiet while we ate. The bill shows up and they charged me $2 for "open food." Yes, $2 is a small charge, but for a place that says they're family friendly I think it's absolutely insane that they charged me for feeding my literal baby a few crackers. We'd ordered nachos and beers which is not exactly baby friendly, and the few little crackers kept the mess and also his screaming at bay so that everyone could enjoy their meals. I just think it's really tacky to do that. It's not like I rolled in with a McDonalds happy meal for a 10 year old who could have ordered off the menu. My 10 MONTH old baby couldn't really eat there anyway so why basically charge me a fee for bringing a baby to a public place. Seems like they wanted to make a statement about my young family not being welcome there, and folks should be aware of that considering Vail is a destination for many families. Eat somewhere else with your kiddos.
Stephanie P — Google review
I had a disappointing experience with an overpriced turkey and Swiss sandwich that cost me $18. I expected something a bit fancy, perhaps with better bread or more filling, but what I received was just two small slices of turkey, a half slice of Swiss cheese, and no condiments at all. To top it off, our group of three was hit with an automatic 20% gratuity. This feels unnecessary when the service charge is already included. In my 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, gratuity is typically only added for larger parties, usually six or more. In total, I paid $23 for a sandwich with minimal filling on regular white bread. I understand we’re in Vail, but their burgers are cheaper and come with way more food. Overall, I left feeling ripped off.

We loved our late lunch at Bart & Yeti’s! My wife and I explored Vail one afternoon and found this great little spot! I enjoyed my buffalo chicken sandwich and my wife liked her salad, but the soup of the day - sausage and leek - was amazing! We both raved about how good it was, and have commented on it to each other multiple times since eating there. Very nice staff and lots of good sports pictures on the walls.
John L — Google review
We had a good lunch here! We went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy for lunch. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and my friends got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the chicken passion sandwich (I think that’s what it was called! It came with like a plum sauce). It was exactly what I wanted and the bread specifically is amazing! Had a local feel to it. The plum sauce was good too. It is sweet, but not too much and goes well with the chicken (or the fries!)

The club also offers versatile private dining spaces for intimate gatherings and weddings, with friendly staff and diverse menu options. Additionally, nearby outdoor activities such as biking trails provide opportunities for adventure amidst the natural beauty of the area.
I had far from the best dining experience with Game Creek, but they made up for every short-coming and then some. I have never had a restaurant so generously compensate me for issues as Game Creek did tonight. As importantly, the food was amazing. We had the four course tasting menu with wine pairings and we were particularly impressed with our sommelier for the night, Rieff. He not only topped off wines and made sure we were enjoying everything, but he also got our food to come out on time or made sure to bring it out himself when service was off. Some of our service could have been better and some food initially came out cold, but as I said, the food alone is worth any slowness in service, and they were the most apologetic, and attentive sommelier and management I could ever have asked for. Will definitely return.
