Tanureen is a spacious and tastefully decorated restaurant that offers a great dining experience. The specialty dish, St. Peter's fish, is delicious but best enjoyed with the accompanying salads, flatbread, hummus, and rice for those who prefer it. The ambience is enhanced by pretty aquarium decor and friendly staff. While some have found the prices to be on the higher side at times, others have praised the excellent food and service provided at this establishment.
Stopped here for lunch. My guide wanted me to experience a traditional Galilean meal including the traditional fish The food was outstanding. Several delicious dishes. I was feeling replete already when the fish arrived, beautifully grilled We were treated and fed like kings
Graeme G — Google review
My tour guide recommended this place. The specialty dish was St. Peter's fish. It tastes nice but is quite plain by itself, so you have to eat it with salads. They also gave us flatbread & hummus. Since our tour group is from Asia, they gave us rice to eat with the fish. Overall they serve great food but I think the price is quite expensive. Great atmosphere & decor. They have a pretty aquarium decor ❤️
Sophia A — Google review
Best food we had in Galilee area. Beef and lamb kebabs were cooked perfectly, grilled denis (sea bream), tabbouleh, labneh
Hyan K — Google review
My guess is if you're eating here you are on a tour group... If someone asks you if you want to order a Peter's fish, you should unfriend that person. I saw a few non tourist groups here, so some locals seem to eat here. I really want to believe that there are good options here, but I didn't have them. It might be better to order as a smaller group.
Patrick L — Google review
Spacious restaurant with tasteful decorations. Everyone seemed to be eating the same specialty dish ~ St. Peter's fish / tilapia. The fish was delicious although just pan-fried with salt. No earthy taste in its flesh at all. Comes with a side of fries, and the typical middle eastern salads. Spiced coffee was pretty interesting too. The fresh dates were good too.

This was definitely a great little gem we found on our way back to Haifa! It was fresh, delicious. The only downside was the prices. Pretty steep but overall was happy with my meal! Would go again!

Everything was clean including the bathroom. Food was good. Arabia Coffee was great with a hint of cardamom.

Came here as a group. The hummus is the best I’ve ever had. Salad is delicious and plenty. The main course is good but the service is very attentive.

A good example of a tourist trap. Mediocre food for crazy prices. Frozen fish for the price of fresh, 1 beer 6 USD... We were taken there with our excursion tour with no option of choice. I have to admit the service was pretty efficient and quick considering the place was packed. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant at all.
Pau E — Google review
Decent buffet, my sister and her daughter had "Peter's Fish", my sister loved it and said it was cooked well, but her daughter said it had a strange taste lol, she never had tilapia before. I am a vegetarian and I had plenty of options of salad and vegetables and crunchies, it was fine. Good fast service of the mains.
Eileen W — Google review
We had our lunch at this nice restaurant. Gracious host, friendly staff, and quick service. They have fresh salads and vegetables that's a perfect pair with the crispy fried St. Peter's fish. Coffee was served after lunch plus dates as our desserts.
Kay.Tolentino G — Google review
The appeal here is the St. Peter's Fish. I don't like fish, so I got the chicken, it was good but nothing special. My wife got the fish and was not impressed, okay at best she says. Price was pretty spendy for what you got as well. Right near the Sea of Galiee you're paying for the experience that you are getting the same fish out of the sea that Peter and the boys were catching back in the day. If you want that experience go for it, if not, hard pass.
Kyle B — Google review
Great food, lots of options to choose from, lovely classy set up, fast service, large rooms and sitting enough for large groups. Would recommend you try out their "Peter's" fish if it's your first time of visiting
Bukie G — Google review
Great food and service. We had lunch here after visiting Banius and Capernaum. The salad bar is excellent. Peter's fish is a fried talipa. We were served with coffee and palm dates. Even though it is not cheap, l highly recommend this place.

My favorite restaurant by the Sea Of Galilee . As an Israeli Tour Guide i love it and always bring my tourists here ,try and share large variety of dishes. Enjoy!!!

Had a very good meal, dishes were all beautifully presented and delicious. We shared a nice bottle of chardonnay, several of the first courses, enjoyed 3 mains and shared desert. My only comment is the price, it's quite an expensive restaurant.

Wow! This was hands down the best restaurant I’ve had in a very long time. Every single dish was absolutely perfect , , each one somehow even better than the last. The flavors were incredible, fresh, and full of creativity. On top of that, the service was flawless and fast, friendly, and truly made the whole experience even more special. Without a doubt, a solid 5-star experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Magdalena! One of the best restaurant in the Galilee. Modern cuisine with local Arab touch. The restaurant is very beautiful and the atmosphere is very peaceful. The service is excellent and the food is so delicious! ;)

Total surprise. We came without any expectations and we were really surprised. Food was delicious. Service was great. The Labrak fish was excellent dish as all the rest. Will be back for sure
Idai O — Google review
Had much higher expectations from reading the reviews and how the restaurant is presented. Also for such prices, I expected something phenomenal but the food was just good and nothing spectacular, and the service was just alright. There were A LOT of waiters, but we could get help only from our one waiter that was assigned to our table. In conclusion, for us the experience was not worth the price (700 shekels for a couple).
Anna Y — Google review
We had lunch here on the way to River Jordan from Capernaum. The food is of very good quality. The fish was fresh and the lamb meat was well seasoned and properly cooked that it remains juicy. Staff were helpful and our main meals were served altogether as you would expect in a premium restaurant. We spent 2 hours here as we enjoyed the setting and the view. In terms of price, you would expect to pay a bit more considering the area and the ambience this restaurant provides. We had a fantastic meal. The restaurant is located on the upper floor, lift on site. The toilets were clean in keeping with the premium feel.

Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Mahane Yehuda Market, Burger Market has quickly become a must-visit destination for burger lovers in Jerusalem. This trendy spot offers an impressive selection of thick, juicy patties paired with a variety of toppings, from savory portobello mushrooms to luxurious foie gras. Diners can choose between classic fries or crispy sweet potato fries, making every meal customizable and delicious.
One of the best value for money places i have been in a while. The meat just melts in your mouth, the place has a great vibe, clean and well decorated. Enjoy!
Inbal P — Google review
Very average to low grade burger, they don’t give any extra attention to make it something worth going back to. I personally don’t think they have much returning customers for the above reasons and with the amount of good places to eat I would find a better place next time in the area.
Adam J — Google review
I arrived at the store on a Saturday evening If you are hungry and want good service this is not the place for you do yourself a favor and get out of there June 21, 2025 at 11pm The cashier was very rude, sat there with her friends who tried to make fun of us I paid her for an order - then she said I didn't pay and didn't send the order. After 2 hours we received the order after arguing תתרחק !!! Stay away.
צדק א — Google review
Burger Market in the Mahane Yehuda Market offers a solid burger and good beer. The service is generally good, and the atmosphere is lively. However, the fries aren’t the best, and as someone who lives nearby, I find the noise levels quite high and sometimes uncomfortable. There’s also a strong smell coming from the food — vegetables and meat — that rises into the residential areas. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a bite, but the environment could be a bit more considerate of the neighbors.
Tamir C — Google review
The most disgusting service I have ever received. I bought there 3 times prior, enjoyable food, especially when at work. today, I ordered exactly the same thing, and when I got it, I got a cardboard in the middle of it. Now, I'm all for there being cardboard if the bun is a dry bun with no sauces, but the bun was full of sauces, so the cardboard is right up in my food, with the sauces on it as you can see in the pics. When I called to complain, they said they always send their burgers that way, to which I responded that it is not correct, I have ordered a few times prior and never had this. Until wolt got a response from them, I was hungry, the burger was stone cold, and they refused, any compensation or a remake, all they did was shouted back at me, a fully paying customer and refused to do anything and hung up the phone. I have the call recorded, so it can be heard at a later stage. Also when I commented on their facebook, they sent me a message asking for my number to discuss, to which I responded with it, and of course I got no response at all. Their service sucks, I will never buy there again, and due to their and Wolt's service in reference to this, I withdrew my membership to Wolt+ and have closed my account with them. The fact that Wolt, the company I ordered through, couldn't deal with it, they lost a customer, who's average day had a spend of between 150 and 500 shekels.
Yossi F — Google review
Absolutely the best veggie burger I have ever eaten... the fries are unique it’s a combination of French fires and crisps, A MUST! they bake the buns as well so that’s well appreciated and above all the vide just invites you to come in and enjoy

Hey guys, ok then so if you're looking for an Israeli place and a good burger this is the place. Beautiful design of the place, and the hamburger is tasty and cheap. NIS 49 for hamburger drinks and fries. And on the way you can enjoy good Israeli music. Enjoy and bon appetit. 🍔🍻

Chophouse restaurant
Angus Meats is a popular dining spot in Israel, offering a variety of delicious options for families and carnivores alike. The menu features Angus burgers, steaks, chicken wings, and Middle Eastern dishes at reasonable prices. The 200g fresh hamburger with amintal cheese and beef bacon comes highly recommended. While the service could be improved, the meals are served quickly and are of good quality. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and welcoming to customers.
We eat here very often, take away or sitting down, we enjoy every single time that we're here! The hamburgers are delicious, the steaks are great, every dish really is just sooo good and the service is amazing! Couldn't recommend this place enough!
Juoku S — Google review
I was quiet happy with the quality of the food they served. I find the area of service could be improved, hence the 4 stars. But they served the meals very quick, and the quality was also good. Everything is expansive in Israel, so don’t be shocked about the price. The price is moderate bearing in mind the cost of living in Israel.
John K — Google review
Great meat restaurant and wonderful staff. Maria was so invited and shiny to us like we were in our loving home. She recommended to us the great food and everything was delicious indeed. Don't you miss the best food in town.
CHRIST K — Google review
Me and my girlfriend came for a vacation in the kineret and found this place by coincidence, needless to say, we were not disappointed, the meat is really good, the prices were good, better actually then most restaurants. There was also a gluten free bun which was good. Good staff and good food. Hopefully I will come here again sometime.
Matan D — Google review
Food was part of a tour stop. You felt a bit like cattle being herded. I had the kababos my wife the filet. Not anything impressive to speak of. The price was $25 or 90 shekels quite high in our opinion for the quality. The salad bar was the best part.
Shawn W — Google review
Last thing I expected as a Texan was to find a restaurant in Israel that specialized in American burgers. Nevertheless, my parents and I were blown away when we stopped here for lunch. The menu contains gluten free + vegan options, which was fantastic because of my parents' dietary restrictions. Our server was able to cater to us whenever we had any questions or concerns, and was overall very helpful. I ordered the burger with hazelnuts and fried egg (I have forgotten the name, and can't read Hebrew on the mobile website to find it ☹️). The burger reminded me of one I ironically ate in San Antonio - completely greasy, but absolutely delicious. I couldn't put my burger down for good reason! My parents had the lamb veal (lamb sausage?) and a gluten free burger, and they were happy with their choices too. Overall, I would highly recommend Angus Meats. The people really cared with serving us and for making sure the food turned out the way we wanted it. Whether you're from Texas or not, I think you'll be satisfied with eating here.
Caleb R — Google review
Had an Angus Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Well done!! ❤️ It’s worth the drive. My previous post: I’d show you my food, but it’s gone. Food is reasonably priced for Indoor eating in Israel. Families eat here. Hamburgers, steaks, chicken wings, Middle East food too but not a “middle eastern restaurant. Recommend “the carnivore” a 200g fresh hamburger with amintal cheese and beef ‘bacon’.
Coleen B — Google review

Nestled just a stone's throw from the serene waters of the Sea of Galilee, Ali's Restaurant is a delightful stop for lunch after an enchanting boat ride. Kosher restaurant
The Holy land trip included a visit to Hilik's Junction, a kosher restaurant located at a roadside stop. The group of 250 people arrived in seven large buses and were pleased to find that the restaurant had prepared sandwiches in advance. While the shawarma was a bit soggy and fell out of the large sandwich, it was still enjoyable. The price for a sandwich with soda was $13. The limited toilet facilities were friendly but unimpressive.
Outdoor eating with a roof. Good food, friendly service, and the guy in charge speaks English. My wife and I shared the schnitzel and it was a good light lunch which is what we were looking for. This is a go to place.
Michael H — Google review
The owner of this restaurant has no pride in their property. There is trash everywhere and no one seems to care about anything but taking your money. Our tour group operator brought us here and I later recommended that he no longer give them business. I've been to 40 countries and have never seen a place so poorly maintained. As you walk in there are discarded bread baskets of rotting food and trash next to the front steps. How difficult is it to clean up your own property to attract customers and keep away disease? The response I got is "that's Israel" and "you can't criticize or you'll start a war". Bottom line: bring a box lunch if you tour the Sea of Galilee.
Drew B — Google review
I had the "Jesus" fish, which I believe is tilapia from the Sea of Galilee. It was very good. I dined with people from my tour group. I brought back lasting memories. Bring the kids...

Super impressed with צומת חיליק - great prices, kosher, fresh food, and hands down the best actually authentic falafel I’ve had in a long time. We also got shawarma and schnitzel—both delicious, huge portions with tons of salads/accompaniments. The staff were amazing, kind, and helpful without us even asking (particularly the person who took our order and set everything up for us) Plus, they speak Hebrew, English, and Arabic, so it was really easy to communicate. It was so good we ordered takeout for shabbat as well. Definitely worth stopping by, we'll be back

Expensive, and felt like being herded in and out with little regard for the experience. I don't know what other options are around but this place was not ideal. If I remember correctly it was 20$ for a Peta falafel. I found one shop downtown Jerusalem that was 4$ and a far superior product. Not really you will have any other option if your on a tour but if you bring your own snacks along you may want to sit this one out.

Holy land trip. 7 large buses. Large enough to take 250 people at a time without problems. Our group called ahead and sandwiches were ready when we arrived. My shawarma was a bit soggy but large with the stuffing falling out. price with soda was $13. Limited toilet facilities. Friendly. Roadside stop that was unimpressive. Lots of other food available

Good food, fast service. Our bus driver took us here. Seems like they herd many tour buses through this place. Generally, I prefer places that don't attract piles of bus groups.

Extremely rude staff. St Peter fish was not given to all. Will never recommend this place to anyone. They are rude to people of colour

*Best food in Galilee* Beautiful decoration inside, a nice outside area for eating, water pipe, kids play area (no climbing frame, but toys). The food is excellent. You pay a higher "Salad base rate" than some other restaurants around but higher quality and some extra types of salads than the usual suspects. Friendly owner and staff.
