The restaurant HaAri 8 is extraordinary in terms of its cuisine and ambiance. The food is exceptional, creating an enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere exudes a sense of relaxation and tranquility, providing the perfect setting for couples to converse comfortably at their tables. The service is prompt and efficient, with each waiter attentively catering to every need. The mixed grill for two stands out both in terms of taste and value. Desserts are equally impressive, delivering delightful surprises to diners.
Amazing food amazing atmosphere, relaxing mood, quiet enough to allow couples talk around the table. Quick and efficient service. All the waiters gave us attention one by one, bringing everything we asked. The mixed grill for two is great by taste and great value. Desert was amazing and surprising. The Cabernet sauvignon by Dalton winery is amazing.

I was expecting better. Prices are high, we got a lot of apologies on missing things we wanted from the menu. The burger was good but the Syrian kebab was very oily and the tahini was just as decoration aside. The place air was too smelly and our clothes were left with heavy smell.
Yehonatan G — Google review
If you’re in Tzfat you will not want to miss this restaurant! Amazing Israeli mixed grill and tons of great appetizers and salads. Atmosphere is nice but homey. True authentic IS food, great staff too!
Nathan M — Google review
The place is well decorated and spacious. Several dishes are offered, important to know this is a kosher restaurant. The sandwiches are well served and tasty. Staff is kind and English menu is available. The service can be a bit slow but is reasonable.

We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant today. The place itself very quit , with good not annoying music and has unique look. Service was great , food delivered quickly - all was very good , but the food , food was terrific . No I mean really , really tasty. We came from the Tel Aviv and visited many restaurants in many places , but the dishes here were really tasty. They made this sunny and wonderful day really perfect. Thank you very much! Alexander
Alexander K — Google review
Definitely a real gem in this city. Nice and warm staff and service. Really good food ! The steak was fabulous and I remind you thus is a Kosher restaurant which means they do not use butter. The roast eggplant was devine and the wine section was good although they work with a single winery. Well done !!

Nestled in a breathtaking location, Gan Eden is more than just a B&B; it’s an enchanting escape that feels like stepping into a dream. With stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Galilee region, and the majestic Golan Heights framed by northern mountains, this place radiates magic. The picturesque landscape resembles a surreal painting brought to life by an artist's brush. Complementing this idyllic setting are two charming Mongolese-style white tents that add to its allure.
I don't like to be negative about a local restaurant but despite the delicious cakes and desserts on offer, on the two occasions I have visited the portions on my salad plate were particularly ungenerous and the price seemed rather high. I left the restaurant unsatisfied.

Vegetarian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Tzfat's Old Jewish Quarter, Tree of Life Cafe is a charming dairy restaurant that has become a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. Located at Kikar HaMeginim, a historic square once bustling with pre-State Haganah fighters, this cafe offers an inviting atmosphere where you can soak in the vibrant life of Safed.
The Tree of Life is one of Safed's best-kept secrets. Nestled inside the Old City walls, this unassuming little cafe boasts some of the best home-cooked vegetarian food around, lovingly prepared and served with a smile. We ordered the quinoa salad and quesadillas and they were absolutely delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and bursting with flavor. The owner, Faigy, was even kind enough to share the recipe/cooking method with us! I'll definitely be coming back for seconds the next time I'm in town. 😋
Yoni H — Google review
Tree of life is a great location for fresh fruit, veggies, salads and general healthy feel good food. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner and I have it a 4-Star because they didn’t have any watermelon available and there is a big poster advertising a watermelon cooler.

The restaurant is known for its locally sourced and delicious food, with specialties like meat tartar and Beef Filet Medallions. The staff provides warm and friendly service, making guests feel welcome. We were a party of 8 plus a baby, and no one had anything bad to say. The atmosphere is unique and exciting, the food is perfectly cooked and there is a big variety of choice, the farm itself and the horses is a kid friendly activity.

tr;dl The best place around to dine, it aint cheap but the food deserves a pay raise and so does the workers, the view is just amazing! On Saturday we were looking for a place to lunch, me and my gf opted for bat yaar favoring the view and the food that seemed amazing. When we arrived, we were pleasently welcomed and recieved a specious table. Unfortunately the a/c didnt work but the waitress was very nice and handled it amazingly. We told them about it in a survey after dining and we received a personal message informing us it has been fixed and that they are sorry, which is unheard of, to recieve such personal care. We both ordered burgers, i had the 480 gr. with emental and onions, my gf the 220 gr. and we shared the tomato salad. Everything was delicious and the medium was medium like i asked and the coffee afterwards was really good quality. We want to thank our waitress which was very funny and helpful (she gave my little dog a bowl of water and cucumber to munch on) the shift manager was very welcoming and friendly.
Shai M — Google review
A wonderful restaurant! For starters, we had the charred artichoke and the tomato salad – both generous and delicious. For the main course, we ordered the porterhouse, cooked perfectly and evenly, juicy and full of flavor. The cheesecake for dessert was average. The service was excellent, and the private carriage dining experience was interesting and unique, though a bit unnecessary in my opinion. All in all – a great place with excellent food and a special atmosphere.
Dror L — Google review
We arrived on a Tuesday at the Passover holiday, place packed, you should order reservations, it was chilly so you should bring a coat on. the staff was very nice , and gave us a warm welcome. The waitress Sarah was lovely. We ordered the stew and it was great! Also the carry Vegetables (tofu was a bit dry/hard), veggies were on point. The steak was great- made medium. There was actually a problem with the dish cause it fall on the floor and was made again, so we got a really yummy chaser of “mair chaser” - tropical Flavored and a “lettuce steak” which is a chunk of lettuce with dressing on it and crashed walnuts, on the house as a consolation. For dessert we ordered apple crumble which was delicious with a side of vanilla ice cream and berries. Will return Toilet designed as a Horse stables and has a dressing station פינת החתלה for parents -bonus!
Miri Z — Google review
The food was amazing & all the employees were great too! one thing that i found pretty bad for a restaurant was the fact that they brought us a starter salad, gnocchis & steak all at once. they did not give us a second to between the dishes, all at once. for the price and level of the restaurant i would expect some more tact from the staff to space out the food. it felt as if they wanted to rush us out before we even put a bite in our mouth. it also gave the impression that everything was just sitting there & food wasnt fresh. regardless the food was really good & the steak was cooked perfectly. i would go back and emphasize to NOT bring all the food you ordered in a span of one minute.
Netali — Google review
Came here after a 30 min drive from our b&b. It was actually a disappointing experience. The service was not great, the sun was frying us through the window and although we asked to close the shade (it didn’t work from a first try) multiple times, there was no help. The food was disappointing as well. 2/4 dishes were nice - the artichoke (although it was drowning in oil) and the beef gnocchi (but some of the meat was a bit hard). I didn’t like the stew, it tasted mostly like cumin. The carpaccio was the worst, it was unchewable and that sealed the bad experience. Overall, I left the restaurant hungry which never happened to me before. The place isn’t cheap so the value for money here was extremely low for our experience.
Ilana S — Google review
My partner and I recently had dinner at this restaurant and we were amazed by the food and service. We started with the meat tartar, recommend to as by our waiter, Liad. It was one of the specials and was incredibly flavorful and had the perfect texture. For our main courses, my partner had the Beef Filet Medallions with Gnocchi and I had the 9 hour asado. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. To top off our meal, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert of malabi, which was a perfect ending to our meal. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
Yuval — Google review
Hot and noisy. That's the memory I'll take away from this place. The view seems obsolete compared to the chaos of the service. Dessert never arrived, and we left a little disappointed. The burger was ok. I didn't taste the aioli, the shinnitzel was as it should be.

Diners rave about the unique twists on classic favorites like hummus, veggie burgers, and even homemade ice cream. The menu is refreshingly diverse, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy without feeling limited.
Highly recommend!! We had a large family Shabbat in Tsfat and Zev made us customized great salads for all of our meals. The portions were generous, fresh, healthy and very tasty. We also had the chocolate ice cream and it was delicious. Zev was happy to adjust the food according to our needs and preferences. All in all, ordering from Zev was a good choice.

Most incredible gluten free healthy veggie burger. Filled with fried onions, veggies and the most delicious pesto it had All the flavors and I hope to be back soon!!

Zev and Eli have the coolest vegan restaurant around. Walking in you are greeted by a tantalizing aroma of spices, the atmosphere is totally zen and they have an incredible menu. These guys are legit and everything you come to Tzfat for!
Zish M — Google review
Came here for a quick lunch and got to enjoy a salad with hummus and delicious gluten free crackers. It was so good we went back for a smoothie a few hours later!
Julia L — Google review
Although out of ordinary business hours, Zev was nice enough to let us have early dinner at his restaurant and we weren’t disappointed in the slightest! It’s a refreshing experience to have a menu where everything is gluten free and vegan, and my girlfriend enjoyed not being restricted to only a dish or two. Speaking of the dishes, they were incredible! We started off with two huge bowls of orange soup and Indian dal, followed by two excellent veggie burgers with homemade tomato chutney. The food was freshly made on the spot by Zev, who was an entertaining host throughout the entire evening and made us feel welcome for the entirety of our 2.5-hour stay. The highlight of the evening was definitely the vegan ice cream, which was creamy and indistinguishable in texture from dairy ice cream. We took the vegan cheese cake and brownies to eat later on our trip, and they were excellent as well. I recommend coming and giving this lovely little cafe a try, and I recommend doing it during the quieter time of day so you can experience Zev as well as the food!
Jonathan S — Google review
Very delicious food, great variety of different colorful dishes with their own spin on it, very natural and unique. We tried the hummus, the veggie burger, the pizza, Indian stir fry, spring rolls, home made ice cream, and chocolate dates. To drink we had the house smoothie, homemade almond milk, and ginger ale, and ginger shots all around. Everything was delicious and made in a way that I've never seen anywhere else. The owner is also super friendly and a great guy to shmooze with. I would definitely recommend!
Shmuel S — Google review
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. We had the Indian curry vegetables with quinoa. Delicious. And so was the tomatoes chutney. The owner was so friendly and helpful. The air conditioning provided a nice respite from the heat. We will definitely be back to try the vegan ice cream. Portions were generous. We took home the leftovers.
Sandie K — Google review
My two young daughters and I had the best experience here! The food was really delicious, they were so nice. They really went above and beyond to be so sweet to the girls, even putting on some of the owner's favorite children's music. Ask for some persimmon pudding...yum!

The menu features kosher dairy options, especially delicious during holiday seasons like Passover. The most fantastic of experiences! The view is beautiful and the waitress was simply amazing! Attentive, quick and very helpful. To say the food was delicious is really an understatement! Everything came at a decent time and it was just the best we've had. Made our day very happy! Hope to return with more family.
Liv K — Google review
After ordering meals for my sons and a smoked salmon bagel for myself, the bagel arrived just as my sons were finishing their food. The bagel and all of the contents had been toasted. This was NOT a toasted sandwich. And the menu gave no indication that this was the case. After explaining to the very understanding waitress (twice), the owner came over to our table, screamed at me and my sons and told us to get out of the restaurant. So basically it was an awful experience.
Michael K — Google review
Honest review here… my wife and I went on a Saturday night and was first drawn in by the vibes, music, the energy. I’d give that a 5/5 But the service was a bit messy. And more importantly I just felt like the food was meh. However, I’m not sure where in tsfat you’d get good food on a Saturday night so relatively speaking we were okay with everything. Just don’t expect some high end food. It’s more of a standard dairy spot. Hope you enjoy
Nate S — Google review
I really enjoyed eating here. And their portions are really, really large. We bought four dishes for four people and had lots left over. I liked the Greek salad and the falafel plate the best (though it was all good). The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful.
Alan — Google review
We walked in around 14:30 for some coffee and a snack. It was not particularly busy but the staff just walked right past us and paid us no attention whatsoever. We got our own menus and finally got a waitress' attention to order. The coffee was not particularly good and the schnitzel chalumi burger was mediocre. It took a while to get the food because the guy who appeared to be the chef kept bringing in bags of stuff from outside (I guess a delivery?) Overall, it was not a particularly pleasant experience although the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere (if you disregard the cold shoulders from the staff). There are definitely better cafes with better food and attentive staff in Tzfat.
Natania C — Google review
The food was decent. Very fresh ingredients but lacked flavor and salt. Staff could improve a bit but overall was a decent meal
Chef P — Google review
One of the best restaurants in the North. Their staff is always well staffed, so there is always someone available when you need something, and they're very pleasant and happy. The food has great portions, and is cooked to perfection. Everything is full of flavor, and even the dessert is a culinary experience. The entrance is small, so make sure not to miss it, but when you walk in it opens up, and the back sits on the mountain with the best view in the city.

Amazing Yemenite food. At first you think maybe but it’s worth it. It is one of the best options in the area. The Yemenite crepe is very unique and should be an experience for all. I heard some complaints. No menu or prices on anything. So here is my take on pricing. Depending on your toppings it ranges from 30-40 shekel a sandwich. I know that the mozzarella option was 10 shekels cheaper than the goat and sheep milk cheese. Otherwise best sandwich I had that day. And the hot sauce is amazing.

If you find yourself wandering the streets, make sure to stop by Falafel Arafe, a beloved falafel stand that has been delighting taste buds since 1959. Known for its freshly fried falafel balls, this family-run gem attracts a steady stream of customers eager to savor its offerings. The secret lies in their efficient preparation and the quality of ingredients used.
I don't typically order falafel, as all the falafel I've had in the past was on the dry side, but this place obviously knows what they're doing! We were told by some locals that this was the best place to get falafel, and we were not disappointed. They're pros, and you can tell just by watching them make fresh batches before your eyes.

The Perfect Falafel Pita SO delicious! This was the best falafel pita I have ever eaten, straight out. The falafel was fresh out of the fryer and they give you a lot of them. The toppings were all first rate, especially the purple pickled mystery vegetable. These guys crank them out so it is all fresh and they do know what they are doing. They are also super friendly and were really helpful to us English speakers. To top it off they are only 15 shekels! This is the best deal I've had in Israel. I want another one right now. They close up around 4 each day so plan to visit it them for lunch during your stay here.

The air conditioning ensures optimal comfort, particularly appreciated by those who enjoy cooler temperatures.
This was our 1st time eating at this fine establishment which is completely Kosher. You have choices of sandwiches or a does it sandwiches or a buffet and the air conditioner is quite comfortable as my followers will know that I love cold air conditioning. We don't live here in the city but it appears that they have a brisk take out menu for Thursdays and Fridays

I recently visited and ordered a steak, which wasn’t exactly how I wanted it. I didn’t even ask for a replacement—just made a small expression—and before I could say a word, the staff brought me a new one. The replacement was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. I truly appreciated their attentiveness and care for customer satisfaction!

I was surprised to find a place like that in Tzfat. Kosher, but really tasty. Slow-cooked beef was great, chicken and vegetables soups were delicious as well. The service was very fast and the staff is really helpful and friendly. It’s better to reserve in advance, it gets pretty busy in the end of the week

Best meat meal I’ve had in israel in years! Lovely hostess and great waiter, very simple tables and chairs, decor is deceiving- the food is fresh innovative and portions nice sized. Hope they will open branches all over!

Fantastic restaurant in Safed (area which didn’t seem to have a lot of great options) and we were really glad to have found this place. Amazing meats. We got the ribs which they’re know for, mashed potatoes and green beans (we shared one order which was enough for us). Service was also very good - the waiter took time to explain the menu to us thoroughly and encouraged us to go for what they’re known for, which was the right decision!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in Tzfat, look no further than This charming eatery has truly mastered the art of serving up delicious hummus that is both simple and incredibly flavorful. The pita bread is a standout, perfectly complementing their fresh salads and crispy falafel. The rustic decor creates a warm atmosphere, enhanced by soothing jazz music that makes your meal even more enjoyable.
First time I’m leaving a review and it’s because this place deserves it. It seems that they’ve done everything right; the hummus (simple but delicious), the pita bread (somehow it’s delicious), the chili, their rustic deco and soothing jazz music. All at a very affordable price :) the owners are pleasantly hospitable and served with a smile. I don’t know them but really hope they’ll do well!

Great spot for Hummus! My friend and I got here today just as they were closing, and they gave us the best service ever 😇 We had great hummus, very good falafel, in generally decent prices and great service. I would say though that the Sahawiq was not spicy enough in my opinion. Thank you very much!

The Tree of Life is one of Safed's best-kept secrets. Juvani Restaurant.Bar is a hidden gem in the hills of lower Galilee, offering a unique fusion of Italian and Arabic cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on excellent food and exceptional service, making guests feel truly welcomed. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, including a balcony and yard for shisha enthusiasts, the restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying their delectable dishes.
You want to go here!! We came here when we were up north celebrating my birthday a couple weeks back. This place is a gem, not only do they have excellent food, but their service is a lost art. They make you feel so welcomed, as if they actually want you to stay and have a good time. There is a non-smoking place inside, and also a balcony and yard to sit outside and smoke or order one of their excellent nargilas (hookah). The owner is very nice and his staff is so friendly and cares that you have a good time. Every small detail in the food and service is thought of and given the highest priority. We spent almost 3 hours here, enjoying the music and food in every relaxed atmosphere. The music is random so you never get tired of what's playing. I am positive we will pass here every time we go up north. Highly recommended!

The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the breakfast for two and mushroom pizza. The place is very nice, with beautiful view, but the service was VERY slow. The place was not too busy, we came for a quick coffee that took 45 minutes between getting the waitresses' attention, getting the menu, ordering, getting served (with the wrong coffe) and waiting for the check. Eventually we just got up and paid at the register. Without the view I would give a 2 star rating.

I stopped by for a private event, so I believe that the place was quite altered from its original state. Yet I thought the space was gorgeous and the guy working the bar was kind and accommodating. It's not easy to find this place tucked in the labyrinth of abandoned rooms which once used to be shops and restaurants. The only hints you get are the signs on the street outside the restaurant. Although the waiter had a hard time with English, he was kind and eager to help me to make my order. I couldn’t have imagined enjoing a hot beverage on a hot day, but I actually did. To match the coffee I chose a pistachio cake which was served with strawberry jam. I recommend this place if you’re getting tired of the scorching sun and feel the need to relax

Cafe
Israeli restaurant
Nestled in the historic city of Safed, Café Bagdad offers a delightful culinary experience that perfectly blends cozy ambiance with vibrant flavors. This charming café boasts a prime location with stunning views of Tzefat, making it an ideal spot for people-watching while enjoying your meal. Diners rave about the fresh salads and exceptional falafel, while the homemade bread is a standout favorite.
Cool spot in a central location overlooking Tzefat. We liked the salads. Pizza was nothing special, but the falafel was excellent. The vegetable soup was great too. You will need to dress your own salads. The shakshuka was good, but not the best I've had. The homemade bread was awesome. It was expensive, maybe 780 shekel for a group of 6 adults and 3 babies.

Waited literally over an hour and half to get the wrong dish. Pasta was mid at best. Pizza was maybe the worst I've ever had. Staff were not apologetic at all I win Karen of the week

Meh.. The bread was the best part of the meal. Service was alright but took a while. The views are awesome!

Enjoyed a lunch at the Bagdad cafe. Chose a light meal of the Bagdad Salad. Lettuce with warm vegetabes mixed with shredded Bulgarian Cheese. Highly reccomend it. Size was more than enough. This came with a warm mini loaf of crusty bread which was fantastic. Very much enjoyed the view, service and especially the food.

After an half hour to order I waited another half hour just then the waitress told me she forgot to put in the order and we can’t order anymore because the kitchen is already closed she didn’t even bother to apologize just said in Hebrew “my mistake“ what’s for sure very not recommended in busy hours

We had a nice lunch here. Coffee and blintzes and French fries. Helpful service.

A great streetside people-watching cafe' and the amazing mountain view from a covered, heated perch with your coffee in hand is a treat.

200 shekels for three awful meals. Not worth it at all. Egg was a very weird color. Ravioli was probably frozen and just heated up. Toast was hard & dry. Server was nice (not her fault) but still took forever for the food to come out. I am not one to complain but I personally wouldn’t come back !

This place is amazing, great food and service, generous portions and fair pricing. We asked the waitress to call the chef to let him know we enjoyed but only his helper was there, a young guy who knows what he’s doing, must visit if you’re in Safed.

My wife and my son and his fiance ate dinner at this wonderful restaurant a couple of nights ago. We enjoyed our meal immensely. The food was excellent and served in large portions. The staff was attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great meal in Tzfat (Safed)

Excellent restaurant with great food, pleasant atmosphere and nice service. We came earlier before they open evening time. Nevertheless they prepared table and very tasty food. Thanks a lot!

(Translated by Google) A supreme culinary experience! The first courses are very special! Intense flavors and you feel the nuances in every bite, you feel like the tomato was picked today! The bread is simple and oh, the ceviche is simply amazing.... and you can't leave without the ingenious plum cake... Chef Salama not only pink but also took care of a pleasant and happy atmosphere that made the experience for us... The waitress is smiling and stunning and the shift manager was so pleasant and inviting that it was simply a pleasure every moment! In one word! An experience!

(Translated by Google) The place has potential but unfortunately it is far from being realized and I would not return. We sat at the bar and the atmosphere is pretty boring and boring…not what I expected from a bar where the concept is that you sit “with” the cooks. In terms of food - we ordered a lot of starters and dessert. Some of the dishes were delicious, some were nice, and nothing more. Absolutely Not worth the price of the dishes (Original)

(Translated by Google) We are vegetarians and the selection was very limited. The dishes that arrived were okay, we didn't fly, but the price was really excessive compared to what we got. 90 NIS for an average and unsatisfying tortellini dish with the filling still frozen (we pointed this out to the waitress). The service is really bad, it sucks (Original)

(Translated by Google) We were on vacation at the Canaan Hotel on a half-board basis and decided to skip one dinner and go instead to a restaurant outside the hotel. The restaurant itself is not large, and that's part of the beauty in my opinion. The restaurant is built so that the central space is an open kitchen and around it there are places at the bar (with comfortable chairs and at a lower height than standard bar stools, which adds to the comfort). There are a few more single tables inside and outside. We sat at the bar and it was a great experience. After seeing the menu, we realized that we were only going for the first ones, and it turned out to be a super good decision. There is some kind of deal with the hotel that allows you to upgrade the hotel's dinners to dinner at the restaurant for an additional 100 shekels, and this limits the choice to one starter, one main course and a dessert. I don't think it's worth it at all and it's better to skip dinner at the hotel and instead of "upgrading" just go to the restaurant and enjoy your own choice of menu. Every dish was great! Dishes we took and loved: bread and dips, bloody eggplant, baby zucchini, albacore crudo, sea bream kebab. Beautiful, delicious dishes and most importantly - you feel the freshness and quality of each ingredient in the dish! And most of the dishes were delicious, we didn't have time to take pictures and upload pictures of the dishes ;-)... We should mention David the Cannon for the explanations, Noam the friendliness and service and Zohar the champion who gracefully accompanied us in choosing the dishes. Of course, the rest of the team was also super professional, cheerful and helpful. In short, we had a great experience and recommend that anyone in the area come and enjoy a quality chef's restaurant!

(Translated by Google) An amazing experience in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere!!! Amazing, impeccable service. Attention to detail. We had an amazing waiter whose name I don't remember but he made the evening perfect. The food was so delicious that we didn't have time to take pictures of everything. We took about 6 courses + dessert and 2 glasses of wine for 450 shekels. The dishes were of the highest quality and the freshest. Highly recommended. Don't miss the crepe suzette style katif. Even if you're exhausted, take it!! We will definitely be back, highly recommended.
