A beautiful Italian restaurant with a stunning view, and decent pizzas. The pizzas had excellent crusts, but were lacking in taste. The fruit just was also very mild in its taste. It was all fine, but for a price of $13-19 for a pizza, you expect more. The free starter was great though.

Delicious Pizza with a Stunning View We tried the prosciutto pizza and the pesto pizza, and both were enjoyable. As a starter, we were served bread with garlic and chili oil for dipping, which was a nice touch. The pizzas arrived with a perfectly crispy crust that was absolutely delicious. Overall, I liked the pizzas, but I’m giving 4 stars because the flavors were a bit on the bland side and could have used a stronger punch. Also the price for especially the prosciutto pizza was a bit expensive (12.000 colonnes) , so you would expect it to be more flavourful. The location, however, was amazing! The view was breathtaking and definitely added to the overall experience.

What a fantastic surprise to discover such a place deep in Monteverde! Pizzeria Tramonti is a gem – from the moment you arrive, you feel the charm of its refined décor and warm atmosphere. The restaurant sits in a dominant position with breathtaking views over the valley, making the setting as special as the food. There is also a private parking area that is easy and free, which is very convenient. The service is excellent – attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. But the real highlight is the pizza: cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven, with authentic Italian products of great quality. The flavors are superb, the dough perfectly crisp, and the toppings generous and fresh. It’s rare to find such authentic Italian cuisine in Costa Rica, and here it is done beautifully. Dining here feels like a treat, whether you come for a romantic evening or with family. Between the quality of the food, the beautiful surroundings, and the outstanding service, this restaurant is truly worth the visit. This place was super beautiful. We went in the evening and it was super rainy, but I could tell it had an amazing view. The food was fabulous. The people were very efficient and helpful when serving. The atmosphere is really great. The salmon pasta was the best. Looks like they had a good selection of wine. It seems like a really great place to come back to again and again.

The food was absolutely delicious, the portions looked small but they were more than sufficient. The waiters were very kind and the food was ready rather quickly. The view was amazing.

The Green Restaurant in Monteverde is a must-visit! The prices are great, and the portions are absolutely huge—you definitely get your money’s worth here. We ordered the Ribeye Steak and the Steak Panini, both were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The Mixed Carnitas plate was another standout—so much food and incredibly tasty. They also have delicious fruit smoothies, which were refreshing after exploring the town. We loved the outdoor seating area, and the location is perfect, right in the heart of town. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Monteverde!

Quaint little place in town with delish food and quite the choices. David, the owner was so hospitable and had quite the sense of humor! The bread was oh so good and the burger just perfect. Give them a try….you’ll be glad you did!

Our favorite restaurant in monte verde BY FAR. We came here twice in a row and would have come even more times if we stayed in here area longer. The food was so fresh and the portions were huge🤩 for dinner they had a sea bass special with a mussel appetizer. There are also so many gluten free options to choose from!

I have ordered a lot of steaks before.... some being $20 and some being over $100 USD. Their Ribeye steak was hands down the best steak I have ever eaten, especially paired with the chimichurri. My wife got the Tropical burger and said it would have been a crime to not finish it completely. The service was top-notch, he was attentive and extremely funny.

Went in looking for a decent burger after a couple weeks of eating casados . . . this place exceeded expectations. It was pretty full when we arrived—more ticos than tourists—but we got a table outside right away. The burger was favorably on par with my foodie town back home—juicy, with pickles (uncommon here), and came with REAL Heinz-style ketchup. (I love Central America, but the ketchup is . . . not great). Overall good presentation and friendly, helpful staff. AND very reasonably priced. If I was staying in Monteverde longer I’d certainly go back.

When I asked if I needed a reservation (seeing it completely empty) and was told yes definitely, I raised an eyebrow. However by mid evening this tiny restaurant was full and bustling! No wonder as the food was delicious and the service warm and friendly. Our son had buttered pasta and a great lemonade slushy, when we asked for something warmer than the kids ice cream he was given the most delicious warm brownie. My husband and I both had the tropical burgers - sounds so wrong but they were so right. A good mix of sweet and sour! A super place to eat in Santa Elena! Highly recommend.

Decent food but nothing to write home about. Our hotel recommended we check this spot out. We got the vegetarian and chicken Casado. They were both well prepared. The view is okay- we were there on a hot day for lunch and the sun really beats in through the windows making it a bit hot.

Big place with beautiful views. I would t come here for the food but more so for a drink to enjoy the view. Staff was friendly. They have parking. Food was average and a bit disappointing. I got the vegetarian Casado and was expecting to have a more traditional kind of cheese but it was a basic cheddar kind of cheese. Beans were very watery too. Salad was just ok. Soursop drink was good. It seems like big binders come here with their groups.

Very good food and nice restaurant. We sat outside and while it was too cloudy to see much of a view, we did see lots of birds and some butterflies. It was a nice time!

We visited more than once, because everything we had was excellent! Their burgers are huge and juicy, their casados satisfied even our picky kids, and their caramel roll and Morpho coffee dessert were simply fabulous. Plus the interior design and the balcony, absolutely our favorite place for lunch in Monteverde.

Cool restaurant - outside seating to watch the sunset. Indoor seating as well. Upstairs seating very nice - I like the bench seating along the wall. Big windows to see the sun as it goes down.

The food and service is great! We ate here a couple of times and loved everything. I got steak one day and the chicken burger the next. Their frozen watermelon and lemonade were my favorite drinks.

Came for dinner with a tour group. Service was Fantastic!!! Beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce was delish and while the turimsu was great, my friends said the vanilla ice cream was to die for. Beautiful scenery when the clouds aren't so heavy. Great spot for sunset viewing if the weather cooperates.

Been here two nights in a row after reading reviews. Alonso our waiter was very friendly. The food was fantastic with more than adequate portions. There are various TV screens to keep you entertained, a large dance floor should you want to throw some moves and several pool tables downstairs. Great atmosphere whether you want to drink and chat or have a meal. You must visit if you're in Monteverde!!

Seviche was really good, but I didn’t like the ribs, therefore 4 stars. The service was good!

Excellent service (specially Bryan was attentive and great with recommendations). The portions are generous and the traditional we tried were delicious. This was recommended by the locals and the place did not disappoint.

The ambiance and service are great and the food is good but too pricey, otherwise I'd give 5 stars. Unfortunately, you really don't have much of a choice here since this is the only place to eat unless you want to take a crazy bumpy ride in a taxi to town. When I say bumpy, I really mean it ... you have to experience it to see what I mean i.e. pretty rocky road, 'literally'

Everything at Stella’s was amazing! Went back for more items on the menu. We had the chicken sandwich, lasagna,tortilla, pie,trout burrito, pollo en crema, and French toast. All of these dishes were phenomenal but my favorite was chicken and cream! Definitely recommend!

This is a super great breakfast or lunch place! The atmosphere is so calm and beautiful. The service is amazing. The menu is really great. The smoked trout is off the hook great. The omelettes the bagels, everything amazing. The coffee is the best.

Food was so good! Got the pesto pasta and it was so flavorful and creamy. Bread on the side was tasty. The atmosphere was the best. There were so many monkeys and it was lovely to enjoy a meal while seeing them. There was also a dog and it was so sweet, friendly and well behaved. The garden was also nice.

Wow their pancakes are the best I've ever had. Recognizing that pancakes are generally not that exciting of a breakfast option, do not discount this menu item here. This place takes pancakes to the next level. I also enjoyed a fresh smoothie and coffee. Fantastic food, service and overall experience. And there were two playful kittens that came out to play with one another while I was eating so how can you beat that.

Nice restaurant but not many choices for main dishes for vegetarians. We went with a large group as a part of a tour and the food took forever to come for vegetarians. Even the ravioli took a long time to come when others on the table were already done eating their meat dishes so I found it very unorganized for a large group. Other people in the group eating beef and fish enjoyed their meal. So I would not recommend for vegetarians. Others maybe fine.and not a good place for a large group. Because the food came out at all different times. And some people had to wait for a long time. The desserts were also not any special, the appetizer was okay.

This place is in the hotel poco a poco and well built. It has a large dinning room with multiple sections as well as outdoor seating. Our stay here accompanied with free breakfast and it is a dine in type of menu. There were about 7 breakfast options to choose from. They provided fresh fruits, juice and a choice of coffee or tea. A great experience, would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The restaurant was beautiful with different musical elements and Costa Rican animal decor. The food was outstanding! I couldn't recommend it more. The service really made us feel incredibly looked after and anticipated our needs before we needed to ask for anything. Anthony in particular is a credit to the team - such a friendly and attentive waiter.

The burrata was very disappointing, it was firm on the inside. We had the homemade ice tea, but it was too sour for our taste. All you could taste was lemon. Staff were very friendly.

The Hotel was excellent, we can't fault it. It's in a fab location in the Cloud Forest, very close to all the amenities and attractions. Highly recommend the zipline through the amazing forest. The staff at the hotel again were excellent, very attentive and the breakfast and food in the restaurant was 5 star, Anthony our waiter deserves a special mention. This place comes highly recommended, wish we could have stayed longer.

This place is amazing! You feel like you’re having lunch or coffee in someone’s garden home. Food was delicious. Had the breakfast club sandwich and it was a generous portion. Coffee was great too. Our server was so nice and gave us good recommendations to try the desserts and we ended up having the pistachio,raspberry & white chocolate cookie and the chocolate chip cookie and they were both amazing. Highly recommend this cafe/restaurant

We had an incredible breakfast with some delicious lattes this morning. Steven was our server and he was great very attentive. Even gave some advice with some recommendations for easier areas to go hike. The portions were very generous, we got the breakfast sandwich and quesadillas. Definitely would go back as we didn’t have room for dessert.

I can not say enough good things about this restaurant! It has great quality food and the staff are always so receptive! If you’re looking for great value for your money go to Orchid. They also have great veggie options.

This is a nice cozy spot to grab lunch in Monteverde. It’s got spacious outdoor and indoor seating and you’re right next to the orchid gardens if you want to visit. Our server was super nice and able to point out all the gluten free options and he made sure to accommodate our group’s dietary restrictions too! Their pumpkin soup transported me right back to autumn in the states.

Updating from 4 to 5 stars because we came back for breakfast and WOW the pancakes ~$10 were amazing. Super fluffy! Coffee and empanadas really good too. Central location, solid food. Rather touristy but a good option for anyone looking for American food. Reasonable prices.

This was our favorite restaurant in Santa Elena and the Monteverde region. We ate here everyday on our 5 day trip. We had the Charizo Sandwich, Gallo Pinto (multiple times), Huevos Rancheros, and Chicharrones.

It's currently getting into the rainy season, so it was really slow the night we visited. My husband and I both got a dry aged t-bone and enjoyed it. I thought the meat was good, but it was a little tougher than I'd like. If you like steak, you should try it. All apparently from the owners' farm and grass fed. Very nice people there.

We came here two out of the three nights we spent in Monteverde. The service was incredible and the food and drinks were very good. We stayed for all of happy hour the first day and tried nearly all of their cocktails. It was walking distance from our hotel, and right next door to the supermarket. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made great recommendations. After dinner we sat outside with our drinks and enjoyed the weather and people watching. We'd highly recommend this place for dinner (or just happy hour!) if you're in the area!!

My wife and I had a very pleasant dinner here last month. Among 16 dinners that we ate in Monteverde, Samara, and Playa Hermosa (Guanacaste) restaurants, this was the most expensive: $104 USD for drinks, entrees, dessert, and coffees for two; our other Monteverde dinner was closer to the average cost, $64 USD. Nevertheless, our food and beverages were quite delicious - especially the scrumptious crepe dessert that we shared - the staff members were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely.

We ordered a 60 USD Tomahawk steak, but only half of it was okay, the rest was chewing gum meet, not eatable. That was not good... however, the supervisor fully understood and brought another steak without additional cost. A very professional reaction from the supervisor. Very much appreciated! Unfortunately, the cook did never show up to apologize.

Great experience. Sat out front on a sunny day with some cocktails and beer. Pizza and mango soup were great. Our server Mario was great. Suggested a local 20 year old rum to end the meal and we kept the bottle as a souvenir.

Wonderful food! We had the Seafood Paella and the ribeye steak medium rare on our first visit. My only nitpick was the shrimp was a little over cooked but the dish was still delicious. The second visit we had a custom pizza that came with four sauces and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. We also tried all the special drinks on the menu, and they were all wonderful. I am actually surprised, I didn’t find a drink I disliked. We also received a 10% discount for coming a second day in a row! A nice little bonus. The severs are friendly and check on you consistently but not too much to be annoying. Our servers were Dennis and Mario. Both were personable but professional, very refreshing, and I’ll be eating here a third time.

Such a wonderful meal! This was a lovely place to relax and enjoy after a day in the cloud forest. The decor is heavy on beautiful wood furnishings, the cocktails are fun and creative, and the food on the grill menu is done perfectly. My husband had the ribeye and I ordered the farm to market grilled vegetable platter. We thoroughly enjoyed both. The staff were friendly, spoke good English (helpful for a not very skilled at speaking Spanish gringo) and attentive. The handled a table of 22 while still giving attention to the smaller tables. The smell and atmosphere pulled us in while walking around in search of a meal, and the promise of the allure did not disappoint!

This young family enjoyed two lunches here. Relaxed jungle view setting in rear, protected from elements, with upmarket furniture for Costa Rica. I had the two (all day breakfast) fruit bowls, which were excellent. The sandwiches, burgers and casados were also great, as were the coffees.

The food here was delicious and both servers who helped us were incredibly friendly and they had a very robust menu with a LOT of options. Their menu was entirely online and accessed via a QR code. They also have free wifi so you can access the menu. The food was very tasty, though it is a little pricey for what it is. Coffee was also pretty dang good. Me and my mom had the iced coffee with chocolate and my brothers both had iced coffees with coconut milk. We shared a Hummus order but it only came with 1 pita cut into 2 pieces. I had the Popeye Omelet and it was very tasty and came with some extra pita which I was grateful for. My mom got the Open Avocado Sandwich which she enjoyed but said wasn't the best she'd had in Costa Rica so far. One brother got the Mixed Shawarma which was a lot of food and was pretty dang tasty. The other got the Open Kitchen Breakfast which he really enjoyed. Overall the meal was very good, if a little pricey. Would definitely recommend it if you're willing to pay 10,000-14,000 per person for your meal.

Best garden salad I’ve had in a while. The eggplant parm was like no other I’ve had. It had fresh ginger, not breaded and cheese over top and served with rice. We also had the cassava croquette appetizer, which were okay. We had the tres leche and coconut flan for dessert. Both were good, the tres leche was better. Service was great considering the restaurant was full (and few cars in the parking lot) and two servers. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

This place was right across from country lodge where we were staying so we decided to check this out. it was pleasant so we decided to sit outside. Plenty of room to sit inside or outside . The outside is very nice too with space for parking. We were just walking a short distance. There was only one server when we went so he was very busy but he was really nice guy, doing his best to manage everything. He did a good job explaining in English and suggesting vegetarian options. The food was excellent. We ordered tortillas for appetizer, tacos, fettuccine with white sauce and eggplant parmesan for main course. The serving size was large and we were full. Lovely place.

Our service here was warm and extremely friendly. There’s a free and spacious parking lot for those driving up from other hotels- try their flan de coco! Multiple rounds of drinks, full entrees, desserts all came in $60 USD. I highly recommend this one- very affordable compared to the spots in the center.

We ate here last night and both had steaks. They were cooked to perfection. I was impressed with the ambience of the restaurant and the service could not have been better. The food and drinks are competitively priced and the staff are so friendly. Planning to return today.

It will be easy to review our experience with this restaurant: Imagine you are arriving at a place that states they're open till 9PM. It's 8:30 PM and, as you are 6 feet away from the door, a hidden body's misterious hand moves the door sign to CLOSED, seconds after a group of clients have been escorted to the door by that hand's owner. Considering that is a tourist oriented estabelishment we understand that they don't need to fidelize their customerd since nost of them will never return, but it was a really lame attitude.

This place popped up as highly rated when I was looking for places to eat in Monte Verde and I am so glad we went. The ambiance is awesome, though a little loud. They have a pretty stellar view from their enclosed dining patio and the staff were incredibly friendly and upbeat. My brothers shared the flight of beer and enjoyed the ability to try and bunch then both got their favorites. My mom had a hazy IPA which she really liked and I had the passion fruit Hard Seltzer which was good, way better than any canned hard seltzer I've ever had. We also had dinner and two of us got the burger which was delicious. It has a sweetness to it and the sauce, bacon and veggies really bring it together. Great pickles too. My mom got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and enjoyed it immensely, though she didn't eat the bun. The chips and fries that came with those meals were kinda meh, definitely coulda used more salt. But overall the sandwiches were awesome. My other brother got the wings and though he enjoyed them he said they weren't really anything special. The beers really were the highlight though. Great selection and all tasty. Highly recommend visiting, especially if you like beer. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. Special shout out to our waiter Ross. He took great care of us and was chatty and engaging. The other waiter was also really friendly but I never got his name.

Wow! This place is amazing. We tried every beer and every beer was good!! Service was great. Ros was so informative and friendly. Definitely recommend this place in Monte Verde. I had the vegetarian wings, so good, my husband had a burger and said it was very good.

Chill vibes, excellent food and exquisite beers. I was debating between sirena dorada and Tita Marita. Sirena dorada blew my mind. Super light and flavorful. My partner ordered the OG: Mi tata and it was great as well. As appetizers we order the edamame, to die for, and the chili poppers (incredibly tasteful). As entree we order the Mi tata sandwich and the Texas burger. Exceeded our expectations. It was so, so good. Definitely coming back!!!

We went here to have an early afternoon meal, and it didn’t disappoint. My wife and I both had the house burger with no extras, and it didn’t need any. It was a generous size and had excellent flavour. The fries were also delicious. We don’t really drink beer, but the owner brought us a small sample to taste. It was a very nice gesture, and the owner gave us great service. The fruit smoothies we ordered were also fantastic - not too sweet. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

John and Allan were amazing! We sat at the bar and they explained all of the beers to us. Service was friendly and fast. Beers were delicious. I didn’t eat but food looked and smelled amazing. Allan was also very patient with letting us practice our Spanish which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend and will be back next time I’m in Monteverde!

We stopped in because it was close to the bus station. However I would definitely go back again. The food was amazing and made to order. The service was very friend and made sure we made our bus on time. The decor is modern rustic and they have a lot of outdoor space to eat. It's a must try if you are done eating pinto gallo while in Costa Rica.

Would have given this place a 4/5, but I felt a bit mislead by the "Beer House" in the title. I was shown two menus for beer, and of the 14 total beers on the menu, only 5 were actually available. 14 beers isn't exactly a selection I'd think of when someone says beer house, but the bigger issue is that they really only had 5 beers available. That said, the Chili Birra was not good (if you like spicy tequila like alcohols, you will like), but the stout was actually really good. The yucca fries were also garlicky and tasty with the sauces. The chess board was fun to play with as well.

The falafel was very good and their orange soup (tasted like butternut squash) was an excellent way to warm up after a cold and wet visit to the cloud forest. Docked a star cause they tout themselves as a beer house but they only had 3 beers. Environment was clean and friendly.

I am sorry to say this but this place was a really bad experience. Service was super slow, we waited a very long time until someone even came to see us. we ordered sausage shakshuka, eggplant with tahini, two dishes of hummus, and one falafel plate. all of which were not at all good. hummus was a solid, not even close to the consistency it should be, and did not have a any taste. the shakshuka was super wateri and had a strong weird aftertaste. none of the dishes were fresh. the total price was really high as well, nothing that justifies the amount of food we ordered nor the quality of it. Would not recommend to even try.

came here for dinner. food was ok, there is definitely room for improvement. bread was warmed in the microwave (nogo!), grilled vegetables were cold, kebab was a bit dry. service was kind but a bit slow and not very welcoming. beer (imperial) was not very cold... and dont look in the (open) kitchen, very messy🙈

With only 6 beers on tap, the owner had the sense to make one a stout. Relaxed atmosphere. Homemade chocolate/Bailey's ice cream (if not just slightly expensive) went well well with the stout.

We requested a private dinner in the gazebo, the atmosphere and the hospitality were excellent. As a whole food/plant based (vegan) eater, I wasn't sure what to expect. The flavors, combination of foods and the presentation were fabulous! To all fellow vegan's, who have the opportunity to eat here; it's worth it!

The vibe is great, the view is great. The service was a bit slow. The cocktails were good, bread, butter, and burrata appetizer were delicious. We were unfortunately a bit underwhelmed with the main courses. Not a ton of flavor. My husbands steak dish was a but undercooked and my fish dish was okay.

Incredible. Waiter named Adan was very attentive and friendly. Beautiful place, stunning views that allowed you to watch the fireflies. Food is inventive and delicious

We found this hidden gem inside a tucked away resort on a hill. We dined on their patio that had terrific views of the cloud forest. Our server(Fio?) was so kind and helpful. The beers were real good and the nachos and steak sandwich delicious. We enjoyed the relaxation of listening to the rainfall and relaxing after a long hike. Stop here and enjoy!

What an amazing spot! We went early and caught the sunset, and it was quite the show. There were thunderstorms off in the distance, and it made for a wonderful experience. The food was tasty. I had a mushroom risotto - which the group agreed was the best dish. We also tried a steak dish, but it was a little undercooked. The house-made bread was a huge hit with my teens. It spurred a core memory for my son, who became obsessed with finding other homemade breads around Costa Rica. Our waitress was attentive and very helpful.

Beautiful setting with sunset views. I definitely recommend catching a cocktail and sunset dinner here I loved the mountain lodge feel. Wish the outside had slightly more table lighting for once it was dark but still romantic. The Bar was very nice with fresh herbs for cocktails House bread and butter was a nice addition Smoke clams white sauce very tasty but a very small portion Beef tenderloin was just alright didn’t enjoy the corn tortilla would’ve been better with another vegetable since it came with a strong green and carrots.. Potatoes would’ve been nice Lastly ordered the tamale dessert and it was delicious. The hotel seemed beautiful and there was lots of parking for us to come for our dinner reservation. A great option compared to the downtown strip for food

The drinks were decent, but a little overpriced (like most places in town). There were games playing on TVs at the bar, a nice outdoor area in the back, and friendly staff.

Great food. Great cocktails and best beer selection with many local crafts (Pale Ales, IPA’s, etc). Most importantly, great people! Jose (owner) and entire staff were awesome. Highly recommend any time in Santa Elena!!!

Nice, clean, friendly. My husband and I went to Santa Elena on a Saturday night around 9:30, not realizing that all the restaurants closed at 10pm. We were very happy to find this nice sports bar, which stays open until 1 or 2 in the morning.

Stopped here for a drink before supper, ended up staying for a few trying out local brewed beers and chatting with the bar staff. Very personable and helpful with pointing out things to do in Monteverde. Good sports bar atmosphere with a 90’s 2000’s grunge/alternative rock and roll vibe. Ended up returning the following evening for their live band which was a great experience and full house. Thank you guys for helping making Monteverde a great memory for us.

Refrees is a great spot in Monte Verde with a very friendly staff, all of the bartenders including Johnathan, both of the owners, and servers are great at what they do! They have delicious food ,drinks, and the atmosphere is always relaxed plus fun, they have live music nights too! I will definitely be coming back to Costa Rica and would stop by here when I visit Monte Verde again. I love this bar !

Amazing Burgers Being an ex-pat in Monteverde, I had a craving for a burger more than every once in a while. Referee's has one of the best in town, along with a great bar vibe. Definitely recommended!

Referee's is a must stop for food, drinks, and a great time. The owners are amazing people who speak English/Spanish and who give excellent advice on local's places to visit. Great food, great drinks 💜💜

Best tasting, finest dining experience we had in our 2 weeks in Costa Rica! The service was perfect - our waiter Michael, was attentive, accommodating to our requests, and friendly. He made the experience extra pleasant. The food was beautiful and delicious, we enjoyed every bite of each dish. El Jardin has a large selection of and entire menu pages dedicated to their vegan options. The ambience was modern and stylish, very elegant. Everything about this place was top notch. Visited late Dec 2023.

The food and staff were absolutely phenomenal… every meal was amazing, we hard a large family group and they accommodated us every time with zero issues. From breakfast to late dinners the atmosphere and service could not be beat… the cocktails and wines were also top notch. thank you to all the employees and chefs that made our trip so unforgettable… I would highly recommend staying at this property.

TLDR - great for a nice dinner but stick to the fine dining dinner menu! Came here for a dinner. Lovely vibe (we sat by the fire) and food and drinks were excellent.. most memorable was the passion fruit margarita and the sea bass!! We did however make a mistake in ordering a pizza as one of our main courses from the all-day menu. maybe I have high standards but it was not great / very a below average pizza. Would highly dissuade dinner guests from ordering a pizza.

As with most hotel restaurants on this trip, this was pretty disappointing. Service was slow, and the food was just okay. Seemed to be quality ingredients, but lacking in execution. I will note that our breakfast experience was better than our lunch experience.

Had an exceptional meal here. The service provided by Eric was superb. He was personable and attentive; a real master class in hospitality. The food was some of the best I've ever had in Costa Rica (and I've enjoyed some great food here). The setting was clean, modern and yet warm. Pricing for this meal was very reasonable, making it, to me, one of the best deals around. Highly recommended. Next time I'm in town I will be back.

What an amazing experience! I loved the food here. It was excellent service and food. The shrimp appetizer was excellent. I am a very picky steak eater but the steak was amazing! There was also a great band until 9 pm and great ambiance.

Was an unexpectedly great experience. The food was well balanced and cooked to perfection. The jus on the tenderloin steak (succulent and charred perfectly) was really the highlight. Sea bass was well cooked, with a very tasty crumb. Overall an awesome experience that delighted the taste buds. Ambience was lovely, service was great, but their food shines the most!

We did the day and evening tour with Dani. He was phenomenal. He was patient and took his time explaining everything we saw from different kinds of fruits we found (and tasted) to the vast array of bird species we saw. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does. Not only one of the best tour guides we’ve had but hands down one of the BEST people we have met while in Costa Rica! Pura Vida!

We had so much fun with Dani! He asked us if we wanted to see anything, all we said was “whatever Mother Nature decides to show us”… and Mother Nature served sloths, snakes, armadillos, and so much more!! We even had a bonus of bioluminescent mushrooms and a very starry night! Dani is a very smart and talented guide - one of our favorite people in Costa Rica!

Dani was great! We saw a baby sloth with its mum, a sleeping toucan, a frog and lots of cool bugs. He helped us take great photos and I had a great time :)

Great night tour, highly recommend. If you cone here and don’t go, you will miss a lot of night wild life. Dani was a great guide, speaks english perfect.
