Lovely meal, it was May day so they were busy, but our reservation was met w8thin a few minutes. I had the pata cozzi followed by a fritto and my wife had calamaro followed by tonno, all excellent! Wr will be back

Beautiful, quiet location with a lovely, and clean restaurant serving great food. We had a wonderful dinner on a weeknight while visiting a few weeks back and were able to get seated without a reservation. The servers were kind, relatively attentive and were helpful as we needed to ensure we had gluten-free food due to a member of our party having Celiac (gluten allergy). There were still a decent set of options to eat and we thought the food was delicious. Our drinks/aperitifs were great too!

Absolutely wonderful place extremely friendly and forgiving for our lack of italian! Due to corona we all have to follow the rules and they made it really easy! The food as you will see in the photos is absolutely delicious. When we arrived as we hadn't booked they asked us to wait 10 minutes but fortunately we only had to wait around 5 minutes and we asked if we could get a glass of wine during the wait and they brought it straight out. We were so happy and then the food came out and is was delicious 🤤 We really enjoyed the QR code menu option, very forward thinking given the corona restrictions! When desert was served one member of our party was almost in tears she loved it so much 😂 We had a small mix up at the end with coffees however it turned out the waiter was not at fault but in fact the girls who know so much about the italian language told him to bring me a cup of milk!! All around excellent afternoon out and absolutely fantastic food!

Great restaurant to spend a night in, with impressive food quality and a variety of different course selections. However, the prices are a little steep, and there's an abundance of mosquitos flying around, which makes it rather difficult to stay focused on enjoying the atmosphere.

Great place for a special dinner... The Bollito is amazing! The first courses (I primi) are really good as well. The atmosphere and the view are great one of the best restaurants of Castiglioncello. The price is around 90€ per person, but for some special occasion it's worth it! You cannot arrive by car or motorcycle, only by walking, really romantic :)

Food is good and atmosphere too But we waited for menu 30 minutes then we waited tartar and pasta for 45 more minutes then they made bill like we ate 2 pastas instead of one and tried to lie.

They have a small area outside with a nice view; there is no waiting service, but I think the main problem (to me) its the service at the bar. Too slow for a place that has many guest. Also the barista was a little bit unprofessional; but that was good for me because instead of try to sell me a glass of wine from an opened bottle he just gave me a new one 🤣

We were a party of 4; I had friends visiting us from the US. Great views, elegant restaurant and wonderful busy vibe around 9 pm. I loved my meal, my husband said his was okay. The funniest thing was when the waitress looked down her nose at us when my US friend ordered an espresso martini before dinner. She informed us that it was strange, as it is an after-dinner drink here, so I had to explain the cocktail culture in the US is different 😉 Anyway, we ultimately laughed over it. It really shouldn’t matter if guests want to order something they like … the bill was well over 200 euro. Regardless, we had a great time and I would go back.

Perfect Beach for a day trip from anywhere closer in Tuscany, Florence, Siena or Pisa. Beautiful Beach, they have a space for free beach as well otherwise you can rent the spots also. The vibes were really amazing, it’s a whole beautiful town above the beach you can walk around have an aperitivo, pizza or gelato and come back for the swim. This beach was not really full but it looks an authentic place which not many tourists know about. 10/10 recommended

Great place to enjoy the beach and the views of the little bay. Also has a nice cozy bar and shower. Umbrellas and sunbeds are quite affordable compared to other places.

There is a free section to the beach. The small bay has great views from upstairs while you're descending to the shores but also from downstairs, it's a beautiful location. Really good waves for learning to surf, but also for just playing with them, everyone enjoyed them from 5 years old to 70. I haven't tried the drinks in the bars, but I've seen a ping-pong table hidden on one of the porches, nice terraces, there are free bathrooms, changing rooms, showers. The sand is smooth and hot :) Recommend!

I ordered fried calamari and prawns, baked potatoes and a glass of white wine. Calamari tasted blend. Prawns were fried in tempura with the shell still on them. Which is the most absurd thing I've ever seen. Potato was soggy and oily. I have never in my life tasted wine that is ugly. But this one stank as if it was old, and it tasted funny. As s staff working in the restaurant that's in the center of the city, speaking basic English is a must for you. We were communicating through google translate. That's all I can say. Also, prices are incredibly high for this poor quality. Overall, very disappointing and sad.

It seemed like the waiters were very aware, that the man was watching over them, and he gave orders, when they were near. It might be completely normal, but we got the impression that the waiters were uncomfortable and the tense atmosphere between the staff actually dampened our experience. But we might be wrong in our analysis.

I wish I had listened to the 1 star reviews, we wanted to have dinner here because of the nice view and sunset. Unfortunately those are the only good part of our experience. The food is overpriced for what it is and the service is questionable. One of the servers insisted on parting the grilled fish for us and just completely butchered it. What started out looking like a regular grilled fish ended up looking like dog food on two tiny plates with 0 presentation... For 40€... He didn't even leave all of the sides with us, they didn't fit on the tiny plates so he took them back to the kitchen??? When we decided to return the food he gave us an attitude about it so we were so uncomfortable we payed our bill and just left the rest of the food. Now I have to say this might have been an isolated incident with an awful server, but even so this is in Italy where you can eat amazing food for better prices at pretty much every street corner. So unless you come for the view don't come at all.

The negative reviews make sense now. We booked for 7:30 PM and waited 45 minutes for a “mini platter” consisting of one slice of salami, one of prosciutto, one sliver of cheese, and a crostino. Not a typo. We asked for our pizza at 8:20. It arrived at 9:05, thanks only to my husband intervening. It was bland. At the register, I was told off for “being in a hurry.” Apparently, two hours for a cold cut and a mediocre pizza is rushing things. To add insult to the injury the management has a 'nice' way to insult unhappy customers, blaming negative reviews on their 'frustrations'. Charming, like their food.

The birthday, who wanted to go there for a pizza, had to eat pasta he didn't want and like, not to starve. He got his food around midnight after we ordered around 9:30pm!! We were all starved and it was a horrible evening for us on my cousin's birthday :(( in the end they didn't offer us a refund and even wanted to charge us for the pasta, we did not order in the frost place! I cannot recommend this place at all! Stay away!!!

An absolutely wonderful seafood based restaurant with a great view of the sea. The food is prepared exceptionally well, though the price point is a bit high. But, the service, location and quality are awesome. Today we enjoyed a specialty dish (Cerna/grouper) that was outstanding along with fried orata. The tiramisu was very different, very good and a great way to conclude the meal. Of course, a nice bottle of vermentino always helps. On the plus side: they made it easy to eat there with food restrictions and were mindful about it. On the much longer list of cons: we had a reservation, arrived early and despite all but one table being open, we got the worst table of the restaurant next to the storage room with the beach personnel still cleaning up the equipment from the adjacent beach right next to us. They were visibly confused when they came over and we weren’t raving about their food. Food was mediocre. The place was nice and recommended highly. It is for sure a higher level of place fancier and with that it is more expensive but as a whole not too bad. The primi and antipasti were between 12-16 each and the fritto misto was around 20. The place is right next to the train station which was actually kinda cool. There will free parking on the other side of the train station but not too many places to park. The servers were friendly and explained everything else. They do not have a wine list it’s an enoteca so you have ti go inside and find wine if you want it. We got glasses but they only had a few options for by the glass and then house wine. The fritto misto here was probably the best I have had in Italy I recommend highly. Also the gnocchi with calamari and pistacchio was amazing. I would highly recommend that. I would return here

Brilliant restaurant right next to the station (but don't let that put you off!). It has a sweet secluded sheltered 'garden' with seating that makes it all feel very special. The food was really good - we had swordfish, mussels and pasta but all the menu looked good. Staff friendly. It was busy in contrast to the other restaurants in town we went to or have seen even though it's not quite the summer season and that says something. Go here - it's lovely.

We came here yesterday with our son (6 years), who suffers from celiac disease, specifically to eat glutenfree dinner, because we read in the reviews and on the website of the restaurant, that they care for celiac people and are affiliated with the AIC (Italian association of celiac disease). It was a big disappointment: I called and told them in advance that we have a celiac son, yet they didn't serve a glutenfree schacciattina as a welcome starter. They don't have glutenfree pasta, so our son chose the trancio di tonno with pistachio. After a quick chat in the kitchen the waitress came back and told us, that they are not sure about the pistachio sauce that they put on top of the fish ... So we told them to leave it. The plate he received was really not nicely done: just a plane piece of tuna, without any spices or anything on the side. And another waiter quickly brought some bread to accompany the fish, but when we asked if it's glutenfree bread he just said "No, it's with gluten." and took back the bread without alternative ... Our son is such a decent person, so he didn't complain or anything and he said he liked the fish. It was just sad for us parents to see him treated like that. I had ordered a gluten free pizza to back my son up in case he didn't like the fish. My glutenfree pizza came about 15min after the rest of the dishes, when the whole family was already done eating. And it was tiny. And I had to share with my son because he also didn't have enough from just this piece of fish. So at least my son was happy in the end, but for me it was a big disappointment. They also forgot to bring the two glasses of red wine that we ordered in the beginning and when we decided to eat the dessert somewhere else and asked for the bill, the two glasses of red wine were on the bill! I'm sorry, maybe that was not their best night yesterday, but we certainly cannot recommend this restaurant for families with children that suffer from celiac disease.
