La Vague d'Or is a renowned restaurant located at the Cheval Blanc St. Tropez, offering a dining experience that celebrates the bounties of the sea. Chef Arnaud Dockele's passion for the region shines through in his creative dishes such as spider crab in a citrus bath, verbena-infused bouillon, and abalone with locally grown onions.
27th stop in my Michelin 3 Stars Marathon in France. Follow me for updates and more reviews. The intellectual, the poet and the actor. So what’s extraordinary here? It’s a 3 stars, you should expect no less. Well, first of all, it’s a notch above extraordinary like all the Cheval Blanc. A lot to say but I’ll limit to 3 points The first two are actually the tension between the intellectual side and the emotional side. The chef Arnaud Donckele is the extremely well known for his dedication to sauces, and bringing them back to the forefront. But something was still bugging me: reducing (no pun intended) him to the superstar of the sauce was missing the point. Until I came to this Cheval Blanc. Here you can see how his intellectual part pushes him to look (dig, extract, isolate, magnify) for the essences and how a romantic part uses it not only to express, but also even fuel, his emotions. He’s like a Nerd in love. When they are, and when they manage to express their emotions correctly, they can conquer any heart because they turn the loved object in something even more sublime. He’s expressing himself correctly… and this Romantic side is perfect with the location, bringing back to Saint Tropez the intellectual and the freshness of the late 50s, without the bling. What’s in it for you? A very refined, diverse and yet coherent cuisine. But this will not be complete without mentioning Thierry Di Tullio. Gastronomy is closer to the living arts than any other art. You have the chef that is the author and very often the director, and then the producers (literally), the brigade who every night put a bit of their souls into making a recipe a reality, etc… The dining room is where you have the actors, forming a band. They will play their roles, with their personal touches and sensibilities, to you, dear reader and spectator. A plate without a good service, is like a script without a voice : Some great material. Thierry Di Tullio, the maître d’hôtel, is an actor, is an artist. The mood was chic and suave. I’ve seen friends, family and couples. I was alone but with total fullness enjoying the view, the cuisine, the moment. Some may call this Plenitude. A top tiers 3 stars. I barely can wait to come back.

Dining at Le Vague d’Or is not just a meal—it’s a journey through the sun-drenched soul of Provence, elevated to an art form. Chef Arnaud Donckele masterfully weaves together local ingredients, poetic storytelling, and precise technique to create a once-in-a-lifetime gastronomic experience. From the moment you're greeted, the service is impeccable: warm, intuitive, and deeply knowledgeable. The setting, overlooking the sparkling bay of Saint-Tropez, adds a serene luxury that sets the tone for the evening. The tasting menu is where Donckele’s genius shines brightest. Each course arrives with a narrative—evoking the sea, the hills, the gardens of the region. Sauces are the soul of the cuisine here: intensely flavorful, refined, and central to each dish's identity. Standouts might include Mediterranean langoustines bathed in a fragrant consommé or lamb from the Alpilles, slow-cooked and served with a jus so rich and complex it feels orchestral. The wine pairings, curated with deep respect for terroir, are bold yet precise, with a focus on lesser-known Provencal vintages that surprise and delight. Prices are in line with the exceptional quality and the Michelin recognition, but this is not simply an expensive dinner—it’s a culinary pilgrimage. For those who seek more than food, and instead crave emotion, memory, and beauty on a plate, Le Vague d’Or delivers with quiet grandeur.

One of the finest French Riviera restaurant, in a classy and elegant Hotel. The personnel is very nice, welcoming and professional. The cuisine is refined and delicate, keeping Mediterranean flavours.

One of the very best. We felt like royalty here. Food was mind blowing. Service was the best in France. Setting like a dream.

It’s the first ever restaurant that made me emotional. The staff were so beautiful (inside and outside), I have a special appreciation for fashion and La Vague D’or was over the standard. The food was exceptional - the explosion of the aroma when the plate arrives in our table, my god, it was intense. Special shoutout to the sauces! I felt like I was in a dream during my experience because it is just not realistic. I cannot believe this restaurant is real! Like I said, it was the first restaurant that made me cry because of how adorable staff were. Immense thank you for showing me love, I would recommend you in a heartbeat. If there is a single human being who says they were never happy in this restaurant, I would truly doubt their mental health, they would have to be dead inside. I love you all, thank YOU!

La Vague d’Or Saint‑Tropez so good, stands as a culinary pilgrimage on the Côte d’Azur a perfect fusion of sea-breeze ambiance, technical mastery, and pure Mediterranean soul. For those seeking an unforgettable, high-caliber dining moment in a sun‑soaked setting, it remains one of the world’s finest.
Jackie S — Google review
One of the most remarkable dining experiences on the French Riviera, located inside a hotel that radiates class and timeless elegance. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere feels both refined and inviting, with a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. The staff deserves special mention – always warm, genuinely welcoming, and highly professional, making you feel cared for without ever being intrusive. The cuisine is exceptional, combining delicate presentation with authentic Mediterranean flavors that stay true to tradition while adding a touch of creativity. Every dish is carefully crafted, highlighting fresh ingredients and a thoughtful balance of taste and texture. Whether it’s seafood, meat, or vegetarian options, each plate feels like a celebration of the region’s culinary heritage. The ambiance, service, and food together create a complete experience – not just a meal, but an elegant journey through Mediterranean culture and hospitality. A place that leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to return again and again.

In the heart of Saint-Tropez, beneath the golden light of Provence, La Vague d’Or offered me a fairytale. Each dish was a poem, every sauce a melody… the harmony of flavors became a gentle symphony that touched my soul. Chef Arnaud Donckele’s artistry brought the spirit of the sea and the sun to the table, while the service team turned each moment into grace and elegance. This was not just a dinner, but a timeless journey—an enchanted memory forever sealed in my heart. Truly the most beautiful souvenir of Saint-Tropez. 🌸✨

Le Bistrot de Louis, located in Place Colbert, is a great spot for seafood enthusiasts. The menu features a delightful fish soup and an array of freshly caught fish, simply prepared and served with a slice of fresh lemon to fully savor the exquisite flavors. Nestled in the heart of the Old Town near Rue d'Alsace, this bistro called Le Porche is renowned for its delectable traditional dishes.
We had dinner on the patio one night. The charcuterie board entree is nice and plentiful. We were able to have leftovers and they kindly packed them to take home. The dinner was nice and service friendly.
Stephanie W — Google review
We visited Le Bistrot de Louis with three people and chose the €35 Menu de Bistrot, which includes a starter, main, and dessert. The setting is cozy and the staff was friendly, as we remembered from earlier visits. We’ve been here before, back when it was run by a Belgian owner, and were curious to see if it was still as good as we remembered. The restaurant is located on Place Colbert, a very idyllic square shaded by large plane trees. The outside terrace is lovely and inviting — a perfect spot for a summer evening meal. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side this time, with strong winds and even a bit of rain. So we chose to sit inside instead. We started with the soupe de poisson and the carpaccio de bœuf. Both were nicely presented and tasted fine, though they didn’t quite stand out. For mains, we had the mignon de cochon (pork tenderloin crusted with sesame and mustard sauce) and the filet de daurade (sea bream). Again, the dishes looked appealing and were enjoyable, but something felt missing compared to past visits. It’s still a pleasant place for a relaxed dinner in Sainte-Maxime, but it didn’t quite live up to the standard we remembered. It feels like everything was fine, nothing special. Still worth a visit, especially for the lovely setting.

Another fantastic lunch at Le Bistrot de Louis - super set menu with great options served with style from an “always excellent” kitchen - very competitive pricing fr both food and wine - back next week for sure.

Food was delicious. The set menu was of generous portion. We sat inside which was very cosy. Highly recommend!

Update: Beware of these people. In their response, they tell lies. We have never been rude or impolite to the staff. We certainly did not spoke badly to the staff. The only thing We said was that we only want to drink something. And then the female boss came out. The only one who was continuous yelling without any reason was the female boss in question. We would have gladly spent an evening drinking expensive cocktails there and paid a significant bill. But unfortunately, we were rudely sent away without reason, as there were plenty of seats on the terrace (24 chairs). It's a shame that this establishment behaves this way. If they were hospitable, they could generate much more revenue and not have empty tables. Instead, they embarrass themselves by yelling at guests. Review: Don't go here! We had a bizarre experience here. We were assigned a spot on this terrace. It was already later in the evening. We ordered 2 gin tonics at 15 euros each and a bottle of water at 7.50 euros. A total of €37.50. After about 10 minutes, the waitress asked if we wanted to eat something. We indicated that we just wanted to drink. This was met with a very negative reaction. Then, the female owner/boss stormed outside, very irritated, and yelled at us, "We are not a bar!" A minute later, another waitress came out with the bill, threw it on the table, and simply said, "This is for you." In other words: get out! We then indicated that we found their behavior very rude. The famele owner/boss came back outside to yell at us that we were the ones being rude. Then she continued yelling at us, allowing all the other guests to enjoy the spectacle. We felt second-hand embarrassment from it. We don't understand any of this. We counted for a moment. They had 24 seats free. About half of the terrace. Maybe even more. And then they make a turnover of €37.50 in 15 minutes, where the purchase cost compared to food is very low. So what is the problem? And if there is a problem, treat your guests with respect and don't literally send them away and don't yell at them. This was the last time we were here. We will also alert our Dutch friends to these practices. Don't go here!

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. We ordered two 3-course menus, a children’s menu for our 13-year-old, and a bottle of red wine. The waiter forgot the wine entirely. When we later asked for water, which we really needed to enjoy the food, that was also forgotten. The wait between courses was excessively long, around 30 to 45 minutes each time. This felt unreasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The pork sirloin lacked flavor, and the sauce was far too sour for our taste. The children’s dish was just plain spaghetti with no sauce, served with what looked like something fried from the freezer. It felt awkward to even serve, and honestly, it almost made us laugh. After all the delays, we were in a bit of a rush and let the waiter know when asking for the bill. He said he’d bring it right away, but we waited another 10 minutes while being completely ignored. We eventually had to flag down another waitress just to pay and leave.

Wonderful atmosphere, incredible food, great service and all very reasonably priced. We had an amazing evening. To eat we tried the Cesar with salmon and cod with prawns - both were incredible!

Seafood restaurant
French restaurant
Le Girelier in Saint-Tropez has been captivating guests for over 50 years with its authentic Mediterranean ambiance and stunning views of the Port of Saint-Tropez. The restaurant offers a carefully curated menu featuring an array of seafood dishes, including fish, shellfish, and crustaceans prepared to perfection. With a focus on grilled seafood and bouillabaisse, the restaurant's chefs have garnered praise from tourists, regulars, and even the Michelin guide.
At Le Girelier, I found the perfect blend of elegance and comfort, with both outdoor and indoor seating that enhances the dining experience. The upscale ambiance set the stage for a memorable evening. As I browsed the menu, I was drawn to the exceptional seafood options, each dish promising a taste of the ocean’s finest. Although the prices were on the higher side, every bite confirmed that it was worth the splurge. I indulged in perfectly cooked fish and succulent shellfish, each plate beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The attentive service added to the experience, making me feel like a valued guest. Whether enjoying a sunset on the terrace or the chic interior, Le Girelier delivered a dining experience that left me longing to return.

cool spot with a nice vibe and super friendly staff. The decor is great and the location’s perfect, but the food really missed the mark—especially for the price. Also, the toilets could really use an upgrade. This place has potential, but it needs some work to be worth the cost.

Best meal of France trip so far. Great food. Desert is fabulous! Great atmosphere for dinner. Kind and happy staff.

Visited for lunch. The place is nice and service is superb by Victor and very attentive. Salad selection is limited. The food overall is very good. The Sole meunière is very nice. Again service by Victor is excellent and atmosphere is very good.

Very tasty food but the portion vs price doesn’t match up. Lobster could be much bigger for the price. Service was good and attentive. Also location was nice right next to the water.

All the sea food that we tried was amazing, the service was very professional but still very warm. We are coming back.

The lunch menu was great value, 2 courses for €30 and delicious! Really enjoyed.
Holly F — Google review
Hi! So I actually We recently dined at Le Girelier, and while the food itself was commendable, the service left much to be desired—emotionally, logistically, and physically. To begin with, the drink orders for two members of our party were incorrect. When the corrected beverages finally arrived—after what can only be described as a small eternity (approximately 10 minutes)—it felt less like a refreshment and more like a rescue mission. As if that weren’t enough, a separate waiter attempted to serve a plate directly onto a table that already had a precariously balanced fork on it. Rather than adjusting the fork (as one might expect), he repeatedly attempted to land the plate on top of it, as though engaged in a gravity-defying experiment. A member of our party ultimately had to intervene and relocate the rogue utensil. Meanwhile, I must note that I suffer from a medical condition—distal enthesopathy, a form of tendon inflammation in the foot. Despite this, another waiter (the third in what appeared to be an ever-rotating cast of chaotic characters) managed to step on my afflicted foot while failing to look where he was going, nearly colliding with my friend in the process. The incident left me hobbling through the remainder of my time in Saint-Tropez, eventually necessitating the use of a cast. In short: I arrived at the restaurant with a foot problem, and left with a personal vendetta. To add insult to injury—quite literally—we were seated at one of the worst tables available, with a view that somehow managed to exclude both the ocean and the yachts, despite the restaurant’s optimal location. Several better-positioned tables remained mysteriously empty throughout our visit. And to top it all off, the waitress overheard us discussing the service (albeit discreetly), and abruptly asked if there was a problem. Unfortunately, by that point, the problem had evolved far beyond the realm of correction. We were already psychologically—and orthopedically—wounded. In summary: Le Girelier delivers quality cuisine, but the service could benefit from improved attentiveness, coordination, and perhaps a gentle reminder not to step on their guests.

Restaurant
Le Café de France, located on the edge of the Old Town with a view of the coast, holds the distinction of being the oldest cafe in Sainte-Maxime, having opened when it was just a fishing village. The walls are adorned with captivating old photographs depicting fishermen and their boats, as well as scenes of daily catches being unloaded and nets meticulously mended. With an outdoor terrace and a reasonably priced set menu offering a delicious two-course lunch, this charming establishment is not to be missed.
We had the most fantastic meal at Le Cafe de France this evening. We had two young children in tow and I checked that the kids wouldn’t be a nuisance beforehand and the waiter was so welcoming and said ‘we were all young once’. The menu has lots of variety and the food was flavourful and plentiful. The ambience and setting is delightful and it’s honestly the most special meal we’ve had as a foursome. The staff are attentive and friendly. I couldn’t recommend more highly.

Billy was absolutely wonderful—pleasant, funny, kind, and warm. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Super attentive, timely, and checked in to make sure we were happy. His tiramisu recommendation was spot on! We loved the food—especially the steak and avocado toast. Amazing flavors all around!

Great place for a quick lunch, service is effecient and friendly. We also came here for breakfast the day after.

The service is quite quick and friendly. I would prefer to have more grill steaks on the menu as the only option for that is Wagyu. My chicken burger however, was really good!
Michelle V — Google review
You’d expect a tourist trap, but it is far from that. We had been there several times for breakfast and already surprised by the friendly staff. Through coincidence we ended up here again for drinks, but had such a good time that we decided to stay for dinner. This was due to the friendly staff again, and the food appeared to be surprisingly good as well. Fair prices and again… very friendly and attentive service.

The venue offers an elegant seaside terrace adorned with basket lamps and sandy floors, creating a cozy and chic setting for guests to savor refined Mediterranean dishes. A Cozy Culinary Escape From the moment you step inside, this place feels like a warm hug. Soft lighting, thoughtful details, and a relaxed, intimate vibe make it the perfect spot to unwind. Whether you’re tucked into a corner with a glass of wine or laughing over plates with friends, the atmosphere invites you to stay a while. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish is made with care — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and just the kind of comfort food you crave but rarely find done this well. From the first bite to the last, everything was chef’s kiss. A true hidden gem that feels like home, but tastes like something out of a dream. Can’t wait to go back.

The food selection is not the regular but nice fusion touches adds to it. Service is average. The avocado with crab is so good. The main we tried the kufta and lamb chops and it was fine. Atmosphere is nice especially late in the night when it turn like a club with loud music and party vibes. In general its worth

The place looked amazing but… sorry… one of the most rude service ever! We asked for some water and no idea how many times we were if ignored. The waiter I believe she woke up with her left foot. With such attitude people should not got I work. The food was good but really… service killed all of the experience. At the end we said who is paying what. The lady was unable to calculate and add our orders and all the time was telling we don’t wanna pay for something. We were waiting 10 minutes or more that she was able to add all things… we were 6 people and really… we just took a main dish… I will never go back there again!

A Delicious Experience – Highly Recommended Pros: -The Mezzés de Méditerranée (115€ for two) was outstanding. Each dish offered a perfect blend of flavors — I highly recommend trying it. -The Bora-Bora mocktail was refreshing and delicious. -The ambiance is beautiful, with a ceiling adorned with lights and flowers, a sand-covered floor, and great music that enhances the overall vibe. Cons: -12€ for a bottle of Evian water feels excessive. -After paying, we walked to the other side of the restaurant to admire the decor, but were quickly (though politely) asked to leave. Notes: -The service was average and didn’t quite match the upscale feel of the venue. We had to ask for explanations about the mezzés, which should have been offered proactively. -The request for some tip (pourboire) during the payment is a bit surprising and unusual for France.

Terrible service and absurd prices. We were never asked if we wanted more water or wine, and I had to ask several times about an allergy (never got full answer). See photo for the 34 euro falafel - enough said. The 8 of us left hungry 600 euros later

Haute French restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of St Tropez, Au Caprice des Deux is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully blends traditional French bistronomy with modern flair. Run by the talented sibling duo, Sonia and Stephane Avelin, this charming eatery emphasizes local ingredients and homemade dishes crafted from scratch. The menu showcases seasonal delights like truffles and zucchini flowers while drawing inspiration from various regions across France, including Aquitaine and Gascony.
Beautiful quite place with amazing food! So far our favorite in France (we were traveling around one month and visited many restaurants including several Michelin)!
Alexander C — Google review
This place comes up on many lists of "Where to eat in St Tropez" but I just didn't see what the fuss is all about. The escargot dish was good, the deep fried courgettes weren't bad. A cannelloni of crab was drowned in a brown sauce. A meagre skewer of overcooked veal and a fish entree were uninspiring. Their appetizers seemed stronger than their main dishes, but don't expect to have more appetizers in place of a main dish - a main dish is obligatoire. The service was friendly. The tables set in the narrow laneway was cute if not lacking for a breeze which made it uncomfortable for me. We hurried through our obligatoire mains just to move on after paying the wildly expensive tally. I understand St Tropez prices are eye-watering, but I didn't feel the food here was commensurate with the price, even discounting the St Tropez price premium. To click the 100 euro + button on this review doesn't even begin to summarize the cost of the meal. It was disappointing despite all the "Where to eat in St Tropez lists."
Tom G — Google review
Whatever you do... ask for the price first. They are definitely taking advantage of tourists. Most expensive dish on the menu is 54€, however they charged us 120€ for the special of the night because we didn't ask the price! It was the Sole fish... when he brought me the check and I complained he told me it was a large portion (which is wasnt) and he never offered us a smller portion. Classic taking advantage of tourists tactics. I paid it and went on my way. Figured I'd right a bad review. Definitely feel taken advantage of. Also all the food we had was super average. I would not recommend this place, even tho the street its on is super cute.

It was a very very hot night last night and we did not get to fully enjoy the restaurant. The food was fantastic. Full o flavors, fantastically presented and perfect size. Dont forget the snails and the terrine but above all the crab canelloni.

We come here every year since about 7/8 years. I always loved their truffle risotto - the risotto used to be full with truffles. This year we took 6 friends of ours and were very surprised that the prices went up and you would literally get a cheese risotto with some truffle flakes on top. On top it arrived cold, so it was pre-cooked. We won’t go back, also our friends were disappointed. What a pity!

Dinner at Caprice des Deux was overall enjoyable. The staff was very friendly, and the food was good. The food, however, did come out incredibly fast…so fast that I felt rushed. (The menu was small, so I’m sure it’s easier to fire.). Additionally, being mostly in a small street, several times there were people trying to sell things, and the staff didn’t try to have them not bother the patrons. The food itself was quite good. I had the filet of beef with truffles and the peach Melba for dessert.

Very friendly and professional staff. The best escargot ever, very good risotto and exceptional figues desert. We will be back next year

We seem to be the only people underwhelmed by the food. Overall food was decent just not very special or memorable. Our favourite was the side bread (good bread!). The truffle on top of most dishes was lovely and the risotto was good. For main courses, we had three orders of seafood. The seabass was a bit dry; the prawn tasted very fishy; and the salmon avocado tartare didn't leave the impression that they belonged together, felt like sashimi mixed with salty greens (sorry I had the most mind blowing salmon avocado tartare a few days prior at my wedding by my French chef). Appetizers wise they were ok. The crawfish pasta tasted better than the seafood main courses. Friendly and quick service.

Located to the east of Saint-Tropez, Restaurant Les Graniers offers a warm and rustic beachfront dining experience with a stunning view of the bay. The Mediterranean-inspired cuisine features creative seafood and steak dishes, perfect for enjoying while sitting at tables on the sandy shore. The restaurant's exotic decor creates an atmosphere reminiscent of Robinson Crusoe's hut, with meticulous attention to detail.
Perfect spot on a quiet beach. We loved to spent some time at Les Graniers and have a drink, enjoy the view and the beach.

Probably my favorite in St. Tropez, no need to drive out, great food, great atmosphere. The class of people in St. Tropez is generally not that high anymore, but this would at least be a “classier” option.

A cozy little place about 15 minutes walk from St Tropez. Located in beautiful sheltered bay isolated from other venues, with its own pier. We ordered steaks, ceviche, and deep-fried zucchini flowers. It was tasty, warmly, and with a beautiful view on the sea 🌊 P.s. complete your experience with colonel desert 🍸

I had an unforgettable dinner experience at Restaurant Les Graniers. Despite the prices being a bit steep, the overall experience was excellent. The setting on the beautiful secluded beach was mesmerizing, and the menu offered a tempting selection. The service was incredibly attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. Although some dishes, like the 42 euro truffle pizza, may seem extravagant, the overall ambiance and culinary delights made it worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back for another memorable meal!

We had a good time at Les Graniers, but we won't be returning. The reason for this is twofold. On the one hand, we had a lovely lunch; the food was truly delicious and the restaurant staff were friendly. On the other hand, the beach experience was a complete letdown. During the entire day, we rented sunbeds, but the service was poor and it felt like you only got attention if you were a big spender. What really left a sour taste was the way we were told to leave the beach at 5:30 PM. The staff was quite unfriendly about it, and when we asked if we could have a drink at the bar or a table instead, the only option offered was a dark, tucked-away spot right next to the toilets, as if they wanted to hide us away. For the price you pay, you expect much better service and hospitality. We really enjoyed the food, but in the end, it's the service that determines whether you return to a place. And for that reason, we will not be back.

What a lovely place. The ambiance is amazing, with the back drop of perfectly blue sky and the ocean, a great place for lunch. We got octopus and ceviche and a side of tomatoes, plus sole deserts. Food was good, service implacable. Would recommend though it’s on the pricey side and HIGHLY recommend making a reservation
Olga B — Google review
Not always can you have a great meal and wonderful view! Do I have to add your eating basically on the beach ;)
Kuba G — Google review
Food good but nothing special. Grossly overpriced, but I guess they have a top spot and a captive audience. It’s lovely being on a beach having dinner and the setting is superb. Also try and pump you for higher priced items. The €45 sea bream is not available in the evening which means a cost of over €80 per person for a nice piece of fish!!! Service ok, but should have been better considering what you’re paying for. We continually had to replenish our own drinks. Not sure I’ll return. A far cry from past times under previous owners.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Hotel AREV – a true gem of Saint-Tropez! A new, stylish, and refined hotel that truly lives up to its 5-star status. From the very first moment, we were impressed — the restaurant's exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, beautifully designed and cozy rooms, and an overall peaceful, elegant atmosphere. The hotel is just a 9–11 minute walk from the old town and the port — right next to the vibrant heart of Saint-Tropez — yet it's located in a calm area, away from the busy crowds. A perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. The transport connections are excellent, making it easy to reach the hotel. This place is ideal for everyone — families with children, couples, or young travelers. All activities are well thought out, and the relaxation areas are clearly separated, so everyone can enjoy their stay in comfort and harmony. You can unwind by the pool or explore more active options — everything is well organized. There is also a bar with a wonderful and exciting selection of drinks — stylish, tasteful, and with great service. A real pleasure for those who appreciate quality and atmosphere. The restaurant deserves special mention — refined, flavorful, and truly a culinary delight. The staff are outstanding: attentive, warm, and always ready to help. The pool is excellent, parking is convenient, and every detail is taken care of. The whole experience is one of comfort, elegance, and high standards. This hotel not only meets the level of Saint-Tropez — it helps elevate it. Huge thanks to Hotel AREV for an unforgettable stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Restaurant La Réserve Sainte-Maxime offers a delightful dining experience in an airy space with vintage decor and sidewalk tables. The Parisian-trained chef meticulously sources local ingredients, ensuring top-notch quality in every dish. Guests can savor their meals in the lounge, main dining room, or on the terrace with stunning sea views. This establishment is renowned for its outstanding service and elegant ambiance, attracting A-list guests seeking natural beauty and Mediterranean charm.
This restaurant is hands down my favorite place in Saint-Maxime. We have been going for a few years now with family, visitors and just on date nights. The service is friendly and helpful when needed to understand the menu. Our favorites are the oysters, salmon dishes and normally their specialty of the night is fantastic. A great location right on the main street with parking right across from it.

Beautiful location, good place to have a drink but maybe not for food. In our case 2 out 3 plates ordered were well below average. We ordered Oysters which were fresh and lovely, however Angus Steak was full of chewy fat (my husband had to leave a good third of it behind), and the Patê aux Fruits de Mer was undercooked(it was tough to eat and white raw semolina was visible in the middle), whilst the shrimps were over cooked, tough and chewy.

The Reserve in St. Maxime was recommended to us by an elderly couple who have been coming to this restaurant for 35 years. So we did go there and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is a cosy and stylish place with great wine and deicious food. The staff is very friendly and attentive and always happy to help. It is wise, however, to make a reservation one day in advance, otherwise it will be hard to get a table since it is very popular with tourists as well as locals.

The restaurant, La Tereza was out of this world, the waiters gave next level service and the ambiance was classy yet warm! We were 2 ladies wanted to drink & eat at the bar. We parked our car and asked barmen where to sit. He showed us a table and gave menu. After few minutes later one waiter came and asked us to leave. He said they don’t accept guests who are not hotel customers. His attitude was very very rude and unacceptable. My friend and I were talking to stay at this hotel next time but with this quality of service personnel it is impossible.

Exclusive hotel with 3 Michelin star dining!!!! Well deserved the recognition and worth every single penny just to be there! By far, one of the best meal we had during our summer trip in Europe. There are a few small issues like the light at the table, one family took along a screaming infant; however not deadly. As our friend have been there a few times before and we get invited to join them for the special occasion and sharing the most wonderful, delicious meal. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day otherwise outdoor seating would have been by far the best option, under the tree canopy, by the water, I can imagine would been just wonderful. We all had cocktails to start, then decided to stick with the set menu - Under The Pines. Everything is just made to the perfection, from presentation, ambiance(family with children/infant should be sat at seperate area. Simply because no one wants to spend thousands for meal and put up with the screaming babies), high quality produce and everything just at the absolutely best! The staff with “NOT a problem, can do, can fix” attitude has given us a memorable dining experience! Strongly recommended

Perched atop the Massif des Maures, Althoff Villa Belrose offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The luxurious 5-star hotel features 40 elegant rooms and suites adorned with carefully selected antiques and boasting expansive marble bathrooms. Guests can indulge in plush dining at Le Mediterranee Restaurant or savor a culinary experience at The Club L'Indochine by The Duc Ngo.
We stayed at Villa Belrose for our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived until the day we (reluctantly) left, every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful—it’s clear the team takes great pride in what they do. The property itself is stunning. The decor and design have been recently updated and strike the perfect balance between elegant and chic. From the top decks, the views of the water are simply breathtaking, and the pool area—with its beautifully arranged layout and plush daybeds—was a perfect place to unwind. The food on-site was excellent; breakfast in particular was a highlight, with delicious omelets and everything else you’d hope for. We also appreciated the small but high-quality gym and the complimentary shuttle to and from town, which made everything incredibly convenient. Special thanks to Hugo at the concierge desk, who helped us secure fantastic reservations during our stay. We also found the location to be ideal for exploring the region, especially for rosé wine tours. During our time there, we spoke with several fellow guests who’ve been returning to Villa Belrose for years—and now we understand why. We loved our stay so much that we’re already looking forward to coming back. Honestly, we almost didn’t want to leave this review because we’d love to keep this gem to ourselves—but the experience was too exceptional not to share. Highly recommended.

Extremely Disappointed We had to cancel our 6-day stay due to an unbearable sewage smell in the room and the hotel’s complete inability to resolve the issue. The General Manager’s “solution” was to waive one night’s charge and suggest we continue sleeping in a room filled with sewage odor completely unacceptable and frankly insulting. This is not just about a maintenance problem issues can happen but it’s about how poorly it was handled. The manager showed no urgency, empathy, or professionalism. Instead of ensuring a comfortable stay, we were met with indifference and disrespect. For a hotel claiming to be 5-star, this level of service is far below standard. Unfortunately, we’re not alone other reviews mention similar drainage and odor issues. Clearly, this is an ongoing problem that management has failed to address. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. There are plenty of nearby 5-star hotels where management actually cares about your comfort and takes accountability when things go wrong which is related to "health and safety" This hotel needs serious leadership change. If the GM can’t handle hotel issues with patience and provide guest proper hospitality, perhaps he should not be in this sector as his behavior towards guest defines the courtesy and quality of the hotel.

An absolutely fabulous find in St. Tropez. We loved staying here - we felt very warmly and genuinely welcomed ; the accommodation is ample, a tad minimalist and very chic, making the space we stayed in airy, uncluttered, uncomplicated yet homely as well. The outside private plunge pool and shower is a wonderfully personal feature, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The area around the pool is very comfortable, with attentive staff making sure you have everything you need. Meals at the restaurant were delicious, and we ate there quite regularly and the quality was consistent. We thank the team for making our holiday truly unforgettable and hope to return again. All in all highly recommended.

My stay at Hotel Sezz turned into a nightmare. Two luxury watches and cash were stolen from inside my locked room, inside a locked suitcase, with a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. The thief? A hotel employee — confirmed by key card logs and security footage. Worse, the hotel admitted this same employee had previously been involved in multiple guest thefts, including one the day before mine. Yet they did nothing to remove his access or protect guests. Even more disturbing: all cameras were mysteriously disabled for exactly 10 minutes — the exact window during which the theft occurred. How convenient. The police arrested the employee on-site, yet the hotel has refused to accept any responsibility or offer any compensation. Instead, I’ve been told to “wait for their insurance.” That’s not how 5-star hospitality works. I paid for safety, privacy, and service — and got none of it. If you value your security, avoid this hotel at all costs.

The worst hotel in St Tropez!!! They charge you lots of money in advanced for an old horrible room with no closet, no space for anything, adding rags for hanging the clothes, mirror, a huge furniture as mini bar, everything together with no space. They treat the clients with no respect and even threatening if you don't follow their rules and extra charges for everything!!! I left for a better hotel where they treat you well for a nice and much better vacations!! Also one client was robed in his room, no security and the hotel didn't do anything about it. I would never recommend it the most horrible experience in a hotel.

The location of the hotel - close to town, the friendly and professional service provided by the staff and the size and cleanliness of the rooms makes this a perfect hotel when one wants to truly enjoy St. Tropez. We read that the hotel had some safety issues. We have always felt safe and secure. To the owner - well done for being on top of your staff and making this hotel a unique, pleasant and wonderful experience.

If I could leave 6 starts I would! I got engaged a few days prior to arriving at Hotel Sezz and I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate. The concierge team of Yannick and Maxime are the best, absolutely world-class. They modified several last minute reservations as well as scheduled many cars and activities for us. You can tell that they truly care about the guests experiences...they are easily the most professional team I have encountered. The shuttle into town and the beach clubs are such a great perk as well. The pool + pool bar and all of the property are beautiful. The entire staff will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I will definitely be returning!

Our stay at Hotel Sezz Saint Tropez was simply unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and relaxation. The service was impeccable, with staff members consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Every corner of the hotel was spotlessly clean, a testament to their commitment to maintaining the highest standards. The highlight of our stay was dining at the hotel's renowned one-star Michelin restaurant, Le Colette. Chef Philippe Collinet's culinary creations were nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a harmonious blend of flavors and presented with artistic flair. It was a true gastronomic journey that left us eager for more. Hotel Sezz is the perfect escape if you're seeking excellence in accommodation, service, and dining. We can’t wait to return!

I’m a returning client - year on year, the team at Sezz delivers. The consistency of service and high quality makes it a rare gem in an environment that typically places short term objectives over loyalty. Of particular note the concierge service is excellent as is the one-star Michelin restaurant where the chef still makes the time to make one-off dishes to suit particular diets or palettes…this kind of attention to detail and customer-focused memory particular to such a boutique hotel makes it a pure joy to return for a few weeks every season…a home from home (beautiful rooms) in the lap of luxury. Thank you Sezz and look forward to seeing you in 2026 🥂🥂

First and foremost, the staff was incredible. However, the biggest disappointment of our stay was the bathroom design. It felt impractical and poorly thought out. The glass door offered no privacy at all, and the oversized outdoor shower took up a lot of space without adding any real value. Even worse, the tub-and-shower setup in our room was so poorly designed that every use left one to two inches of standing water covering the entire bathroom floor. I had to use all the towels just to keep the water from coming into the rest of the room.

The reviewer was initially unsure whether to give Entrepotes Brasserie a 3 or 4-star rating. They were disappointed with the black angus steak, which they ordered medium rare but found to be too rare and difficult to cut. The fries also didn't meet their expectations, especially considering the price of €36. However, the rest of their family's meals (duck, fish and chips, salmon) were enjoyable, prompting them to give a higher rating of 4 stars.
Really delicious food, good to very good kitchen, maybe a little bit different from normal tourist places here, because you enjoy heartily and well englisch speaking friendly service, so you feel welcome. Clean and expensive but special wishes are also no problem. Treat yourself to a special evening here…

Tartiflett was really good as were the Thai Noodles. Service was very friendly and helpful. I'm learning French and the staff were more than happy to help yet let me try my best to order in French. Even complimented my effort. Well worth going to as it's only ½ a block from the main road along the coast. More locals here than on the main drag - which is a good thing.

Was debating between a 3 or 4 star. I did not like the black angus steak that I ordered. I ordered medium rare but it was so rare. They cooked it again but still rare when it came back. Hard to cut and very chewy. I didn’t like it or the fries very much and it was $36 euro. I didn’t eat much or it. Thank goodness my family finished it off for me so it didn’t just get tossed out. The other 3 plates my family had which included the duck, fish and chips, and salmon were good. That’s why I bumped the review to a 4. I prob wouldn’t return or if I did I’d order a pasta, not the steak.

The cheerful ambiance is accentuated by blue-and-white-checked tablecloths and colorful throw cushions, creating a welcoming atmosphere on the main pedestrian street. The menu features fresh pasta like tagliatelle pistou and ravioli, as well as simple grilled meat and fish dishes paired with well-chosen local wines.
We visited Maison Bleue twice during our stay in St Maxime. We came back a second time particularly for the Skype De Poisson. It’s very flavourful and good. Plat du jour was cod and it was flaky and nicely done. Service is generally friendly.

Adorably quaint restaurant I was drawn to it by their IG page and saw a post for their Plat de Jour (daily dish) of Frog Legs for lunch. Had to try them here. Beautifully prepared and served. Spouse had Fish Aioli that melted in your mouth. Finished with a dessert of Crème Brûlée. Reservations for lunch are not needed but I'd recommend them as they quickly got busy. Finally, they do speak English very well and have a QR code to scan if you need to read an English version of their menu.

My experience was so pleasant, I went 2 nights in a row. The food was amazing and authentic. One night we had seafood, pasta with pesto. And we had beef the next night, I have to say the beef was out of this world, both with green paper(pepper corns) and one with creamy blue cheese sauce cooked to perfection. The chocolate mousse was Devine. God knows I will ever make it there again, but this was an experience to remember for ever.

We visited here 22 years ago and could not wait to get back there this time around. However, it was firework night and they were full, luckily they managed to fit us in and serve us in time to still see the fireworks. We went for simple dishes that would be quick to cook too and they were delicious. The fuller menu looked very good too but we ran out of time to go back again to try more.

Friendly staff, great prices and good food. The fish was excellent, along with the frog legs. Both our waitresses were extremely kind, and we had a very pleasant experience. Wait times were unexpectedly fast despite the lunch rush. Compared to the other restaurants in the town, this is by far the best one we’ve visited. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely evening. The service is super and friendly staff. Only a minus point for the wine cooler (plastic bag). The quality of mussels could have also been better. But overall a very lovely restaurant.

We asked one of the shopkeepers in St Maxime for a recommendation and she told us this was a friendly place with great food. She was right. Though it was very hot, the roof of the terrace is open and there are multiple fans. Charming servers. Get there early of have a reservation- it’s worth it.

Our favorite restaurant in saint-maxime. We visited back in July and were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Everything was on point! Not only was the service excellent but the food was mouth-watering. Definitely recommend visiting!!

Good service however the food was not as expected. It was well below the average of a French restaurant and relatively expensive for what you get. It was a pity as the reviews were totally positive.
Diana S — Google review
The service was really good, I had the beef dish, I can't recall exactly which one, I asked for a medium done one and it still had some blood inside, a bit undercooked for my taste but maybe I'm just slightly uneducated from a culinary stand point. The side was ok, everything else ok, maybe just my personal preference.

Le WYC, a beachfront French restaurant in Sainte-Maxime, offers stunning ocean views and delectable cuisine. The establishment boasts helpful and courteous staff who provide excellent service. The menu features a range of delectable dishes, from appetizing starters to satisfying main courses. While the prices may be higher than average, the quality of the food justifies it.
Today we had a beautiful dinner at le WYC. The restaurant is located just at the beach and has a beautiful view under blue sky. The service was very helpful and kind. The food was great and is really recommended, starting with shareables up to very good main dishes. Will definitely come back.

This was our first visit, but we were with friends who visit regularly. The food was very good and the atmosphere great, even though the weather was overcast. It is not the cheapest restaurant, and we were disappointed that some of the crockery used was damaged. Hence, only 4 stars for service. Would certainly visit again.

Everything was perfect. We felt the smell walking there and we decided to stop for a drink. The terrace is cozy, the woman who served us was very friendly and for the first time in France we did not see the fake smile on the waiter’s face. More than that, we received also recommendation. The person responsible for this place is a xenophobe, because he treated me with disrespect and did not let me enter the bar-restaurant for 2 days saying that it was closed when clearly it was not, and he made fun of me France to the other people, I don't understand Since this man works in tourism, he is clearly a bad example of what should be done with tourists. So bad, served cold spring rolls when we said it they came back WITH THE SAME rolls that were cut open and not new ones… the one I ate and threw up was just my lose.. Raw pomes frites and horrible service… The wine cooler wasn’t cold and they thought we didn’t like the tartar cause it was Italian, but it was just disgusting… Caramels and the drinks, they didn’t make, was the only thing that wasn’t horrible…

Average cocktails and horrible service. The staff is rude and unwelcoming. We decided to try it because it looked fun from the outside but once you're inside (which took forever even when there were plenty of available tables) it is not worth it at all. The host is extremely rude and the waiters ignore you. Will actively tell anyone not to come and to spend their money and time on basically any other bar in the city.
Melissa V — Google review
First and foremost don’t expect a smiling face from the staff. Their croissants are below average. And their tartines are not like the regular French breakfast. They offer you 2 small slices of bread. In the other places, you will have half of a baguette. Do not recommend it.
Halit Ö — Google review
Very unwelcoming, hostile, and angry-looking employees. Definitely not advised! The waiter was unbelievably impolite! I requested toast with jam. When I stated that it was not at all toasted, she responded, "It's toasted," with a very haughty attitude. The personnel appeared to be dissatisfied with their work in general. Do not waste your time and money for going there for an unpleasant time!
Reyhan G — Google review
Worst food I had during my vacation. The tuna (tataki) was completely dried out and with lots of nerves, 80% of the piece on my plate was not eatable. On top of that the waiter looked like he drank a bottle of vinegar before his service. Super unfriendly and angry looking staff. Definitely a no-go.
Lode ( — Google review
Nice looking place but the worst moules marinières I've ever had. Horribly over cooked and no sauce at all. Even after I told the waiter I had to argue to have just one of the two we had ordered removed from our bill. The Tea Gourmand dessert was also disappointing in presentation and its small selection.
Rachel S — Google review
Horrible! Don't come here to eat! You will be disapointed. The service is really bad. The only thing they are concerned about is getting the tables filled but when you are inside they dont look at you. I ordered a dish and asked for french fries instead of potatoes and that was oke. But when my order came i got potatoes. I asked the waiter that i had asked for french fries and at first he said that it was not possible. I asked again and he said it was possible and he would send the fries. The fries never came. We also ordered a coca cola wich never came, but when it was time to pay, they did put it on the receipt. When we told the waiter that we never got the cola he looked at us like we where lying?? The food also is not great, so there is like no reason for you to go here!!

So much fun we're coming back tomorrow. Charly took great care of us. Food was exceptional, DJ was even better. Everything you want from St Tropez but a way more reasonable price. Beach and water are pristine over on this side of the peninsula. I love the Prao, we used to come here like 20 years ago and heard that it's under new management so almost didn't come, but the new management is better than it ever used to be! This is my #1 recommendation for things to do near Ste. Maxime.

We were seated quickly up on arrival, as we had a reservation. However, it took a long while before we were proposed what we wanted to drink. It took even longer for the menus. The menu did not change much since our last time. The place is pleasant, nicely decorated, however we did not feel very welcome. The service was slow and not friendly. It felt even fake. They were at all times polite, but they did not show a smile. It even felt that there were tensions among the waitresses. This is our second time at the Prao Plage, and I believe it will be the last. The ambiance and treatment is not worth the money spent. I hope that something changes as it is a pity.

I came very often to this place in the past but this time it wasn’t pleasant This salade was 8 euros ! … I don’t mind paying but at least make an effort in the presentation ! The rest of our dishes were ok On top of that the music is so loud you can’t enjoy your food. If you want to be a beach club that’s great but either let people know they won’t be able to speak while eating or wait until the second service before blasting the music

Basically your paying for the setting Music was good but that’s about it

On our way back to our rental home in St Maxime after a full day on the beach we called and were lucky to get last minute reservations at the restaurant Prao Plage. The restaurant was so light and airy, nicely done in the French Riviera decor, with lots of space and lovely ambiance. We were even more excited to see the singer SaElle was performing as we had seen her the previous night at a different restaurant and we knew we were in for a treat. I ordered the steak, my husband ordered the veal, we both enjoyed our meals very much and our son cleared his plate which is a huge compliment from our picky eater. Our waiter was pretty busy all night, but he would take care of us when we would catch his eye. Another guy, not sure if he was a manager would stop by frequently and made sure we were looked after. Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant and return.

They charged us 22€ for 2 Iced Coffees that we did not drink because they were so sweet it was horrible. When we told them to please bring us new ones without sugar, the answer was well coffee has sugar in it and if we want new ones we need to pay again! With that attitude we wont be back and it is just not a way you treat costumers.

Just had dinner at this beautiful restaurant along the beach in St Maxime. Loved that we could valet our car, the attendant was such a nice guy and he started our La Voile experience on such a happy note. The restaurant is comfy and cozy with lights strung up on high to create a romantic, elegant atmosphere. The wine selection was great and the food was absolutely delicious. A great beach, with simply the best and most intuitive service ever experienced at a beach club and to better than a lot of 5 Star hotels. The restaurant service and food was also excellent. I would recommend it for anyone visiting the South of France, it’s not the least expensive but value for money if you like quality.
John F — Google review
Service was terrible, waited almost 2 hours for lunch without any apology or acknowledgement from the waiters. As for the food, the fish was burned and fries were drenched in oil, other dishes (burger, lamb) were ok but for the price very average. At the beach the staff was not going around and serving people, it was hard to even order anything and you had to do it personally at the bar. And they had the audacity to ask for tips upon leaving. Only good thing was atmosphere as they had nice decor. Other than that really terrible all around. Don’t recommend to anyone, there are way better options in the area.

The wine at Restaurant Les Flambeaux was delightful, and the cuisine was skillfully executed. The potatoes stood out as one of the most delectable dishes I have ever tasted, leaving me curious about their secret recipe. The service was reliable, with no complaints to be made. Considering the location, the prices were reasonable. I particularly enjoyed the restaurant's off-the-beaten-path setting. However, there were a few minor issues: overcooked fish and an excessively oily salad.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Sainte Maxime. They got always great menus with awesome food! And also the prices are fair and staff is great and very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a restaurant with local food this is the place. We tried lots of restaurants and there's nothing compareable in quality and price. Best choice is the menu which is 27€ for a starter, main and desert. You should make a reservation by the way.

Food was rather forgettable, a lot of store bought canned vegetables for the garnishes, and sauces that ended up spoiling everything that was in the plate. Both the taste and the presentation are stuck in the 80’s. A bottle of water (750 ml) 7 euros.

Wine was delicious. Food was prepared very well. The potatoes were probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. I want to know their secret. Service was solid. No complaints. Prices are reasonable considering the area. I loved the location in that it is slightly off the beaten path. The only minor complaints are the fish was overcooked and the salad was extremely oily. They also had really cool champagne glasses I'd never seen before.

Very pleasant, small, seemingly family owned French restaurant. Competent if not flashy food preparation. Very typical menu of the area with mixture of seafood, meats, salads. A salad with toasted fish roe was a nice variation. Small, typical wine list with some local wines and some more distant French bottles. Reasonable prices and value Seemingly appreciated by locals, would not hesitate to return.

What used to be one of our favourite places in Sainte Maxime, sadly devolved into an overpriced tourist trap. Unaware tourists could easily be charged €9 per liter of water (while in France you can always get water for free), and be prepared to pay €30-€40 for overcooked meat/fish with an underwhelming side dish. There are plenty of restaurants in Sainte Maxime and surroundings that offer better food in a better setting for a better price. I cannot recommend anyone to choose this restaurant over the many much better options.

I really liked this restaurant. Food was delicious, we got a table for four in a Sunday by the beach without a reservation, good vibes and music, and good service!

The 13 euro beer was in a disgusting state, it had no foam, I sent the beer back and they tried to put something in it and make it foam. Then they brought back the amount of beer below the 50cl line, then I went to the bar because this beer was missing. They all enjoyed the evening beer together. Bravo to you.

All the tables facing the water covered by umbrellas...literally empty from at least 2 until 730 and they won't let people sit there. I've spent the last two months coming her3 three days per week. Literally always have to negotiate why I should be able to sit in these EMPTY seats. Unbelievably stupid policy. I can't put up with it anymore. Never coming again....especially with mediocre food and high prices. At this rate they won't be open next year anyway.

Ordered the ribs and to be honest they tasted like they were bought from Lidl pre cooked, the seasoned wedges were frozen wedges again from lidl.. really disappointed in this plate of frozen rubbish cost €5 Charfe €25. fortunately for me I won't be eating in this establishment again, I tour around Europe eating some fantastic foods in all kinds of places and these are lucky to have 1 star. I ordered a coffee at the end of the meal whilst my wife had a desert and it never arrived.. after 30mins it was time to go and then they remembered !!! poor show guys. There's plenty of places which serve much better food in the area.. keep up serving this frozen rubbish and you won't be around much longer. The only two things that were any good were the DJ and the location.
Gareth — Google review
Great beach club with friendly staff and a good variety of food options. You can even rent towels 👍 The umbrellas could have been a bit bigger to protect better from the sun.

The invoice was the only item which came as expected. You don't need to be in the business to see that they have a management issue. Not enough qualified staff to handle the tables. No clear assignment of tasks, no memory of what was ordered, they look as if they would leave a campsite wearing sunglasses at 21h and counting. We had tapas and dishes to share. The dishes came without cutlery we had to ask. The wine came 10mn after it was ordered. Out of the two beers one arrived after 10mn. The food was OK nothing great. It's a shame as the location is top notch.
Marc S — Google review
The location is pretty nice, we came early on a Sunday got a nice table without reservation. The server was a little slow but overall service was ok. The food was a lot and good. After a while one stuff member came with a “pesticide spray canister” and startet to spray (we don’t know what) underneath all the umbrellas… believe it or not but we and others were sitting on the table and had food… That’s an absolute no go.

Mahi-Plage is a stunning beachside restaurant that offers an idyllic setting for special occasions, such as weddings. With breathtaking views of the azure sea, it provides a perfect backdrop for memorable meals. Guests have praised the exceptional service from the beach staff and valet parking team, making their experience even more enjoyable. While dining here may lean towards the mid to upper price range typical of coastal establishments, many visitors find the delicious food and charming atmosphere worth every penny.
Thank you Mahi-plage team. We were at the beach for 3 days. The service of the beach personal was outstanding, thx to 2 guys! The other personal was very nice at well, it has a superb park service. We ate there once, it was good but not outstanding. Sure the prices are a bitte middle/upper class, but thats every beach place in the region. I would recommend it to anyone.

This place is a disappointment. We reserved for lunch. After waiting for no reason and being ignored by the staff we were shown to our table. But the chaos didn't stop there: We received the moules without the frites, those arrived when we were done. The waiters were walking through the restaurant several times to "find" the table for their order and asked the people if it's theirs. The (wrong) salad received was taken away again and probably served at the right table. Waiting times in general not acceptable. The pasta with crevettes were plenty but definitely lacked taste. Fries tasted like old fat. Absolutely unacceptable for the prices.

We made a beach reservation with a meal reservation in the restaurant. The beach is fine and the bedding is comfy but it is far to expensive as it is right next to the free beach. The drinks are overpriced, far overpriced, 8 euros for a bottle of sparkling water. The food is simple, really simple and i wouldn't say that it is of the highest quality, honestly i was really dissapointed. The car service and drink delivery at the beach are nice perks but not worth the price for either. As someone who travels alot also trough the South of France i gotta say this was a really dissappointing experience for the price we paid. Food and drinks for 4 adults, 4 kids and a baby including 4 beach beds we paid 400 euros for a 6 hour stay.

Excellent beach location with beautiful view, but the service was slow and our food was underwhelming, we were charged 120 eur for a fish for two, cannot believe it was one kg… We had much better experience in other beach clubs near Saint Tropez.

Stay away! Very poor service at high prices. We came with our baby, around 10-11 am,sleeping in the pram, and asked the staff not to arrange glasses, tables around us for the next 15 min while we were having a quick breakfast in “peace”.Additionally we asked for the music to be turned down a bit as we were the only customers and the baby was sleeping. Both requests were turned down by the “manager”. The waiter hit some glasses at the next table, the baby woke up, we quickly ate our omelettes, drank our coffees/juices, paid 45 euro for 2 persons and left in a hurry, at 15-20 min from arrival. Poor service at high prices.

Poor from the beginning to the end… We had 5 tiny little poor scampi in a plate for €21, nothing special, main course was tasteless, absolute rip off… One star for the view and my 2 year old child love his butter pasta (no pesto, no tomato sauce ) lol

Absolutely amazing food. This restaurant is somewhat hidden away from the lights of the main strip but I can undoubtedly say it had the best food I’ve had in my week in France. The pork confit was spectacular and even the potatoes were amazing. Make sure you go hungry. I didn’t leave a crumb on my plate! My fiancé also had the apricot salad which came with a spall pastry that had the apricot in it on top of the salad and she absolutely loved. For desert we had the banana chocolate crumble which came out so nice and warm we couldn’t wait to eat it from its aroma. The chef really is a master of his craft, everything was spectacular. The waiter also spoke amazing English which always helps with us Canadians who can speak some but not a lot of French. Easily a 5 star rating and I wish we were in town for another night so I could go back to try something else!

The Saint Barth restaurant overlooks the pool area and the sea, with lovely views. The food is excellent, with a wide range of options for kids. The service is always polite and friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. There's even a singer and one person band on a Tuesday night!
Great beach club! Attentive service, although beach clubs like this are mostly for adults, they cater perfectly for kids too. Ideal for families who understand how to balance this. Food quality is above for what you expect, and the portions generous. Price level is what you expect at the Riviera, but not Monaco/ st Tropez. We went twice in our holiday and both times we weren't disappointed. Chapeau for the owner and adequate team! Recommended place for young adults and families (try to keep your kids in place so everybody can enjoy the pool;-))

Great place where you can look at the swimming pool with its bar in the middle and see the sea beneath from the terrace. We came for dinner on the Belgian national day. Fortunately it was quite late so there were only a few noisy die-hards remained. Otherwise the place was pretty empty. Therefore the service had plenty of time and was really friendly and caretaking. The food was really good. We had foie gras and it's prepared there. And then the linguine with morels, truffles and foie gras (again). Soooo good. And the wine... We had a Côte du Rhône from Jaboulet. Just the best wine I had had in weeks.

We have been here at the beginning of June on a weekday and we had a beautiful and relaxing day as a couple. We booked beach lounges ahead and depending of the weekday or number of persons we would recommend to make reservations in advance. The whole area is very clean and has a nice polished atmosphere. The pool is very clean and well temperatured. We also had lunch in the resturant and yes, it is on the pricier side, but in our opinion worth it. The portions are quite big (especially compared to other restaurants at the Cote d'Azure) and are very delicious. The staff is very kind and trying to comfort you all day.

We decided to have a day in St Maxime and had lunch at this restaurant. Although it was nearly full they did have a spare table so the four of us sat for a very enjoyable lunch. We all had the 3 course set menu (€36) which had a choice of three items on each course. All of our selections were very good, the service friendly, and the atmosphere excellent. Would certainly return

Delicious and very tasty classic cuisine with an Asian touch. Appetizers were homemade spring rolls and beef carpaccio, both very tasty. The main course was salmon marinated in honey and veal medallions, both of which were an extremely positive surprise in terms of taste and quality. Outstanding. The appeal of this restaurant is the 3-course set menus at €25 or €35 depending on what you want. Generally speaking the food was good for the price it was at. However, my beef steak was a little too peppery and my rum baba had excessive amounts of rum. The others at my table ordered different dishes and had no complaints whatsoever. The ambience and service of the restaurant was good. I would come here again to try something else on the menu but for the price, it’s well worth it.

Watch out for the bill! The food is ok regarding pricing, directly at Sainte Maxime's promenade. But do not expect hugh quantity. It is enough for smaller people. Regarding the bill, they charged us one menu more than we have ordered. That happend to us twice within one year. So that is probably the way they work! So do they try to rip off?

Extremely disappointing! It frustrates me to pay good money for a meal as bad as this. Seafood tagliatelle clearly was made weeks ago and came from the freezer, with an attempt to spice it up with an excessive amount of (dried) aneth, while my wife’s salad niçoise was a sad attempt with over-cooked dry tuna slices and tomatoes you wouldn’t feed to a goat. If only their chef could experience the meal we enjoyed for the same price a week ago in Cape Town - shame on you.

Me and my friends went here for some breakfast 3 days in a row because of the amazing food, however, we were met with this rude waitress. For eachtime we went there to eat, the ruder and meaner he got. He completely ignored us, didn’t even look at us while we were waiting to order for 30 minutes. When he finally came to our table, he was unspeakably rude, just completely nasty in his behaviour. At the end of our meal we had to tell this to the boss of the restaurant about his behaviour. Plage Les Élephants, situated along the coast, is a narrow stretch of sandy beach that takes its name from the famous Babar children's books by Jean and Cecile de Brunhoff. In the 1930s, the couple owned a house here, and it was in this picturesque bay that Jean found inspiration to depict Babar's delightful balloon-trip honeymoon with Celeste in his book "The Travels of Babar" (1937).
Our first time for diner. It was a joy, with the sea close, the sun going down and enjoying the view and an excellent meal. In our view whether lunch or diner the restaurant serves great quality, with excellent attentive service. Élephants has invested in the interior this year and it shows. Well done. This beach club is certainly one of the best along the coast. Let's hope for a long time to come. 👍

Very nice Ambiente and friendly staff. The beverages are a bit pricey (eg. 6€ for a Coke 0,33) but for the location I think these prices are normal. The food was delicious and good looking.
Fabio — Google review
Beautiful restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. There were two different set menus to choose from as well as the a la carte menu. The food was absolutely divine, every course was delicious and the waiters/waitresses offered great advice on menu items. This restaurant provided my husband with the best vegetarian food we found on our tour of the south of France with a number of different dishes he could choose from (which we found to be quite a rare occurence). L'hermitage is a little off the beaten track at the end of the main strip of restaurants in Sainte Maxime and is a little more costly than some but definitely worth every penny we paid!!
Roisin M — Google review
On the positives its nice clean and on the beach front away from the drain smells you get from some places in Sainte maxine. It stops there. To set you off you get the standard olive tapanard and bread, but the bread was stale. I selected the 3 course set menu, prawns to start with a Salad. It was swimming in oily dressing, the I had A white fish dish which was ok, but surprisingly it too was swimming in this time olive brine and it made it almost impossible to eat. The sorbet was my dessert and it was ok and saved my tastebuds from certain oil overload! My wife for a ceaser salad with no dressing and loads of bacon with little actual salad in it??? To top it off we had the pleasure of being charged €9 For a bottle of mineral water you can get from the supermarket for 15c VERY POOR!

La Badiane offers a unique dining experience with a 5-course green menu. The first three dishes were exceptional, but there was a slight hiccup when the dessert was served as the fourth and final course due to the waiter forgetting the cheese course. Despite this, the restaurant's attentive service and excellent wine pairing recommendations left a lasting impression. Guests praised the restaurant for its delicious food, perfect service, and appropriate wine selection.
Visited as the last dinner during our family vacation. Run by owner-chef and a manager. The manager provided one of the best dining experiences we had during our vacation and every dish was fantastic!

An outstanding meal in every respect. From the amuse - a pea emulsion with herring ‘chips’ and yuzu capsules - to the entrees of chicken and veal, all were perfectly cooked and presented. Service was impeccable with excellent recommendations for wine to accompany our meals. This is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Sainte-Maxime.

Wonderful experience, I really recommend. The vegetarian menu was really good, so was the non vegi option (family told me). The pairing of wine with meal was really nicely done and the cheese selection very pleasant. Good place to go!

That this restaurant lost it’s Michelin star is a crime. The food is excellent, tasty, fresh and beautifully plated. The service is on point - even though there is only one waiter, he is personable, professional and quick, and his wine suggestions matched the meal and our described taste perfectly. We had 8 courses (Menu Carte Blanche) and among the many highlights the raviolo with frog legs and a basil cream especially stood out. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Nestled in a serene rural setting, Le Mas Saint Donat is a charming hotel that exudes rustic charm with its cozy rooms featuring inviting terraces. Guests can unwind by the outdoor pool or indulge in delightful meals at the on-site restaurant. While I haven't stayed overnight, my lunch experience was memorable; the ambiance was warm and welcoming, complemented by friendly and efficient staff. The food was flavorful and satisfying, though some might find it slightly pricier than expected for what’s offered.

Beach was nice and clean and not too busy. We visited on a Tuesday. A bit difficult to get in and out of water if you don't have rubber shoes and are of a certain age. Pebbles hurt your feet if water a bit choppy. Having said that managed to swim and also found free parking on the road.

You must locate this seaside eatery that can only be spotted by their crimson shelter on the roadside. It was my inaugural visit to this establishment. Upon descending the stairs leading to the restaurant, you will find yourself right beside the shoreline. Adorning the beach are vermilion and golden parasols accompanied by corresponding reclining chairs. The eatery is situated just behind them, making it effortless to secure a table for midday sustenance.
You have to look for this beach restaurant as it's only visible by their red canopy on the side of the road. This was our first time here. Once you go down their stairs to the restaurant you will be right on the beach. They have red and yellow umbrellas on the beach with matching beach loungers⛱️. The restaurant is right behind them so easy to reserve a table for lunch. We had a wonderful lunch of Salads with huge shrimp and fresh Tuna. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have nice clean bathrooms and a shower for cleaning off the sand. Definitely will be back again.

We showed up, three families, 12 in total. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Each and every one of the servers were nice and approachable. My family had the steak, pasta and nuggets and all the food was good. Finally, we were having a lot of Taxi problems to try to go shopping and the owner went above and beyond to help us solve that problem! I honestly cannot emphasize enough how nice they were. We will be returning and we recommend this beach restaurant with our highest marks.

Family run beach restaurant ; one brother cooks the other runs the bar. The restaurant is informal with relaxed french ambience, and nice location on the water’s edge, closer than most of the other Nartelle beach restaurants. Menu is very very french, and regularly modified on blackboards, with nice selection of meats and fishes; but lacks a choice of salads or vegetables…cheapest bottle of rose is an eye watering 34euro
Alex G — Google review
we had a lovely evening with friends, delicious food, impecable service and incredible atmosphere as you are literally on the beach, on the bay of Saint Tropez. Prices are on the higher end but fair all tjings considered. I had a reine jeane salad and I can recommend it, it is a variation on the salad niçoise, with raw Tuna instead instead of the usual cooked in brine. For dessert we noticed that the baba au rhum was greatly superior to the fraisier.

From start to finish, the dining experience at Le Pingouin Bleu was truly outstanding. The staff were incredibly welcoming and approachable, with a genuine down-to-earth demeanor. The menu offered an extensive selection of delectable dishes, complemented by an impressive wine list. The cuisine itself was nothing short of exceptional; each bite bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. What truly set this restaurant apart was its unbeatable beach view, creating a picturesque backdrop for a memorable meal.
Great location right on the beach front, perfect for the barefoot dining experience. Welcome & service was friendly and we were seated at one of the outdoor terrace tables right in the front. From the menu we selected the "Assiette de Crevettes" (see image), the Mussels and the Grilled Espadon Steak, further enhanced by some great white wine and a great kind of home brew beer. The room was great. And most of the staff was kind and friendly. Unfortunately we had to leave at 6:45 which when we went to check out the man at the front desk told we we were not allowed to check out till we pay and he was not able to take our money. I wrote a note saying I will pay online and he said that’s not an option. We had an Uber waiting to take us to the airport and we almost missed our flight because they didn’t let us leave. When I said I was going to leave he said he was going to CALL THE POLICE on us for not paying. Even though we said we would pay now, or pay online. We did everything we could to pay and leave but he had to call his boss. Absolutely garbage policy, it really ruined the whole experience. They need to make it so you can pay the full amount online or put someone at the front that lets you pay. This is the closest I’ve ever felt to being kidnapped since I was unable to leave on my own free will.

Frankly, a magical place. Location exceptional. Pvt parking for free and very friendly welcome. It‘s a small place family-owned, hence don‘t expect chain-4*-atmosphere, however, is this what you want for a great beach-place. Believe me, this is much better. Btw, pool; 5* and 24hrs use - try to beat that ;). Also, just across St. Tropez, walk to the village, get the green boat and avoid all stress of driving there + get a sunset boat-ride back :).

Going out for dinner with a three-year-old isn't always the easiest. We visited Sainte-Maxime during our holiday in France and while walking around town we made reservations at Les 3 Rois. What I believe was the owner was so friendly and especially to our son. He loved it. The food was delicious. My partner had the special, Saint Pierre fish, which was rather expensive but tasted lovely and was worth the money. I really enjoyed my seafood pasta. We had a great dinner and would highly recommend this restaurant.

We wanted to like our time here, but we’re greatly disappointed. We’ve eaten here before in the winter, and it was a good experience. This time, in August, it was horrible. Overpriced, heavy up-selling from the server, and the final food fell very short of decent. We decided to try the special, and because we had eaten here before, we decided to pay the higher price for this special. The Tomahawk de Boeuf. We asked questions to make sure we knew what to expect – and it was the opposite of what was sold to us; dry, chewy, overcooked. Do not recommend.
Tanya L — Google review
disappointing. A whole Dorada was cooked well, but the garnishings were poor and the whole meal bland and uninteresting as a result. With the seafood linguine, the seafood was reasonably good, although well done, but the linguine was overcooked and the marinara overpowering. The house red wine sounded good but was average at best. This on a sunday night.

I'm sad to say this has been the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Not bashing the chef, just the service. Was ordering my meal, the waiter asked my wife what she wanted and she only wanted a wine as she was not hungry. Apparently this waiter thought he owned the place, and proceeded to refuse service to her because she would not order food publicly harassing her as he continued to talk about this being a place of business. I would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy, especially with so many other options and professional staff in the city.

It was a very disappointing visit, and we did not enjoy the food or drinks with our friends. Everything was expensive and lacked quality. DON’T go there

The best staff you could ask for, one Michelin star cuisine, and a beautiful view.

Great little place where everything is fresh and homemade and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Right across the street from the beach. And the prices are fair too.

Service is slow even when the terrace isn't full. Friendly serving staff. Good assortment of menu items, prices are adequate for the location. Calamari rings are too fat, burgers are soggy and are prepared extremely rare. Ribs were good, all other dishes were nauseatingly greasy.

Avoid at all costs if you’re a tourist or foreigner. We were customers here every day on our trip this time round and spent a lot of money there. Today my wife went to the toilet as we sat down to order and the owner started banging on the toilet door telling her to get out. I can only assume he thought she was someone using the toilet who’s not a customer. She was horrified. Absolute disgusting behaviour and when we talked to him he got aggressive, defensive and abusive. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional and disgusting behaviour in my life. As we left he was still swearing from the kitchen. Completely unacceptable and we won’t be returning. We will report this behaviour to our hotel where we stay every year. I find it shocking that a business owner thinks it’s ok to treat it’s customers this way. Saint Maxime is a fantastic place and we come here every year. The service and hospitality in this town is fantastic in general but this place is a disgrace and gives hospitality a bad name.

Nestled near the beach, Les Santolines offers a charming and casual atmosphere for travelers seeking a relaxing getaway. The hotel features modest accommodations, some boasting lovely views of the Gulf. Guests can enjoy delightful dining options and take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool. With its prime location just steps from the sandy shores and only a short stroll to town, it’s an ideal spot for those wanting to explore local attractions.
Superb. We had room 15, the apartment, it has it's own private secluded terrace, air conditioning in main room and main bedroom, two bathrooms cooking facilities, and a cleaner attends every day. It is, quite literally, over the road from the beach, but you need not leave the apartment because of the lovely pool with loungers around it. It was height of summer and yet we only ever encountered a few other people around the pool. Thoroughly recommended! St. Maxime itself is not that interesting and we only found a couple of decent restaurants, but that has nothing to do with this wonderful hotel

We stayed at Les Santolines for 2 nights at the start of October. Very easy check in. Characterful room overlooking the garden and pool, with views of the beach and bay. Fantastic location, an easy walk into Ste. Maxime. Breakfast in the pool house has plenty of choice. Only tiny issues are non-existent soundproofing and a shower you'd need to be 5 feet tall to get under, but these are minor and easily overlooked. Recommended.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and spacious room with a nice view from the balcony, close to The beach

(Translated by Google) Great hotel. Great staff. - He also likes to give insider tips and speaks many languages. Free parking included. Very short distances to the beach and 10 minutes into town. The direct location on the main street is a bit annoying at night. Still all five stars. Delicious loving breakfast. (Original) Tolles Hotel. Super Personal.
