Cathedral
Catholic church
Frejus Cathedral is a medieval Roman Catholic church known for its Gothic architecture and intricate carvings. The cathedral's cloister boasts rare 14th- and 15th-century painted wooden ceiling panels depicting various scenes in vivid detail. Additionally, visitors can explore the well-preserved octagonal 5th-century baptistery, featuring Roman columns. Part of the larger Cite Episcopale complex, the cathedral stands out with its cube-shaped tower.
Very old, beautiful cathedral. Do not miss one of France’s oldest baptisteries from around 500 (the other is in Aix-e-P), immediately at the left from the street entry, before entering the cathedral. On Mondays you cannot visit the adjacent cloister.
Pedro P — Google review
Beautiful cathedral in the heart of the old town. Was fortunate enough to catch a wedding while we enjoyed a beers in the square
Bruce W — Google review
The cathedral and cloister have a very rich history and are definitely worth a visit. Entrance to the cathedral is free, but you'll need to buy a ticket to access the cloister (6 euro per adult). I recommend to watch the video which plays in one of the cloister rooms to understand the marvellous woodwork and paintings. Don't expect a large museum, it's quite small and you'll probably won't spend more than 30 minutes, unless you want to study each and every wood painting.
Matthijs K — Google review
Unique painting in the abbaye, you can't miss that one if you are around

Nestled in the heart of Provence, Le Bouchon Provençal has recently been revitalized by the talented duo, Sébastien and Frédérique Mondoulet. This charming establishment offers a delightful experience that embodies the essence of French living. Guests rave about the excellent wine selection and fresh, traditional cuisine with a unique twist that tantalizes the taste buds. The warm and passionate service adds to the inviting atmosphere, making every visit memorable.
10 out of 10! Husband and wife owned restaurant that will make you feel definitely at home. Great service and AMAZING food made with quality ingredients. Plus, adorable place. Highly recommend!!

Amazing food and lovely friendly service! We were blown away by how tasty and beautifully presented everything was. Quiet and homely atmosphere. Also dog friendly :)
Diana A — Google review
Wow this place is absolutely incredible. The lamb shank is, without a doubt, the most flavourful shank I've ever had! The sauce was so rich and delicious and the portion was very generous. My fiancé had the bouillabaisse which again was incredible and filling. The lady serving us was very friendly and full of zest and helped us translate some of the menu with no problem. We didn't reserve because it was a Monday but I think we were very lucky! We went at 1930 and after us they only let one more couple in and then they were turning people down all night so I'd definitely recommend reserving or turning up early during the week. The only downside is the service was very very slow with just the one server for the whole restaurant of about 30 diners. Not sure if this was a one-off but be prepared to take your time there. We didn't mind while we had drinks but it got a bit frustrating towards the end when we wanted to leave. I would have had a dessert but we waited 30 mins without being seen to so we just asked for the bill so we could go. Having said all that, the entire experience and quality of the food makes up for it and it still warrants 5 stars. I'd definitely go back!

Outstanding food and service! Hope to come again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ YOU MUST TRY THE TRUFFLE CROQUE MONSIEUR!

Our 4th visit to this lovely restaurant. We can't stay away! Food perfect. No idea how your chef makes that pork taste divine. The lady serving is a sight to behold, like a bumble bee tending flowers! She flies around with helpful advice and smiles. See you next year. Merci. 💜

Spent a bit looking around for the right place to have lunch at and eventually chose Le Bouchon Provencal. It was immediately clear we made the right choice - staff is very friendly and professional and speak excellent English, so we did not mind passing on an opportunity to practice our French. The food is 5 stars and the location a big plus being slightly tucked away from the busiest part of town. Very reasonably priced too, will definitely return.

Church
The Saint-Raphael Archaeological museum showcases a variety of historical findings ranging from prehistoric artifacts to Roman excavations and medieval catacombs. Despite its unassuming exterior, the museum offers a wealth of fascinating exhibits and is definitely worth visiting. Visitors can even climb the bell tower for stunning views of the town, seaside, and hills. The exhibits are well explained (mainly in French) with lovely settings that include an iconic garden.
The "Mythologies" exhibition in Saint-Raphaël is a true gem. For just 3€ per adult, you can explore two fascinating locations that bring ancient legends to life in a fresh, engaging way. Each space invites you to step into the world of gods and heroes, sparking your imagination and offering a unique cultural experience. It’s an easy walk from the town center, making it a perfect stop during your visit. I thoroughly enjoyed the blend of art and history—definitely worth the visit!
Matthieu A — Google review
Easy to miss this free gem but well worth the visit. Well laid out and some English language guides otherwise my phone translated the rest. The church is amazing as you can see the development from the fifth century to the twelfth like a cut away drawing. View from the tower worth the climb.
Jeremy L — Google review
Visited this hidden gem on a Thursday in August while staying in Saint Raphael at a nearby air BNB. The museum was recommended in the guide from tourist office and definitely did not disappoint. The museum exhibitions ranged from paleolithic history to modern day diving. The only downside was that the only English text was a fairly short visitor booklet, but you can't expect everything to be spoonfed. Furthermore, the church tower and crypts were amazing with good views from the top and an amazing insight into the older church beneath the modern day church. I particularly liked the archaeological gardens showing the history of plants in the area in terms of their introductions and use in medicine. If you are staying in Saint Raphael or just visiting for a day this free experience is definitely worth your time.
Mackenzie R — Google review
Wonderful museum with the best view in St Raphael. The museum is archaeological in nature, but has a really cool scuba diving history exhibit as well as WW2 exhibit. Completely free. You can go through the whole museum in as little as 30 minutes. We spent about an hour
Matthew K — Google review
A historical museum with proper guidance and directions. You can even go on top of tower to enjoy the city and an external garden to sit for some time. The museum is not far from old town and city town hall.
Travelling H — Google review
Lovely small museum, with nice settings and well explained legends (abeilt mainly in French). The garden is also iconic.
Jerome B — Google review
You’ll find this small museum in the middle of the center. Free of charge. You see a lot of history coming by. Pity that there were no explanations in English.

Tucked away in the charming coastal town of Fréjus, the Porte des Gaules stands as a remarkable symbol of the area's rich Roman history. This grand gateway was once part of an ancient wall and has witnessed centuries of change, reflecting Fréjus' vibrant past as a hub for trade and culture during Roman times. As you explore this historic site, you'll find that it remains impressively preserved, allowing visitors to appreciate its original features without excessive restoration.

Plage de Saint-Aygulf is a spacious beach located about 4km west of the port, offering a relaxing day by the sea. The beach features shallow waters and fine sand, making it ideal for families with young children. It is equipped with amenities such as parking, showers, toilets, and a beach bar. Additionally, the area's exposure to wind makes it popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Love this beach, I dream of it when I'm back in Bavaria! Perfect sand, laid back, great parking, toilets available and small cafes if you need a snack. Palm trees give some protection but for a day at the beach a parasol or beach tent is advisable. The water is perfect and shallow enough for little ones to have fun!
Vincent B — Google review

Paul B — Google review
Great public beach! I remember it from 20 years ago and not much has changed. Clean soft sand and clean water. A couple of public showers are available. Public bathroom was out of order though. The paid parking spots are filled fast during peak season. A couple of palm tress but very little shade - umbrella is recommended. Alternatively theres a private area where you can rent beach chairs with umbrellas. The beach gets pretty crowded on nice days.

Endroit plutôt bien tenu. Et, oui comme les précédents posts beaucoup d'hommes devant l'entrée de l'établissement ce qui rend difficile l'accès à l'entrée. Difficile de stationner.

We had an unforgettable experience with Jet Fun Evasion during our recent trip to France. My son and I enjoyed a 30-minute jet ski rental that was worth every euro of the €80 fee. The staff were friendly, professional, and took time to explain safety procedures, ensuring we felt confident before heading out on the water. The equipment was well-maintained and the ride was an exhilarating highlight of our holiday.

Safety first ? Not here ! Dangerous place for COVID 19 ! Reception is oke and friendly, but behind that there is not organisation at all. (Far too) Many people waiting and not knowing who to follow. No management.

OMG!!!! PLEASE TAKE NOTE!!! If you are not French, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! A Psycho and very aggressive instructor who almost wanted a fight, he managed to take all the fun out of the experience while we was out on the water we went near the boundary, not out of it and me and my 10yr old boy recieved a 5 minute psycho rant! I dont mind firm but fair but this was another level all together, this guy needs xanax! The customer service was abismal and obviously prefer the french crowd to tourists. I was left feeling belittled and my child left felling very scared. 0 STARS... You have been warned!
Benji L — Google review
Very arrogant and rude people that prefer French people as their customers rather than other tourists. We went to an other company in Frejus which where very kind and happy with us as their customers. I would recommend to go to any of the other company's in the region rather then these guys.

Driving a jet-ski is a lot of fun but this place managed to take the fun out of it. Worst customer service i have ever experienced and we had to wait 4 times longer then they said to begin with. When we got out there with the very angry instuctor, we were not alowed to have fun with the jet-skies and if we got a little bit out of the alowed area we got screamed at for a good 5min. Relaxing and enjoying the sea were not possible. OVERPRICED AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Do not go here.. 0 stars!

Very exiting tour and enthusiastic crew. 🙌🙌 Polite crew. Guided us safely back through the waves.

Beach Esclamandes is a 600-meter stretch divided into four distinct areas catering to different preferences. It includes a family-friendly section, a designated area for kitesurfing, a naturist beach, and an area where dogs are allowed. During the summer season, first aid stations are available along with showers and toilets. The beach features a unique setting where a river mouth meets the sea separated by a sandbank, allowing visitors to cross through the river water to reach the sea.

Sandy nudist beach. It was a nice mix of couples myself and my wife both felt very relaxed. Nobody was staring at you. When we were there you had plenty of space. There were a few people walking from the textile beach next to it for a look but really not that many and they seemed more embarrassed Would highly recommend this beach even through it is sandy (we much prefer rocks or pebbles)
Ewan T — Google review
Beautiful, clean sandy beach. 10 eur parking for the whole day, naturist zone beyond Bambusa Beach, easy accessible (Argens river flows straight to the sea, not turning as you see from satellite).
Andrei U — Google review
As the public main beach was over crowded we decided to head down the end at the naked beach. My wife and I had a bit if anxiety about seeing all old people but to our surprise a lot of younger people were to be seen and relaxing at leas crowded side of this beach Very respectful people around, beach is clearly indicated by means of boards, etc... Will come back again for sure
Gianluca L — Google review
Beautiful beach and lots of parking, my advice is to arrive early because it fills up rather quickly. The naturist section is on the northern part of the beach and is indicated with a sign, close to the mouth of the river. Very mixed crowd, and everyone is welcome.
