Acme Lowcountry Kitchen is a bustling beach grill located on Isle of Palms, offering a delightful blend of southern coastal cuisine with fresh, locally sourced seafood. Whether you're in for brunch, a family dinner, or happy hour, this restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience. The menu features signature dishes like crab cakes and gouda grits fries alongside handcrafted cocktails.
Acme Lowcountry Kitchen absolutely blew me away. I’ve had shrimp and grits all over the South, but nothing compares to what they serve here — hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Their shrimp are also local, Perfectly cooked shrimp, creamy grits, and flavors that hit every note just right. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and just appreciate the moment. The staff was equally impressive — warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. You can tell they care about the food and the people. The whole vibe is relaxed but polished, and it made for an unforgettable meal. Acme is awesome

If you are looking for a casual spot with delicious food, Acme is a great choice. We did a walk in with 7 people and were seated right away. The servers were very friendly. This place is known for their shrimp and grits and I understand why. They have 6 different variations of their signature dish so definitely something for everyone. I went with the Isle of Palms shrimp and grits and it was DELICIOUS. I am still thinking about the blackened shrimp. We also ordered the fried green tomatoes which were also a hit!
Ashley S — Google review
Wow, the shrimp and grits "Lowcountry" style was amazing. The shrimp were fresh and the grits were delicious. Also had a great old fashion. My wife had a delicious combo of the best crab cake ever, scallops and shrimp. Server was friendly and very good. She wasn't pushy when we hung out a little after we ate. Thanks for the fantastic hospitality!!
James Z — Google review
Take a break from the beach! Come, ask for Jessica and enjoy your meal with awesome service. First time there, it won't be the last. Wife had a salmon salad for lunch, it was good, I enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and a local Indian pale ale. Desert was cheese cake and it was yummy!
Chip M — Google review
Blackened shrimp succotash is superb. Tried the grit fries this visit and I could drink that Gouda cheese sauce (wish there was about double the amount to go with the massive grit fries personally). Also tried a few desserts, everyone loved their dishes.
Chris G — Google review
Absolutely out of this world delicious. Five+ stars easily and a favorite in the Charleston area. Our server was sweet, attentive, and very helpful in helping make decisions. The location had onsite parking, plenty of seating, and was great for both indoor and outdoor. The food and drink were UNREAL delicious, especially the desserts I wish we lived nearby and could go weekly! Will absolutely be back!
Tim S — Google review
This was amazing seafood. It started out with the wedge, which was a beautiful presentation and delicious. My wife and I had the mahi-mahi and the swordfish which were terrific. Very light and flavorful. I had a side of grilled shrimp which was just OK because there wasn’t a lot of flavor but the rest of the food, including the sweet cornbread was pretty awesome. I would highly recommend eating here.

Food was good. No substitutions. Waitress was nice, helped me decide and helped someone else in my party order. Wasn’t a big fan of the fried green tomatoes but everything else was absolutely excellent and fresh!!

Sea Biscuit Cafe is a charming, nautical-themed spot known for its homestyle breakfast and lunch. It's a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering a range of options from light bites like homemade granola to hearty dishes such as French toast, pancakes, omelets, and sausage biscuits. Since 1986, this traditional American cafe has been serving up delicious eggs and coffee despite facing challenges like Hurricane Hugo.
Great breakfast at Sea Biscuit Cafe. I had the vegetable omellett delicious!!! Service was great! Food came out quickly and was fresh tasting. Note: CASH ONLY there is an atmosphere right outside the door.

Waitress was so friendly and food came out extremely quick. We were there at about 7:30 am after watching the sunrise. We got the fresh fruit platter which was huge, the veggie omelette and the crab omelette. Both were delish! It comes with a biscuit and home fries and personally think the prices were reasonable. The shirts were $25 which is just cheaper than any souvenir shop! (And they’re cuter)
Taylor B — Google review
Here with a group of friends. My meal, the daily omelet special was fantastic. The biscuits were perfection. My one friend cannot eat gluten. She ordered her meal with no toast or biscuits. The waitress rolled her eyes at her. My friend didn’t explain that she would have loved a biscuit, but couldn’t eat it, and she knew what to order. Then we waited forever to get our meals. The home fries were under cooked. It was a real mix of great food with poor service.
Chris L — Google review
My pup and I had brunch on the porch. The place was very busy, the food excellent (I had the crab omlette), and the service kind. It's cash only (which was fine by me!)... yawl, there's an ATM right outside for those unprepared!
Shanti W — Google review
Enjoyed the mermaid atmosphere. Had ham Eggs Benedict on the breakfast potatoes instead of the English Muffins. Busy, crowded so go early. Loved the vibe and the service! Only issue was we asked for a side of sausage gravy for hubby, so he could try it w his biscuit, the charge was 6.50!

Small cute little place somewhat near the beach. Luckily we got a table right away. Took a minute to get anyone to give us water or even acknowledge us to take our order but again small and packed so not a lot of room for too many wait staff. It was a pretty humid day when we were there and it was super hot inside, no air only fans but that's ok. Food was good. Homemade. Basic breakfast menu, eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits, etc. Everything was good. Food also came out fast. Just beware.... They only take cash.

Loved this little place!! Great start to another beautiful day at the beach!! ❤️ Don’t forget to bring CASH!! However, they are ready for you if you do forget, with a handy ATM machine out front!!!😆

Long Island Cafe is a charming bistro with a full bar that offers a seafood-centric menu along with beef, chicken, and handmade pasta options. Situated in a small shopping strip over the IOP Connector Bridge, this hidden gem has been serving locals and visitors for over 30 years. The cafe underwent renovations in 2012 when it was purchased by restaurateur Michael Proetto and Chef Ravi Scher.
What a great experience, sat outside with the family and had a wonderful feast, generous portions and pours, tasty seafood and friendly staff, I had the stuffed shrimp which was divine with mash and veggies! I have been once before and will return again, the rose bottle was great as well! Come down to IOP and have a great time at Long Island cafe!

Been coming for years, and the change in ownership is evident. Food quality was a mixed bag: tuna tartare appetizer was very good; she crab soup had a good flavor, but came out looking like a gelatinous bowl of gravy. Seafood pasta was very good, but the “lump” crabcakes were a huge miss. Not only were they fried to within an inch of their life, they seemed to be composed of mainly filling and backfin crabmeat. The $50 grouper was good, but didn’t expect it to be fried. At that price point, the flavor of the fish itself should be the star of the show. Finally, there is a 3% fee added onto the bill for credit card processing (seriously?!) Our server was excellent and very accommodating, and for that reason, we will be back. But we will be highly selective about what we order.
Anne W — Google review
This was an excellent experience! 🦀🍤🦪 We had the crab cakes, broiled shrimp, and a dozen NC oysters. They were all delicious! I highly recommend this place for a special occasion. It is pricey, but we didn't feel that it was not worth it. #seafoodlover #foodie #nomnom

We visited while on our honeymoon in Charleston. While the food was good, the portions were far too small - we left hungry even after spending $100 for 2 people. The menu also stated that entrees come with sides; however, certain entries did not include sides (which we found out after ordering). On top of all that, they charge you a fee for credit card purchases. Overall, would not recommend for what you get.
Jared S — Google review
Awesome spot to eat with friends at the beach. The professional staff made us feel like family right away. Fresh bread and appetizers came out quickly. Oysters were delicious! Generous entree portions. Only regret was not ordering the calamari... Next time!
Josh H — Google review
I’ve eaten here a few times and it’s been great each time. Amazing seafood! The Parmesan encrusted salmon and white cheddar grits are especially tasty. Update: visited again last night and got the crab encrusted grouper. It was tasty. But, I kept thinking about the salmon. Just get the salmon. You won’t regret it. Also, make a reservation… they stay very busy. The restaurant is pretty loud and seating is very close together. This usually bothers me… but, the food is so good and the service is so attentive, that it’s worth dealing with the noise and people in my personal space.
Taylor C — Google review
We were so happy to have gotten a table at this locals favorite. Thankfully, we brought a local celebrity. The nicest waitstaff. Very attentive. The best food of the week. Get reservations early. I am salivating two weeks later.
Glenn S — Google review
I made reservations here to celebrate a family members birthday. We were a party of 8. We were seated promptly by the friendly staff member. We ordered 4 kid's meals, they messed up one, caught it before they even served it to us, and corrected it. Other orders included the red fish special, crab encrusted grouper, shrimp salad, and the trio of fish, scallops, and shrimp. All were delicious. For dessert we ordered the mud pie and peanut butter ice cream pie. Amazing! We were split at the table on which dessert was best. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. The place was packed by the time we left. Noise level was high with so many people talking, an older crowd however the kid's in our group loved it.

Coda Del Pesce is an Italian-influenced restaurant located on the Isle of Palms, offering a stunning ocean view and a menu that highlights the bounty of the sea. The chef, Ken Vedrinski, brings his haute cuisine expertise to this eatery, serving up housemade pasta and delectable Italian seafood dishes. The contemporary 70+ seat restaurant features a casual yet elegant atmosphere with brick walls and reclaimed wood decor.
One of, if not THE best, restaurant for food in Charleston. Had several courses and every single one was just amazing. The chef really knows what he's doing with flavor. It can be hard to get a reservation, but totally worth it!

The Hungry Detective and new sidekick had a fabulous experience at my old new favorite Italian spot in Charleston!!! The food: started with the grouper braciole served up super hot in a La Cruset covered mini pot. Main courses….The tile fish is five stars and the plate was clean…”better than sex” Wine: Michael selected a fabulous red from Sicily!!! VERDICT: I usually do not go out on a limb but Coda de Pesce goes above and beyond the call of duty and guilty as sin for doing everything to perfection!!! Note: Sit at the bar….Michael the bartender is a true professional and knows his stuff…great suggestions that were on point!!!

This was a great experience for my wife and I. The restaurant was so cute, and our service was very helpful. She helped select a nice glass of wine to pair with my food, while also walking us through the highlights on the menu. A must visit for anyone looking for good seafood or pasta while on the island.

My wife's birthday was expertly served by Angie. She's extremely knowledgeable and kind. Eric seated us at the window for a beautiful view. The oyster appetizer was innovative and delicious. The swordfish was tender and fresh. We had a memorable time and look forward to our next visit

Coda del Pesce brings fresh, Italian‑seafood flair with dishes like calamari Bolognese, grouper braciole, and wreckfish in a crispy potato crust. Gorgeous ocean view and smart wine pours make it a memorable, elegant dinner.
Rob H — Google review
Never ate, server would not seat us tonight at all. Said they don’t do this today. No walk ins. We asked to sit at the bar and was told NO, we just opened can’t help you. Crappy customer service and poor attitude. My sister in law is handicapped and it took her a good bit to walk up the stairs, once we were turned away, she asked if she could stand for a minute to get some energy to walk down the stairs, the guy flat out said ,I dont care, but you’re not sitting here tonight.
Krysten W — Google review
We had high expectations based on reviews and descriptions. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. Food was good, but not something what you have never tried as described in other reviews. It was also inconsistent. Even bread, when one order was great and another was mediocre. Besides, it was always a feeling that we have to finish as soon as possible since other customers are in line. My "favorite" part was that we were asked to place our order for appetizers and main dishes at the same time since it is "more convenient" for the chief...
Alexander S — Google review
Words cannot explain how good the food is here. I have been to many up scale restaurants in my life and this is easily #1 on my list. Chef Ken Vedrinski puts on an absolute experience. Also, the atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming. We will be back, already planning another date night. Thank you for making our Anniversary a memorable one.

Took time in Refuge and tried their crab cake eggs Benedict and Maine cocktail, both of which were fantastic. The design and delivery of the food stood up to its flavor and It makes me want to come back for more. If you just need a coffee and some relaxation, there is an attached cafe that is quieter than the rest of the restaurant and easy to focus in. Fantastic spot!

My wife and I stopped by the Refuge Restaurant for brunch while waiting for an early check-in at our accommodations, and we enjoyed the experience! I ordered the western omelet with home fries, and it was perfectly cooked—fluffy, flavorful, and paired with crispy, well-seasoned fries. My wife got the berry pancakes, which were light, fluffy, and bursting with fresh berry goodness. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it even better. The service was top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!
Richard K — Google review
I have eaten here several times and the food is consistently cooked very well. I have never eaten anything that I did not like or lacked flavor. My group and I started with the BLT Deviled Eggs, Burrata Caprese, and She Crab Soup, all of which were outstanding. I ordered the Seared Scallops with brussel sprouts, mixed vegetables and sweet potato puree. The scallops had a parmesean crust that was simply delicous and satifying, the brussel sprouts were crispy and the sweet potato puree was creamy. The presentation of the dish was stunning that gave you that fine dining experience. My friend had the Chicken Pesto Tortellini. The dish had a lemon pesto cream sauce that was excellent. We finished with a key lime pie that was light and refreshhing along with a gluten free carrot cake, that my friend said you could not tell it was gluten free, and yes it had a light cream cheese icing. The Refuge partners with a local bakery, so no packaged desserts. The service was awesome, our waiter was polite, friendly and attentive. He was very knowledgable about the menu and dishes. He gave his top 3 for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. He also guided my friend to gluten free options on the menu. Overall I would highly recommend The Refuge.

Thursday night dinner here was great. We got the crab dip and crab soup. Soup was good but the dip was incredible i highly recommend. Both entrees were great also. Seared scallops and a Thai coconut shrimp. We got the thyme in Maine as cocktails and honestly didn’t like them. The restaurant took them back and got us something else. Great food, service and the interior was very cool.

Super cute, clean, modern restaurant. Great service & food. Espresso martini was delicious! We ordered the She Crab Soup, fresh Lobster, crab cake (HUGE), and grilled shrimp (my son said it was his favorite he's ever had), Tuna TarTar with crispy wontons.. only complaint was the wontons were not crispy- more chewy, so we just ate the tuna without.
Kristi M — Google review
Wasn't impressed, i was hoping for better. Had a basic breakfast with sausage, only got one small patty, got charged an extra 1.50 for a biscuit. The whole thing was 18.00 for something so simple. To much salt on the meal. Got charged extra for using card. Overall the experience was lacking
Jubei R — Google review
Dined at Refuge on 10/08. She-crab soup was outstanding. My wife had trigger fish and raved about it and the rice. I had shrimp and grits - the serving size was too large (I would offer a half size on the menu). Aside from the, it was excellent - grits were cooked perfectly, shrimp nicely seasoned, Tasso gravy was delicious. Waitstaff was attentive, drinks were great. Highly recommend!

Coastal Provisions is a refined eatery located at Wild Dunes Resort, offering locavore seafood and drinks in a terrace-enhanced space. The restaurant is well-known for its upscale casual cuisine, with a focus on seafood, Lowcountry, and southern fare. It provides an outdoor dining experience with an expansive menu that includes gluten-free and vegan selections, as well as cocktails served in the bar and lounge.
I've never had a bad meal or bad experience here. We travel to Wild Dunes frequently for vacation from Ohio and always enjoy the food at Coastal Provisions. I love their breakfast overnight oats, and the dinners have been spectacular. Most recently I tried the dueling lamb, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Staff are always so kind and accommodating.

Fun space and beautiful ambiance. Outdoors is a little buggy with flies but comes with the space. Their crab bisque soup is delicious. I got their summer seafood special. Unfortunately a clam was unopened and when opened, was full of mushy black sand which was a little unappetizing and I couldn’t get the sand texture out of my mouth, as it mixed with the dish. I legit thought it was something else but realized it was gooey sand. Sent it back to inform the chef but that was that. Fairly pricey but what you’d expect for the location. Cocktails (and mocktails) were really good.

Our server Connie was fantastic. Wonderful knowledge of the menu, attentive, warm and genuine. The food was excellent. Belle Du Jour Oysters were some of the best i've had..and the lamb dish was cooked beautifully. Bravo guys!

This was quite a while ago when I visited SC. I really like the atmosphere both indoor and outdoor seating. I really like the indoor design and enjoyed the outdoor esp with a really nice weather. Even though for outdoor, you will be by the pool and pool sometimes has lot of visitors and it was a bit weird to kind of looking them swimming and it could be loud. The service was okay as well with the food, and of course it’s pricey. When I am visiting, I like to eat smaller portions on different places so we order some appetizers. I recommend this place just to get the experience.

This chef is the best in Charleston and surrounding areas. We have been to many restaurants in the area and the food served here is 10/10 top quality. My son (who I am nursing) has a dairy allergy that has prevented me from eating anything containing dairy for 6 months. Every restaurant I have been to seems to use butter or some form of dairy in their preparation of the food. This restaurant was able to accommodate my dairy allergy with food items already listed on the menu. We had lunch and dinner and both meals were absolutely fantastic. They even had a dairy free desert option. I never write reviews but found it necessary because this restaurant has hands down the best food we have had in isle of palms and even in Charleston. Thank you to the chef for giving me my best dinning experience in 6 months!!!

Coconut Joe's Beach Grill is a beachfront restaurant on Isle of Palms that serves island-inspired dishes like shrimp and grits, grouper sandwich, and creamy crab dip. You can enjoy the view of the sand and surf from the deck or the rooftop, where happy hour specials include 14-ounce specialty drinks and quick-to-the-table 'zappetizers.'
Atmosphere ten stars! Great view of the beach waves! I liked the strawberry and cream drink better than the Pina Colada because the coconut was too much for me. The Island tacos were nice and spicy but delicious. Grouper bites were good as well.

Great food, amazing views, awesome vibes. Inside dinning is an option, but the roof top bar and dinning is where it is at. Located right beside public access to beach. Check out the lower patio as well with its hanging swings and photo backdrops.
Kevin T — Google review
Loved the food here. The grouper bites are delicious and filling. The portion sizes are more than acceptable. The restaurant has a great view, the servers are friendly and responsive. The only negative things I can say are the restaurant has an odd odor to it inside, and we didn't care for the cooks blasting their music over the main restaurant's music. Kinda killed the calm, enjoyable atmosphere that we were expecting.
Marvin R — Google review
Disappointing Dining, Gorgeous View Stopped by Coconut Joe’s hoping for good beachside vibes and left with a beautiful view… and a parking ticket. Let’s start with the only highlight — the location. You can’t beat the view: right on the beach, salty breeze, and a front-row seat to the ocean. It’s the perfect spot if you just want a drink and a view. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat. Service was painfully slow — we waited over 35 minutes for food, and when it finally showed up, it tasted like it had been waiting just as long under a heat lamp. Dull, bland, and overpriced. Word of warning: make sure to pay for street parking or you’ll walk away with more than just a bad taste — you’ll be funding the local government with a nice little fine. With so many great spots in the area, this one’s best enjoyed from afar — like, maybe just admire it from the beach and move on
Brownbiggy — Google review
The food was great. The Grouper bites was an appetizer was a lie. There is enough in this for 2 dinners just get a side each. These things are delicious. I also got the scallops, Coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, and blackened shrimp. The food was all very good. We sat outside and watched the dolphins.
Brian S — Google review
We stopped by Coconut Joe’s on Isle of Palms during our vacation, and it was exactly the kind of laid-back, beachy spot we were hoping for. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—fun signage, casual seating, and definitely all the “beach vibes only” energy promised at the entrance. We tried a little bit of everything, from the fried pickles and gator bites to the coconut shrimp, grilled seafood, and burgers. The portions were generous, and everything came out fresh and hot. Highlights were the coconut shrimp (crispy, juicy, and full of flavor) and the green beans—yes, even the green beans were surprisingly good and the coleslaw was creamy. The staff was friendly, and even though the place was busy, service stayed upbeat and helpful. It felt like a real beachside tradition, and judging by the crowd, we’re not the only ones who think so. Definitely a fun, casual place to grab seafood and enjoy the relaxed vibe of Isle of Palms. Would gladly come back again!
Clemson T — Google review
Overpriced drinks. Drink tasted like straight juice and sugar (was supposed to be a whiskey drink). Terrible service. Only saw the server twice and it wasn’t even busy (wed night). Not even provided with napkins or silverwares with our food. To top it off, the server stared at what my husband was tipping on the handhelp POS. Made us feel very uncomfortable. I hope someone else has a better experience but ours wasn’t good. Will not be coming back or recommend.

The Windjammer is a lively beachfront bar and grill located at Front Beach on Isle of Palms, just a short drive from downtown Charleston. It's known for its vibrant atmosphere, live music performances by local and national acts, and a diverse food menu. The venue has been serving the Isle of Palms community since the 1970s and hosts various events such as bikini contests, volleyball tournaments, and golf tournaments during the summer season.
Came by here to grab a beer before the Allen stone concert outdoor. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. The set up outside was nice, small but spacious still and I posted up with a beach chair close to the stage. It’s a cool venue right on the beach at IOP, so I would recommend wearing sandals or flip flops since you may wanna go barefoot. It was a touch humid that day but not too hot. Overall it was a pretty chill place and I’ll have to come back and try the food next time.

They were kind enough to let us host the 4th Birthday Party for Breeze Airways. Our Charleston based team members were taken great care of by the kitchen staff and bartenders Nikki and Brad. Garc was exceptional to plan the event with and made sure all our needs were taken care of with ease! Perfect spot for a night out or a fun corporate get together by the beach! Great food, drinks, super reasonable prices, and again FANTASTIC STAFF!!!

We visited on a Friday and Saturday night, and what an incredible surprise Friday turned out to be! #Evergreen was performing outside, and the amazing #TheNovatones band playing inside was just as impressive. What a fantastic experience! Security was present to screen guests, and you could grab drinks from both the indoor and outdoor bars. When you open a tab, they give you a ticket you can use at any bar—super convenient. Next time we’re in Isle of Palms, SC, this spot is definitely on our list for great live music and a fun atmosphere!

Fun and unique music venue. Listen to your favorite band with your feet in the sand. Plenty of bars so lines are never too long. Friendly staff. Good selection of bands.

Vibes are immaculate. This is a *bar* and *club* full stop. Go for the great drinks, amazing service, and good music. Don't come for food, but the fact they offer it is a plus.

I love the Windjammer. I helped build it after Hurricane Hugo, but I I had that designated as my to go bar since I turned 18 and became beer legal. The bands that they host invarible become major label signed talent. If you ever go to Isle of Palms, SC the Windjammer is a very must see place.

Just had my first experience watching a show at this venue and it was top notch! I saw Daniel Donato play here and the atmosphere, crowd, lighting, bar staff, everything was on point. To have your toes in the sand or watch from the safety of the balcony you can’t go wrong. Make sure you come here to check out some live music ! I did not try any of the food.

Luke 'n Ollie's Pizzeria is a casual pizza restaurant with outdoor seating that features an extensive menu of Italian food. The restaurant has a full bar, accepts American Express, and offers late night hours.
We were pleasantly surprised with the pizza and service. Our 6 year old wanted pizza so we walked over from the beach to Luke 'n Ollie's. Their pizza is brick oven style. The crust was really good! The flavor was superb. Our 6 year old just kept eating! I also got a virgin daiquiri which was very tasty. They have a full bar, we so not drink but for those that do, it's there. Service was great. We weren't sure how well the kids would eat it so we only got one small pizza, but ordered another as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Pizzeria very close to the beach! Prices were good and staff was friendly. Pizza crust was a little bland, but the toppings and cheese were perfect. Side salad was good. We will return during our next visit to Isle of Palms!

Just wasn’t very good. I did not try the pizza so I can’t speak to that. The wings were dry and didn’t have much taste. Spaghetti was plain . Cher steak was not made of cheesesteak just roast beef making it tuff. While I understand no dinning in during this time. Silverware would have been nice.

I called to see if they had GLUTEN-FREE and Dairy free options and Craig the manager said THEY DO!!!! Sometimes you just need pizza! I ordered a 10" gluten free and dairy free pizza with pepperoni. (They have a larger size that's 14".) The pizza did not disappoint. Super good and I ate all but 2 slices. Oh, just make sure to let them know, no parmesan when ordering vegan. My friend ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. Hers looked amazing. You know it's going to be good when the pizza dough isn't a perfect circle! As far as other gluten free and dairy free options, I'm not sure. I came for pizza, and I got yummy pizza! I love the red checkered tablecloths and the parmesan and red pepper shakers. Perfect for a pizzeria! And it's perfectly situated next to a Ben & Jerry's. We I HIGHLY recommend for gluten free and vegan cheese pizza!

I got the smallest personal pie with mushrooms, anchovies and spinach for $18.30. The crust was perfect and the toppings delicious, not quite enough mushrooms, but they were chopped nicely. It took at least 20 minutes, but I ordered right when they opened at 11 AM. Also, it’s not Luke and Ollies anymore and not their menu. It’s IOPizza but if you click through you get the right menu.

This place is near our condo so we were able to walk down within a minute to grab dinner. The hubs ordered at Stromboli, which he completely enjoyed. I had a cheese calzone, that was delicious. The hubs wasn't a super fan of the chunky marinara dipping sauce. But the flavor was good. This isn't a wood fired / brick oven type of crust with that crunch, however it was still very good. We are definitely looking forward to trying a pizza soon.

Great gluten-free pizza. I got it with just spinach and it was delicious! Family got the cheesesteak sandwich and went on and on about how it was the best one they have ever tried. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Saveurs du Monde Cafe is a charming spot located at the Shoppes At Seaside Farms in Mt Pleasant, SC. The cafe offers a delightful selection of traditional French pastries and cuisine in a modern setting, complete with dog-friendly outdoor tables. Guests can savor an array of delectable dishes such as bacon & egg croissants, quiche Lorraine, banh mi, smoked salmon tartines, and crisp salads.
I see that there are some complaints but every time I’ve gotten takeout, the service and food have been pretty stellar. Today they were having some technical issues and rather than turn us away, they put the order through and I will go back and pay later! The Croque Croissant is my go-to. It’s indulgent but not too rich. Ham and Swiss with bechamel on a croissant is sometimes just the perfect thing.
Gabrielle S — Google review
I really want to love this place—honestly, the food is quite good. But every time I come, I’m reminded that great food alone isn’t enough. There’s a consistent lack of attention to detail that makes the whole experience feel neglected. Dead leaves scattered across the outdoor tables and sidewalk (while every other nearby business manages to keep theirs clean), chipped plates and coffee mugs that I’ve had to ask to replace more than once, and recently, flies inside and even a roach crawling on the wall. These aren’t minor oversights—they signal a lack of pride in what should be a beautiful, thriving café. This place has so much potential. With better leadership, more care, and basic cleanliness, it could easily be a standout in the area. Just look at Owl Bear Café around the corner—lines out the door. There’s no reason this café shouldn’t be operating at the same level. I keep giving it another chance because I want to support it. But until things are cleaned up and taken seriously, I can’t keep coming back. I hope this is taken as encouragement to step things up, because this spot could be something really special. — A customer who wants to return, but can’t right now

Such a nice treat in Mt. Pleasant! The staff was very welcoming and took the time to explain menu items and make recommendations. Love the bottomless coffee and water! I ordered the croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. It was superb! I also enjoyed a side of tomato basil soup, which went well with the croissant sandwich. The dining area is nice and clean, and we enjoyed the French tunes in the background. Outdoor seating is also available. Menu has a great selection of items, and the pastries looked awesome, I will definitely need to return to try some more menu items!

I wish I could give negative stars — that’s how disappointing my experience was at this place. The service was honestly unacceptable. I wasn’t even greeted properly; my “Good morning” was completely ignored. They added cinnamon to my cappuccino (something I’ve never encountered before), and only offered to remake it after noticing I wasn’t drinking it. When they finally remade it, they brought it in a to-go cup, even though I was dining in and had originally received a proper ceramic cup. To make matters worse, it was a large size, even though I had specifically ordered a small — I prefer a strong cappuccino, not a watered-down version that tastes like a latte. We ended up leaving with our croissants, hoping to get a proper coffee elsewhere, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time due to our schedule. So not only did we waste money, but also our time and morning — all because of poor service. I absolutely do not recommend this place. When we go out and spend our money, it’s to enjoy a good experience — not to be let down this badly.

Stopped by Saveurs DuMonde Cafe at Seaside Farms and was incredibly delighted at the friendliness of the staff there, the amazing pastries and the cute and quaint cafe that they have! While I did not have time to sit and stay and enjoy their full menu, I did get several pastries to go to try. The crème brûlée and the eclairs were absolutely amazing, but the real star of the show was their melt in your mouth macarons! The flavors and texture of the macaron was absolute perfection and left us wishing we had grabbed more! We will definitely be back in again!

It's sad to write this review, as we've been loyal customers for a long time. Our last visit felt like a completely different experience. The service was slow and unorganized—the cashier was even on her phone while taking our order. We noticed little things that added up, like chipped plates and dine-in drinks being served in to-go cups. The food was just okay, and the pastries, coffee, and smoothies were also very average. Although the staff were kind and did their best to fix a mistake with our order, the general lack of cleanliness and the drop in quality were concerning. Unfortunately, this isn't the place we remember, and we've decided not to come back.

Deli
Restaurant
Woody's Eatery is a laid-back deli located at Wild Dunes Resort, offering both dine-in and grab-and-go options. Situated near the resort's Swim Center and Harbor Golf Course Pro Shop, this casual eatery serves breakfast favorites all day and a variety of hot and cold sandwiches for lunch. Visitors can enjoy sandwiches, burgers, and beverages in a relaxed setting. While some guests found the coffee to be overpriced, others appreciated the quick service and diverse menu offerings.
June 2024 - During our four-day stay, my wife and I visited Woody's for breakfast each morning. We are from Charlotte, North Carolina, and our experience at Woody's, which is attached to the pro golf shop at Wild Dunes, was consistently delightful. On our first visit, we arrived around 7:45 AM and were immediately charmed by the peaceful atmosphere. We chose to sit outside, where we had a great view of the early morning tennis matches. The gentle breeze and overcast sky made for a relaxing and comfortable dining experience, free from the harsh sun. We ordered the largest breakfast platter, which included three well-seasoned scrambled eggs, two juicy sausage patties, and crispy French toast sticks. Jerome, who took our order on two of the days, was very careful to meet our requests. He even spoke with the kitchen cooks to ensure our meals could be split in half, making the perfect portion. Ritesh, the cook in the kitchen, was very nice and personable. He really engaged us during our visit, and his infectious smile made us excited to see him each morning. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent, contrary to some of the mixed reviews we had read. The setting, the food, and the calm morning air combined to create a memorable and relaxing experience. We will definitely be returning for breakfast again! Thank you for making our mornings so enjoyable. See you next time!

The absolute BEST eats and service! One vacation meal we didn’t have to worry about because the flavor hit home! Make sure to get the fried chicken sandwich with the slaw! The flavor was unique and had me guessing with each bite why this was so familiar and different! I loved it all! We couldn’t stop eating so, for a special treat we grabbed some of the chicken salad and that was a flavor burst also! Get this with fries because the seasoning was so perfect that you can eat them plain! Best and most friendly service, so welcoming and helpful! Definitely stop by and grab a bite! We’ll be back! Affordable and a hearty portion! Very clean and fast service! Ate so fast I didn’t get a photo of the food but it was fantastic :)

Don’t be fooled by 4 star rating. Great quick and go good. Lots of variety. If you want a quick fun close place to eat, you won’t be disappointed. If you want Lobster and Steak with dressed up waiters, it’s not going be your jam. Awesome food, easy for families, kid friendly. It’s off a golf and Tennis Club. Service was just fine

Very rude cashier. Came here two days in a row; first day I tried to order a fried chicken sandwich. I was told with a lot of attitude that they don’t serve lunch until 11….it was 10:57. Ok, nbd, I got a breakfast sandwich. We went again today, and I asked for 2 eggs over easy. Again, with attitude, I was told that they stop breakfast at 11. It was LITERALLY 11:01. They had “put everything away already”

We ordered the breakfast platter and funnel fries and everything tasted great. Coffee was simple brewed and tasted fine, but definitely NOT worth $5 - best to go off the resort to get better/cheaper coffee. Employee working the front was monosyllabic, we asked her how her day was and she replied “good” and ended the conversation. Kind of odd for resort customer service.

Regardless of the bad reviews I had a great experience here!! I took my food to go so I was in and out fairly fast. It was all very yummy including the French toast sticks and my breakfast sandwich!! 10/10 recommend but the only downfall is they’re opened until 2:30 which I don’t understand that

IOP Raw Bar is a new seafood raw bar located next to The Long Island Cafe. It offers a variety of fresh seafood options, including local shrimp, oysters, mussels, and shellfish towers with lobster tails and tuna tartare. Visitors have praised the freshness of the sashimi and the open sushi concept dish. The blue Finn tuna has been particularly highlighted for its freshness and quality.
Quick stop in before grocery shopping. Enjoyed some shrimp and tasty drinks. The place was packed with a 30 minute wait for a table so we sat at the bar and got instant service. We'll be back!

Went on a Wednesday, and the service was great. The bartender made recommendations, and they were all good decisions. Grouper bites were some of the best I've had. Oysters were very fresh. Went back on Saturday and had some of the worst calamari ever. The seafood Rissoto dish was awful as well. 1st visit was a 10, but due to the quality of the food and pushy, loud waitress on Saturday night, I probably won't go back.
Calvin M — Google review
Went to IOP Raw Bar for a light dinner and left after looking over the menu. The options were just okay but the prices were very high, even by Charleston/ Mt. Pleasant standards. The raw bar is in a strip mall and they are charging $40 for a dozen raw oysters! I would rather go to someplace like The Darling or Delaneys and pay less for oysters with a much better atmosphere. I understand that it's summertime on IOP but come on guys that's really scalping the locals that will still be here in the winter.
Chuck V — Google review
We come to IOP once or twice a year and love oysters. We have been to Long Island Cafe and IOP Raw Bar and our most recent visit was disappointing to the point we are not likely to return. The food is amazing and usually the service in “shoulder seasons” (Spring and Fall) is great. We ordered a sampler of the 4 oysters available. The plate was delivered to our table with no explanation of which was which. We waited until our server was finished collecting an order at the next table and she explained that they were out of the Tuxedo PEI, so we had 5 low country, 4 mosquito fleet and 3 Wellfleet. Seems odd or sloppy to not have an equal number of each. Then later in the meal as we were enjoying our salads (the food is really delicious), that same server delivered Tuxedo oysters to that next table! We obviously could hear her descriptions so an acknowledgment or apology would have been warranted. Instead, we come away feeling that tourists are not treated as well as local residents, which makes us sad. The food is great, just manage expectations about service, I suppose.
Suzanne M — Google review
We had a great experience — the food was freshly made and not only tasted great, but the presentation was raffinée, with clear attention to detail. The raw oysters were impeccably clean, with no bits of shell, and beautifully presented. The poisson du jour was original and well prepared, served with fresh green vegetables that balanced the dish nicely. Service was attentive and well-paced, letting us enjoy the meal at our rhythm. A refined and satisfying dining experience.

My husband and I are here from Colorado. We ate oysters on the half shell 7 nights in a row at different restaurants here on IOP and Sullivans Island. Our last night before leaving we chose our favorite! IOP Raw won! No contest! The staff was excellent, friendly and attentive. The Mother Shucker was amazing. The oysters were opened as we watched and were clean and delicious! We hope to be back someday soon. Cheers

Hey ya’ll this was a bucket list place for me and it only took me years to finally be able to stop in. We went durning spring break so it was crowded and parking was challenging. Still the wait was only 25 mins. From the parking lot signage through to the table there is sooo much to take in. It’s a smaller place and loaded down with so much memorabilia, down to the bathroom walls. I absolutely LOVED the subdued lighting here, it adds to the effect of ambiance. The staff was super nice and the manager made his rounds to every table! The menu was perfect size, not too many options but still plenty of options. Prices are not bad for a coastal, artistic niche place. I got the marinated chicken quesadillas with onion straws, sweet tea, and a dark a stormy (mixed drink) which all cost $34. So pretty median in cost. I highly recommend this experience, especially if you are a Poe fan!!! I highly recommend this place. Like and follow me for more reviews 🍷😃. Fun, southern atmosphere with descent food. We sat outside in October and enjoyed the fresh air. My wife's and my burgers were really good, my coleslaw has been better in past visits. My wife had the Annabelle Lee, and I had the Beef sleeper burger. Beer price surprised me, seemed high, but maybe that's because we are from Wisconsin where beer flows like water at great prices. We always make a stop at Poe's when visiting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Laid-Back Island Vibes & Seriously Good Eats at Poe’s Tavern! We stopped by Poe’s Tavern on Sullivan’s Island and were blown away! I had the Bug Burger topped with pimento cheese—and WOW. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. 🤤 Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. We also ordered the queso, and it was a total hit—creamy, cheesy, and just the right amount of kick. The vibe was chill, the service was great, and even better, parking was free (which is a big win on the island). Prices were super reasonable for the quality of food and location. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a killer burger and a relaxed island experience. 🏝️🍔🧀

The atmosphere was wonderful! We sat outside at covered picnic tables. The inside seating was warmly lit with cozy nooks. The bathroom was nice with book pages lining the walls. The food was generously portioned and fresh. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was delicious. You can't see the pile of boiled egg, bacon crumbles, and bleu cheese. The pimento cheese crouton was unique and yummy.

Awesome beachside in small town of Sullivans Island. One of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Big portion, amazing sauce, great crunch to it. It was seared Tuna crisp outside and still cold raw inside. Burger was substantial and very juicy. The onion crisps as the side are a MUST they are super addicting! Restaurant
The Obstinate Daughter, located on Sullivan's Island, offers an inventive menu of New American cuisine with a touch of French, Italian, and Spanish influence. The elegant country-chic space serves shareable plates such as wood-roasted clams, seasonal vegetables, oysters from the raw bar, flatbread with butterbean puree, and Frogmore chowder. Main dishes include veal cutlet over creamy grits and Capanelle made with seasonal fish.
This was the BEST meal i have ever had. I work in the food service industry, the waitress was so kind and she took the time to make the experience personal. We ordered the flat bread, the gnocchi, and the vodka pasta! SOOOO good 10/10 would come back! We also tried a bunch of desserts and they where so good! Come with a very empty stomach bc you will not want to stop eating the food.

The other reviews are right…this place was so delicious! The service, food, and cozy vibe were all amazing. My favorite dish was the farro & Brussel sprout salad (I never knew something so simple could have so much flavor! & the crunchy peanuts were such a pleasant surprise!). Our second favorite was The Rutledge pizza. We also ordered the radiatore pasta, pesce a la plancha, and chocolate mousse. All yummy :)

Everything was awesome from the service, the vibes, and the food. Must get reservation as wait time in peak beach season is usually 1.5-2.5 hrs. Pizza is fantastic with nice dough, and fresh ingredients. Definitely more wood fired Neapolitan vs thin and crispy. Pasta was clearly fresh, huge portion, perfectly cooked and salted well. Sauce soaked up in the noodles well but didn’t make them soggy. Parking is slightly difficult, with minimal spots attached and then street/paid parking around it.

Ahhhhmazing pizza! We went during the time pizza is only served. Ordered the Moultire & ruthledge pizza as well as the Obstinate Flatbread. The shiitake mushrooms on the moultire were potent & tasted great. The sea salt on the flatbread with the puree was such a great balance. We sat outside & service started out great & then our server didn’t come around for a good bit. We had empty drinks for about 10 mins & also took another 10 mins to get the bill after we asked for it. Will be back again to try other food items & hope service is better.

The Obstinate Daughter is a must-visit on Sullivan’s Island. The pizza was excellent — perfectly crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right balance of toppings. I also had the meatball sandwich, which was outstanding — the meatballs were tender, the sauce rich, and the fresh mozzarella on top made it perfect. The grilled veggies and greens on the side were a great complement. The atmosphere is fun and coastal, and the service was friendly and attentive. A fantastic spot for great food and a relaxed vibe!

Outstanding restaurant. We did not have a reservation but were able to get seats at the bar. Frank the bartender was terrific and helped us with drink and food choices since this was our 1st time here. Frank really knew the food and also recommended a perfect wine pairing with our 2nd dish. We split the N. Carolina Apple Salad of celery, apples, mint and dates dressed in a vinagrette with dots of gorgonzola cream on the plate. It's only available during the fall season so we went for it and were glad we did! (Pardon the salad pic taken after we began eating it!) Our 2nd splitter was a white pizza called Five Fathom Hole 3.0 with clams, rapini, mozzarella, garlic, chili flakes and fresh lemon to squeeze on it. We also had a cocktail, beer and a glass of wine.

This restaurant doesn't particularly cater to children but it looked like the perfect, quintessential Sullivan's Island vibe I was looking for so we took a chance. We showed up after a long day walking around Charleston with cranky kids, but they were kind and understanding. We decided to start the kids off with gelato because they were hangry and we were able to order a simple, kid friendly pizza for them to share. Hubby and I both got pasta dishes and everything came out delicious. He also said his espresso martini was the best he's had. If you are looking for a casual but classy vibe with elevated food options this is the place.

We had been in The Obstinate Daughter during our vacation This might be the best pizza we’ve had in a long time. The crust, the quality of the ingredients, and the balance of toppings were all spot-on — a true treat for the taste buds. Highly recommend eating here! My husband, grandmother and I came to eat here this past Saturday for brunch. There was plenty of street parking. The restaurant was well lit and it had plenty of tables for us to choose from. A waitress was great and welcoming. The food was delicious. I loved the chicken and biscuit dish. The biscuit was so soft on the inside and I love how they got it crispy on the outside. The omelette I had was perfect. I often have a problem, finishing such a large omelette, but this one was delicious and I was left wanting more afterwards. Definitely eat here!

Enjoyed dining here for Easter brunch, this was my first experience with Crave. A fun restaurant located in a pleasant section of The Shoppes At Seaside Farms, I enjoyed it very much. A quiet, relaxed, atmosphere, with great ambiance, delicious food, a fabulous menu and impeccable service. I had the eggs Benedict and my mother had the ham, Swiss and mushroom omelette. About $18 each, they were both delicious! She also enjoyed their mimosa. Piper, our server, was amazing, and really made our whole dining experience that much better. They also have very clean bathrooms. Patio seating available, though we sat inside. Their bar was very cool-looking. Can’t wait to go back and try their burger!

After walking in yesterday afternoon and only seeing a brunch menu we did walk out and over to Woodward Tavern. But we were there for 10 minutes and not seen so we got up and came back to Crave and we are so happy we did! Immediately seated by a gentleman who I'm assuming was the manager on duty. We had heard from a good friend who is a local that we must try the mac and cheese and that its voted the nation's best. So..we ordered that add bacon and the fried chicken BLT sandwich with fries. Let me tell you something. That was the best Mac and cheese and the best chicken sandwich I've ever ate. I eat alot. The pimento cheese just added so much flavor. The house made ranch was so delicious and those fries were 10/10 perfect. My wife doesn't like pimento cheese but she still ate most of her half of the sandwich. Definitely worth stopping in for legit ANYTHING on their menu.

This was my first time visiting Crave and they did not disappoint. I received Exceptional Service from my bartender Matthew and dined at the bar. I ordered the special local char grilled peach salad that tasted extremely fresh and had such a lovely balance of flavors and texture throughout with the sliced almonds that paired perfectly with the contrast of the goat cheese with the peaches and berries with their homemade ginger honey vinaigrette. I also ordered their award winning macaroni and cheese on the side. I ordered it with the truffle mushrooms but these photos don’t include them, Matthew my server at the bar had a slight mistake and brought them over to the side which i appreciated. I must say that the Mac n cheese didn’t disappoint and I’m glad I tried it without the truffle mushrooms as it tasted delicious as is, the truffled mushrooms did enhance the flavor but next time I will order it as is. For dessert I ordered the dessert sampler which I was able to customize to my liking and select 2 key lime pie and one Red Velvet mini pies. I honestly preferred the red velvet as it was decadent and had a nice balance with the ice cream layer with the whipped cream on top. And while I enjoyed the key lime pie as well, it tasted more like a key lime mousse rather than the usual southern pie with the custard. Parking was very easy to find and the staff in general were very friendly and helpful with providing information about the dishes. Highly recommend and I will definitely come back to try some other dishes off of their menu.

We came into town late last night, and the bartender was so polite and willing to accommodate us. He was very attentive and took care of every single one of our needs with the greatest care and always with a smile. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the drinks were really good too. I hope to return one day

My brother and I had a fantastic meal here! We bellied up to the bar and enjoyed the Steak Special and Duck. I wanted to order everything off their seasonal menu… Service was fantastic! Food was delicious! It’s a gem off hwy 11 and we will definitely be back!

Food - This restaurant boasts having one of the best Mac and Cheese dishes in the continental US. This is backed by numerous awards, publications from multiple magazines and diner reviews. It did live up to the hype. It was creamy and flavorful without being to over the top or soupy. It was absolutely a win and somewhere we would bring others for a try. Surprising was the cost, for something with that many awards it was extremely reasonable. Aside from the Mac we ordered the stuffed mushrooms which had a good creative blend for the filling. We also recieved a complimentary bread basket with some amazing honey maple butter. Lastly were the drinks. The key lime mojito was well balanced and refreshing, but the star was the smokin peach was perfect. It was so good we had 2. If your in the part of Charleston it would be worth a visit. Service - We went Sunday night, quickly greated and say. Waitress was to the table quickly and provided some recommendations based on her own experience. See was not hovering over the table and was quick to get food to the table. Absolutely excellent service. Restaurant - Very clean and well put together. There is the option to dine inside and out. We sat indoors as it was a bit muggy. Bar was well kept, floors clean and the table was not sticky. Overall - Going to come back here again. Doesn't matter what main you get, order a bowl of Mac to share with everyone. Also, don't pass up the Smokin Peach.

We stopped there for lunch. They claimed to have the most award-winning mac & cheese in America, so we ordered one with chicken and also got a She Crab Soup. The mac & cheese honestly tasted nothing special. The grilled chicken was way better than the mac & cheese. We were not too impressed with the crab soup either.

Thai restaurant
Restaurant
Basil Thai restaurant is a popular spot in various Southern cities, known for its traditional and contemporary Thai dishes, including curries. The restaurant offers a lunch menu with generous portions and is also known for accommodating vegetarian and gluten-free diets. With multiple trendy locations, Basil's atmosphere is vibrant and reflects the energy of the cities it resides in. The sleek Zen-like environment offers delicious options like basil rolls made with tofu or vegan curry upon request.
This is not your typical Thai restaurant! Upscale, great atmosphere and wonderful service. The happy hour is our favorite in Mt Pleasant and sitting on the back deck during sunset is such a lovely experience. Have not had a bad bite here, but our favorite fish is the pad see ew with beef. Thank you Basil for being our go-to Friday date night spot!

Went up to the bar because dining area was busy. I appreciate the hostess for letting us know that. But we order the different types of duck and dumplings. It was good just wish they didn’t drench it in sauce because it made the skin saggy.
Tyrra T — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Our reservation was confirmed promptly, and the staff inquired about our preferences for indoor or outdoor seating and any special occasions. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. The venue is very spacious with a beautiful view over the lake, adding to the ambiance. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were served and cleared in a timely manner. Our custom cake was stored in the refrigerator and later sliced and served perfectly. The food was delicious and the service professional. Highly recommend this place for any occasion!

This place was a showstopper! It is large and a great date spot with lots of amazing views. The food came out fast and good portions for the price. (Vegan options available with customization) The service was fast and personable, making the experience memorable. Would recommend this place and our server Ben was amazing!

I have been to Basil back in the day when they were in downtown Charleston, now they move to Mt. Pleasant with better space, view, and bar upstairs. The food we order was all amazing and scrumptious. Open the kitchen so you can see how food has been cooked. And wine and cocktails were superb as well. Highly recommend!

Update: We have been back a couple times and enjoyed every visit. This is easily our new go to for Asian cuisine. Tonight we had sweet and sour with tofu. Unfortunately didn't get a photo of the appetizer but they were great as well. Came for restaurant week and was very impressed! Interesting cocktails and the food was amazing. Don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu!
Derek M — Google review
If you are used to paying NY prices (ie. not much) for excellent Thai food, you are going to have an unhappy surprise when you go to Basil. It is really expensive, but it's also excellent. So, if you can get over shelling out about double what you are used to, go. Food is delicious and authentic, the ambiance is nice and the service is good. It's also family friendly. Food highlights include the masaman curry, the green curry, the tom kha soup, and the fried dumplings. They also have a lot of specialty cocktails and plenty to choose from in the wine and beer department. Parking isn't bad - getting in is challenging. We highly recommend reservations, even on a weeknight!

The food here was amazing but the service can certainly be improved! I was seated at the bar so close to the kitchen that was hearing every clink of the dishes. I enjoyed my meal but not the atmosphere.

High Thyme Cuisine is a cozy restaurant located in Sullivan's Island, SC, offering a variety of American dishes and drinks. The restaurant provides three distinct dining experiences: Dinner, Tuesday Tapas, and Sunday Brunch in a relaxed bistro atmosphere. It is known for its laid-back approach to fine dining, making it popular among beachgoers, local families, and food enthusiasts.
Our first time at High Thyme certainly did not disappoint! From the second we entered the door we were greeted with the most fabulous smile and warm welcome. We had to wait a little but were seated at the bar and the bartender suggested the best bottle of wine! The appetizer special was out of this world. And the famous lasagna was perfection. Christy & Emily made our experience so special and we will definitely be back!!!
Laura M — Google review
My family and I dined at High Thyme for dinner last night and everything was amazing! Shout out to Emily and our server, Savanna for being so nice and engaging! We started off with a soft shell crab over grits for our appetizers and wow, what a great choice! It was so fresh and tasted delicious through and through. For our entrees we had the tuna romaine salad, the lamb meatloaf with potatoes, the bone in pork chop with fingerling potatoes and the lasagna. We all loved everything on our plates and each other's plates! This was not our first time here and definitely will not be our last. Thank you High Thyme for a wonderful dinner that brought smiles to all of our faces!

Fab experience - staff was very friendly, food was delicious. Our faves were the scallops and the risotto. So nice to sit out on the porch. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable place for dinner in the area!

The Hungry Detective and Special Agent Deirdre had a great experience at High Thyme after the Radio Bomb show…if I could give 6 stars I would because they always deliver and go above and beyond the call of duty!!! Sit at the bar with Savannah serving up awesome cocktails and five star service…Savannah knows her stuff!! Atmosphere: Super cool locals vibe with some almost famous TV stars. Food: We had the world famous Seared Scallops and Italian Sausage Ditalini…absolutely cooked to perfection and good tasting. VERDICT: Guilty as sin for being next level good…Good food brings good people together.

Every once in a while you “find” a great place that has been right in front of you all along. High Thyme is one of those places! We came in for dinner for the first time recently and were blown away and couldn’t believe it has been an option for us for so many years and we just have been missing out. The food was incredible, portions generous, service friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was very reasonably priced with great selection. We arrived right at 5 and the dining area had plenty of tables available but it appeared as though the bar may have opened up a bit earlier because every stool was already filled. By 5:30 the dining room was also packed (this was a Saturday night in between Christmas and New Year’s for reference). All in all we are thrilled to find another great spot on Sullivan’s and can’t wait to go back. Definitely aspiring regulars.

Great food....really amazing. If you aren't local (we were told 70% were local) you will have a different experience. We love SC and are "visiting locals". Maybe just attitude of our waitress? Will try again!

Everything about our dinner here was excellent. We were able to sit on the porch, and enjoyed the atmosphere while also greatly enjoying our food. The menu selections were varied, and our appetizer, entrees, and dessert were prepared perfectly. And our server, Beth, was really good as well. Will definitely go back again on our next visit to the area.

Fantastic meal from start to finish, great service and welcoming of our 2.5 year old. We got a special shrimp and clam appetizer, I got the lasagna which was fanatic with great flavor of the meat and not to heavy of a dish. My wife got the salmon which she eats a ton of and said it was honestly one of the best salmon dishes she has ever had

Sushi Taro Japanese Restaurant is a stylish eatery located in Mount Pleasant, offering creative rolls, hibachi dishes, and bento box entrees. The restaurant surprises diners with its unique Taro Signature Roll topped with bell peppers and sweet onions. Known for its sense of humor reflected in the 'Scam Roll,' Sushi Taro provides a delightful dining experience. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and it was a great choice! The sushi was delicious and the service was excellent! We especially liked their miso soup! They also gave us a free dessert and free wall decor!

We stopped here tonight after driving into town to visit. We were immediately seated. We ordered the gyoza, crab cheese wonton, angry dragon roll, pad thai with chicken and the shrimp and steak hibachi. First off the appetizers came out immediately after the soup and salad and then they brought the sushi. Then about 3 minutes later our entrees were brought to our table. We weren't able to even finish one appetizer before we had our entrees. Staggering the dishes works wonders so customers dont feel rushed and have plenty of room. The freshness of the sushi and the flavor was off the charts. Some of the best gyoza and the crab cheese wonton was top 5 quality. We've tried alot. The steak and shrimp was good but the rice lacked flavor and was just bland. The yum yum sauce was a bit too sweet but the downer was the pad thai. It didnt have that sweet taste that the usual pad thai has..maybe it was missing palm sugar or tamarind paste. They did give us dessert on the house which seemed to be for each table which was nice.

This is a good place for sushi. The atmosphere inside is quiet and pleasant. The sushi was made around 10-15 mins after ordering, but I think the reason why the service was fast was because there weren’t that many people at the time. The sushi were great, the sashimi was not too fresh, but it was enjoyable. The staff were polite and generous, we got free desert! The desert was small, but still free. I would recommend this place to another person.

Little gem, cozy place with really good and delicious food, everything was freshly made, steaming hot and well presented. Once you step in you will be greeted nicely and seated. The waiting es minimal, I ordered the hibachi steak lunch plate, the miso soup was excellent, the salad with their special sauce was fantastic (I'm not a salad person but this one I really liked it). The hibachi steak with rice was fresh straight from the griddle to my plate, and it was delicious! All it's flavors, the tenderness of the meat, I loved every bite. I usually don't go to Mount Pleasant but next time I know where I want to eat. 5 stars!

Home Team BBQ is a popular spot with a coastal vibe and fantastic barbecue. It's the perfect place to savor smoked meats like ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage along with savory sides and cold beer. Locals also rave about their delicious drinks, especially the Game Changer cocktail. The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere where you can enjoy Fiery Ron's smoked chicken wings, pulled pork sandwiches, and tacos for an authentic local experience.
Hands down, this is the best place to eat around Charelston. Order the meat board and enjoy! Also, the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Being raised in the best food area, south eastern Louisiana, it's hard to find really good food away from here, but this place has it figured out! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and decently priced.

7/14/2025 stopped here for dinner. I ordered the half rack of ribs, collard greens, cheese dip, mac n cheese, and banana pudding for dessert. We sat outside because it was so nice out. The food was great, the ribs weren't my favorite but still good. The sides were phenomenal! The banana pudding was delicious too! I would recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner!!

Home Team BBQ – Sullivan’s Island This place is the perfect beach spot! It’s just a short walk from the sand, which makes it ideal for grabbing food or drinks right after the beach. The vibe is casual, fun, and super welcoming. You have to try their frozen Game Changer — it’s insanely refreshing and totally lives up to the name. It’s the first thing I order every time I go, especially after a hot day outside. The food here is consistently amazing. My favorites are the fried ribs (crispy and packed with flavor) and the pulled pork — it’s always juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Whether I’m stopping in with friends or bringing out-of-town guests, it’s a winner every time. Home Team never misses. Great food, great drinks, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommend!

Holy cow! This was so delicious! I had the three meat plate with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. So delicious! I really appreciate the dry rub and that you can put your own sauce on. Everything was juicy and tender. My sides were potato salad and cole slaw and they were perfect as well. Both were wonderfully seasoned for me. Parking stinks, so be prepared to walk a little bit. And I'm not a fan of the red table lights as they make everything look bland. I had leftovers and the next day it was amazing again!! I would highly recommend this place.

Just a South Carolina utter classic! If you’re in the area you must stop by here, this is a “when in Rome” kinda spot! Everyone is jovial and kind the food is excellent and drinks move fast! Come for game day with the Georgia bulldogs and experience a great Saturday! Go dawgs!

Great time! We went around 8:30 and got two full racks of ribs, 1/4 chicken, brisket, and pulled pork and it was perfect for 6 people! Hot Sauce and Sweet Red were the favorite sauces. Was about ~$35 a person with drinks and nachos. We did the platters with the sides, would recommend the beans and the potato salad. We had a celiac and vegetarian and were well accommodated. Waiter was amazing and it was the best dinner we’ve had on our vacation! Never got his name but know he was born in Texas and worked there for 9 years! Warning: later in the night they could run out of mac and cheese and some meat cuts so don’t go too late! kitchen closes at 10!
