Acme Lowcountry Kitchen is a bustling beach grill located on Isle of Palms, offering a delightful blend of southern coastal cuisine with fresh, locally sourced seafood. Whether you're in for brunch, a family dinner, or happy hour, this restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience. The menu features signature dishes like crab cakes and gouda grits fries alongside handcrafted cocktails.
Acme Lowcountry Kitchen absolutely blew me away. I’ve had shrimp and grits all over the South, but nothing compares to what they serve here — hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Their shrimp are also local, Perfectly cooked shrimp, creamy grits, and flavors that hit every note just right. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and just appreciate the moment. The staff was equally impressive — warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. You can tell they care about the food and the people. The whole vibe is relaxed but polished, and it made for an unforgettable meal. Acme is awesome

If you are looking for a casual spot with delicious food, Acme is a great choice. We did a walk in with 7 people and were seated right away. The servers were very friendly. This place is known for their shrimp and grits and I understand why. They have 6 different variations of their signature dish so definitely something for everyone. I went with the Isle of Palms shrimp and grits and it was DELICIOUS. I am still thinking about the blackened shrimp. We also ordered the fried green tomatoes which were also a hit!
Ashley S — Google review
Wow, the shrimp and grits "Lowcountry" style was amazing. The shrimp were fresh and the grits were delicious. Also had a great old fashion. My wife had a delicious combo of the best crab cake ever, scallops and shrimp. Server was friendly and very good. She wasn't pushy when we hung out a little after we ate. Thanks for the fantastic hospitality!!
James Z — Google review
If you're looking for the best shrimp and grits, look no further than the Acme low country. Excellent service surpassed by the grits and shrimp dinners. Generous portions, and you can mix and match any of the shrimp and grits varites..nice beer selection. Its clearly been around a long time, for good reason. Just go.
Scott M — Google review
The food was the best we had on Isle of isle palms and Charleston combined . The scallops, shrimp and crab cake placed on creamy grits were cooked to perfection and the Brussel sprouts were delicious. I think the entree was called the top flight. A nice glass of Edna valley Cabernet topped it off perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was delicious! The service was great too! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Bonnie D — Google review
Blackened shrimp succotash is superb. Tried the grit fries this visit and I could drink that Gouda cheese sauce (wish there was about double the amount to go with the massive grit fries personally). Also tried a few desserts, everyone loved their dishes.
Chris G — Google review
Acme is super popular but parking availability is not on par with the restaurant’s popularity. We had to park on the road and weren’t sure whether it was an ok spot. Fortunately Ashton, our waitress, was so kind and helpful that she offered to go and check out the spot without us asking her to!!! We are so thankful for her willingness to help. By doing that, she had allowed us to fully enjoy our lunch, which was delicious! Thank you so much Ashton.
Lien C — Google review
Expensive restaurant, but very pleasant service and hospitality. The food, however, is amazing. The seafood in general is my favorite - especially the crab cakes. A bit salty, but full of flavor. The scallops are cooked just right, too.

Restaurant
Long Island Cafe is a charming bistro with a full bar that offers a seafood-centric menu along with beef, chicken, and handmade pasta options. Situated in a small shopping strip over the IOP Connector Bridge, this hidden gem has been serving locals and visitors for over 30 years. The cafe underwent renovations in 2012 when it was purchased by restaurateur Michael Proetto and Chef Ravi Scher.
What a great experience, sat outside with the family and had a wonderful feast, generous portions and pours, tasty seafood and friendly staff, I had the stuffed shrimp which was divine with mash and veggies! I have been once before and will return again, the rose bottle was great as well! Come down to IOP and have a great time at Long Island cafe!

We visited while on our honeymoon in Charleston. While the food was good, the portions were far too small - we left hungry even after spending $100 for 2 people. The menu also stated that entrees come with sides; however, certain entries did not include sides (which we found out after ordering). On top of all that, they charge you a fee for credit card purchases. Overall, would not recommend for what you get.
Jared S — Google review
We had a wonderful experience last night at this restaurant. I had the pasta primavera special with shrimp and my mother had the flounder. Both of us said this was the best meal we had had in a while! The staff also goes above and beyond. We were greeted by the hostess and the manager when we arrived, and then our server was incredibly kind and perfectly attentive. Top notch experience. This is a local gem!
Stacy M — Google review
Awesome spot to eat with friends at the beach. The professional staff made us feel like family right away. Fresh bread and appetizers came out quickly. Oysters were delicious! Generous entree portions. Only regret was not ordering the calamari... Next time!

We came here for an early lunch and it was great! Delicious food (I had the crab burger and my husband had the salmon blt), great service and cute atmosphere. We will definitely go back when we visit the area again.
Myra R — Google review
Local spot in strip mall next to Harris Teeter. Tables are uncomfortably tight for eating and hard for having a conversation with your guests. Service was average. Food was below average. Not going into details of why because it's not worth writing about. We did have the filet mignon, she crab soup, grouper bites (actually the only decent thing we had) sautéed veggies, flounder, shrimp and grits. Peanut butter ice cream pie and crème brûlée. Price was absolutely too high for what we were served. Also an FYI, they charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. Many small business do this now, not complaining, just be aware. Seems the locals are the ones that enjoy it, and usually those are the places we like to visit as well but we will not be giving this place a second chance.
Chris G — Google review
I’ve eaten here a few times and it’s been great each time. Amazing seafood! The Parmesan encrusted salmon and white cheddar grits are especially tasty. Update: visited again last night and got the crab encrusted grouper. It was tasty. But, I kept thinking about the salmon. Just get the salmon. You won’t regret it. Also, make a reservation… they stay very busy. The restaurant is pretty loud and seating is very close together. This usually bothers me… but, the food is so good and the service is so attentive, that it’s worth dealing with the noise and people in my personal space.
Taylor C — Google review
Our waitress, Emily, was great as well as rest of staff. Food was very good. Martinis were overpriced for a Tito’s lemon drop at $21.60 each! Very disappointed, it was good but felt taken advantage of as prices were not posted, then again I did not ask price. Beware!!

Coda Del Pesce is an Italian-influenced restaurant located on the Isle of Palms, offering a stunning ocean view and a menu that highlights the bounty of the sea. The chef, Ken Vedrinski, brings his haute cuisine expertise to this eatery, serving up housemade pasta and delectable Italian seafood dishes. The contemporary 70+ seat restaurant features a casual yet elegant atmosphere with brick walls and reclaimed wood decor.
One of, if not THE best, restaurant for food in Charleston. Had several courses and every single one was just amazing. The chef really knows what he's doing with flavor. It can be hard to get a reservation, but totally worth it!
Austin F — Google review
The Hungry Detective and new sidekick had a fabulous experience at my old new favorite Italian spot in Charleston!!! The food: started with the grouper braciole served up super hot in a La Cruset covered mini pot. Main courses….The tile fish is five stars and the plate was clean…”better than sex” Wine: Michael selected a fabulous red from Sicily!!! VERDICT: I usually do not go out on a limb but Coda de Pesce goes above and beyond the call of duty and guilty as sin for doing everything to perfection!!! Note: Sit at the bar….Michael the bartender is a true professional and knows his stuff…great suggestions that were on point!!!
Brian C — Google review
This was a great experience for my wife and I. The restaurant was so cute, and our service was very helpful. She helped select a nice glass of wine to pair with my food, while also walking us through the highlights on the menu. A must visit for anyone looking for good seafood or pasta while on the island.
Matthew H — Google review
My wife's birthday was expertly served by Angie. She's extremely knowledgeable and kind. Eric seated us at the window for a beautiful view. The oyster appetizer was innovative and delicious. The swordfish was tender and fresh. We had a memorable time and look forward to our next visit

Coda del Pesce brings fresh, Italian‑seafood flair with dishes like calamari Bolognese, grouper braciole, and wreckfish in a crispy potato crust. Gorgeous ocean view and smart wine pours make it a memorable, elegant dinner.
Rob H — Google review
Never ate, server would not seat us tonight at all. Said they don’t do this today. No walk ins. We asked to sit at the bar and was told NO, we just opened can’t help you. Crappy customer service and poor attitude. My sister in law is handicapped and it took her a good bit to walk up the stairs, once we were turned away, she asked if she could stand for a minute to get some energy to walk down the stairs, the guy flat out said ,I dont care, but you’re not sitting here tonight.
Krysten W — Google review
We had high expectations based on reviews and descriptions. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. Food was good, but not something what you have never tried as described in other reviews. It was also inconsistent. Even bread, when one order was great and another was mediocre. Besides, it was always a feeling that we have to finish as soon as possible since other customers are in line. My "favorite" part was that we were asked to place our order for appetizers and main dishes at the same time since it is "more convenient" for the chief...
Alexander S — Google review
Words cannot explain how good the food is here. I have been to many up scale restaurants in my life and this is easily #1 on my list. Chef Ken Vedrinski puts on an absolute experience. Also, the atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming. We will be back, already planning another date night. Thank you for making our Anniversary a memorable one.

Sea Biscuit Cafe is a charming, nautical-themed spot known for its homestyle breakfast and lunch. It's a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering a range of options from light bites like homemade granola to hearty dishes such as French toast, pancakes, omelets, and sausage biscuits. Since 1986, this traditional American cafe has been serving up delicious eggs and coffee despite facing challenges like Hurricane Hugo.
Great breakfast at Sea Biscuit Cafe. I had the vegetable omellett delicious!!! Service was great! Food came out quickly and was fresh tasting. Note: CASH ONLY there is an atmosphere right outside the door.

Waitress was so friendly and food came out extremely quick. We were there at about 7:30 am after watching the sunrise. We got the fresh fruit platter which was huge, the veggie omelette and the crab omelette. Both were delish! It comes with a biscuit and home fries and personally think the prices were reasonable. The shirts were $25 which is just cheaper than any souvenir shop! (And they’re cuter)
Taylor B — Google review
Here with a group of friends. My meal, the daily omelet special was fantastic. The biscuits were perfection. My one friend cannot eat gluten. She ordered her meal with no toast or biscuits. The waitress rolled her eyes at her. My friend didn’t explain that she would have loved a biscuit, but couldn’t eat it, and she knew what to order. Then we waited forever to get our meals. The home fries were under cooked. It was a real mix of great food with poor service.
Chris L — Google review
My pup and I had brunch on the porch. The place was very busy, the food excellent (I had the crab omlette), and the service kind. It's cash only (which was fine by me!)... yawl, there's an ATM right outside for those unprepared!
Shanti W — Google review
Enjoyed the mermaid atmosphere. Had ham Eggs Benedict on the breakfast potatoes instead of the English Muffins. Busy, crowded so go early. Loved the vibe and the service! Only issue was we asked for a side of sausage gravy for hubby, so he could try it w his biscuit, the charge was 6.50!
C A — Google review
Small cute little place somewhat near the beach. Luckily we got a table right away. Took a minute to get anyone to give us water or even acknowledge us to take our order but again small and packed so not a lot of room for too many wait staff. It was a pretty humid day when we were there and it was super hot inside, no air only fans but that's ok. Food was good. Homemade. Basic breakfast menu, eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits, etc. Everything was good. Food also came out fast. Just beware.... They only take cash.

Loved this little place!! Great start to another beautiful day at the beach!! ❤️ Don’t forget to bring CASH!! However, they are ready for you if you do forget, with a handy ATM machine out front!!!😆

Coastal Provisions is a refined eatery located at Wild Dunes Resort, offering locavore seafood and drinks in a terrace-enhanced space. The restaurant is well-known for its upscale casual cuisine, with a focus on seafood, Lowcountry, and southern fare. It provides an outdoor dining experience with an expansive menu that includes gluten-free and vegan selections, as well as cocktails served in the bar and lounge.
I've never had a bad meal or bad experience here. We travel to Wild Dunes frequently for vacation from Ohio and always enjoy the food at Coastal Provisions. I love their breakfast overnight oats, and the dinners have been spectacular. Most recently I tried the dueling lamb, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Staff are always so kind and accommodating.
Emma — Google review
Fun space and beautiful ambiance. Outdoors is a little buggy with flies but comes with the space. Their crab bisque soup is delicious. I got their summer seafood special. Unfortunately a clam was unopened and when opened, was full of mushy black sand which was a little unappetizing and I couldn’t get the sand texture out of my mouth, as it mixed with the dish. I legit thought it was something else but realized it was gooey sand. Sent it back to inform the chef but that was that. Fairly pricey but what you’d expect for the location. Cocktails (and mocktails) were really good.
Magnus W — Google review
Our server Connie was fantastic. Wonderful knowledge of the menu, attentive, warm and genuine. The food was excellent. Belle Du Jour Oysters were some of the best i've had..and the lamb dish was cooked beautifully. Bravo guys!
Joseph M — Google review
This was quite a while ago when I visited SC. I really like the atmosphere both indoor and outdoor seating. I really like the indoor design and enjoyed the outdoor esp with a really nice weather. Even though for outdoor, you will be by the pool and pool sometimes has lot of visitors and it was a bit weird to kind of looking them swimming and it could be loud. The service was okay as well with the food, and of course it’s pricey. When I am visiting, I like to eat smaller portions on different places so we order some appetizers. I recommend this place just to get the experience.
Hanny M — Google review
Amazing food and service. Best meal I’ve ever had. The waiter catered to the food allergens our family members had and even brought out some birthday truffles for my mother’s birthday! Would recommend to anyone in the area!!

We had excellent service. Connie was our server, friendly, delightful very knowledgeable on each menu item. We had the scallop dinner special and it was delicious. The drink she recommended for us to try raspberry lemon drop was also great. We will be returning and again Connie is and excellent server

This chef is the best in Charleston and surrounding areas. We have been to many restaurants in the area and the food served here is 10/10 top quality. My son (who I am nursing) has a dairy allergy that has prevented me from eating anything containing dairy for 6 months. Every restaurant I have been to seems to use butter or some form of dairy in their preparation of the food. This restaurant was able to accommodate my dairy allergy with food items already listed on the menu. We had lunch and dinner and both meals were absolutely fantastic. They even had a dairy free desert option. I never write reviews but found it necessary because this restaurant has hands down the best food we have had in isle of palms and even in Charleston. Thank you to the chef for giving me my best dinning experience in 6 months!!!

Coconut Joe's Beach Grill is a beachfront restaurant on Isle of Palms that serves island-inspired dishes like shrimp and grits, grouper sandwich, and creamy crab dip. You can enjoy the view of the sand and surf from the deck or the rooftop, where happy hour specials include 14-ounce specialty drinks and quick-to-the-table 'zappetizers.'
Atmosphere ten stars! Great view of the beach waves! I liked the strawberry and cream drink better than the Pina Colada because the coconut was too much for me. The Island tacos were nice and spicy but delicious. Grouper bites were good as well.
K M — Google review
Great food, amazing views, awesome vibes. Inside dinning is an option, but the roof top bar and dinning is where it is at. Located right beside public access to beach. Check out the lower patio as well with its hanging swings and photo backdrops.
Kevin T — Google review
Loved the food here. The grouper bites are delicious and filling. The portion sizes are more than acceptable. The restaurant has a great view, the servers are friendly and responsive. The only negative things I can say are the restaurant has an odd odor to it inside, and we didn't care for the cooks blasting their music over the main restaurant's music. Kinda killed the calm, enjoyable atmosphere that we were expecting.
Marvin R — Google review
Disappointing Dining, Gorgeous View Stopped by Coconut Joe’s hoping for good beachside vibes and left with a beautiful view… and a parking ticket. Let’s start with the only highlight — the location. You can’t beat the view: right on the beach, salty breeze, and a front-row seat to the ocean. It’s the perfect spot if you just want a drink and a view. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat. Service was painfully slow — we waited over 35 minutes for food, and when it finally showed up, it tasted like it had been waiting just as long under a heat lamp. Dull, bland, and overpriced. Word of warning: make sure to pay for street parking or you’ll walk away with more than just a bad taste — you’ll be funding the local government with a nice little fine. With so many great spots in the area, this one’s best enjoyed from afar — like, maybe just admire it from the beach and move on
Brownbiggy — Google review
The food was great. The Grouper bites was an appetizer was a lie. There is enough in this for 2 dinners just get a side each. These things are delicious. I also got the scallops, Coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, and blackened shrimp. The food was all very good. We sat outside and watched the dolphins.
Brian S — Google review
We stopped by Coconut Joe’s on Isle of Palms during our vacation, and it was exactly the kind of laid-back, beachy spot we were hoping for. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—fun signage, casual seating, and definitely all the “beach vibes only” energy promised at the entrance. We tried a little bit of everything, from the fried pickles and gator bites to the coconut shrimp, grilled seafood, and burgers. The portions were generous, and everything came out fresh and hot. Highlights were the coconut shrimp (crispy, juicy, and full of flavor) and the green beans—yes, even the green beans were surprisingly good and the coleslaw was creamy. The staff was friendly, and even though the place was busy, service stayed upbeat and helpful. It felt like a real beachside tradition, and judging by the crowd, we’re not the only ones who think so. Definitely a fun, casual place to grab seafood and enjoy the relaxed vibe of Isle of Palms. Would gladly come back again!

We celebrated our 42nd anniversary here, loved it! Food, service, atmosphere all were great! Staff was wonderful too! We started in the upstairs bar with a cocktail, live music and a fantastic view. Dinner was fabulous especially the soft shell crab. Love, love, love 💕

Over the years I have dined at the Boathouse more times than I can count. The Sunset views from the rooftop bar are beautiful, The ambiance of being surrounded by water so peaceful and so “vacation.” While the food has always been delicious, it was different at our last visit. We had dinner there the evening of September 11 and enjoyed what can only be described as a “dining experience” that we will be talking about from now on. The entire meal was just “over-the-top”. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Our party ordered 4 separate entrees and each was fabulous. And let’s talk about oysters. The Oysters Rockefeller were incredible!!! We ordered 1/2 dozen and then ordered another 1/2 dozen and probably would have ordered ANOTHER if we didn’t have entrees coming. Hands-down, the absolute best ever!! This restaurant has always been a favorite and continues to be!! They also have Valet parking so you don’t need to worry about finding a place to park. Highly recommend the Boathouse and it should definitely be a dining destination when on in and around IOP, Mt. Pleasant and Charleston !!
Kay D — Google review
I've heard great things about this spot from long-time locals, and we had a lovely meal. Aside from our server not being attentive and messing some things up on our order, everything was terrific. We also had a reservation, but still had to wait over 30 minutes for our table. They have a small rooftop where you can get a drink or two before your table is ready. Vallet parking was a nice touch. It is priced on the higher end, but is an excellent spot for anniversaries or special occasions. I cannot say enough good things about their crab cakes. I was also impressed by their blue cheese coleslaw. Overall, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here!

Took time in Refuge and tried their crab cake eggs Benedict and Maine cocktail, both of which were fantastic. The design and delivery of the food stood up to its flavor and It makes me want to come back for more. If you just need a coffee and some relaxation, there is an attached cafe that is quieter than the rest of the restaurant and easy to focus in. Fantastic spot!

My wife and I stopped by the Refuge Restaurant for brunch while waiting for an early check-in at our accommodations, and we enjoyed the experience! I ordered the western omelet with home fries, and it was perfectly cooked—fluffy, flavorful, and paired with crispy, well-seasoned fries. My wife got the berry pancakes, which were light, fluffy, and bursting with fresh berry goodness. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it even better. The service was top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

I have eaten here several times and the food is consistently cooked very well. I have never eaten anything that I did not like or lacked flavor. My group and I started with the BLT Deviled Eggs, Burrata Caprese, and She Crab Soup, all of which were outstanding. I ordered the Seared Scallops with brussel sprouts, mixed vegetables and sweet potato puree. The scallops had a parmesean crust that was simply delicous and satifying, the brussel sprouts were crispy and the sweet potato puree was creamy. The presentation of the dish was stunning that gave you that fine dining experience. My friend had the Chicken Pesto Tortellini. The dish had a lemon pesto cream sauce that was excellent. We finished with a key lime pie that was light and refreshhing along with a gluten free carrot cake, that my friend said you could not tell it was gluten free, and yes it had a light cream cheese icing. The Refuge partners with a local bakery, so no packaged desserts. The service was awesome, our waiter was polite, friendly and attentive. He was very knowledgable about the menu and dishes. He gave his top 3 for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. He also guided my friend to gluten free options on the menu. Overall I would highly recommend The Refuge.

The Refuge gave us a good meal with food that really hit the spot. Service was friendly, just a bit overwhelmed at times. The atmosphere was fine, nothing too memorable, and the strip mall setting does not add much personality. Still, it is a solid place to eat on Isle of Palms if you want something reliable and tasty.

Thursday night dinner here was great. We got the crab dip and crab soup. Soup was good but the dip was incredible i highly recommend. Both entrees were great also. Seared scallops and a Thai coconut shrimp. We got the thyme in Maine as cocktails and honestly didn’t like them. The restaurant took them back and got us something else. Great food, service and the interior was very cool.

Super cute, clean, modern restaurant. Great service & food. Espresso martini was delicious! We ordered the She Crab Soup, fresh Lobster, crab cake (HUGE), and grilled shrimp (my son said it was his favorite he's ever had), Tuna TarTar with crispy wontons.. only complaint was the wontons were not crispy- more chewy, so we just ate the tuna without.

Dined at Refuge on 10/08. She-crab soup was outstanding. My wife had trigger fish and raved about it and the rice. I had shrimp and grits - the serving size was too large (I would offer a half size on the menu). Aside from the, it was excellent - grits were cooked perfectly, shrimp nicely seasoned, Tasso gravy was delicious. Waitstaff was attentive, drinks were great. Highly recommend!

Live music venue
The Windjammer is a lively beachfront bar and grill located at Front Beach on Isle of Palms, just a short drive from downtown Charleston. It's known for its vibrant atmosphere, live music performances by local and national acts, and a diverse food menu. The venue has been serving the Isle of Palms community since the 1970s and hosts various events such as bikini contests, volleyball tournaments, and golf tournaments during the summer season.
Came by here to grab a beer before the Allen stone concert outdoor. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. The set up outside was nice, small but spacious still and I posted up with a beach chair close to the stage. It’s a cool venue right on the beach at IOP, so I would recommend wearing sandals or flip flops since you may wanna go barefoot. It was a touch humid that day but not too hot. Overall it was a pretty chill place and I’ll have to come back and try the food next time.

They were kind enough to let us host the 4th Birthday Party for Breeze Airways. Our Charleston based team members were taken great care of by the kitchen staff and bartenders Nikki and Brad. Garc was exceptional to plan the event with and made sure all our needs were taken care of with ease! Perfect spot for a night out or a fun corporate get together by the beach! Great food, drinks, super reasonable prices, and again FANTASTIC STAFF!!!

We visited on a Friday and Saturday night, and what an incredible surprise Friday turned out to be! #Evergreen was performing outside, and the amazing #TheNovatones band playing inside was just as impressive. What a fantastic experience! Security was present to screen guests, and you could grab drinks from both the indoor and outdoor bars. When you open a tab, they give you a ticket you can use at any bar—super convenient. Next time we’re in Isle of Palms, SC, this spot is definitely on our list for great live music and a fun atmosphere!

Fun and unique music venue. Listen to your favorite band with your feet in the sand. Plenty of bars so lines are never too long. Friendly staff. Good selection of bands.

Vibes are immaculate. This is a *bar* and *club* full stop. Go for the great drinks, amazing service, and good music. Don't come for food, but the fact they offer it is a plus.

I love the Windjammer. I helped build it after Hurricane Hugo, but I I had that designated as my to go bar since I turned 18 and became beer legal. The bands that they host invarible become major label signed talent. If you ever go to Isle of Palms, SC the Windjammer is a very must see place.

Just had my first experience watching a show at this venue and it was top notch! I saw Daniel Donato play here and the atmosphere, crowd, lighting, bar staff, everything was on point. To have your toes in the sand or watch from the safety of the balcony you can’t go wrong. Make sure you come here to check out some live music ! I did not try any of the food.

Coastal Crust at Wild Dunes is a delightful family-friendly eatery that specializes in wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian-inspired dishes. With a commitment to crafting their dough and crushed tomato sauce from scratch, this charming spot emphasizes the use of local ingredients while honoring traditional recipes. The restaurant's journey began with a passion for vintage trucks and exceptional pizza, leading to its establishment in Mount Pleasant, SC.
I’m kind of shocked by the bad reviews. Our food was great, my salad was AWESOME- layered, unique, and super fresh. I got the one with peaches… wish I remembered the name. Pizza was simple, but tasty. Service was attentive and very kind. I have no complaints, but we went at a less busy time so perhaps that had an impact. I’d definitely go back.
Mackenzie J — Google review
Very friendly staff, food came out quickly and was very hot. Only critique I would say is that our pizza was soggy and could have been cooked longer. The bottom was not crisp at all. The Caesar salad was delicious and so was the Baratta.would definitely come back again. Super convenient location as to our room is right upstairs. Kid friendly too.

After waiting an hour to be seated, it took an hour to get raw pizza and frozen shrimp...three blocks from the ocean. Server passed by over 20 times and checked with us twice. Go here only if you have no other option.

My family & I came here to eat the other night and we had an amazing experience. Not only were we all pleased with our meals, the service was amazing. Cash was our server and she never failed to get us what we needed. Our drinks stayed full the entire time, the cocktails were great. Overall a 10/10!! If you plan on coming, make sure you ask for Cash!!

The sign on the door says that the restaurant is open from 4pm - 10pm. We are a party of three staying at Wild Dunes as a part of a conference. We walked in at 8:54pm. The bartender would not serve us. When we referenced the sign on the door, the server/bartender said that they get to choose and they were closing. There were 12 patrons drinking at the bar. They said we could potentially order food to go. This is not only false advertising but also rude to turn paying customers away when there are clearly still patrons at the bar.
Brandi M — Google review
A Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Management! Our recent visit to Coastal Crust Wild Dunes was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. It's a shame, because you could clearly see the staff was trying their absolute best, but they were completely let down by what appears to be a serious management problem. The restaurant was woefully understaffed, and the team on the floor was visibly overwhelmed. The server, who was running ragged, apologized multiple times for the long wait for our drinks and food. It was obvious they were in the weeds and doing everything they could to keep up, but it was an impossible task. The blame here isn't on the employees—it's on the management that put them in this impossible situation. They need more support, more training, and frankly, more people on the schedule. Until Coastal Crust Wild Dunes gets its management act together and provides its hard-working team with the resources they need, I can't recommend it. It's a disservice to both the customers and the dedicated staff who are doing the best they can under terrible circumstances.
Chris W — Google review
I had high hopes for Coastal Crush Pizza, being a homeowner within walking distance, but unfortunately, each visit has been a disappointment. The service was subpar, and the pizza was downright awful. It was greasy and undercooked, to the point where it flopped when you tried to pick it up, causing all the toppings to fall off. The Caesar salad was small, overpriced, and lacked flavor. After multiple attempts to give this place a fair shot, I’ve decided I won’t be returning. For pizza, I’d much rather go with IOP Pizza or even Domino’s for delivery. Coastal Crush simply isn’t worth it.
Garrett T — Google review
Decent pizza. The service was pretty slow and nobody seemed to especially like their job. The whole vibe didn’t feel like we were at a resort. I really enjoyed the crust. Burrata app was good and fresh. The meatballs were flavorful, but tough. I like the convenience of being able to eat within the resort, but next time would just drive into IOP for dinner.

First of all, the food comes in melamine trays with a lid that is genius for carrying them out and keeping everything contained! Coconut shrimp are a nice size and tasty, but watch out for the sauce to dip it in because it’s got quite a zippy kick! They are a kind of bland without something. I am not a fan of corn meal, breaded anything and the strips for the pickles is very different than anything I’ve seen, and even though the breading falls off very easily, between the sauce and the pickles, they are delicious! Chicken tenders were pretty big, but probaby just frozen kind and fries were good. Burger was good and fruit is fresh. Overall, what we ordered for the main meal was pretty standard beach/pool food. Our server, Patrick was very busy, but still on top of everything.
Dawn W — Google review
We've been eating here since it opened and it was a good place to sit outside by the pool and get a burger. Now there's a new F&B manager who has changed the game for the better. Actual meals (steak frites, salmon, pappardelle), served to you by waiters on real plates. Next stop The Oyster Catcher to see what's changed there.
Bobbo — Google review
It's okay. It's in a convenient location, but it's pricey for what you get. The Bahn Mi I got mostly tasted like salt... The fish was well cooked, and the bread was good... But otherwise the sauces just didn't have anything else to balance them and they ended up just tasting like salt 😔 sweet potato fries were good
Julie D — Google review
My family got the chips and guac, smoked chicken with sweet potato fries, coconut shrimp and fries, and two kids hot dogs. All of the food was wonderful except the sweet potato fries. They tasted good, just a little stale. Everything else was great. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was very laid back. Pool side venue but would be a fine place to come if you just needed a good meal.

Worst nacho ever, some margarita that tasted like antifreeze, low quality food, for about $70. I could not touch the food or the drink.

Wanted a quick bite to eat while we were at the pool. Ordered the SIGNATURE 7 MILE BURGER* and FRIED JERKED CHICKEN SANDWICH. The burger Pattie’s looked and tasted like they were cooked in a microwave and the chicken sandwich was raw. Avoid this establishment at all costs! Drinks are great food is terrible.

Terrible service with over priced food. I went twice this week out of convenience. Both times the girl took our order and left. She didn’t come refill drinks, didn’t clear plates, didn’t ask if we need anything. We had two salads with two sodas for $73. That’s steep for bad service.

Ate breakfast here twice, quiche and breakfast sandwich was good. Coffee was good as well, even though it was pods and not fresh ground beans. They have Bananas, fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, sandwiches, freshly squeezed orange juice, Dippin dots and more.

The slowest, costliest checkout experience ever. Somehow I spent $55 on prepackaged sandwiches, chips, coke & rice crispy treat for two. Gas station food at fine dining prices.
Lee S — Google review
At a vacation spot like this, you usually get one of two options: expensive but delicious, or cheap and forgettable. This place somehow cracked the code to deliver the worst of both worlds—expensive and bad. The eggs tasted like they were fresh off the conveyor belt of a plastic factory, rubbery enough to bounce if I dropped them. The croissants? Let’s just say they were so stale I considered filing them under “antiques.” On the bright side, the service was actually great—the staff smiled the whole time, which almost made me feel guilty for paying so much to gnaw on rubber and cardboard.
Oluwatobi F — Google review
As far as prices go, they are on par for resort convenience. A quick trip here, and you can get almost anything from swimming diapers to a smores kit to beer to pretty good sandwiches. Everytime we went in, the staff always greeted us.
Tommy D — Google review
Went to get breakfast for the family in the morning. Line wasn’t bad but only one register was open so it did pile up after me. Breakfast and coffee for 3 costs about $70. Food was good quality. The coffee was also made very well. It’s a resort shop so I get the surcharge but still a bit frustrating. Mocha with dark chocolate and 2 pumps was great!
Denko — Google review
Busy, little place. Food is ok at best. Parking is a pain. Pricey for the quality. One and done for us and we'll be here to two weeks.
Ian G — Google review
This is a convenient little store that provides a good assortment of things you might need while staying at the resort. Bobby at the register was extremely friendly. He has a great sense of humor and provides great customer service. I wish the same could be said about the young teenagers they employ as baristas. There was one young girl, in particular, who had the worst attitude when she screwed up our order on 2 separate occasions, and we requested she fix it. The older lady working there was quick to resolve the situation but that young girl either needs to learn her job and learn some customer service or find another form of employment if she can't handle someone informing her of her mistakes... Aside from that, the fresh juice was delicious, the coffee was enjoyable when they got our order right, the pastries were stale, lunch sandwiches and wraps were days old in the fridge and soggy. If you are getting anything to eat here, be sure to check the date it was made and don't bother if it is more than a day or two old... Not really what we were expecting from a convenience store run by the resort.

Beachside Burgers & Bar offers oceanfront dining with a menu featuring beach grill favorites and tropical drinks. Located on the Grand Pavilion, it's a perfect pit stop for lunch with an incredible view. While the location is a major draw, some have found the prices to be on the higher side, especially considering that fries are not included with the burgers. However, others appreciate the good food and beach bar atmosphere, making it a worthwhile spot for a casual lunch by the beach.
There is an iced irish coffee slushy drink that makes a ridiculously delightful boozy drink. Shaded patio. Pet friendly. Nice bartenders. Free water.

I’m kind of wondering about the staff training at this hotel? I walked up to the counter to order as the person behind the counter threw a box at another member of staff clearly thinking it was funny? I guess it is when you don’t have a customer standing between you and the other member of staff? Then the style of service? kind of I really don’t give a crap about you or your needs There seem to be a lot of younger staff maybe covering for the holiday break? I don’t mind that massively if I wasn’t paying a lot of money The burger was very average for 30 dollars That’s all?
Peter C — Google review
I'd give the place zero stars if it was an option. We're property owners in Wild Dunes. Discovered that only club members and hotel guests are allowed into the grand pavilion. Not sure if the resort realizes that their policy is losing them money. Last week, we went to see live music at the Grand Pavilion. Fortunately, our neighbors are club members and were kind enough to take us as their guests.
James F — Google review
It was expensive and they messed up two out of five orders. They were very slow business-wise when we went so they should not have had these difficulties. When we were there 6 years ago, there was live music, they were busy, and they were astounding, with an amazing vibe. This time it didn't feel like a vacation. It was quiet, even though it was dinner time, and it just didn't have much of a vibe at all.

Fantastic sea food with a pretty cool view! I can highly recommend the swordfish blacked and the seafood Alfredo. Sadly the cocktail that I got was sub par - I got an old fashion and it was overly muddled and WAY to much ice.

A really great burger, but man-o-man it’s pretty pricey!! Two burgers and one order of fries was $45! Aside from that it’s a good place to visit while at the beach.

Several orders in my party came out ahead of mine, including an identical order. After my party finished I went to check on my order and they handed me my order unceremoniously without the side. I had to carry my order away since the rest of the group was waiting on me. Awful experience, no matter how good the food is the service dropped the ball so hard I can’t help but tell others to run away.

Luke 'n Ollie's Pizzeria is a casual pizza restaurant with outdoor seating that features an extensive menu of Italian food. The restaurant has a full bar, accepts American Express, and offers late night hours.
We were pleasantly surprised with the pizza and service. Our 6 year old wanted pizza so we walked over from the beach to Luke 'n Ollie's. Their pizza is brick oven style. The crust was really good! The flavor was superb. Our 6 year old just kept eating! I also got a virgin daiquiri which was very tasty. They have a full bar, we so not drink but for those that do, it's there. Service was great. We weren't sure how well the kids would eat it so we only got one small pizza, but ordered another as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Just wasn’t very good. I did not try the pizza so I can’t speak to that. The wings were dry and didn’t have much taste. Spaghetti was plain . Cher steak was not made of cheesesteak just roast beef making it tuff. While I understand no dinning in during this time. Silverware would have been nice.

I called to see if they had GLUTEN-FREE and Dairy free options and Craig the manager said THEY DO!!!! Sometimes you just need pizza! I ordered a 10" gluten free and dairy free pizza with pepperoni. (They have a larger size that's 14".) The pizza did not disappoint. Super good and I ate all but 2 slices. Oh, just make sure to let them know, no parmesan when ordering vegan. My friend ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. Hers looked amazing. You know it's going to be good when the pizza dough isn't a perfect circle! As far as other gluten free and dairy free options, I'm not sure. I came for pizza, and I got yummy pizza! I love the red checkered tablecloths and the parmesan and red pepper shakers. Perfect for a pizzeria! And it's perfectly situated next to a Ben & Jerry's. We I HIGHLY recommend for gluten free and vegan cheese pizza!

I got the smallest personal pie with mushrooms, anchovies and spinach for $18.30. The crust was perfect and the toppings delicious, not quite enough mushrooms, but they were chopped nicely. It took at least 20 minutes, but I ordered right when they opened at 11 AM. Also, it’s not Luke and Ollies anymore and not their menu. It’s IOPizza but if you click through you get the right menu.

This place is near our condo so we were able to walk down within a minute to grab dinner. The hubs ordered at Stromboli, which he completely enjoyed. I had a cheese calzone, that was delicious. The hubs wasn't a super fan of the chunky marinara dipping sauce. But the flavor was good. This isn't a wood fired / brick oven type of crust with that crunch, however it was still very good. We are definitely looking forward to trying a pizza soon.

The food was awful but the servers were great and so was the atmosphere. This is a place to drink beers and watch football, not eat dinner with the family. Grilled Caesar Wrap - 1/5 - not enough dressing or chicken. Fish N Chips - 3/5 - seemed like a small portion although the breading was tasty Shrimp Salad - 1/5 - no thanks Alligator bites - 3/5 - dipping sauce was ok

So this was our second night here. We ate at Dinghy’s last night and loved it so we went back. We walked in and sat down like before and NEVER had anyone wait on us. In fact one of the girls walked down to the end where we were at, spoke with a regular, took his order and turned around and walked off. She didn’t even acknowledge us and she was standing right there. We were so disappointed that we walked out and came down the street to another spot to eat. Can’t even review the food because we never were waited on.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. We had the most offensive experience here. We are traveling from out of state, and the officer stationed outside scanned our ids and ushered us through. When we got inside, the bartender insisted our ids were not valid and asked us to leave. On our way out, we talked to the officer and asked if he could see anything wrong with our ids, trying to understand the situation. He said that he has a scanner, and they did not inside. He was very kind, and went in to speak with them. He told us to go inside, that it should be all good. When we went back in, the bartender treated us terribly. I have never been treated so rudely at any business in my life. She said that she didn’t care if he scanned our ids. The officer even validated them in front of her. She said they made her “uncomfortable” and that it was her decision to refuse us service. I pulled up our states DMV site, and showed her that they matched our ids. We asked to speak to an owner or manager, and she said “that’s me.” She followed us out the door and continued to be nasty the entire time. It was clear this was an ego issue, and she didn’t want to admit that she was wrong in the situation. What’s incredibly ironic in the situation, is that 2 of the 3 people in our group were served here two days ago. I have never been treated so terribly in a business nor have I have I ever been told my id isn’t valid. BEWARE of the bartender circled in the photo. *EDIT* Address the owner’s reply to my review, the person who’s ID was accused of being “fake” according to the bartender, was served at the Dinghy with that same ID two days prior, no issue. We also watched the bartender the entire time our IDs were in her possession, and she did not use a black light, she used her phone flashlight. Again, this was a clear issue of someone with an oversized ego not to wanting to admit her mistake. Considering all of the owner’s unprofessional responses to the other reviews for this restaurant, I doubt anyone has received adequate customer service training.

Food was good. Ordered a burger for myself and kids meals for kids. (Grab your table then order at bar with bartender). Burger was a good size but the fries were not what was expected for $15. Expected a larger portion compared to other restaurants. Food tasted great and came out quick granted it was a slow Tuesday late evening. Live music at the other end of the restaurant and sounded good. We had just left the beach and looking for a quick restaurant to get in AC and have a burger and if was perfect for that.

Lovely day having lunch at the bar after helping my bf on a shoot of a pool. We had the orange hibiscus cider, lemonade, the fish and chips, side salad which was so good, Jeff got the special which was a chicken bacon ranch wrap that was hot and well-balanced, we had regular fries and cajun fries, we loved it all. Very sweet bartender taking care of us. Highly recommend.

Nestled in the charming Isle of Palms, Papi's Taqueria featuring Cachitas Kitchen is a delightful beachside eatery that specializes in mouthwatering Mexican cuisine. Known for its tantalizing shrimp, meat, and veggie tacos, this cozy spot also boasts a vibrant rooftop bar where you can sip on an impressive selection of local beers and specialty cocktails.
Nice atmosphere and street parking available nearby. I wanted to get something to go and eat on the beach and this place had some good options. The Mulitas were amazing! They gave me plenty of filling, the flavors were all there and I asked for extra pico. The bartender was very nice and they made the food fairly quick. Definitely want to come back and try more food next time.

We have been a fan Cachita’s food trailer for years. We moved to the other side of the harbor so we don’t get the chance to go as much. We happened to be in Mt. Pleasant and decided to pop over to IOP to check out Papi’s/Cachita’s and we were not disappointed. We both got the same order and it was fantastic. If you like it hot have them dice up Serrano peppers in your order. They are spicy and fantastic!

Finally made it to Papi’s on IOP tonight. Wow, bloody wow… We’ve heard so many great things about this place, but have never popped in to check it out even though we live just minutes away. Tonight was the night… What a treat, what an experience, just spectacular. From the time we walked in till the time we left, we were treated like family. The bartender / server “Hollie” was more than accommodating. She recommended their sushi style fully loaded fish roll. Talk about a circus in your mouth. I thanked baby Jesus after I finished that heavenly dish. 🙏😇. Even better, their margaritas and assortment of tequila’s are abundant and off the charts. Highly recommend… 5 Stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ and 3 Thumbs Up From Us 👍👍👍.

Pretty solid Mexican food, especially in an area that doesn’t have a ton of diverse food options. The blackened mahi mahi taco was one of the best fish tacos I’ve had in a long time and the nachos were a generous portion, perfect for splitting! Also, highly recommend trying a watermelon Cadillac margarita, because it was perfect after a long hot day at the beach!

Not sure how this has over 4 stars. The staff was nice enough but I would probably rather eat at Taco Bell (and I despise Taco Bell). Street Tacos: 2/5 Taco Salad: 2.5/5

Small taco restaurant with seating on multiple levels. I was visiting from out of town with my Mexican wife and another Mexican couple. The weather was bad so we decided to get lunch. Al Pastor tacos are authentic and money. Because of the weather, downtown Charleston had many flooded roads. I asked our server who was local what we should do. She hand wrote a list for us to take with us to explore Mt. Pleasant. She really went out of her way. Loved this little find and the staff made it that much better.

Food was bland, I will not go back, waitress was great, lady at bar, handing tea was rude

Yes yes yes yes yes! This place is amazing! One of the best before or after beach spots. They have a really good variety on the menu, and it was all packed with so much flavor! I am a taco connoisseur, and I am telling you, you can't go wrong with Papi Taqueria. I can add this to my list of new favorite beach eats! Nothing beats a fresh suntan, salty hair, a margarita in your hand, and a tray full of yummy tacos! 🌮

Nestled within the Sweetgrass Inn at Wild Dunes Resort, Oystercatcher Restaurant & Bar is a vibrant destination that pays homage to its namesake, the American Oystercatcher. This lively eatery invites guests to unwind and indulge in fresh, locally sourced seafood and craft cocktails. With a menu crafted by talented chefs, diners can savor specialties like Baked Oysters while enjoying the warm ambiance created by friendly staff members.
We started with the Shuck and Savor experience. Chef Thalita Smith and Manager Sydney were amazing in explaining the oysters, the procurement process, and the wine in pairing with them. We learned so much! Then we went for dinner and were amazed again! Manager Dana was able to seat us right away. She was so attentive! Chef Thalita is so good at what she does! She was so personable and knowledgeable. Our server, Nick was so on top of things and his demeanor made our whole experience amazing! By the way - his chocolate milk made our son smile! The oysters were amazing, the Asian salad was so refreshing, the kids chicken strips for our son were huge, and the dessert-ASTOUNDING! Thank you! We can’t wait to visit again!

My wife and I recently enjoyed a quick staycation at Wild Dunes Resort and made a reservation at the Oyster Catcher. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by James and Georgia, and they were absolutely phenomenal. Their warm welcome, upbeat energy, and amazing personalities truly set the tone for a fantastic night. We were also fortunate to meet Christina, who I believe is the assistant manager, and she was absolutely wonderful. She checked on us several times throughout the evening and made sure everything was going smoothly. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out and added so much to our experience. Our server Kendall was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, she was spot on. We had such a great conversation and learned that she works there during the summers. The Oyster Catcher is extremely lucky to have someone like her. She was sweet, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. A huge shout out to the chef as well. The food was amazing. We had the skirt steak, potatoes, Caesar salad, and fried oysters. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. Lastly, hats off to the bartenders who made the old fashioneds spot on. Their skill and care in crafting each cocktail were the perfect finishing touch to an exceptional evening. Thank you so much to the entire team for making our staycation so memorable. We will absolutely be coming back just for another meal at the Oyster Catcher. Five stars are not enough. Everyone we met was truly outstanding and we are so grateful for the incredible hospitality.

Angelica is simply amazing! She was the bartender at the bar in the lobby of Wild Dunes Resort (Sweetwater) on May 19, 2024 and she kept the bar open a few hour late to ensure the wedding party and guests had the time of their lives. I just had dinner and drinks a few days ago and ran into Angelica again. She provides first class service with a smile and she makes everything better!
Bobby C — Google review
While the food was creatively presented and tasted great, the overall dining experience fell short. Portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price, and the service was nothing special. The interior seating was uncomfortable—especially the high chairs, which were awkward and hard to manage. The constant flow of hotel guests walking by made the atmosphere feel more like a busy lobby than a relaxing restaurant.

For high quality, creative meals, it is not overpriced. It’s extremely clean, well decorated and has a good vibe. The food is incredible. The executive chef has a very creative way of taking regular food and producing unique, and delicious dishes. Riley, our server, was right on top of things and we had a large, picky party. Overall, job well done!

Overpriced for tiny portion. You will leave hungry! 114$ plus tip for one fish full of little bones no sides , plus one a tiny bowl with rice with octopus..but you can not see the octopus!! We are going somewhere else for dinner after this. Very disappointed 😞

It was a pleasure during this visit to have breakfast available at the hotel. This was definitely an upgrade to my trip. The food, coffee, and service were all great! Shot out to to a wonderful waiter named Mario that provided top notch service. Shout out to Drew the Manager who took out the time to greet me and speak to me about my breakfast visit! I will re-visit this spot again in the future.

It took about 15 minutes + for the waiter to come and take our drink order and for the drinks (2 - one being for my 11 year old). We didn't get our app for 30-45 min...and in the mean time someone offered us some potato chips due to the wait. Our waiter hardly dropped by to check on us. Food arrived and was completely mediocre. We watched a couple sit down only to be ignored and give up and leave. Don't waste your time or money here. I waited tables through college and my early 20's. This place was the first time I've tipped 10%. We ate at coastal pizza the night before and service, food and $$$ was 10x better.

Deli
Restaurant
Woody's Eatery is a laid-back deli located at Wild Dunes Resort, offering both dine-in and grab-and-go options. Situated near the resort's Swim Center and Harbor Golf Course Pro Shop, this casual eatery serves breakfast favorites all day and a variety of hot and cold sandwiches for lunch. Visitors can enjoy sandwiches, burgers, and beverages in a relaxed setting. While some guests found the coffee to be overpriced, others appreciated the quick service and diverse menu offerings.
June 2024 - During our four-day stay, my wife and I visited Woody's for breakfast each morning. We are from Charlotte, North Carolina, and our experience at Woody's, which is attached to the pro golf shop at Wild Dunes, was consistently delightful. On our first visit, we arrived around 7:45 AM and were immediately charmed by the peaceful atmosphere. We chose to sit outside, where we had a great view of the early morning tennis matches. The gentle breeze and overcast sky made for a relaxing and comfortable dining experience, free from the harsh sun. We ordered the largest breakfast platter, which included three well-seasoned scrambled eggs, two juicy sausage patties, and crispy French toast sticks. Jerome, who took our order on two of the days, was very careful to meet our requests. He even spoke with the kitchen cooks to ensure our meals could be split in half, making the perfect portion. Ritesh, the cook in the kitchen, was very nice and personable. He really engaged us during our visit, and his infectious smile made us excited to see him each morning. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent, contrary to some of the mixed reviews we had read. The setting, the food, and the calm morning air combined to create a memorable and relaxing experience. We will definitely be returning for breakfast again! Thank you for making our mornings so enjoyable. See you next time!

The absolute BEST eats and service! One vacation meal we didn’t have to worry about because the flavor hit home! Make sure to get the fried chicken sandwich with the slaw! The flavor was unique and had me guessing with each bite why this was so familiar and different! I loved it all! We couldn’t stop eating so, for a special treat we grabbed some of the chicken salad and that was a flavor burst also! Get this with fries because the seasoning was so perfect that you can eat them plain! Best and most friendly service, so welcoming and helpful! Definitely stop by and grab a bite! We’ll be back! Affordable and a hearty portion! Very clean and fast service! Ate so fast I didn’t get a photo of the food but it was fantastic :)

Don’t be fooled by 4 star rating. Great quick and go good. Lots of variety. If you want a quick fun close place to eat, you won’t be disappointed. If you want Lobster and Steak with dressed up waiters, it’s not going be your jam. Awesome food, easy for families, kid friendly. It’s off a golf and Tennis Club. Service was just fine

Very rude cashier. Came here two days in a row; first day I tried to order a fried chicken sandwich. I was told with a lot of attitude that they don’t serve lunch until 11….it was 10:57. Ok, nbd, I got a breakfast sandwich. We went again today, and I asked for 2 eggs over easy. Again, with attitude, I was told that they stop breakfast at 11. It was LITERALLY 11:01. They had “put everything away already”
Jesse P — Google review
We ordered the breakfast platter and funnel fries and everything tasted great. Coffee was simple brewed and tasted fine, but definitely NOT worth $5 - best to go off the resort to get better/cheaper coffee. Employee working the front was monosyllabic, we asked her how her day was and she replied “good” and ended the conversation. Kind of odd for resort customer service.

Regardless of the bad reviews I had a great experience here!! I took my food to go so I was in and out fairly fast. It was all very yummy including the French toast sticks and my breakfast sandwich!! 10/10 recommend but the only downfall is they’re opened until 2:30 which I don’t understand that

Casual spot with good portions. Very pleased that they have a gluten free bagel (which I did for an egg sandwich). Chef was great - asked if I enjoyed my meal, which I did. Planning on returning during my stay, even if just to grab a coffee and something from their fridge.

The restaurant features a full kids menu with options like mac & cheese, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, fries, peanut butter mini pies and banana pudding.
We had a fantastic experience at Islander 71 during our recent visit to Isle of Palms. From the moment we arrived, the lively, upbeat atmosphere set the tone for a great evening. The views and vibe perfectly captured that relaxed coastal charm. The Flounder Sandwich was absolutely delicious — fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crisp. It was easily a highlight of the meal. We also tried the She Crab Soup, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor — a definite must-order. The frozen drink was top-notch and hit the spot on a warm evening. Service was excellent, and we want to give a special shoutout to our waiter Sam B., who was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend Islander 71 for anyone looking for great food, strong drinks, and a fun atmosphere by the water. We’ll definitely be back!

Wanted to give five stars. Just couldn't. Been coming to this restaurant for years and years when I come back to the Isle. The view of the marina is stunning. The food was fabulous. So why four stars? (1) There's not a lot of selection, menu is small. (2) I was absolutely unable to get my water refilled in 90 minutes. (3) Having reservations, and with the restaurant not being 'conpletely' full, there is no way that the parking lot should be completely full. It's one thing to have signs indicating which parking is yours, but without any enforcement, actual patrons are forced to walk from the paid parking at the marina... Not the greatest experience.

Pulled up in the boat for the 1st time. Great oysters & good. The salmon BLT was amazing. They were out of the fried saltines, which was a bummer because we wanted to try those, but otherwise everything was really good.

We were set to sit in the main dining room, but waited upstairs to wait for our table. They serve a different menu on the top deck. The food was great and the views were outstanding. It was a great evening, and being outside was perfect. The fish sandwich is the real deal. Look forward to going back.

I have seen Islander 71 on IG and have really been wanting to check it out. This place is back in the CUT! The drive is pretty as you do cut through a neighborhood to get to it. Once you arrive, the parking lot is huge and the parking is free and they do have valet available. We had reservations for inside but we ended up sitting outside instead as it was a bit chilly inside. Had we realized the menu inside was a bit different than the menu for the outside area, we would have requested a different table. The interior was beautiful and well put together. The outside has beautiful views of the water and they also have an astroturfed area where you can play a little corn hole and they have a stage for a live band. Plenty of seating available. For the food, I had the seared Ahi tuna sandwich w/ the risotto Saladin the side (I’ve never had tuna like this before so my first impression was that I needed to get used to it but the flavor was there and it was cooked well) and it looked great! We got the fries with the she crab soup drizzled over them and those were delicious (who would have thought that would have been a tasty combination?) We did get a separate order of the she crab soup and that was fantastic. There were plenty of good sized clumps of crab meat and it was flavorful and creamy. We will definitely be back to visit soon!

Beautiful views. Lots of space inside and outside. Friendly service. Shrimp trip appetizer was really good. My grilled flounder with side or roasted veges and fries was ok. The fries and veges were good. Flounder was a nice portion but taste was so so. Other plate ordered wa shrimp po boy wchich was good. Banana crème brûlée for desert was good!!

Huey's On The Links Course is a restaurant located at the Wild Dunes Resort, offering modern Southern breakfast and lunch options with a scenic view of the golf course. While some guests experienced initial service delays, they were impressed by the attentive staff and complimentary appetizers provided to make up for the inconvenience. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, including Caesar salad, pizza, sausage dog, and pulled pork nachos with Carolina Gold BBQ.
Scott and Daniel make excellent cocktails! Sydney was quite possibly the best server on the island, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient yet unobtrusive. The views are lovely and can be enjoyed from nearly any seat. This restaurant has some of the best appetizers! It became our go-to for afternoon snacks and refreshments.
Denise — Google review
We unfortunately had a terrible experience this past Saturday night. After scanning the bar code in the booklet given during check-in that showed dining options, menus, and times, we settled on Huey’s. It said it closed at 8. We arrived at 7:20. One other party was there, but it was otherwise empty. Upon entering we were told to “hurry up and sit down because the kitchen closes at 7:30.” This became this guy’s mantra. At one point I said, “Ok, well it says online that the restaurant is open til 8:00.” His response, “Well, no, we close at 8:00.” Those 2 statements seemed the same to me. Anyway, we had already looked at the menu online and knew what we wanted. We tried ordering 3 or 4 different items with responses like, “sorry we’re out of that,,” and “the kitchen closes at 7:30.” We were still trying to make it work. After continuing to strike out, one of our guests said, “ok, well what do you have?” The waiter responded, “like I said, the kitchen closes at 7:30 so we have some things leftover from lunch.” We said ok to that and asked if he’d bring us the lunch menu instead if that was all they had left. He brought it to us and proceeded to basically say they were out of those items too. The guy was flustered with our arrival and absolutely did not want us there. He tried his best to talk us out of staying and it worked. According to the waiter, they had nothing left on the menu (although I find that hard to believe) and acted as if we should have known the kitchen closed at 7:30. Not sure how we could possibly know since everything said the restaurant closed at 8. This was probably the rudest customer service experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We talked about it for the rest of our trip. I wish I would’ve caught his name.

The night started off a little rough. We didn’t get a waiter to the table until we had to ask about 15 minutes in. The waitress was very nice and attentive and was more than apologetic for our inconvenience. The food took a while to come out but they ended up giving us an appetizer on the house. We didn’t find out until later that our whole meal had actually been comped for the wait time. This was very nice and what a restaurant should do for their guests. Food was very good, and ambience was great! We will be returning!
Erika T — Google review
Typical golf and country club bar, food was subpar at best. The salad was a mess and they are either incompetent or sabotaged it. When we arrived they were insistent on finding out if we were members, we said that we weren't and then they said "well the order was put in wrong, we need to fix it". I don't understand what that means but it looks like they pulled out 2/3rds of the salad after they took it back to the kitchen to "fix it" (or they are incompetent).

Fun, southern atmosphere with descent food. We sat outside in October and enjoyed the fresh air. My wife's and my burgers were really good, my coleslaw has been better in past visits. My wife had the Annabelle Lee, and I had the Beef sleeper burger. Beer price surprised me, seemed high, but maybe that's because we are from Wisconsin where beer flows like water at great prices. We always make a stop at Poe's when visiting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Laid-Back Island Vibes & Seriously Good Eats at Poe’s Tavern! We stopped by Poe’s Tavern on Sullivan’s Island and were blown away! I had the Bug Burger topped with pimento cheese—and WOW. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. 🤤 Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. We also ordered the queso, and it was a total hit—creamy, cheesy, and just the right amount of kick. The vibe was chill, the service was great, and even better, parking was free (which is a big win on the island). Prices were super reasonable for the quality of food and location. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a killer burger and a relaxed island experience. 🏝️🍔🧀

The atmosphere was wonderful! We sat outside at covered picnic tables. The inside seating was warmly lit with cozy nooks. The bathroom was nice with book pages lining the walls. The food was generously portioned and fresh. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was delicious. You can't see the pile of boiled egg, bacon crumbles, and bleu cheese. Awesome beachside in small town of Sullivans Island. One of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Big portion, amazing sauce, great crunch to it. This was the BEST meal i have ever had. I work in the food service industry, the waitress was so kind and she took the time to make the experience personal. We ordered the flat bread, the gnocchi, and the vodka pasta! SOOOO good 10/10 would come back! We also tried a bunch of desserts and they where so good! The other reviews are right…this place was so delicious! The service, food, and cozy vibe were all amazing. My favorite dish was the farro & Brussel sprout salad (I never knew something so simple could have so much flavor! & the crunchy peanuts were such a pleasant surprise!). Our second favorite was The Rutledge pizza. We also ordered the radiatore pasta, pesce a la plancha, and chocolate mousse. All yummy :)

Everything was awesome from the service, the vibes, and the food. Must get reservation as wait time in peak beach season is usually 1.5-2.5 hrs. Pizza is fantastic with nice dough, and fresh ingredients. Definitely more wood fired Neapolitan vs thin and crispy. Pasta was clearly fresh, huge portion, perfectly cooked and salted well. Sauce soaked up in the noodles well but didn’t make them soggy. Parking is slightly difficult, with minimal spots attached and then street/paid parking around it.

As someone formerly in the hospitality industry, I am always grateful when I get to dine somewhere that has talented chefs & a wonderful atmosphere. Every dish was created with care & attention to detail along with amazing flavor combinations. I loved that everything was fresh. My boyfriend & I enjoyed drinks at the bar before transitioning to our table with the rest of our party. Portions are large & easily shareable. Highly recommend reservations & trying as much of the menu as you can!

Outstanding restaurant. We did not have a reservation but were able to get seats at the bar. Frank the bartender was terrific and helped us with drink and food choices since this was our 1st time here. Frank really knew the food and also recommended a perfect wine pairing with our 2nd dish. We split the N. Carolina Apple Salad of celery, apples, mint and dates dressed in a vinagrette with dots of gorgonzola cream on the plate. It's only available during the fall season so we went for it and were glad we did! (Pardon the salad pic taken after we began eating it!) Our 2nd splitter was a white pizza called Five Fathom Hole 3.0 with clams, rapini, mozzarella, garlic, chili flakes and fresh lemon to squeeze on it. We also had a cocktail, beer and a glass of wine.

One of our favorite dining experiences during our trip to the Charleston area. We started with a seared seafood sausage in tomato butter appetizer that was fantastic followed by the Ricotta gnocchi with short rib ragu and The Rutledge pizza. We finished by sharing their pecan bourbon crème brûlée. This restaurant deserves every ounce of praise it receives. They also have an excellent Italian wine list.

Absolutely lovely time at the obstinate daughter this weekend! The food is so yummy and you really can’t go wrong with anything you choose to get. We got the sweet roll, gnocchi, and pork belly brunch item as well as the catch a buzz and another lavender drink! Highly recommend all of the above. Matt was our server and he made our experience very special as we were celebrating our anniversary with friends!! Such a great spot near the beach on Sullivans Island. I definitely would be prepared to walk a bit from where you park a since most of the parking is off the main road. Make sure to make a reservation at least a week in advance, but if you don’t make it in time, I would recommend setting notifications for reservations that open up throughout the week (that’s what we did). Absolutely worth the hype!!!

The Obstinate Daughter is a must-visit on Sullivan’s Island. The pizza was excellent — perfectly crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right balance of toppings. I also had the meatball sandwich, which was outstanding — the meatballs were tender, the sauce rich, and the fresh mozzarella on top made it perfect. The grilled veggies and greens on the side were a great complement. The atmosphere is fun and coastal, and the service was friendly and attentive. A fantastic spot for great food and a relaxed vibe!

Highly recommend eating here! My husband, grandmother and I came to eat here this past Saturday for brunch. There was plenty of street parking. The restaurant was well lit and it had plenty of tables for us to choose from. A waitress was great and welcoming. The food was delicious. I loved the chicken and biscuit dish. The biscuit was so soft on the inside and I love how they got it crispy on the outside. The omelette I had was perfect. I often have a problem, finishing such a large omelette, but this one was delicious and I was left wanting more afterwards. Definitely eat here!

Enjoyed dining here for Easter brunch, this was my first experience with Crave. A fun restaurant located in a pleasant section of The Shoppes At Seaside Farms, I enjoyed it very much. A quiet, relaxed, atmosphere, with great ambiance, delicious food, a fabulous menu and impeccable service. I had the eggs Benedict and my mother had the ham, Swiss and mushroom omelette. About $18 each, they were both delicious! She also enjoyed their mimosa. Piper, our server, was amazing, and really made our whole dining experience that much better. They also have very clean bathrooms. Patio seating available, though we sat inside. Their bar was very cool-looking. Can’t wait to go back and try their burger!

After walking in yesterday afternoon and only seeing a brunch menu we did walk out and over to Woodward Tavern. But we were there for 10 minutes and not seen so we got up and came back to Crave and we are so happy we did! Immediately seated by a gentleman who I'm assuming was the manager on duty. We had heard from a good friend who is a local that we must try the mac and cheese and that its voted the nation's best. So..we ordered that add bacon and the fried chicken BLT sandwich with fries. Let me tell you something. That was the best Mac and cheese and the best chicken sandwich I've ever ate. I eat alot. The pimento cheese just added so much flavor. The house made ranch was so delicious and those fries were 10/10 perfect. My wife doesn't like pimento cheese but she still ate most of her half of the sandwich. Definitely worth stopping in for legit ANYTHING on their menu.

This was my first time visiting Crave and they did not disappoint. I received Exceptional Service from my bartender Matthew and dined at the bar. I ordered the special local char grilled peach salad that tasted extremely fresh and had such a lovely balance of flavors and texture throughout with the sliced almonds that paired perfectly with the contrast of the goat cheese with the peaches and berries with their homemade ginger honey vinaigrette. I also ordered their award winning macaroni and cheese on the side. I ordered it with the truffle mushrooms but these photos don’t include them, Matthew my server at the bar had a slight mistake and brought them over to the side which i appreciated. I must say that the Mac n cheese didn’t disappoint and I’m glad I tried it without the truffle mushrooms as it tasted delicious as is, the truffled mushrooms did enhance the flavor but next time I will order it as is. For dessert I ordered the dessert sampler which I was able to customize to my liking and select 2 key lime pie and one Red Velvet mini pies. I honestly preferred the red velvet as it was decadent and had a nice balance with the ice cream layer with the whipped cream on top. And while I enjoyed the key lime pie as well, it tasted more like a key lime mousse rather than the usual southern pie with the custard. Parking was very easy to find and the staff in general were very friendly and helpful with providing information about the dishes. Highly recommend and I will definitely come back to try some other dishes off of their menu.

We came into town late last night, and the bartender was so polite and willing to accommodate us. He was very attentive and took care of every single one of our needs with the greatest care and always with a smile. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the drinks were really good too. I hope to return one day

Food - This restaurant boasts having one of the best Mac and Cheese dishes in the continental US. This is backed by numerous awards, publications from multiple magazines and diner reviews. It did live up to the hype. It was creamy and flavorful without being to over the top or soupy. It was absolutely a win and somewhere we would bring others for a try. Surprising was the cost, for something with that many awards it was extremely reasonable. Aside from the Mac we ordered the stuffed mushrooms which had a good creative blend for the filling. We also recieved a complimentary bread basket with some amazing honey maple butter. Lastly were the drinks. The key lime mojito was well balanced and refreshing, but the star was the smokin peach was perfect. It was so good we had 2. If your in the part of Charleston it would be worth a visit. Service - We went Sunday night, quickly greated and say. Waitress was to the table quickly and provided some recommendations based on her own experience. See was not hovering over the table and was quick to get food to the table. Absolutely excellent service. Restaurant - Very clean and well put together. There is the option to dine inside and out. We sat indoors as it was a bit muggy. Bar was well kept, floors clean and the table was not sticky. Overall - Going to come back here again. Doesn't matter what main you get, order a bowl of Mac to share with everyone. Also, don't pass up the Smokin Peach.

We stopped there for lunch. They claimed to have the most award-winning mac & cheese in America, so we ordered one with chicken and also got a She Crab Soup. The mac & cheese honestly tasted nothing special. The grilled chicken was way better than the mac & cheese. We were not too impressed with the crab soup either.

As we entered there is an old fashion revolving door which was cool. The inside is completely open and spacious. There are tv’s all over playing every sport you’d like. I had the BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Smoked Gouda ‘twas delicious. My wife had the Philly Steak with Caramelized onions, Red & Green Peppers. She said it was the best Philly she’s had in a long, long time, “They got the peppers just right”. My daughter had the Penne Chicken & Sun Dried Tomatoes which she enjoyed. Oh, I almost forgot the Waffle Fries were good too. Our waitress was funny and very attentive. We’ll be back I’m sure.

We usually come here when we visit Charleston for a long weekend. So this Friday night we stopped in for 🍽️ dinner and watch the Carolina Hurricanes 🌀 (Canes) game. Unfortunately the restaurant couldn’t get the game 😫 Blacked out we believe. However, the manager was quick to try and jump in and get the game for us with no luck. Thank you to him for trying to accommodate our request. 👏🏼 Our server was amazing. He was very attentive and always there to get us fresh 🍹 . Food came out hot and in a timely manner. 😊 The food this time was a little bit disappointing 😒although the shrimp eggrolls were amazing. I ordered the wings-they were overdone and dry. The waffle fries-never disappoint 🙂 Husband ordered pasta with shrimp 🍤 and enjoyed it. On a sidenote, the last time we were here, I ordered the chop salad that you can pretty much make to order and that was out of this world good 👍🏻 👍🏻 We will definitely come back as we always enjoy the service and the food usually is really good. We still highly recommend this restaurant they must’ve just had a bad batch of wings. 😒 See you next year!! 👋

Grace and Christian served us WELL. The food was delicious and flavorful. The ambience is for sure sports bar. Overwhelming amount of screen but, it was calm and relaxed. We had the wings, which you can split the flavors in 2 on. The signature chicken Chesapeake and the spinach dip, which could be a little creamier, yet still delicious. Will gladly return again on a weekday when it's not too busy. Parking was also pretty easy. The revolving door is different but a little restricting.

This is not your typical Thai restaurant! Upscale, great atmosphere and wonderful service. The happy hour is our favorite in Mt Pleasant and sitting on the back deck during sunset is such a lovely experience. Have not had a bad bite here, but our favorite fish is the pad see ew with beef. Thank you Basil for being our go-to Friday date night spot!

Went up to the bar because dining area was busy. I appreciate the hostess for letting us know that. But we order the different types of duck and dumplings. It was good just wish they didn’t drench it in sauce because it made the skin saggy.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Our reservation was confirmed promptly, and the staff inquired about our preferences for indoor or outdoor seating and any special occasions. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. The venue is very spacious with a beautiful view over the lake, adding to the ambiance. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were served and cleared in a timely manner. Our custom cake was stored in the refrigerator and later sliced and served perfectly. The food was delicious and the service professional. Highly recommend this place for any occasion!

I have been to Basil back in the day when they were in downtown Charleston, now they move to Mt. Pleasant with better space, view, and bar upstairs. The food we order was all amazing and scrumptious. Open the kitchen so you can see how food has been cooked. And wine and cocktails were superb as well. Highly recommend!

Update: We have been back a couple times and enjoyed every visit. This is easily our new go to for Asian cuisine. Tonight we had sweet and sour with tofu. Unfortunately didn't get a photo of the appetizer but they were great as well. Came for restaurant week and was very impressed! Interesting cocktails and the food was amazing. Don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu!

If you are used to paying NY prices (ie. not much) for excellent Thai food, you are going to have an unhappy surprise when you go to Basil. It is really expensive, but it's also excellent. So, if you can get over shelling out about double what you are used to, go. Food is delicious and authentic, the ambiance is nice and the service is good. It's also family friendly. Food highlights include the masaman curry, the green curry, the tom kha soup, and the fried dumplings. They also have a lot of specialty cocktails and plenty to choose from in the wine and beer department. Parking isn't bad - getting in is challenging. We highly recommend reservations, even on a weeknight!

The restaurant prides itself on using locally-sourced ingredients to create innovative and flavorful dishes. As a sister restaurant to Langdons Restaurant and Wine Bar, Opal upholds the same high standards for its food, including house-made fresh pasta, local seafood, and top-quality meats.
First time at Opal. Will definitely be back! Our table ordered the muscles in the garlic broth, the meatballs, and the mozzarella. Everything, including the bread that was fresh out of the oven, was fantastic! Then our steak and pasta arrived and outperformed the appetizers! (The steak in the picture is a split entree.). Even the apples in the white Sangria were fresh and flavorful! Our waitress said she’d been there 12 years. That in itself says a lot.

Dear Opal Management, This past visit was our first time dining at your establishment, and we wanted to share our wonderful experience. We began our meal with the oysters on the half shell and the charcuterie board, both of which were incredibly delicious. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed their entrees, finding everything to be cooked to absolute perfection. Additionally, our waitress, who mentioned she was from Romania, provided a level of delightful service that is truly rare these days. We will certainly be returning to Opal soon to explore more of your delicious menu! Sincerely, Chuck

The 3 meals we ate at the restaurant were delicious. The issues was, the 4th meal we brought home to my 93 year old mother was burnt! My sister-in-law had the salmon, it was excellent. Ordered the same meal to go. Got home, saw it and it was absolutely awful, burnt to a crisp, looks like someone tried to scrape of the burnt part. Anyway, had to call them up get it remade, drive all the way back to pick up the new meal. Then drive all the way back home again and I was exhausted to begin with. Not the way I wanted to end my day. So I got, I’m so sorry from the staff. Personally, I feel when you make that kind of mistake and you as a chef and the person that boxed it up absolutely knew it shouldn’t have been sent out, the restaurant should have refunded that meal or offered a free dessert. Neither was done or offered. It’s irritating that I’m the one that had to go out of my way for their mistake. It’s not like I went to McDonald’s and they messed up. In the future I will be checking every to go order from them. It’s the 3rd screw up they’ve made with us. 🙁

It is known for its laid-back approach to fine dining, making it popular among beachgoers, local families, and food enthusiasts.
Our first time at High Thyme certainly did not disappoint! From the second we entered the door we were greeted with the most fabulous smile and warm welcome. We had to wait a little but were seated at the bar and the bartender suggested the best bottle of wine! The appetizer special was out of this world. And the famous lasagna was perfection. My family and I dined at High Thyme for dinner last night and everything was amazing! Shout out to Emily and our server, Savanna for being so nice and engaging! We started off with a soft shell crab over grits for our appetizers and wow, what a great choice! It was so fresh and tasted delicious through and through. For our entrees we had the tuna romaine salad, the lamb meatloaf with potatoes, the bone in pork chop with fingerling potatoes and the lasagna. We all loved everything on our plates and each other's plates! This was not our first time here and definitely will not be our last. Thank you High Thyme for a wonderful dinner that brought smiles to all of our faces!

The Hungry Detective and Special Agent Deirdre had a great experience at High Thyme after the Radio Bomb show…if I could give 6 stars I would because they always deliver and go above and beyond the call of duty!!! Sit at the bar with Savannah serving up awesome cocktails and five star service…Savannah knows her stuff!! Atmosphere: Super cool locals vibe with some almost famous TV stars. Food: We had the world famous Seared Scallops and Italian Sausage Ditalini…absolutely cooked to perfection and good tasting. VERDICT: Guilty as sin for being next level good…Good food brings good people together.

Every once in a while you “find” a great place that has been right in front of you all along. High Thyme is one of those places! We came in for dinner for the first time recently and were blown away and couldn’t believe it has been an option for us for so many years and we just have been missing out. The food was incredible, portions generous, service friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was very reasonably priced with great selection. We arrived right at 5 and the dining area had plenty of tables available but it appeared as though the bar may have opened up a bit earlier because every stool was already filled. By 5:30 the dining room was also packed (this was a Saturday night in between Christmas and New Year’s for reference). All in all we are thrilled to find another great spot on Sullivan’s and can’t wait to go back. Definitely aspiring regulars.

Always in my top 5 in Charleston at any moment. The absolute best staff, best service and consistently good food. This is a great place. If you have a crowd with varied taste, there are beef, options, seafood options, and pasta. The menu is small and changes fairly often and I can’t recommend the specials enough. The cauliflower dip is absolutely to die for, and they are seared tuna, the appetizer, or the entrée is incredible. The dishes are always creative, the ingredients are fresh, and it’s always just an overall wonderful dining experience.

Saveurs du Monde Cafe is a charming spot located at the Shoppes At Seaside Farms in Mt Pleasant, SC. The cafe offers a delightful selection of traditional French pastries and cuisine in a modern setting, complete with dog-friendly outdoor tables. Guests can savor an array of delectable dishes such as bacon & egg croissants, quiche Lorraine, banh mi, smoked salmon tartines, and crisp salads.
I see that there are some complaints but every time I’ve gotten takeout, the service and food have been pretty stellar. Today they were having some technical issues and rather than turn us away, they put the order through and I will go back and pay later! The Croque Croissant is my go-to. It’s indulgent but not too rich. Ham and Swiss with bechamel on a croissant is sometimes just the perfect thing.
Gabrielle S — Google review
I really want to love this place—honestly, the food is quite good. But every time I come, I’m reminded that great food alone isn’t enough. There’s a consistent lack of attention to detail that makes the whole experience feel neglected. Dead leaves scattered across the outdoor tables and sidewalk (while every other nearby business manages to keep theirs clean), chipped plates and coffee mugs that I’ve had to ask to replace more than once, and recently, flies inside and even a roach crawling on the wall. These aren’t minor oversights—they signal a lack of pride in what should be a beautiful, thriving café. This place has so much potential. With better leadership, more care, and basic cleanliness, it could easily be a standout in the area. Just look at Owl Bear Café around the corner—lines out the door. There’s no reason this café shouldn’t be operating at the same level. I keep giving it another chance because I want to support it. But until things are cleaned up and taken seriously, I can’t keep coming back. I hope this is taken as encouragement to step things up, because this spot could be something really special. — A customer who wants to return, but can’t right now

Such a nice treat in Mt. Pleasant! The staff was very welcoming and took the time to explain menu items and make recommendations. Love the bottomless coffee and water! I ordered the croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. It was superb! I also enjoyed a side of tomato basil soup, which went well with the croissant sandwich. The dining area is nice and clean, and we enjoyed the French tunes in the background. Outdoor seating is also available. Menu has a great selection of items, and the pastries looked awesome, I will definitely need to return to try some more menu items!

I wish I could give negative stars — that’s how disappointing my experience was at this place. The service was honestly unacceptable. I wasn’t even greeted properly; my “Good morning” was completely ignored. They added cinnamon to my cappuccino (something I’ve never encountered before), and only offered to remake it after noticing I wasn’t drinking it. When they finally remade it, they brought it in a to-go cup, even though I was dining in and had originally received a proper ceramic cup. To make matters worse, it was a large size, even though I had specifically ordered a small — I prefer a strong cappuccino, not a watered-down version that tastes like a latte. We ended up leaving with our croissants, hoping to get a proper coffee elsewhere, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time due to our schedule. So not only did we waste money, but also our time and morning — all because of poor service. I absolutely do not recommend this place. When we go out and spend our money, it’s to enjoy a good experience — not to be let down this badly.

I'd give this place 55 stars if I could. I had a classic Croissant breakfast sandwich and the croissant was so soft and flavorful. Also had to try the bread pudding, yes for breakfast, don't judge me. lol And it was also amazing!!! Stopped by Saveurs DuMonde Cafe at Seaside Farms and was incredibly delighted at the friendliness of the staff there, the amazing pastries and the cute and quaint cafe that they have! While I did not have time to sit and stay and enjoy their full menu, I did get several pastries to go to try. The crème brûlée and the eclairs were absolutely amazing, but the real star of the show was their melt in your mouth macarons! The flavors and texture of the macaron was absolute perfection and left us wishing we had grabbed more! We will definitely be back in again!

The restaurant surprises diners with its unique Taro Signature Roll topped with bell peppers and sweet onions. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and it was a great choice! The sushi was delicious and the service was excellent! We especially liked their miso soup! They also gave us a free dessert and free wall decor!

We stopped here tonight after driving into town to visit. We were immediately seated. We ordered the gyoza, crab cheese wonton, angry dragon roll, pad thai with chicken and the shrimp and steak hibachi. First off the appetizers came out immediately after the soup and salad and then they brought the sushi. Then about 3 minutes later our entrees were brought to our table. We weren't able to even finish one appetizer before we had our entrees. Staggering the dishes works wonders so customers dont feel rushed and have plenty of room. The freshness of the sushi and the flavor was off the charts. Some of the best gyoza and the crab cheese wonton was top 5 quality. We've tried alot. The steak and shrimp was good but the rice lacked flavor and was just bland. The yum yum sauce was a bit too sweet but the downer was the pad thai. It didnt have that sweet taste that the usual pad thai has..maybe it was missing palm sugar or tamarind paste. They did give us dessert on the house which seemed to be for each table which was nice.

This is a good place for sushi. The atmosphere inside is quiet and pleasant. The sushi was made around 10-15 mins after ordering, but I think the reason why the service was fast was because there weren’t that many people at the time. The sushi were great, the sashimi was not too fresh, but it was enjoyable. The staff were polite and generous, we got free desert! The desert was small, but still free. I would recommend this place to another person.

Absolutely delicious!! Went there spontaneously while out and we’ll be back for sure. The service was fast and the staff were so sweet. Very family friendly as well. Highly recommend!

Always great food and service. The sushi was delicious, the Lady Lobster was the best one we had. We also got desert which was also great. Very good service by the waitress and everyone we talked to. I recommend it!!

The food was delicious! They have variety, good service and was very welcoming to a group of 7. Highly recommend if you like sushi, some of the freshest and great tasting that we have had in awhile!!! And their fried rice was delicious as well!

Little gem, cozy place with really good and delicious food, everything was freshly made, steaming hot and well presented. Once you step in you will be greeted nicely and seated. The waiting es minimal, I ordered the hibachi steak lunch plate, the miso soup was excellent, the salad with their special sauce was fantastic (I'm not a salad person but this one I really liked it). The hibachi steak with rice was fresh straight from the griddle to my plate, and it was delicious! All it's flavors, the tenderness of the meat, I loved every bite. I usually don't go to Mount Pleasant but next time I know where I want to eat. 5 stars!

We were seated immediately and the service was incredibly quick. Everyone was super nice. The food was fantastic! I had the crab rangoons and a SC crunch roll and YUM! If we are in the area again we will definitely stop by.

The menu features shrimp salad and smoked salmon croissant sandwiches, along with a superb peach tea served in eco-friendly cups. The café offers daily specials, a variety of pastries, and desserts.
This hidden gem is top notch when it comes to breakfast croissant sandwiches and hamburgers! Their hamburgers are so juicy and tender, too!Their bread is so crunchy and so tasty and made fresh by the baker/owner who is such a kind soul and will make you feel so welcomed!! It's absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend it! Their coffee is so great as well! I love it so much!! I definitely want to keep returning as many times as possible! I can't wait to try everything on the menu and all ther signature coffees. Their almond croissant is out of this world! It has a buttery inner moist layer and crunch almond slivers! It just rocks your world!! I would definitely try this again and again!!! Oh, and pay more to add avocado on your croissant!!! It's so worth it!

Great coffee and croissants! The café has a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying a relaxing morning. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the croissant was flaky and delicious. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Parking might be challenging at peak hours, though, but you'd find a spot! Very friendly and professional staff!

Quaint, fun place we really enjoy for breakfast and lunch. Limited indoor seating and sizeable outdoor seating area in the midst of their herbs, spinach, etc they serve. Watch as they clip some for your sandwich! Delicious croissants to enjoy in breakfast sandwiches and with chicken salad for lunch. They also have very good coffee and specialty coffee drinks. Friendly staff and a neighborhood feel.

The absolute best pastries, breakfast and coffee!! The bacon egg and cheese croissant is 100/10! Also the owner is a super personable, honest and a hard working man! The atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming! I really enjoyed my coffee and breakfast every morning while staying in IOP! I’ll definitely be back for more when I visit again! I wish we had a café Paname in WNC!

Confused by the reviews. Was excited to get the almond croissant and it was 1/4 the size of the chocolate croissant and just okay. I also got an iced coffee and as a former barista it was pretty evident these kids were not properly trained. I watched as my shot of espresso sat for at least 90 seconds while she made another drink, shots should not sit for more than 10-20 seconds for optimal flavor. Kids were very nice behind the counter, just not worth the money or effort. Update to respond to your immaturity. Maybe if you took the constructive criticism the place could be better. Yes I was a barista, and I was a great one but I don’t really need your approval. If it was an almond danish then why did I ask for a croissant and get charged for a croissant, sounds like you need to clarify that with your workers. You’re the one selling iced coffee so that comment doesn’t even make sense. I feel sorry for you and your anger towards the world. Idk if you think your responses are funny, but they are just sad.

Great ice cream and milkshakes! This was our first visit, and while the menu was a little tricky to navigate at first, the staff helped us out. I loved being able to mix ice cream flavors and add our own toppings. it made the experience even more fun. We’ll definitely be back to try more combinations!

The old man with the beard working here discriminated against my service dog and me and would not serve me. I showed him my identification which by law did not have to do. He said my identification was also fake. He asked me multiple questions which by law he isn’t allowed under ADA. To further calm down the situation I left and will not be coming back here. He caused a scene and was against ADA law by doing so. My dog caused no issues and is trained under service animal law.

We stopped by Marble Slab Creamery in Mount Pleasant for a sweet treat, and it turned out to be more than just great ice cream. The highlight of our visit was the staff, who went above and beyond to make our kids feel welcome and happy. Especially Ilona was warm, engaging, and incredibly kid-friendly—our children are still talking about her! She is a true asset to this place, and her kindness made our visit unforgettable. Thank you!
Mariam B — Google review
The ice cream is good, and their cheesecake ice cream is one of my personal favorites, but I won’t be returning after this evening. The older female employee was completely unprofessional and blatantly rude to my guests and other customers. She was combative when ordering and not helpful at all. Also, are gloves for employees not required? I would recommend checking out a few spots downtown for ice cream instead.

We visited Marble Slab Creamery in Mount Pleasant and had such a wonderful experience! The ice cream was delicious, and our kids absolutely loved it—but what truly made our visit special was the service. Ilona, the staff member who helped us, was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely kind to our kids. They said she was the best service person they've ever met! It's rare to find someone who is so naturally great with children. Thank you, Ilona, for making our visit so memorable. We'll definitely be back!

We both had lobster rolls which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lobster itself was perfectly buttery and sweet. The roll was the exact same, complimenting the lobster nicely while leaving it as the highlight. Getting fries instead of chips was only a minimal upcharge and very worth it - their saltiness was a nice way to balance out the lobster roll. We parked conveniently and freely at the Battery Thompson.

We’ve loved this restaurant for years — it’s been one of our favorite local spots, not just for the excellent food, but for the way it always felt connected to the community. The new ownership and Chef Jason Stanhope are clearly bringing talent and vision to the table — the food is still fantastic and we’re excited to see where things go. That said, we are really disappointed that the beloved Monday night half-priced burgers and half-off bottle wine have been discontinued. For so many locals, that tradition was more than just a deal — it was a weekly ritual that made us feel seen and appreciated as regulars. It gave the place Sullivans Island heart and accessibility, and kept it from drifting into the “downtown Charleston exclusivity” zone. We hope the new team will consider bringing back some version of the Monday night local special — it was a smart and generous way to keep your loyal local base coming back, and feeling like we still have a seat at the table. Please don’t lose that connection in the pursuit of reinvention. We’ll be back — but we hope to feel the love back, too.

The honey wheat bread is good, the cinnamon raisin is AMAZING. Sells out very quickly. I liked the pimento cheese too. I don’t like their kitchen and home goods, you can find them anywhere.

A very wide variety of home goods and specialty foods. There are premade sandwiches, chilled wine and champagne, and more. Staff were friendly. My uncle loves the Key Lime Pie from this place but they offer no delivery options, including Door Dash and Uber. I live in Maryland now, but my aunt and uncle are still in Mt.Pleasant and I wanted to send a get well pie to them. I emailed Kudzu and called to see if there was anyway to work out a delivery or even a local shipping and was met with crickets via email and a giggle and "um, no" from one of their staff. If anyone in the Mount Pleasant area wants a terrific Key Lime Pie delivered, Gold Belly offers excellent choices, including from Key West, for not much more than the Kudzu Pie and your loved ones will be so impressed.

Came in today around 1pm with friends, we were immediately greeted kindly and seated. Our server, Sylvie was so kind with us and attentive to all of our needs! Would love to have her again as she was polite and friendly, as well as this other man who’s name I didn’t catch but he was bald! They were both sweet. The food was genuinely a 10/10, well seasoned, fresh seafood, this is honestly the best restaurant Ive had on this whole strip by the beach. The shrimp & lobster mac n cheese was amazing and I will definitely be back for it, the burger was not overcooked and juicy and the tacos are a must try as well. We’re here on vacation so I definitely would stop back in before leaving :)

Stopped in for lunch today while visiting Isle of Palms after someone in our group recommended it from a previous visit. There’s a good amount of seating inside, plus some tables and a small bar area outside. The back patio even has a boardwalk that leads to the beach, and you can catch glimpses of the ocean from there — a nice touch. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly and took great care of us, even bringing an umbrella out to our table when we asked. We started with a couple of drinks, which were good, and shared some appetizers: the hush puppies with honey butter and the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. The hush puppies were delicious, and the honey butter added the perfect sweet touch. Unfortunately, we weren’t fans of the fried green tomatoes — they were cut a bit too thick and didn’t have much flavor, though the pimento cheese was tasty. For mains, the shrimp and lobster mac and cheese was a hit — rich, creamy, and loaded with lobster. The shrimp mango tacos were also a favorite, especially with the flavorful coleslaw. I went with the lobster roll and fries, and it was excellent. The lobster was chilled and topped with a light butter sauce, all in a soft, fresh roll. I’d absolutely order it again. Overall, we had a great experience here and would definitely come back next time we’re in town!

Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service. Tasty dishes with custom made drinks. Our server Eddie S. was on it to keep our drinks flowing and get our meals to us hot and the way we orderd. The outside area extends right out to the beach shore. Drinks and meals can be enjoyed in the outside area or at the out doors bar. Service in both areas keep the party going strong. Thanks to our server and the staff for ensuring we were having a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Although the food was decent unfortunately my experience here was not so "welcoming" (and I hate to be that guy) due to the color of my skin. Halfway through taken my order the lady walks away to talk to a coworker. While waiting for my food I noticed everyone else that order before me and after. There food was brought to them on a plate. When my order was ready it was in a To-go box and was told "hey your foods ready" my order was wrong but I sat there and ate it anyways because I didn't think they cared (wanted chicken got pork in my panini) it was VERY watery. Not with that being said the place was very clean lots of fun games to play if you bring your family. Unfortunately the service is what bothered me

I left after listening to two employees talking trash about a regular customer. Jeff, the regular, consistently makes inappropriate comments to a young female employee. She is (understandably) uncomfortable around Jeff. Mark, a white male employee, thinks he knows best for her to handle Jeff being inappropriate. The young girl should confront Jeff. There was never a mention of Mark himself speaking to Jeff and letting him know his behavior is inappropriate. Basically, the young female employee should stand up for herself. I just wanted a relaxing break from work, not a gossip fest.

Got a small Hawaiian and a beer, $23. Went at 8pm on a Sunday, I was the only customer inside the dining room. Pizza was only 10” which I was not expecting it to be that small. Crust was dry and almost burnt. Onions were raw. Atmosphere was a cool vibe. Server had zero personality, could care less that I was there. It was very meh. Went here on Labor Day weekend for a quick take out dinner. This was the most disappointing place I have been to in a long time. We waited an hour for a few hot/cold Italian subs. When we got home, we had the most disappointing sandwich you could ask for. None of the “hot” were even mildly toasted. Kitchen was noticeably in disarray. Have better from a gas station. But the wait staff was friendly

We came across this place while walking back to our car. Located right across the street of the beach access. Price are comparable with other touristic area restaurant. We order cheese pizza and an Italian sandwich. The crust of the thing pizza was perfect and the house dressing on the Italian sandwich was outstanding.

I love this place. Pizza is good, Italian sub us good and the meatball sub was delicious. Lauren was our server and she served! She's a great human and loved how she interacted with my child. Thanks Lauren for your customer service and just being kind.

Located on the Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes Resort offers access to a golf course, tennis courts, and spa. It is also toddler-friendly and provides light and bright accommodations.
Just wanted to take a quick moment to give a huge thank you to Wild Dunes Resort at Sweetgrass Pavilion for giving my wife and me a fantastic getaway. Everything about our time there was absolutely perfect and we could not be more grateful. I especially want to recognize Mason, Molly, and Virginia at the front who truly went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were more than satisfied with every part of our stay. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. As always, Isle of Palms and Sweetgrass remain one of the best kept secrets around. I honestly wish more people knew about this amazing place. The hospitality, the warm welcome, and the overall experience were simply top notch. Great job as always and thank you again for everything. We are already looking forward to coming back

I stayed in Building A, Suite 205/207 at The Residences and it was fantastic. The suites were just fully renovated and everything feels brand new, modern, and very high-end. The bedrooms are super comfortable, the bathrooms feel like a spa with walk-in showers, and the living areas are stylish yet inviting. All the little touches—luxury finishes, upgraded appliances, and thoughtful design—make the space feel more like a luxury condo than a hotel room. On top of that, the location is perfect. It’s just a short walk to great restaurants, shops, the beach, and the pool, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Suite 205/207 combines comfort, convenience, and upscale design in a way that made my trip truly memorable.

My hubby took me to Wild Dines for my birthday this year in May! We had a great time! All of the restaurants are delicious and they have great drinks to accompany. I just wish there were a little more activities to do for adults entertainment besides riding bikes and eating. Access to the beach is awesome and there are plenty of pools for the family. I like adult only areas, but this was good for a get away for a couple of days. Check the weather before you go!

Our family recently stayed at the Wild Dunes Sweetgrass Inn on Isle of Palms, and we couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely fantastic—welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. It's clear they are at the top of their game, making us feel right at home. The amenities were truly outstanding. We absolutely loved spending time at the pools; they were sparkling clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect place to relax and have fun. It was a huge hit with both the kids and the adults in our group. The entire property was immaculate and well-cared for, which really added to our sense of comfort and enjoyment. Wild Dunes Sweetgrass Inn is the perfect destination for a family vacation. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next trip back. We highly recommend it!

Very nice place. All in all a great place to get away. Great pools and activities. Rooms were clean and food was good. Food and drinks seemed to be a bit overpriced and there are ALOT of fees every night.
Laura F — Google review
Location is amazing. Other than that the rooms are really just decent at best, the hotel is dirty. Lifts look like they are made for a 2* hotel. The pool is… let’s say “kid friendly” And then everything is overpriced. If you’re going to ask for $300+ q night then at least make it nice. And when you already think it’s expensive, they add resort fees. I’m sorry this hotel is the lamest expensive place I’ve stayed at
Nathan B — Google review
Mixed feelings about this place. I really don't consider it a "resort" . Rooms are nice, pool area pretty small, drinks way over priced. Not many food options on the property and closes early. Had a massage in the spa. The spa itself is very very nice, however I'm not sure if it's hard to find good experienced workers in the spa. I received a massage and it was a total disappointment. And the girl seemed like she would rather be anywhere but there. I still tipped 20% because I work in the service industry but it was not worth it at all. Won't be returning to this resort. On a side note, Ubers are sparse on the island which made it difficult to go out to eat or into Charleston. I will say all the employees were pleasant, I was just left feeling less than impressed.
HBC S — Google review
While we usually absolutely love this resort, the latest trip here was a nightmare. The house we stayed in (30 grand pavilion) had a myriad of issues. 1. mold in every shower, and not just a little bit. It was everywhere - all over the curtains and the tubs. 2. NONE of the TVs worked and when they came to look at them, they said "too old, won't work". 3. in a bathroom, the fan was falling out of the ceiling with mold all around it. We were worried it was going to fall on one of the tiny children staying in the house so we couldn't even use the bathroom. 4. the AC never actually cooled down the house. 5. they charge $25 per "missing" towels but don't empty the return receptacles so towels are just strewn about. We had a missing towel but took pictures every time we returned them to show that the receptacles were over flowing. We heard about other families who also had charges when they did not take a towel. IT'S A SCAM! For the price of this resort - find an airbnb, it will be much more enjoyable.

Home Team BBQ is a popular spot with a coastal vibe and fantastic barbecue. It's the perfect place to savor smoked meats like ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage along with savory sides and cold beer. Locals also rave about their delicious drinks, especially the Game Changer cocktail. The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere where you can enjoy Fiery Ron's smoked chicken wings, pulled pork sandwiches, and tacos for an authentic local experience.
Bella was an amazing server. She offered great recommendations and was very fun! Food was awesome! Best restaurant we've been to so far! Drinks were strong. Prices were very reasonable and atmosphere was great.

7/14/2025 stopped here for dinner. I ordered the half rack of ribs, collard greens, cheese dip, mac n cheese, and banana pudding for dessert. We sat outside because it was so nice out. The food was great, the ribs weren't my favorite but still good. The sides were phenomenal! The banana pudding was delicious too! I would recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner!!

Home Team BBQ – Sullivan’s Island This place is the perfect beach spot! It’s just a short walk from the sand, which makes it ideal for grabbing food or drinks right after the beach. The vibe is casual, fun, and super welcoming. You have to try their frozen Game Changer — it’s insanely refreshing and totally lives up to the name. It’s the first thing I order every time I go, especially after a hot day outside. The food here is consistently amazing. My favorites are the fried ribs (crispy and packed with flavor) and the pulled pork — it’s always juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Whether I’m stopping in with friends or bringing out-of-town guests, it’s a winner every time. Home Team never misses. Great food, great drinks, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommend!

Holy cow! This was so delicious! I had the three meat plate with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. So delicious! I really appreciate the dry rub and that you can put your own sauce on. Everything was juicy and tender. My sides were potato salad and cole slaw and they were perfect as well. Both were wonderfully seasoned for me. Parking stinks, so be prepared to walk a little bit. And I'm not a fan of the red table lights as they make everything look bland. I had leftovers and the next day it was amazing again!! I would highly recommend this place.

I stopped here for lunch yesterday after visiting Fort Moultrie. Easily the best pork BBQ sandwich I've had since moving to SC. Nice presentation, too, and great service. I'll definitely be back.

Just a South Carolina utter classic! If you’re in the area you must stop by here, this is a “when in Rome” kinda spot! Everyone is jovial and kind the food is excellent and drinks move fast! Come for game day with the Georgia bulldogs and experience a great Saturday! Go dawgs!
StewartGerard — Google review
We tried the barbecue at this spot on Sullivan’s Island and really liked it overall. The sandwich came on a sweet brioche bun that paired really well with the smoky barbecue — definitely more of a smoked meat than the usual crockpot pulled pork style. The portion was solid too, enough meat that you could scoop some off and still have a full sandwich. Carryout didn’t take long at all — under 10 minutes, which was great. Price-wise, $17 for just the sandwich (no sides) felt a bit steep, especially with tater tots being an extra charge. That said, everything we ordered tasted great, and the barbecue sauce had a nice balance of flavor. The inside had more of a bar vibe than a typical barbecue joint, and it was a little surprising BBQ spots have. But overall, tasty food and fast service — worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Jonathan J — Google review
Hands down, this is the best place to eat around Charelston. Order the meat board and enjoy! Also, the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Being raised in the best food area, south eastern Louisiana, it's hard to find really good food away from here, but this place has it figured out! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and decently priced.

Banana Cabana is a laid-back beachfront bar and restaurant that offers a wide range of delectable dishes, including seafood, burgers, and creative pizzas. The establishment prides itself on providing excellent service and a diverse menu for both lunch and dinner. Customers have praised the quick seating process and exceptional service, particularly noting the friendly staff's attentiveness to even the youngest guests.
Our waitress, Heather, made the experience great! She was very knowledgeable about the menu, very patient, and treated us like family. The food came out hot and fresh. A great appetizer would be the calamari! The breading had a great array of flavors. It's a great place to go if you are in the area.

Great food and service! Our waitress had a huge group outside and still gave us great service inside. She interacted with our 4 year old and us and made sure our drinks were never empty. Food was fantastic. I could eat the shrimp and crab pizza everyday.

I love this location, especially when you sit outside because you have an oceanfront view of the water to enjoy as you are eating. And the "catch of the day" is always my favorite of their dishes. It changes daily based on what was freshly caught and i must say that the Tuna Steak is amazing. I only give it 4/5 due to that my table was dirty in the outside seating when i went. but it wasn't disgusting, just not well cleaned.
Nathaniel D — Google review
We liked it. I ordered the Macho Nachos with chicken. The portion was large and I liked it, but had to take some home for lunch the next day. My kids liked the chicken strips and fries. We ate outside in the cool of the evening. With the breeze and view of the beach, it was perfect. Good thing we ate outside, because my 8-year-old daughter spilled her water twice.
Robert C — Google review
We ate there sunday night. I gave them a five star rating because it was literally the best seafood we have ever eaten. My whole family loved their meal. More than likely we will return before we leave the island for another meal. Only complaint we had was the service, it was a bit lacking, but when you have such good food and lots of customers, this can be expected.
Matt C — Google review
I cannot say enough about this establishment. They were able to seat our party quickly and the service absolutely incredible. Our party of 7 was added by one of my twin 19mo. Nieces' at the last minute. (mom was at the condo we were renting for the week with the other fussy baby) we were worried that our service was going to get a little frustrated as my niece was getting a little frustrated. Madelyn was our server and she greeted us with a smile and an even bigger smile for my niece. After ordering she offered crackers to keep her entertained until the food got out. She also offered fruit slices and other substitutes for my nieces meal; as they didn't really have any other sides besides fries. After ordering our food, Madelyn then brought out a coloring book and crayons to keep her entertained even more. She let us know that she bought them for children that come into the restaurant. The food came out quickly and hot for all of us in the party. Madelyn stayed around for a couple of second to play with my niece and make sure our food was to our liking. Prices were fair and portion size was large. Overall, I would personally recommend this establishment for anyone wanting a fun atmosphere and good food.
Brandon H — Google review
Amazing place! They do have the best nachos and one would be foolish not to order them next time you come here. I live right next door so I order carry out often and they always have it ready in 20 minutes or less which is insane. Crab wings are another favorite that's sure to please anyone. Even their salads are amazing can't rave About the food enough. The waitresses are ALL beautiful, the bartender is always awesome (where you pick up carryout). Nestled just 15 miles from the vibrant heart of downtown Charleston, Wild Dunes Resort graces the stunning Isle of Palms. This beachfront paradise offers a variety of accommodations to suit every traveler’s needs, whether you prefer a cozy hotel room, a spacious condo, or a charming vacation rental home. With an abundance of dining options and activities at your fingertips—think tennis, pickleball, shopping, and refreshing swims in both pools and the ocean—there's never a dull moment here.
My wife and I spent a wonderful day at Wild Dunes Resort this December (2024), and it was truly magical. We started our day by sampling delicious fare at Coastal Provisions and Coastal Crust, two fantastic dining spots within the resort. Since it’s the off-season, we found the atmosphere peaceful and relaxing—there wasn’t the usual hustle and bustle of summer, so we could fully unwind and take in the quiet coastal beauty. One of the highlights of our trip was strolling along the beach and then catching the sunset by the Boardwalk Burger Bar area, where the two pools are located. The view was breathtaking, with the colors reflecting on the water and the shoreline. Throughout the resort, everything was decked out for the holidays—Christmas trees, lights, and lots of cozy fires scattered around the grounds. In the village area, we noticed a mix of smaller, real-wood fires and large (8-foot diameter) gas fires, each surrounded by inviting rocking chairs. It was also fun to see that they had Santa events for children, as well as Christmas carol singing, which gave the whole resort a festive vibe. As someone who’s been visiting Wild Dunes for 23 years, it still feels fresh and memorable every time I return. Whether you’re a family, a couple, or grandparents looking for a relaxing getaway, I highly recommend coming here—especially during the holidays when the beach takes on a whole new flavor. You get the best of both worlds: a tranquil off-season escape, plus all the warmth and excitement of the Christmas season. I even got to catch up with some old friends who work at Woodies, Security, and Seagrass, which added a personal touch to the day. Thank you to the entire Wild Dunes team for another memorable visit. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Longtime Guest Disappointed by New Management at Wild Dunes I’ve been vacationing at Wild Dunes for over 15 years, and until recently, it was always a highlight of my year. However, I was surprised to learn that Wild Dunes has outsourced the management of their vacation rentals to a third-party company—a change that should be clearly disclosed on their website. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that the level of customer service had changed. We stayed in Unit 23 Back Court, which had a locked thermostat that prevented us from adjusting the temperature for our comfort. For a paid rental, that’s unacceptable. When we contacted the management company, they were polite but unhelpful, saying they couldn’t do anything about it. In the past, when Wild Dunes managed the rentals directly, they would go out of their way to resolve issues or offer compensation. That kind of care and responsiveness is what kept us coming back year after year. Going forward, I will only stay in properties directly managed by Wild Dunes. The difference in service is too significant to ignore.
Lili — Google review
We had paid to have our daughter wedding in front of the boardwalk inn. We were told we would be set up on the north side of the beach. Less people & noise from the pool area. We get there and we were literally set up right in front of trash cans and directly in front of the pool where live music was being played. We paid a lot of money to have the wedding here & Wild dunes did not deliver on what I was told in the beginning.
April B — Google review
I booked Wild Dunes Resort through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts expecting a polished, premium stay. What I got instead fell well short of that standard. The resort is inconsistent—some areas are pleasant, but others feel neglected. The main pool area is attractive and has a jacuzzi, but during the day it’s overrun with children, making it impossible to enjoy any peace. The only “adults-only” option was a dirty pool with no jacuzzi, leaving no true luxury space to relax. I was especially glad I didn’t stay on the Boardwalk side—it looked dated, worn, and far less appealing than other parts of the property, and I would have been very disappointed if that had been my view of the resort. The real failure, however, was in the handling of my Amex perks. None of my included benefits were applied at check-in or during my stay. When I reviewed my bill, I discovered I was being charged more than double the correct amount in resort fees and other charges. Had I not caught the error, I would have unknowingly overpaid by hundreds of dollars. It makes you wonder if they just assume most people won’t notice—so they profit more at the guest’s expense. I had to speak with multiple people to get it fixed—while the staff were pleasant, I received no restitution for the error or the inconvenience. For a property partnered with Amex, this is unacceptable. TLDR: If you’re booking here expecting a luxury, hassle-free experience—especially as an Amex FHR guest—you should be prepared for overcrowded amenities, inconsistent quality, and billing mistakes you’ll have to catch yourself.
Haley H — Google review
The beach and locale are gorgeous, but unfortunately the resort was acquired by a large hotel company that has ruined the place. Restaurants have limited hours and are understaffed, we had water leaking from the ceiling onto our table and just got a shrug from the staff, and there are only two places to eat if you don’t want bar food. The new owner also built a huge hotel in the middle of the resort, which has led to overcrowding and caused the rest of the resort to start installing gates at pools and bars that you can only access via coded bracelets that you are required to wear, as if you are at Disneyland.
Tim M — Google review
Valet is absolute nightmare. Poor management, organization, it takes forever to get the car in or out. Kids drivers don’t have anyone guiding them to be efficient and able to handle the traffic. Staff at check in was amazing and that’s the only reason I didn’t give 1 star.

Island Joe's Ice Cream & Espresso is a Caribbean-themed beach bar and grill located on the Isle of Palms. It offers a family-friendly dining experience with a covered deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and live music on the roof for all to enjoy. Visitors have praised the incredibly nice staff, especially for their patience and understanding towards customers with special needs. The ice cream is particularly popular among kids, making it a go-to spot for families visiting the area.
I visited Island Joe's on June 26th, and I was with someone with Downs Syndrome. The staff was so incredibly nice. They didn't mind that it took us a little longer than normal to order, they stood patiently as my friend did the math of adding a tip on her receipt, they did not make us pay again when we realized we made a mistake (our fault) in how we ordered the first one, and they let us sit in the shade taking up a table for hours. To those employees that helped us: thank you so much. You were just acting with basic human decency, but it meant so much to me and made my day and job 100 times better.

We were the only ones there and it still took a long time to get our ICE CREAM and it was half way melted when we finally did!..wasn't even a hot day!.. i asked for another icecream cone for my daughter since it was dripping down her hand 20 seconds after she got it and i could here one worker saying "you've got to be kidding me!".. well, 21 dollars for 4 scoops of ice cream I expect it to not be a melted mess when i get it! The ice cream itself tasted good or I would have given this place 1 star.

Food always tastes old and awful. The employees, which are all teenagers, are always rude and disrespectful. Get my order wrong every time me and my family goes there. Don't even get me started on how long it takes. You will sit there and wait 30 minutes just for 1 burger. Last, but certainly not least, their prices are insane! I don't see how they're still in business. The whole place is absolutely ridiculous.

**Edit** The Owner of this franchise is an owner who cares about his business and his customers. After my lackluster experience, he reached out to me and we had a great interaction. Definitely won't last long charging $10 for a half a cup of ice cream. You have to do better if you're an owner of a business. Seriously.

Excellent ice cream and very friendly staff. Very nice outdoor seating

You can’t go wrong with Ben and Jerry’s. Nice seating outside with lights and many flavors to try!

You guys really need to keep your hours updated on Google…. I drove out to your location after checking your Google business profile to see if you were open and it stated that you closed at 11PM last night. (**As of today, the Fri-Sun Google Business hours have been updated to 9PM. So I can see that this update occurred shortly after this issue). I got to shop at 10:15PM and went up to the door with the lights on and 3 or so staff members inside. When I got to the front, the door was locked and everyone was beginning clean up and I was given the nod that you were closed. There was even a table of individuals sitting outside who were recently served. This was on a Labor Day holiday weekend. There is no reason that a franchise the size of Ben and Jerry’s doesn’t have the capability of keeping their Google Business profile updated in 2025. I’m sure this lack of managing the online store hours has led to many unnecessary trips for the local residents of Mt. Pleasant. I’d understand shutting down and cleaning up the night 20 or so minutes before the listed close time, but 45 minutes. This is an easy fix and something that should be managed by the shop manager daily, if times are changing on the fly. 😪

Scarlett, Trinity, and Olivia deserve ALL the sprinkles! 🍦✨ They were beyond patient, so friendly, and made me feel instantly welcome. Their kindness and energy turned my quick ice cream run into the highlight of my day. Ben & Jerry’s is incredibly lucky to have such sweet rockstars behind the counter! 💖

This family-owned Ben & Jerry’s is EASILY our favorite local spot! The staff is always amazing, and we even had the chance to meet the owners and their family—truly so kind and accommodating. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

⭐️⭐️ (2 stars) I recently visited the Ben & Jerry's location and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The staff were dressed in street clothes, and one employee wore extremely short shorts that were not appropriate for a food service environment. Additionally, I noticed hair falling into their faces, which raised concerns about hygiene. This experience left me wondering about the standards being upheld at this location. I hope this feedback helps improve the situation for future customers.

Ice cream was decent but prices were outrageous. Not a good place to go unless you’re ready to spend $27.15 for two kids cones and a large cup. Pretty crazy.

Bushido Asian Restaurant & Bar is a contemporary spot located in a shopping center, offering inventive sushi and a variety of Japanese and Chinese dishes. Visitors can expect courteous service from the friendly wait staff as they savor top-notch food quality, including options like seaweed salad and chef's choice nigri entree.
Great location within a wonderful shopping center. The wait staff is courteous and kind. The house hot sake is a mid shelf and not the cheap stuff. I ordered a seaweed salad and chef's choice nigri entree. The quality of the food is top notch and I will be adding this to my favorites.

Do not place a mobile order here and expect to recieve a refund if they do not have the items to make it. I placed a mobile order on 04/02/2024.The order was marked as ready and I went to pick it up. Upon arriving, I was told that they were out of lettuce and spinach for the Tuna Salad and therefore they could not make it. I said "Fine" and they started making the rest of the order. After about 15 minutes, the employee at the counter (the same one who informed me of the lettuce situation) told me my order was ready and offered me a free cookie for the wait. I said, "No thanks, I just need a refund for the Tuna Salad". The employee told me "Alright." and then proceeded to touch the screen a couple of times before stating "I've never actually done this before, I'm going to have to call my manager.". Again, I was like "okay." At this point, he started pacing behind the counter while appearing to be on the phone with the "manager". He then said that "Since you place it on the app, you are going to have to get a refund through the app." However, because I I have received a refund for an unmade mobile order before, I knew this was untrue. I stated such and then he went back and forth with his "manager" saying "I don't think he wants anything else, he just wants his money". He then hung up, supposedly, and said that his managers orginal offer was "You can come back tomorrow and we will make you the salad" but that he talkied him into a refund and that they just needed to call "Tim". They never appeared back from "Tim" and after about 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave without my refund. I told them I was going to leave and they seemed relieved and I got a "Sorry man". I double-checked the owner's name was "Tim" and the employee confirmed. It's not so much the $8.99 for the Tuna Salad, but the backwards response to my refund request and that they essentially outright refused the refund. I'm not sure if the employee even called a manager or if there was ever any intention of giving me my money back. A mobile order that claimed to be ready at 8 pm turned into a 45 ordeal with no resolution and my money basically stolen. I know it's a bit dramatic, but it definitely bothered me enough to write this review.

Only SUBWAY on the island. So...you aren't getting the best of sandwiches or service. That being said, they do have good 🥖bread, meat, veggies, cookies, and chips. Tread carefully and keep your head down. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking, entrances, and 🚻 restrooms.

I went in yesterday (Saturday) and today also, both times for a late lunch. They have some decent vegan and vegetarian choices. This is a VERY clean, well stocked store, especially considering the busy weekend. The store looks newish inside, so I inquired how old the store was, and the guy said the current owners had it for 7 years now. It looks a whole lot newer or looks recently updated. The gentleman behind the counter was very kind and polite and he helped me choose something good both days. I saw in other reviews comments about the English speaking ability of the staff, I had no problem understanding this guy! In particular, the spinach, purple onion and black olives tasted fresh, and that's a pet peeve of mine when they are mushy or stale. Everything was prepared correctly and tasted great! It's just off the IOP Connector across from the Harris Teeter, an easy walk from the Turtle Sculpture. I will visit them again next time I'm hanging out on the Island!

Outstanding service! I ordered a 6foot long sub to feed my work crew and they did such a good job with all of my modifications!! Everyone loved it!! ALL 25 of them!! Thank you so much. I came in the middle of lunch rush on the first sunny Saturday of the year, and despite how busy they were, they got me out of there with no hiccups. We will definitely have you cater our lunch again. Cheers!

Efficient polite service, great sandwiches! We stopped on our way to the beach to pick up a couple of sandwiches and drinks for lunch. The place seemed spotlessly clean, and the family there were all very polite and efficient. I've had many bad sandwiches at Subways in the past, but what we had today were very good and fresh. In the future, we'll make a point of using this particular Subway as our standard lunch place whenever we head to the beach.

I'm all for foreigners getting a job, that's awesome, but the people in here don't speak English well at all. They were all pretty nice to me at least but it took longer to order because I had to explain what I wanted and they still got it wrong. If it wasn't for a younger guy my order would've taken even longer. There's no excuse for you to not understand English and be in customer service. Whoever hired them needs a sit down.

They're the freshest subway around. Been going there for years off and on. Nice family runs the place.

Oyster bar restaurant
Binky's Seaside Oyster & Liquor Bar is a fantastic beachfront spot with a stunning ocean view. The menu offers delicious oysters and unique items like deviled eggs and tuna nachos, making it stand out from other beach bars. The staff, including servers and bartenders, are friendly and efficient. It's a hidden gem where you can enjoy great food, refreshing drinks, and an amazing atmosphere.
Cool and funky beachfront bar. We came off the beach in swimsuits to enjoy the new “wave maker” with fresh yellowfin tuna nachos YUM!

Absolutely love this hidden gem! The food is always delicious and the spaghetti sandwich was amazing. The staff are always fun and make the spot a great hang out & bartenders make a solid drink. Not to mention the view is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a frequent go to especially with the outside patio.

Always happy with the service! Our secret hideaway when guests come into town. Right on the beach with an upscale atmosphere.

Not recommending! We spent nearly $100 for dinner. There are items on the drink menu that are no longer available. Might be nice to update the menu. The NC oysters were very small and we couldn’t get the little oyster forks because they were all dirty. I ordered a pomegranate vodka drink only to find out they were out of pomegranate vodka. The potato chips and dip are tasteless. Although obviously not their fault, a seagull pooped on my husband and there were flies all over the place. When I went inside to use the restroom, I overheard two customers saying there weren’t any menus. The location is amazing, but they need to focus on making their restaurant more appealing with better food, accurate menus and trained, attentive staff.
CM W — Google review
My husband and I came here hoping for a quick and easy dinner as we were staying on the Island. While what we had was great you can’t really botch raw shrimp and oysters. We canceled our pretzel/dip not because it was taking a while to prep but because the place filled up fast and with patrons who clearly did not care about social distancing or masks. This included the wait staff, none of which had masks on. I give it two stars because our waitress was very kind and the food was good, but we were ultimately uncomfortable with the lack of caution. I respect anyone’s right to believe what they want, but please respect others in return and at least include some sort of disclaimer on your website or out front of the establishment so I know not to put myself at risk.
Aimee S — Google review
Deck outside is nice, but the menu is very limited for both food and drinks. A small menu isn't a bad thing, but this one just didn't deliver. When I was there, only two staff members were wearing their masks and my waitress accidentally spit in my eye. The odd and limited drink options were enough to make this place unremarkable, but the experience sealed the deal in our decision to dine elsewhere in the future.

Nice bar on Isle of Palms beach. We only had drinks, no food, so we can't testify about the food. But the outside bar has a great view of the ocean. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. 6 drinks were $53 so it was a little pricey. I recommend this establishment.

My wife and I came to Isle of Palms to celebrate our 26th year of marriage. During our 3 day stay here we did some fun things, but we were never so comfortable and at home as we were with Kevin, the manager and Brie, the bar queen of Binky's. The food was good, the atmosphere was fun, the place was full of people having a nice time. Kevin and Brie presided over the party. Thank you to Kevin and Brie for making our 26th special. Thank you
