Spinach Pies, Meat Pies and Cabbage Pies are amazing. Best Hummus. And chips outside of the Gulf Region. Staff is super cool and friendly ! We drive over 2 hours from CT to stock up. It is so very worth the drive. Thank you so very much. Never change
Sam’s Bakery never disappoints! Whenever I go through Fall River, Sam’s is on my Yum Food list of places to go. CASH ONLY so stop at an ATM before going there.
I don't know what happened to the recipe but the spice is a little bit too much to tolerate I don't know why it's changed so much I've had Sam's bakery my entire life .it was too much Savory Spice couldn't even taste meat product that was inside it was way too seasoned .I usually finish them all and I still have two of them sitting in the fridge .
If you want traditional Lebanese and Syrian treats this is the place.
Some people working there are very frustrated and rude especially one lady at the cashier. I understand that some customers can be annoying sometimes but she really just seems to be extremely impatient and has frustration issues, not to judge, a lot of people are maybe going through something, but it's not our job to deal with people's emotional dysregulation. Not all the employees are like that though.
Otherwise, the place is awesome hence my 5 star review. Prices are very fair especially for a Lebanese owned place lol (I'm lebanese myself) please keep it this way. Delicious and would come back. Good stuff.
This place serves outstanding food at incredible value - it is worth the trip. The spinach pie was my favorite, the lemony filling and soft, chewy bread were perfect. We tried a large assortment of items (meat pie with cheese, open-faced spinach with cheese, cabbage bread, sesame bread, chourico pie, and spinach pie), and every one was delicious. I look forward to coming back.
Absolutely delicious fresh food, made right in front of you. You have to try it out! The people working there are fantastic, it's very hard to find a place this good anymore. Very affordable

This family-owned gem has been serving the community for over 45 years, specializing in both Italian and American sandwiches as well as an array of mouthwatering desserts. Their menu is a feast for the senses, featuring everything from hearty pasta plates to fresh salads that cater to every palate.
Old School Grinder Shop. They were helpful with ordering. I had ground chorizo with peppers, onions and provolone toasted. It was fresh, hot and delicious! My only regret is not ordering two! It was that delicious! Don't just take my word for it. Try it!!!

Our family’s cherished Christmas Eve tradition of receiving grinders has been shattered with poor service. To make matters even more frustrating, I received a completely burnt sandwich that was no longer edible. I’m not sure if it was what I ordered or if it was just plain wrong; it was too burnt to tell. To add insult to injury, I had a house full of company and opened the package to this culinary catastrophe. The order was placed well in advance. Next year, Marzilli's.

One of my Favorite places to get a Sandwich!! This place is WAY BETTER Than Subway!! I'm a little Biased, but also because they have 2 foot (give or take a few inches) Sandwiches here!! Caçiola, Bologna, Italian ect.

Hated the food. I ordered a salad with Tuna. I told then 4-5x no cucumbers. I also asked for Pizza cheese. I got a tiny salad with tons of cucumbers and a tiny container of tuna ans a tiny container of cheese in little cubes. I dont know what the hell they thought this was but it wasn't what I asked for. It went into the trash. What a waste of mobey.nim not rich by any means bad I don't throw out food but it was so wrong. Never mind the sub I got for my BF. Market Basket is the place I should have gone to. Way better and cheaper. Don't recommend this place at all.
Got it road food: 2 large Italians 1 med turkey / cheese and a dozen pizzas. Been going here for decades and when w come up from Virginia, it's a staple for us.
Love the people love the service there always super friendly polite and friendly super cool place! I ordered an Italian sub I am very particular about my Italian sub I prefer Boston of new York for those! But their bread is absolutely amazing! The here veggies are always fresh crisp and delicious there like pizza square are super tasty too. Going for a steak n cheese next definitely going back!

I order the Pearce sandwich every time I visit. It’s absolutely delicious! I’ve also tried several of their pastries, but the best is the strawberry and cream turnover. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!
Went for the first time yesterday after hearing very good things. The food was excellent.
I was in a rush but the staff had just gotten slammed with orders just before I got there. A fact I was in unaware of. About 20 minutes had passed when i told them I had to go. I had an appointment I couldn’t be late for. They worked really hard and got my order and even gave me cookies for waiting which was way more than they had to do. They were very pleasant and professional .
The price I paid did include a drink and dessert. Prices were within normal expectation. I always tip and in this case they earned it.
Sandwhich was amazing ! Chowder great . Sadly the Cesar wrap was super dry barley amy dressing and they forgot to put the croutons..I would say just check everything before u leave ..but overall great
Loved it here and will definitely return! I had an Italian turnover, which was perfectly tastey and a warm hot chocolate that wasn't too sweet, too chocolatey, nor too watery. It was perfect! We decided to sit in. It's so cozy and quaint. The holiday decorations were beautiful. The staff was welcoming. Best little nuk I have discovered in town yet!

Love this place! Great tasty sandwiches, no fatty chunks, delicious fresh bread and love the cappuccino! The desserts are yummy especially the milk custard desserts that don't leave that werid film on the roof of your mouth. This is the ONLY place that I could find that don't do that. The workers are kind and so friendly and a great atmosphere to eat there as well! If I lived in fall river I'd be going there every week.

Absolutely amazing service and coffee. I got the Louvre, as suggested by the person taking my order, and it is fantastic. The gentleman taking my order was very friendly and I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!
What a great place! Delicious coffee and pastries and affogato espresso and gelato was heavenly not to mention they serve their cappuccino in an actual cup! Will be coming back here regularly and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Truly a unique experience. Once I go in I feel like I'm in Portugal. The staff is all so kind. So many regular customers there. Last time I went, I saw a waitress help in elderly customer to the restroom and made sure she was safe in there.

The food is healthier than most places with a great variety of Pastries, not overly sweet . And they have a variety of sandwiches, codfish , Portuguese soup, in the winter and many kinds of coffee,or fruit drinks.
My friend and I go every chance we get. Especially in the summer where you can dine in or outside.. we always stay for hrs. Everyone is respectful and the coffee is the best, not watered down like most places. I highly recommend Europe over any place in this city

Place is run horribly. Had to wait over 20 minutes because the manager kept telling staff she needed cheesy tots and for some reason they weren’t putting them in. Im a manager in fast food, you need to follow up “did that item go in”, no I was waiting for over 20 minutes. While she just stood with her back to a lobby full of upset customers all talking about how long it was waiting. Took the other girl forever to even greet customers, where I work we greet them in 10 seconds or less. Food was good and hot, service very very disappointing
Not very competent, but kind. Place was clean and food was just okay. A lot was wrong and had to be remade but at least they were nice about it.
It's really a flip of the coin, depending on who is working and what time. Sometimes its great and I have no complaints, but other times the food tastes like it was microwaved too long and they are reusing old food. It can be gross. I wish I could give this store a higher rating, but even a 2 for 5 meal should be made with 100 percent. Food is not rocket science so when its that bad, there is no excuse.

I went on a Monday night and there was an extremely rude encounter with the woman who was taking my order. I had just pulled in and was not ready to order yet, and told her a such. Not even letting 2 minutes go by, she asks in a snarky tone if I am ready to order yet. I say no, but soon after I order. I go in to ask what the options for nugget quantity is, she goes on to tell me, but under her breath I can hear her clearly say with an attitude “it says right on the screen” me, appalled by the audacity, I say “thank you” and leave. Customer service was horrible.
If you want your order screwed up, please go here. I went through the drive thru and ordered 2 cheeseburger kids meals with ketchup only. I was told to hold on because I was going to fast. My 4 year old grandson could understand 2 kids meals. Then I ordered 1 sprite and 1 cup of water. I get to the window and the young kid hands me 2 bags and tells me my order is all set. I asked about my drinks and she then asks what were the drinks. Once again I told her a small sprite and a cup of water. She goes and makes it and comes back with a sprite and a coke. Once she figures out what water is she comes back. The cheeseburgers that were only ketchup had everything on them. The grandkids were lucky they were not allergic to the pickles. She then had them make 2 new cheeseburgers with just ketchup. The worse part is the manger was standing right there and didn't say one word! 20 plus minutes in the drive thru is ridiculous for screwed up kids meals. Upper management needs to have a talk with the crew!!!
This place is disgusting!! My special needs patient went in last night . To go buy a cheeseburger and ask to use the bathroom, the bathroom was disgusting there was poop all over the seats.. he asked to have stuff to clean it and they told him he didn't have to use the bathroom there. Needless to say, he did not buy any food there. The way they treat their customers I would not buy two fries out of that place.. besides being dirty, and the employees do not want to clean it.. shame on that!!

I didn’t want to add this review because I moved to Fall River and been coming here for quite sometime. I came in and for some pastries and showed this pic to the shop owner that they were burnt. Completely un edible. Bought them for an event and the woman sent me this pic. Embarrassing…I did not ask for a discount or nothing on the near 12 that I bought… but the fact that they didn’t care at all. (The woman literally shrug her shoulders) did not sit right with me. This isn’t the first time either, so be careful when you don’t see them put the items in the box. Only the younger girls greet anyone with respect. The older ones show that they only value business. Sucky feeling when you’ve been giving your business and kindness for a while now.
Good Portuguese rolls. Nice girl at register but she didn’t speak English but it was ok.
The only thing that was edible was the bolos levados. It’s soft and sweet and delicious with a cup of coffee. The sweet rice is undercooked, leaving the rice crunchy vs soft. The qeijadas seemed old or over-done. Not the texture I was expecting or experienced with other bakeries. They also sell other random Portuguese items like oil, butter, milk, jams, bottled juices, and wine. There isn’t any seating inside; it’s takeout only. Street parking only.
Please relax with the salt the Portuguese fresh cheese had too much salt less salt the better someone can enjoy it more! Also the Papo secos have too much salt not too enjoyable less salt please!
Their bread is very delicious. It is very flaky on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside.

As far delivering into here from a outside carrier I don't have any complaints, slow but extremely busy getting trailers loaded for out deliveries I came early and rolled the dice and it didn't work out but I planned for that as well. Appointment time only. Gotta give the people in charge of gold metal bakeries equipment such as the trucks and trailers a big thumbs up 👍👍. Trucks and trailers all looked in amazing shape, your driver's pre tripping and post tripping, I did see a trailer with a break light out being staged next to me but definitely impressed. I'm sure overall your csa rating is top notch I'll check that later😁. People all nice. Keep up the good work in safety

I love this Market. The owner is very nice & friendly. The rice pudding & chourico rolls are delicious! I'm lucky to live close by. It has the staples I need for my kitchen without having to go to a big market.
Very nice little store. Friendly people working there. Fresh homemade sandwiches if you get there early enough in the morning...otherwise they sell out very quickly. Nice variety too. Its small but has a fair amount of things in it.. I even found fresh potatoes and carrots there when i needed them.. So the conveince of being closer then the larger stores outweighs the cost.
I change my review. The staff is wonderful but this is not really a bakery. There’s a few breads by day and unfortunately domes are from yesterday or more, you feel it in the taste. I don’t remind the last time I came and actually find a fresh sandwich.
They seem to close whenever they want and sometimes its a 1/2 hour to 1 hour early very frustrating

Used online service to order sweet bread. My order was confirmed and I was sent a pick up time. At 12:30 the bakery was closed and a sign was posted saying they’d return at 1:30. Waited an hour, and at 1:30 no one returned. Tried calling and nothing. Their posted hours are from 6 am - 2 pm. Requested a refund. Will not be ordering again.
Amaral's is always my go to for fresh portuguese sweet breads and bolos. Brought a bunch home with me after visiting the area for a week and will be ordering more to be shipped here when I need more!! Daughter and I were welcomed and helped quickly and clerk was very friendly and helpful!
I hate writing a bad review but here I am. I've ordered from this company a time or two in the past and have never had issues. The bread comes in a box with Packing peanuts ( Or packing ) so my bread has never been damaged. This time I received a box with no packing. Half of the bread in the box was smashed. I originally emailed the orders email address as soon as I opened my box. I then saw that I was missing 2 items. I sent another email maybe 10 minutes later. The next day, UPS delivered a box that had 1 of the two missing items in it. Still no response via email and I've yet to get my missing loaf and it's been . I emailed them again and again, Nothing. I then called the Store phone number, Left a voice mail expressing my issues and included my name and phone number. Nothing. It has been almost 2 full weeks since my first email. Please, Do better. This is not the kind of customer service I expected.
We absolutely love Amaral’s Bolos and were pleased to find out they ship after leaving Rhode Island.
Unfortunately, my 3 star review comes from disappointment after trying to contact the bakery on multiple occasions, via phone and Instagram, and receiving our order with poor packaging.
I would strongly suggest following up with customers and revisiting the interior packaging for your products to prevent smashed bolos. 😣
I have been ordering online consistently for 2 years with Amaral's. They are the best to deal with. I live in NC and can't get their products where I live on the coast. I will always order from them!

Nestled in a charming red-brick building, Hartley's Original Pork Pies has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 1900. My daughter and I were on our way to a different bakery when we saw the sign out front for this place that read "gourmet" baked goods. The only thing better than baked goods are gourmet baked goods! So we stopped and I asked my daughter if she wanted to try this place out instead. I peeked in their window to make sure there was at least something there we'd like, then warned my lifelong vegetarian daughter that there might not be too much for us there, at a place that I'm guessing primarily does pork pies. She wanted to try it out anyway, so in we went. Upon stepping in I realized there was way more there for us that just wasn't visible from the window. A whole case of stuff, actually. Plus a rack of all different cookies. The ladies there told us everything is homemade, no preservative or anything, just like you'd make at home yourself. So we decided to take the chance and stock up on these delicious looking bakery goods. We got multiple bags of cookies, cannoli, brownies, an apple turnover and cupcakes. I then brought my very picky husband some of the goods. Everyone approved, which is rare in my house! My husband loved the turnover and the cannoli, the cupcakes are great, and I don't know what she puts in those oatmeal cookies but I have a problem... Google wants me to update a year later. We're still going to Hartley's weekly, obsessed with their oatmeal cookies to the point I bought a bigger bike basket to hold more cookies 🙈 Also, I don't know who owns the "Big gay car" outside, but it makes my daughter's day parking behind it when we don't ride our bikes. It's become a Hartley's landmark for us at this point! So a random thanks to the big gay car owner 😂

Hartley's makes a great pie. I find it hard to believe that a person would give it one star because it wasn't seasoned enough. Or they put gravy on top. Good grief something is wrong these complainers. Not every customer wants it heavily seasoned. Season it yourself. Be grateful it has gravy as it keeps each bite moist. The pies are fantastic and for the price I would like to say, Thank You to the owner of Hartley's. This place is a gem. I will visit without fail whenever I'm in the area. I'd like to add I really enjoyed the carrot cake as well.
My 1st Meat Pie was at Hartley's. I'm hooked. Pork pie was fantastic, so was the raspberry turnover. Thanks so much for the conversation, recommendations while visiting the area and the delicious handmade Meat Pie.

It's a take away and if you're going for the atmosphere, you'll find it neat, clean and smelling like a bakery.
If you're going for a pork pie or other meat pie, you're going to be very pleased. The absolute best meat pies, consistently delicious and served with a smile.
I ordered 12 pork pies via Goldbelly. They arrived rapidly and in good condition, but I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the pies. They are extremely dry, with virtually no perceptible seasoning and no visible jelly filling. I was puzzled by the presence of gravy: something I have never seen with pork pies and, while it offset the dryness, it did nothing to enhance the experience.
Note: the rest of the review is meaningless, as I never attended the restaurant but it won’t post unless each part has an answer.
Holy sheesh! This place has been in business for 123 years for a reason. The gravy perfectly blend well with the delicious pork pie! Im from the south and tasing this dish is a superb experience. Gosh I ate like 5 of the smaller ones in an hour LOL!
Aw shoot! I wish someone told me about the broth they put on top. So, I was in the mood for one of my french meat pies today but didn't feel like cooking them. And looked around to see where I could get one or two and see if they were as good as mine (giggle). I drove a half hour to this place because of the rave reviews. They are pretty busy and sold out of the large chourico pie and I had to wait about a half hour for a fresh one. So I purchased a small pork pie, being lunch time, I ate it immediately as you can see in the picture. I also wore it!!! Straight down the good old cleavage (because I wanted a nibble without a fork) and onto my lap omg....don't say you weren't warned (I sure as a pig in a pie wasn't) the pork pie is FILLED with a broth... SOB...that pie was just ok. Only seasoned with a little salt and pepper. Made with roughly chopped (in my opinion) bland pork sausage. The other thing I found disappointing was this CASH COW doesn't take credit cards (taxes?unreported income?) But instead offers you their own ATM on site where you also PAY THEM to use it and your bank toO of course. Anyway, here are the pictures to the large meat pie and 2 small chicken pies (which look identical to the pork pie that ruined my smell and outfit for the day) PS. I'm still hoping their meat pie is as good as mine. French meat pie vs Portuguese meat pie???? We shall see.
I was missing a taste of home so I traveled all the way from new hampshire just for those meat pies brought 6 home with the me, u guys really should ship ❤️ faithful customers always going on 30 years now generations i believe my grandparents and parents and me now my kids go here

Leddy's Bakery is a delightful gem that truly shines when it comes to creating stunning wedding cakes. Although the ordering process can be a bit stressful due to their policy of accepting orders only within a month of the event, the end result is undeniably worth it. The wedding cake I ordered was not only visually breathtaking but also tasted divine, perfectly complementing the venue's decor. Beyond weddings, Leddy's offers an array of mouthwatering pastries and donuts that are simply irresistible!
Delicious donuts! And cheaper than Dunkin!!! Coming from R.I. these are very similar to Allie's donuts, but even softer!🙌🏻🤩 I will return anytime I'm in Fall River!

We were very disappointed with our recent experience at this bakery. My sister-in-law ordered cupcakes for her baby shower and called to confirm the pickup time for 10:00 AM. The bakery said “well we have a lot of cakes today, can you come at 1?” and agreed.
When she arrived at 12:54, just a few minutes early, she was met with rude comments about being early and was told the cupcakes weren’t ready. They also stated they don’t frost the cupcakes until they are in the boxes. She waited for 20 minutes but had to leave for a 1:30 appointment. Her mother went to pick them up later and was again met with attitude. The staff said they couldn’t open the boxes because they were already sealed, though they briefly showed one box that had a rose design. It looked okay—but definitely not what we expected from a professional bakery.
When we finally opened the boxes at home, we were shocked. The cupcakes were poorly packaged—some boxes were stuffed full, others nearly empty, causing the cupcakes to topple and get ruined in transit. The decorations were sloppy and unprofessional. The frosting looked like it had been done by a child, not a bakery. It was nothing like the quality we were expecting or what was shown in their photos.
This was an important event for our family, and the unprofessionalism, attitude, and lack of care were incredibly disappointing. We would not recommend this bakery and will not be ordering from them again.
We had take the cupcakes out of one box and transport in something else due to issues mentioned above.

We ordered our wedding cake from Leddy's to be delivered to our venue. The process of ordering the cake was a bit stressful as they would only take the order no more than a month in advance, but honestly it was worth it, because everything turned out wonderful!!! When I arrived at the venue and saw the cake it was prettier than I had even imagined; the staff did a great job putting together the cake with the decor and references I provided them. Every staff member I spoke to during the process was kind and helpful. We received SO many compliments from our guests on how delicious the cake was (we went with chocolate with raspberry filling- and it really was so delicious!!!) And to top it off the price we paid for the three-tiered cake as well as two double sheet cakes was very affordable. We will definitely be going back to Leddy's for our cake orders in the future :) We appreciate them making our special day extra sweet!
Had a cake made for my daughters sweet 16, and the owner was very rude throughout the entire process. Her employees provided us with a number to contact to ask questions. When we called, it was the owner telling us "this is my personal cell you shouldn't be calling me on this number, call the shop" in a very rude tone. We explained this was the number we were given by her employees and apologized, she was still rude and hung up. Then on pick up day we call the shop to confirm and she answers. We then stated once again apologies for the phone mix up and she replied "Ya i dont know why you called me on that number it was a bit much". While they were cheaper than most options... you get what you pay for sometimes. Hopefully no one else will have this type of experience when ordering a cake for an event. We dealt with several vendors and Leddys was by far the most unprofessional one. Its unfortunate
Incredible bakery! No matter what people say, everyone there works so hard and the pastry/cakes are so fresh. Not many bakeries around like this one anymore!!! :) I recommend to everyone!!
Just went for our 1st time this morning and got some long johns and regular donuts and they're amazing! Was helped by a wonderful woman named Brittany who was so kind and helpful! The wait is awful though so one star loss for that.
Lack of attention to cleanliness. Upon reading on the new owners and seeing their accolades and degrees in baking/culinary from more prestigious schools than I've been to, I am actually more perturbed.
Also, why are you understaffed on a busy holiday weekend? Your staff should be wearing hairnets in the kitchen. And should not be handling prepared food with bare hands. A piece of bakery paper does not count. Flour on the floor in the customer areas is a trip hazard and fire hazard.
Fingerprints on the cases. A proofing box in the area for breakfast with handprints and dust all over it, full view of the customer.
I used to be a regular. And I don't think I will be again, because this bakery was important to me and I have restaurant, health, kitchen, and customer service experience.
Even Freshmen at a Voke school knows about hairnets. Or even a hat.
