Ellie's is a cozy and charming Parisian-inspired cafe and bakery located in Providence. It is the sister establishment to Gracie's, offering a delightful selection of French pastries, light fare, and espresso drinks. I wish I could give Ellie’s TEN stars!! First of all, our server (Helen) was phenomenal! Our group absolutely adored her and she made excellent recommendations and made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed. We shared several pastries, and bought more to go on our way out. Our group had a mix of breakfast items and lunch sandwiches and we were all satisfied. Drinks were great - lattes, drip coffee, mimosas, etc. It was the perfect spot for our group! Beautiful and bright atmosphere, semi-private room for our group in the back, and the staff was very friendly. I saw a couple of negative reviews below, and based on our experience, I just can’t imagine leaving anything less than five stars! 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back.

We were visiting Providence for the first time and we wanted an amazing cup of coffee with something delicious boy were we surprised when we walked in and we found out that they made their own classic croissants and amazing pastries along with macaroons the coffee choices are great. The seating is great. It’s a great place to hang out and socialize and work and very comforting. The staff is outstanding. Helen is amazing, Avery is a champion.
I visited this cafe three days in a row during my trip to Providence, RI, with my husband. We enjoyed a variety of pastries and savory dishes. The avocado toast was unique — they blend the avocado into a smooth purée, which isn't my personal preference (I prefer a chunkier texture). Nevertheless, everything else we tried was excellent. The pastries were particularly memorable, and I especially loved the rosemary cookie — a must-try! We also enjoyed their cappuccinos and matcha lattes. The staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a positive atmosphere. We visited around 11 AM several times, which was their busy period. There was a fairly long line, but it was worth the wait. The space itself is lovely — plenty of seating and a bright, inviting environment. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely return next time we're in Providence!
This place was a gem and easily the best place I dined during my visit to RI. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and fast. The windows for the whole place opened to the outside to let in the beautiful fall weather. Lastly the food was delish! We also shared a table with another couple and this led to lovely conversation!
Great experience at Ellie’s a nice cozy cafe in the downtown Providence area. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. The coffee was good and had a tasty breakfast sandwich and delicious pastry. The rest of the menu and pastries also looked great. The cafe was clean, bright, well decorated, and had plenty of seating. Would definitely recommend to a friend or return in my next trip to Providence.
Food was excellent! Service is always exceptional; everyone is so friendly and hospitable. Love the colors and vibes, so pretty and summery. Not too many lunch options, but the ones I’ve had are delicious. Portions are a bit on the small side, especially being more expensive. Overall, wonderful experience!
One of my new favorite places in Providence! We went here on a recent Saturday around 5pm, ordered delicious espresso martinis, sat outside on the patio with the windows of the restaurant open, and listened to an awesome jazz trio playing live music inside the restaurant. There were people there having food, having drinks just listening to the music, sitting alone reading or working on their computer, talking at their table- it was a wonderful cafe/bar vibe where you could feel comfortable doing any of those things, just enjoying the afternoon and being around others. We appreciated that they could make our espresso martinis without Baileys. Their soup of the day happened to be vegan/plant-based but none of their pastries were vegan/plant-based 😥- we would have gotten a pastry if they were.
Third times a charm when rounding the building trying to find parking on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Lucky the corner window was open and we had a cozy spot to enjoy soup, scone and cookie with delicious beverages. The only complaint from my 17 year old was the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was too heavy on the chocolate and not a good balance of oatmeal. Thanks for the lovely respite for a few Southern Californians who didn’t find any charming, delicious goody places in Warwick. Thanks.

Sin is a modern bakery known for its made-to-order cakes and a variety of sweet treats like donuts and whoopie pies. The establishment has gained recognition through the expertise of culinary professionals, many of whom are graduates from Johnson and Wales University. The space itself exudes a lively atmosphere with its white-washed brick, ductwork, and wood decor, featuring a full bar and an open view into the bakery.
Stopped here late on a Saturday afternoon and there was still a very good selection of desserts. I got the blueberry lemon bomb, blackberry and champagne gluten free cupcakes. The blueberry bomb was incredible and worth the high price of $10. I was less impressed with the blackberry cupcake as it was a little dry and the frosting not very sweet. The champagne cupcake was a pleasant surprise as some of the GF stuff I’ve got in the past (other bakeries) just weren’t good. This cupcake was super moist and flavorful. Will definitely be returning here for more delectable goodies!

Everything was very flavorful (perhaps a bit too much so with the desserts -- the flavors were a bit in your face, though definitely tasted good and I would give them another shot), and the atmosphere was great -- laid back and comfortable, which made it a great place to start the day!
Good customer service, good energy, kind and helpful. Plenty of seating and the color red throughout the shop added to a vibrant atmosphere.
Although there was only one vegan option, coming from a city where bakeries don't offer vegan treats, I appreciated their offering. I loved the yummy vegan coconut vegan lemon butter cream cupcake. The coconut flakes in the vanilla cupcake was a nice added texture. The cupcake was light and moist. The lemon butter cream frosting wasn't sweet with a perfect lemon taste, not tart but just the right combination. I liked the decorative frosting with toasted coconut flakes. I also enjoyed the chai latte with almond milk. The first taste of cinnamon was soothing and the rest of the flavors came through for a warm and comforting drink.
The treats are not cheap. $10 each for the passionfruit mango eclair and the raspberry pistachio bomb, but OH MY WORD they are fantastic!!! I don’t know that I have ever tasted anything quite like the raspberry bomb. Its texture combo, flavor profile, etc is just out of this world!!!!
They also have coffee, tea, and cocktails!
I had a delicious peppermint tea.
We ordered a penguin birthday cake for our daughter’s third birthday and The cake was absolutely beautiful, it also tasted great as well!
Definitely going to use them in the future their cake decorating skills are impressive!

We love coming here, the pastries and coffee are 10/10. Not sure if they are no longer open late night anymore because they’ve been closed all the times we’ve tried to go recently. Which is disappointing because we loved having a spot to go after a night out, to get either cocktails, coffee or a sweet. Always had a killer playlist on and the vibes were always great, definitely would go back if they start their late night hours again.
Our sweet little wedding cake was from Sin and it was perfect. Our something blue to fit into a blue and gold themed cozy wedding.
Everything from my first inquiry, to the tasting, to the wedding day was easy & delicious.
Can’t imagine ordering a cake from anywhere else.

Pastiche Fine Desserts is a charming European-style dessert shop located in Federal Hill, Providence. The cozy and lively cafe offers a variety of house-made fruit tarts, cakes, chocolates, pastries, eclairs, cannoli, and biscotti. The owner, Amy Foster, who has been in the baking industry since the 90s and took over as owner two years ago, prides herself on the popular fresh fruit tart.
The best fruit tart that I have ever had in my life. The custard filling has amazing texture with the perfect sweetness and flavor paired with delicious and fresh fruits on top. The pie crust is very dense and crispy which did not get soggy and maintained amazing texture.

We’ve been getting our cakes from Pastiche for years and we swear by it. They only get better and better with time and stay true to their commitment to quality. It elevates any event to have these scrumptious cakes. They’re a core memory for us all.
Our family love the fruit tart from here. This is the second tart we have gotten in 2 weeks. Today while my brother is eating, he saw something moving inside of his raspberry. Got my phone out a bit slow but the spider just crawled out of the raspberry onto the tart, you can see raspberry residue on one of its legs 🫠 And this was us bringing the cake back and cut up and serve right away…
The fruit tart was soooo good! I really like the custard inside. Both lemon and banana tarts are good too but not as amazing as the fruit one. We arrived at 12 on Sunday and there was no line.

Solid selection of products and easy location to get to. The store has just about all the essentials. Needs a little love as some of the shelves/displays are empty, but they do appear to have what you need.

This store is closing oct31 as it is owned by stop and shop and was deemed unprofitable. I went in Sunday and the cashiers were wearing parkas and it felt like there was no heat. The cashier said management told them it was needed for the food.no one should have to work like that. I reported them to OSHA and the labor board who called me today and said the management said the heat was having “issues” OSHA is requiring a repair bill as proof. I will never shop at stop and shop again they don’t treat their employees well and if they could they would have customers stocking shelves as well as scanning and bagging our own groceries to save money
I purchased sandwich deli ham. Actually half fat and ham. They have an area of precut cold cuts so one doesn't have to wait in the deli line. I was shocked and disgusted opening this package up. Who would ever eat something with this much fat. There is no excuse or reason to sell this.
Definitely best grocery fried chicken in Rhode Island. $4.5 for 4 piece and $8 for 8 piece.
Classic pressure cooker frying technique (similar to KFC’s original recipe chicken, rather than the crispy skin style from Popeyes).
Nicely and thoroughly seasoned. Maybe not super crispy bc the chicken might be placed under heat lamp for several hours, but the overall texture is marvelous. The smell of the chicken is also insanely good.
Note that there are other fried chicken available in this store and they are usually sold cold. I have tried those and they are not even close to this pressure cooker fried chicken. If the chicken does not smell incredible, then you are looking at the wrong product.
Great market 👍 great selection of groceries, and a line of ethnic foods. Deli is great has everything. Nice meat department. Fish department. Nice salad bar, hot bar. Table's to sit at an eat. Coffee, pastry. Lottery tickets. Pay your utilities there. Very clean for the amount of traffic. Plenty of parking. Handicapped parking spots. Plus on a convenient bus route. Go check it out for yourself you won't be disappointed.. pleasant staff..
We were here today on an instacart order with some very specific items required, special cheeses. The guy in the area (bigger lighter skinned guy with a beard) was not only incredibly willing to help, but also able. He knew exactly where everything was without a second thought. Very impressed by his customer service. Great job.

Every dessert looked delicious and the free cupcake I got was her PB&J. This thing was massive and definitely the biggest cupcake I’ve ever had.
The cake itself was very moist after bringing it to room temperature and the frosting was incredible with a perfect amount of peanut butter flavor.
Marti was so sweet and kind! She was very passionate about her desserts and she told me she’s making 90 different flavors right now.
I’m glad I found this place and can’t wait to come back.
Absolutely love Marti’s Bakery! Martha is the sweetest—she came through last minute and baked a custom cake completely from scratch using just a rough idea, a picture, and a few suggested ingredients. She even adjusted the recipe to make it less sweet, just the way I like it. The result? Absolute perfection. The cake was incredibly delicious.
This is the second time I’ve ordered from Marti’s and once again, it did not disappoint. Her attention to detail and care for her customers really shows. Prices are super reasonable too. If you’re looking for a go-to bakery that delivers quality and heart, Marti’s is it!

We recently had our son’s graduation party and the dessert table was the highlight of the event. We ordered a multi layer cake, an assortment of cupcakes, and a tray of cookies. I can’t say enough good things about everything. We received a large number of comments from our guests complementing all the treats. We can’t say enough good things about this shop. The Duck and Bunny is a crêperie and tearoom located in a historic house in the Fox Hill neighborhood. It offers a variety of options including beer, wine, cupcakes, and even features a cigar lounge. My boyfriend and I came here for our first date as well as our one year anniversary we served by Josh and Ashley who are both wonderful people! Great food great atmosphere but it is worth the wait. Josh even gave us two cupcakes for our anniversary. We will be coming back each year for our anniversary ❤️. Thank you Duck and Bunny!

This place is a little easy to miss from the outside, but so eclectic and unique on the inside. About a 25 minute walk from DT Providence. They took the duck and bunny theme to their grave - play a game and find the hidden ducks/bunnies on the inside! The candlelit ambiance and cozy seating area make it great for a romantic dinner or dessert outing, or laidback tea and coffee with friends. Outdoor seating is available, with a waitlist at peak times. The place is a bit narrow and looks to have been a residence at some point, as the kitchen is directly next to the bathroom, so be careful when stepping out as you may encounter employees trying to get by.
We had the seasonal plates, which were good, especially the Crepeadilla; however, the Crepe Lo Mein was overpowered by soy sauce, which made it difficult to enjoy fully. The banana Nutella and espresso mocha cupcakes were delicious and very sweet! Local craft beer featured on the menu, and the menu had excellent pairing suggestions with meals. Our waitress was great with recommendations and keeping up with our table. Would definitely recommend as a lovely local restaurant to friends visiting east Providence!
Usually extremely busy during breakfast or brunch hours. Quality food, decent prices, cupcakes are delicious. There is also a beautiful back yard area that I would recommend checking out. Additionally, you may have events in the back yard area, information is available on their website.
Delicious brunch eats with the Bunny Bleu salad (pictured) a fave. Crepes are a good choice too. Dine on or out, but I love dining in. It's decorated as if you were visiting some cool aunt who bakes. Which by the way, a mini selection of cup cakes is not a bad way to go and makes perfect dessert for 2 if get four in a box.

We chose the Duck & Bunny to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. To me, they are well priced especially for a two tiered custom cake and over 140 cupcakes. They are very nice and went over every detail. My fiance, two of my bridesmaids & I went there for cake tasting and they were amazing! Great service and attentiveness. After we had devoured the cupcakes, she sat down and went over every option and made sure we had what we liked on our list and reviewed decorations. Not only were they super nice to us,but to every customer there as well. Every customer was treated with equal respect and kindness. I will DEFINITELY recommend their events service to everyone!

Sue and her team at Awesome Sweets did an incredible job on our wedding cake! We had gotten a fun birthday cake from them in the past so already had a good opinion going in, but we were completely blown away! We had a very ambitious design in mind; a three tiered cake decorated with sculpted buttercream icing, fondant drapery, two different fillings, a fresh fruit and edible flower decor, all big enough to feed a hundred or so people. We also wanted a matching gluten-, egg-, and dairy-free cupcake bouquet for the folks in our wedding with allergies. Sue was incredible every step of the way. She walked us through each decision we needed to make on the taste and presentation, from the flavor of frosting and filling, to the tier size, offset, and position of the decor to best present the fondant folds.
The only item we were asked to provide was the flowers, and there are many sites that will ship to any address in the US so it was easy for us to accomplish. We got edible roses, carnations, and herb blossoms (and took the opportunity to stock up for our bartenders signature drinks as well).
The cake was delivered on time and looked absolutely stunning. The cupcakes were included as well, and made to specification with no allergens. We got so many compliments on how beautiful it all looked, and as many on how great it tasted! Everything was delicious, including the allergen-free cupcakes. Our only regret is it was all eaten, so we’ll just have to go back and get another (Non-wedding!) cake soon. Five stars all the way!

Came here for RI Food Fights and I chose their mocha cappuccino cupcake. The coffee flavor was strong and absolute perfection. I haven’t tasted many desserts like this - the flavor was amazing and the cupcake was moist.
The frosting was also incredible and had a nice, silky texture. I loved the little sticks as well.

Reached out to Awesome Sweets after the nut free bakery we typically use was on holiday break. After calling several bakeries Sue and the Awesome Sweets team were the only ones who could help make a custom Disney Cars birthday cake and also ensure it was allergy safe for our children and other guests.
We were amazed with how the cake turned out and seeing the excitement on our son's face was priceless.

We ordered vegan donuts from Blush for our dessert bar at our wedding this month. We, like many couples, had to reschedule our wedding from 2020 to 2021. Blush was great at accommodating our date change and guest count change. Donuts are one of our favorite desserts so we were so excited to incorporate them into our day! We got great feedback from our guests and would recommend them to other people for your wedding or other event!

Picked up this cake from Blush Bakeshop. Shop was very easy to find. It was ordered by my daughter and we Picked it up. Vegan and gluten free are tall orders for a cake , this was Fantastic and I am not vegan or gluten free, haha! So wonderful that everyone at the party got to "Eat Cake"! Beautifully decorated! I happened to be near by and decided to stop by Service was great ! I bought a vegan chocolate chip cookie . It is very good . Parking was easy . No cash. They prefer you with plastic . You can order online as well . I def recommend this place and That’s the way the cookie crumbles !!
I'm so excited for Blush! I've been dairy free for almost 3 years and am loving all the new vegan options in Providence. Last week I had the rosemary potato pizza (Fridays only) and it was amazing! Today, I had the "bacon", "egg", and "cheez" on a biscuit and it was INCREDIBLE. I couldn't even tell it was vegan products. I followed that up with a spinach, feta croissant for lunch which was equally delicious (if I touch salty but I'm sensitive to that). Highly recommend a visit here soon!!
Everything made at Blush is truly made with love! The breakfast sandwiches, especially the biscuits, lattes and all the pastries are delicious, high quality and you would never know they are vegan. The customer service is warm and friendly and they made me the most adorable birthday cake with replicas of my two kitties! Cannot recommend enough!
One of my favorite vegan and GF spots in RI!! Blush doesn't get enough local credit for their delicious treats, accepting atmosphere and wholesaling to other vegan shops in the area. I love everything about this place from their rotating pastry menu to their incredible salted caramel flavor and bold espresso. I always find myself at Blush when I'm in Providence and I love it, even for folks with nonvegan diets. I appreciate the lovely staff, their fitting blush pink atmosphere and their accepting signage throughout the store.

We hired Eboni to make our wedding cake for our Wedding in Middletown, RI on August 27, 2023. She was amazing! We had a wonderful consultation and constant communication with her. I can’t believe we forgot to write a review for Eboni after raving about her cake for over a year! We got married in October 2022 and the entire experience with ordering from Eboni was smooth and top-tier. We wanted to give our guests 3 flavor options and went with vanilla, strawberry shortcake and carrot cake. Our anniversary tier was carrot cake which we just enjoyed for our first anniversary and it was still just as good as the day we got married! We were sticking to a tight budget but the cake was something we really wanted to splurge on. Eboni made the process super easy by providing us with links to several different options at different price budgets. Our cake was absolutely beautiful and ridiculously tasty and our friends and family still bring it up all the time! I have referred all my engaged friends and family to her and I encourage you to try her yourself and head over for a tasting!! You wont regret it!!

Wildflour Bakery and Cafe is not your typical bakery. It's a health-focused spot that offers vegan, kosher, and gluten-free baked goods along with juices, smoothies, and raw eats. In addition to sweet treats like strawberry cheesecake whoopie pies and cherry lime cupcakes, they also serve savory options like focaccias, salads, chilis, soups, sandwiches, and granolas.
My first time trying Wildflour, and right off the bat I was very pleased to know their hours! 99.9% of bakeries close midday and we aren't able to try new places. So happy to have found a cute place like this! Nice variety, and very good service. Someone was able to help me asap! I tried their latte, coffee blueberry muffin, and chocolate chip cookie. All yummy!

Cute vegan cafe I am glad I got to try. I had to get a few things to try a variety. I even asked for a recommendation. They recommended the blueberry pancake whoopie pie. It was actually amazing. Perfectly toasty and maple blueberry pancakes with a nice cream in the middle. I was excited about the carrot cake latte. It was amazing. I love the creative latte. Then I have to recommend the carrot cake cupcake. Whole food experience was fantastic. Would love to go again. (Getting eloped soon so considering this as my cake). The system with holding numbers is genius. The staff just comes up to you and hands you your order.
They did the cake for my baby shower and it could not have been more perfect. It was a baseball theme and I asked for some flowers too. It was almost too beautiful to cut into. I was so happy and would 100% go back to them for any other cakes I’ll need in the future.
It was a decent place. They had several options ranging from cookies to brownies to cake to other bakery items and all of them were VEGAN!! Looked pretty great tbh.
We ordered the chickpea sandwich, which I thought was alright. Not a 5/5, more like a 3.5/5 it lacked a bit of flavor and was on the dry side.
The coffee was decent too, nothing extraordinary. Overall, it's a good spot. The servers were nice and the atmosphere was great. I'd recommend checking out some of the other items though.
Wildflour is the best vegan bakery in the region, n is so good as to even shame many a nonvegan bakery. Check out their smooth customization of my vision for my bb's bday cake. We suffered in our deconstruction of this work of loving art with each slice harvested, but our pain was mercifully soothed with every heavenly mouthful. My one gripe is that we have to travel 40 minutes for the pleasure of this RI treasure, but such we do for love...
Used to love and frequent this place but I feel it’s gone downhill a bit in recent months. I no longer see my favorite staff members working there and the difference can be felt. Service is hit or miss depending on who you get, and the food is hit or miss a lot as well. Certain meals can be made drastically different from day to day. The bakery and food selection could use some additions and/or subtractions. I wish they had simpler options like a plain blueberry muffin… rather than the blueberry walnut coffee cake. Over the last couple years the menu has just felt so redundant. Overall I feel this place has gotten complacent due to being established for a long time, one of the only vegan eateries around, and its central location. It’s like they know they’ll always have customers so they don’t feel the need to try too hard on the customer service front. I get it, but I used to give them a lot of money and I’ve reduced that significantly in recent months. I’m at the point where if I want vegan food I’ll just go to the Indian spot in the same plaza and get a vegan option there. Wish there were more efforts to make tangible improvements here with service, consistency, menu, etc. because some of their selections *can* be good depending on the day. But personally I’ve grown tired of taking that risk.
My husband surprised me with a piece of chocolate cake, gluten free whoopie pie and cupcakes for my birthday. Everything looked delicious, I chose the chocolate cake to dive into first. It came with raspberries, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. So wonderful. Such a big piece that I still have some for later. What a wonderful surprise! I'll definitely return for some more treats when we're in the area. I'm in eastern CT and it's worth the hour trip.
What a refreshing find! The humans are extremely friendly and the food is delicious! They have a little bit of everything here. Highly recommend this lovely place. I will now be a regular customer. This bakery is amazing and has a great selection of baked goods. I wanted one of everything when I went. Just a lovely little place. My father used to go all the time and bring bread and muffins back for us in the morning. The staff was friendly and nice. Great little place I need to frequent more often.

I haven't been here in 20+ years and it tastes exactly the same! More than anything the customer service is top notch! From taking my order to the pick-up! They even called me to make sure that I remembered which I forgot so it was the best reminder that they close at 3:00 on Saturdays and just to make sure I was going to get the cake the girl in the bakery when I picked it up on a Saturday she was the nicest person I think I've ever dealt with going into a place of business very personable very kind explain to me about the pastries, fillings etc.. Very welcoming. Service was great and felt more like family than a business. Everything was delicious again, this was my 2nd time and must say you've found a forever customer. All this for $17. Quality and was peanut free which was a big deal to me with my allergies hard to find places that are delicious& safe to eat. Thank you so much. Hard to pick a favorite today
