I loved how quintessentially Balkan this place was. It’s right at the heart of the city, next to the fountain, the tables are densely situated and are facing the street so you’re able to people watch all you want. I loved it! I think it has several levels, but we were able to find a table outside every morning. Service is really fast and I would recommend it for breakfast or afternoon coffee for sure!

They gave me the bill until the food, that is particularly. They have gluten free bread, but the portion was small and in my opinion is not well mixed with potatoes chips. The yogurt was fine but I was expecting one more type of fruit

The food was ok but because the place is in a very turistiki street the service and atmosphere is not great. We ve ordered: pie with honey (without cinammon), a pepsi and one water and they did not bring the water and the pie had the cinammon even tho the waitress asked us before how we want it. If you still go there then choose the balcony for a better view. Toilets are so and so. Thank you

Found this little cafe right in lions square. You get a front row view of the Morosini Fountain while you enjoy your fresh phyllo pastry. We ordered a round of freddo and Bougatsa with Mytzithra, local honey & walnuts. Service was quick and food delicious.

They have delicious spanakopita, hortakopita and all other pastries. We tried so many and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were very polite. Definitely recommend it!

OMG! their food is a really Cretan experience. With home made yogurt and cream. Their spinach pie is the best we tried so far in this area. The baklava is also one of the best. Everything was yummy. The terrace is decorated beautifully, spacious and surrounded by old stones and ornaments. Suggestion to the place: maybe add more information on the ingredients list - some people may have health issues

Best breakfast/coffee shop in Crete ! I went twice and both time the food was beyond delicious, everything tasted fresh and the portions were generous. The staff was lovely and very helpful and the service efficient. I highly recommend the Greek breakfast, the Spanakópita, the bougátsa and the cappuccino!

We had an espresso, rose and delicious pie here. The espresso is how a espresso should be. The staff is very friendly and sitting outside is really relaxed overlooking the cozy street. If you are around, you should stop by. They also serve hot food like waffles, eggs and more from the morning till 15:00 and after 18:00 till midnight. We had breakfast the next week and was also very good! You have to try the waffles and pancakes!

The most amazing place for dessert, cafe, pancakes, speciality coffees and treats! We found this place on our last night, along with beautiful town it is nestled in. We will certainly be back next year. We had the Greek pancakes and waffles, along with ice cream coffee (yes that’s a thing!) and Bailey’s coffee. Hospitality was wonderful - felt like a home from home/ very quaint in its set up- perfect for watching the world go by on an evening.

I decided to stop in one of the cutest spots and it didn’t disappoint me. Had a delicious red wine here. If you’re walking around don’t miss Rahati for a drink!

Decent pastry place for a quick pick up. Their cake are not super sweet so you can really enjoy a lot of them. There were some vegan cake options. They also had really good hot chocolate with interesting flavors. Highly recommended.

Unreal. Delicious and such friendly staff. Haven’t had anything like this on this island, the perfect place for healthy, filling delicious food. Only downside is I forgot to take my desert with me!! This is by far one of my favorite spots in Heraklion! I’m gluten & dairy free, so it’s usually difficult to find options for me in Greece, however, Crumb was extremely accommodating. They have plenty of alternative milk options as well. The staff were extremely friendly & everything we ordered was delicious - the Popeye omelette (modified) & the pancakes. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Many clearly labeled vegan foods and drinks, friendly staff with service in English. Bathrooms downstairs for customers, but walk slowly as the lights are automatic and only turn on once in there. You can make no mistake with food orders as long as you check for the symbol that represents your dietary needs. Very good food and drinks!

First place I visited during my stay in Crete, and oh God it was worth every cent I spend there - fast, reliable, tasty is not enough to explain quality of food up there. Service - 10/10. Atmosphere - half of people inside looked like locals and were acting like locals. Music was a bit too loud tho

Only a Greek name here (I couldn’t find English signage). Super amazing pastries. I randomly bought a dark chocolate cake here. It was so good that we all fought over it. By the time I remembered to take a photo, this gorgeous appearing and amazing tasting cake looks like it got splattered all over the box. This was one of the best bakeries that I have tried in Europe (better than Paris, France and Rome, Italy).

Really nice bakery, all the staff and owner was very nice with us. They even offered us a pizza, which was delicious. The cakes and biscuits look very professional and appetizing. We tried two of them and them have a great taste, this is delicious. I strongly recommand you to have a look and try their products.

I bought delicious biscuits. Not expensive and very-very tasty, fresh. I was also happy with my salad and cheese pie. The only one disturbing thing is too loud music and ventilator inside that cuts the light and not pleasant for eyes.

This is a classic pastry shop has one good option “galaktompoureko” but value for money and quality absolutely not. Their portions are priced extremely high for a 600gram “family” dessert you will pay the same price as a 1kg one in any other local pastry shop that will be just as good, this is Crete after all, the majority of places have top tier quality. Additionally the dessert that we got was stale so freshness level only on “galaktompourekos” im assuming. Other than that everything we tried was not worth it. It is disappointing to see places that devalue peoples money this way. Its a no for me

We have just recently had our wedding 2/6/2025 at Agrecofarms in Crete. I contacted Patisserie Gloria to see if they could make us a wedding cake. Their correspondence was absolutely brilliant. I could choose a large range of lavours for my cake and in any style I wanted. We hadn't seen the cake until it was bought out for us to cut. We were absolutely blown away. It was amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The flavours were out of this world. It's the best wedding cake we have ever seen and was also superb value. If you're thinking of getting married in Crete, I would highly recommend that you contact Patisserie Gloria. The cake was also delivered to the farm directly. It's absolutely awesome. One of the best shops in Heraklion. Kalitsounia, ice cream, cakes and sandwiches are very tasty. Service is nice too. Prices are like 5-10% higher than average but it makes sense because of the quality.

A very beautiful bakery/patisserie. You can find everything from snacks to bread and from coffee to sodas and tea. It has probably the best snacks in crete and you can find almost everything greek and a lot of europian patisserie related snacks. Definitely recommend. You can alos buy icecream. Everything is handmade and great quality. It is also reasonably priced too.

Super yummy cakes, pastries, tartes and ice cream. They also sell bread, croissants and baguettes. We ordered 2 cakes for a birthday, which were super tasty and had good prices!

Came here for a post dinner coffee + dessert and it didn't disappoint. The baclava was so tasty. Great slice size and the frappe was made perfectly. Easy to find Not so easy to park. Great prices. Friendly staff. Speaks English. Would recommend and return.

They have different products: ice cream, pastries, cookies, chocolate, cakes, pies, ice cream cakes and pastries, and bread. We tried half a kilo of different greek baklavas for a little bit more than 6 Euros which is really cheap consideringthe quality. They have many tables and also serve tea and coffee there. They are really friendly and give you all the time you need to pick out of their huge selection.

We had breakfast at La Maison du Pain every morning during our stay (except Sunday, when they are closed) and it was simply fantastic. The menu offers a wide variety with plenty of delicious options. The food is truly excellent, fresh, and of high quality – every dish we tried was amazing. The place itself is very charming, cozy, and well cared for, perfect to start the day in the best way. A special thanks to the staff, always kind and smiling – they really make you feel at home. Highly recommended, much more than positive! 🌟

I thought the croissants were just average. However, it has a very nice atmosphere and seems like a great place to have coffee and dessert with friends.

To be fully honest, never I would have expected to find a patisserie / boulangerie of such outstanding quality in Crete. I had the best strawberry tartelette of my life here and we come here almost everyday for their extraordinary coffee, baguettes and croissants. The staff is also super nice and it feels like entering a little French oasis every morning. Absolute must visit for everyone that loves French baked goods and sourdough. Thank you so much 🙏

Great French patisserie. I had a chocolate caramel with nuts. It was absolutely 💯 👌 I will have it again and also try something new. It all looked lovely, but I had already eaten enough that day. I used to love your products. You no longer hold 80%of what you used to. Your new line of unsweetened sweets is tasteless. You decreased the weight of bread by 50%and increased the price at the same time on the same product. I placed a bulk order for a christening and it was at least 10days old. Your stuff is limited and they can not catch up on service.its a pity cause you used to be one of the best bakeries. you need to change lots of things if you want your once loyal customers to return

They have some really tasteful products and other not so good. Personally I love the traditional grasshopper cooked in pan! They also have nice Greek sweet bread which you can fill with chocolate, nice croissant, tasty truffles and quite nice bread. I don't prefer the puffies..

(The patisserie was empty by the way we were the only customers) Sometimes small things make the difference in a place. Self service patisserie offering a variety of drinks and desserts in Kokkini Hani. The waffles and ice cream were very fresh (though the ice cream was not so tasty) and reasonably priced for the portion. The staff was a bit slow and not as welcome as they should be but it's alright if you're really craving something sweet.

Perfect coffe, amazing service, so many variety of ice cream, bread, sweets, juices, snacks. There is to get lost, the only bad point is the view that face on the road. As well there is an area for the kids and the staff is very kind. A true Greek hospitality. As well you can simply take away all the things that they offer in the menus.

The cakes looked delicious, however, we stopped for Ice cream, loads of ice cream choices, you can buy just a cone or as I did 1 kilo in a polystyrene container to keep it cool for an hour.

One of my fav. places in Kokkini H. They are one of the best Patisserie out there: everything is super delicious and the place, although small, is really nice thanks to the terrace looking on the road. This is five stars easy.

The Dubai chocolate dessert is amazing! It had both chocolate and pistachio cream/custard and a pistachio biscuity/nutty base. I wish I could go back to Heraklion to eat it again. I also tried their Dubai chocolate and bueno gelato. Every gelato place I’ve seen that offers Dubai chocolate gelato makes it with a chocolate base featuring pistachio. However, this place does it with a pistachio base (the more expensive ingredient) featuring chocolate, which is so much better and more premium. It was very reasonably priced and the lovely lady at the counter also noticed I was pregnant and kindly gave me a free scoop for my growing baby. Thank you, it was delicious!

One of Heraklion's best bakeries, Σαβοϊδάκης has the most delectable sweets and ice creams. The location is in the center of everything, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. If you are on any kind of diet, you had better pass this shop bye, bye. I, myself, cannot resist. The coffee is wonderful too. Highly recommended.

Great place for desserts of all kinds. Even though we spoke different languages for the most part, we where able to navigate the ordering of many fine items. The staff was ever so helpful and gracious. You must try the lovely items when in town.
