Excellent bakery with friendly service and prices. We came in for sandwiches, but they weren't available on the weekend...their wraps and treats were yummy, though! Don't miss the brioche.

Viennoiseries and cakes are great. But at lunch time, they have a good selection of sandwiches. They had only one non-meat sandwich, but it was very tasty. Both times I went to, there was a queue of people waiting along the narrow store waiting to pay for their selections.

Gorgeous boulangerie, with one of the most impressive ranges of bread across Bordeaux. Lemon tart was perfectly balanced, definitely recommend!

Baguette is really good, pastries are excellent and the cakes are absolutely amazing. I recommend the pavlova which is absolutely delish. Closed on Mondays but opens at 7:30am all the other days of the week.

This place is truly a gem and my absolute favourite. Steeped in history, the wood-fired oven is a magnificent sight to behold and a real treat to experience in person. I have had the pleasure of trying their baguette, croissant, chocolatine, pain aux raisins, quiche aux poireaux, and flammekueche. Each item is simply delightful and delicious. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming, with a family-friendly vibe that makes every visit a pleasure. I simply adore this place and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic French boulangerie experience.

Best croissant and pain au chocolate we had in France! Their bread was also great! All freshly baked in an old wood fired oven of 1765! A great experience if you are in Bordeaux!

Authentic, and old! This place dates back to 1765, during the reign of King Louis XV. They still bake the bread, and pastries in the same oven and I swear I could taste history in each bite of my quiche. There is a grand table up the back, close to the oven, that a group of men were celebrating a birthday. It was a great setting, and everyone was having a great time.

Mi Cielo is a cute little pastry shop packed with yumminess. The attendant was very warm and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and soothing, I wish they had a coffee/tea shop so we can sit and enjoy their sweets! The pastries and cookies weren't too sweet and they use fish gelatine in their mousse which is convenient when you have guests with different dietary restrictions. Thanks a mil, we loved it!

There is nothing like this place in the city. Mi Cielo has the best French desserts I've ever tried. And believe me, I've try many other before. I was there with friends and we ordered many desserts to share. All of them were like angels in my mouth. The choux is unbelieveble: soft and crunch at the same time. I haven't liked Saint Honoré until I tried Mi Cielo's Saint Honoré. I totally recomend this place. I can't wait to go back in Bordeaux just to go there!

Love love love! My husband and I came to Bordeaux to celebrate my birthday and we had heard of Mi Cielo. The desserts are to die for, the flavors are so intense and the best of all they don’t use any food colorants. Everything is made with fresh ingredients. The owners Diego & Blanca are very welcoming and happy to tell you all about their delicious creations. If you are visiting Bordeaux don’t hesitate to try it.

Is difficult to raise above other pastry shops in the country of pastries. However, Mi Cielo has found a way! Their pastries are an amazing mix of French cuisine with a South American twist. You will not find the classic eclair, but cheesecake with passion fruit, or a chocolate royal type, but with a different touch. Everything there is absolutely delicious and a lovely surprise taste wise.

Being inside this bakery is like travelling to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Could it be more wonderful smelling, watching and tasting one of these delicious, tasty and yummy food? I highly recommended if you are on Bordeaux to take a walk and visit this amazing place. We 've tasted their croissants and it's like touching the sky😍🤤. That's why I give you five stars! A friend recommended me Aux Merveilleux de Fred saying that I couldn’t leave France without trying them and she was right. It’s perfect in terms of sweetness and as it has to be conserved fresh, it gives you a feeling of cold ice cream as well. Inside it has merengue which is the perfect combination!

Excellent, the place is bright, has an ancient / modern feel to it, theservice is friendly, quick. The pastries are as good as they are nice to look at, the precision is visible and the taste very balanced which is something I find lacking in most pastries shops relying to heavily on sugar. We tried the black forest cake, the Matcha and the Japanese cake. What else? They make excellent Cappucinnos!!

I discovered this Patisserie thanks the local guide in Google Maps.. and I decided to test. My friends, this place is really beautiful. Set in the city centre pf Bordeaux, from the first second you feel very welcome. The staff is really friendly. Just 5 or 6 tables inside. The small cakes look really nice to see,  and the teste is amazing delicious. I think it's the best cake that I have eaten. Light, not so much sugar, absolutely perfect. You feel Also you can see, how the Chefs Patisseries make them. Maybe 0,50 or 1 euro more the others city patisserie but believe me the quality of Patisserie S is really superior. I bought also a big Forest Noir, for 6 people and the price was right just 30 euros.  I really recommend this place..

Patisserie S. is so beautiful!! We tried three cakes for two because we couldn’t decide... Everything was so delicious, the best cakes we ever had. Many of their cakes/bakeries had a unique touch of Japan - which was my favorite part. Can’t wait to go back again!!

A beautiful space with amazing pastries. We found the place while walking by to get to our Airbnb. Later, came in for coffee/tea with eclair and strawberry cake 🍰. The strawberry cake is light and fluffy, not too sweet. The space is gorgeous with the Roman arch, chic French cafe style tables and local artists’ art hanging. The service is excellent. Of course, we had to come back again later to get croissants and other pastries for breakfast. Croissants 🥐 are buttery and crunchy on top. The melon bread is pretty and reminiscent of a Hong Kong breakfast bread called “pineapple bread”.

All the staff were friendly, even to tourists like us who speak only broken French so that was really helpful. The sweets we had were good but not extraordinary. Maybe I had my hopes too high. The interior of the place is terrible. It looks like it has not been upgraded for a long time. The chairs and tables look really cheap. There is an ugly table with a vivid green cloth (to hide the ugly table) in the middle of the cafe, blocking the space. The decoration they have for Christmas looked not professionally done. Due to the structure of the place, you can see all the way to the kitchen area. I usually like a cafe or a restaurant with an open kitchen but the decoration of the area in this cafe made the entire place look not polished/sophisticated enough to show the kitchen area directly when customers go into the place.

Amazing little bakery, we ordered a chocolate croissant and a normal croissant and it was delicious. The orange juice was very fresh and sweet, recommend! Also the cappuccino is worth it. We spend in total 10,9 euros, I would say is cheap for France.

Just here on holidays. We got a quiche Lorraine and two cookies for afternoon tea. Holy heck they're SO GOOD. We're definitely coming back tomorrow to try more things (or maybe just get more of those cookies). We got a praline and something one and a pistachio, white choc and berries one. They were soft and flavoursome and not too sweet. The quiche was also top notch, she heated it up for us in a little toaster oven.

The chocolate almond croissant (sorry I’ve forgotten the French name) was one of the best croissants I’ve ever had and literally could turn your mood from a 1/5 to a solid 4/5 in a single bite no kidding

Beautiful cafe, with photography on the walls and a pretty garden with birds. The canelés were amazing and would go back just for them only. However, I got bread and a few cakes and all we're pretty plain, no rich favours just sugar. Very pretty to look at. A bit disappointing as they are dedicated to just gluten free. Good service and atmosphere.

Completely gluten-free boulangerie. As a non-celiac person, I still really enjoyed each pastry. You can tell that they’re not traditional products and there’s something slightly different about the dough, but once you realize they’re entirely gluten-free, you can truly appreciate them. The place itself is very artistic, with beautiful photographs and even a small art gallery inside.

A wonderful find for someone like me who follows a largely gluten-free diet! There was an extensive selection of baked goods: cakes, breads, pastries, and even savory options with delicious toppings. Everything was presented in the typically culinary and aesthetic French way. The beautiful courtyard terrace, in the classic Bordeaux style, makes it the perfect place to start my day in Bordeaux from now on. There’s also a small art exhibition to enjoy. Lovely young staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The fig tart, cannelés, and gâteau basque were delicious! I also really enjoyed being in their lovely terrace, and it is fantastic that they allow dogs. It was great to have a few savoury options (sandwiches, quiches, etc..), however the quiche was very bland and disappointing. The bread in the sandwiches was nice as it didn’t crumble away like a lot of gluten-free bread, but it was quite dry. The flan wasn’t particularly tasty, and I would really recommend having the gateau basque instead. Drinks: I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of hot and cold drinks on offer. Service: Finally, when I got home I realised that I paid for items that weren’t packed in my takeaway bag. The staff were trying their best to cope with the very high demand which made things quite difficult for them. Fully celiac safe as everything is gluten-free.

I wish i could give it a 0 but since the lowest grade available is 1, that is what i will give it. I saw this place on google maps, i thought its rating was good that’s why i decided to give it a try. So we opted for a caramel popcorn flan, which looked and tasted nothing like a flan. I was given by the lady the flan with The top side of the flan broken i saw 2 pieces of flans in this bakery and i was given the broken one. That’s it for aesthetics, let’s talk about taste now, the caramel popcorn? Well no taste of popcorn? The caramel was burnt so it had an unpleasant bitter and ashy taste. The crumble was passable (i would even say not buttery enough). The real issue is on the inside. It looked and tasted nothing like a flan. By colour alone, it was too white already to be close to an authentic golden flan. The texture was tragic. The cream was curdled and lumpy, unlike a classic smooth and silky flan. Tastewise it was lifeless. Completely bland to the point of indifference. It was like bititng into an uneven mush of water and flour. Even a drop of vanilla extract could have salvaged something. Overall, we cannot consider this a flan it tasted nothing like a flan, and considering it’s price of 6€ i would not recommend it to anyone.

Super cute patisserie with great coffee and pastries. The quiche was perfect moist and tasty. Each pastry was nicely crafted but our favourites were the pistachio, lemon-basil, puff pastry with brownie inside. Most of all we appreciated the coffee. All were at a super high level. Beautifully brewed and nice varieties. We had geisha, Ethiopia and the blend. Nice guys running the place. They are also dog friendly.

Most polite service you can imagine. Such nice staff! Lovely little place with delectable pastries made in-house and a variety of coffees, including pour over and batch brew filter coffee. Their choice of coffees is on the lighter roast side, so if you're not into acidity, get that sugar ready. Coffee is prepared with utmost care and is served at perfect temp. The shop is located within walking distance from the local market, so it's a good place to stop by on the way there or back. Great value!

We really enjoyed our experience with this cafe - so much so that we returned the next day. Smooth coffee, warm service and a range of pastries and goodies made in house. Standout for us was the salmon quiche - possibly the best quiche we've ever had with a fantastic non-soggy pastry and a flavour-filled filling

The fruity Ethiopia espresso was something that made me come back on the next day. Very cool atmosphere and high quality coffee & pastry. The lemon&basil dessert was excellent.

This place is an oasis of great coffee in Bordeaux. If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll quickly realise that a lot of places in the city are terrible! But, trust me, this is the spot. Lovely staff members, super welcoming and fantastic coffee and pastries!

I went in not sure what to buy but received great recommendations. I liked how the choux were not too sweet, and the texture was airy in a way that was different from what I’ve tasted before. The lemon basil shortbread was an interesting combination of flavours. The prices were reasonable, so I wished I could have tried them all, but a person can only eat so much. I’d love the chance to go back and try other flavours.

As I understood, the desserts are seasonal, depending on the available fruits, so it's always an interesting discovery Big choice of chou (puffs with cream). We tried passion fruit, lemon, and apricot + rosemary. What we appreciated the most is the lightness of the cream and genuine taste of fruits We've also tried sable speculoos / fruits rouges (dessert with speculoos base and cream) and tartalette with verbena and raspberry. Both had tender texture and natural taste of fruits and herbs

Chouette is a true gem in Bordeaux. Chef Xavier and his wife have truly elevated French pastries to the next level! Xavier is a truly passionate and talented artisan. You can taste this in every bite. Fresh fruits and ingredients are used. The creations are light and not too sweet. Even lactose intolerant person like me can totally enjoy his masterpieces.

I was waiting in the queue and I speak decent french. The man behind the counter asks me to stop and get in queue while it was my turn to order ( thinking that I had jumped the line). It made me pretty anxious. Even the person behind me in the queue told me that it was my turn indeed! Pretty rude staff!

Great for a quick breakfast. It’s one of the few boulangeries and patisseries that open early. They have coffee too. Do know that there is no seating available, so this is just for to-go orders. We ate our breakfast at the tram station across the street where there were benches but it still was a nice experience.

Baguette was really good, salad with ham was just ok, as the ham was very good, lettuce was crisp, but tomatoes were unripe. Cream puffs were good but not amazing.

Amazing bread shop ( Boulangerie). As a coffee person I don’t usually come here for the bread but instead I come for the soft chocolate cake which is amazing. During my visits I ended up buying their bread and it’s is better than many other places. Also the long waiting outside the shop is living evidence of their excellent quality.

I bought boxes of chocolates to bring back to Japan. I have bought chocolates here before and I liked it. There was only one staff serving and she was filling in the box - I saw the box was not filled but she said that it was filled. I could not see it well as she quickly closed the lid and it looked like there were some space but perhaps not enough to put extra ones. There were other customers waiting so I did not want to insist on checking it. However, when I opened the box, there were spaces for two more chocolates - it was the matter of how to put them. Because the price is based on the box rather than weight, I felt really disappointed by this. I wrote to them of this fact, but got no reply of whatsoever. Really disappointed.

The best place to go for coffee and locally made patisseries. We had a selection of plain croissants, almond croissants and a biscuit based kind of cake called a “pauline”, made with fresh strawberries and a crème patisserie, out of this world! There is a nice, clean seating area too. Will definitely come back!

100% vegan cafe but you wouldn’t know it, the “egg white” on top of the citron tarte was exceptional in texture and flavour!

This place is super cute. I had the Financier Citron and my boyfriend had the Choco Caramel tart. He loved it (and he’s not a vegan). The ambience is super cozy and chill. The lady who took care of us was super nice as well.
