Ice cream shop
Natale Pasticceria, established in 1999 near the central Piazza Sant'Oronzo, has become a historic brand constantly evolving. With around fifty flavors including creams, fruit gelatos, sorbets, and granitas, it's a must-visit spot. Their chocolate offerings are diverse with options like rum, chili pepper, and more. Additionally, they offer regional specialties such as Pasticciotto flavor and Maria d'Enghien gelato.
One of the best gelatos that I've ever had! Staff are so nice and would help you if you ask for the suggestions. The Ficchi was my favorite!
Ali R — Google review
All I can say is wow! Don't walk, run to Natale and try their pistachio ice cream. It's incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor! The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of seating options available. It's a fantastic place to enjoy a sweet treat, whether it's day or night. Their other flavors are amazing as well!
Luana P — Google review
We got here by pure chance after eating at least one pasticciotto every day during our trip. I can confidently say this was the best one I had. It was the perfect mix of creamy and crumbly. not overly sweet and overall incredibly satisfying. It was so good we even went out of our way to go back and purchase one of the overly priced T-shirts… no regrets! The only downside is its price, at €2.20 a piece it definitely was on the expensive side in comparison to others in the region but so worth it.
Nicolas A — Google review
Had the “african coffee” and a brioche, which comes with 3 flavors. It was very good both of them. The service was very nice.
Niclas M — Google review
The best gelato I had so far in Italy. And huge portions. The service was also very sweet and helpful.
Przemysław B — Google review
Absolutely great ice cream! A lot of special kinds to get here with support from the friendly staff. For 3€ you get the “small ice cream”, which are two big scoops. The pastries look good as well, but we have not eaten any.
Johannes R — Google review
Stick to their pistachio flavor and you will not disappoint. It is rich and creamy, not too sweet. As someone who travel a lot and tried many gelatos in different places, I can say their pistachio flavor is among the best I have tried. The berry flavor however, is a bit too sweet and I don't recommend. Their waiting line is a bit disorganized - you need to get a ticket first before you can ask for any flavors, which is not obvious for the new customers. If you don't have a ticket then you get kicked to the end of the waiting line, and waste a lot of time.
Skywalker F — Google review
A wide variety of delicious ice cream flavors – I loved it a lot! The pasticciotto is the best in Puglia – it's truly something special and a must-try! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Espresso bar
Caffè Alvino is a popular spot in Piazza Sant'Oronzo, offering a lively outdoor terrace with views of the Roman amphitheater and other historical landmarks in Lecce. Visitors can savor local specialties like caffe in ghiaccio con latte di mandorla (espresso with ice and almond milk) while admiring the majestic stone Sedile and the statue of St. Oronzo from the Baroque period.
A Lecce classic. We had two caffe leccese and one rustico (9 EUR in total). Both the coffee and the rustico were really good. The coffee was a bit strong (I like it that way though) and the rustico had much more bechamel and less mozzarella than others, which was a positive aspect for me but it depends on taste. It is a bit on the pricey side but considering the location (literally in the center of the main square) it makes sense.
Martín S — Google review
Nice spot for a break — perfect for coffee and some local sweets. It was a bit cloudy when we visited, so we decided to grab a few treats to take away. Still a lovely little stop!
Uraiwan S — Google review
We stopped by while walking around Lecce and we’re so glad we did. We tried some local specialties and everything was delicious. Finished off with gelato, which was honestly one of the best we’ve had. Friendly service and a lovely spot to take a break — highly recommend if you’re in the area!

It was our first time trying Lecce’s famous pasticciotto, rustico, and caffé Leccese. We loved them! Highly recommend
Jade C — Google review
We decided to have breakfast here because it looked like they offered local products. Nice terrace right next to an amphitheater, homemade pastries, really good coffee, and quick service. Very local, exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the city again.
Adrian A — Google review
Great choice of deserts! Tried some, and they were all great, especially little canolli. Also, very good coffee. Quite full, but managed to get a table inside fairly quickly
Miha P — Google review
DO NOT ENTER ! this place is dangerous, you might want to never leave !!!! If heaven had a coffee shop, it would be Caffé Alfino. I came for a quick caffeine fix… and ended up questioning all my life choices up until that moment. Why haven’t I been living here?! Their caffè leccese? Liquid poetry. Espresso meets almond milk and they fall in love in your mouth. With lots of ice, I don’t even like sugar in my coffee, but every sip of this coffee sends me to heaven. I tried caffè lecchese from another place… no comparison. This one by faaar the best. And the sweets? Oh, the sweets. I don’t know what kind of wizardry is happening in that kitchen, but one bite in and I was ready to write a love letter to a pastry. I almost proposed to a fruttone salentino. The staff are so friendly, I’m convinced they’re trying to adopt me. Honestly, if they offered me a loyalty card or a room upstairs, I’d say yes. Highly recommend. 12/10. Will return. Might never leave.

Alle due Corti is a traditional trattoria owned by Giorgio and Marinella Grassi, offering a menu featuring Salento cuisine and handmade pasta. The historic trattoria serves classic dishes such as fava bean puree with cicoria, handmade orecchiette with broccoli rabe pesto, aubergine cucole (meatballs), lasagna ncannulata, and lamb with onions.
Fantastic place. You can learn to cook real traditional dishes from professionals. Great atmosphere like visiting your own long not seen family. Highly recommended for people who are interested in food and cooking. Many thanks for great time we had here in April.
Marcin O — Google review
We were a party of six and had a great dinner. We had a 930 reservation which the owner called us to tell us our table is ready so we didn’t have to wait inside and we could walk around town when we did get in. They seemed a little overwhelmed and took a while to take our order. Get us our wine, but it was worth the weight. The food was delicious so many appetizers would highly recommend checking this place out.
Darrell R — Google review
Here at Alle Due Corti we had a fantastic experience trying authentic local dishes in the best way possible. The ingredients were fresh, the food was hot and the people serving us were extremely warm and friendly and even were giving recommendations on food. It was our best experience in Lecce exploring the local cuisine.
Kristian O — Google review
We had the absolute pleasure of dining here two nights in a row — and if that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what does! The food is a true celebration of traditional Italian cooking, each dish bursting with depth, authenticity, and the kind of flavors that linger in your memory long after the meal. Every bite feels like a love letter to Italy’s culinary heritage. Equally remarkable is the genuine hospitality. The team welcomed us with such warmth and sincerity that we felt more like guests in a family home than customers in a restaurant. We will definitely be coming back again — this gem has become a highlight of our trip.
Mun L — Google review
The food here is just incredible – real Puglian cooking, full of flavour, tradition and olive oil. Everything was fresh and homemade, like something you’d expect to be served in a local family kitchen. The staff were so warm and friendly, making us feel completely at home. You can tell this is a family-run place where they truly care about what they serve and how they welcome you, definitely don’t miss this if you want authentic cuisine!
Michalis M — Google review
Authentic and so so delicious! We loved it here! Would recommend this restaurant if you want to try tasty local Leccese cuisine!!!
Sophie Z — Google review
We had a fantastic meal, enjoying the orchiette pasta and the codfish with parsley at a simple, family table. The food was hearty, homestyle, and incredibly flavorful. The whole restaurant had a familiar, cozy atmosphere. What truly made the experience was the service: it was so friendly it felt like being hosted by a family member! Georgia and her team are delightful, and I would definitely recommend this for a southern Italian craving. We had wine two entrées and dessert which totaled €48.
NS — Google review
A great experience. We didn't book a table, so, the owner proposed to shared a big table in the middle of the restaurant with other guests. It was a good way to discover the local cuisine. I recommand the antipasti that were really good and generous.

IL PIZZICOTTO is a casual restaurant known for its wide variety of pizza slices and beers. The place offers a selection of tasty bites, with notable options like potato and truffle cream, and mortadella and stracciatella. The staff are multilingual and eager to guide customers through the toppings. One of the highlights is the crispness of the pizza base, complemented by well-balanced traditional and creative toppings.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best pizza in Lecce, great quality, fair prices! Il Pizzicotto is hands down the best pizza spot we’ve found in Lecce! We tried a Quattro Formaggi with walnuts and honey, as well as a Diavola – both were absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the ingredients were super fresh and high-quality. The sweet and savory mix of cheese, honey, and walnuts was outstanding, and the Diavola had just the right level of heat. Prices depend on the weight of each slice, typically between €2 and €4, but for this quality, it's totally worth it. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and a great selection of pizza varieties. We’re definitely coming back tomorrow, highly recommended! 🍕🔥
Oliver K — Google review
Nice resting place while touring Lecce old town.large selection of thin crust pizzas.taste really good. Prices are per kg depending on pizza type. 2 little slice of pizza + 1 coca cola costed 8,10 euros, looked a bit pricey to me but you decide :)
Burak C — Google review
We were really looking forward to delicious pizzas but sadly the Bianca pizzas were too cheesy/greasy. The base around the corners were so good but the actual pizza was so hard to eat, I managed two slices. I hate throwing food away but I couldn’t eat anymore.
Catherine N — Google review
Good pizza with a great variety, ready to go by the slice...or by the "scissor cut". It is a take away place with a couple of tables in the street and good beer.
Gregg W — Google review
Definitely the best pizza I've ever tasted. The tomatoes are utterly delicious! The bread is just right. The ingredients are fresh. The price is insanely cheap! I love everything about it!

Phenomenal pizza at a fair price. The dreadlock waiter was super nice and spoke very good English to help us order.
Adam N — Google review
A very good place to eat a tasteful pizza, atmosphere is very nice, and also the promotion for students is great
Bogdan P — Google review
Went here twice while staying in Lecce as it was so good. We noticed it was the busiest place around while exploring the area near our apartment with a handful of tables outside. There was a few trays of different pizzas and we chose a few different ones. The focaccia-like base was light and had been well-proved with a variety of good quality toppings both with tomato and non-tomato bases. They also had a range of great craft beers. We dined for just around €16 which is a total bargain. Highly recommend

Marco L — Google review
(Translated by Google) We visited Pasticceria De Leo a few weeks ago on a quiet afternoon, on the recommendation of a friend. And thank goodness she recommended it! The place is small but welcoming, with that retro charm that immediately puts you at ease. We were particularly struck by the enormous balcony with its kilometer-long window display, overflowing with sweets even though we arrived rather late. A sign that dessert is a mission here, not a fallback. We sampled some pasticciotti, including a pistachio one that was breathtaking, and a fruttone, a specialty we'd never tried before. The verdict? A feast of flavor. The pasticciotto was unlike any other: soft and crumbly pastry, with a full and rounded flavor, and an intense and velvety pistachio cream. The fruttone? A revelation. We would have gladly had seconds, three... maybe even four. The staff was truly kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to offer advice without being intrusive. The prices are excellent for the quality offered. In conclusion, of all the pastry shops we've visited in Lecce so far, De Leo's is rightfully among the best. We'll definitely be back, perhaps next time in the morning, to savor everything fresh from the oven. Just thinking about it... our mouths are watering. Highly recommended at any time of day. Solo a pensarci… ci viene l’acquolina in bocca.

L'angolino di Via Matteotti is a small and colorful space located in the alleys leading from Piazza Sant'Oronzo to the famous Basilica of Santa Croce. It offers a chic and gourmet charm, making it an ideal place to taste the traditional local sandwich called "puccia." This soft and hollow sandwich, originating in the 1970s, serves as a perfect container for a wide selection of typical local ingredients.
The waiter were so nice and gave me some tips in order to enjoy fully le Puccie. I had the special max mariola, It was so good! The mozzarella with the veggies and the salty touch from the anchovies, perfect! The waiter advise me to get the specialità con carne di cavallo, It was good as well! But my favorite remains Special Max Mariola

Unfortunately, this was our least favourite Puccia in Lecce - and we’ve tried three others. The bread was good but the fillings/ingredients used were ok. Staff were excellent though!

Very very cute experience! Quick, delicious and kind, we really enjoyed our lunch! I added the prices and photos of L'italiana and La Lecesse. We liked them both!!!
Melisa Ş — Google review
A must try while in Lecce. The "puccia" is a Puglia classic and this may be one of the most popular places where to try it. The bread was perfect. I had the horse meat puccia and it was outstanding. I enjoyed every single bite of it. My girlfriend had the meatball one and it was really good too. Super filling lunch for just 8 EUR, and high quality ingredients. Also the staff is amazing: super kind and they transmit really good vibes!
Martín S — Google review
Listen, I was so pumped for my first puccia, but... I got the vegetariana here and it didn’t really live up to the hype. It was just alright. I like the bread but it kinda just tasted like a whole lot of nothing with cime smothering it all. Can’t lie. I’m a bit disappointed. But maybe this is just my review of pucce in general...
A C — Google review
I discovered this little gem by accident while walking through the streets of Lecce in search of something to eat. I opted for the Max Mariola Puccia and absolutely loved it. More filling than bread, which I always appreciate, as it's often the opposite in other places. Fresh, juicy and tasty produce, friendly staff, quiet side street - I'll definitely go back!

During the last 2 weeks in Lecce we visited about 4 times the Martinucci pastry shop (but who's counting?). The pasticciotto was absolutely impeccable every time, we tried the chocolate one, the pistachio-cream one, but the traditional was our favourite. The cannolo and fig pastry were also delicious, they went great with the caffé leccese.
Fanni K — Google review
The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent, truly top-tier in both taste and hospitality. However, I was extremely disappointed by the state of the restroom. For a restaurant of this caliber and price range, having such poor restroom conditions , including no running water to wash hands , is simply unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as it really impacts the overall dining experience.

I remember getting about 6 scoops (chocolate, caramel, tiramisu, ferrero, pistachio and coconut I think.) There is a terrace with old fashioned tables and chairs (metal) where you can observe the main square. I noticed that this place was getting some sort of occassional police checks but overall a positive experience.

I do not recommend this café. The staff was rude and unfriendly. We were handed the menu but didn’t even have time to look at it — the waiter stood over us waiting for an order immediately. The ice cream was served in a broken glass (!) — very dangerous, you could easily cut yourself. The matcha latte was completely tasteless. The waiters don’t care at all about customer satisfaction. They know tourists will come because of the convenient location, so they make no effort to create a pleasant atmosphere — on the contrary, they completely ruined our experience. The waitress even mocked us for what we wanted to order, so I opened Google and showed her a picture of an iced coffee with ice cream, because apparently this woman didn’t even know what that was and claimed it wasn’t possible to get it there. An absolute disaster. Thank you, never again.

We stopped for coffee and pastry. Having visited other Martinucci locations, this location was great, and both food and coffee were better than elsewhere.

All we have tried during our three visits was of great quality. But watch out when you sit down and order something that is usually of a good price. We ordered a portion of gelato with two flavours and whipped cream which came down to 12!!! Euros and another cup with two scoops of sorbet which we were charged 5! Euros for. Next to us people eating on tables with gelato ordered at the counter for 1/3 of the price. Not cool.

Cioccolati Gourmet is a must-visit for chocolate lovers in Lecce. The shop features a massive wall of liquid chocolate, reminiscent of Willy Wonka's factory. Visitors can indulge in a variety of treats such as waffles, crepes, cones, and delicious ice creams with toppings like Nutella, pistachio sauce, fresh chocolate, and flamed meringue.
This elegant gem in Lecce turned our casual snack stop into an unforgettable indulgence! Initially, we just popped in for a quick bite before exploring the city, but we were so captivated by the enchanting atmosphere and mouthwatering aroma that we stayed for an extensive tasting session. The service was impeccable, and every offering was an absolute delight! We savored a spectrum of treats, starting with their decadent specialty chocolate and coffee drinks that were pure chocolate indulgences. The house-made pastries were an irresistible combination of flaky perfection and rich, flavorful fillings. And just when we thought we couldn't be more impressed, we returned later for some of their heavenly gelato, which was the perfect way to end our day. Each bite was a testament to the high quality and care put into their products. No matter what you choose, you’re in for a delectable experience that will have you yearning for more. Trust me, this place is a must-visit for any chocolate, pasty or gelato lover!

What a lovely place with lovely waiters! The hot chocolate I drank (CIOCCOLATA CALDA AL LATTE) was heaven on Earth. I also tried the crepes which were nice and thick, and generous with Nutella. I recommend 100%!

Really enjoyed this place! We were served by Antonio and Francesco, who were super fun and very helpful! We had two chocolate and hazelnut ice creams. They were super delicious and one was made without coffee and with ginseng instead, which was an interesting and perfect substitute! The chocolate here is delicious, and the staff are so accommodating! We will be back!

Nestled in the heart of the city, Pasticceria Luca Capilungo is a must-visit for pastry lovers. Known for its unique take on pasticciotti, this charming bakery offers a delightful twist with a secret custard recipe that owner Luca refuses to disclose. The pastries are baked to perfection, achieving an irresistible golden crust that balances crunchy and crumbly textures. What sets them apart is their distinct baking method, which introduces subtle bitter notes alongside sweetness.
Came 20 minutes before they closed and they were busy with lots of customers. I wish slightly that I had come earlier when the pasticciotto was fresh. The crust was thicker than I preferred but the filling was great.

Amazing Pasticciotto and Burgundy under one roof? Really something special. Luca and his team serve the finest pastries and great coffee in a friendly and efficient manner. Surprisingly, there are also coolers of high-end wines and bubbles that you might check out. I scored two bottles of White Burg to change things up. But maybe get a Gaja and pair it with a great aged steak from across the street!

Pasticceria Pinti is a charming Neapolitan bakery located in Lecce. Despite its non-local origins, it offers an impressive array of Neapolitan cakes and sweets that are sure to delight any dessert lover. The interior features a simple yet tasteful design with neo-antique Italian furniture. Visitors praise the reasonable prices and wide selection of pastries, including chocolate pastries, cream puffs, meringues, and more.
I stumbled upon this café/pastry shop and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the warmth and effort the owner has put into making the space welcoming and cosy. This same care is reflected in the quality of their pastries. I ordered a coffee, a Nuvole, an apple tart, and a large coda di aragosta "lobster tail" filled with chocolate and crema. The Nuvole was slightly dry for my taste, but since it’s similar to a brioche, dunking it into my coffee made it just right. The apple tarte was served beautifully warm, and the coda di aragosta was delightfully fresh, crispy, and perfectly croquante. The service was both friendly and efficient, adding to the overall experience. Just keep in mind that on weekends, they tend to get very busy, so service might slow down a bit. All in all, it’s a charming spot worth visiting.

My favourite pasticcerie in Lecce. There is really big choice of pastries all kinds. Even at 22h, they are fresh and warm. Honest recommandation for this place! The service is amazing, no matter how crowded the cafe is, but special thanks to Italian charming man who works there and had a patience to explain the creams in pastries every night we come 😂 Thank you very much, we will come again when we visit Lecce next time 🩷

Really nice bakery shop near the Hilton Garden Inn in Lecce. Open all day. Got some pastries and lunch before leaving the area. Did takeaway, but they have plenty of seating inside. Friendly staff who speak basic English and can describe whats in their items, etc. Ended up getting a nice portion of a Prosciutto/cheese topped Focaccia bread, several different flavor rolls that mainly included green/black olives, sweet potato, and spinach, green beans with tuna/cheese, a rustico leccese (with different grain), and a focaccia barese (with yellow tomatoes). I could do without the green beans and this location's version of a rustico leccese, but everything else was really good. Would definitely eat from here again.

(Translated by Google) It was recommended to me by friends for the quality and deliciousness of the pasticciotti. A huge disappointment, let's go in order: First of all, the pasticciotti aren't on display; they come from the bakery wrapped in paper, so you can't see them. When I got home, I was surprised: it was burnt on the surface. When I cut it, the cream was hard, overly biscuity, overly sweet, and I deduced it was reheated the day before. Cakes are definitely the highlight, but venturing into the pastry shop is something else. I'd like to clarify a few of your inaccuracies. First, I found the door open, and there wasn't a closed sign on it, so the pastry shop was open to the public. According to you, the pasticciotti was warm. Nothing could be further from the truth; it was cold, the cream was hard, and the surface was burnt at the edges. If a pasticciotti is freshly baked, the cream is warm, soft, and creamy. Third, if I pay 2 euros for a pasticciotto, it must be excellent. I won't allow you to judge my expertise, because you don't know me. I've been eating pasticciotti for 50 years. How long have you been making them? Fourth, I came to tell you about it after about an hour. I would have expected an apology, which I would have accepted, or at least to be told it was a mistake, and it can happen, and I'm aware of that. But still claiming that pasticciotto was freshly baked is unbearable. Tengo a precisare alcune sue inesattezze.

(Translated by Google) An experience that if it were not for the inconvenience and expense would be ridiculous. Ordered two particular panettone, it took over a week to make them. The first taken directly as soon as opened to throw: it looked like homemade bread with little filling. The chocolate glaze falling apart. I pointed out to the saleswoman, who replied with disdain that for them it was the first time they had prepared it. However it cost 40 euros. The second sent to Turin by priority courier, cost 20 euros. To date, 8 days have passed since the shipment and never arrived. If it was to be thrown away fresh, let alone what it will be like if it ever arrives. I went twice to talk to the manager, but he was always busy kneading, I recognize it needs practice. Total expenditure 100 euros. I don't think I'll get the money back, definitely not the bad figures with the people I sent the gifts to. I hope my experience is a warning to others. A note: the Since 1977 definition is false, the management has changed and there is no comparison (Original) Un esperienza che se non fosse stata per il disagio e per la spesa sarebbe ridicola. I was shocked seeing as I had guests, however in the end this cake emerges, aesthetically ugly ugly ugly, covered in chocolate, all smudged around the edges, half melted (to keep in mind that there was no air conditioning in the room and it was dying from the heat) I was very nervous, it was now late and I couldn't leave it (I would have gladly done so)... I PAID and I remember before leaving that I had asked for the candles heavenly as my son is a boy (plus you charge €3), I don't check them, the time comes for the cake, I take them out and see them yellow with red dots, the cake is doughy with no flavour... no attention given to my request. NEVER AGAIN! (Original) MAI PIÙ! (Translated by Google) The choice of desserts is very vast and the quality is truly excellent. You can see the care taken in the ingredients and workmanship. The coffee is also very particular, with an intense blend. The staff at the counter and at the bar are always very friendly and helpful and the prices are correct and average. The only flaw is that sometimes the "new" pastry pieces are not offered again except for a limited period (see the croissant with coffee dough and Chantilly cream, in my opinion truly excellent and innovative). For the rest the place is a guarantee. Also worth trying is the artisanal ice cream! The dough is more reminiscent of oil rolls than brioches. Here either you don't know what a husbandzzo is or you don't even care about defrosting a product before selling it. Furthermore, €4 for a Husband would be excessive in Milan, let alone paying it in Lecce for a frozen Husband. It's been a long time since we noticed a decline in the quality of the products offered by this pastry shop, but after today a nice cross and we'll never see each other again. You don't make fun of customers like this. (Original) Maritozzo impossibile. (Translated by Google) I have come to this bar several times, good pastry shop regarding almond pastries and cartridges. The breakfasts, however, should be adjusted a bit, croissant with too much double dough, it is heavy. Good pasticciotti but really sweet creams, better the one with lemon which mitigates the sweetness a little. The rotisserie will definitely be the next thing I try also because the sandwiches they make have a very good impression and look very good.

(Translated by Google) I decided to have breakfast at this place after discovering that it would be the first on Lecce and offer the famous square croissant, the crubik. I appreciate the desire to evolve and differentiate itself from other bars by offering a product that is actually very simple but capable of stimulating customers' curiosity due to the particularity of the shape, but honestly, it didn't drive me crazy for several reasons: it is much smaller than to the original, the dough is more similar to that of a brioche while the real crubik is born with the croissant dough, furthermore it is filled only with particular and extremely sweet creams such as Raffaello, lotus and wafer, completely ruining a dessert that has potential. An advice would be to give the possibility to fill it as you want, or even to leave it empty, I would have appreciated it much more. For the rest, I tried their cream croissant and it was very good. The location of Pasticceria Carmelino was a bit challenging to find, but it was worth the effort. The staff were knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. It’s impossible not to fall in love with a pasticceria like this, especially when it’s still run by the sweetest couple—even at their age! The husband is 90 years young, and his wonderful wife is right there by his side ❤️ As I walked by, I couldn’t resist peeking inside to see what this charming, authentic shop had to offer. The display was filled with homemade sweet delicacies, each looking more tempting than the next. What made this visit even more special was the kindness of the lady. Without knowing me or trying to sell anything, she generously offered me a few pieces to try, simply because she wanted me to experience their treats. It’s rare to come across such genuine warmth and hospitality, and moments like these are what make a place truly unforgettable.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of indulging in a delectable cake from Pasticceria Durante Di Durante Luigina to celebrate a special occasion. The cake was truly exquisite, crafted with exceptional quality that surpassed the typical offerings found at other pastry shops. Unlike most cakes that tend to be overly sweet, this creation allowed the flavors of its various ingredients to shine through.
I might simply go back to Lecce (1500 miles) to eat cakes from this shop. About a 10 minute walk from the city walls, where only locals tread (it seems) is this paradise (if you like cake/baked goods). Flaky almond pastry and light custard, served against a baroque sunshine filled morning might not be beaten. This is a really charming functional bakery with sensational offerings.

(Translated by Google) I bought a piece of apple pie, and it was very dry, probably from the day before. I didn't like the taralli I tried with raisins; they were burnt and therefore rancid.

Panificio Santoronzo is a remarkable bakery in Lecce that offers outstanding, delectable, and enticing products. Their traditional Pizzi Leccesi is an absolute must-try for anyone looking to experience the authentic flavors of the region. Situated conveniently near the historic center, this bakery prides itself on its freshly made pasticciotto and other traditional treats.
Typical bakery with traditional food like pasticciotto, very close to the historic center of Lecce. Everything is freshly made. I highly recommand

(Translated by Google) Unleavened focaccia (€15), with accompanying stomach aches. Adding insult to injury: a terrible impression at work.

(Translated by Google) Great bakery! We tried the focaccias, the Lecce laces and the take-away first courses, all very good. Helpful and kind staff, absolutely worth a try! (Original) Ottimo panificio!

(Translated by Google) Everything was delicious, from bread to focaccia, from desserts to savory dishes. Never a flaw in taste, never an overly accentuated flavor in the frying or a sloppiness in the preparation of less refined dishes. And above all, alongside the traditional Salento dishes which always retain their incredible specificity - coming from a Piedmontese who has been savoring them for fifty years - sometimes it happens to the luckiest ones to be able to taste other dishes which, I can say, awaken memories and gustatory joys in you that you thought you forgot. Today I tried the gnocchi which in terms of softness, workmanship and delicacy had nothing to envy of those my mother made in the Cuneo area and seasoned with a Mediterranean mussel sauce, which I would never have bet on. Sublime. Sublimi. Andrea
