The Italian restaurant "Terra Madre" is a charming place which cultivates many ingredients directly on site. Located in a beautiful trullo just steps from the delightful Plaza Sacramento, the culinary attention of the restaurant and simple, regional food full of flavor grown locally is highly appreciated. Options for savory dishes like stuffed artichokes, handmade pasta with broccoli, anchovies and pistachios with dessert including delicious crumble cake full of fresh farm-produced cheese are available.
I saw some bad reviews, but to us (my wife and I) this was the best meal we had in Italy. And we came to Italy a few times before. The food was amazing, it almost made me consider to become vegetarian (kidding of course). I definitely suggest the tasting menu. 7 dishes, every single one was a different culinary trip. We are considering to revisit the area just to eat here again. Wow!

Solid 4, food is good but overall is highly priced for what it offers. Don’t expect fine dining, rather a beautiful and tasty sequence of veggie entrances with fresh ingredients and simple preparation. Wine degustation was the biggest flaw. Charging 16€ for 2 glasses of average wine is too much. There were good wine options by the bottle, but for pairing there was only 1 type of each style, both red and white ones were nothing special to justify charging 8€ each. I asked the eggs as complimentary dish (10€ on top of the 35€ veggie set), and it came a very simple, slightly overcooked fried eggs. You pay for the experience, but would not charge so much for those complements.

Trust me - make your reservation and go here!! Fantastic meal and service! We sat outside in the back by the Chef’s garden. Super romantic! We chose the 7 vegetarian tasty menu plus one main dish. The main dishes did include ones with a meat protein. The vegetarian dishes are made with produce from the chef’s garden. Every dish was awesome with some highlights that we just loved, including a fried egg with smoked burrata and tomatoes & cucumbers, and a custard & cherry tart. If Trattoria Terra Madre could ship that tart to our house in the U.S., we would be super appreciative :-) Of course I forgot to take a photo of these two dishes that we loved but here are photos some of the veggie dishes. We would truly return back to this delicious place.

We arrived just over 9pm while the restaurant is supposed to close at 10pm, they're very kind to welcome us, provide us enough time to consider what to order. We ordered one set of 7 vegetables plus 1 dish to share between two of us, and we were super full! The house wine is also very reasonable, enjoyed the vibe from this beautiful restaurant

Casual dining room overlooking backyard vegetable garden. They just do 7 vegetable tasting menu (35€) + choice of 8 meat and pasta dishes (10€) Fantastic dinner! Spinach salad with pomegranates, beet shreds and crunchy fava beans in balsamic and local extra virgin olive oil. Chick pea puree.Peppers w/ olives capers breadcrumbs. Swiss chard with cherry tomatoes. Smoked eggplant parmigiana Stewed onion with sunflower seeds and marmalade. Carrot flan. Had pasta w mushrooms and pumpkin sauce.

After travelling through Puglia for a week, my friends and I were kind of done with pasta and meat. This trattoria was the perfect cure for that with the wonderful 7 course veggie tasting menu. We loved every course, so thoughtfully created with seasonal fresh produce. Also the custard and cherry tart may have been one of the best desserts I have ever had! The ambience and space is also super bright and beautiful with a strong farm to table vibe. 10/10 - would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and eat there again!

Don’t miss out. Delicious food. Especially if you want vegetarian. Beautiful vegetable garden. Farm to table. They have their own farm a few km away.

We were recommended to visit Terre Madre and it did not disappoint. The service was outstanding, atmosphere - relaxing and the ingredients were super fresh. They have a herb/vegetable garden which guests have a full view of. In terms of flavour, there were a couple of hits and misses. Overall though it was a very memorable meal. Vegetarian friendly as most of their dishes are pure veggies only. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Ristorante Il Pinnacolo is located in the charming streets of Alberobello, offering traditional Italian cuisine and seafood at affordable prices. The restaurant is set within a well-maintained complex of trulli and features a beautiful garden for summer dining. Guests can enjoy splendid views of the town's trulli from the lovely terrace and rooftop garden while savoring classic dishes from the Itria Valley.
We had a local person’s recommendation and we were so glad better might not have found this place. It was a former olive press business I believe. Being in a lower level below the street gave it much more space. It was magical eating in this historic atmosphere. The food was wonderful and the staff loved sharing the food culture of the area. I would recommend the sample appetizer. Every item was delicious and well presented.

1. Pros: food was good, more than a tourist trap restaurant. they give you variety of antipasti plates. See the attached photos 2. Cons: they don’t answer the phone, opening time was 12pm but actually opened the restaurant at 12:10pm. Waited at the door outside for 30min. We just wanted to make sure if we can dine in without reservation, waived our hands to ask the person (seemed like owner) but he ignored us for 30 min.
S P — Google review
Dined here for dinner on 15 August 2025. We were a group of 6 people and had previously made a reservation for a 10pm table. Even though we had a booking, we still waited at least 30 minutes to be seated. The reason for this wait was due to the table from the previous service not having finished yet - we didn’t mind waiting. However, the service we received was absolutely shocking. When we placed our order for food, we were asked if we would like the dishes to be brought out all together or if we would like the starters to come out first, then the mains. We opted for the latter but our preference was clearly not taken into consideration / completed ignored. We were STILL EATING the starters/appetizers and there was absolutely no space left on the table for the next course…but the waiters approached our table, bringing the dishes for the next course. They could clearly see that we were not finished AND that there was no room on the table for them to place the next dishes…but they just stood there waiting. One of the waiters started walking back to the kitchen with a pasta dish, which I’m assuming they intended on leaving there until we were ready. Not sure where the disconnect was but I find this to be completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We felt like we were being rushed throughout the night. If the reason was because they were planning on closing the restaurant soon…they should have sat us down at 10pm, as per our reservation, not 30-40 minutes later. If we had been late to our reservation and they were rushing to close, then fair enough but in our instance, that was not the case. The food was INCREDIBLE though, 5/5 ⭐️ It’s a shame that the service was awful.
Joey T — Google review
I just walked in to this place as the restaurant that I wanted to go were full (apparently most of the restaurant will be full during summer, so better to book the restaurant that you wanted to visit). Even this restaurant was full at the terrace, I just grabbed a seat indoor as it was still empty, after sometimes even indoor were full and people walked in just have to wait. Come back to the service, typical Italian service, where restaurants was very busy, lack of staffs and which you just get ignored in the beginning, I just need to decide what I have to eat, dont ask any questions, make it quick and place the order (that's why I rated 4 stars) I had the Orecchiette pasta with turnip top and anchovies, I found only one piece of anchovy, pasta was tasteless but it was good portion and hot, for me acceptable as I was hungry, I also ordered the famous Bombette (fresh pork roll), however it was very undercooked, nearly raw, i wonder maybe this is their cooking style, I don't want to make a scene, I just ate the cooked part outside and left the raw part inside on the plate, where it was tasteless as well i have to get salt and pepper to enhance the seasoning. I also ordered half bottle of white wine, where they left the bottle on the table without putting in the ice, I don't want to complaint also as everyone are busy running around, I just want to finish my dinner and go... Overall it was just an one time experience, I don't think so I will come back as Alberobello are too touristic where it loss the truly meaning of service in the restaurant too.
Chiang K — Google review
Nice indoor atmosphere. Good service. But the food didn’t meet expectations. Linguine is small portion. Pork chop is hard to chew, tasteless ((even after we added chili oil and pepper…)) we were disappointed with the tiramisu — it had very little flavor, the ladyfingers were hard…

Very good food. Got Tagliolini al pistacchio, these were great. Someone from our group got Orecchiette alla barese. All the food was great. Service was also great. Fast sitting at the table. Totally recommend Menu available at https://www.leggimenu.it/menu/75r4beqm7lp1#cat-81675

What a great gem ! It opens late but definitely worth it. One of the best pizza i had in my life. All textures available, crunchy, soft and the perfume of the fresh baked pizza is simply amazing. We also had the pistacchio pasta, wonderful. Strongly recommend this ristorante to everyone.

This intimate eatery prides itself on using seasonal ingredients to create authentic dishes that reflect the rich flavors of Puglia. Guests can indulge in an impressive antipasto selection featuring 25 different delicacies, perfect for those embarking on a walking tour through this picturesque region.
Definitely the place to go when in the area beautiful dining rooms wonderfully plated and tasty dishes along with incredibly good wine service we didn’t expect this in such a touristy town. Looking forward to returning.

One of the best restaurants of Alberobello, situated in a real Trullo with refined plates and cuisine, very clean and with well equipped tables. The dishes were all tasty especially la pasta ed i contorni! Nice location just in the city center!

Very nice atmosphere, was advised by a local agency and there was no regret. You have to book at least one week in advance. Food was very tasty and there was an option for the little one (3years) that they launched immediately when we arrived.
Isabelle M — Google review
It’s pretty impressive. The lobster is cooked like a salad, and the tomato is really juicy. In honesty, the dessert is very bad, not like normal ice cream. Overall, I still recommend this restaurant.
周綺綺 — Google review
Service was pretty slow and we were relegated to a table far away all to ourselves, and away from the bustle of the rest of the crowd oddly. It was hard to get the waiter's attention as a result. They had some unique dishes which were alright. Some hits and misses - we didn't enjoy the raviolo but for the rest of the dishes, we thought they were good. Dessert was fantastic though.
S. F — Google review
3/5 Stars. Decent place. All around quite average; food, service. Location is fun though, its inside trullo. Pasta orecchiette was ok, not really al dente, and ravioli was seriously overcooked.
Edorass — Google review
Il Trullo d’Oro was a lovely surprise. The food was good, but what really stood out was the purple dessert decorated with flowers, beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. It felt special and unique, definitely the highlight of the evening. Cozy atmosphere and attentive service made the experience even more enjoyable.
Nik — Google review
Overrated. Pleasant atmosphere. No olive oil, vinegar or salt & pepper on the tables. Pasta dishes are quite small and not very flavoursome - lacking seasoning. Toilets are very run down, and mostly broken, or missing toilet seats. Very limited range of non alcoholic drinks.

Ristorante L'Aratro Di Laera Domenico is a cozy dining spot located in one of the trulli, offering traditional Apulian dishes and regional specialties prepared by chef Domenico Laera. The restaurant features a welcoming and rustic atmosphere with exposed brick walls, dark-wood beams, and a summer patio. As a certified Slow Food restaurant, it emphasizes local ingredients in its seasonal dishes.
Cosy spot, top tier service, well catered to allergies and freshly made pasta! Finished off with a delicious ice cream dessert and some sugar & cinnamon coated almonds too
Harshae R — Google review
Passed through Alberobello for lunch, stopped into this restaurant for a meal. We shared the cavatelli pasta and grilled sausage. The pasta was pretty average, the cavatelli pasta itself wasn't really cavatelli, it was some other overcooked pasta shape and the sauce was very watery almost like a soup. The taste wasn't there either, quite disapointing. The sausage was fine, but at a price tag of 20 euro was a bit of a joke for what was on the plate.
Samuel P — Google review
The service is impeccable! It can’t be beat. They are friendly and attentive without hovering. The wine service was informed and entertaining. The food was served promptly, hot, and all at once. The meals were heavenly spiced and featured foods of the region. We enjoyed it so much we had dined there our second night. They some how recognized us , it is very busy, and comped us a free limoncello. The decor is lovely and warm, and uniquely situated inside a couple of Trullio. Definitely call ahead- they book up quickly.
Chere S — Google review
The service was good, though we arrived close to the end of lunchtime, so it naturally slowed down a little. The sommelier’s wine service was particularly memorable. The way he presented and poured the wine felt like a charming little ceremony, very entertaining to watch. The dishes are classic to the region and prepared in a traditional style. However, the mixed grill main looked a bit rough which surprised me. Overall, it’s still a lovely spot to experience authentic regional cuisine with a warm atmosphere and thoughtful service.
Sasha W — Google review
Good location and nice service but that doesn’t make up for the overpriced tourist food. The other reviews were right. Skip it if you can find another place.

Ristorante "La Nicchia" is located in a storied, beehive-shaped trullo house typical of Alberobello's traditional trullis. The restaurant offers a cozy dining room and a covered, converted barnyard space for semi-al fresco dining. It features seasonal Puglia cuisine with locally produced cheeses like burrata, mozzarella, and stracciatella. The menu includes local meats, fresh pasta dishes, succulent seafood recipes, and traditional desserts.
Two families 4 adults with 4 children went in on Wednesday evening and had a great night, dinner, service and fantastic local atmosphere. Definitely the best restaurant with the best food we tried in our 5 days stay in Puglia. We got free salads and drinks as compliment from our waiter. Prices are valuable for the quality. Will visit again one day. Thank you guys!

One of the best ravioli I have had in Italy! The food was to die for. We could feel a lot of tourists didn’t go there and it felt an authentic experience. On another note, since a lot of people were locals we felt like we were overlooked and it took forever for someone to take our order and for our food to come

Amazing restaurant! All plates and deserts were delicious and the place is great. We stopped here coming from Grotte de Castellana on the way to Alberobello. The Ristorante Fidelio is a restaurant in Alberobello, Italy that specializes in simple, regional cooking. The chef prepares unique dishes such as the appetizer of bresola carpaccio (boiled and salted beef with cheese, rocket, olive oil and lemon), followed by dishes like stuffed mushrooms with cardoncelli (local wild fungi), piglets with porcini mushrooms and pistachios, and finally entrecote steak with local onions.
It was a wonderful evening for us. We went on our wedding anniversary and they showed us every kindness. Everything we ate was wonderful. It was an unforgettable evening. What a great place, excellent menu the food was exceptional and the service you could not have asked for anything more. The owners are so down to earth and visit every table to make sure everything is satisfactory. We were fortunate to find this place, the entrance was not lit to enter the garden with a pond walking up to the restaurant. "Il Poeta Contadino" is a renowned restaurant in Alberobello, offering regional cuisine with a modern twist. The charming ambiance, illuminated by candlelight against ancient stone walls, sets the stage for a refined dining experience. The menu features seasonal dishes that showcase the freshness of local harvests. While the first courses receive high praise, some find the second courses less impressive. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and delightful decor, making it an ideal spot for special occasions or leisurely dinners.
Really nice place to eat some local dishes There are two entries, and like to "menus" or "restaurant style". We went to the "osteria" - which was a bit cheaper and with a wider variety of options. We tried bombette, orecchiette, burrata e capocollo, and scamorzine. Everything was super tasty and nice! We were six, each one dish, with two bottles of water, coffee and one bottle of wine - was around 25€ pp. Amazing quality for the price I would definitely recommend going to the osteria area

Emma was the absolute best waitress to compliment our favorite dinner in Puglia! My husband took our sister and best friend to Alberobello and were fortunate enough to have Emma as our server. We chose to dine in the fine-dining part of the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, Emma's recommendations for wine were spot on, and it felt like we were eating home with the cozy and beautiful atmosphere. Cannot recommend this spot enough and if she is working be sure to request Emma! Thank you so much for the best night on our weekend trip from Rome!

We had an unforgettable meal at this charming restaurant in Alberobello. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming—special thanks to our server, Emma, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made the evening even more enjoyable. Ciro was our waiter for the night, we didn’t look at the menu, just asked for recommendations. It was perfect. The restaurant is divided between the a more traditional style food and a gourmet “fancy” side. Ciro recommended us to stay in the traditional one. We started with an appetizer of “Capocollo and burrata”, followed by “Orecchiette di Grano Arso” (which was amazing and a must try from this restaurant), the “Polpettone” and the “Sbriciolata al limone”. Everything was perfect and I am now left debating if we should drive 2h back to eat there again!

Ristorante La Cantina is a cozy, family-run restaurant located in the vaulted cellar of a 19th-century building designed by the renowned Italian architect Antonio Curri. The warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for simple yet delicious dishes made from local ingredients and inspired by traditional recipes. From tagliolini with mushrooms and chestnuts to fricelli with saffron and capocollo, the menu offers a delightful taste of Puglian cuisine.
The food was delicious and the service was also great. There were several people trying to get a table but the place was packed, so I suggest making a reservation just to be sure. 🤞

If you have plenty of time for lunch, this place is fine, food was not bad. But if not, forget it. After we sat down, it took 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. Then another 20 minutes for the starter, and another 20 just for a pasta. In total, we waited at least 40 minutes to finally eat, without even having to queue. They really need to hire more staff in the kitchen or for service. Overall, that makes the dining experience a bit disappointing.

We were very happy to get a table at lunchtime, anywhere with a decent rating was full. Our food was tasty but the portion sizes were stingy considering the price. We share an antipasto, the burratina was tiny as described, my pasta was good but again not filling. My husband’s pork was again tasty but the fried potatoes were overpriced. The cover charge of €3.50 each for some very dry bread, which we didn’t eat was excessive. We shared a large bottle of fizzy water, the espressos were €2 for a thimble of coffee. La Cantina is a small restaurant and Alberobello is very touristy but €70 is steep, when you leave hungry.

Went to Ristorante La Cantina in Alberobello for lunch without a reservation. They asked us to come back around 2:30, so we did, and ended up waiting about 20 minutes for the staff to clear and set up the tables. It was a slow process since they seemed to spend more time chatting than working. The food was just okay. The orecchiette with ragù was good, but the piece of beef was awful — full of gristle, as you can see in the photos. The potatoes were excellent, though. As for dessert we had the smallest portion of panna cotta I’ve ever seen, honestly kind of funny. Overall, a bit disappointing considering the hype

There are some very good and some stuff which we think needs some improvement😇. We came here to ask for table for 10 people, we understand we need to wait, that was no problem, they told us to come back in 10-20mins. At the end we waited around 40 minutes, maybe even more, before they set us at the table. Food was OK, we ordered some orriechiette with tomato sauce and veal and gorgonzola cheese. I haven't seen piece of veal in my meal. That was 14€. Without cheese this meal is 12€. Primo giorno meal was the best which arrived at our table, that was some delicious veggies. Other meal was lamb skewer, price 16€. It was OK, but depends how lucky you are, one guy got better meat other got more grease. There is also mix skewer and that was OK. We wish they serve regular home made pommes frites instead of chips (6€). Home bianco wine was great and we can recommebd it. At the end dessert tiramisu and cake pasticcioto, thah was 5/5. So place is good, maybe to hype about it.

Ristorante Casa Nova is a charming Italian restaurant located in a historic 1700s olive-oil mill with stone-vault ceilings. The restaurant offers traditional cuisine from Puglia, featuring delectable antipasti like pureed fava beans and chicory or zucchini with Poverella, followed by mouthwatering dishes such as orecchiette pasta with tomatoes and ricotta or oven-baked lamb with potatoes.
Very attentive and friendly staff. The food was very good and the gamberi ravioli is the best pasta we have eaten in Puglia so far. We can also recommend the octopus salad! The wine selection was also explained and the dessert of the day (a "ferrero rocher" ice cream) was delicious. If we visit again, we will have dinner at Casa Nova again.

We went there as a family to celebrate our 15 years wedding anniversary and were very very happy about our experience. The food was amazing, the service excellent and the atmosphere is truly one to remember. Thank you so much for making this a very special event.

Staying nearby in a trullo, we wanted a good meal for the first night. Casa Nova was a good choice. Beautiful charming location and atmosphere, service is efficient and professional. The Burrata and prosciutto is a delicious dish especially kissed by the local olive oil. I enjoyed the filet of beef with green pepper corn sauce. Tender and flavorful meat! Potatoes were delicious as well. My wife enjoyed sausages which were flavorful and well prepared. We ate well.

We could not recommend this place enough! The food and the hospitality were second to none. Our daughter is gluten intolerant and the staff went the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and special. Delicious meals and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant Ristorante "Trullo Dei Sapori" is a great place to enjoy Italian food in the heart of Alberobello. The staff is very friendly and the food is superb, with generous portions. The atmosphere is lovely and the location perfect for a romantic meal.
Very traditional Italian restaurant. Didn't come across as being overly touristy & definitely not contemporary. A little away from the main historic center, but that wasn't a bad thing. When we arrived, it was full of Italian families, so that was a good sign. Fortunately we were able to get a table, despite it being busy. The food was Exceptional! The best Tiramisu ever tasted. As was the attentive service. Highly recommended.

Just traveling through this beautiful town for the night and looked for a good restaurant a bit outside the tourist area. Good reviews so we walked by and secured reservations at 7:00. Good thing! We wanted to order a bottle of the Primitivo wine, but unfortunately, both brands they were out of so we settled for one of those suggestions and it was actually very good. Started off dinner with the local pasta with beef, really good. I had the sausage, although it was good it was a bit undercooked getting towards the center. The grilled veggies were just ok, no seasoning and the shrimp was fine. The service was excellent with 3 gentlemen roaming the floor helping out. Ended up eating inside as the evening was a little bit chilly. When we walked by the restaurant later after our stroll, we noticed that the place was still packed. If you’re in the area, I would recommend trying this place.

Had dinner at Trullo dei Sapori and while the food was pretty good, the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered a plate of orecchiette con cime di rape and then bombette with salsiccia for my second course, both tasty and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the service. From the start, the waiter and waitress seemed to be pushing their own suggestions, even after I clearly said I was after meat, not fish. He kept insisting I go for the fish anyway, which felt a bit pushy. While we were eating, staff stood nearby and watched us closely, which made the whole experience feel pretty uncomfortable. It got worse when the waitress cleared my friend’s olives and dish before I’d even finished my first course, then brought out both of our second plates at the same time. By the end we were full, so we politely declined dessert..but the waitress kept pushing suggestions and eventually asked if she could just bring one out for us to share. Honestly, it all felt a bit too much. The food’s worth trying, but unless the staff ease off a bit and improve their service etiquette, the overall vibe feels more intimidating than enjoyable. Bit of a shame, really.
W W — Google review
The food is very good, but the service is annoying , they came and show you different food plates ( beef , fish ) and if you dont choose something from plates they show you , they are getting angry. Ask you constantly if you want different foods from menu.

We ate here on our seventh day in Puglia. This was the best meal we've eaten on our entire trip and I'd 100% recommend. Before we ordered drinks the waiter asked if we wanted to see the fish, we wondered why, but it made sense later. After deciding we wanted the fish, of course he recommended a bottle of white. We started with the muscle soup, it was delicious. The fish for our main was Orada, it came with potatoes and olives, it was so buttery and perfectly cooked. We had the chef's salad on the side, which was lovely, but honestly we didn't need it, the fish and the shared starter alone was more than enough. The staff were so friendly and really happy to help, despite our lack of Italian. Great experience.
Damien F — Google review
Nice place, but not upfront with their pricing. Fresh fish was delicious and is priced at 6 eur per 100 gram, but they charge a hidden fee of 12 euro for cutting fish in front of you, and aperol spritz is 10 euro per cocktail
Tadas M — Google review
We made a reservation which is recommended. Nice evening out on the terrace. Food and service were great. I had the grilled prawns, which were flavoured and grilled to perfection. My wife had the entrecôte which she also enjoyed. Beware the cheese and meat platter entré. It is huge. Table of 4 next to us dud not finish their mains after sharing one, and a table of 2 next to us had it packed for takeaway. It is a meal on its own and good value. After reading so many bad reviews of restaurants in Alberobello, we were amazed at the quality and price here. €50 for 2 mains and wine.

The heavenly smell of the food draws you inside, where you'll experience great customer service and incredible food in a warm and cozy setting. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including Puccia, Farcia, traditional focaccia, stuffed focaccia, and mozzarella cheese. The friendly staff is knowledgeable about the products and provides fast service.
We ordered 2 big Focapizzas. The price was 10 euro each. One is with chicken and the other one is with smoked cheese and vegetables. We’re traveling all across Italy, and I can say that this was one of the best pizzas we’ve had—no exaggeration.

Hole in the wall tiny place but the focacceria sandwich is amazing the bread is very fresh and hot, crusty, good chewy texture and delicious meats/veggies stuffed inside, really hits the spot after walking the area. Just be aware the man (owner?) behind counter is rude gets annoyed with everyone for no reason.

I had no prior knowledge about pucce. The guy at the counter was very friendly and not rude at all, contrary to what other reviews say. He patiently explained everything, and I ended up ordering their pucce with local ham and mozzarella, which was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

La Lira Focacceria is a small but charming spot with only a few outdoor tables — just four in total — giving it a cozy, local feel. You order and pick up your food at the counter, which makes it quick and casual. Despite its simplicity, everything here is delicious and freshly made, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy authentic flavors without spending too much, perfect for a relaxed lunch or snack. A great find for anyone who loves honest, tasty food in a laid-back setting!

We were recommended to come here for for the local Alberobello sandwich Pasqualino. Confusingly it wasn’t on the menu. But the charming staff told us that it can be made freshly within 5 minutes, so we ordered it and loved it! The bread was freshly toasted nice and warm and crispy. I thought it would be a light lunch, but the portion was generous. I was full afterwards.😍

It's in the tourist square but this is really good, authentic food. We tried 4 different items between 3 people and they were all fantastic. The bread is really well made and the staff are very friendly and helpful in explaining the differences. I also bought some baked biscuits and they are fantastic, and made in an older way that you don't see anymore especially outside of Italy.

Fantastic place, amazing food. Warm atmosphere, but we were impressed by the quality of the food. So many delicious antipasti including fave e cicorie (a delicious puree of broad beans with special green veggies, tipical apulian dish) , the orecchie pasta was handmade with local ciliegino tomato, something over the moon! We had a celiac with us and they made everything gluten free, from the antipasti till the end. Then we had a huge plate of mixed meat which was delicious and tasty too. Even the local wine was at the top level. Can't ask for more, and we'll definitely be back as soon as we are around the spectacular town of Alberobello. Super recommended.
Stefano M — Google review
Without doubt the worst meal my husband and I have ever had in Italy. We have lived in Puglia for fifteen years and been to many restaurants throughout Italy, so feel amply justified in writing this review. Before we were able to steer them away from the tourist area, some English friends booked a table here for last Saturday. The table was in the far corner of a large, characterless and almost empty room, rather like an shed/annexe with windows, with three of us, part of a group of seven, having a dismal, uninterrupted view of the toilets corridor. We two asked for no meat/fish in our anti pasti, that left us with a few bits of cheese and some dried up (unidentifiable) something or other (not eaten) . Followed this with a prima of gnocchi which was rock hard and like uncooked pasta in a watery tomato? salsa. Totally inedible. The watery fave just about stayed on the plate. Desserts? some arrived, some didn't, I had half of another guests cake and wish I had not bothered, did not seem home made and was very boring. Made do with a packet of taralli biscuits and glad when it was time to leave. If this is what they serve up to tourists visiting the town, it is more than likely they will go away thinking Puglian food is not good. When, in fact, in other restaurants it is excellent. We did not complain at the time about the awful meal as we were guests of a friend.

If I could give more stars I would! Francesco and his colleagues will make your stay in the wine cellar a true happening. When you enter you are greeted with a lot of joy and immediately feel welcome. The wine tasting (1/2 or full glasses) is a great way of tasting many different local wines for a good price. All products are local, and the quality of both the wines as well as the food is amazing. I would for sure recommend the cold cut and cheese platter, it comes with amazingly beautiful bread and will be a great lunch to share. The wines are great, Francesco has a lot of knowledge and will cater to your every need and preference. Don't forget to bring some wine, olive oil or other products back home to enjoy! Great food, great staff, well priced! should i add more? Had pasta with fresh cheese and rabbit cachiatore (apols for spelling) and grilled lamb... Now the lamb was most probably the youngest and freshest we have ever tried, ever... I did not know lamb can taste so so delicate. Mindblowing! Tiramisu (yes, never order in a restaurant) was definitely worth ordering. Other day we went to another place for dinner and... ended up coming back after that meal (unfort Donato was already closing down for the day). Love it!

Don't be fooled by the somewhat strange entrance, going down to a parking lot and you will find it to your left. We fell in love with this restaurant: the food is just great (starters, pasta, secondi all good and lots of vegetarian dishes as well!), and it generally feels like 'at home': the informal atmosphere where guests smile at each other and exchange some pleasantries but especially the staff who work very hard but still find the time to connect with you personally. This became our instant favorite restaurant in the trulli-area!

The restaurant "Gli Ulivi" is a beautiful garden immersed among olive trees. The atmosphere is really lovely, and the service is efficient. There are plenty of tables between the olives, or in the porch or closed off area. The food is good, with ample portions. The bill is quite honest - though it might not be to everyone's taste, as I specifically mention what was ordered and how much it cost, and what I look for in regards to quality.
A Magical Evening in Alberobello – A True Hidden Gem We were a group of four traveling through southern Italy, and this dinner in Alberobello was one of the highlights of our trip. From the warm welcome and perfect table to the exceptional service and delicious food, everything was flawless. The atmosphere was charming, the staff made us feel truly special, and every detail—from start to farewell—was unforgettable. A beautiful, unexpected experience we’ll always remember. What really stood out, though, was the overall warmth—from the welcome to the heartfelt farewell as we exited through the softly lit outdoor space. It wasn’t just a dinner; it was a moment that captured the spirit of southern Italy: generous, beautiful, and completely unforgettable. Highly recommended—don’t miss this place if you're anywhere near Alberobello.

Very nice setting, good prices, efficient service, but the food quality was not the same level, i’d say even quite disappointing. I guess with all the tourists (vast majority of the clients) there is no need for good authentic cousine. A bit of a shame. Also adding a bit of a shady parking person that had us move our car 3 times to make space for “someone else that might come.

Favola in Tavola Ristorante is a modern restaurant serving traditional Italian food. It has a very nice atmosphere and the service is professional. The wine selection is good.
We got a table on the spot and the food was great. I see many people make a point out of small portions, and as a Norwegian, yes they are small compared to Norwegian standard, but I had only a main course and it was definitely a large enough portion. For prices I really can't complain, considered the quality of the dishes and the service. There is no reason to be disappointed by the bill, and all prices are stated on the menu. If I return to Alberobello, I will definitely try to get a table at this place yet again. Let me also add the English is well spoken by the owners.

We had difficulty to find a nice restaurant on that day. This one is a nice one in the quieter part of Alberobello. The service was very nice and very friendly. He gave us a good suggestion for a rose wine which was very good. The food was good but the portions could be a bit bigger. I didn’t find the side dishes on the menu, maybe I should have asked….

After multiple trips to Italy and to multiple cities. This was the best pizza and perfectly cooked seafood I’ve ever had hands down. The staff was friendly, attentive and took great pride in insuring we were well taken care off. Beautiful view right at the base of the Trulli area and the price was very affordable! Alberobello has been a true delight in every way and this restaurant only added to its immense charm.

Very good - we went for dinner, and had a really good experience. They devidided our meals for two, so we had the chance to taste everything both of us. We had the best meal 😉
Josefine B — Google review
The shrimp had a bit of a strong seafood taste, but it actually paired quite well with the sauce — not bad overall. The beef was ordered medium, but it turned out a bit tough. The purple potato was interesting, though I wasn’t quite sure what it was exactly. As for the pasta, it was pretty good overall

Disappointing quantity/price ratio. You get half portion (or less) of everything, unacceptable. Multi-Michelin stars wanna-be but it serves relatively simple food. Wonderful plates, in fact photos look great. Enjoy my photos but don’t waste your money.

We managed to have lunch on a crowded day without reservation. Food was good, however due to the aspect of the restaurant we had higher expectations. The service and the atmosphere/decoration were really nice.

Italian restaurant
EVO Ristorante, located in the heart of Alberobello's historic center, has been serving up inspired cuisine since 2015. The restaurant draws on the region's wealth of local ingredients, with a particular focus on extra virgin olive oil - so much so that "Evo" is derived from the acronym for "liquid gold," a key component in many regional dishes. With a menu featuring over 240 olive oil labels, EVO celebrates this essential ingredient.
EVO in Alberobello offers an outstanding dining experience. The atmosphere is elegant, and the menu masterfully combines traditional Puglian flavors with modern techniques. Each dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service is top-notch, with staff who are attentive and passionate about their work. EVO is a must-visit for anyone in Alberobello seeking exceptional food and a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

We had one of our best meals in Italy at this restaurant in Alberobello. The 4-course set dinner was superb—each dish was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend dining here if you’re visiting Alberobello!

I came to this restaurant following a recommendation from my hotel, which mentioned it had won anItalian TV competition. I also noticed it was featured in the Michelin guide, so I arrived with high expectations — even though it was well above my usual trip budget. But for truly good food, I’m happy to pay. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with a minimalist design. Service was polite, professional, and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown — far below what you’d expect for €80 per person. The meal dragged on for over then two exhausting hours, and I was dining alone — most of the time just sitting in front of an empty table waiting for the next course. There was simply no reason for it to take that long. As for the food: Presentation was elegant and refined but most of it just didn’t taste good. Italian cuisine shines in its simplicity, but here they tried to “elevate” it in ways that didn’t work. Flavors didn’t come together, and everything — meat, fish, cuttlefish — was overcooked. It felt like a failed attempt at fine dining. There was one pasta dish that was absolutely perfect: simple, balanced, and exactly what Italian food should be. The rest? I didn’t even bother finishing — and we’re talking about dishes that barely amounted to more than a bite or two. Bottom line: excellent service and a nice vibe, but very mediocre food execution. A major disappointment overall.

Elegant place, almost minimalist. The menu seems carefully assembled, mostly with creative, captivating interpretations of traditional Apulian recipes. Their staff was amazing, very polite and easygoing. Strongly recommended!

We have lunched at Evo and were surprised by the service. We started with waiting about ten minutes for the menu, this after being ask by the waiter if we would like some water (one would think that this was a good opportunity to hand over the menu). Then we had to wait for about 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared away (during this time the waiters kept passing by our table and even though it was clear we have finished, they didn’t deemed it right to clear the table). Too bad that the chef’s Excellent job (the food was delicious) was over shadowed by such incompetent service. In the photo: rabbit filled tortellini with peas and fennel sauce.
Noam S — Google review
We had the seven course menu which was absolutely delicious. Debora is an excellent host, very professional, very welcoming and with a good knowledge of English. Michelin worthy, both for the food and the service. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Hans D — Google review
Fine dining experience to celebrate two special occasions. We had a private dining area and the service was first rate from start to finish. We took the classic tasting menu and were treated to the delights of the region ( olive oils, tartlets, cuttlefish, tartelets , aubergine. Xxl oriechetti … desserts and sweet treats) Together with pairing wine option this was a fabulous meal over two hours. Bravo to the chef and his super professional staff!
Jane — Google review
Many good intentions but not translated as it should be in the plate. Service is attentive and efficient this is the best part of the experience. The outside terrace is giving a quiet and romantic atmosphere but music signature is questionable, these white curtains on the pergola sound a bit kitch and the poor wine cellar in front of some tables is clearly a mistake. The food experience was really unconsistent. Playing the innovative and fusion style could be a risk when basics are disappearing, dishes were not well balanced (amuse bouche, starters), main courses pork was too fat and the cod simply raw with an association of ingredients which just not matched. Thanks for the desserts which saved us panna cotta was excellent.

Ice cream shop
Bar & grill
Arte Fredda in Alberobello, Italy is a popular gelato spot that has been serving delicious Italian ice cream for over 20 years. It's a perfect place to cool off during the town's hot summers. The gelateria offers a variety of seasonal flavors, such as grapefruit and watermelon in the summer and roast chestnut and persimmon in the winter. Visitors praise the friendly owner and recommend trying the chestnut ice cream.
excellent ice cream and coffee! I took the lemon flavor and I was delighted, real lemon without sugar and additional sweeteners. I really enjoyed eating it. my friend took the oreo flavor and the biscuit pieces were inside, real oreos, not some substitutes. the waitresses were very nice, I tried to order in Italian and they were immediately smiling and approachable. it was crowded, we barely got a table, you have to go inside yourself, order and take it to the table, you can wait in line to order. but I didn't mind waiting when I tried that excellent gelato.
Petra L — Google review
The ice creams were moderate, the sweets were no fresh, the cups of coffee were dirty. There were a lot of people so we thought that it would be good. But it was not.Althought was almost the only shop with shadow.I do not suggest it.

I had the pistachio and pomegranate gelato, real flavours and not to sweet. It was so good we went back and tried another pistachio and added cassata flavour. You van really taste the pistachio pieces. Very nice treatment by Katie.

WORST EVER! Avoid this place! I threw my ice cream away at the nearest bin outside the shop, which I never thought would happen in Italy. Ice cream is literally frozen water with colorants. It melts completely in less than 1 minute, you need to sip it if there is anything left. Incredibly bad. I cannot believe the 5 star reviews, I would give it -5 if I could.
Iulia P — Google review
Real gelato, great flavors and also good pastries
Dana L — Google review
The worst gelato I have had in the entirety of Italy. The gelato was icy and did not have a creamy texture. The pistachio was particularly bad, which is usually the hallmark of a good gelato place.
Felicia D — Google review
The ice cream was decent. I got the stracciatella and caffè. I came around 5pm and there was a rush. They were able to manage the rush pretty well. And the lady who served me was nice enough to setup the credit card machine even if she initially motioned for cash. They were quick but not rude. She took the time to ask me if I wanted 2 flavors instead of just one. The tables outside were clean and there was always someone who wiped it with disinfectant in between customers. AMEX cards accepted.

Coppino Alberobello is a unique self-service restaurant in the heart of a bustling tourist center. The staff is friendly and efficient, making the ordering process seamless. Despite being self-service, the food quality is exceptional, with highlights such as octopus orecchiette and Italian meatballs that are perfectly spiced. The orecchiette with meatballs and vegetarian balls are described as reminiscent of lovingly prepared dishes from grandma's kitchen.
A Hidden Gem in Alberobello – Worth the Trip Alone! We had dinner here tonight, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The menu isn’t huge, but every single dish is a standout, each idea more delicious than the last. You can tell real thought and love go into the food. The orecchiette were simply out of this world, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. And the meatballs? My kids swear they’re better than their Nonna’s (which is saying a lot!). It’s that kind of food, familiar yet elevated in the best possible way. The vibe was just as impressive. A great atmosphere fun, lively, and full of good energy. The staff had this young, positive attitude that made the whole experience even better. Super accommodating and genuinely friendly. This place nails the concept of street food with restaurant-level quality. We’d come back to Alberobello just to eat here again. Seriously, don’t miss this place, it’s an absolute gem! Can't recommend this place enough!!

The food was good. The guy at the counter was a bit of a jerk. I guess it’s a touristy spot but that’s where you’re at dude so chill and I’m over everywhere playing the worst American music. We don’t wanna hear that we’re in Italy play your own music that’s what we wanna hear. We’re here for that experience. I got my food to go because again the environment was a little much obviously it’s August I get that.

This place is a gem! So many options to choose from. We tried the vegan orecchiette and the orecchiette with meatballs and they were both so delicious! Portions are just right and the prices are reasonable given the quality and taste.
Chrysiida K — Google review
The food is tasty although the pasta was overcooked (my guess is they make a whole batch and then heat it up with the sauce of choice and that’s why it was overdone). What really makes the place stand out is the friendliness of the staff - both the girl and the guy, and the way they present the restaurant. Overall, a pleasant experience
Boryana M — Google review
Very good! I was very well treated by the staff, cashier even spoke to me in Spanish when I told him where I was from. Tables outside are a little bumpy (which is natural, as the floor itself is bumpy and hilly) but they comfortable and make for a nice ambiance. Food is also very tasty; it looks like it’s a small portion, but it’s not! 10/10 would recommend and would come back.

Fantastic place to get some cheap homemade orechiette pasta. You order first by going inside, not sitting at your table. You pay and then sit at a table that is designated with a numbered wooden spoon. When your order is ready, they call your number and you pick it up at the windows and sit back down. Drinks are, however, delivered to you. Pasta was fresh and tasted great. Highly recommend for a quick bite to eat.

Guests can savor Puglia-style milk-free pancakes with fresh seasonal ingredients, omelettes made with eggs from free-range hens, as well as an array of sweet treats like biscuits, doughnuts, freshly baked cakes, and homemade yogurt with muesli.
A stylish spot in the heart of the city with a wide variety of dishes. We tried the pancakes and the omelette — both were delicious! We had to wait a bit for a table, as the outdoor seating was full, and service was a little slow. We visited around 10–11 AM, so it might be busier during that time. Still, a lovely place worth checking out.

The food was great, but the best thing about this place was the staff. Our waiter spoke English and the other staff were patient enough to wait for us whilst we used translation apps. Comparatively, other businesses in the area, will not do the same, which is a shame. Anyway, these guys are great and down to earth. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the interior of the building was cool. Old stone with a tree like chandelier. Great spot for breakfast. Will be back during our stay this week. The building was beautiful

Food was really good, top ingredients and attention to details. Service could improve, as we had to wait quite a while to get their attention and part of the order was missing. The pasta was good, but for some tasteifht be too much Al dente. I ordered the three course meal (pasta, meat plate, salad and drink) and I got my pasta and salad at the same time (as I wanted) while others ordered pasta and salad separately and had to ask for the salad again to get it (it seemed as if they forgot about it). We also got appetizers for free which were lovely. This place had availability on the spot in the evening while others were quite full.

We had a very decent lunch here, it was good value for money and away from the tourist hell of Alberobello main trulli area. The place was not too crowded, they have both outdoor and indoor seating and presumably it’s a little cooler inside but we didn’t think so and chose outside. Our experience at Paninoteca Pane e Mozza in Alberobello was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly, and we even shared a funny moment when I mistakenly asked for 'bamba' on my panini, which is slang for a white drug, instead of 'bomba a crema' (crushed hot peppers). If you're on the hunt for a delightful pizza experience in Alberobello, look no further than Pizzeria Basilico Rosso. Nestled conveniently near your accommodation, this charming pizzeria offers an impressive array of toppings that cater to both traditionalists and adventurous eaters alike. While dining hours may differ from what some might expect—locals tend to dine later in the evening—the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Genuinely one of the nicest pizzas we’ve had during our Italian road trip! As we are English (speaking extremely little Italian) and the restaurant is on the outskirts of Alberobello, we weren’t sure how welcoming the staff would be but we approached and tried our very best to greet, explain we wanted takeaway, and order in Italian. The staff seemed to appreciate it and were very friendly and welcoming. The guy on the till who took the order had such a big smile the whole time we were there ☺️ We ordered one fiorita, one salsiccia e porcini and one pistachio cheesecake. 10 minutes total to order, watch the pizzas get made fresh right in front of us, cook in the wood fired oven and leave, fantastic service. The flavour and texture of both pizzas was spot on! Great amount of toppings and cooked perfectly. The cheesecake was tasty but not a cheesecake haha. Maybe a deconstructed cheesecake or more so a pistachio mousse with a biscuit crumb, nevertheless it tasted good! We did feel the opening times were odd (not opening until 8pm) but that seems to be the Italian way, as we were leaving there were lots of people arriving who all sounded Italian so that’s always a good sign. We will definitely be eating here again before we leave Alberobello. Thanks to all the staff at Basilico Rosso

Pizzeria Arboris Belli is a great place to go for a pizza in Alberobello. It's got a remote location, but it's worth it for the delicious food. The chef is able to speak English and he was happy to help with the menu. The service was good and the restaurant appeared to be very popular.
Lovely Pizzeria offering takeaway and sit in! Great for larger groups with nice garden outdoor area for warmer nights. Hidden away out of the hustle and bustle of Alberobello - popular with locals.

(Translated by Google) We spent a few days in a trullo here and got the tip from our hotel owner. He said that's where the locals go. Exactly what we are looking for. It is a butcher shop with a guest room. About 10 tables and kept simple but clean. You choose your meat in the store and it is then prepared. We had a Florentine steak. Gigantic, 1Kg. Plus 7 meat rolls, bratwurst, a huge bowl of homemade fries, 1 liter of wine, house starter and grappa. There were only two of us and we almost burst. But the steak, which came on a hot stone, was one of the best we have ever eaten. A real treat and huge praise. We were there again the next day. The prices: cheap. (Original) Wir haben hier ein paar Tage in einem Trullo verbracht und haben den Tipp von unserem Hotelbesitzer erhalten. Er sagte, dorthin gehen die Einheimischen. Genau was wir suchen. While some guests have expressed disappointment regarding service and portion sizes during busy times, many rave about the quality of the food, particularly praising the delicious pizza and excellent red wine.
Excellent food, great service with very kind staff who helped us navigate the menu and had some yummy vegetarian options! Food was delicious and fresh! Thank you so much !

This was, hands down, the slowest and most disorganized restaurant staff I’ve ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that no one was really in charge. We waited far too long just to be acknowledged. The staff seemed confused, overwhelmed, and completely out of sync with each other. It felt like chaos from start to finish. Would not recommend if you value your time or basic service standards. Food was okay, nothing special.

We were looking for a bite quite late in the night and so we searched Google. This place sounded good by reviews so we gave it a go and we didn't regret it. The atmosphere was very nice and we were accommodates without booking despite the restaurant being quite busy. We ordered three pinzas between four of us and we could barely finish it. Two would have been enough but we took what was left back home. Pinzas were delicious and the dough very light and tasty. There was an option to have the pizzas on brown dough but we opted for a classic ones. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is my 2nd time in this restaurant after 2 years, I must say it my top 1st restaurant at Alberobello, the food is just so delicious, the staff is very friendly and will always recommend you the best ( to no order to much food ) If you have the chance to have dinner with them, order a Pinse ( half half ) it's very big + pasta Calamarata, it's a dream food and for dessert the semifreddo di figgi & almonds. I will definitely go back on my next visit 💛

We came without a reservation and got a table for two (in low season). We had the octopus as an antipasti. It came with mashed potatoes and was extremely delicious. The price is a little on the high side, but it was worth it. On our second visit, we would try the cold cuts platter with local meat and cheese, which looked pretty amazing. As a second course, we ordered the large (600 g) pinsa for two. One half with tomato/mozarella/basil pesto and the second half with prosciutto or Parma ham and a milky sauce. Both halves had an excellent flavour. Delicious. The dough was soft and the crust crispy. Plenty of salt in the dough, as it should be. So far the best pinsa I've eaten in Puglia! If you like pinsa, this is an absolute MUST. The service was very nice and helpful, especially with the selection. We didn't realise that you could choose two toppings for the pinsa.

A pretty nice restaurant with good location. But the food itself isn't the best, pasta, seafood are good (also excellent french fries) but I really don't recommend ordering the steak... It was extremely chewy and had almost gum like texture. Taste was pretty good but the texture really ruined the whole experience. Staff was pretty average but there weren't any napkins, olive oil or salt and pepper at the table. Overall a decent restaurant with okay food except the steak.

I really liked the food here, I hope I remember correctly the name: taglioni. Very tasty and the sauce creamy and nice. The orecchiette with ragu had the best taste! Then followed by the steamed fish and the mushroom pasta. The traditional one, with bread crumbs on top wasn’t very tasty. The bread made id feel very dry. Drinks were very enjoyable too. I dearly recommend!

Nadiia G — Google review
The quality of the food is terrible. We live in Italy for a few years now and we never had this quality of food. The pasta and mushrooms were not fresh and way too salt (incl some hair), there was no meat in the pasta ragu but the worst part was the fact that they sell Baccala on the menu but they serve fried broccoli!!!! We received 4 pieces of "baccala". Two pieces were full of bones and the other two pieces were fried broccoli. It is a scam!!! Please, if you want to enjoy the real Italian food, skip this place.

Very nice restaurant in the centre of Alberobello. The service was great, friendly and helpful staff. Food was even better! We had 'orecchiette' with turnip, which is a famous local dish, and fava beans puree also with turnip as it seems to be a common ingredient in the food menus of Bari and surrounding. Also I need to mention the baked potatoes which were really amazing. Great atmosphere if you eat outside. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is because I think they need to introduce more choices for vegetarians.

The staff were very rude. I wanted to sit down, and the only available table was one for four people. Ristorante Il Trullo Antico is a rustic and charming restaurant located in Alberobello. The menu offers unique dishes such as red tuna orecchiette and breadcrumb prawns, which are both delicious and filling. The hosts are fluent in English, providing excellent service, while the other waiters are friendly despite limited English skills. Although some reviews have been critical of the food quality, others highly recommend this place for its lovely cave-like ambiance and delectable lasagna.
We had three courses and all the food was incredible! We came accidentally (thinking we were going to another place nearby but with maps not working) and what a very happy accident it was!! Nicco was an amazing host - he gave us excellent recommendations and we ate some of the best food in our entire trip. So worth a visit!!

Dropped in for lunch. The host was gracious enough to attend to us despite it being close to closing hours. The place is very rustic yet charming. The menu is not very extensive with limited choices for vegetarians. The portions are extremely small. The food was tasty and well made. The €3 cover charge, not limited to this restaurant but seen across Alberobello, is a damper especially given that it was the low season (we went there towards end of Oct). This together with the prices as in any popular tourist location did not make this a great experience.
Ashok H — Google review
I was hesitant about this restaurant because of the mixed reviews but decided to follow the positive reviews. The waitress was kind and very efficient. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The owner was a nice lady that took our order and made some recommendations that we were not intending to order but decided to take her advice. The wine she recommended was very good but the cheese plate was so-so and a bit too much considering the appetizer we had wanted was sufficient. The purple potato gnocchi were not that good and quite overpriced. So all said and done, I wish I had only listened to half her suggestions and paid half as much and not felt so full. She is a very good sales person, but perhaps not sincere enough. I'm glad I was open to trying new dishes but would definitely go in next time knowing that her objective is to sway me into ordering more than I want to.

Other reviews seemed a bit harsh! Would definitely recommend this place. Lovely restaurant in a cave. Menu options are a little different to everywhere else we went past. We came for lunch and got the breadcrumb prawns and red tuna orecchiette. Food was very tasty and filling. Service was quick. The hosts speak good English, the other waiters less so but were still very friendly and polite.

Very nice little Restaurant at the top of trulli town. I had the lasagna (9euro - worth it!!) My girlfriend had some Antipasti (5euro) also very tasty. We had enough space left for a Tiramisu each :)

Worst dining experience I have experienced in Europe. Avoid completely. Service is awful - no one smiles and staff don’t even know what the local cheeses are. Pasta dishes have no flavour and the ravioli comes with a bizarre green sauce that has vibrant colour but zero taste. It was so disappointing and I’m shocked chefs are proud to serve this food as a representation of their skills.

Restaurant
Trullo Garden is a rustic restaurant with traditional cuisine and a charming ambiance. The restaurant features exposed-stone walls, a courtyard, and a covered terrace garden, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch. The menu offers generous portions of freshly cooked dishes, including lamb chops, fried seafood, bombetti, and delicious chips. Visitors praise the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Guests appreciate the helpful staff who provide excellent recommendations for Puglian dining experiences.
A Culinary Dream in a 14th-Century Trullo! Our family of four, including two teenagers, had the absolute pleasure of dining at this hidden gem nestled within a 14th-century Trullo home in Puglia, and it was, without a doubt, the most perfect and memorable experience of our entire Italian trip. This family-owned restaurant is an absolute must-visit when in the region. From the moment we stepped inside, the attention to detail was impeccable. The ambiance of dining within such a historic and unique structure was truly enchanting. But it wasn't just the setting that impressed us – the dishes were simply the best we had during our entire time in Italy! Each plate was a testament to fresh, local ingredients and masterful culinary skill. As if the experience couldn't get any better, we were even seated in a private section of the restaurant, adding an extra layer of intimacy and charm to our family meal. The service was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable dining experience in Puglia, look no further. This restaurant offers not only exceptional food but also a unique glimpse into the region's history and hospitality. We can't recommend it highly enough!

Great location for a lazy lunch with a super covered terrace garden. Generous portions from a menu with not too many choices and all freshly cooked. Our party had the delicious lamb chops, fried seafood and the bombetti. We loved the chips! Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Ristorante Trullo Garden is a shameless tourist trap that delivers one of the most infuriating dining experiences in Southern Italy. The staff’s arrogance is matched only by their rudeness, sneering at us as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. Their so-called “special” seafood pasta, a slimy, overpriced slop, was slapped on our plates at an obscene €18 each—double what any decent trattoria would dare charge for such a disgrace. To add insult to injury, they tacked on a €6 “service” fee for what can only be described as contempt disguised as hospitality. The food was so abysmal it soured our entire trip, convincing us to ditch restaurants altogether and cook our own meals, which were leagues better than this overrated dump. Trullo Garden preys on unsuspecting visitors, banking on Alberobello’s charm to mask its mediocrity. It’s a place where sheep blindly follow Tripadvisor stars, too spineless to call out the scam. Save your money and your sanity, eat literally anywhere else. This was, without question, the worst dining experience we’ve ever endured. the only saving grace was the atmosphere which definitely didn't justify the daylight robbery we endured.
Rohith W — Google review
To be very honest I am very disappointed with the quality of the food. I did not like the menu that I ordered so then I wanted to try seafood but (additionally to the menu that I had already ordered) but the staff (and even owner) said that I had to compulsory order minimum two portions for two persons. However, I said that I just wanted/needed one bit because I did not like the menu. And in the end, I paid more than 100 euros for food you did not like... I would advise this restaurant to bear in mind that they should not impose clients to eat something they have tried and did not like so that they could be much more flexible with this ”minimum two portions”. This does not make sense

Loved the Funghi Porcini menu - fantastic experience. The beef was awesome, too. Nice and friendly staff, will definitely come back!

Ristorante Trullo Garden is a deplorable scam masquerading as a restaurant, serving up misery with a side of overpriced slop in Alberobello’s otherwise charming setting. The staff are aggressively unfriendly, treating customers with a smug disdain that makes you wonder why they bother opening their doors. Their “signature” seafood pasta, a watery, fishy mess unfit for a stray cat, comes with a predatory catch: a minimum two-person order at a jaw-dropping €18 per plate, ensuring you’re fleeced twice for the privilege of choking down their culinary failure. As if that weren’t enough, they slap on a €6 “service” fee for their scowls and neglect service so nonexistent it’s practically theft. This place is a blight on Puglia’s dining scene, preying on tourists too dazzled by trulli to see through the con. We left feeling robbed and repulsed, opting to cook our own meals for the rest of the trip every single one tastier than this garbage. Trullo Garden is a soulless cash grab for spineless trend-chasers who’d rather post pretty photos than admit they’ve been duped. Avoid this hellhole at all costs; it’s an insult to Italy’s culinary heritage.

Braceria La Fontana is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Alberobello, offering a delightful dining experience. Specializing in grilled and roasted meats, this century-old establishment prides itself on serving fresh and homemade dishes. The menu features delicious options such as bombette, a unique sausage-like meat roll, and locally made mozzarella. Visitors can enjoy outdoor seating while savoring the mixed grill, which includes delectable rolled pork with cheese.

Don’t go to this restaurant!!! The waiter was very rude to us, said that we couldn’t fit in 5 people even having another table of 5 already seated and a lot of empty tables in the restaurant. He also said that they were only serving meat, but we also saw people eating salad (like any other normal restaurant). If it is the restaurant’s policy about number of people in the table or what to serve depending in who is your customer, its “fine”. But the waiter even tried to intimidate me when I went for the name of the restaurant to make the complaint!

We were headed to another place in town that was closed when it was supposed to be open. Lucky for us, we found this gem! It’s been open for over 100 years and we could see why. Everything is very fresh and mostly homemade. They have these bombette (little sausage like meat rolls) in a sandwich. Very unique (and delicious) indeed. My wife got some of the mozzarella made in the town and that really rocked us. If your in Alberobello and want a lovely lunch, check this place out!

We went here by recommendation, and it was a good recommendation. We had a half hour wait to get seated at the outdoor tables, which was good, seeing how busy it was. The mixed grill includes a rolled pork thing with cheese in it that was delicious. Very reasonable prices for the area.

The two steaks was so bad and impossible to chew. When addressed to the restaurant, they blamed the meat supplier and we still had to pay full price, even though we send it out. Unbelievable.

Macelleria braceria "da Zio Peppe" offers a unique dining experience that starts in a butcher shop where you place your order and receive a number before being seated. The service may be a bit disorganized, but it adds to the fun atmosphere. The food is excellent, with their own produced cheese and tasty meat. This spot provides an authentic taste of Puglia without the formality of upscale restaurants, featuring local produce made onsite.
If you're searching a local restaurant, with no high standards for the location and service but with DELICIOUS food and cheap prices, this is the place to be. I had the best ricotta and Polpette al sugo of my life. We took the menu for 15 Euro each, had more than enough with the quantity. They have delicious wine also in bottles but you have to drink it in plastic glasses. You get also plastic plates+for to eat, but trust me it's worth it! And don't forget to book a table because he's always full!

Great place to have a taste of Puglia without the fuss of the fancy restaurants. All local produce and mostly made onsite. They have their own cows and pigs and they just have them processed at another facility. The "restaurant" is next to the butcher shop and it has aircon and shades. The 15 euros menu would feed a small giant. I mean, it s a taste of what this land can offer at an affordable price. 5 stars for quality. It s a family business, with house wine the colour of blood and plastic plates but, to me, these kind of places are 10 times better than proper restaurants with fancy dishes and decoration on their plates. It's a true local experience. Kudos to businesses like this one

Eating at Macelleria braceria "da Zio Peppe" is not just having a meal, but it is an interesting and funny adventure. First need to enter in a butcher shop to make your order after that they give you a number and take you to the table. At the end back to the shop for the payment. Ristorante Pizzeria Pozzo Contino is a cozy restaurant with rustic interiors offering a great view over the city, especially at night. The garden provides a nice and comfortable atmosphere for dining, and it's even more charming in the evening. The menu features a wide variety of delicious pizzas and drinks at reasonable prices. Despite being small, the restaurant tends to get crowded in the evenings due to its popularity, but the friendly staff and tasty food make it worth the wait.
Great place to dine. Great food (although my pizza came a bit more salty than it should have) pizza and caprese salad were delicious. Next to the beautiful view of the trulli. And the prices are affordable. The only misunderstanding we had was regarding the dessert menu, as we thought we would have actual tiramisu and not an ice cream with that flavor. Overall I recommend it 👍🏻.

We waited for the order for 45 minutes, the drinks were brought in 20 minutes, because there are not many people in the institution. Naopolitan's pizza with anchovies, very salty, impossible to eat, but the Martinese pizza was very juicy and tasty. But they didn't charge for the service

They were able to customise vegan pizza for us by taking away the cheese on vegetarian pizza. The dough was nice but the ingredients didn’t really hold well together as a whole for the pizza. English translation is on the menu.

The restaurant's garden is just inside the neighboring park and has a nice view towards the trulli houses. With a huge variety of tasty pizza and very friendly staff, this small restaurant is usually crowded in the evening, but it's worth the waiting.

Nice restaurant with a great view over the city. Garden is nice and cozy, even more by night. Food was good fresh and rather cheap, waitress friendly but speaks little English. What is odd is that you don't get the bill at the table you have to pay on your way out telling your table number.

Good restaurant with some tasty vegan options and a large cellar to chose your favorite wine from. The portions are good, even too good sometimes: I wasn't expecting 3 burratas in a plate when I ordered this starter - it's a bit much if you're not sharing. The tiramisu was very good, with the right amount of coffee and liquor in!
Lorene F — Google review
Extremely slow! It took 1.5 hours from when we ordered the pasta and when we received it. The worst part is that it was the most tasteless seafood pasta we've ever had. The burrata was really good though. Online it said that they open at 12:30 but they only opened at 13:00 so we had to wait for them for half an hour. We're in Alberobello to visit, not spend hours upon hours waiting for food so I sadly would not recommend this place.

Late lunch at this fine restaurant in Trullo city Alberobello, away from the crowds. Quite some vegan and vegetarian options that pulled us in here, and they were delicious. We had a tasty chickpea soup, nice bread with local olive oil, a crazy amount of burrata (portions are quite big), and big oven roasted aubergine. Tiramisu to finish. They have a huge collection of wines in their cellar as well that you are free to check out. Quite some cool labels as well. They have an inside terrace as well, that’s even bigger in summer. Stylish place. Worth the visit.

This is a hard one to review. The food was very good....but the portions seemed pretty small. The biggest issue was that the service was very slow! It was painful at the end & really took the shine off the evening. The guy with the beard (sorry, no name) seemed really nice & was very helpful but didn't seem to have any help apart from one other guy. Things like asking for the bill & then noticing that it had clearly been forgotten as the other guy just moved plates around. Getting offered a free drink (Limoncello) & then waiting for that for ages! - it was necked when it arrived. It was pretty reasonable - 63 euro for bottle of wine, sharing starter, 2 pasta dishes & 2 deserts. We paid & left no tip which is very rare....but all involved were not surprised!

(Translated by Google) We spent a weekend in Alberobello and went to the Miccolis butcher's shop for dinner on Sunday 1st June. Luckily we found a table for 2 because, by calling at the last minute, everything was clearly already booked. And, later, we understood why. We were immediately greeted by the owner who was extremely kind and patient in explaining all the cuts of meat, then advising us on the best choice. We were then accompanied to the room where we would have dinner. What can I say... Wonderful! I won't go into details so as not to ruin the surprise. The photos published by other customers don't do it justice. While waiting for the meat we had some meatballs to nibble on. Delicious! All obviously accompanied by an excellent bottle of wine. When the main courses arrived it was simply a feast for the palate. The quality of the meat, the cooking and the service were excellent. The final bill was more than adequate, in fact, we would have expected more! I highly recommend it! Buonissime! Fantastic experience! We went for a quick bite to try some nice pasta and ended up spending 1 hour watching the master of pasta making - Maria. She was truly a machine. Not only that, but they also allowed us to try and make a few of the orecchiettes ourselves 🙌🏻🙌🏻

We had a delightful, flavourful meal here — and vegans are well catered for too. The service was warm and attentive. Best of all, we got to make pasta alongside one of the nonnas — a truly immersive experience. Even better: they don’t close for a midday siesta, so you can eat later in the day. Still, booking ahead is wise — the place fills up fast.

The best place I’ve eaten! The food is amazing, delicious and fresh. The dishes are creative yet totally local in flavors and ingredients. The presentation is truly top notch. This year, I’ve eaten in Milan, Rome and Ischia. This was truly the best. The atmosphere was wonderful and the owners were fantastic. My two Italian Nonna’s were also impressed and vowed to return because it was so good. In addition, the value was amazing. The four of us enjoyed three entrees and two deserts for under 25 Euro each. Included in the service was an aperitivo and special chocolates made in house. A fabulous experience!

It was a quiet rainy afternoon and we came in around 4pm near the end of the shift so service was a little slow as everyone had chores to clean and prepare for the evening. The experience was still first class. The fresh bread and tomato sauce to start was almost enough for a light lunch but the pasta was worth leaving some room for.

Came here seeing the fresh pasta focus. Came here on a cold rainy Friday night in October. About half full. Service is polite and professional. They are used to dealing with tourists (who isn't in Alberobello?) so language is not a problem. The meal begins with the bread offering but not some stale bread basket. It has good bread presented with a couple of nice components. This is how one serves pane e coperto. Thoughtfully. We were allowed to sit and watch the Sfoglina work her magic. For an amateur home cook, it was a joy to watch a practiced professional work her craft. She's making pasta everyone will eat and it appears so easy. This night I had the hand made macaroni which was delicious. The menu changes but is pasta focus. They have a few other options but I mean why eat something else when you have amazing fresh pasta to choose from. The restaurant is Slow Food certified and use local fresh seasonal ingredients. The commercial Nespresso machine serves up a delicious coffee which came with little bites of delicious chocolate. The meal was a wonderful experience overall.

Very nice place with tasty food and good prices. After we've visited the beautiful trulli site village and we got hungry and tired, we choose this restaurant that was beyond our expectation. Very good pizza, excellent pork meat with rucolla and tomatoes, tasteful chicken in white sause and delicious steak. I recommend this place, it's turistic but they pay respect for quality.

The lady who served us was very sour and angry despite our politeness. At least the food was good, but the overall she was a buzkill and our experience was worse because of it.

This place is BOMB! The food is affordable. The food taste AMAZING! Everything was seasoned so well! We will definitely be coming back here. Server spoke English, menu has English subtitles! Definitely was easy to order!
Dana S — Google review
Awful. It was empty we should have known. Cheap prawn cocktail. Pasta was cooked ok but came with almost zero fish. Staff very short not polite. Dressed like they were doing the gardening. Spoilt the evening. Should have gone to a restaurant

Bagià is a popular bar located in the Square of Alberobello, offering a variety of local beers and unique house-made gins such as Oregano and Rose Pepper. The establishment is known for its generous and delightful aperitivo, featuring local delicacies like mozzarella, focaccia, orechiette pasta, and coppa. Visitors can enjoy post-dinner drinks with great views of the piazza while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere with music and friendly guests.
The only one bar in the Square, that greeted us when we were looking for where to stop by. Offered a detailed explanation of all food and drinks they had. They have local beers and two very interesting gins they make on their own (Oregano, more dry, and another Rose Pepper, more floral). Take aperitivo (10€ per person, generous and wonderful, tasting all local stuff as mozzarella, focaccia, orechiette pasta, coppa and more).

Cozy little gem perfect for lunch and a glass of wine🥂 This is a small and cozy place with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The dim romantic lighting adds a lovely touch, making it feel intimate without being too formal. While the menu isn't huge, it's well-curated and pairs perfectly with their wine selection — definitely more suited for a relaxed lunch or a quiet drink rather than a big dinner. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A great spot to unwind and enjoy good conversation.

Wow! Really a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend the cheese and vegetable board, it was more than enough for 2 people. Everything was delicious and so fresh. The service was also very friendly and thr food came out quick.

Having toured Italy coast to coast and spent 2 weeks exploring food- This place had the best service, food and local wine in all of Italy - hands down!! We were told this region had some of the best food and specifically Buratta. They got us great seats on a hot day with ample shade and served us a delicious meal with great ingredients. You must try Ad Astra which is one of a kind and their mini sandwhiches.

"The wait for pancakes and sandwiches was quite long. Unfortunately, the pancakes were a bit dry, and the prices seemed high considering the quality. You might have a better experience by exploring some of the smaller side streets, where you can find cozier cafés offering better value for breakfast."

A nice wine bar and coffee shop located in the main street of Alberobello in a very strategic location. The service is friendly and swift. The ambiance is light. You can enjoy the location and the drink. Prices are fair.

Perfect people watching spot in the square 🍷 Local ingredients, local wine and friendly service. It’s the perfect place to take a break from wandering the village streets and have a beverage and a snack!

Lovely place in Alberobello with lots of charm. Tonio was fantastic. Really helpful, professional, but also very friendly, which made us feel right at home. Highly recommend Bagià if you’re visiting the area.

Nestled in the heart of Alberobello, Terra Mossa Ristorante Pizzeria is a delightful spot that promises an authentic Italian dining experience. While some may have reservations based on reviews, many visitors rave about the fantastic pizzas that cater to families, including gluten-free options that are among the best around. The menu extends beyond just pasta and pizza; it features a variety of meat and seafood dishes along with fresh salads.
A nice comfortable setting, with a menu giving both traditional and modern twists on classics. I had to try their lobster and prawn pasta, which had amazing flavours. Their pizzas had a really nice texture on the dough. Combined with insalatona mista, it made a perfect dinner meal. They also have craft beer on tap, which was paired nicely with the meal. The service from Gianni was outstanding, real character and very personable. He really took care of us. Grazie Gianni!!

Clear Restaurant offers a professional and attentive service, creating a pleasant dining experience. However, the value for money doesn’t quite match the quality of the dishes. Portions are modest and flavors average for the price point
Marian — Google review
Our last minute dinner decision turned out to be way beyond the expectations- the fried calamari was the best we’ve ever had, way better than the one we had for lunch in a “fine-dining” seafood restaurant. The lobster pasta, special of the day, was equally delicious. What a way to finish the long day with a glass of wine and tasty Italian food, with the help of a friendly waitress Numzoa, in a charming little town of Alberobello…

Lovely food, great location as its in the centre of the Trulli Zone of Alberobello. We've ordered a pizza which was really good. Would go back just to have it again. After main we've shared a tiramisu but that wasnt great at all.

Good food, nice location but the space inside can get very loud very quickly. Big up for the dessert of the day, it was a huge portion, a very nice take on the classic Baba au rhum

Exceptional food and service. The Limone 2.0 dessert is not only an exquisite work of art, but an absolute joy to the palate as well. We can definitely recommend!

Nestled in the charming town of Alberobello, NOS Ristorante is a culinary treasure that offers an exceptional dining experience without breaking the bank. Guests rave about the delightful blend of contemporary Italian cuisine and warm hospitality provided by Valerio, the passionate owner. From a refreshing herb garden tour to expertly crafted dishes, every aspect reflects dedication to quality. Diners can indulge in generous portions of delectable offerings like scallops, lamb, and perfectly cooked chicken legs—all paired beautifully with exquisite local wines.
Excellent experience at this chic restaurant amidst old town Trullo. The ambience was elevated by a talented Martin who showers us with romantic piano and violin pieces. Food was magnificent with seasonal menu. Definitely felt Michelin like quality. As we stumbled upon the place whilst strolling, they didn’t mind that we were not on our Sunday best but in casual sportswear
Irene Y — Google review
This was my favourite restaurant of the trip. I would have eaten there every day. From the food to the ambience, everything hit the mark. The dishes were divine, full of flavour, beautifully presented. The service was impeccable; attentive, warm, unobtrusive. The attention to detail was remarkable. Even little things stood out: wine glasses chosen to let the wine breathe, and yet easy to hold. Bathrooms spotless — clean enough you could have eaten your dinner in there. The menu is on tablets, modern but tasteful. The creation of the menu had real care and real passion behind every choice. We didn’t have a reservation, yet the staff treated us like regulars. The music in the background was subtle — well known tunes played live on piano (and sometimes violin) at just the right volume. The whole experience was delightful from start to finish — from the warm greeting to the goodbyes. They catered well for vegans too. Best of all, the experience was not more expensive than other tourist-trap places in other towns, yet we ate more here and got vastly better quality. And the coffee — among the best I’ve had anywhere. ** Recommendation: make a reservation to avoid disappointment

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A hidden gem in Alberobello! NOS Ristorante was one of our absolute favorite dining experiences during our month-long trip through Italy. Tucked away off the beaten path, this charming spot is so much more than just a restaurant — it feels like dining at a friend’s home. The food was exceptional, but what truly made it special was the warmth of the owner and entire staff. They made us feel like family — never rushed, always welcomed, and surrounded by laughter and conversation. The evening turned magical when Martin began playing the piano and violin while the owner sang — fun, romantic, and unforgettable. We loved it so much we went back a second time and ended up sharing wine and stories with the staff late into the night. If you’re visiting Alberobello, don’t miss this place — it’s pure Italian hospitality at its finest. ❤️🇮🇹

The most beautiful outdoor dining experience for us in Alberobello! 🤩 Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, and the setting was simply magical. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. We loved every moment and can’t wait to return!

Wow! I think my wife and I really happened upon a hidden gem here. The food was beyond amazing. I had the baked lamb and can honestly say I haven't had better since the last Michelin star where our family dined in Greece. Tried the bread and oil as well which was delicious and the olive oil gelato which was amazing too. The service was impeccable and friendly as well. On top of that there was the live music. I really wish I could remember the name of their maestro. Someday, when he's become famous we'll be able to say we heard him before he was discovered. Bravo!
Eric B — Google review
The best restaurant we’ve been in Italy ever. Food perfect, please with a high quality live music and the best service. Price is quite high if compared to other places but fair with the high quality experienced. A guy playing Pianno and Violin made our experience even better!
Carlos S — Google review
This was the most unexpected and underrated experience I’ve ever had. When you read average 4.9 on Google reviews and the category “restaurant”, you don’t capture what NOS truly is. NOS is a perfect symphony of food, service, music, and attention to detail, from the shape of the wine glass to the beautiful notes played on Martin’s piano and violin. Booking in advance is essential, especially if you want to sit near the artists. I predict that NOS will soon be the region’s top destination, and its guests will also visit Alberobello (not the other way around). If NOS were in New York, you wouldn’t be able to get a reservation for two months.

Nestled away from the bustling crowds, Malerbe. Cucina semplice offers a serene escape for those seeking a moment of tranquility. While you may experience a slight wait, the owner graciously informs guests about the service pace, allowing you to savor the peaceful atmosphere. The warmth and friendliness of the staff create an inviting ambiance that enhances your dining experience. The menu at Malerbe is thoughtfully curated with seasonal ingredients sourced locally, ensuring each dish bursts with flavor and freshness.
Delicious assortment of dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Excellent service with a super friendly and kind chef who took the time to explain the daily specials. Seasonal menu depending on in season fruits and veggies, very fresh tasting food. Great selection of beer. All served in a chill ambiance.

A little offset from the main trulli houses, this restaurant is well worth the trip. Seasonally chosen menu with fresh ingredients, each dish was a delight, particularly the fig with strattiacella! The chef came to personally describe the selections for travelers like ourselves who understand Italian, but are more comfortable with English. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend coming here for a break from the heat and throngs of tourists!
Michelle C — Google review
An oasis of quiet in a town crowded with people. I had to wait a little bit, but that wasn't a problem at all, because the owner told me right when I sat down that she was alone and that service would thus take longer than usual. Being informed, I could genuinely enjoy this moment of calm. Her service was profoundly friendly, very personal and all together lovely. The food was spot-on! The taste of each individual ingredient served to make a sum, greater than its parts. As others have stated, the portions are relatively small, but enough to satisfy me at 2pm, having had no breakfast or anything at all for the whole day... Go here if you want to enjoy a truly memorable moment, don't come here if you want to feast, be fed and be gone.
Timo B — Google review
Here you can find fine menus based on carefully selected local products. I have been here a few times. The menus change to adjust to seasonal herbs and produce. The owners put their pride to deliver high cuisine at what are affordable prices for the delicacies one can indulge upon.

This lovely restaurant serves good traditional Italian dishes... but in ridiculously small portions for a high price. The service is good.

Lovely restaurant in a beautiful trullo... the food is fresh, well prepared, with an attitude of love, as their sign says. This is not “tourist fare”, but really beautiful dining! Worth finding and enjoying.
