Such great care from the hostess, servers and bartenders. The food was also top notch. We had the cauliflower vegetarian main and a chicken dish. Both far exceeded our expectations. We did not have reservations BUT the hostess found a cancellation and we waited over beers and cider made in house. She found us about 30 minutes early and was so very nice (checking on us throughout the meal). A fantastic first night in Derry!! Close to the Peace Bridge. Hope to be back to try the small batch gins.

One of the best meals I had in Ireland, and their beer was fantastic as well. Everything was made very fresh because they don’t start cooking the next course until you finish what you are having. Amazing service and refreshing food compared to all the fried pub meals I had the rest of the week!

Thank you Walled City Brewery for making our wedding reception one to remember! The Taproom looked amazing and was perfect for our crowd. Everyone had a great time and, of course, the phenomenal food and drink just proved why we picked you in the first place! So many comments about how delicious it all was. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and, of course, Cat ran the whole show seamlessly from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for better!

Nice atmosphere, a wide selection of locally brewed beers. The meat was good, and the dessert as well. The waiters are very friendly.

I have dined in restaurants across the globe, and not a lot compares to this evening’s dinner. The service was absolutely rapid, attentive, and delivered some of the most fantastic food I have ever tasted with a smile for less than one hundred pounds for two. I will be talking about this for years to come.

Craft brewing in the Walled City! This was on our radar, and we were here for the beer. Foyster Stout was my go to, and it did not disappoint. Very well done. And the other, an IPA called Stitch. Both were quite good. Nice job WCB!

We love eating at Breweries but we rarely had such amazing food in one. Good spice level on the dumplings and the seabass and the pork belly were both super beautifully presented and super balanced in flavor. The beer is great too, get the Oyster Stout with the seabass and be amazed!

This place was decent enough. Pretty average food, service, and decent enough pints of Guinness Not much for any sort of personality from any of the staff. Oh well...You can't have stellar all of the time, I guess.

Service was fast and friendly. Our server Kevin was welcoming to us tourists with banter and warmth. The food was delicious and music was lovely. Getting to choose your side with your main was 10/10 i love a mix and match. Would recommend.

Came here for the fish and chips and it did not disappoint! The fish was perfectly battered and they gave you quite a large piece. I really enjoyed that you could pick a side too. I got the sweet potato fries which were great and my wife got champ. The beers are great, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Very busy place, pretty nice atmosphere and character with a nice variety of decorations. Roast beef was overcooked and tough. Beef and Guinness stew was ok. Cearser dirty salad was bad. Parsley sauce just had dried parsley sitting at the bottom of the service cup, and we had stir it to mix in the parsley . Philly cheese steak was nothing special. Irish breakfast was fine. Thick fries were ok, not greasy. The garlic potatoes cubes were tasty. Small tap list of beets. Guiness was poured properly. The Rough as Badger hazy IPA had a very mild hop flavour for a hazy IPA, I was expecting more flavour. The booth seating is very short in depth maybe 13 inches in depth, so seating was not comfortable. Service was pretty good and friendly.

Food was absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it. Had a good variety of options from a delicious casserole to pasta dishes, salads and burgers. Really recommend it. Can be quite cozy so wouldn't try and bring in big bags and what not.

This is a great spot. Stopped in for a lovely lunch with my girlfriend. It was quiet so we were told we could sit anywhere and chose one of the big booths. Seats were very comfortable and the decor inside is lovely. Drinks were served very quickly. Took a while to get our food order although in fairness my girlfriend was on her phone for a bit which is probably why. I had the chicken burger and requested the tempura vegetable starter to be served alongside it. Chicken burger was nice although nothing particularly special about it. Tempura vegetables were beautiful and the sauce served with it was fantastic with a lovely spice. My girlfriend had the chicken stack served in a rich chorizo sauce and topped with an onion ring. It looked fantastic and a he thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good prices and nice place. It wasn’t busy midday and the food was great. The pints were tasty 😋and cheaper than everywhere else in Northern Ireland.

Don't judge a book by it's cover! I'll be honest, walking towards the place and seeing the outside of it, I wasn't blown away and was not expecting much. From the minute we walked inside everything changed. The interior is lovely, the staff amazing, and the food is fabulous! Despite how busy it was inside, there was not a long wait for food. The food - huge portions and excellent quality. We both had the curry, one was fish and one chicken. It had a nice little kick to it, but not hot at all. I'm not a fan for curry so spicy it hurts! The sides were also very generous, and the garlic potatoes were the best we've had in Derry. Would absolutely visit again!

Nice food and service! The chicken curry was amazing and the SALT & CHILLI POTATOES were TERRIFIC!!! My favorite ones! I wouldn’t recommend the 1/2 ROAST CHICKEN. It was not bad…but probably there are better dishes. The live music is lovely!

We arrived just after the kitchens closed (19:45), but the manager still allowed us to order. I had the 10oz sirloin (medium rare) and my wife had the chicken stuffed with goats cheese. Both arrived promptly and we delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone. Good service with a lively environment.

We were really disappointed with our meal at Blackbird Restaurant. We ordered the haddock, which was far from great — it tasted greasy and undercooked, like it had been fried in oil that wasn’t hot enough. It also didn’t come with the mushy peas and lemon wedge that were clearly listed on the menu. We’ve been traveling around Ireland for over 10 days now, and unfortunately, this was the worst meal we’ve had so far. We ended up not even finishing our dinner. Overall, a big letdown and we won’t be returning.

On visit to Derry to see the walls we stopped off at the The Grand Central bar with a disabled friend, who had a disability scooter. After a couple of beers we were asked to leave by the bar lady. She said the scooter was blocking her way, although there were 12 kegs of beer on the floor taking up a lot of room. The message was clear, If you are disabled you are not welcome here

We were playing an Irish music session. Craic was good. It was quiet up stairs some of the time. Could hear music really well. Need 5 minutes to wind down session at end of night. We were told to stop in the middle of a set of tunes, which isn't the done thing and very uncool.

Came here after a friend's recommendation the night before his wedding. Safe to say this was the biggest night out of the wedding weekend! The music was great, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was great. We luckily got a table in front of the bar where we could see the music and it was magic. Everybody was friendly and having a right laugh. Shame that the wedding was a write-off for us the next day...

The vibe is as authentic as it gets — lively, welcoming, and full of character. The music, the people, and the atmosphere make you feel like you’re experiencing the real Ireland. If you’re in Derry, this is a must-visit. You’ll walk in for a pint and end up staying for the experience.

My favourite bar. Super staff. Always good craic with the regulars and staff that rarely take themselves seriously. The best in local music acts and sometimes international acts passing through.

Live music venue, medium sized pub with plenty of seating at the front. Decorated uniquely inside that reminded me of Berlin Urban Art. There is a Piano in the front that is playable also. Toilets are small, so expect to wait when it is busy.

It's one of those bars that's really good when busy AND really good when quiet. Lovely staff, lovely customers - I really cannot rate this bar high enough. Great live music events too.

They don't do food but have great coffee and staff. Difficult things on different nights and the biggest screen in there outside area. I'm sure it's great for major events. Definitely a nice space to be in

Epic jazz bar with a very friendly staff and almost a family kind of atmosphere. Different events every day of the week, with some great bands as guests during Derry's festivals. Always good gigs with the resident band in Saturday. Wee place, great people.

Great authentic live music pub. A lot of jazz and rock and other unusual styles of music and people here. Great welcoming staff, great drinks selection and cocktails. Smallish inside but large outdoors area out back with food on Fridays.

Had a brilliant time at Sardinos Derry! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with great music and an even better crowd. The staff were friendly, quick with service, and made everyone feel right at home. Drinks were spot on — well-made and reasonably priced. Whether you’re stopping by for a few pints, cocktails with friends, or just a good night out, Sardinos is definitely the place to be in Derry. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a lovely experience here today 👍. Staff were so friendly and helpful. All our food was lovely and we all had something different - Cajun Salmon / Steak sandwich / Chicken Goujons and Chicken burger (which was huge!). The mixed berry cheesecake for dessert was lovely too. Service was super quick and staff members checked if we had everything or if we needed anything else. Thank you so much - we'll definitely be back and would recommend to everyone 😊

We had dinner and drinks here tonight and it was just brilliant. Food was lovely, the atmosphere was fantastic, staff all seemed to be happy and were on the ball. Above all the service was outstanding. When we had left I noticed I forgot something and we went back and the staff went above and beyond to find my item for me and it was very much appreciated and we will forever be grateful for the effort the manager and the server Georgia put in. Went with girls for the Boozy brunch, greeted and seated by friendly staff. Cocktails were lovely! Then food served, all great except the veg weren't great, over cooked and sour/off taste, mentioned to staff member who quickly offered an alternative, so all good in the end. Some more cocktails and we were nice and merry. Overall, great experience and good value for 3 cocktails, a main and a side. Would have liked some healthier options on the menu though!

Very enjoyable meal here. It's a nice atmosphere and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. A group of 3 we shared nachos for starter, which were pretty good. I had the pork ribs and steak-the steak was cooked as I asked and was good, and the ribs were good too. The chicken melt with white sauce was really nice too, and the chicken cewser was good too.

Freezing 🥶 the food and service was lovely but we ate upstairs and it was so cold and very uncomfortable eating , we did ask a staff member twice to turn the air-conditioning off and she said she'd try. Great historical pub. The food and service are top notched. I tried the spicy chicken penne pasta with garlic bread. Very flavorful and lasting heat for a cold day. Definitely filling and creamy. A lot of locals all ranges with different types of tables to be seated. A highly recommended spot to visit.

Quite hard to qualified… We’re a family of 4 in Ulster for one week and clearly, we’ve juste eaten our best meals since the beginning of ou trip… And to be honnnest other were good ! But those ones… I don’t have any word… my taste buds still are in heaven thanks to my Irish spice bag (but the Guinness pie of my wife and salmons for my sons were gorgeous too). Clearly The priceless place in londonderry.

Came here as we were recommended by our son-in-law and I can honestly say I was so disappointed I had soup which was okay. The Sunday lunches were nothing short of underwhelming. All main bits ie Yorkshire puddings and roasted potatoes were frozen veg very hard gravy with just like thick gloop Definitely wouldn’t come again.

Beautiful food, which was reasonably priced. The staff who served us were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed with both Derry and Armagh fans getting fed and watered before the match!! Guinness was great, and the wife enjoyed 2 beautiful cocktails!! We'll definitely be back when next up in Derry!

Popped in for lunch on a Thursday, pretty quiet, which seems odd for such a great place. Warmed up after a while. The food was delicious and good choice. Enjoyed the house ipa as well. Good selection of crafty stuff. Music for me was top notch as well, not often you get hear Joy Division in a pub.

We recently spent the day in Derry-Londonderry and went to the Taphouse for a late lunch. The restaurant was quiet, the welcome was warm. Drinks were good. Food was very good although I found the batter a bit heavy on the fish. However, the food was hot and was nicely presented. Would recommend.

food was fine and the interior is really fun. It took 50 minutes, asking three times, and going up to the bar to get waters for the group I was with. Waitstaff that we had asked for water stood at host station were sipping soda & talking with their friends instead of helping us out. In addition, we watched several groups come in, order, eat, and pay before we received drinks or food. Lack of care on the part of staff outweighed anything lovely with the rest of the place.

Cool venue, quiet at lunch. Fab gluten free food! Perfect calamari. Highly recommend I originally ordered soup and toastie on gluten-free bread. When I was informed they’d run out of bread I realized just how many gluten free options were actually on the menu. So I ordered their deep fried calamari and chips. Amazing!! Delicate batter, soft calamari and crispy chips. Vegan mayo for my dairy and egg intolerant sister too.

We were looking forward to eating here after it came highly recommended. They don't take reservations, so when we came in at 6:45 (kitchen closed at 8) and there were several empty tables out front, 1 large table inside and a few out back, we thought they could accommodate our small group of 4 for dinner. They explained they just couldn't possibly feed us as the kitchen was closing (in an hour and a half). We asked if some other establishment nearby was open later. Were told to try another bar/restaurant down the street. Arrived and the door man wouldn't let us in because our younger child (13y) was too young...a fact your staff member undoubtedly knew would prevent us from dining there either. We saw your man as we walked by looking for another place to eat. He laughed at us. Apparently sending hungry families on a futile hunt is good craic for your staff. It's okay, we had a lovely meal, dropped £200 at another establishment and laughed and laughed with the kind folks who wanted to welcome diners, not play games. We would never treat people like this in my home city. So sad you feel the need to.

The finest dining experience in Derry. Came here for the jazz festival a few weeks ago and had to come back. The food is top tier and also very affordable, plus the staff go above and beyond to cater to your every need. Will definitely be back!

Called here during Halloween weekend and the place was packed. Didn't think we'd get a table seeing as there was 11 of us, but we managed to get 2 booths upstairs. The barmaid was very polite and accommodating as was the waitress that looked after our food order. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Only negative was that while waiting on our desserts the manageress gave away our children's booth without so much as asking were we finished using it ( the kids were away playing pool ).

Staff were amazing here! Our group were split over two table as per covid rules but they made sure we were all served together and keep our rounds as one, never messing up a drink order once with all of us ordering different drinks. Even the manager was working the floor and was extremely helpful and having a laugh with us. Amazing staff, great music, lively atmosphere made for an absolutely great night

Used to love the metro but arrived this evening in a shirt, smart shorts and shoes. I was told that there is a no shorts policy. I can completely understand why flip flops are not appropriate bit seems a wee bit old-fashioned to say women are allowed to expose legs all year round but men never are. I recommend to the owner/ manager to go on a night outon a similar or significantly fancier place literally anywhere else in the world in summer- men can wear smart shorts. 😕

Walked into the restaurant and we were greeted in a warm manner and ushered to our seats. The ambiance is great. Food is very tasty and quite affordable and they have got varieties and dishes for vegan and low-fat they are patient with their customers. It’s literally Brickwork all over. From the walls to the menu and to the seating area. They had wonderful portraits too on the wall and they always have a special chef order for the day which is what we had and yes, the sirloin steak and onion rings was worth it and yes we are going back there again. Oh sorry that’s my man, he isn’t on the menu list. You are welcome

The Brickwork Bar has a casual, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. While visiting the city I found it and decided to try. The food was tasty, well prepared and the place was very clean. The service was friendly and sharp. Good vibe. The staff made me feel very welcomed. 👍👍

From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted warmly by the front-of-house staff and seated promptly. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, yet it carried an elegant, vibrant atmosphere. The clientele were well-dressed, mature, and clearly there for the fine dining experience rather than a quick bite. Every gentleman seemed to be in a suit, every lady beautifully dressed, it set the tone immediately: this was a classy establishment. There was no noise or commotion, no cheap chaos like you might find in the lower-end spots nearby. Instead, there was calm, style, and quiet anticipation of good food, and did they deliver! We were offered the set dinner menu, priced at £34.50 for two courses or £43 for three. At first glance, it might seem slightly on the pricier side, but let me assure you — it is worth every single penny. The menu was beautifully balanced with options that felt curated and seasonal. We decided to indulge and go for three courses each. Our selections were: Starters: Crispy Chicken Wings Mains: Pan-Seared Duck Breast and 8oz Fillet Steak (served with seasonal vegetables and skinny chips) Dessert: Milk Chocolate Truffle Cake Drinks: The house red for my wife, and the Browns Bound Beer for myself. The drinks were a perfect introduction. The house red was soft, smooth, slightly sweet yet mellow; a truly enjoyable glass of wine. The Browns Bound beer was light, subtly citrusy, and perfectly balanced; refreshing but sophisticated. Both drinks paired beautifully with our mains. The chicken wings arrived piping hot and wonderfully crisp; clearly freshly cooked, with just the right amount of coating and a beautifully balanced buffalo sauce that had flavour without overpowering heat. Then came the mains, and I can safely say these were both showstoppers. The Pan-Seared Duck Breast was, quite simply, perfection on a plate. Cooked flawlessly; tender, juicy, and full of depth. The accompanying condiments, including the rich red wine jus, added a beautiful fruity undertone that married perfectly with the duck. Every bite was an explosion of flavour; elegant, balanced, and sophisticated. It was so good that I’d happily return to Browns In Town just for this dish alone. The Fillet Steak was equally outstanding. I’ve had steaks in many restaurants across the UK and Europe, but very few get it this right. The meat was tender, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. What truly surprised me was the peppercorn sauce, it was the best I’ve ever had. Rather than being harsh or overly peppery, it was creamy, mild, and beautifully flavoured, it complemented the steak rather than dominating it. The seasoning, the quality of the meat, and the finesse of cooking; all of it showed the skill and care that goes into every dish here. By the time dessert arrived, I thought nothing could top the previous two courses but I was wrong. The Milk Chocolate Truffle Cake was divine. It had a light, mousse-like texture that simply melted in the mouth. It wasn’t overly sweet, and the accompanying vanilla ice cream complemented it beautifully without overpowering the chocolate flavour. It was the perfect way to end an exceptional meal. The service throughout was faultless. The staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely seemed passionate about what they do. They checked on us just enough without hovering, a balance that only truly great restaurants get right. The atmosphere remained relaxed and elegant from start to finish. Our total bill came to just over £100 for two people, which, considering the outstanding quality of the food, presentation, and overall experience, felt like exceptional value for money. You truly get what you pay for — top-quality ingredients, beautifully cooked dishes, and professional service. Browns In Town has now firmly secured its place as one of my top restaurants. 5 STARS! Overly priced, tiny portions. Pretentious. Not tasty. I don't care if the food is pretentious but it needs to be delicious. Pickled onion rings not even cooked through and just kind of weird. Chicken seasoned fries were overly seasoned and tasted of way too much msg(which I love when used correctly) Chicken supreme was a supreme let down. Everything was a bit sour, even the seafood chowder which was really just fish chowder. Peanut butter cheesecake was not very much like cheesecake, the ice cream was delicious but was such a tiny scoop. Service was practically non existent. Very disappointing. Plenty of good spots nearby... go to any of them instead.

Was some of the best food we had on our trip. My family enjoyed their starters, main, and desserts. They treated us very well and everyone was nice. Everything was cooked to perfection!

I brought a group of seven students in without a reservation, and they were nice enough to work things around and seat us right away. The service was fast and friendly and the restaurant is beautiful and well set up. I had the duck breast, which was tender and tasty, not to mention the Smithwicks I used to wash it down. Great restaurant in the heart of the city.

Don't be fooled by the sterile, hotel-like atmosphere. This place is outstanding and has all the authentic Irish flavors you're looking for. The steak and ale pie was among the best I've ever had, and no one in my party left unhappy. It's an excellent spot for dinner.

We stopped for lunch at The Exchange in Derry/Londonderry and were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the atmosphere. I ordered the tuna and cheese sandwich along with the seafood soup, and both dishes were great. The tuna and cheese sandwich was light and fluffy, with the tuna being well-seasoned. The cheese added a creamy richness that complemented the tuna perfectly. The seafood stew was equally as good with a variety of seafood in a creamy broth. Both were comforting and satisfying dishes that I would highly recommend to any seafood lover.

A must for your visit to Londonderry. This place was a bit bonkers and seemed like organized chaos. We did not have a reservation (suggest you should try and get one) so we waited at the bar for a table to come up. Tons of people (read fun people watching!) We recommend the salt and Chili pepper chicken bites, the burger, and we loved to the last one, the garlic potato cubes. Fun place with so much going on. We were there on a Saturday night in August.

Loved the entire experience here. The ambience was great. The service was quick and good. The person waiting our table did provide recommendations. The Samosa chaat delicious and definitely a must have. Pizza and Mango Lassi was also delicious. Overall definitely a must visit place if you're looking for Indian and Italian dining experience at same time you must try this place.

Best Indian food in Northern Ireland! We were pleasantly surprised by the flavours, quantity and experience here, would definitely come back for the chicken lababdar curry a 10/10! They were also halal friendly which was an added bonus for us.

Wonderful restaurant for perfect Indian food. This widely loved Indian restaurant in Derry city features a classic selections of kabab sizzlers and wide varieties of Authentic Curries. Service was impeccable. But the best part was the Chicken tikka Sizzler, the chicken was so juicy and Chicken Dum biryani was so Authentic and delicious. Must recommended this place.

Made an online booking which was very easily done. Phoned a few hours later to alter the booking and told the staff on the phone we needed a wheelchair accessible table to which she replied 'no problem'. Party arrived at the restaurant to find a set of stairs leading to the dining room. No lift, no stair lift, no downstairs seating. Surely the girl on the phone should've twigged that if we needed a wheelchair accessible table, we'd also need wheelchair access to the restaurant itself, but no, she failed to mention this on the call. We managed to get everyone upstairs eventually. Food was nothing to get excited about. Service was poor. We were given starters we didn't order and there was confusion with the mains. when the waitress brought the mains down she called them something different so we commented that we didn't order that, to which we were told 'yes you did'. Staff were not very helpful. Wouldn't return

5 stars and more… a lovely restaurant with very flavourful food. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Charlene was very sweet and accommodating. The owners are amazing; Anish and his wife were really humble and it was great chatting with them. Really happy with the over all service and food. Would recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine. 😍

I stayed on the bottom floor as I was getting takeaway vs. dining in. I ordered the garlic naan with Tikka Marsala and chicken vindaloo. It came with two different rice dishes with different seasonings. It was good, not the best I had, but good. The naan was a little too overcooked, but it still helped with the spice.

They cook very slowly. Tom yum soup is similar to it, but definitely not the same. Boiled dumplings are not tasty. We waited an hour for a kid’s hot dog (just a bun and a sausage) and chips. The prawns were tasteless, the chef apparently has his own opinion on the types of frying meat, the steak is tough, the chips and mushrooms were so hot that it burned my mouth

Food ordered for delivery, some of the order was wrong. Had to wait another 35mins for the correct order. Got a call from the takeaway to send back the food that I shouldn't have received as the chef didn't know what the problem was. Food was dry and poor quality.

I Hadn't been to the Mandarin Palace in years and can safely say I will be definitely eating there more often. The food was super tasty and the service was great. The portion sizes are massive and the staff are friendly.

I've ordered honey beef, chiken chinese style, onion ring. Beef was fine but came in cold. Onion ring was so disgusting I almost puked in one bite. Chicken chinese style i couldn't ate it after one bite too. Hope I will not get sick 🤞

Very good food. A bit overpriced however the Asian waiter(all the others were Irish) who set the tone for everyone was extremely rude. He destroyed a potentially nice dinner into a long suffering meal time. This guy needs to stay away from the business. We will not return. His attitude seems to rub off on to the other staff who really don't seem to care about friendly service.

Super tasty food you can enjoy while seated in a quirky old bus overlooking the moored boats. Friendly staff and an overall nice atmosphere. While a bit pricey, I'd recommend upgrading the fries!

Well deserved 4.7 stars on Google. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, burger was good and service quick. They have inside and outside seating. Not the cheapest place, though. Bit the quality of the food was excellent!

Popped into Pyke and Pommes for lunch whilst visiting Derry and walking along the riverside. And what a revelation it was. We went to the bus, not the restaurant. Was lovely atmosphere, great service, and the burger was absolutely amazing! The tacos were superb too. Can't wait to return!!! Wonderful stuff.

Absolutely a must-visit if you're in Derry! The food is so delicious that I’ve been here twice, and I’m pretty sure the chef sprinkles a bit of magic into each dish. I've had the chicken and beef burgers, and let me tell you, they’re so good they'll make you want to hug the chef. The fries? Fresh, tasty, and likely the reason potatoes haven’t gone extinct yet. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

Dined in the Silver Street Bar area of the River Inn. What a treat! Good food, reasonably priced. Efficient service and pleasant atmosphere all in a Covid safe environment. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Derry City centre.

Good pub/bar showing live sport. It also has a club at the back and can be very busy at the weekends. Bar staff were very friendly.

Oldest pub in Derry. Interesting fact: the bar only accepts sterling coins. Will not take euro coins ?!? Gave the bartender €10 euros (bills) for a rum and sprite (no pineapple juice or lemonade) for 6.25 € and got back £3.50 sterling pounds in coins.

Hopped in out of the rain, table straight away, no delay with orders/drinks, and the beef& Guinness pie, served with a side order of champagne was spectacular.

The food was excellent, as always in the Dungloe bar. They are really consistent in terms of quality. The prices are good, considering the quality of the food. We had the salt and chilli chicken and the chicken stack, both with salt and chilli chips. There is a very extensive menu, and we have tried quite a few of the dishes in the past. It never disappoints. The staff are really helpful and efficient at their job. Will definitely return and highly recommend!!!

Large that serves food all day has a good varied menu with waiter service for food and drinks Portions are big and they do that thing most pubs in Derry do where you choose a free side so I struggled to finish my meal ( not complaining) Dungloe has a better side choice than most pubs in Derry Large bar on 3 levels so even when busy they can squeeze you in

We had an amazing day here Sunday sept.29th.from the moment we walked in staff were so friendly ,it was bust so took a seat at the bar and were called within 10 mins to our table . The choice on the menu was so good it was hard to choose lol.. I did end up getting The spicy chicken pasta and an amazing cheesecake afterwards

Went for lunch after a spot of shopping. Had never heard of the place but glad I was taken there. The food didn't disappoint. I had rump & ribs served with peppercorn sauce and chips. It was splendid!Will be going there again for sure!

Perfect spot for a Guinness after the Bogside walking tour! My son recommends the nacho chips with chili, I got just a bowl of chips which were hot and crisp, my daughter enjoyed the soup of the day, which was vegan-friendly and hearty.

Loved Friday night here in Derry. Wishing more people were around. Amazing band playing some classics. 30's crowd tonight for drinks and a sing along, but earlier for dinner was a general dinner crowd. This could be a great dance bar with a bigger crowd. P.s it is now named Broody Hen

Cannot recommend at all, ordered 2 light bites and a starter, they cannot manage to serve the food at the same time, takes them 45 minutes to prepare a "steak sandwich" in an empty restaurant, meat on the sandwiches looked like the waste of the regular steaks they serve, don't even ask how you want your steak done and waiters sneaking, around looking over your shoulder, making you feel uncomfy, oh yeah, and for 12 quid, the bits of beef were charcoal, as were 2/3 of the onions and the mushrooms you had to look for with a magnifying glass.. I only ate it, as I had to pay for it as for the toilet, you might want to use some cleaner to get the stains of months from the metal

So thankful for the staff being able to accommodate us in this evening! Brilliant food and drinks and the staff were so helpful and lovely. Can't wait to come back down again and visit.

Beautiful place. Great sight for pictures, good music, great food and lovely staff. Their live band is second to none and I have come to love that place greatly. Every visit is a memory. Their prices are good too but not recommended for a daily visit 😋😋😋. The furnitures are so so beautiful and well placed. Looking forward to shooting a musical video there soon.

The Rocking Chair is well worth a visit. Even though it was very busy when we arrived, the service was 1st class and the staff were very helpful and efficient. We were a group of 8 and had a selection of main courses, all of which were faultless. They have a great menu which is reasonably priced. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the city in the morning, due to its great location near the city walls, and had a very tasty meal. The burgers are very generously sized, fresh and absolutely delicious! We tried the Louisiana Smash and Rocker burgers which were both fantastic and a bit creative in terms of flavours. The Korean fries and garlic chips were great too. For kids - There is a very good choice of 5 or so dishes on the kids menu, our daughter loved the sausages. Atmosphere - calm and welcoming in the dining area, we were made to feel welcome with our child. There is also an outdoor deck with nice views. Service - quick, helpful and with a smile. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal or a drink.

Popped in for lunch on our day trip to Derry. Lovely barman made me a green tea with the bag I provided. Had chicken melter with chips and the chicken curry with chips and of course a couple of Guiness. Great place to learn about the history of Derry 😊

Loved the food we ordered, we had a second thought of dining. We planned to have a drink only but ended up having a meal. We actually enjoyed it. Not much diners though. Try the Korean Chicken, you will love it and they serve with big portions.

Always go there for lunch when ever I feel like eating good, healthy and tasty food. They have friendly atmosphere and the the ambiance and the setup is great. Affordable meals too and quick delivery of your meal. So I came back here for lunch two weeks after and I am still happy about my meal. This is a before and after of my meal. I was so full after. The place is always filled up, wonder how many chefs they have in the kitchen. Their meal is always on time and quite tasty.

I’ve been a costumer of Romeo’s for over 15 years. Amazing food, big portions and reasonably priced . The staff are amazing, shout out to Andrea who is always so friendly, and also shout out to the delivery drivers, food always arrived warm. So many brilliant dishes to choose from, I love the chicken box, mixed kebab box, pizza and carbonara. Their milkshakes are amazing too. Definitely recommend

Had a few bits off the menu. Nachos to start, absolutely stunning, would have fed 3 people. A pepperoni pizza, the legendary burger was amazing and came with a huge dip on the side. The pasta carbonara really saucy and full of flavour. A huge chicken box and Mexican beef, this was amazing quality food. The milkshakes are a must have for dessert!! Amazing 10/10!

Good sized Next in Lisnagelvin shopping centre. It has a homeware section as well as selling mens, womens and children's clothes. The shop has toilets and a lift. There is coffee shop on the first floor. Plenty of free parking.

Always come to this subway when in derry , never again. The young fella tall and thin ..greeted us with WHAT DO YOU WANT. We told him what bread ....one piece of salami and cheese ...asked for mayo .. we DON'T have any ....OK we will have to see what sauce we could take..we asked for tea ....he gave us tea with milk ...we wanted black tea ...asked for meat balls he shouted HI! .This fella is useless and will drive customers away..so rude .The Manager is excellenthe hot us black tea and forks to eat with. ..

There is a woman works there in her fifty (sorry forget her name as was 4 months ago) but she was amazing. Really enjoyed my experience there because of her. I walked in and she helped me right away and spent a lot of time with me and gave me valuable advice and got me kitted out for my sons christening. Made the whole process so easy and made me feel valued...thanks again

Very well designed shop and atmosphere, but would appreciate if it coffee shop have door close so it fragrance is not smells through top floor. I felt the range of cloths available at least for the male is very limited and would like more range.

Love it when staff are helpful. Great support from staff name Kathy. Needed a suit, she fitted me out with a few and ended up with one everyone commenting it. Been back again at Sales and same person for another suit.

After spending £100 on clothes for my son decided to have a coffee afterwards in coffee shop. All the buns are on display but dare not lift one to put it on your tray because Gerard the server will be very angry and rudely get on to you even though you are a paying customer.. there should be a sign to say not to touch the buns on display and the staff should have better manners and ways of dealing with customers.

A lovely restaurant next to the Foyle. The staff were really tentative and the food was fantastic. Presentation was amazing and the food was really fresh (I had the mussels). The menu was balanced with some great dishes from the grill and for vegetarians. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

As a visitor to the City I went to the Foyle Seafood Festival last week and had an amazing dish of Salt & Chili Squid. We returned to eat the next day and was told this dish was sold out. We went next door to the Exhange and planned to return to Custom House this week before we left the City We went yesterday a week later and again was told Salt & Chili Squid was not available - Friday evening at 6/7? Thought this was most unusual. We decided to eat there as it was raining. Both of us had Fish & Chips. Everytime I went to the eat the fish I got a whiff of Chinese food. The batter was so hard and when one opened it there was a layer of yellow sauce inside and a very small strip of actual fish. It was the worse fish and chips I ever had.

Went there today and got a private dining room for my cousin confirmation and the staffs were very helpful and the FOOD Were DELICIOUS and the location of the building is a great location for the view of The peace bridge.

Wasn't the place for me, food was fanatic but over priced for portion size, the restaurant layout and atmosphere was great and the location to the city centre works well for after drinks.

Third time I've used this amazing company and I'm blown away by the professionalism and attention to detail. Had the casinos and DJ for our Directors retirement bash!! Absolutely amazing! It was only when we arrived at the hotel to decorate at 5pm did we realise that the casino tables would need set up before the meal. I rang the emergency number in a panic and the guy reassured me that everything would be fine and they would get there asap. (I had booked them for 9.30pm). Amazing, they were in and set up by 7.30pm even though it was a 90 min drive and that was the DJ also!!. The best bit.....NO EXTRA CHARGE!!! When I tried to pay the man extra he said he knew how important the night was to me and it was his pleasure to help me out. This is why I booked again and again for my sister's 40th and for a work colleagues daughters wedding. 5 star every time. Wouldn't dream of going elsewhere!!!0

Very badly run place. The guy who owns it rips off acts and clients... Hires people on exchange student schemes and eu grants and rips off local acts and people. Stay clear and book direct with acts as you will save 100s of pounds

Ran a casino night with Entertainment Ideas as a fundraiser. Great service, croupiers and tables were well presented and were more than happy to accommodate people with different abilities on the games.

Had the 6oz Burger with Garlics, and I'll be honest, it wasn't great at all. Patty was bland, very little seasoning or moisture to it. The bread dry, and the salad leaves didn't react to the heat of the patty to well. Top Tip: Don't use old limp rocket because it just looks disgusting when exposed to heat, iceberg all the way. The onion rings were chewy, so, didn't eat those. The garlics were passable having been dipped in a good pepper sauce, which is served with a burger? Make it make sense? The bacon and cheese topping, forgettable. Was expecting rashers, but instead got a few bacon bits, cut backs I guess. We were seated and asked 3 times if we were getting a drinks order by 3 different people, which smacks of a lack of station discipline. Summary: Cheap enough, but not really a dish I would ever order again from here, maybe try something else.

Popped in and only had a short wait for a seat after being told 30-40 minutes. The staff were kind and quick, and we had the Sunday dinner. We both had the lamb, which was a bit tough, but the flavour was lovely. Good stop for a quick, fairly inexpensive bite.

This was my first time in The Old Docks Bar and Grill, its a great place to go for a late lunch, I can highly recommend the burgers they are divine. The staff were very attentive even down to explaining the different types of beers that were available and as I wasn't driving that day it would have been rude to refuse a pint or two of their ale on tap. Great place, great atmosphere and decor, will definitely be back. Thanks folks..

We are there last night and we had two waitresses and were both wonderful. They both went out of their way to check allergens for me since I can't eat dairy or gluten and they had a separate gluten free menu as well. I don't have any reactions from my food and it was absolutely delicious!!!! Highly recommend it!

Busy restaurant. It looked good from the outside. Was okay inside. Very noisy with several birthdays being celebrated. Food was okay. I ordered the fish & chips, the others ordered a steak pie and salt & pepper chicken. The pie was warm but a bit cold in the center. The fish batter was too thick and greasy so it was easier to take the fish out and eat that on its own and it tasted better like that. Service with the drinks & food was a bit like dining at Wagamamas. Overall it was okay and some improvements need to be made to the food and service.

Food was good. My friend got The guineas and meat pie which it was delicious and I've got grilled salmon and it was good. They had live music if you are a fan of load place & live music.

Got the bang bang chicken and my wife got chicken goujons, the bang bang chicken didn’t come with bang bang sauce but came with a honey and mustard dip, the goujons according to the menu came with a garlic sauce but it was sour cream. The presentation was good for the food but unless the taste is great there’s not much point having great presentation. The staff were quite good but we were waiting quite a while to get a drink. Also we decided to have a go at the poker machine at the bar but we were constantly bumped into by the staff with no apologies as it’s located to close to the bar and would be better areas for this. The place is beautiful, it was quiet for a Friday night. The guy playing the music was playing good songs and a nice volume. Was a little disappointed but altogether it was fine for what it was! Wanted to give it 3 starts but couldn’t due to the quality of the food

Charming hotel. The parking was through the shopping center. It was a bit awkward to unload, given no designated place to park and unload. We had to illegally park to unload. That is not the hotel's fault, given they are in the middle of the city.

The staff were very accomodating even though we showed up fairly late for dinner on a Saturday night. We are traveling from Melbourne Australia and rate the food here very highly. Reasonably priced for high quality dishes. It’s always tricky traveling with two little ones but the staff made us feel right at home and nothing was too much an ask. Thank you for an experience we won’t forget!

We’ve visited while on a trip with friends. Martin was such a gentleman, greeted us at the door, made sure we were welcomed. We’ve had a few drinks and chats. Nice and warm atmosphere 😊 will definitely be back when visiting Derry again

The manager is clearly out of his depth, unprepared for a busy night and hasn't trained his staff properly. We waited 35 minutes for drinks. He's advised they were very busy but they had had alot of staff, it was just chaotic and the manager lost control. I seen him shouting at staff and customers. Very poor form

The food was delicious 🤤 the drinks on the spot, especially the local IPAs and to top it all off Martin is some man to make your stay comfortable. All other staff also really nice 💯

I ate here on 31/1/25 with my daughter, before going to the Millennium Forum to see Deirdre O’Kane…and greatly wished I hadn’t!!! We ordered food and I asked what was gluten free, as I have coeliac disease. I was shown on the menu all food labelled with ’c’ and ordered the bbq wings and the falafel-both ordered gluten free. When the food arrived the bread with the falafel looked really nice, not the usual gluten free bread I normally get-my daughter had a bite and thought it was too nice for gluten free bread! I asked our server if it was definitely gluten free, to which he replied yes. I still wasn’t convinced and asked a young woman who passed our table-she went off to check and came back with another yes-I replied, “Really! It’s really nice!” I ate the meal and 20 minutes into the theatre performance I just managed to run to the disable toilet before I collapsed and spent the next hour and 10 minutes on the toilet and throwing up-a violent evacuation of the food which clearly contained gluten, as this is my usual reaction…we missed the remainder of the show and my daughter managed to get me in a cab back to our hotel, where I spent the majority of the night on the bathroom floor, frequently going to the toilet and writhing in agony. I have tried several times to phone the restaurant but just keep getting the answer phone, we even tried coming to speak to a manager around 11:30am the next morning, but the place was locked up with the shutters down, even though on the website it stated the opening time was 10am. Clearly I survived the experience but I felt ill for days after this-others with other allergies would not be so lucky. I am just wondering if me being fed the wrong food is a genuine mistake or a distinct lack of staff training-i spoke to the manager eventually who assured me he would speak to the owner-nothing…I’ve sent two messages via the website-nothing…obviously no one cares, they just took the £50…very poor 👎🏻 Alison

Went for our staff Xmas night out. Booked a table for 5 and left £50 deposit. Never again! Worst place I have ever eaten in. It was £30 for 2 courses and it was like canteen food, sorry that's an insult to school canteen food. It was obviously cooked by people who know nothing about cooking food or presentation of food. Vile is all I can say. We ate some of it because we were starving. Had to wait 20 mins for someone's desert after everyone else's was finished. When we complained at the end saying we weren't happy the manager was down right rude with an aggressive attitude, quite frightening to be honest. Can't believe we spent this much money in such a dive. I will never be back and would avoid at all costs. The only good thing about this place was the guy who served us. He was a Belfast lad from the Shortstrand, a gentleman with a good sense of humour.

We just had drinks, so I cannot vouch for the food, and listened to an amazing live band. There were plenty of seats while other pubs were packed. No one harassed us to order more drinks. The band didn’t accept tips, and they also declined my offer to buy them a drink. Love this place!

Had Brunch in the Brass Neck recently, was really lively great craic, food was beautiful and cocktails stunning, not everyone in the group was keen on having cocktails so they were able to have wkd and btls of beer instead which was great. We were not rushed off our tables ( like i have experienced in other places) and able to enjoy a full day of music the singers where great and got all groups involved. The staff were all lovely.

Went here on a staff do, and have to say will not be returning. Ordered turkey and ham, dinner was just ok, gravy was like water and dessert was abysmal. Chocolate brownie as per picture could not even eat it. Staff had a terrible attitude and were walking around and chatting with friends. We had to go up to the bar after waiting over 40 minutes for someone to take out order and ask for a waitress. When we phoned to book we were advised we could have table for the night and as soon as our meal was over a staff member who was very rude came over to us and said people were queuing to get in and we were taking up a table and asked us to leave. I advised her when we booked we were advised we could have table for the night, and she said well no I don't know who said that but you'll have to move. She then said we could move over to beside the door to stand. We spent over £200 in food and drinks at this point and when we complained about dessert staff member just shrugged her shoulders and said well what do you want me to do about it. Well saying we left at this point and carried on our night elsewhere. Music was really good with fella on acoustic guitar and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Will definitely not be returning and would not recommend.

Probably my worst experience dining out. We came in at 19:30 with a group and at 21:15 just a couple of us received their food, which, on top of all, was the wrong order. Above that, the food was mediocre. At around 21:40 the rest of the meals started crawling in. It was just a big chaos honestly.

Visit twice. Altho i only had nachos, it was really good. Staff was friendly. Only toilets can do a little update now and then. 🙈

Lovely pint of Guinness and a pub that is dog friendly, there aren't many on the island of Ireland. Especially good in this case as our dog is called Harry 😁

They no longer serve food and lie on their website and have a menu. We got there and they said they shut down their kitchen. Terrible place. Don’t Go.

Dirty Harry's, the best bar in the waterside for atmosphere and service. Guaranteed a great night's fun. Maggie the bar maid has a wealth of knowledge on the beverages they serve and is able to recommend what you need 🙌 10/10

Food was amazing. The member of staff was excellent who served us he is a bonus to the restaurant we had a small child with us the staff could not do enough for us .

Amazing place, the staff are super friendly and the prices are cheap. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice place with a positive atmosphere and good company.

Good decent sized menu, if you are hungry would recommend at least two courses, as the main course was tastey the portion size was smaller than I expected it wasnt stingey but nor was it generous

A true Irish experience in every sense of the word I walked in with my daughters during our country wide tour & immediately we were greeted with hello’s & welcome’s not only from the bartender Aemon, but from the 5 patrons on the bar.. After 6 hours i had been invited to someone’s house for dinner, 3 people worked on finding me an airbnb because the drive to Galway was too far & even had offers to stay in people’s houses! (Ps.. we stayed 3 doors away at an airbnb owned by one of their friends) Meeting all of these people and having conversations about everything from politics to food and everything in between! A true Irish pub is all about the people, the craic & the pints.. this place exceeding every expectation that i had for a corner pub! Slainte to all of my new friends

Visited while on holiday. Fantastic wee locals pub. Very friendly welcome from the locals and bar staff (despite me being a Kilmarnock FC fan). Cracking pint if Guinness as well.

Great Pub in a great location. Went there after a football match, friendly people and good drinks.

Was in last night and a young bar man with black hair had 0 manners and 0 customer service skills not to mention the appalling bar skills. Paid for 2 cocktails and got 1 and a half. When I tried to chat to him about it he ignored me completely. All in all bar staff were very rude in my opinion but the bouncer was a great fella. Will not be back.

A wonderful bar but poorly managed. Oliver and Patrick we're very unprofessional. Running a show here involves a rental price. This is extortionate but also very unfortunate as this prevents the arts scene from thriving in Derry. Many promoters struggle to make money as a result.

My partner and I ordered 2 cocktails, it took 20 minutes before we got them... Now, the cocktails were the worst we have ever had. Just watered down vodka in a whisky glass. Overpriced p!ss

Really disappointed. The least busy bar in town on a Saturday evening, yet it was nearly impossible to get a drink. I stood at the bar for 10 minutes while the only bartender mixed cocktails for another customer. Eventually, a second bartender arrived and asked for the order of a fella who had just arrived at the bar. I told him that he should be serving me first, but was quickly informed that the other customer was the DJ. This was enough to clarify the situation. We left. Won't be returning.
