Fine dining restaurant
Eala Bhan is a relaxed restaurant located in the heart of Sligo Town, specializing in locally caught seafood and prime steaks. The charismatic owner, Anthony Gray, has turned his dream into reality with this establishment. The restaurant has won numerous awards, including best restaurant in Connacht. Its cool urban brasserie bistro decor and well-spaced tables create a welcoming ambiance.
If I could give this restaurant 12 out of 10, I would. The food (all locally sourced) was absolutely delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. They have a great selection of whiskey. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were fortunate enough to get a table by the window looking out onto the river. Although quite pricey, they serve 5 star food that is definitely value for money, especially the pre-theatre menu (from 17:00-18:20). This was our favourite restaurant in Sligo!

A fantastic meal by the river side in wonderful Sligo, fitting given the name inclusive of swans meandering downstream on arrival. We enjoyed an absolute fantastic meal full of bountiful and locally sourced flavours. A pleasure in all. The only downside was the portion size being on the large size, fit for a burly Irish farmer of which I am unfortunately not. This widely celebrated restaurant has the Michelin Guide firmly in its sights and with a modernised, yet charming interior refit and streamlining of an already spectacularly organic and native produce this restaurant will secure the right praise at a higher level. Thank you, we will return.

Disclaimer: I received no incentive or kickback for this review. My family and I had a wonderful tea this afternoon. Even before our reservation, Anthony reached out to make sure there were no dietary restrictions or allergies. Upon arrival, the staff had our table ready, with a highchair by the front window. Our waitress was top notch and quickly brought us a beautiful spread of tea, coffee, sandwiches and treats. It was a very special treat for us. We would happily eat here again in the future! 10/10

We dined at The Ella Bhan during our European vacation, and it did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, carefully crafted dishes made from the heart. The staff were warm, courteous, and genuinely friendly. We only wish we could dine there again! Highly recommended. The desert was out of this world. We almost didn’t eat it as it was an art piece.

We went for the tasting menu. 8 courses of Devine food And they customised our desert for our anniversary. The best food and service I’ve had ever

Eala Bhan is the best cuisine I ve experienced in The Wild Atlantic Way Area. They deserves every compliments. Very warm welcoming staff, helpful waiters and the kitchen team. They are taste magicians I guess. I ate fish, meat and chicken at the same menu and all of them were a masterpiece. Must try point if you in Sligo and I highly recommend.
Cemre B — Google review
The staff and chef are excellent, some very creative dishes everyone should like. Everything locally sourced and it's very good, great job. Everyone we knew over the past three days have been there more than once, so a good cross section of us truly enjoyed. Just some minor things, steak not the best but very good, some minor things but we will surely be back.

Eclectic restaurant
Coach Lane Restaurant @ Donaghy's Bar is a charming and popular spot in Sligo, established since 1994. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring seafood, steaks, and pasta. The downstairs bar provides a relaxed atmosphere with red-checkered tablecloths and serves comforting dishes like fish pie and beef-and-Guinness stew.
An absolute gem! We ate at the Coach Lane Grill and Pub on a Monday evening and we will definitely be back. The staff are extremely friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Best Burger Ever and I had the Yummy Fisherman’s Pie. The dishes’ names really set one’s expectations high but they most certainly did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks.

It was a friend’s Birthday and our Waitress Nicole made it extra special with her exceptional service. Food was outstanding and very generous portions. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Very happy customer.

Would've given it 7 stars if I could. The service was impeccable - the guys opened the lane for us and our two doggies. The guiness was fresh and the food was unbelievable! Irish pub cosine elevated to a Michelin star reataurant level. Highly recommended!

Absolutely spectacular!!! This bread was the best bread I've ever tasted. It was even better than anything I've ever made myself. I can't believe how good it was. The lamb shank was very tasty and the carrot and parsnip puree was out of this world. I'm not usually a fan of puree, but this was fantastic. The hot red cabbage was a nice balance to the lamb shank, potatoes mash and gravy. I must say, this place gets 5 stars from me!!!

Visited with my sister and fiance and I have to say 10/10 no notes at all. I was stuck between two wines they brought a taster of both. I ordered steak rare got it perfectly rare served with mash, baked potatoes, creamed carrots and pickled red cabbage absolutely delicious didn't finish it all. Despite being busy the server was diligent and checked in at all the right intervals I can say expensive as it was the quality and service was UNMATCHED would happily pay the same money again in a heartbeat but would go in hungrier next time so as to try their dessert menu

Professional feeling restaurant establishment. Feels like a good place for family and business occasions. Nice, friendly and accommodating staff.

Great spot! We've been a couple of times already and plan on going back. The restaurant was closed in January, but the food at the pub is also great! I had the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious, the breast was perfectly breaded and still moist, which is no easy feat. It was laid on a bed of pasta and well made tomato sauce, and covered with cheese. I loved the detail that they give you a spoon for the linguini, which in many places (even Italian ones) I have to ask for in order to eat it properly. The fish pie had a lovely filling and sauce, and the apple pie for dessert was scrumptious. The day was cold, but the place was warm and had a lovely fireplace on. Espresso Martini was well made. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely brilliant restaurant, great selection of seafood and steaks. Our waitress was amazing, didn't catch her name unfortunately but hopefully she sees this, the manager was brilliant as well. We were well looked after and the atmosphere was perfect. Well done guys

Seafood restaurant
Hooked Restaurant in Sligo offers a romantic dining experience with artisan, locally sourced food. The restaurant is known for its high-quality seafood and other dishes made from fresh ingredients. It's a great place to enjoy a delicious meal while visiting Sligo. Additionally, the area boasts several other top-rated restaurants and bakeries that offer a variety of culinary delights, making it an ideal destination for food enthusiasts.
Hooked Restaurant was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, with fast and efficient service that made everything seamless. The chicken tenders with their signature sauce were a standout, perfectly crispy and full of flavor and the chicken burger was equally delicious. The ambience was modern and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
Sanito P — Google review
As seen on TikTok, is what you see on the menu, and written on many things. Now, we didn't see the food on TikTok before coming to this place. We did book, before coming, but it wasn't that busy for a regular dinner service and there were enough seats left for people to come in, if they wanted to. Now, we wanted to try all the recommended food, so we ordered them all, the fried chicken, the loaded fries, the fish and chips. Now I have to say, I wasn't impressed by the food at all. While being the the restaurant, I watched several of the videos on TikTok, and people described it as it is the food you should absolutely have. My question remains, what happened? Did I get an unlucky day? Or did the cook have a bad day? The chicken was dry, not moist at all. Flavour was fine, but you still want the juices to be good. The loaded fries, it wasn't loaded. And the fish and chips, certainly not the amount I would normally see on a plate. I was rather disappointed after the fact that I read about the 'as seen on TikTok' and the food just being average. Now, if I would have seen the videos of tiktok before, I would have come and tried the food. But I am not really impressed by it. The sizes of the food, very little. If you have a dish called loaded fries, it should be loaded, and not have 4 pieces of chicken and a few fries and then call it loaded. We could easily eat 3 dishes per person, and still finish another dessert afterwards. As for the service, it wasn't busy in the restaurant at all, and yet it was just dinner time. The waiters had no idea what they were doing, they kept going back to one colleague who could answer our questions. We had the idea there were multiple new waiters working that particular day and therefore, although you have 3 wakfers walking around, none of them had any knowledge on the menu or the food ingredients or allergies. A bit pity, also, despite the fact that you have more colleagues working, it would take rather long to get your newly ordered drinks. I do not want to be complaining about the people as everyone always tries their best. The amount of times taking our drink order wrong, or even forgetting it, was something that is mention able. But like written, maybe they had all new employees that day. The atmosphere is great though, the restaurant looks good! Very cosy, and good looks, I like it very much. The biggest question is, would I recommend this place? For the food? No, I wouldn't, just average food, for an average price. For the service, nothing in particular. For the place, good location, good relaxing place, meeting interesting other customers. It could have been me, maybe I didn't see the viral videos on this restaurant yet...
Lukas X — Google review
Lovely afternoon buzz about the place and very pleasant staff who were attentive and polite. Unfortunately the food didn’t keep the pace. Dirty fries were very poorly cooked frozen chips with 4 small pieces of frozen goujon scattered on top and a smidgen of peanut sauce. Looked better than it tasted.

Great food here. Welcomed by all friendly staff. Lots of food options to choose from. Food was fresh, warm and tasted great! Highly recommended!

On a visit to Sligo I was looking for a dinner recommendation and Hooked was mentioned. It did not disappoint! I had the Korean Chicken main for dinner and a fabulous cocktail. The restaurant has a gorgeous vibe, the staff are fantastic and not hovering over you either. The tables are not on top of each other so there is lots of room. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Sligo
Ann-Marie F — Google review
Roughly 6:15PM and already hungry, went to Hooked as recommended by someone. Very few people in the restaurant. Had to wait to be seated, the young waiter had to asked his manager, twice. First, because I haven't booked, was asked to go outside (sorry I'm from south of France, it was too chilly for me to seat and eat in the shade) and a second time to report to him my answer. So, he let me get the table just beside the door and asked for me to leave before 7:20PM. Of course, I'm here for a quick bite and I'm alone and have no one to talk to, so yep I will be quick. Finished my (very tasty) korean friend chicken in less than 30mn, had to see the manager greet every table except mine. Had to witness 2 groups (3 and 5 people) be seated without booking with lot of ease. Had to wait 10mn after asking the young waiter for the bill ... I did my part but Hooked didn't. Never felt as unwelcomed as in here. I was so upset and disappointed, I left the restaurant crying... not my first time alone in a restaurant in Ireland, not my first time as I solo-traveled in Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium... and twice already in Ireland in various cities and counties (Dublin, Galway, Cork, Killarney, Dingle...). Not recommended for solo travellers.

Good place to have lunch. We ordered different plates and all were very good. Nice location also. Would recommend it

As soon as we stepped inside, I was immediately taken by the stunning environment and elegant decorations that perfectly set the mood for a memorable dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with every detail thoughtfully placed to create a charming ambiance. While the service was a bit slower than expected, it didn’t overshadow the wonderful time we had. Among the dishes we ordered, the Bang Bang Chicken was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, and the Fish and Chips was equally impressive, crisp and perfectly cooked. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and despite the slight delay in service, the fantastic food and beautiful decor made it truly enjoyable. Wishing the restaurant continued success!

Irish pub
Gastropub
Located in Sligo, Ireland, Hargadon Bros is a historic pub established in 1868. The pub features wood-paneled snugs, stone floors, clay jugs, and bottled alcoves that create a charming atmosphere. Known for its flawless preservation and warm ambiance in the afternoons, Hargadon Bros is popular among locals and visitors alike. The pub offers delicious locally sourced food and a friendly staff.
We stayed in Sligo for three days, and this was our favorite pub. There's just something about it that made us feel right at home. Brooding and cozy at the same time, perhaps? :) The first time we were there we ordered a charcuterie board w/ cheese and garlic/cheese fries. Loved it and came back for the second time the next day, and I got to try their strawberry feta salad and their pecan coffee mouse. The next time we're Sligo, that's where we will go for dinner.
Maria — Google review
Outstanding meal. The honey and lime baked salmon was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the peas and carrots were crisp and fresh. The spinach and parmesan salad was a small side but fresh as well. Pecan coffee mousse was light and flavourful. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was very cozy. All around great experience.
John E — Google review
Amazing atmosphere with live music. Very kind staff. The pub has a very cool traditional wooden interior. We even got a separate dining room if that's what you want. The lamb stew was amazing. I just would have liked a bit more mashed patatoes in it. It was pretty busy, so if you are a bif group, I would recommend making a reservation beforehand. They immediately offered us a free bottle of cold tap water, which was very convenient. They have baby portions, which are a very nice thing to have. Especially if you have a baby so you don't have to share. I would definitely recommend this place when visiting Slego!
HVG S — Google review
A cool, older pub in Sligo. The drinks and food were excellent, The ambiance was great, staff was friendly and attentive, and the space was clean. Highly recommend a stop in.

Delicious meal and fast service! Really enjoyed the seafood chowder and brown bread.
Claudia F — Google review
It was recommended for food by another bar in Sligo, but my husband's hake, mashed potatoes and snap peas a disappointment. Hake dry and mushy, poatoes over whipped and snap peas were big pods, peas past their best. I had mussels and they were delicios a whole kilogram. Waiter could be more attentive. Atmosphere dark and seating very uncomfortable for dining.
Jane B — Google review
I only had Guinness here but it was excellent and the hospitality was also top notch. Lovely pub in Sligo. Next time I’ll try the food.

American restaurant
Flipside in Sligo town has been voted as the best burger joint in Ireland for its exceptional culinary experience. Since its establishment in October 2018, Flipside has redefined the burger scene with a focus on quality and innovation. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients, including locally sourced grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef from Sligo. Their menu offers a variety of options, from specialty beef and chicken burgers to delicious salads and vegetarian choices.
Best burger and milkshakes in Sligo! ⭐ Flipside is a must-visit! The burger was juicy, flavour-packed, and cooked just right, and the fries were perfectly crispy. We also had their milkshakes – creamy, indulgent, and the perfect sweet treat to pair with the meal. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

We took 2 burgers that were excellent, sorry they weren't bigger! we took fries that were good, but for 2 it's a little bit just if you're hungry. the sundae were good, a little too "chemical" for the strawberry but it was even hearty, perfect to satisfy us but it took a dessert ! I recommend
Manon G — Google review
I wanted to like it more than I did. The service and the atmosphere are nice. The burgers are on the sweeter side, and the portions are underwhelming for the price. The relish overpowers everything else in one of the burgers. The fries were decent, but again, way too small of a portion.
Anastasis V — Google review
It’s a beautiful burger joint !! I am glad we bumped into this place while in Sligo. The interiors are pretty amazing - very vibrantly lit and decorated !! The staff were very cordial, active, and kind. They did their best to make sure that we are comfortable and enjoying our dinner. We are vegetarians so ordered both the veg burgers - gamechanger and pesto AND one of the salads - pesto. Everything was delicious and freshly cooked. We really liked the taste. Just a small feedback regarding the salad - it will be great if we can make it more healthy (since it’s salad), with less sauces and salt 😅 But that’s maybe a personal preference. Overall we really liked the place and would strongly recommend it to anyone who’s in Sligo. Will visit again :) Thank you 🙌🙏

We dropped by Flipside Burgers in Sligo after hearing loads of hype 🔥. While the vibes were immaculate — think cool tunes, friendly staff, and a laid-back atmosphere 🎶🍔 — the food didn’t quite live up to the buzz. We ordered the Dictator burger and the Gamechanger from the veggie section 🌱. They looked great, but taste-wise, they were just okay — not the best burgers we’ve had. For the price, it was a bit disappointing that fries had to be ordered separately 🍟💸. On the bright side, their house-crafted beer was a standout 🍺 — smooth, flavorful, and definitely worth trying if you're into local brews. It’s the kind of place where you’d go more for the hangout than the food. Overall, Flipside is a solid spot for a chill evening with friends, especially if you’re into craft beer and good vibes ✨. Just don’t expect a burger revelation.

This wasn't food. This was poetry. We came here two nights in a row, after being hooked on night 1. It is a burger restaurant, not some chique place. There are chicken, beef and vegetarian options, various kinds of fries and the most delicious korean chicken wings. Portion sizes are very genereous and denfinitely worth the money! Everything is delicious. Now to the staff and the manager: gorgeous! Everyone is nice, positive, forthcoming... you get in a happy mood as soon as you arrive just because of the lovely staff! It's a pity we won't be able to come here more often. For everyone visiting Sligo: this is an absolute must-go if you love burgers ❤️❤️❤️ Ps: THOSE KOREAN WINGS!!

Guests can indulge in a delightful breakfast buffet featuring a variety of options from traditional Irish breakfast to continental selections, all set against the backdrop of natural light streaming through the restaurant's glass walls.
The cafe was full so we were seated in the kitchen restaurant. Cloth napkins, carafe of water, etc. Quieter, more private and excellent service. Pudding was a work of art. The restaurant has won many awards and I can see why.

Knox in Sligo, Ireland is a recommended restaurant known for its tapas and sharing food. The service is excellent with a variety of meat and fish dishes available. Visitors enjoyed the whipped goats cheese, wings, and lamb along with beers and wine at reasonable prices. Knox also serves homemade brunch on Sundays, offering classic dishes like Eggs Benedict or pancakes with a Spanish twist. Overall, it's praised for its delicious food and great service.
We came here for dinner. Would definitely recommend if you like tapas or sharing food. The service was brilliant. One server on and was doing an excellent job. The kitchen cooked up delicious food for us. Good variety of meat and fish dishes. Meat and cheese board was amazing! We really enjoyed the whipped goats cheese (the nut brittle was so good!), the wings and the lamb. We got so much food between us as well as beers and two bottles of wine and were very happy with the price

Absolute gem in the middle of Sligo. The food was Delicious, well thought, and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to foodies. It was my first time here. I was with a group, and we ordered from the early bird menu, which was a reasonable price. While waiting for the starters, we had bread for the table, and the rosemary bread was delicious. All the food was very tasty. The portions looked small, but actually, they were enough that you left happy but not stuffed. The staff were great, very attentive, and they gave service with a smile. They carry a good range of wine's, craft, and bottled beer's. It was an enjoyable experience and would recommend a visit.

I went there a couple of times because I always enjoyed the food. They have a touch of fancy cousine. I had the codfish with an amazing almond sauce on the side and it was super tender. Also tried the oysters with different sauces, also quite good and cheap (2,6€ per oyster or 15€ for 6 if you'd prefer). The girls from the staff were just so joyful, I want to be friends with them :p I didn't like the salted caramel crumble tho, as it was extremely salty and sweet.

Incredible quality restaurant with great options. A beautiful restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere. A really contagious atmosphere. The chefs are undoubtedly super dedicated, especially the super friendly and kind chef Diego Javiel. Worth every moment of the experience.

Had pork cheek to start, and half lobster with papaya salad. Partner had chicken chicharone served with a very spicy thai sauce & pork belly for main. Absolutely stunning food, pork cheek was the highlight, meat just fell apart and potatoes were so creamy. The papaya salad was excellent, real fresh with a nice kick. The chocolate mouse was rich & loved the coconut/lime ice-cream, really light and fresh. Highly recommend, top class food at decent prices

Lovely meal. Great choice on the menu and looked like we could have chosen any dish. We all had different mains and there were clean plates all round.

lovely restaurant with fantastic staff and some of the best food we have ever eaten. A must visit on any trip to Sligo. On our first visit we had the slow cooked short rib of beef and chips and it is amazing. Beef melts to the touch, sauce is just the right amount of sweet and the thai salad is fresh with a just enough of a kick. And if you thought chips couldn't be improved on, try the triple cooked chips, unbelievably tasty. Second visit was around lunchtime and although the beef was not on the menu until later they russled it up for us. it was just as tasty as the first time. Will be back to try other dishes.

Osta Cafe and Wine Bar is a popular spot known for its gluten-free options, making it an attractive choice for those with dietary restrictions. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the accuracy of their orders, particularly in relation to gluten-free items. Despite this, the cafe is praised for its delicious food when orders are correct. The establishment is also part of the vibrant culinary scene in Sligo, as evidenced by its participation in events like the Sligo Tapas Trail.
Osta was one of my favorite brunch spots for all the years I was in Sligo. Great atmosphere, lovely staffs and good food, what else can one ask for. The egg Benedict was my go to, the smoothies are absolutely delicious as well. Great view of the river garavogue on days we could sit outside.

Having a full Irish breakfast, and some sandwiches and pancakes, not bad! The price was fair, the food was nice. Although I wouldn't have minded a slightly bigger portion. It wasn't really impressive for something called Full. The food was good, and delicious. Although it was a regular weekday, it was very busy, we had to wait for somewhat 15-20 minutes, before we were seated, and once seated, we had to wait somewhat 10 minutes before we could order. But with the location and the atmosphere, it was absolutely worth it. Beautiful location, and very cosy with all the people around you. Although it was busy, it wasn't too loud, and you could easily have a good conversation with your partner. There was even seats outside, alongside the river, very beautiful. I would absolutely recommend coming here for having a good coffee or tea, and then have a cake or anything, but the lunch is rather on the cheap side. Maybe not for a next time, but the cake and tea, absolutely yes!

I can't explain how much we loved the restaurant, it was a fantastic evening... We went with a group on Thursday. We ordered all the menu set to try them. The staff were so friendly and nice. The music was amazing, the players were so professional....I absolutely recommend it and I'll go back as soon as I find free time to enjoy my evening I recommend to reserve your table in advance so you have a secured place to sit specially on Thursdays that they have live music

We stopped by to have breakfast and we couldn't be happier about our decision. The breakfast was amazingly good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the cafe are also spectacular. You can be drinking coffee beside the river. I truly recommend this place.

Friendliest people you could meet working there - particularly brown haired man (Monday 23/06). Great coffee & delicious eggs. I was awkward and ordered the eggs Benedict without ham (am vegetarian) & they happily offered kale and mushrooms instead. Top class service and delicious food. Lovely to sit outside by the river. 10/10 recommend!

I spent around €18 at Osta Café and Wine Bar for a solo lunch, and it felt like money well spent. I ordered the toasted goat cheese and beetroot sandwich, which was rich and full of flavour — the kind of combination that’s clearly thought out and not just thrown together. Alongside it, I had a flat white that was smooth and strong, just right for a midday pick-me-up. Finished it off with a fresh scone served warm with butter and jam — light, crumbly, and absolutely hit the spot. The atmosphere at Osta is calm and classy, but still very welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax by the riverside and take your time. Whether you're stopping in for coffee or sitting down for a longer meal, it feels just right — not too formal, not too casual. Service was solid too. The staff were friendly without being over the top, and they had everything out in good time. You can tell they’re used to regulars and treat new faces just the same — with a bit of warmth and a smile.

Staff are lovely. However food was disappointing, veggie sandwich which had a laughable amount inside, considering the high price, told staff and sandwich returned still ridiculous small amount of filling. The wait for the food took ages before this even occured so I just ate it when it came back out, unsatisfied after meal. No side salad or anything with small sandwich.

Italian restaurant
Located in the heart of Sligo's Italian Quarter, Bistro Bianconi has been a beloved establishment since its opening in 1993. Renowned for its wood-fired gourmet pizzas like the Michelangelo and Vegetariano, this bistro also offers classic fresh pasta dishes and lasagna. A signature favorite is the chicken bocconcini with glazed ham and cheese.
I haven't been in years! As we were in town for the St. Patricks Day parade, and we thought we would pop in and see if we could get a table. The smell as you walked in the door instantly made your tummy grumble. We were so lucky to get a table as the place was buzzing. Very friendly staff, lovely menu and so nice to find a place with a decent size table now a days. I got the steak, my husband got the chicken florentine and my daughter a pizza. All came out hot, fresh, and together. Everything was superb. We will definitely make more of an effort to come back in the future.

We had an amazing experience at Bistro Bianconi. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made us feel right at home. Our server, Beth, was an absolute star, incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She recommended the house special Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, which was phenomenal. The balance of sweet and spicy flavors on a perfectly crisp crust made it one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. The chefs clearly put heart into every dish. To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicately prepared tiramisu that was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to a great meal. Beth’s service truly made the night memorable. She was sweeter than the dessert and made us feel genuinely cared for. We left with full hearts and satisfied taste buds. Highly recommend Bistro Bianconi for anyone looking for great food, fantastic service, and a wonderful dining atmosphere.

My new favourite restaurant in Sligo. Central location, great vibe, lovely staff, excellent food and wine. I recommend their signature dish. Absolutely delicious! Parking is a bit tricky, especially in the evening when most of the big car parks are closed. On street parking is free after 7.

The food was spectacular! We came after closing but they were nice enough to still serve us. The service was excellent. The olives are delicious. And the specialty pasta is a must to order! It is the best pasta dish I have ever had! The noodles tasted homemade, the chicken was cooked perfect, and the flavor was so tasty. I wish I had this restaurant where I live, it would be frequented often.

I had a great experience. I personally liked my own meal, the fish of the day that I forgot the name of, but it was a bit chewy but I think that’s just me. And my mom’s margarita pizza was the best cheese pizza I’ve ever tasted. Brother’s Chicken wings were a bit bland. But overall very good! Waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was cosy and overall great experience.

The Swagman Bar is a unique and funky style bar in Sligo, known for its warm and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Dale, an Australian native, is highly regarded for his positive and hardworking nature. The establishment offers a variety of seating options including cozy snugs, tables near the stove, and high stools at the bar. Additionally, there's a spacious outdoor beer garden where dogs are welcome. The menu features delicious bar food including the popular All Day Full Irish dish.
Went to my first trip to Sligo and went here as recommendation from my friend and wasnt dissapointed. Food excellent, bar staff friendly and lot of space to sit. Also there was an event happening by coincidence and the atmosphere was incredible. 10/10 PS: they have kangaroo meat on the menu which was great.

We got a great spot by the fire, inside. It was busy but not overcrowded at 6pm on a Friday. Service was excellent. I was relieved that the soup was vegan and it was good soup. The only other vegan menu item is pizza. It's the lack of healthy vegan options that will likely cause our group to look elsewhere. Like other pubs, sugar and alcohol free beverages are limited.

Steak house
Embassy Steakhouse Restaurant is renowned for its top-quality steak dishes, prepared by skilled chefs using prime Irish beef cooked over an open flame grill. The restaurant's founders have a wealth of experience in the culinary world and have brought their expertise to this establishment. Guests praise the lovely ambiance and excellent service, with some noting that they were accommodated without reservations. While there were some mix-ups with orders, the food received high praise, particularly the salmon and wasabi dish.
Absolutely delightful! My server was very friendly and did not make me feel rushed. (I had been so tired from traveling but wanted a steak late at night so I snuck in before close.. yes I made sure to be done before closing time lol) Both sauces that came with the steak were fantastic! If I could bottle them up & send them to the states I would 😋 thank you for a great meal!

I was here for a hen party with fifteen. Staff were very good and professional with different large parties in. No big waits in-between courses. Food was alright, no big complaints. The ice cream and brownie were lovely with the dessert but nobody was sure on the third one.

The Embassy Steakhouse delivered on every level. The atmosphere was warm and cosy – perfect for a relaxed evening out. As soon as I sat down, I was given a complimentary bread basket, which was a really nice touch while I waited for my food. For starters, I had the mussels – they were excellent. Great flavour, and the sauce was rich and delicious without being too heavy. For the main, I went with the T-bone steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavour was spot on, and the sides paired really well with the dish. Overall, just really good food in a welcoming setting. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality dining in a comfortable atmosphere.

Sweet Beat Cafe is a renowned vegan and raw food eatery that has garnered accolades, including being named the Best Vegetarian Restaurant by the Irish Times in December 2016. With its second establishment opening soon in Strandhill, this bustling little veggie cafe is known for its delectable treats and expertly crafted coffee.
Lovely busy little veggie cafe! We got: soup + sourdough with turmeric butter, sourdough cheese toastie (they use the follow your heart vegan cheddar shreds) and the daily special of chipotle chilli tacos, followed by oat milk tea with hazelnut cookie and sticky toffee pudding. Food was delicious, service was a bit slow. Small amount of seats inside and out. Eco friendly as all dishes / cutlery / napkins are compostable. Lovely little shop inside with many vegan and irish products for sale. Just to note, not a fully vegan cafe, almost put cow milk in my tea as it is the only one out for tea or coffee and wasn't labelled (luckily I asked) - cafe could do with clearly labelling what's vegan or not. Overall big thumbs up, great to see a veggie cafe doing so well.

Funké - Afro Caribbean Restaurant offers a unique and flavorful dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. The warm hospitality and elegant ambiance set the stage for an exceptional meal. The menu features a great mix of Nigerian specialties, with most dishes adaptable to vegetarians. Each dish is expertly crafted with attention to detail, bursting with exquisite flavors. The owner's warmth and effort to engage with customers add a personal touch to the dining experience.
Visited with a friend. Cozy little restaurant. We tried the veggie soup, likkle beef skewers, jerk chicken and joloff, and beef suya and puff-puffs as a dessert. All of them were great, we tried each others' orders too, but the beef suya is the best! They also have malt brewed by Guinness which is a nice meeting of cultures. Very friendly service and very reasonably priced for the quality.
Bálint S — Google review
Recently visited this restaurant with a small group and had a mixed experience. The main of goat curry was excellent. Good flavor, meat was very tender and the dish was well balanced. Jerk chicken portion was generous although way to sweet for my liking, which took away from other flavors I was expecting in this dish. Side of plantain with the relish was delicious although a bit expensive for the portion size. A major disappointment came with the dessert menu. I was really hoping to try some authentic Caribbean or Afro inspired desserts , although the menu solely focused on Western items. This seems like a mixed opportunity to not showcase at least one traditional item. Overall a restaurant with some incredibly strong dishes, but with a room to grow in terms of balance of flavor.

This place is so beautiful, my food was amazing, and our server was charming. I was really excited to see Nigerian dishes with vegan options available. I got the egusi with tofu and highly recommend it! My family tried some of mine and were all a little jealous they didn’t order it too (they loved their food too but the egusi is next level). I would have expected for the pounded yams to be served on the side of the soup rather than under but this was still excellent and such a pleasant surprise to find in Sligo.

Where do I begin? well, let’s start off with the ambience the vibe, the moment you look at the front you want to go in. I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant for sometime but distractions and other things kept pulling me away. Finally, a friend invited me to meet her for lunch and Funké was the restaurant of choice I was thrilled because I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant for nearly 2 years. Now I can’t believe I allowed myself to be distracted to any other place when this was available. I have a new favorite! And this is it. You walk in and you hear very cool music that just fits the surrounding and style and food culture. The design and overall aesthetic of this restaurant welcomes you with a very low-key cool vibe. I was pleasantly greeted the moment I entered by George with a big smile, welcoming me. I looked over and saw my friend already sitting there waiting for me. Even before I glance at the menu, I knew I wanted to have jerk chicken and so I ordered it. I’ve always wanted to taste it, and I can’t even begin to tell you how explosive and satisfying and amazing the flavors were in this incredible dish. I tucked in immediately and was trying to break down every single seasoning that I was tasting the tenderness of the chicken, the lovely flavored rub on the outside of the chicken and the hearty gorgeous rice that it came with. After only a few moments, we were very pleasantly surprised by a personal visit from the chef and owner herself! With a beautiful face and a gorgeous smile, she came out with her chefs coat on to make sure we were happy with everything and enjoying ourselves. I don’t know how we scored a visit from the chef herself, but I will tell you I felt very honored and told her myself how Amazing this food was. She is a true artist in every sense. My tummy is fat and happy after that gorgeous meal and as I’m sitting here in my car digesting that lovely meal, I enjoyed a slow walk through the town to my car stopped into a couple of shops. People asking me how I was doing and I said I am doing amazing. I just had the most fabulous meal ever and I told him exactly where to come. I told them I had the jerk chicken and I’m looking forward to trying other things on the menu, but there’s no question that The cuisine here is unmatched. As soon as I finish this review, I plan to head over to social media and find her page and follow it and share it there as well. You deserve a treat and I highly recommend you do not delay but prioritize your visit to this amazing restaurant, you will thank me. To the owner and chef, Funké I want to tell you thank you so much for embracing us with such amazing flavors and loving cooking. You are making the world a better place. I won’t be a stranger plan on that! As for my photos that I will share with you, I tucked into my plate so quickly I realized I forgot to take a pretty picture for everyone, but just let that be a compliment as to how the fragrances enticed me and I lost control. By the way, they also provide takeout options which I will definitely be taking advantage of, and I encourage you to do the same.

We had fantastic meals here on Friday. We hadn't tried afro caribbean food before but popped in for a coffee one afternoon (which is so good too) and chatted with the waiter who explained the menu and how the food is not hot spicy, but can be adjusted if you like it that way. Funke came over to and said hi, she is so lovely and her dishes are so tasty and excellent value. Roti bread and flava chips sides are yummy. You can bring in your own wine and pay a small corkage fee. Thank you for a lovely night and for allowing our dog to come in too. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious! I had the beef with jollof rice and it was cooked perfectly – tender, juicy, and full of flavour. My friend got the jerk chicken with jollof rice, and it was just as amazing, with the perfect balance of spice and taste. The staff are very friendly and attentive. This place is a credit to the manager/owner. Would recommend to anyone who loves Japanese food and Sushi. 10/10 🌟

The food is fantastic, very high quality. Cannot fault it. Only thing I’d like is more vegetarian options so I can go more often! 🤤😊 Staff are lovely as well and the service is top class.

Great food, great ambiance, great service. While travelling from town we stopped for dinner. They gave us miso soup at start for free. Miso soup was really good. I think their Hallasan Fried Rice and Japanese katsu curry were exceptionally good, must try. Korean bibimbap was also good but I expected it to be more spicy. Avacado Sushi, mochi & Icecream, Pickled Raddish and Chicken Gyoza were also good.

Best place for sushi in Sligo. But not only. I'm always delighted with warmly welcoming staff, recognizing frequent clients. Food is always fresh and of high quality. The atmosphere is amazing here. I'm definitely coming back.

I wasn’t going to review this place but reading a few of the reviews I figured someone needed to tell it as it is. Firstly parking is not free until after 18:30 and I wouldn’t say there is plenty because I often have to drive around the block two or three times before a space is available. The staff are amazing and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The atmosphere is nice if a bit sterile. It’s very bright and has wobbly tables. Not a place for a romantic meal. The food was okay at best. Hand on heart I never had Japanese/Korean food before and it was my first time having sushi so I am not an expert but I will not be going back. The starter was a lovely cod in a light batter, if chef got that wrong they could close the doors. My main course was an egg and cheese mix with rice and onion and I think prawns which tasted like an omelette with rice. At €18 or so I was not impressed. My wife had the box meal and Jesus that was terrible. For the person who was lifted to heaven and high fived God because the food was so good, we must have eaten at a different Miss Suzy’s. Don’t even bother with the dessert menu that’s a total joke. In summery food is okay but expensive for what it is. Nothing I had was wow everything relies on a sauce dip for taste. I wouldn’t recommend Miss Suzy’s to any of my friends put it that way.

What an amazing place to have a meal! Decided to go to Miss Suzy for some sushi and Katsu Curry with my family and I was not disappointed! The staff was extremely friendly, the food was incredibly tasty and the atmosphere was just lovely!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try some great, quality food and amazing service! What a great surprise! Thanks so much team! I cannot wait to come back 😍

Oh my goodness, I have nothing but good things to say about this place! The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is stunning, feels very authentic and looks beautiful! The staff are also so so lovely, the waiter we had in particular was super helpful and very personable. The owner also made the time to come and check on us to see if everything was okay which was a nice touch 😊 the food was honestly to die for. I'd never tried Japanese or Korean food before and I will say, it was unreal!! Now I will say that there was a delay in the kitchen, but I didn't mind because the food was amazing and so worth the wait. Will definitely be coming back 🩷

Yesterday, I had a delightful family dinner at The Mill Bar. There were four adults and two young children present. The meal was not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. One standout was the delectable stack of buttermilk chicken. Furthermore, the staff provided excellent customer service, garnering compliments from our group. I highly recommend dining at this establishment and personally can't wait to return in the future. Additionally, the bar offers great live music, enhancing the overall experience for patrons.
So cozy for Christmas inside. Just had wine but the food smelled/looked great so we’ll return. Also screens for games, plenty of bar, table and nook area seating. Friendly staff, too. 🤗

We had one of our least enjoyable dining experiences in memory, here last night, sad to say. I do not like posting detailed poor reviews. We were seated next to the smoking area door & subjected to double bangs ( the downstairs door was very noisy) and tobacco smells coming up with each returning smoker, at about 90 second intervals. The lighting level was so low it was seriously not possible to see all that we were eating. The entree of chowder was quite nice - thanks! However, our main meals were not great. My four pork medallions were tiny, overcooked ( unless that’s the style here!) and minute compared to the massses of mash that swamped them. The Caesar salad tasted much spicier than any other we’d eaten. This may have just been an off night - at both the restaurant & hotel it seemed local party night and this may have been a factor.

Absolutely amazing service throughout the hotel especially during breakfast. Served by Ewelina and she was Absolutely brilliant, she was so kind and helpful throughout breakfast service. She seated us and our young children where we had plenty of room, she brought out beautiful porridge to us and some croissants wishing us a happy anniversary. Every time we seen her she had a big smile on her face and nothing was too much, I watched how she greeted everyone with the same friendly approach. She is an asset to the hotel and is amazing at her job! Our room was lovely and clean and we loved the gym and swimming pool. Cannot wait to stay again! Thank you

Was such a wonderful location and everything so nice and the staff very welcoming. Beds were nice if a bit over firm to my liking. The separate entryway door to bath and bedroom was an odd thing but fine. Only real complaint was how stuffy the room was especially since the window was child locked and could barely open. I get that it's a safety thing but we were two grown adults would have been nice to have the option to close it. Food was nice especially the main courses though nothing mind blowing and one dish slightly under-seasoned but was still good. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful for the buffet, exactly what we needed that morning. Though could have put a strainer on the scrambled eggs so they weren't so watery at the bottom. We ordered room service late at night which I appreciated was available. The pizza we orders was serviceable but no complaints as just a midnight snack level. They did seem to forget the pizza the first time as they only brought up a single drink then as it was getting a bit longer than expected we called and they said they'd be up in 5 minutes which was slightly longer with two new drinks with half melted ice and the pizza. This isn't really much of a complaint just something we noted and laughed at at the time. All in all a nice stay with good amenities that most will be satisfied with just don't expect anything super mind blowing from anything but the location and buildings.

The Heineken Ahhh-cademy 2025 was hosted in the Clayton Sligo to 160+ attendees. Our experience as the event organisers was fantastic with pre-event meetings with Paula and the wider Clayton Sligo team to ensure all good before coming onsite. The production build was easily done as room specs shared matched to the in room measurements and details I.e. power etc. The event itself went amazingly and feedback with attendees and client was very positive. A lovely space and an amazing in-house team. Thanks to Paula, Shelia and the wider Clayton Sligo team from all of us on the Heineken Ahhh-cademy team. Kind regards, Darragh Dillon Event Producer

A very nice stay for our 5 pax group in an old mental hospital converted into a modern hotel with two, -yes two - churches. Super friendly receptionist -allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated. Really nice rooms with amenities and comfortable beds. The stay was however spoilt by a crowd of noisy hooligans, out on a stag party, squabbling in the landing outside our room before transferring downstairs to the bistro bar where they continued shouting and screaming at each other. I have never heard such a commotion - hotel staff were unable to control them and people in the bar area were actually scared. Later in the evening, the front of the hotel and steps were littered with bottles and glasses - it looked terrible but I suppose the hotel makes money on such behaviour. Apart from that, after the circus had quieted down, we had an excellent birthday meal for my daughter. Sophie our waitress was really good - super friendly and efficient. Food was reasonably good. The buffet breakfast was average - not as good as other Clayton’s we have been to and far,far too busy for the layout of the room. However, all in all a good stay - we like Clayton Hotels -just a pity about the noisy yobs.

We Stayed overnight in Sligo as a waypoint on a tour around Ireland. We did a bit of research and decided to stay at the Clayton Hotel Sligo and we didn't regret it. The building was very grand and beautiful, not at all what we expected. The staff were very helpful and was heaps of parking available. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds and good shower. The morning breakfast was ample and delicious!
Darren S — Google review
The stay was mixed. The 2-bedroom suite (Room 4169), which I described as outdated, poor in ambiance, and having very old carpet that caused an allergy flare, suggesting potential mold. We also noted a lack of warmth from the receptionist on October 11th and a weak steam room on the second day. Conversely, the experience was significantly positive regarding food: both the bar food and the breakfast were excellent, offering lovely options and featuring universally friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. The bed in the suite was also comfortable and clean.

I do not recommend this establishment. The only reason we decided to come here was because it had a five star rating. This rating must have been paid for, there was nothing about this place that would set it apart from any other ordinary hotel it was definitely not a five star experience. Our dining and bar experience was even less to be desired, the management is openly rude to their staff, and just observing how they are treated reflects on the service. We weren’t even finished eating, and our plates were taken away by a manager, not even our original server. We couldn’t leave this place fast enough.

What a fab way to spend the October Bank Holiday. The hotel is so lovely along with the staff and view from our balcony looking over the river. It has been such a relaxing trip. The hotel is fabulously located seconds away from the main shopping streets with some lovely little cafes and bars. I would highly recommend the hotel as well they do a gorgeous breakfast with all you could ask for to keep you going till lunch. The room was gorgeous and spacious so bright with the balcony doors. There is a sitting area on the balcony for relaxing with a morning cuppa. The bed was so comfy. All in all 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Come in after a night out and you get a full interrogation whether or not you belong in the hotel (After spending 200 Euro) by the front desk - Aielen, and the security - Alan. A key card is required to even access the elevator to get up to the rooms so I'm not quite sure why they were trying to play the hero card. I have never experienced this in my years of traveling the world and even various counties in Ireland. I would avoid the glass house If possible. It's a nice place to stay but not worth the awful customer service - Nov 1st 2025

I rang the hotel in advance asking about vegan options and they said there was a few options on the menu, there wasn’t a physical menu as they said. For starters I’ve ordered stuffed peppers instead of a salad ( but I got a stuffed tomato on a bowl of salad) and for main I ordered pea risotto and I got the plainest risotto I’ve got(tasteless) and I was also charged extra for it. For breakfast there was one option only but it was quite surprising once I got a plate with scrambled eggs on a vegan dish. The dish itself was very disappointing and plain, consisting of steamed mushrooms on a ciabatta bread with a tomato on the side. Although the food wasn’t great, the staff were friendly and very professional, I tried to tip using my card but I was told that it takes a month until they get it.

I've been here multiple times with different groups of people (friends, family, kids, colleagues etc) under different conditions and each time I have had a lovely experience! The food is always tasty, portions are massive and affordable. I had the seabass and a colleague had the calamari which were both excellent. However, I highly recommend their breakfast! They make their own home cooked beans which is DIVINE! Always a pleasure visiting.

Shells Cafe is an absolute gem on Strandhill beach, and a visit to Sligo isn't complete without stopping here. The location is second to none, with a stunning ocean view that you can enjoy from their covered outdoor terrace or from the cozy indoor seating. It’s the perfect place to warm up with a hot cup of coffee after a walk on the beach, no matter the weather. Beyond the incredible view, the food and coffee are truly fantastic. We've been back multiple times and have always been impressed with the great selection of breakfast and lunch options. The full Irish breakfast is hearty and delicious, and the Eggs Benedict with salmon is an absolute standout—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their coffee, whether it's a rich black coffee or a perfectly made flatwhite, is a highlight and the ideal accompaniment to any meal. Shells Cafe is also incredibly convenient. You can sit down for a leisurely meal, grab a coffee for takeaway to enjoy on the beach, or pop into their small shop next door. The "Little Shop" is a real bonus, offering everything from artisan deli items to unique local souvenirs and other necessities. This place has a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of Strandhill. The staff are always friendly and efficient, even on the busiest days. Shells is a place we love to come back to again and again. Open daily until 6 PM, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone in the Strandhill area looking for a memorable meal with an unbeatable view.

We came with a group of friends, we booked beforehand, but seeing the amount of guests I the restaurant it wasn't necessary though. We didn't have to wait, and were seated straight away. The location is nice, easy along the road, and good and enough parking facilities. The food was amazing, very good quality and well seasoned. Now, personally I wouldn't have minded a slightly bigger portion size, but the flavour was absolutely satisfying. The recommendation on Google reviews were very good, as we chose rather the recommended dishes as well. 5 stars absolutely, would certainly recommend other people to come here and have their food as well. Service is good, people are friendly and very helpful. Since it wasn't very busy, the food was served quickly. The desserts were delicious too. The atmosphere is very nice, as we were sitting in an area with lots of natural lighting, but the restaurant in general was very nicely built up. I would certainly say, keep up the good work! Whenever I get back, I would certainly come back again for the food!

Having dined here previously we returned because it was excellent the last time but unfortunately not the same this time. The restaurant was busy so we were happy to eat in the outside area which was perfect apart from the table not been that clean. Our starters arrived except for one which we had to ask them where it was. It was a seafood chowder so there was no real excuse for this. Our main courses arrived eventually, mine was cold and had to be returned and my daughters wraps came with ours but we had to ask for the beef taco as there was no sign of it to come. When it arrived a very nice and hardworking waiter apologised as someone else was supposed to have brought it out. We ordered some extra drinks and had to ask a second time for them. We had no issues sitting in the outside area but it felt like second class service out there. We were very disappointed with this visit compared to the last time we were there.

Stopped here at the end of our road trip today and it was amazing. Got the fish and chips and it was so so tasty. For dessert we got the apple, pear and cinnamon crumble with ice cream... It was to die for. The staff were really lovely and friendly aswell. And the location is amazing. Overlooking the ocean. 😍 Will definitely be back.

This place is top notch in every way, as soon as we walked in the staff greeted us with the most friendly of welcome. Plus the place itself has a nice vibe, the decor is fantastic, and the view of the sea from the rear of the restaurant is just class. We all opted for the beer battered haddock & chips, it was the nicest fish & chips I've ever had. We had done a long trip along the wild Atlantic way with some lovely places to eat, but this place was superior to all, and the staff were so nice. Also the price of our food was very good, would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Nestled in the charming coastal village of Strandhill, The Strand Bar is a delightful spot that beautifully blends rustic charm with contemporary design. This inviting establishment has transformed from its former life as a KFC into a warm and welcoming space where locals and visitors alike can enjoy great homemade food. With its calming color palette and bespoke woodwork, The Strand Bar offers an atmosphere that feels like home.
We had a lovely meal here. Food was gorgeous. Our waitress was amazing and asked if we wished to move from where we were seated as she noticed we were uncomfortable. She did this without us having without us having to ask. She was so professional and so very understanding. We didn't catch her name as she finished her shift before we left but she had an English accent. Thanks so much. We will definitely be back.

'A definite go to, being a local or a visitor this is an amazing place to eat, socialise and have fun. We had out summer get together here and as always it never fails to impress. The photos are taken in the new Event Room, very bright and cheery. We booked in advance. The food was outstanding and service as always....faultless. Enjoy your experience 😊

The Strand Bar is the heart and soul of Strandhill, offering a true taste of local Irish pub culture right on the beach. Unlike many other spots in the area, it's open every day and stays open later, making it the perfect place to gather for a late dinner or a few drinks. The atmosphere is fantastic—it’s a traditional pub with a great local feel, full of character and friendly faces. It's the kind of place where you can relax and feel right at home. The pub serves both lunch and dinner, and the menu is extensive, with a great selection of classic pub fare and daily specials. We particularly enjoyed the rich and creamy seafood chowder, which was absolutely delicious and perfect for a chilly evening. The blue cheese burger was another standout, flavorful and cooked to perfection. For those who want to enjoy the coastal air, there's a separate menu for the outside area, which includes pizzas served late into the evening. It’s a great option for a more casual bite or just to enjoy a drink with friends. Whether you're looking for a traditional Irish meal, a few great pints of Guinness, or just a place to relax and enjoy the lively atmosphere, The Strand Bar is a must-visit. It's a cornerstone of the Strandhill community and a wonderful spot for a memorable evening.

More an open top apple strudel or galette than a traditional Irish apple tart. The fish was bland, the chips were nice. Overall ok food, quick, friendly service, nice bar. Great outside seating area.

Nice spot, decent beer garden, fast service nice vibe. Guinness could be better, but passable. Walking distance if your staying in Strandhill camp site

Not impressed with this spot to be honest. The pizza is in need if improvement as it is very toppings heavy. Majority of the staff are lovely but the guys on the bar (both times we visited but have been a few times now as we have friends who live in Strandhill) dont have the best customer service. We ordered cocktails and it was quite obviously just a pre mixed pour. Id much rather the bars at the top of the town if this place doesn't tweak a few things.

5 stars for The Strand Bar in Sligo. Food & service was excellent. What really made our trip was the manager went out of his way to help when I was breastfeeding my baby. He noticed the spot I was sitting in wasn’t ideal and brought me to a much more comfortable area so me & my baby had more space and could relax. It was such a thoughtful gesture. It’s the small things like this that really make a place stand out. Staff who genuinely care and tune into the comfort of their diners make all the difference.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere with great service and a very pleasant atmosphere,I enjoyed my long island ice tea and the coffee was fantastic. I only had one complaint that the burger did not have enough blue cheese flavour but was still very good I will be coming back as frequently as I can 9.5/10

Rugantino is a charming Italian restaurant located in Sligo, run by an Italian family along the banks of the Garavogue river. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes such as woodfire baked pizzas, penne soprano, and an extensive selection of seafood. In addition to classic favorites like lasagna and pizza, the restaurant also incorporates local ingredients such as Sligo Bay mussels and locally caught fish into their authentic Italian cuisine.
The pizza was delicious, with nice dough and a decent portion size (the 12" version). I ordered the chicken and pesto calzone, which was simple but lovely. The coffee was also great. Food is slightly on the pricey side but of good quality. The service was fantastic and the staff were friendly. There's a lovely view of the river from the tables by the window, which was a bonus!

Such a lovely restaurant that we went 2 days in a row after finding it, the food was just too good to go anywhere else! I highly recommend Nonna's secret recipe prime beef meatballs, they were possibly the best meatballs I have ever had, the sauce with them was divine and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The Sicilian lemon cheesecake was the perfect dessert to finish with, if you like zesty lemon flavoured desserts you will love this cheesecake, the tangy lemon taste was so delicious!

Friendly staff. Our server was an entertaining guy. Pizza made in a pizza oven from scratch. Quite the authentic Italian chefs creating the food. Highly recommend food and wine list.

Location is great in the center. Food wasn’t great; pre-heated. Google says it closes at 10 and at 9.15 they were already saying kitchen was almost closing. The waiters were rushing up us trying to tidy our dishes when we weren’t finished. If they are not able to take more people, then don’t accept it. Food quality not worth it

Visiting from England, beautiful pub, lovely inviting welcome from attentive and friendly staff. The food was fresh and served in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, cheesecake and chicken fajitas.

Good pub for pints but the food was terrible. The burger was just a very dry patty and cheese. The caesar salad came with no lettuce, only rocket and was quite salty. Food was also way overpriced compared to other restaurants nearby.

A charming pub and kitchen! The salt and chilli prawns were perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor, and the Fisherman’s pie was equally impressive with its rich and well-balanced taste. We had no reservation. The place looked busy which is a good sign. Super welcoming staff who sat us immediately. Couldn't be nicer. The food was incredible. The prawn noodle dish was insanely delicious and my partner had the fisherman's pie which was equally amazing. We will most definitely be back. Thanks Austies. The fact fleetwood mac The Chain came on the sound system increased my love of this spot. Loved it.

I thought the interior was a bit dark and dull but might be just me. A starter of 4 mushrooms for €9 was a bit much (IMHO), but they were tasty. I had the burger and chips, while my wife had the Carbonara dish and neither of us were particularly satisfied with our food. €58 later (no alcohol) and we left unhappy customers but as we were just passing through the locality, we were never going to be repeat customers.

We arrived here just in time for lunch. There’s a soup and salad bar, hot food section, coffees and teas, and baked treats — pretty much everything you need and service was efficient. I had the soup of the day (sweet potato and coconut soup) with bread of your choice (I chose soda bread, of course). That was rather filling, but left me just enough room for desserts. I got a takeaway mixed berry crumble with the option of whipped cream, custard or ice-cream as a topping. Highly recommend the custard (see photo - it speaks for itself). 10/10 from me as it wasn’t too sweet. The tartness of the berries were refreshing and the custard complements it if not elevate the whole dish. Would def come back again!

Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area and want something tasty in a cosy setting.

Quick detour off motorway for a coffee and snack. Coffee nice. White chocolate and raspberry scone almost inedible as it was do dry. Toasted sandwhiches amazing as use store cooked bread. Slow to serve as near closing and girl making sandwiches appeared to be distracted by the others in the kitchen who were chatting while clean down.

My second time and I will start by saying the food is worth giving it a go. My first time I had a Greek burger, mash and veg that was lovely. This time was a breakfast sandwich that was also plenty filling and tasty. I've also gotten their bread (same as the bap was on) downstairs in the bakeshop and it's definitely welcome at home any time. I didn't try any of the tarts and pastries I have pictured here but based on the meals/bread I have had, I'd say you won't be disappointed in taste. The service, however, is hit and miss. I've been in the bakery and the two young ladies were upbeat, friendly and patient as I figured out what I wanted on a first visit. I've been other occasions and observed with myself and others the service seems a bit curt/short based on if they know the customer or not. As well, upstairs, I had a wonderful experience with the gentleman who served me the Greek plate but felt almost like an intrusion getting my breakfast. Each question was a bit impatiently answered and the breakfast board pointed at before she walked away. Not the most welcoming experiences - which is surprising given the general kindness I've felt since moving to Sligo. Pictures are from #8Nov2022

Montmartre is a cozy French restaurant located in Sligo, known for its classic French dishes and seafood specialties. The restaurant has a large wine list and is popular among locals, so making reservations in advance is recommended. While the service can be slow due to limited staff, the professional and polite team ensures a pleasant dining experience. The menu offers a variety of options at reasonable prices, with beautifully presented and delicious dishes that showcase a great balance of flavors.
There were 5 of us. My wife and I had been here before. The food was very French as you might suspect from the name. It was also excellent for everybody as it had been on my previous visit. Portions were larger than I expected. They don’t serve beers etc. The wine list was huge - all French - and the pricing meant that we got a very nice wine at a reasonable cost. Service was excellent and the ambiance was good. It’s a small place so on that windy night it was a little crafty when customers were going in and out. Parking exists outside the door. Highly recommended

Montmartre offers a delightful dining experience that feels like a quick escape to France. The food was absolutely lovely – beautifully presented and full of rich, authentic flavours. What really stood out was the impressive selection of French wines, perfectly curated to complement the menu. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A great spot for a relaxed evening or special occasion – I’ll definitely be back.

Myself and 3 of my friends dined here a few days before Christmas. Overall the experience was very good. The menu was varied and the food was well presented, tasted lovely and good value. The service however was very slow and we had a considerable wait from seating to ordering first courses. There were 2-3 waiting staff and it was clearly not enough to deal with capacity. The staff themselves were very professional and polite and I do understand they were being challenged and stretched. The atmosphere was lovely but would suggest mobile heater to be upgraded and perhaps a new tree next year.

Wonderful French food which overall was excellent but somethings just didn’t hit the mark. Curry flavoured bread ? Blue cheese tart with little taste of blue cheese. Fantastic wine list. Location, location! We were in Rosses Point and one other restaurant refused us because they said they’re fully booked and wished us good luck (even though some tables were empty). But Driftwood was amazing! I rang and asked if I can book a space for 2 in 5 minutes and they said yes! My table was waiting. Food was served fast. My friend has never tried oysters, so this was our first choice. Then - a seafood chowder, green leaves (house salad), halloumi fries (delicious!) and at the end coffee for dessert. Everything was impeccable! We were in the middle of a very long journey, so this restaurant was a lovely respite. Comfy seats, quiet corner, clean toilets to refresh ourselves. Dimmed lights and tasteful photos of New York hanging around. Also, quite an elegant clientele. I have to say, this was class. I will be back.

It was a hot day so the room was very hot during the night but we opened the skylight in the bathroom and that cooled the room. We ate downstairs and the food was good, fresh produce and good service. Again, it was a warm day and the restaurant was extremely warm. I felt sorry for the staff working in such a warm environment. Also tried my wife's sushi and the Nutella gnocchi which I must say I was very jealous of.The service was also top tier,we must have been checked on 10 times to make sure everything was okay,Staff were funny, welcoming and attentive.Must say definitely one of the best restaurants in sligo.

Had dinner in the Driftwood Restaurant and it was really delicious. Food was extremely tasty and excellent service. We were exceptionally lucky as we could see the sea from our table. Will definitely eat there again next time in Rosses point. I gave the rooms 5 stars but I was not staying in the hotel, but doesn't seem possible to write a review without giving the rooms a star rating but enjoyed the meal so much I wanted to write a review.

The Driftwood was an excellent choice in Sligo. The food was tasty and beautifully presented, with fresh, local options. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy — perfect for a relaxed meal near the sea. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Highly recommended!

The Sligo location, nestled in the heart of the city, offers an authentic taste of India. While its unassuming entrance may be overlooked, the spacious upstairs restaurant presents a more extensive dine-in menu featuring flavorful and well-balanced dishes.
The best experience with everything so far. I visited so many times and will keep coming back. Chicken tikka masala and the most favourite tandoori chicken, spicy wings and chicken pakora. The taste was so delicious.i highly recommend for the good customer service.

Such a bad restaurant. The worst experience i've ever had. First we have to ask after drinks. The chicken is what, that isn't worth it to feed the dogs with. They have only Corona light beer(was the best of the dinner) The Service was also desinterestet for her guests and only play with Handy and under the paper table blankets, the normal table blankets seems as have they never seen a washing machine. Overall the best were, that the Chicken was so overcooked that we are sure it was Not raw.

WARNING!!!! Kitchen nightmares are made of this. I can quite honestly say this was the worst food I have ever eaten. Greasy rice and a main dish of lamb which was swimming in a thick tasteless gravy type thing. I managed a few fork fills and left. Should have complained really. Expensive too at nearly €25 !!! The place was empty which should have rung alarm bells. Should not be allowed to stay open. Trying to wash the taste out of my mouth all evening. DISGUSTING!!!!

So disappointed. Love the food here. But twice now I’ve ordered vegetable samosas and gotten meat ones. The first time, they told me they’d deliver the right ones and apologised. Took 45 mins. The second time I just asked for a refund (I also ordered two naan and they only delivered one). After two phone calls and the manager finally talking to me, he agreed to a refund. That was a month ago. No refund. Beautiful food but unfortunately, terrible terrible service!

The service was sincere but very very slow. The food was fine. It was not the best Indian I have ever had. The chairs were really stained and dirty they certainly made a mistake when they upholstered. But everything else seemed fairly clean. It is not a definite repeat for me.

The food here is amazing! Chaudhary sahab is a great host and truly made us feel at home during our travels to Ireland (we're South Asians). The best South Asian food I've had in this part of Ireland! A special callout to the papad with the mango chutney and the Keema Kulcha. He also gave us some extra food to keep us satiated during the rest of our road trip on the Wild Atlantic Way. Pro-tip: Ask for desi spicy food, if you really wanna taste the food!

Andersons Grill & Bar in Sligo offers a delightful culinary experience with its filling and delicious food, especially the incredibly sized burgers and tasty chips. The restaurant has a great ambiance and ample drink choices at the bar. It is nicely decorated, clean, and provides comfortable seating. The friendly staff offer attentive service with a smile. The menu includes options for kids, such as the amazing fish and chips. Guests can also enjoy cocktails before indulging in the delicious food, including a great steak option.
We got chicken wings for starter and they weren't great as they nearly had any meat on them but the burger really made up for them! Was very very good! Will definitely come back

We all had burgers and they were really good! Drink offerings were decent and we also relived our childhoods by having milkshake. Although it said oreos milkshake we got no oreos and it took ages to come but they were really good to write it off so we didn't pay. Atmosphere was decent, there was a guy singing and maybe cuz we sat right next to him he was a bit loud for us but in general was a really fun evening! I'm sure we would be visiting again!

Wonderfully surprised! Was expecting basic pub fare -- but the food was fantastic! Truly smokey, juicy burger, seafood tacos had a good kick of heat with great slaw and the Cajun chips were seasoned perfectly. Spacious but still cozy and welcoming inside plus friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely return! 🤗

Anderson’s, filling and delicious good food We tucked into 2 incredibly sized burgers; that were not only tasteful but great portion (especially with the chips too) The servers were pleasant and friendly, and we really appreciated them making room for us, as our reservation at FUNKÉ was ignored (booked 2 weeks in advance, and when we arrived they told us to come back in a hour…do not go there) Stick with Anderson’s, the place had a great feel aswell, as there is ampule choice at the bar for drinks to accompany your meal (alcoholic and non alcoholic)

Our first time to visit. Loads of parking near by. The place was nicely decorated and very clean. Nice size tables that give you a bit if comfort and loved the condiment holder on the table. Lovely friendly staff, both helpful and attentive, definitely service with a smile. The food was lovely, we had the platter for 2 and we didn't finish it. They also have a good kids menu, my daughter had the fish and chips and the batter on the fish was amazing. She finished every last bit off the fish. Nice desert menu but to full to try any. Only complaint and not really a complaint, we just weren't keen on the chips, a bit too chunky. Very good value. The toilets where spotless too and the place wheelchair friendly. We will definitely be going back

America, pay attention: THIS place knows how to do a BURGER. Hands-down the best burgers either of us has ever had, and we are very picky about our meat and other ingredients. It doesn't hurt that they were served on the absolute best gluten-free burger buns we have ever had. The service was efficient but unobtrusive, making GF choices was easy, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It was a great ending to what had been a very cold, dreary and frustrating day!

Molly Fulton's Bar is a local favorite for delicious all-day breakfast. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent value. You'll find plenty of parking on site.
This place has been the best in sligo for a while now. We have been there twice. Once we went there on a bank holiday weekend and we had to wait for around 10 mins to get our seats which is quite normal on weekends as every place is running busy during that time. The second time we visited this place was just before Christmas. This place does has a quite good space to fit with outdoor seating as well. Outdoor seating is the best as you can enjoy the weather and also fresh air. We had ordered oven baked best of chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies with pepperoni sauce. Also penne pasta and creamy potatoes for my other half. For the desert we had to go for our all time favorite chocolate brownie. Also we tried their menu from the specials and noodles. They have a huge private parking with outdoor seating which are covered incase it rains. Overall the experience was altogether fantastic and will surely make it up here again very soon.

This restaurant is a hidden jewel! Fantastic food, very generous portions and very friendly and helpful staff. We were a family of 5, there was colouring paper and crayons for the kids and our food was served in a timely manner. The dessert list is one of the most impressive I have seen in a long time and there was something for everyone. What really impressed me was the low sugar/diabetic alternative, which is something you don't see that often in restaurants. 5 🌟👏👏

I have been to Molly’s a few times and they never disappoint. The delicious food and kind, welcoming service is the reason why I keep coming back😊 I enjoy my food so much every time that I forget to take a picture, otherwise I would’ve posted one today. They have a good variety of dishes to choose from. The fish and chips are the best but I do love their lasagna. And I really like how they have the same vegetable puree soup everyday. It helps me know when I go there I can still get what I like. Of course, my mother and I will be coming back!😊🙌🏼

Absolutely every single time I come here I can rely on excellent service, a pleasant server and a delicious meal. I would recommend Molly‘s, for a wonderful family friendly place for lunch or dinner. They serve food that will bring you comfort and a smile. They have a bar, I have never ordered drinks at the bar, but it’s always stocked and busy. I have enjoyed a glass of wine with my meal, and I’ve never been disappointed with quality. I highly recommend this restaurant 10 out of 10.

A really beautiful coffee shop, with wonderful service & a lovely, homely atmosphere. The staff were so pleasant from the lady who greeted us, to the guy who waited on our table, to the lady at the till when I was paying. The baked goodies were delicious. I must give a special mention to the caramel square I bought to takeaway, which was the nicest one I've ever ever had 👌 The decor in the place was fabulous, really keeping with the style of property it is. Banging 💕 came here twice for breakfast over the bank holiday weekend. Got the breakfast bap and pancakes with poached fruit and yoghurt on the first day. The bap was standard enough but the pancakes were unbelievable. The second day we both got granola bowls and iced coffee's. Get these. Get them lads. They are unreal. I've never enjoyed a granola bowl and an iced chai latte like I did here. 10/10 recommended. Cute little spot also with lovely staff.

A class wee café! Always stop into The Little Cottage Café when I’m up visiting the family on the line in Upper Rosses Point. It’s the kind of place that just feels right — friendly faces, bit of chat, and you can’t beat the smell of the coffee when you walk in. The scones are unreal, proper homemade, and the breakfasts hit the spot every time. You can sit out and catch the sea breeze or stay inside where it’s warm and cosy. Some of us fellow Indian may not like as much, but make sure that you request the manager and the waiting staff about your requirements when they ask you. I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the dal. Let me tell you — it was spicy. And not just “a bit of a kick” spicy, but the kind of spicy that burns on the way in… and on the way out. I love dal. I know it’s not necessarily meant to be spicy — it can be flavorful, aromatic, comforting. But this one? It came with fire, and no warning. They really should have mentioned it on the menu. A spicy memory, in every sense.

Mandarin Court Chinese Restaurant, situated on Wine Street in Sligo, Ireland, offers an authentic Chinese dining experience. Despite a mix-up with an order for vegetarian spring rolls, the food is described as excellent with fresh vegetables and perfectly prepared fried rice. While some find the manager to be unfriendly, the floor staff make up for it with their friendliness. The restaurant is praised for its superb crispy fried duck and high-quality produce despite being a bit pricey.
Has to be the best Chinese in sligo. It's a bit on the pricey side, but you can tell you're getting your moneys worth with the quality of the produce.

They made a mistake initially, giving us meat filled spring rolls instead of the vegetarian we had requested. However, once this mistake had been cleared up the food turned out to be excellent. Veg was fresh and fried rice was perfectly prepared. The only other caveat I would have is the manager is quite curt and unfriendly but the floor staff more than make up for this in friendliness. Overall a really nice place to get some nice Chinese food!

I hadn't stayed here before but on leaving both my wife and I agreed that it a place we would revisit. I let reception know that the water in hot tap in the bedroom was extremely hot and in their own interest it would be advisable to check it out. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. The evening food in the bar was fine but as I am very allergic to eggs it is getting more and more difficult to get an egg free meal. However we weren't left hungry.

This hotel is rated at 4 star, perhaps that was the original rating when it was opened a v long time ago. Firstly on the positives because there are not many; 1. V friendly staff 2. Clean rooms Now for the negatives: 1. Food in the restaurant for dinner was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We were a table of 10 and 3 of my family had to send their dinners back as inedible. 2. The sauce that came with the spicy wings looked like it was made 10 years ago and curdled 3. Kids menu basic beyond believe with chips triple refried, cold and burnt 4. Smelly, damp old fashioned dining area 5. Staff almost looked embarrassed at the food they were serving actually felt bad for them. Kitchen needs an overhaul and ‘chefs’ replaced with actually professionals 6. Bedrooms smelt like stale cigarettes 7. Swimming pool, old, dirty and absolutely freezing 8. Breakfast buffet v poor selection. No fresh fruit, alternative milks, eggs were inedible This hotel needs serious investment or needs to close down. Wouldn’t give a €1 to the owners who think this is an acceptable level of accommodation in this day and age in Ireland As I say the staff are doing the best they can given the circumstances but absolutely deplorable hotel.
Fiona C — Google review
The definition of false advertising. This hotel is advertised as "luxurious accommodation" and an "elegant 4 star Sligo Hotel". This hotel is easily one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I brought my partner and 3 kids here for my partners birthday. Immediately I began to panic. This is not "luxurious" by any stretch of the imagination. The room we were given was dirty. Carpets weren't cleaned, There was sand all over the window sill and the bed they expected my son to sleep on was broken. The room was dark with those awful harsh tungsten lights. The bathroom is nothing like the modern bathrooms advertised on the website. It's got 1970's green tiles, it's dirty looking plastic bath. To make things even worse the toilet was broken which we found out when my son used it then flushed and it sprayed him in the face. I'm sure the manager will have an answer for everything on here "our guests love this classic style". It's drab and dated. A classic style would be something that doesn't go out of fashion, something timeless. This hotel is not that. They also advertise rooms as "well appointed" when literally every piece of furniture in the room had broken pieces or was worn. If I hadn't of driven 3 hours with 3 kids in the car I would have went home. I went to the front desk to complain. The staff were very nice but what could they do about the state of the place? I wasn't charged for the first night and after speaking to a manager the next morning was moved to another room. Wasn't much better though, the bathroom in this room had paint peeling off the ceiling. Still didn't feel 100% clean and was still dated and drab. TV in this room had sporadic reception issues (funnily enough when you want to watch it) and that night there were kids running up and down the hall knocking on doors at 11pm who woke our 6 month old up. Any good points? Location Staff were lovely and doing their best. Food wasn't bad, pretty bog standard. (Go around the corner to The Driftwood and have food, it's amazing) Kids club was a nice addition Our kids loved swimming (The leisure center needs serious updating though) Nice pint of Guinness

Just returned from a couple of nights stay. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was lovely and clean and judging from other reviews I think we had one of the updated rooms. Food was lovely and well presented. We enjoyed the music in the evenings too. My only complaint would be the grab rail in the shower/bath is in the wrong place and made showering awkward and the shower knob was stiff and difficult to turn. Will definitely visit again

Nestled in the charming coastal village of Strandhill, Stoked is a delightful eatery that captures the essence of Irish cuisine with a modern twist. Located just a stone's throw from the beach, this café and deli offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious meals any time of day. With its focus on fresh ingredients and innovative dishes, Stoked has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Great vibe at Stoked, the staff were fab and knowledgeable about the menu! Our waiter made good recommendations that we enjoyed. We had 6 small plates between two and it was more than enough food! The elderflower spritz I had was probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Cheers!

A unique favorite with the locals, blow-ins and tourists alike. Stoked have had an amazing menu since the day they opened. The owner & main chef travels each year around the world to inspire his menu, while listening to the regulars for feedback when it comes to deciding what dishes to change and which ones to swap. There's a lot of Basque, Portuguese and Mediterranean influences and few good touches of South East Asia and South America. I love the sharing style of their tapas plates. Don’t get fooled by the size of the plates - every time we’ve been in, we’ve ordered way too many. Let me not forget to mention their lovely wine and beer selection. For years we’ve lived across the road from the restaurant, coming in on a regular basis with friends and family. And recently we’ve hosted our wedding reception there and I can not praise Shane and his team enough. They knocked it out of the park! Everyone in our wedding party enjoyed their food, the service was quick, helpful, understanding and accommodating. They made our day. Thank you!

Top end of food experience. Friendly staff with owner on the front. Highly recommend cauliflower wings, aubergine, homemade gnocchi. Always ask for special and you never going to be disappointed in this place. One of three best places to eat in Sligo area. Recommended 5/5

The hype is warranted, and the food is amazing. One of the best culinary experiences you can have in the Northwest of Ireland!

Stoked is an absolute must-visit in Strandhill for anyone who appreciates creative, high-quality dining in a unique setting. The atmosphere perfectly captures the relaxed surf culture of the area, but the food is pure fine dining. Tucked away upstairs from the Strand Bar, the climb is definitely worth it for the culinary experience that awaits. The menu, while not extensive, is incredibly well-balanced and thoughtfully curated. We opted for a selection of seafood sharing plates, and every dish was a revelation. The Sligo oysters were incredibly fresh and served with both a classic lemon and a delicious Mexican sauce, allowing for two different, yet equally delightful, tasting experiences. The scallops were perfectly seared and wonderfully tender, and the baby squid was light and crispy. A definite highlight and a "must-try" is the Haddock Bao Bun. It was a surprising and fantastic combination of crispy fish, fresh mint, and a lovely sauce, all wrapped in a soft steamed bun. For dessert, the chocolate and honeycomb soufflé was a fantastic finale—rich, airy, and the perfect end to our meal. They also have excellent meat and vegan options, along with daily specials, so there’s always something new to try. The staff at Stoked were incredibly friendly and attentive, even though the place was packed. Despite the full house, the service was quick and efficient. As a final touch, we loved taking our drinks out to the terrace for a breath of fresh air and some evening breeze vibes. It's a perfect spot to enjoy the coastal air. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, and it's definitely worth booking a table in advance. Stoked truly is a hidden gem that delivers a fantastic dining experience.

This place is amazing... They managed to fit us in after rocking up without having a reservation, and boy am I so glad they did. We had the prawns to start which were delicious, flavoursome, with a slight kick, for mains I went for the rump steak and fries, I asked for the steak rare and it was cooked to perfection. My friend had the rack of ribs which to me were the star of the show, thankfully he shared, they were melt in the mouth and coated in an unreal sauce. To top it off for dessert I had the cheesecake, my mate a strawberry pastry, food coma ensued, we rolled ourselves back to the campsite. A must visit, with its friendly staff, and unreal food at a reasonable price I could not fault this place, a hidden gem and a must visit if in the area.

Stoked in Strandhill is outstanding. The menu is broad and creative, and everything we tried was bursting with flavour. The scallops, beef massaman special and prawns were all exceptional. Service was friendly and flawless. A top-class dining experience — five stars.

Cafe Fleur is a popular spot known for serving the best coffee in town. The cafe offers a wide range of freshly baked goods and fillings for sandwiches and wraps, along with dairy alternatives like soya and almond milk. Additionally, they have an assortment of herbal teas and even dairy-free hot chocolate. The atmosphere is relaxed, with seating available both downstairs and upstairs, providing a cozy and quiet environment.
Best coffee in town. There are seat downstairs and upstairs. Amazing range of freshly baked goods and assortment of fillings for sambo and wrap and the likes. They also have dairy alternative ie: soya, almond milk and good range of herbal teas. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere and they also have a loyalty card system for the regular hot beverage customer. Take away is also available. Highly recommended

Good coffee with a wide range of milk and vegetable milk types. Selection of herbal teas. Dairy free hot chocolate available. Good selection of items to pick for your wraps or sandwiches. Nice atmosphere, quiet and cozy upstairs area. Some of the staff are extremely nice and helpful. I've been in a few times and will be back. Recommended.

Amazing manager/owner so friendly and welcomes and acknowledges everyone which means a lot. The chai latte is delicious and I'm hooked. Highly recommend this place, free hugs too if you need one😁

Lovely coffee and tea. They also make the best sandwiches. Very limited on seating at peak times but eat in or take out you will always get quality at the right price.

Cafe Fleur, in my opinion, is a gem in the main street of Sligo. Its a small space and not really where I would while away a few hours in the afternoon on my laptop but the coffee was delicious and the sandwich menu is contemporary and modern. The atmosphere is open and 'brisk' and my impression is one of a great lunch place for office workers or meeting someone for morning coffee. The menu boards are on TV screens on the background (as well as in hard copy). There is a community feel about the place with a notice board of events happening in Sligo as well as cool panoramic picture of Rockwood Parade on the wall. There is also reference to supporting the 'bit o red' or the local football team on the board. All in all, for me, it is a great coffee/food experience in the heart of the town.

Had lunch there. Staff very rude and unfriendly. Had to ask for a menu, Service was fast but food quality and size was not good. Small portions with no side salad or anything. Milk jugs on the table were half empty or on the turn. Would not recommend and wont be eating here again

Wonderful, friendly staff. Amazing tasting coffee. Delicious food. Much more worthwhile supporting this small business than heading to a chain store for mediocre coffee and service.

It's a pity but the coffee is not very good but the sandwiches are nice and the staff are very friendly it's also located on the main street in Sligo and easily accessible if you're travelling by car there is a car park nearby this coffee is usually crowded which is a good sign

Asian restaurant
Miso Izakaya Sligo, an Asian restaurant that recently underwent a change in ownership, now boasts an exciting new menu. Customers who visited the restaurant for Valentine's dinner were delighted to find complimentary soju being served, which they found to be of excellent quality. Despite arriving late, they were pleasantly surprised when the new owner personally crafted sushi for them since it was no longer available on the menu.
Love it💕! As a Taiwanese live in Waterford, I haven't had real good Asian food since I moved to Waterford so I could feel my soul was dying... 😭, and Miso Izakaya surprised me🌟! Everything we ordered were great!!! Full of flavour, make me just want more!! We had three starters and two mains, with beers and house red (surprisingly great house red! Probably the best house red we ever had). San Bei Chicken is full of the fragrance of soft tender garlic/fried ginger and basil! 👍Even the chili sauce, just taste like home~ my whole family really enjoyed our visit and looking forward to see them again!

I would recommend the Teppan Beef, it was really good but I was expecting much more from this restaurant. It’s always busy and they never have table available because the place is really small. Sushi platter was ok, sushi was not done properly as you can see in the pic but they taste just fine not worth for the price but is the only sushi in town. Building is very old and the toilet was dirty, broken and smelling really bad. It’s a bit expensive for what is offered.

Ordered takeaway in the restaurant. Manager took my order and was very nice, I was offered a glass of wine on the house after joking about my frustrating evening. Unfortunately that's where the pleasant experience ended. I ordered: -Fried Tofu: we didn't get the sauce. -Prawn tempura: the "tempura" was like chipper batter. Thick and mushy. Not a hint of flakiness. -Pork Gyoza: these were burnt. Literally burnt black in places. They clinked on my plate. -Chicken Karaage: I ordered the starter but I was served (and charged for) the main. The difference was a side dish: rice, some tiny salads and a dip. This was €10 more than the starter. The chicken was very bad quality. -Sushi small set: only got one little soy bottle but otherwise no complaints. This was tasty. Because of the mistake taking for the Karaage the bill was €62.50. As I was in a rush I didn't check this until I got home and tallied up the cost as €52.50. I called the restaurant to question this and had to speak and explain myself to 3 staff before I was handed to the staff member who originally served me, the manager. He was, again very friendly and helped me identify why there was a €10 difference but given this was their error while taking my order, I expected at least a credit note or some attempt at compensation. Instead I got a noncommittal apology and and an offer to do a better job next time. Given that lack of interest in correcting their mistake I didn't bother complaining about the food. Easily the worst Japanese takeaway I've ever had.

Perfect blend of Korean cuisines and drinks. Thinking about spicy foods? Miso won't disappoint you. All the rice dishes are super tasty and delicious. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The lighting and the mirror wall with the special menu is a catch.

On vacation in Achill Island, we decided to make a 300 km round trip to Miso Izakaya in Sligo, attracted as we were by the Korean/Japanese/ Taiwanese proposals of the menu. indeed, our lunch greatly exceeded our expectations. Every dishes were just perfect, precisely cooked by the Chef with great talent. We tried the San Bei chicken (Taiwanese) and the Yang Yum chicken (Korean), soo tasty; they are well worth a 300 km detour. And on top of this, very friendly staff, and the Chef that takes time to explain how dishes are cooked. One of the best Asian restaurant in Ireland, with a truly « izakaya » atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

I ordered a california roll and I got a roll with canned tuna, carrot and cucumber instead, so basically aldi grade sushi. The salmon on the nigiri was also smoked, I paid 22 euro and they couldnt even give me soy sauce. I’m honestly dissapointed because I went here before and actually enjoyed the food and this time I couldn’t even finish it, so I dont think I’m going to come back here again.

Top class all round. I couldn't fault any dish. Everything beautifully cooked and presented and great value. The chicken supreme was delicious. Excellent service from the friendly staff. We will certainly be back.

I had an excellent dining experience with my family at Walkers Restaurant. We started with the chicken wings, which were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavour. For the main, I chose the cod, and it was absolutely delicious: fresh, flaky, and beautifully presented, with sides that complemented it perfectly. The service was outstanding from start to finish; the staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The restaurant itself is stunning, with elegant décor that creates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, ideal for both casual meals and special occasions. Overall, Walkers Restaurant is a gem. Fantastic food, great service, and beautiful surroundings make it a place I’ll definitely be returning to.

Worth your visit and €. I had the brisket burger, and for a moment I was wondering if I had been teleported to Texas, where brisket champions. The food was great. I had a classic Burger 17oz., which sated me very well. You can really taste the freshness and quality of the meat and get the sense that the shop cares about organic products. The meal was well worth the price and the service was great and fast. The employees also take time to talk to their costumers which is a big plus.

Service, the gentleman who served us was unbelievable, friendly and very accommodating ! The atmosphere and place itself is spacious and clean, We loved the ambiance! However the Food, is what gives it the 4star, the breakfast bap and breakfast pancakes were tasty, but the size…did not match the price. A little steep in comparison to others locally. I respect people would argue this because of where and how it’s sourced, but still feel the quantity of what you get, doesn’t match the price than if you were to go somewhere in town (that is also responsibly sourced)
C T — Google review
Honestly Farm Kitchen is a fantastic spot in Strandhill, and it was a real lifesaver for us during our holiday. Located right on the beach, it's the only grocery option in the immediate area, which makes it incredibly convenient. You can find everything you need here without having to walk 10 minutes or more to other shops. But it’s so much more than just a convenient store. It’s a wonderful farm shop with a great selection of high-quality, local products. We were particularly impressed with their range of groceries and necessities, from fantastic coffee (both ground and beans) to fresh dairy, artisan bread, farm-fresh eggs, and a variety of vegetables and greens. They also have a great cupboard selection and a thoughtful array of craft beers and wines. While some of the prices reflect the high quality and local sourcing, you can definitely taste the difference. In addition to the shop, Honestly Farm Kitchen also operates as a restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although we didn't get a chance to dine in this time, we've heard wonderful things and it’s at the top of our list for our next visit. The menu looks great and it's clear they put the same care into their food as they do with their shop products. Honestly Farm Kitchen is a must-visit spot in Strandhill. Whether you’re stopping in for some essentials, grabbing a great coffee, or sitting down for a meal, you can’t go wrong. It’s a place that truly embodies the local, high-quality ethos of the area.

We came here for breakfast and everything was phenomenal. The ciabatta chicken sandwich tasted incredibly fresh and the coffee was great as well. After spending some time on the beautiful Strandhill Beach, we stopped by Honestly for a lovely vegan meal. The carrot and coriander soup and falafel wrap were delicious, and the menu was bigger than we expected. The presentation was lovely, and the food was healthy and tasty. A great spot to recharge in Sligo!

Great location and lovely interior. Food was disappointing however. I ordered fish and chips, the fish portion was tiny and mostly just batter, and I felt that there were way to many chips, also some of the chips were soaked in fat from the batter on the chips. No side salad either, just a ramekin of mushed peas. My husband had a burger and he was happier with his.

The food was nice, very expensive for what it was. The gentleman who greeted us in the dining area when asked about the entrance door to the kitchen area, the door continued to bang really loudly every time staff entered and left the kitchen was not concerned about it, suggested the if left open the noise from the kitchen would be muchness worse. Later, another member of staff tried to fix it with a servett unsuccessfully. The constant banging made the experience miserable it was impossible to enjoy our meal.

Have been coming here for years and the quality of the leisure pool has been declining. The steam room was out of service, the sauna was tepid, the plumbing in the changing rooms smells like the toilets are backing up into it, the tiles are nearly black in places and the lockers don't work. Tried to get changed in the changing rooms but due to the lack of lockers the benches were taken up with everyone's kit. The place is very run down and felt disgusting.

Poor food. I had Fillet of Beef Cantonese Style. Beef was tough. I like onions, luckily, because there were lots. The sauce was stodgy and insipid. With boiled rice, €16. At that price I expected something from a takeaway at the top of their game. I’ll go into Sligo town the next time.
