Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, best service! Their take on crepes suzette is worth it. So are the gamberotti flambé. A delicious experience, just a notch under very very best. Deserves a michelin star (not just a Bib gourmand).

A very nice change of ambiance and palette from the majority of eateries in Vieste. This upscale restaurant offers elevated modern Italian cuisine. It's elegantly designed but a bit too stuffy in the summer due to the fact that it's inside a cave, however it's a unique setting and would surely be a cozy refuge in colder weather. The food was very good, notably the raw seafood platter and the green peppercorn steak were wonderful. Excellent selection of local wines from the best wineries in Puglia. Service was fantastic.

A magic location inside the core of Vieste between the amazing streets. Everything was good, the path suggested on the menu is a trip between the most interesting ingredients of that city. There are small things to improve in the services but in general I think the pictures can explain everything.

A unique dining experience in a medieval cave! We would categorize it more as fine dining. The dishes were rather small portions but everything tasted wonderful and fresh. The servers were very personable and attentive. The semi-freddo desert was magical. We highly recommend it!

Attentive service, though overstaffed and thus a bit „too close“ to the tables. Solid menu, outstanding quality of ingredients. We had the tartare di tonno (extremely fresh with highest quality olive oil), the tuna steak (à point), the orecchiette con cime di rapa (not the best we have had so far) and a very good ricotta tarte with mandorle. Very good wine list. The restaurant is rock-cut, a natural grotto which makes for a very special location.

Had a bad experience with an oyster that was not fresh which gave me food poisoning, so wouldn't recommend it. The cooked dishes seemed good, and the atmosphere quite pleasant. The service was great (but could have been quicker considering it was not full).

A dining highlight for us as we tried some unique dishes that we had not come across before - in particular we loved the crispy pasta started called 'not quite carbonara' or something similar. It has a taosted flavour and texture of cereal. The stand out dishes were the orecchietti, little money bag shaped pasta filled with cheese and pear in a creamy cheese sauce with basil, as well as the seemingly simple sounding milk and cream gelato with olive oil, rosemary and this crispy and salty biscuits crumble. Amazingly good! Props to the staff who squeezed us in for a quick dinner, with prompt service and then a random take away ice cream for my sister given free of charge. Very generous and memorable in a strip where so many menus look the same!

An absolutely superb little restaurant. We dined here twice while in Vieste - atmosphere, meals, wine and service all absolutely perfect. The kitchen made something special for our little fussy eaters, and remembered our meals and wine order from the previous night. Hope to be back again!

It raises high expectations, but ultimately disappoints. The dishes were very inconsistent. The antipasti were very tasty, while the others were better than others. The service was quite chaotic, with a sense of rush and ineffective communication between the kitchen and the waiters, as well as between the waiters. At one point, another member of staff served us pasta, but without the other person's dish, without any information, and then ran off. After a while, we caught another passing waiter and asked for information. We finally got the missing dish before the pasta had completely cooled, but the lack of information and the uncertainty spoiled the mood.

Osteria al Duomo came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered came out to be delicious. Their digital menu came as a big help because it gave details to the possible allergen contents of a selection of its recipes. The antipasti were really great and the main courses were filling and tasted delicious! The staff were really helpful and quick! Would I return there with friends and family? Definitely yes!!! 👍👍👍

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening. When we arrived there at 7 pm the restaurant was empty. The menu in was delivered via a qr code, wifi was provided by the restaurant. We ordered a glass of wine each and two courses. First some pasta and then some pork with smashed potatoes. The food is a little bit difficult to rate for me. The first course, the pasta was very good. Then came the second course. This course was quite cold and the pork meat was quite hard since it was cold. I told this to the waitress, they took the food and heated it up in the microwave. I got the dish back 2 minutes later, this time it was warm. It tasted quite good now, however it was not freshly prepared which I would expect from a nice restaurant. This is why I can't rate the food any higher unfortunately. All in all we paid 65€.

Its a Pizzaria that dont serve pizza in the restaurant, just by the bar outside of the by the beach which they cook in the restaurant. The waitress after not coming to take our order from almost an hour (the place was empty) send us to go outside and order the pizza and eat outside standing up. The staff is very rude and we end up order other things from their limited menus which took almost another hour to come and wasn't that good. No one speaks English and its just a place you feel unwelcome.

Food was amazing, I expected service by the sun beds but apparently I need to get up and go to the bar. They also don’t provide towels for the sunbeds. Other than that atmosphere was good and very clean

Had lunch today at the beach bar food that came out was not what was ordered on the second try, they got one right and the other wrong finally we get the food. On asking for olive oil and vinegar and salt and pepper small sachets of each turn up, we are in the olive oil capital of the country and this turns up, also all restaurants are now serving water in plastic cups. Not much hope for the environment when this happens, also there is a charge in Italy called coperto which is a cover charge of 2.5€ per person this entails the bringing of bread but the tables that had panini being bread rolls don't receive bread therefore don't pay the coperto its sad to say that when you see this it's probably because the country is sadly in decline. And by the way the food was nothing flash for 34€ two salads one bottle of still water and 2 x coperto.

Don’t be fooled by the fancy interior. If I could give their service 0 stars, I would. We left the restaurant mid-dinner. One of our dishes didn’t arrive until we checked on it when others were half way through. The claimed ingredients were not in the dish. Do not waste your money! There are plenty of places that have more class and better service.

We saw the €€ symbol and assumed that it is an average-priced restaurant. We were a little bit surprised by the prices while already sitting at the table. Well, the photos posted online looked great, "let's have a fine-dining evening" we then decided. But in my opinion the food and service didn't live up to their price tag, although the restaurant atmosphere was really nice. Only the starter with Iberian piglet in fluffy pastry was really good, whilst our second course dishes were so-so: the tuna steak was decent while the umbrina fish was almost cold and disappointingly tasteless (for 18€). We ordered grilled vegetables and french fries as side dishes. The vegetables were bland and not seasoned at all. Maybe we got spoiled in another - way cheaper - restaurant, where we had fantastic grilled vegetables the day before. The french fries tasted good. The waitress struggled with English communication but was friendly, one of the waiters just pulled away the starter plates while my cutlery fell down on the table, instead of asking me to put aside the cutlery, which I found quite rude in a restaurant with those price tags. Bottom line: * nice, but overpriced restaurant * food taste can vary strongly between dishes

We ate here based on The Lonely Planet recommendation. The Orecchiette was amazing as Lonely Planted stated. The lobster carpaccio was good but over priced for the amount of food. The blue was fabulous as was the pistachio sauce however the sauce over powered the perfectly cooked tuna. Overall the food is good as is the service.

very good food and service, fresh fish and attention, the swordfish was a nice surprise. A bit too small and spaces too crowded, people and staff would be continuosly passing by next to our table, including those paying the bill as my chair was just 30 cm from the cashier. Recommended but try to get a good and quite table out of the way

Charming restaurant with an exclusive romantic atmosphere in the old town with quality, fantastic food. I recommend everyone to taste the "antipasti Vecchia Vieste" menu, which includes from raw seafood to pistachio tuna. Pistachio tuna is something awesome! Elegant, traditional and professional! I recommend to everyone!

One of the best meals of our holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable about what wine would pair well with our meals, which dishes were in seasons, and explained the history of the cave and the restaurant which was very cool. The beef carpaccio was stunning and so flavorful. We split all the dishes and it was delicious and filling. The desserts are amazing especially the orange cake that's made in house. Highly recommend stopping by for a great meal in a very cool place.

Easily one of the best dinners we had in our road trip of Italy. Apart from the excellent food, a special mention should be made to the really beautiful and unique inside decoration, since the restaurant is located inside a rock cave-like space. The staff was really amazing and created a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, nothing reminding stuffy and formal restaurants. As you can tell from the name of the restaurant, they also have a great wine list. The owner recommended two different wines to have with out food, which were both excellent. As a matter of fact, we liked the first one so much that we bought a bottle when we were leaving. A special mention must be made to the homemade limoncello they offered with the dessert, which is probably the best I have tried. All in all, a great experience I would highly recommend!!

Francesco made sure we were well accommodated for my birthday. The food was delicious and service spot on. The Chardonnay Pugliese was exceptional with tropical notes. I particularly enjoyed the scallop carpaccio. Go with confidence.

We ate at this restaurant on the recommendation of a fellow traveller who told us he had eaten there a week straight on his last visit to Vieste. Everything is spectacular - the food is representative of the local cuisine and delicious. The waiter was extremely attentive and answered all our questions, made recommendations and suggested side dishes to complete our meal. If you are looking for an authentic experience, a genuine restaurant and want a meal you will remember and talk about with a curated menu, this is your place. Bonus that the restaurant itself is gorgeous and the atmosphere lends itself to a long and happy stay. My favourite dining experience in all of Italy so far! I would order the cheese stuffed muscles once a week for the rest of my life if I could.

A True Gem Amidst the Touristy Buzz We stumbled upon Enoteca Vesta while navigating the more touristy parts of the city — and what an absolute find it turned out to be. The food here is exceptional, so much so that we went back a second time during our short stay. Every dish was beautifully prepared, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Despite being quite busy both times we visited, the staff handled everything with grace and kindness. That said, it’s clear they could use an extra pair of hands — the team works hard and absolutely deserves the support to keep delivering at this level. If you’re looking for an authentic, high-quality meal away from the typical tourist traps, do yourself a favor and book a table here. Enoteca Vesta is the kind of place that makes you want to linger over dinner and return the very next night — just like we did.

Of you like fish and seafood, this is a very good option. Food was great. Also great value for money. Waiters speak no english but we made it work somehow. A not on the fish soup - it is huge, definitely for at least 2 people, there were 3 fish in it and lots of mussels. It is rather a stew than a soup, almost no liquid. Do not order it if you do not like to clean your fish off bones - it was quite a lot of messy work as it is in a tomato sauce.

The place is cute and quick with the food. We had a great day on the water, and some locals recommended this spot for lunch. We had a bit of everything on the menu and loved it all. The photos don't do it justice. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in Vieste

Everything we ordered used fresh ingridients and were reasonably priced. We had spaghetti with carpet shell clams, fish soup, and sauteed mussels and scampi! The restaurant is open until 12 mignight. The staff were helpful and cheerful despite the lateness of the hour when we went to Box 19. 👍 Would I recommend Ristorante Box 19 to friends and family? YES!!!

I went here because the place where I was staying did advice me Box 19 Quality was not the best, the rice in the risotto was not cooked. A waiter by mistake let the pasta fall on to my friend back and bag. What was unpleasant was the directors of waiter that humiliate him in front of everyone installing abad ambiance.

Horrendous experience, never again , first they sat as outside when a person of the group said that is quite nice inside and he could sit as in the owner said well there is nice sky out ,even after saying we quite like it inside he did not accept our choice, we started to order he missing lots of things like the following : beer , chips for the kids etc. We had to call the waiter so many times back he did not have a clue what he was doing at one point he wanted to being the 2nd type of food and we said what about the 1st . Towards the end of the dinner the other waiters started to fold tables and chairs and we was still sitting . When we gone to pay we said to the owner to treat as well and he said what do you mean , we said a situation with the waiter and he said if it was for him (the owner) he wont even sit us down but he's wife wanted as to stay , insted of apologise for the behaviour of the waiter he was worse then him , wife you could see in her eyes she was a nice person . If you dont belive me have a go if in the area and hopefully you wont get that treatment that we did .

Not worth the hype. I’ve been to many restaurants and without a doubt this was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. From arrival to departure, you’d get better service just about anywhere, I only give 2 star for the food, which was nice, but didn’t live up to the price, hype or expectations. We’ve booked via The Fork (which they use) and on arrival I was told our reservation didn’t exist, and that they always have issues with The Fork - not my problem, don’t use it then? After much persistence we managed to get a table, but people in the same situation behind us didn’t, so dont use The Fork for booking if you must go, but honestly I highly recommend choosing another location to eat! The service was slow, inattentive and really careless. There’s slow and then there’s Il Capriccio. We’ve only managed to order after 45 min, and the wine arrived well after 1hour after we’ve been seated - whilst we saw the bucket just sitting on a waiter station for well over 20 min. Anything we needed, had to ask at least twice and were lucky if it ever arrived. Bread plates, 2 of our party never received them after several asks, from ashtray to wrong wine twice, I could go on and on. Our mains were served whilst we still had dirty plates from the starters, and we were expected to clear our own plates, I don’t mind if I’m paying €20 this was €300 dinner. There is one waiter for 60 covers, what on earth is the management of this restaurant thinking? That’s too much even for a cheap restaurant, let alone this. The food itself ranged from ok to great - but was it wonderful and warrant a return visit? Definitely not. We didn’t try the dessert as we couldn’t wait to get out of this restaurant. The setting though is beautiful right out into the marina, and it is really sad that it is wasted on this restaurant. The bill of course didn’t arrive, so we had to venture to the reception. Where a receptionist/manager acknowledged that the service was really bad herself and didn’t even say sorry. Tried blaming it on a the Fork, but darling, you don’t allocAte enough staff - what do you expect? It’s your fault, not the booking platform. I was incredibly disappointed with this experience, and the food sadly wasn’t enough to lift up the spirits and the experience. Avoid this restaurant, there are many more to choose from in the area and it can’t be worse than this, trust me .

We stopped at Il Capriccio for lunch and had a wonderful experience. We were seated right away and even got to choose where we wanted to sit. The service was excellent, very kind and patient with our two-year-old, which we really appreciated. We ordered the seafood pasta and an appetizer tasting plate with burrata and salami, everything was fresh and delicious. The view overlooking the harbor made it even more special, and with all the activity and entertainment around, it was the perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful day. Highly recommend Il Capriccio for both the food and the atmosphere.

food quite average but balanced with the price… 50€ for a full menu isnt expensive so It’s okay, but waiting 50 minutes in between each dish is excessive, sat at the table at 20:30, got the entry at 21:05 and the first course at 21:51, the second arrived at 22:49… we left before the dessert arrived

Brilliant meal, tasty, pretty, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They brought out tasting pieces for us to start with - the tomato dissolved in your mouth - amazing! The decor is gorgeous too!

WOW. Incredible restaurant. The ambiance, service, and quality of food were all 10/10 for me. I had the traditional tasting menu and chef’s-choice complimentary antipasti. The food was very unique and the presentation was beautiful. I wish I came with more people, as it was too much food for only one person. This is one of the best pizzeria I could find in Vieste. The staff is super friendly and fast. The food is without any doubt excellent. I can only suggest to try the Pizza Bufala. The only thing to improve is the amount of space. There aren't many tables, so if you want to be sure to get a place outside, you should call.

The nutella icecream isn’t ice cream it’s just frozen nutella

Ice cream here is nice (if anything a bit too sweet) and we stopped by several times in different days. The reason for the three stars is because of the lady at the till who told me I should not use a card to pay for a coffee, because of the low amount. Not only this is not legal in Italy to my knowledge, but any card fee is a frictional cost that businesses charge back to customers, so it should not represent a problem. Further point is that the lady was still unhappy after I told her that the coffee was following an 18 euros order I had just finished consuming. So, you’re welcome to go there and enjoy an ice cream, but be mindful about how you might be treated at the money of paying

Served by a rude member of staff with a plait , when asked for a glass for my drink they pursed their lips ,flicked their plait and turned away Extremely Rude and over priced ! Don't go here there are so many places that are polite and pleasant to their customers sadly not this place!

This restaurant is a true gem! The food is delicious and authentically Italian, with that wonderful home-cooked vibe. What really sets this place apart are the great prices and the wonderful service. The owners, along with their daughter (who runs an amazing Airbnb next door called Giardino Dei Limoni), were incredible hosts. They genuinely took the time to walk us through the entire menu, explaining their own culinary creations and highlighting the local, authentic dishes. I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone craving a genuine taste of Italy.

Absolutely amazing place with delicious cuisine (local fried cheese is a must to try)and lovely terrace. I also liked the octopus with mashed potatoes. Very tender and well made. My son 7yo ate it all too and said that is “the most delicious dish he had tried lately”. PS For football fans it is a must to visit place as the owner is collecting jersey and autographs (not only footballers though). The room looks like museum.

A full five star, not easily given. Low season, mid-week, 2 tables only. Setting across from the harbour with two wall sized windows. Food was both excellent and creative. Very affordable local Vieste wine list with a knock out Dodecapolis Primitivo 2016 made it even better. Oyster coated in white chocolate is still on my mind… Tiramisu with truffles - the best tiramisu ever. Innocent sounding grape sorbet was delicious and unique. Specials: Venison filet with foie gras, chestnuts and amarena cherries. White truffles pasta. Both amazing. Great experience for a great price point.

Amazing food and experience.Our table of 5 was blown away with how good the food is here. Everything was delicious but the Basil ice cream was phenomenal! The service was outstanding, especially for the 4 southern Americans who spoke little Italian.

I was shocked in the best way! I stumbled into this place not knowing how spectacular it was. Every bite was incredibly delicious. The presentation is absolutely gorgeous and creative. Try the tasting menu!! The pricing was inexpensive considering the excellent ingredients and skill put into each dish. Kind and attentive staff. One of the best meals I’ve had!

Made a reservation weeks ago through Michelin guide. Arrived at my scheduled dinner reservation and the restaurant was closed. No communication or notice from restaurant

We ordered a started that didn’t arrive . Vegetables arrived 5 minutes before our meal - which were obviously cold when fish arrived. My fish was undercooked and the cheese was chewy and undercooked. My husbands while cooked was cold and tasteless. Waitress said nothing when clearing our almost full plates . We had no Italian to explain but weren’t even asked about it. Over 50e for worst meal we have had in the town. Will def not be returning - so many good restaurants in the area but this is def not one of them !

Really nice place. At first it doesn’t appear they have a good view of the water. But they do have some great seating. I had the ravioli with scampi was great! Staff was super quick and helpful! They speak English also. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Hi, My worst experience in Vieste. We waited 20minutes before we could order. The mussles were old and not with good quility. Very bad experience makes makes that when you pay cash there is a discount. Probably the resturant doesnot pay real taxes.

This is the best pizza I’ve ever had (mortadella) and I’ve tasted all over Italy as well as my Italian mother in law! Our tuna and meat dishes were also excellent. Waitress recommended a perfect wine. It’s such a pretty setting so great experience😊

Mediocre as a dining experience. Food was good - hot, tasty, very nicely presented. I especially like the Irish beef used in the kitchen! But I do like to receive my starter ahead of my main course and side plates, which was not the case on my recent visit. Despite the service failings, I might try again on a quieter night...

Service was okay but food was not great...

We arrived and got a table with a wonderful view. The staff provided English menues and were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole night. The antipasto mare was okay, and the pork chop I had for main course was very nice. My wife thought the squid was average.

Our favourite restaurant in Vieste. Greatest view, fast and agile waitresses and delicious food, of course. Their trocolli allo scoglio is sinfully tasty.

Despite it being on the best location with panorama view on the town (Punta San Francesco) it is not a tourist-trap where they treat you indifferently: the waitresses are friendly and hard-working. Willing to take pictures and attentive. Pizzas were good. Mixed grill was dry though. Prices are very agreeable. Good place to go with kids.

My highlight dinner in Vieste. From the outside and the menu it looks like a touristic restaurant, what you can find everywhere. But it wasn’t that! Great service, with absolutely great food and a great view! 100 points!

Superb location with great views (see picture). Service was good but the food was average. The pasta was overcooked but the tomato sauce with it was undercooked. The grilled octopus was slightly burnt. Menus available in multiple languages. Calamari and gamberi fritti was good.

The wait to order was long but very much worth it. The meat options were plenty and of high quality. The meat was grilled and we had to bring the plate to the table ourselves. The meat was simply amazing. Unfortunately there are no fries available as a side dish and the grilled potatoes were finished when we had to order. Had we been able to get fries, this establishment would have received 5 stars. Price for the meat was reasonable and the drink prices were cheaper than expected. Only con to this restaurant was that we had to wait for our table to be cleaned. However, the wait was very short, under 5 minutes.

BEWARE TOURISTS!!! I had an absolutely terrible experience at this butcher shop. What seemed like a regular place to buy some local meat turned out to be a nightmare. First off, the prices are a complete scam. They literally double the prices without any warning, and the change in pricing is only indicated on a small, barely noticeable sign. It felt like a deliberate attempt to deceive customers, especially those unfamiliar with the area. When we brought this up with the owner, instead of addressing our concerns professionally, he rudely dismissed us with a sarcastic "Go have a pizza." Such an attitude is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with customers who are clearly being overcharged. To make matters worse, when we finally got the receipt, we noticed that many cuts of meat had been charged at even higher prices than those listed! It was an absolute rip-off, and the whole experience left a bitter taste in our mouths. In summary, avoid this butcher shop at all costs. The pricing is dishonest, the service is rude, and the entire operation feels like a tourist trap designed to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. Spend your money elsewhere!

First you buy the cut of meats of your choice, the bottled drinks, sides of grilled veggies and roasted potatoes etc, in the butcher/groceries store. Then, they move your tray of meats to the grilling area outside the store. Someone brings your plates/utensils at a table. For beef the grill people call you to decide how rare you want it. Service is minimal, food is pretty good, including the veggies. Ambiance is quirky, pleasant but definitely rustic/basic. Many many tables, but later evenings may fill up.

This very much is a tourist trap where they overcharge for average-tasting meat without showing the right prices. We went here to eat yesterday and as soon as we finished choosing our meats we were met with a way higher price to pay than what was written on the menu. There was a sign (in italian) hidden behind the counter stating that for each item of meat “to be cooked” (aka just slapped on a grill for five minutes) the price would rise to 21.9 €/kg. Even then, we were charged up to 40 €/kg for some items (a hamburger ended up costing 22€!). When we asked to remove a couple of items - before they were cooked - because the price was too high, the owner started heckling us, asking us why we didn’t go eat pizza if we wanted to save money and muttering insults under his breath. Bare in mind that we were 20 people and still ended up paying a total of around 700€, probably the biggest table of the night and were treated with absolute disrespect. The meat was average tasting but still good, although we were expecting much more. We were offered limoncello at the end of the dinner , which was a saving grace. Next time we will listen to the owner. Leave, pay nothing and bring our money towards pizza.

Very good meat... well prepared and grilled. The grill starts at 7PM. The crowd starts about 8PM. The restaurant is open till 11PM

The best restaurant in Vieste for us :) All dishes which we had - from starters to desserts were great. Pasta with seafood, octopus, tuna tartare and semifreddo were delicious :) It’s recommended to book a table in advance. BTW during the day we also stopped there for a drink with a splendid view :)

Very good restaurant. Not very expensive and outstanding quality. Only indoors. In the old town of Vieste near the St Francesco church. They are kind. If you arrive prime time you should book if you do not wish to wait a bit. After 930, there is no need though.

It is very difficult to find a good restaurant amidst the more touristic places in Vieste. We had lunch in thus restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. The offer also a good wine selection including vini rosati.

Great service and amazing food! We had Chef’s Soup with beans and shrimps and it was delicious. We tried different pizzas: Diavola, 4 formagio and wurst pizza - all of them were very tasty! Homemade white wine - highly recommend! Great service and nice ambience.

I have never left a review before. But this restaurant merits 5+. I’ve been told in business. It’s very hard to achieve quality, speed of service and customer service. At this restaurant they have achieved all of this. I went there twice and each time the food was delivered very quickly by a friendly owner and delicious. Claudio and his son deliver amazing food and a great price.

Great place to Visit while in Vieste. Great views and lovely food. We had a traditional pasta troccolo garganico and 4 stagioni pizza. Food presentation was great, pasta was delicious and full of flavours, however the pizza is falling shortly due to lack of flavours and competition around offers much better pizza for the same price or cheaper. Aperol spritz was delicious and refreshing, all what you need for a hot day's like this.

Welcoming, Delicious, Romantic The farm is well worth the extra kilometers into the hills. Not only does the family welcome you with a smile, their story and a visit to their cheese grotto, but the animals too come to say hello when you approach their pens. The farm sourced menu is particularly genuine and very Garganico. Try the prosciutto di capra as well as their home produced and aged cheeses. The restaurant has three rooms one large and family oriented and two smaller ones that follow. You’ll find a romantic corner at table n. 1 near a window and the fireplace. Views of Vieste from above and over the Adriatic surround the hilltop. This is a must for non touristy down home Pugliese fare.

Amazing "Masseria" on the hills over Vieste. Family owned since generations. The owner takes the time to greet every single table and explains in detail what is available. High quality food from the farm directly to your plate. We shared a few dishes, among others grilled boar and an amazing pasta with artichokes. Unique experience.

We tried this restaurant twice. The first time, we had lamb and the second time monkfish. Both were delicious, as were the deserts. An extra plus for the high-quality red wine we offered by glass together with the lamb. The restaurant has a wonderful view over the Adriatic Sea.

The reason for the 4 stars is because the glass was dirty with lipstick. The server bought a clean glass. He was not happy about the glass being dirty. Am sure someone is going to get a Yelling. Bad. The food was horrible. The pizza was soggy and bland, the fried calamari tasted like nothing and the pasta I ordered was undercooked and hard to chew. The prices are too high for the amount of food/price ratio - I paid 16,50€ for my pasta with octopus and the amount was shockingly tiny (I also expected at least a small tentacle of the octopus but I got just a few tiny bits and a tiny bit of cheese on top). !!there are definitely way better restaurant with nicer views than this one to spend your money in!! Spend your money in a nicer restaurant with tastier food.

It can barely cope in peak season but the stuff is efficient and professional. Pricey at €10-15 for a pasta, €15-20 for meat fish. We ordered one fish for two and paid €48 just for it!! It was good though.

The pizza was disappointing; small in dimension but heavy. The base and tomato sauce were insipid, there was too much mozzarella, and in the case of the Siciliana you couldn't taste the caciocavallo, and the aubergines were tasteless and looked raw.

We had a breakfast included with our room here which was a pretty good buffet with a view down to the port. Watch out for ‘il Pinguino’ as he’s rude and really brings an unpleasant energy to the start of the day! He is the reason for my 2 star rating

We booked a table for three and asked for a gluten free pizza in advance. Everything was in order when we arrived and table was reserved under the main marquee. All pizzas were good, including the gluten free one, actually the gluten free dough was very good. We also had a draught beer and a gluten free one, a nice detail. A pleasant dinner and good service even if they were all very busy. Price looked reasonable. I'm not giving 5 stars because I ate better pizzas cooked in wooden fire ovens, and they taste better. However for celiac people this location is highly recommended and make sure to book the gluten free pizza half day or one day in advance.

Preparation of food is spot on, everything cooked to perfection. Of course primarily a seafood restaurant and the skill to prepare seafood to this level is a beautiful skill. Presentation of the food is phenomenal, appetizing and professional. This is not your average restaurant in Vieste. The location along the marina is peaceful and beautiful. Service was courteous and professional without being intrusive. We ended up having probably too many dishes but every bite was a new tasting experience.

I had a really enjoyable meal here. The location is relaxing—tucked away from the main drag but right on the water. I was hesitant to go on a Saturday night for fear of not getting a seat as a single person but I had no issues. Service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious—I got the tuna tartar as a starter, can’t remember the exact pasta, and the molo 54 dessert. Would recommend!

Great place for dining. My partner and I had dinner in this restaurant and we loved all dishes served. We had 2 starters and 2 pasta seafood. I really recommend order the tuna tartare and the scialatelli pasta with shrimp. The food is testy and fresh. I was impressed by the size of the dishes.. it was bigger than other restaurants of Vieste. I think the price is cheap compared for the food served. 35€ per person with 3 glasses of wine. Staffs are Amazing and professional! Really recommend!

We sat on a beautiful patio overlooking the water and the harbour. The sea bass was delicious and the chocolate mousse was decadent. The servers and the chef were all wonderful and very helpful. Definitely a must try if you are in Vieste!

Great place for families in Summertime from April onwards to September. Before that it is a bit cold and restaurant and shop is still closed. They create their own wine. Hot water wasn't always working. Service is very very friendly and the room was provided with linnen, towels and soap which was great. The oven was not working, but they have barbeque options in good weather of course. You have to use a key to open the electric gate when driving inside and outside. Rest is all fine!!

Nice lodging with kitchen and as well bbq place for each cottage. Equipped with glasses , coffee cup , frying pan and all but there is no dish soap and sponge. So bring your own ✌️ But the bed is not the comfortable as you can feel the spring.

The place looks good but it lacks good administration. The restaurant offers limited dishes in the evening (e.g. no pizza). The accomodation is small with kitchens that are not equipped properly and the ventilation is smelly.

Optimo paposcia! We wandered into this restaurant one night while in Vieste. We were seated at a table on the street. The very kind son of the owners speaks very good english and helped us choose our meal. I had a salad, very fresh and my husband the paposcia rustica. Arriving there unfortunately was raining and they accommodated us inside - atmosphere was nice - service was great and the food divine !!! They were amazing . Best pizza I had ! Got 2 Pastas of the day (they offer 3) and a mixed grilled meats plate, house wine. Everything was very good. Restaurant is in a olive grove off the beaten track. Seating is inside, terrace and in the garden. The chalet offers their own parking, and really nice atmosphere. Staff was fast and friendly.

The chef really takes care of his customers, with small plates being offered throughout the meal, becoming a tasting experience. I especially loved the semifredo of pistachio. We stayed by the sea and the whole atmosphere and the staff made it a very special moment.

This is a fish restaurant, and my 2 first courses were just superb - cooked to absolute perfection, and utterly delicious.. My vegetarian wife was equally well catered for, with delicious seasonal dishes.. the artichoke, cooked 4 ways was sensational... Dessert was also delicious - my wife said her chocolate fondant was one of the best ever... Even the service was faultless... I thoroughly recommend this restaurant...

Lovely little restaurant with great food. You get to dine in the old part of the town, very nice atmosphere. We had 3 starters: burratina, pepata di vongole and caciocavallo alla piastra. The latter two I would very much recommend, particularly the caciocavallo which is also a local cheese. The troccoli alle vongole veraci were delicious, though a little spicy (but that is the traditional recipe), but it's just something worth knowing if you don't eat spicy. The semifreddo al pistacchio was also good. Waiters were all nice, however service was slow. I think we just got a little unlucky with the time our order was placed as basically all the other tables got their order before us, so I assume they were waiting too and just had ordered before. This is the only reason I'm giving a full 5 stars. Otherwise very happy with it and would recommend.

We had a lot of spectacular meals during our months trip to Italy but this meal topped my list of favorite meals. At the owners suggestion I ordered an Oriente pasta dish topped with a velvety flavorful Spanish cheese, truffle sauce, finished with pistachio flakes. It literally bathes your palet in a dreamy smooth satisfying blend of simple yet distinct flavor. I followed up with a beautifully prepared filet in a green herbed peppercorn sauce. The owner also paired a complex susumienielo wine and complimentary Gelato. Don't miss this quiet spot if you are in Vieste.

Amazing food, top quality and scenery

One of the best restaurants in Vieste. The owners are very friendly and are trying to really provided excellent cuisine everyday with some excellent wines in the cellar especially sparkling wines. By far the most kid friendly restaurant we visited.

Family run and you can feel that all round. Got to be one of the most beautiful spots you can think of. Lots of locals mingling with us tourists. Antonio brought us the seafood specials and helped with recommendations. Lovely, lazy evening meal. It beats the regular, easy to find, options hands down. Thank you Y and A!

Arcaroli is the BEST ***** restaurant in Vieste! We was there already last year and come back in this year 2025 July . Very delicious, tasty food, large selection, generous portions, excellent menu, delicious wines. Very nice service. Professional owner and staff. I can only recommend it. I liked the sea plate - oysters, sea urchins, mussels, various marine reptiles. All raw, there were also slices of lemon. This dish is served with a glass of prosecco or water. Dish of the day - there was pasta with crab in tomato sauce, salty, a lot of pasta and tomato sauce, there was little crab, just for show. Dish of the day cost 25 euros instead of 16. Didn't like it.

I visited this place twice and it was always perfect. The food was very good.

I would not recommend this fish store to anyone. The owner is a scammer who uses fake reviews to make her business look more reputable than it is. I went in there to buy a new aquarium and some fish, and she was very pushy and tried to sell me things I didn't need. She also told me that the fish I wanted were out of stock, but when I came back the next day, they were all there. I'm convinced that she was just trying to make a sale. I also noticed that the reviews on her website were all very positive, but they all sounded the same. I did some research and found out that she was paying people to write those reviews. I'm so disappointed with this business. I would never go back there again.

The oldest restaurant of Vieste! A beautiful farm filled with olive and fig trees that you can smell them during meals! The food is fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend.

Had the best, authentic meal here! So grateful for our friends Rocco and Ilaria that brought us to experience the best of Vieste! From the bruschetta, with all the options like roasted peppers, marinated eggplant and zucchini, melted caciocavallo cheese, and sun dried tomatoes to the grilled meats, everything was exquisite and so tasty! To top it off, an after dinner limoncello made with olive tree leaves 🧑‍🍳 like nothing we’ve ever tasted! We highly recommend this place if you want a genuine, rustic experience set among the olive groves of Vieste with amazing views!

My wife and I had a selection of antipasti while the children had a pasta dish. We also had dessert and soft drinks and it was just over 20 euros each. We only had antipasti as there was so much we couldn't manage a main course. The food was fresh and tasty. And without asking we were provided with a doggy bag to take away about 10 euros worth of salami and cheese that we couldn't get through. We paid the same amount in Peschici for Pizza, chips and tiramisou. It may be a little off the beaten track but from our experience it is well worth seeking out.

The kindness and knowledge of our host and hostes, and their young assistant Stefano completes the picture and make it an unmissable experience. It's a 7 minute drive from Vieste seafront, a bit too long, rough and uphill to make it an easy walk, but well worth the drive.

Don't let the yellow scheme fool you, this place had one of the best pizzas I've had in the region. Great food and service with an enjoyable atmosphere.

It was not bad, but the yelow concept ( dress code - person which work in this restaurant - that is not good, it is like fast food. If we eating and the workers sitting and eating chips and looking on the mobil, that is no professionals, meals was not horrible, but next time we choose other restaurant. Make better your bussinnes, than the customers are really happy.

Looks a bit like a tourist trattoria, but the pizza ist very tasty. Service is very good also, fast and delicious food.

Ordered a main pasta dish and a salad. Both were completely salty and almost inedible, I complained to the waiter and he took off the pasta dish but not the potatoes nor was he accommadating when we complained about the potatoes. It seemed liked he wanted to get rid of us asap and not accept the negative feedback. It is very disappointing for a last night when we are buying a property here

Reservation at 21:30, we manage to sit at 22:15. We wait standing next to other tables having dinner while waiters keep reassuring us they’re preparing our table. We sit and wait long even to have the first glass of water. We decide to stay hoping the food would be worth the wait, but it unfortunately was not.. What a disappointment.

10/10 for everything: amazing food, great service and they were also really nice and accomodating with our 2 toddlers, bringing out their meals first and super quick (as requested). Would definitely be back and recommend!

Absolutely lovely spot for dinner. We stumbled upon this gem and were won over by the charm of the staff and the warm atmosphere. Food was simple and delicious, exactly what you want from authentic Italian cuisine. Peppered mussels and the Orecchiette con cime di rape. Flavourful, well cooked, and seasoned to perfection..all for the lower price than the restaurants on the main streets. Just what I'm looking for. Highly recommended

I was there for the first time. It is not easy to find this place, but when you get there it’s a very nice place with a great climate. We ate Caciocavallo, Pepata di Cozze, Paposcia and Fileto di Pesce - everything was delicious (very big portions).

We are experienced Italian travelers and have tested numerous Italians restaurants during 20 sequential years of traveling in every part of Italy. Since the service at Al Vicoletto was very good, we will try to help this restaurant with some constructive criticism. It's should also be mentioned that we didn't try anything from the sea which might be of better quality. Here are our votes: 1☆ Antipasti: We had cold cuts of ham and cheese, which was of very poor quality, and the one star was due to good olives, otherwise zero stars would be more correct. 3☆ Pizza: Average Italian standard but far from Naples... 3☆ Contorno: We had grilled vegetables which were OK, but strangely served with the anti pasti and not with the secondo. 4☆ Secondo: We had sliced beef with small tomatoes, rocket salad, and permesan cheese, which was good and had a nice level of saltiness. 2☆ Wine list. Only a few medium level wines. If you are from Germany and prefer ordering in the native language, this is a good choice. Finally, we again would like to mention the good service.

This restaurant was recommended by our place. Unfortunately we were not happy with it. The food was ok, the service was miserable. We felt ignored by the waiters, weren't asked if we wanted an desert, espresso whatever and weren't able to find someone to get the check. When we went to the cashier, we waited there as well, asked 3 people until someone was ready to let us pay. Might be related to the busyness. But we would not go there again.

We have traveled over 7 regions of Italy in the last 10 years. The staff was lovely and the ambiance was very nice on a spring night, but the pizza was kind of tasteless.

The word "no" doesn't exist in this restaurant. We heard many questions during dinner, but staff always reply YES. Really very kind. Pretty crowded till late night, this location lays in the middle of the alleys of "old Vieste". Good food at fair prices.

A hidden gem. It seems only known by the Italians. The beef was the best my partner had tasted in a long while and being from London that is a compliment indeed. My swordfish was honest italian cooking and home made potato chips which were the best. We didnt have a dessert as we had eaten a large lunch. If you come to Vieste be sure to experience this restaurant. Very good service and price was good too and seating outside was perfect.

Three words - simple, hot and delicious! The base was crusty even as the rest of the pizza was the right amount of soft, and the tomato sauce hit the exact note and wasn't overpowering in the least! Best of all, this place is super economical! We had a whole pizza and a bottle of chilled lemon flavoured peroni - all for just €8,50/-!

Quite a calm place with a nice view. Tasty aperol spritz but 6e for such a plave doesn't feel like great deal. What I didn't enjoy is that if you're only for a drink you're excluded from majority of tables even though all of them were free.

A friendly welcome with tasty food & lovely views . Our problem was the menu was in Italian or German & no English version . Pity but there again we should learn some Italian . Anyway won’t stop us going again .

The food is ok but nothing special, it's something acceptable if you are nearby and don't want to go to the old town where the places are much better. The best thing is the terrace and beach tables, very nice in the evening. Service was good, food came very fast. Nothing more than this though.

Food is nice, price is not too high. Service is great. Waitresses are nice and kind. Ihad Zuppa munno and I love it seafood is very fresh and yummy. I will go back there again.

I asked for a porcini risotto and received a seafood risotto. It wasn’t a problem as I love seafood, and the risotto was delicious. My husband loved his food as well. In my opinion, this family run restaurant is an excellent place to go for dinner. They also offer a “biscotti” with limoncello by the end.

A typical tourist trap. I knew that before we entered but I couldn't be bothered walking any further in that heat. A small beer, water, salad and one (1 literally) pork chop without a side dish we paid €46. Exagerated for the location, quantity and quality. The place did not look bad, though

I went to this restaurant given the good reviews however, the food was not good. We ordered couple of appetizers, grilled sausage and grilled seas food. Nothing was good. The service wasn’t great either. I won’t recommend the restaurant. We went to other restaurants in Vieste, that were much better.

Absolute loser. The useless person asked us to sit down and when we said we wanted to wait by standing as we had a long journey sitting he denied service and said the restaurant is closed took the menu away. Senseless owner. I even had a 6 year old with me and he is insensitive.

Delicious pizza in a very quick, mellow takeout spot. Right across the street from the ocean so not a bad place to wait. I’ve loved the pizza each of the three times I’ve eaten here.

We spent the week in Vieste and tested different places, this place makes the best pizza and paposcia BY FAR! You have to be patient because they have a lot of orders, but it's worth the wait!
