The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park in Florida is a fascinating destination for history enthusiasts and families alike. This expansive park features a 16th-century Spanish settlement, complete with historic village sites and cannons. Visitors can embark on an educational journey through St. Augustine's Spanish Colonial times and Native American culture, making it an ideal spot for kids to learn about human history while having fun.
What a fantastic place to visit! It was definitely a highlight of my vacation! The people working there are amazing! Friendly..professional..extremely knowledgeable. The young woman telling about the fountain was amazing. I could have listened to her all day. The blacksmith demonstration was great. I learned quite a bit there and then the cannon demonstration along with the rifle demonstration was very interesting. I recommend this to everyone. I will definitely be coming back to tour again.

This is the second time I've visit and it still amazes me. 😁 I'm hoping 🤞that drinking the water will keep me young! There are several things to explore. If you have a good stomach, it could be an experience drinking 🍸 the water. It has a mild sulfur taste to it. I would recommend this place. Happy exploring! If this was helpful to you, please send me a 🙏👍 or ❤️... Have fun!!!
Explore L — Google review
The Fountain of Youth is without a doubt one of the top attractions you have to see when visiting St. Augustine. There’s so much to do here—it can easily take 2–3 hours to see everything, and if you stop to watch all the shows, you could easily spend the entire day. I especially enjoyed the firearm and cannon demonstrations, which were both fascinating and impressive when they were fired. The staff really make the experience even better—everyone I met was friendly and very knowledgeable. A special shout-out to the gentleman by the boat, who patiently answered all my questions and shared so much interesting information. This is definitely a must-visit spot!
Mike M — Google review
This the oldest continuous American settlement in the country and a super cool place to visit if your in striking distance of the St Augustine area. I mean come one, how could you not want to have a drink from the fountain of youth?! All jokes aside, for $22 this is a very neat experience.
A R — Google review
This place was super cool, mainly for me because of the peacocks! They were everywhere and so beautiful. They were also planning a wedding there which I can imagine would be beautiful. Oh and a pigeon landed on my hand when I was feeding the birds which was the coolest thing ever.
Caroline M — Google review
This had meticulously maintained grounds. Loved the peacocks, the history, drinking from the fountain. The whole group stayed very engaged from 10 years old up until mid 80's. We cannot wait to come back and continue exploring.
Elena I — Google review
I would give it 5 stars because it was a great experience, so many fun history lessons/ sights however... the "fountain of youth" was NOT ground water. It was replaced with city water. That was the only disappointment. Feeding the birds and squirrels was so much fun!
Dusti E — Google review
We took a trolley tour to get here and got to enjoy the beautiful trees with Spanish Moss hanging from the branches as we entered the Historic Fountain of Youth park. You can buy your tickets at the entrance and either take the guided tour or do a self-tour with the map they give you. We did the self tour and were there for about 3 hours in order to see everything. I watched as my daughter climbed up to the top of the water tower to see the beautiful views and photo ops. We also checked out the Fountain of Youth and drank from it. However, we have not become younger looking. Oh well. We also watched the cannon shooting demonstrations. The tour was worth going on. Tickets were $23 per adult. The gift shop was great with all kinds of cool items about Ponce de Leon and the Fountain of Youth. I loved the Southern BBQ restaurant on premises. Delicious BBQ sandwiches and more. You gotta try it! There is a large parking lot for free parking.

Historical landmark
The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is a historic fort that offers self-guided tours, allowing visitors to explore from the drawbridge to the gun deck while enjoying views of Matanzas Bay. Situated in St. Augustine, it was built from 1672-1695 and served as a Spanish Empire post. Made from coquina, a locally sourced stone-like compound, the fort was never taken in battle.
This historic fort and museum is a must-visit! The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing the area's rich history. We enjoyed exploring the exterior, where we spotted sea turtles, dolphins, and even a manatee at 6 p.m. The views of the sea are stunning, and the architecture is impressive. While we didn't take the tour, the self-guided walk around the grounds was enjoyable and informative. Parking is convenient, although it's best to arrive early to secure a spot and take great photos. Don't forget sunscreen, as the sun can be strong. The fort offers a fascinating glimpse into Spanish history and its significance in the United States. Overall, it's a humbling experience that's perfect for history buffs and families alike.
Mohit G — Google review
Very cool fort with great views. It was an extremely hot day so I highly recommend bringing a bottle of water with you and maybe even a small towel. 🥵There were 2 main levels and you could self guide yourself through it although they had a guided tour option. There was zero shade when you’re up on the top but you were able to see where they had the old firing cannons which was super cool. As you walk through each room they had plenty of artifacts and information which was helpful to understand. I felt that it was very well maintained and full of rich history! They do offer bathrooms inside as well.
Nina C — Google review
In the heart of St. Augustine, Florida, a city steeped in history, the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument rises as a beacon of the past. Completed in 1695 after 23 years of painstaking labor that began in 1672, this breathtaking structure stands as a testament to Spanish ingenuity and determination. Originally conceived as a fortress to safeguard their treasures and secrets, its immaculate architecture commands attention, overlooking one of St. Augustine's most picturesque vistas. Though tours offer an immersive experience within its walls, even a glimpse from the exterior reveals the monument's unparalleled grandeur. Constructed from unique Coquina stone, the walls exhibit a mesmerizing mosaic of tiny shells, a strategic choice that proved impervious to English sieges. Today, the Castillo stands resolute, each piece of Coquina holding echoes of the past, while the land upon which it rests cradles everlasting memories along the bay. As visitors approach, they are transported back in time, captivated by the stories etched into every stone. The Castillo de San Marcos not only stands as a physical structure but also as a living narrative, preserving the legacy of those who built and defended it. Its enduring presence ensures that the tales of courage, strategy, and cultural heritage will continue to captivate and inspire generations to come.

This was an amazing experience, I enjoyed visiting the Castillo de San Marcos. The history here is incredible — it really feels like stepping back in time. The fort itself is beautiful, and the views of the water are awesome. The cannons were definitely my favorite part. It’s just one of those places that makes you appreciate how much history St. Augustine has to offer. Highly recommend it, go during the day and at night.
Sergio C — Google review
Very cool historic castle to tour! The top offers a great view of the water and surrounding area, plus old cannons you can check out. On the ground level there are multiple rooms to explore, each with interesting displays and information about the history of the fort. You can also see step-by-step demonstrations of how soldiers would load and fire the cannons as well as their muskets, which is really fascinating. The staff dressed in Spanish army costumes brought the place to life and made the whole experience feel even more authentic. Definitely worth visiting if you’re interested in history or just want to see something unique.
Carson S — Google review
The people who work there are kind and thoughtful. The restrooms are clean, and stalls are plentiful. It's a good place to relax, learn about the area and city, take a few pictures, and even shop for bargains. Because of the government shutdown, not everything is availablem
Barbara B — Google review
The Castillo de San Marcos is always well worth the visit. The structure alone clearly articulates its history and its various functions from the 17th through the 20th centuries The grounds are well-maintained by the NPS and are excellent for walking. This fort is one of the many treasures that makes Saint Augustine the beautiful city that it is. To see the ancient walls lit up at night is breathtaking.
Edward B — Google review
Very cool to see and great read about the history of the fortress that was built by the Spanish over 450 years ago. It was built to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route. My family and I were on a family vacation and visited the historic fortress on a Tuesday morning, so it wasn’t crowed. Parking spots were available because we got there before it opened (9:00am eastern time). There’s a parking meter in the parking lot. There were 22 of us going to see the fort and only paid $50 for everyone! My mother/father in law got in for free because they’re seniors. I think each senior can have up to four grandchildren that can center for free; there were a total of 12 grandchildren. My mother in law also has an annual park pass so that gave her additional discounts! If you have it, ask them about any discount. If you’re in the area, stop by and see the history and the view. It would have been more enjoyable for me if the weather was a little cooler 😅. They have cannons and many rooms you can enter. Each door you enter, there’s a history you can read about it. There’s also a theater room you can enter and watch a documentary about how the fortress came about. Of course, before you leave the fortress- stop by the gift shop!

My family and I love the Florida Cracker Cafe. Everytime we are in Florida, we are going to St. Augustine to go to this restaurant. The food is amazing and my family loves the shrimp and I also always got a delicious vegetarian black bean wrap even though it’s not on the menu. The staff is always very welcoming and nice and the atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommended!

Good size plates for the high price. The soup is pretty spicy, if you like that. The new England clam chowder is medium thick but taste good. The shrimp wrap is filled with simp and veggies but the dill dressing really doesn't go well. It makes it bland. Excellent service. Great fries!!

First time here in St Augustine and stopped to grab a bite. These folks were so great we had our Poodle Leo and they even put his grilled chicken in a doggy bowl. Everything was great! Thanks to these fine folks .

We came in at 12:30 on a Monday with a party of 20. They handled the split checks and changing kids orders masterfully. The server was very hospitable. We all thought the food was very good. I had the crab cake sandwich with a cucumber salad and thought it was delicious.

Great food, friendly service, and perfect downtown location! We had such a great experience at the downtown The Florida Cracker Cafe. It’s a cozy, family-friendly spot tucked in a perfect location near St. George Street. We honestly loved everything we ordered — flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. Our waitress was fantastic — so sweet, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire meal. The whole atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the food really delivered. Definitely recommend if you’re exploring the area and want a casual spot with great eats and great service!

Nice old-school cafe. Great service, decent prices. We tried the gator strips appetizer and it was tasty. Crab cake sandwich was good. Fried green tomato BLT was good. Not amazing or fine-dining, but we would eat here again.

I really love this place. I was on a trip for my birthday weekend and we had our dog with us. And this place was very accepting of dogs. They had a great doggy menu, it was a great location. The food was very good. I'll post pictures. I had the bangers and mash and I did love them. My husband had the wings very tasty. This establishment is truly wonderful and welcoming. It's heartwarming to know they embrace furry companions, making travel so much more enjoyable for pet owners. Creating such a positive experience for guests is commendable. It was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Thank you for a delightful experience .

Nice pub to go to while visiting st Augustine. Paid parking or you can free park across the alley. We got the Curry pub fries which were very tasty and good. For main course we got the Mac & cheese 🧀 and it was really yummy! Cheese sauce was made really well! A lot of places close at 9 so this was great to go late night Prices are very fair Curry fries were $11 Mac & cheese was $16 100% recommend

Great experience in a dinner for 4. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Food was delicious and flavorful. Cocktails were interesting and tasty. Prices reasonable. Susan was a wonderful server. Loved that the music was reasonable volume and we could easily talk.

My husband & I were walking the Historic downtown St. Augustine area when we stumbled upon this little pub. Thought we'd give them a try. Once i side we saw a sign advertising $5 happy hour food and drink specials. My husband decided to get the $5 smash burger and the $5 wings. While I chose to get the brussel sprout appetizer and poutine! First off, we waited a long time for our food when finally another waiter came to our table and said he had accidentally given our food to another table and they were making our food again! Okay, sure, it happens! We finally get our food. My husband's wings & burger were decent, nothing crazy to write home about. The brussel sprouts were HORRIBLE! I love brussel sprouts but these were woodsy & gross! There were supposed to have "applewood bacon, caramelized shallots & diced green apples tossed with honey"! I never got one piece or taste of bacon or the apples!!! I had to pull several "stick" like pieces out of my mouth while eating these! I did not finish them and my husband even tried them and also agreed NOT GOOD! So disappointing! But this is what really chapped my hide.... I asked for a little bit of extra gravy for my poutine and after my husband paid the bill I said that seems extremely high for what we got.... I start looking at the itemized bill ( we had to ask for because when you pay they just bring a hand held machine and you pay, you don't even see the itemized bill first) and they had charged me $3 for e tea gravy and charged for my husbands blue cheese that came with his wings & had charged for another small item I can't remember right now!!!! In my eyes,........ since we had to wait DOUBLE THE TIME FOR OUR FOOD DUE TO A WAITERS ERROR why are you charging me for some extra gravy!?!? And not offering to just comp it to make up for the mistake!!!!! Literally that's all they would have had to do to make me happy!!!! It's called customer service!!!!! I do not recommend!!!
Jennifer W — Google review
I ordered the Lamb Burger — absolutely delicious, juicy, and full of flavor! 😋 The atmosphere was energetic and lively, which made the experience even better. 🔥 The prices are fair for the location and quality.😅 I highly recommend trying the fried pickles while you wait — they’re incredible! 🤩Everything was excellent.✌🏻👌🏻

The Spanish Military Hospital Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the medical practices of the late 18th century. Located on Aviles Street, the oldest street in the United States, this museum is a faithful reconstruction of a military hospital from 1791. Visitors can explore displays of antique surgical instruments and medical equipment while learning about authentic period surgical procedures and the creation of medicines by apothecaries.
Went with 4th grade field trip and had a great time learning about the history of the military hospital, apothecary, and surgical suite. Our tour guide did a good job engaging with the kids 👏
Cindi M — Google review
A great Museum that includes a tour. Learn how early Spanish medical professionals combined surgical skill with herbal remedies to care for patients in an era long before modern hospitals. It’s an educational and engaging journey through the evolution of medical science.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Nick the owner is hands on and involved in the operations. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Jose did our tour and he was entertaining and engaging with the audience especially the kiddos! Loved the outfit and atmosphere of the entire experience. I’d highly recommend you check this experience out. Definitely worth it. Fairly priced as well.

Really enjoyed this experience. I can’t think of our tour guide’s name for the life of me but she had dark hair and curly bangs and was super informative. I am now an expert on amputations and medicinal herbs lol. 10/10 recommend.

Day two of family fun summer vacation kicked off bright and early with breakfast and a boat ride. Following some typical Florida weather of scattered showers every few minutes, we ventured into the St. Augustine Hospital Museum. My family and I were welcomed by very personable individuals, and had a stellar tour guide, Katie. Katie is very knowledgeable of the hospital’s history, tools/instruments, and surgical procedures. As well as, Katie is great with children and making sure everyone is having a blast. She also informed us of many different surgical cases, as well as the medicine and operation of pharmacy. All in all, this tour is well worth it and there’s a cute garden and gift shop at the end. Much history, laughs, and all in all a great time. Thank you and much appreciation!

For anyone with an interest in the practice of medicine-or medical history in general- this tour is a can't miss stop. Our guide, Jose, was extremely knowledgeable and was eager to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly appreciated the depth of knowledge and sharing of information our tour guide gave her audience. Learned really interesting tidbits about additional eras, medical studies and philosophies - all while she kept a great “bedside manner.” Tour date September 13, 2025 at the 1:00 time-slot.

Very good food. Tasted like authentic Louisiana cuisine. The fried green tomatoes are a must. Gumbo and she crab soups were both great. Our server was kind of weird. Never got to try the banana crème brûlée though because the server simply gave us the bill instead of asking if we wanted desserts. We were like oh well. Outside tables were pretty, but inside tables were pretty depressing.

Wow. It’s been a long time since I’ve been wholly impressed by a restaurant. Every single thing about this place was amazing. Service, ambiance, food were all 10/10. There is not one complaint to be made. The hostess who sat us was so sweet and very accommodating to our large stroller for our son. Our server Daniel had what could only be best described as charisma, he was not over the top pushy yet was still completely attentive and subtly funny. It felt like we had an inside joke with him (over what I can’t tell you but it’s like we had our friend serving us). He checked in just enough that we didn’t feel neglected but also never felt over bothered. On top of that when we sat down it seemed the whole restaurant did as well. But the staff didn’t let us see them sweat. Honestly we were so shocked to see how cohesive they moved to get tables serviced. If you’re wondering no we have no personal connection. We are simply on a family road trip and we always stay in Saint Augustine. Can’t believe this is our first time here because pretty sure it’s the only restaurant we’re going to eat at when we visit.

Went to a soft opening in early September and the place is awesome! Food, service, and ambiance is all very good. Being on Lake Okahumpka is a plus as you can see sunsets & the occasional gator. Bar is very cool with about 50 seats with views of the TV’s! Check it out! There will be a wait so be patient as it is worth it!

Our recent visit to Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille for my man birthday was exceptional, starting with our incredible server, Melanie, who made the whole experience effortless and five-star worthy. We started strong with the appetizers: the rich, smoky gumbo and the fish dip - they were both amazing! For the main event, the Crab Crusted Redfish Royale was a truly luxurious indulgence. The delicate, flaky redfish was topped with a generous, savory crab crust that was absolute perfection. My partner’s Andouille Grouper was equally dynamic, featuring a beautifully prepared fillet with the robust, spicy kick of Andouille sausage. Harry's delivers expertly crafted seafood and true New Orleans flair. We'll be talking about this meal for months! Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars Recommended Dishes: Crab Crusted Redfish Royale, Andouille Grouper, Gumbo

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Fish tacos, history, and a balcony view worth every calorie!” If you go to Harry’s in St. Augustine, do yourself a favor — sit on the balcony! You get this postcard-perfect view of the waterfront and the Lions Bridge, right next to El Castillo de San Marcos. It’s like dinner and a history lesson with seasoning! Our server Jeremy from Indianapolis was awesome — he just moved to Florida and already delivering 5-star service. (Good luck out here, buddy, just wait till you meet Florida humidity 😅). We found this spot on TikTok, and for once, TikTok didn’t lie! The calamari was crispy, the fish tacos were 🔥, and yes… I ordered a hamburger at a seafood place. I know, I know — but don’t judge me, the burger was legit! 😂 Between the view, the food, and the vibe, I left full, happy, and slightly jealous of Jeremy’s new job location. 10/10 — would definitely go back (and maybe even try something that actually swims next time). 🐟🍔🌊

First time experience was exceptional! I had the shrimp and scallops orleans, everything was prepared well and fantastic, and my wife had the fried shrimp and grouper with red beans and rice and sweet corn grits. She enjoyed every bite! My meal included grits cakes, which I don't normally care for, and these were delicious! We had the butter pecan cheesecake for dessert, and I would have paid the cost of the meal for that cheesecake.

Harry's Seafood, Bar & Grille is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an enchanting atmosphere that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The food is nothing short of excellent—every dish is packed with flavor, and the seafood is a must-try. Whether you’re there for a date night, a family outing, or just a fun evening with friends, the lively and welcoming vibe makes it enjoyable for everyone. I truly fell in love with this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect mix of delicious food and a magical ambiance!

Father's Day and hello again, beloved St. Augustine! The restaurant is in an old two-story house, many separate rooms, there is a great party area, where in the evenings there is live music, an excellent view from the balcony of the bay. There are a lot of people, but the wait for a table took only 10 minutes and it's great! Prices for lunch and dinner are different. We ordered Grouper Fingers, fish in batter, arugula and sauces, delicious and they also brought hot bread with garlic butter, this is crazy taste, I need to cook it at home too. French Market pasta for me, be prepared that the portion is huge, shrimps, professionally cooked, chicken pieces, the pasta is delicious. Bourbon Street Salmon for my husband, broccoli was a little raw, but this is an acquired taste, I always eat them fresh, it is healthier, but my husband did not like it, mashed potatoes were delicious and most importantly salmon under a slightly spicy sauce was magnificent. Thanks to Eric for fast and unobtrusive service. Thanks to everyone who works in the kitchen. We will definitely recommend you to our friends and acquaintances.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum offers a unique historical adventure with its 1874 black-and-white striped lighthouse, museum, and shipyard playground. Visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark and discover centuries-old artifacts while immersing themselves in the stories of local fishermen and shipwrecked sailors. The museum also showcases over 300 years of St.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse is a pretty cool place to check out if you’re in the area. Admission is a little over $17 per adult, which is on the higher side, but it does give you access to the lighthouse, the museum, and the grounds. The lighthouse climb itself is 219 steps, but it’s really not too bad and the view at the top is beautiful, you get a great look at the coastal front and surrounding area. On a hot day, the museum is a big relief with air conditioning and has some interesting history and artifacts to browse through. The gift shop is also nice, with a big selection of souvenirs ranging from smaller keepsakes to more detailed items. Overall, it’s a neat experience if you want to see one of St. Augustine’s landmarks up close.

Cool place to check out if you’re in the area. The lighthouse was the main attraction of course and it has signs to let you know how far up and how much further you have left as you climbed it. Once you get to the top the views and breeze are nice. The stairs are very narrow so you have to stop and wait or let people go by sometimes. But it’s not a bad hike at all! The rest of the sites are self guided and in old buildings but are maintained. Most have AC which is where you found the most people with it being so hot. There’s plenty of information and artifacts in each part you entered. Unless you’re stopping to read everything, the tour goes by pretty quickly. I highly suggest bringing water with you if you’re going during the summer months.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum is an absolute must-visit. The property is full of rich history, and the view from the top of the lighthouse is truly breathtaking. While the climb does involve a lot of steps, it is well worth the effort. Beyond the lighthouse itself, there’s so much to explore—from learning how boats were built to seeing how recovered artifacts are carefully cleaned and preserved. This site offers a wonderful mix of history, hands-on learning, and stunning scenery. Definitely worth a stop when visiting St. Augustine.

My wife and I went to the special event at the top of the beautiful historic lighthouse. The event is held once a month to watch the sunset and the full Moon rise. We were rewarded with a beautiful sunset and the full moon rise over the ocean was awesome. Our experience was seriously diminished by the male volunteer that was supposed to be pouring champagne for all the guests but seemed totally focused in looking after two younger women whose glass were always full while we had to ask several times for a second half glass. The volunteer attitude changed a five star experience to barely a three stars. In future please have the volunteer treat all guests equally. At the opposite end we wish to commend Tammy as very pleasant and helpful with information about the lighthouse and in passing food around.
Patrick L — Google review
This is a beautiful place set back in some trees, not far from water. There's plenty of history to learn and over 200 steps to reach the top, which has some beautiful views of the area. This is a worthwhile place to explore. The staff are very friendly and eager to answer questions or help.

Wonderful place that is worth visiting if you are in Anastasia and Saint Augustine area. My kids and I had such a fun time climbing the stairs to reach the top of the Lighthouse, I was surprised how windy it can be! Just a great place to enjoy good time with the family and Learn a thing or two about how lighthouse used to work 150 years ago and how it works now. Highly recommended!

Lovely place to visit! Be prepared for the climb but once you get to the top, it is so worth it for the view. There was so many different buildings with a bunch of cool items and rich history. Would highly recommend making this one of your places to visit! The staff was also very welcoming and kind too!

Restaurant
Salt Life Food Shack is a trendy beach bar and restaurant with a surf-themed vibe, offering an eclectic seafood menu that includes sushi, tacos, and burgers. The establishment is part of a local chain originating in Jacksonville Beach and draws inspiration from the subculture of avid divers, surfers, and fishermen.
It was my first time visiting Saint Augustine Beach and Salt Life Food Shack. My experience was fantastic! There are right across the street from beach access. From the street you could hear the live music. They were busy but I didn't wait long to get my order. Which was very delicious. I got Steak Tacos and asked for side of pineapples (you have to try it together trust me you will love it) My bartender was Taylor, very professional and nice. She recommended me upside down pineapple cake with ice cream and I loved it. If you are in area looking for great place and reading reviews to figure out is this place good... yes, it's great! I will come back again when road leads me to Saint Augustine again. Enjoy!

Salt Life Food Shack on A1A was an absolutely amazing experience! Mariah, our waitress, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the whole establishment had such a great vibe. There’s just something special about enjoying great food with the ocean right there; it doesn’t get much better than this!

The food here was amazing! For appetizers , I ordered the calamari. It was delicious. Slightly crunch on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. For my main course I got the skirt steak. The steak was cooked perfectly. I ate a bit too slow so the last 3 pieces were fully cooked. The rice was actually the star of the show. I’m not of fan of rice at restaurants but THIS rice was flavorful. My friend ordered the fried grouper and added fried shrimp. The grouper could have been heavier on the seasoning but it was overall good. The shrimp was seasoned well and very tasty! I would come back and try something different and order the calamari again.

We drove by here a few times and decided to give them a try. The crab and spinach dip came out and was piping hot. It was good. But that was it. The wings were just “ok” to my husband nothing special. The salmon and veggies weren’t hot, lukewarm probably waiting on the wings. Not sure it was 9:15-9:30 close to closing but you’d still want your food warmer than lukewarm at a restaurant when you are 2 tables from The kitchen. Wasn’t crazy busy but a decent crowd there were 2/3 tables free at the bar area but there was live music. The hostess did suggest to move bc of the music so that was nice of her. Isabelle was nice.
Joselene F — Google review
The place is really cool if you are looking for a surf vibe. Server was great and friendly and we sat down right away even with a full house. Food was okay. They are definitely more worried about quantity over quality though. We got the calamari which could have been done longer and there wasn’t really any flavor on them unless you dipped them in the sauce (which was good). I got the salmon which was COVERED in the glaze I had to scrape some off. My husband got the tacos which he said was really good. Wouldn’t mind coming back if other places were busy but nothing to exciting here

This spot, conveniently located right across from the Embassy Suites, offered a nice change of pace. While the calamari was just alright (the batter struggled to stick), the accompanying sauce was excellent. What truly impressed me were the fresh and delicious grouper, shrimp, and scallops, which were also a good value. Coupled with the service from our sweet and friendly server, it made for a very pleasant experience overall.

First time dining here but certainly not our last! We sat on the patio and listened to the band - pleasantly, it wasn't too loud so we could still have a conversation. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. Our large party was served quickly and all agreed it was the best food the whole trip.

Oh YES! Found this place based on a recommendation from Tammy at the guide/ info booth and when I say I had to go back and personally thank Tammy, that's exactly what I did 😀. Ray helped us out and everything was topnotch. Lasagna and the Ribeye were ordered up and we were not disappointed one bit. For the cut of the ribeye, it was cooked a perfect medium, true to order, and the Lasagna was a chef's 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 💋 😘. Such a satisfying dinner with no disappointments 😋.

In town for one evening and wanted to pick just the right spot to enjoy a pleasant dinner. After walking around and feeling out the local vibes, I was greeted by the hostess as I walked down George St. I had a sample being provided and proceeded to request a table. Ultimately I was lead to the Chianti Room and took a seat outside. Weather was perfect and the evening was unfolding nicely. I was seated promptly and greeted by our server. With minimal wait our drinks and starters were brought out. I started with a soup which was amazing but the real winners were our main course. Fresh and vibrant the meals were exceptional. A true highlight of the evening and would highly recommend for those wanting a beautiful evening with courteous and accommodating staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Most people seemed to enjoy the food, which came in gigantic proportions. I liked the long garlic bread rolls served with a dipping sauce and the lemonade. It was strange that we had to ask for plates to use on the chargers already at the tables in order to have a place for the bread. I wish I had ordered the house salad instead of the Caesar salad, since I prefer a creamy Caesar dressing and do not like anchovies in an oily dressing. I ordered the lasagna recommended by the server. It seemed to feature sausage for the meat instead of what I expected. I could easily have shared the portion with 1 or 2 other people. Not sure how it will travel home. The server was exceedingly pleasant and took very good care of the 11 of us at our table throughout our visit.

Came here after touring the old jail and store and needed a beer and some AC in this Florida heat. So glad I was craving beer and pizza and found this place!! We shared the garage 10’ pizza. It was the perfect amount to share between my husband (who had 2 pieces) and me and my 11 year old who had 1 slice. Service was fairly quick.

They had a ton of options, the pizzas were more on the pricey side but they do NOT skimp on the amount of toppings. Plenty of cheese, dough was made well, all the flavor profiles you’re looking for are incorporated. Gluten free crust is an option as well.

Our server was Ocean, and he was such a great and attentive server! He was quick and prompt even with getting all of our three dogs their own bowls. He checked in with us in a timely manner and was very patient ( considering there were 6 adults, 3kids and 3 dogs). The foods was great too! (I never eat the crust of a pizza and I inhaled it! Plus their delicious soup of the day!) highly. Recommend this spot!

Nestled in St. Augustine, Taberna del Caballo is a charming 18th century-style Spanish and Latin eatery that offers a picturesque covered patio for a delightful dining experience. The cozy and intimate atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a romantic date night. My wife and I did our rehearsal dinner at the taberna and they were phenomenal. The food was sneaky good, I would definitely recommend the plantains, the beans, and most importantly the short rib. The bacon wrapped scallops rocked too! Autumn and her team took tremendous care of our whole group. I can’t say thank you enough.

The atmosphere was very pleasant. Our server was exceptional and very friendly. The drinks were so so...they looked pretty, but more mix than substance (alchohol). The food was very presentable but unremarkable. It could have use much more spice.

I wanted to love this place, really. But the food was terrible. Looks delicious 👌 and I expected great things...till I took my first bite. The avocado was rotten, the chicken was undercooked, and the rice had no flavor. My kids said their meal was too spicy, even the fries. My husband didn't even eat much, and that's rare, lol. WAY too much salt. The waitress forgot a lot of what we asked for too. Example: sour cream and tomatoes to go along with the meal, never showed up (even with being reminded). Honestly we barely ate and the waitress picked up on it but we were polite and respectfully paid and left.. considering this a lesson learned. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars (not 1) is because it was a really pretty environment to eat in, And we got to sit underneath a thunderstorm (outdoors) and stay dry.. so that was a unique experience. They're open Terrence seating does have clear plexiglass to cover it, so yes, that part was neat. And I will say they're guacamole appetizer was very good, but I would not recommend adding sour cream to it. It tasted foul. But when I asked for a plain chicken breast (no bun as I'm gluten-free), lettuce, tomato, avocado, and plain cheddar cheese, NO SAUCE..and I get spicy Cajun chicken, with lettuce and rotten avocado, no tomatoes...yeah. It was clear that my order wasn't taken down well. We didn't have much time before we had to go to another tour so I figured I'd give it a try. Didn't mind the seasoning actually, but what I did mind was the chicken not cooked all the way and the avocado inside was disgustingly rotten. Nope. Never again here. Maybe just for drinks next time under the rain 😉. They do have gluten-free options, they do not have vegan options, and for all the other food.. be prepared for a lot of salt. So stay clear for anyone whom may have a heart condition, or high blood pressure.

We have great service from Emma B, I started with that because she was so nice. The food we had was very good. Big portions too. The 3 appetizers were more than enough for the two of us.

So this place looked “lit” as the youngsters would say. So we decided to go in and were seated within 5 minutes. Took about ten minutes to get our drinks ordered and by that time we were ready to order our food. Anyway, the waiter seemed to be very distracted. Food took way to long for some what seemed to be microwaved rice and beans. The carne asada was good but it doesn’t take 45 minutes to cook that slab of meat.

St. Augustine ECO Tours provides a variety of guided excursions, including boating, kayaking, and sailing tours along the inland waters surrounding the historic city. Guests have the opportunity to explore Matanzas Bay, the Matanzas River, and nearby estuaries while learning about local wildlife from knowledgeable marine naturalists. The tours offer encounters with dolphins, birdwatching opportunities, and chances to observe other marine life such as tarpon and sea turtles.
What a great experience for my grandchildren, son and daughter-in law and myself. Captain Lilly was informative, entertaining and attentive! The boat was terrific and had a shade canopy. Loved the wildlife sightings—especially the dolphins. It was entertaining and educational. We hope to do it again next year.

I highly recommend St Augustine Eco Tours! Capt Lilly is a fantastic guide, answering all our questions. We saw pelicans and osprey diving for fish. Lots of bottle nose dolphin. And Capt Lilly educated us about the local marine and wildlife along with some history about St Augustine. Also the boat is a perfect size for a small group and can maneuver where larger boats don't have access.

I took the sunset cruise with my pup and it was a beautiful evening. The weather was actually iffy so I was the only person who signed up, but the cruise went out anyway - so really, I got a private cruise! The weather did hold up and the captain was incredibly knowledgeable about the area history and wildlife. We saw an amazing sunset and all in all it was a great pup friendly adventure. Highly recommend!

100/5 experience! My Wife and I recently visited St. Augustine and booked an excursion with Eco Tours. What a wonderful experience! Capt. Lilly was fantastic and you could feel her love for her craft, area, and environment throughout the entire trip. We were fortunate enough to catch a few Dolphins rounding up fish for lunch and a couple of Green Sea Turtles making a dive for deeper water! Couldn't tell who was more excited for the Dolphins...Capt. Lilly or her customers! Highly recommend this adventure on the waters around St. Augustine!

Great time watching the sunset from the water, loved that the boat was smaller so not overly crowded and provided more of a private experience, covered a lot of the river areas. Captain Lily made everyone feel comfy and the cruise was informative. Went as family with kids in tow.

This was wonderful! A great way to learn about St Augustine, our captain Kevin loves this city and shared so much history and fun facts, I can’t stop telling my friends and family about it. It was beautiful - and just simply great people here. We highly recommend this experience!

I have done a LOT of boat tours in my lifetime, and this was one of my favorites! This tour is focused on education and conservation, and Captain Kevin was phenomenal! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the city, as well as the local eco system. It is very clear that he is passionate about the preservation of this beautiful, rich ecosystem. We saw SO MANY dolphins, including lots of babies, which was such a treat. I live in Florida, so dolphins are not new to me, but the sheer number we saw last night was absolutely amazing! The company does small group tours, making it much more laid back and relaxing. Many of the other local tours are loud party boats, so being able to avoid the drunk crowds made it so much better. I will DEFINITELY do another tour with this company! HIGHLY recommend!
Diane L — Google review
We sailed with Captain Kevin last night- what a fantastic experience! Definitely book the sunset sail if possible- the view was amazing. Not only is he knowledgeable about every species you might see during your tour, he’s funny and an excellent Captain. My first time out on a small boat, and it was such a smooth ride. Bonus- we saw so many dolphins! Will definitely go again!

Sunset Grille is a local favorite with a relaxed beachy atmosphere, offering a variety of seafood and comfort dishes. The restaurant provides an ideal setting to savor delicious meals while enjoying the ocean view. Their chicken & waffles dish is perfect for a leisurely Saturday morning breakfast, topped with fresh honey syrup and served with a side of Ranch sauce. The Dang Datil Shrimp is also highly recommended, featuring locally sourced shrimp smothered in creamy Datil sauce.
This is a great local spot right off A1A that we have been eating at for years. The atmosphere is great for families and even has outdoor seating if you want to sit outside and take in the ocean air while dining. The good is always good and the kids menu had our non-seafood eating kids covered with cheeseburgers and chicken tenders. All the seafood dishes the adults got were great and the size of the shrimp and portion sizes of the fish were large with none of us walking out the door hungry. We got there around 445 PM on a Monday and by 530 PM there was a good wait so go early if you don't want to wait, otherwise grab a drink at the bar and relax outside in their waiting area out front.

This place was unreal! The cocktails were top notch, and every dish we tried was a hit. The crab fries were absolutely phenomenal, hands down the best I’ve ever had. The fish bites were so tender and light, paired perfectly with their fresh tartar sauce. The bang bang shrimp were super crispy and packed with flavor. Overall, the food was incredible from start to finish and I even left with a free T-shirt! I highly recommend this spot.

This is my 3rd visit and I usually live the food. Tonight I was disappointed with the greenbeans. It looked like the pulled old green beans out of the fridge and added fresh to make a serving. View of the water. Food was really delicious. Live music. We dined outside up on the balcony which was really nice you could see the boats coming in. The shrimp and grits were delicious and so was the seafood platter. The mahi mahi was top notch as well as the crab cake. We had a crab dip as a starter and that was so yummy. Drinks were really good too. Definitely worth a stop to relax and dine.

The bruschetta was good, not great. Our waitress was friendly and love the outdoor seating area. The crab and spinach dip was delicious. Couldn't rate 5 stars due to the bruschetta but a very nice place to go!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Loved the seafood and thought the interior was visually a treat, seeing these old, classic buildings is like stepping back in time. Take advantage of the free parking behind the restaurant, there were plenty of open spots.

Great location with a good amount of parking which is rare in Olde Towne. Nice outside seating area and two levels inside. The seafood is fresh and the crab cakes are homemade and good. The coconut shrimp are large and tasty.

Nope, not a fan! Y'all I just couldn't. I tried and I couldn't. I will say, the Calamari, on point, no problems there, and my drink, a Blackberry Coconut Mojito, yum 😋. However, when it came to my main dish, the Seafood Combo, my mouth was so upset with that plate and what the fork was trying to feed me, all I could do was sit in disbelief and shake my head NO. The only remotely halfway good thing on the plate was the collards. Everything else tasted like it was fighting to be the star of the show and just didn't pair well together AT ALL. Way too over seasoned and did not compliment the dish next to it in any way. I opted to swap out the mash for rice and the rice was in short, not to my liking by far. It was like they said, hey we just got this new seasoning, let's see how it works on the rice. Shocked is beyond words for what I was because this place was recommended by multiple locals. These locals need to visit our restaurants in the Tampa/Brandon area to see what REAL seafood is like. Good for drinks and appetizers but definitely not that Seafood Combo. Sorry y'all, this one is a NO GO!

We came here for our Anniversary. Our sever was pleasant, personable and offered suggestions on the menu. The food was good, and the key lime pie at the end (made locally) was delicious!

We’ve been to O C white’s every year for the past 5 years. We have loved it time and time again. The best seafood we’ve had in the area and the outdoor dining is top tier. I love the ambiance with the lights and the florals. Shrimp and grits is my go to, and I’m also gluten free. I’ve never had any trouble. Even the kids love it!

The Raintree Restaurant is a charming establishment that has been serving upscale Floribbean cuisine in an elegant Victorian setting for over 40 years. Located in a historic house, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its warm ambiance, complete with a fireplace and koi pond. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes, from local catch of the day to Asian-influenced specialties like Bang Bang shrimp and roast duck.
I have been dining here going back to the '90's. Raintree never disappoints. My family of 6 adults had Christmas holiday dinner in 2024. Each one of us were thrilled with our meal, and we all had different entrees. Fantastic. Great food and great service. Highly recommend.

Finally a beef Wellington that is on point! The service was phenomenal, the beef Wellington was so far the best I've had in the area. The warm wedge salad was mouthwatering The atmosphere was very peaceful and beautiful! Would highly suggest this place and I will be back to try the

We went here today for brunch, mainly because I saw a photo of a traditional eggs, Benedict and an eggs Benedict Arnold, sausage, patty, sausage gravy…. And while those were good, especially the sausage one., I am giving this five stars because of the schnitzel!!!! Go order the schnitzel !!! Now! I spent 15 years in the restaurant business and this is one of the best meals I’ve ever had! On top of that it’s affordable ! Cheers!

We had a lovely evening and the food was delicious. We stared with some old fashions. Began the meal with the salad and lobster & sweet pepper soup. Then moved on to the prime rib and halibut with lobster champagne butter sauce. We didn't have room for dessert but I saw some in passing other tables so it's definitely on my list for next time.

Been to Sunday brunch here a few times. Nice historic building. Prices are definitely a bit high for what you get, but that's the tourism tax. Duck Waffles are excellent. Their home fries are soft and mushy, I don't recommend them. Men's room is too run down for somewhere this pricey. Gratuity is added in here automatically, and our waitress did not disclose this which always rubs me the wrong way.

Oh gosh, everything about our dinner was so perfect.2 weeks ago,we had our anniversary dinner at a Whataburger, after a busy day ,that was about all that was open.we joked about it,but we knew we would eventually a ll do it right.and we sure did at Raintree!our server was superb, the meals and desserts were sublime, and the restaurant is beautiful and welcoming.

Raintree Restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere and friendly staff, creating an inviting setting for a meal in St. Augustine. However, our brunch experience was marred by significant service and food quality issues that overshadow its appeal. The ambiance is undeniably pleasant, with a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff, in general, exudes friendliness, but our server’s performance was a major letdown. Described as a “social butterfly,” she was flighty and frequently absent, leaving us waiting excessively for basic requests. It took 15 minutes to get a to-go box and another 10 for the check, despite requesting both simultaneously. We overheard her sharing her life story—apparently, she “grew up” in the restaurant—at another table, not even hers, which explains her tendency to mill about as if she lived there rather than worked there. This lack of focus left us neglected and frustrated. The food was equally disappointing, suggesting the kitchen was operating with its “C or D team” during brunch. The Beef Wellington, meant to be served rare (120°-125°F), arrived raw, purple, and room temperature—completely unappetizing. The eggs Benedict featured “poached” eggs that were clearly microwaved, not poached, resulting in an unmistakable texture. The burger had potential with a good grind, size, and bun, but lacked seasoning and was overcooked to a dry, gray mess instead of the requested medium (135°-140°F) with a hot-pink center. The home fries, likely air-fried in an unheated air fryer, were dry inside with a rubbery skin. The grits, however, were a bright spot, flavorful and well-prepared. We didn’t complain about the food, chalking it up to an off day and planning to return for dinner to try their reportedly wonderful dishes. We requested a box for the uneaten two-thirds of the raw Beef Wellington, intending to cook it properly at home. When the server finally returned with the check, we were shocked to see a 15% gratuity automatically added for our party of two. No signage indicated this was standard policy, which felt deceptive. I typically tip 20% even for poor service, but since the server preemptively awarded herself 15% for subpar performance, we left it at that. Ultimately, Raintree’s combination of inattentive service, poorly executed dishes, and the audacity of an automatic gratuity for a party of two left a sour taste. If this is their standard practice, it’s a sign of deeper issues—perhaps they should pay their staff better wages instead of relying on mandatory tips to compensate for lackluster service. Regrettably, Raintree is off our list of recommended dining spots in St. Augustine. We won’t be returning, and neither should you if you value attentive service and properly cooked food. Note: This review reflects a single brunch experience. Others may have different experiences, but based on ours, Raintree falls short of its reputation which brought us here that day.

The Reef is a classic oceanfront restaurant located in Northeast Florida, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, known for its seafood-focused menu with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant also offers options like beef, poultry, and pasta dishes. Whether you're enjoying Sunday brunch on the patio or having a romantic date night inside with panoramic views through large-scale windows, The Reef provides an intimate dining experience by the water.
I arrived to find every outdoor table occupied, which in lesser establishments would signal defeat. Not here. The hostess and the bartender kept a quiet watch, and the moment a seat opened by the ocean, I was escorted outside. Efficient, attentive, no theatrics, just competence. Service is where empires rise or fall. Jack, tending bar and my table, was equal parts craftsman and confidant. He pours a proper drink, speaks when conversation is welcome, and checks in with the regularity of a well-kept watch, never intrusive, always precise. The spinach artichoke appetizer was hot and honest, the baked grouper clean, delicate, and perfectly judged, the vanilla bourbon infused dessert a civilized indulgence that knows when to stop. Compliments to the chef, and to the person who keeps this place immaculate. It is very, very clean. Parking can be a skirmish during peak hours, understandable given the target. The Reef on the A1A earns the attention. I will return whenever I am in the area. Well worth it. Could not recommend it more. Management, big props to Jack.

Nice spot on A1A with a free parking lot and terrific ocean views. Reservations are encouraged. Deck and interior seating gives you great views of the Atlantic Ocean. The menu is good for somethings and not worth it for others. The fish sandwich was a bit small with it not filling the bun. Had a few bits with no fish. It was tasty though and the grits were excellent as well as the spinach artichoke dip.

I chose this spot for lunch mainly for its close-up ocean view, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the avocado egg on an English muffin, fried chicken with waffles, and fish and chips. The dishes were decent overall, though the batter-fried fish was a bit oily—likely due to the oil temperature. Service was friendly, and live music played throughout our meal, adding to the laid-back atmosphere. Overall, a pleasant experience with unbeatable views.

Beautiful, quiet and classy restaurant right on the beach. We had a beautiful view of the beach, perfect to watch the storm roll in. The service was top notch - very friendly, professional waiter, quick and provided excellent service. The food itself was all delicious. It's a much classier feel than the typical beach restaurants so it was a welcomed change during our recent beach trip. 10/10 recommend and will be marking it as a "must go again" for our next trip.

My wife and I chose this place because of the reviews and close proximity to our hotel a mile away. We also wanted seafood. We loved the location between the road and the ocean. We enjoyed the seacoast while we waited for our table. We were able to sit next to a window and watch a cruise ship pass by. My Samsung s25 Ultra got a great closeup with a 100x. We were served fresh hot bread with butter and it was very delicious. We ordered spinach artichoke dip which came out piping hot but also very delicious. Our entrees came out. My wife ordered the Caribbean Grill with mahi and shrimp. She said it only had 2 small shrimp and was unexpectedly spicy, which she was not pleased with. I had the fried shrimp with French fries and squash with zucchini slices. My meal was very good. What motivated me to give 4 stars was that our server, Mia, wasn't tending to us quickly enough nor did our desire for dessert get satisfied because she quickly provided the dessert menu but disappeared for an extraordinary long time. The other server working tables near us had a better work ethic than ours. I found it ironic that a restaurant of this caliber and higher prices would have menus with no pictures of the food. A picture is worth a thousand words and more people would order based on pictures. That's also true with the dessert menu. I had to go on Google reviews to find photos of food and desserts before making my decision. At least the restroom was clean and attractive. The sign next to the Hostess stand had "appetizers" misspelled.

Had a wonderful time at the Reef today for lunch. The views of the ocean from our table and outside of the property are spectacular. The service was excellent, and the food, most importantly, was great! The seafood chowder especially was outstanding!

My friend & I went to the Reef for a light snack around 3:00 pm on a Sunday. No waiting. We ate outside to take in the gorgeous ocean view & breeze. Our waiter, Jacey, was very nice & attentive. I had the Coconut Battered Jumbo Shrimp (pictured). My friend had the Lobster Bisque. Food & service great.

Have been wanting to try The Reef for a while but hadn’t had the time to make it out. I wish I could have a raving review but unfortunately I cannot. We came in on a Saturday night with reservations at 4:30 so that we could enjoy a drink and appetizer before we had entrees. We were sat immediately and asked if we were okay sitting next to a table with a dog (appreciate the hostess being aware). We sat at our table for 30 minutes without waters or any wait staff acknowledging us. At this point my husband went back up to the hostess stand and requested the server be sent to our table. We waited another 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I flagged down a waitress and requested our wait staff be sent to our table. Another 5 minutes later and the table next to us waitress noticed that we had not even been served water. When our waitress FINALLY arrived after 50 minutes of waiting all she said was that there was a miscommunication. Between the time that we were sat and our waitress showing up at our table 5 other tables had been sat, had their beverages and bread served, and had either ordered their entree or had their entree on the table. At this point we were hungry and ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer (told dairy free). The complimentary bread and alcoholic beverage came out followed by the appetizer. We ordered the shrimp and lobster risotto (not dairy free) and the Honey Dijon Basted Atlantic Salmon (told dairy free) entrees. Coconut shrimp were large. All the food was just okay and not worth the price. Unfortunately the food that was supposed to be dairy free was either cross contaminated or had dairy because we did not have a good next 2 days. No manager stopped by to check on us after the “miscommunication” nor did the waitress offer any type of discount/complimentary meal.

Kingfish Grill On the Water is a laid-back seafood restaurant located in Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor. The restaurant offers a cheerful dining room, dockside patio, and banquet space. It's known for its wide variety of fresh local fish including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Tarpon, and many more. The owner's passion for seafood from coastal New England has contributed to the restaurant's vibrant island atmosphere and diverse menu options.
This restaurant used to be located near Vilano in Saint Augustine. They moved to the cobblestone area into the location where one of my favorite restaurants used to be. The building looks brand new. They extended the building out into the porch, so there is more seating inside and air conditioned. The new tile for is stunning. It’s very open and well done. I sat at the bar because I was by myself and they had the TV closing back-and-forth with the NFL games (Go Bills!!) Justin was great as a bartender and server. I ordered the black and mahi sandwich, which was very tasty! Apparently everybody that’s going is ordering Sauvignon Blanc because they were out. I pivoted and had a Pinot Grigio, which is lovely. The owner was at the bar and greeted me and was very nice. Overall, it was a really great experience and I will definitely be back.

I was impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered “The Shrimp Plater” with fries and coleslaw. (12) very good decent size shrimp. They were lightly breaded and cooked to perfection!. The side of fries were very well done and crispy. And the coleslaw hat, just the right amount of sauce. The place is a bit pricey $$$… although the food is very good. My server was excellent, she was very attentive and gave good suggestions as well as positive comments regarding the quality of the food served at this restaurant. I would definitely recommend others to come and eat at this place.

We went out to try this place on opening night - the food was delivered fairly quick- we tried the spinach artichoke dip (it was okay - the bread chips were tasty but had to ask for more to finish the dip) ; my wife tried the chicken picato with mashed potatoes & broccoli- although we had to ask the waitress for the potatoes because her meal came out with rice instead and I ordered the horseradish Mahi with rice & broccoli - none of the food had a wow factor that could justify the price - however the service was outstanding- she even helped us get a better discount- not sure we will be back

Okay but can we talk about how stunning the new Kingfish Grill location is?! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so coastal and classy. And our server, Candace, was an absolute gem. She was so warm, attentive, and just had that perfect mix of professional and friendly that makes you feel instantly at home. She made GREAT recommendations, kept everything flowing perfectly, our glasses were never empty and honestly made the whole experience next-level amazing. Between the gorgeous new space, incredible food, and flawless service — this visit was a 10/10. If you haven’t been to the new Kingfish Grill yet, go and ask for Candace!

Tried the new location and we were so impressed! The space is beautifully redone stylish, clean, and welcoming. We ordered the mahi sandwich, crab cakes, and the Thai peanut salad with mahi (request with sauce on the side), and everything was delicious. Loved our stay at Oceanview Cottage! Great location! Amazing views! Cottage is cozy, clean, & comfortable-especially the beds! The soft, sandy beach was quiet & uncrowded. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had!!!

My husband and I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Bayfront Marin House, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of amazing. We split our time between the Lookout Suite on the beach and the Jose Simeon room in downtown St. Augustine, and both experiences were unforgettable. The Lookout Suite was truly special — direct beach access, a private deck perfect for watching the sunrise, and the relaxing sound of the waves just steps away. Then, downtown, the Jose Sanchez room made us feel like we had stepped into a little castle. The historic charm, beautiful decor, and prime location were just stunning. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff’s attention to detail and warmth made us feel so cared for throughout our stay. And the breakfast? Incredible! No matter whether you’re at the beach house or downtown, breakfast is delivered right to your room — fresh, delicious, and such a treat to start the day. Bayfront Marin House is the perfect blend of luxury, history, and thoughtful hospitality. We’re already planning our return trip — I can’t wait to go back!

This is a great location right on the ocean. Walk out of the house, down the wooden path and on to the beach. Unit #92-Atlantic Suite has everything you need if you want to stay on site (kitchen, dining room, living room, washer/dryer, etc.). The porch swing is awesome for chilling out while the ocean breeze washes over you. If you’re a walker/runner, it’s an enjoyable trek into town over the bridge. We will be back, and I highly recommend staying here if St. Augustine is on your list.

The Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse is a fascinating piece of history that offers a unique insight into the roots of education in the United States. Stepping inside this historical institution feels like a journey through time, with well-preserved artifacts and quaint classrooms showcasing the evolution of teaching. The school is set up exactly as it was for its last graduating class, providing an authentic experience for visitors. Leashed dogs are welcome at this attraction, making it accessible to all travelers exploring St. Augustine's rich heritage.
Visiting the Old School House was such an amazing experience! It was fascinating to see how children used to learn and what schools looked like in the past. The building itself is so old and full of history—it really feels like stepping back in time. Walking through the garden and exploring how everything was set up gave us a glimpse into life from another era. The care and effort that went into preserving this historical site is truly admirable. Whoever is responsible for maintaining it has done an incredible job. I highly recommend visiting, especially with kids—it’s both educational and fun. Such a beautiful and unique place to explore!

I didn’t expect to see such an old school building in this area. I was truly surprised that it’s still standing, especially since it’s made of wood. It’s amazing how well it has been preserved over the years. The structure carries a lot of history and character, and it really stands out against the more modern surroundings. It’s a rare and charming reminder of the past.

Walkin Tours Ghost Tour – Midnight Chills and Thrills Purchased this self-guided ghost tour on Eventbrite for just $7—definitely worth it. The app allows access on two devices, which made it super convenient for our family setup: my wife had it on her phone, and I paired one earbud with my son so we could enjoy it together. The tour itself took about an hour and was a perfect way to stretch our legs while passing through the city at midnight. St. Augustine's eerie charm really comes alive in the quiet hours, and the app’s narration added the perfect spooky touch without going over the top. Whether you're a skeptic or a thrill-seeker, this tour is a fun, budget-friendly way to explore some haunted history at your own pace. Would totally recommend it for night owls wanting a unique experience.

It doesn't take very long at all to visit this place. Not a whole lot to see but I like to see what an old schoolhouse looks like. There's a robot presentation where the teacher and a dunce cap-wearing student explain what education was like back then. There's also an outhouse, which provides for some funny photos. At the end of your visit, you get a diploma.

Fun, quirky, and educational. This is the oldest wooden school house in Florida. I was impressed that it was still original. The automaton teacher and dunce kid were hilarious.

Pretty cool window into the school system of the past. Yeah, I'd be the mannequin with the dunce cap no doubt. They've got an amusing animatronic setup with a teacher and some students that bring an informative presentation about the old days of school in St. Augustine, and a nice courtyard you can explore with statues and an old outhouse as well (non functional of course.)

We liked it, we visited it on Monday, and the welcome was very nice, when you get to the main building you push a button to have an explanation about how the school and the students were in those days! It has a nice garden and you can learn, walk around and relax, recommended!

Mojo Old City BBQ is a laid-back spot where various meats are treated to classic BBQ flavors, all while blues music sets the mood. St. Augustine is known for being pet-friendly, offering numerous activities and dining options for visitors with furry companions. With an array of pet-friendly activities, restaurants, and tourist attractions, St. Augustine stands out as a top choice for those seeking a pet-welcoming destination in Florida.
This place was recommended to me and I thought I'd try it last minute. The food was really good and came out fast The burnt end appetizer was some of the best I've ever had. My wife had the Mojo Club minus the Mojo sauce and she liked it a lot I had the three meat dinner with turkey, hot links, and ribs. The turkey was smoked nicely and had a great flavor. The hot links were different than any I've ever had, which was a nice change. They were more like spicy brats, so I'd say they were better than most. The ribs were better than average, but could use a little more seasoning. Ribs and BBQ in general are subject to individual tastes, so some would probably say they were better than most places. I would agree. The mac and cheese was creamy and had a good flavor. The smoked yellow corn had a great flavor and was fresh. The only real improvement that could be made was the baked pit beans as they were kind of plain and not cooked long enough. Overall, I liked this place a lot and would return if I'm in the area again.

We went here by a suggestion. Well worth it. Burnt Ends were absolutely out of this world. The mashed sweet potatoes were excellent. The Mac and cheese were superb and the collards were delicious. What a wonderful place. Staff were polite and the atmosphere was great. Outdoor seating. Plenty of indoor seating. Nice bar with a lot to choose from. I would suggest going and we will for sure to go back.

We could smell the smoky flavor from outside and just knew we had to come here. Double checked the reviews and everyone is claiming this place is the best, and the are right. The vibes in here a cool, just your average barbecue place. The real kicker is the food! We got the ribs and the brisket and the waitress said it will be out quick. She wasn’t lying, less than 5 minutes later they came out with everything. The meat was absolutely amazing and even the sides were 10/10. They give you a range of about 5 sauces to try and all of them are great. Highly, highly recommend this place if you like anything barbecue. We will definitely be back to this delicious spot in St. Augustine.

Chicken nachos was good but came out cold. Bang bang shrimp were good. Brunswick stew was was good, the corn bread was ok. Pulled pork quesadilla was amazing. Chicken sandwich was good and fries were good. MOJO reuben was a good sandwich. Onion ring appetizer were really good.

Down home and friendly atmosphere. Kate , our server, was amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a lot of appetizers and the vege plate. We had to take over half home due to the generous portions. I fully recommend coming in for a grear lunch or dinner..or apps and drinks.

First time In st. Augustine. Glad I came here on my first day. The place has great atmosphere and the service was excellent. Super friendly and willing to puree my special needs son’s food. That’s always appreciated since it’s hard to find places that are accommodating for those who need it. The food was delicious. I had the catfish and wow!!! Will recommend this place 💯 times if you’re in the area. Also the black pearl drink is delicious. Prepare to feel tipsy and refreshed all at the same time.

I am NOT a BBQ fan but went to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Johns County at a fundraiser for kids sake. I had personal friends competing against each other to see who could raise the most tips! My husband and I joined the fun and had a great dinner at the same time. I was able to find a vegetable plate which each vegetable was so good. It came out so hot that I even burned my tongue with the first bite. My husband had ribs, as is common, he said they were amazing. After socializing for a little bit & giving others a chance to utilize our table instead of us staying and just occupying the table, we made a donation on top of our dinner and went on our way. It was a fun night of friendship, competition, love, and laughter for such a great cause. I do have to tell the "waiter staff" that they should keep their jobs, tho!

Nestled in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, Florida, Old City House Inn & Restaurant is a charming Spanish inn dating back to 1873. The historic building offers cozy accommodations and a romantic atmosphere for visitors from out of town.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Exceptional Stay at Old City House Inn & Restaurant – A True Gem in St. Augustine! We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Old City House Inn & Restaurant during our recent trip to St. Augustine. From the moment we arrived late at night, the hospitality was top-notch. We called the number listed, and Mr. Juan answered promptly, greeting us within minutes and personally showing us to our room. It set such a warm and welcoming tone right away! The room itself was beautiful – charmingly decorated with thoughtful details, and the temperature was perfectly comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day of travel. We slept like babies! The next morning, we were treated to an awesome breakfast that exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, but what really stood out was the service from the staff – it was above and beyond, with everyone going out of their way to make us feel special and attended to. This place blows away any recognizable chain hotel we’ve stayed at; it’s got that personal touch and genuine care that’s so rare these days. If we ever return to St. Augustine (and we hope to soon!), the Old City House Inn & Restaurant is our go-to spot – no need to search for anything else. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a cozy, memorable stay with five-star service all around!

We had such a wonderful evening at the old city House restaurant. We were celebrating our anniversary on a Sunday evening and it was quiet, intimate, and the food was amazing! We started off with martinis and escargot, so freaking delicious, we were licking the plate! Then we had a salad with roasted garlic dressing, followed by crabcakes, and my husband had the pork chop. Everything was on point, perfectly cooked and so savory and delicious. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, the dessert was on the house and we chose the coconut cake! Perfect choice for us. It was a perfect ending to a delicious dinner. Our server Esteban was attentive and knowledgeable and made the evening a success. We will definitely be returning here when we come back to Saint Augustine. Absolutely love this place!

My husband and I booked a last minute 2 night vacation at this establishment. The location is perfect! Walking distance to many places. The room is obviously older but was clean, comfortable and had a nice size deck outside. The complimentary sit down breakfast was awesome !! Belgium waffles with fruit, eggs bacon, sausage, potatoes, coffee and juice options. During our stay, personal contact with the staff was limited, but the interactions we did have, they were professional and helpful. Very easy check in and check out....also, they are pet friendly!

Iv seen old city house for years now and finally decided to give it a try. Went for date night. Romantic and charming atmosphere , beautiful landscaping and nice lighting. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming… Macknay our server was attentive and really nice... It was hard to pick because everything sounded so good !! We ordered the lamb chops, DELICIOUS. You can tell the kitchen and the staff at this restaurant really care and take pride in their work. Wine was spectacular too. Don’t sleep on old city house, looking forward to my next visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Old City House Inn & Restaurant. From the warm hospitality to the outstanding food and attentive service, everything exceeded our expectations. First timers here. We came in for dinner this past Saturday night and everything was fantastic!! The waiter was nice, funny, and attentive. I told him what i like and dont like with wines and he made the perfect choice. The crab soup was delicious, and my husband ended up eating almost half of it, wishing that he had gotten his own, but we had dinner on the way. The tuna appetizer was delicious, but I do wish that there had been a little bit more tuna. My husbands steak was perfectly cooked. I was hesitant to try the lamb. I used to love lamb up north, but for the last eight years in Florida every place I’ve had it really turned me off to lamb. Our server told me the reason why this probably is (i don’t remember the reason) but I’m so glad that I ordered the lamb because it’s just like it was up north!! It wasn’t super gamey and it didn’t have any odd flavor to it. It was perfect on taste, portion, and cooked perfectly. We were both too stuffed to have dessert, but I will definitely need to come back for it another time! See you again soon!

I ordered the snow crab legs, Mediterranean pasta, and two cocktails—one with strawberry and one with coffee. The snow crab was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. I also highly recommend the two cocktails I had—they were both amazing in their own way. The view was beautiful and peaceful, and the live music performance made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

Beaches At Vilano offers an unbeatable combination of flavorful food, relaxed beachside atmosphere, and friendly service, making it a must-visit spot for anyone traveling to St. Augustine or Vilano Beach. Let’s start with the fried gator. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—this dish is everything a good gator bite should be. The breading was golden brown with just the right amount of seasoning, complementing the slightly firm yet juicy texture of the meat. Served with a tangy dipping sauce that enhanced its rich flavor, each bite was mouthwatering and packed with Southern charm. Next up, the Bacon Cheddar Burger. A masterpiece of comfort food, this burger was cooked to perfection, with a juicy beef patty topped with thick, crispy bacon and melted cheddar. The balance between the smoky bacon and the sharp cheddar made every bite irresistible. The bun was soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without becoming soggy—a true mark of a well-crafted burger. And let’s not forget the fries! Golden, crisp, and delightfully seasoned, they were the perfect sidekick to an already fantastic meal. Each fry had the right amount of crunch, with a fluffy interior that made them incredibly satisfying. Whether dipped in ketchup or enjoyed on their own, they were the ideal finishing touch. With its fresh seafood, hearty classics, and unbeatable waterfront view, Beaches At Vilano is an experience in itself. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot delivers in every way, making it easy to see why you’d highly recommend it. Sounds like a meal worth revisiting!

Amazing food. Exceptional service. Our waitress, Jessica was awesome. Very attentive. We had snow crab legs, 3 sets!, fried plantains, conch fritters, fries alligator, and the Thai chili scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious.

Good place to catch a quick tasty bite. It was raining so outdoor seating was a bust. Waiter was kind and did her best to check in despite it being a busy day. Crab cakes were not as crispy but very flavorful! Painkiller drink 10/10

I appreciate they have gluten free options, but it would be even better if they offered a gf menu with the options listed out rather than relying on staff who don’t seem to confidently know. The gluten free wrap they offer isn’t bad, but the fresh catch sandwich was dry and lacking something which I believe was tartar sauce. Altogether, the food didn’t blow me away. The ambience is very nice.

Busy day - 4th of July. Fried food was barely warm, and took a while after we were sat to get a server, finally flagged one down. She very gracious and took great care of us. But overall, we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sunset.

Although there was a little wait (to be expected with how busy it was) it was well worth it because the food was spectacular. The nachos were the best we’ve ever had and the shrimp and grits still make my mouth water. This will be a regular stop for us when we are back in Vilano!

Beachcomber St. Augustine is a casual waterfront cafe located just steps from the beach on Anastasia Island. It offers a relaxed beach atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options, including duneside picnic tables. The menu features a variety of dishes such as street tacos, sandwiches, burgers, wings, and fresh local seafood, along with a selection of cocktails and craft beer. Families and visitors can enjoy the local feel while kids play in the sand and adults relax with the sea breeze.
Loved everything about Beachcomber! We arrived at 11:30 on a Thursday. With limited parking it was nice to have someone from the restaurant assisting with getting us into a spot. Our seating outside in the shade was great, our server was excellent and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the new Coconut crusted fish tacos with a side of their original potato salad along with a specialty cocktail. My husband had the fish Reuben with their fries and a beer which he enjoyed. Excellent experience and we would definitely go back if ever in the area.

This place is great because it's right on the beach but beware: parking is very limited! Unless you want to pay and drive onto the beach and walk to this place, try to get there early or not during peak hours. Their drinks are really good, however their wings were pretty soggy. I do love being able to sit at the tables and put your feet in the sand while you're dining. Inside is pretty small so if you need A/C and don't want to sit outside you may be waiting a bit. Overall this is a good place to come and relax, have a drink, and munch.

After our first time here, we became big fans! Parking is a bit tough, but use the public lots a short walk away. Sit at the bar or outside on patio. Loved the shrunken heads coconuts. Frankie was a great bartender! Get the ruby, red peel, and eat shrimp! They were delicious and perfectly cooked! Happy hour Monday to Friday 3-6p (food and drink options)

In the words of Michelin: “personality and talent of the chef are evident in their expertly crafted dishes”. Beachcomber is everything you could dream of and more. Even my mom, who doesn’t care for seafood, found something on the menu she loved. We recommend the blackened chicken nachos and shrimp tacos! For those who can’t finish the plate, I can confirm that leftovers are just as good. Sit outside for the best views. When we arrived around 6 pm, a friendly gentleman was seated in the parking lot to help us fit into the (admittedly) small spaces, which there are not many of. It takes a bit of effort getting in/out but please keep in mind they are doing their best with what they have!

Friday night at 6pm, pretty busy as expected. Parking is tight! We had a group of 6 (2 small kids) and waited about 30 minutes - we watched as a group of friends of one of the employees was seated ahead of us (not cool). Drinks and beer were good, prices were average but still high. Spent about $200 total, mostly happy with food (french fries on 2 of the plates were very cold), Bahamian fish was good, shrimp and grits very good, ravioli was good, lamb gyros is a thumbs down 👎🏻, overcooked and dry. Skip the gyros. Busy location at the beach, they stay pretty packed. Atmosphere is nice. Overall, I'd give them another try.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Beachcomber in Saint Augustine is a total gem! The calamari was hands-down the best we’ve had — perfectly tender and flavorful. Drinks were spot on too — refreshing and made just right. The location is absolutely amazing, tucked right behind a beach dune and direct beach access. We loved being able to walk along the beach while waiting for our table — they text you when it’s ready, which is such a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Great beachside restaurant with the old school Florida vibe. The grilled swordfish and fried fish and 🦐 shrimp was excellent. I recommend this place if you are ever in the area
Joe M — Google review
Overall great place. Parking’s hit or miss. Can be tough to get to since A Street is a main beach access road. Great vibe. Service was ok, fairly attentive. Asked for napkins, never got them, kind of annoying. Cadence to check on drinks was good. Good beer selection. Gyro was unique, the cojita cheese was a nice touch. Cucumber dill potatoes salad was good but couldn’t really taste any cucumber. Fries on kid’s platter could have been crispier. Kids Hamburger was about as plain as you get, not even pickles. Smoked fish dip sounded likes great option and looked delicious when it was delivered, unfortunately it fell flat. Main issue was it didn’t have alot of flavor and it was really really dry. Needs some kind of sauce to meld things together and some more seasoning. Otherwise solid place with a great beach vibe.

The Colonial Quarter in St. Augustine, Florida is a two-acre living history attraction that offers visitors an immersive experience of the city's 300-year-old port history. The re-creation of a colonial Spanish village features costumed craftsmen demonstrating old-world skills, musket drills, and a 35-foot watchtower for lookout. Visitors can take a Historic Adventure Tour with a costumed guide to explore the different historical periods of St.
Climb the watch tower for a great view of town then hope Cooper leads your tour. Cooper can perform pirate shanties on concertina (vintage accordion), blacksmith among flames and hot coals, even set off a cannon, while making all ages chuckle at his jokes. The price was worth the history lesson from Spanish to Colonial times. Walking by, I always thought the complex was larger, but the signage was informative. The ship was a nice surprise. There was one interactive video exhibit, and some pulleys with blocks for children to try their strength.
M. D — Google review
I am sure I can not be the only one that enjoyed Coopers presentation of this experience! He was hilarious and extreamly engaging! We were not sure what we would do while in the area and I’m so glad we choose this. You def want to do this with a tour which are done a certain times but well worth the planning. My 9yr old loved it and was answering and asking all the questions he could think of.

Nestled within the ancient cobblestone streets of America's oldest city lies a treasure I stumbled upon with my family last summer—the Colonial Quarter of St. Augustine. What a revelation it was! June 30th, 2023 marked our first visit, though certainly not our last. The Quarter doesn't merely display history; it breathes life into it. Blacksmiths hammer red-hot metal into submission while musket fire cracks through the air unexpectedly—startling my daughter into fits of delighted squeals! Time bends here. One moment you're wandering through a 16th-century Spanish garrison, the next you're examining British military tactics that once dominated these very grounds. We devoured authentic colonial-inspired cuisine that burst with flavors forgotten by modern palates. Heavenly! The maritime exhibits particularly captivated my husband, who lost himself for nearly an hour examining shipbuilding techniques. St. Augustine has captured my heart so completely that I dream of making it my forever home. The Colonial Quarter stands as testament to why—it's where education becomes adventure, where history isn't just remembered but experienced viscerally through all five senses. You'll leave changed, carrying pieces of centuries past within you, already planning your return before you've even departed. Trust me, this living museum deserves every accolade it receives—and then some!

Colonial Quarter is one of the best live music venues in downtown St. Augustine. The atmosphere is unbeatable—right in the heart of the historic district with a unique open-air setting that makes every show feel special. The sound quality was excellent, and the stage setup allowed for great views no matter where you were standing. The venue has a fun, lively vibe but still feels relaxed, making it a perfect place to enjoy music with friends. Being surrounded by history while watching talented performers created a one-of-a-kind experience. If you’re looking for a great night out in St. Augustine, Colonial Quarter should be at the top of your list.

Always love being a tourist in our own city! We came back in January and had an amazing time! From roaming the property to the informative tour from the actor. The live canon demonstration was awesome! The view of the fort from the tower is amazing as well. Highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the history!
Andy — Google review
Our tour guide was super friendly and wonderful, however we were very disappointed to see that most of the experience appeared to be under renovation. There were people working everywhere, packing the ground down and doing construction. The ship you are supposed to see wasnt there, there were vehicles parked and benches randomly in the courtyard where it was supposed to be. Benches were stacked everywhere, and not even properly spaced and set up for the tour stops. People were working everywhere, not in colonial clothing. The house wasnt set up or historically accurate (hand sanitizer machine in one of the rooms, furniture scattered..). The actual tour also seemed to be lacking the demonstrations i thought we would see- we got shown a few pieces of leather, played some music, got a very very basic blacksmith demonstration (where some of the equipment was broken, so not functioning properly). Overall, not worth the price.

Casa Maya is a charming restaurant housed in a cozy building, offering elevated Latin cuisine served indoors or on its inviting patio and terrace. The establishment prides itself on crafting all dishes from scratch, including their flavorful sauces and marinades. Guests can savor unique cocktails like the refreshing cucumber jalapeno margarita while indulging in daily specials such as pork and chicken tamales or fresh local cobia paired with tequila-marinated shrimp, mango corn salsa, and chipotle sauce.
The service was great! I was able to sit with my dog, which I really appreciated. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday, and the staff was sweet and accommodating. All the food was delicious, but I especially loved my dish—the Chipotle Maya (I believe that’s what it was called) with chicken and shrimp. It had the perfect amount of spicy sauce and amazing flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in St. Augustine!

Wanted to find a place for lunch with a nice atmosphere and good Mexican food. I stumbled upon this place on my walk touring the town. I heard some music and walked in to a fun and beautiful place with lots of outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and a young girl greeted me right away and eventually a guy named Christian came and took over. They were very friendly and she recommended I get the pork carnita. My first bite of the pork took me back to only one other place of when I had something similar. It was so delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great place to have lunch or just hang out and have a cocktail while listening to some live tunes.

Call to check the hours before going because they have new hours and google is incorrect. We had guac and chips. They service you whole friend tortillas and charge you for extras. We also had the fajitas with steak and chicken. They don’t keep the meats separate nor do you get cheese. Our server Enrique was very attentive! I had filled out the online form for a reservation and never got a confirmation however we decided to just go there and there was plenty empty tables so it didn’t make sense why we didn’t get a confirmation. The band outside was pretty good but it was loud.

First time to Casa Maya. The service was great and I always travel with my dog. My only reason for giving the food 3 stars is. I ordered ribeye tacos. I received Skirt steak tacos. When I asked about it I was told no those are ribeye tacos. I've been a steak carnivore for 46 yrs. I know my cuts of meat. To try and talk me into thinking it was anything other than skirt steak was insulting. Now that being said our meals were very tasty. But deception like this will lose you customers. I always try a place twice. Everyone has a bad day. Hopefully next time I get what I order.

It was so good, I had to make room in my suitcase to bring two crowlers back home with me.

Great selection of beers. The price for the flight was well worth the 6 six samples. Stella was on top of everything while we were there. We tried the Kolsch, Puddle Jumper, Hopper 2.0, Consistent #13, Kookaburra, and Sabotaged; everything was delicious.

Stopped in to check this place out, very cool chill spot. Lucien is such a good beer. Plenty of options and an awesome taco place connected to them. Well worth the stop.

Great little brewery right between downtown St. Augustine and the southern beaches. Lots of different styles and they offer flights so you can try them all. They have both a front and rear patio and plenty of inside seating. For food, there is also a very popular Taco joint right next door. Easy biking distance from downtown over the Bridge of Lions or short rideshare (though they are not easy to get in St. A, so you may end up walking home). Great service and friendly staff. The place was clean and well maintained during our visit. They also have a "pay it forward" board to buy drinks for others like: "From a veteran to a veteran". Very cool. Definitely worth a visit.

Great beers and great service. Nice to be able to have some craft beers with the tacos from Ospreys!

Awesome find in the land of tourists!!!! St. Augustine is filled with tourist traps and historical areas … but also home to a really good brewery. Old Coast Ales is right in the middle of everything. It stands out because of the beer and friendly atmosphere. Good selection of beers with a near perfect Imperial IPA. Solid full bodied flavor with a nice 8.8% pop. Really good atmosphere and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth the visit when you’re overwhelmed by tacky tourists. Good Beer.

Absolutely fantastic beer! We are hazy IPA fans and there were several options that met our taste, but also a wide variety of alternatives. The spot itself is super cool, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (dogs allowed!). The staff will also let you bring your beer next door to the taco spot if you get hungry. Great merch too!

If you're in the area and craving some quality craft beer, Ancient City Brewing Taproom is the perfect place for you. With an down-to-earth tasting room offering pints and beer flights of its own brand of craft brews, this location is perfect for locals and tourists alike who are looking for a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Personal favorite among their lineup is Castillo Coconut Porter, which combines all the flavors of pumpkin season into one delicious glass.
We had a great experience. The beer was good and so was the service. The bartender was friendly and she answered all of the questions that we had about the different beers on tap. We will stop again on our next visit to St. Augustine.

Dive-bar-vibe brewery, right on the Plaza de la Constitucion in historic St Augustine. Decent selection of brews and great staff. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the historic district or on your brew hop in St Aug!

While strolling through the vibrant Downtown of St. Augustine, especially on a sunny day with temperatures on the higher side, the craving for a refreshing drink led me to the Ancient City Brewing Taproom. Without hesitation, I made the spontaneous decision to indulge in a beer from Ancient City Brewing. Renowned for its diverse selection of beers, Ancient City Brewing Taproom offers a delightful space to savor a cold brew. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by Brianne. Together, we navigated the enticing beer menu, ultimately settling on the Golden Ale Beer. The moment I took my first sip of the Golden Ale Beer, drawn fresh from the tap, I was greeted by its crisp and chilled perfection--a welcomed respite from the warmth outside. The taste was truly exceptional, and I found myself thoroughly enjoying the golden ale. It was an experience that elevated my day in the charming setting of St. Augustine.

A cool brewery in Downton St Augustine. We stopped in for a drink while wandering the city. It's a nice tap room with a lot of space. You can definitely pack a lot of people in. There are just a few tables but they don't have food anyway. The staff are nice enough. Nice selection of beers, amber, porter, red, IPA, lager. Nice spread. They were out of the 2 I was most interested in which is shame but it happens. Also while the IBU's were fairly low on most beers they all had a harsh hop bite on the finish. If you're into IPAs you'll probably like everything here. If not then everything other than the porter is probably going to turn you off. Not a bad place to drink to in St Augustine.

Cool little bar/brewery right in the mix of it in St Augustine. Right on King!! Good selection of flavors. Matanzas River Red was my choice. And it did not disappoint. The trick is to get lucky with parking!!! Mixed crowd and all seemed to be having fun. Pretty relaxing atmosphere. Dog friendly too.

Good beer and a decent selection. It has more of a standard bar feel than a brewery but a cool spot. They even have art on the walls for sale.
Kris N — Google review
Absolutely prime location. That saves the place from becoming a mediocre tappery. Beer is ... average. Selection is ... average. Everything is just ... average. If the objective is to clench the thirst on a hot Augustine's day - Ancient City might be an option. We did it on a couple of the occasions. To the owner's response: "If there's anything we can do to improve your next visit please let us know" - yes, please, review your beer selection and, if unsatisfied, initiate an improvement.

Very friendly staff. Rooms, exceptionally clean. The bed very comfortable. Small balcony to sit and enjoy the beach. Small kitchen and complimentary coffee in room and in dining nook. Complementary breakfast is pre ordered and available for pick up or dine in. Highly recommend and we'll be back.

This is my new favorite place to stay! What you see on the website is accurate. The only thing it is missing is how nice the staff is. I love how they welcome dogs and have everything set up for the dogs to be there. They have a complementary breakfast which was delicious. Ryan their chef is very talented. I loved the everything seasoning egg casserole! The view is so beautiful. I loved watching the sunrises. They also have everything you would need to enjoy time at the beach (chairs, umbrellas, towels, and sand toys) 10 out of 10

My husband and I stayed at the St Augustine Beach House with our 2 dogs. I can't say enough about how great this place is if you need a relaxing vacation! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. Having breakfast prepared each morning was a huge convenience, and it was actually quite nice. Better than the continental or buffet breakfasts that you get at large hotels (and the scrambled eggs were cooked so well). The location is amazing - it's literally steps from the beach, close to a store and local restaurants, and beautifully quiet. Having beach chairs available to borrow was amazing and we didn't have to deal with dragging sandy things back into our room. For people with dogs, stay here! It's very pet friendly with a reasonable fee. There is an outdoor hose to wash them off before coming inside from the beach and plenty of space in the room so you're not all on top of each other. We booked the bottom floor because we have a large, older dog who can't do stairs (but loves the beach) and it was perfect for her. We will absolutely be staying here again!

. is showing age, some issues with cleanliness, little areas, hair drier full of dust, towels had hair. Bed needs to be replaced, has indentation from lots of use. Breakfast area very small, drip coffee was out repeatedly through breakfast, bfast ok, a lot of nutrient poor juice, yogurt, packaged muffin , did have a fresh egg casserole. Staff very nice and friendly, location perfect, balcony was prefect. You pay for the location.

St Augustine Beach House by far exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived till the moment we left staff was professional, courteous, and extremely customer service minded. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The room was immaculate! Everything from the beach chairs, the beach umbrellas, the beach towels to the bags of ice as well as the breakfast were perfect since we were flying in from PA and didn't have to worry about those extra comforts. Our hope is...we get to come back soon since we miss it already!

The Saint Augustine Distillery is a working distillery located in a restored ice plant dating back to the early 1900s. Visitors can take free guided tours to learn about the art of distilling and the history of Old Florida, with exhibits showcasing artifacts from the past. The distillery produces award-winning spirits such as whiskey, rum, gin, and vodka using age-old techniques in copper pot stills. The tour also includes information about the building's former life as an ice manufacturing plant.
St. Augustine Distillery Review This was my third time visiting the St. Augustine Distillery, and it continues to be an enjoyable and worthwhile stop—and best of all, it’s free! The self-guided tour includes four tasting stations. I didn’t grab photos of all of them and can’t recall every name, but I do remember sampling a Mule, an Old Fashioned mix, and what I believe was a Grapefruit Hibiscus blend. All four were delicious. The tour is short, informative, and fun. The staff is friendly, and the overall vibe is welcoming. While the free tasting doesn’t include their gin, I highly recommend trying it at the bar—it’s remarkably smooth. There’s also a full bar on site where you can purchase cocktails, and a restaurant attached to the building that I haven’t tried yet, but maybe next time. If you're in the area, this place is absolutely worth a visit—whether it's your first time or your third.

Best Distillery Experience in Florida! Yep another non-food review! What a blast! From the first sip to the last, this place knows how to deliver an experience. The rum, gin, and vodka samples were great — but the bourbon? Absolute favorite. And The Saint… wow. Hands-down the star of the show. Dominick was our guide and he crushed it — friendly, funny, and clearly loves what he does. He made the whole tour feel like we were hanging out with a friend who just happens to know everything about spirits. The classroom is gorgeous and super organized, which made learning as fun as the tasting. I’m already planning my next trip — certification, here I come! You're in the St Augustine area, stop by and as always, tell them we sent you!

This distillery is known for its famous bourbon. We stopped by and took a FREE self-guided tour which includes 4 cocktail samples. It took us about 45min-an hour to get thru with reading info provided. The staff were friendly and obviously love their jobs. They were fun to talk to about the history. After you done you could go for more tasting. The parking are on the side of the building sharing with the restaurant.

My son and I toured the distillery while traveling through Saint Augustine and had a fantastic time! The tour was extremely engaging and informative, we learned a lot, all the employees were extremely friendly in each room had a different tasting. It was a lot of fun. We actually wind up buying several pieces of merchandise in the shop before leaving. If you are in the area, it is a free tour and a lot of fun. Definitely add it to your list!
Jeanine K — Google review
Awesome experience where we complete the self guided tour. I was surprised to find it was really free, including the free sample taste of 4 of their house made cocktails. These included a Florida Mule, Essential Tonic, Old Fashion, and Tropical Tiki Mix. These were all made with their own brand Vodka, Gin, Rum and Bourbon usiung thier very own, in house made, all natural Mixers respectively. At the end of the tour, I was surprised that the final taste station provides a taste of each spirit straight up. Also, you may choose to purchase a taste of their premier Bourbon Whiskey for $10. It's worth mentioning these are all 1/2 ounce serving but enough to help you make up your mind on your favorites.

I’ve been coming here since shortly after they opened in 2013 and somehow they manage to outdo themselves each time. Today, we did the bourbon tasting tour. Dominick was amazing! We learned a lot, tried some incredible bourbon, and had a great time.

I'd give this tour SIX stars if I could. Dominick led the Bourbon Tasting tour we scheduled, and was beyond amazing! We had a blast, learned a bunch, sampled some things, and learned all about the process, both in the classroom and on the production floor. HIGHLY recommend this tasting!

Nice distillery. Didn't went for the tour but went to the store and they had plenty of stuff! Sadly, our lugage was too heavy to grab a bottle of rhum but i got a bag of pecan with rhum. Will go back if i'm in town to try the drinks!

The Floridian Restaurant offers a modern menu featuring locally sourced Southern cuisine with plenty of vegan options, all served in a kitschy decor. Husband-and-wife team Jeff McNally and Genie Kepner have curated a menu that embraces Florida's Southern food heritage using native ingredients in lighter and fresher dishes.
One of the best local spots! Wide range of things to order, nice atmosphere and great service. I've ordered most of the menu, and everything has been so good. My personal favorite is the Biscuits and Belly. The pork belly will melt in your mouth, and the sauces are all unique and delicious. Definitely get some cornbread, too, and finish it off with a Kentucky Derby slice! Pictures I had are of a recent take out order, and they were just as good as eating in!

I’ve been to St. Augustine before, but never dined at this place until now. We just arrived in town today & were looking for a nice spot for dinner when we stumbled upon this cute, cozy & surprisingly spacious restaurant. They offer a great variety of options for everyone—meat eaters, vegans & vegetarians alike. As a vegetarian, it’s not always easy to find a good place to eat, but both my boyfriend & I were genuinely impressed. This place is a solid 10/10! The food, service, ambiance & drinks were all top-notch. As someone who doesn’t drink, I had one of the best non-alcoholic beverages I’ve ever tasted. I ordered a curry with tofu & it was an absolutely incredible food experience. My boyfriend had a meat plate that he loved & he was also really impressed with their beer selection. We also got a dip appetizer which was very delicious. Overall, an amazing experience—we’ve already decided this will be our go-to spot whenever we’re in town!

Great food and server, but disappointing reservation handling and missed opportunity on a special occasion We had a reservation at The Floridian and arrived 10 minutes early. Despite checking in promptly, we weren’t seated until over 20 minutes past our reservation time—30 minutes after check-in—with no communication or update from the host stand. To make matters worse, a party of four and a party of thirteen, both with the same reservation time and who arrived after us, were seated before us. No explanation was given. It felt like our reservation—and our time—weren’t given any consideration. When we booked the reservation, we were prompted to indicate if we were celebrating a special occasion. We noted that it was our anniversary, hoping that would add a nice personal touch to our evening. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment from the host stand, and no gesture or effort from the restaurant as a whole. Our server, however, was excellent. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, she warmly wished us a happy anniversary right away. She was knowledgeable, kind, and attentive throughout the meal—an absolute bright spot in the experience. This review is in no way a reflection of her service. The food was also a highlight: the brisket posole was phenomenal, and the meatloaf was quite good. We left satisfied with the food and truly appreciated our server’s professionalism. Still, on what should’ve been a special and memorable night, we left feeling overlooked. A simple gesture—a dessert, a note, or just a little acknowledgment—would have gone a long way. Especially since the system prompted us to share that we were celebrating, it was disappointing to see no follow-through. Great food and service—but the front-of-house experience and guest communication need work, particularly when it comes to honoring reservations and occasion-based bookings.

I visited The Floridian in St. Augustine with three friends, and we all had such a great experience! Every meal we ordered had its own unique flavor — each dish tasted different in the best way, and everything was delicious. You can tell they put care into the ingredients and preparation. I felt really good after the meal, both satisfied and impressed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed, flavorful meal with friends. Highly recommended!

Nice little place and amazing food. It has vegan and dairy free options for anyone who needs those options. We went on the weekend, so a little busy. But that didn't slow them down for getting our food out to us in a timely manner. Wonderful, friendly staff. Highly recommend if you like to try different twists on some yummy food.

Came across this place by accident. There was a giant selection of gluten free food and vegetarian. I was not a fan of the veggie burger but that was a personal preference. The homemade chips were delicious! The staff was super friendly. It was very clean and seating inside.

Visiting from WA state and we had an outstanding meal. So fantastic to be able to find truly delicious vegan options and not just a salad minus the cheese! I had fried green tomatoes (my go to when I am in the South) followed by the curry with tofu which was wonderful. My only sadness, they were sold out of vegan dessert so my waste-line was saved! Hats off to our server Troy, he explained everything and was attentive throughout our meal.

We had a wonderful lunch experience! The lunch menu had an excellent selection, and the food was prepared exceptionally well. If you're looking for something fresh and earthy, the Grain Bowl salad is a must-try, seriously, no need for extra protein! The Biscuit and Belly appetizer was delicious. While the soup of the day (vegetarian eggplant, potato, peppers, etc.) might sound simple, its flavors were surprisingly complex and truly outstanding. Our group also thoroughly enjoyed the Burrito Fresco and the Cuban (pork) Floridan. We're already planning our next visit to explore the dinner menu!

Nestled just a few blocks from The Ice Plant, San Sebastian Winery is a delightful local gem that invites visitors to explore the art of winemaking in St. Augustine. This vibrant winery offers complimentary tastings and guided tours, showcasing their impressive selection of wines crafted from grapes sourced in northern and central Florida. Among their offerings are classic varietals like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside unique blends made from Muscadine grapes—an iconic Southern variety known for its rich flavor profile.
Great atmosphere, loved the setting. The employee was knowledgeable and very informative. We tasted 5 different wines, all very good, and we found our favorite. All the sweet wine is made with grapes from Florida. We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine. My husband and I had a great time there and if you have guests from out of town I definitely recommend as well.

One of my faves in all of FL; I love the sister winery in Clermont as well. Made the drive to pick up our fave bourbon - infused wine from San Sebastián. We arrived pretty late and were thankful the folks let us shop for our wine! To make the drive from Jax worth the while we checked out the restaurant upstairs and it did not disappoint at all. Food was excellent. Wonderful and welcoming service, our waiter was friendly and offered great conversation.

I love this place! I have wanted to visit them for a while because I knew some of the grapes were grown right here in Florida. I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity. The tasting assistants are very knowledgeable & ready to answer any question. For instance, during my tasting experience, I learned the Ruby Port is aged in whiskey barrels the come from the distillery up the road. How cool is that?

San Sebastian Winery Review – St. Augustine, FL This was my second visit to San Sebastian Winery, and it did not disappoint. For just a $5 tasting fee, this is absolutely a must-stop when in St. Augustine. During this visit, I sampled several wines: the Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Rosa, Vintner's White, Vintner's Red, and the Ruby Port. While I typically lean toward dry reds, the Rosa was the standout for me. Made from native Floridian Muscadine grapes, it far exceeded my expectations. These grapes often get a bad rap, but I was pleasantly surprised—this wasn’t just good “for a sweet wine,” it was genuinely enjoyable and ended up being my favorite of the bunch. Fun fact: the incredibly popular Erie, Pennsylvania band Ruby Port took their name from San Sebastian’s very own Ruby Port wine. Although we didn’t get the chance to check out the upstairs restaurant, the outdoor seating area looked very inviting and relaxing. I’ll definitely plan to explore more on my next visit. Highly recommend!

Not my first time at a winery, but my first time to San Sebastian and it was great. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was a nice mix of wine tasting, history lesson, and camaraderie. On-site wine available for purchase or shipping. They had discounts on buying 4 bottles, 6 bottles, and cases. (20% discount on a case is fantastic.) My girlfriend and I drove from Lake City (about 2 hours away) to come here and we were not disappointed. We drank delicious wine, learned about Florida wine and muscadine grapes, we talked with people on the tour with us, and we chatted up the sommelier-level staff and just had a wonderful time. Highly recommend, great for a date night, or a night out with friend.
Michael D — Google review
The tour is a cheap price; however, I didn’t complete it. You first watch a video about 20 minutes that’s like a time share video. Once we were about 10 minutes into the video, a gaggle of people with 2 noisy kids were let it. Next, we went into the barrel tasting room. The children were shrieking and yelling they didn’t want to be there (why would they?) When I said I couldn’t hear the tour guide explaining what we were drinking, the mom started cursing me out. Rather than engage, I left. I was annoyed that kids were let into the tasting rooms without supervision.

Restaurant
Nestled among the majestic Live Oaks along the banks of the Tolomato River, Aunt Kates is a delightful seafood haven that boasts stunning water views and an eclectic menu. This charming eatery has a rich history dating back to 1900 when industrialist Henry Flagler stopped by for roasted oysters prepared by Catherine and Frank Usina. Their culinary skills left such an impression that Flagler rewarded them generously, marking the beginning of a legacy.
Aunt Kate’s hit the spot. We started with the gator tail. It was super tasty, but I could’ve used about five more pieces. I got the fish tacos. They are loaded with fish and full of flavor. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich with a big ol’ slice of pineapple on top and loved it. I ordered a side of mac and cheese because I’m a grown man with the appetite of a 10-year-old. It was Velveeta-style but somehow still awesome, not runny at all. Great river view, live music, and our server was on point. Five stars!

Great atmosphere and beach vibes! A very pleasant way to spend an evening Right along the water with trees surrounding you and water and sun views! The food isn’t bad and traditional beach seafood. A bit heavy on cream in the soup. The blackened mahi was a bit bland and under seasoned. Service can be a bit slow and inattentive! Prices are very reasonable and great for large groups as well Plenty of parking out front and a wonderful dock to watch the sunset. A bit noisy if you’re trying to have a conversation

Very fun restaurant for dinner! We got seating on the back deck and the vibes were phenomenal! We got the Seafood platter and the Shrimp basket, we were very happy with both. Seafood Platter (Broiled): the best parts were definitely the shrimp, scallops, and the mahi. The crab cake was okay, very doughy, not my favorite. The fries were fantastic, loved those! Shrimp Basket: We swapped normal fried shrimp for the coconut shrimp and also swapped for sweet potato fries. The coconut shrimp was great, we were very happy with that choice. The sweet potato fries were unique, in stead of salt, they seasoned them with sugar. I personally didn’t love that, but it did make it sweet. We loved coming here!

He asked what we might be interested in eating that evening and gave us some wondetful suggestions. Once we received our food the taste and smell was so delious. We both ordered seafood along with a appetizer of Gator bites and Lobster Bisque soup. Our server came back numerous times to refresh our beverages. He was very attentive to our needs. I solo tent camped here for one night in September. The campsites were large, shaded, and surrounded by beautiful trees. It was quiet, peaceful and I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. The boardwalk to the beach was absolutely stunning at sunset and the park itself was very clean and spacious. The bathroom facilities were also clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this park for camping or other activities.

Wonderful park for camping and resting. Due to my lovely Irish Norwegian fair skin, I have to avoid the hot sun. This is a difficult balance for a Floridian. The camping spots at ASP are well shaded and the proximity to the beach is perfect!! Sunrises are absolutely breathtaking and the park is well cared for. We enjoyed bird watching in the mornings and swimming in the early evenings. The added bonus is the proximity to downtown Old St. Augustine.

Camping at its best with accommodations for RVs. Power at water at most sites along with picnic table and fire ring. Bathouse (Angel Wing Loop) is 3/5 showing much age and in dire need of updating. Pet friendly. Not all sites are level. Great nights stay with space in between neighbors. Plenty of woods and natural atmosphere.

This is an exceptional state park. The sites are private and level with water and 30-amp electricity at every site. (50 amp available also) The restrooms are well maintained, there are laundry services, recycling, and a dump station. We didn't use the trails due to mosquitoes, but the beach is beautiful!

A bird watchers beach! Love this beautiful stretch of beach. No hotels, restaurants, or loud bars, just untouched dunes and gentle waves. Perfect place for a morning walk. The volunteers that you can find along the beach are so kind, helpful, and informative. Sue took probably an hour showing my daughter and I this amazing, extensive, catalog of the wonderful sea life she had collected over a year. That sort of knowledge and enthusiasm to share science is something I both love and admire. It helps spark conversations and a love for conservation. 🫶🏽

A beautiful place... the beach is a wonderful place to relax or take a walk. The other self guided tours are cool too but we went out during "mosquito" season. Wouldn't really recommend that! 😁

Beautiful dunes and beach!! Tons of Gulf Fritillary butterflies, gulls, and piping plover birds!!! It was soo hot, but so worth enjoying the sand and scenery - and the beachside grill and restrooms right there were a godsend!

Scarlett O'Hara's is a popular spot in St. Augustine, known for its lively atmosphere and live music events. The restaurant has won numerous awards and has been a local tradition for over 40 years. Housed in a charming 19th-century building adorned with Southern-style decor, it offers delicious BBQ and Southern cuisine. Recently renovated and rebranded as Scarlet Rouge, the bar maintains an inviting ambiance with attentive service.
While walking around St Augustine to see the Night of Lights, we found this cool bar with amazing atmosphere. The inside is old world wood with beautiful trim and stained glass. We started with drinks and I enjoyed the Old Fashioned and a draft. We followed that with Fish Fingers and a creamy tartar sauce perfectly fried and tender. Also enjoyed the Onion Rings. Again very tasty. I would recommend the full menu even though we left early for dinner down the street. The bartender was a very friendly and nice person. Enjoy.

The family and I went here when we went to see night of lights. After walking around the shops for a couple of hours we got hungry and stumbled across this little gem. The food was good and the service was also good, exactly what I expected which is a compliment. The place itself was really a pretty cool experience and something I'd love to do again. If you're there and looking for a good meal at a good price I would definitely recommend this place, at least give it a look, I doubt you'll regret it.

Well, all good thing's come to an end, or do they ? Scarlett O'Haras is now Scarletts, fantastic burgers, hot dogs, and chicken fingers.. Our meals were delicious and one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Service was spot on great job 👏

Wow, what a cool place! Open late with a lot of different types of drinks. I love the dark wood and rustic vibe. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. We had the bbq pulled pork sliders and the chicken nachos, both were great. They have a bunch of different sitting areas and a few different bars. Highly recommend!

Food was very tasty! I loved the sweet potato tots with the honey sauce. The Pulled Pork sandwich, Ceasar salad, Mahi Mahi sandwich, and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap were all good choices. The Fries Green Tomatoes were very flavorful. Another great meal from Scarlett's!

Reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff. All day Happy hour, great old fashions, live music (we went on a Sunday afternoon), and interesting history/story of the origins of the house and the man that built it. Didn't try the food bc we had lunch right before stopping for drinks, but the wings that someone else ordered next to us looked and smelled amazing!

We had a wonderful lunch . My wife had Mahi Mahi sandwich and I had chicken tenders and onion rings. Our server Judy did an outstanding job with our service. (Thank you Judy). We went upstairs to the “ghost bar”, didn’t see anything, but it is definitely creepy up there. Overall, excellent restaurant and the food is spectacular. Try the onion rings, best I ever had!!

Hands down, one of best little places in area. Food was delicious 😋 Brussels sprouts were some of best. ive ever had! Parking is limited and you may find across street. Not a good place to try to get into of you have handicap, wheelchair!!

The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens is a stylish property dating back to the 1790s, offering classic rooms and suites. Situated in St. Augustine's historic district, it provides an intimate and upscale experience with modern amenities. The inn features original historical elements such as hardwood floors, fireplaces, and coquina walls from the 18th to early 20th centuries. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool and complimentary breakfast while being centrally located near popular attractions like St.
Had a wonderful stay at The Collector Inn. Amenities were all very nice, rooms were clean, lots of nice extra touches. The grounds were beautiful, well maintained, very relaxing. Staff was all very friendly and helpful, valets were fast and professional. Michael was very friendly and helpful. Overall place was very nice, well run and will definitely be back. Additionally it’s only about a 3 minute walk away from St George street, so location is excellent as well.

Valets are impeccable. Breakfast is yummy and the water machine is so convenient! Excellent location to walk to stuff or to take the trolley. The Well has fun drinks. Pool is great! Rooms had ceiling fans! Staff were super friendly!

We had a wonderful long weekend stay here and are already looking forward to our next visit to The Collector! Staff was beyond hospitable, salt water pool was the perfect temperature, the gardens were far more beautiful than any pictures could capture! Oozing romance and old world vibes, it felt so far quiet and removed from the downtown bustle, when in reality it was just a moments walk to incredible restaurants, live music, and quaint shops. Additionally, the breakfast was much more than your traditional continental spread… homemade biscuits and gravy, fine cheese and fresh fruit, bacon, they even had chia seeds for our yogurt parfaits! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special! We look forward to staying with you next time we are in St Augustine!

A delightful place in every way. A stunning setting with beautiful gardens and historic buildings which are well maintained. Its situated only a few minutes walk away from the historic area with great shopping, restaurants and the old town trolley service. The pool is lovely and firepits are scattered around the garden for evening relaxation. There are complementary snacks and drinks in the units for the first night. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfasts were very nice and the coffee good. Our only slightly negative comment is the bedroom size was a bit small and one had to sidle down between the the bed and the wall to get in or out of bed. Other than that the unit was fantastic. The bathroom was excellent and the supplied toiletries were of excellent quality. I highly recommend this establishment and would happily return there on another visit.

This is the third visit I have made to The Collector Inn and once again it did not disappoint. Our King Suite was perfect. This location is perfect in downtown St. Augustine. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the valet. Anthony, Nicholas and John were great! John at the bar in The Well was also friendly and has great restaurant recommendations. Look forward to our visit again next July.

⭐ 2/5 🛎️ Mixed Experience at a Luxury Property Our stay began with a disappointing welcome from the hostess, and the first room assigned was not well maintained. 😕 Thankfully, Nashana and John (valet) stepped in with exceptional service and professionalism. 🙌 Their kindness and quick thinking turned a frustrating situation into something much more positive. 💯 Unfortunately, the property itself didn’t live up to its luxury branding. 🏚️ There was undisclosed termite work during our visit, and a $50/day amenity fee was charged regardless of use or weather. At this price point, I expected more transparency and flexibility. 💸 The website is beautifully designed but doesn’t reflect the actual condition of the property. 📸✨ I would’ve chosen a different luxury option had I seen more accurate reviews. Bottom line: Huge thanks to Nashana & John for their outstanding service, but the overall value and experience didn’t match the cost. Be sure to read real guest reviews before booking. ✅ #LuxuryLetdown #GreatStaffMatters #TravelSmart #HotelReview #HonestFeedback #CustomerServiceWins

Our favorite place to stay in St. Augustine. This is an ADULT ONLY Bed & Breakfast which we love. The location is great. It is within walking distance to everything. They have exceptional staff, clean rooms, and beautiful grounds. They offer daily breakfast options, and have also a personal bar (The Well) for hotel guests only. Would recommend this place 100 times over. Book now you will not be disappointed.

This beautifully restored hotel is both charming and elegantly comfortable. Friendly staff welcome you and ensure you are comfortably settled in your room. Beautifully restored historic property with a few minor quirks that remind you of the buildings' age. This does not distract from its overall charm.

Nestled in the heart of St. Augustine's Historic District, Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection offers a luxurious Moroccan-themed retreat. The hotel boasts elegant accommodations with Old World charm, featuring wrought iron details and hardwood floors. Guests can indulge in the spa lounge, Jacuzzi, and outdoor pool while being within walking distance of historic landmarks like Castillo de San Marcos and the Gonzalez-Alvarez House.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Monica, in St.Augustine. It was a delightful place to stay while we explored the rich history of the city. From their prominent, central location, we walked everywhere and discovered great restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel is a historic treasure itself, so every part of it is a work of art. The unique architecture and artful interiors are like staying in a museum, and a gallery. Our room was spacious, clean and charming, with beautiful views. The staff of the hotel are all fantastic professionals, with unparalleled commitment to accommodating their guests in every way. From the valet service, to the house keeping, and the front desk, every member of the Casa Monica team was remarkable and endearing. James assisted us with the valet several times and was very hardworking. We could take the car out anytime in only minutes. Our room was freshened and restocked by Maria, who was a joy to see each day. I even got to practice my Spanish with her in conversation, which was so fun. Jewel and Nardia were our favorite ladies at the desk every day, and each of them contributed greatly and sincerely to a wonderful stay! We have already booked our next trip to Casa Monica.

I don’t like to write only negative or bad comments. So I’ll try to include good and bad. 1. Location: Very good. In the heart of St. Augustine. Lots of restaurants and sights around the hotel. 2. Parking: Valet is a ripoff at $42/day. If you’re not planning on using your car during your stay (which we weren’t), then there is a very nice and large parking garage that is about 3/4 mile from hotel. It is called “The Historic Downtown Parking Facility”. For $34.08, we left our car there for 4 days and 3 nights. And….they have a free trolley that comes right across the street from the hotel. I included a picture of the front of the garage. 3. Rooms: Nicely decorated. Furniture drawers don’t close. Very comfortable bed. The WiFi is horrible. We are Marriott Bonvoy members. Forget “enhanced WiFi connections” for members. The engineer that came to the room said there is no enhanced WiFi. It was so bad we had to change rooms (after unpacking all of our luggage). Also, because the building is so old, the smell of mold/mildew is significant. And the AC in our room smelled old and wet. We still have dry coughs. 4. Service: First, the good. Rebecca, Nardia, and Charlene were great at the front desk. Really sweet and informative as well as good at fixing problems. The valet guys seem clueless and uninterested in helping. 5. Value: Expensive for what you get. The building is beautiful and historic. So are all the buildings around it. But to spend $400-$500/night for this hotel is high. They need to work on the details of it being an old building.

Central location, great management and staff, ethereal architecture and a chance to become part of this hotels historic and ongoing living history makes Casa Monica the preferred place to stay, eat and drink during your St Augustine visit. Your only regret will be not staying longer or doing more. The quiet directly outside after dark lends itself to midnight strolls through fountained gardens or monumental courtyards that will leave you at ease and returning over and over on cool nights; while views from your suite in the daytime are the one of a kind vista to study long ago pride in architecture and city that still impacts at a glance and lingers long after you leave. St Augustine is historic and Casa Monica is the only way to centralize your experience while incorporating yourself into the already long history of the city and amazing calm, refined and irreplaceable historic resort that has literally everything you need on site and/or immediately nearby. My gf and I were impressed with entire resort experience there. Just know after 10pm eateries shut down in area, far too early, but Casa Monica has its own Starbucks 24/7! Thank you to overnight crew, Although all staff we saw were kind and helpful, overnight blazer guy took charge, very acomidatng! Highly recommend after stay on oct 21st

The hotel is beautiful and I love the history behind it. The room we stayed in was clean and would have been better suited for just two adults. We had a roll away bed for our daughter, and it was very cramped. Our room was located right by the pool which would have been fine had it not been for club music still blaring at 10 pm. There was also a very strong, gross smell when you were coming up the outdoor staircase by the pool area. The location can’t be beat though. You are within close walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions, shopping, and food. If you take the trolley tour, you’re very close to a stop as well. Overall our stay was great but just wanted something a little quieter.

I hate to write a less than 5 star review on this hotel since it has been the only place I would stay when visiting every year. The issue we had is with the "dog friendly" hotel. I don't remember seeing dogs before but this time there were many. Don't get me wrong... we LOVE dogs just not large, not so well behaved dogs in a hotel such as this. Why would you allow dogs in an historic hotel with these prices. We encountered 2 very large rottweilers in the lobby and in the hall on our floor. The Owners had a difficult time keeping them under control. At 2AM we heard the dogs in a ferocious fight in the hallway. What do you do when a dog pees or poops on your historic carpet in the room where another guest will occupy the next day? For the very high price, I didn't expect this. Other than that, the piano player in the lunge was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed him. Next time I will probably look elsewhere for a room.

The Casa Monica Hotel is beautiful, full of character, and perfectly located right in the heart of historic St. Augustine. The staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable. My boyfriend and I stayed at Southern Oaks Inn for our anniversary, and it was such a lovely experience! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we loved the cozy atmosphere. One of the highlights was the 24-hour general store in the lobby super convenient for late-night snacks or anything we needed. Breakfast was also a great surprise for an inn; it was a full hot breakfast with plenty of food and drink options. The location was another big plus just a short 5–7 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine, which made exploring so easy and convenient. Overall, it was the perfect place for a relaxing and memorable stay. We’d definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay! I highly recommended this hotel. The entire staff was a delight to interact with. The facility was clean and appropriate. The shuttle service was exceptional! Our only suggestions would be adding another shuttle stop in the downtown area if possible as well as adding a few more things to breakfast. A simple move of the juice and coffee to another wall would help the flow for the guests as well as adding a waffle maker and bacon. The breakfast room is very clean and just needs a little improvement although we decided to only have coffee when we saw the choices, it was good and the other guests seems to enjoy it but the line was long. Thank you for a great stay!

When I tell you the experience of my stay here is nothing short of beautiful and fulfilling; I mean it‼️ My first encounter with a gentleman by the name of Dustin over the phone prior to and at the front desk was nothing short of a humbling experience after a long journey on the road l. I felt seen and welcomed and treated as a true guest. Any and all information I ask Dustin was able to provide that and then some‼️‼️ The room I received was beyond maculate from top to bottom clean and well situated. As my stay went on due to choosing to book another day I’ve have had wonderful experiences with other employees here who had all been very caring in regards to ensuring my stay is pleasant and it’s definitely a place one should check out. It’s quite there’s a bit of nature around it when a pen that neatly put if you have pets who need to run and play. You literally in a centralized location down from the the fort where there are a variety of things to see and if your a foodie it’s a plus‼️ I would highly recommend if you’re in the area you may want to check out this location first compared to the bigger names in the industry. I don’t believe you would be disappointed especially if you’re looking for a simple getaway from the everyday rush of business. Thank you guys so much for the experience you’ve created; I’ll definitely will be back soon‼️‼️‼️

We had great stay, room was clean & spacious, everything was in working order, breakfast was what u expect. We wished we had used the shuttle, but our plans were later than 10pm, dog park was nice addition (next time we will bring our pup). Only downside ( in my opinion) was parking fee when we are choosing to stay, but it wasnt hidden fee, I was warned when booking. Definitely would book again

My spouse, 2 service dogs and me stayed here a week ago for 3 days... What an amazing experience it was! Everyone in the staff went above and beyond to make our stay nice, easy and comfortable. This place is also the MOST dog friendly place I have ever seen! Special areas to walk them, rooms with everything necessary to keep them cozy too. They pointed us out to the best places to visit in the city and area... there was nothing not to like! We will definitely come back for our next vacation. My one and only suggestion: can we make the pool area dog friendly as well for at least part of the day?Otherwise, 10/10 from us!

It was unsettling to find a full-size palmetto bug in the bathroom sink area when we arrived (Welcome to Florida!). But we managed get it out thanks to married-couple team work. Other than that, Southern Oaks is a nice property with plenty of space and parking. Great location. CVS and Walgreens across the street is clutch.

Very clean and very nice staff. They offer for 5.00 extra on you room a daily shuttle. The 5 is for every day you use the shuttle only. Not every time you use it. They serve shots and margaritas and beer 🍻 in the main office. The pool is so beautiful and has shade you can get under. The rooms are so clean. They just cleaned our room and we are back in for the night it smells so good. Bathroom and showers and floors are clean I feel safe for my kids and I to walk in the room without shoes on. Hot water always it never runs out. The ground's here are beautiful ❤️💜❤️ plenty of places to walk around on the property and a special place for your pets in a gated area to to play and us the restroom. If you need a place to stay in St. Augustine with you pet 🐶🐕🐶 this is the place and your right next to historical town and everything. Go to Windixie it's super close and not as crowded as Publix was. I found that out the hard way. China Wok in the Windixie shopping center delivers there too and it's delicious 😋. Come stay here you will love it.

I booked a room with two double beds and stated in the reservation that I was bringing a 15LB. Dog. For three nights, it was approximately $400. When I arrived they added another $200 for the parking of two cars and a pet fee for each day and also $100 deposit. This Motel allows smoking, and they have smokers in every hallway by the ice machine. The rooms have a moldy, musty smell, and the floors were sticky upon my arrival. The beds were We're not comfortable the linens were threadbare And the pillows you could feel lumps in them from the broken foam. I asked where the dog bed was. They said they didn't have that or bowls available and that I had booked the wrong room I said well I've paid the Dog fee. We don't have any available till the next day. OK great that's what is the least of our problems. The air conditioner was very icy feeling, noisy & dank. I told them I needed another room Or at a minimum better pillows and they said all the pillows are the same. All the mattresses are the same. I could not keep my nine-year-old in this environment so I let them know. I was displeased as soon as I checked in But they said they deal with it in the morning there was nothing to deal with so I had to leave Still did not refund me the money for the two unused days, even though they claim their place was sold out I do not recommend this place to anybody. Reminds me of motel on TV show Breaking Bad.

The room was great. It was clean, cool and comfortable. Check in was good until I noticed the extra money that was taken out of my checking account. I had prepaid a month in advance and when I checked in they somehow charged me for one of the rooms once again. The manager would not be in for four days and she is the can only one that can reverse the charges. So I'll see ... Check out was good.

We stayed here last week, I wanted to give it a better rating because the women at the front desk was very sweet and nice. This hotel is good for what it is. A place to sleep in. We were there for 3 nights and our room didn’t get cleaned once (maybe they don’t provide housekeeping , I’m not sure) the night we got there I got a text asking to text if we needed anything , I asked for more towels and didn’t receive them until the next day when I also asked for an extra blanket. We went to the pool and there was food floating in the pool. Not a terrible place, it was quiet and walking distance to town.

the location was great, everything was pretty much walking distance. i didn’t see an elevator when i was checking in so i climbed the stairs with all my stuff and there were a few dead roaches on the floor. the room was nice, clean, smelled fine. until we got the the bathroom and it smelled like someone sharted right before we got there. the smell lingered the whole time, but nothing perfume and a dream couldn’t cover up. i felt pretty safe while i was there, there was a man hanging outside our door talking about cigarettes but it added to the ambiance so it’s okay. the dennys is attached to the hotel which i thought was fascinating because ive never seen that before lol. it was a good stay, i can tell the employees try their best.

There was a bad infestation of German cockroachs in our room, which we didn't realize until late at night when they all decided to come out from under the beds and under the trash cans. It was the worst experience me and my family have ever had. I'm glad we caught it before it got in our luggage. They moved us to another room around midnight because I couldn't find any other hotels available at that time of the night. The other room didn't seem to have any bugs but we slept with our clothes on, over the sheets and left all of our luggage in the vehicle. No compensation was offered. It was the absolute worst experience I have ever had.

Nice place but we had an Issue. My wife and I left our room to get lunch. We hung the do not disturb card on the door. When we returned from our lunch there was a man in our room that was updating the tv service. He did not have ID hanging around is neck or a shirt saying what company he works for. The do not disturb sign alwas still on the door. We did not get any type of notice that this was going to happen. All our belongings that were on the dresser where the tv was were moved to the top of the refrigerator and onto the chair. The guy just looked at me and said it will only take a min. I was like what are you even doing in here. I went to the desk and all i got was im sorry. When i got back to the room there was a guy looking for a pool and the other person that was working with the guy who was in our room asked if that was his room. Didnt ask for card nothing. So i escalated my complaint to corporate Hopefully they do something because if you like this place and like staying here it should be more secure. What would of happened if my wife and i were sleeping when he walked in. Very disappointed.

.Very, very dated rooms, told they only had upstairs rooms, watched as 4 couples came in and went to vacant rooms below. Not very clean, surprised Wyndham puts their name on it. Not a very good representation of Wyndham standards. The motel is the same as 15 years ago, literally! The Denny's on site is gross and overpriced $4 for a cup of coffee to go. Coffee machine in room has cobwebs, mold. Ceiling has water stains, front door looks like it was kicked in, same with bathroom door, door has to be locked to keep from opening (front door). Bathroom door is hard to close, warped. Front door hinges look like someone damaged door pins aren't set in hinges very well. I would not recommend this as a Wyndham property it is not a good motel for the price. We used Wyndham points at 15000 a night, not worth the price or points.

Everything was nice except for the A/C. The machine was very loud that it kept waking me up. It just didn't cool the room enough so I could turn it off. The room looks very nice. Floor and the funiture are pretty new. Looks like newly renovated. Everything was clean and functioning.

Although, we were so excited over the time to celebrate our anniversary the stay in the hotel were quite disappointing. Although, the outside appeared well kept, the lobby was dark and gloomy and the AC wasn’t working in the lobby. The hotel room: desk was wobbly as if it was going to fall apart. The floors were filthy as if not mopped. The lamps were not working properly. The coffee pot was very small and useless. About, the only part was good was location due to close to St Augustine historic area and near San Marcos Fort etc.

Holiday Inn St. Augustine - Historic, an IHG Hotel offers modern accommodation with amenities like an outdoor pool, a laid-back cafe, and complimentary WiFi and parking. The rooms feature convenient bedside lighting and charging ports. Guests appreciated the friendly and helpful housekeeping and front desk staff. The hotel's central location provides easy access to restaurants and tourist attractions, although renovations may cause some inconvenience.
We’ve been her when it was the old hotel but the remodel and changes made a humongous difference. We started camping instead of staying here as it was not our top choice but now we will be back. We enjoy the free breakfast , clean rooms and the awesome pool to ourselves.

Definitely ascetically the nicest Hampton I have stayed in. The $20 parking fee for an open lot not that close to historic downtown is a bit much. Feels a bit like a money grab for a hotel that’s already pretty pricey. Other than that it’s your standard Hampton, comfortable beds, clean, decent free breakfast, just a little higher end feeling.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a while. We called two days before coming to make sure we could have a crib when we stayed and we were told there are cribs at no extra charge. We decided to stay at this hotel because they did offer the crib but after we booked our reservation and checked in we were informed that there were no cribs available for us. We were frustrated but made do with what we had. Then there is the extra fee they charge for parking and other “services” which was totally unexpected. There were other issues with the room as well. Our shower was broken so you could only have water pressure if the water was cold. In addition to that we found a cockroach in the room. It was all around not a good stay especially for the price that we had to pay. I am disappointed in this hotel experience.

The rudest front desk staff I’ve ever heard.. told us we could only park one car and lied and said it was stated on the website ,it is not! .. the door on our room looked like it was pried open with a crowbar and will not open and shut correctly
D R — Google review
Unfortunately, when booking, it was not indicated anywhere that this hotel is fully under construction. The lobby is closed, and the foyer between the front desk and the rooms is covered in construction dust, causing us to track it into our rooms on our shoes. The advertised breakfast is not an option, the fitness center is closed, and loud construction begins promptly at 7:45am - 8am every morning. On the second day of our stay, the water was completely shut off without warning. We had no access to bathrooms, shower, or the sink for the entire day. When they finally did put the water back on, there was no hot water. I am disappointed that they took our reservation without disclosing the construction going on and without informing us that all amenities are closed. I will say, after all of that, they did issue us a full refund for our stay and the staff was apologetic. The staff did the best that they could, I just wish that the hotel disclosed what was going on at the time of booking.

My girlfriend and I were taking a weekend trip to St. Augustine, and we looked at several hotels and Airbnb options for our trip and we ultimately settled on this hotel for our two-night stay for a few reasons. The hotel is in a good location allowing us to walk to most everything we wanted to do that weekend as well ease of access to and from the hotel itself. It also displayed and boosted about spacious and comfortable rooms, a nice open lobby area with a full bar and a pool, hot tub and patio area along with free breakfast and from the photos on the site it looked pretty delicious with ample selection. However, this hotel fell very short of everything they presented, and we were both highly disappointed and displeased with the hotel from the minute we walked in the front door. They did have a very small single sentence on their that took us several minutes to even find after looking for it as a notice that they were doing some construction on the building but that they were still open. What they failed to say was that it was more than just "some construction" but in fact a complete remodel of the entire from lobby and reception and the whole area had been completely gutted and plastic sheeting was hanging up as makeshift walls everywhere and debris and dust was everywhere and on everything. Needless to say, there was no bar, no sitting area and the breakfast that was advertised was just a small bag of basic pasties and granola bars. We checked in and got to our room on the third floor and the room itself did live up to its photos and description as it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was no mini fridge but we didn't mind much as we just utilized a small trash can and the ice machine as a makeshift cooler. However, the entire floor hallway smelled like straight cat pee and ammonia and from all the concrete dust and that in the lobby area and first floor, the carpet in the hallways was covered in it as well from guests walking in and out. We did make it out to the pool deck to enjoy the hot tub and it was not terrible. The pool patio area was fairly clean aside from a fair number of leaves in the pool and hot tub both but the control for the jets in the hot tub were open and accessible and the hot tub was really hot but still enjoyable after adjusting to the temperature. I will caution anyone staying here and getting into the hot tub though because the steps are severely slanted, and the bottom of the tub is very rough with the intake screens sticking up pretty high from the floor and very painful when you are trying to catch your balance after slipping off the second step and catch one with your foot as my girlfriend did. One of the biggest complaints we had aside from the full renovation construction going on and everything above is from our first morning waking up there. They had a single use Keurig coffee maker in the room with two coffee pods provided and we both really enjoy our morning coffee, so we made each other a cup using both pods and enjoyed the coffee. Then we both wanted a second cup of coffee but there were no more pods in the room so I thought no big deal I can call the front desk and just request more. Not so much, I called down and when they finally answered the phone, and I asked if we could get more coffee pods for our room, I was told by the front desk person that we could not because housekeeping did not arrive in the building until 9:00 am and I would have to wait until then and then they could speak with them and get some brought up. Mind you this was at around 7:55 am I called them. When we checked in the day before, there were three people working the front desk so we were highly displeased that not only is housekeeping not even in the building but that not a single person from reception could bring a couple coffee pods up to the room.

Before we booked our room I read mixed reviews, but decided to take a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the remodeled rooms, cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly, professional front desk staff. The restaurant remodeling will be completed soon, but there are plenty of places to eat within a short walking distance. We would gladly stay here again.

I liked this hotel because it is so close to the old city. The location is perfect. With the car parked and leaving the bags in the room an evening stroll towards the St Marco's street was made. A perfect evening. The room was clean, bathroom in excellent condition. I was not impressed with the breakfast. Got there around 9am and all the pastries was already gone with no refill.

Best Western Historic Bayfront is a pet-friendly hotel located in St. Augustine, Florida, offering panoramic views of Matanzas Bay and easy access to historic downtown attractions. The hotel features an outdoor pool and a terrace for guests to relax. It's conveniently situated within walking distance of St. Augustine's landmarks, providing clean and well-equipped rooms with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges.
This is a very nice hotel. We've stayed here many times over 47 years, usually for our anniversary. This is the closest hotel to old downtown St Augustine with a pool and on property parking. You can walk out of your room and be at the fort or St. George Street, on a romantic carriage ride, or on the trolley in just minutes. There is no better location for old town activities and exploration at this price. The bay view is spectacular. Rooms are clean, staff is helpful. There is a $25/night parking fee but it's worth it. The pool was clean and towels are provided. We will stay here again

Everything was great about our stay. Rooms were clean. Had the “old” hotel room smell bust aside from that all in the room was good. Staff both and night and day were very nice and accommodating. Noise is a major compliant in other reviews. If you need silence, this is not the hotel for you..but really for being squished between two bars and restaurants the noise was not bad at all! View from front of hotel is beautiful and location couldn’t be more central for price. Parking cost $25 on (7/1). But let’s be real parking all over is $20+ in town. Great to park and stay as you visit historical downtown.

This is mostly about Best Western in general, if you book early and the rate goes down you can't change the rate. Not listed on ANY of their sites and so we got screwed for almost 400$! If you stay at Best Western ( which we won't anymore) beware! This hotel in St. Augustine is lovely, centrally located and full of great people but there are plenty of hotels here exactly the same and I'll be staying there from now on.

We came to St.Augustine for a mini getaway/staycation. As it was last minute, we were fine spending less on a room we wouldn’t be in much. The motel faces the water and is close to historic downtown. Our room, though small was clean, updated and surprisingly cold when we walked in. This was great since it was hot out. The noise many complained about was not an issue. We were not on the side against the side street…so maybe that factored in. They do have enough onsite parking for 1 vehicle per room. The fee paid guarantees our spot and they have workers around the clock to monitor and assist. We spent time in the pool which was clean and provided some chairs in the shade. The deck area is small but functional. All in all it was a nice stay and if we come back for a few days, would consider here again. This is not a Hyatt or Hilton, so please do not try to compare amenities. But it is remodeled, clean and the staff were all very friendly. I considered knocking off 1 star as it would be nice to have a continental breakfast. But we know this going in..
Jonda C — Google review
The rooms are very small for the price we paid. There was a big gap under the door to our room. It is a great location but when we walked around historic downtown, we didn't feel safe. Many homeless sitting around or walking around talking to themselves. Saw a fight. Just not a safe feeling. Never saw local police walking the area. Seems like they would with being so close to the college.
Chari W — Google review
Worst night of my life. From the start the is was bad. Check in was so robotic. The girl at the desk never made eye contact with us, smiled or spoke to us other than to ask or answer the necessary questions. Room was ok but even though there was an open parking space right in front of my room, I was not allowed to park there. I was made to park across the parking lot. Bed mattress was very old and I could feel every spring. AC would come on and off ever few seconds, yes seconds. It was very loud so definitely kept waking me up throughout the 4 hours of sleep I got. Yes in is very close to everything and there is a Jazz club directly behind the motel that doesn't close till 2am and for some reason sound magnified through the AC unit. Best part was even though it was a non smoking room, somehow there was a very strong smell of cigar.

The best thing about this place is where it sits. You can park your car and not move it again until you leave. The rooms are better than they used to be. The staff is courteous at best.

City Gate Spirits is a distillery located near the City Gates of St. Augustine, offering small-batch liquors that capture the essence of Florida. Their range includes smooth moonshines and tropical rums, with standout flavors like Pineapple Rum, Apple Pie Moonshine, and Salted Caramel Whiskey.
Amazing experience! Right in the middle of Saint Augustine, this place is charming, affordable and a lot of fun! The tasting is $5 which they give you back in a coupon voucher, which you can stack if you’re in a group. The tasting was very entertaining, we had a great bartender (Keely) who explained the different flavors in a fun way. I would say the experience is very memorable - a must if you’re in the area and want to try something new. We tried other wine/spirit tastings in the area and I would say this was my favorite by far, mostly for the fun factor. Both in the staff and the playfulness of the mixes. 10/10 would repeat!

I love this place! They have a very low cost spirit tasting. I've been here 3 times to show my friends and family and Vera has been an amazing guide to show us the amazing whiskeys, rums and moonshines this brewery provides. Everything made in house. I recommend this to any adult who enjoys adult beverages and wants to have a fun time.

Awesome experience! We LOVED every minute of our tasting! Our bartender was so kind, friendly and had a good personality which made it fun! The tasting is $5, but they give you a $5 off coupon for their store so it’s essentially free. They also have super cute stickers in the gift shop that an employee designs himself. We will be doing this again next time we’re in town!
Rachel B — Google review
We had a super fun experience! Shoutout to Vera, our bartender! It was just $5 tastings and we got to taste 10 different liquors. 5 in-house whiskeys, 1 rum and 4 moonshines. My personal favorites were salted caramel whiskey, orange cream moonshine and the ‘surprise’ one in the end 😬

We did the $5 per person tasting and we had the most wonderful host Keeley! She made the tour energetic, informative, and so much fun it BLEW my mind we were getting all this value for only $5. This is a MUST for everyone planning a trip to St.Augustine! The attached picture is the bar where the tastings are held at!

We recently visited St. Augustine and the City Gate Distillery. I wasn't looking for a tasting, but rather a good souvenir. The peach whiskey caught my eye and they were very sweet to offer me a tiny taste. It was delicous! It's the perfect summer evening whiskey. Bought a bottle and glass to bring back to our cabinet on the gulf coast. I highly recommend checking out City Gate Spirits.

Shout out to Jillian for the amazing presentation - each spirit was discussed & I absolutely love the cocktail recipe suggestions! I highly recommend The Coconut Rum, Apple Pie Moonshine, & Peach Whiskey... but my heart goes to the Mango Datil Whiskey & my wallet went to the Apple Pie mixer, lol. Cheers!

We are from Orlando so we come to St Augustine quite often but we have only been here once before. This is the best distillery in St Augustine we even like it better than the ones in TN. El served us and she was amazing. Not only was she knowledgeable about all the spirits she had so many great ideas on fun drinks to make with them. She was so fun, friendly, entertaining and just a joy to talk to. Thank you El we will definitely be back bc of you

Nestled alongside the picturesque San Sebastian River, The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel offers a serene retreat with its charming and laid-back atmosphere. Guests can unwind in cozy rooms adorned in soothing pastel shades or take a refreshing dip in the kidney-shaped outdoor pool, complete with a relaxing hot tub nearby. This delightful hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of historic attractions like Castillo de San Marcos and the Potters Wax Museum, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
I have been here before. I do not regret coming back. Mike L. Was very attentive. Hotel is a 20 minute walk from Castillo San Marcos saving you $20.00. Keeping away from so much tourist cluster, makes me happy to leave my car parked. Floors are tiled (I detest carpet). The pool is clean. There are train tracks that run along the back (there is a train) no big deal. There is a marsh beyond. There is a deck with chairs and tables. Enjoyed having my cup of coffee with nature. Room attendant was polite, room was nice. Will definitely return

I recently checked in for a lengthy stay of 11 days. The front desk person was polite, etc. I declared my service animal, which was noted on my itinerary. Ok. So when we made it into the room I noticed several things were broken and in disrepair, which I reported to the front desk. To top it off, the room was so full of mold that the smell was overwhelming. The following day, a woman came to my room, and very rudely said she was there to check on the broken item. My service animal is trained to alert, as I have C-PTSD. So when she perceives a valid threat, or some one that’s energy is aggressive, she will alert with out stopping until they retreat. When this woman came to my room, that’s exactly what my dog did. So, I was asked to put my service animal, whose leash I would otherwise be holding, in the bathroom. After which, she did not fix the broken item, nor did she facilitate me switching to another room. At which point, I requested a refund through Hotels.com (who has awesome customer service.) and checked out. When I received the receipt, there was a nightly charge for my svc animal. I called to hotel, and Joel (very polite) told me that his manager requested that he charge me for my svc animal because had to put her in the bathroom, and she declared it wasn’t a service animal. Even though she asked me to put her in the bathroom. I don’t know the woman’s name. Blonde. Rude. Poor customer service. Now I’m off to take my son to urgent care, because he has developed a respiratory infection after being there for 2 nights. We were in room 132. Full of mold. And many broken items. Will not be staying there again. I give 1 star only because front desk people were professional and polite.

If you are looking for a good place to stay while in St. Augustine, we can not recommend The Ponce enough. We recently took our first family vacation and stayed the weekend at the Ponce. On a basic level the hotel is perfect! It’s within 4-5 minutes of almost everything which made the entire experience so much more convenient. They have their own restaurant within the hotel as well which was such a nice accommodation. A lot of the places in the area are extremely busy with long wait times and difficult parking. Having the restaurant in the hotel made dining stress free. The restaurant is DELICIOUS. Our food was good quality food with excellent service. It was a semi-casual environment and it even has a full bar!! The pool is huge and completely enclosed with a privacy fence so you don’t have to worry about spectators. They have two “cabana” style structures on the pool deck and tables and chairs for comfort. They also have a super cozy couch set up with a Fire-pit coffee table in the middle for night time, and a hot tub! Our family really loved this amenity especially since it’s a smaller sized hotel so we were not overwhelmed by guests at the pool and were able to actually enjoy family time together. Now that….is just the basics. The best part about this hotel by far is the team that runs it !! When I say that they created a once in a lifetime experience for us….there is ZERO exaggeration there. The team at the Ponce worked hard to create a custom experience full of core memories for our family. They were in regular contact with us for days leading up to our trip. They hung personalized banners in our room with balloons and cards to help us celebrate our first family vacation and they took every opportunity possible to personalize our experience. Our room was incredibly clean and had EVERY amenity we could have asked for. For our family this was so much more than just a weekend trip….and we couldn’t have done that without the Ponce. If you are considering where to stay for your trip, we can not recommend The Ponce enough !! We will absolutely be back every year for our annual family vacation and we will continue to patron The Ponce. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a truly incredible experience and a core memory for a lifetime. Our family is forever grateful to your team for all your hard work and care. This right here is a hotel that is run by compassionate and hard working people who have your family in mind throughout your entire stay. What more could you ask for ??

The location is great. The man who checked us in was good. We checked in the we were gone most of the day. We returned around 9:30pm to unpack and shower only to realize the room was not very clean. Some area are absolutely disgusting and appear to not have been cleaned at all. Went down to the front desk to ask for someone to come clean and was asked by the night shift guy “what do you want me to do about it?” Asked him to have someone come clean so we can shower and was told there is no one at night and they can’t change my room before hotel is fully booked. So now, I am stuck in this dirty room with my teen kid late at night and we can’t even shower. Will not ever return or recommend this hotel. And I visit St Augustine often.

Hotel is in a great location, close to everything. It was only a 5 minute drive to the parking garage to go walking around Spanish street. The room was very clean, I loved the ice machine on the counter. On the back side of the hotel are train tracks. It was cool watching the cars go by. Also a beautiful view of the sunset on the backside of the hotel. They have an area where you can even sit and relax. Prices were very reasonable.
Kelly B — Google review
We were a little worried when we pulled up to the building. It's quite worn compared to the photos. A paint job will do wonders for first impressions. All that said the room was updated and I was happy to see beautiful tiled flooring. The bathtub was really slippery so I put the bath mat in it but other than that the room was nice. The location is close enough to everything. Note to self. Next time request room in front or poolside to avoid the vibration and noise from the freight train that runs out back several times during the night. Other than that our experience was pleasant and big plus for the pet friendly as well.

Absolutely loved our stay! The staff was amazing...especially Mikel. It may be one of the older hotels, but revamped very nicely, clean, close to everything, shuttle and trolley service right next door, restaurant inside was very good. Highly friendly and extremely customer friendly. Will stay again and Mikel made the experience even better with his kindness and thoughtful texts while we were there to make sure that we were doing well. Excellent!

This motel is situated in the city of St. Augustine and offers guests an outdoor pool with views of the river. It also features free wifi, private parking and air conditioning in each room.
The rooms are very clean and the location is across from the river. You're able to sit outside by your room. Close by to the bridge you can see the pirate ship and other ones you can reserve and it's in walking distance. With the historic downtown area nearby. Beds are firm and a/c works wonders on hot days. I'm sure that I will be returning here. Oh and there is a $20.00 plus tax to park at this location. Which I think should be free while staying at this location.

The room was very nice for an older place. This was more than I expected for a motor lodge. They clearly want their guest to be comfortable and feel at home. Great little spot. The only reason for 4 stars was because some things were a little run down, like the railings.

This is a clean and quiet motel in the strategic location of the historic city of St Augustine. Waterfront view is breathtaking. Walking distance to many must-see attractions. The building and decor are a bit dated, but the convenience, cleanliness, and courteous staff have more than made up those shortcomings. And the price is reasonable, even attractive.

Hands down the cleanest room I've stayed in! The water pressure is amazing. The newly renovated interior is very nicely done. I would have given 5 stars except the mattress and pillows were horrible. Location is great. Trolley stop right next door. Intercoastal across the street and historic downtown is a short walk down the street. Will be back again.

Pillows were horrible. Glad we only booked for 2 nights. My neck was pretty bad. It was an older hotel but it was renovated. Shower didn’t drain and was filling up. The bed had some trim in it that gave me a bruise above my knee every time I walked around it to get to the bathroom especially with rooms being tight. There was nowhere to hang up anything in the bathroom such as a wet towel. Floor always felt like stuff was on it I recommend a rug for entry. But great location and it is across from the marina.

We stayed in the deluxe king room. Room was spacious and very clean. Loved that they had hard wood floor. Bed was comfortable. Sink was on outside of shower and toilet. Just wished they had a hook in shower room. This lodge is in a very good location. Many restaurants near by and walking distance to everything. I would definitely stay there again.

Pros: 1.The room is renovated. 2.The interior is looking good and fresh. 3. Room has microwave, fridge, TV, nice shower pressure and water temperature. Cons: 1. The A/C sounds like the airplane’s engine starting. Needless to say unless you are absolutely exhausted and knocked out you will have trouble sleeping. 2. Pillows are not comfortable. 3.If you stay on the first floor you will hear people coming up to the second floor, with the screeching stairs, of course. Overall: good location, fresh room. the rest depends on how good your nervous system can take it 😀

The historic inn is named after Don Manuel Lorenzo Solana, one of the first Spaniards to land in St. Augustine, and boasts 10 individually designed rooms with period furnishings.
Fabulous bed and breakfast! Gorgeous rooms with every amenity one can think of: plush towels, deluxe bedding, bathrobes and a whirlpool bath. Beautiful setting in the historic area of St. Augustine with a beautiful garden and seating area. Breakfast was amazing with a savory item to start (a delicious egg and sausage souffle) and a breakfast dessert! It was a puff pastry filled with vanilla custard and multiple berries.

We cannot say enough good things about Casa De Solana. Quick check in and out. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, made it so nice to be able to walk around, see the sights and enjoy ourselves. The staff, Oliver, was welcoming and so helpful. The breakfast each day was delicious and in a charming atmosphere. The parking is off sight, but a 5 minute walk. There's a loading and unloading area to park. We stayed in a room on the second floor. It was clean, comfortable and lovely. Great water pressure and nice hot water too. Homemade cookies, yum. We definitely would recommend this bed and breakfast, and cannot wait to come back to dt Augustine.

Located in historic St Augustine, walking distance to many historic sites, shops, and restaurants. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Presentation, presentation, presentation. From the dining room, sitting room, outside sitting area, rooms, and breakfast, everything was wonderful, and looked beautiful. The afternoon social hour was plentiful with wine, water, soft drinks, fresh fruit, meat, cheese and crackers. There was a nice place for our group of 9 to gather. Oliver was attentive and accommodating. Very pleasant. Jenny the chef, provided great service and great food. The presentation was excellent and the taste better. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences of our group. Jenny offered recipes. She greater each guest to ensure our needs were met.

We eloped this past weekend at Casa de Solana and it exceeded our expectations tenfold. We had already booked an airbnb for our 5 year anniversary but we decided to elope last minute. So we found Casa de Solana with a quick google search. The have a ton of different packages available and don't require you to also book a room. Many of the places we looked at required a stay of at least 2 nights to elope there. If we hadn't already had the airbnb booked and passed the cancellation period, we would have gone that route. Jonathan was so accommodating and even threw in a small cake (which wasn't included in the package we picked). They decorated the area so perfectly. It was so intimate and special. The officiant was AMAZING. Her vows were SO good and not religious or spiritual, although I'm sure she could make them so if you wish. They were perfect for us. We also read our own vows and she let us be a little unorthodox. It was just all so perfect and unique to our relationship. We've already decided we're coming back to Casa de Solana for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Absolutely recommend this beautiful, historic bed and breakfast <3

The room was beautiful, the food was delicious, we really appreciated the 24/7 access to a variety of cold beverages and hot coffee during the day, and it was a super easy check in/check out process. The location was also top notch. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the owners and staff for such a perfect honeymoon experience!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and we already can’t wait to go back! The food was delicious, the rooms were clean and cozy, and it is located within walking distance of so many shops and restaurants! The owner was so friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend!

A Wonderful First B&B Experience at Casa De Solona! This was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and Casa De Solona set the bar high! We stayed in the Minorcan Suite on the first floor, and it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning and prepared with such care. The location is perfect: tucked away and quiet, yet close to everything we wanted to explore. Parking was off-site about three blocks away, but it was close, validated, and easy to manage. The unloading/loading zone right in front of the inn was convenient and made arrival & departure simple. The hosts went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference. We highly recommend Casa De Solona to anyone visiting the area and look forward to coming back!

Discover the eerie and mysterious history of St. Augustine with Ghost Tours of St. Augustine, a thrilling nighttime adventure that takes you through the old downtown area and city streets in the dark. Led by costumed guides with lanterns, this award-winning tour company shares exclusive stories and secrets from historical libraries, church documents, diaries, and interviews.
Just took the Ghosts & Gravestones tour in St Augustine. What a great activity! We had previously done the day time trolley tour. And opted for the Ghosts this trip. Dana, our tour leader, did a great job. Really adding to the ambiance and experience. The tour was not rushed but moved along at a good pace and made for a great after dinner activity. Jessie our guide at the jail was also awesome! Highly recommend!

Went online to purchase tickets and added the jail tour. They charged my credit card but never sent the tickets. I called them this morning to ask them about the tickets and they said " call your credit card company we have no way to look it up." Take one of the other tours unless you want to waste time on hold with your credit card company.

I did the lantern ghost walk had a great time. Loved the history behind the spots we visited. The guild answered everyone questions and had additional information on each location.

Fun taking lots of pictures and looking for ghosts. Short visit to wax museum and old prison. Graveyard had good lighting for pictures. Using a flash in the prison made the photos turn out extra creepy.

We took the Creepy Crawley Haunted Pub tour and had the best time! Our tour guide, Danny, was lots of fun and we learned a lot about the history of St. Augustine in addition to the ghost stories. The tour also took us to some really neat pubs we wouldn’t have found otherwise. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique evening activity in St. Augustine!

Fun and cheesy at the same time. We had fun.

If you got other tour around the town, my advice not waist your time on this one. Bouring, they could come up with something better.

Great tour to go to some of the sites in St. Augustine. Divine was very knowledgeable of the history and made for entertainment. The old jail house stop can make you jump as it is dark and cramped at night. The dark history of the city is told well by the actors and guides. I cannot give this 5 stars unfortunately as I felt the cost of $42 was a bit on the steep side.
