Tomoka State Park is a popular destination for camping, boating, fishing, and bird-watching. It offers access to rivers and streams and is located near other attractions like Addison Blockhouse State Park and Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park. The park is nestled along the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail, providing a scenic drive with native wildlife and unique vegetation.
A beautiful, truly Florida experience! Our camping site was shaded and close to several very clean comfort stations. The camp store was well stocked, and the gentleman running it was friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. There were several riverfront beaches to explore!

A nice park for a walk, plenty of bird life to see. Got there late morning and still wasn't to busy. It was good to have the store in the park and able to get water in the heat of the day. Hopefully be back next year to see the bits I missed.
William R — Google review
We camped here for our anniversary and had the best time! Loved having such friendly and accommodating people on staff. The first day we were there, we had a water issue in the site and they were able to move us to another spot. Camping spots are spacious and have all accommodations. The showers/bath houses were very clean! We also decided to kayak on the river & loved our experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff at the Outpost. Love this park, to stay or to visit, it's a gem! Lots of wildlife to be seen here.
Alex C — Google review
The campground is very nice. They really try to provide fun group activities to cultivate a community feel. The camp host, JT was welcoming and friendly. The restrooms and showers are older but well maintained and clean. The sites are pretty level although for bigger rigs, some would be impossible and others very challenging to to get into. I had site 43, it would be one of the harder ones to get into due to a fence around the bathroom right in front of the site. Also, that bathroom right in front my site was down for our entire trip, we had to drive to shower at night as it was a hike to the next closest bathroom.
Priscilla B — Google review
Great campsite for smaller trailers and tents. The rangers were wonderful and so informative. Nice short trails with ample shade. Fantastic spot for kayaking but pay attention to the tides and winds!
Connie M — Google review
This park is super quiet with the exception of a random vehicle on the main road that skirts the park. The staff is friendly and made several passes by the campsite every day. The campground roads are dirt but wide and maintained. The sites varies from tent size only to some pull throughs. Most sights are large enough for our 30 foot TT. There are no full hook up sights but water and 30 amp service is at every one. The dump station is at the entrance, updated and clean. The road to the “Tamoka Outpost” is paved. There you will find all your camping needs, kayak rentals, snacks and drinks. They even have their own beer on tap. This is one of our favorite parks in FL. You would never know that shopping and dining are less than15 minutes away.
Jess S — Google review
This park is awesome. We only saw four people and a turtle when we went. There were informative signs and a really cool statue. It costs five bucks to get in. Dog friendly.

Nestled along the picturesque Riverside Drive, The Casements stands as a testament to history and culture, once serving as the winter retreat for the renowned philanthropist John D. Rockefeller. This charming cultural center is celebrated for its exquisite hand-carved windows and is proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can explore the Rockefeller Period Room, which showcases memorabilia from both Boy Scouts of America and Hungarian festivals, offering a glimpse into diverse historical narratives.
I was surprised to see the number of ongoing classes & events held here as well as a lovely art gallery that has rotating exhibits. You can use an app to tour the house but I highly recommend touring with one of the docents. I did a Saturday tour with Jade and it was terrific -- she was very knowledgeable, had many stories to tell, and was always open to questions. A great look at another time period in Ormand Beach.
Judy G — Google review
A visit to Ormond Beach just would not be right without a visit to the Casements. Our group of four were in the area and we convinced them it is a must see. My wife and I had been there about ten years earlier and really enjoyed it. So on a beautiful early November day we made a visit. Still very impressive with the times opulence, it was a refreshing view of history in the areas. Rooms, offices, kitchen, library, etc. One remodeled large room had pictures from the early days of racing on the beach. Paintings, sculptures, desks, an elegant coffee server. It was all very fascinating to see. Also pictures of a disastrous fire that occurred there, and has been fully restored. The tour takes about 30-35 minutes, depending on how many questions you might have. The docent was very well versed on all the aspects of the home and the history. Hard to imagine being the richest man in America and being able to live in this fine house in the Winter. After the tour, I made a donation to the Historical Society thar do the excellent tours. And my wife made a separate donation by purchasing a necklace from the gift shop.

A very pleasant & knowlegeable team welcomed us in just an hour before closing and helped us make the most of our short visit to this JD Rockefeller mansion preserved by the City of Ormand Beach.
David F — Google review
Very nice tour guide named Paula took us through all the rich history of the city of Ormond Beach, the Rockefeller family, the Flagler story and Vanderbilt family. This was Rockefeller’s summer home in his prime. Definitely worth the visit. The walk through was about an hour long.

TheFEEL, standing in the wings readying to perform at the Casements. What a gorgeous room to be in, so many different settings emerge under one roof. Magical friendliness fills the air. A great place to be.
Jeff L — Google review
Lydia was an amazing tour guide. The Rockefeller and Flagler history was amazing. The location on the river has great views. Free parking in the lot next door. Street parking is also available. The decor of the home was amazing. You can only see half of the second floor and the third floor if you are on the tour. The tour is free but a donation is customary. The house is owned by the city.

Non-profit organization
Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens is a serene and inspiring destination in Ormond Beach, offering a blend of art and nature. The museum showcases works by local and national artists, while the landscaped memorial garden pays tribute to World War veterans. Open daily, the garden provides a peaceful retreat for visitors from dawn till dusk. Admission to the indoor art museum is free, with donations supporting the maintenance of the grounds and the mission of providing a welcoming venue for local artists.
Many sculptures inside and out, very walkable trails w/stairs, bridges and plenty of benches. Not very large and that may not be a bad thing. Take your time through the trails and you will find there is a lot of up and down that may tire you on a hot day. Enjoyable stops throughout, may have an overpopulation of turtles. Still, was cute to see the tiny ones swimming around. Entry is free, they run on donations and what they do sell in their gift shop is reasonably priced. Definitely add to your list and check out for yourself for a quick or reflective visit!

Visited the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens today and I’m absolutely enchanted! The gardens are a magical oasis, with adorable turtles, singing bamboo, and a serene vibe that feels like a cool escape even in 30°C /88 F heat. The tropical plants, waterfall, and butterfly areas are pure delight. The Free Little Art Gallery was such a charming touch! The museum itself is a gem, showcasing beautiful artwork and a warm community spirit. Highly recommend this hidden treasure for anyone seeking art, nature, and tranquility. Will definitely return!

Loved this museum and gardens so much..not big comparing some of the other gardens we been to but really amazing to see the beauty of the gardens and the paintings in the museum..lot of parking available, well maintained, clean bathrooms, great collection of plants and trees, lovely turtle pond, awesome waterfall, and no admission fees. We would love to visit again in the future.

Beautiful museum inside and out.I Ioved the local featured artist exhibits. There's a gift shop inside, museum is free but donations are accepted. Free parking available also. I went during high peak of the sun but walking around outside wasn't too bad with all the shade and trees. There's a beautiful waterfall here and even saw some turtles enjoying the sun.
Ashley S — Google review
Small museum which showcases one artist. The gardens are lovely and have water pumped through ravines, there are man-made Hills and stair. Some beautiful trees and many flowers. It is a great place for a wedding.
Cheryl B — Google review
The little botanical garden area outside was beautiful! The FEW paintings I did get to see where gorgeous! However there was only 1 room with maybe up to 10 paintings in open and that was it. This was not something I saw on their website. Had i known a huge part of the museum was closed because of the exhibit change in might have not gone until it was reopen.

Amazing variety of trees bushes flowers. Must go when the sun is shining to see over 100 turtles getting some sun

Great quiet spot to enjoy the beach and the lovely weather. There's tons of seats with shade so even on hot days you'll be fine. Very clean and well kept. A great spot to relax. Also if you have kids there's a splash pool and playground for them to enjoy.

Great family friendly park with a very cool water feature for small kids to cool off. Theres a concession stand that serves great wings and pizza. No need to drag cooler. Direct access to the beach if interested. There always seems to be a great vibe here with lots of people enjoying themselves.

First time visit. Nice park. Dogs loved it. Only.about half mile long, better than nothing though. Recently passed acceptance of dogs on beach here. Vilano beach (just above St Augustine) still our favorite. I didn't like that Beach Patrol drove right past 2 vehiclel parked past designated area. Beyond the posts. Good thing the sea turtles iare not nesting in this area.

I go to this park to watch the Full Moon rise every month with the rest of the community and walk the beach early mornings. It's a great Park to visit. One of my favorites.

Easy to find parking here. It is a fun and beautiful beach. You will not be disappointed. The splash zone area is a blast.

This is just a nice Beachside park with a splash pad and ample picnic areas. Only downsides are limited parking and the ramp got washed away so you have to take the stairs so it's tough with a wagon but we love coming here either way
Ryan D — Google review
This is a lovely Beachfront Park with ample parking and facilities for Ormond Beach residents and visitors. There is a splash pad, play area, picnic tables a snack bar and rest rooms. There is some construction going on as of 9/2025 that has reduced the availability of parking spaces but there still are plenty.

Beautiful and peaceful drive with amazing views of nature. Perfect for a relaxing ride or walk! 🌿

We drove the Ormond Scenic Loop Trail just to take in the sights, but honestly, it wasn’t much different from the rest of the Florida scenery. Considering we went out of our way to see it, it felt a bit underwhelming. That said, if you're looking for a peaceful spot to bike, jog, or get outdoors away from the city, this would be a nice option. Probably better experienced on foot or by bike rather than just driving through.
Miled N — Google review
Beautiful park. Sometimes you can catch a view of the dolphins in the water. Love that it has camping, boating and kayaking available for visitors. It’s $4 to get into the park itself. It’s called Tamoca

Ormond Brewing Company is located in the Daytona Beach area, which is known for its iconic beaches and rich auto racing history. The brewery offers a dog-friendly dining option where visitors can enjoy delicious food and a variety of beverages. The area also boasts upscale lodging, vibrant arts scene, and an amazing collection of parks and outdoor activities, making it a year-round destination for travelers. Ormond Brewing Company provides a lively atmosphere with great beer options and tasty menu items like cheesecake and Loko Moko.
Found this hidden gem while we were visiting Ormond Beach during the coldest days of January. Beer, food & staff were all excellent. The place doesn’t look like much on the outside, but inside was cozy and the chairs were comfy. We even got to hang out with Tomcat, the chillest brewery cat we’ve ever encountered. Brought a few stickers home and put one up in our favorite beer place in Virginia Beach. We’ll definitely visit again the next time we’re in the area.
Kimberly C — Google review
Great brewery with excellent beers and ciders! This spot is a bit off the beaten path, which added to its charm. We tried a variety of beer styles along with a good mix of food. The cheese curds were a definite standout—crispy, fresh, and exactly what you'd hope for. The award-winning M/C burger lived up to its reputation—cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the fries. We also ordered the pretzels, which were initially overdone, but the staff quickly remade them, and the second batch was a great way to end our visit. Friendly service, quality food and drinks, and a relaxed vibe makes this place it a worth while visit!

Talk about an incredible evolution ! This place has really come into its own and continues to get better and better every year! From the addition of the full kitchen to the ever changing beer and seltzer options, you are sure to find something for everyone! Pet friendly, kid friendly, live music, a fire pit, indoor seating, outdoor seating, tons of game options, sports on all the TVs and don’t get me started on the smash burgers & cheesecake!! This place really does a great job of making you feel welcome and leaves you full and happy!

Daytona Lagoon is a family-friendly water park and entertainment center located just north of the pier area and steps from the beach. It offers a variety of attractions, including go-karts, mini-golf, an arcade, laser tag, and a climbing wall. The Speedway Indoor Karting features state-of-the-art electric-powered karts on a 16-turn road course with multiple elevation changes. In 2019, Daytona Lagoon completed $1.
I had a wonderful time at Daytona Lagoon, which offers something for all ages. My daughter particularly enjoyed the lazy river and the kids' area. I felt completely safe knowing that the lifeguards were keeping a close eye on all the children. The amusement park has done an excellent job training them. We hardly had to wait long for the water park rides. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to plan a trip to go back.
Britany T — Google review
Daytona Lagoon was a highlight of our trip to Daytona! My son raced down the thrill slides while my daughter floated along the lazy river—there truly was something for each of them. I liked that when it got too hot, we could step inside to play arcade games and cool off. Between the water slides, wave pool, and indoor fun, we easily spent the whole afternoon here.
Paula B — Google review
Fun day for ask. Lots of stuff to do. The pools, slides, lazy river, kids park, go carts are all a bunch of fun. I little bit slow on the slides but not terrible. Food was so so. Ran out of chicken fingers. At 1pm? Really? Drinks are expensive. Everything cost. Shady places cost extra. Get ready to spend some money. Other than that, the place is great for everyone. We will return.

I'm so mad we drive to Disney for a days and this was DOWN THE STREET from us. And guess what, it was better than Disney. We had a blast and the food was good. We will definitely go back the next vacation

Very fun and worth the money for an annual pass. Long lines today. All day meal plan is worth it. The website says that gift cards are available and you get a five-dollar bonus for purchasing 30. It says 404 the website is not working.
Matthew T — Google review
The slides were fun, but some of them were slow. There is one however, that go bullet speed it’s pitch black and you get shot out, I saw multiple people needing assistance from the lifeguard after the slide. Also the food made me painfully parched. You can avoid the waiting if you get there early. Over all I enjoyed myself.
Liv B — Google review
We went here for my son’s 13th Bday with several of his friends to use the twilight pass. It’s an all inclusive dry pass to use until close after 6pm. We didn’t know the laser tag was shut down due to their being a haunted house. (Which is better anyways at their age) Usually the Haunted house would have been $10 per person which for us would’ve been over $100 for one walk thru! But the manager Bianca was so professional and accommodating to us! Understanding how large our group was she was like our own personal concierge making sure we all had the best experience! And she was the only person I’ve ever seen in all my yrs go-karting actually check for safety well each time. Also, a worker named Nyasia was helping the kids on the rock wall and she was so sweet! She helped all of the kids and allowed them to play until the last minute of closing time! So thank you ladies for a great night!
France I — Google review
Daytona Lagoon is a great spot for affordable family fun! The ticket prices are very reasonable, especially considering everything you get access to. There's a good mix of attractions for both kids and adults, and it's easy to see why the place stays busy during the season. That said, some of the water slides are definitely showing their age. There’s visible rust in a few areas that, while probably harmless and not a safety issue, still makes you a little uneasy when you’re climbing the stairs or about to ride. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s surprising to see considering how many visitors the park must bring in yearly thanks to its value pricing. All in all, it's a fun day out and feels safe, but a little reinvestment into slide maintenance or aesthetics would go a long way toward making the park feel as great as it could be, or possibly was, once upon a time.

State park
Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park is a picturesque oceanfront site that showcases the ruins of a 19th-century plantation. The coquina rock ruin, once part of a cotton and sugar cane plantation owned by John Addison, offers a glimpse into the area's history. Although not open to the public, visitors can admire the exterior and capture great photos. The blockhouse, originally an outdoor kitchen to the plantation, was destroyed during the Second Seminole War.
Loved this place. The spiritual energy is just incredible
PB B — Google review
This is sort of misleading, although the area is protected as a state park, there really isn't a "park" to visit. Alot of the pictures show the loop road which is beautiful but goes no where near the historic ruins, or they show the fishing pond at the residential Ormond lakes housing development which is loosely a good place to park IF one wanted to hike out to the ruins. There is NO official parking or trail head that goes to the ruins. There is an over grown service road for like firetrucks in case of a forest fire, that goes generally in the direction of the ruins but the ruins themselves are buried in underbrush and unkept, and crumbling from multiple hurricanes with no state funding to protect them. (The one picture of the ruins that looks mildly interesting is probably about 10 years old. I last saw the ruins about 5 or 6 years ago and you could hardly see the brick work through the vines) The Ormond lakes housing development couldn't extend into the woods once the ruins were discovered but since then it's been crumbling not too much left to see. The last time my family (who lives in the development) managed to locate the trail and find the ruins, it was buried in underbrush covered in snakes (they like to bask on the hot stones) and we returned home with literally hundreds of ticks buried into the fabric weaves of our Jeans and vowed never to return. This journey is for serious hikers, it's a machete your way through the underbrush type hike, with enough deat to bathe in, long pants, long sleved shirts, no trail, no map, (literally GPS location available, map & compass style NO TRAIL) and possible run-ins with wild boar, deer, turkeys, fox/coyotes (no ones sure which) swamp land if you make a wrong turn or go during a rainy season, which could mean gators. Also bob cats, Florida panthers and Reese monkeys have been spotted occasionally in people's back yards of the development that butt up against the forest. And of course Hundreds of smaller threats like MISQUITOS, TICKS, SPIDERS AND SNAKES! I cannot stress these enough

Ormond lakes subdivisions greed has stole this history from us.Its a state park with a state park sign once you get out there. Its a tough hike thru swamp. The orginal dirt road that was once easy to use is now blocked by that development. Surprised the state, county, or city didn't try to save it.

Terrible. Whole entrance is blocked by a subdivision. The entrance is blocked by a big yellow house, no way into the area without trespassing.

Love this place. The wife and I enjoy concerts here during the summer series. Love the bars that they have coming in. Great place for free concert!!!!
Adventures J — Google review
We went to see the Def Leppard & AC/DC tribute band concert. I went with 2 other couples. I’m giving 5 stars for the beautiful night & the actual "bandshell" monument itself. The 2 stars go to the bands themselves & their sound system. What an insult to the actual bands they supposedly represent. The lead singer of Def Leppard (Joe Elliot wannabe) said that they’d been doing this gig for 18 years!! He had to have been joking! 18 years & he doesn’t know the lyrics? The sound system was abysmal for the music & when they talked to the crowd. What band worth their salt doesn’t perform a sound check before performing?! And to the AC/DC band, same thing. The lyrics were either wrong or forgotten. Sound system was abysmal. The lead singer was trying to imitate Brian Johnson so bad (current lead singer of AC/DC), that I thought he was gonna strain himself with his poorly executed imitation of Brian. If that’s what they want to do, fine by me but make it a show worth leaving your house for! The Angus Young lead guitarist wannabe was good imitating Angus but he didn’t play a fat Strat & this guy was at least a foot taller than Angus! Angus can work that fat Strat all day long like it’s nobody’s biz!! Where was the Mal wannabe?? He was essential to the band, writing music, playing rhythm guitar & the band’s direction. The ppl working for the bandshell were walking around with a "donation" bucket. Luckily, they walked right past me, as I was reading a book. If I had paid to get into this show, I’d be demanding my money back, it was THAT awful. The video presentation on the stage was so light that you couldn’t see it. The only other one off to the left, was barely any better. Why not adjust the contrast? WHO set this show up? Ray & Stevie are both blind & I KNOW they’d do a better job than this!! And the fireworks show afterwards?? WHY did they shoot them off behind us instead of right over the bandshell or at least in front of us where we were facing?? Someone needs to think about the presentation… and the palm trees behind us? They looked raggedy & definitely needed a trim to showcase the fireworks & their beauty. It’s not like the city of Daytona is broke & can’t afford to trim trees although by the looks of their roads, it’s debatable. And their disgusting port-a-potties? That’s an experience they don’t have to worry about me ever repeating that’s for sure…
Rhonda C — Google review
Fun place to hang out with my brother. We both grew up near the band shell and performed on stage nearly 60 years ago. Wow-how is that possible. How did we get to be this old. Anyway, it was a great trip down memory lane for us. It looks like the area is family friendly too.

A class act, we love the free concerts. They are organized, the food and beverages were reasonably priced . Security was present but not the fun police. A great highlight to any vacation.

Even when it’s not hosting events… it’s such a beautiful place to take a nice relaxing walk by the water and under the bridge. Most of the photos I will show are of events and if you’re considering having one, this place is perfect! The Celtic Festival was amazing in April as you will see in my photos.

I first visited this park six years ago after hurricane arm, devastated the area the park was a total disarray, and the boardwalk out to the river was closed. It was a mess, a place I would never have recommended. Took me six years to return to this park, and wow what a transformation. It is really an absolutely gorgeous park. It’s small but it packs a lot great photo opportunity. If you get the chance and you’re in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you take the walk out onto the boardwalk to the gazebo on the river, it’s absolutely amazing and I absolutely have a passion for old churches. The fact that this church was preserved is great for the city, although I would’ve preferred to be left at the graveyard.

. It's a small park. It has a house-like historic building in the middle of it. A plaque mentions something about a Christian wedding held there. Towards the back, it has a long pier. I saw some people fishing from it. The fishing pier was a nice place to photograph and view the water. . . . This little park has beautiful flowers and trees arranged around. It is a great place just to sit and relax. You can find plenty of benches all around. I enjoyed very much visiting this lovely park.

OMG, Mark and I had sooo much fun walking around the Ormond Beach bridge. THE Ormond Beach public art, (Public Art imitates life) from the Seward Johnson sculptor tour. This exhibit started November 2024 through April 2025 We missed 3 more sculptures because we were so tired after running around and running in and out of The car. We will continue to show you the last 3 asap. This is A must for locals and tourists also. In the brochure is a map where you can find them. We live in Ormond by the Sea so we started at the corner of A1A and and East Granada boulevard and worked our way down to the bridge. I can continue more when I update this review. I picked up my brochure and map at the post office. You would have to look on the map or scan the ??? I forgot what it's called) below scanner?) Anyway, I don't know where other brochures are so you can Google it. I will update this post as soon as I do the last 3 statues. Oh the window washer at the Granada? Shopping center, When we took pictures of the window washer) I couldn't find the photo of the window washer. A book that reads the movie rear window with James and Grace. Kelly. ( Love that movie you have to watch it) Furthermore, if any of these sponsors read my reviews, in my review(s) there are too many to list) Thank you for this amazing exhibit for The locals and tourists. Oh, The clothing on these statues look so real, I had to get up close to feel them.

Ormond Lanes is a vibrant bowling alley located in the heart of Ormond Beach, offering an exciting escape from the outdoors, especially on less-than-ideal weather days. With 40 state-of-the-art computerized lanes and friendly staff ready to assist, it’s a fantastic spot for both seasoned bowlers and newcomers alike. The atmosphere buzzes with laughter and the sound of pins crashing as families gather for fun-filled outings or birthday celebrations—complete with discounts for larger groups.
I had a blast bowling with my family at Ormond Lanes last night! The facility is clean, and the lanes are well-maintained and updated. The staff was helpful and kind when handling our shoe sizes and raising the bumpers for the kids. Food and drinks are affordable. And the atmosphere was inviting and fun. The light show was impressive (cosmic bowling), and the music was just enough without being overbearing. I live in Palm Coast and will definitely make the drive to visit Ormond Lanes again soon. Fantastic experience! 💯

Decent. Could use an update and the equipment fails frequently. Super nice employees. Always have a good time. Wish drinks and such were cheaper….

I dont know his name bit the gentleman working the counter. 10/10/2025 was awesome. It was packed and yes a wait but he fit our big party in for a birthday. Baretenders and rest of staff also great.
Ricky H — Google review
Underwhelming. It is a older building and while I understand some things will always be less aesthetically pleasing in a place like this, other things you expect to be basic areas of focus in a bowling alley were lacking. Layout is strange with bar essentially sitting in the middle of the concourse as a walk up only type service. I understand with an older building potentially nothing you can do to correct that layout wise however, No wait stafff servicing the league is poor management. Our travel league bowlers were having to stand in line for the 1 employee making drinks for the 200+ bowlers delaying bowling. Food options were limited to the most basic of any bowling alley I have ever been and not executed well. Over priced for the portion. Again no wait staff for league event was a missed opportunity and would have improve customer satisfaction , and more over potentially increased your sales for food and alcohol. AC was horrible and while they tried to cool off inside with large fans it was still pretty uncomfortable to bowl. There is old stained carpet through out the building and poor use of space for sitting in bowlers circles let alone spectators. My biggest complaint is the poor approach up keep. They are old wooded approaches that need desperately to be sanded and treated. Visibly you can see the buildup of wear and tear that created a safety issue when trying to slide. The carpet throughout the house does not help the approach issues either. The center should at a minimum fix approaches. Then pull out carpet and replace with a laminate that can be cleaned easier when people spill drinks. Plus it will look nicer. Also replace the big clunky bench seats with a tables and chairs. I saw multiple people sitting there holding food and drink on laps. This bowling alley might be good for a kids birthday party or occasional novice bowler. It should not be hosting leagues and definitely no tournament level bowling.

Corrected our score not 1 not 2 but 3 games we played on lane 6. I can not express this enough when I say this place is old fashion cool yeah but malfunctions are 9/10 times on lane 6. If I wasn’t with family I would’ve refunded because how bad it was KEEPING TRACK OF OUR SCORES. The bare minimum. I don’t see how they’d run leagues here. Lane 8-9? Not sure but people close to us kept having to correct score! SHOCKER… update your bowling alley thanks. lol stop milking people 50$+ 2 n a half hours.. good rates but sheesh man feel like im in 1990’s…. Barely works and everything is MANUAL…. This place is strictly staying alive from people whoever been here ages ago cus this is just not okay or up to standard.. no instructions on how to fix lane when pins don’t RESET… I could go on and on.. just please either stay away from 1-10 or simply stick to your lanes that work lol

We had to leave because our baby has crying with the babysitter only played till 7 games and the nice lady Olivia let us get our money back cause we don’t get to play the full set. Thank you Olivia super nice lady!
Esther — Google review
Same temperature inside as it is outside. Party of 6 was hot. Food less than average. Drinks were good and bartender was nice. Had to keep fixing the scores because the pins recorded things incorrectly. Music was so quiet. Plenty of lanes open and they place people right on top of each other so we have to share when there were plenty open right next to us. Not worth $

This has been a great family place for many years. Dont know what has made it go down. The ac was not working, the food is below grade, the vibe is missing, however the staff is amazing they try to make the best with it. Sad to see it go down,we need more family places in the area.

Ormond Garage, located in Ormond Beach, has a rich history as it was once the site of thrilling races that earned the area its title as the Birthplace of Speed. Today, visitors can soak in the nostalgia while enjoying craft beers like Amber Ale and Juicy IPA. The brewery is housed in a historic garage and exudes an old-world charm that attracts both beer enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
The food was prepared fresh and you can tell by the flavor. Multiple sauces, baha, blown engine, etc. be sure to ask about the options. Burgers, fries and onion rings were delicious! The vegan chicken sandwich got a rave review from my companion. Lots of different beers on tap. Something for everyone. Interesting bathrooms! Live music on a Friday night.

The food was great and didn't break the bank. We shared onion rings, cheese curds, fried pickles, a burger and a couple flights of beers. The burger was a smash burger, which isn't my favorite type but they did a great job. The onion rings were fresh and crispy. The cheese curds tasted like there was a little sugar in the batter, which I didn't love, but they were otherwise fantastic. The fried pickles were spicy. They weren't too hot or anything but I think having regular would be better and then you could just dip them in sauces with some heat. Everything did come with sauces which were really good, although I don't know what they were. The beers were good and there's a great variety. I liked the imperial stout and the hazy IPAs quite a bit. It's cool to be able to see the large fermentation vessels and the fixtures in the men's restroom were all made out of old kegs which was neat. And then obviously old car and racing stuff for the garage theme.

Hi saw some of the most beautiful pieces of art in the Ocean Art Gallery. Nothing in the studio was as beautiful as the curator… Cherree though :). I I highly recommend that you deal with her personally because she reminds me what art is all about and she showed and explained to me the process behind ChromaLuxe Metal Prints and they were absolutely gorgeous. You’ll see the art that I was most impressed with in the pictures but I can’t help but say it again… Cherree made such an impression on me that I am trusting her as a consultant on any client that needs art & decor direction. I can’t wait to find my beach house and have her decorate it with the amazing pieces I saw in that beautiful shop.

I love browsing around in this gallery. Both Cheree and Frank are helpful and talkative. I have taken the time to study some of the art they have there and it is wonderful. I am a fan of the watercolor medium and their select scenes are such great examples. Bibi especially has captured the essence of the beachside life with her sealife studies. Please go there. Spend some time!

I was referred to this gallery by a friend because I was look for a place to display my artwork. The man that greeted me at the door was rude and told me that his gallery wasn't for me and that I couldn't compete with the artists in his gallery without even looking at what I had to offer. Even though I explained that I have been selling for approx 10 years, but was new to the sales of higher end artwork because my pieces recently started selling pieces for prices around $1200 he walked away from me like I was beneath him. I will take my artwork and business elsewhere.

The Ocean Art Gallery This eclectic art gallery had an array of art work ranging from multi mediums, modern metal hodgepodge, lithography, photography, to traditional oil and water base canvases. The handcrafted sterling silver jewelry was hammered and uniquely crafted. The highlight of the gallery included artwork from Mr. Elliot Tibre, the permit obtainer that made the Woodstock Art and Music Festival possible. One of a kind original artwork can be obtained at The Ocean Art Gallery.

This dog park is the absolute best in the area! The small and big dog areas are huge, so all the puppies can run and play freely. The park is really well-maintained. It’s a great place for both dogs and their owners!

Great little family fun park with basketball courts, handball court, tennis courts, including a large open field for the kiddos to just run. Includes a nature trail and if you go all the way to the end of trail and cross the street you'll end up at a lovely fishing pier and catch a BEAUTIFUL sunset (if u go in the evening, of course) I've included pics of pier but I forgot to get pics of park itself but very nice.

Excellent dog park. Not just an open flat field. The dogs loved it.

I don’t give out 5 stars often but this park has quite a bit of fun for almost everyone at any age. There is ample parking for the beach even on the weekends with a beautiful street here of beach without condos or buildings. If you head back into the park there is an excellent playground for the small kids that is completely covered and in the shade. Tennis courts, basketball courts baseball diamond, and a dog park are all in sight of the parking lot. There are trails that go back to the river. Just watch your step because there are plenty of holes from burrowing animals scattered all over the fields.

An excellent plot of land that stretches from the river to the ocean. Definitely a magnificent park by all means. It has a baseball field, tennis courts, basketball court, two dog parks (for large and small dogs) and well maintained nature trails. Volusia County takes good care of this area.

TLDR- a beach without the ocean for dogs. Large and small dog park on A1A. Clean. Mostly sand with thickets of natural foliage. A small covered pavillion with benches, and access to a fresh water spigot. Grass very scarce. Plenty of tennis balls.

Birthplace of Speed Park is a charming beachfront park located in Volusia County, Florida. It sits on a historic motorsports site and features a pavilion, picnic tables, grills, and showers for visitors to enjoy. The park also boasts a small replica garage resembling the Ormond Garage, where informative placards detail the early 20th-century sand races with top cars of that era.
Located on the beach where the first speed tournaments in the US earned Ormond the title "Birthplace of Speed" this lovely park has a replica of the original Ormond Garage which houses replicas of (red) Bullet #1 and Pirate racecars. Stone markers share the garage's history and some of the drivers. A shady picnic area with a grill, a pavilion, a beach viewing platform with an ADA ramp, and stairs leading to the beach invite you to spend the day at this breezy seaside park. I loved this park! I stumbled upon it by accident I was driving around just to drive. My 1st stop was on the other side of the bridge at the other park. I visited this park on my 2nd day in the area. There is plenty of benches to sit and take a break and enjoy the bliss of your surroundings. It's a very clean well kept park. No matter where you sit there is something to take in the view. I enjoyed sitting in front of a metal sculpture with water trickling from it. My experience was peaceful!

The most beautiful park especially to watch the sunset. My son’s first birthday was here. We have date nights and get Hershey’s ice cream and watch the sunset here. It’s a great spot to fish, workout or just enjoy the view.

I can’t really find anything to say bad about this park except that I wish it was closer to my house. The playground had lots for the kids of all ages and it was all along a beautiful shoreline. The fields were very well maintained as was the entire park. There is some history to see here as well as a great place to go for a relaxing walk and one of the best fitness areas that I have seen at a park anywhere around here.

I love the walking loop. It is a peaceful route that spans from the east to the west side of the Granada bridge. There are plenty of benches along the way for a break if desired. There is a small play area with climb on structure and baby swings for young families. There are bathrooms and a few tables for picnics. It is a welcome area for dogs on a leash.

Halifax River is a nice place to go to catch the sunset and I always love the unfortunately short drive on the bridges. The surrounding stores on the west side of the river are a cool experience as well. However, there isn't a ton to do aside from the stores and the nearby beach, so if you're looking for an interesting pit stop, this may not be your place. (The photo I've included is my own at dusk)

This new state-of-the-art discovery center provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about nature through hands-on exhibits and live animals. The center also has a large fish tank with nonnative fish, native fish, turtles, and a snake. The park has both indoor and outdoor sections for exploring by self or with a guide.
Beautifully done inside with live exhibits - snakes, fish, turtles… also taxidermy critters, educational info, honey bees at work. Plants, eggs, teeth - just everything!! Super kind gentleman named George that is great to speak with. Picnic areas, floating dock, telescopes set up. Located between phase 2 and 3 of Central Park and a great place ti explore while using the trails.

a beautiful place to admire nature and learn about it. I was on the phone with my mom, and all she told me was, "Take pictures." I want to see it. Maybe one day I will be able to visit. (she is in PR). An area of safe nature when all that surrounds us today is demolition of green areas, and construction made my day. A breath of fresh air...
Nilsa A — Google review
Fabulous, free, and educational. That's an easy way to describe the Ormond Beach Environmental Center. It features unique plants, large fish and turtle tanks, live snakes, and skeletons. Beware there are signs practically everywhere that say 'don't touch' and the volunteer kept reminding us. It is a small indoor area but has an expansive walk-around deck with picnic tables, a butterfly garden, a trail, and a kayaks launch.
Noel L — Google review
This was a fun and educational afternoon. On the walk from the parking lot to the building, there are educational signs telling you about the plants you are seeing. At first I thought homeless people were sleeping on the porch, but it was a yoga class. A woman greeted us at the door and offered us a map. Inside there are aquariums and terrariums with fish, turtles and lizards. There are eggs and bones so you can compare the sizes. Some owls are really small! An eagle cam showed mom (or dad?) tearing up a fish to feed the eaglet. There is a bee hive encased in glass with bees coming and going. There are taxidermied animals, a bear, bobcat and armadillo. There are some long walks. We watched anhingas and turtles swim. There were a lot of different kinds of birds. A labyrinth is marked on the map. Do you know what a labyrinth is? labyrinth noun; a complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one's way; a maze. "a labyrinth of passages and secret chambers" Well this one “has only one path so there are no tricks to it and no dead ends.” I think it should have a different name.

Our experience at the Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated to a personalized tour of the learning center. The wealth of knowledge we gained about local birds and plant species was truly enlightening, thanks to the passionate and knowledgeable staff. What truly set our visit apart was the thoughtful gesture of providing us with fresh produce clippings and seeds harvested right there on-site. It was a delightful addition to our experience and a testament to their commitment to sustainability and education. Exploring the extensive 2+ miles of trails was a highlight of our visit, offering a serene and immersive experience in nature. The center truly caters to all ages, making it a perfect outing for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone eager to learn more about the environment. I recommend the Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center to anyone seeking an enriching and memorable experience in nature. It's a gem of a destination that deserves all the praise it receives.

Would not recommend this area. Small beach area that was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned of seaweed in what appears to be awhile. There was a fair amount of vagrants lingering and sleeping in the park. Food shower was flooded and inoperable. If you want to relax, head north a bit to find a better beach spot. Felt I had to be on guard here.

This is a nice area to visit in Daytona. However, be aware that due to storms, a lot is under repair. They have the sling shot and another spinning ride, fountain (was down for repair), places for shopping and to eat. The pier was great to walk out on and interact with those who were fishing to see what they were catching. The views are just amazing. Will come back to see this area again one day.

Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory is a delightful destination for chocolate lovers. Established in 1925 and using original recipes, the factory offers free guided tours where visitors can witness the chocolate-making process and indulge in complimentary samples. The company's unique chocolate products come in various shapes such as alligators, conch shells, dolphins, and sand dollars. A visit to this charming factory promises a sweet experience for both children and adults alike.
Out visiting the area of Daytona Beach, our group of four spotted an ad in area guide for Angel & Phelps Chocolate Factory tours, so we decided to check it out. What a wonderful place. The smells permeate the area with fond memories of past birthdays and holidays. We were greeted and given a brief tour and allowed to observe the different sides of chocolate making, different products. There were postings of the history of the factory and notes about chocolate making. So interesting but drooling was bad. Staff was very hospitable and welcoming and answered any questions we had. After the tour, we got to sample a couple pieces of chocolate. Yum! And then to look around for some to take with us back to resort. Sooo many choices and such a phenomenal variety of items. I had my eye on a White Chocolate Gator, but my wife steered me to smaller choices. A great way to spend 45 minutes between sites and get a great treat, Only problem is - I gained a pound just from the smells! ;-)

A very nice chocolate store located very centrally to the Jackie Robinson Ballpark and other shops. It's about 10 minutes from the Daytona Speedway and just before the bridge to the island. The ladies were so kind, patient and friendly. They have plenty of options available and they make their chocolate fresh daily! You can even watch the chocolate being made. Also the company has a Christian background which I absolutely love! Be sure to give them a visit and don't hesitate to ask for a sample or two!

We saw this Chocolate Factory online and decided to stop in before going back to our hotel. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming “hello” and she explained how the self guided tour worked and invited us to ask any her any questions we may have at the end. Such a cute and fun way to spend an afternoon! We purchased the thin mints, milk chocolate peanut butter cup, assorted saltwater taffy, and a “Large Sand Bag” which I have pictured and is a great gift. Everything is/was delicious and we will definitely be back when we are in the area next time.

Nestled just a block from the stunning oceanfront of Ormond Beach, Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf offers an unforgettable experience for families and friends alike. This enchanting miniature golf complex features two outdoor courses that transport you into a world of swashbuckling fun, complete with flowing streams, hidden caves, and cascading waterfalls. The pirate theme is beautifully enhanced by Florida’s lush tropical vegetation, making every hole feel like an adventure on the high seas.
Perfect way to spend a breezy day… ⛳️ Pirates Cove is across the street from Ormond Beach and frequently offers children to golf free with a paying adult. There are two different courses to choose from: one goes over the waterfall and the other goes under the waterfall fall. If you play one course and then decide to play the other, the additional game is only $7/person. The “Blackbeard Course” is the more challenging course and features historically accurate tidbits about Blackbeard’s life throughout the entire course. 🏌🏻‍♀️ After you play, grab some ice cream and head across the street to enjoy some waves! 🌊

Visited during our stay with the in laws around Christmas. Definitely will be heading back here in the future! It's our family's favorite mini golf spot in the area. Before we even got to golfing, we snagged a couple artistic souvenirs as they sell custom designed golf balls(Spider-Man and Mario were our natural choices). They have 2 courses to choose from or you can do both for a discounted price. Something that I always appreciate is the upkeep of the site and this place was clean. The decorations were in good shape and the staff was friendly. Loved all the water features and it wasn't crowded when we were there either.

Very well done course!! We only did 18, but there is an option to do 36 as there are two courses, a harder one and an easier course. We chose the harder one that goes through the cave and it was super fun!! Scenery is beautiful and the holes are hard enough to pose a challenge but not to hinder the fun. Great experience! We came down for spring break with four teenage girls and theirs was the perfect activity for them! Each was was successful in getting up on the board in just one lesson! The location was close to the beach, the price was very reason and the booking process was easy! Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone!!

Excellent experience at surf camp for our group of first time surfers with ages ranging from 13 to 49. Easy sign ups, reliable and organized camp set up, and we were thrilled to be standing up and riding waves day 1! Thanks Rick and Joey for all of the great instruction, encouragement and fun pictures of our adventure!

JB and Rick are very friendly ! JB was our surf instructor, this was our first time surfing for our 40th birthday. JB gave an easy to follow tutorial before we went into the water. He was helpful and provided good cueing. I was able to catch a wave with his help on my first try!! We had an awesome time! Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved my experience with Surfari Surf Shop in Ormond Beach! Renting a surfboard was incredibly easy and hassle-free. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of boards they offer. I really appreciated the convenience of the online reservation system—it made planning my surf session super smooth and stress-free. Rick was amazing to work with; he was quick to respond via phone and made sure I had everything I needed. Got all 4 of our kids (8yo-16yo) up surfing in Ormond beach surf. Highly recommend Surfari for anyone looking to catch some waves without any fuss!
Ty K — Google review
Let me start by saying that my kids were exhausted by the time they got to their surf camp on Monday. They had a sleepover on Friday (no sleep), birthday party on Saturday and full day boat trip on Sunday, so they dreaded going to surf camp on Monday. But.. I picked them up after their first surf session with surfari summer camp and they were more alive than ever! They were riding waves when I got there already, with Brock and Amber coaching them and cheering them on. I signed them up for 3 days but they were so excited they asked me if they could go the full 5 days. It’s an amazing way to be active in the ocean, having 2 coaches there to teach them and after that, all you need is a board and hit the waves! The best outdoor activity living by the ocean and I’m going to join them in learning how to surf 🏄‍♂️ we will be booking another 5 day surf camp in a month from now to get their techniques down and enjoy a lifetime of surfing pleasure. Best “investment” ever ! Thanks to Surfari and Brock and Amber 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

MacDonald House, also known as Mac House, was acquired by Billy MacDonald in 1939 and is currently utilized as the welcoming center for Ormond Beach. This historical building was designed by local architect Sumner Gove in 1903 and constructed under the supervision of Margaret Stout. It now serves as the residence for the Ormond Historical Trust and features four bedrooms adorned with historical photographs that depict important moments in Ormond Beach's history.
This little museum talks about local history, from the Nathan Cobb Cottage built in 1897 out of parts from a shipwreck to early race cars and motorcycles. There is a model of the Ormond Hotel, at one time the largest wooden building in the United States with 11 miles of hallways. There is only one exhibit room with an informative video, a hallway filled with captioned photos, a gift shop and a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guide. The MacDonald House was built in 1903 and is beautifully restored.

Wow! I know Ormond Beach doesn’t have a history museum, so this little gem is a real find. Inside this historic building is a gift shop and some nice historic relics. I was excited to see a GORGEOUS, detailed model of the old Hotel Ormond. Nice work, Ormond Beach Historical Society!

Jackie Robinson Ballpark, located on City Island in Daytona Beach, is a historic minor league baseball park and museum. It holds significance as the site of the first integrated baseball game and is named after the legendary African-American baseball player Jackie Robinson. Visitors can enjoy watching the Daytona Tortugas play while learning about the history of racial injustice in sports. The ballpark offers various promotions such as Taco Tuesdays and Thirsty Thursdays, making it a great stop for families and sports enthusiasts alike.
Museum and ballpark dedicated to the players who were the start of bringing the world together. This may not be a major league ballpark, but Jackie Robinson himself did actually play here! Being in this park let me connect with the emotions I would think were felt through the struggles these players faced to the maintain composure while the world was watching, but how through their strength and actions a few men were able to change the world. The emotional ride here exceeded any ride at any park. Just an overwhelming feeling of pride, hurt, anger, sadness, happiness, altogether, all at once. This spot was the highlight of my trip.

Loved this ballpark and can't wait for the new renovations to be completed. General admission seating was great. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was really good and they had a lot of great beer choices. I would highly recommend bringing bleacher seat cushions.

A Rainy Night Full of Fun at Jackie Robinson Ballpark! This was our first time at the Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and we absolutely loved it! The park has such a great atmosphere—cozy, welcoming, and full of local charm. Even though it rained the night we came and the game was delayed, the staff went above and beyond. They came around with towels and wiped down our seats for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Once the game got going, the energy in the park was awesome. We were lucky enough to be among the first 1,000 fans and scored some free merch, which made the night even more exciting! The food was surprisingly good for ballpark fare—we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried. Plus, the views from the stands were fantastic. You really feel close to the action no matter where you’re sitting. Rain or shine, we had an amazing time and would absolutely come back again! Go Tortugas! 🐢

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Daytona Beach, the Peabody Auditorium stands as a testament to the rich cultural tapestry of this coastal city. Since its inception in 1949, this spacious venue has become a beloved hub for an eclectic mix of performances, including music concerts, comedy acts, dance showcases, and Broadway productions.
The parking next door is convenient and reasonably priced, making it easy to access the venue. The facilities are well-organized, and there are plenty of restrooms available for guests. I appreciated the good views from the seats, which enhanced the overall experience. I'm looking forward to returning for another concert!

What an awesome place to see a show. Some very good artists play in this acoustically designed auditorium. Parking is plentiful and reasonable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The seats are comfortable and roomy for a standard size person. They serve alcohol, beer, wine and soda/water. They have candy and popcorn for your eating pleasure. Another great thing about the Peabody is the diversity of shows. Rock n roll, blues, classic rock, yacht rock and Tom Jones!! Some of the artists we have seen this year below. Plus they have comedy shows.

Store fronts are Very dated stair cases out of order elevator out of order and escalades are out of order also. A few shops mostly food. Update: reduced down to 1 star because of new management incompetent response than listing everything broken, but pictures within post will demonstrate the nonworking items I spoke of.
Robert S — Google review
Three stars because of the location and beautiful ocean views. We were surprised at how many people were outside the shops smoking right at door entrances. It was extremely uncomfortable for those with asthma and those that simply do not like the smell or effects of secondhand smoke. It would be fantastic for management to have smoking parameters of a lot further away than the store entrances in the confined walkways if that is an option. The stores and areas are not what they used to be. There was a great deal of littering and loitering. While trying to enjoy an outdoor meal during a business meeting, we were approached three times asking for money. People also sitting in walkways leading from one store to the next. It was great to see that renovations were being done to improve the area. I love the Google review forum that allows us to share views of our experiences to promote improvements. I do realize there are things out of managements control, but there are also little things that can be addressed that will make a huge difference. We used to enjoy our time there when in the area and some of the nicer shops that have come and gone!

Under construction at the moment but normally a 5 star spot to park and visit the beach. There are free showers and bathrooms and parking available to the public. The best part is this location is right next to the Volusia County Sheriff and Lifeguard hub!
Rob C — Google review
Let's just say this was a wild and untamed area. It may have been the time I visited (Saturday afternoon) but the place had trash overflowing and blowing across the beach. Parking was a nightmare and the audience was less than friendly, courteous or respectful. The beach itself is quite thin with having driving lanes and the hotel/Park walls backing up to the beach and also. During high tide there is very little space. Best to find a different beach if youTr looking for a little space and tranquility.
Brandon F — Google review
My favorite place to see sunrise. The parking is paid. There are lots of folks early morning who come for a stroll, or photography or just gaze at the rising sun with a smile. The restrooms sometimes are closed until 7:30 am or so.
Neha T — Google review
We came to visit the beach and due to high tide coming in, the park was a great place to sit, play, and eat until beach space became available. The park was clean and the outdoor shower and the restroom were appreciated. The only thing I recommend is for an outdoor shower at both ends and clearly marked recycle bins.

Bloody Awesome experience. We visited quite a few different locations this year for vacation. Free parking and lots to do. Shirt and ice cream stores side by side were perfection in the heat. Even saw a guy with a shark he had caught before he put him back.

Beware, this is such a trap!!! They collect $20 for parking and it used to be free. The signage is not that visible and you would not know that rules have changed this year if you been going to Daytona for years!!! Such a ripoff, considering you would not stay at the beach for the entire day. The beach itself is in the worst state it has ever been. The sand is dirty. Sorry, after 15 + years of visiting I’d suggest going somewhere else. This used to be very nice place. I am not sure what happened.

It offers serene trails, picturesque lakes, and abundant opportunities to observe water birds in their natural habitats.

Only giving four stars because it seems like most trails lead to roads and force you to cross. Not the BEST place around to take small children, but still entirely accessible. The lakes are beautiful, the trails are serene, and its one of the best places to watch water birds in action.

I just moved to the area and was in need of a decent walk. This place provided that and more. I was amazed at the beauty of the park. I took the route around the southern most lake. Water walkways were pristine and offered amazing views of the lake and wildlife. A guy was feeding squirrels by hand along the route...cool! There is exercise equipment along the route too, which I had never seen before. Come to find out in FL this is pretty common, but where I am from this is not seen at all. Great idea! Don't swim...gaters...enough said!! Birds of all kinds were use to humans and friendly. Go here...such a good way to spend a couple of hours! Three is a community garden and playground on premises also. I can't wait to do the rest of the ponds/trails!

The Al Weeks Sr. North Shore Park is a remarkable beach destination nearby, easily accessible from Tavares. As you make your way along the A1A, passing various stores, there are also gas stations where you can purchase ice. The sand boasts an appealing orange hue and requires minimal walking to reach the shoreline. However, it's important to keep a watchful eye on your children since the bay has considerable depth. The water temperature is remarkably pleasant, inviting visitors for a refreshing swim.
What an awesome spot to enjoy the beach, amazing views of sunrise and simply soak in the coastal environment. Unfortunately payment for parking will start January, 2025. IMO it will still be worth the stop as this part of the beach has its own uniqueness.

Parking is $20 but less than 1/2 mile north on the beach side is a place to park without free beach access. The new wooden ramps are very nice and the lifeguard station is close by. Beautiful beach spot!

A wonderful park that has benches at the top for those who cannot walk down to the beach. The bathrooms are relatively new and clean, and the presence of the lifeguard tower makes this place feel safe and secure. This park is named after a wonderful man who served the North Peninsula for years. What an honor to go to the park and be reminded of Al and his many positive contributions to the local community, as a realtor, citizen, and resident!

Best beach ever in the area, nice driving from Tavares, you pass several stores prior to get to the A1A and don’t worry there is some gas stations too buy ice. Sand is orange, don’t need to walk much to the beach. Keep an eye in your kids because the bay is deep. Water temperature just amazing. Easy to park. Shower and bathrooms available and baywatch available.

A true gem of a park located directly on the beach. Clean restrooms and outdoor showers to clean up after a swim. Swim here safely in front of the big fancy lifeguard station. Back in the day this site was home to the old Ormond Pier that was destroyed during a hurricane.

Great little park directly on the beach. Swim safely in front of the giant lifeguard tower and clean up afterwards with the showers and restrooms. Parking is free but limited, however there are a lot of other free parking lots located nearby too. The sand is soft and coarse here.

Went for the first time today. Quiet when we got there and spent time doing a tasting with Jeremy, the owner, and having a lovely conversation getting so much history and personal stories along the way. So glad we went when we did. Everything was delicious. Jeremy was so knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with. When it got busier, regulars came in and we chatted with them. It added to the atmosphere bc I love when you can see when a place has several regulars. We will absolutely be back, but brought some back home for in the meantime. Thanks, Jeremy, we really enjoyed ourselves.
Kelly K — Google review
I visited 6/18/2025. As someone who truly appreciates rum and is very passionate of the craft and history of rum, I had the pleasure of going through a small personal tour and getting a deep insight of the beautifully crafted rum that Copper Bottom has to offer. I was offered tastings of their current rum selection, which are all excellent in their own right. The base aged rum is expertly crafted and an excellent base for Copper Bottoms' more intriguing and sophisticated rums. I highly recommend the Port Cask finished rum for Mixologist that want a complex rum with many layers, as it has been aged in bourbon barrels and finished in a Port wine barrel to complete with a fascinating finish. The super smooth Sherry finish example also goes through a similar process and I would highly recommend it for those with a more refined palate. I recommend it for sipping and would combine perfectly with your favorite cigar if you so choose. Not everyday am I schooled, but I have experienced my first ever Bonded Rum (very strict authentication process after learning about it). I must say it is the crown achievement and proof that the master distiller has worked hard to create this masterpiece. After tasting, I could not leave without purchasing this example of such an elegantly refined product. It was an absolute pleasure and I truly wish that those reading this review consider experiencing this delightful rum. Copper Bottom may be small, but its rum is absolutely on par with some of the best rums around.

The Three Chimneys, located along West Granada Boulevard, is a historic site with a rich past. Originally an old British sugar mill and rum distillery dating back to 1764, it was later transformed into the tourist attraction Camp Fagan in 1914. Despite being somewhat hidden from view, this first sugar mill and rum distillery in Florida offers a fascinating glimpse into the state's history.
This is 1 of Ormond's best kept secrets. If you don't look for the little sign, you'll miss it. Sadly, it is now fenced in.
Jennifer P — Google review
It was hard to see because of the fence. We didn't realize you had to make reservations, to actually go in and see it but it was still very interesting and I don't regret going. Next time I definitely want to call and find out about going in and actually seeing the structure.
Melissa ( — Google review
Looks like it could be cool, but nowhere is it indicated you have to make a reservation with the Historical Society for a guided tour. You can't get in otherwise.... very disappointing when you're looking for something short, sweet, and free to do week you happen to be in town.
Rebecca B — Google review
You have to make an appointment to visit
Deidre — Google review
Went on a Thursday at 11am and it waslocked up/closed. Looked interesting but ........ You have to park in the office building next door
Don L — Google review
Locked and gated for no reason. Could just gate the structure itself and let people get close enough to view it. No place to park to view it either. Historical preservation at its dumbest.
Logan S — Google review
i grew up in Ormond Beach but didn't learn about the Three Chimneys Sugar Mill until I was 45.
Phillip M — Google review
You can only access the sugar mill ruins by appointment. Only by appointment! I do not recall seeing that posted anywhere online, nor did I see a number online to call in order to make an appointment. I am very disappointed not to be able to experience such a cool piece of history.

Historical landmark
Located about two miles north of the Tomoka State Park entrance, Dummett Sugar Mill ruins date back to 1825 and once served as a prosperous sugar mill and rum distillery. It was home to the first steam-powered cane-crushing mill in the United States, playing a significant role in bringing the Industrial Revolution to the country. Although the ruins are now fenced off, visitors can still enjoy a secluded picnic amidst Spanish moss-draped oaks and spiky palms.
This spot is nothing fantastic....but kewl.....I first came here as a kid with my mother....always just a kewl place to enjoy some history and nature.
Chris G — Google review
Interesting, though there is a high fence all around the structure. I’ve always meant to stop there, and I finally did, but I probably won’t go back. It’s good to see it once, but Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park is better in my opinion. Dummett is free, however. The state park is not.
Micah — Google review
Would be nice to see more historical records and history on it. One sign just doesn't say enough. Some trails around there would be nice too. Awesome 200 year old place is cool though.
Craig M — Google review
It's worth visiting but it's nowhere near as impressive as some of the other sugar mill ruins nearby. There was not much left of these ruins but what is there is interesting. A fence keeps you from getting very close to them. Beware of the mosquitoes though. They were eating us alive as soon as we got out of our car.
GL S — Google review
Stopped here on the way to explore the state park. Small ruin, but a neat taste of history. Unfortunately it’s fenced in but you’re still able to get pretty close and take in the history that this place has to offer.
Megan S — Google review
It was a nice place to visit. Very small not much to see. A little hidden. There is a fence all the way around it. So i couldn't go inside to walk around, which was a bummer. A little gravel parking area right in front.
Ratchet B — Google review
I discovered this cool bit of history from Atlas Obscura. Look for it on the side of the road on Old Dixie Hwy, two miles north of Tomoka State Park. Built in 1825 the Dummitt Sugar Plantation was once owned by Colonel Thomas H. Dummitt, an officer in the British Marines turned planter. He purchased it from the plantations of John Bunch who built the houses and buildings and John Addison. Dummitt named the plantation Carrikfergus and in its hey day the Dummitt Sugar Plantation once harvested 20,000 acres of sugar cane to be distilled into rum. Interestingly it had the first steam powered cane crushing mill built by an Irish engineer at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. It provided four times the power of water fueled mills. During grinding season 100 slaves and 40 Native Americans would heat the sugar cane juice and process it into molasses. It was stored in three cisterns before being processes into rum. Area Native Americans would then trade game for rum. The Dummitt family lived on the plantation in a log house with palmetto thatched roof until they fled during the war for St. Augustine where Colonel Dummitt passed away in 1839 at the age of 64. The plantation was burned down during the Second Seminole War in early 1836 after the Dummitt family had already left. At that time the United States government was attempting to forcibly remove all Native Americans out west under the Indian Removal act. Those who refused to go stayed and fought in the Second Seminole War. All that is left of the old sugar mill is the ruins of an irregular brick and coquina wall and twin chimneys. I was disappointed to see it was fenced off but there are other sugar mill ruins in the area like the Bulow Plantation that I hope to explore soon.

Located in Daytona Beach, it's a popular attraction for both kids and adults seeking fun activities in the area.
Very fun course, we were off season a bit and you could see all the improvements they were making for the next season. It was a blast and is well kept.

Pirates island… a Daytona Classic. A few years ago we went and honestly it was kind of falling apart. They have done a really good job of adding new paint and getting this place back to order! The last thing is replacing a lot of the turf but I saw one hole they had already done this so it looks to be a work in progress. It is kinda wild that your first impression of hole 1 is torn up Astro turf. Hopefully they keep going and finish getting it all restored. Fun course and always a classic!
Justin K — Google review
My husband and I had a lot of fun here! It is pretty expensive, but it's a good time. The atmosphere is nice, with pirate-y music playing and lots of decorations. The courses were challenging (to me at least haha). There were lots of photo ops too. There were also lots and LOTS of lizards lol (which we liked!)

I really love this location. The bike trails the walking trails. I really connected with Earth and grounded myself. Got to see woodpecker's dears all the of birds and ground myself. It was really an amazing experience. Great location to get away from the madness of the city life. I'll be still

So grateful a piece of history like the Fairchild Oak tree was saved. The tree is so majestic and welcoming at it has survived over 400 years. Not a ton of parking, but enough. There is a bench and a pavilion with picnic tables as well as bathrooms. We have hiked some of the trails and seen wildlife like deer and some really cool mushrooms. Fairchild Oak would make a great wedding ceremony location.

Tom Renick Park is an oceanfront recreational area that offers free parking, picnic shelters, and kids' play equipment. The park features plenty of showers and clean bathrooms for visitors to use after a day at the beach. However, some improvements could be made such as adding shelves or hooks in the bathrooms and providing cover-ups for the picnic tables. Additionally, visitors should be mindful of sand crab holes in the park.
It's a pretty cool place. Holds about 5000 people. I'd say the sound is very good. It's a little older and the food and alcohol is expensive, but that's pretty much any arena. These days. Seen UB40 Fantastic.

Nice small park that is difficult to find parking on the weekend. Includes small play area for the kids. Nice to find a park squeezing between all the condos. Everything seemed well maintained and a great view with plenty of natural plants to enhance the view.

This is where we always go to the beach at. They took the ramp down which makes it much more difficult to carry things down to the beach but there are plenty of bathrooms, a playground, picnic tables, showers. Additionally, the park provides opportunities for activities such as skateboarding, tennis, and birdwatching.

Still a great park, but definitely showing its age. The fences are always missing spokes. A lot of the wooden structures move to easily. And they just keep adding layers of mulch without ever removing any of the old layers. Seriously it’s so high now that the “hanging” balance beam doesn’t hang anymore and sitting on the benches is only a few inches different than sitting on the ground. They need to close it for a month or so this winter and do a serious maintenance on it.
Charles S — Google review
We went to the playground, it's a nice place. It was super hot out but it stays a little cooler here, so it wasn't that bad. Lots of room to run around and places to hide. There are also clean bathrooms, a skate park, a basketball court, baseball field, and a few other activities. They have a covered pavilion that is nice and shady, good for parties or a little picnic.

We also love the racquet ball courts, walking path, and open grassy field. My kids love watching the skate park, though none of them have decided they want to try that one yet. The bathroom is a bit of a walk, but nothing you can't handle. All in all this is a great family park.

This is a GREAT park. It has everything you will need. I come here with my child 2-3 times per week & EVERY SINGLE time I come I smell marihuana & see a sale go on. Cops around this park & they never do anything. I think if they got out of their patrol cars & walked in the park they would make many arrests or chase these losers away. They would have to patrol In regular civilian clothing to catch them. I moved to O.B. to be in a better quality neighborhood.

Nice, big, open park. Lots of good parking, with several handicap concrete parking pads, and concrete sidewalks leading to block bathroom facilities, and children's play area and jungle gym equipment. Wheelchair, walker, cane friendly to the max. Shady spots for watching the grandchildren. Seabridge Riverfront Park offers a charming and picturesque fishing location. The dock remains accessible while the pier is temporarily closed. Additionally, this park boasts two public docks with one currently under repair but the other featuring a covered section in excellent condition.
Easy to find and we were able to fish without interruptions. Only like 3 people showed up the whole 3 hours we were there. There is nothing here as far as bathrooms or normal "park things" like a playground. There is a very nice pier though.

Not much here so wouldn’t really dub it a park. The long boardwalk is still closed as of Sept/Oct 2021… still closed in November, as well. There is a fishing pier with a covered area with seating. Small walking trails with benches. Will be better once they repair the boardwalk. It’s a beautiful place to watch a sunset or spot marine life if people aren’t out on the dock/pier. Otherwise it gets crowded on there. Boardwalk repaired.

This is a perfect little secret river dock. It is open to the public so it’s not that big of a secret, but unless you’re local or got eyes glued to the map in search of these things, you wouldn’t know. Perfect place to cast a line, take a walk with the kids, the dog, the special person, yourself. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset. Bring bug spray because it is Florida.

Firehouse Park is a small, hidden gem with firehouse-themed equipment, picnic tables, and benches neatly arranged in a compact space. However, some visitors noted minor issues like rust on the equipment and occasional safety concerns.

Nice small park that is almost impossible to find if you didn’t already know it was there. The firehouse themed park has nice equipment and some picnic tables and benches with some beautiful landscaping all squeezed neatly into a small area. There are two ways to park. You can pull in from Atlantic ave into the front fire department parking lot and you can navigate the maze of roads to get to the back parking lot. With all the nice parks in this area it is likely that you will have the park to yourself if you show up.

Neat park, we had it to ourselves which was refreshing. The smaller monkey bars were a hit with my 5 yr old. It has some nice seating and walking distance to the beach. The fire department next door had a fire engine parked out back so my kids walked up to it and got to see it. I’m sure if there was a firefighter around they would have enjoyed showing it off.

Nice little park minus a few things. There is some rust on the equipment. My Wife found a capped needle 💉 in the bush. It wasn't at ground level but still sketchy! Right at the fire department so I guess this person felt safe there?

This park is nice and clean I just dont think it good for 1 or 2 year old if it had swing for kids I think it be great I give 5 stars because I love that it has big shade over big slides

Great little play area for kids and the firehouse will let you use their restrooms if you ask nice (assuming the trucks aren't out on a rescue).

This place is great. My kiddos had a blast. It has a cover that catches a nice breeze so it's not too hot.
