Crux Fermentation Project is a popular brewpub located in a former transmission repair plant in Bend. The place offers over 20 taps, bar food, and a patio with a fire pit. It's beloved by the tattooed, dog-owning crowd and is known for its fenced yard that exudes Bend magic during sunset. For those interested in Bend's history, McMenamins Old St.
Wonderful brewery with a wide variety of great beers and styles on tap, plus special bottle pours like tough love or banshee series (all excellent). Cans and bottles for sale. Great atmosphere, plenty of indoor seating and large outdoor patio seating with a great view of the mountains, plus a fire pit. Taco truck food was just ok, wished I had ordered food from Crux , the pizza cart was closed when visiting. Friendly and knowledgeable bar service, tasters as well. plenty of parking. Trivia night seemed pretty popular. Worth visiting if you like/love beer.
C Y — Google review
Great place with ample seating and parking. We got a few beers, crux capacitor, bolchi bolchi and glow stick. The bolchi bolchi is very light and fresh. Loved it. They had a bunch of food trucks outside so we got some food and the outdoors was pretty chill.
Binit B — Google review
Still a classic Bend brewery worth visiting, even if their beers have leveled off in terms of innovation and excitement. It’s known for being family-friendly, which often means screaming children running around and dogs yapping. Good for a group hang but not my first choice for an evening out or chill afternoon.
Jacob S — Google review
Can a place feel like ohana… and serve killer NA beer? Ever walk into a spot and instantly feel like family? That’s Crux in Bend. Love this place… The family-friendly atmosphere is all time… Kids running around happy… adults actually relaxing… and zero uptight vibes. And here’s what sealed the deal for me… The food trucks outside.. The ice cold beer.. The crew at Crux makes you feel like ohana from the second you walk in. If you’re in Bend… go A must
Anthony S — Google review
Great beer. Limited food options. Scrappy outdoor area. Still worth a visit.
Clif A — Google review
Stopped in her in our way through town, quiet the interesting way around to get there from the highway, they had a good selection of beers and food as well as three food trucks in the yard, I found it interesting that most of the outside tables were not level? They have a big yard with lots of tables some in the shade. The tacos from the food truck were excellent as well as the beers. I'm

Excellent service, they were very nice and quick. We got a bunch of different items to share between the 5 of us. The pretzel was a little over cooked and the taco dip was only luke warm. But the Philly cheese steak was good. Beers were tasty as well.
Brett G — Google review
One of the best beer tasting rooms in Bend. Lots of indoor seating and a huge outdoor seating area. Great selection of draft beers in all styles. Lots of affordable cans to-go. Several food trucks and a restaurant inside.

Bend Brewing Company is a craft brewery with a pub offering pints of beer and a full menu of American cuisine. It's an excellent choice for handcrafted ales and pub food, making it a great alternative to other breweries in the area. Despite not having direct river views, you can still catch glimpses of the Deschutes River from the elevated dining area or the sunny back deck.
Beer was good, food was better. No table wait staff, order beer and food at the bar which is fine. The fish and chips were excellent. The wagyu burger with bacon jam and Cajun tots out of this world!
Paul B — Google review
It's no surprise that Bend has plenty of brewery options! Bend Brewery should be on your list of places to visit! They are celebrating 30 years of Best Brews and Views - hard to argue with that! They've got an incredible outdoor seating area right along the river, which is hard to beat. There was a bit of a wait, but we were able to grab a drink from their patio bar and hang outside while we waited. I do feel their menu has gotten smaller, more limited, and more expensive over the years. I had the smash burger. It was tasty but hardly had any meat... more bun than anything. For the price, I was expecting a bit more. The fries were good, though! The cauliflower hummus and the drinks were great! It's definitely a good spot to check out while in Bend.
Constantine J — Google review
Holy moly!!! The food here is 5-stars! So tasty and addicting! I am so glad we found this place when passing through on our roadtrip. The happy hour is freaking delicious. We were so impressed with the fajitas, we did a double-take. Man!!! This place is so good!!
Winston D — Google review
Lovely seating along the river. Crispy, tasty small portion of fish for the fish tacos, and as you can see, a ridiculously skimpy amount of cabbage. Salsa tastes reminiscent of horrible marinara from a chain pizza place. Sad.
P G — Google review
What a great place to have dinner!! We've ordered the wagyu burger and a bean burger, on the side sweet potato fries and cajun tots. It was delicious! Also very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend!!

Such yummy food. Attentive & fun service. Seemly crowded around 1:30. Fun little area to walk around after lunch :) great server! Forgot his name but young gentleman with blonde hair!! He was very friendly and polite to all of our dietary needs!
Claire G — Google review
Stopped in on a whim for dinner as we were passing though town. We will be back! Wonderful service, yummy food, and the best beer we had in Bend! We are hooked now!
Naomi L — Google review
09/15/25 1st time here. Stopped to get an appetizer, and wait for grandson, while trying to figure out dinner plans. Wife liked her mule, and I liked my refreshing Watermelon Shuga instead of my usual preferred dark beer, which they did not seem to have. The Shuga was actually quite good. Also had a nice large pretzel with excellent cheese sauce, and their Cauliflower Hummus was possibly the best hummus I've ever tasted. Service is self-serve at the bar, which was a bit slow. But the bar tender was quite pleasant. Highly recommended.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Bend, J DUB Restaurant & Bar is a popular spot known for its elevated American comfort food and extensive drink selection. The family-friendly establishment offers a menu featuring elevated comfort fare and a full bar with local spirits. It's also renowned for its weekend breakfast options that pair well with flavorful cocktails like bloody marys. Moreover, the restaurant is highly accommodating to four-legged companions, providing a partially covered patio and water bowls for dogs.
I found the best chicken fried steak! Perfectly tender, amazing breading and the sausage gravy was magnificent! Slight Cajun with paprika and maybe some cayenne. Everything was absolutely perfect. This is my new favorite place! The frickles (fried pickles) we're great too and there were so many that I had to stop eating so I'd have room for the giant steak! Thank you for a great meal!
A V — Google review
We felt welcomed in from the start and the food didn't disappoint. The fish and burgers were excellent, the fries were practically perfect. We also loved how they hung customer artwork on the wall of fame. Highly recommend and if we're back in Bend we'll stop in.
Bret S — Google review
Got the Deviled Eggs appetizer special was a spam, seaweed, teriyaki version I thought was pretty good. Also got just there normal Deviled Eggs with were average. I got the Lobster roll and fries. It was average. Nothing to unique at all. Fries average. She got the No Carb Burger. She was more impressed with the spicy 1000 island than the meal. Our 3rd had the teaser salad. Was very generic and over dressed making it super saucy. Overall a average meal for the price.
Craig D — Google review
Downside they were out of the Donuts for the donut burger thing, but the Pot roast dip was fantabulous! Good people, good vibe too. That street is beautiful at night.
Anthony T — Google review
Overall this was a great restuarant. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Be prepared for large portions. I could almost not finish my breakfast. The menu is available all day, breakfast or dinner. If your looking for a family friendly spot then I recommend this place. Also you have to try their rotating special of deviled eggs.
Jesse B — Google review
Great spot for breakfast. We had the Mr. October and the special/seasonal caramel apple Dutch baby. Both were delicious. Friendly and attentive service, too.
Karissa P — Google review
The sale came with freshly grilled chicken. Not the microwaved tough chicken you get most places. No croutons by request. Great service. Sat outside on a lovely evening.
Jim W — Google review
Might of went on an off night so take it with the grain of salt but definitely will not be returning. Burger was sub bar at best it was a cheep frozen patty that tasted like a patty I used to get at a school cafeteria. Server forgot to add an extra patty then when I told him I did not get it and did not want to be charged for it, he said yeah I forgot to add that… and then charged me for it! When I walked in my gut told me to turn around and walk out and I wish I would have listened to it. Not trying to talk bad about the establishment but 4.5 stars is very in accurate for the service, quality of food and atmosphere that I experienced dining with JDub.

The McMenamins Old St. Francis School is an offbeat hotel in Downtown Bend, OR that features unusual rooms and a pub. It was once a Catholic Schoolhouse and it has been renovated into a stylish hotel with live music and a soaking pool. Your dog can stay with you for a small fee at the hotel.
Always love a McMenamins stay! Right in the heart of downtown, Old St Francis bring the artistic, historic, quirky and comfortable environment you find in all McMenamins. Had a double queen room well outfitted with local coffee and robes for the soaking pool. Breakfast is available early and there’s complimentary coffee and tea, and parking on site. Front desk was extremely responsive and helpful (thank you, Freestar!). Definitely not a generic hotel stay! And great to see photos of my Uncle Tim (who attended this school in the 40s) on the wall. Lovely all around.
Ellen N — Google review
Our first time staying at a McMenamins. Amazing building and art!!! Spent forever just looking at all the art in the hallways, the different light fixtures, old photos etc. fire pits were flaming in full force in the O’Kanes courtyard. Did I mention they’re dog friendly???? Had food and water bowls on arrival in our room. Front desk was amazing helping with different requests. Downside: our room was by the stairs and entry door, it was loud with people moving and opening/closing the door. The building is wood cabin style so everything creaks. All lighting is VERY dim, even in hallways. It’s a large property so buildings are separate from each other. It’s a bit of a walk to the front desk or the pub [we stayed in Art House, furtherest from the main building]. Didn’t get a chance to go soak in their pool (they provide bathrobes 👌). Overall a fun and cool experience!!!
Linna — Google review
Highly recommend this resort. It may have ruined me for all other hotels. The family suite was roomy and did not feel stuffy although it was located in an attic area. Friendly staff and the food/drink sites were efficient without compromising quality. The soaking pool was beautiful and relaxing. It is kid friendly per rules, but the vibe seemed for adult/calm. The brewery and patio were very kid friendly. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was a magical place.
Kari F — Google review
We reserved a room block for my daughter’s wedding weekend. Hotel was clean, rooms were quiet and we all found the property to be eclectic in a good way! Staff from the front desk, restaurant, bars and housekeeping were so accommodating and professional. All the staff that I encountered went beyond my expectations.
Mary W — Google review
David and Sandra at the front desk check in, were delightful and engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. They helped make our stay so enjoyable! The soaking pool was relaxing and all the staff we met (Ryan, Zoe, Destiny, Jody and others) were very friendly. The secret rooms were fun and the a passport experiences make every McMenamins hotel an adventure.
Valerie W — Google review
Great venue with lots in of atmosphere! Fun drink menu and great beers! Look forward to visiting again! Take time to walk the facilities... great art, interesting exprriences and rooms!

Great place for a fun weekend Food awesome, tasty, beautifully prepared. Drinks same. Atmosphere for the Halloween Bash fun. Dad Bods Band had it happening. Lots to explore and do.
Susan — Google review
Very cool location! The soaking pool is gorgeous 😍 We enjoyed our movie as well! They had some great movie inspired cocktails too 😋 My biggest complaint is the fact that you have to go through the smoking area to get to your rooms. It's a bit awkward walking though all those people with your suitcases.

Amazing food AND service! We loved our waiter—he was hilarious and had great suggestions. Fun outdoor area. I dove into my bacon chicken burger so fast, I forgot to take a photo of all the food. 10/10. We also got the wings and fries and blue cheese burger. Yum yum!

We ended up here on pizza week. The pizza is actually really good. Taken away by how good the pizza is. Thin crust, good sauce and great toppings. Of course I have always been a fan of the beer. I love it. The service is great.
Joshua M — Google review
Love 10 Barrel! Never a disappointment, excellent food, service and atmosphere. We shared the personal cowboy pizza and salad, strawberry chipotle wings and the steak and gorgonzola nachos. Everything was amazing and our server Sarah was on it! We drank the Resting Peach cider and finished it up with a butterfinger cheesecake, yummm!!
Rebecca H — Google review
It was a very hot day, but we still had to sit outside because we had the dog with us. We sat at the outside bar and got great service. The food was amazing. We had the chicken sandwich and a small starter salad to share. I didn’t take any pictures of food Cause I was so hungry. My wife loved her cider.
Richard P — Google review
Good food and atmosphere. Painfully slow service. Our server was quick to say hi and check in with us but then disappeared for half an hour. If we had an attentive server we could have cut our dining time in half. We'd come back, though - we got the bacon potatoe pizza and the Space Cadet and Krispy Cream beer - everything was enjoyable.
Michael L — Google review
The cowboy pizza was very tasty and the Sasquatch beer was frosty! Our server was nice just didn't stop by the table often to reorder drinks. Worth a stop after playing on the river. Patio is dog friendly which is always an amazing plus on my end!
Martha S — Google review
Beer was yummy! But….the food made us sick, we checked in and they canceled us on the waitlist, we had to find our waitress after waiting for 20minutes for the tab plus bad service all night and the waitress was much more interested in the tables with younger patrons, told us it was best we got our ticking time bomb out…aka our daughter. To top it off we went for one of their Thursday night football specials and were charged full price for the beers that were supposedly included with the tacos and mini nachos.
KRISTEN T — Google review
Amazing beer, excellent food and a fun vibe. Decent prices for the area. Slow service but that's because they're always busy. Very hard to park here. I'd recommend simply for the beer alone!

Worthy Brewing Company in Bend is a popular spot known for its diverse selection of craft beers and delicious pub food. The brewery offers a wide-ranging taplist of inventive ales and lagers, often incorporating cutting-edge hop varieties. Their expansive food menu includes wood-fired pizza and fresh salads made with on-site grown ingredients. What sets Worthy apart is its full-blown observatory on the premises, making it a unique destination for beer enthusiasts.
All we can say is WOW! These folks are not just checking boxes, they are living it too. While the food (in our case a burger) was mouthwatering, it's the other experiences available to explore that makes the stop well worthwhile. Cool, clean restrooms (6 of them) accessible friendly, garden club and tour, observatory (hopservatory) in their case, live music, indoor outdoor dining and overlook decks, this place simply spells experience. We added them to our Central Oregon clean restroom directory as a result of our visit, which mind you was just to inquire about the observatory. Good job Worthy's!

I was going to stop at Deschutes but then saw this place off the road - the beautiful garden caught my eye. I found an incredible farm to table brewery with delicious beer and food to boot! Jasmine was a very nice server and gave me generous tasters, so I got to try a few of their beers before settling on the single hop Lorien which has salmon safe hops! The intentionality is very apparent here. I had half nachos and half beet salad and felt full of goodness and ready to go on with my adventure. Thanks for creating this inspiring community spot and feeding all the people and pollinators with your gardens!

Welcome to the one and only Worthy Brewing Company! After a day out with some friends and their kids while visiting town, we had the craving for food and wanted to check out a great place to eat and also have a good locally brewed beer. In the evening (or any time after dark), a wonderful treat they offer too is they actually have an observatory with a BIG telescope and a very informative operator just up a few flights of stairs and up to the 3rd story. On to the food and staff. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly and helpful, our server was great and did a nice job accommodating our requests and they even served the bottle of wine we ordered in a nice chilled container. This place is suuuper cool! They have tons of plants outside to check out, they’re growing hops right on the edge of the parking lot and they have a row of greenhouses outside. We didn’t have time ask to take a tour of the facility, but I can only imagine all of the cool things they have to share and the building is very unique and has awesome construction and architecture. They have a nice upstairs seating area with a larger round propane fire pit to enjoy and heaters on the ceiling to keep you warm on a wintery bend day. Outside on the patio they have two propane fire pits to warm up next to and a large amount of seating there too. We got a round of brews that were very tasty and fun to drink, and their hot wings were delicious! I went for a Reuben and waffle cut sweet potato fries that were super yummy! We also tried their Chef Bromden’s Reality that was a tasty take on a chicken bacon flatbread, served on a fresh cooked flatbread, straight out of their pizza oven, BOMB! They also have a kids menu, which was great for one of the little ones in our party to get a delicious burger with grapes to snack on, on the side. We didn’t get a pizza this time, but they have an amazing pizza oven in the back, hot and ready to bust out a perfectly crispy and bubbly pizza like it came out of Italy. To top the meal off, we added in a slice of their hot honey cheesecake that was a perfect treat at the end of the meal. Super delicious! If you’re interested in taking a flight of great beer or want a nice meal to enjoy either mid day or evening time, I highly recommend you check out Worthy Brewing Company! Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I wish you a wonderful time enjoying the stars, and having a delicious brew and food! Cheers! 🍻

Caught Worthy's Happy Hour to refuel after weekend warrioring. I had possibly the best blackened steelhead fish tacos. The sauce along with diced peppers, red onions and mango was a perfect accompaniment. I also bought a packet of wildflower seeds to take home and plant. Excited to check out the farmer’s market here next trip to Central Oregon and to try their gf beer.

I brought my friend who is visiting from Maine here for lunch and beer. It was excellent! We had an order of chicken wings. Half garlic Parmesan and the other half was the buffalo wings. We also had som sweet chili brussel sprouts with bacon. Delicious! The beers we chose were brewed here and were also quite tasty. Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called. Our server was Maddie. She was a delight and was very attentive. The whole experience was noteworthy!

Yikes this place has gone downhill since I last went. After this last time not sure if my family will be coming back. So no more cheese curds? And what’s with the changes to the margarita pizza? Was served a pizza with shredded cheese and some little pieces of basil on top. No tomatos, It was just like a cheese pizza. By definition, a margarita pizza has sliced mozzarella cheese and tomato’s, neither existed. You can’t call it a Margarita pizza if it’s like that… won’t be coming back. Weird menu change choices.
Jason C — Google review
Beer is great. Service is great. But they changed their Brussels sprouts. We would go there just for the Brussels sprouts, but the new recipe is terrible. The “creamy” dip is a dry clump of something not tasty. We tried to eat the brussel sprouts plain, but they were too salty. Very sad. Why change something that everybody loved.

Update 9/2025. Still a good place for good beer. They no longer have the popcorn machine. But, now offer pizza. I really liked this place. Humble beginnings to excellent tasting beer with selection that will satisfy any palette. Great service with nice tasting racks. Cozy, inviting atmosphere right in the brewery where the beer is made. Prices are normal for any central Oregon beer. Some outside seating and small heated expansion area of the brewery too. I will be returning anytime I need a pint.

We recently held one of our After Hours Networking events at Bridge 99, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were very kind, fun and approachable. They went above and beyond accommodating our notably large group of 37 attendees. We met in their fully covered extension area, which was warm and comfortable. They offered a great selection of tasty beers on tap, a great in house food menu, and adjoining food truck food options as well. What a cool space, and hidden gem. This is a great neighborhood gathering space for Bend East/NE side residents, and worth a drive if you're looking for a fun new space. Such a great way to kick-off 2024, and a big thank you to Evan, David, Carlin and the fabulous Bridge 99 crew for having us!

Very good selection of beers and don't be fooled by the food trucks, they have have a large selection of hot items. Warning, the roasted sprouts and cauliflower with habenero sauce has a kick. I had the Tiramisu Porter which was good but I was hoping for a stout. They had a canned coffee stout but I was hunting for draft. Their parking lot was very small with many of the spaces dedicated to an adjacent business. Never-the-less I would recommend the brewery.

Bridge 99 has some great beer selections! We especially love the Blood Orange Heff and the Rock Crawler Red. The last time we were there they also had 3 different Legend Ciders on tap. The food selection is awesome too. All the food carts are really different and there's a nice variety. They have a great atmosphere inside and outside and a few big TVs to watch sports.

Midtown Yacht Club, situated in Bend's central district, is a popular food truck lot with a variety of dining options. The location offers both indoor and outdoor seating and features seven food carts serving high-quality sushi, vegan comfort food, Israeli street food, waffles, hot dogs, tater tots, and Mexican cuisine with Spanish influences. With around 20 rotating beers and ciders available at the taphouse, it's an ideal spot for casual snacking and drinks.
This is a great spot! I tried a Krabby Patty with a side of potato salad from Lively Up Yourself. The potato salad was incredible, perfectly seasoned, and I'll look forward to having it again. The Krabby Patty was good but could have used more seasoning - It comes with a yummy mayo which was the star of the show but I do wish the patty itself would have had that quality too. However, my experience was great and I would certainly come again!

Tried the pizza week special from the P!zza food truck. One of the most unique yet still delicious and flavorful pizzas i've ever experienced. The head of fun round off trivia going on and good atmosphere. Bummed there was no water available in the big sports cooler while I waited for my pie so I left to eat drink elsewhere

It's a simple idea: pair food trucks with a central tap house, provide tables, enjoy. They nailed it. The truck options are excellent (though I usually just go BarRio - never been disappointed), the tap room has great choices and the overall vibe, rustic, social, casual, is just my style

Another excellent find for food and drinks. Classic outdoor food lot with 5+ different food cuisines. Indoor space is open industrial with ample seating that flows outside. Family friendly with live music. Plenty of beer and wine to choose from. I enjoyed that they selected several breweries from outside the area, and are hosting other beer events. Prices as expected. A much needed asset in the NE side of Bend.

Spider City Brewing Company is a must-visit spot in Bend, especially for dog lovers. This welcoming brewery features both indoor and outdoor areas where you can sip on expertly crafted beers alongside your furry companion. Since its establishment in 2018, Spider City has made a name for itself with an impressive array of craft beers, including IPAs, stouts, and unique sour series that appeal to all palates.
Great beers and they also have a good selection of brewing supplies. I needed some yeast quickly and heard they had. Also had some tastes there. Good options. Went with the delicious BLSSB porter. I will certainly be back. Thank you Chris for the great service!

A nice selection of beers in a beer crazy town. The name derived from the early days when they brewed out of a spider laden garage. I enjoyed the West Coast IPA but felt the Bourbon barrel aged porter 13.8% ABV had too much bourbon flavor. There were a couple of food trucks in the parking lot which might eat up important spaces on a crowded Saturday night.
James S — Google review
Great brewery-- lots of beer and non-beer options to drink, large TV to watch sports, large garage door to open during nice weather, nice background music, and awesome food truck with authentic street tacos. This is a great local place to meet up for conversation and a cold brew.

Another new brewery in central Oregon. Several different beers that all seemed okay. A couple guest taps too. Located in an industrial space and is sorta family friendly. No real food yet. I have been wanting to go for sometime but hours are a little weird. Service was not great with the lone staff member disappearing and not really attentive. I'll go back. Hopefully there are improvements.

Nice place to have a beer. Inside/outside seating. Grazing goat wc IPA was fantastic. Clean, balanced and bitter as an IPA should be.

Every beer I had during this trip was excellent. IPA, fruited sour, gose, hazy IPA. Wish I was able to have more. Definitely a brewery to watch and follow. Can't wait to try them again in the future. Wish they had a tasting flight option, so I could have tried more!

The Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon, is a historic site that has been transformed into an outdoor retail hub featuring a variety of shops, restaurants, and a scenic riverside trail. The area also boasts art galleries showcasing diverse works from local artists and offers opportunities for visitors to engage in creative activities. Once home to one of the world's largest pine sawmills, the district now provides a vibrant shopping and dining experience with over 40 shops ranging from major brands to charming boutiques.
Today we've visited Old Mill District and we loved it!! A very nice mix of different kind of shops, great looking buildings and lovely artwork. This might just have become my favourite part of town!

There are great spaces here. You can have your pets, kids, bike, walk, enjoy the river or event listen to a show at the Amphitheater without a ticket. But, there is little diversity in the type of shopping you can do - and I don’t mean variety. Why they would develop this space and not have a place for quick and easy snacks, drinks or more casual places for dinning is beyond me; other than the price of the rent. I love REI and they are an anchor in this area and I love what they did with the store and what they offer. But I only found one place to simply stop and have a quick meal/snack and maybe a beer. A great location to stay in a nearby hotel and explore Bend but there was a reason people that came to the area had brought coolers and food from other places.

I had never been to Bend before and one of the number spots I was told to visit was Old Mill District and I must say it was... Generic. All the shops are either alcohol sellers or typical shopping mall stores I can go to anywhere. It is well managed and the walking paths around it are nice, but the only store I actually enjoyed visiting what the M's Bakery; that place is superb

I absolutely love this place and want to give it five stars, but they are really dropping the ball on the bathrooms this year and I’ve been coming here for years so that just makes me really sad to see. There is never toilet seat covers anymore, and every other night there is not toilet paper. I really feel like the old mill holds a higher standard than the way these bathrooms have been looking lately so I am very happy to return the five stars when they clean up. Other than that excellent shopping area excellent food area. But definitely have dropped the ball on an important staple of a shopping area: restrooms.

Divided into two main sections, one part runs through the vibrant Old Mill District, where visitors can enjoy shopping and dining while taking in scenic views. The other section extends from Farewell Bend Park to Riverbend Park, providing a delightful loop for hiking or biking amidst lush riparian landscapes.
Beautiful trails.. And it's semi hiking if you choose, or just a beautiful walk

Awesome sauce. Love this trail! So relaxing and nice to walk in nature. I highly recommend this to anyone
Shawn L — Google review
The Deschutes River trail is a very accessible 2.5 mile loop that starts from Farewell Bend Park. The park acts as a trailhead and has very limited parking so you may have to go to the other side where there is a larger parking lot. If you are lucky and get a space it is a beautiful Green Park with lots to do including a playground for kids and wonderful River access. The trail itself is multi-directional and is wide in most spaces. Conditioning required is limited with moderate hills and mostly flat trails. Many people utilize this trail for family walks or trail running. Dogs are welcomed the bikes are not. This is a purely pedestrian trail. Views are wonderful and it is a great way to enjoy some exercise. Essentially you hike a little bit over a mile into a bridge that loops you back the other way. Definitely a must-do. If you want to extend the walk / hike just continue through the park on the paved trails.
D. S — Google review
What a great trail right in the heart of Bend. You can walk across the river and around the city to walk as far as you want. The trail out into the woods and over the bridge is beautiful. Great place for your dog to hike and go into the water on warm days. We are here in October and the fall leaves were beautiful. We want to come back during the summer to tube and paddle board on the river. Bend has done a great job creating such a great community hub. Must visit if you are in Bend.
Lisa L — Google review
Awesome park. Lots of people walking the trail. Adults and children with their dogs. I saw a lot of kids walking with their teachers and watching nature. Lots of dogs. I loved walking right next to the river although I saw some bikers using another trail nearby. Beautiful trees and lots of birds.

Always a favorite! This is a popular place: if you’re an extrovert, go on the weekend; if you’re an introvert, avoid the weekends. It’s a delightfully river-oriented trail with views much of the way. Some hills, lots of nice dirt underfoot with a few rocky spots, and lots of easy hiking overall. The Deschutes River is one of our prime gems of Central Oregon—don’t miss this trail for some easy exercise in beauty very close to downtown and the Old Mill.

A wonderful local hangout. Music on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays featuring bluegrass, local artists, singer/songwriters and Jazz on most Saturdays. The beer selection rotates and we almost always find at least 2 kinds that we enjoy. There is a no booze selection as well as local ciders and wine. The bartenders are amazing. Food trucks have a very wide selection of cusine. Everything from Thai, Mexican (the birria is best in town) Japanese, Italian and not to be missed Niks snacks which specializes in all homemade smoked pork, tri tip, chili con carne and fries that will blow your mind. Served with not from a bucket, side sauce’s. Dog friendly, kid friendly, outdoor fire pits and lots of action outside on the patio in warm months. Ample parking!🤗

We had a fun afternoon floating down the deschutes river. It took around 2 hours. It’s a local thing to do in Bend. For $18 per person you can rent an individual float tube. Starting June 22, the shuttle service will start, as floating down river is a 1-way trip from the old mill district to Drake park. You cross under 5 bridges & go through 1 area of small rapids. There are also kayaks for rent, but those can go fast in the summer without an advance reservation. We went a week ago on a warm day- the water was still ice-cold from the snow melt but still comfortable.

Wall Street Suites is a charming and updated roadside lodging located at the northern edge of downtown Bend, Oregon. The hotel offers rustic-chic decor, luxurious bathrooms, fire pits, and loaner bikes for guests to enjoy. It is known for being one of the most dog-friendly hotels in the area, with several dog-friendly rooms and an on-site off-leash dog park.
This motel is absolutely incredible. Spotless, smells amazing, and they even had my dog’s name written on a chalkboard at check-in! I popped in to grab some condiments and the manager remembered my name - such a personal touch. There’s a really cool little dog park on the property too. It just feels like home here. Such a special experience for my girlfriend and me!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wall Street Suites in Bend! My main goal was someplace dog friendly and they went above and beyond. The Deschutes River suite was perfect for me and my husband and our two dogs. They had a couch cover for the pups (who does that??), and beds and treats and dog dishes. So sweet. But the room itself was clearly remodeled and was very comfortable with a good amount of space - the bed was awesome. The bathroom had two huge skylights so we never even had to turn on the lights in there, it almost felt like you were showering outside. Very convenient location, close to downtown and the river and parks, we just walked everywhere! The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly. Lovely stay, we'd definitely go back :)

We appreciated the extra space, full kitchen and pet amenities which made traveling with a dog a breeze. The location was perfect - quick walk to the downtown shopping core and very close to beautiful parks and river walk path. It’s a luxury to have a full kitchen for left overs, ice for water bottles and making coffee/tea on demand. We enjoyed the shower and lovely amenities and the dog got pampered too. The drive up convenience made loading and unloading simple. The hotel was quaint, roomy, quiet and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - especially if traveling with kids or pets.

I wanted to stay at Wall Street Suites because I really enjoy places where they have renovated 50's and 60's motels. Great location, close to everything and excellent staff. Highly recommended.

McKay Cottage Restaurant is a charming eatery located in a converted 1916 Craftsman-style bungalow, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere for diners. The restaurant serves up classic comfort dishes with a unique twist, including their famous McKay Cottage potatoes and delectable croissant-style French toast. In addition to the mouthwatering breakfast fare, the on-site bakery produces an array of baked goods and desserts.
McKay Cottage is better than the reviews say! The food and wait staff were both absolutely wonderful. My wife and I started off with a Pecan Sticky Bun, Marionberry Bread Pudding, and some Lemonade while we waited for a table. After a brief and relaxing wait, we were seated in a quaint outdoor gazebo/tent which offered a nice reprieve from the lovely sunshine. We then ordered the Biscuits and Gravy—which had the most flavorful sausage gravy I've ever tasted smothered on top of the best biscuits you'll ever taste, along with some perfectly crispy potatoes and homemade ketchup–as well as the Carnitas Hash—which had the perfect balance of pepper, tang, and savory of any hash I've had in years! Josie was our waitress, and she was perfectly attentive to our needs and was extraordinarily kind. We will be back again, next time to try out the delicious cocktails!

Yup, the food is good. Flavor profile abounds. Seating is tight, and the service is splendid. We arrived for breakfast and was told it would be 25 to 30 minute wait. They offered a comfortable outside waiting area with free coffee. The wait was only about 20 minutes. Perfect execution of under promes and over deliver. Hard to mess up breakfast, and they did. not. Bacon was crispy. Eggs cooked as ordered. Potatoes were over the top good, crispy without being greasy. Scone was OK, not all that, but serviceable. Parking is a bit of a pain, but it is worth it.

We enjoyed our breakfast here on a recent weekend visit to Bend. The food was very fresh and the portion sizes were very much larger than I thought they’d be. I definitely too much food. This is a nice spot but be prepared to spend quite a bit. We sat out side and the weather was perfect and the seating area was very accommodating.

My family and friends ate Sunday brunch here while on a weekend trip to Bend. The staff were super friendly and the waiting environment outside was excellent. We loved the free coffee and fireside seating. Once inside, we sat outside and really enjoyed the cozy blanks on the chairs. This blanket feature was the most enjoyable and unexpected aspect of our meal. The food was plentiful, but arrived slightly cool and seemed to need extra salt to enhance the flavor. Not sure if we just got a bland batch of dishes, but we were surprised that we needed to request extra salt. Overall, this dining experience was delightful and highly recommended despite the seasoning deficiency.

Had the pleasure of dining with a lovely lady on a nice fall day in November. We had Sunday Brunch in early afternoon with a few couples and groups waiting ahead of us. However, a 20-minute wait in a comfortable seat with something to drink in a nice setting seemed fine, no problem. The food was amazingly delicious! It was all I could eat, and my date took some home. The atmosphere was sunny and bright, nicely decorated, and appropriate for semi-formal dining. The service was totally, absolutely awesome! They really took care of us! Recommended! Will definitely return!

My wife and I stopped here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We were early enough that parking was easy and didn’t have to wait for a table outside. We ordered a breakfast burrito and French toast. The burrito was huge! Both meals were delicious. Our server was so kind! They gave us to go coffee cups!

⭐️ Brunch Bliss🌟 I had the lemon ricotta pancake topped with fresh berries, with a side of crispy bacon, eggs, and a caramel latte. I thought it was going to be a sugar overload, but it had just the right balance of lemon and sweetness. The pancake was light and fluffy, and it paired perfectly with the savory bacon and eggs. The caramel latte added the perfect cozy touch to finish it off. Everything was delicious and beautifully balanced, such a lovely way to start the morning ☀️

Someone picked up the phone right away and seemed friendly about answered backpacking questions. I totally understand that they don’t want to/don’t have time to plan people’s backpacking trips for them. That’s not their job. But I was trying to keep my questions concise and logistical (in total, the call was less than 4 minutes) Anyway, he entertained them at first but seemed incredibly hasty trying to get me off the phone, interrupting to say “Is there anything else I can help you with?” And then hanging up as soon as I said “Uh, I guess not.” I was really surprised with the abruptness!

Stop your burning. Only the forest service can take a beautiful spring day and turn it ugly. Woke up by smoke, 3 am had to close all windows and try to make sense of what are these burn plans really doing. ? It’s over the top, the smoke has to be hurting us.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of standard beers as well as unique experimental offerings at this brewpub.
Thank you, Goodlife! We were in town visiting and stopped in for lunch. It was delicious! The grilled bacon and mac n cheese was unique and to die for. The spicy turkey sandwich and side salad were so fresh and tasty. The beer, of course, refreshing. Our waiter was amazing and talked us into the stout brownie dessert to share, which was sinfully delicious. A to go box was needed. We left very happy and will be back again.

Great “backyard” area with a playground for kids, turf, and a gas fire pit. The inside is a little smaller than others but not terrible. They had their own and a pizza food truck. We tried the pizza and it was good. Beer wasn’t bad at all.

Exceptional outdoor area for family and friends. Delicious drink options. Whether beer or spirits there's something for everyone. Plenty of non-alcoholic too. The pub is a bit small but the "pub" description dictates this. The food truck has good bites and of course the pub has a great menu too.

Had not been here in a few years! Great atmosphere, very friendly server, fun merch and the food was very tasty! I asked for some logo stickers but they were out so she gave me some cool keg stickers!

Great little brewery, with a nice variety of beers on tap. Friendly service, plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Not a very lively atmosphere or crowded when I stopped by Saturday afternoon. Beers to go plus usual swag. Food looked good.

Terrific gin. This is a perfect location for me; great beer for husband and delicious gin distilled on site. You know it's good when I order a second. Great patio area, dog friendly and additional comfy seating to move around the tables. Very friendly service. Highly recommend and a definite addition to future visits to Bend.

Beer review only. They have food but I didn't try it. I just had their Sippy Cup, a hazy style pale ale. It is juicy and has an aftertaste of passion fruit. It's really yummy even after 3 beers. They gave me a try of what they are proud of, a pale ale that won medals, the sweet As. I don't even like pale ale but it's very hoppy and fragrant and it's very delicious. This pale ale would have turn me but their hazy pale ale is so delicious that I cannot resist. They definitely know how to do beer. Super friendly staff. Dog and kid friendly outside in the beer garden.

Love the course, its one of my favorites in oregon. Beautiful views of the sisters. Great variety of holes to enjoy. I recommend going early before it heats up. Limited bathroom access while you play and the lava rock will chew up your disc's. Besides that, the course is excellent and i'd gladly chew up a few drivers to enjoy this course.

Great park! Sports field, pickleball courts, disc golf course, beach volleyball, walking paths. Huge off leash, fenced dog area with a much smaller section for small dogs. The dog area has a mixture of both natural areas and a large grassy field. Quite a few benches, picnic tables, doggy bags, and garbage cans are scattered within the area. During the summer, the sprinklers go off on the grassy field and my pup loves it. Lots of parking available as well. Really love coming here!

Cascade Lakes Pub on Reed Market is a delightful destination for both locals and visitors in Central Oregon. Established in 1994, this innovative brewery and eatery offers a unique blend of craft beers and delicious gastropub fare. The inviting atmosphere features a dog-friendly patio where you can relax with your furry friends while enjoying the rustic yet stylish ambiance. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly vibe, complete with video games to keep the little ones entertained.
Great new place in Bend, and especially needed on Bend's burgeoning East Side. The food is excellent, cooked right, with great flavors. I tried the dry ranch rub wings, which were very good (the picture shows eight, but that's because I already ate two!). I also had the turkey bacon club with French fries and fry sauce. They don't skimp on the turkey, and the bacon was cooked perfectly, crispy but not overcooked, and all-around great flavor. Fry sauce was unique and delicious! I also had their barrel aged stout, which was seriously good. Service was top-notch! Sean, the bartender, was attentive and checked in multiple times to see how everything was and if I needed anything. Perfect amount of checking in on me without being annoying. I did visit midday, so it wasn't too busy but still had a fair amount of customers, and the staff were on top of everything. Sean even accommodate a custom drink order for a pair of customers, which they enjoyed and appreciated. I highly recommend this place and will be visiting again.... and again!

Anywhere else and it would be awesome but it's always disappointing cause they didn't bring their "A" game. Wait staff have a terrible cadence and order. Drinks are weak, beer is OK. Food is good highlighting fresh/local but expensive. The atmosphere is nice with a rustic modern look. Outside seating is available. I go here annually to remind myself why I don't go here more often.

This was place has, very friendly, and the servers are very attentive, to our needs. I we had the Italian cold cut sandwiches which we split amd had the sweet potato fries, they offer to split the page in the back, whichbI thought was very thoughtful since I came in with a senior. It was a great dining experience. The price for the quality of food & service was well deserved. Ms. Loree ❤️🙏

Waited a long time standing beside the sign that said for me to wait to be seated. Finally, someone came by and said for me to see myself. We start on the bar side of the restaurant, but we wanted to have food so when we got our drinks, I tried to tell her that we wanted to order food, but she walked off so fast. I don’t think she heard me. She never came back and neither did anybody else so after about 20 minutes I finally was able to Get someone to take our order. I ordered ribs and brisket platter. The brisket was so dry and hard I couldn’t eat it. The ribs were tough and dry. We waited for someone to come back so that we could pay but ended up having to find someone again because no one came back to our table after delivering the food. The chips that my friend ordered were OK but all in all it was a horrible experience.
Mara S — Google review
We came in to get a bite to eat and visit with some friends from out of town. It's a nice place with a casual atmosphere. We started with their warm pretzel bites with queso and sweet brown mustard and followed up with a very generous and fresh Cobb salad. I had one of their Elk Camp lager and my friends had one of their ciders. Our server was friendly and attentive. No complaints here! Cascade lakes pub is definitely a " do again place"
Ivan H — Google review
Such a great place to stop on and have adult beverages and or get a bite to eat. Our food was very good despite the Shrimp Bowl having spicy seasoning/sauce that made it impossible for me to eat as I don't like spicy. For someone who likes spicy heat, it was said to be very good. Super friendly staff, our Server took extra time to engage with my 5-year-old granddaughter. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and signature cocktails as well as beer on tap. The issue with my food is more on me. I should have asked what "crack sauce" was and asked if the aoli was mild spicy or hot spicy.

Big Sky Park is a vast recreational facility located in Bend's River West neighborhood. It features an athletic complex, a BMX track, off-leash dog areas, and playgrounds, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The park offers natural walking trails for exploration and is known as a great spot for family photoshoots with pets. Additionally, the park includes sports fields hosting various activities such as soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and softball.
Pump track is super fun. Bmx track fenced but looks great. Lots of other activities for bike riders, playgrounds for kids.
Pump L — Google review
Used to be my favorite park in the neighborhood. For over ten years I would have rated 5/5. They are making changes to suit out of town visitors, and making the dog park less than ideal for long time residents. The fenced dog area used to have lush grass, now it’s a patch of dirt. We don’t go in the fenced area anymore because it is so unpleasant. They seem to prioritize keeping the sporting fields in tip top shape because they have tons of sporting events in spring and summer which probably bring them in tons of money. But what about the residents of bend who use the park year round? Myself and tons of other residents in the area used to love wandering through the brush with our dogs off lead. Now they’ve created paths and have made bike paths. Many of them specifically prohibit dogs even on lead (bike paths through a dog park, really?). Can’t you keep the bikes on the BMX side of the park? You’ve taken away two of the things that made this place so great for dog owners. Because there’s no grass in the dog area and it’s dusty and disgusting, myself and many others use the sports fields to play fetch and run our dogs. Now we get pestered by the park rangers about keeping dogs on lead. If there is no event, if you clean after your dog, if your dog is under your control, leave us alone. There is a code for verbal leash laws in bend. Park used to be a favorite in Bend, now it is less than ideal and catered to out of town visitors. Probably not much to be done about the bike paths through the walking trails at this point. But at least put in grass in the fenced dog area. Maybe then people wouldn’t need to utilize the sports fields to exercise their dogs.
J. B — Google review
Great bike park for kids and adults of all skill levels. Lots of options to improve and enjoy riding.
Jacob F — Google review
Love to come here to walk with the stream and decompress, or have lunch watching the marmots scuttle around on the rocks. Makes my kiddo happy to play on the playground, even if they're usually the oldest there, and it seems a little cliquey. We haven't tried the pump track yet, but watching other kids ride always hypes mine up for adventure on their wheels back at home!

I recently moved to the neighborhood and Big Sky Park has quickly become one of my favorite spots. It’s spacious, clean, and has something for everyone -great walking trails, a dog park, sports fields, and even a skatepark. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

Colt R — Google review
This would be a wonderful 5-star park, but leash laws aren’t enforced, and there are off-leash dogs all over the sports fields (ew) and trails in the mornings, despite there being a nice large fenced dog park. If you’re with your child or walking a leashed dog, it doesn’t feel safe. I keep hoping to see Animal Control vehicles visiting and officers handing out tickets, but Bend can’t be bothered with anything but signs that these entitled dog owners all ignore.

Amazing service! I have received a complimentary upgrade becoming a member paired with complimentary drink. Their restaurant has a great value of happy hours menu. Beautiful view to the river. Spacious cleaned rooms with cozy fire pit on the balcony on the first floor.
Yulia L — Google review
The hotel itself has many convenient amenities including a great restaurant and pool, but the two rooms we stayed in (lower part of the hotel) were awful. We had one river-facing room with a deck and fire pit and another ADA accessible room. Both rooms were decorated nicely and looked clean, but were incredibly musty and smelled so bad (as if someone had smoked in them recently even though they are non-smoking rooms) that we bought plug-in air fresheners at the store and used them for the 2 nights we were there. The river-facing room also had bed bugs, which we unfortunately discovered too late, after they bit us multiple times. Bed bug bites are linear and easy to distinguish. We should have known something was up when we got into bed the first night and felt itchy. We did not check for bed bugs like we should have done but if we had, we absolutely would have asked for a refund and found other accommodations. Clean beds should be the bare minimum at any hotel charging this much per night. This hotel desperately needs to fumigate, replace the musty old carpets, and the beds and linens as needed. I am so disappointed. This was a lovely father-daughter family trip that was overshadowed by the awful stench of the rooms and lingering bed beg bites that we are still healing from a week later! An important note about the ADA room: the built-in shower chairs are NOT very accessible or safe for those with limited mobility and/or those who are partially paralyzed. The way the shower chairs are installed requires the wheelchair user to angle their wheelchair towards the bath tub and transfer onto the chair, but the angle of the built in shower chairs and the proximity of it from the person’s wheelchair makes this **nearly impossible and incredibly dangerous** for transferring. We suggest working with a disability advocate to learn more about how wheelchair users actually use the ADA features so they can become truly accessible. We ended up having to purchase a shower chair for our dad at the local home depot and use that instead of the built-in one at the hotel.

We spent three days at the Riverhouse Lodge, in Bend, Oregon in October, 2025. We would stay here again without hesitation. A very relaxing and enjoyable place to spend part of your vacation. There are three buildings at the lodge and all have nice, clean, large rooms. Two of the buildings are on either side of the Deschutes River. Some of the rooms at the lodge have fire pits on their patio. The rooms on the west side of the river are connected to the east side (with the restaurant, bar, game room, and guest check in) by a walking bridge. Walking across the bridge to breakfast allows you to see the beauty of the river as it runs through town. The restaurant has good menus for all meals but there are some wonderful restaurants in town if you’re looking for other options. If you do eat in the lodge restaurant, ask for servers Dave or Taryn (like Karen but spelled with a “T”). They are fun and will take good care of you. Other benefits to staying at the Riverhouse Lodge include a steam room, dry sauna, and two pools; one indoors and one outdoors. There is a family-type room for kids that plays movies to keep them occupied. If you’re visiting in October, keep your eyes open for deer migrating down from the high country. If you’re going to stay in Bend, we strongly suggest the Riverhouse Lodge.

Don’t stay here. You’ll be charge incorrectly and won’t be refunded. It’s like they don’t understand what they are doing. Lady at the front gave us the wrong receipt at checkout. Freaking us out thinking we would be charge over 1k. We paid through third party on their site called flex pay . So we were so confused as we looked closely at our receipt it had some others guy name on it, their total and their room number. After we got correct receipt, we were told pending charge would fall off since we had paid with third party. It ended up clearing my account and giving me an overdraft fee with my bank. We called and we were reassure of a refund and it’s been a week and nothing. All they did was email a receipt again. This has been a very frustrating situation. I figure booking a nicer place would be easy peasy and it has not. We were also charge for parking although I prepay this and thankfully this was refunded. But it’s like they seem so careless and like they don’t like really pay attention to what they are doing. Our room was pretty dusty. My husband and I kept sneezing. The sink was like back up. We ran out of body wash in our room on our first shower. It’s like they never bother to check the room to make sure it would be good for someone to stay with. It was just a whole mess. We weren’t happy and for what we paid not worth it. Who knows if they will refund us? At this point I rather dispute it with my bank. Don’t bother with this place unless you don’t mind the service or being charge incorrectly.

A verybniv we place to stay, nice rooms and the river running between the different room building is beautiful. The facility is showing its age a bit, but still very nice and clean. My family and I had rented several rooms at the establishment for my father's memorial in Bend. It was a beautiful well kept and peaceful hotel it felt like a resort. Making s'mores and gathering around together to swim hang out and eat at this property. My daughter was able to bring her dog which was invaluable because the dog is very elderly and has issues that are concerning but she was made very comfortable and enjoyed the stay as well. My room was literally facing the river it was gorgeous and the pool was very clean and well kept along with the hot tub it was definitely a family vibe I would recommend this place to anyone who is traveling to the Bend area

I recently stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Though it is an older hotel it is very well-maintained and has great rooms and large comfortable beds! The amenities and bathrooms are very nice and clean. The rooms come with hairdryer and a decent closet with an ironing board and iron. A small kitchenette with a small refrigerator and microwave for convenience. The best part is their continental breakfast! A lot of food to eat as a courtesy to their customers every morning! I spoke with Darci, who is in charge of the kitchen and she did a wonderful job, keeping the tables clean, and the kitchen picked up with fresh eggs and sausage coming. Hands off to her she did an excellent job! The hotel does not have an elevator being it’s an older hotel. But it’s only two floors so it’s very doable. Nice pool and Jacuzzi for children. I think they may need to do some updates by removing the rugs in the halls and the rooms. But other than that, they were kept very clean! A great staff as well!.Recommend this hotel.

Great staff, check-in process was super fast. Breakfast was really good, not only they had eggs and sausages like most places but they had a little area with spinach, cheese and salsa. Very good if you’re looking for a healthier option. The waffles were good too. The room was very clean but a little noisy, we could hear the laundry going on and seems like very thin walls.

Our room was small but everything else about our stay was GREAT. All 4 front desk people were helpful, positive, and knowledgeable. I needed dish soap & one person went out of their way to find some. The indoor pool here was clean even at 10PM- open until 11 pm. Relaxing after a long day & late arrival. OK environment for walking our Service Dog: we were given a room with easy outside access. Shower fine also. One street off the main highway, so it was quiet. Full breakfast saved us money & time in the morning.

You can tell that the owner and the employees take pride in this little hotel. Fresh planted flowers outside, delicious organic tea, quality make up wipes in the room, and the staff seems energetic and enthusiastic. We stayed twice and two different rooms and really had a great experience.

Review of La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Bend, Oregon I’m extremely disappointed and disturbed by the treatment my elderly parents received during their stay at La Quinta Inn in Bend, Oregon. My mother (age 72) and father, both seniors, were visiting the area and checked into this location expecting a basic level of respect and accommodation. Instead, they were met with unprofessionalism, poor communication, and outright hostility. From the beginning, the room they were given had a non-functional shower is an unacceptable issue for any guest, let alone seniors who rely on accessible facilities. My mother waited patiently at the front desk to inform the staff, but there was no one present. Eventually, when she did speak up to explain the issue, the staff perceived her as “rude” simply for trying to get someone’s attention. Rather than showing concern for the broken shower or apologizing for the delay, the manager threatened to evict them from the property. I personally drove to the hotel and took video evidence of the broken shower to confirm the issue and to ensure this wasn’t a misunderstanding. Despite this, the staff still refused to fix the problem, made no attempt to communicate or resolve the issue, and continued to treat my parents with suspicion and aggression. Telling elderly guests to “shut their mouth or get out” is more than just bad customer service, it’s deeply unethical and potentially discriminatory. Guests deserve to be treated with dignity, and maintenance issues should be addressed promptly and respectfully, especially when documented and brought to the hotel’s attention. This experience was distressing and humiliating for my parents. I strongly urge management to review how they handle guest complaints, especially when it involves vulnerable individuals. Until then, I cannot recommend this property to anyone and especially families with elderly travelers.

This location is quite a good deal. It has easy access to most places in Bend, OR without being obscenely expensive. Wanted to use the pool and spa but we were just too tired lol. It did look very clean and well kept. The included free breakfast was actually quite good. There were mixed flavors of mini muffins, cereal, bagels, English muffins and bread plus a toaster for them. Scrambled eggs that were a pleasant surprise, brown and serve sausage and make you own waffles that were also a surprise. Fresh mixed fruit for toppings as well as prerequisite jams / jellies and butter and syrups. Yogurt and whipped cream are also provided. Standard drinks of two coffees (dark and breakfast) plus flavored creamers, but no decaf, which was disappointing, orange and apple juice and a couple other options like ensure. The staff in this room were amazing. It was very clean and well stocked. Rooms were clean but slightly on the small side with no table to eat or play games at and the tv was the biggest disappointment with lots of interference despite the decent choices of channels. There is an alcove like area that holds the microwave and single cup coffee maker, that does include two decaf pods plus a regular pod. The furniture was high quality but pretty standard. Clock and bedside lamps had charging ports and electrical outlets built in which is a very nice feature. Room AC was very powerful with wall thermostat / controls as well as on board control panel. Beds were clean and comfortable but pillows were lumpy. Standard white hotel towels of good quality but nothing special. The included soaps were a surprise with Dove shampoo and conditioner pumps in shower caddy plus dove body soap at sink plus standard small bar of hand soap. The sink is accessible even when someone is busy taking a shower or using the toilet. Smart design with a door separating the sink from shower/toilet area. Shower is standard tub shower design with standard showerhead. Great water pressure but temperature is subject to change. All in all a very good choice for those on a budget but still want some luxury. Would rank this near the top of sub $100 a night hotels in the area. edit post script: I did read some other reviews just to confirm my suspicions about Ben the "manager", who seemed particularly useless and the property would be much better off without him. I did not see him do a single thing while we were there. He sat and read the paper or played on the computer. He did NOT engage with the patrons or do work of ANY kind that I could see. He was absolutely useless. Unless he is an absolute genius in some other unseen / unknown way, Ben seems much more of a liability than an asset.

Nestled in the vibrant shopping district of Bend, Oregon, the Red Lion Inn & Suites Deschutes River Bend offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. This down-to-earth hotel features cozy rooms and suites that are pet-friendly, allowing you to bring along your furry companions for an additional fee. Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast each morning before taking a dip in the well-maintained outdoor pool.
The room I had was nice. The sheets were nice and it had a mini fridge and iron hairdryer which was helpful and wasn't generally good condition. We got a group rate because we were at a conference of $100 a night which was a great deal and we could walk to the convention center next door which is also a very nice place to host an event. The breakfast bar is very modest but overall it's a good value. The room would have been $200 at the normal rate. It's next to a large mall with a natural grocers where I went to get some items for my room. There's a lot of traffic and a large road but traffic signals and sidewalks so you can navigate.

This place is a pet-friendly accommodation with a grassy field and small walking trail nearby, perfect for taking dogs on walks. It seems to be managed quite well. The guest rooms have been remodeled and feature large TVs and high-quality beds. Daily room cleaning is provided. While the breakfast isn’t particularly fancy, it includes scrambled eggs, bagels, soup, oatmeal, and dairy products, all offered for free. Electric vehicle charging is available, and the thoughtful amenities for guests were better than expected. Shopping at Kohls and TJ Maxx is within walking distance, and every morning, I created a 2.2-mile round trip trail to Sawyer Park with my dog. The park includes a fishing trail and a grassy area roughly the size of a soccer field, allowing for some time to play fetch with my dog. Its location, situated between downtown and Redmond, made access to various places very convenient. The staff were friendly, it was a pleasant stay, and I plan to visit again in the future.
Kai D — Google review
I would probably give it 2.5 if that was an option. When I look for a hotel, I just look for 4 things a decent bed, and working TV, AC/heat and bathroom. This got 3 of 4. If you are just looking for a bare-bones room with a place to put your head for a night or 2, it's OK. The TV crapped out twice in the two days I was there which is a big reason why the overall rating was lower. It's also close to a major road so lots of road noise. The EV charger is also pretty expensive but there are other, cheaper fast chargers within 10 minutes. The desk people were pretty good. The breakfast was pretty decent and the location was relatively close to a lot of things to do in Bend. Given the the price, it was Ok, but not great.
Kent H — Google review
This place is not entirely bad. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. There is a fair amount of road noise and the rooms are on the smaller side. It was clean, though. I didn’t use the EV charger as I had no idea what the pricing was. At some other hotels, there is no fee and you can just plug in and go to bed. Depends on electric rates, I imagine. I didn’t try the breakfast, but it looked OK.

10 days after check out and this hotel is still holding $40 incidentals reserved on my credit card. Despite several emails generic explanation was given that it is my bank's fault which is not true. Never had such an issue with other hotels or my bank.
Brigita Z — Google review
there were carpenter ants along the seams that were collecting cat kibble scraps and litter and there was a roach nymph in the bathroom. It’s not a bad place if you don’t have pets, but the bugs made staying here a little difficult. But it’s expected with kibble on the floor. Housekeeping was great, had everything we needed and was good about keeping transients off the property.

Our stay was great. Location is conveniently close to just about everything you would want to do, room was clean and comfy, staff were friendly, and overall nice environment. Definitely will be staying here again in the future.
Carina M — Google review
Stayed 5 nights last week. The first room, there was a huge gap between the door and the frame. The bottom part of the deadbolt did not go into the door jamb hardly at all. I did not feel safe in there. So I asked for a different room. The attendant was very helpful and gave me a different room without any questions. The second room was clean visually, but the floors probably haven’t been mopped for weeks. Just placing our bare feet on the floor it became black immediately; which is pretty disgusting to experience. The tub area is old and has some black mold around it. No exhaust fan in there…. This room also had a gap around the door and I could see daylight, but it was way better than the first door. The hotel is very close to a very busy (several lanes of traffic) street so it’s pretty noisy. There aren’t any elevators so keep that in mind when you book if you can carry your luggage and stuff up and down the stairs. The free breakfast was okay. No fresh fruit. The biscuits and gravy was served daily as were scrambled eggs and sausage. I would stay again but I will clean my own floor next time so I know it’s clean. Maybe my standards were too high but for $1009 for 5 nights it should have had clean floors. I’ve included photos.

Nestled along the vibrant Third Avenue, Waypoint Hotel is a delightful retreat that caters to both humans and their furry companions. This trendy boutique hotel features 110 well-appointed guest rooms designed for comfort, making it tempting to linger indoors. Guests can unwind in the outdoor hot tub or take a refreshing dip in the seasonal pool while enjoying local craft beers and ciders available in the lobby.
Excellent experience. The whole place has a great, comfy, inviting vibe. The room was cozy and I didn’t have any issues with any of the amenities. The pool was almost as warm as the hot tub. Staff was beyond friendly, and it was only a few minutes walk to the old mill district (shops, bars, parks, restaurants). 10/10 would stay again.

The room we got was not quiet banging an so loud all around. But was clean an comfortable for us. Black Bear diner right on the same lot was good an friendly. All in all still a 4 star I will definitely stay again.
Samantha K — Google review
The rooms are large and very clean with good amenities. Laundry and Gym are small but has the essentials. This hotel is perfect if you a car but not so ideal if on foot walking to town. If I had to be critical the bike rental is too expensive but otherwise would definitely stay again.

Waypoint Hotel is one of my favorite hotels where I stayed in the US. The room was very spacious with a California King Size bed, a comfortable couch and a large desk to work on. There are a jacuzzi and swimming pool outside and the shower in the room is high enough for a 6”5 tall person. Last but definitely not least, I loved the hotel lobby with fireplace and comfy couches, perfect place to read a book and enjoy one of their craft beers. All with all, I loved staying here!
Edwin — Google review
Really enjoyed our stay here. Love the design of the place, cool vibe. Can hang out in lobby and have a beer. Room had everything we needed and a unique shelving system that is great if you have a lot of gear. Staff super friendly and helpful. Has a pool & fitness center. Conveniently located right by the highway, conveniently located to attractions. Good value for money.
Beth F — Google review
The rooms are nice and updated but a little small. We easily ubered to town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking or having a beer or two at one of the many breweries. Our room was on the first floor but unfortunately it was right in front of the pool/jacuzzi. The hotel was sold out and full of kids for a baseball tournament. The pool was loaded with kids till 10pm (which is pool closing time) but kids were running around till after 11pm. I get it, they were having fun but when you want to sleep, it was nearly impossible. Granted, it was a Saturday and Sunday on a holiday weekend the price for the room was rather on the high end for what you get. We would consider staying here again depending on price and definitely not a room near the pool.
Annemarie H — Google review
I’m baffled as to why this establishment calls itself a hotel. No inside hallways, no elevators, difficult to find parking during Fairwell Festival as so many people pile in one room. The beds are hard, the pillows were lumpy, the towels and toilet paper were like sandpaper (we ended up buying our own), the a/c took forever to cool the room down because it’s actually so far from the living space it only cools the bathroom. It’s not close to the festival at all, and the street to access the driveway is exceedingly busy. It was loud almost all night long because people post party. Some of us want to enjoy music AND sleep separately. We paid $400/night. That’s ridiculous for what we got. They know they have you because there aren’t many options. The pictures are deceptive. The lobby is great but the rest of the place isn’t much better than a “rusted roof” motel. We won’t be returning there for the festival, I’d honestly rather camp in the heat or drive in from a distant city.
Audra — Google review
Loved this remodeled boutique hotel. First night we arrived we enjoyed the comedy show I purchased tickets for when I made the reservation. They have a lively lobby with roaring fireplace, a necessity shop, in case you forgot something & the restaurant/bar. The pool was closed but we saw some patrons using the hot tub. I brought my dog, for a very reasonable pet fee. The dog facility outside was great, complete with bags & garbage. The accommodations inside were modern & the beds & linens were comfortable. They even provided bath sheets, a first for me. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

LOGE Bend is a laid-back lodge located on the western edge of Bend, Oregon. It offers easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking and biking trails, with Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade Lakes just a short drive away. The lodge features an outdoor pool, ski lockers, and amenities like food trucks, fire pits, a coffee bar, bike rentals, and live music events in the summer.
This is the perfect Bend hotel! We took complimentary mountain bikes onto the trail right from the hotel. We loved the hammock in the room. The outdoor space was perfect, and we loved the lobby with games, coffee, and beer! The service from everyone was very kind and helpful. We can't wait to come stay again, and try out the hotel locations. I wish we had stayed longer so we could have more time just to hang out on site.
Kayla A — Google review
Perfect set up for bikers, families, people traveling with dogs. The hammocks in the rooms are very inviting for older kids. There is a $25 amenity fee that gets tacked on whether you use their gear or not, that seemed a little misleading as it seems like you'd only pay it if you were using the float tubes or other "extras". Overall, a good place with nice people staying and working there.
Holly H — Google review
I stayed by myself for one night. It felt like a motel for outdoorsy people. The room was pretty basic but had the necessities. Rooms are dog friendly and mine smelled a bit doggy. Otherwise it was clean and well kept and the bed was comfortable. The pool and spa were really nice although didn’t open until 10am. The best part was the complimentary mountain bike and the proximity to bike trails. Staff were available if needed but otherwise it was a solitary experience.
Tracey H — Google review
Overall a pleasant stay with some great touches. The staff were truly fantastic—warm, helpful, and welcoming—and we loved the concept of having gear available to borrow, plus affordable pints of excellent beer in the lobby. It’s a fun, family-friendly place with thoughtful amenities. That said, it wasn’t quite what we expected for the price and based on the website. The pool and hot tub are located right next to the road, and the hot tub is covered and enclosed rather than open to the forest, which felt less relaxing than we’d hoped. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, though a few features could use an update. Overall, a good option, especially for families—just not a social, fun couples' escape we were envisioning.
Kate C — Google review
We’ve never stayed at a Loge before, but wanted a less expensive place, with a cool vibe, for a quick one night stay in bend for an event. The idea is very cool for this hotel line. The rooms are creatively resigned. You truly do feel like you want to go and explore the area! We were a little dismayed at the customer service we received. We requested early check in. The website clearly stated this would make check in happen at noon. Great! We arrived at 1:00, and the reception from the receptionist was not warm. She was very abrasive, and confrontational. We were not. It wasn’t that big of a deal for us to wait an hour until she said she believed the early check in was (2:00, not noon as the website states). I’m Guessing she has been abused by previous angry customers. We weren’t angry. We just wanted to know when we could check in, maybe go the bathroom, and sip a cold beverage after a long drive. It was a strange way to start our adventure. This brings me to the other issue this particular Loge has: there is reportedly no running water in the reception area. That means no plumbing. No bathrooms….they did have a honey bucket…BUT it was full, close to the brim. After a long drive, and three ladies in the car, it created a little issue while we were waiting for the room that we thought was going to be ready. The last little thing we came across was the leak in our room. I believe it was coming from the fridge, and it appears it may have been an issue for a bit as the flooring was lifting. Water was squishing out from between the seams. We let them know upon check out, but they didn’t actually seem to care. Hopefully it gets fixed. We are property owners ourselves, and I can say with certainty that I would want to know if my property had a leak like that with the ensuing water damage. The property itself is super fun, and very convenient. There’s a ton of fun stuff to do in Bend! The rooms were clean (other than the leak).
Kerri M — Google review
Great motel just on the edge of Bend is so cool and reasonably priced. Wish I had more time to enjoy the amenities. Arrived late on a weekday for a one night stay and loved the grounds layout with multiple fire pits, cornhole boards and awesome BBQ area. Nicely decorated rooms were geared towards mountain bikers and skiers/snowboarders with bike & ski racks in the room and a hammock that I wish I would have tried out. Pricing through the LOGE Camps website was the best available. Will be coming back on future pit stops through Bend.
Andy R — Google review
We were a bit nervous to stay at a “motel” while traveling through Bend with our two dogs, but this place is amazing. The amenities are perfect for the outdoor adventurers and they’ve thought of every detail, with our favorites including the outdoor pup/bike wash station, the functional elements of the room where we could hang our bikes, dog leashes, etc, and the trails right behind the room. While the rooms aren’t luxurious, they match the price and Loge has thought of every detail that’s normally missing from hotels.
Kristen W — Google review
WOW! What an unforgettable experience! LOGE completely blew us away. From start to finish, everything felt effortless, fun, and full of adventure. The mountain bike rentals and hammocks in the room were the perfect bonuses that took our trip to the next level, but the real magic came from the people. April at the front desk was an absolute rockstar! She didn’t just check us in, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and right at home. It’s rare to meet someone who leaves such a lasting impression, but April did exactly that. Because of her our stay went from amazing to absolutely unforgettable. We’re officially hooked, LOGE fans for life and already planning to explore every single location.

Nice clean, well made room. Very good, new condition. Nothing fancy. I felt it was a little overpriced with the lack of breakfast, fitness center and pool. The parking lot was not full in the middle of summer.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Bend Oregon. It is centrally located without walking distance to downtown and Drake park. The hotel is well maintained. The staff is very friendly. The coffee is the best I have tasted. The room are big and the recliner in the room is a game changer. You don't have to lay in the bed all the time. It has a table so you can eat it also. This is a small studio with the comfort of home.

Stayed here with my family during a hot season and loved it! The kitchenette was great and the hotel was very clean. Although there were no pots in the kitchen, you could request anything you needed at the reception. Coffee was always available there too. The location is excellent. It's a budget-friendly hotel (not cheap, but reasonably priced for the area in the summer). The only thing we missed was having a pool. Taking one star off. For this price, with no breakfast, a pool would make sense.

Several things you should be aware of: this is not one of those free breakfast hotels. We notes that in the reservation but several guests seemed surprised. If you show up before 3pm they will turn you away. If you are a rewards member, let them know and they will see if there is a room available. The rooms do not have blackout curtains so bring a mask if you're not planning on getting up before dawn. The rooms weren't as noisy as some of the reviews implied but we did hear some adjacent guests muffled. The rooms are clean though older, but adequately maintained with some wear and tear.
K H — Google review
Clean, quiet budget extended stay hotel in a good location! They provide a breakfast, but it's pretty much just pastries and fruit. The kitchenettes don't include any dishes, cookware or utensils, so you'll need to provide those for yourself if you plan to do any cooking. Update: My Place responded to my review, and mentioned that some dishes, cookware and utensils are available on request.

We had a nice short stay at My Place. We had never stayed at one before and weren’t sure what to expect. When checking in I was given plenty of details regarding the room and the amenities that they had. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I’d change about our stay is that you can hear everything. We heard other rooms and outside noise fairly easy. I understand that can happen in hotels so it isn’t a deal breaker but just the one thing I noticed the most.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel—everything about it made our ski trip so much easier. The rooms are spacious, which was great for storing all our gear without feeling cluttered. Having a kitchenette was a big plus since we could make sandwiches and snacks to bring to the mountain. The included breakfast was also a nice touch, so we could grab a quick bite before heading out. The location is super convenient—just a short drive to the slopes and really close to both downtown and the Old Mill District. It was nice to have plenty of restaurants and shops nearby when we weren’t skiing. The staff was friendly, and the whole experience was smooth and hassle-free. I’d definitely stay here again.

Location was good but that was about the only positive of my recent stay at TownePlace Suites in Bend. There were two power outages during my stay, one lasting over 4 hours. While the outages were due to weather, the hotel was unprepared. No emergency lights, and no lights to light up halls or stairways. The hotel’s solution to the darkness was to hang glow stick on a couple door handles. Which did not provide nearly enough lighting to make getting around in an unfamiliar place safe. When I asked the front desk about it, they said outages like this are a common occurrence in the area- fast rolling in thunderstorms. In that case then the hotel should be better prepared with functioning safety lighting or back up lighting. Our room was outdated, with worn carpet (surprising for a pet-friendly room/hotel), a deadbolt that frequently got stuck (making closing the room door a challenge every time you used it), very outdated appliances and a dishwasher that wouldn’t close. Staff were also often eating and hanging out in the lobby/breakfast area, which came across as unprofessional and made the shared space less welcoming. Regardless of the hotels star rating, safety and professionalism should never be compromised. Previous reviews mentioned renovations months ago, but there was no sign of any updates in our room or hallway. Overall, the property felt unprepared/unsafe and poorly maintained

This the place is clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. All the front desk staff is awesome. The people that prepare the breakfast in the morning. Our great. There's a huge selection of the from fresh fruit pastries. Make your own Waffle. Por station, very good breakfast. The hotel is right next to the river within walking distance and trails. Beautiful area, pull and spa weight room. A very nice hotel they're working on renovating some rooms. We all know that as a process, but, uh haven't heard any construction going on.So that is good.Avoid snack bar. Way over priced, as safeway, is just five minutes away.If that.

I recently stayed here at the Town place Suites and was absolutely treated with the most respect, kindness and fun personalities. The hotel staff(Andrea) always went out of her way to ensure our stay was amazing. Every interaction I had with any of the hotel staff was nothing but the best. No matter our need they came through for us. Every night and day at the hotel was by far the best experience that I've ever had at a hotel. The breakfast was always point on. The rooms were so comfortable and quiet. Anything extra we needed it was provided without any hesitation. I highly recommend this place.

Not a common review poster, but this hotel did everything perfect. It was a great location to head up to Mt. Bachelor and they had amazing service; as well as amazing breakfast. The people were very friendly and helpful the whole time. Definitely recommend this spot.

Ok so I did share my pillows the first day and it sucked but I simply asked for a couple more pillows and towels at the front desk with the lady we originally checked in with(3/7@ 4pm) which I now hoped I should've gotten her name because she went out of her way to get us what we needed asap instead of calling room service. Also at last but not least we want to also let it be known that when we went to get breakfast, the lady(Sophie) handling the breakfast, was so nice and my wife and both daughters agreed that she in a way like my mother and grandmother not because of age but because she was, welcoming, attending, and loving. It was a very refreshing experience for a stay out of town. Also, awesome location if you bring your dawg and overall great location for all types of things to do to hang out, eat, outdoor exploration, try some nice local ciders, and or just relaxing and enjoying beautiful bend.

We are still here and I am so pleased with our experience so far I wanted to make sure to leave a review before we leave. We have had an incredible time at this gem of an Inn. We called on our way to confirm a late check in and were greeted with kindness and professionalism from Ginny, who has continued to provide exceptional hospitality. Cute hotel. This is my second time staying in Bend for a ski trip (the first time I stayed at the Oxford Hotel) and I think the value proposition of the Pine Ridge Inn is a lot better. It’s quaint, so more intimate of an experience than your average place. Free beer on check in and free breakfast really makes this place worth the stay. Also, super close to the Safeway (walking distance), the shopping outlets, and also super close to the Riverfront Park trail (beautiful 1.5~ mile round trip walk) If I had to be pedantic about something, I’d say the shower wasn’t the best. Water didn’t really want to warm up and the shower head had some bizarre non-adjustable high pressure wide spray nozzle that simply isn’t ideal for bathing Parking is super easy and the location is fantastic. Legitimately 0.25 miles and you’re on the main road to Mt Bachelor. I would gladly use this hotel again, although I do wish they would allow cats! It would make my life quite a bit easier.

The upstairs rooms are amazing with Jacuzzi tub and nice big shower. The staff are awesome, very sweet, and very helpful. Location was great, near anything you may need. Breakfast was delicious, mostly pastries but gourmet. And the critters in the courtyard, deer, rabbit, squirrels, birds. I highly recommend this place. We will be going back. My only complaint is the toilet was meant for tiny people.

Amazing view of the deschutes, rooms very clean, thoughtful extras in the room, quiet, location exceptional, wonderful place to stay! Front desk personnel impolite, unprofessional (every time we passed, was playing on phone, she ignores patrons)😂so avoid lobby area and you should be fine!

Inn is beginning to show its age. Nice continental brekkie is included in the room rate. Location is fair but usually requires a drive to get anywhere.

The experience at Pine Ridge Inn is unmatched. The view, the bed, the breakfast pastries from Sparrow bakery. 👀😍😎

I have to admit it was a really awesome hotel and I would go back but the only flaws I had at that hotel was the hot water heater went out for a few days but they brought that back on a day before the set date for it to be back in so grateful for that but I did have an issue when it came to keeping the toilet seat up because of the counter thing above the toilet which would probably make it more difficult for plumbers to fix it but anyway it would just keep falling down really loud other than that it was a really nice hotel

Beautiful hotel with balconies overlooking the river, a fireplace, super comfy beds, and close to towns shops and restaurants. Everything was super clean and everyone we met working there was so friendly. They have a few dog friendly rooms and when we arrived with our Chihuahua they gave us a bunch of dog welcome items to use. They even had multiple gluten free options for breakfast (and of course many regular items too), and great coffee including decaf and almond milk. I'll definitely be back. Thanks!

Pub
Deschutes Brewery Bend Public House is a popular offshoot brewpub of the renowned craft brewery, offering locally sourced lunch and dinner options. The late summer hop harvest is considered the best time for beer drinking, with Deschutes Experimental 1320 standing out for its fresh pineapple and POG flavors. Established in 1988, this brewery's downtown public house on Bond Street was the first of its kind in Bend, Oregon.
This brewery is a reliable spot to grab a good burger and brew. Their in-house beer selection is fantastic. The brioche buns with their burgers are light and add to the burger experience. I didn't care for the Mac and cheese, it was a bit bland but if you stick with a burger you can't really go wrong. The atmosphere is fine, it can get noisy depending on where you're seated but it's never been overly crowded when I have been there. They do not take same-day reservations. The service is friendly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loved our visit! The food and atmosphere were top-notch. We sat out on the dog-friendly patio and had a great time enjoying the summer vibe. Started with the hummus and pretzel appetizer—super tasty—and followed it up with a delicious pizza that hit the spot. I had a Cascade Kolsch Ale that was light and refreshing, perfect for a mid-summer day, and wrapped things up with their famous Fresh Squeezed IPA—definitely lives up to the hype. Our server was upbeat, friendly, and on top of everything. Great experience all around—we’ll definitely be back!

This is a must see attraction in Bend, Oregon. There is an extensive menu at this award winning brewery. Great merchandise. The food was amazing, including the elk burger, double smash burger, the brisket, the mac n cheese, the beet salad. Only tip would be to ask for extra beets. We did two beer flights, including all of the light beers, and also the standard recommended flight. Our waitress Reese was so friendly and gave great advice on other things to do in the area. Highly recommend!
Ap V — Google review
Stopped in for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The pretzel is a must-try—it came perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of salt and butter, and the warm cheese sauce was absolutely to die for. I also tried the fish and chips, which are prepared with breadcrumbs rather than a traditional batter. They’re on the drier side, so you have to be a fan of that style. I liked it, but next time I’ll probably try something else. Of course, the beer selection is fantastic—plenty of great options to pair with your meal. The restaurant itself is clean, well maintained, and has a ton of TVs, making it a great spot to catch NFL or college football games. Parking can be a little tricky since it’s mostly street parking, especially during busy hours, but we lucked out and got a spot right in front. Overall, a great visit and definitely worth coming back.

I needed a little snack to tie me over til dinner so we popped in here. We had the hummus platter and it was so good!! Loved all of it! Husband of course had to have one of their well-known beers and he quite enjoyed it. We sat outside under the sun cover and was refreshing.
Kim T — Google review
Probably not the typical experience, but we were seated outside on the end near the bank entrance. A server came out and took orders for a table that was seated after us. Never came by. The same server returned with drinks for that table and again didn't stop. Since this was about 20 minutes since being seated I picked up the menus and went inside. After being confronted the server said that the table wasn't in her section. We were seated in another section and did get service, but this place is a pass. The Morrocan steak fries were hit and miss. The meat was good and had abundant flavor. The fries were flavorless and not the hand cut mentioned in the menu. Would not go back.
Mark B — Google review
You’ll likely see this place on every list of best breweries in Bend, and for good reason! The place was popping! I’d recommend making a reservation as they’re busy! My spouse tried the sampler and really enjoyed all his bar. I stuck to a non alcoholic drink. Their food! OMG! I was really not expecting such good food! The pretzel and cheese dip with stone-ground mustard was heavenly! I even took a lactaid to enjoy the cheese and mustard! Their black bean burger was good too. I wish they’d serve fries instead of chips, but those were good too! My spouse tried their habanero wings and found it quite spicy! The wait staff were amazing too! This is do-not-miss place in Bend! 🙂

This was my first time at Dechutes Brewery. We stopped in for dinner. My boyfriend was wanting fish and chips. We were greeted upon entry and seated by the hostess promptly. Our server came over and asked us about drinks. While in a brewery I felt the need to try one of their offerings, though I do not like beer, I tried their cider. The cider is more of a dry and tart cider than others I've had before. I also tried their boneyard elixir which is a CBD drink thst is more like a bubbly water with CBD in it. We got appetizers and the Mirror Pond Artichoke Cheese Dip was incredible. 11/10 - one of the best artichoke dips i have ever had. The pretzel was cooked to perfection and the beer cheese was great. For our mains my boyfriend got the fish and chips - to die for, I wish I would have gotten that as well. I got the Black Butte Porter Sausage Sandwich - while the sausage and the bun where incredible I think I would have liked it better without the arugula and cheese sauce. The food was great, but we were stuffed and couldn't finish all of our dinner. The restaurant is large and had trivia going on upstairs while we were there, the dining room we were sat in was decorated as an indoor beer garden, lots of string lights and plants. Overall great experience and would dine here again.

Fine dining restaurant
Zydeco Kitchen & Cocktails is a vibrant downtown restaurant and bar that offers a casual dining experience with a touch of Cajun influence in its American cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on using the freshest organic ingredients to create an eclectic menu with Southern flair. Diners can enjoy dishes like filet au poivre, vegetable risotto, and shrimp etouffee in the chic interior or on the patio.
Zydeco is one of my favorite stops when I'm in Bend. The executive Chef Eric has an impressive resume working internationally on his culinary journey from the Savoy in London to the Bay area, Portland and finally in Bend. The mission is to bring Southern hospitality, service and culinary influence right to your table. Sitting at the bar, I witnessed him have an excited exchange with a local patron about ordering the first dish of a special entree he had devoted limitless time and effort preparing. The passion is evident in his food, presentation and customer engagement. The food and cocktails are delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant has a smaller footprint and is very popular so I would definitely suggest booking ahead. I like sitting at the bar which is first come first serve but I think it only seats about 10. There is also expanded seating that has been added outside to accommodate demand. Go early and bring your appetite.
James D — Google review
Most of the food was great. While our waiter was really attentive, he didn't bring one of our drinks (admittedly, we didn't notice). Also, the drink descriptions fail to say that a shrub has vinegar in it. My redfish was wonderful; so were my wife's ribs. The chocolate cake was pretty dry and boring.
Rod T — Google review
Our neighbors gave us a gift certificate to go have dinner. My wife and I were excited About going to dinner here again and it had been a while and it was a little noisy, but we expected that my wife had the grilled halibut and I had the shrimp jambalaya. Our appetizers were very good. Best margarita that I’ve tasted in a long time. Service was very, very good for dessert. We decided to get us a piece of carrot cake to go and split it when we got home. , we should’ve gotten two pieces of carrot cake the carrot cake for dessert. Highly recommended.

Loved our food and entire experience! Our servers (if memory serves, Jordan and Dustin) were both personable, attentive and gave great recommendations. Highly recommend the bbq shrimp appetizer, bread, pork chop and redfish.
Claire J — Google review
The pork chop here is easily the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and full of balanced flavor. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff works seamlessly as a team, and it makes the entire dining experience outstanding. You can tell they’re true professionals, and it shows in every detail. We stayed in Bend for four nights and tried several restaurants, and Zydeco was absolutely one of our favorites. Great cocktails too!

5.? Star food. The best Red fish and crab I've ever had. If you are in Bend Oregon, this is a must stop. Right downtown, great service and even better food. You'll never be disappointed with the menu options here. Enjoy a bottle of wine because 1 or 2 glasses will not satisfy.
Paul L — Google review
Everything was wonderful!! Service was amazing and everything we order was fantastic. As I am sure everyone else has said get the bbq shrimp app, it is delicious!
Amber W — Google review
We had a fantastic meal here. The restaurant definitely lives up to the good reviews. The cocktails, including the strawberry spritzer and some semi sweet bourbon Drink were excellent. We started with the shrimp and grits for an appetizer. We also ordered bread. For entrées, we did the fillet and the redfish. The fillet was excellent with a fantastic sauce. The potatoes were some of the best au gratin potatoes I’ve ever had. No matter what I would recommend getting those potatoes with your entrée. The green beans with fillet were a bit bland compared to everything else. The red fish was fantastic and well cooked. For dessert we had the Keylime pie, which was also very good. I would definitely get the shrimp and grits again as well as any entrée with the potatoes. Service was excellent. Parking is a challenge in downtown Bend, but there is a nearby parking garage. Reservations would be recommended for indoor seating.

Nestled within the vibrant city of Bend, Pilot Butte stands as a striking cinder cone volcano that beckons adventurers and families alike. This iconic landmark features a winding hiking trail that leads to stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding area, including the majestic Cascade Range and expansive high desert landscapes. While you could opt for a drive, nothing compares to the experience of hiking this prominent butte, which is visible from nearly every corner of Bend.
Looking for an outdoor activity for all with great views? Hike or drive to the top for incredible views of Bend & Beyond!

Very sad you guys don't have the funds to line the trails with other than with cut down trees that create a fire hazard. The stairs u put in even have rebar showing by the school. Trails are very narrow not a lot of room for passing. How far is it around the butt and only one bathroom unless you climb to the top.
Adam N — Google review
The butte itself was a cool experience to drive up since it was a constant curve that circles its way to the top of the hill. The lookout is cool from the top but there is nothing else there to see besides check out the view of bend and take a couple of pictures.
Joe D — Google review
Great view of the entire area, only downside I think is the hikers should have their own trail or a wider trail so it's safer for people/cars
Shane N — Google review
Took a drive up with the fam visiting Bend. Such a beautiful 360 overlook and a must for newcomers to the area. You can also go up as many of the locals do…walk!
Matthew P — Google review
Walking shoulder and driving lane to the top. Great views. Emergency restroom. Benches.
Clay M — Google review
A pretty nice lookout point at the top. A decently sized path up but I'm sure some would argue it is narrow. Parking is a hit or miss depending on the time as it gets busy later in the day when the sun is setting. The air quality being ok in Bend really kills the view since you can't see the mountains clearly and only make out the outlines.
William M — Google review
Pilot Butte is an absolute must-visit landmark in Bend, offering one of the best "big payoff for little effort" experiences in Central Oregon. This extinct cinder cone volcano, located right within the city limits, provides unparalleled 360-degree panoramic views of the region. The main draw is the breathtaking vista of the Cascade Mountain Range, including clear sightlines to the Three Sisters, Mount Bachelor, and Mount Hood on a clear day. Looking east, you see the vast high desert, and below, the entire city of Bend sprawls out. Getting to the top is flexible: you can drive the paved, seasonal road (closed in winter) or hike one of the trails. The hike is short—about a mile one-way—but quite steep, providing an excellent, quick workout. The summit features informative plaques to identify the surrounding peaks. The atmosphere at sunset is legendary, with the city lights twinkling below and the Cascade peaks glowing, though it can get very crowded. Whether you hike up to "earn your view" or drive for accessibility, Pilot Butte is a quintessential Bend experience and a perfect spot to appreciate the scale of Oregon's high desert landscape.

Eclectic restaurant
Spork is a lively restaurant that started as a mobile kitchen in 2009 and later expanded to a permanent location in 2013. This casual venue offers lunch and dinner daily, featuring a diverse menu influenced by global flavors from Latin America and Asia. The culinary team uses high-quality local ingredients to craft dishes such as pork carnitas tacos, fried catfish, spicy fried chicken with sambal chili sauce, and more.
Love this place!! Spicy fried chicken has always been my favorite! This place sure has grown in past 15 years! Great establishment and contribution to the Central Oregon food scene. Some of the best Asian Fusion food I've had at a restuarant. This is a popular local spot, but the food doesn't disappoint, there's a reason for it. I love the outdoor, dog friendly seating available.
Lora L — Google review
Spork is what happens when a Bend hiker, a Seattle garden gnome, and a zen master open a restaurant together—and somehow it works. The vibe is part eco-conscious self-serve (hydrate yourself, people, the water station awaits) and part culinary choose-your-own-adventure. It feels hands-on without feeling abandoned—like your cool friend who lets you borrow their kayak but still reminds you to wear sunscreen. Ordering could have been a nightmare given the menu reads like a love letter to every corner of Asia plus a few detours, but the gentleman at the counter deserves a Nobel Prize in Menu Explanation. He not only decoded the dishes for us, but sold us on why people rave about them—like a hype man for noodles. Ten out of ten, would let him guide my life choices. Food-wise: my husband ordered the happy hour chicken sandwich and is now in a committed relationship with it. He still brings it up in conversation as if it’s a long-lost flame. We got the fried cheese, because let’s be real—fried cheese is never a mistake, it’s a life philosophy. I had a noodle bowl that was absolutely incredible. Drinks? Let’s just say we “accidentally” upgraded happy hour to full-on cocktail hour. Zero regrets. In conclusion: Spork Bend is quirky, delicious, and unforgettable. We came for happy hour, we stayed for the food (and drinks). We’ll be back faster than you can say fried cheese forever.
Lou L — Google review
Great food and cozy vibe! We got carnitas and chicken tinga in tacos. Both the tacos were amazing. Dan Dan noodles were delicious too. The Szechuan pepper kick flavour kicks in with first bite! Spicy fried chicken is a must try. The chicken was crispy and the sauce was tasty. The Tampico sunrise drink was great.(not in pictures ). Overall a very good spot for fusion food in bend 😍 there was a long line when we went in at 8 pm but it’s worth the wait 😅
Sushmita K — Google review
This spot is eclectic, savory, and delicious. The menu is primarily Asian influenced, but they also have tacos and other specials. My companion had the beef and broccoli, which he thoroughly enjoyed (though it had a surprising amount of lemongrass). I had the shrimp and pork belly curry, which was bursting with flavor and a good variety of ingredients. The consistency was very liquidity which is not my preference, but it was so rich in flavor that I still give it a strong five stars. I also really enjoyed the punch cocktail with a rum of blends, tea, and apricot liqueur. The service was order at the counter and partial self-service, but it was friendly. The ambience is casual zen with plants and a slight bohemian feel. Great place to stop on your next trip to Bend!
M B — Google review
The best place we ate in Bend! While having a more casual feel the food was anything but. Despite a busy evening and a long line, the staff take tote drink orders and deliver them to you while waiting for counter service! A lovely touch. The food itself was delicious, nom ish, and full of flavor. From the crispy cheese bites, seasonal melon salad, and incredible Szechuan Dan Dan noodles, every bite was wonderful and we simply couldn’t stop ourselves.
Alex B — Google review
We celebrated our anniversary here. Very busy, lively atmosphere. Staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Loved how they asked about any allergies. The food was tasty and perfect portions. Highly recommend the crispy Brussel sprouts and crispy chicken. Can’t wait til we can return to Bend and try other menu items.
Suzi B — Google review
Tasty and interesting dishes, but it's a bit loud and there's often a long line to order (you can't sit until you've ordered). The pork taco was the best, as the chicken taco was a bit bland and the shrimp taco had too much going on with it). The dandan noodles were somewhat like what I've had in China. The member of our party who ordered the banh mi asked for the spicy parts on the side, and they were able to do that. The kids liked the kids versions of the chicken rice bowl and chicken and pork. Most of the dishes are a bit small, so most adults need to get more than one thing. The pandan flan was excellent, and the coconut tres leches cake good too. We had to stand a while before ordering then being seated, but we were there early enough that the wait wasn't inordinate. The restaurant is rather noisy inside. Some people like that atmosphere, but I think it was too much.
M P — Google review
Amazing food, atmosphere and fun experience. Food is spicy, so beware. Teenagers and I loved it. We waited in line to order and pay about 45 minutes during dinner rush, but food comes out super fast. Totally worth the wait. Music and atmosphere are fun.

Birthday brunch. We had a bit of a wait, but the owner came out & sat down & chatted with us. We loved the warmness of the staff. The food was delicious & our server posted the photo she took of us on their social media site! They had a cute intimate bar & outside seating with a fire pit. Definitely a “go to” while visiting like we were.

Food was really greasy and tasted unsafe. We could not finish the food brought to us. The atmosphere was dirty and smelled bad. Service was fine, wait on food was very long.

The veggie hash was not good, they took bunch of veggie that were boiled before and just threw on plate, plus added some potatoes and poached eggs. I did like crab cake. After spending $24, I was hungry 2 hours later. They were severely understaffed. But food is the main factor, why I’d not come back or recommend this place.
Roksolana S — Google review
We've been here a couple of times for breakfast. Mostly because I like to give every restaurant a second chance. The food really isn't that great for the price. Like a lot of places in town, they try to fancy the food up too much. I believe most people are like me and a good, consistent, simple meal. I can appreciate the fact that they make a lot of their meals and bloody marys from scratch, but for me, there are plenty of breakfast breakfast joints in town way better and cheaper. Service is great here. For me, the food isn't.
Jason K — Google review
Come here annually when my parents visit from the east coast but this time was particularly disappointing (I wish I had read more recent reviews on the changes from other patrons). Our waiter seemed less than enthusiastic to be working and admitted to forgetting to put in our order despite only being the third table in the restaurant. 40 minutes later our food arrived but despite indicating from the start we were splitting food burrito came unsliced. While the food was good for the price the service and wait time were worth it at all. Lastly, ordered a London fog which was served “deconstructed” providing me a tea bag, cream, and syrup had I know that’s how it would have been served I would have ordered something different.
Amanda F — Google review
Food was excellent. That said, you could tell they were having a rough day. Told us 30 minutes wait, then took 1.25 hours. Then another hour for our food. We saw several people sat after and get their food before us. Once we got everything it was delicious, server was doing her best. Just don't be in a rush or have a party over 4. We were a party of 6 and it was probably our undoing.
Jennifer M — Google review
Very disappointed by Chow. We waited an hour to be seated, then another 15 minutes to order drinks (even though there were plenty of empty tables around us). Bees everywhere. We had to remind our server to bring us our drinks, and he admitted to us after waiting another 20 minutes that he didn’t put our food order in, and asked us to tell it to him again- so unprofessional and disorganized. When we got our food (30 minutes later) it was cold. We boxed it up to take it to go and reheat it at home. Had to wait 15 minutes for him to cash us out and box up our jam. Never got the jam after asking three times. A waste of money and more than 2 hours of our time. The only consolation is that he comped one drink and the food was decent once we heated it up at home. Seems like this place used to be good then went downhill recently. Do not recommend!!

We had a great stay here for 3 nights. I had a conference for work at the hotel, which was great. The staff was very kind and always helpful! The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and the restaurant on property was incredible. My favorite part of the stay was all of the sweet little amenities in the room! You have your own French press coffee maker with various coffees to choose from (so fun) and you can even request soaps with different scents. I’m allergic to topical fragrance, so I loved that the default soap was just a no-fragrance sensitive skin soap, but always great to have options for others! Can’t wait to come back for another stay

My boyfriend and I come here at least three times a year and for the past year when we come there is a maintenance person named Dyane who has been a god send. When we come I always see her going in and out of rooms taking care of people. We needed help casting to the TV and I call to the front desk thinking they would be awhile like it has in the past so I started to read a book. No more than a min later there is a knock and I open it and there she is with a huge smile "Hi im Dyane I was told you needed some help casting, she came in and was done in five min then she asked if we needed anything else, she was such a pleasure that I was trying to think of stuff that we might need. She is was so nice everytime we have come she has been there eager to help. Well we came last week and to my sadness found out she no longer works for the oxford, I don't know what happened but big mistake letting her go surely something could have been worked out. I have been in customer service most of my life and am a manager of a local store and I find that you can hire anyone to fill a position and that usually is what you get someone a body to fill the slot, but you find someone who actually likes there job tells the people just how wonderful the hotel is shows all the special perks and helps when needed and with a smile that is rare and you do what is needed to fix any problem with that employee because good employees loyal employees and friendly employees are hard to come by. I can see that the people you have hired are not fast, efficient, . That said I needed some extra towels I saw a maintenance man in the hallway I asked for some extra towels and barely stopped to talk to me said call the front desk I was shocked because Dyane would have gone and got them, and has in the past. So needless to say, I was quite sad this last trip because she wasn't there, this is going to effect our future trips to bend. What a huge loss for your hotel, she was the best and just got a small taste in the hallway when I asked for towels. If she was my employee I would do what I could to get her back, she is such an asset to your hotel and this just saddens me. Thank you Kim

During a recent stay, I had unexpected car trouble right before an important meeting. Without me even asking, the Assistant General Manager, Cody Turner, immediately stepped in and coordinated local help so I wouldn’t miss a moment. His initiative and kindness turned what could’ve been a stressful situation into a seamless one. The level of care, professionalism, and genuine hospitality at The Oxford Hotel is unmatched. My wife and I had our anniversary trip all planned out-flights got canceled. Seriously! So we decided to do a quick Bend trip instead and The Oxford absolutely stepped up as a great choice we made. So glad we booked with them. The staff (Stacy, Sierra and Emily) were phenomenal and I’d recommend staying here to anyone traveling through. It was such a good choice after an unfortunate flight cancellation. Thank you to everyone at The Oxford. We’ll be back!

One of those special spots where you can tell everyone from the top down puts in the effort to make this place great. The rooms are super clean. They offer locally roasted coffee, water kettles, in room French press. Valet parking is a breeze. If not, the city garage is connected to the building and only $10. Even the elevators at this place are timed to make your stay great! Walking distance to beautiful river spots, great coffee and food.

Beautiful ambiance. Incredible amenities like ground coffee and a French press in room. We brought out Great Dane and they had dog treats and a collapsible dog bowl as a gift for us! Soft towels. Close to all the downtown things. 5/5 stars! Thank you for treating us so well!

The inn stands where the river of the town whispers its secrets. Its door opens to the very heart of the bazaar, a fine place for the traveler to begin the day's journey. Its walls have seen many seasons pass. Do not seek the shine of the newly-minted coin here, but the soft glow of a well-worn one, for its beauty is in the stories it holds, not in the freshness of its paint. It is not a palace of earthly kings, designed to dazzle the eye and distract the soul. It is a quiet cup of water, clean and offered freely. But the true wine is the welcome. The faces that greet you are open windows, and in their smiles the Friend says, "Rest here. You are home for a time." This kindness is the only luxury the spirit truly seeks.

Lovely hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary washer/dryer was a huge plus for us.
