French restaurant
Restaurant
Marché is a charming bistro located in the lively 5th Street Public Market. The restaurant offers a casual and market-driven dining experience, featuring a large exhibition kitchen with a wood-fired oven and an elegant bar. Guests can also enjoy outdoor dining surrounded by fragrant herbs and edible flowers. The seasonal menu showcases French-inspired and Northwest farm-to-table dishes, including charcuterie, fresh salads, vegetarian options, homemade soup, and naturally-raised meats.
The food was phenomenal 👌 fish was so delicious. Wine was excellent. Service was the best. Loved everything. 👌👌👌will be back 👌I did go back, and this time smaller bites but excellent.

The food is phenomenal. Le Bar portion of Marche is open late with a limited menu but easy to find a reasonably priced option to pair with late night drinks. Haven't gotten to try their daytime menus yet but if the late night menu is any preview then I could only expect brunch and dinner are also worth it. Portebella sandwich with fries and garlic aoli was one of the better sandwiches I've had in a long time. Will absolutely go back to try other dishes.
Jessa G — Google review
The food was very middle of the road and not worth the price. Steak and Salmon during our visit. The protein was fine and very very basic. Its a bummer to go out to eat and have something I can simple have at home. We found the rest to be again almost Boring. Very loud atmosphere to add to it. Nice server, couldn't hear much of what she said but that was the only redeeming quality. Host gave us attitude for arriving 10 minutes before our reservation. Seemed odd she expected us to arrive exactly on time. Was raised to show up 10-15 min before any appt. Nothing here would want us to return or come back.
Nathan M — Google review
The food is phenomenal. The chefs here are fantastic. The woman who made our scrumptious steak and eggs and gorgeous toffee pain du also had the Best eye make up that looked like puzzle pieces that matched her earrings. She was a boss. Watching them work from the bar while I was eating was so fun and I was so intent, I probably stressed them out. The beignets were nom, they make their own apple butter and cream, my mouth still misses it. It's cozy and cute and tasty. $75 for brunch, make a reservation to secure a spot. It pops on Sunday afternoon.
Della D — Google review
Made reservations and was turned away for being 10 minutes early, which would’ve been easier to understand had there not been open tables. After waiting 10 minutes to be allowed to sit in one of the empty tables, we were placed on a side table next to the busy traffic of the kitchen. We ordered an appetizer, drinks and two entrees. I ordered trout, my wife ordered chicken. Living next to farmland and rivers abundant I thought they would be safe choices. The chicken was no better then Costco. The trout was dry and tasteless. It seemed as if they reheated a flash frozen fillet and placed it on top of microwaved frozen spinach and lentils. I don’t normally leave food reviews, but this place was a combination of such horrible service, food, ambiance and yet it is also tied to a higher price tag. It needs a reality check. I genuinely would have gotten better food and service from Chilis for half the price if not less. We went here hoping to have a romantic night and ended up having a comedy instead. I don’t know why people willingly overpay so much for essentially reheated frozen food but if you have sense I would recommend going somewhere else.
Shawn B — Google review
Celebrated my partner’s 31st birthday. Amazing service and great menu. I was torn between a few options but I got the mussels and he got the tarte flambee. I felt bad for knocking a star off for atmosphere but it was a busy day with big loud groups; I’m glad for the business though that it was going so well on a Tuesday evening! I had a honey lavender soda that was a bit too medicinal for my taste but it’s literally what honey lavender soda is supposed to taste like so excellent. My partner had a Moscow mule and love the ice consistency for that drink, it was also delicious.
Luisa M — Google review
The servers were exceptionally good. Attentive and quick. The heirloom tomato salad was delicious. My salmon was a little under in the middle and they left a very fatty bone on the pork chop. I’d go again and try something different because overall we enjoyed it.
Sandra T — Google review
Had a lovely anniversary dinner here and the entire experience was fantastic. Our server David was 5 stars all on his own, equal parts, funny, proficient, and friendly; the food was also amazing and I highly recommend for a night out or a truly special occasion! Thanks for dinner!

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Beppe & Gianni's Trattoria is a renowned Italian restaurant and bar located in Eugene, Oregon. Established in 1998, this award-winning eatery is housed in a charming converted house and offers a family-friendly dining experience. The menu features ample plates of fresh homemade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, fresh salads, vegetarian dishes, and ocean-fresh seafood.
Super food and service! We arrived at 7:30 on a Monday night, a night when many restaurants in Eugene are closed. We waited about 20-minutes in the foyer, after which a bunch of people left. The seating was then immediate and the service was lightning-fast. Besides for the food being fantastic, the staff is so nice and friendly. The host was super nice and the waitress was so delightful. When I left we were satiated, happy, and uplifted. Also appreciate that fresh fish is on the menu.
Sara G — Google review
I think the food is hit or miss here. My dish was good, but I think the homemade pasta or hand made pasta is way overrated. One dish was dry and chewy. Maybe they’re having off day? Would I go back probably not
Kris K — Google review
Looking for tasty Italian in Eugene, OR? Definitely make a stop at Beppe & Gianni’s Trattoria. This cozy, charming spot offers a straightforward yet flavorful menu that gives you a real glimpse of Italy—fresh pastas, rich sauces, and classic Italian favorites done right. Insider tip: Go early! They don’t take reservations, and seating is limited. It fills up fast, and for good reason. There’s street parking nearby, and the staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive. Come. Eat. Enjoy.
Steve A — Google review
The restaurant is housed in a converted home, giving it a cozy and inviting atmosphere. A large number of outdoor tables are arranged, adding to its charm. While butter-and-wine-based clam dishes are quite common, this Italian spot offers a delightful twist with clams in tomato sauce as a starter—an excellent choice. The ravioli had an exceptionally fresh taste and rich flavor, and though the aglio e olio spaghetti would’ve benefitted from a slightly firmer al dente texture, the bigger issue was the lack of emulsified sauce from the pasta water and oil, which made the dish feel a bit dry. Still, the overall flavor balance was commendable. For dessert, the ricotta cheesecake struck a lovely balance in both texture and taste. I finished with an espresso, which wrapped up a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The staff provided outstanding service, making the visit even more memorable. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend. diners take time either before or after the meal to enjoy a stroll in Washburne Park, located right next to the restaurant.
Kai D — Google review
We stumbled on this place while wandering Eugene one Thursday night. The place itself is super cool and looks to have been an old converted house. The staff were very nice and we were greeted and taken to a table right away. The food was so so so good and tasty. We will definitely return when we are back down to Visit.
Kacey F — Google review
Firstly it's important to note that I am generally dissatisfied with restaurants in Eugene. I went into this with low-ish expectations because of the mixed reviews on here. But wow, we had a great time! I especially loved the vibe: charming, warm, and lively. Our server was just excellent from start to finish. My partner's dish was under salted and mine was a hair overly salted, but the flavors were excellent. The experience is pricey but well worth it in my opinion. We will return!
Cassandra B — Google review
This was a truly wonderful dining experience; I came with my husband on our tenth anniversary. I really only have one word to describe the food; incredible! the food was flavorful, ambiance was wonderful, and the staff were incredibly helpful. I’d recommend the seafood pasta (totally worth the price) and the risotto (totally to die for!) We also ordered antipasti misti and a large ceaser, both were delicious as well!
Trendy S — Google review
We wouldn't come back. My friend ordered the Pomodoro Linguine. The linguine noodles were flat over cooked and tasted like it had been left in the strainer too long. The tomato sauce covering the pasta did not seem to have any spices other than some random basil pieces. I ordered the aglio e olio the past was cooked the way I like it.the sauce is intended to be light but all tasted was garlic. We were not impressed with the food and definitely not for the price listed. The atmosphere is welcoming and it was busy. There is a full bar and decent wine menu. Our server was welcoming amd was able to answer questions regarding the menu

Restaurant
Lion and Owl is a trendy brunch spot in downtown Eugene, co-owned by chef Crystal Platt and Kirsten Hansen. The restaurant features an Airstream trailer converted into a bar cart, adding to its unique Great Gatsby vibe. The menu offers upscale brunch options such as steak and eggs, herb-smothered salmon, breakfast sandwiches with house sausage, and elegant egg dishes paired with seasonal delights.
Very cool, unique spot with a welcoming vibe. The food was excellent—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and the menu had tons of great options, including choices for people with dietary restrictions. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into everything, from the dishes to the decor. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. I appreciated the balance of a laid-back atmosphere with high-quality food and presentation. I had the fried trout sandwich and my wife had the avocado toast. Highly recommend if you’re in Eugene looking for a memorable brunch or lunch spot. Will absolutely be back.

This is one of those rare places where everything you get is incredibly flavorful. The salmon I had here is the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. Also, the service was fantastic too. The hostess was very kind and our server was charismatic, accommodating, and nice. I highly recommend this place it was delicious and beautiful. If I am ever back in down, I’ll certainly return here.

Had been dying to try this place for quite some time...so glad we finally came! We got seated inside of the airstream trailer, it was so cute inside. Food was amazing...best bacon I've ever had. Definitely will be back. Only recommendation I would make is...when people are visiting for the first time - share the history of this place. Very cool story and it would be fun to hear upon being seated. Didnt detour our experience by any means, just a suggestion 😀

Amazing food with multiple gluten free options. Fall menu was beautiful. The atmosphere is modern, clean, upscale-ish (I didn’t drink but they had a big selection of wines) but still has a friendly vibe to it. The service was attentive, kind, and very helpful with the menu.
Alisa H — Google review
This is that bougie brunch place that everyone tells you to go to. Turns out it's with good reason. Went on Father's Day, because I woke up missing my dad on the other side of the country...and really good eggs. Made my reservation on Resy and decided to ask to be waitlisted because I realized I could arrive a little early. A table was cleared for me but then reset for another party that might have more in it. I was given the option to be rerouted to the back room bar. Curious more than anything else, I decided to follow because I had my book with me and was planning to politely ignore everyone anyway. If it's impossible to ignore the life-size Airstream that take center stage in the main dining area…it's even more impossible to ignore the life-size taxidermy giraffe head/neck hanging on the back wall of the bar area. The bar area is undeniably elegant. It was populated with a large graduation party celebrating happily. A nice vibe. I started with a strawberry mimosa ($9) and appreciated that it came in an elegant Reidel-like glass and had the usual bright, fragrant cava welcome. Eddie the barkeep was serving me. I had seen caviar walking by so ordered a half ounce of the Osetra ($40). It came out fairly quickly with a side of crème fraîche and freshly chopped chives, and house made waffle chips. The combination created one of the most delightful mouthfuls I've had in a long time. If I'm honest it reminded me of my favorite Canadian sour cream and onion chips from childhood. The buckwheat rhubarb pancakes that I ordered with the side of soft scrambled eggs took a bit, which gave me time to look around when I noticed not one but two bottles of L'Hermitage in the wine cellar above the bar. Having had the privilege of enjoying a bottle of 2017 a few years ago with a friend, I was curious about the vintage of the bottles, and asked Eddie for the wine list. They were missing from it. On purpose. (Later learned from the owner who came by solicitously to ask how the meal was going that they were reserved for her personal collection. So wise.) The rhubarb buckwheat pancakes were fluffy and the stacked with the help of a little fruit jam. The rhubarb is prepared in three different ways and the compote version is lovely. The dollops of goat cheese whipped are richly satisfying and sprinkled with crunchy, roasted buckwheat before being generously serenaded by fenugreek syrup. The soft scrambled eggs which arrived still-warm and sprinkled with sea salt and paprika. I inhaled them. Perhaps what I enjoyed the most, if I'm honest, were the tasting notes that I had time to read on the different champagnes and wines. In particular the champagnes. I first noticed the "no words needed," ascribed to the 2015 Louis Roderer Cristal. Having picked up a gorgeous Roderer 2015 Rosé at The Davis last month, I knew this reviewer understood. As I continue to read the notes there was humor, and sass, and deeply personal revelations in comments like, "100% meunier is my love language." Tasting notes after my own heart. I'm looking forward to returning when it's dinner time or perhaps for an after dinner glass of something, something. Turns out the bar has all the verve, nerve, and elegance of a lounge that is wise enough to know what it offers and fierce enough to show a little leg, and the service to back it up. Bravo.
Mari K — Google review
Had a wonderful meal for what started out as 11 people and grew to 15. The waitstaff easily accommodated the increase in our party with ease. Had the chips and dip, zucchini bread and foie toast to start with. We also had the Cesar salad which was very tasty and breakfast sando. The eggs were very fluffy. Also had a bite of the Porto with bacon which I would get next time, the bacon was amazing. Some had coffee which was a pour over, a style that I do at home. Everyone in our party enjoyed the meal.
Bill W — Google review
Wow, good food and delicious that me and my family had ever tasted. The chips and dip was so creamy and good, the fish eggs were good popping in my mouth too. The zucchini bread was so good. Good service, way to go guys.

Sabai Cafe & Bar, located in the Oakway Center, offers a modern and sophisticated dining experience with a focus on Thai and Pacific Rim cuisine. The restaurant features a stylish indoor dining room as well as a spacious outdoor patio for alfresco dining. The menu includes traditional Asian dishes like chicken satay, calamari, Vietnamese wings, green papaya salad, tom yum soup, and larb.
Wow! We had such a great experience. The food was awesome and the service was excellent. We had a sampling of dishes, including the pockets of love, scallops carpaccio, tempura green beans, white angel on fire and the fancy Thai eggplant. Everything was great, I do wish our dishes were spicier but that is a personal preference. Looking forward to eating here again. I recommend reservations even for lunch because it was packed!
Savannah H — Google review
Had lunch at Sabai Cafe and Bar and loved it! The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was beautifully presented. We tried a couple of their Thai dishes, and both were full of amazing flavors and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and efficient, making for a great lunch experience. Highly recommend Sabai for anyone looking for a tasty meal in Eugene!
Michael D — Google review
Excellent Thai spot in the outdoor shopping center, we were able to walk in without a reservation at lunch time. Interior of the restaurant is very well appointed, feels very hip. Staff were very friendly and responsive, excellent customer service. We tried the Yellow Curry and the Sabai Noodles, both dishes were large enough to split between two people and quite delicious. When ordering a dish you can specify your desired level of spice. If you enjoy Thai food I can confidentiality recommend Sabai.
R&C — Google review
For our two nights stay in Eugene, we enjoyed dinner at Sabai at both nights. Their authentic Thai food was so good that after the first night, we decided to eat there two nights in a roll. First thing first the drink. Love their signature cocktail which infused traditional Thai herbs but not overpowering. Very refreshing meanwhile have decent amount alcohol. Food is delicious with authentic Thai flavor. Strong, spicy but also subtle and complicated. We tried several dishes with chicken wings, steak, fish, eggplant and seafood. All have their own unique sauce and flavor. You just can not go wrong with the selection. Do keep in mind that Thai food can be quite spicy so choose your spicy level wisely. It can be a little off sometimes. The mild chicken wing we ordered is very tender juicy but its spicy level is stronger than the medium fish dish we ordered. Yoo spicy? Try their Thai tea, who is creamy and sweet to balance the flavor. Service is great. A waitress recognized us at the 2nd night and had a little chat with us. Friendly and attentive. The place is very busy during dinner time. So reservation is highly recommended otherwise you will probably have to wait a while before a table is available.
Stanley Y — Google review
Sabai is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Eugene! The atmosphere is always warm, inviting, and full of great energy — perfect for both a casual night out or a special occasion. Their drinks are fantastic, and I especially love the gimlet — it’s one of the best in town. The food is consistently amazing, but my all-time favorite is the Spicy Cashew Noodles. I’ve tried a lot of dishes here, and I keep coming back to that one every time. Highly recommend Sabai for anyone looking for delicious food, great drinks, and an overall wonderful dining experience!
Dorsa R — Google review
Have a reservation and still have to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We get to our table and wait some more for menus, then wait for the waiter to return. So we've been on hold for at least 20-25 minutes and I'm beginning to wonder if that counts against the ridiculous 90 minutes to order, eat and get out. Had the absolute WORST sidecar cocktail in my life. Tasted like lemonade without and alcohol whatsoever. Told the waiter it wasn't good and he acted shocked I didn't like it and took away. Did I get credited for that drink? Nope, charged for a drink that was returned for not being made with any of the right ingredients (cognac, cointreau, fresh lemon juice). That imo is wrong. Granted it's a turn of the century drink but if you don't know how to make it use GOOGLE for goodness sake. Food was just average and for the price paid should have been better. Hectic atmosphere and noisy. Won't return.

Alright, here with the boys. On a road trip, you know it’s gonna be a smash. Shoutout the dad. Paid for. The food was great. Great flavors. I don’t know a lot about Thai food but it was salty, sweet, and different flavors all around. Service was great. There wasn’t really any spice. The rice was good. The curry seemed to lack uniqueness, but it was classic. Don’t know what the other dishes were called but they were all good. Overall, 7.6 which equals 3.8. Close enough to 4. Till next time.

With an extensive selection of over 1,000 beers from around the world, including 30 taps and 18 refrigerated doors of bottles and cans, it's a haven for beer enthusiasts. The restaurant also hosts fun events and daily specials to keep things exciting.
Absolutely fantastic, and I can't recommend them enough! We stopped by for for beer and a bite… and they exceeded our expectations. First off, the portions are incredibly generous, and the food is tasty. We ordered a few dishes, including the nachos. I think that one dish alone could have been enough for us – they were absolutely delicious. Impressed by the vegetarian options available, which is always a huge plus for our kiddo. Beyond that, their drink selection is stellar, boasting an impressive variety of beers to suit every palate, alongside a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks/beers. But the absolute highlight of our experience was the incredibly friendly service. In a world where it's sometimes hard to feel completely comfortable, Bier Stein seems like a Latino and queer-friendly establishment. It was refreshing to feel so welcomed and at ease!!! If you're in Eugene and looking for a place with great food, an amazing drink selection, and a truly inclusive and friendly atmosphere, Bier Stein is the place to go! We'll definitely be returning!

Friend: you should try The Bier Stein Me: ok, what do they have Friend: just about every beer you can imagine and coolers of many options Me: ok, I’ll give it a try (thinking it’s probably like most places) Me upon arrival: Pleasantly surprised by everything told about this place and they have good food options too. Sat at the bar to watch a game and enjoyed the delicious Stein Burger and seasoned fries. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and overall vibe. Good food and good drinks along with great service. Worth checking out without a friend telling you about it.

Good food, although the price point is higher than most beer pubs, the plates are HUGE. I always order one plate for 2 adults. There is one pool table and TONS of beer to choose from. They have coloring for kids as well. Staff is always very friendly, they do have a small free parking lot.

Beer (of way to many kinds) Looked as it would if it was old Germany. Music and other entertainment, top notch. It was wonderful!! The Roseburg German Band, provided the music, we had Alphorns, one from the German Band the other two from Mt Angel, dancers practiced from a local dance group, dancers just dancing. We had a few konga lines. And the chicken dance. And the children just dance for joy In a moment you could get lost in the food, the music and the beer. Can't wait until next year.

Loved all the choices of beer! Bavarian Pretzel was soft and warm. The cheese sauce is delicious!
Jackie S — Google review
The selection of beer and cider was great. We ordered sandwiches which were absolutely delicious. Big place, lots of seating in different variations. The only reason I have to give 4 stars is because we both sat with empty glasses for an extended amount of time while the staff was socializing with their backs turned, we were at the bar and it wasn't busy so that was off putting.
Sarah W — Google review
I spent a total of $34.25 for what is in the pictured. No gravy, overcooked dry schnitzel, and the FOUR slices of potato were not edible as they are still crunchy/undercooked. What the hell is going on there? I have left multiple reviews on Grubhub with suggestions on how to improve as they get the order incorrect often all have gone unanswered. They do not care about their customer experience at all. When they say they’ll refund, it has not occurred. Do NOT give these people your business, they do t deserve it.
Jen J — Google review
I really like the atmosphere and food/drink offerings but they are stingy with their happy hour, which is from 2-4, Mon-Thurs. They should extend the happy hour to M-F and 2-5, like most places! Also, their fries are very good but at some point they changed the recipe to include a batter that has gluten, which is ridiculous. Please go back to the former GF approach so my wife and many others can enjoy some fries! More vegan options would be appreciated as well so I don't always have to order a salad with added tempeh for my dinner. It's just not very filling.

I have been here several times & thought I did a review, but I guess I didn't. Anyhow, I got the Coconut Creme Tart, my gal pal Emily got the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Emily had a house coffee made into a mocha & I had a decaf Americano. I seriously wanted to order 15 different items & take them all home! I always order something different when I go, because the flavors are all so creative & exclusive. I will be back! ♡

This is by far the best palmier I have ever had. and their hot apple cider was pretty delicious. I was unfortunately really disappointed with the macaroons, not sure if they were just overcooked today, but they were really crunchy, very different from what you would expect. Staff was very kind and the atmosphere is so welcoming, seems like a great place to relax and enjoy a coffee

While beautiful from the outside and enticing to the palate, I was underwhelmed. The virtue signaling is pretty typical to the area? I guess I believe in living it (love), so it's off putting to see so much signage. The service did not match in kindness. I found myself wondering who they reserve the right not to serve? Isn't that curious? The veggie pie was fine as was the herbal iced tea. Not too polite. I cheated with gluten and took a digestive enzyme. Probably not worth it. 🫤

Great local spot, cozy seating area, vast selection, amazing price point. Stopped in on our way back to Portland. I am a die hard carrot cake fan and I would have loved to give these cake cookies 5 stars, but honestly, I was overwhelmed by the dry, overcooked cookies so much so that I couldn’t even tell you what the middle frosting tasted like. The custard tart, however, was where it’s at. Rich inside, creamy, and flaky crust. The whipped cream frosting on top was a bit dry too, however, so I’m wondering if our late, last minute stop, end of day visit was a contributing factor. I would like to think that the pastries cakes and tarts can last an entire day. But I’m mostly a consumer, not a baker anymore. I would definitely recommend this spot based on your taste preference and sweet tooth.

Delicious pastries, cookies, bread, sandwiches, and so much more! I’ve heard about Noisette for a while but hadn’t been to eat. Then I went two days in a row. 😋 I went too late to get bread though so I recommend going early in the day if you want their breads to take home.

Noisette sits with poise at the corner of Charnelton and West Broadway in downtown Eugene. Though given the French name for the humble hazelnut, this place may be the empress of bakeries in Eugene. The pastries they had on a random Thursday afternoon when I walked in: the blackberry nectarine pistachio frangipane. The strawberry lavender Tres Leche cake. The mixed berry tart with fresh cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and two kinds of stone fruit. The coconut custard passionfruit curd which is gluten-free presented so elegantly. The yummy carrot cake sandwich. The coconut cream tart. Then you wander over and you see the olive oil white wine cake. For just $4.95. The lavender lemon tea cake. A cherry custard tart, the palmier. The hazelnut cloud cookies the pecan cloud cookie. The chocolate chunk shortbread cookie. The flourless chocolate cake. And then you see the savory options. The ham Greer on brioche buns with sweet pickles, lettuce, sweet mustard. The caramelized onion sweet red pepper leeks and mozzarella focaccia. The vegetarian savory tart which is leek, kale, artichoke heart, sweet peppers, goat cheese. But my favorite and the one I chose roasted lamb sandwich on sourdough with cucumbers, roasted tomatoes, grilled onions, and harissa aïoli. Next time it will be the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on baguettes with pesto. I'm not even gonna talk about the Hand pies. All this coming out of one bakery. The presentation is so beautiful. You almost don't want to eat it. And somebody here really loves their plants. They open from 8 to 6 Wednesday to Sunday. All bakers have to rise before the crack of dawn so deserve a break and they take their weekends on Monday and Tuesday. If you're not sure what to get talk to Emily she was super helpful.

Went here twice in the past 24 hours, savory the first time, for lunch, and then sweets for breakfast the second visit. Everything was outstanding! We also got a baguette to go. Also excellent. The service was very friendly. I would be a regular if I lived in Eugene.

Excellent pastries, atmosphere and service. The chocolate croissant and sausage hand pie I had were excellent - flaky and moist. My drip coffee was average. A little flat with bitter and sour notes (not much complexity of aroma/flavor). Perhaps sitting a while since initial brewing? (I wish I could find a place that did single pour-overs somewhere in Eugene.) I’d return for the pastries for sure! (And I actually did 2 days later, to get some for the flight before we flew out.)

Japanese restaurant
Akira is a low-key Japanese eatery known for its seasonal, homemade sushi, sake, and cocktails. The restaurant offers a tasting menu and is the latest venture of Taro Kobayashi, formerly chef at Mame. Akira has gained attention from notable figures like Michelle Zauner, author of Crying in H Mart. The restaurant's omakase dinners downstairs are popular and reservations often sell out quickly.
Fantastic night out for my wife's birthday, and discovered my new favorite sushi place, to boot! Cocktails were awesome, especially the Ra-Ra-Rasputin! Pickled veggies for an appetizer, and 3 awesome rolls including the Me. V (pro tip: add mango!!) The owner was hilarious and friendly, and when they heard it was my wife's birthday, they brought her a free dessert that ROCKED!! As we were getting ready to leave, we were treated to some of the chef's personal closing snack: some beef sashimi that blew my mind! Definitely coming back! Thank you guys for an awesome night!
Joseph T — Google review
I came across this restaurant while searching for reviews and recommendations from a friend. The name had a slightly more casual feel, which drew me in. I sat at the bar table, watching the chef prepare sushi right in front of me as Ienjoyed my meal. The meal began with a few simple appetizers: potato, beet, and miso soup. The beet was worth recommending, but the potato lacked seasoning and tasted overly plain. One thing that struck me as odd was the miso soup—it had an oily surface, which felt unfamiliar and slightly off-putting. The nigiri was skillfully crafted by the chef. The rice portion was well-balanced in relation to the size and thickness of the fish, and the wasabi was placed between the rice and fish, with a light soy-based glaze brushed on top—giving it a traditional touch. The chef’s expertise was evident in the delicate knife work on the fish, making it more tender, and in the personalized sauces applied to each piece. These techniques reflected a high level of craftsmanship. However, I felt the rice lacked depth of flavor, and the fresh wasabi had little to no kick. There was no sharpness when biting into the sushi. Perhaps this was an intentional choice to appeal to a broader audience with milder flavors, but personally, I would have preferred a more distinctly Japanese taste. As for feedback to the restaurant: I believe more care should be taken when plating dishes—any spills or smudges around the plate should be cleaned before serving. Also, if a dish is returned due to lack of flavor, the restaurant should be willing to accept it (unless the customer has already eaten more than a third of it). Refusing a return over a single $6 item could prevent a customer who spends over $150 per visit from returning. Aside from the overly simplistic and somewhat rude service from one of the servers, I found the restaurant overall to be quite good. The entrance featured a subtly maintained garden, decorated posters and artwork, and a second-floor dining area with casual seating for groups—all of which gave off a trendy, hip vibe. I do plan to return, and I recommend this place.

5+++++++++⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A perfect evening at Akira. we sat at the sushi bar and our sushi chef was Taro the owner. He got creative and even though we ordered from the menu, he surprised us w some off the menu items. Sushi was fresh and spit on. We’ll be back next week. This restaurant makes me happy that we live here in Eugene!!!

Fantastic sushi and other Japanese dishes. An interesting blend of music accentuates your meal with everything from Kendrick to Steely Dan to Clarence Carter. My favorite dish was the smoked duck buns and the sake sushi salmon was so tender. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Taro and his staff at Akira provide an atmosphere, quality of food, and elite service that is second to none. I have lived and eaten at high end Sushi houses throughout the West Coast and I can say without prejudice that Akira is the best of the best. I had a decent day going energetically and went in for a date night tonight, and through Taro's great and honest energy, amazing food, and supporting nature, I left happy and uplifted. Enjoy Akira and you will love the visit!

We came here on a busy night & no reservation! The food was sooooooo delicious. We asked for a chirashi bowl and it was so so so good. We sat at the bar and chef asked what our preferences were too. Erik makes some seriously delicious dessert, id get whatevers on the menu! we had the rhubarb chocolate mochi cake and the plum wine cheesecake. So sad i dont have a photo. Felt very cared for here. 10/10 recommend.

Chef Taro has passion. Passion for his food, the dining experience, and the craft of providing a culinary experience for his guests. My son just completed his degree and for his celebratory dinner selected Akira. He knows I am a sushi fanatic so he suggested Akira. I eat sushi at least 3 times a month all over the country and Akira is exceptional. The beet appetizer, the Manju steamed buns (a spiritual experience), the nigiri (perfection), the special scallop he prepared for us so sweet and amazing, and not to be missed the so delicious and creative hand rolls. The craftsman style home where Akira resides fits the Japanese aesthetics perfectly. It is clear that Chef Taro has put his unique stamp on everything served at Akira. Thank you Chef for a wonderful evening.

This was our first time at Akira and it was amazing. I am from Los Angeles and am always disappointed by Sushi in other places. Akira could be the best sushi in Oregon it is definitely in the top 3. Everything was amazing. The sushi chef was super passionate, knowledgeable and added to the zen of the whole experience. Each bite was visual and epicurean art. Can't wait to go back!!!

Restaurant
Tacovore is a trendy counter-serve restaurant in Eugene, popular among locals, college students, and tourists. It offers a variety of Mexican bites including their signature tacos and drinks. The menu features unique options like fried mushroom and grilled octopus tacos, as well as classic favorites like carnitas. The food is described as flavorful and well worth the price. Customers also praise the house-made tortillas and diverse salsa selection. The outdoor patio provides a pleasant dining experience with its shaded seating area.
The BEST tacos!!! And they have delicious margaritas as well. You order food before you sit, and they bring it to your table. The atmosphere is enjoyable, they usually have music playing. Staff is friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

My partner and I are obsessed with the Herbivore taco and the fried tofu taco!! We love supporting quality vegan options (have to order Herbivore with no cheese). The tempeh chorizo and mushroom tacos are great, too. Only reason for four stars is because I reserve five for restaurants that don't serve any animal products.

The flavor pops on all the tacos I chose. I got shrimp taco, seafood taco and carnitas taco. All were very delicious. I loved the shrimp taco the best. I highly recommend this place. The service was very good. Friendly staff and didn't have to wait long for food. They also serve beer and other drinks. The decor is very cool and the lights are dim which makes the atmosphere very calm and chill. I will definitely return here!

The food, drinks, and service is amazing and fast! Awesome decor and vibes. Sometimes it can be a bit busy inside, but the outside seating is beautiful, has heaters, and is usually quiet. The chicken mole tacos are my favorite, the specials are always amazing too. The food and cocktails are made with quality ingredients. I love that when I order a vodka soda, they use sparkling mineral water. Its easy to eat here as someone who cannot eat gluten.

Very solid. Great local spot. There is a reason there is always a line (it moves fast). Torta and marg are always go too. My only issue is I need them to have the coconut margarita more often.

Experimental tacos your thing? This is your place! They have tradition stuff too and there are folks in the back making hand made tortillas. Some stuff is awesome, while a few items hit the menu that didn’t hit my taste buds correctly. The experiments are there if you want, but the traditional stuff always hits. My daughter liked the beans and cheese bowl. Oh, and best margaritas in town.

Located in downtown Eugene, the warm and inviting ambiance adorned with beautiful Thai decorations provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. We really love this Thai restaurant in Eugene! Our drinks were great and the service was really good. The pot of gold appetizers were tasty! The mango curry was a chefs special and did not disappoint. The garlic prawns were also very tasty. Everything was fast and fresh. We will be back!

This is probably one of the tastiest Thai restaurants in town. The food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was a bit lame though. The waitress was not very attentive and we had a little one so when we wanted the check, no one was around for what felt like 10 minutes. They did provide some carrots for him to chew on, but they charched us 2 bucks. lol. It was also really loud in the restaurant. Like hard to hear across the table loud. I’ll still go back for the food.

Visited this restaurant for dinner on my way to Crater lake and absolutely loved it. The food was awesome and the place was quite busy. I felt this place could use some additional help. Staff was quite helpful and answered all questions and concerns. There was ample parking outside the establishment. We didn't have to wait to get seated, service time was reasonable. Ambiance was quite good and this place can be your choice to celebrate or a business lunch/dinner. Menu was reasonably priced and the restrooms were clean and usable. I started with their iced tea and that was really refreshing. For food, I tried their red curry with rice and Pad Kee Mao with Chicken and Tofu. For dessert I had their Mango Ice Cream. I enjoyed all of the items and definitely recommend them depending on the preferences. Red curry if you are looking for spicy curry with rice. They also had different spice levels for food depending on the preferences of the customer. The place had an accessible entrance.

Their lava fish is amaaaazing! My partner always got the PKM and that’s also very good. Have tried their bbq ribs before too, so good! They serve the food really fast, but of course that might depend on how crowded it is. We’ve never had to wait >15mins so far, place was probably 50% full. Service has always been wonderful. Been a pleasant experience.

I loved this food. It was extremely busy. I'm here for a medical training. Walked to restaurant in lovely heat. The staff was friendly. Perhaps, they were overworked and busy. The staff gave an outstanding recommendation to try Swimming Lady dish. I usually go for green curry. Exceptional recommendation. Water was much appreciated. I might have ordered something to go for a snack as I'm adjusting to time and need gluten free options. The service was extremely kind and polite. Never checked on me, though. It took an excess amount of time to check out.

Absolutely the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I tried the vegetable fried rice and the Pad Thai and both were bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and incredibly fresh. The seasoning was spot on, and the service was just as impressive. Ta Ra Rin is a must-visit in Eugene!

Rye is a charming French-inspired tavern-style eatery that offers refined cuisine and handcrafted cocktails in a rustic-chic setting. The restaurant features an intimate pub-like atmosphere with a comfortable dining room, outdoor patio, and full-service bar.
Wonderful all-round experience for refined meals that don't exceed the limits of reason. I personally got the poutine, catch of the day dish (Chinook salmon), and a goat cheesecake to finish. Everything was perfectly seasoned and had contrast in its components, so as to not be monotonous or too rich. The staff were very friendly and provided wonderful service throughout my dining experience. Overall, very highly recommended for a fancier dining experience in the Eugene area!

Oh my gosh… so far this is the best restaurant i have eaten in since i arrived in the USA. I tried many restaurants from SFO to Eugene.. and Rye, Eugene tops them all… i tried the opinion soup and my husband tried the beff ribs… i finished with their home made caramel chocolet… we decided to come back again tomorrow 🫣 i deduct one star in the atmosphere section because of the cooking smell… that is all.

A long overdue birthday dinner for my boys. They wanted to go here because they knew and had worked with the owners and some staff and had heard good things about the food. It was around 7pm on a Wednesday, very easy parking and got a table immediately for the four of us. Our server Ross was amazing! He helped us with the menu and as it wasn’t very busy, was able to chat with us a little bit and we were very pleased and impressed with his service. He was there quietly in the background and immediately available. For starters we shared the Fried Calamari and the Duck Confit Poutine. Although enjoyable, the Calamari was overly salty. The poutine was amazing! The duck was very tasty, the fries cooked perfectly, the curds deliciously melty, but the Demi-glacé was so extremely amazing. I wanted to lick the bowl! My entree was the Summer Vegetable Risotto and it was so fresh and tasty. If there was any negative, it was a little sticky, but wonderful nonetheless. My sons and husband enjoyed their meals immensely saying the duck and tuna were both cooked to perfection. The fresh vegetables were a great addition. One son and I got the Pot d’creme to go and I ate mine for breakfast, it was extremely tasty. After the meal, the staff graciously took pictures of my family for us and the boys chatted briefly with an employee they had both worked with previously. We all agreed that we would return.

I have mix feelings about this restaurant. I gave myself a cooling off period before writing this review, which also allowed me to compare it to other Eugene restaurants. The restaurant ran out of multiple entrees by 7pm, with a relatively small menu. We chose second choices. Our waiter was either inexperienced or not good at his job. Not familiar with menu, items on the menu, etc.. We started dinner on the patio, but were overwhelmed by flies and bees. Was uneatable out there, and we were moved inside. The food was too salty for my palate. Dessert (goat cheese cheesecake) was also a miss in execution, despite being two of my favorites. The food was pretty in its presentation. Though on fiestaware plates. I am reluctant to be critical of a restaurant probably struggling to provide quality meals and experience in a small city setting. However, I don't feel the level of this restaurant experience justifies to the cost of the meal... too pricey for what we received. Relatively small portions too. I had better meals and service and lower prices at other restaurants in Eugene on this trip. This may have been an off day for rye restaurant, but this was my experience.

Rye deserves a lot of applause for its excellent quality and attention to detail. The bartender, chef, and chocolatier deserve accolades for their orchestration of complex flavors. Wait staff was informed, enthusiastic, and attentive. A true joy to spend an evening over an excellent meal.

Went to Rye for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the food and especially by the cocktails. i recommend the cocktail “the cure”!! my favorite thing by far were the brussels sprouts w halloumi (wish it had more bacon pieces), my steak came out to be more medium well than my request of medium but the chimichurri was fantastic and leveled up the dish FOR SURE! our waiter was a bit interesting and i felt kinda rushed at times but overall decent.

Bar
Event venue
Nestled in Eugene's historic Broadway & Pearl District, Ambrosia Restaurant & Bar offers a blend of classic Italian flavors with a Pacific Northwest twist. The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting ambiance, complete with comfortable decor, a traditional bar, and an exquisite old-fashioned chandelier crafted from multicolored glass. Their seasonal menu showcases wood-fired pizzas, handmade pasta, locally sourced produce, seafood, meats, and delectable house-made Italian desserts.
Great place to impress a date. Romantic lighting, intimate seating. We enjoyed seafood pasta special with fab sauce, a thick halibut portion & amazing lamb chops--so tender! The lobster/crab cakes were divine. Enjoyed a hibiscus infused gin cocktail with dinner. No room for dessert.
Marlene M — Google review
Friendly service, the lovely owner was making rounds and checking in at tables. He even brought us prosecco! Our server was sweet. The lasagna and papparadelle are their homemade pastas. I had the beef stroganoff, and it was pretty good. The texture of the sauce was smooth, and the teres major was tender and an excellent cut for the dish. The pasta noodles were dissapointingly too thick, and the sauce was a touch over salted. These could be easily adjusted and fixed, and it is possible that this is not the norm for how they prepare their handmade pastas. The chocolate mousse was stunning. It was light, rich, silky, and exceptionally executed. The parking lot adjacent to the restaurant is paid parking, and street parking is free after 6 pm.

The food was good, nothing very special about it. Was expecting more for their cocktails after looking at the bar set up. I ordered a amaretto sour and was expecting it to be fancier for an Italian restaurant. The creme brulee dessert was the highlight of the visit.
Scott S — Google review
V&I were visiting our daughter in Eugene and decided to try a long standing Italian restaurant downtown off Pearl (I guess we hadn’t had enough Italian food in the last month!). I honestly didn’t have huge expectations but we really liked it! The menu has many opportunities to experiment among traditional Italian dishes including pastas, meats and seafood. They also have their own pizza oven which I was not at all expecting. Although we skipped the pizza (one item we did have plenty of and yet not enough in Italy), we did try a delicious pasta dish with tomatoes and sausage, one of their several salads to choose from and I ordered the lamb chops which was served over a potato casserole puree that reminded me of polenta which I’m a big fan of. Portion sizes were large and I had five lamb chops on my plate. Although I prefer thicker chops, these were decent size and cooked perfectly. The pasta was home made and I learned later that our server gave the owner the recipe. We didn’t skip dessert and the options were excellent including tiramisu, ice creams and sorbets, panna cotta and crème brute - the standards. We tried two and left full and happy. Speaking of service, it was terrific - interactive, attentive but overly so, efficient with table runners (side note here to better restaurants that don’t have them — GET THEM! They leverage your team and get food out to your clients so their food is hot), and provided suggestions based on what they have observed others enjoy most (sorry servers but your taste buds don’t speak to everyone so don’t speak for yourself). The restaurant was bit dated like most everything else in Eugene (sorry Eugene but you have a bit of a road hard and put up wet vibe) but was clean, pretty busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Gregory C — Google review
Nice cozy restaurant in a historical building. My only suggestion is that since this is an Italian restaurant they should play music that reflects this theme.
Patrick F — Google review
My friend loves this place, so we go every year for his birthday. To be fair, the drinks are good and they have great service. However every single year we come, we all end up hating our meals. Not to mention even though it’s his birthday, they didn't bring him dessert. This extremely tiny piece of fish I ordered was $50!!!! Even the presentation was bad. To top it off, it tasted undercooked and fishy, and I later suffered from food poisoning. We ordered bread for the table ($4) and it’s a few pieces of a thinly sliced baguette. The portions here are insanely disappointing for the price, and for a $50 piece of fish, bread should be included. Do yourself a favor and go to Placedos instead.

Restaurant
Cafe Soriah is a cozy restaurant that offers a unique blend of Mediterranean cuisine with a Northwest influence. The menu features a variety of dishes, including marinated beef skewers, spanakopita, and Greek seafood platter, all prepared with high-quality local ingredients. Guests can enjoy their meal on the heated garden patio. One of the highlights is the Spanish Coffee, which is not only delicious but also prepared as a captivating show by the skilled bartenders.
Amazing Dinner as always!! I live out of State now and every time I come home I request to come to Soriah! Tonight I had the Duck which was perfectly cooked and had a great crusting on the skin, the sauce was a phenomenal berry reduction. We had the Trio appetizer with Dolmas, Hummus served with fresh warm Pita, as well as the Calamari. The other entrees were the Steak Diane, and the Prawns Naseem (as an entree). I love dessert trays and this one didn’t disappoint! Plus each piece was Real and from the actual options of the night. This is a forgotten art to me and I truly appreciate it when there is a Dessert Tray! I ended up getting the Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Box Cake- so rich and deep flavors it was great!

The food did not live up to its reputation. The bread was unheated and lacked flavor and texture. The shrimp dish i ordered was served with flavorless rice and a scoop of equally flavorless vegetables. The shrimp was well seasoned but didn't come with enough sauce to make the rice paletable. The dessert and service was very nice.

This place is spectacular!! I don’t know how to do this place justice with a review. I can’t say enough about every detail. Had a great cocktail, and our server was on top of things. But boy, howdy, the food. The server brought bread and butter: plain sourdough and unsalted butter. Yum. And then I had what might be the single worst Caesar salad I've ever had; the dressing was bland. More or less just a wet pile of lettuce. Ordered a spread of pickles, hummus, pita, etc. Again, bland. I wouldn't even call it hummus -- hummus is typically made with more than *just* chickpeas. The other dip seemed to be pure tahini. Fortunately the pita was edible, but it was more or less store bought. The running theme for the night: a lack of flavor. It made me worry I was suffering a brain injury that affected my tastebuds. Has the price of salt gone up? Lemons? For years I've heard great things about this place, and I suppose its reputation will remain a mystery. To be fair, it could be that I was just supremely unlucky. Your mileage may vary!

This place surprised me. Exceptionally good food in taste and quality! My husband and I are both gluten-free. I ordered the Steak Diane, which I highly recommend! He ordered the rack of lamb. I don't like lamb normally however his dish was surprisingly good! Now, it's a month later and I am salivating for this places food, again, including the rack of lamb! Will definitely be going back! Highly recommend this place! Update: This place still surprises me at how truly high quality their ingredients are for each dish along with the best tasting dishes. They rotate their menu seasonally with some main staples that stick around year long such as the steak Diane.

Was not very impressed with the food quality. I was told by many people how great the food was, but unfortunately my experience was not. I ordered their special, the salmon. The presentation was great however my food was a little cold. The taste was not impressive but it was good nonetheless. Our waiter was amazing, he recommended an amazing whiskey drink, his attitude was happy, very attentive and always made sure to check on us. The dessert was phenomenal. Price per plate including drink was approximately 45 - 50, not including dessert. A little pricey. In conclusion, solid 4/5. Willing to try again.

Customer service is amazing but the food was sub par. We were a group of 6 and alll ordered something different. No one was happy with their meal. Way too much saffron in the rice. Salmon over cooked all the dishes had too much sauce on them because the actual food was tasteless so they dump a ton of sauce on it to add flavor.

I came with low expectations thinking i was going to find the typical Mediterranean food. Happens to be I found a 6 star restaurant. I choose the Steak Diane and i can honestly say that it is the best stake ever. Andrea was the best host that i have ever been served by. She is amazing, energetic, friendly and speaks great Spanish. I highly recommend this location. Great food, great fancy atmosphere and yet very affordable. You will not regret coming here.

Cornbread Café is a vibrant and cozy restaurant that offers homestyle vegan dishes made with organic ingredients. The cafe provides a nice atmosphere for vegans and non-meat eaters, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Customers have praised the delicious options on the menu, such as the tofu patty burger, flavorful fries, and tempting build-your-own meal choices like Chick'n Fried Tempeh & Gravy.
Nice vibe and excellent place for vegans. We stopped on this place in afternoon on our way back from Portland to San Francisco. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. Me being a vegetarian is always on the lookout for non meat options and this place gave me a lot of options. We tried the burger, fries and burrito. The fries are absolutely delicious, the burger has a nice tofu patty. The burrito was okay, I personally did not like it. Would have loved to try out other options too but we were short on time. 5 stars for ambience, 5 stars for service and 4 for food.

I stopped in while driving through Eugene and thoroughly enjoyed my visit! Since there were so many tempting choices (all vegan), I struggled to choose, but the staff were incredibly helpful in their suggestions. I ultimately settled on the Build Your Own with Chick'n Fried Tempeh & Gravy, Mac unCheese, Sassy Slaw, and Jalapeno Cornbread. I also threw in a side of the hushpuppies and a chocolate shake for good measure :). Everything was delicious and I had leftovers for days! Everyone who worked there was so kind and provided stellar service. I highly recommend giving Cornbread Cafe a try!

Delicious food, awesome service, and great outside seating. I’m not vegan and was a bit hesitant but everything tasted great. The fried chicken tasted like sausage and was super well seasoned and yummy. The fries were really over salted though which was disappointing. The ranch was delicious and didn’t taste lacking of buttermilk.

This place is amazing. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere (even the bathrooms are cute), and the food is unbelievable. If you need some comfort food or something with a little more soul, head on over, vegan or not. Even people not into vegan food should have a real hard time being disappointed. I lived in the south for over 4 years, and this stuff is as good as anything I ever ate there, with the bonus of being healthier and cruelty free.

SO YUMMY! It's great if you're looking for something delicious and filthy. I got BBQ steaks with mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and cornbread. For dessert we shared DEEP FRIED CHEESECAKE! All vegan!!!

This food was absolutely delicious. It really gives you a full southern feel from the breading of the chik'n fried tempeh to the 'creamy' coleslaw. We had a build your own platter to try a bunch of things out and I can't recommend it enough. To top it off the grilled biscuit with the delectable sweet spread was the icing on the cake of a wonderful meal.
G P — Google review
This wonderful little comfort food diner is where you need to take your non plant-based friends to let them experience how vegan is done! It's the kind of food experience I personally love, but mainly for that moment when someone with you- not expecting vegan to taste that good- stops after the first bite, opens their eyes wide, and says: "No. Way." We shared the breakfast burrito with a cinnamon spiced sweet potato mash, and the Eugenewich- a tofu slab covered with veggie sauce and cheese on a toasted brioche bun. Had to have the side of jojo's, and chose the agave dijon for dipping. All the flavors were great, looking forward to trying a few other options on our next trip through Eugene. Can't believe we didn't try the cornbread!
Matt E — Google review
The food was quite greasy as you'd expect from any comfort food but it was incredibly delicious. The Reuben was particularly amazing and I couldn't stop eating the Cajun fries. The booths could use an update as they were duct taped in spots, but it was clean and the food was great so I'd definitely visit again perhaps for a breakfast item next time!

Restaurant
Falling Sky Brewing is a laid-back brewery and pub in Eugene, offering a variety of house-brewed drafts, local spirits, and hearty pub fare. The establishment is part of a family-owned group that includes a Delicatessen, Pizzeria and Public House. Falling Sky prides itself on crafting everything in-house using the finest ingredients, from beer to sodas and even curing and smoking their own food.
Fabulous service and excellent food. Our whole group enjoyed their food. We tried the salad, pretzel, fried pickles, pastrami, fries and tacos. It was all delicious! The friendly knowledgeable staff at the counter answered all of our questions and was very cheerful. She was happy to serve our pup some snacks as well. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. The sun shined on the patio, it was a fantastic lunch. I highly recommend you visit Falling Sky Brewing.

Once again Falling Sky proves to be one of the most amazing dining experiences you never expect you’re going to get. The welcoming atmosphere and service from a team that genuinely love what they do is such a spectacular first impression. The menu is varied but not endless. From a basic cheese burger , to Nashville HOT chicken Sandi, to one of the best Cuban sandwiches this side of Havana. The food not only doesn’t disappoint, it knocks your socks off. The brews and a brilliant bar menu really elevate the entire experience to something you feel compelled to share with those you know and love. As if this weren’t enough, this is also a 5 star furry friend establishment as well. If you’re traveling thru and looking for a genuine Eugene local treasure. Falling Sky has never disappointed.

Great local brewery I stopped at on a whim while driving through Eugene. Wide beer selection, and also mixed drinks/cocktails. Plus a really solid food menu. I got the Fried Pickles and have never had such a crispy fried Pickle. Very good. Also some very cool murals outside.

First visit! AWESOME place! The people who work here are so cool and helpful. We met Mariah and a Ginger I believe named Rusty. The food is all fresh, flavorful, and damn good. They make their own infused cocktails and have a spectacular beer selection.

I appreciate the friendly and inviting folks working at the counter. They were very accommodating. Music that was playing was great. However, I asked for a well-done cooked cheeseburger and a toasted GF bun, but unfortunately my burger was medium and my bun was not toasted. I could've said something, but I'm willing to give this place a second chance some time in the future.
Patrick F — Google review
Beer was solid, I enjoyed the Pale Ale very much. The garlic parm fries were excellent, big fan of the sauces they make as well. Pretzel was mid, but the beer cheese was solidly 8/10, really tied the room together. Speaking of tying the room together, this establishment lacks atmosphere; its cold figuratively and literally, locked off the main road in an alleyway. Service was solid, they were playing my favorite Blink-182 album, attentive and kind staff.
Sam — Google review
My partner and I ordered dinner to be delivered and they sent the most awful, burned food to us through Door Dash. I’m attaching photos because someone actually packed this food looking like this (burned buns, burned and inedible chicken, and “crispy” fries so soggy mine were actually wet. I called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone could not have cared less. It was awful, and we insisted on a refund from Door Dash. Yikes! -5 ⭐️s!

I stopped in on a busy Saturday night. The brewery was crowded with students and locals. My group had a dog and so we sat outside and chatted with other dog lovers. The food was excellent burgers and tacos covered our table along with dark beer and ales. The variety of beers was excellent and everyone was able to get something they liked to drink. Definitely stop in and if you're not into crowds, try during the week. Oh, and don't miss the two murals outside in the Brewery parking lot.

Izakaya Meiji Co. is a modern Japanese tavern and neighborhood drinking house located in Eugene's hip Whiteaker neighborhood. The restaurant offers a seasonal menu of Japanese-inspired small plates and entrees, along with craft cocktails and an extensive selection of whiskeys in a stylish pub-like setting with wooden accents.
An excellent dining, drinking and socializing experience modeled after traditional Japanese-style pubs. First, the service is professional, authentic and kind - from the host, bartenders, servers, food runners, and beverage runners. Sam was awesome and knowledgeable, and took the time to provide a little guidance and make some suggestions. The patrons spanned a range of ages and vibes, all in comfort. The menu has a wide variety of options that would appeal to a broad audience, from meat-eaters to veggie lovers, with reasonable price ranges. The food quality is awesome. We tried about nine different dishes and each was fantastic. The drink & cocktail menu is fun and interesting. Food comes out promptly and consistently, and is well-presented. Super fun eating establishment - I almost came back the next night for more! But the number one reason I want to come back is because of the positive first impression made by the staff, who say "welcome" instead of, well, using a particularly unnecessary trailing preposition. 😀 Looking forward to coming here again.

Well. It starts with the fairy lights and becomes an experience of illuminated moments that elevate the evening. This was my second time coming. My first visit happened with the love of my life...so I had not expectations that this visit could match that. Yet when we walked in and we're lead to the bar as requested, it began with the inevitable personality of our bartender Jean. He carried himself with the charm of Vanna White and the confident if rascally flirtatiousness of a court jester who secretly doubles as the monarch... The bar was accentuated by lights placed strategically to help move the eye up through the several shelves. My friend started with a delicious sparkling Vouvray Brut from Domaine du Petit (? forgot) that came in a gorgeous coupe. It was chilled and delicious but I swear the coupe they poured it in also enhanced the experience because of its elegance. I ordered the painkiller, which was wonderfully frothy and having been shaken with ice, garnished with a piece of fresh pineapple, and sprinkled with a dusting of no nonsense nutmeg. We ordered the Ikura Onirigi for each of us -- which was as delicious as I remembered! Don't kill yourself, it's so good you really won't want to share. We also ordered the Japanese sweet potato which came smothered in a miso sauce. If you don't like salty ask for it on the side, it allows you to enjoy the sauce without feeling like the potato loses itself. The garlic steamed broccoli with black pepper was very on point and disappeared quickly. The miso butter shiitake mushroom caps were a favorite for my friend as was the spicy tuna poke. What I loved about that dish was the balance of avocado chunks and minced green onion. But it does really have a kick so be prepared… Perhaps my favorite dish was the agadashi tofu -- if I'm honest I always judge a Japanese restaurant by this signature appetizer. I had ordered it on my first Meiji: It was delicious then and it was delicious tonight. Highly recommend. My friend ran into another singer while we were there, and we made friends with our bar mates readily bc it was a friendly bar, with Jean creating a conversational culture of engagement. Super cool experience the second time here, too. Looking forward to returning again.

Yup, another new fav. Our friends introduced us to this classic Izakaya. Every bite was a gem. We tried to order one of everything on the menu, but loved what we initially tried so ended up getting about three of the initial key items, including pork belly, smoked salmon salad, sashimi, steak skewers, curry soba, firecracker shrimp skewers - all thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We’ll be going back to try what we missed before.

Always amazing food, great service and tasty drinks. One of Eugene's best restaurants, hands down. The librarian ladder for each bar is quite fitting. The Meji Burger with cheese and side of wasabi mayo for the fries is luscious.
Matthew B — Google review
I have been here many times and have enjoyed the food and service. Today I waited an unreasonable amount of time for both my food and drinks. We waited about 30 minutes for each drink we ordered. I would expect better service from an establishment I am spending $50 a person for. I will not be coming back.
Jennifer K — Google review
Recalling the memories of ordering small dishes and drinking various types of alcohol at a Japanese izakaya, I visited this place with high expectations, especially since they had a wide selection of Sochu and sake. However, from the very first order of Miso Egg, the quality of the food was so poor that we finished our meal in just 30 minutes and left for another restaurant. The Miso Egg was sour and extremely salty, the sweet potato fries were served cold, and the accompanying sauces were inconsistently seasoned—some too salty, others bland. The Chashu in the donburi was tough and dry, the teriyaki sauce was bland, and the vegetables were overly bitter. The sashimi platter we ordered was shockingly bad, with the tuna tataki mixed in and the yellowtail and salmon not being fresh at all. I am very curious how they can operate under the name of a Japanese restaurant with such food. I do not recommend this place at all. If you want to experience better Japanese food, I suggest Sushi Station on 5th Ave or Jinsei Izakaya in front of OU.

This is an awesome spot to get very well made Asian inspired food. The vibe is casual and relaxed and the people are fantastic. The menu is a large selection of shareable plates that you order throughout your meal. No pressure on your pace, just take your time and enjoy great food with your people.

Poppi's Anatolia is a hidden gem in downtown Eugene, offering a unique fusion of Greek and Indian cuisine. The restaurant has been serving this delightful combination for over three decades. Guests can enjoy crispy pappadoms as a starter and explore flavorful dishes like traditional Greek gyro or Vindaloo chicken curry. The mild flavors of Greek food perfectly complement the complex spices of Indian cooking.
Cutest leather bound drink menu - detailed list of all the unknown liquors. Massive points as someone with allergies! The Poppi's Pom Collins was so light and refreshing after a long day. My partner got the house brewed Hibiscus Iced Tea that was rich and full of flavor. The atmosphere is so beautiful with a low light and natural color tones in the wood and rich red tones around the decor. Some nice mellow music to wind down a long day. The food was excellent and did not disappoint. They will be going over to Greek food and away from Indian, we got the gyro plate and the vindaloo chicken curry. Great flavors and a great chunk of bone in chicken in the Curry. Absolutely wonderful little place, glad we found it

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Please be aware that street parking is required and may involve a fee. The restaurant is somewhat small, so depending on the day and time of your visit, you may experience a wait for a table. Their menu is quite extensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, including two daily specials and a couple of appetizers to share. We found their mango lassies to be more tart and yogurt-forward than mango-flavored.

The new location is great with more space and easier parking. They were super cool and we got a table with no notice (dont recommend, I'd be a responsible adult and make a reservation, lol). We loved the 3 appetizers platter and also got spanikopita and the Souvlaki. All the food was delicious. We made it a quick use dinner date and our server caught on that we wanted to eat and get out of there. What a nice meal after a very long day! 😋
Lora L — Google review
Had a date night here and while most of the food was delicious, the service was terrible. Our waitress had to hike up her pants every time she moved from one table to the next and I never saw her wash her hands, she also had to be asked three times for bubbly water that my husband ordered before she brought it, and she delivered the food without a fork to eat it, then looked perplexed when we asked for one when we were able to get her attention ten minutes later. It made the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere not as great. I don't think we'll be returning.
Ro Z — Google review
I thought the food was not that great. Lamb was overcooked and tough shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Maybe they just were having a bad night. I’m not sure. Would I go back? Definitely not
Kris K — Google review
food was fine but 20% overpriced. Ive had similar greek food from random hole in the wall places in bigger cities. The service is fine but the servers need to be trained better and the timing needs to be better. Kitchen is too slow. food should be served within 25 minutes. atmosphere was good but too loud. theyd benefit from booths or more separation. we spent over $100 on two basic meals (souvlaki and gyro) and four glasses of wine and a basic appetizer. honestly seemed like too much for what it was. we probably wont go back regularly unless it were 30% cheaper or 30% better (food and service).Hope they can make it work but if theyre transitioning to a millennial customer base they are going to need to make changes.

What a treat! Truly delicious food and great people. Normally the menu is a combination of Indian and Greek food, occasionally they have a Greek night with expanded selections — the eggplant dip (Melitzanosalata) and calamari were incredible as were our entrees. Hideaway Bakery is an eco-friendly bakeshop that offers artisanal, wood-fired breads and pastries, along with organic coffee and sandwiches. In addition to its bakery offerings, the establishment serves wood-fired pizza on Tuesday nights during the summer. The menu features top-quality breakfast and lunch options, including seasonal soup and salad specials made with Willamette Valley fruits. The patio is open year-round with heaters in the winter, providing a sandbox for children to enjoy while their parents relax nearby.
My family and I dropped by here before heading for the Amazon outdoor pool. Lovely alternative atmosphere and friendly service. The pesto sandwich was awesome. The service was fast for ready made products. We had to wait 30 minutes for the sandwich but it was worth it. We also took some freshly packed sourdough bread with us for the road.

I wanted to love this bakery, because it’s right near my father‘s home so when I come from New York, we could have beautiful pastries in the morning with our coffee. While the people that work there are lovely, I don’t at all see the hype. The cinnamon bun, the croissant, and the espresso in the latte, make me realize that people in Eugene don’t know delicious coffee and pastries. Maybe I am just spoiled from living in New York City and Europe (Paris, France and Florence, Italy) but this bakery needs something WAY more than flour and sugar, it needs taste. Don’t waste your time in the line. It is a cute little location, however.

Beyond the great food, I love coming to Hideaway for the neighborhood friendly atmosphere. Unless it’s pouring rain, I like to sit outside, but the cozy indoor tables by a big fireplace are comfy, too. Everything I have tried here (from pastries to breads to sandwiches and pizza)has been delicious, and they make good coffee!

One of the BEST Bakery and Breakfast eateries we have ever visited. The owner Mazzi and his staff were kind and super nice. We were visiting from the NJ/NY and recommended to go here by our niece who lives in the area as the best in Eugene. I would say one of the Best in the Country!
Ed S — Google review
7/30/25 - The owner of Hideaway Bakery read my original review from 7/23/25 and refunded our meal because of the poor experience we had as stated below as well as letting me know that staff would be informed on how the situation should have been handled. Therefore, I have changed the stars given from 1 star to 4. I really appreciate that they did this, and this makes me want to give our experience there a 2nd chance. I have never posted a poor review, but my daughter and I had a bad experience at Hideaway Bakery yesterday. I called at 11:50am to order our sandwiches because my daughter had a short lunch break. When we arrived at the bakery to pay for the sandwiches I told them I called in my order. After waiting over 30 minutes and seeing people who ordered after us receiving their orders, my daughter asked if ours would be ready soon because she needed to go back to work. They said somehow they lost the order and would make them right away. Finally, at 12:45, we got our sandwiches, and my daughter quickly ate half of it on our way to drop her back off at work. The bakery didn't even offer to make it right in any way. I had added a 20% tip when I paid, which was not deserved. Also, the tables under the cover, which were shaded each had a single person on a laptop at them, so we had to sit in the full sun in 90-degree heat. It was not a good experience at all, unfortunately.
Paula S — Google review
I was super excited to give this place a try, there was decent amount of people so we assumed it must be pretty good. Outside was cute, heaters were outside and a place to stay inside with a fire pit. Waited about 15 minutes in line- not bad there was a decent selection of food and pastries and bread. The very disappointing thing was waiting an HOUR for 2 okay sandwiches. I was suprised they didn’t even say it would be a long wait just for a sandwich. MOST places when there’s a long wait you get notified or something. We got the food and it was okay. A little spendy for what you get and was not worth the wait. I got there at 9am and left almost 10:35am and had to just eat in my car due to a few hour drive back. Would be better of just going to the Cresswell bakery and would have been able to get good food in a timely manner. The staff at the Hideaway bakery seemed snobby and very short. I normally tip well and I love little bakery’s but will not be coming back. And would recommend if you’re hungry and want food in a timely manner-don’t go. Even if the wait time would have been stated that would have been incredibly helpful.
Tiana H — Google review
We had an awful experience. In short, do not visit here on the weekend, or unless you have three hours to wait, and don’t have to order gluten free bread. It took over two and a half hours to order and receive our food, when it arrived, one of the four items ordered was missing, one of the orders was wrong and even though we asked for gluten free bread, regular bread was given causing one of our party to become ill. The server did what she could, but had to tell me that the missing brunch dish wasn’t sent to the kitchen with my order, and that they could make one but it would take a lot of time. I will never return. The coffee was great, and it was a cute place, but neither of those things can justify a return visit. I wish I could take back the nearly three hours of my day I spent there. Two stars given for the food since the two dishes of the four ordered that were correct were good. But I cannot overlook the incorrect order, giving us regular bread instead of gluten free, and completely missing one entree even though it took over two hours to get our food.

This cafe was highly recommended while we were in town. We arrived early before the crowds and I was excited to try the Parisian. Unfortunately there was some miscommunication about the ovens and we would have had to wait over an hour and fifteen minutes for a sandwich. Very disappointing especially on a weekend during the Track and Field Olympic Trials when you know the town of Eugene will be busy. We did have nice espresso drinks and got a free pastry. Edit update: I returned a year later and it wasn’t any better. We ordered three simple sandwiches (two were the same and one was a breakfast sandwich) and it took 41 minutes from the time that I paid to the time that we received our order. It was around 2p. That’s excessive.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Eugene, Bar Purlieu is a charming French and European restaurant that offers a modern twist on classic cuisine. With its cozy, dimly lit ambiance, it’s the perfect spot for an intimate dining experience. The menu showcases locally sourced ingredients inspired by seasonal offerings from the valley. Guests can indulge in delightful dishes like beautifully seared scallops or a refreshing citrus salad during winter months, while summer brings options such as tuna Nicoise and corn with chorizo.
We've been coming to Eugene for over 30 years to visit my parents. This dining experience was, by far, the best we've ever had in Eugene. Started with oysters and bread, both excellent. We then shared the Little Gem salad, with pistachio crumble and a decadent lemon dressing. My wife had the seared scallops, which were amazing but came out only luke warm. I had the Knee Deep Filet minion with caramelized onions and potatoes, the filet was cooked and seared to perfection. We finished with the flourless chocolate cake, topped with delicious raspberry puree. We will be back!
Greg K — Google review
I’ve always considered Bar Purlieu one of my favorite spots, so I was genuinely excited to return. The meal started off strong, the Brussels sprouts with Vietnamese vinaigrette were incredible, and the cocktails were just as delicious as I remembered. Presentation throughout the night was stunning as every plate looked like a work of art. But don’t let that fool you, the depth of flavor just wasn’t there. My steelhead entrée was beautifully plated, but the fish was bland and lacked any real seasoning or complexity. The pistachio streusel added some texture, but couldn’t rescue the dish. Thankfully, the potatoes were the highlight of the plate. My date’s game hen leaned too heavy on the greens and too light on actual meat, which left us both underwhelmed. We saved room for dessert, hoping for redemption, but the chai carrot cake missed the mark. The flavors didn’t blend well and felt oddly mismatched. Bar Purlieu has delivered incredible meals in the past, but this visit was disappointing. Gorgeous presentation can’t make up for food that falls flat. I’m hoping it was a bad night.

First time here and loved it! We had a 5:30 Friday reservation—perfect timing to beat the crowd. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and fresh, delicious food. Fun, inviting atmosphere with fun flavors that were a first for me! This was my second visit, and it was on Halloween night. The staff and clientele were spectacularly spooky. Fresh flowers adorned the dishes. The oysters were so good… my son even had two! The ribs and the dessert were fantastic!!!

This restaurant seems to have put a lot of effort into accommodating various groups of customers. While this can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, for guests who are not dining in large groups, it is entirely a drawback. The tables are too close together. While seated at a two-person table, I was constantly bumped by passing staff, which disrupted conversations. The outdoor seating was also not particularly spacious. The fresh oysters were well-prepared, and at $4.00 each, the price was reasonable given the quality of handling and the opportunity to compare two different varieties. However, the escargot dish was a major disappointment. It is a signature dish at many French restaurants, yet this was the first time I saw escargot served outside of its shell at a French establishment. Whether canned escargot was used or not, the portion size was far too small, and the bitter taste—possibly due to incomplete removal of the digestive tract—made it unpleasant. I would absolutely not recommend this menu item. The scallops were grilled well, but the risotto was completely overcooked and lacked the proper texture. Risotto should always be cooked al dente to provide a layered texture, but that wasn't the case here. While the sauce was flavorful, the price felt too high. The dish was simply labeled “sea scallop” without any special features, and considering the retail price of wild-caught scallops, the cost seemed excessive even when estimating wholesale pricing. The mussel dish lacked overall balance, and the **guanciale** was burned, which left a bitter aftertaste. Once again, I was reminded that French cuisine starts and ends with butter—without wine, the dishes felt overwhelmingly rich. It reinforced my belief that French food must be paired with wine. I also believe that a restaurant offering a **Chef’s Special** menu should not feel overly casual. There were two large tables occupied by lively groups, and their loud conversations and laughter made it difficult to even hear the dish explanations. This is not a place would visit for a special day dining for all . This was my first and last meal here. In other words, it is not a place I would recommend.
Kai D — Google review
We had high hopes for this visit, however, unfortunately it was unpleasant from start to finish. Upon arrival, it seemed they had to scramble to find and prep a table despite our reservation, as we were visiting from out of town for our anniversary. Which was totally understandable and no problem at all, except they sat us directly behind the prepping station for the plates and silverware, and it was incredibly loud and very uncomfortable as we could hardly communicate with each other over the noise. Servers were standing directly behind my head handling that station on and off the entire time, but after the initial sit down not going well we didn’t want to seem like a burden by asking to move. That wouldn’t have been so bad if the service wasn’t so rude each visit to the table. The restaurant was busy, but we were aware that our table was being seen far less frequently than those around us. We tried to get the attention of the staff in the kindest manner possible to no avail. Our server questioned our entire order, made comments that it was a lot of food for two people, and when the check arrived we noticed she added the large portion of an item we asked for the appetizer size of, but we still paid for it to avoid yet another hassle. We ordered several dishes and some of it was great. We were most excited about the steak tartare which may have been seasonal, but it was definitely the best item we were served. We enjoyed the charcuterie board, and the mushroom tart was unique but flavourful. What sealed the deal on the experience was the octopus soup(?) and the steak and fries. I’ve never seen octopus served in a soup/stew style like that, which was quite disappointing for an octopus dish, but even more so it was one of the most chaotic dishes I’ve ever been served at any restaurant. It didn’t make much culinary sense and wasn’t enjoyable at all unfortunately. That being said, the steak came out literally cold to touch. We ordered medium rare, and it arrived inedible. It took over 15 minutes for the server to look in our direction. When she finally stopped by, she offered to cook the steak on the plate longer, but that was it. There was no acknowledgement of how undercooked it was, instead she seemed annoyed. At that point we were so ready to leave we just kindly asked for the steak to be removed from the tab as it was still untouched. The bill was quite expensive even without the steak, which we expected, but the experience being so stressful was unexpected and made the price point not worth it. We didn’t try any desserts due to how uncomfortable and unpleasant our visit was. I’m hoping this experience was a one-off for this establishment as it seemed to have a lot to offer.

Loved eating outside on a warm Summer evening. I got the lamb and mock mojito while my partner got a VCR (drink) and the chicken. Bread and butter is a must!

We loved the salad Niçoise. The appetizer plate had bread that still stuck together and impossible to not pull apart in a weird manner, hot olives, and pickled honeydew, which I’ve never had before, but all very delicious. The waitress was lovely. I think this is probably a great place to dine outside, if they were to take down their outside speakers. Why do we need to hear your bad playlist outside as well? I was getting flashbacks from my 1990s college days. The inside is very noisy despite our 5:30pm reservation and no one in the restaurant, but two very loud women with cocktails next to us. It would be nicer with faint classical music in the background if you’re trying to cater to a French restaurant scene. Hootie and the blowfish circa 1993 really isn’t really understood in a ‘French’ restaurant …. But then again this is Eugene….

The Swanson 🙌🏻 Had the food multiple times. It’s always good Tuesday’s mornings are nice and slow. Highly recommend this place. Shouldn’t be a 4.3 it’s a great establishment and amazing waffles. Keep it up 💛

Got The Hey Bob and it was yummy! I wish the apples had been warm and not room temperature. But otherwise it was still good and I enjoyed my experience. It was a nice blend of sweet and savory that really worked for me.

I love everything about this place, waffles tasted great, eggs are organic, they use real maple syrup, and nitrate free bacon. I wish all restaurants go in this direction. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food. This is definitely a place to go for breakfast.
Bill W — Google review
We didn’t have the best experience at off the waffle today. We ordered two BMB waffles, a hot tea and a large orange juice. The tea tasted musty. Which is odd. The orange juice was delicious! I ordered two eggs over medium on top of the waffles. I specified, “I just want the whites cooked and the runny center” and they brought over two eggs over hard. The waffles were still good but far from spectacular for $40 bucks for two waffles. Service was slow. I waited at the register like 7 minutes before someone came out. Then we waited like 20 minutes for our drinks. I used to go here all the time, but I go less and less now. I think the owner needs to work on staffing. The folks working were very nice!!!! So it’s not their fault. But staffing was low. Plus I wanted to buy waffles to take home but the freezer was empty. Lots of room for improvement.

There really is little to no point in placing an order online for pickup at this location. I recommend not going to this location at all, for that matter. On three separate occasions I have arrived shortly before the time of the order, been told it would take 15 minutes, proceeded to wait around 3 times that, all while being told it was almost ready. Meanwhile, I am watching people with orders I have confirmed had a later pickup than mine walk out the door (including orders that were substantially larger than mine). Lying to a customer's face when they can tell you are lying is just not a great way to run a business. The real kicker was when they realized they messed up and offered me a *free orange juice*, which at that point was more insulting than anything else. That cup of juice cost the business pennies and that is the gesture when they make a mistake? Jokes on me for always leaving a good tip, I guess. They truly do not have a good system to make sure they are actually providing adequate service to their customers, at all. It seems clear to me at this point that the issue is as much the way the business is run as it was the employees themselves, as this issue has happened repeatedly and I have witnessed it happen to others while I have waited. Ultimately, I will not be returning to this location and will be advising others not to do so. Go to the location in South Eugene where you can get the same good waffles, but with actually acceptable customer service that makes you feel like they *want* your business.

If you’re anywhere near Eugene and you like waffles (or just really good breakfast), Off The Waffle should be on your must-visit list. It hits the sweet spot: creative, tasty food; friendly service; comfortable atmosphere. Five stars without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Finally a restaurant in the US that knows what an authentic liege waffle is. These are the best I e come across this far. I got a plain one to go -$4 along with the one I ordered. No complaints. I like that they have seasonal specials. The whipped cream looked house made. They pile it one pretty good if it comes with your order, otherwise you have to pay for a side of it.

Restaurant
Yardy rum bar is a Caribbean and soul-food cart in Eugene, owned by New York-trained chef Isaiah Martinez. The menu features market-driven West Indian fare, including skillet-fried chicken and turmeric flatbread with curried chickpeas known as Trinidadian doubles.
First off big shout out to Niko, Isaiah and staff 🙏🏾❤️ much love and respect. Yardy has delivered every time. The food is consistent with great taste and authentic flavor. Made with love. Great spot to chill from a long day. You know one thing that gets me every time when I receive my order is the presentation!!!! Always on point 👌🏾. Again much love and respect. When you arrive you have to order the chicken.

Family style plates and delicious food. We had the Doubles, 3pc Chicken, and Jerk Veggie plate (comes with market veg and red beans and rice). The doubles are a delight, a set of two fried flatbreads topped with curried chickpeas. Lightly spicy, fully spiced, with a refreshing herbal and sour note that brings it all together. The fried chicken, a delight--juicy, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Served with a curry and spicy pepper sauce that bring brightness and heat if you're wanting that. The jerk veggie plate was also terrific. Since it's market veg I hesitate to comment on specific veg, but we had a variety of root vegetables that were cooked to perfection. And the red beans and rice were amazing and comforting paired with the chicken. Didn't get any of the liquor but the listened to the bartender give a couple of the nearby tables some great rundowns; we did have an incredible local cider that paired amazingly with the menu we had. Despite counter/qr code ordering, we found the service excellent--we didn't have to ask for water at all, and it was lovely to chat about the menu with the staff. I hope you all enjoy this gem in your community!

I went with my cousin to the Yardy Rum Bar on Friday night at 5:00 p.m. we had the chick pea on bread appetizer. He had the jerk chicken with the thick crispy and salty fries. I had a large slab of adobo pork with pickled something on it. We had rum drinks and we finished it off with raisin rum ice cream and chocolate cake. All of the food was excellent! We sat in the patio where are we ordered online and then later paid online, so that was very efficient. Even though we entered at 5:00 p.m., their opening time, with about 20 or so other people, our food and drinks arrived in a timely manner. There were at least three episodes of wrong food being set on our table. Patio to me usually indicates an outdoor area, which it was not in this case. I'd eat there again in a heartbeat.

Yardy is a great little resteraunt in Eugene with a Caribbean themed menu. It is located in a converted house in the downtown area. The menu is relatively small and changes seasonally. We found plenty of intriguing offerings. Everything was excellent and they had vegan options as well which were delicious and creative. As far as I know they do not take reservations and can get quite busy so arrive a bit before you would like to eat. Parking is on the streets surrounding the resteraunt as well as a neighboring parking garage and there are a few spots in the lot behind the building. Overall we had an excellent dinner and the food was really tasty. Will return!

We are visiting Eugene from another state, and this was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The fried chicken sandwich with plantain substituted for bread was excellent. We also had the vegetarian jerk curry, rice and beans, and curry aloo. All were very tasty- simple but expertly seasoned with perfect textures. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

On arrival we were told the only seating was outside next to the road. The picnic table had bird dung on the table top and the benches. We asked to wait for an inside table and it turned out to be an an hour and a half wait. When we finally got seated, we ordered our food at the check-in table. Food finally came but was mediocre at best. Food was cold from sitting around and flavors were not Jamaican as advertised. The atmosphere was not great. We came to this restaurant because of reviews by New York Times and are wondering how they came up with a great rating. This may be a good hangout for college kids but did not meet our needs. We will not return.

Sweet Life Patisserie is a lively bakery in Eugene, Oregon, that has been delighting customers since 1999. They offer an extensive selection of custom-made cakes, pastries, cookies, muffins, eclairs, cheesecakes, and breads. The display case showcases an array of tempting treats including vegan options. The bakery also features elaborately decorated wedding and birthday cakes that resemble works of art.
Absolutely delicious! We were told to come here by a friend who used to frequent this patisserie in college and we were not disappointed. I got the vegan berry sweet roll and it was incredible! It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. We would come back here in a heart beat next time we are in town. The staff is so kind too!

Overall I would say it’s a pretty good place for pastry 😊…. Tiramisu was different, yummy and enjoyable. It’s not the best I’ve had but calories were worth 😉 Passion fruit ice cream was pretty good too. Curious to try the other flavors.
Johan R — Google review
I’m sorry I’m confused is this a diabetic or sugar free bakery or something?! The whoopie pie was dry and absolutely tasteless. It felt like eating saw dust. I swear there wasn’t any sugar in it at all. I actually want the owner of this place to have one themselves and tell me if they think that is edible. I had 2 bites and had to throw the rest out. Please stop selling those to customers. Then came the carrot cake, I had high hopes for thinking maybe the whoopie pie was a bad batch or was stale. Wrong. Firstly, the bottom layer of the cake is undercooked and gummy in the center and it’s also like they forgot to put sugar in any of it. The first bite of this cake was just raw cream cheese and carrot- it was like eating a diabetic dessert. My husband and the guest I served it to both said it was terrible and literally inedible. If this cake is some kind of sugar free dessert- it wasn’t labeled anywhere on the case or on their website. Honestly I’m not one to want a refund, but I want my $45 back because the cake went in the garbage after we all had a bite or two each and I really hate wasting food. If you’re going to make low sugar or sugar free desserts you should advertise that so people know what they’re getting into! I’ve had a million pieces of carrot cake in my life and this was NOT carrot cake.

What a treat on an impromptu late-night dessert run while we were in town for a conference! I haven’t been back since relocating up north, and this visit reminded me just how fond I am of this place. The London Fog and Pistachio Raspberry Rose Cakes were delectably delicious: smooth, fluffy, and awe-inspiring with every bite for our party of three. The Chai Cheesecake was on the heavier side and lacked the spice-forward flavor we were hoping for. The small hard candied fruit–filled chocolates were alright: the passion-fruit flavor was a bit better than the cardamom raspberry, though both leaned heavy on dark chocolate and light on fruit notes. Our hot and iced chai drinks were fine but unremarkable. I appreciate the flow improvement now that you can enter through the door closer to Main Street; you actually have time to see all the beautiful desserts in the case before it’s your turn to order. The renovated outdoor seating area is lovely as well. Alley parking is still available, except on Sundays since it’s the church lot. When we visited this weekend, hours were 8 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Yelp lists daily hours as 8 a.m.–10 p.m., though I didn’t ask for confirmation. Though not as late as they used to be, staying open until 10 p.m. is still fabulously awesome for a dessert spot! If you’re not local, definitely check out this place whenever you’re in proximity; it’s an Eugene classic worth the detour.

This was my wife’s favorite bakery in Eugene (when she was alive). I bought a slice of chocolate cake for my her birthday. It cost about $7.50 for a slice (over priced, but special occasion). It looked pretty but my six year old daughter didn’t want to eat it (and I agree with her). The cake was burned and dry. Very disappointing. The two petit fours I bought (cinnamon and a lemon duck) were much better but still pretty expensive for what you get. This place is overpriced and overrated. I’m not spending money here again.

What an absolute impeccable place to dine! We were visiting from the Midwest and decided to stop here her dinner, and so glad we did. The service was top-tier, drinks were amazing, food was so delicious, and the space itself felt so warm & luxe. I really enjoyed the sage & stone— such a perfectly balanced drink. We also got the focaccia (amazing), a chicken sandwich and the butter lettuce salad. Everything was so good, we didn’t have any leftovers! Overall, such a great experience here. Overall food was delicious👌, definitely a come back to try new things. The arrangement of the restaurant is perfect for a very comfy and romantic dinner. The only reason why I am giving a low rating is because servers did not really check in with you; I even had to go and ask the manager for the check. Now, not sure if this is something that often happens or maybe because of 4th of July festivities they were either overcrowded of low in staff.

Would give the food and atmosphere six stars if I could. Great food with a clear view of the river in a recently remodeled hotel. I make sure to come here every time I'm in Eugene. Service is a little inconsistent, especially when they're busy (Ducks game night can bring a crowd to the bar), but a place like this is hard to beat. Would especially recommend their breakfast/brunch and a walk by the river on a clear morning.

It got a bit loud in the dining room half way through my meal. They presented a new menu that night. Everything tasted good. I ordered a ribeye steak rare, it came out medium. I had the Ceasars salad, it was fresh and tasty, with the exception of the sardine garnish...

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at SweetWaters on the River! First off, Harrison is by far the best server I’ve ever had, at any restaurant. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, extremely attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, and he showed genuine patience as we asked questions (since it was our first time visiting and we’re not from the area). Dinner was very enjoyable from the service to the flavors that we decided to come back for brunch the next day solely because of Harrison’s service. At brunch, we were helped by Makayla, who was also fantastic, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the food? Delicious. During dinner, the Focaccia bread, Brussels sprouts, and clams were all beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. And brunch did not disappoint either I ordered the Apple Pancakes and they were phenomenal. Fluffy, just the right amount of sweetness, and beautifully presented. One of the best parts of this restaurant is the stunning view of the river. Whether you’re inside or out, the natural beauty adds a peaceful and scenic backdrop to the meal. Overall, SweetWaters combines excellent food, stellar service, and a breathtaking setting. I highly recommend it, and if you get Harrison as your server, you’re in for a top-tier dining experience!

Very fresh seafood made to order. It is a quick service restaurant so you go up to the counter to order and grab your food but it as good as the super fancy restaurants where you will spend at least twice as much. I watched them process blue fin as I ordered and sat with a large tank of live crab. It doesn't get any fresher than that. Everything I had was cooked perfectly and they provided a buffet of sauces for you to choose from.

Was super excited to try this place, having moved from Minnesota and not having had fresh fish in a long time. I was not disappointed. First of all, price points are extremely fair when compared to coastal restaurants, and even other restaurants in the area. We tried the Fisherman' Seafood stew and it was light and refreshing. Definitely on the tomatoe-ey side which is my thing, but not over powering. We then had the Drunken Clams. The broth for these, I could easily drink. Clams tasted as fresh as you're going to get. We then split the Captains Platter, which is definitely big enough for two people to share. The cod was flaky and perfect. Shrimp were so good that I may get them by itself next time. Clams were fried and probably not my thing, I definitely prefer them steamed but that's all preference. Overall, this will be my goto seafood restaurant in Eugene going forth. You just can't beat the value and freshness.

I always have great food experiences here. The owner is also actively involved, working at the restaurant, and is super nice. Although I understand the medical importance of distancing etc, I am saddened by the financial impact its having on local business owners. I had the peanut chicken and it was so delicious. Cafe 440 is a great place for lunch, it's a pretty busy place to and for a good reason. The food, wait staff, and environment is quality. The wait was not long we came for lunch around 12:30 PM. Once we say the waiter came offered us the special, and we got some drinks ordered and had a chat. Our server came back and we ordered our food. From order time to take was fast, and the server was also a bartender and was still able to manage other tables and get us refills. Mad props to this guy!! The Food! I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta, amazing but I will order it next time without the tails. The meal comes with seven large shrimp all seasoned with Cajun seasoning, this was not spicy for those wondering. I would rate the pasta top 10 best seafood dishes I've ever had. My wife she is a tried and true pulled pork girl. She always shares which I'm always greatful. My stance on PPS meals are one of two ways is it pre-sauced, or not sauced and it comes with a sauce. This case the pork was season and was lightly sauces and I like that so I can see how the actual pork is flavored. The sandwich is in my top 15 for pulled pork. The sandwich was actually pretty big for a lunch sandwich "NO COMPLAINING HERE". Served with some quality fries, the whole mad ranch was tops. We also went with the desert this time around. It was a lemon raspberry cheesecake that was perfectly balanced and was not over done with the lemon. The raspberry was also light so the combined created flavor is what made this desert something to right home about. Our total bill without tip was around $50, for two meals, two drinks (Pepsi products), and desert. If you need a good lunch take yourself to cafe 440 it's worth it. Also ranked in Eugene best macaroni, best Business restaurant.

DELICIOUS FOOD! Had the carnitas tacos, burger, and chicken and cilantro salad. Portions were generous; tacos were great; burger was huge and cooked perfectly; and the chicken on the salad was super moist and beautifully blackened. The house made ginger ale was also so bright and flavorful, and the dark chocolate mousse pie was TO DIE FOR, creamy and smooth! Service was quick and very friendly! Courtney, our waitress, was peppy and delightfully sweet. For my birthday, she even made a cute napkin ornament. High recommendation!!!!

Known for their signature pizzas like the Hammer, Olympian, 100 Yard Dash, and the Track & Field Combo, each pizza is made to order using handmade sauce, fresh produce, and scratch-made dough and recipes.
Best pizza 🍕 bbq chicken is to die for. Husband and I ate here 2 days in a row during the olympic track & field trials (Sha'Carri was there when we were!). We just visited Eugene again and ate here again both nights for dinner....again, amazing. We LOVE this pizza!! Staff is very friendly. 💓

I asked what the best pizza on the menu was, and I was NOT disappointed by the Olympian. The crust was delicious, perfectly baked. Toppings from side to side. The Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom, Black Olives and Parm was delicious. I got the small and was enough for 2 people, so plenty to take home. The service was stellar and was friendly. Has a wonderful hometown pizzeria feel when you walk in. I felt welcomed even though im from out of town. I will definitely come back.

Drove down to try the 11am-2pm lunch buffet. This is such a fantastic value at only $12 for well stocked salad bar, pizza and a soda. The staff is friendly, professional and really cares about this place. If you are hungry at lunchtime, come on down for a great experience.

This was the best pizza I've had in a while. It's so rare to find a crust that can support the weight of it's toppings. That light crunch is one of my favorite things. The service is mostly DIY. You pay, get your cups and plates, then sit down until your pizza is ready. You get it yourself. I'm not knocking it, but that's self service and thus not 5 stars. Not a big deal. There are cheaper places, so if you're budget motivated skip it. If you want a really good pizza, go here and get a size bigger than you need. You want the leftovers.

These guys all deserve a raise! I mistakenly ordered a pizza for the next day, when flying into Eugene late. They switched it up and delivered the most epically delicious pie. Thank you guys for having wonderful service and phenomenal pizza. Well done!

Every time I visit Eugene, it’s a tradition for me to stop at Track Town Pizza, and it never disappoints. This place has been a favorite of mine for years because it consistently delivers great food and a fun atmosphere. On my most recent visit, my friend and I went about 30 minutes after a Duck home game. As expected, the place was packed with fans, but we were lucky enough to find a seat without too much trouble. We ordered a large Taco Pizza along with some wings. The staff let us know it might take about 40 minutes for the food to be ready since they were so busy, which seemed reasonable. To our surprise, the wings came out in about 10 minutes and the pizza followed in around 20, much faster than we anticipated. The wings were hot, juicy, and flavorful, and the pizza was excellent. It was absolutely loaded with toppings. The ranch deserves a special mention because it was creamy and delicious, and it paired perfectly with both the wings and the pizza. The bottomless drinks were another nice touch that made the meal even better. The atmosphere in the restaurant was just as enjoyable as the food. With football games playing on the TVs, fans celebrating, and the staff working hard with positive attitudes, the whole place had a great energy. It really adds to the experience and makes Track Town Pizza feel like more than just a meal, it feels like part of the Eugene tradition, especially on game days. The only downside is the price. At just over $50 for a large pizza and wings, it is a bit on the expensive side. That said, with the generous toppings, the quality of the food, the quick service even on a busy day, and the lively game day atmosphere, it feels worth it to me. Track Town Pizza continues to be a must stop every time I come to Eugene, and I will absolutely be back again.

Staff were great and it's a pretty restaurant. Pizza I would say is comparable to pizza hut in terms of quality. Overall very good I would be interested in coming back again.

This is a "down home" joint, you can count on it! Consistently fabulous pizza; Dee Tee (below) is right. the crust is firm, crispy and tender; it can support whatever delicious topping combination you choose! The ducks who run this place know their business!

Probably the best breakfast place in Eugene. The Northern Lights is so good. I've never had better Eggs Benedict & sweet potato fries in my life. I've taken a couple people here just to see their reactions upon eating these masterpieces. Staff is wonderful too!

What a lovely spot for breakfast! My table had French toast, eggs Benedict and a table pancake. All of it was delicious! The coffee was also especially good and well brewed. Service was fast, friendly and very attentive. Special shoutout to Dominic who was a solo server while I was there and managed to keep a full house of tables happy! I don’t live in Eugene but next time I visit I’ll be back here again!

We stopped by on our way from Portland to Crater Lake and tried the Morning Star and Northern Light. It was honestly the best breakfast I’ve had in a while (even the fruit was sooo good!). The servers were all kind and welcoming, and the quiet atmosphere combined with the sunny weather made it perfect. If I come back to Eugene, I’d definitely love to visit again.

A few friends and I went for Easter weekend brunch and it was very pleasant. Cozy patio and interior, the menu is humongous and there’s so many options to choose from. I got the Chocolate pancake meal with sausage, eggs and sweet potato fries. If you’re thinking about ordering the pancakes, they are GIANT so 2 is definitely plenty. My friend got the French toast sandwiches and it looked phenomenal, definitely want to try that next. Overall great service, the only thing was we had to wait a little long to pay. Recommend!

Yum! If you're craving breakfast, this is the place to go. Great service and delicious food. This is one of the few places you can get a fruit bowl with actual fruit in it that isn't gross or a singular fruit. Fresh grapes, strawberries, pineapples, apples, and kiwi. There is a full menu of different types of eggs Benedict if you are a fan.

Great service with an extremely friendly staff. Awesome portions and coffe is never empty. Sunday can be crowded with the brunch crowd. There is outdoor seating and some of it is not undercover. Parking extremely limited in the shall parking lot, fortunately there is a lot of street parking available. Highly recommend...🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Came here on a Saturday morning with no reservation and on the way back to California on the I-5! We were quite tired and glad when we were seated in 5 minutes even though there was a quite a bit of a bustle. Food: I got the Zorro's Benedict and I liked the mix of Polenta and the eggs! We also got the full order of the French toast, which was lighter and just as sweet as we liked them. Would recommend for sure as a post-meal sort of dessert snack! I also really liked the Northern Lights Benedict as a classic meal here and it had a really subtle but distinct flavor to it! Service: The waiters came by semi-frequently to refill our waters and check in with us! Ambiance: Super casual but nice place! A great place to hide from the rain for sure. Overall, a cute place that I'd come back to! Prices are reasonable.

Incredibly fresh salad. Delicious. Flavorful. Arrived hot. Great crust. A+

First time visiting. Half my rating is service and half is the food. Service is always the first impression food is the last. Walked in and the two employees at the counter were talking to each other. Walked up to counter and they kept talking. I had questions but their conversation was more important. Quickly ordered a couple pies (and they went back to their conversation). Service was non existent. Pizza was just eh. Should have just grabed a frozen pizza went back and cooked it. There's a lot of small biz restaurants that want to win over their customers. I'd skip this one.
Jensen J — Google review
73rd pizza spot in the books. This place has a very relaxing atmosphere. It's not loud at all. Some pizza spots feel like you need to talk super loud but not here. The service is great, the pizza is brought to the table, ask for ranch it doesn't come on its own. Now the time you have been waiting for the food! We got the pepperoni with Italian sausage. Sausage is cut thin not in a crumble form. The sauce was balanced good flavor but doesn't over power with sage, time or oregano. The crust is on the thin side which is great if you want more than once pieces because the cuts are pretty big (Costco pizza slices size). Cheese is quality, the pepperoni used is quality and big NYC style which I personally love. Crust was not floppy, and the back crust bite was crunchy and had a snap. We got the garlic knots with cheese.. RECOMMEND 100% so these are delicious #1, now the biggest reason they are 8+ Chang for 12, this is pre-pandemic pricing! You could almost get these by themselves and make it a meal. My Ranking FOOD ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ COST VALUE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ATMOSPHERE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ PARKING ⭐⭐⭐

Last Saturday, we were downtown checking out the Saturday Market, so we thought we could check out Mezza Luna Pizza 🍕. Excellent pizza 🍕 and garlic knots. Nice little pizza 🍕 joint. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

My friend and I have been going to Mezza Luna close to 10 yrs. After some challenges I have been fortunate to return once again. It was a great reunion. Some staff were still there and remembered me. They welcomed Daisy, my service dog, and were eager to please. That was easy. I love the standard fare and am always amazed at their creative spins on pizza. There has never been a disappointment. This speaks to several things. Top quality ingredients, more than just guessing on what new pizza to create, and the care by which each pizza is assembled and baked. The salads have always been to large for one person to eat. That continues today. The calzones are hefty, full of tasty ingredients and a delight. I usually need a take out box for the leftovers. If I ever knew, ahead of time, my last party of my life it would be at Mezza Luna with my friends there and the dear friends of my life. And guys, please don't continue ruining a great handmade product by putting hot sauce on it. This is Italian, not Latin.

Out of town-ers that trusted Google and was SO GLAD to have ended here. Had one of every slice they had made at the counter and every single one was a winner! My pickiest eater (5yo) was a fan! Great family friendly sit down but saw many solo eaters enjoying the space, too! Highly recommend!

Delicious New York style pizza! We had planned dining in the place next door but we decided to try this since it wasn't so busy and we were not disappointed! The garlic knots were our favorite, they had the perfect amount of garlic and cheese, the marinara sauce complemented them perfectly. 10/10 ! We also got the ham and pineapple pizza which was really good too! The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Price is reasonable!

The welcome was wonderful from the staff at the takeaway counter. I came to Eugene from Washington DC for work and was craving fish and chips. They did not disappoint! The staff was 100% wonderful; I have no words to describe how great they were. I had the halibut fish and chips, and it was delicious. I walked from the Graduate Eugene hotel, a good 17-minute walk, but any tiredness disappeared after enjoying that amazing meal. Good prices for fresh sea food.

This is one of the best places in Eugene Oregon to get fresh fish hands down!!! Always the same consistency always fresh oil, the food is delicious!! I suggest the rock called basket with french fries side of shrimp and deep fried pickles it won't disappoint!!! Superfresh and crispy tender and juicy, It's attached to a cannery store where you can purchase fresh fish with lots of homemade canned goods and sides to choose from. I loved the homemade raw honey and peach jam, we drove 45 minutes just to eat here. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is always outstanding 😀 our favorite place 🩷😋

Brail's Restaurant, located in midtown Eugene with another branch off Willamette St., is a popular spot for both regulars and weekend crowds. It has gained a reputation as the go-to place for curing hangovers with its quick and friendly service and delicious breakfast options like buttery hash browns and fluffy omelets. The diner is known for its fresh and consistent food, clean environment, accommodating staff, and prompt service even during busy times.
Came here to meet with family and even though it took a while to sit down (large group), it was worth the wait! Monte cristo was fantastic, lots of meat with great crispy fries, added some syrup because of the French toast bread. 5/5. Wifey ordered the eggs Benedict, substituted to add bacon. Bread stayed fresh and crispy, the whole meal was put together very well and was delicious. Kids all got the cheeseburgers and you can see they’re big burgers, the kids loved them. Our friend got a Loco Moco, she loved it and reminded her of home in Hawaii. The waiter offered kimchi, my wife and her friend said the Kimchi was delicious (which is rare, high standards!) Highly recommend!!

I was very disappointed with my scrambled eggs. The eggs were thin and ribbon looking. I asked for well done but I still expected fluffy eggs. The hash browns had no flavor, the toast was okay though. On the plus side, and I honestly the only reason they get 3 stars, the service was quick and the servers were polite and friendly. We were seated immediately and our orders were taken quickly. The atmosphere was busy and hectic, but that's breakfast time at any breakfast place. I hope this was a one off because I like the other Brails.

Pretty awesome diner experience!!! First time in Eugene and visited here for breakfast. I ate the ch Chicken and Waffles. Can't miss the red building. Ample parking both sides of the building. Arrived a few minutes after they opened at 8am. Not many places open that early on a Sunday. There were already about 10 customers inside. Our server was 👍. He checked up on us. Portions and variety of breakfast eats are great. Heapful of sliced bananas on the pancakes. The sausage in the burrito had a pleasantly mild flavor. Hashbrowns cooked perfect. Loco Moco was on point!

Great locally owned breakfast and lunch spot. Friendly neighborhood feel in quaint Eugene, OR. Server was great, his dad has worked there 25 years. Didn't get to meet the owner, but her Korean heritage is reflected in the menu. Breakfast spot with great service and a menu that has American classics mixed with a touch of Hawaiian and Korean flair (where else can you get a fried rice stuffed omelet). Biscuits and gravy are made from scratch. Lots of seating. Great place. If we ever get back to Eugene, we will definitely go again. It's a little pricey for breakfast with tip $70 for 3 people.

Top quality Ramen, but honestly, I would come here just for the gyoza! Hands down the best gyoza I've ever had. The food was absolutely delicious! I visited at around 6 pm. on a Saturday, and the place was packed. Thankfully, they have outdoor seating as well, or I imagine the wait would have been unbearable. There was a line out the door the entire time I was there, even though they moved through orders at a rapid pace. It's easily one of my new favorite restaurants in the area.

Roaring Rapids Pizza is a spacious eatery with lodge-style decor and riverfront seating. This pizza parlor offers a carousel for kids to enjoy, as well as various games. Located alongside the Willamette River, this restaurant serves up unique and delicious pizzas like The Middlefork Madness, topped with an assortment of mouthwatering meats and spicy Jack cheese. Additionally, they provide a fresh salad bar with over two-dozen toppings and offer a selection of beers on tap.
Pizza with a gorgeous view, then arcades and putt putt golf without moving your car. This place is incredible. I went with my two toddlers and they loved the pizza, carousel, and arcade! Great core memory there for both of them!
Derrick L — Google review
When we visit, it’s mainly for the carousel ride located inside, near the back of the building. It runs for free every 15-20 minutes for the kiddos. Adults aren’t allowed to ride the animals, but can stand with their kids on the platform. There is a small arcade also with claw prize games, a pinball machine and air hockey table. The kids pizza with a drink was around $8. I’d say it’s pretty reasonable, but as an adult, I paid $17.99 for a small spinach pizza and another $8 for a “side salad”. I made sure to load my salad plate from the bar for that price. HOWEVER, the craft beer was $4.95 and a great deal in my opinion. The spinach pizza disappointed me a bit. They slapped some fresh/not baked tomatoes on top of a hot pizza and it looked pretty unappealing. I took off the cold sliced tomatoes and just ate them with some ranch from the salad bar. Not a total loss. The pizza was also overdone and had chewy crust. My kids pizza looked great. Nice and cheesy and cooked right. We love the fun environment here! There’s plenty of parking and we always have a good time.
Jenny J — Google review
Pizza is thin, bland, cheaply prepared, slow to arrive, cold, and expensive. Crust is cardboard on cornmeal with tomato sauce dried onto it. Salad bar was pawed-over and looked risky. Photos attached. Family of four and every one of us hated it. We left half a large pizza on the table refusing a box to take it home. It’s quite a feat to make pizza completely objectionable. Chunky Cheese is a step above this, and even rats won’t eat that. The arcade is a money trap. $20 vanishes faster than burning the bill. Sunday afternoon and the place was less than half full. I guess we made a big mistake.
Addy A — Google review
Great pizza! This is a good place to take kids. They have a carousel inside and a bunch of kids' games. It did take way too long to get our food, but it was worth the wait. The view from the outside is amazing as well.

The salad bar was good and the bread sticks were good. The pizza was great, the crust was a little bit crunchier than we expected - hard to cut with a fork if you like to eat pizza that way. The games room was really fun, our toddler loved the carousel. Food took a bit to come out especially when they weren't super busy but it was super hot and fresh. Overall, it was good and we would come back. :)

Great first experience! They're trying out a self check out system, which still needs some work, but will be good eventually. Talking to the team member is still an option if you don't want to put in the order yourself. Food was fantastic, and at a great price we built our own burgers a double with all veggies and a veggie burger with all veggies. Both were super. Had the house sauce, g sauce, and honey mustard. All great favorite definitely the g sauce. Nice heat on that one :) Will be back!

Good burger and great fries! I got the meathead burger this time and it didn’t disappoint. The bacon was cooked to perfection and it was super cheesy just the way I like. The atmosphere is great and they have a nice variety of drinks. The fries are unique in that they are not the same brand everyone else uses and they are always made fresh. There’s not much more I could want from a burger restaurant.

Delish burgers. We got the fun guy burger and the pepper burger and mix and matched. Both were perfectly balanced in taste and structurally appealing. Shareable fries are enough to share between three people. Prices are very reasonable.
Victoria P — Google review
A+ smash style burgers. Very well balanced, not too greasy but still juicy, perfect amount of toppings and condiments/beef/bun ratio. When I personally look for a burger I want a tiny bit of heat, some acidity, some tangyness, etc. Got the poblano burger and it had all of that. We also got the mushroom burger and it was delicious. Full bar, lots of local craft brews to choose from. Pleasing interior aesthetic. Warning: The shareable fries are huge and could feed 3-4 people. Definitely too much for the two of us. Not complaining, but just keep in mind it's a huge portion. All in all an excellent Eugene burger spot.

Years ago this place was our go to. We liked sitting at the window watching people go by. Prices are sky high. The counter top was so sticky my purse stuck to it even after cleaning it off. French fries are extra and our food was cold and so incredibly salty we kept convincing ourselves the food was fine. I finally could not stand it any longer. I walked up to the counter and a white haired girl waved me off saying there was nothing she could do for me. My husband was upset and asked for a manager she mumbled something to us and a very polite guy Lucas helped us out. I'd like to point out the white haired girl talked to the other employees and the other girl was looking at laughing at us she was blonde. They were acting very rudely. Lucas gave my hard working husband his money back and we both took gavascons as soon as we got into the car. We're done eating at Killer Burger. Rude employees salty cold food high prices..nope we will go to the Lucky Logger for our burgers. They have great prices and organic meat burgers no extra charge for French fries. Thank you Lucas though for your kindness.

Honestly one if not the best burger joints downtown! Always got amazing music playing and sometimes you can even see staff singing and dancing along. You can tell they honestly enjoy coming to work! Plus the burgers are fire! And you can tell they take their time on it! Most higher end burger joints burgers are super greasy. Also they got really good on tap beers and ciders! I’m pretty sure they have a deal where their beers are 2 dollars! I don’t know about you but I can’t think of another place with that cheap of beer. So if you are downtown and hungry hit it up!!!

Provisions Market Hall is a food lover's paradise located in the 5th Street Public Market. It offers a diverse range of culinary delights, including a flower shop, cheese and charcuterie counters, interesting wines, and an extensive selection of cookbooks. The counter-service bakery and restaurant at the back provide an array of delectable treats such as vanilla eclairs, breakfast sandwiches, grab-and-go sandwiches, and salads for impromptu picnics.
Wonderful spot for breakfast and lunch, fresh baked bread and pastries. This is much higher quality than most fast casual spots, so expect to wait a tad longer but it’s worth it! The staff is also friendly and patient, I tip them every time as one should. It can get a little busy around the holidays, and I’m always impressed by how professional the staff is around rude customers. They also have a beautiful gift section that is merchandised according to season. You may also bring dogs into the courtyard area, it’s lovely especially during the warmer months.

We’ve gone here 20 years. Noticed a huge difference in customer service and quality. We came every Saturday and had coffee, walk and talk. The people who work there today, could care less. Most don’t even acknowledge you. It’s getting really really dirty outside at tables and cement. It was never like this. So we go elsewhere! Hannah never let this happen. She’s been gone along time. Hopefully they get it. It’s the help. It was the most peaceful place. Not meant to hurt anyone, just saying. Bring it back up to the quality we’ve enjoyed. Thank you 🙏

A great place to shop many things and the cafe here is also pretty decent. In terms of the cafe, they have quite a few of items, and they do taste good! Besides the cafe, they also sell some kitchen items, some named brands like Le Creuset, Made In, Staub, etc. Worth to mention though, they sell some great kitchen knives here, but they definitely don't carry as many knives as the other knife shops I've been to. It is also a great place to shop for holiday dining stuff! If this is the first time you've been in Eugene or even the residents here, this marketplace is always worthwhile to visit!

THESE GUYS DO KNOW HOW TO MAKE A SANDWICH. You can taste the difference in their organic ingredients! We ordered the Tuna Melt and the Fox Hollow, and both were equally delicious, with well-balanced flavors that made every bite worth it!

Ok I’m sorry but I have to leave a review after multiple bad experiences here. The coffee and food are good, although overpriced, but the customer service is so bad. I have gotten wrong orders several times and twice had them just never make my order. My latest experience was they called out my name and handed me a coffee. After I’d left I realized it was not what I ordered. When I went back and told the person at the register she said, “you took someone else’s order.” Like ok normally I could totally see myself making a mistake like that but this girl called out my name and order and handed it to me so….? Also they warmed up my croissant but left it in the toaster oven for so long that by the time they finally got it to me it wasn’t very warm any more.

I've never been disappointed from anything I got from here. Their coffee is fantastic, baked goods range from great to "how is this possible?" Pizza is delicious. Bread and scones 😋 also, their pints of lochmead ice cream are wonderfully priced

If you find yourself searching for a breakfast spot that hits all the right notes, look no further than Provisions Market Hall. From the moment we placed our orders at the counter, the experience was seamless and satisfying. The freshness of the food was apparent with each bite. I indulged in a Croque Madame and Avocado Toast, both of which were a delightful fusion of classic taste and culinary craftsmanship. Not to be overlooked, their baked goods are a sheer delight – each item more delectable than the last. It’s evident that Provisions Market Hall prides itself on the quality and taste of their offerings. With food brought right to your table and flavors that impress, this place is a gem waiting to be discovered. I encourage anyone to stop by. Chances are, you’ll leave as pleasantly surprised and content as I did.

Ordered dinner today. Husband got handed barely warm food. His pizza was missing his added topping and mine barely had anything on it. And apparently the place is infested with flies, they had employee zapping flies with swatter. What happened to that place?

New American restaurant

Restaurant
The Davis Restaurant & Bar is a casual American eatery and cocktail bar that transforms into a lively dance club on weekend nights. Situated at the corner of West Broadway and Olive Street, it offers a blend of modern American and Latin cuisine in an upscale yet intimate setting with dark wood paneling and red accents. The spacious dining area becomes a dance floor on weekends, featuring music from resident DJ Sip who plays R&B, soul, reggaeton, and other popular tracks.
I have been meaning to write a review for The Davis for quite a while, and thought I should now. I have had dinner here many many times over the years and I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal or experience. I think it is one of the most underrated restaurants in Eugene. I love to go out to eat and The Davis is consistently delicious and a great atmosphere for partners, friends, or whoever else you love to eat with. When they have their raw oysters they are my favorite in town, and I think their Salmon is cooked better than any place locally that I’ve had it, and it’s extremely reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. The drinks on the cocktail menu are creative and delicious, and they have good wine with multiple varieties available by the glass. The service is always wonderful, and I’ve never noticed a wait for food/drinks even when it is busy for dinner. I have many pictures of my food from over the years but attached are some recents!

Made the reservation online via Google and asked for a more secluded booth and was not disappointed. Very cozy booth by the bar. We were there for our anniversary dinner. The host/bartender who's name I forgot but wore an excellent turnip shirt was so nice and very quick to our every need. I had the elderberry elixir cocktail and highly recommend if you like ginger! We ordered the focaccia and deviled eggs for appetizers both of which were lovely. For entrees we ordered the kebab and the pork tenderloin. I was not a fan of the mustard brine and my spouse was kind enough to switch and said it was very good with the pears and had a good acidity. The kebab itself is very heavy but the hummus, relish and curried naan are delicious! Will definitely be back for appetizers and cocktails. I'll pass on the main dishes for now.

Decided to try out Davis Restaurant & Bar for a date night out in Eugene. Overall a good experience and the presentation of the food was gorgeous. Service was a little slow but not too painful. The steak was cooked to perfection and pared extremely well with the greens and potatoes. Typically it comes with sauce but the restaurant was accommodating and will to leave it off (a personal preference). The salmon too was cooked to perfection and all elements of the plate had bold flavors. Personally when all together the boldness clashes but individually it was delicious. For desert was the hazelnut tart. It looked so good I forgot to take a picture before the first bite. Definitely one of the best desserts I have had in a while.

My first time visiting this Eugene institution. My friend Mari brought me here as a welcome dinner since I am visiting from abroad. Food is really on point and it’s immediately recognizable that the ingredients come from local producers and are high quality. I’m a certified sommelier and was really impressed by their champagne selection. As we were celebrating all the great things life brings us, and catching up with old friends and new, we got a 2017 vintage Thierry Triolet and it packed all the brioche notes, tang and elegance of a Blanc de Blanc. We began with the chef’s board- cheese and meats garnished with pickled veggies, nuts and preserves. I learn that all the meats are cured and prepared in house. I like that one of the meats was served warm- super tender pork that had melt in your mouth fat 🤤 Shrimp and Grits, the salmon, and the tuna crudo with strawberry made more a seafood feast that I need not critique- all well dialed in. Perhaps I would like a little more acidity in the crudo, but I think my mind is just imagining it were ceviche. We had crème brûlée and coffee to finish. Service was great and the place really feel homey and welcoming. Met the owner who is a class act! Will be back before I leave Eugene. Say hi: @mackenzieputici

The atmosphere is cute, and the staff is very attentive and nice. I ordered the Davis Mac. The noodles were over cooked, they gave me chicken was grisly. They gave me shrimp instead, but that wasn’t as good as I hoped also. They made up for it, but I would not go back.

The Davis pours from an outstanding champagne list with multiple offerings from each of the five sub regions of champagne -- the best offerings I've seen in a restaurant. Used Resy to request the 2012 Vintage RH Coutier Champagne "Millésime" be chilled in advance of our reservation. Breathing for the first time in 12 years -- proved to be a most exceptional champagne. Last bottle of the evening was the Thierry Triolet Rosé Brut, requested so we could share with other guests; utterly refreshing perfection for $55/bottle. Foragers in our party ordered the Porcini Mushroom Ravioli with Spring Vegetables, Domestic & Foraged Mushrooms, Green Garlic, Sunflower Seed Nettle Pesto which surprised us with a very tasty morel sauce topped with delicious roasted piñons. Then there was the Chef's Board: with cheesy grits, brie cheese, house cured bacon, jalapeño cheddar sausages, with fresh berries and watermelon. Jicama Citrus salad. Experience was so good came back to try another, "The V6 experience" from Andre Clouet, also from the Montage de Reim area. Six years on the second lees, presented as golden yellow ambrosia with powerful structure with bea honey lingering in the mouth after wards. Rated 93/100 by Parker for good reason. Dishes: the Shrimp and Grits -- Blackened Shrimp, Abenaki Corn Grits, Cheddar, Charred Green Chili Butter -- came out quickly and was inhaled with equal speed by the southerner at the table who declared it was very, very good. A double "very" is high praise. In the end, decided to take some bottles home with us because there were more we wanted to try and knew it would be a little while before we could come back. Took home champagne from each of the five sub regions because there was a multi bottle discount. Worth asking about. Service was attentive. Ambiance lovely.

After a very difficult day my husband and I decided to plan a special date night. I chose here because I wanted a steak so I made a reservation on Google for Friday night at 6:30pm. When we arrived there was no wait and plenty of tables open so I requested a booth for comfortability (I have chronic pain) and the gentleman seemed hesitant to give it to us. When my husband sat down it was sticky so I asked the server if he had a rag to wipe it and he happily did so. Unfortunately he didn’t bother to check on us once but checked on the couple at the table right next to us a few times which felt like he did so on purpose. I asked my husband if he noticed that or if it was just me, and he agreed it seemed intentional. Thankfully a kind lady checked on us once we got our food. Our food took almost 40 minutes (the Mac for my husband and the steak for me) and when it finally arrived it was delicious but not jaw dropping. however, my husband didn’t mention that this is the first steak he’s seen that was actually done medium well. I thought my dish would have paired better with green beans but the green salad thing was adequate and I like trying new things. My husband said the dish tasted mostly like BBQ sauce which he doesn’t love and that he didn’t really enjoy the beer, a hazy something; the options were pretty limited for beer. When we were almost done with our food and my husband went to the bathroom, the same lady gave us a dessert menu. I asked if there was any dairy free dessert from the 3 options and she mentioned one of them was coconut milk based. I was expecting the check as well but that took almost 10 minutes to receive. The servers were just standing there, and still, there was no line. There was a gentleman who walked in and I think went to the bar but quickly left the building who seemed very disgruntled and muttering words I couldn’t hear. This added to the odd atmosphere. maybe they took too long to get him his food too. I really wanted dessert but I did not want to wait probably another 30 minutes for it so we decided to wrap up. Due to my chronic pain I have to stand after sitting for a while and stretch so I began to do so. I was hoping that would cue the gentleman to bring us our check but it did not. He seemed to be ignoring us. My husband had to wave down the lady and ask for a box and the check. We were there for a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes with little to no service and spent about $80. I’m really disappointed with the service at the Davis and wish I had chosen a different place. Still debating between two and three stars. I hope this was just an off day for them like it was for me.

The friendly staff ensures a pleasant experience for visitors, making it a great choice for those seeking delicious food and excellent service.
A fantastic brunch spot. There is sometimes a little bit of a weight, but if you’re in a smaller party with two or less, you can normally get seated pretty quickly at the bar. The staff were very friendly and had multiple check up on me. Their suggestions were great also especially with the different syrups for the coffees. Food came quick and tasted great not much more you could ask for. Pro tip, pay with debit card to avoid the 3%+ fee

The food and drinks were excellent! The service was a little different. It was lacking organization, but they all seemed positive and courteous. It was busy. I loved my biscuits and gravy, and the bloody maria was great. Overall, I would definitely come back!

Pros: -chicken and waffles were excellent -the amaretto mimosa was oddly tasty, but I’m a sucker for a amaretto anything -the decor was lovely -there was no wait to be seated -great ambiance Cons - our service was terribly, terribly slow. But our waitress was nice, so we didn’t mind. Just be careful if you have a need for speed. Would def. come back!

Jazzy Ladies is my favorite spot in town! It’s truly my happy place, especially since I can’t eat gluten. The entire restaurant is completely gluten free, and they make delicious versions of dishes I haven’t been able to enjoy in years. I’ve brought plenty of picky eaters here without mentioning that everything is gluten free, and they absolutely love the food. Their bakery is incredible — they make the moistest gluten-free baked goods I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and even when it’s packed, the service is consistently amazing. The passion shows in every dish, and the staff are warm and friendly. They also host live music and tasting events that they promote on Facebook, which makes the experience even more special. It means so much to have a place like this in our community. I honestly wish I could eat here every day.

The jazz music was a little loud, but the food was so delicious it more than made up for it. The entire menu is gluten free, yet you would never know it. For anyone who has had disappointing gluten free experiences, you won’t be let down here. We were a party of eight, and while the service was a bit slower than I’d prefer, it wasn’t enough to keep us from coming back. In fact, we’re already planning our next visit.

I love the atmosphere and the new location is much bigger. The food looked colorful and was very delicious. I was served the wrong coffee but the server quickly replaced it. My only complaint was that the prices were too high. And that's why I give them 4 stars. The coffee of the month was Raspberry Mocha, which was 5.50 plus $1 for raspberry and $1 some other add on. $5 for a scone, ok. But the "special" banana bread was $8. It was heavy and as dense as a whole loaf. I might return to try a waffle, but not until payday.

My favorite restaurant in Oregon. Food is excellent, price is unbeaten. If you like Vietnamese food, this is the stop!!

Being from Vietnam ourselves, we just want to provide some constructive feedback here. The Spicy Beef soup didn’t have the authentic flavor at all unfortunately. The Pork Sandwich was also not made hot, which defeated the purpose of the hot Banh My concept in Vietnam. We hope to be able to give higher ratings once the dishes show improvement.

If I was to review this place a year ago or more, I would’ve given it five stars. Always good food. I love the PHO and the flavors are excellent. Unfortunately, the last time I went I was very disappointed in my soup. They gave me what amounted to about a tablespoon of vegetables and I had to ask for three more plates. I think they need to rethink this. Anyway, I’ll go back here and I hope it gets better, but I wish it was as good as it used to be.

Fabulous Pho! The flavor of the broth was really great n point and it had a very generous amount of beef. I appreciated that they offered two sizes because the small was plenty for a meal. The sandwiches looked delicious. I’d post a pic but my bowl is empty. I’ll be back for sure.

Wonderful food. Unlike most places, they dont charge extra for vegetarian options. Alot of restaurants I've visited add the extra tofu as a charge to the base price, let's say a chicken curry. These guys have 2 prices. Unheard of!! Sandwiches are phenomenal, the dining area could use some decor but thats okay

The food is amazing! I always get the Pho Ga. The chicken is moist and falls apart. I prefer to take-out over dine in here. The interior lacks the atmosphere you’d expect for the quality of the menu, feeling more like a strip-mall café than a full-service restaurant.

I love you spice n steam! My parents and I always used to make a point to stop here when we were in town. Now that I live here, I love getting it. I tried the wonton soup for the first time and it was amazing. Particularly the bbq flavored pork and wontons. Everything was so flavorful!

The food was really good but our experience was tainted by a forced tip. We ordered a large amount of food (at higher than normal prices for dim sum). We are a family of 5. We have three small children 9, 7 and 3. They considered this a LARGE group and added a tip to the bill. We always tip well and I understand adding a gratuity to parties of 8 or more, but 5 people!? I didn’t see anywhere that an 18% tip will be added to your bill for parties of 5 or more. We aren’t a needy family. We didn’t ask the waitress for anything extra after she served our food except an extra couple of napkins. We splurged for a birthday dinner today. The food is really good but it’s a place that a family with three kids can only go so often. Inflation is here and I understand it completely. Attached for your information is what our bill looked like- Each Sesame Ball is $3 each, etc.

The food, rooted in Cantonese cuisine, was clean and refined in flavor. It felt genuinely authentic. We ordered some dim sum, Peking duck, and soup, all of which were absolutely delicious. Our server, Sunny, provided excellent service, making the entire meal thoroughly enjoyable. I’m planning to revisit soon to try other dishes, and this place has officially made it onto my personal list of highly recommended restaurants—anytime, for anyone. The mango pudding for dessert was also outstanding.

Had dinner and truly enjoyed our meal. Although the dining area was a bit dark, need more lighting please. It did not take a way the food experience and the items we ordered were spot on. Crispy spicy chicken was 🔥, the mushroom soup was tasty and their fried rice was as expected. Parking was available within the restaurant lot.

Great food. Fast service. HUGE portions. We had chicken fried rice and walnut shrimp and it was enough for both of us. We will be back if we're ever in the area.

Food was great. Servers were fantastic. They have a policy if there are 5 people at the table you automatically pay a specific tip ( I think it was 18%). They include toddlers and babies in high chairs in their 5 count. They don't label it as a tip, but give it another name, so if you have poor eyesight you might miss this and give an additional tip. It's the only odd thing otherwise a great place for authentic Chinese food. Would definitely go back.

Everything was amazing! The food was out within 5 minutes of ordering. I had the sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fired rice. The portions were large enough for 3 people to share! I will dine at this place every time I am in West Eugene, Oregon!

The place is clean and it looks nice, the fungus salad and the OG pork dumplings were good, but the “fried rice” was basic, and not fried, not a browned spot on any of the rice, didn’t taste any sesame oil, And definitely priced too high for what they’re serving. Had four dumplings, fungus salad, fried rice, and iced tea, with one refill $49 I’ve never had a place charge me for a refill on an iced tea, needless to say I probably won’t be back.

Black Wolf Supper Club is a vibrant and diverse restaurant located in Eugene, Oregon. Formerly known as Belly Taqueria, this street-level eatery has become a popular spot for those seeking Southern cuisine and creative cocktails. Despite a change in ownership, the kitchen continues to be led by local chef Mikey Lawrence, ensuring that the restaurant maintains its status as an essential dining destination in Eugene. The menu features classic Southern comfort food such as fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and homemade biscuits.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, the experience was fantastic. The food was absolutely great, the meat cuts were perfect and served as if an artist was creating a masterpiece. The best part was the mix of flavors, which were exceptional and made every dish worth the money. Plus, the food was served really fast, adding to the overall positive experience. A special shoutout goes to Raquel, who greeted me upon arrival. Although she wasn't my waiter, she took the time to recommend different plates and explain each one in detail. She asked all the right questions to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. Raquel is a truly exceptional employee and made my dining experience even more enjoyable. Raquel also recommended a new pineapple drink that was really good, definitely a refreshing choice that complemented the meal perfectly. Additionally, you have the option to dine inside or outside, which is a great touch. This place is Highly recommended!

I've been here two times, in December and then recently in January. Both on Saturday nights. While my first experience was very good (food was great, I had the Smoked Alabama, service was nice and prompt), the second time visiting was lacking. (Food was hit or miss, the ribs aren't worth it aside from the sauce they had the beans in, and it took a long time to get our food or even be checked in on.) Some other good items were the beignets, the shrimp and grits, and the drinks. I want to recommend this place, because my first experience was good. But for the prices and smaller portions, they need to be more consistent in food quality and service for me to do that.

Interesting vibes here. Not sure exactly what they are but they're Interesting none the less. The bar has a good selection of high end and obscure spirits but expect to open yp your pocketbook if you want to try some. Air conditioning was not super cold which isn't ideal. The crab appetizer was very tasty. The dinner items were hit and miss. The jumbo Gumbo was delicious and probably the best dinner item we tried. The ribs were definitely different not sure if I would get them again. Same with the corn bread. Shrimp and grits was good not great. The shaved roots salad was super earthy tasting if you're into that sort of thing. Overall it was pretty good but not great.

My review may be based on our expectations of what black wolf supper club used to be vs now. We were excited to return after a couple years of not visiting. Upon receiving the food ordered It was clear that there was a new chef or new way of food there. It was good food, beautiful presentation- but we really missed what the food used to be with previous ownership. The cocktails were delicious but I could hardly understand what was in any of them reading the menu (maybe because I’m not familiar with all the fancy alcohols). In any case, service was amazing and atmosphere was great as always. Lovely and fun food presentation.

Was definitely worth the wait. Found out about this place while looking for chicken and waffles. But they didn’t open for another 40 minutes. Their chicken is amazing on its own and the waffle is a cornmeal waffle with jalapeño in it. Absolutely delicious. Stellar cocktails as well. Great service and lots of sweet skate gear up on the walls as well as some cool art.

Quirky southern style food with a good atmosphere and chill vibe. We came on a Saturday and made the mistake of not having a reservation so we waiting an hour for a table but were able to walk to a nearby venue for a drink while we waited. We got two cocktails — one being the frozen hurricane which took my back to my New Orleans days! The fried chicken sandwich had a great flavor and was big enough for leftovers. The Nashville chicken, as warned, was hot hot but also had wonderful flavor too. I’d definitely come back for cocktails and dinner but make a reservation in the future!

Desserts were so delicious, ans their Rose cocktail too. We came for dessert, had some tasty coffee and a Strawberry shortcake, beignets and key lime pie. Nice little spot for after dinner outing. I've has their food too, so good. I distinctly remember having an amazing chicken sammich. They forgot the cornbread but I didn't want it by the time we asked for the check. Took a whole to get ordered and they weren't busy at all, but maybe there were some things going on that we were unaware of,

Gloria and Okon are the nicest people to chat with and they have the best coffee ever! We love their Mochas made with a chocolate ganache they make themselves- Yum!! This is a beautiful and peaceful space to sit and sip on the weekends.

Enjoyed the unique facility, location and service. Espresso was rather sour, indicating the brew temperature was too cold for the particular coffee. Perhaps it was cold weather today, but if not the barista needs to increase the temperature at which the espresso is made

Delicious Coffee joint with a very cute garden in the back. I enjoyed the quality craftsmanship that went into my caffeine craving cure. The staff was friendly and warm. I loved the use of floral accents throughout the establishment. They had a beautiful flowering jasmine vine in the garden out back by the stage that smelled outstanding and complimented the taste of my coffee with the smell of beautiful blooms. I will definitely be going back again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Equiano Coffee: A Whitaker Treasure ☕️ Equiano is one of those rare spots that just feels right the moment you walk up. Tucked in the heart of the Whitaker District, it’s more than a coffee stop — it’s a daily ritual for locals who know good people and great coffee when they find it. The crew here is incredible. They always bring good energy, remember your name, and make every visit feel personal. It’s the kind of genuine hospitality that keeps you coming back, cup after cup. And the coffee? Next level. You can taste the craftsmanship in every roast — rich, balanced, and full of character. Hands down the best roaster in town. Every sip reminds you that passion and precision live here. Equiano isn’t just serving coffee — they’re building community, one cup at a time.

I don't give a 5 star coffee review easily, but this spot is an absolute gem! We just cruised into Eugene and this was our first stop off I5. Their shared patio area really transported us into one of our favorite cafes in Mexico. Also, my wife and I got black Americanos and this was the last day of their featured Ethiopian espresso. When there's no steamed milk, cream, or sugar, it all comes down to the quality of the bean and barista. Great service, and the drinks were ready super efficiently. Will be back to try that cold brew!

Great coffee, great feel, live-edge wood tables and bar, a record on the turntable. I ordered the cupping flight and the owner (Okon) walked me through the process and the nuances of the very different coffees. It was so cool!

Sichuan restaurant
Wheat Bay, also known as Uniquely Chengdu, is a no-frills and authentic Chinese restaurant located near the campus. The menu offers affordably priced and consistently spicy dishes such as popcorn chicken, barbecue pork buns, BBQ pork noodles, spicy hot pot noodles, and sauerkraut beef broths. The restaurant is popular among students for its budget-friendly options.
No frills and very authentic Chinese food. It definitely is spicy so if you’re not good with spice, make sure to avoid anything on the menu with the peppers and even then, ask for it to be made less spicy. You’ve been warned ;) We got the garlic broccoli (O12), the sesame chicken with noodles (E4), and the griddle cooked boneless chicken (L4). We planned to share everything but the L4 dish had beef (we think) tongue, quail eggs, and all sorts of other pieces of things, we weren’t sure. Luckily my boyfriend is adventurous and loved it. I enjoyed the sesame chicken which was straightforward. The broccoli was good too but I think the sauce/oil had some corn starch in it and made it have a bit of a somewhat slimy texture at the end of the me. But truly the food was so delicious—I’m just pointing these things out because I feel it wouldn’t be fair to leave out those details. I would definitely come back here and recommend this place for lunch/dinner in Eugene.

Really great service! The lady was super nice and helped us with our Hotpot. The Hotpot was super delicious and we were provided with a lot of different options. I don’t live locally but if I did I would come back frequently.

Everything was amazing from the friendly and kind lady who served us to the delicious food. We ordered three dishes, and every single one was flavorful and well-prepared. I especially enjoyed the Griddle cooked pork ribs, so tasty and perfectly seasoned. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes, especially the hotpot! 😋

Fun and quick Sichuan place next to University campus. Prices are good and food came out fast. I recommend the Kung Pao chicken, it has the Sichuan peppercorns and the tingly spicy bite! The orange chicken is a good option if you’re craving comfort food in the form of fried chicken.
Ryan E — Google review
Szechuan style cuisine you must like your food spicy! Fish was great, but the fried rice was hard to chew….
Wanda W — Google review
Wonderful addition to the Eugene dining scene, especially close to U of O. They specialize in Szechuan cuisine, although they will still make you Americanized Chinese food if you want. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and it was balanced in its use of spice and herbs. Big chunks of rib roast cuts of beef. Host was super friendly. Atmosphere was a bit lacking and the restaurant was a bit warm; otherwise, a place I would come to again and again!
Han O — Google review
Kung pow chicken over rice was good Sweet and sour chicken vegetables were drowned in sauce Proportions felt kinda small for the price but hey maybe that’s just the economy.
Cebastian L — Google review
Went to this Chinese restaurant recently. Overall, it was good but pretty average. The food was decent and came out hot, but nothing really stood out flavor-wise. Service was fine, and the place was clean. It's a solid spot if you're craving Chinese food and want something quick and reliable, just don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Valley River Inn offers modern accommodations with a riverside restaurant, seasonal outdoor pool, and hot tub. SweetWaters at the inn serves a Thanksgiving buffet featuring a variety of dishes including classic favorites and unique options like rocky road sweet potatoes with gingersnaps. While some guests found the hotel to be dated, they appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and enjoyed staying by the water. The staff was described as accommodating and friendly.
We loved her stay here! They have bikes that they let you use for free and we rode around the river for sunset. It was beautiful. I hadn’t been on a bike in years. It is definitely a fun experience. They have a good amount of snacks and late night foods and drinks that are available 24 seven the coffee from the machine was not it. Close to some shops and other restaurants as well would definitely recommend and stay again.
K B — Google review
Valley River Inn was an excellent choice in a city with what appears to be few reputable choices. I was a little skeptical when we first arrive, given it the hotel shares a parking lot with a Macy's, but was soon blow away by ultra clean rooms, spacious bathrooms, quiet and safe balconies, the best, more softest beds and the some of the best pillows I have ever slept on. Meanwhile, the pool was a great size for us and our little one and the restaurant, Sweet Waters, was actually really, really good. We ate there like three times over our 3-day stay. The ONLY reason I cannot give this place a full five stars is because of a couple of things that went awry that I just found to be really careless. First, when we checked in there was a tub of ice cream spilled out and re-frozen in our fridge. That seems a bit off, given the rest of the room was spotless. Second, when we returned after a full day (left at 8am, returned around 5pm), our room was not clean. I have never stayed in a place where I was gone that long and my room wasn't cleaned. This was particularly irritating to us because we had been out all day and we have a toddler, so our room not being clean meant we had to go out AGAIN to get the trash dumped, fresh towels and our beds made. It was a bit ridiculous to not have an active guest's room cleaned by 5pm. The staff was courteous and remedied the situation relatively quickly, but it should have been cleaned when we arrived back. Otherwise, this was an excellent stay and I highly recommend Valley River Inn!

The recent renovations make the river view rooms special experiences. I mentioned that Elvis stayed here during his final concert performance in 1977 when there was a picture in the Register-Guard of some fans giving him a cake at his door to the people at the front desk and they indicated there was some of his memorabilia in one of the suites. Apparently he called the front desk one night after the kitchen closed and asked for chicken soup. They went to the market and bought a can of Campbell’s soup and served it to him. He later commented it was the best soup he ever had. What do you expect from a guy that eats peanut butter and fried banana sandwiches?

I had a wonderful stay at Valley River Inn and will definitely be booking here again next time I’m in town! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly, attentive, and made check-in a breeze. The hotel itself has a comforting aesthetic with a perfect balance of modern chic vibes and cozy charm. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful! Most rooms have balconies, the perfect place to relax with morning coffee or tea. You really get the sense that the space is cared for and designed to offer a retreat-like atmosphere. I also loved the convenience of the on-site dining, which had tasty and well curated menus that save you from having to venture far if you’re looking for a great meal. Free parking was a huge plus too, especially in such a central location. And speaking of location, the hotel is right across the street from the mall, which made shopping and grabbing extras super convenient. Overall, the entire experience felt seamless, stylish, and relaxing. Highly recommend Valley River Inn for anyone visiting the area you won’t be disappointed!

I have stayed here for two conferences. I always enjoy the hotel. It seems they recently redid their fitness area as well which was nice considering the first time I came, rust had won the battle with all of the equipment. Convenient to the mall, restaurants, and the highways as well. I am always impressed by the cocktails and service at the restaurant as well.
Jason B — Google review
The room with a river view is nice for $250 a night. But they need to spray the building for spiders and clean the windows for an actual good view of the River. I took care of the one inside our living room. The outside bedroom window has dirt nests 🪹 of disgusting Spiders 🕷️. Such a shame because the restaurant is pretty decent. Seems like a great location.

This was easy to find and easy to get to the Eugene Airport. We were able to leave our car there (for a lower fee than long term at the airport) and get a great room rate! Wonderful food with a beautiful relaxing view of the river. Great staff and attentive service!

While the hotel is in a strange location (pushed up against the river at the far end of a shopping/mall), I was pleased at how quiet it was. The room was spacious and quiet with a beautiful view of the Willamette river. The on site restaurant has excellent food and friendly staff.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience in Eugene, Oregon, make sure to check out the Oregon Electric Station. Housed in a former train station dating back to 1912, this restaurant complex offers an upscale atmosphere with three lounges to choose from. The establishment serves American fare and features live jazz performances. Visitors have praised the delicious food and excellent service, noting that the themed train setting adds a fun touch without compromising on sophistication.
Excellent food! Service was good overall but our server must have been at the end of a long day. Out of all that attended to us he was the least friendly/engaging. The seasonal berry crisp dessert was incredible! The navy bean soup was delicious, as was the tomato infused olive oil that paired with the bread. Eating in the train car was a nice touch, too!

What a fun and unique dining experience. Dining is in refurbished train cars. The service and food are stellar. The wine list has a wide array of Willamette Valley wines (and those from around the world too). The shrimp and grits was tasty and expertly prepared. I had the chocolate peanut bar for dessert and it was the perfect bite.

Wow, what a great experience. The ambiance is unique against the railroad train motif. The food was amazing and presented perfectly. The service was highly professional and friendly. They didn’t miss a beat. If you’re in Eugene, this place is a must!

Very large restaurant apparently seating 340 guests in a wonderful historic setting with good service but here's what we didn't like: 1. We were sat in between two carriages in a pleasant location but no windows and it was a little on the chilly side. Would have preferred it a little warmer. 2. Complimentary bread is dished up as a starter with special and yummy oil to dip it in. But the bread is cold and we were told it's impossible for them to make it warm because they cater for too many seats which would cause the bread to dry out. However we've been in other larger restaurants where they do this. 3. Our USD travel credit card was rejected apparently because they cannot process chip cards! They have a fancy POS system which is stone age technology? Mentioned this to the staff and they said made a strange comment, "Yes, we could become more like Red Robin”?! So we had to pay with our regular CAD credit card at extra expense for us because of the international transaction. Food was okay to good. Cocktail was exceptional. Not sure I would go again after the first experience. I'd go there just for a cocktail.
Simon H — Google review
Want to emphasize first and foremost that the service and ambience are top notch here. Loved having dinner in front of the fireplace in the lounge area. The server/bartender was gracious and helpful. As far as the food goes, it was a colossal disappointment for the price. The lamb shank was delicious and the meet fell right off the bone. But it seemed a little overdone. The bone-in ribeye wasn't even a ribeye!!! It was a sirloin steak. It was cooked to my specification (rare), but it was tough, no marble and tasted like a sirloin. If it tastes like a sirloin, and looks like a sirloin...maybe they ran out of ribeye and figured we wouldn't know the difference? I figure if you're going to cough up $100 on a meal, the food should be on point with everything else.
Jason B — Google review
Delicious! Went to a work meeting/presentation so I'm not sure how that menu differs from the full menu but what was offered was excellent. Only giving 4 stars because I didn't experience the full restaurant itself but this is not necessarily a reflection of the the establishment. My only complaint is the bathroom needed a little attention, but things happen, so this is not entirely their fault. Otherwise, the food was wonderful. The salad to start was tasty, the salmon was perfectly done - not overdone at all, and the dessert was lovely. Also the meeting space was great! Hope to come again soon and get the full experience!
Elena S — Google review
I don't usually like Themed Restaurants... However, this one has a elements of sophistication that actually make the train theme seem fun. It is professionally staged, almost like a high end hotel and the employees have always been very attentive and kind.

This could not have been a better spot for lunch! We had a party of 6 and were seated immediately; the service was excellent! Cafe Yumm! is a popular regional chain known for its Asian-inspired rice bowls, wraps, and salads. The star of the menu is the infamous 'Yumm Sauce,' made with nutritional yeast, which has garnered a cult following. With multiple locations in Oregon, including Eugene, this vegetarian-friendly restaurant offers customizable options to accommodate various dietary preferences such as dairy-free, gluten-free, and no sugar. The Yumm bowls are highly customizable and can be tailored to individual tastes.
One of my favorite places to get lunch, their dishes are consistent, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and nice. Service is quick, and the dining area is kept clean. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is my favorite meal, but I like to get the Yumm sauce on the side because at times they can add a little too much to the servings. Great place.

Okay, Cafe Yumm is seriously my comfort food go-to. I’m obsessed with the Yumm! Bow. It hits different every time. It’s literally just brown rice, beans, and the iconic Yumm! Sauce but that sauce is the main character. The vibes here are super chill, the food is fresh, and it’s the perfect healthy-ish meal. Slice Pizzeria & Bar is a delightful transformation from a food truck to a full-fledged restaurant, offering an authentic taste of New York-style thin crust pizza in Eugene. With two locations, this pizzeria stands out for its fresh, made-from-scratch pizzas that come in two sizes—perfect for sharing or indulging solo. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to gather with friends or family while enjoying live music.
Not a bad pizza spot. Good part of Whitaker neighborhood with lots of happenings. Place has a good ambience to it and a nice bar. Really liked the margharita pizza while the wife enjoyed a basic pepperoni.
Aaron K — Google review
Slice is just another pizza spot in Eugene. Nothing too special, but it is better than most. They have two locations, this one and downtown. I will say that I've gotten better pizza at this location than downtown. The pizza style is a thin crust, and they offer two sizes. If you're ordering take-out for two, the smaller size doesn't seem like enough, while the larger size seems like too much. They have specialty pizza's that you can order or "build your own". Slices are also available. Ingredients are fresh. However, the consistency of how the food is prepared can vary. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and this location has a stage out back where they sometimes have karaoke. Overall, I'd give it an 8 out of 10. Update 2/7/25 - Well I've updated my review on Slice again. I can report that the pizza has definitely gone down hill, and really not sure if I'm gonna order Pizza to go from this place. I always order a cheese and black olive. Last night we got a large pie. When I got home, the complete center of the pizza was soggy and un cooked! Totally disappointed. I mean the slices there are always good, but when you orde to go it's always shit. So down to two stars, almost considered one but the slices at the restaurant saved it. I hope the owner sees this and has a serious talk with the cooks. But probably not ... I remember seeing the owner in their regularly when they first opened 5 or 6 years ago, but not anymore. Anyways order take out at your own risk!

Couldn't decide on a whole pizza, so we ended up trying some of the slices out of the window. The vegan slice crust was surprisingly great. Pepperoni was a little too greasy, and marg pizza was pretty good. The crust was a little too thin for me, but that's ok. The place overall is pretty cute and corky. Check out the graffiti in the bathroom! Staff is nice.

Tokyo Tonkatsu is a delightful gem that brings the essence of Japanese comfort food to life. Nestled in a casual setting, this locally owned eatery offers an array of dishes, including their renowned King Ramen, which features chicken, kimchi, and a soft-boiled egg with a spicy kick. The family behind Tokyo Tonkatsu takes immense pride in their culinary creations; you can taste it in every bite!
I have loved the authenticity of this place, and it is really good to see they are expanding and trying to hire more individuals than just the owners! The food was fresh and delicious! The miso soup is one of my favorites, and the food is tasty and memorable. I think the prices of the food are worth it, as it is more expensive to buy the ingredients and make it yourself at home. We will definitely be coming back!

This is some of the best Japanese food I've ever had. Well made, fresh, large portions, and beautifully plated. Friendly staff and pleasant/relaxing atmosphere. Highly reccomend!
Tana S — Google review
While visiting Eugene, my daughter and I were craving ramen. We had heard about a few places, but the online photos of Tokyo Tonkatsu had me hooked—I had to try it! The restaurant is located downtown, and parking was easier than expected. While it wasn’t as fancy as I had imagined, I was immediately greeted with kindness by a server working in the open kitchen. Behind the counter, it looked like a family was preparing the meals, adding to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Ordering was simple, with a counter displaying pictures of each dish, and I appreciated that each item was numbered—helpful for those who may not be familiar with the pronunciations. After reading reviews beforehand, I had already decided between the King Ramen and the Katsu Ramen. I ultimately chose the King Ramen with a miso base, which came loaded with kimchi, karaage, chashu, a soft-boiled egg, special spicy sauce, corn butter, bean sprouts, menma, wakame, green beans, and green onions, all topped with their house chicken. After placing my order, I took a number and found a seat. In just about five minutes, my meal arrived—WOW! The portion was huge. The chicken was crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Every ingredient blended beautifully, making for an incredibly satisfying meal. I only wish I could have finished all of it! Small mom-and-pop restaurants like this deserve our support, and if you’re looking for an amazing ramen spot in Eugene, this is a must-try. Thank you, Tokyo Tonkatsu!

This quaint lil restaurant is AMAZING.. They take the art of food to a whole new level! Have you ever tasted food sooo good you KNEW the heart and soul was put into it? This lil place has that. The food is freshly made.. and tastes amazing.. it will most definitely keep you coming back! Ordered the Yoza.. the sauces are fabulous.. The noodle bowl with extra cabbage..all noodles...sauces etc are made fresh in house never frozen nor prepared days in advance... the broth was out of this world.. they also have bubble tea... had blueberry.. DELICIOUS 😋 The restaurant was clean and tidy.. servers were friendly.. helpful and inviting... if your not sure what you want.. tell them.. they will help you find it... yes forks are available for the non compliant chopstick crew lol... there are deserts available.. if you have space left after eating their delicious foods.. relaxing atmosphere.. great for in-between studies if your a student looking for amazing food and a break.. a date night... or just to have lunch/dinner... FOOD – amazing food. This restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine with a wide variety of options and generous portions. The spicy dishes are flavorful without being overwhelming, and the katsu features thick, crispy breading with tender chicken inside. SERVICE – Service is impressively quick! The system is efficient—order at the counter, take a seat with your order number, and your food arrives promptly. Despite a full house, our meal was served in just 10 minutes. AMBIENCE – The is cozy and have good seating available. LOCATION – Conveniently located in downtown, has metered street parking right outside and a public parking garage nearby.

Everything about this place is pretty great. 2 complaints are the prices and its normally loud. The food is amazing but the price also pretty high. If you are heading out to eat and want a nice sit down place that is mid range on a budget this is a great recommendation. For those of you who are Linemen like myself and require a Hefty amount of food this is not the location. I would say one of the premium dishes like the king Ramen only contains 1300 calories at best. And it costs 17 bucks. Great place for sit down casual dinner but not a constant go to. Great food, great atmosphere just a little pricey for constant visits. Also its normally too busy and the snack dishes are overpriced to make a good study spot. Still the food is Outstanding but Toshi's Ramen on pearl street is better and cheaper.

What a wonderful spot. The Tonkotsu was delicious enough for the restaurant to have it in their name! The flavors, the tastes, the aromas, the textures, the shapes, the crew, the presentation, the prices, the environment! How does one even begin to describe, the extreme pleasure of the exquisitely prepared food here? One doesn't describe it! SO, get yer doggone selves over here & support local, support quality and support your deserving palate! I have one word: Phenomenal ♡

Outstanding experience! This place is legit and if you're in Eugene you have to try it! We'll be back every time we visit! Food is delicious and has incredible flavors! Wide variety to choose from and beer selection can't be beat! Service was fantastic and employees were super helpful and knowledgeable about what they serve. Pulled pork and pulled chicken were amazing. Shrimp Po'Boy to die for. Chicken 'n Waffles best we've ever tasted. Makers Mark Burger was delicious. Wings in all four flavors were great but the Cherry Coke and Stout BBQ were worth mentioning. Fries are seasoned well and thick cut and the house made chips are unreal. Made fresh daily. Tots weren't seasoned but they were good... Definitely the only thing we ordered that wasn't absolutely bursting with flavor. Go in to watch a game, have some food or get a beer. You'll regret it if you don't!

Great food, awesome vibe, and the beer was on point. Different set up by you order at the counter and find your seat. Food was quick to come out and the waitstaff did check on us which was great since our table needed more beer of course. You can pay or start a tab which is convenient. The only thing that was not a table favorite was the fries. They were shoe string fries which We love but were very short, really thin, and cold. 100% will come here again!

Nicely decorated brew pub near the U of O campus. Friendly service. We had the catfish po boy with fried pickles and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries. Both were excellent. Be warned, though, the chicken is hot, hot, hot! The beers were good too.

We love Elk Horn Brewery. it's a great family friendly brewery with fantastic beer and cocktails and food to go along with it. Downstairs is perfect for families with a small play area, pinball machine, board games, and shuffle board. Every time we go to Eugene we have to go to Elk Horn!

Great place for food and some great cider. We loved the ambiance and our server (girl from Missouri) was attentive and just a sweetheart! I highly recommend the gumbo!! My wife had the pulled pork sandwiche which was excellent! We're looking forward to our next visit.

We really enjoyed Elk Horn Brewery. If you are in Eugene, or doing anything on campus, this is a great place to catch a brew, food or the game. Great food and drink, cool atmosphere! The beer selection is quality, endless IPA options, porters and Wheat beers. They have a super creative mixed drink menu also which comes in handy on a hot day. The food we had was really delicious. With Cajun inspiration across the board, the PoBoy and Cajun Chicken are amazing. I had the Reuben with tots and wish I bought two to take home with me. Incredibly good. Also, I had the Fried Pickle Frickles. Awesome! They also have a great outdoor patio. But if you are looking for more peace and quiet, be warned a multi story building is being built next door across the street. Lots of hammering and noise. Just order an additional beer and you will be fine! ;-)

We had such a good meal! Bren craving a good French Onion soup and this was it! Bring 2 other friend to enjoy it with, it was huge! We also had delicious Cajun fried and frizzled onions and this bomb burger with cheese curds on it! We'll be back.

We stopped in before a performance at the Hult Center. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was great. She answered all our questions and had a wonderful sense of humor. The menu has a variety of options but is not overwhelming. My drink was delicious and refreshing, and my French dip was huge. The roast beef was savory, and the onion rings were crispy. This is a great place to stop and get a bite to eat. We will be back next time we are in town.

Good food, hearty portions, great kids deals, and friendly service. Glad to see awesome options for small appetites.

Was looking forward to visiting here for quite a while. Today was the day, a rainy spring Sunday afternoon. Parking was easy across the street. We were seated quickly and placed our drink order. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, and we all decided to try a few apps and get some burgers and sandwiches. The Cajun onion fries were very good, and the pretzel was good as well. The bacon cheese dip was fire. I was looking forward to the burgers based on the reviews. We ordered the dipper, the smuggler, and the Ohana. They were all OK. For the price, I was hoping for more. But I traded for the wife's French dip, and it was very good. Overall, I can see why some people love it, but for me, it was just OK. 120 bucks for lunch for 4, and it wasn't memorable. But that doesn't mean it isn't good. It's just not as good as I built it up in my mind to be lol. Fries, onion rings, and tots are all great, and the sauces were all very well done as well. Service was mids at best. And it wasn't very busy... I recommend this for people who like good American food and are close to the 5th st market. I prefer other local options for the value, but I would return for sure.

Delicious food. The cheese curd burger was phenomenal. The Philly cheese steak is everything you'd hope it would be. Yummy fries and great service. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Great selection of burgers. Love their fries, especially their tempeh fries. Lots of mac n’ cheese options and delicious patty choices for vegetarians. The staff is usually very friendly and fast. We’ve had a few very slow experiences though, even when it isn’t busy, but their food always makes it all worth the wait. Can definitely get busy, especially on the weekends.

The café has a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for enjoying house-baked bread, fluffy pancakes, hearty omelets, and organic coffee. With its crunchy hippie food vibe featuring items like tempeh and sprouts, the café also offers split plates for sharing.
Side of the spiced tempeh was our absolute favorite. French toast and the morning glory sandwich were delicious too. Loved that I could skip the sweetener for the chai. The staff were attentive and extremely kind. Even on a busy Eugene marathon weekend they remained cheerful. If you get an outdoor seat and you're lucky, you could watch freight trains pass by the Eugene Amtrak station

Cute diner with friendly service and atmosphere. Vegetarian with a lot of vegan options. They have a wonderful mushroom gravy and always use fresh, quality ingredients. This morning we had the Belgian waffles with fruit and the morning medley (sram led eggs and herbed roasted potatoes (Yum!) and toast with a side of avocado. Everything was really tasty- and generous portions- except our Belgian waffles arrived cold. It’s a reasonably priced, family-friendly, and charming spot to eat.

One of my favorite spots in Eugene. I ate eat here with my family every time they come to town. Wonderful vegan and gluten free options. Wait times can be long so I usually get here before 9am and it’s not too bad.
Elizabeth C — Google review
I’ll start by saying if I had looked at the menu before coming I might have said no thank you. I’m a sausage and bacon kind of guy and it was breakfast time. I’m very happy to say I’m glad I didn’t poohpooh this place! It was summer and it was busy. They have a lot of servers, so you are never without coffee and water refills. The menu? They are vegetarian or vegan. Everything. But I had an omelette with “soysauge” and it was absolutely delicious! Came with roasted potatoes on the side. Wife had waffles with fruit overflowing them and they were also delicious. Turns out, I’m happy and surprised to say I definitely would recommend. Very reasonably priced as well. They only do breakfast and lunch, just a side note.
Sean W — Google review
Super affordable which automatically gives Morning Glory a good start. The “shredded potato shell” is hash browns with extra steps. They didn’t elevate the dish and made it a bit harder to find/create good bites. Over rated. Overall, tasty and filling for the price point. During a busy brunch rush, I noticed many tables sat open for long stretches as we were waiting to be seated, so the wait was certainly longer than it needed to be.
Alex B — Google review
Really great food I love that it’s all vegetarian and vegan. Lots of food considering the affordable price. Service was friendly. I highly recommend for breakfast! I got the omelette with tempeh, and the French toast.

I’m no vegetarian, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered the French toast and was delighted to see that my plate was abundantly decorated with 6 large slices, all subtly dressed in a luscious strawberry purée. Well decorated, quaint and delightsome. The only problem with the atmosphere was the noise level, my headache was ever growing, but the food kept my head clear.

We love this cafe which serves the best organic food. We loved the smoothies, the biscuits, the eggs, the tomatilla sauce, the potatoes and the marble rye toast. A+.

This little gem is worth checking out if you have some free time. They offer great shopping with a lot of French products and food. The bakery was superb! My almond croissant and cappuccino we're perfect.

What a neat little place! We were looking for a regular mall and found this little gem! Super unique shops and a really nice little grocery store / eatery on the bottom floor. We found a lot of cool stuff that we ended up buying.. Artisan pasta, little scrubby brushes, wooden utensils and a pretty decent wine selection! Clean bathrooms, shops and floors. Really beautiful and some ornate flower arrangements. They had one of the best toy stores we had ever been to, with a huge selection to choose from. We went during October and their Halloween directions were on point! They had a giant pumpkin that was being carved right before us. We enjoyed our time at this fascinating place and we'll be sure to return!

Plank Town Brewing Company is a top-notch craft microbrewery and alehouse located in Springfield, OR. This establishment offers an impressive selection of handcrafted microbrews and delicious Northwest-inspired meals. The cozy bar and dining room provide a laid-back setting to enjoy their excellent beers alongside New American eats. With limited sidewalk dining available, it's the perfect spot for a casual meal or drinks with friends.
My son and I stopped in here 8/12/25 for an early dinner and the food was excellent! I'd been here once before, and convinced my son that he *must* try this place out! I think he was a little skeptical about my enthusiasm, but he very quickly changed his mind. He ordered the pulled pork slider for an appetizer, and I would include a photo of it but he wolfed it down too quickly for me! I ordered the fried artichoke hearts and they were perfectly fried, perfectly salted, soft with slightly crispy edges and paired with what tasted like a dill cream sauce. Delicious, 10/10 recommend! My son ordered the Steelhead salmon with grilled asparagus and gnocchi and could not stop raving about the flavors as he ate. I chose the special, two prime rib tacos with habanero salsa and pickled jalapenos, and let me tell you, the harmony of flavors within these amazing tacos had me in awe. They were SO incredibly good. I also had the "WY East", a tropical tasting creamy cocktail, and it too was fabulously delicious. We finished up with a slice of the peanut butter chocolate torte (I think?) and shared it in the car before the concert we were heading to. AMAZING. While I'm here, I want to shout out our waitress, Carrie, who was also excellent! She was very attentive and almost seemed to read our minds, and popped over to our table right when we needed anything--without having to wave her down. Not even a minute after I said to my son "I'm so full, we definitely need boxes!" she showed up to offer boxes. That's how her service went for us the whole time we were there, and we were so appreciative! Thanks, Carrie!! My son and I had a wonderful trip to see 311 in concert, and our time was enhanced by our stop here and the quality of this establishment. We will be back, and highly recommend this place to everyone!

Fast efficient service. Highly recommend the deep fried artichoke hearts and the spicy passion fruit Margarita !

This restaurant has some good food and great drinks. We had the steak and cauliflower, along with a ceaser salad. The spicy margarita was very good. I would definitely come back to try another dish.

Really great dive and love the selection of craft beers. Not overcrowded but lovely enough. Would love if there were a monitor or two to catch news or a sporting event, but good company can remedy that pretty easily. Overall, would return for certain.

We were passing through Washington State and happened to stop by for a quick bite. Everything exceeded our expectations — the food was delicious, all our preferences were taken into account, and the service was excellent. Thanks

I went there today with two friends, The food was amazing, I had the smash burger with fries. They make their own ranch it was out of this world. Next friend has the fish and chips she loved and last friend had the classic burger and fries. The food is worth what you pay for it trust me. Our waitress was the sweetest great service. Last but not least my hats off to the Chef. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, will definitely be back :)
K — Google review
Had a terrible experience at this place. Met up with an old friend to have a quick bite to eat before heading home to Albany. I had my 1 year old son with me. We tried to sit away from everyone since my son was already a little ansy from being in the car for so long, since it was open seating and not to busy we chose a big table in the corner away from everyone since the rest of the tables were to high for a highchair. This one waitress approaches us and asks us rudely how many people we had and tells us to find a different table. We should have left then... but we proceeded to find another table. The only table suitable for a highchair was by everyone else. We ordered our drinks and food. My son was excited about his grapes and started squealing. Granted he did it a few times but what can you do about a 1 year old!? Absolutely nothing! The same waitress is taking food out to a table outside and yells from the door over to our table that I need to quiet down my son that people are complaining. Mind you she was not friendly about it and was extremely rude. Even another table who had a child looked back at her with their mouths wide open. I couldn't even believe my own ears. We decided to leave at this point. Told our waiter what happened and that we were leaving without paying. Someone needs to put that lady's attitude into check or be fired. The audacity!
Justine S — Google review
10/13/25 Our waitress/bartender tonight was amazing — she didn’t just serve us, she connected with us. She shared genuine comraderie and made the whole table feel like old friends catching up instead of customers. That kind of warmth and energy made our night.
