Parque de María Luisa is a significant urban park in Seville, offering scenic plazas with landscaped gardens, fountains, and monuments. The park is part of an area that includes various notable landmarks such as the Giralda, the Cathedral, Reales Alcazares, Torre del Oro, Plaza de España, and more. It's a must-visit destination in Seville and provides a comprehensive insight into the essence of the city.
Beautiful park right next to the Plaza de España. We went there for a quiet stroll after visiting the Plaza de España. In the park you can find shade, made beautiful trees, plants and a wide variety of animals. We also enjoyed the art in the park and the quiet sounds of the trees, the bushes and the animals. Go there if you want a quiet break in the warm city.

The park is so beautiful and lovely! I simply enjoyed the vibe here and had a wonderful time just taking a morning walk in it. You can feel the balanced mixture of nature and human in this place, all the colors and cool architectures are also making visiting this place a unique experience. Definitely recommend to come and visit, such a nice place to chill and relax.

🌿 Review: Parque de María Luisa – Seville, Spain An extraordinary place! Parque de María Luisa is one of the most beautiful and spacious parks in Seville. Located just steps away from the iconic Plaza de España, it’s the perfect spot to fully enjoy the outdoors. The park has a wonderful atmosphere — parts of it feel peaceful and romantic, ideal for a quiet walk or a date, while other areas are perfect for children and families. Whether you’re going alone, with a partner, or with a group, there’s something for everyone. As someone from Argentina, I brought my mate and had an absolutely amazing time. It’s a great place to sit under the trees, relax, have a picnic or some tea, and just enjoy the surroundings. The public restrooms are clean and well maintained. Dogs are welcome, and there are open areas where people can relax or play — including picnic zones, which I loved. 🟢 Highly recommended! Definitely one of my favorite parks in Seville. A must-visit if you’re in the city.
LARA R — Google review
This beautiful park is an absolute oasis in the heart of Seville, offering a truly peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. I spent hours simply strolling through the lush gardens, marveling at the vibrant greenery and the intricate tilework. Every corner reveals another picturesque scene, from the grand Plaza de España, with its stunning architecture, to the quieter, more tranquil ponds and fountains. It's incredibly spacious, so even on a busy day, you can always find a serene spot to relax and soak in the atmosphere. This is undeniably a must-visit for anyone coming to Seville; you'll leave feeling refreshed and invigorated. The sheer scale and beauty make it highly recommended for anyone seeking a blend of natural beauty and historic charm. It's a testament to the city's dedication to preserving its iconic green spaces, truly a breathtaking experience.

Magnificent park, with beautifully arranged gardens, who’s nature is calming and the shade of trees creates a cooling oasis on hotter days. ☀️🌳🌴 a great place for a Picknick and offers fun activities for families
Viktoria V — Google review
Lovely park with beautiful plants, lots of animals and a bunch of interesting sights. Perfect for both a walk and also just to chill due to several benches where you can relax in the shadow. Cicadas can be a bit loud depending on the season and the horse carriages leave behind their dumps everywhere, leading to bad smell at some areas.
Wladislav S — Google review
What a fantastic place to visit, and walk around. We used the Hop on Hop off bus to get there, it was so easy. You can spend a couple of hours walking round.

Casa de Pilatos is a stunning palace located at no 1, Plaza de Pilatos, dating back to the fifteenth century. It was created through the union of two noble families and reflects their love for Renaissance art. The palace features internal courtyards adorned with Greek and Roman statues, as well as an impressive collection of artworks. Over time, it underwent comprehensive remodeling that incorporated Romantic elements and features.
This is a less known site however worth visiting. It has beautifully preserved palace blending various styles including Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Beautiful courtyards filled with delicate art and various statues. A lot to see and we were not able to see the upstairs residence rooms. Has a nice garden and a lot of corners to take photos.
Devansh — Google review
I thought it would be much smaller than it was! Walked in when passing by and saw that it might be a nice stop but it was so much more! Lots of rooms and courtyards to explore. Allow time to walk around and appreciate the effort put into creating such a special place. Provides a glimpse into the history that shaped this blend of art and cultural styles.
Sammy — Google review
Having seen two other palaces in Seville, I wasn't sure whether to visit here but feel so glad I did. The tiled walls are beautiful and the garden courtyards are just wonderful. The palace is an oasis of splendid palacial architecture but also feels very peaceful. The palaces in Seville all have their unique charm and Casa de Pilatos is a very special example. You won't regret visiting.

Great place with fabolous architecture. If you're visiting Sevilla it's worth checking in out. We went there on a Friday and there weren't many people. There's an option to book a tour for the upper floor which I can recommend. The tour was only provided in Spanish, however the guide was very friendly and explained some things in English as well. He made the tour fun and interactive which was great. There is also a free audio guide which can be accessed by scanning the QR code received at the entrance. The rooms are numbered so it's clear which audio to play. Overall it was a great experience.
Alice M — Google review
I dont know why this place has a low rate at reviews but in my opinion this place is stunning. There you can clearly see the mixture of cultures, the rooms with arabic culture and azulejos are soooo beautiful. The gardens also so beautiful. I bought only the first floor and i think its enough to take the essence of the place. I bought the tickets two days before arriving and found them in the official site.
Naja — Google review
It is somehow difficult to recommend, but at the same time it is also an interesting building. First and foremost, the mosaics on the building are beautiful, and the mix of architectural styles from different regions and periods is very interesting. However, many areas are deteriorated and in need of restoration. Some rooms are open to the public, but serve more as storage than anything (building materials, a random bike here, a bunch of columns stappled on the floor there). The audio guides are interesting but not adequate. The audio guides have a bunch of very detailed (perhaps too detailed) information, but they are too long. After the third audio you loose interest. I would recommend to shorten the audio guides to the most relevant aspects of each area, and complement with text on boards or posters on each room. I stopped hearing after the fourth audio. The bathrooms are dirty and not an enjoyable experience. The area of the palace is also relatively small. Therefore, compared to the Alcázar, 12€ per person is on the expensive side (18 if you want to access the second floor), even more considering the state of the edification.
Mario S — Google review
Beautiful palace with Mudejar, Renaissance and Gothic architecture coming together in blissful harmony. Very pretty peaceful courtyard garden to sit in and while away an hour. Definitely worthwhile a visit and considerably quieter than the much larger Real Alcazar. We came on a Thursday and just bought tickets at the entrance.
Satnam S — Google review
A stunning blend of history, art, and quiet beauty. Casa de Pilatos feels like stepping into another century — every courtyard, tile, and archway tells a story. The harmony between Andalusian and Italian styles is mesmerizing. The staff were kind, and the atmosphere peaceful even in the heart of the city. A must-see gem in Seville.

Seville is a city with an abundance of beautiful and historic landmarks, including the Torre del Oro. This outer defensive tower, built around 1220, has a name that sparks various theories about its origins. The city also boasts other must-see attractions such as the Giralda, the Cathedral of Seville, Reales Alcazares (Arabic Palace), and many more.
Free entry, they will ask you for any donation at the entry, even if it's £1 they will be happy so you choose the price of your ticket! Very interesting and has lovely ship models with a lot of history facts to learn. At the top you can take a picture of a lovely view of the city!
Viktoria M — Google review
It was a military watchtower in Seville constructed in 13th century and served as a prison. The tower is divided into three levels. It is one of two anchor points for a large chain that would have been able to block the river. The other anchor-point has since been demolished or disappeared. Picturesque place by the river. Must see place. Great place for photography. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen
S V — Google review
The Torre del Oro is a fascinating historical landmark in Seville. It’s not a very big tower, but its history makes it worth a visit. The small museum inside gives a nice overview of Seville’s naval past and maritime trade, especially during the time of the Spanish Empire. From the top, you get beautiful views of the Guadalquivir River and the city. It doesn’t take long to visit, so it’s a perfect stop while walking along the riverside.
Olaya B — Google review
The Tower of Oro is a wonderful little museum that offers great insight into the history of the remarkable discoveries made by the Spanish. From the top, you can enjoy stunning views of both the river and the city. The ticket price was very reasonable, and I highly recommend a visit.
Murillo P — Google review
Visited in October 2025 — what an incredible spot! The tower looks almost circular at first glance, but it’s actually dodecagonal (12-sided) and full of character. Since the space inside is quite small, visitors go in by batches, which keeps it from feeling crowded. You climb up through narrow, winding staircases that connect each level — it definitely adds to the adventure. The tower, once known as the Tower of Gold, dates back to the 12th century and was originally built as a military watchtower to control ships coming up the Guadalquivir River. It’s a charming little maritime museum filled with antique maps, ship models, and old navigational instruments. With Wi-Fi — just scan the barcode to access the audio guide right on your phone. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Seville!
Sujatha N — Google review
One of the iconic landmarks in Seville. The small museum inside showcases insights of Spain‘s history and naval legacy. You get a free audio guide and the information seems to be very interesting , however, it’s not working properly, at least without headphones - the recording stops the second your screen light goes off and then you need to start it from the beginning, so at some point I just gave up. You can climb to the top and while it’s not the tallest building, you still get some nice views over the city. There is no entry fee, but you are expected to make a small donation.
Yana C — Google review
Torre del Oro is one of those landmarks that instantly draws your attention as you stroll along the river in Seville. It’s not a massive structure, but it has a strong presence and a lot of history packed into it. The tower was originally built in the 13th century by the Almohads, who ruled much of southern Spain during that time. It was part of the city’s river defense system, and its name comes from the golden reflection it supposedly cast on the water centuries ago. We visited during a weekday and were pleasantly surprised that there was no entry fee. Inside, there’s a small but interesting naval museum that gives you a peek into Seville’s maritime past. The best part is climbing to the top, where you get a panoramic view of the Guadalquivir River, the Triana neighborhood, and the city skyline. Even if you don’t go inside, it’s a beautiful spot to walk by and take in the atmosphere. It’s a quiet piece of Seville’s rich history that’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re already exploring the riverfront area.
Ali M — Google review
The tower is right next to the lake and has an incredible view of the city of Sevilla from the top of it. There is nothing much to see inside the tower. The entrance is free but they are accepting donations.

The Royal Alcázar of Seville is a landmark Moorish royal palace featuring fountain-filled gardens, ornate arches, and 16th-century tiles. It is considered one of the finest examples of Mudejar architecture in Spain, showcasing a blend of Moorish and Renaissance styles. The palace complex has a rich history dating back to the 10th century when it was initially built as a Moorish fortress.
A seriously beautiful palace. Architecture is nothing short of amazing. The gardens are well keep, even in the heat. You can easily spend a few hours here. Enter at the lions gate. Lines moves quickly to get in. Buy timed ticket online. Water closet, cafe and gift shop inside.
Toni S — Google review
Make sure you book at least one to two weeks in advance — it fills up fast, and with good reason. The Alcázar is absolutely breathtaking. The detail in the architecture is something else — arches, tiles, carvings, gardens… it’s a living masterpiece. The Mudejar style (that blend of Islamic and Christian design) gives it such a layered, soulful feel. You can really feel the history here — not just see it. We decided to book the 8:30am VIP tour with GetYourGuide, and it was one of the best decisions of our trip. No queues, no chaos — we were inside before the heat and the crowds. Anna, our guide, was phenomenal. So passionate, informed, and completely in love with the place — her energy brought it all to life. Worth every single cent. Go early, go with a guide, and take it all in slowly.
Colleen S — Google review
Really an amazing experience. A must see in a lifetime. Don’t forget to admire the splendid gardens. Only downside: the audio guides explanations are a bit... thin. I would rather let a real local guide accompany me to benefit from all explanations.
François E — Google review
Honestly, the place is pure magic. I’ve seen countless pictures, but nothing prepared me for how breathtaking it is in person. The sheer amount of detail in the architecture is incredible, and you can see so much history in the different styles. The gardens are a whole other level—they're huge and so beautiful, with hidden corners and fountains everywhere. It’s the perfect escape from the city heat. I could have happily spent the entire day just wandering through them. My biggest recommendation, especially if you're visiting in the summer, is to pre-book your tickets online. Seriously, don't even think about showing up to buy them on the day. The lines can be absolutely brutal, and you'll spend a ton of time waiting in the heat. Booking online gets you a specific time slot and lets you skip the main queue, so you can head straight to security and start exploring right away. It's the best way to make sure you get in and make the most of your visit without any stress.
Vibhore S — Google review
Wow what a beautiful palace. Such stunning architecture. We bought tickets few days advance so got only one availability, would recommend booking a bit more advance to not miss ot out.
Pranjal P — Google review
The Real Alcázar of Seville is one of my absolute favorite places in all of Andalusia. This breathtaking palace combines stunning gardens with intricate Moorish details, creating a magical atmosphere that feels timeless. For me, it stands as a living witness to the fusion of Moorish and Spanish culture, shaped over hundreds of years of history. I highly recommend visiting—it’s truly unforgettable. I toured the Alcázar with Crown Tours, and they were excellent. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history to life with fascinating details and stories that made the experience even more special.
Murillo P — Google review
A not to be missed experience. Book your tickets online and as early as possible. Aim for the first entry at 930am, it gets very crowded later on. Will take around 3 hours including the superb gardens. The hydraulic organ plays on the hour every hour.
Shiv S — Google review
Amazing architecture! The most Maximalism style i have even seen! It’s absolutely beautiful and very impressive! They closed by 5:30 so we did not have nearly enough time to see everything. It will take at least 2 hours to make all the stops.

Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, also known as La Maestranza, is a historic bullring dating back to 1761. It is the oldest bullfighting ring in the world and remains in use for traditional bullfights during the annual Seville Fair. The site also houses a museum showcasing the art of bullfighting.
I came for the Camilo Concert on the 09/09/25 and was not disappointed. It's such an amazing venue to have it. It's open air. Full of history. The vibe there was electric and I will never ever forget the experience. It was easy to find my seat, as they are labelled with tiles. Bar inside. Incredible venue.
Rebecca — Google review
The Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Sevilla is full of tradition. I did not attend a bullfight, so I cannot comment on that experience. However, the plaza also houses a small museum that offers insight into this ancient practice. I was drawn to visit mainly because of a poem (Alguns toureiros) by João Cabral de Melo Neto, which reflects on famous bullfighters from Andalusia. While my visit was not centered on the spectacle itself, I found the history and cultural context presented there to be fascinating.
Murillo P — Google review
An historic building with regrettable past now turned into a museum and occasional concert venue. It’s only 12€ for entrance and it’s well worth the price of entry. I learned a lot about the history of bullfighting, the respect for the bulls, and saw tons of posters, paintings, old outfits and memorabilia. The best part of the visit by far was to actually getting to see the arena. It’s expansive and you can feel the history steeped in the seats. I had a great time visiting and if you’re in Seville, I think you should check it out.
Scott L — Google review
Great tour. Museum at the begging was very informative and QR code audio tour was really interesting. (English available l) Remember to bring eaebuds/headphones. Fulls access to the arena was cool as was sitting in the stands. Highly recommend
Lee M — Google review
The Plaza de Toros is beautiful and full of history. The architecture is impressive, and the museum gives a great look into the tradition of bullfighting. However, my family and I were disappointed because the information only showed the opening hours for the museum, not for any real-time bullfighting shows. We thought we could experience a live show but discovered it was just the museum visit. It would be very helpful if the official listings and tickets clearly explained whether there are live bullfights scheduled or if it’s only the museum open. Overall, worth visiting for the history and architecture, but clearer information about events and shows would make the experience much better.
LIGHTCOR T — Google review
It’s beautiful but slightly disappointing that there’s no performance there anymore, the ticket is only for entry the place, and they have 2 small galleries for the bullring arts and the historical pieces. Not super impressive and will take around a hour or less to get through everything.
Tommy T — Google review
Really cool and unique experience, but make sure you know what you’re going to before buying tickets. I didn’t realize exactly what bullfighting was until I got there, it’s definitely intense and not for everyone. Still, it was fascinating to see such a historic part of Spanish culture. The ticket price was reasonable, and I’d recommend dressing similar to how you might for a horse race; a bit nicer than casual. Also, if you plan to go, it’s not a bad idea to grab a drink beforehand since you can’t bring alcohol in and the price can add up quick.
Trenton M — Google review
Olé! Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza is a real site to see in Seville! We walked right in and bought tickets at the little desk in the entrace way-no lines, no advance purchase and we even somehow ended up with the place almost entirely to ourselves! The visit began in a small but captivating museum, where I was in awe immediately the matador costumes. The detail is extraordinary! Intricate embroidery and design, colors and sparkle! They were definitely the highlight of the museum demanding attention. I didn’t realize being in the Bullring as a matador was also part putting on a fashion show! The artwork was also very interesting to see different stories told in paintings and drawings. And then… the bullring. Surreal doesn’t even cover it! Standing on the golden sand, looking up at the tiers of stone, I felt transformed back in time walking through the big arches. We climbed all the way to the top, right near the royal section, imagining the view the spectators had centuries ago. A few people below were reenacting matador poses for photos and I couldn’t help but laugh at the extreme difference of past and present day. So much has changed, yet the energy here is alive and undeniable! The thought that I was standing in the very heart of a Spanish bullring in Seville gave me chills. It was one of those moments in life where you step back and say "How cool is this?!!" So glad I made the stop in!

La Giralda is a stunning Spanish Renaissance-style minaret with a Gothic and baroque bell tower. It's part of the diverse and beautiful monuments in Seville, including the Cathedral, Reales Alcazares, Torre del Oro, Plaza de Espana, Maria Luisa Park, and more. Seville offers an array of tourism options from historical tours to tapas and wine tours.
We did the 20.30 roof tour and it's absolutely fantastic. Did not except that we were able to see this much of one of the greatest and most beautiful monuments of Spain. Very kind and knowledged guide, good working head sets. Very fair price if you see what you get. Would recommend to everyone who can climb a few narrow stairs (you go up all the way).
Bart J — Google review
Climbing the tower is optional on a visit to the cathedral. It's a sloped path - not stairs which helped make it feel easier. There are a lot of level window nooks with flat seating for when you need a break. It would say it's moderately steep, but doable, especially because there are opportunities to rest. The up/down traffic is on the same path which made it a bit crowded in places. But the view at the top is beautiful. The frequent windows did let in some fresh air and slight breeze, but it was pretty warm in early June about noon.

Majestic and timeless, Seville Cathedral and the Giralda offer an unforgettable experience. After admiring the vast Gothic interior, visitors face a demanding ascent. While the official description highlights ramps and a few steps, the full route — including upper levels and the rooftop perimeter — amounts to more than 300 steps. In Seville’s heat, it is wise to carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and avoid peak hours. The effort is richly rewarded with breathtaking views and a profound sense of Seville’s historic soul.

Legendary building in Sevilla This is a beautiful tower in Andalusia. Part of the BIG 3 you have to do, with the Mezquita, the Giralda and obviously l'Alhambra. The Giralda is a beautiful tower sitting right in the town centre or the old town. It is a fabulous building and looks really grand. It can obviously be visited but you really need to book for this like most impressive sites in Spain. Highly recommended we really enjoyed it!
Paul V — Google review
We visited on a weekday afternoon and had to line up several times — first to get in, then again for audio guides, and finally to enter La Giralda. The tower is well laid out, with around 35 ramps and rest stops along the way for those who need them. Most people should be able to make the climb without too much trouble. However, it was extremely crowded. The path is narrow, so you go up and down in a single file, often shoulder to shoulder with others. Once at the top, you line up again just to get a view out of each window, and there are fences that make it hard to get a clear look. There didn’t seem to be any real crowd control at the top, which really took away from the experience. If you’re claustrophobic, I’d skip this part. There are plenty of other great spots in Seville to see panoramic views of the city. The cathedral itself was much more enjoyable — there were clear signs and pamphlets explaining the art and architecture. That said, unless you get the audio guide, there’s not much context provided about the tower itself.
Dani — Google review
La Giralda is a former Muslim minaret transformed into a church bell tower, symbolizing the fascinating transition from one culture to another. The construction itself is magnificent, a true masterpiece of architecture. Be prepared for a bit of a workout—the climb to the top can be challenging, but it’s absolutely worth it. The panoramic views of Seville from above are breathtaking. I highly recommend this unforgettable experience.
Murillo P — Google review
The area encompassing the open area next to the Seville Cathedral and surroundings. The history is amazing. There is a large sistern below the outdoor open area enclosed by the walls of the Giralda. This was essential for providing clean cool water to the town in antiquity. The Guadalquivir River was likely not the best place to get drinking water due to the number of upstream towns and villages likely dumping sewer into the river.
Hayes W — Google review
The tour is about 35 ramps with only steps at the end so easier to manage for old and young. Originally it was so guards on horseback could ride to the top. It was totally busy at 4 pm on a Monday in October. Tickets in advance are necessary unless it’s really off season. Shoulders must be covered and anyone showing up in a tank top could buy a wrap for 3€. They said legs should be covered to the knees but there were plenty of shorts that they didn’t make an issue of.

The Seville Museum of Fine Arts is housed in a 17th-century palace that was originally a convent. Founded by St. Peter Nolasco, it's the second most important Spanish art museum in Spain and boasts an impressive collection of Sevillan Baroque paintings from the 17th century Golden Age. The museum features works by renowned artists such as Greco, Velazquez, Zurbaran, Murillo, Valdes Leal, and Francisco de Herrera the younger.
A very fine museum containing a number of small treasures in a rather pleasant setting! The works are well laid out and the staff are friendly. Don't miss the chapel, which has been transformed into an exhibition room! What's more, it's cheap, air-conditioned and not very busy.
Ladislas N — Google review
Excellent museum and very good value at €1.50 for non residents. Rucksacks and bags have to be stored in the free lockers. Allow time as there are a lot of rooms containing artsworks. There are the usual religious works but also many works relating to local and social history. Well worth a morning of your time browsing in this beautiful setting.

I had an absolute blast visiting the Museo de Bellas Artes in Seville. The museum boasts an outstanding collection of Murillo’s paintings, along with an impressive selection of sacred art. The building itself is stunning and well worth admiring on its own. I went on a Sunday, when admission was free, which made the experience even better. This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seville!
Murillo P — Google review
The courtyard was stunning. It is a really good place to take some photos. The paintings are great too but, they lack of variety. Nearly, all the paintings are in a religious theme, so it makes the visit somehow boring if you are not really into that. The entry is 1.50€ for non-EU citizens.

Beautiful museum with fantastic collection of artists from baroque onwards from Seville and wider Spain and Europe. Very well kept gardens. European residents are free otherwise is only €1.50 for others. Very peaceful and quiet when we visited in the early afternoon.

The building might not look like much from the outside, but inside — the rooms and ceilings are absolutely stunning. There’s an incredible collection of paintings by Sevillian artists that takes you right back in time. A must-see museum in Seville! ❤️

If you have a fondness for fine art and prefer a less crowded cultural experience in Seville, then the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville is highly recommended. Housed in a serene 17th-century convent, it showcases masterpieces from the Golden Age of Sevillian Painting and features extensive works by Murillo and Valdés, among others. It offers a profound experience.

The Archivo de Indias is a Renaissance building that has been designated as a World Heritage site. It houses an extensive collection of documents related to the Spanish Empire. The city of Seville, where the archive is located, is known for its rich history and architectural wonders such as the Giralda, the Cathedral, Reales Alcazares, Torre del Oro, and many more.
Here are the reasons why you should visit this museum/archive: 1. It's for free. 2. It's actually quite interesting, and you get to learn about the Spanish expeditions in the 16th and 17th centuries. 3. The AC is really nice. Get out of the scorching sun and enjoy culture in fresh, dark rooms.
Flosca — Google review
Located just right next to the Catedral de Sevilla, Archivo de Indias will be a nice short visit to see another part of history in this city. The rooms where they put all the archives are beautiful. We spent around 30 minutes here, with a nice history telling to our kids.

The Archivo de Indias is a fascinating place to get a glimpse into the era of Spain’s great conquests. The building itself is beautiful, with elegant classical architecture that adds to the experience. Admission was free when I visited, which makes it an even more worthwhile stop. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in history or Spanish heritage.
Murillo P — Google review
Free museum at the building where they stored all the archives from Spanish colonial times. There are portraits of the directors of the archive, as well as information on the trips of discovery and colonialism. It is a beautiful building right next to the Cathedral of Sevilla and it is worth a short visit, it should not take more than half an hour to visit all of it.
Lakis P — Google review
Hard to describe the disappointment I experienced having visited this archive today. To be fair, my expectations were quite high as I just came back from a 6 months trip throughout South America where I learned a lot about Spanish colonialism. However, in this archive not a single word is uttered about the cruelty of the Spanish conquest of the Latin American countries, the mistreatment and injustice towards native inhabitants of the continent, their traditions and livelihood. All you will find in this archive is praise for the humanitarian and educational mission of the conquistadores, the great achievements of having founded universities abroad and the alleged wisdom the Spanish empire brought to the peoples that became slaves to a culture and religion they were never asked to be part of. As the archive's website claims there are supposed to be '[..] about eighty million pages of original documents that allow us to delve deeper into more than three centuries of history of an entire continent every day, from Tierra del Fuego to the southern United States, in addition to the Spanish Far East and the Philippines: political and social history, economic history and mentalities, ecclesiastical history and art history [..]' As a visitor you will not get to see a single one of these actually important documents, neither will you be enabled a 'deep delve' into the history of the colonies. Very narrow and misleading framing of a significant source of history for about 440m people that to date feel the inequality the colonisation brought to their lives, let alone the millions that died from diseases and enslavement the Europeans brought to their continent. A nation as educated and conscious about their 'humanitarian mission' as Spain should know and do better than this.
Jakob S — Google review
A beautiful building worth a visit but not much of a "museum", the archives are all on the shelves and you can't touch them.
E C — Google review
Almost forgotten between Alcazar and the cathedral, this building was developed by the same architect as the Escorial. Worth a visit while waiting for the other two.
Igor H — Google review
Admission is free. For some reason, I was expecting more of it. I guess there’s so much history associated to the building and the institution itself that it’s hard to show it all, but even though the art was interesting to look at, the didactic aspect was a unfortunately a bit lacking. All in all, it was a quick visit and we spent 0€, so it wasn’t terrible.

Isla Mágica is a New World-themed adventure park located outside the city center, offering a Spanish colonial atmosphere. The park features thrilling roller coasters, water slides, live shows, and a lake for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Kids can engage in water battles with jet cannons on boats while older children can experience the adrenaline rush of a 50 miles-per-hour rollercoaster and brave the 220-feet free-fall Desafio ride.
A very nice amusement park not only for kids but for adults as well! It's well worth the money and I highly recommend finding the hours and places of their daily shows!! They are absolutely fantastic and it will be a delight to watch them! You can find their schedules right next to the map of the park. You should also take a picture of the maps, as I didn't seem to see them much around the place. If you don't take your own food, that is food and drinks available in the restaurants inside. If you don't like waiting, you should buy the fast track pass, as some queues are quite long. If you don't go around summer time, beware that the water park is NOT open, only the other part is. However, in tha parl that is always open there are still lots of attractions with water and places where kids can play with water!

Fantastic Sunday adventure at Isla Mágica! We spent a full Sunday exploring both parks at Isla Mágica in Seville, and what an experience it was! From heart-pounding water rides to atmospheric historic zones, there was something magical around every corner. The themed shows were lively and entertaining, and the park’s attention to detail—cobblestone streets, lush greenery, and colorful architecture—really made it feel immersive. Navigating both parks made for a full day, and we did feel the pace get a little tiring by mid-afternoon. That’s why I highly recommend investing in the fast-track access—it was a game-changer! Being able to skip the long lines on popular attractions meant more ride time, less waiting, and a much smoother experience overall. Highlights: • Thrilling rides and water attractions kept us cool and entertained. • Beautifully themed zones and live performances added to the atmosphere. • Great variety in food stalls and restaurants for every taste. Tip: Grab the fast-track pass when you book tickets or at the park entrance—it’s worth it for the convenience and extra fun you’ll get. A perfect way to spend a Sunday with lots of energy, excitement, and cultural charm. Highly recommended for families, friends, and anyone ready for a lively day out

Hola! I bought my tickets in advance online so there was no wait going inside the park. It was a very HOT day so I would recommend bringing sunscreen or going on a cooler day. I did not have a chance to go to the water park side but maybe next time. The park rides are okay. It is divided so that there are little kid rides and rides for older kids and adults. This isn’t the place for the person that likes a lot of rides but is a place to go to get out the house and have fun. The food is just okay and expensive so I would pack snacks just in case you get hungry. Also, the gift shop is a little expensive. The things in there are not really worth buying but they do have good gifts for kids. I gave it three stars because of the experience could have been better but I would repeat.
Dominic M — Google review
Definitely book online, saves you having to queue twice. There was a long queue to enter but that was not long after it opened, it was less busy later on. Didn't go to the water park part, but did see the queue for that and even once inside the park, the queue to enter was long. There is a good selection of things to do, for different ages too. The queue for some rides was long, there is a screen that tells you the wait time. There are also plenty of places to get food and drinks, as well as places to sit
Rachel C — Google review
I dream about going back! It was one of the best experiences ever! Entry was fairly priced and other than the Hot Air Balloon all other rides were free!!! Let me tell you, I'd go every day if I lived there!

Oct 25 2025. A Saturday. Nice park. Very busy. Waited for well over an hour for two rides. Waited about 30 mins for two others. Food ok for a theme park. Nice way to spend a day. Legs hanging from all the queueing. Decent food hall to cool off. Difficult to navigate if you have no spanish. No English signs anywhere.
Michael E — Google review
Overcrowded park. Deckchairs mostly taken and have to pay extra for. If you don't buy vip parking tickets , you need to park very far away. Long 20 mins plus wait times in the sun and heat for rides. 4D cinema film looks like it was created on a Pentium 2 PC. You can't wear sunglasses without straps while in the water, even if you just had an eye operation. The water on some of the rides and pools is dirty. Some kids areas you can't stay with your kids until they get the hang of it. Which is unfair for kids who are scared at the begining and need some courage. Overpriced food and drinks. (No food and drinks allowed from outside) So they can continue to empty your wallet 😂 (We snuck in our own food and suggest you do the same 😄) Our only disappointment in one of the most beautiful cities in the world !

The Palacio de las Dueñas, a grand palace dating back to the late 1400s, offers a fascinating glimpse into Andalusian aristocratic life. Over the centuries, it has been home to notable figures such as Empress Eugenie de Montijo and Alfonso XIII, as well as serving as a residence for famous guests like Jacqueline Kennedy and Grace Kelly.
Lovely Palace. Much quieter than other places, which makes the visit even more pleasant. The patios are beautiful and refreshing. You can either use their online audio guide or on site they will provide you one.

Wonderful self guided tour!! Plan to take about 45 minutes. It has an audio guide you can listen to in multiple languages. You can access via your phone or the gift shop has devices you can use for this purpose. A neat act is that someone actually lives in the building. He doesn't have much meaning for them or seeing them. I believe the cost was roughly 14 euros. I recommend doing the audio tour as you go through. You can skip ahead at any time, the rooms are numbered so you know which audio to select. There was some minor road construction leading to the palace, but there are signs to ensure that you can find your way

The tickets weren’t expensive, and there was no line at all – we didn’t have to wait. Inside, it was very quiet and peaceful, with only a few people around. The atmosphere was incredibly calming and beautiful. It’s a perfect place just to sit, relax, and watch the surroundings. We were absolutely mesmerized and spent hours inside, taking photos and simply enjoying the view. If you’re visiting Seville, this is definitely a place you should stop by. Highly recommended – it’s truly enchanting.
Zey — Google review
It’s a smaller and much more quiet palace compared to the Alcázar. But it’s still very much worth a visit in my opinion. Also just because it’s smaller, it doesn’t mean that it’s small by any standard - it has multiple courtyards, beautifully decorated rooms, and a stable. You can do a self-guided audio tour but we just walked around and read the plaques. Overall, it’s a fun palace to visit.

We visited the Palace as wanted to see the gardens. Smaller than some but plenty to see and it's absolutely beautiful. The place is like a little maze with something else to look at round every corner. Loved this palace and gardens.

Palacio de las Dueñas is an amazing historical residence in the heart of Seville. It belongs to the House of Alba, one of the most distinguished noble families in Spain. The palace is stunning, with strong Moorish influences, beautiful gardens, and vibrant colors throughout. Everything is very well maintained, and the property is quite large, so make sure to allow enough time to explore it fully. A truly memorable visit — I highly recommend it!

Palacio de las Dueñas was the highlight of my August Bank Holiday break to Seville. It's unassumingly beautiful with a natural elegance and charm, far from the madding crowd. The richly decorated rooms were delightful and the gardens tranquil, interspersed with the gentle flow from the water features. In my opinion, a must see!

Mercado de Triana is a charming indoor bazaar located in the historic Triana district of Seville. The market features a variety of vendor stalls selling fresh produce, meats, and seafood, as well as prepared meals. Built on the site of an old castle, it exudes Andalusian flair and serves as a social hub for locals. Visitors can enjoy tapas bars offering delightful dishes made from the market's fresh ingredients while immersing themselves in the vibrant street life of Triana.
We went to the market in the morning to grab some breakfast. What makes Mercado de Triana special is the mix of traditional market stalls and small bars serving fresh food. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic. Around 11 a.m. it got noticeably busier – so it’s best to come early if you want to explore in peace. The selection of fruit, meat, fish, and vegetables is excellent. If you’re planning to cook, this is the perfect spot to stock up. A great place for food lovers and early birds!

Mercado de Triana – More Tourist Stop Than Traditional Market During our Easter holiday in southern Spain, we took our kids to explore the vibrant culture of Seville—and part of that journey included a visit to Mercado de Triana, a place often listed as a must-see in local guides. However, our experience left much to be desired. As someone who seeks out markets to get a real sense of local life and flavors, I found this stop surprisingly underwhelming. Rather than a bustling traditional market filled with fresh produce, artisan goods, and local chatter, Mercado de Triana felt more like a curated collection of small restaurants aimed at tourists. While the interior is undeniably clean and well-maintained, it lacks the rustic charm and authenticity that make local markets so memorable. Food-wise, prices were on the higher end compared to other spots we visited in Seville, and unfortunately, the taste didn’t justify the cost. Most dishes we tried were quite salty—perhaps a side effect of the sweltering spring temperatures, but still a letdown overall. If you’re looking for an authentic market experience, this may not be the place. For us, it was a quick stop, not a highlight of our trip.

We walked and cross Triana bridge not realizing that there was a Mercado de Triana (not in our itenerary). We are very pleased to find this place and had a great dining experience at Cerveceria Loli. Love their seafood paella. We were lured at their Garbanzos Fritos Con Gambas Al Ajillo Plato (fried chikpeas with garlic prawns) but not a fan. I advise that you order something else when they offer this.

Setas de Sevilla, also known as Las Setas, is a striking and modern architectural installation in Seville. Designed by German architect Jurgen Mayer, it is recognized as the world's largest wooden structure. The mushroom-shaped parasol offers visitors the opportunity to explore an archaeological museum and take in panoramic views of the city from its rooftop walkway and viewpoint.
Very impressed by the structure. Didn't take as long as I thought to walk around the structure. Nice surprise if the film if Seville. Enjoyed the free audio tour describing the different points on the walk. Couple of points to note 1. Entrance is at the south end going down. You'll see lifts going up, go to the side and the entrance to the walkway is down wards. 2. Toilets are in the market area. We went at 10am and it was still being set up. The walkway was quiet, but not much going on beneath 3. Stay and watch the 180 degree video on Seville at the end. It was a good show. 4. My family went in the morning. Come back at night to see the night light show.

We bought our tickets in advance for 22:00 but luckily we were able to change the time of the ticket to see the sunset from here. It was absolutely stunning and nice to have a view from above. Unfortunately we had to leave for another appointment before seeing the light show at night. But if you have time linger around. This was great!

Beautiful view, especially at sunset. We didn’t have to book ahead of our trip, but simply booked online a day before. It was wonderful seeing the historical buildings mixed in with the newer ones. The pathway was very fun to walk and offered many perspectives. The only con was that it’s a tad pricey for a short walk atop the monument.

One of the best parts of my 3 months in Europe traveling!! A beautiful structure you could spend hours looking over the city at. I went at 6:45 after booking an online reservation about 2 days prior due to still being lots of tourists in the area. It was the perfect time! I beat somewhat of the sunset rush, so I could explore the structure and see it during the daytime. Then returned to the main viewpoint to watch the sunset and the lights turn on. It does get extremely busy around sunset, with very little space at the top miradouro. A rooftop bar in the surrounding area would have just as good views with less crowds BUT staying up after sunset allows you to see the lights turn on from the top which is SOO cool. The little film they show at the end is interesting and the theater is well kept with comfortable seating. Well worth the €16 I spent for full admission!
Lexie P — Google review
Love the look of the design and was pleasantly surprised at how well the structure fitted into the surroundings. If you wish to see the sunset, buy tickets at least 2 days in advance. We didn't buy tickets to see the sunset because we bought them 24 hours before, and the first available tickets were at 20:00. This is a good time to see the light show. The light show is with music, and it is a little crowded, but everyone gets a chance to take photos and videos if they wait for a few minutes. You can watch a short movie included in the ticket, and I suggest watching it. You can spend as much time there as you want. It's a must-visit when in Seville.
Monika — Google review
For the price of the ticket, you can enter twice. What's nice is you can go at night as well when they have nice lights on the structure. There's an area where you can watch a short video about Seville which was nice. It gets quite hot so I suggest going either earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. The views are quite nice and the structure is fun. Just note that you can ride an elevator going up, but you can not ride it down unless you have a disability or you're older so you can't go down the stairs easily.

Nestled in the heart of Seville, the Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador stands as a remarkable symbol of the city’s rich tapestry of history and architecture. Originally constructed as a mosque during the reign of Abd al Rahman II, this stunning Baroque Roman Catholic church showcases an impressive array of intricate details and artistic flair. As you step inside, you're greeted by soaring ceilings that create an atmosphere of grandeur, complemented by elaborate altarpieces and beautifully carved sculptures adorning its nave.
Wow! We visited this church after our cathedral visit since it was included in the ticket. What an amazing place, and there were very few other visitors. The intricate carvings are highlighted by colored lights from the stained glass that gradually moved across the walls and floors. There is a crypt area below that details the history of the city and the church which is well curated. Highly recommend!

Impressive interior. Very rich decorations. Water spring underneath the church (in crypt). It would most likely be much more remarkable and popular if it wouldn't be located meters away from Seville Cathedral and Giralda. Think it's very underrated while it have a lot to offer simply because it was the main Seville church between regaining the city from Arabs till funds from America started to arrive, so Cathedral could be rebuilt into its today's shape. If you buy tickets for the Cathedral directly from their website, you won't have to pay for entry. If you done / are about to do guided tour of Cathedral and Giralda, then you'll have to pay 7€ to enter (I don't regret it at all).

This church (especially the museum underneath!) was really interesting. Don't skip the crypt/basement. There is a ton of seating in the church to rest your feet and it was peaceful. Remember to cover your shoulders if you are a woman.

We bought tickets to this church and the Cathedral as the offer was better and ensured a faster entry to the Cathedral, but this building is an amazing attraction in it's own right. The wow factor is apparent at every turn. To compare it with the nearby cathedral I would say the latter is on steroids in size terms, however this church offers much more to the connoisseur of the intricate carvings and decor etc. There is a small museum to rear where many ecclesiastical relics are displayed.

A not to be missed gem. Entry is free with the cathedral ticket. This church is absolutely breathtaking. Good signages everywhere inside.

Absolute must see (its also included if you buy a ticket for the cathedral)

Another must see but underrated Church, magnificently detailed and ornate altars. It's nondescript exterior will leave you amazed as soon as you walk through the front doors. In the basement are the Crips and remains of one of the original mosques that was built thousands of years ago but was torn down and replaced with this church

Nestled in the enchanting Santa Cruz neighborhood of Seville, the Hospital de los Venerables is a stunning baroque masterpiece that invites visitors to step back in time. Established in 1627, this historic building originally served as a sanctuary for elderly and disabled priests. Its architectural beauty is highlighted by an elegant courtyard adorned with orange trees and intricate arches, making it a serene escape from the bustling streets outside.
A beautiful, quiet hidden gem in Seville. My jaw dropped when we entered the church, and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of artwork held in this place. Complimentary audio guide was given to all visitors. Highly recommended.

This is a very cool building with an interesting history. It was a hospital for ailing monks (I think) and has a gorgeous hidden church inside. The courtyard at its center is really pretty and the building houses a small but gorgeous art collection with my favorite piece being the 1600s view of Seville.

So glad we ended up squeezing this in! Such a beautiful venue and tiles to DIE FOR. They've also got a nifty free VR 350 tour experience which was a fun add on. Also the neighbouring plazas are so lovely, it's a sweet area to amble around in. We booked tickets in advance but could have probably got away with not booking. Took around 30-40min to walk around.

Beautiful quiet space away from hustle and bustle of the city, the audio tour is interesting , paintings both medieval and modern, tile work and the chaple are magnificent, even got to hear the organ , no queue.

A nice calm tour experience. Bought tickets there at the entrance (no advance purchase needed). Received an audioguide for English.

Hospital de los Venerables in Seville is a charming and historical site worth visiting. The building is adorned with lovely Baroque architecture that adds a unique character to the place. Its serene courtyards provide a peaceful escape and a chance to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.

Firstly, we went to visit this hospital due to be be less busy than other tourist attractions at the day we were in Seville. However, this former hospital charity for elderly clergy was definitely a lovely surprise added to our visit to Servile. One of the most remarkable aspects of this hidden gem place was that we didn’t have to wait to get in. On our arrival, we were very nicely greeted by excellent receptionists who were both welcoming and knowledgeable. The hospital architecture itself is stunning, with beautifully amenities, and historical features that transported us back in time. We wondered around transitioning from one room to another. It is so easy to walk around that you forget the sense of time looking the historic corridors and rooms. Another highlight, of course, is the collection of paintings; The museum has provided audio guides that explained each room and its paintings in detail, helping us to understand, and appreciated even more the paints. This former charity hospital turned into an art museum is a delightful discovery. In my opinion it is a must visit when in Seville.

If you have time, don't miss it! The Hospital de los Venerables, popularly known as the Hospital of the Venerab of Seville, Spain, is a baroque 17th-century building which served as a residence for priests. It currently houses the Velázquez Center, dedicated to the famous painter Diego Velázquez. It is located in the Plaza de los Venerables, in the center of the Barrio de Santa Cruz and close to the Murillo Gardens, the Seville Cathedral and Alcázar.

Plaza de España is a landmark square in Seville, featuring a large water feature, seats adorned with painted ceramic tiles, and an ornate pavilion. It's a great spot for families to visit, as kids can enjoy exploring the plaza while adults admire its inspiring architecture. To engage children, you can introduce them to the plaza by showing them scenes from Star Wars where it was featured.
What can i say, stunning place, looks like heaven. The azulejos, the towers, the horses, the bridges with boats under, everything perfect. Is a masterpiece that everyone must visit. In there you will find various street artists and see some flamenco as well. This place is better than what you see in the photos, it gives a vibe and freedom feeling.
Naja — Google review
The amounts spent on these construction projects are just mind-blowing. And when you remember how many people lost their health or even died there, it gets uncomfortable. 1. Tourists today admire the marble, the gold, the columns—but for someone, all this cost a life. Nobody remembers the names of the workers, though nothing would exist without them. 2. Sometimes I look at these buildings and think: was all this beauty really worth those sacrifices? For some, it’s a symbol of the nation, but for others, it’s years and strength lost. Honestly, I’m always a bit envious of the architects of that time—to plan something on this scale takes real talent. But at the same time, I feel for those who paid for this “eternity” with their health. I can’t feel just one way about it. The architecture is impressive, but the price was enormous. Sometimes you look at a cathedral and realize there’s a heavy shadow behind all that beauty. What about you? Can you just admire places like these, or do you also think about the price?

Sept 2025. Wow! Time was lost as soon as we arrived. Spent a good part of the day just cruising around this gorgeous place and beautiful parks surrounding it. Was easy to walk around, not hoards of tourists (even though i was one haha). The water and bright green flora just popped colour against the majestic architectural marvel that commands its prescence in a humongous semicircle. There are 52 mosaics with tiles representing each province (i didnt count them to check ok). The beautiful Vicente Traver Fountain is in the centre with bridges crossing the canal, good photo opportunities!! It was also a back drop for Star Wars II. Cool. Rent a boat and bob around the small canals for something a bit different, you may spot some fish swimming happily underneath and ducks nurturing their babies, cute as. Part of the building is used by government institutions too. There were some VERY talented musicians playing underneath/amongst the super grand stairways leading up to some great viewpoints. And when you're done with all the beauty of this place, you can check out a couple of stalls out the front, then walk and embark on another adventure, the grand parks and grounds surrounding this place emersed with its own history and beauty. Great place for fitness and many people running, cycling, walking and chilling. My advice, don't skip this place, its a feast for the soul ;)

Oh my goodness. This is an absolute must to see. Worth coming to Seville just to see this. It's absolutely stunning and photos cannot do it justice. As you walk around it, you get to see yet another photo you just have to take. Can't recommend this more. Also, next to it resides a stunning park with lots of interesting structures or features interspersed within it. I recommend doing a zigzag walk through it to find them all. Made for a very satesfying day

The most beautiful place in Sevil. Better than the whole places I have ignorantly paid to visit 😅 but seriously I was shocked by this much of beauty which is enormous and takes a few hours to enjoy its beauty. A lot of street artists that have performances like Flamenco, music bands, pianists, etc. I wish I had time to spend the day discovering it more slowly. It would be my first destination the next time.
Roya S — Google review
Absolutely stunning architecture. The reason I wanted to come to Seville. It's a massive place with nice water fountains and "canals". A must-see. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 start it's because it doesn't have any public toilets. With so many visitors, you'd think they would have that available. The closest toilets were at the park across, which was closed due to construction.
Katie L — Google review
The Plaza de España is one of the most beautiful squares I have ever seen. The majestic central palace blends seamlessly with the serene water canal, creating a truly breathtaking scene. In front of the square, there is a charming garden that adds even more to the beauty of the place. You can also admire the detailed mosaics, each one depicting the history of a different Spanish city—a wonderful way to explore the country’s heritage in one spot. Best of all, the entrance is free, and I highly recommend visiting if you come to Seville.
Murillo P — Google review
Plaza de España in Seville is one of those places that truly takes your breath away. The scale, the architecture, and the overall beauty of it all are something you have to see in person to fully appreciate. The semi-circular building with its towers, bridges, and tiled alcoves feels like a blend of a palace and a movie set. Every corner has stunning details, from colorful ceramic tiles to intricate carvings. It’s no surprise that it’s been used in films like Star Wars and Lawrence of Arabia. We walked along the canal, crossed a few of the ornate bridges, and just took our time soaking it all in. You’ll see street musicians playing Spanish guitar, couples taking engagement photos, and families out enjoying the space. It’s a perfect mix of tourist attraction and local hangout. If you go, try to visit during the late afternoon or golden hour. The way the sunlight hits the buildings is magical. And don’t rush it. Bring water, wear comfy shoes, and take your time exploring the little tiled benches representing each Spanish province. It’s not just beautiful, it’s a place filled with soul and history.

The Royal Tobacco Factory of Seville, a neoclassical building that once served as a tobacco factory, is now home to the offices of Seville University and features an array of paintings. This historical site opened in 1758 and was the first tobacco factory in Europe, becoming the second-largest building in Spain at the time. The factory employed up to 6,000 workers and had its own chapel and prison.
Gorgeous building with a lot of history. Free to visit. There is a guided tour available which I had wanted to do but it is only available in Spanish.
Pokemon M — Google review
Gigantic old stone edifice, close to old town, easy walk. Main entrance is all white, security on the left, WCs ('retrete') on the right. Gratis. A maze of halls, foyers, stairs (good maps on the wall). It's a working university, classrooms ('aula') and students everywhere so be invisible. Lots of white plaster statues in hallways (for sure copies of something), nice wall art, gorgeous enormous stairs. Interesting machine, 'liadador', for tying cigars. Makes you wonder why a common (tabacco) factory looks like this. Money was no apparently no issue to owners back then. In a way, that's the most amazing thing.
Steven W — Google review
Where the Toreador Song still echoes. The Real Fábrica de Tabacos is one of the most famous buildings of Seville. This enormous neoclassical building was commissioned by the royal family, built between 1728 and 1771 and could accommodate more than 10,000 (mainly female) employees. Most famous employee was Carmen, known from the opera of the same name by the French composer Georges Bizet. She was known for rolling cigars between her thighs. Since 1950 the former factory halls houses the rectorate of the University of Seville. Parts of the building are publicly accessible and even interesting for people who don't like opera.

Would rate this a zero if possible. Complete waste of time. Nothing to see. Whatever remnants of a tobacco factory used to be there are gone and all that remains are university offices. It's a joke that this is on the list of sights to see in the city.
Joe A — Google review
I was looking for this place and then realised it is part of the university now - no need to look for it on purpose, the moment you walk in, the exploratory journey starts. As a historical landmark, there is old vibe that you can smell in the building and it is interesting to think of how Carmen spent her time and life here.
Sheryl Y — Google review
It's the former tobacco factory, converted into a university. It is nice (and free) to walk through the building which is worth it. Other than that it's just a university so students everywhere and not much explanation of the history of the worlds first cigarette factory. If you love cats make sure to take a look in the moat around the factory where there are many!

I wanted to see this place because of its association with Carmen. Its a beautiful building and worth seeing but as it is now the University of Seville, the links to The Royal Tobacco Factory and Carmen have been lost.

The Palace of the Countess of Lebrija is a stunning 16th-century palace in Seville, boasting Arabic-style arches and a charming courtyard adorned with Roman mosaics and sculptures. This historical gem holds the city's largest mosaic collection and an extensive library. The palace features Renaissance-style architecture, elegant interiors with valuable paintings, and intricately carved ceilings.
Beautiful palace. There's a guided tour of the second floor, which if the timing aligns, is very well worth it (not only to see the second floor. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject matter as well, which is always really lovely to experience). No pictures allowed for the second floor but you get to see an extremely interesting collection of objects. The countess not only collected objects from Europe (you see French, English, Portuguese objects; alongside stuff from Spain); but there was a Chinese and a Moroccan room too!
Chelsea — Google review
This house is really beautiful and has many interesting artifacts. I found the ground floor more interesting than our guided tour upstairs, but part of that was because of some really rude and distracting other tourists in our group unfortunately. The bottom level is self guided, and has many books and crannies to explore. No photos were allowed upstairs.
Kailey P — Google review
An absolutely stunning palace-museum, showcasing Roman mosaics and elegant Moorish architectural elements. The collection of artifacts from different parts of the world is both rich and fascinating. The guided tour was exceptionally well done, making the visit even more rewarding. Truly a hidden gem in Seville.

The Palace of the Countess of Lebrija is a stunning Moorish residence. Entry to the first floor is free, but I highly recommend visiting the second floor as well. The upstairs rooms are beautifully preserved and give fascinating insights into the life of the Countess. The true highlight of the palace is its Roman art collection, especially the impressive mosaic floors. A visit here is absolutely worth it!
Murillo P — Google review
Visiting the Palace of the Countess of Lebrija was one of the most fascinating parts of our trip to Seville, and our tour guide, Lucia, truly brought the experience to life. Lucia was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, which made the entire tour engaging from start to finish. She had a wonderful way of weaving together the history of the palace, the remarkable life of the Countess, and the incredible collection of Roman mosaics and artifacts. Her storytelling made every room feel alive with history and personality. The palace itself is absolutely stunning — a hidden gem filled with artistic treasures, beautiful tiles, and an extraordinary blend of Roman, Moorish, and Renaissance influences. But what made it unforgettable was the depth of insight Lucia provided. You could tell she genuinely loves sharing this cultural treasure with visitors. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates history, art, or simply wants to experience something truly unique in Seville. Don’t miss the guided tour — and if you’re lucky enough to have Lucia as your guide, you’re in for a real treat!
Fayyad R — Google review
It’s great if you like Roman mosaics, artifacts and beautiful tile. The contessa was a collector and she bought the 16th century palace in 1901 and spent the next 13 years adding mosaic floors from Italica, tiles from a 16th century convent and collections of all sorts. It is an amazing place, still in the family but primarily a museum.

We just enjoyed a wonderful visit to this beautiful cultural site and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The architecture is exquisite and the private art collection is immensely extensive, displaying artifacts from all across the world. I would highly recommend booking a guided tour of the second floor, which house the majority of the unique collection. Our tour was led by the lovely intern Valerie who did a splendid job making it both educational and interesting. Very grateful for the wonderful experience!

The Flamenco Dance Museum, also known as Museo del Baile Flamenco, is housed in an 18th-century building in Seville. It offers a rich visual display of flamenco history and culture, featuring costumes worn by famous flamenco stars. The museum was opened by renowned Sevillana flamenco dancer Cristina Hoyos and includes interactive exhibitions on the first and second floors. Visitors can also enjoy live performances in the courtyard or basement vault.
The Flamenco Dance Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in the rich cultural history of flamenco! It's the only flamenco museum in the world, and it offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into this amazing art form. The museum, though small, is well-organized and provides fascinating insights into the history and evolution of flamenco. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and offer a great overview of the cultural significance of flamenco. The highlight of the visit was definitely the flamenco show. The performers were incredibly professional, delivering a excellent performance that captured the essence of flamenco. You have the option to attend the show only or combine it with a museum entry, which I highly recommend. Note that taking photos or videos is prohibited during the show. Overall, the Flamenco Dance Museum offers an enriching experience that is both educational and entertaining. A perfect stop for culture enthusiasts!

The Flamenco Dance Museum is a small but fascinating place dedicated to the art of Flamenco. Inside, you can learn about the history of the dance, the music, and some of the most famous dancers and singers. The highlight is the live show, where dancers, singers, and musicians deliver a captivating one-hour performance. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance. It’s definitely worth a visit to experience Andalusian culture and tradition.
Murillo P — Google review
The performers were top notch. The singers and guitar player were very energetic and captivating and the dancers were terrific with beautiful costumes. There were nine acts and each one unique and fun to watch. Since there were no photos allowed during performance, I’ve included a few from the museum. Of course, the actual performers costumes were very colorful and flowing.

Wow, amazing show with great Flamenco dancers, 2 amazing singers accompanied by a great guitarist. Can highly recommend this show, very professional, very authentic. There are 3 shows, we picked the one at 7pm, so we could go to diner afterwards. The show goes an hour. Unfortunately, no photos and videos were allowed, so I could post only some pictures at the end of the show.

Amazing place to experience the true spirit of flamenco. The museum combines history, costumes, and multimedia exhibits that explain the origins and evolution of this art form. An incredibly powerful and moving performance! The dancers at the Flamenco Dance Museum brought so much passion and intensity to the stage — every step told a story. I came to Seville and was happy to be recommended for a flamenco performance, so I made a reservation with a VIP ticket. On the day of the performance, I was standing in line on the first floor, and other people in front of me clearly told me that the VIP customer should go to the first basement floor. At my turn, I showed my VIP ticket, but the staff didn't guide me to the basement even though she read the ticket clearly, and told me to just go to the first floor(general ticket). I was asking that the VIP should go to the basement, but suddenly she didn't answered or apologized at all and called the reservation number of my ticket to the other staff later, and only said, "Ah, I went to the basement." Other VIP customers showed the tickets they had printed out to the ticket staff but none of them called the reservation number like me. I felt this was a kind of racism, and to be honest, it was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The carelessness of the ticket staff hurt my feelings, and I almost regretted buying a VIP ticket. There seemed to be a problem with the employee's attitude, and I don't understand why they don't have a scanning system to check the VIP ticket, or asking me to just go to the general floor only by choosing Asian people. The performance was wonderful, but it was very, very unfortunate and annoyed.
Yyong — Google review
The museum isn’t impressive or special. Should come only for show, but tickets need to buy online. I didn’t know that…On enter was written sold out, so I took wine and wanted to stay close to bar, didn’t use any place. Tablao Flamenco El Arenal is a historic 17th-century Andalusian building located between the cathedral and Guadalquivir River in Seville. It's run by former flamenco dancer Curro Velez, offering high-quality Andalusian cuisine and traditional tapas dishes. The venue features 17 dancers on stage, providing an authentic experience with a mid-range price point.
It was a really good experience! We absolutely adored the guitar and the atmosphere. The clicking and rhythm of the show and dancers was very impressive. The venue seemed to be an older tavern and felt a bit humid but was comfortable. We went for the drink and show option and were sitting at a table with 4 other people. Definitely a must to do in Sevilla !

Super fun time at the Tablao Flamenco El Arenal! - Accommodation was great as we made a reservation but had to make a change the day of that the store accommodated. - We had the full on dinner that was surprisingly tasty given that it was paired with the show. - Show was engaging and the musician + dancer was awesome.

We had the most incredible experience at this flamenco show in Seville. The dancers were absolutely phenomenal — exuding raw emotion, passion, and the intensity that defines traditional flamenco. It was mesmerizing to watch and truly a cultural spectacle that we’ll never forget. The entire performance felt deeply authentic and beautifully executed. The only small downside was the seating — the chairs were quite uncomfortable, almost like sitting on rocks. But aside from that, the experience was amazing and 100% worth the money. We absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Seville!

Percussively explosive show. I'm not a Flamenco expert but this seemed like the real deal. Cool space and good dinner beforehand if you get that option. Not the standard tapas but included multiple fish And meat dishes. Suggest arrive at least 1/2 hr early if getting the dinner.

Santa Cruz, located in the old town of Seville, is a vibrant neighborhood that was once the Jewish quarter. Its maze-like streets and alleys are filled with colorful sights waiting to be explored. Wander through this historic area and immerse yourself in its rich heritage and charming atmosphere.
Staying in the heart of Santa Cruz was truly an unforgettable experience. This historic quarter of Seville is a living storybook — a maze of narrow cobbled streets, hidden courtyards, and sunlit plazas that seem to whisper the tales of centuries past. Each morning, I would step outside into a world filled with the scent of orange blossoms and the soft echoes of flamenco music in the distance. Wandering through Santa Cruz feels like being wrapped in a timeless charm, where every corner reveals a new secret: a tiny café, a lush patio overflowing with flowers, or a centuries-old church bathed in golden light. There is something deeply magical about the way Santa Cruz weaves together beauty, history, and a vibrant, everyday life. Staying here allowed me to experience Seville not just as a visitor, but almost as part of its living, breathing soul. Archaeological museum
The Archeological Museum of Seville, located in a 1920s pavilion in Plaza de America within Maria Luisa Park, houses Andalusia's most important archaeological collection. It features artifacts from the Roman excavation of Italica and showcases the history of Spain through various ruling periods. Notable exhibits include the Treasure of El Carambolo and a Phoenician fertility goddess statuette named Astarte-Tanit.
This is not closed! It is open and showing a cultural display of pottery, local craft working, African artefacts and instruments and you can try some of the modern versions of the instruments out. Free to EU citizens and €1.50 euros for Brits (as we did not contribute enough to the EU apparently). Worth a look as part of a gardens and Plaza de Espana visit. It has toilets. Snacks, ice-creams and drinks available in the gardens.

The museum looks very much closed, the building is a construction site. Don’t understand the good reviews from a month ago. People should change the Google opening times.

Quite nice museum.... The underground floor is more interesting because it has prehistoric founds! It lacks of infos in English! Free entrance for EU citizens (1,5€ for the rests)

Please ignore the review from Richard Pearson - he is referring to the museum opposite. This place is CLOSED. I’ve submitted a suggestion to change the opening hours. While it is a nice walk here, some people might waste precious time on the journey not realising that it is closed. Please do not come if it is out of your way - it is totally shut.

Really interesting and beautifully designed museum. It's a peaceful place with innumerable artifacts. If anything, I felt like there just wasn't enough explanation on many things. Felt like just titles to things and not enough context. There are some truly lovely rooms with great energy of the history and pride of Sevilla.

A great range of sculptures from the anciemt Romans. A lot were found in the nearby ancient Roman city of Italica. Free entry for EU passport holders or €1.50 for everyone else. Definitely worth the visit.

Seville archaeological museum is housed in a beautiful pavilion in the Plaza de America near the Plaza de Espana. Exhibits range from early prehistory through to the Middle Ages with an emphasis on the Roman period, primarily finds from the nearby Roman city of Italica. Many of the mosaics and statuary from Italica found their way to the museum. An extremely good museum as you would expect from the capital city on Andalucia.

Casa de la Ciencia, located in the historic Peruvian Pavilion from the 1929 expo, is a charming science museum in Seville. Despite its modest size, it offers a range of permanent and temporary exhibitions that cater to both children and adults. The museum features displays on Andalucia's flora, fauna, and geology, as well as a planetarium that hosts regular shows suitable for all ages.
The museum is pretty small and not so rich as in other european big cities, but all exhibits are intetesting, and there are many VR and touch screen game stops. I went there with 9-years old boy, and was surprised to discover ať the end that 1.5 hours just flew. Cheap tickets (3 euro), no crowd, toilets and benches on every floor, very nice historical building, excellent location (near Plaza de Espania) - 15 min walk from center. We didn't go to Planetárium (3 euro) as next show was ať 18:00 and we were there around 14:00. So, i would recommed to call in advance and check show times. Probably it requires dark hours.

This is a terrific museum for adults and older teens. The exhibits are almost all in English and included the working of the human brain, photos of earth from space, a fabulous Virtual Reality experience, and mammals of the sea. It was entirely wheelchair accessible including a decent disabled toilet, and ramp or lifts to all areas including the entrance. Also free of charge for disabled people and one carer. We went two hours there in the lovely air conditioned coolness on what was a very hot day. We arrived about 1230 and by 1330 all the children had left and it was just adults - peaceful and interesting.

This was a nice visit while exploring the near by park. The ticket pricing was reasonable for what the museum has to offer. I particularly enjoyed the Cerbro(s) section of the museum. Some parts of it were not translated like individual items within an exhibit but the rest had english translations. Otherwise a nice and short experience.

Nestled in the vibrant San Julian neighborhood, the Monasterio de Santa Paula is a captivating 15th-century convent that offers a glimpse into Seville's rich cultural and artistic heritage. As the first monastery in the city to be recognized as a historic monument, it has been home to cloistered nuns for over five centuries. Visitors can explore its stunning Gothic architecture, adorned with intricate ceramic decorations by Nicolaso Pisano and beautiful azulejos within its chapel.
Astonishing place, old, peaceful, full of highly positive people and atmosphere. Worth to visit in terms of its charming beauty and don’t hesitate buy sweets made by local nuns!

A very kind sister received me at the convent, but a total waste of 6 €. 3 small rooms, with little figures in glass boxes. Nothing that resembles a monastery. The church was so dark, I could barely see the ceiling. I walked over an hour to get here and am so so disappointed

Tour Italica is a Roman archaeological site located just outside Seville, Spain. Founded in 206BC, it was the first permanent Roman settlement on the Iberian peninsula and the birthplace of emperors Trajan and Hadrian. Despite much of its stonework being used to build Seville's grand houses, visitors can explore the vast amphitheatre that once held up to 25,000 spectators, as well as excavated villas with colorful floor mosaics.
A great piece of history a short distance outside Sevilla, well worth a visit.
Carl M — Google review
I'm glad I went. The amphitheare is most impressive. I enjoy ruins and reading a bit about the history etc regardless how much is left of the place so for me it was cool. I had it in my bucket list as extra activity to do if i had time. I was let in for free since I didn't have euros and could not find a spot where I could get change etc so I went back and with some reluctance the man was empathetic and let me in. I was very grateful since i had taken a taxi and didn't want it to be a waste. This was on a Sunday. So heads up, they only take euros no card or USA dollars. I did ask if American money was accepted since during my time in Greece, it was accepted. It took me about an hour and a half to walk the entire area with stopping and reading. It was a peaceful walk and the area is nicely conserved. There are some shaded areas at the beginning, but the rest is not. I did not see any stores inside for water or souvenirs, but they do have bathroooms which I did not use.

The Hermandad de la Macarena is a Catholic church located in the Macarena neighborhood of Seville, Spain. It is renowned for housing the revered jewel-encrusted wooden statue of The Virgin of Hope, also known as La Macarena. This image of the Virgin Mary stands above the principal altar, adorned with gold and silver. The basilica also features modern wall paintings and a chapel with a sculpture of Christ.
Very impressive church, gratis entry, small short tour up and behind the main alter (donations table there). Paintings, murals, stone work all very impressive for a small church. Up in the north end of old town area, 1500m walk from main tourist area.
Steven W — Google review
Good spot for culture and worship. Again to bad that nothing is in English . Make sure you go inside so you could up and take the photos of the Virgin Marie.

Not being as aware of the significance and importance of this church, it was perhaps notes impressive as it is to othts. It's certainly very beautiful and the principal statue / holy icon is very impressive but if you have already visited the Cathedral and Real Alcazar then it may not strike home as much. If your visiting though the 12th century wall and moat and crenellated battlements are very well preserved in a section just starting outside.
Simon R — Google review
This church is a bit away from the main sights of Seville, but I'd highly recommend walking there since it's very nice, very important for the local religious life and the area north of the Setas feels a bit more authentic and you'll also get to see the City Walls and the Andalusian Parliament which are nearby.

We visited many churches in our global travels, but this lovely, small, intimate basilica stole our hearts. Not the grandeur of Sevilla's impressive cathedral but a place of intense peace and tranquility. The sculpture of St.Mary above the altar is one of the most moving statues we have ever seen. Make sure you go through the left door next to the altar and watch the statue in profile. It is a life-changing experience.

A small Basilica housing the Macarena. Beautiful in all ways. Try to visit 10 min b4 the mass (eg 7pm)...you get to see the full glory of the Macarena n the altar with the lights turned on. Makes up for no photo taking allowed in the church.

Hospital de la Caridad, founded in the 17th century by nobleman Miguel de Manara, is a striking baroque building that still functions as a charity. Originally established as a hospice for the poor, it was inspired by Manara's transformation from a playboy to a devoted philanthropist after having a vision.
One of the most interesting places to visit in Seville. The art work is superb, the information on offer is brilliant and the actual history of the hospital is inspiring. Could easily spend an hour in the Chapel alone listening to the descriptions of the paintings and looking around. Must visit for any historian and /or art lover

Of course worth to visit for Murillo lovers. I dont know if there is any other place where you can see so many Murillo paintings in situ. Although some are copies. But the lighting is not very well especially on the large paintings its hard to find a good angle without reflections.

Very nice museum. We primarily came here seeking toilet - which was very nice, including the tiny kids toilet and water fountain for drinking - but then we spent some time in the museum experiencing the exhibition of the old ways of living like a blacksmith, a pottery maker or olive oil maker. Definitely worth stopping when you walk through the park and for Eu members the entrance is free

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this museum. Not only is the building wonderful, the Cultures of the Sea exhibit was so interesting, and the collections and displays downstairs are amazing. A highlight is the workshop displays, assembled with great care and detail. A museum not to be missed by anyone interested in handcrafted goods, the people who create them, and their history.

We just wanted to see the neo-mudejar building from the inside and briefly checked out the museum as well. They house a vast collection of all kinds of crafts and arts of Andalusia. But it's located in a stinky cellar of the building with no sunlight. We walked through the floor very quickly and left ASAP. The entry is free for EU citizens.

Beautiful building left from the 1929 exposition in the mudejar style, surrounded by a pretty park. At the basement the permanent exposition on Sevilla historic crafts and lifestyle. Well organized. At the first floor two temporary expeditions - one on the Sea and local people one on African music - both small and exquisite. Absolutely worth a short visit away from the crowds. And it's 1.50 euros or free entry (for EU).

From pottery and textiles to intricate furniture and musical instruments, the exhibits offer a fascinating look at how the people of Seville lived and worked throughout history. The museum also highlights the importance of flamenco and regional festivals, adding an extra layer of cultural richness. Located beneath the Mercado de la Encarnacion in Seville, the Antiquarium is a subterranean archaeological museum that offers a glimpse into the Roman history of the city. Visitors can explore Roman house ruins, vibrant mosaics, and pottery dating back to ancient times. One of its highlights is the fourth-century villa Casa de las Columnas, adorned with laurel-leaf mosaics.
Well preserved Roman ruins from 200BC. The mosaics, artifacts and written histories are worth a visit. This is a small version of Pompeii, which in an underground and air-conditioned location is very refreshing. This adds a wonderful (an inexpensive) dimension to the visit at La Setas.

An archeological site housed under the modernist looking Setas of Sevilla. It's a very small site of roman ruins and was found while building a parking lot. Ticket price is included in the Alcazar ticket. The juxtaposition of Setas of Sevilla over this roman ruin is totally unexpected IMHO.

Small museum detailing Seville's rich history with well preserved artifacts including mosiacs from the 2nd and 3rd century. Takes around 10 to 20mins to view everything. Entry is included with Royal Alcazar otherwise it is just €2.10. Shame the info boards are not working.
Debbie G — Google review
It's an archeological site that they found while digging for a parking lot. You can access the Antiquarium from the stairs under the Setas of Sevilla. It's a small site where you can see ancient vestiges of the roman empire. You also see Islamic houses with names. Lots of interesting tiles, suspended walls, jewellery, etc. They provide you with a free audio book too if you scan a QR code. If you buy general tickets for the Real Alcazar Seville, the tickets to this place are free.
Salman — Google review
Situated underneath the Setas de Seville (Giant Mushrooms), go past the ticket office for the mushrooms which are down the stairs, underneath the structure, to the back of that area to find the entrance to the Roman ruins. Found while excavating the area, they are fascinating examples of Roman housing, statues, and mosaic floors. It's not a big area but only cost a couple of euros to get in. It was worth a visit if you were already in the area. If you are really interested in Roman ruins, there is a half day trip you can arrange to Italica, and excavated town about 20 mins from Seville where Emperor Hadrian was born.

The Monastery of Santa Maria de las Cuevas is a beautiful, centuries-old building that has been converted into a contemporary art museum. The art on display in the museum ranges from contemporary to ancient, and includes paintings, sculptures, and prints. There is also a small restaurant on site.
I was surprised by how good this place is and only one euro eighty to enter. It's a bit of a walk to get there but it has a bar to grab a drink and a cool interior that is very tranquil and calming as you might expect. It makes for a surprisingly good art gallery as well, all included in the entrance fee.

The exquisitely simple beauty of this monastery is awe-inspiring. This simple beauty forms a timeless background for the fleeting quality of the contemporary art museum housed in the monastery. Really enjoying this place. Free on Saturdays. Not that many tourists. There is also live music events - lots of Jazz etc. When we went there was a great live feminist music festival - very cool vibe
Patrick B — Google review
Severely disappointing. Billed as a contemporary art museum, it isn't. Some poorly curated works by unknown Spanish cartoon book artists, a film about paintings in Amazonia by a British Naturalist and other random elements do not constitute a contemporary art centre. The building is amazing - an old monastery, converted in the 19th century to a tile factory, with the two opposing but somehow complementary architectural vernaculars. The gardens could be amazing- actually, they're sadly very neglected. At least it was free!

Seville is packed full of incredible churches. If you are in the area and fancy spending €4 pop in. It's a quick but spectacular visit. It's now just a museum which, to me lessens the impact. The Macarena church is definitely as good as this without needing to spend €4 You can't go up the to the top of the dome outside which is disappointing
Patrick B — Google review
We enjoyed the church, but also bought tickets for the small local flamenco show next door. Fantastic show, and great to be sitting so close to the performers to really appreciate their skills!
John F — Google review
This takes more time than you might think to visit. The church itself is richly decorated but a little neglected - covered in a very visible layer of dust. The museum contains a good selection of 17th-century art which is well displayed as is the small treasury. For me the star of the visit is a separate beautifully decorated chapel off one of the corridors.

This may not be your planned place to visit if you go to Seville but if you are based in Triana and got the time, do viit the site. The Baroque architecture is just majestic, the art impressive and the gardens stunning. It's very cheap to visit and it'd take you one relaxed hour or 30min quick visit. Do visit the 4 sites! Don't miss the bones in some frames, creepy but breathtaking!

This place is very recommended to visit. This is one of old chapel of the jesuits. This was novitiate before the suppression of the Society. It newly has renovated, so the architecture, art and its history are very beautiful and interesting.

One of the most spectacular Barocco architecture. A special touch was provided by workers there. The lady who worked as a security guard gave us such a wonderful tour guide. This church displaces many saints relics.

The Monasterio de San Isidoro del Campo is a medieval monastery located in Santiponce, near Seville. The town was originally founded around the monastery due to continuous floods along the River Guadalquivir. Built in 1301, the monastery has a rich history and served as a refuge for survivors of natural disasters. The site features excellent repair and restoration, minimal tourist crowds, and stunning surroundings that offer a glimpse into suburban Spanish life.
Beautiful old historical monastery. Where the first Spanish Bible was translated from Latin by the monks. Interesting tile works and ceilings.
Bartley C — Google review
Well worth the visit of this 14th Century Monastery for its rich history, decorative ceilings and walls with tiled features. Easy to get to via the M170A or M170B bus from Plaza de Armas, Sevilla bus station.

A beautiful monastery close to Seville. This building and the art inside captivates and enriches the soul. While the monks no longer wander the halls, their souls can be felt in the cavernous halls and wondrous paintings.

Awesome! At the moment of our visit, we were the only tourists. Very interesting site. Helpful and friendly staff.
Torsten W — Google review
Sevilla, Monasterio de San Isidoro, the Monastery was founded in the year: 1301 by Alonso Pérez and María Alonso Coronel at a site near the ruins of Italica where, according to tradition, San Isidoro of Seville was buried, and since then it has been under the administration of successive religious orders, Cistercians, Hieronymite hermits and the Order of San Jerónimo, who have left their mark both in the construction and in the decoration of the building.
Csaba B — Google review
Considering the theme of the monastery, the visit is rather disappointing: it is a wild mix of styles, most of a moderate artistic level, and in a very bad state. It’s hard to understand, but this was supposedly the first building in the province to be a national monument, before the cathedral, and the Alcazar! On the other hand, it’s on the way from Italica and for free.

Centro Cerámica Triana is a museum located in an old pottery factory, Fabrica de Ceramica Santa Ana, in Seville's vibrant Triana neighborhood. The center showcases the rich history of local pottery through exhibits of hand-painted tiles, pottery, and restored kilns. Its architecture seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary styles while staying true to the area's cultural heritage.
This is. a great museum/gallery to discover more about the history of ceramics in Triana. It is free to enter if you bought a ticket to the palace and only 2 euros, if not. If you are in the area it is worth having a look and won't take too long to explore. I wouldn't necessarily go out of your way to visit if you're not in the area, but if you are, then it's definitely worth looking. Some gorgeous tile work, art history and ceramics inside and out.
Radiate R — Google review
Terrific little museum covering the history of ceramics (tiles, pottery, and more) in the Triana neighborhood over centuries of production. The museum is in a former production facility, so you can see former kilns. Quite inexpensive. Accessibility to most spaces is pretty good. Washrooms are well maintained. April 1, 2025 C & J

Great small museum dedicated to the ceramics industry of Triana. Really peaceful visit on a Friday morning. Much larger than at first expected, well worth the €2.10 entrance fee. Starts with a walk around the ruins of old ceramic works, interesting to see and view videos narrated by people who worked in the industry. Don’t miss out going up to the ceramics display area on the upper level (lift access). The shop is well stocked with items to purchase and take home.
Renny T — Google review
For the modest price it is worth visiting here and seeing the history of tiles and some impressive tile murals from the 20th century. A nice place to visit and you will appreciate the street around you more after seeing this, as well as seeing lots of lovely tiles and places where they were manufactured.

What a great exhibit to learn the history of ceramic making in Triana. It takes time to read through all the literature but take the time. Make sure you head over to the store to buy some pieces. They have from dishes, to statues, to coasters and hotplates.

Informative displays describing the ceramic-making process with signage in English as well as Spanish. Located in an old ceramics factory. Not as many actual ceramics on display as we've seen in other museums. But they were a good representation of ceramics through the centuries. Tickets are low priced. (Admission is actually included with the Real Alcazar tickets, but we forgot!) A good value. An hour was plenty of time. There are at least 3 ceramics stores right next door for souvenir shopping.
Carol H — Google review
An interesting mini-museum going into the ceramic history of Seville. Think of this as several mini exhibitions with posters explaining the history places on the site of the historic kilns. The space in naturally cool and the cost of entry is very low. The small shop at the end has a lovely selection of Seville ceramics. You probably don't need to have gone through the museum to enjoy the shop, but given the low entry price you might as well!

Arco de la Macarena is a striking 12th-century gate located just north of the city center in the Macarena neighborhood of Seville. It is part of the largest remaining sections of the original Moorish city wall, built by the Almohad dynasty. The area around Arco de la Macarena has evolved into a modern and commercially important part of town, housing significant landmarks such as the Andalusian parliament and Seville's oldest market, Mercado de la Feria.
As a monuments is not amazing but your van see the old city wall from there. Or is however a good spot for a quick stop with the car when your need to pick up or drop off people

Part of the visitor attractions of Seville but not so well known. Great arch, medieval walls and church
Andrew L — Google review
Worth a visit to see the 12th century walls that stretch out on one side with the moat and primarywall. The arch in itself isn't so much of a sight but therex are much smaller passages through the wall which are more visually impactive and you can get right up close to see the stonework. The church is obviously just on the left of the wall too
Simon R — Google review
It's a pretty piece of architecture in a pretty area. Major landmark on the north side of the old city, framed by the medieval walls. Well worth the time to head up and visit. If you'd like some spicy drama appended to your cultural experience, Google the fascist general Gonzalo Queipo de Llano who was interred at La Macarena with a lovely little shrine that didn't get relocated until 2018 (!!!). The shadows of the past are long everywhere in Sevilla.
Roberto V — Google review
The church was well worth a visit but the surrounding areas were kind of dirty and dingy. A lot of cafes and restaurants, but none of them I spired us enough to eat there. Central Seville is a lot more welcoming. If you have a lot of spare time, it is worth a visit, but I'd pressed, focus on the Central, historical, area.

Guadalpark, located in Seville, is a family-friendly water park offering a variety of attractions for all ages. From thrilling 90m slides and rubber ring rides to a zip line and a toddlers' area, there's something for everyone. The park also features swimming areas for those looking to relax. Open from 12:00 to 20:00 during the summer months, it's an ideal spot to cool off after a morning of sightseeing.
2 for 1 offer was great. Fast pass and float rental were essential. Not the cheapest family day out but we all had a great time.
Guy W — Google review
Great day out. Recommend buying a fast track day pass €10 each which gives you priority lane access. Also hiring a ring for the day €12 plus €5 deposit which you get back once returned. Otherwise you have to queue for a ring then queue for the ride. You can bring your own picnic and drinks. There are free plastic loungers or you can pay extra for better loungers. Lockers can be also be purchased. Would return.

Metropol Parasol, also known as Las Setas or the Mushrooms of Seville, is a unique and avant-garde wooden structure built in 2011. Its design resembles six large mushrooms or umbrellas, standing out from the traditional Andalusian architecture in Seville. This iconic attraction features a panoramic terrace, a walking path, and an archaeological museum.

Grace — Google review
Beautiful view, especially at sunset. We didn’t have to book ahead of our trip, but simply booked online a day before. It was wonderful seeing the historical buildings mixed in with the newer ones. The pathway was very fun to walk and offered many perspectives. The only con was that it’s a tad pricey for a short walk atop the monument.
Kirsten A — Google review
Unique place. Is the largest wooden structure in the world ans is quite spectacular. Worth the cost to go up and see the old town from it's roof and to do the sensory experience. Relatively cheap as well. Highly recommended
Martin C — Google review
A must for any visit in Seville. Unique design with a great atmosphere. Full of couples and families relaxing and taking life slowly. We booked for sunset walk and stayed for night time lights. Memorable and unique tourist experience. Lots of bars, restaurants and ice cream places nearby.
Bernard C — Google review
For the price of the ticket, you can enter twice. What's nice is you can go at night as well when they have nice lights on the structure. There's an area where you can watch a short video about Seville which was nice. It gets quite hot so I suggest going either earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. The views are quite nice and the structure is fun. Just note that you can ride an elevator going up, but you can not ride it down unless you have a disability or you're older so you can't go down the stairs easily.

Located in a 16th-century courtyard house, Centro Cultural Flamenco "Casa de la Memoria" is a renowned flamenco cultural center in Seville. The venue features nightly live performances by talented students from local schools, offering an intimate and authentic experience for visitors. With its 18th-century patio and small cozy theater, the Casa de la Memoria provides beautiful views of the palace while preserving Andalusian arts.
📍 Casa de la Memoria – Centro Cultural Flamenco | Seville Located in the heart of Seville’s old town, Casa de la Memoria is a cultural venue dedicated to preserving traditional flamenco. Set in a restored 15th-century noble house, the theater features a charming Andalusian courtyard and offers an intimate setting with no sound amplification — just pure, raw flamenco. I booked through GetYourGuide for €44 (two people). Note that the ticket doesn’t include fast-track entry — you’ll need to wait in line, but hand fans are handed out, which helps during warm evenings. The venue is small and cozy, so arrive early to get a good seat. The performance lasted about an hour — perfect for first-timers. The dancers, singer, and guitarist were in perfect harmony, delivering high energy and deep emotion. One of the best flamenco shows for anyone seeking an authentic experience. 💃
Amera A — Google review
Since Seville is in the birth region of Flemenco, watching a show is a must for me during my visit to the city. After compared reviews of several Flamenco venues, I chose Casa de la Memoria for my very first Flamenco experience, and the place didn’t disappoint. The performance hall is a relatively tight space with three rows of seating surrounding the stage. This arrangement allows maximum impact from the performance, both visually and acoustically, not mentioning the amount of strong emotion emanating from the stage. Overall, the show was beyond amazing for a first-timer. The dancers, the singers and the guitarist choreographed seamlessly. Making it hard to believe the performance was completely improvised. We arrived 15 minutes before the performance time and were lucky enough to get in, although sitting in the back corner, on a Sunday. For those who would like front row seating, the host recommends arriving at least half an hour early to secure the desired seating. Highly recommended!
Kris — Google review
This is a must see! Flamenco originated in Seville and there is no better place to see the emotion, talent, energy and spirit of this beautiful art. Arrive early if you’d like front row, but know that the theater is intimate, so every seat provides an opportunity to get the full impact of the performance. The dancers, singers and guitarist were all engrossed in their performances and I took away an unforgettable and authentic experience that truly touched my heart.
Anita V — Google review
This dance and music troupe has amazing rhythm! This was our first experience with Flamenco and we were wowed by the dancing as well as the guitar playing, singing and percussion with their hands and feet (clapping, stomping). They are all so very talented! The dancers outfits are amazing! This is a must see! We thoroughly enjoyed it! Get there early to get good seats -- it's an intimate venue.
Brian B — Google review
Initially we weren’t even sure we wanted to come as we have seen other flamenco shows before, but this was like no other – very dramatic, expressive, and fun. The twirling shawl bit was especially impressive and there were a lot of things I hadn't seen before. Really glad we came! Seating is arranged in a U shape with 2 rows on the ground floor and an upper circle so everyone is close to the action – seats not assigned so just depends on your place in line. On their website I couldn't change the time slots (only 4:30 pm) for some reason so had to use GetYourGuide which had 7:30 or 9 pm shows - with the QR code you get, you must go inside to the ticket office half an hour before the show for paper tickets then join the queue outside. We booked in the afternoon for the last few tickets left so probably best to book ahead as there aren't that many seats at this venue. No photos during the show but the last few minutes of the hour all the performers appear on stage for photos.
J Y — Google review
Incredible, phenomenal and breathtaking performance! I highly recommend everyone to view this piece of art!! Goosebumps guaranteed! The setting is intimate and the audience get fully involved in the performance! The vocals, guitar and the dancers are just outstanding! 5 stars all the way!
Ajith P — Google review
Great and professional act. We were impressed by the fast footwork of the man dancer. The atmosphere was very intimate due the size of the venue. You cannot record or take pictures during the show which is understandable.
Tefmuh — Google review
If I would recommend 3 stars it's because of the artists, but the show despite the dancers was not a good experience. Tip: Even if you see a line remember walk straight to the tickets front desk as no matter if you booked online you'll loose your spot in the line if you as me will go alone. The guitar solo was good but not great. If you would like to try another, you might not regret doing so.

The Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, located in a 13th-century monastery in Seville, Spain, offers a unique blend of historical architecture and contemporary art. The museum showcases diverse collections of modern paintings and sculptures, providing visitors with an immersive experience in the world of cutting-edge art. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the center hosts workshops, concerts, and events that cater to both established and emerging artists.
One of the most sereal experiences. Truly unforgettable. One of the best Art Centres we've ever been to! Remarkable. The film by Amie Siegel, which we watched in it's entirety was absolutely incredible. We're so happy to have come! Thank you!

This is one of the coolest art museums I've seen. Set in an old monastery which was a ceramics factory at some point too, it combines the old and the new, the contrasts, in an amazing way. With several exhibitions and large gardens, in a very quiet setting, it's truly an experience you shouldn't miss. Just keep in mind to bring plenty of water, as the cafe was closed when we visited and the outside area is very nice to walk around too.
Andrada F — Google review
Sevilla's greatest hidden cultural gem, hands down. CAAC is a (mostly 18th century) royal convent, turned industrial production site, turned modern art museum. The juxtaposition of the cutting-edge (and deftly curated) exhibits against the backdrop of a beautiful monastic setting in stately disrepair is unlike anything else you'll encounter in this city. But wait, there's more! It's never crowded, exhibits are rotated several times a year so there's always something new to see, and admission is dirt cheap: somewhere between €1.50 and free, depending when you visit. The grounds themselves are also well-kept and landscaped and serve as a lovely place to watch the sun go down. This is my number one favorite spot in the city when I need to restore my mental energies. Hopefully this review will make it yours, as well!
Roberto V — Google review
Beautiful, relaxing place on a large site. Lockers for small bags, plenty of toilets. Entry was 1€60 and would definitely recommend.
Mark A — Google review
Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo is a spectacular space for a modern art museum. As a 12th century Carthusian monastery later turned into a 19th century tile factory, it is a space that witnessed the passage of time and you can see it and feel it in every corner. We were lucky to be there for Amie Siegel: Quicksand, a survey of her work that explores how time gets imprinted in material. Her film on the relationship between labour, nature and capital was playing in the church and had such an immersive quality that we sat there watching it for an hour till the museum officials threw us out because the museum was closing. With its resplendent gardens dotted with art pieces like Curro Gonzalez's Gate of Fame, it is a lovely refuge from the Seville afternoon sun. We felt like a couple of hours didn't do justice to the museum. We can't wait to go back to explore more!
Kumar A — Google review
This is a genuinely interesting exhibition space and I'd highly recommend going if you are interested in contemporary art (or old buildings that have gone through multiple iterations!). The exhibition space is extremely well laid out (with some strange quirks like exceptionally steep stairs to the occasional crypt) and the exhibitions that were on when we visited (mid Oct '25) were well worth the visit. Some of the curator's text commentaries did appear to have missed the artist's original intention, but if you judged galleries by this, most would struggle! Once you have finished viewing the art there is a very pleasant tapas bar with music playing in a courtyard, which is more expensive than average for Seville, but delightful if you are visiting from out of town. Overall deeply enjoyable - think more exhibition space than "lots of 20th century art" and if that appeals, you'll probably really enjoy your time.
Liam G — Google review
Fascinating architecture and building. Began as a monastery, was then a porcelain factory, and is now a stunning modern art building. Not overly busy, had a spectacular exhibition, and was curated beautifully. Highly suggest!

A very beautiful building, and some very good art on exhibition while we were there. A little out of the way perhaps, but it was easy and cheap to get a taxi here. Worth the effort. La Casa del Flamenco - Auditorio Alcántara is a 15th-century home turned flamenco theater located in the heart of the atmospheric Jewish quarter, Barrio Santa Cruz. The venue offers intimate nightly shows with authentic heel-kicking dancers and powerful musicians, all performed without microphones or amplifiers to showcase natural acoustics. The historical palatial residence features a beautiful pillared patio where the audience sits on three sides, creating an immersive experience for guests.
Fantastic show! So full of talent and emotion. Every performer was very invested in the show, and obviously a professional of many years. The performance space is intimate, and there is no attempting to sell drinks or food, just a pure flamenco experience. Fabulous location with lots of eateries and shops in the area. An easy walk from our hotel near Real Alcazar.

An unforgettable experience at La Casa del Flamenco! The dancers, singers, and guitarist were all incredibly talented and passionate, each one just as impressive as the next. It was my first real introduction to flamenco, and I absolutely loved it. The melodies and rhythms stayed with me all evening, and I left feeling truly moved. A beautiful and intimate show, highly recommended!

Authentic flamingo dance and music! It’s a very small and intimate crowd. Different show cases of flamingo traditional music and dance, duos and solo performances it runs for 1 hour. The performers are amazing you can feel the soul in the music and the love for their culture! 12/10 experience cannot miss! Tickets are $25 euros/per person, cheaper than a lot around. We bought tickets the same night

Great traditional Flamenco experience. Came highly recommend by local guides. Very intimate small theatre. Singers were great, dancers fantastic (such passion in their dancing) and the guitarist was simply phenomenal. 1hr show - great to experience such a special traditional performance

Fabulous performance! the attunement of the group to one another was nothing short of amazing. La Casa is all about the performance, no unnecessary frills, and completely captivating. Highly recommend

Very beautiful show with such talented dancers, singers and guitarist. We enjoyed a lot the show and the place, that turned out to be a very old house. Might say that I found the rule of not recording a bit annoying, didn’t see the need to be that strict considering we are paying quite a bit (25euro) and also the costumes were a bit basic. A part from that it was all good!

Fantastic show. Had no idea what to expect. We arrived at 6:50 for the 7pm show and were sat on the second row but the view was fine. Before I went I was concerned I would get bored at an hour long show but before I knew it they were finishing, it went by so quickly as was captivated by the dancers and musicians. The intro at the beginning was also very helpful as I learned about the history of flamenco and how performances are put together. I was grateful for the no phone rule but it was appreciated they let you take a short video at the end.

Located in the heart of the Bario Santa Cruz, this intimate setting is ideal. We thoroughly enjoyed this show. The dancing, singing, and oh yes wonderful guitar playing! So passionate! A wonderful memory.

Another great, free walking tour! I always take one on my first day in a city I haven’t visited before. A great guide, informative, interesting and with humour too! Gracias - a lovely first impression of beautiful Sevilla ! Mark

We were a family group of 8 who joined the trip and my mum had mobility issues and was in a wheelchair. It was a large group but our guide kept was all captivated by his enthusiasm for and love of Seville. He entertained us with historical stories of the diversity of Spain’s culture and influences and left a lasting impression as to how it was influenced by its Muslim, Jewish Christian and gypsy past. There were a lot of dates and historical facts which were probably too much for one tour and the tour would be no less impressive if there were less dates and specifics. But a wonderful fun and informative tour and a great way to start a weekend trip to Seville . I highly recommend this guide.

Water park
Agua Mágica Sevilla is a refreshing water park located next to Isla Mágica, offering a perfect escape from the scorching summer heat in Seville. With its beaches, wave pools, water slides, and dedicated kids' zones, it's an ideal spot for families and thrill-seekers alike. While Seville may be far from the coast, Agua Mágica provides a beach-like experience with its wave machine and ample facilities.
A very fun day out! Since Sevilla doesn’t have sea, we spent one hot day of our holiday there. The staff were nice, and the facilities were great! The wave machine is insane, very strong! The food was also great, not cheap but not too expensive for burgers and chips, around €13. A nice refreshing and relaxing thing to do on a boiling hot day! Also seemed like a great day of fun for families with kids - loads of water slides and activities.
Em G — Google review
Aqua park itself is pretty small and the waiting lines can get pretty long, but overall I enjoyed the day spent here a lot. Reasonable prices for a day stay in the whole area!
Katrin H — Google review
Took my daughter to Agua Mágica and we both had a great time. It’s not a luxury place and there are things you could pick at, like it’s not the cleanest and a lot of people were smoking even though I thought it was meant to be a no-smoking area. Maybe it just wasn’t being enforced. That said, none of it took away from the fun. The atmosphere was lively, there was plenty to do, and my daughter loved it. We left happy, and I’d go again.
Jay K — Google review
We needed a reprieve from the heat in Seville and this was it. It is not huge but has everything you need for a day out with the kids. We have two teens and we had a great time. Easy to navigate, most lines were less than 5 mins some up to 15 mins. Rides can’t be compared to some of the bug parks but still lots of fun. The staff were great, pleasant and helpful. Food was typical park food, Hot dogs and pizza were good and prices a little higher than outside but good for a theme park. We paid on line before hand for the “hammocks” loungers, we arrived at about 12.30pm, there were plenty available and we settled in. Later in the afternoon they were nearly. All taken, so get there early. Lockers were also easy to use and worked well. We had a great day, it’s a typical water park with a good variety for young and old, no crazy queues, I highly recommend for a fun day out of the heat. The reviews I read before I went nearly made me not go, I don’t understand some people’s expectations, it was so much better than the reviews and one of my best watermark experiences. The teens had a great time too.
Michele B — Google review
Not an amazing experience. The lockers. You have to pay €3 for a teeny tiny locker. This locker has a 6 digit code, which I guess you’ll just have to remember when you want to re-open it?? Sorry but that is crazy to me. Then the hammocks/loungers. There is no place at all to just sit down, other than restaurant chairs and these loungers. Which means if you would like to lay down anywhere at all in the park, you HAVE to rent a lounger which were €7 per lounger. What the actual…. The slides were pretty fun. Although I fell out of my swim ring/float in one of them after it just flipped over in the middle of the slide. Luckily just a little bruise on my knee and elbow. And no I’m not overweight or too light for these slides. The sand is very annoying and it’s unpleasant to walk around on your bare feet because there is sand everywhere on the tiles (not like thin beach sand, this stuff hurts on your feet). The waves in the main pool are cool, that was fun. Also the red/yellow slide with the funnel was a fun experience. All in all not a very good experience. Very expensive for what you get (it’s not big) and it seems that they are trying so badly to take money from you in every imaginable way possible.
Hamoud J — Google review
It’s a nice way to cool off more so than the water rides in the actual theme park it’s located inside- but every ride process is completely disorganized and confusing when it comes to figuring out where to retrieve the necessary item to ride. Just have to bumble around and figure it out, which we were able to do okay. Be sure to buy access to the park ahead of time, and also just pay the €10 for a hammock/shade structure (also cheaper ahead of time), otherwise there is no free shade/chairs/storage. We saw people sheltering in the ditch areas near the fence that hadn’t purchased one, and more expensive to do when there. The workers were mostly rude to any foreigners, regardless of our ability to speak the language and trying to be kind. The food was awful, we paid €30 for 2 burgers and both were cold and totally raw- came with no condiments unless you paid. We brought it back to the counter and chalked it up to a loss. Isla Mágica is way better managed and is definitely worth the price, the water park was nice to cool off but we were very disappointed otherwise.
T L — Google review
It was fine. We went into it not expecting much after reading some of the bad reviews. But it was pretty well organized and our six year old had a great day. There are plenty of life guards watching very closely. Of course the slides had long waiting times (it will take longer than you expect when you see the line).
Martin B — Google review
Would give it 0 stars if I could. Upon arrival we were told to purchase our tickets online because it was cheaper, went away and did this. Went to pay for a locker but were told there were none inside and the ones outside were taken so we had to give our backs to staff for them to store and we were only allowed to comeback 3 times to get things in/out. We asked them what we are meant to do as our tickets were on our phone after being told to buy them online and there is nowhere safe for us to leave our stuff actually in the park. They just shrugged. We asked somebody else if they sold water proof phone cases inside and they did. So we got into our swim stuff and gave in our bag. We walked into the park and staff wouldn’t let my boyfriend in without his top. We then queued 15 minutes just to get his top. Got his top and were allowed in. Purchased a waterproof phone case and we thought we were finally going to enjoy the water park! Upon walking into the water park (a double entrance) we were turned away because we didn’t have shoes on. Where are we meant to leave our clothes and shoes if there is no where to store them?! After this €68 for the tickets, $3.50 for bag storage, €8 for parking we decided to leave the water park. Not to mention it was full of kids on school trips with no adult supervision constantly pushing in with the queues. A day of our holiday wasted and $80 down the toilet plus the cost of petrol!

Not Just a Tourist (NJAT) is more than just your average tour company; it’s an immersive experience that connects you with the heart and soul of Seville. While they offer traditional tours showcasing the city's iconic landmarks, their true expertise lies in guiding travelers off the beaten path to uncover hidden gems and local secrets. Whether you're interested in hiking through scenic landscapes or learning to whip up authentic Spanish dishes in a private home, NJAT tailors experiences to suit your desires.
I hired a private driver through Not Just a Tourist to drive me from Sevilla to Granada. On the way, I stopped in Ronda and explored the city for 2 hours. My driver, Daniel Fernando, made sure I knew where to go and he suggested a delicious restaurant for snacks. After Ronda, we drove to Caminito Del Rey so that I could hike. It was gorgeous, highly recommend. Daniel Fernando was very communicative and was kind and helpful. He taught me about the plants, trees, crops and geological markers along the way. I highly recommend booking a private tour and customizing it to your interest. I feel like this was the absolute best use of my travel day! It was one of my favorite days in Spain!

We had such a memorable day with Not Just a Tourist! It started with horse riding in Doñana National Park, which was really beautiful and the horses are well looked after. Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling well, but our guide Carlos was unbelievably kind—he personally assisted me to the hospital and even took me to the pharmacy to make sure I felt better so we could continue the day. His care and dedication really went above and beyond. In the afternoon, we explored the chapel and the Alcázar with Sara. The sights themselves are breathtaking, but what made it so special was Sara’s excellent knowledge and engaging way of sharing history. We ended the day with a Flamenco and tapas tour led by Constanza, which was the absolute highlight of our evening! She created such a fun, vibrant atmosphere and gave us an unforgettable taste of Seville’s culture. Not Just a Tourist truly delivers unique, well-organized experiences with guides who genuinely care. Highly recommended!

We had a full day tour of Ronda, Setenil de las Bodegas and Zahara de la Sierra, starting in Malaga and ending up in Seville. My email communications with Not Just a Tourist gave me a lot of confidence in the organization and their pricing was very reasonable. Joan was our guide and he was terrific. He was friendly, kept up the conversation, was knowledgeable about what we were seeing and made sure we had a great time. We had considered driving ourselves but quickly realized that part of these drives was not for the faint of heart.

I can’t say enough positive things about Not Just a Tourist!! I found them when searching for travel options between Granada, Sevilla, & Lisbon. From the get-go, the owner Mahsa was prompt and organized, answering all my questions about private transfers and suggestions for daytime excursions. Pricing was very reasonable and the service was excellent. We ended up booking several private tours with them, including tours of the Alhambra in Granada, Mezquita in Cordoba, tapas & flamenco show in Sevilla, and wine tasting in Évora during our transfer to Lisbon. Private transfers were in very comfortable SUVs and offered a unique chance to see the gorgeous countryside. All of our guides were on time and well prepared, contacting us the day before via WhatsApp to confirm our tour details. THANK YOU to our guides Joan, Costanza, and Laura for the amazing time — you all were both professional and fun, and really made us feel so welcome in España!!! ¡Muchísimas Gracias!

We shared a visit to Sevilla with two of our teenage nephews, as it is one of our favorite places in Spain. We have taken several walking tours in Sevilla over the years and this half day tour with Reme was exceptional! Her knowledge of the history of Sevilla, local customs, and best places to enjoy food and drinks were exceptional. (And appreciated!) On top of her impressive knowledge, Reme was skilled at keeping all of us engaged by asking and answering questions throughout the tour. Thank you for providing all of us with a memorable tour experience!

NJAT was super professional confirming logistics and details up to one week prior to our Cordoba tour. They confirmed and reconfirmed which was really helpful. Three days prior, Carlos emailed us directly and confirmed our time/day for pick-up. Carlos was an exceptional guide (& driver) for our private day-tour of Cordoba. Here’s how Carlos created a remarkable experience: 1)Sharing his genuine passion and curiosity of Andalusian history and culture in an entertaining and informal way. 2)Focusing on your interests and priorities during the tour. Definitely not a “one tour fits all” experience! 3)Not “over” curating your experience - Carlos was really terrific about offering independent time &/or options and built in time for us to wander/explore while ensuring we were comfortable and confident on our own. We will absolutely return to book with NJAT with Carlos as our guide! Thank you for a 5-star adventure, Carlos. We can’t wait to return!!

I highly recommend Not Just a Tourist. We used their private transfer from Granada to Seville with stops in Ronda, Zahara, & Sentenil. Mahsa was very helpful with setting up the details. Our driver/guide Joan is a definite asset to this company. He was personable, knowledgeable, and willing to answer our many questions. He even took us to a great local restaurant away from the crowded touristy area. Very comfortable van for our party of 6 adults. Would 100% use Joan and this company again. Well done!

Being near Panama and the Pacific north of South America, I had the opportunity to learn about the services and routes offered by Not Just a Tourist, so we put as a nearby destination Gibraltar and some areas of northern Morocco, after a few months my wife and I made the trip and frankly the accompaniment the Not Just a Tourist has been unbeatable, clear reservations and efficient care, fully recommended the south of Andalusia and Morocco visit by the hand of this company, to repeat. We are planning in less than 6 months to take some of the other routes offered by NJAT, we are going to travel by motorbike and we are planning a great route through Spain. thanks Not Just a Tourist!!!

Nao Vigía: El Globo de Sevilla offers a delightful experience for 12.5 euros, providing an opportunity to ascend 150 meters in a helium balloon and enjoy panoramic views of the entire city. The approximately 15-minute experience is recommended by visitors, who praise the friendly staff and the overall pleasantness of the activity. Additionally, for a small supplement with park entrance, one can also enjoy a hot air balloon ride with stunning views of Seville.
Great views of the city and surrounding area.

(Translated by Google) We bought the Nao Vigía ticket along with the Isla Mágica ticket. The website explains that Isla Mágica opens at 11:00 a.m. and that if you buy the Balloon ticket, you can enter an hour early, board the first flight at 10:00 a.m., and be in the park before everyone else. We arrived at 9:30 a.m. to queue, planning to get on at 10:00 a.m., but a worker didn't show up until 10:20 a.m., telling us that there wouldn't be any ticket windows until 10:30 a.m., and at that time, we'd be put on the Balloon ticket first. In the end, we got on at 10:45 a.m., a quick 10-minute ride, but it was still a nice experience. When we got off, it was 10:55 a.m., and we entered Isla Mágica at the same time as everyone else because they made us wait for it to open. There was a long wait, which had nothing to do with what they sell you on the website. Nestled in the serene basement of the Royal Alcazar Palace in Seville, Spain, lies the enchanting Baños de Doña María de Padilla. This small yet remarkable bath is steeped in history, linked to the romantic tale of King Pedro and Lady Maria de Padilla. The secluded setting boasts stunning stone arches that reflect on the tranquil rainwater tanks, creating a truly magical ambiance.
It was really hard to find where this was located - clearly, I hadn't done my research thoroughly! Recommend to come early in the morning (9:30 am) if you plan to recreate the Game of Thrones Dorn scene 😅

Salón de Embajadores, also known as the Hall of Ambassadors, is a stunning and ornate hall located within the Seville Alcazar's Mudejar Royal Palace. This historic space was once used for official receptions and housed a beautiful throne. The hall features lavish decoration, exquisite porcelain and plaster work, and intricate depictions of Gothic and Renaissance themes throughout.
This is one of the must visit landmarks in Spain. The entry is not for free, you have to buy the tickets in advance. They could be unavailabe on arrival. The restriction of the tickets makes the place uncrowded. As long as I know the king of Spain still has it as his own residence when visiting Seville.

The Hall of Ambassdors, where Don Pedro would receive visting dignitaries which is why its one of the most spectacular rooms/ spaces you are likely to see anywhere, and definatley the highpoint of The Alcazar. Very bad experience, our ticket was for 11:30, and the inner court had to check in at 11:15, so we had to arrive earlier. But the guard didn't let us in until 11:20. It was totally too late. It was all too late. It was really bad.
Yi J — Google review
A very impressive space. Lots of intricate scrollwork and geometric details executed in stucco and wood. The room feels both light and delicate, almost fragile due to the subtlety of detail that looks almost like lace. On the negative side the room is not huge and it is literally besieged by tourists so there is very little chance that you can experience its beauty alone.
Bobby C — Google review
One of the most impressive rooms in the palace! If you want to see some amazing craftsmanship, look up. The ceiling is incredibly detailed. It’s no surprise this was once the throne room of King Don Pedro I, when he would meet with important people, particularly international heads of state and ambassadors. The hall is an embodiment of Mudejar style, a form of architecture created in Spain that was heavily influenced by Moorish culture. While the interior and exterior have visible Moorish influence, it was in fact that Christians that built this hall, but they added Renaissance and European features to this palace.

The eco-boat is rather slow (we were frequently overtaken by rowers), the information is rather generic and since it goes so slow, it doesn't cover much ground (or water in this case); which leads to not seeing many different things in the time spent on the water. It was however a relatively relaxing experience in the end and the price was fair for what you got, therefore not a complete rip-off.

Not worth the money. The pre-recorded commentary wasn't in sync with land marks and even the landmarks were quite distant. The only good part was breeze on upstream, which was very refreshing in heat.

Meeting point a little confusing, it is away from other meeting points and is poorly marked. However, the trip along the river was informative, with English commentry and enjoyable.

Ok trip but it’s pot luck if you’re put on a bigger boat with a bar and toilet. We also departed late and returned on time meaning our trip was about 40 minutes as opposed to the advertised 60. Not bad for €12.50 each but nothing to write home about.

Beautiful and comfortable cruise and super clean too!
Teena M — Google review
Really enjoyable cruise along the river, the boat was really spacious so able to move around and take plenty of photos.
Jayne B — Google review
A smooth gentle ride along the river on a small electric boat.
