El Retiro Park, one of the largest parks in Madrid, was previously owned by the Spanish Monarchy. This 19th-century park features a boating lake, rose garden, numerous fountains, and statues.
This park is amazing and beautiful. Even with the several hundreds of people walking around, it didn't feel crowded. The park has so many quiet spaces to just relax and soak in the day. Love the little boats you can hire on the lake, very romantic.

A Peaceful Oasis in the Heart of Madrid – El Parque del Retiro I visited El Parque del Retiro on October 13, 2025, and it was an amazing experience. The weather was perfect — sunny, warm, and surrounded by the beautiful autumn colors of the trees. This park is truly a peaceful oasis in the center of Madrid, full of history, nature, and charm. During my visit, I explored the fountains, the Estanque Grande (the large lake), the elegant Palacio de Cristal, and even the Jardín Escondido, a lovely hidden garden full of calm and beauty. You can easily spend hours walking around, renting a bike or scooter, or simply relaxing and enjoying the scenery. I brought a picnic with Iberian sandwiches, fresh fruits, and dessert — a perfect way to spend the afternoon. The entrance is free, and I recommend visiting in the late afternoon to enjoy the magical sunset views over the lake. The park’s location is excellent, close to the Puerta de Alcalá, making it easy to explore the nearby area as well. Whether you go with family, friends, or on your own, El Retiro is an unforgettable place to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of Madrid.
WILINTON V — Google review
A trip to Madrid is incomplete without a visit to the Retiro Park. It is so vast, peaceful and with surprises at every turn that you can spend hours just absorbing the different vibes of mother nature. We saw the beautiful birds, some rare foliage and a nice lake / water body where people could do rowing. There is a beautiful blend of nature with history as the palace and corridors of ancient sculptures adorn this park. Some cute cafes too and lots of enthusiastic visitors jogging or walking along, friends chatting on the benches and lovers too. Would highly recommend that you keep time for this place on your holiday to genuinely recharge your batteries.
Oofrish C — Google review
This park is one of the prettiest spots in Madrid! Huge green spaces, beautiful trees, and so much to see. I like strolling by the Crystal Palace, through the big trees, and then stop by the big lake where I can rent a rowboat. Perfect for a walk, picnic, or just relaxing in the sun. Take in consideration, it can get busy on weekends, but there’s always a nice vibe with street performers and locals hanging out.bI love this gem of nature, so I always try my best to stay close to the park when I visit Madrid. If you’re visiting, stay nearby in Atocha station, east of Sol, or south of Salamnca neighborhoods.
Ahmed A — Google review
A really beautiful park in the middle of the city easily accessible with the metro too. It's massive and there's a lot to explore, you can find lots of people but at the same time many spots in the park with more silence if you prefer that. Highly recommend going here.
RV — Google review
Once part of a royal retreat in the 17th century, El Retiro Park is now Madrid’s green heart—perfect for walking, rowing on the lake, or relaxing under the shade of century-old trees. The Crystal Palace and Rose Garden are must-sees, especially at sunset. Free to enter and full of art, fountains, and street performers, it’s a serene escape from the city’s buzz and a place where locals and travelers blend beautifully with nature.
Murat K — Google review
It’s a lovely and lively park. There were some excellent musicians playing throughout the park and lots of people but plenty of room to enjoy. We would have enjoyed a boat ride but didn’t have time. We were disappointed that the crystal palace is under renovation and covered.
Jan B — Google review
Gorgeous park with a beautiful lake and fountain. You can rent a canoe to go around the lake, or you can just walk the beautiful grounds. They have a strip of food places that are very nice. It is a great place to relax and take in the beauty of nature.

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is a must-visit for football enthusiasts and Real Madrid supporters. With an 81,000-seat capacity, it has been the home ground for legendary players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, and many more. Visitors can take self-guided tours that offer panoramic views of the stadium, access to the presidential box, press room, dressing rooms, players tunnel, and even the pitch. The tour culminates in the impressive trophy exhibit.
I was in awe of this magnificent building. It's metallic outer structure and sheer size is a sight to behold even though you are not a Real Madrid or football fan. Do visit the new flagship Starbucks shop which has a great view of the stadium on its second floor. The mega shop has tons of choices for jerseys, apparel and souvenirs. A must visit if you are in Madrid.
Meng Y — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to the Bernabéu Stadium, and it was such an amazing experience! Super lively and very clean. Getting in was quick with almost no wait (we arrived about 15 minutes after it started). The stairs were a bit of a climb, but thankfully there are escalators! Overall, a really fun and memorable experience — definitely worth visiting!
Farnaz A — Google review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “Santiago Bernabéu – the temple where dreams come true… and the hopes of visiting teams quietly die.” Great stadium: huge, modern, shines like a spaceship. The atmosphere is loud enough to crush the self-esteem of any away team within ten minutes. Security is friendly but has the look of people who’ve seen everything – including fans who mentally switched to airplane mode after the third goal. Food? Typical stadium stuff: expensive, but at least the beer tastes like hope. Seats? Usually great – unless you get the guy who celebrates every goal like he just won the lottery. Conclusion: A beautiful stadium. Perfect if you love Real… or bring a touch of masochism as an away fan.
José T — Google review
One of the best stadiums in the world! The tour was incredibly detailed and well-organized. it took around 2–3 hours to complete, and every minute was worth it. Truly one of the best experiences I hav ever had!
Abdul M — Google review
Took the bernabue tour which cost 35 euros per person and felt like it could’ve been cheaper. The stadium was having an event so they didn’t let us stay inside past 10 minutes or so. The whole tour is an immersive experience, the history is well elaborated so even someone who isn’t a fan can connect and appreciate the journey that the team has had. The architecture is appreciative. An entire section is also dedicated to real madrid city.
Parul — Google review
As a American coming here, it was truly a great experience! The Spain crowd was curious and interested. The Stadium really gave off that “big” feeling being that there were so many seats taken. For a NFL international game I feel like it could’ve been more functional getting in and out of the game, transportation, etc. but I guess there isn’t much you can do when you have 80,000 trying to cram in the small metro. Experience was great would highly recommend!
Andrew613 — Google review
Traveled to Madrid for as my favorite football team were playing the Dolphins on my birthday. We lost, unfortunately. However, the stadium was beautiful and packed. Everyone were so nice. Not sure when I would be able to get back, but I enjoyed my time there.
Nicole C — Google review
Amazing stadium design let down by the organisation. Visited for the NFL game and there was no organisation or direction for fans arriving. Police moving through on horseback using aggression to form queues. The food and drink we got was reasonably priced for a stadium but they had either sold out or not stocked any hot food before kick off. Ended up we only got crisps that cost €5

The Royal Palace of Madrid, an 18th-century ridge-top palace, is a must-visit for its grandeur and historical significance. While it's still the official residence of Spain's royal family, it's more about exploring the palace's history and the country than catching a glimpse of royalty. With over 3,000 rooms including the Royal Kitchen, Royal Armory, Painting Gallery, and a Hall of Mirrors reminiscent of Versailles, there's plenty to explore inside.
Such a beautiful place. Make sure you visit with a tour. So much beauty and history in one place. The sheer size of this place will blow your mind. The interior is something I've never seen before and would recommend it to anyone who visits Spain.
Jason C — Google review
You can tell they spared no expenses building this palace. The rooms seem to get more and more elaborate as you get deeper into the palace. Its a good experience to see a modern day palace. The lines were long during a weekday afternoon. There was a line for ticket holders and non-holders. I was part of a tour group that had skip the line so I can't comment on the wait. There are free lockers for you to store your backpack. The restrooms are only at the exit beside the gift shop. Warning that once you enter the gift shop or bathroom, you are not supposed to reenter the palace. There will be a guard stationed by the gift shop entrance to stop you from reentering. However, I have seen people ask the guard to use the restroom and be allowed to reenter. Just make sure you ask first.
David — Google review
What an incredible experience! Stunning!! I’m so glad I visited while in Madrid. Each room is luxurious and unique in its own way. I did the self-guided tour on a weekday and did not buy tickets in advance.
Lindsay J — Google review
Stunning! Definitely book in advance. Even if you've been before - as we have 10 years ago - the added museum gallery is exceptional (it's jam-packed with incredible things - what a superb bonus that was!).
Mike B — Google review
The Royal Palace of Madrid is absolutely stunning and one of the most memorable places I visited. The interior is magnificent—each room feels like stepping back in time, filled with beautiful details and history. Photos are allowed, which makes the visit even more enjoyable since you can capture the incredible architecture and decor. The staff were polite and helpful, and I appreciated that service dogs are allowed inside with proper documentation. I would recommend booking a tour and skipping the line—it saves time and makes the experience much smoother. The surrounding gardens are also lovely for a quiet walk after the visit. Truly an unforgettable experience in Madrid!
Lala — Google review
Honestly, I'd say the palace is slightly above average. History enthusiasts will likely be disappointed . It's a nice place to spend the day with kids and family, and it's particularly great for school kids to learn about history in a hands-on way.
Ameer S — Google review
The Royal Palace of Madrid is magnificent and awe-inspiring. Its lavish rooms, grand staircases, and elegant decorations leave you speechless. The atmosphere transports you to another era, making you feel part of royal history. The gardens are also fantastic for a peaceful stroll. A unique visit that is definitely worth experiencing!
Ina L — Google review
Royal Place is beautiful and offers a great learning experience, but it can be very crowded, so moving through is slow. The visit itself is fairly quick, but the stunning architecture and interesting exhibits make it worthwhile.

The Temple of Debod in Madrid is an ancient Egyptian temple that was relocated from Aswan and reconstructed in a picturesque park. It is over 2,000 years old and is the oldest monument in the city. Situated near Parque del Oeste, it offers stunning sunset views from its gardens, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors. The temple's interior can be accessed before sunset, as it closes after dark.
For anyone confused, you only need reservations to see inside of temple but it is completely free to see the structure outside and enjoy the beautiful sunset beyond. Pro tip: bring a little treat to eat on the grass and watch the sunset. Lovely experience in Madrid. Bonus to experience a free concert from the locals if you are lucky.
Kimberly — Google review
Comparatively a tiny place but you can see a real Egypt temple in close distance and free of charge! There are still crafting on the wall though the color were all faded. Monday closed and must book free trip (30 min, enough time for visit) on the website in advance.
Kevin Y — Google review
Been looking forward to seeing this Egyptian Temple for a long time, as it is historically very interesting and at a great location in a park overlooking the valley and Palace, etc. Great for families, dog walking, sunsets. Peaceful. I was very surprised to see NO WATER in the reflecting pool that surrounds it. The Guard on duty told me they had a leak in the bottom that dripped onto vehicles in a car lot below it, so they indefinitely shut the water off and it’s now permanently dry. Used to be wonderful for late-day water-reflecting sunsets, but no more.
Joseph Z — Google review
visited this temple quite late at night, and even then it was incredibly beautiful. I definitely want to come back during the daytime as well. The place also had a stunning view from where I stood.
Perkash S — Google review
Incredible location for sunset in Madrid. Temple itself has cool story which was gifted to King from Egypt but view during sunset is amazing. You can enjoy a cup of drink, families, couples and dogs around you will make your evening great. Also once you are with your drink and sunset, walk down through the Royal Palace (10mins) which is mostly crowded with tourist(easy to follow without map) and take some photos there before sun fully sets as well. From that moment, there are many great small cafes and bistros that you can enjoy some bites while crowd passes by and feel the city with lively buzz
Batuhan B — Google review
Really beautiful area to relax. If you are wanting to view the inside of the temple, be sure to make an appointment! It is free but tours are very limited! Still nice to see from the outside though.
Paulina R — Google review
This temple is one of the most overrated places I've seen. There’s barely any information around. Apparently, there used to be reflecting pools on both sides, but they're gone now. I had to look it up online because it didn’t feel like a historical site at all. As far as I can tell, only a small part of it is original — it’s been heavily restored. I think its fame is mostly due to a bandwagon effect. The surrounding park is much nicer — ideal for walking and relaxing. To enter, you have to scan the QR code shown in the picture and wait about 20 minutes. They only allow 15 people inside at a time. I didn’t go in, and honestly, I wasn’t that curious.
Pınar 1 — Google review
Free entry but need to book your tickets in advance! Wasn’t able to get in to see whatever’s inside the small temple, didn’t see too many visitors there too but tickets were all unavailable at least for the next 2 days. Interesting there was a time when Egypt gifted other countries with temples for their help in conservation work…maybe a few well chiselled stones didnt worth that much…

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía is a vast museum showcasing an impressive collection of Spanish 20th-century art, featuring renowned works by artists such as Gris, Dali, Picasso, and Miro. Located near the Atocha train station in Madrid, the museum offers free admission during specific hours on weekdays and weekends.
I had an amazing time at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte! The collection is vast and impressive, featuring stunning pieces of art that left me in awe. The variety of works, from classic to contemporary, is truly remarkable. What I loved most was the ability to search their online collection, making it easy to explore and revisit my favorites. The atmosphere was inspiring, and the staff were welcoming. Highly recommend for any art lover
KAM — Google review
This former hospital is a sprawling museum over for floors currently the fourth and third floors are not exhibiting any artwork and the garden gardens are undergoing renovations. This beautiful building has a modern extension at the front which is brilliant. The works inside are representative of the Spanishhistory of the modern era. There are many documents and magazine, examples, architectural, designs, and posters of the war era. There are Picasso’s works by Dali Miro and the Cubist. It is an impressive collection and well attended.
G M — Google review
The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía is an absolute must-visit for art lovers and anyone interested in Spain’s modern artistic legacy. Seeing *Guernica* in person is a truly moving experience — powerful, haunting, and unforgettable. It’s a privilege to stand before not just Picasso’s masterpiece but also works by Dalí, Miró, and other icons of 20th-century art. You’ll want to budget at least two hours, though it’s easy to spend the entire day exploring the galleries and temporary exhibitions. We visited on Spain’s National Day, so entrance was free; there was a queue in the morning, but it moved quickly. Note: bags and liquids aren’t allowed inside, so bring a €1 coin for the lockers. Overall, a beautifully curated museum that rewards both casual visitors and serious art enthusiasts alike.
Ephraim — Google review
The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, inaugurated in 1992, is Spain’s national museum of 20th-century art, housed in a former hospital redesigned by architect Antonio Fernández Alba. Its collection features masterpieces by Picasso, Dalí, and Miró, including Picasso’s legendary Guernica. The modern glass elevators and spacious galleries create a perfect setting for contemporary art. Entry is free on certain evenings, making it a must-see for art lovers in Madrid.
Murat K — Google review
I went here primarily to see Guernica, a work by Picasso the I learned about 45+ years ago in a high school English class. Given the context, understanding the symbolism, message, and promotion of liberty and free speech made seeing this masterpiece in person powerful. I loved how it was displayed, and was glad to arrive early with few other people in the room. To see other works by Dali, Delaunay and many others was a bonus for me. The museum is large and spacious and I never felt crowded or rushed.
Les M — Google review
Very valuable place and a must visit in Madrid. Amazing collection of Picasso and Dali can be found here as well as other spanish and latino artists. Dont forget to go to terrace as well as they have dew modern arts and you can enjoy the view of Madrid as well
Ashkan D — Google review
An amazing gallery, which concentrates on spanish art, but with some very interesting and valuable international links too. I went on a sunday in the free hour 12:30-14:15 for which i would recommend being there 30 minute earlier since obviously many people do this🤭. Still despite the long queue, people were getting in pretty quickly. When in, the permanent paintings, distributed in the halls by style (cubism, post cubism, surrealism, etc.) were on the second floor (3rd and 4th floor were temporarily closed). On the first floor there was an amazing exhibit by Maruja Mallo (i’ll post photos of some of her paintings).
Simona — Google review
We happened to walk across the neighborhood, and my wife said that after their official ticket time that around 7 pm, then there is a free entry before they close at 9 pm. I suppose this is only on weekends. I'm not sure on weekdays. So we decided to take the opportunity and we waited in line ( not that long and good thing everybody seated yet in line along those short walls in front of entrance). Once ur inside the museum is pretty big with 4 stories. Currently, the 3rd floor is closed. 1st floor and 4th floor has temporary exhibition, so i believe they often update new one. But the main highlight was Pablo Picasso, Guernica' famous painting at 2nd floor room no.205. You can also find Dali painting as well. Most of the people are on the 2nd floor. Rest its pretty much contemporary arts and paintings, which my wife is not a big fan of it. At some points, yes, it is hard to understand and appreciate the beauty, although the 19th/20th century artists do express themselves. Overall, it was good to see at least one famous Picasso painting. The building layout is a bit confusing, though. Since it was free, it was not bad. Spend 1 and half.

Mercado de San Miguel, one of the oldest covered markets in Madrid, is a historic gourmet venue that offers a rich culinary experience. Originally built in 1916 and recently refurbished, this market features an array of food stalls offering premium Spanish produce such as fresh fruits, cured meats, fine wines, seafood, cheeses, and pastries. Visitors can indulge in local specialties like olive and anchovy pinchos or fresh seafood while sipping on masterfully made sangria.
What an experience. We almost didn’t go because there were so many negative reviews for gluten free. I have celiac and almost changed plans, but decided to see the experience and if I had to, I’d eat somewhere else after. Every booth was very helpful with knowledge of if they had anything gluten free. I found many options, from lobster taco to the olives with various meats and cheeses, shrimp, grilled veggies, etc. This is our favorite part of our visit to Madrid and I’m so glad we decided to go. Also, just a couple blocks away is a churros 1902 spot that has amazing gluten free churros. Don’t miss that.
Cynthia D — Google review
I LOVE this market! It’s a bit touristy, but I love that you can find everything here. The seafood spot and the tapas place are definitely the most popular in my opinion. There’s so much to see and eat, I even got percebes here! Definitely a place worth coming back to.

What's the point t of all that lovely fresh food if you can barely squeeze through anywhere let alone eat your food comfortably? I tried twice in two days. Finally on day 2 I grabbed a fresh kiwi drink and got the hell out of there. Visited these places in other cities, great, here, ridiculously too small.

Mercado de San Miguel is an absolute food lover’s paradise and one of Madrid’s most vibrant culinary landmarks. Housed in a beautifully restored iron structure, the market combines traditional Spanish charm with a modern, bustling atmosphere. Every stall offers something tempting — from fresh oysters and Iberian ham to gourmet tapas, cheeses, pastries, and wines. It’s the perfect place to wander, taste, and share small bites while soaking in the energy of the crowd. The quality of the food is consistently excellent, and the variety makes it easy to build your own tapas adventure. Whether you’re stopping for a quick snack or spending a leisurely afternoon trying everything, Mercado de San Miguel delivers a full sensory experience — delicious flavors, lively ambiance, and a touch of history. A must-visit in Madrid for anyone who loves authentic, elevated Spanish cuisine.

Nice modern high end Mercado to get tapas. You can find things in here that are non-traditional. Lots of fresh flavours but there are also some places where the food looks a bit tired. It’s not a large Mercado so counter space is at a premium. The counters on the inside are packed and you will get jostled. It may be better to get some of the space on the outer window area. One other downside is the prices are more expensive than other mercados or tapas bars. But you are paying for the all in one convenience.

Tons of food options, impossible to find a seat. Was cool to try some Spanish crackers with random fish things on them. They were good…. The crackers were whatever but I guess that’s not the point. I sat outside on the ground. Don’t get why this place is on everyone’s rec list, go to a less known mercado!
Isabella G — Google review
They say this is a tourist trap but honestly, I don’t care. It’s a great market with everything. The food is beautifully laid out and they taste good. My favorites are definitely rhe anchovy and sardine tapas from the same shop. 2.50 EUR for each, cheapest in the market AND most delicious!
Mary — Google review
Amazing choice of food. A little expansive so check prices before buying your food. Very busy so difficult to get seating but well worth the experience and will definitely go back. The steak was amazing and the Jamon was really good although the portion was really big.

The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, offering a diverse collection of European masterpieces spanning from the 13th to the 20th century. This museum showcases an extraordinary private collection featuring works by renowned artists such as Titian, Tintoretto, Warhol, and Pollock.
Beautiful and surprisingly large multi-level art museum filled with incredible works by the best artist's of our time. Contains a little bit of everything from Baroque & Renaissance to Abstract, impressionism/expressionism and contemporary and too many others I cant think of at this time lol. But, seriously it was very enjoyable, zen and maybe I was lucky but there was even a small flamenco concert that happened on the main level. Highly recommend

An incredible collection of art. Prefer wandering the halls here over some of the other more notable museums in Madrid. That said, it can be a little overwhelming in scope/size, with floor after floor, hall after all. But it is fairly well organized and easy to navigate. There is also a small cafeteria should you get in the mood for a snack or coffee. Definitely worth the cost of admission, and definitely worth your time.
Jaded G — Google review
Museum is great, big would definitely recommend to dedicate at least 4 hours to do it calmly and with intention. They have pieces from almost all eras and movements and really liked the route as well. Mondays it’s free so recommend to take advantage of that!! Audio guide was okay, but they focus mainly on a piece at each room and give you a lot of info about it but I was hopping it would be about all pieces or at least more of the overall context or the movement those pieces share, can be better tbh
Tadea I — Google review
Medium to large size without clear direction signs. If you have a sense of direction you’ll find your way around, but not easy to make a path from start to finish without more than once doubling back. The timed entry is usually for a ground floor temporary exhibitions, but the best way to see all is to start from the top and work your way down, thus in chronological order of period. But, all that aside, wow, what a collection of masterpieces! Highly recommended. Budget 3-4 hrs to see all properly. Don’t skip any room, as you might miss a jewel amongst works of lesser renown, albeit still tremendously valuable and relevant.
Joe B — Google review
Very good museum that covers 500-600 years of art. It’s relatively small and easy to navigate. The collection holds a wide variety of paintings from early Italian church art through landscape painters, Impressionists, Fauves to Picasso and more contemporary artists.
Jan B — Google review
A fantastic collection, brilliantly laid out in a beautiful building. The top floor held the older works, with lots of beautiful religious paintings, some dating back to the 10th century. The first floor contained the more modern works, from around the mid 19th century onwards, encompassing Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Fauvism, Surrealism and more, through Pop-Art, right up to works from present day. The galleries were very well laid out, with a chronological nature to each room - in many cases, it helped connect the dots between the different movements, and bevause of the depth of the collection, in cases like work from Miro or Kandinsky, you could see the artist's style adapting and developing over the years. The ground floor holds the loaned collection from the daughter of the original donor, and contains even more treasures, especially from the Impressionists, with treats from Sisley and Pizarro, and some spectacular Pop-Art period works from the likes of O'Keefe.
Chris G — Google review
The Museum has lots of paintings and it takes a loot of time to go through them, there are some magnificent paintings to check out. The Museum is a definitely worth a visit if you are into art!

My partner who is hearing impaired found it very difficult to hear the audio guide that we purchased. The staff pulled out all stops to ensure my partner could hear the guide. Eventually they suggested that he listen to the guide from the web version of the audio on his phone and direct the audio through Bluetooth to his hearing aids. The audio was perfect and we both thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hours at the museum. Thank you to the lovely team member who helped out with the audio!

Zoo Aquarium de Madrid is a vast facility featuring animals in their natural habitats, a dolphinarium, and a shark tank. It also includes a petting zoo for kids. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various attractions within its grounds such as the Parque de Atracciones amusement park and Lago, a beautiful location for lunch. The zoo can be accessed via cable cars from Parque Oeste or by taking the metro to Principe Pio and walking across the river.
Absolutely wonderful Zoo and Aquarium not far from the heart of Madrid. Compared to Zoos in the US, this one is superb and very well kept & thoughtfully designed. We loved it and, as a family that is very well traveled, I am surprised this Zoo is not higher rated in Google by other visitors. All that said, our family of four loved it and I highly recommend it for a day of family fun. Do buy your ticket online ahead of arriving - will save you some money. We spent around 4 hours at the Zoo and purchased the basic entry which provided for plenty. Enjoy!

A perfect outing for families! This is a charming aquarium that, despite its compact size, is packed with fascinating exhibits. What makes it special for kids are the fun, interactive games and displays throughout which do a great job of keeping them engaged. We spent ages watching the playful penguins and the impressive sharks. Just remember to turn off your camera flash before you go in. Highly recommended for a fun and educational afternoon

This is a really good Zoo but unfortunately most of the animals were having a nap! It’s like we payed for nothing, I mean if it’s gonna be like that why not make the price less expensive? I went there with my family excited to see tigers, lions, raccoons.. etc but none of them were awake. Maybe it’s due to the heat in Spain but I’m sure it’s hotter in their native habitat. Just don’t expect to see all animals.

Wonderful zoo. Spacious, clean, and well-organized, with a great variety of animals, from pandas and dolphins to lions and giraffes. Staff are friendly, and enclosures look well cared for. Perfect for families with kids, just 20 minutes from central Madrid. A must visit if you’re in the city! Recommended ✅

The Madrid zoo surprised me with how tranquil it is. My father hadn’t been back in about forty years, and it was the only spot he wanted to revisit. We strolled slow, watched the animals in relaxed habitats, and grabbed a couple of pastries that were simple and perfect. It feels like a classic Spanish zoo; nothing rushed, everything easy. Worth a visit.

Fantastic zoo. I was lucky enough to visit on a Monday at the end of September so it was not crowded at all, in fact practically empty! The place has a good layout and the animal habitats all seems to be spacious and suitable. I never thought I would get to see giant pandas and white rhinos, but now I have.

Overall great experience, especially for the kids - you can find all kinds of animals. Study before for the schedule of shows/displays - we saw a sea lion show but sometimes there are others one programmed. Also, if you buy in advance online you can get slightly cheaper tickets. A lot of animals like ducks and rabbits roaming freely in the zoo :)

The Museum of Illusions Madrid is a must-visit attraction for families and anyone seeking mind-bending experiences. This popular spot in Madrid offers a variety of exhibits and installations that will challenge your perception of reality. From the funky rotated room to the Infinity Room with no boundaries, visitors can test gravity in the Anti-Gravity room and walk through the dizzying Vortex Tunnel.
Absolutely entertaining from start to finish! The Museum of Illusions in Madrid kept us all fully engaged — we could’ve easily spent two hours exploring. The installations are clever, interactive, and truly high quality. My kids had a blast, and honestly, so did I. Every room is picture perfect, and the staff made sure the flow was easy and fun. Whether you’re going with kids or just want to play with perspective and be wowed, this spot delivers.
Maryam — Google review
I was there with my family. The museum isn’t very big, but it has a lot of potential if they organized the time slots better. When it’s too crowded, people tend to rush through just to get their picture, or they give you unfriendly looks if you take your time — which makes the experience more uncomfortable than enjoyable. Besides that, having tripods available in a few spots for group pictures, or even as rentals, would be useful. Overall, my family had fun, but we would’ve enjoyed it more if it hadn’t been so crowded.
Cherié L — Google review
I visited the Museum of Illusions in Madrid with my girlfriend, and it was a fun experience overall. However, I think it’s more enjoyable if you go in a group of more than two people, since many of the photo spots are designed for pairs or groups. Inside, there aren’t that many interactive activities, but the main issue is definitely the number of children running around — though of course, you can’t really ask them not to come! Other than that, we had a good time. I’d recommend going with friends or people you know you can have fun with anywhere.
Lorenzo B — Google review
Wow! What a great museum! If you want to find where the magic is at in Madrid, look no further! Offering many illusions for you to try out and capture, this museum is incredibly fun for everyone of all ages except people who otherwise have vertigo, as some of the illusions you will have to walk through may not be good for people with vertigo. If you are wanting a fun activity to do with your kids, it’s a great place! Depending on your pace, you could be at this museum for a while. My favourite illusion was the vortex, as it is a really cool experience and it really makes you feel like you are spinning in an actual vortex. If that’s your thing, it is the last illusion downstairs at the very end of the room. This museum is also not far from the train line, so you can travel here easily. In sum, if you’re wanting something to do while you’re in Madrid, come here!
Alex S — Google review
A little small but worth an hour or so if you want a break from the heat. Note that it definitely skews more toward a younger crowd, and there were a lot of families with little kids there. As a group of two adults though, it was still a fun experience. I’m sure the kids had a great time as well. Staff were great also. Give it a try if you need a break from the sightseeing and just want some fun relaxation and air conditioning!

We had such a great time at the Museum of Illusions in Madrid! I went with my two kids and they absolutely loved it — from the mind-bending exhibits to all the fun photo ops, there was never a dull moment. A big shoutout to Roberto, who went above and beyond. He was incredibly kind and patient, explaining how the illusions worked in a way my kids could understand, and even helped us take some amazing photos. He showed us the best angles and made sure we got the most out of each exhibit. Definitely recommend for a fun, family-friendly outing. So much fun and lots of laughs!

The Museo Nacional del Prado is a must-visit art museum in Madrid, featuring an extensive collection of 12th to 19th-century masterpieces by renowned artists such as Velazquez, Goya, and El Greco. The museum is just one of the many cultural institutions that make Madrid a vibrant and captivating city to explore.
The Museo del Prado is one of the most impressive art museums in the world and a true jewel of Madrid. Its vast collection features masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Rubens, and Titian, making it a dream for art lovers. Highlights like “Las Meninas” and Goya’s “The Third of May 1808” are unforgettable. The museum’s elegant architecture, calm atmosphere, and beautifully curated galleries make exploring its halls an inspiring experience. Everything is well organized, with friendly staff, helpful guides, and a great café and gift shop. Located near Retiro Park and Paseo del Prado, it’s part of Madrid’s famous art triangle. A visit to the Prado is a journey through centuries of creativity — absolutely unmissable for anyone visiting Spain.

Art museum with lots of artwork, some sculptures. Lots of art are religious theme. No pictures are allowed to take inside the museum. There are guard in every section area to ensure no touching nor photos. Museum and art lovers can easily spend half to a day here. Worth a visit.

The Museo Nacional del Prado is one of those places that truly earns its reputation — a vast, magnificent collection that feels like walking through the pages of art history. From Velázquez and Goya to Titian and Rubens, every gallery reveals another masterpiece. That said, it can definitely feel overwhelming, with rooms branching into more rooms and a layout that’s easy to get lost in — but that’s part of its charm and grandeur. We visited on Spain’s National Day when entry was free, and while the queue took about 30 minutes, it moved steadily. Even on regular free-admission days, expect a wait, so plan accordingly. Once inside, the experience is nothing short of breathtaking — an essential stop for anyone visiting Madrid, even if it takes a little patience to get in. Truly a world class museum.
Ephraim — Google review
Excellent experience. The Spanish Renaissance era art perfectly compliments Italian Renaissance masterpieces. We spent 3 hours in the museum and it wasn’t long enough to see it all.
Rob Y — Google review
No photos at all allowed here. Unusual but show respect and refrain. Just enjoy the incredible collection without thinking about your social media cred! Budget 5-6 hours honestly. Not as big as Louvre thankfully, but still large. Titian, Rubens, Van Dyck and of course mucho Goya and Velasquez. Bucket list museum for renaissance and baroque art lovers! The photos I took were before I was made aware of the no photo policy.

“The Prado Museum is Madrid’s artistic treasure and one of the most important museums in the world. Founded in 1819 under King Ferdinand VII, it showcases iconic works by Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, and Rubens. Designed by Juan de Villanueva, the neoclassical building itself is a masterpiece. Every room reveals centuries of European art and royal history. Admission is around €15, with free entry during late-afternoon hours—an unmissable experience for art lovers visiting Madrid.”

Astonishing. Breathtaking. This is one of the world's top art museums. You must see. Buy tickets in advance and check on free admission dates and times. Best to plan for a whole day. Guided tours available and are worth the price. Allow plenty of time for security line, especially if you have a timed tour. Nice cafe inside can provide snacks, drinks or full meal. Palacio de Cristal, also known as the Crystal Palace, is a must-see attraction located in the heart of Retiro Park in Madrid. This iconic and photogenic spot was inspired by London's Crystal Palace and is a stunning conservatory made entirely of glass. Built in 1887, it was originally designed to showcase native plants and objects from the Philippines during Spain's colonial period.
Parque del Retiro in Madrid is an urban oasis that blends natural beauty with cultural richness. One of the park's highlights is the stunning Palacio de Cristal, a beautiful glass and iron pavilion that looks absolutely breathtaking when sunlight pours through its transparent walls. Originally built in 1887 to exhibit exotic plants from the Philippines, today it serves as an exhibition space for contemporary art. Walking through the park, you can feel the tranquility amidst the bustling city. Locals and tourists alike come here to relax, picnic, or simply enjoy the lush surroundings. The lake nearby offers boating opportunities, and the statues and monuments scattered throughout add a touch of history and elegance. Whether you are looking for a quiet retreat or a cultural exploration, Parque del Retiro has something to offer. The combination of nature and architectural beauty makes it a must-visit in Madrid.

During our visit to Palacio de Cristal in El Retiro Park a few days back, we discovered that it was temporarily closed for renovations. While we couldn’t go inside, standing before it was still a breathtaking experience. 🌟 Even from the outside, you can truly appreciate its beauty and grandeur — the elegant glass structure surrounded by lush greenery and reflected in the nearby pond creates such a magical scene. It felt like stepping into a painting! 🎨✨ Though we couldn’t explore the interior this time, just seeing it in person was absolutely worth it. We can only imagine how stunning it must be when open to visitors. A must-see landmark when strolling through El Retiro! 🌳💎

It’s literally the worst park I’ve been to it closes all the green houses, if they really had to construct maybe construct one first? So the other one can be seen instead the just closed two of them. And because of 1 PERSON just had some dizziness someone decided to call the police and shut the the whole park forcing everyone to leave just because of 1 SINGLE PERSON the person could just literally sit under a table with an umbrella or drink water it’s literally a basic thing to do if not just leave the park go into some indoors and enjoy the AC not make other people have to leave, their offices website said it will open at 18:00 but instead they pooped up a sign saying they are taking an inspection I’ve waited for literally 45 minutes, everyone did but all of the people just left due to the fake news. And if you really have the chance to go in… you could only feed the turtles, fishes and ducks or walk around because everything is literally closed.

Faunia, located in the Vicalvaro area just 10 minutes from Madrid, offers a unique zoo experience. With over 1,200 animals from 152 different species, visitors can explore four ecosystems that replicate natural habitats around the world. The themed natural space features temperature-regulated rooms mimicking climates from the Arctic to the Amazon.
We've visited Faunia several times and always love it. It's a very interactive zoo and you'll always see plenty of animals. The jungle simulator is amazing. A special mention for the food here, like most eating out in Spain, it's amazing here and very reasonably priced.
Dave G — Google review
Faunia provides a very well-designed and enjoyable day out. One of the things I appreciated most was the park's layout. There is a single, clear path that guides you through all the different ecosystems, so it's incredibly easy to navigate and you don't have to worry about missing anything or backtracking. It makes for a very relaxing and logical visit. A huge highlight is the sea lion show – it's highly entertaining and definitely a must-see. A couple of important tips for future visitors: first, make sure to buy your tickets online in advance. The price at the entrance is significantly higher, so booking ahead can save you a lot of money. Second, it's good to know that this isn't a traditional zoo. You won't find some of the larger animals like lions or giraffes. I'd recommend checking the list of animals on their website beforehand to set the right expectations and avoid any disappointment.
Danny — Google review
Our family had a fantastic time at Faunia Zoo in Madrid. Despite initial expectations, the zoo is quite spacious, allowing us to spend several enjoyable hours exploring. The variety of animals and well-designed habitats made for an engaging and educational experience. The park is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great place for a family outing, and we highly recommend it for anyone visiting Madrid.

Excellent zoo in Madrid where the animals are very well taken care of. You can interact with them a little on certain areas of the park. I found it to be really entertaining! You can easily spend 6 hours there! You can get in the pool with sea lions! We did it and it was a great experience! I suggest looking for discounted tickets online before paying full price. They are normally available. Parking is excellent and as soon as you arrive the ambient music is peaceful and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting it whether you are an adult or you have children.
Michelle M — Google review
A truly beautiful theme park with a vast array of animals, perhaps one of the best. The exhibits are well-maintained, and the animal habitats are impressively realistic. However, a significant downside is the presence of unruly school groups. The students are often noisy and disruptive, and the accompanying teachers show a lack of respect and control. This detracts from the overall experience, making it difficult to fully enjoy the park's many attractions. Improved management of these groups would greatly enhance visitors' enjoyment.
Jacopo ( — Google review
Faunia is a family zoo experience, without the larger animals you would typically find at the zoo. For my visit there were 2 shows: seals and birds of prey, both were nice, but quite short, though there were 2 slots each. Otherwise, there is a mix of outdoor and indoor enclosures to view, much appreciated in the late August heat! For the outdoor animals, most were hiding in the shade (don't blame them...). For the indoor spaces, there was a 50/50 mix of whether they were visible. I brought my own snacks, but there seemed to be plenty of places to stop and eat, though some were not open, I guess based on the number of visitors. Definitely book in advance. A week ahead will get you tickets around 18euro instead of 25euro online on the day or 29euro at the gate. Overall, I spent probably 5-6hrs, taking my time with photos and revisiting a couple of enclosures.

A great respite from the hustle and bustle of Madrid’s city life. Very quiet and tranquil spot. There are a variety of different paths leading to beautiful gardens and small frog ponds. There is also an abundance of wildlife including birds, butterflies, and a peacock with a huge colorful plume. I didn’t take a photo so not to stress her out. Most importantly there is only one entrance to the garden, located on the far side, down the hill near the tall. Arch.

Such a beautiful landmark, and definitely a must-see when visiting Madrid. 🌆

Puerta de Alcalá is one of Madrid’s most iconic and historic landmarks. A magnificent monument with impressive architecture, located near El Retiro Park. It looks stunning at night with its beautiful lighting and is perfect for photos. There are plenty of nearby cafés where you can relax and enjoy your time. If you visit Madrid, make sure to stop by!

Beautiful architecture and quite a sight to see. You can enjoy it from many local cafés or just walking along the roundabout. The flowers outside are also beautiful. You cannot go too close to the structure though, please be aware of traffic if walking out to take photos.

This is a beautiful monument in Madrid, Spain. One of those places that are a “must see” when visiting this gorgeous and regal city. It was recently renovated, a work that took well over a year to complete, but so worth it. La Puerta de Alcalá is the starting point to one of Spain’s longest streets, La Calle de Alcalá. In this famous square, many events take place during the year, and it is right across from another “must visit” site in Madrid, El Parque del Retiro. The famous Calle de Serrano, known for its many chic boutiques and high end shops, also ends at this square. You can see the other very famous square when you are standing at this site, La Plaza de Cibeles, with its famous fountain and beautiful buildings.

I came there last yr when it was under construction, looked very bad. However, after 1 yr I came back there, it stunned me a lots, very very muy bien and beautiful. I highly recommend this place for tourists

After so many visits to Madrid, I finally had the chance to see it in all its glory — two years later, and it was worth the wait. It had been under renovation during my previous visits, so seeing it fully restored, surrounded by blooming tulips in the heart of spring, was truly a spectacle. An iconic landmark full of history and elegance. Whether you pass by during the day or stop for photos at sunset, it captures the timeless beauty of the city like few other places.
Kissairis M — Google review
An iconic Madrid landmark that perfectly captures the city’s elegance and history! The Puerta de Alcala is a majestic neoclassical gate that stands proudly at the entrance to El Retiro Park, and it’s even more stunning in person than in photos. The monument’s design and craftsmanship are impressive, with beautiful arches and intricate details that make it a true architectural gem. It’s especially picturesque when illuminated at night or framed by the seasonal flowers around Plaza de la Independencia. A must-see stop for anyone exploring central Madrid - it’s not just a gateway but a symbol of the city’s timeless charm. Perfect for photos, strolls, and a quick break to admire one of Madrid’s most beautiful sights!

Monument
Las Ventas Bullring, also known as Plaza de Toros Monumental de Las Ventas, is a historic bullfighting arena located east of central Madrid. Built in the 1920s in neo-Mudéjar style, it is considered the most important and prestigious bullring in the world. The venue hosts not only bullfights but also concerts and events. Visitors can explore the fine Museo Taurino to gain insight into this Spanish tradition or simply admire the impressive architecture.
This is a hard review to make. I give the place five stars in general because it’s structural marvel is amazing and well kept. The ambience is great, great food, vendors, and drinks, everything about it was great. When the first bowl came out, it was exciting, I was cheering and cheering when the bull misses and marveling at the bravery of the matador. But then came the time to kill the bull, and it was a shock to the senses. I stopped recording after that. After the next couple, I couldn’t take it anymore and I left. It’s a great show to watch and definitely something to experience while in Spain as it’s a big part of their culture. But at the same time, it’s very sad to watch these animals get killed. I did research, and at least they take them to a slaughterhouse afterwards, and the meat is used at local restaurants. So at least they don’t waste the meat/bull.
Nathan — Google review
It was a remarkable visit. We were almost alone and we could enjoy the place better. We could feel the same vibes of people who use to attend that place. Audio guides were thorough and detailed and gave us a wide panoramic of the "Corrida". There is also a museum about the toreros and their typical costumes. We visited it in August and it was burning hot, so we suggest visiting in spring or autumn. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to really feel like a Spanish for a day.
Marco C — Google review
Really cool place to visit. Whether you agree or not with the sport it is still interesting to understand the history and terminology relating to it all. I found it very fascinating, happy to report no animals were harmed during my visit.

Las Ventas is an impressive and historic landmark — the architecture alone makes it worth a visit. The guided tour gives great insight into the cultural and historical significance of bullfighting in Spain, and the museum inside is very informative. Even if you’re not a fan of bullfighting, it’s fascinating to learn about the traditions and see the arena up close. The audio guide was helpful and well organized. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because some areas could use a bit more shade and seating, especially during summer heat, but overall it’s a great experience and definitely worth seeing while in Madrid.
Ivan S — Google review
Came here on a trip from Canada and it was an incredible experience. Just watch out though if you book a seat up high there is not very much room for each person, you are really packed in with eachother. Other than that though, it was really cool to see the bullfighting as it has been traditionally done for hundreds of years. The people next to us were super friendly and explained how it all worked for us, so we got some insider knowledge. Definitely worth visiting, just book some lower more expensive seats if you value your personal space. Also great very large beers they serve.
Adam K — Google review
We went there on October 20 something, the bull fight season is over so the ring was just like a museum to walk around and see what’s inside. I would say they have a lot more potential to make it great because of the arena itself is really beautiful and rich in Spanish culture. But it has nothing besides the lousy audio guide which changed the languages on its own half way through, some part of the arena to see, some videos to watch on a small TV and some Matador clothes collections. The fighting field was closed on the day i was there because they were preparing it for some winter concert (as they informed) so i didn’t get to go down but still they charged the full price. I don’t think it’s worth 16€ at all. Too expensive with so little to see. If you have time and budget to spare, surely it is interesting, if not. You can walk around outside for free and you won’t miss much.
Kawisara T — Google review
Impressive and historic venue with beautiful architecture. Las Ventas is a major cultural landmark in Madrid and a popular tourist spot. Tickets can be bought online with seat selection, and prices vary based on how close you are to the ring and whether the seats are in the shade. In summer, some events are held in the evening; seats in the sun are usually cheaper. Please note: bullfighting is a traditional cultural event, but it can be very graphic and intense up close. I wouldn’t recommend attending with children or anyone sensitive to this kind of spectacle. The event is divided into several bouts (matches), and as a matter of respect, you cannot leave your seat during a bout. Doors open between bouts if you need to use the toilets or buy snacks.
Ali A — Google review
Although the bullfigthing is controversial, the building itself is impressive. The tour is very informative but of course only information from the perspective of the supporters. The tour made it clear for me never to attend a real bullfight.

Parque de Atracciones de Madrid is a well-established theme park located in Casa de Campo, just 13 minutes away from the city center. Spanning 20 hectares, it offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors of all ages, including bumper cars, carousels, high drops, intense roller coasters and water rides. The park also features live entertainment such as shows with popular cartoon characters and classic tales like Little Red Riding Hood.
I spent a full day there and it was amazing. At the beginning, the entry was very smooth. Though the line was super long, it took less than 10 minutes for everyone to be inside. Also I liked that they offer cheaper tickets when buying online. All the games were available and ready to be used. The place was clean. The experience was great in general and worth going again.
Ahmed E — Google review
Great attractions, everything was fun and well thought. The queues, contrary to what some people experienced, were not that long (you can get a speedy gold pass, but it is very expensive <<42€ extra>> so we didnt have one). We went on a Wednesday and it was not too crowded, not more than you would expect from a park like this. I am giving them four stars because first, you had nowhere to leave your backpack for the water rides (but for the other ones you did) so all of it got wet. Go with a plastic bag over it if you can. Secondly, the drinks and food are overly expensive, even for an amusement park. Overall very nice, would recommend!! Also, tickets are less expensive online.
Ira N — Google review
It's the best amusement park... The rides are amazing and you can enjoy your entire day with your family. For kids and adults there are many places to eat. As it was a Halloween theme, so I loved the scariest halloween party 🥳🥳... The worst part is to wait in the queue for 1 hour to enjoy your favourite rides.

We had a wonderful day at the amusement park in Madrid! It’s truly a perfect place for children. There’s a wide variety of attractions suitable for all ages, from gentle rides for the little ones to more thrilling ones for older kids. The lines are reasonable (especially on weekdays), and the park is clean and well-maintained. It's also easy to find food, and water is readily available. I highly recommend this place 😊
Audrey — Google review
We spent a great day at the park! Lots of attractions to enjoy and plenty to do, whether with children or not! The musical show was great and the actors were very proficient and had powerful singing voices. There are plenty of accessibility features to make the park enjoyable for all. Online tickets are cheaper. They accept disability certificates from other countries. On the downside: food and drink is expensive, some attractions need a bit of maintenance (just on the cosmetic side, everything is very safe), and it would be great if the park closed later (at midnight), as it gets too hot during the day and the feeling is it closes just when you start to feel comfortable. Also, water attractions should close at the park closing time too. We will keep on making memories in this wonderful place all our family has visited since they were children!

We visited Madrid Amusement park both on a working day and on the weekend. Much better on the working day - no queuing at all. It's a fantastic spot to avoid summer heat because you may find lots of shady corners. The only downside to mention - food is too junky everywhere.

Embark on a delightful adventure at the Sweet Space Museum, an innovative attraction nestled in Madrid's ABC Serrano shopping center. This vibrant space is a feast for the senses, featuring ten interactive themed rooms that are perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy moments. Marvel at whimsical installations like a mesmerizing lollipop waterfall and candy-floss palm trees while immersing yourself in kaleidoscopic art created by renowned international artists such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Antonyo Marest.
A modern museum with a childhood twist. They give you sweets at every stop. When we went the entire once was decorated for Halloween. A nice place to enjoy with your kids.

Lovely experience in the ABC shopping centre. Less than 20 euros each (2025 prices) for a good hour and a half. Many different themed rooms for selfies and pictures, introduced with a sweet candy dedicated to the room theme.

1/5 stars* Visited The Sweet Space museum in Madrid with my family, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We were expecting a fun and engaging time, but what we got was quite the opposite. Firstly, the duration of the experience was misleading. They claimed it would be around 40-50 minutes long, but in reality, we were done in less than 15 minutes. It felt like a rushed and overpriced experience. The attractions themselves were also quite boring. My kids and I didn't find them engaging or entertaining, and it seemed like they were just going through the motions. The only highlights of our visit were the toboggan and the pool full of plastic balls. My kids seemed to enjoy those parts, but it wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the experience. My kids started crying ad they were looking for more things to do but by that time we were already by the exit. Overall, I wouldn't recommend The Sweet Space museum to others. It felt like a scam, and the lack of transparency about the experience duration was frustrating. Maybe they can work on improving their attractions and being more honest about what visitors can expect.
Ana R — Google review
Nice place for kids, very gimicy but I think kids will like it, and The stuff at the tour was really nice. They give a little gummy candy every room, and a small VR game at the end. The price is 15€ per person. I give 1 star cause they offered me a candy if I give them a good review.
Eran G — Google review
Quite a rip-off. Paid 40€ for 2 adults and a three year old. It’s not really a playground more like a wannabe instagram picture place. In everything the kids get sweets. Total tour takes you maybe 20 minutes. We had a group of 20 including kids which was way too many people for some of the rooms.

We really enjoyed our visit overall. The exhibitions didn’t particularly capture our interest, but of course that’s a matter of personal taste. What we found especially nice was the space on the 3rd floor, where you can relax in hammocks, play chess, or simply escape the heat. And the Martini terrace is absolutely wonderful – with its incredible view of the city, it’s the perfect spot to stretch out on a comfortable sofa and enjoy a glass of Martini.

Final night of our family of 7 stay in Madrid, what a great place to celebrate and enjoy fine dining experience. Food was amazing. Prime rib was well worth it, ribs and street corn, hacky, were very tasty. Drinks were great, expresso martinis and pork stars. The only only negative was our waiter. Zero zero friendliness. So disappointing. We just tried to ignore it. I forgot to mention our reservation was for 8:30, just perfect for the sunset over the mountains and cityscape. Wow.

Nice view from the rooftop bar, I recommend coming here at least a couple of hours before sunset to grab a table and enjoy a bottle of wine. They don't serve any appetizers with the wine like other places though, no crisps or nuts, bear this in mind when ordering.

Best rooftop we have visited in Madrid, plus we got to see three different art exhibitions in the building for the price of the entrance (5€). Not sure if there was a private event later that day but we were told we could only go up the terrace once and only until noon. Maybe there is another price for going up in the afternoon/evening but I am not aware of that.

Visitors can explore the neo-Mudejar style architecture while enjoying exhibitions, performances, cinema screenings, and markets. The center features dedicated spaces for music, performing arts, literature, and non-fiction films.
The old Madrid slaughterhouse, now repurposed as a cultural and artistic hub, sits on the edge of the Rio Manzanares. Once a center of industry, it has been transformed into a sprawling complex that attracts visitors from all walks of life. The area is now a vibrant space, with galleries, performance venues, and creative workshops filling the former industrial buildings. The atmosphere is a mix of history and modernity, offering a unique glimpse into Madrid’s past while embracing its cultural evolution. The nearby "Madrid Rio" Park has played a significant role in the revitalization of the neighborhood. Once an industrial wasteland, it now provides a lush green space for locals and tourists alike. The park stretches along the river, offering walking paths, playgrounds, and areas for recreation. It has brought new life to the area, making it a popular spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. This transformation has had a positive impact on the entire neighborhood, changing its character and making it an attractive destination. The old slaughterhouse and the surrounding area are now a testament to how Madrid has embraced its past while looking forward to the future. Visiting this cultural hub is worth the time, not just once but multiple times. Whether you’re exploring the galleries, walking through the park, or simply taking in the views of the river, there’s always something new to discover.

Had pleasant experience here. Got tickets since it was in City Sightseeing pack. It's three floors experience where it takes around 20-30 min to check everything. However balls pool can make you stay one hour more hahaha. Had a good time with family!

Ikono was such a fun place for me and my teen! It’s cool enough and small enough—perfect for escaping the 100-degree heat. You can breeze through it in about 10 minutes, or take your time and enjoy each stage. We had a blast exploring, took some amazing pictures, and especially loved the ball pit! I’d say this museum is ideal for kids ages 5 to 16. The confetti room is a highlight, and the strings area is really fun too. Once you leave, there are plenty of little spots nearby to grab a snack or an ice cream. A perfect afternoon outing!

Ikono in Madrid completely blew us away! I went thinking it would just be something fun for the kids—but I ended up having just as much fun, if not more. It’s a fully immersive, interactive experience that lets you explore at your own pace without a ton of strict rules. You can even go back to your favorite rooms, which made it feel way more relaxed and enjoyable than similar spots we’ve tried elsewhere. Compared to the same concept in New York, it was a fraction of the price (literally 1/6!) and somehow even better. The service? Incredible. Massive shoutout to Naomy, Matias, and Ori—your warmth, energy, and generosity made our visit so special. You didn’t just help us create memories—you sent us home with a meaningful gift that we’ll treasure forever. I’m already planning to visit Ikono Barcelona next. If it’s anything like this one, we’re in for another unforgettable day.

If you're looking for a museum experience that's anything but traditional, IKONO in Madrid is an absolute must-visit. This isn't a place for quiet contemplation of art; it's an interactive, sensory adventure designed to ignite your imagination and create some truly unforgettable moments (and photos!). Located conveniently near the Reina Sofía Museum, IKONO transports you to a series of eclectic, immersive worlds. Over approximately an hour, you'll move through more than ten unique rooms, each designed to stimulate different senses. From vibrant light installations to tactile textures and playful environments, every space offers something new and unexpected. What makes IKONO stand out is how it encourages you to become part of the art. You're not just observing; you're interacting, playing, and creating your own memories. The famous ball pit is a highlight, bringing out the inner child in everyone, and there are countless opportunities for incredible, shareable photos. Whether you're posing with phosphorescent graffiti, wandering through a "bamboo forest" of glowing lanterns, or experiencing a room with unusual perspectives, your camera will be working overtime. It's suitable for all ages, making it a fantastic activity for families, friends, or even solo travelers looking for a unique and fun outing. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. While it might not be a "museum" in the classical sense, IKONO excels at providing a dynamic, engaging, and highly visual experience that leaves you with a smile and a camera roll full of fantastic memories. It's a refreshing break from typical sightseeing and a truly unique addition to Madrid's cultural offerings.

Nice view, but not to much to see. The ticket cost 3 euro per person. Two girls that were in the staff saw that we were strangers and not Spanish and they looked suspicious at us. In 20 seconds, one came at us to tell us to don't touch the exhibited pieces and to out the bag in the luggage container. After this, she told us that is more to visit and that there we will have the tickets checked. For me, this seems discrimination. Horrible behavior! This is why I gave you 3 stars. For the exhibition only.

I really liked this museum. It was free the day we visited (normally admission is about 3 euros). There is a small quiet indoor courtyard with a fountain and flowers. Indoors, you can see many different paintings done by the artist, as well as some sculptures and even the artist's last painting supplies. There is a small gift shop with prints, magnets, etc. based on his paintings.

Fascinating museum: compact, not crowded, and truly gorgeous. Filled with Sorolla’s life in addition to his art. You’ll see pieces you recognize but you’ll also see Sorolla art you’ve never seen elsewhere (like his paintings/murals to decorate the top of his dining room). PRO TIP: Buy tickets in advance for the first slot of the day. Line up outside the gate a little before opening and be the first ones through the gate and into the building (pre purchased tickets enter on the upper right as you go through the gardens). This will let you be the first ones into his house/museum (all my pictures from here with no one in them were from this time).

A beautiful small museum, it shows through the life of the artist through his paintings and trips. Loved the demonstration of the art and the timeline while walking around the house. The ticket prices are very affordable. It’s a short museum tour, worth the time.

They have kept the house in beautiful condition. The art pieces are in wonderful shape, the museum is educational, and there are English translations for most things. The gardens outside were lovely as well! There was a 30 minute wait to get in.

This is a hidden gem among Madrid's museums. Absolutely worth to visit. Well organized. There are plastic information sheets in the rooms in 4-5 languages, with pictures and numbering, so you can read everything about the painter's life, family and household items. If you like impressionist pictures, it's a must-see!
Renáta S — Google review
Fantastic small museum in the artist's Madrid home. Gardens, rooms and exhibits are well laid out and interesting. Laminated info sheets in several languages in each room were very helpful. Definitely worth the metro ride if you aren't staying locally. A lovely way to spend an hour or so. Quick moving queue outside on the street but more about managing flow in than capacity.

The National Archaeological Museum is a stunning neoclassical gem that showcases an extensive array of artifacts, ranging from prehistoric treasures to Islamic pottery. Established under the royal decree of Queen Isabella II, this museum underwent a significant renovation and now stands proudly next to the national library. Visitors can explore captivating collections that highlight ancient Greek and Roman life, as well as pre-historic items from the Iberian Peninsula.
This is a remarkable museum which is very well organized with some amazing and beautiful exhibits. This runs through the evolution of modern humans, to prehistory, to some early civilizations, to Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and European Midieval civilization. This does have an Iberian and generally Western orientation, and seemed to show little about, for instance, Persian or Far Eastern/Asian civilizations. The cost is minimal. The facility is very clean and was not crowded during our visit.

Excellent museum! Well curated with thoughtful exhibits. Explanations in Spanish and English at each exhibit and thoughtfully written. We easily spent 3 hours here and could have stayed longer. Appreciated the section on the evolution of man, the “money” exhibit and the excellent collection of Roman artifacts. The facilities were clean, the staff were lovely and the museum was free on Sundays! This museum made us realize we must come back to Madrid.

stunning museum with beautiful works of art and nice curation. it’s refreshing to see informative and interesting multimedias in the archeological museum. i got in with a student discount so if you are still studying make sure to bring your student card! staff was nice and helpful. there were a lot of informative texts that were easy to read as well

This museum is huge! Lots of exhibition items and they grouped them by time in the different floors. In addition to revealing the history of Spain, there are Roman mosaics, ancient Egypt, Liberian peninsula. Regular ticket 3 euros. Free admission on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

museum offers a superb panorama of Spanish and Mediterranean archaeology — from Paleolithic tools and the famed “Dama de Elche” to Roman mosaics and medieval treasures. After its full renovation in 2014, the space is bright, logically laid-out and visitor-friendly. On the downside: with thousands of pieces and multiple floors it can feel overwhelming, and signage/visitor routing could be clearer for first-timers. In short, a must-visit for history or archaeology lovers — elegant, accessible and richly rewarding.

The National Archaeological Museum of Madrid, founded in 1867 by Queen Isabella II, is a treasure of Spain’s cultural heritage. It showcases artifacts from prehistoric times to the modern era, including the famous Lady of Elche and Roman mosaics. Each section is beautifully organized and explained in both Spanish and English. Entry is free on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings, making it a must-visit for history lovers exploring Madrid.

Great experience to learn about the history of human evolution, mainly in the Iberian region. The museum is large and spread over 4 floors. There is an app that you can download to help with a self guide tour. Time spent will depend on how detailed you look at each exhibit, but plan on at least 2 hours. There is free admission after 2pm on Saturday and all day Sunday.

I visited with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon, it was busy but FREE after 2pm! We went around for about 3hrs and had a great experience. There is a lot to see (3 floors) and the layout is not always that straightforward, you just have to take your time and try and see everything. Our favourite parts were the beautiful mosaics, Egyptian section (sarcophagus), Moorish architecture and the Greek section. Would definitely recommend coming here!

CaixaForum Madrid is a striking arts center housed in a former power station, redesigned by renowned Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. Situated in Madrid's art district, the complex features a unique design with a vertical garden by botanist Patrick Blanc and a distinctive rust-colored roof. Inside, visitors can explore expansive exhibition halls showcasing both ancient and contemporary art from La Caixa's collection. The venue also serves as a space for cultural dissemination and debate, offering diverse subjects covering various periods.
The building itself is very cool and feels futuristic and very unique. I went for the dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibit and found it to be very reasonably priced and I was able to see all the other exhibits that were in the building. I just walked in and bought a ticket for the exhibit without any wait and the service was very friendly. It is worth just walking by and admiring the architecture of the outside even if you don't want to see an exhibit.

Whether you're an art enthusiast, a family looking for educational activities, or simply someone interested in unique architectural spaces, CaixaForum Madrid offers a rich and engaging experience. Its combination of innovative design, diverse programming, and central location makes it a must-visit destination in Madrid
Γιώργος Π — Google review
I make a point to visit CaixaForum whenever I’m in Madrid and absolutely love it—it’s one of those cultural gems that feels effortlessly cool and accessible. You’ll typically find 2–3 exhibitions running at the same time, and the great thing is that one ticket usually gets you into all of them. The exhibitions vary a lot—everything from historical retrospectives to cutting‑edge multimedia art—and they consistently bring in content from around the world. For example, last year they hosted a phenomenal Pixar exhibition. It was a total delight, showcasing the studio’s creative process, iconic characters, storyboards, and behind‑the‑scenes artwork. This year, the highlight for me was the Alice in Wonderland exhibit. It offered a fresh, imaginative take on Lewis Carroll’s classic tale—with illustrations, interactive installations, and modern artist interpretations that brought Wonderland to life in unexpected ways. The space itself is really appealing: an old power station repurposed with sleek, contemporary design. The contrast between industrial architecture and refined exhibit design gives the whole place an artsy, urban vibe. It’s clean, well‑signposted, and easy to navigate—even with multiple exhibitions running at once. I also always make a point to visit the gift shop. It’s small, but it’s packed—lots of clever, well‑designed souvenirs related to the current show, and others that nod to past exhibitions and art in general. Whether you’re after a quirky postcard or a beautiful coffee‑table book, you’ll find something that catches your eye. Tickets are relatively inexpensive—especially for the quality and variety of the exhibitions on offer. Plus, being right in the city center means it’s an easy cultural stop between tapas or museum‑hopping. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit. Always something new, well curated, and thought‑provoking.

Beautiful museum designed by Herzog & De Meuron Architects. Alice in Wonderland exhibition was fantastic. My daughter loved it.
Mert K — Google review
Right now it gives mall vibes. With a court hall, shops, conference rooms, auditorium, expos and different events, and other amenities. I went because of Alice's expo and it was quite lacking. I've been to the original in the v&a in London and this has to be what they didn't bother to pick afterwards and was left behind. A little rubbish and badly presented. Even as cheap as it was it wasn't worth it.

Wonderful art expositions building. The one I liked better years ago was Intimate impressionists, that was the best exhibition of impressionists I ever saw: a huge number of paintings and an impeccable and innovative organisation of the rooms, by topics: landscapes, portraits, nudes, and a room for all senses. Incredible. The cafeteria is a nice place on the 4th floor where you can get without tickets. The building is amazing because of its architectural design. And next to it there is a beautiful nature based design of the wall.

One of the best arts center I've seen. The building is impressive and unique. The expocision's are so cool featuring Polish artist (for example Wojciech Fangor's art from MOMA or Krzysztof Pruszkowski's photography). The expocisions are temporary, though really exceptional.

Nestled in the vibrant Paseo del Prado, the Naval Museum, or Museo Naval, is a treasure trove for anyone intrigued by maritime history. Since its establishment in 1843, this museum has been a key destination in Madrid, offering visitors an engaging journey through Spain's naval past from the Middle Ages to modern times.
Exceptional collection. Thoughtfully arranged. Does justice to the Spanish naval heritage, one of the greatest navies of all time. It also showcases lots of technical and scientific naval innovations of Spain during and after the Discovery of Americas. These later became a naval standard. All this for free ! Must visit.
Tara C — Google review
A very worthwhile museum – highly recommended. The exhibitions are well curated and give fascinating insights into naval history. Admission is free, but a small donation is suggested, which feels more than fair for the quality and breadth of what is offered. A hidden gem in Madrid!
Eh M — Google review
The Naval Museum is located in a gorgeous building with an amazing staircase leading to the museum. Entrance is free with a suggestion donation of 3 euros. There are no lockers and backpacks are not allowed. The is an audioguide available to use on your phone. Well curated, lovely displays and most placard translated in English describe the incredible history of the Spanish Navy. A must see if interested in all things naval and Spanish history.
Linda B — Google review
I mean, given the volume of material versus the cost (encouraged €3 donation), it's impossible to rate anything but 5/5. Regardless the breadth, detail and quality of items on display or knowledge passed on is unequalled. If you have the slightest knowledge or interest in maritime history or history of exploration this is a must see, if you know what boats are... This is for you.

Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida is a small 18th-century chapel in Madrid, known for its stunning frescoes painted by Francisco Goya. The chapel, located behind the Royal Palace along the Manzanares River, serves as both a museum and the burial place of the famous artist. The interior of the chapel is adorned with Goya's remarkable frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Saint Anthony and everyday life in Madrid.
This small cathedral, also known as Goya’s Chapel, is a must-see in Madrid. The stunning frescoes by Francisco Goya, depicting the Miracle of St. Anthony of Padua, are absolutely breathtaking. His masterful use of light and movement brings the scenes to life. You can sit and admire the amazing artwork for as long as you like, immersing yourself in the beauty of one of Goya’s greatest masterpieces.
Nino G — Google review
This is a hidden off the beaten track marvel. We reached it by taking a short bus ride from the center. There is no entrance fee nor too many visitors. Goya’s paintings cover the ceilings and it was made during his creative peak. Personally this has to be one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences art ever gave me.
Nikos P — Google review
A Goya treasure in the heart of Madrid. While these frescoes might be forgotten due to the relatively small scale and location, they are a fundamental element of Goya's creative production. This is an extraordinary opportunity to see Goya working fresco ceilings and enjoy the art as intended. It´s a relatively short visit, but definitely an enjoyable one for art enthusiast and Goya admirers. (And for those into urban legends, there is also a whole narrative to explore around his burial here after moving the remains from Bordeaux, and the whereabouts of his skull...) Photography not allowed.

Was absolutely beautiful, Francisco Goya is buried here and he has a lovely church and tomb inside. The painting is very lovely, staff were very friendly, you cannot take pictures when inside; was definitely worth stopping by. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.

Impressive al fresco paintings of Goya, who is buried in this place. There is a very nice video explaining the history of the church and the paintings although it is in Spanish, so it's worth it to read some info before. There are some mirrors that help to have a better look at the paintings.
Alvaro C — Google review
A peaceful little Chapel containing the tomb of the painter Goya, gazed down on by the distinctive beady eyes of nymphs and cherubs in frescoes painted by the artist. Enjoyment moderately diminished by the 15 minute wait for entry because the Chapel was filled by a tour group being bored stiff by the superfluous commentary of their verbose guide piped into their earbuds. Commentary unnecessary. Just sit and contemplate. Note to management. Ban tour guides. Note: photography not allowed. Just looking.

Teatro Real, also known as El Real, is a prestigious opera house in central Madrid near the Palacio Real. Established in 1850 and extensively remodeled in the late 20th century, it offers a grand design with an auditorium that seats around 1,740 people. The venue hosts an impressive program of its own and international productions, classical music concerts, and dance performances.
I took the guided tour in English and I am very happy that I did so. Inside the building is quite big. Not only the stage and seating area are beautiful, also there are multiple rooms designed like that of a palace. Our guide Arturo is a very kind person and explained everything well. Although we were a small group, the tour took longer than planned with the questions answered. Taking photos inside is restricted.

It is very nice opera house, and important one on the world's operatic map. Casts are usually very good, and producers like stage and music directors are always better than average. Theatre is modern, accessible for disabled. Ushers & people serving directly to public are nice, friendly and helpful. I had a bad side seat, and I moved to better section. While I was waiting for last moment to take an empty seat, no one was bothering me (not like in Vienna - where to do such switch would be like almost a crime...)

Opera and ballet theatre that reopened not far ago. Good installations with TV screens for areas without visibility and translation into English or Spanish when needed. Invited directors develop their projects of well known operas in a new way in terms of staging and reading old opera masterpieces. New methods include cartoons instead of decorations. Generally decorations are minimalistic. Evgeniy Onegin opera completely changed the essence of Pushkin's and Chaikovsky ideas of the 18th century transferring it to our days polemic and promiscuous representation. Tsar Saltan was also turned into a modern reading in line with new trends becoming the fairytale a modern drama of solitary mother raising an autistic child.

We had ticket to see Traviata Opera at the Madrid theatre right in the heart of Madrid!!! Excellent show. The soprano singer was amazing… the facility was nice. 3 intermissions. Lineup for food and drinks during intermissions was incredibly long. It was served only on one floor. I would suggest line up early, as intermission was only 15 minutes. They had both English and Spanish subtitles. Live orchestra and hard copy of the program in English and Spanish provided. Definitely book in advance for tickets with good seats

Nestled in the western part of Madrid, Casa de Campo is a sprawling park that once served as a royal hunting ground. Spanning an impressive 1,722.6 hectares, it offers a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. With its gentle hills, meandering streams, and picturesque boating lake, it's perfect for leisurely strolls or invigorating runs.
Casa de Campo (translating to country house in Spanish) is a large public park located to the west of the historic centre of Madri. The park is over 1,700 hectares in size and is the largest park in Madrid. The park was originally a royal hunting estate and was created by King Philip II in the 16th century - from which the park gets its name. The estate was originally used primarily by Spanish royalty for leisure and was only opened to the public in 1931. This was due to the transition of Spain from a monarchy to a new Republican government which aimed to modernize Spain and break from class privilege and divide. Today the park features some spacious and beautiful forests and gardens and rolling hills, it is a great spot to take a break from busy city life and go for a walk. Due to the quantity of hills there are a lot of points from which visitors can appreciate panoramic views to the rest of the park and even back over to the city skyline. There are a lot of cycling options available too including a covered cycleway. There are other curiosities to find in the park too such as remaining Spanish Civil War bunkers and the Valdeza Aqueduct. Lago (lake) is a great spot for a picnic or for eating at one of the several lakeside cafes and is a nice entry point to visit the park. Metro access is available by the Lago station on line 10 of the Madrid Metro. Casa de Campo also boasts the Madrid Parque de Atracciones and the Zoo Aquarium de Madrid.

It's a lovely place and lots of green, but unfortunately it's a place that doesn't give women, children and adults the best feeling of security because there are no street lights at all in large parts of it, I as an adult man felt relatively fine, but I'm sure it's a place that can't give the majority of the population a pleasant feeling at night, what's more It's dangerous to walk almost only by moonlight, get ready for flashlights starting at 6 in the evening because there isn't even a drop of light that isn't from the moon.

Worth the price of entry (free) since there aren't many books to actually look at or loan. More of a sort of mini-museum. The building itself is beautiful. Check out the Museum of Archeology in the same building, the entrance is around the corner (€3 entry).

As a tourist with an only conversational level of Spanish, this is not comparable to visiting the British Library. This is first and foremost a working museum. Entry is free but the security guards running the metal detectors have practically no info for non-scholarly visitors. There is a small exhibit on the first floor of the main entrance with an interesting collection of books, maps, and items. Once you go outside, back down the stairs, and off to the side entrance, you can tour a really interesting temporary (maybe?) exhibit on hell and wonders which covered the start of the written word through computers and the future. Some great old books, globes, and global works.

The San Fernando Fine Art Royal Academy, located in a Neoclassical palace on Calle de Alcala in Madrid, Spain, is a cultural center and museum showcasing 16th-century paintings and sculptures. Established in the 18th century by Spanish royalty, it has played a pivotal role in nurturing local talent and attracting international artists. The museum offers free admission on specific days and features a rich collection of artworks from the Middle Ages to the 15th century, including pieces by renowned painters.
We visited around 11am and it was virtually empty! The staff were the friendliest of all the Madrid museums and galleries we have visited, everyone said hello. We enjoyed 3 floors of paintings and sculptures. You have to go up the steps on left to ticket office at the shop. There is a large lift inside. Fantastic comfy sofas to sit and admire the artwork, unlike the hard benches at other galleries! These were very comfortable!

Alexei M — Google review
We were lucky enough to stumble upon a spectacular exhibition of Francisco Goya's prints at the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts during our visit to Madrid. The show features over 200 etchings from his four legendary print series — Los Caprichos, The Disasters of War, Los Disparates (The Follies), and La Tauromaquia (Bullfighting). And as a truly rare treat, the original copper printing plates are displayed right beside the prints. Each series reveals a different facet of Goya's genius. Los Caprichos blends fantasy and biting social satire, exposing human vices and follies with sharp wit. The Disasters of War is a raw, unflinching chronicle of the horrors of conflict — no glorification, just truth. Los Disparates is perhaps his most enigmatic work: dreamlike, nightmarish scenes full of symbolism and mystery. And finally, La Tauromaquia captures the drama and intensity of bullfighting, a deep-rooted part of Spanish tradition, with stunning energy and movement. This is not your average museum stop — it’s the kind of exhibition you see once in a lifetime. Goya, who in my humble opinion ranks among the greatest painters in history, proves with these prints that his genius wasn’t limited to canvas. His haunting, satirical, and often brutally honest vision comes alive through these meticulously crafted etchings. If you find yourself in Madrid while this exhibition is still running, don’t even think of skipping it. Goya doesn’t just show you art — he shows you the world through a sharp, fearless eye.

While the permanent collection was more engaging than the Goya exhibit, overall, if you’re in Madrid for just a couple of days, I’d suggest prioritizing more popular art museums. In my opinion, this museum wasn’t particularly impressive. However, I did find some individual art pieces that I liked a lot.
Iryna S — Google review
This was a rather nice surprise. There is a fabulous collection of Goya prints with original plates. The main gallery over a couple of floors holds a great collection of many of the Spanish masters work. Over 65’s discount with supporting ID

A magnificent collection of art by old masters and contemporary artists. Highly recommended.

Very nice museum with lots of beautiful artworks spread over the floors. The staff is helpful but doesn't always speak English. Admission is free, at least in the winter season. Definitely see the copper plates used by Goya for some of his most famous imprints. There are also some modern artwork displays on the upper floors that you will not want to miss. This was a gem of a find, but you can leave it till your last days in Madrid, like we did.

This is like the Prado's quiet cousin, but it's almost as good. It attracts few visitors and on the Sunday I went it was like having a private viewing. There's lots of superb paintings and on the top floor it moves to a more modern flavour rather than images of religion, battles and the rich and famous.

Hipódromo de la Zarzuela is a popular destination in Madrid, offering an exciting horse racing experience. Visitors can enjoy the thrill of betting on horses and watching them race, creating an exhilarating atmosphere. The establishment is well-organized with multiple bars and food trucks offering a variety of specialties.
Super cool experience 🐎 -Buy tickets in advance (15€ September) -Arrive a little bit in advance and 1/ learn more about horses and make your bet (starting from 1€) 2/ get drinks (tinto de verano 6€) -Enjoy horse racing 🏇🏻 - have dinner a bit outside of hippodrome in a small terrace with hanging bulb 💡 lights

A very nice experience, kind of a festival with food trucks and bars but be prepared for long ques and lack of sitting arrangements (we came half an hour after the opening). You can watch the races from the tribunal or closer to the track. Be aware that there are traffic jam in the interchange and the entry to the place.
Amit H — Google review
If ever you are on a city break and the races are on I can highly recommend a day out. So different from UK tracks, families spill onto the rails to watch the races from babies to grandparents. The terraces are covered for shade, very good toilet facilities. Most of the cashiers speak English but it's so easy to place a bet if you've never done it before as they give written step by step instructions, plenty of places to get a drink.

Nice place to spend a sunny Sunday and let the children play with and get close to the horses. They seem to be treated with care and respect. Some part of the gambling atmosphere might add a gloomy tint to the picture. It is a horsetrack after all. The views of the city are breathtaking.

As a normal horse race with good food trucks. Face mask should we worn at all times, but lots of people without them. The smoking area at the end with no benches were to seat. That was annoying...

Teatro de la Zarzuela, named after the Spanish musical theatre genre, is a historic venue in Madrid specializing in zarzuela performances. This genre combines singing, traditional dance, and comedy to depict everyday life and popular themes. The theater opened in 1856 and holds a significant place in Madrid's history.
An old concert hall historic building, traditional Spanish center of entertainment and art. Very Madrid ,very local. With concerts, traditional zarzuela and some great visiting dance shows.I saw Afanador dance with Spanish National Ballet. Fantastic

The theater is fine, the seats are fine, the artists of course, are beautiful, but there is a serious issue with the person at the cloakroom. She just doesn't know what she is doing. She would have given my coat to someone else if I hadn't looked. She also didn't put any number on my bag, so I had to beg for her to try to remember where she has put it. A scary experience.

beautiful “caja italiana” theater, perfect for dance, opera and concerts. We just saw a fantastic dance choreography (Schostakovich) everything was perfect! Little tip, if you are “familia numerosa” tickets are half price…
Gustavo S — Google review
The show was one of the most incredible displays of theatre we have ever seen. The Spanish opera was a true delight. We were thrilled that they had English subtitles on the screen, along with Spanish. The more advanced, for purchase, program had an English synopsis of the opera. The theatre is incredible, beautiful, and plush red velvet and gold throughout the space. Our box seats were only 50€. The singing was excellent and the acting was awesome. The live orchestra was a delight and the choreography was modern and amazing. The opera felt new and fresh, despite being an old storyline. This is because of the great work of the choreographer, the set designer, and the director.

It is a perfect theatre venue to watch zarzuela, opera… The prices of the highest places are low but of course one should know that the visuality is by half reduced. But the zarzuela was excellent, truly beautiful….

The theater is gorgeous, and the performance was an incredible experience. The singers were phenomenal singers. But additionally they were wonderful actors. This is not always the case in the opera world. The costumes were colorful and detailed.

The venue includes a cafe at the entrance, making it convenient for visitors to grab a drink or snack before the show. It's known for its special children's billboard, LuchanaKids, which provides entertaining performances suitable for young audiences. The theater is well-organized for families with young children and offers ample space for strollers.
Teatros Luchana is an exceptional venue in Madrid, perfect for hosting events or enjoying a great cultural experience. I had the pleasure of helping organize an event here, and I was truly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The team was not only incredibly accommodating but also genuinely kind, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both organizers and attendees. Special mention goes to the bar staff, who were just as delightful—efficient, attentive, and always serving with a smile. The venue itself is versatile, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a successful event. Whether you’re planning something special or just stopping by to enjoy a show, Teatros Luchana is a fantastic choice.

This theater offers an interesting proposition bringing the audience into the stage to experience up close the play -worthy experience. Light & sound were excellent. The seats need urgent refurbishing. We saw: “Doble O Nada” well performed by an international actor from Argentina Miguel Angel Sola and a talented Spanish actress Paula Cancio. Recommended!

It was an an amazing performance about magic. There's a lot of twist in the act. We all had a great time. I wasn't expecting that I am going to enjoy the show since it's for children. But in the end we were all laughing adults and children. There is good balance of magic and fun. Since we arrived early in the area we decided to try the drinks and chips. They have got a great selection of wines, beverages and food too.
Kae16 K — Google review
The noise of the air conditioning in the theatre (number one ) is unacceptable. I understand that this is Madrid in early summer but shouldn’t that be taken into consideration? I hate to be a theatrical Karen. But unfortunately, these days, things only improve if you complain. Other than that, the theatres (I’ve seen a couple of show there) are more than adequate.
Scott C — Google review
Was a good experience for taking our little one to their first theater play. Almost 3-year old and we saw plenty younger. All seemed delighted. Very nice option. It's not a 5 star because there are A LOT of stairs, and younger ones with strollers might struggle.

Great kids theatre performance. Well organised for families with young children. The physical space, service and quality of performance were all top notch and it was probably the best kids theatre experience we’ve had. Worth arriving early to enjoy a coffee and a stomp around before things begin. Lots of space for buggies. Reasonably priced tickets. Will be going back. Well done Teatro Luchana.

The Robot Museum in Madrid is a captivating destination that seamlessly blends the excitement of technology with interactive learning, making it an ideal outing for families. This museum showcases one of the largest collections of robots globally, featuring iconic figures from beloved movies and toys that will surely delight younger visitors. With live demonstrations and engaging exhibitions, children can dive into the fascinating world of robotics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
Fun place to visit. The guide is very friendly, knowledgable and most important of all, very passionate. The museum contains some rare pieces. You have to reserve through WhatsApp.

Is a cool museum that takes you through the development of popular (not industrial) robots. It’s just a pity that the guided tours are only in Spanish . And you can not view the museum without the guided tour… And nobody tells you in advance that the tour is only in Spanish … So if you are not fluent in Spanish, the tour will be rather tedious. They do have cool VR games that you can try (10€/20min).
Jaka S — Google review
Awesome experience! I highly recommend this experience. Great photo spot with tons of robots and good explanations of the history of robots in reality, cinema, and toys. It's even better than the former exhibition. The staff is very kind, attentive, and careful with kids.
Manuel C — Google review
We went to the drone workshop there, it was 20€ per person, it was 40min of flying small drones, which is nice, but I expected something more mehcanic.( I saw that the robots workshop is the same but with robots) I think it's a fun place for kids but if you are an adult it's not really for you.
Eran G — Google review
Staff were super nice. The robot "museum" is not that great though. They have a selection of statues which have been painted in the style of famous robots. Aside from that there is not much to it, if you take your kids there you can squeeze maybe an hour of fun. The tour was in Spanish and my Spanish is awful so I couldnt understand anything.
Rhys W — Google review
The Robot Museum is located on the lower level of the store Juguetronica. Visits are done by groups of visitors with an employee that will guide you through, so please make sure to look up the schedule for the visiting hours before you go. Entrance tickets are cheap and can be bought right before the visit begins at the upper level of the store. The Robot Museum is actually small in size, however, children will be amazed to see that robots can have a conversation, dance and even hold your hand while both of you walk together. One of the best parts of the museum is the guide and overall all the staff that work at the store. They are truly enthusiastic and passionate about the robots they have in the exhibit and the rest of the products they have on sale at the store. On our way out we saw the drone demonstration, played with a robot dog, and had fun at the Star Wars section. My son, three and a half, truly enjoy his afternoon at the Robot Museum and at Juguetronica.
Ana S — Google review
The staff is really nice, helpful and above all, they let your kids tinker with drones, laser guns and robots. This is why I review them as 5 stars. Kids love to be able to touch and experiment! My kids left the shop/museum with a couple of drones and a lot of enthusiasm for robotics. Thanks a lot! The tour is a bit too wordy, could use more demos, but it's good none the less. . The playing with robots session should be longer too IMHO.

The Magic Forest, located within the Kinepolis Madrid children's park near Casa de Campo, offers a safe and enchanting environment for kids to play. The park is themed like a big forest, featuring slides, trampolines, and never-ending labyrinths for little ones to explore. Parents can relax in designated seating areas while their kids have fun or even catch a movie at the nearby cinema.
This was a fun rainy day experience for our 5 year old. The Magic Forest is located in the Kineoplis complex, located just outside Madrid city. Prices fluctuate based on day/time. We went on a weekday and it was not very crowded. They have an option to leave your child while you go see a movie at the theater. The employees are actively engaged and keep a close eye on the kids. There are video monitors that show the playground in the back. There is a seating area for parents and concessions. This was our first time, and my only concern was that I would have liked to be more familiarized with the facility so I would know where my child was playing (in areas that i could not see). They have safety precautions in place to prevent children from leaving without their guardian.
Cynthia E — Google review
Great place to go with your kids so they can play in a safe environment themed like a big forest. They have slides, trampolines, and all kinds of fun things around. All the monitors there have been really attentive and made sure all the kids were OK and having fun. There is an area to sit down and have some food and drinks too. If you want you can even go watch a movie while your kid stays there playing. The price was not bad at all. Our kid loved it there and we will probably be back on our next trip.

The Museo del Metro Nave de Motores de Pacífico is an impressive museum showcasing gigantic, well-preserved engines that once powered the trains. It was built to address potential electricity shortages and improve the Metro network's service. Visitors can enjoy free admission and guided tours, where they can learn in detail about the functioning of these massive engines and gain insights into metro operations and design. The museum also offers a self-guided tour with informative posters for a comprehensive understanding of each machine.
It is the electric power station (diesel) for the Madrid Underground (Metro) during the early times of the Metro (beginning 20th century). Nice to see the engines used to generate electricity. It is just an industrial building with the generators (3). A short and curious visit.

We were at a mother's Day party today, we didn't like it at all, I'm sorry for the time and money spent, the area is quite far from us, we took a taxi on purpose, the place itself doesn't look very good, everything is old, unkempt, I accidentally saw an advertisement on Instagram for this holiday, we decided to go and regretted it, never set foot there again, The food in the vans is of poor quality, one fast food, we don't eat that, but it was included in the general admission ticket, the beer was even of poor quality and stale, and I don't recommend going with the cheapest sausage you can probably find. , and the holiday was boring, nothing interesting. The price for three people for admission is 53 euros , I do not recommend it, in general, one disappointment

Madrid City Tour is a hop-on, hop-off double-decker sightseeing bus that covers most of the city's major attractions. With recorded commentary in 14 languages and separate narration for children, it offers an informative way to explore Madrid. If you're short on time, the tour provides a convenient means to see numerous landmarks across two different routes. Additionally, taking a night tour allows you to experience the city after sunset, witnessing illuminated highlights and learning about Madrid's history during the Middle Ages.
I recently enjoyed a fantastic city tour in Madrid that truly showcased the beauty and culture of this vibrant city. The tour offers two routes: the first lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, while the second takes around 1 hour. Both routes are included in a single ticket price, which provides excellent value for money. The comfortable buses were well-maintained, allowing us to relax as we explored the city. Upon boarding, we were provided with headphones, which delivered informative commentary about Madrid’s most significant landmarks and history. The guides were knowledgeable and engaging, making each stop along the route feel special. The first route took us through iconic sights such as the Royal Palace and the stunning Plaza Mayor, while the second route highlighted lesser-known yet equally beautiful areas, showcasing Madrid's unique charm. The pacing of the tours was perfect; we had enough time to appreciate each location without feeling rushed. Overall, this city tour is a must for anyone visiting Madrid. It offers an efficient way to see the city, learn about its rich history, and enjoy the stunning architecture. I highly recommend it to both first-time visitors and those looking to rediscover the beauty of Madrid!

It was a little disappointing that the ride is no longer hop on hop off as this is what we wanted and it would have been better if the audio system worked properly. Madrid is such a beautiful place and it was a shame to have missed out on understanding some of the culture and landmarks. Stopping for a brief moment to capture these landmarks would have also been nice.

Amazing Madrid City Tour – A Must-Do Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent city tour in Madrid was absolutely incredible! From the moment it started, everything was organized, informative, and fun. The hop-on, hop-off bus made it so easy to explore the city’s top landmarks like the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, and Gran Vía at my own pace. The audio guide was available in multiple languages and offered great historical insights along the way. What I loved most was the mix of classic and modern Madrid. One moment you’re admiring the timeless beauty of the Prado Museum, and the next you’re strolling through the vibrant streets of Malasaña or enjoying tapas in La Latina. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buses were clean and punctual. This tour gave me a deep appreciation for Madrid’s culture, architecture, and energy. Whether it’s your first time in the city or you’ve been before, I highly recommend the Madrid City Tour as the perfect way to see the best of what this beautiful city has to offer!

Fabulous two line tour through Madrid. This is the way to do it, from above! The scale of the buildings is so impressive! Weren’t sure where to buy tickets so bought them at a nearby kiosk that was selling tickets for all three bus companies.

Tour of Historic Madrid — the route is interesting and the commentary is informative. Unfortunately, the roof is fully open and there are no fans, so you end up melting under the sun (I suppose this depends on the weather and season - we were early August). The headsets are of poor quality — only one ear worked, even after requesting a replacement and changing seats. This makes it hard to hear without blasting the volume uncomfortably high, and with the roof open you also get the constant roar of the motor and city traffic. Hopefully other city tours are better equipped. Overall, quite an unpleasant ride — better to visit a sauna; at least there you won’t get sunburned.

The generous space creates a less cramped atmosphere compared to smaller venues, allowing for a more relaxed throwing experience. The venue impresses with its wide range of axes to throw, including fun novelty types like Batman's batarang that add an entertaining twist to the traditional axe throwing experience. This variety keeps the activity engaging and allows participants to experiment with different throwing styles and weights. The convenience of being able to purchase food and drinks on-site makes Urban Safari a complete entertainment destination, perfect for longer sessions or group events where participants want to grab refreshments without leaving the venue. However, despite these positive aspects, I still prefer El Hachazo axe throwing because it has better point scoring systems that create more engaging competition and clearer progress tracking. Urban Safari delivers a fun axe throwing experience with excellent facilities and variety, though the scoring system could be improved to match the overall quality of the venue

Absolutely fantastic Tuk Tuk ride in the center of Madrid to see the Christmas lights. The guide was really friendly and explained some of the historic buildings and emblematic places to us. We went in a group of six and really had a blast. I took some really Great pics of the Christmas lights too, the Tuk Tuk is able to get really close! I totally recommend it to anyone visting or living in Madrid, we had loads of fun! Tip: Dress warmly as the Tuk Tuk is open!!

This was such a fun experience! I would recommend for anyone traveling to Madrid to try this if you are looking for something different. The staffs are accommodating and informative about techniques. I experienced three throwing techniques and tried out two types of axes for throwing! They also let me try out ninja stars and I play against them! The arena is clean and well organized. I had a lot of fun!

Teatro San Pol is a great option for spending quality time with the family in Madrid. The theater, along with other venues like Teatros Luchana and Sala Mirador, offers a variety of children's shows that are both entertaining and educational. With ever-changing performances featuring funny stories, magic acts, puppet shows, and songs, Teatro San Pol aims to make theater more accessible and enjoyable for kids.
The play was great, our children loved it. We bought four tickets and could not go to the play because one of our children got sick. We called the theater to talk about a possible refund or a new appointment. Despite the fact that they were not obligated, they gave us a new appointment.

Theatre is specially for children. There are several plays all for them which is great but we found some problems when we went with our two children. The scenario is good and high enough but the incline of the floor is really not big enough so if an adult is in the row before the children struggle to see, even with boosters. The sweet shop at the entrance was closed so you better bring your own treats for your little ones. I would also recommend being there a bit early as the space between the rows is small and moving around is not that simple, so the earlier you sit , the better.

This was pretty fun and the woman who received us really knows what to do on a large group so everyone can enjoy. She was really helpful with the explanations and attention. The place has other games like pool and foosball table. The beer is good and I'll be back for sure.

It was a new and super fun experience for us! Santiago, the staff member who showed us how to throw the axe, was amazing. Cathedral
The Royal Basilica of Saint Francis the Great, located in the heart of Madrid's La Latina neighborhood, is an impressive neoclassical basilica with a vast frescoed dome and chapel adorned with paintings by renowned artists such as Goya and Zurbaran. This National Monument, built in 1784 by Sabatini, boasts a 33-meter diameter dome that dominates the skyline. The basilica also houses a valuable collection of religious art and marble sculptures.
This is a really beautiful basilica. Unfortunately we were there too early to go in, but the garden alongside is nice with some good views. The basilica really stands out as you walk down the road toward it. As its not far from the main cathedral, its probably a good place to visit after that.
Andy S — Google review
A stunning, beautiful cathedral intricate in design, from the ceilings to everywhere you look. I discovered this cathedral by chance on my recent trip to Madrid - (July 2025). I was looking on Google Maps and discovered it by chance. As soon as I saw the pictures online I had to go. On Google, it said closing hours was 1.30pm on Sat but when I got to the Cathedral itself, the time was not accurate and it was actually closing at 3.30pm so I had ample time to visit. Normally I would bulk at the thought of paying an entrance fee to a place of worship but it's a small price to pay and probably goes towards the upkeep of the cathedral. It is visually stunning, on the top of the ceiling, before the dome itself, you will be able to see several of the disciples. There are angels and other images. It's so intricately beautiful. I've never seen anything like it. You can visit the area behind the altar which is adorned with different portraits/prayer rooms. Definitely worth a visit even if you're not religious, just to appreciate the architecture alone. What is amazing is the cathedral is quite plain on the outside and unassuming but when you step in the inside, you will be in awe. This cathedral I was more drawn to than the National Cathedral - Almundena Cathedral. The comparison is - The main cathedral is visually impressive from the outside main entrance as well as the side viewpoint opposite the Royal Palace but from what I saw online is not as ornate on the inside where as this Basilica is just down the road in a quiet area but stunningly beautiful on the inside.

Really stunning and worth visiting. You can hardly imagine how magnificent this Church is in the inside while the outside is rather ordinary. Thursday visit is free of charge. Better check the opening hours before visiting. Monday is closed usually.
Kevin Y — Google review
We chose to visit the Basilica of St. Francis instead of the Almundena Cathedral because it is seeped in history dating further back than the Cathedral. Well worth the entrance fee of €6 to stand in awe under the magnificent dome and see the precious pieces of art including paintings by Goya, Zurbarán and more. The choir and corridors we were allowed to roam were impressive. The opening hours are not straight forward. We visited on a Tuesday around noon and it was open. We were glad we were able to visit.
Linda B — Google review
Stunning church. The dome is awesome inspiring, photos don't do it justice, but the whole thing is amazing. Slightly confusing when you arrive, as the €6 entrance " museum " entrance fee is how you pay to enter the church, as well as the sacristy museum.

The Lázaro Galdiano Museum, located in the Salamanca neighborhood, is a grand mansion that showcases an impressive collection of 4,820 artworks. The museum was once the residence of Jose Lazaro Galdiano, a successful businessman and passionate art collector. His marriage to an affluent Argentinian woman allowed him to amass a fortune and pursue his love for art, literature, and publishing.
Well put together Museum with beautiful collection of art and objects. The palace is a piece of art by itself. There you will find dem medals, pottery from more then 2500 years ago to beautiful paintings from the XX century. Note that the museum offers more then a visit but its agenda offers music, dance and poetry in the evenings.

The free visit time here is from 14:00 to 15:00 in the afternoon from Tuesday to Sunday. No reservation is required, just enter directly. The staff is relatively friendly. The four-story exhibition hall needs to be experienced slowly, and it can be completed in an hour. The ceiling and armor weapons inside are wonderful.

Everyone fusses about the big three museos in Madrid but this is the Mueso to visit. Like the Frick in NYC, the Lazaro is in a mansion owned by Lazaro which now houses vast collection of gothic,Gothic, baroque masters, treasures, furniture, armor and one of the oldest elevators in Madrid. The current special exhibition is from Dora Maar. Surrounded by a gorgeous garden. Quiet and heavenly this is a must visit when in Madrid. Outstanding.

Located in the bohemian Barrio de las Letras in Madrid, Lope de Vega's House-Museum is a restored 17th-century house that once belonged to the renowned playwright Lope de Vega. The museum showcases period furniture, artworks, and charming gardens that have survived from the Spanish Golden Age. Visitors can explore the former residence of this key figure in Spanish Baroque literature and admire reproductions of furniture and ornaments mentioned in his writings.
Incredible little gem, very close to El Retiro park, and a short distance from Puerta del Sol. The visit and tour is free but you need to book in advance. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The acoustic is great!! The best are the yearly concerts of The God of Fortepiano, maestro Grigory Lipmanovich SOKOLOV. Awesome. Gorgeous. The most delicate sound. Mikhail Pletnev is amazing with his lyric way of playing, and the best of the Soviet piano school. Kirill Gershteyn is great, and it was nice to see that the orchestra in Spain improved in the last 10-15 years. With the "Overdosis of Rachmaninov" - absolutely impressive by Valentina Lisitsa, but with a national orchestra that could not follow her well, it looked like it was too much for the orchestra... It would be great to see more concerts of Alexandra Dovgan. Hopefully, Scherzo and Ibermusica would invite her as much as possible!!! The organ concerts on Saturdays are also wonderful, as the instrument sounds nice

La Gatoteca is a unique establishment managed by the nonprofit association ABRIGA, aiming to raise awareness about homeless cats and promote responsible adoptions. Since its opening in 2013, it has provided a space for visitors to interact with the cats, helping them socialize and receive human affection. While some visitors may not intend to adopt, simply spending time with the cats can be enjoyable and beneficial for them.
A fantastic cat shelter that allows you to meet and play with the cats for as long as you want, although the price will be amended accordingly. One drink is included in the ticket price. This is NOT a cat cafe, this is a shelter! The gentleman that booked us in was very knowledgeable about all the cats and very happy to answer questions. We were just visiting the cats rather than adopting and that was ok too. All the cats in the public area are in good health and well cared for. To our surprise we met a cat called Florence who has ataxia, the same rare condition my husband has. We were delighted to find out that Florence has been adopted and was just waiting to be picked up to go to her forever home. It was such a heartwarming story. There's a gift shop and cat supplies you can buy here too.

I really needed a place like this during my trip to Madrid, and it delivered 💛 I was feeling sad, but spending time here lifted my mood instantly. Located right in the city center, it’s a quiet hidden gem. You pay a small fee and get to play, cuddle, and relax with dozens of cats. The cats are super friendly – one even cuddled in my lap. We gave them some treats (Shanta style!), and they got extra playful. Best part? Not crowded with tourists, just calm, soft fur, and purring. If you love animals, this is a must-visit for cat therapy in Madrid. 🐾

With such a mix of good and bad reviews I had to check out Casino Gran Via for myself. Alex at the front desk was very nice and checked me in quickly (first time player). The casino itself is very nice and the temperature was comfortable. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional. There was someone coming by to get drinks on a regular basis at our table. There is a dedicated smoking area (at least on the 2nd floor) with the gaming area just outside of that smelling of cigarette smoke, but only in that area. When I cashed out (had a decent night at the poker table) I received a mix of large and smaller bills. The poker tables also had drink holders for every player. Would certainly come back when in the area

Had an amazing experience visiting this casino, staff here was nice as well. Earned fee bucks and ultimately lost them but overall fun it was

Casinos are casinos, right? You win some, you lose some. This place is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth it to go here even if it's just for the views. There are 3 floors, plenty of games, and a place to exchange your dollars for euros. They will store you bookbags and luggage for you. You will need your passport to enter. Also, just like any other casino, just be aware of your surroundings and be careful when you leave with your winnings.

This review is for the bar since we did not gamble in the casino. The bar staff was very friendly, spoke English. Recommended an excellent red wine for me, with a generous pour. My husband's gin and tonic contained a very generous amount of gin.

Unless you want to play at a table for higher buy-ins, I wouldn't recommend going. Not a lot of options and the place is rather small. It also stretches over 4 floors, so lots of going up and down if you want to play different games. Check-in was quick.

Casino is really pretty inside but I have to throw away my food and I couldn’t leave it somewhere. You have to pay 10€ for entry. Cashiers were so mean they act like they have to work as a punishment. You can change money for the ticket. At first there was a guy and he was kinda nice and could speak english then I went there again and there was a women and she didn’t understand me at all. She was so mean and she looked at us so judgy. Maybe it’s time to hire someone who can speak english?
Martyna — Google review
Cool casino, the building looks great inside, it’s well maintained and has a great atmosphere. There is plenty of machines and space between them, which is great compared to different casinos. I really enjoyed cash games and the ultimate texas tables. The service was great, drinks weren’t expensive.
Hubert — Google review
They will scam you. $8000 and chips taken away and not paid out. While it was all filmed, they said go to the police we’re not giving you anything knowing they won’t help foreign citizens.
