History Museums
Muzej Stari Most, located in the heart of Mostar, holds a significant historical and cultural value. The bridge was destroyed during the Bosnian war, serving as a poignant reminder of the conflict that claimed many lives and displaced millions. Despite its turbulent past, walking across the newly restored Stari Most and exploring the charming cobbled streets nearby offers a sense of tranquility.
A must-see-museum in Mostar. Offers a comprehensive view on the city’s past. The museum has two parts: the tower and the archeology part. Within the latter, you will see the reconstruction effort between 2000-2004. You will understand that the bridge is a marvel of engineering.
Michal B — Google review
There are 3 parts to it Zone A, B , C. Entrance fee is €10 per pax. If you would like to know more about the history and reconstruction of the Old Bridge, can check it out. Otherwise nothing more, panoramic view is not good at all as views are restricted
J — Google review
Uhm...can hardly call it a museum. It was only 5€ per person, but it was mostly infographics. The museum has two parts. The first part is on 5 floors. On the 5th there is a panoramic view. It's a bit misleading as there are no big windows, only several small ones. In the second part of the museum, you have to climb down the stairs and go through a port and down the stairs. The second part had just pictures from Unesco and some original stones the bridge was built with. We didn't feel like it was a completely waste because the entry fee was so cheap, but we expected more.
Katya K — Google review
Price has now gone up to 10EUR per person. That is a 100% increase from last year. You can harly claim inflation for this. It is now well over-priced for its size and content. History and education should be accessible to all, not used as a way to take advantage of visiting tourists. Sadly I remember a time when the museum was free.
Jade P — Google review
A small museum that presents the history of the bridge and the restoration actions after its destruction in the war with Croatia. Not very impressive, there are not many vestiges or artifacts to see. Predominant are the written or photo information. The view from the tower is quite beautiful.

Paul C — Google review
An excellent museum and well worth the €2.5 adult entry fees. You get to climb to the very top of the old tower and get a fantastic, pretty unique view down onto the old bridge (a great spot to watch the divers from!). The information boards were interesting if a little dry, a timeline would have been helpful to clarify the dates. You can then walk UNDER the current bridge construction to see the old foundations and watch a genuinely fascinating video about the 21st century reconstruction. We sat for over 30 minutes despite the sun outside! No info on the war etc, just the fact the bridge was destroyed.
Cas A — Google review
dont just take a picture of the old bridge... visit the museum. Entrance fee is very affordable. Watch the video showing inside the museum as you will get more information about the bridge... You’ll have a chance also to get a good picture of the the bridge when you go up the tower. And through the small window in the visual room.

Bodies of Water
Neretva is a small town known for the stunning emerald green waters of the Neretva river, which is said to be one of the coldest rivers in the world. The town exudes historical and cultural significance, with every corner along its riverbank holding a unique story. Mostar's tradition includes boys leaping off the 25m tall Stari Most into the cold and fast-flowing Neretva River below.
Very beautiful, clear water. Canyon is amazing. Rafting on Neretva is very nice experience
Adijata V — Google review
Beautiful. I just couldn't leave that place. My soul is blessed.
Vedrana V — Google review
It's a gorgeous Herzegovina river sourcing near the Konjic and finished in the Adriatic sea near Metkovic town. The river passes through five major places Konjic, Jablanica, Mostar, Capljina, and Metkovic. The most famous world bridge passes over the Neretva River and joins two shores, and of course, it's Old Bridge in Mostar, protected by the Unesco association.
Nebojša R — Google review
The Neretva, and in particular its delta, are a fascinating place to visit. It is a fertile area where primarily citrus and pomegranate farming exist side by side with extensive reed beds. It is a unique way of life lived between land and water. Who knows how long it will last or how it might change. The boat tours are well worth it to see what lies oit in the delta. A cuisine of eels, frogs fantastic stews is balanced with great wines and unique herbal spirits.
David A — Google review
My favourite river in the whole world! Emerald green, cool and with a differt mood depending on the season.

Truly beautiful amazing area a must see for anyone in the region!!

Neretva river is a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Although I swimmed here once,I wouldn't recommend swimming in the deep water because there are fish that could bump into you and that will spook you out.
Rejan — Google review
One of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful rivers in all of Bosnia. I really love it's color. It's pretty cold all year, but some people do swim in it, and it's popular with fishers mostly for catching Trout.

Mosque
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, dating back to the 17th century, is a significant symbol of Mostar's diverse religious heritage. This iconic Ottoman structure features a classic dome and a lower minaret, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship in its design. Founded by Mehmed Koskija and completed by his brother Mahmud, the mosque offers striking views of the river and the town.
Small entrance fee (15KM) for access to the minaret. They take cash and card. Mosque is beautiful and holds congregation prayers, with space for ablutions and has drinking water. Courtyard and top of minaret have stunning views of the bridge. The climb up the minaret is quite steep and narrow but definitely do-able (managed to get up here with a baby in a carrier without too many difficulties). View from the top is definitely worth the effort.
Shaheak C — Google review
Great panoramic view of the Mostar area once you climb up to the top. The staircase is very narrow, so it’s one-way up and down, which means the climb can take a while depending on the people there. The view is spectacular and worthwhile of the 8 Euro entrance ticket.
Wei-Ai T — Google review
You can pay to go in the mosque, and pay even more to go up the minaret. The entrance fee, which we thought was a bit steep, as the whole thing only takes you 15 mins. You do get a really good view from the top, especially over the town and the bridge so it is worth it.
Mat B — Google review
Nice, smaller Mosque you can visit in Mostar with a gorgeous view of the old bridge and old town from the minaret. Price on a Saturday in October was 10km for just the main prayer area, or 15km for both the prayer area and the minaret. Make sure to dress appropriately (no uncovered shoulders/knees, hair does not need to be covered) and respect the prayer times, so you do not disturb practitioners :)
Emma — Google review
A small mosque, far from the grandeur of those in Istanbul, for example. But she is beautiful. It is worth visiting first of all for the very beautiful view from the top of the minaret (beware, the staircase is narrow, steep and turns stereotypically in a circle; likewise the balcony, it is very narrow). Entrance is paid.
Paul C — Google review
The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a stunning Ottoman-era gem overlooking the iconic Stari Most bridge. Built in the 17th century, it offers intricate interior decorations and one of the best panoramic views in the city from its slender minaret. Visitors can climb to the top for breathtaking photos of the Neretva River and the old town. Peaceful yet vibrant, the mosque beautifully captures Mostar’s cultural and historical soul.
Dani B — Google review
Great views of the notable bridge in Mostar, it’s a bit of a walk up the minaret (89 steps) which you have to pay 15km to enter.
Adil N — Google review
If you like great pictures from an unobstructed view then it’s worth the 8 euros. I was the only one in the minaret and had as much time as I wanted.

Scenic spot
The beach below Stari Most is a popular spot for locals to jump from the bridge into the Neretva river, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1664. This picturesque location offers stunning views of the famous Mostar Old Bridge and provides an opportunity to witness daring divers plunging into the cold river below. Visitors can relax by the water, take boat rides for scenic views, and capture memorable photos of the iconic bridge.
Probably the best free view of the bridge & in the area generally. Not that accessible friendly but easy steps for most. Come around sunset for a very pretty view on a good day.
Aziz A — Google review
This is a great point to take amazing photos of the Mostar Old Bridge. If you are there at the right time, you may be able to watch a diver jump off the bridge into the river. The beach can be crowded too, despite the way to get here is quite tricky cos’ you need to go down some big stone stairs. But it is worth it once you get to this beach spot. Great experience, indeed.
Rahmah R — Google review
Great view of the bridge - can get a boat ride for 10€ pp which is fab too x
Jen R — Google review
Great place to take pictures of the bridge. Come early to avoid the crowds.
Sighting S — Google review
River with perfect views! Also you can sit closeby and get a drink or icecream. Plus there is people jumping to the river, but the water is cold. You may wanna rent a boat for 10 euros
Miriam G — Google review
Although a long walk down many steps, this little beach is well worth the trip. It gives you an amazing and unique view of the rebuilt old bridge with some of the remaining structure from the original “Stari Most” littered around the beach. It’s a great place to watch the men of Mostar earn their rite of passage by diving off the Apex of the bridge. Beware, the Neretva river has strong undercurrents and is usually quite cold. So enter the water with extreme caution.
Paul E — Google review
Perfect and free photo point for anyone interested in taking a nice picture! It is pretty easy to reach with minimal effort if you are at the bridge! Definitely a must if you want to post on your social media!

Bridge
Kriva Ćuprija, also known as the Crooked Bridge, is a smaller and older version of the famous Stari Most in Mostar. Built as a test-run for its larger counterpart, this bridge features typical Islamic architecture from the 16th century. With only one arch, it offers a peaceful spot to enjoy a leisurely meal at nearby restaurants.
This may be a smaller version of the main bridge, but it felt truly magical—especially at sunset. It’s much more peaceful and less crowded, offering a serene atmosphere. The setting is charming and beautiful, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops lining the bridge, making it a perfect spot to unwind and take in the view.
Mohamed A — Google review
It's like the bigger bridge, only smaller. As such it gets far less foot traffic, and it doesn't really lead to or from much tourist wise, but it has some lovely views and is more convenient for moving around. Did you also know this bridge is older than the more prominent "old bridge". They should call this one Older bridge.
Jake A — Google review
Lovely bridge, smaller than the iconic Old Bridge, but just as lovely, and not crowded, which makes it more of a hidden gem. Lovely to wander around this fairytale place.
Ana S — Google review
Small, historic, and utterly charming. It feels like walking into a storybook corner of the city, with a peaceful character all its own.
Cherry A — Google review
Tucked like a secret in Mostar’s old town, Kriva ćuprija is the quiet sibling of Stari Most—smaller, humbler, but no less soulful. Its semicircular arch leans with character, a graceful imperfection that whispers of Ottoman experiments and centuries of resilience. 🕰️ Built in the 16th century, this bridge was a prototype for its grander cousin. Though damaged by war and washed away by floods, it was lovingly rebuilt in 2002, stone by stone, memory by memory.
Laurence H — Google review
Beautiful bridge , similar but smaller than the Old Bridge and of course less crowd, the stream below it is also very nice and picturesque!
J — Google review
The Crooked Bridge in Mostar is a beautiful little landmark that feels like a peaceful counterpart to the famous Old Bridge. With its graceful stone arch over a small stream, it has the same charm and historic feel but without the large crowds.
Mat B — Google review
A smaller and mess busier version of the old bridge, but still as beautiful and charming in its own way. The stream flowing below adds to its beauty and looks amazing at night too. A good detour for photos when the old bridge is crowded.

Historical landmark
The Old Bridge Mostar, also known as Stari Most, is a reconstructed Ottoman-era arched bridge over the Neretva River. Originally built in 1566 and destroyed during the Bosnian War in 1993, it has been restored to its former glory and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridge holds historical significance as a symbol of connection between Christianity and Islam. Visitors can witness locals and adventure seekers jumping off the nearly 30-meter high bridge into the river below.
Beautiful, even on an overcast day. We didn’t see the river’s famous green waters, but the view was still lovely. The bridge itself is so full of history and beauty that you can’t help but pause and take it all in. A must-see when visiting Mostar.
Cherry A — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Old Bridge in Mostar is one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve seen. By day it’s alive with history and crowds, but by night it transforms into something magical – beautifully lit, reflecting perfectly on the Neretva River below. Standing here, you feel the weight of centuries of Ottoman architecture, war, destruction, and then the powerful story of reconstruction and resilience. The bridge is not just stone and water – it’s a living symbol of unity and survival. Locals still dive from it (incredible to watch!), and the surrounding cobblestone streets are full of cafés, craft shops, and welcoming people. Walking across the bridge feels like stepping back in time, yet the atmosphere is buzzing and vibrant. If you visit Bosnia, this is an absolute must. Come at night if you can – the reflections, lights, and quiet atmosphere are unforgettable. 10/10 experience that blends history, culture, and pure beauty.
Fawad F — Google review
Beautiful little old town, with a bridge that can be a bit strange to cross, due to the way the steps are on it. But some fantastic restaurants nearby and get this....loads of food and it costs peanuts, compared to eu countries. Well worth a visit, locals are lovely and welcoming.
Chester C — Google review
The iconic old bridge of Mostar, we enjoyed walking around the old town. The cobblestone streets were unique and the vibes and people were nice. We were there in July, it was crowded and hot but still interesting to see. We went on a separate day early in the morning when it was cooling and empty and it was nice as well. Mostar has become one of our favourite cities in the Balkans. Food is great.
Jane H — Google review
As expected there were lots of tourists visiting the Old Town area. The atmosphere was fine. Its a nice spot to take photos of the surrounding areas of the bridge. There was a wide variety of souvenirs as well as places to eat.

touch 👇 🇧🇦 A Day Trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina 🌉 Visited the iconic Mostar Bridge on a day trip from Croatia — and it was such a memorable experience. The old bridge, or Stari Most, is not just beautiful but also full of history and meaning. Rebuilt after the war, it stands as a powerful symbol of unity and resilience. Walking through the cobblestone streets and watching locals dive off the bridge into the Neretva River felt surreal. There’s something about the culture and warmth here that strangely reminded me of Malaysia — the hospitality, the blend of traditions, and the shared love for food and community. Definitely one of the most heartfelt and enriching day trips I’ve done in Europe ❤️
Nor S — Google review
Beautiful place of natural beauty. Lots of mosques, churches and synagogues, old town markets, war museums, and natural waterfalls. Must see Dervish house Balagaj, Krivica waterfalls, and glass bridge.
Thisisrehana F — Google review
Stari Most – the movie’s heart-stopping centerpiece. A single stone arch leaps 24 meters over the emerald Neretva, rebuilt brick-by-brick after war tore it down. Sunlight glints off the river as daredevils dive from the summit and pilgrims trace the scars of 1993. From the cobblestones below, it looks eternal; from the top, it feels like flying. Mostar’s unbreakable soul, captured in one perfect curve.

(Translated by Google) Mostar Bridge (Stari Most) is a historic stone bridge located over the Neretva River in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, built in 1566 by Mimar Hayreddin, a student of Mimar Sinan, during the Ottoman period. The bridge has great symbolic and architectural importance as it connects eastern and western Mostar. The bridge, which was destroyed during the Bosnian War in 1993, was rebuilt in accordance with the original with international cooperation. This restoration, completed in 2004, symbolizes the combination of traditional Ottoman construction techniques with modern engineering. In 2005, the Mostar Bridge and the surrounding Old Town were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. This title recognizes that the bridge has universal value not only in terms of architecture but also as a symbol of cultural reconciliation and peace. UNESCO exemplifies the Mostar Bridge as an area where different cultures met and post-war peace was rebuilt. Beautiful, even on an overcast day. We didn’t see the river’s famous green waters, but the view was still lovely. The bridge itself is so full of history and beauty that you can’t help but pause and take it all in. A must-see when visiting Mostar.

Beautiful little old town, with a bridge that can be a bit strange to cross, due to the way the steps are on it. But some fantastic restaurants nearby and get this....loads of food and it costs peanuts, compared to eu countries. Well worth a visit, locals are lovely and welcoming.

touch 👇 🇧🇦 A Day Trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina 🌉 Visited the iconic Mostar Bridge on a day trip from Croatia — and it was such a memorable experience.

Because of the history of the bridge we needed to visit this place. I've heard so much about the bridge in my younger years so when i was finally able to visit it, it really felt like going back in time. It has something magical about the bridge but on the other hand it is also a really touristic place. Definitely worth seeing the place, have a drink or lunch and maybe even buy a small souvenir. They also jump from the bridge which i was able to film as you can see in the video. When you nearby, don't skip but see it for yourself and judge ;)
Damien S — Google review
Stari Most – the movie’s heart-stopping centerpiece. A single stone arch leaps 24 meters over the emerald Neretva, rebuilt brick-by-brick after war tore it down. Sunlight glints off the river as daredevils dive from the summit and pilgrims trace the scars of 1993. From the cobblestones below, it looks eternal; from the top, it feels like flying. Mostar’s unbreakable soul, captured in one perfect curve.
A G — Google review
WOW! Mostar is a beautiful place, with rich history, and some wonderful ways to immerse yourself into the country. We happened to get there on the days before the annual Redbull cliff diving event, so it was relatively crowded, but added to the excitement of the day. Views of the bridge from the river level, and another bridge just outside of the old town are great, and it’s right near a lot of shopping and food. We loved our visit there!!

Mostar Old Town is a popular destination in Bosnia and Croatia, easily accessible by bus from neighboring cities. The area boasts Ottoman architecture, quaint stores selling local goods, and picturesque little streams. Visitors can climb the minaret of Koskin Mehmed Pasha Mosque for stunning views of Stari Most. The atmosphere evokes a Middle Eastern feel despite the Slavic population. The 16th-century Old Bridge over Neretva River is a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers fantastic city views.
I loved the old town, good size with variety of restaurants and coffee shops. Also a market with a big variety of things from Mostar. You will get a good walk while looking at the old bridge, you got a good vibe from the city.

Did a day trip to Mostar, B&H. The bridge is definitely a beautiful site to visit but otherwise the old town is very busy with the markets. Which isn’t bad but all the markets contain the same items. After some time, you just want to leave. Make sure to bring cash!

The shop is known for its special and unique collection of baklava and Turkish delight. Visitors recommend trying the baklava with Turkish ice cream for an ultimate sweet experience. While the packaging for small orders may not be practical, the staff is described as extremely helpful and kind.
Stumbled upon this wee shop during our trip in Mostar. We are absolutely delighted with the quality of their baklava and the hospitality of their staff. Highly recommended, try their signature baklava with ice cream.

To be honest this was a bit underwhelming. Recommended by our tour guide, we had high expectations. Also the outside facade looks very official and the same with seeing the inside. We got the Pistachio Baklava and Original Baklava. The taste was ok, nothing to stand out and also the portions were quite small. The higher price for this dessert wasn’t justified.
Josh B — Google review
We stumbled upon this little gem in Mostar and couldn’t resist trying their baklava. What a treat! Both kinds were absolutely delicious, but the pistachio cream one totally stole the show — rich, nutty, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!

We had a good experience buying some boxes of Lokum here but did not try the fresh baklava etc. they ONLY take CASH.

Terrible customer service!! I paid €7.50 for just 4 pieces of average-tasting baklava. When I politely asked for an extra box or anything to cover them, they refused and said it was against their company policy. They would not even give me a simple lid or piece of wrapping paper. The staff were rude and dismissive. It was clear they only cared about taking the money and getting rid of the customers as quickly as possible. I will not be coming back.
Aslı M — Google review
Worst baklava I‘ve ever had. It has no real taste, it is like it was really old. In good baklava you feel the many layers but here it is soaky and you do not get the typical crunch. For 6 pieces I payed 30 KM (15€), which is too expensive for this quality. I would not recomment this

Lučki most, located further south than the iconic Stari Most in Mostar, offers stunning views of the Neretva River and the city skyline with its numerous minarets. Visitors can capture great photos of Stari Most and witness people jumping off it during the day. Additionally, nearby attractions such as the Koski Mehmed Pasa Mosque, built in 1557, provide historical and architectural interest.
A short walk from old town and so worth it for the stunning view of the old bridge. We used google maps and it was easy to find, we were the only ones on the bridge at the time so I don’t think a lot of people know about it

This (modern) bridge offers views over Mostar's old bridge - aka Stari Most. However, divers club's white painted steel platform ruins the view of old town of Mostar - shall be moved away, out of this sight. ____ PS. Some reviews have mistaken this bridge for the Stari Most, but its's not it.

Really really beautiful structure. It will be packed with tourists during high season and its very slippery Its part of the experience. But the arch and everything, with the waters below make it a very beautiful place and I guess that's why it is so famous. Must see in Bosnia for sure!! Don't miss this place. Hands down the best food we’ve had in Mostar that we came here twice in our short couple day stay. Food was very tasteful, the platters with veggies and ajvar/kajmak pair perfectly with the meal. Our server with the dark hair the second time we came back could have been friendlier and more attentive but nonetheless amazing food and cute space. Would definitely recommend.

We visited on our first night in Mostar to try the national dish (Cevapi) and it did not disappoint. It was well cooked and served quickly. The staff did not speak much English (not that I expected them to) but there was little difficulty. We arrived early to ensure that we would get a table and waited around 10mins for an outside table (by choice) so that we could overlook the street.

Incredible, the best, thank you so much. We have been treated so kindly, served very quickly (after we had a seat, so be prepared that others want to enjoy the place too :)), and loved the food prepared for us. You get a lot in amazing quality so the only thing I find a little sad is that probably lots of people can’t eat it all. I will have the rest that can be taken home tomorrow. Highly recommended.

The food was really delicious at least for the adults, our kids didn’t enjoy it as much. However the staff is not as welcoming and the server was needlessly hostile for some reason. One of the best culinary discoveries in Mostar! The food at Tima – Irma was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS – every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with love. Café de Alma, located in the Old Bazaar area of Mostar, stands out as the only café where coffee beans are freshly roasted and ground on-site. The baristas here go the extra mile by demonstrating the preparation process and explaining the nuances between Turkish and Bosnian coffee. Tucked away in a quiet lane behind Tabacica Mosque, this café offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling main street.
This is a wonderful little spot right near the Old Bridge, hidden in the narrow streets – which makes it peaceful and a perfect escape from the busy crowds. A lovely girl explained the process of making Bosnian coffee and how to drink it properly. It was so interesting that we ended up having three cups each and stayed there for hours. Highly recommend stopping by for a taste of REAL Bosnian coffee!

I came in here in the late morning to enjoy a traditional Bosnian coffee, and that is exactly what I received. The woman working there took the time to explain the ritual behind a traditional coffee experience, some of the science behind making and enjoying the coffee, plus the cultural/social ways you should enjoy the coffee. The Turkish delight that came along with the coffee may have been the best one I've ever had, too! It was very relaxing, friendly, and enjoyable all around. Good prices and tasty coffee. Nestled in the heart of Mostar, the Sniper Tower stands as a haunting reminder of the city's tumultuous past. This once-functional building, now a captivating miniature attraction, is marked by bullet holes and remnants of its former life. Visitors can explore this poignant site that played a significant role during the siege, offering a glimpse into history through its abandoned walls and eerie atmosphere. The Sniper Tower serves as both an intriguing landmark and a solemn tribute to resilience amidst conflict.
Insightful little bit of Bosnian history to be experienced in this building. You can see here the remnants of what used to be the spot where innocent lives would be taken by defence forces, very chilling. There is plenty of street art around the base of the building, but the best works are inside. It’s fairly easy to get in even though there’s no official entrance, just walk around the base and toward the back of the building (where the flats are), you will see spots to enter. I have added a picture of the spot I used (March 2025). Then, just be wary of climbing the staircase as it’s no rails, but otherwise it’s completely safe. Come at sunset for a pretty picture. Sporadically there may be people here who sleep rough or use the place for substances, as you can tell from the trash inside, so probably avoid going here late at night.
Aziz A — Google review
Wide open front gate, no trouble getting in. There were 20+ tourists inside, easy to explore, lots of garbage and mess but very cool!

Building facade is riddled with bullet holes, a poignant reminder of the grim past. Wiki article explains the significance of this building during Bosnia war. There's barricade so can't access the interior anymore but touring the fascade is interesting enough. Some graffiti artworks cleverly use the bullet holes as part of the art.

Standing tall beside Mostar’s legendary Old Bridge, Halebija Tower isn’t just a historical landmark—it’s a quiet guardian watching centuries of footsteps cross the Neretva. Its weathered stones echo with Ottoman whispers and river songs, anchoring the bridge’s drama with stoic grace. Though you can’t climb inside, its presence is felt in every photo, every pause on the bridge. It’s the kind of structure that doesn’t shout—it hums. Lovely lady at the place … brought a book and watched the war video, pictures in the shop of the war are quite moving, very real

Wish I had seen the one-star reviews here before I went in… One would expect the 10€ fee would provide some decent quality of videos and photos. A total disappointment. Not worth it … Not to mention the absolutely rude management guy!
Bonnie L — Google review
Uncomfortable experience. Video shown was short but ok. Then the owner turned up and was very overbearing and tried to get us to pay more than the fee which was already steep. He opened a large wooden box and showed us his war wounds and asked us to pay double the 10€ fee each to support his cause. Do not recommend even entering as difficult to get out of.

(Translated by Google) Don't trust what you are told before entering (you can just look at the books), you are forced to watch a film lasting a few minutes showing the destruction of the bridge, without explanation or context. The owner then literally rushes at you to demand that you give money. He demands at least 10 euros, less would be just “enough to buy a pizza” according to him. The tragedies that affected the people of Bosnia and their heritage deserve more explanations and dignity than this type of forced memory scam! Go to a real museum or make a donation to an association but avoid this tourist trap at all costs! (Translated by Google) Total scam!! Aggressive owner. Absolutely avoid. The price displayed when we entered the bookstore to see the exhibition was €10 per person. Given the price, my partner and I were hesitant. The manager encouraged us to go in, telling us we could give whatever we wanted upon leaving, or even nothing if we didn't like it. He sat us down in front of a 3-minute film, composed exclusively of footage of the destroyed bridge and without any words... a video that wasn't edited by the bookstore at all and that can most likely be found on YouTube. We learned nothing at all. It's truly awful. As we were leaving, the manager asked us for money. We still gave him the change we had. He became very aggressive, telling us that people usually give more. We left as quickly as possible. (Original) Arnaque totale !! Nesuh Ağa Vučijaković is originally from Ljubuški. In addition to the mosque in Ljubuški, this foundation also built a school in the city and stipulated that the bridges over Radobolja and Trebižat would be repaired with the revenues of its foundation. In 1889, the properties belonging to this foundation included five shops and a cemetery opposite the mosque. Nesuh Agha Vučijaković Mosque is one of the three domed mosques in Mostar. It belongs to the early Istanbul style of Ottoman architecture. The mosque was closed in 1941. It was used as a city warehouse in the late 20th century, then completely abandoned. During the 1992-95 war, the building was heavily damaged and its courtyard was turned into a martyrdom. The tomb of Mehmed Agha Kreho was moved from the courtyard of Kjosa Yahya Hodja Mosque to this martyrs' cemetery area. The mosque was restored in 1997/98. (Translated by Google) The Nesuh-aga Vučjaković Mosque, also known as the "Mosque under the Linden Tree", was built in 1564. Its founder, Nesuh-aga Vučjaković, was the dizdar of the Ljubuški fortress and a significant figure in the Ottoman period. According to the endowment deed, in addition to the mosque, he also founded a mekteb, and left significant funds for the maintenance of religious buildings and infrastructure, including the bridges on Radobolja and Trebižat. The mosque is one of the rare examples of domed mosques in Mostar, along with the Karađoz-beg and Koski Mehmed-paša mosques. It was built in the Ottoman style, with a single-space prayer space under a dome, an external porch, and a slender minaret leaning against the right side of the building. A distinctive feature of this mosque is the influence of Mediterranean architecture, visible in details such as window frames, consoles, and portals, which reflect the Gothic and Romantic styles. The mosque served its purpose until 1941, when it was closed and converted into a warehouse. After World War II, it was restored and used as a section of the Archives of Herzegovina. During the last war of 1992-1993, the mosque was significantly damaged, and its minaret was shortened almost to the šerefe. It was restored in 1998 and returned to its original purpose, and today it serves the faithful again. The mosque's harem was converted into a martyr's cemetery during the war, which further emphasizes its importance as a place of remembrance and spirituality. In 2004, the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared the Nesuh-aga Vučjaković Mosque a national monument. This decision confirms its importance in the cultural and historical context of Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Carinski Most, originally named King Carlos Bridge and later renamed King Alexander Bridge and Ribarski most Ivo Lola, was constructed by Austro-Hungarian soldiers and prisoners of war in 1918. The bridge offers a stunning view of the turquoise blue waters below, with more pronounced rapids creating a dramatic effect on the serene surroundings. It is often compared to its more famous sister, the Stari Most.
This bridge is just as stunning as her more famous sister, the Stari Most. The rapids are more pronounced below this bridge, hence creating a more dramatic effect to the serene surroundings.

Cafe Secerluk is a hidden gem that offers an unparalleled view of the Old Bridge, making it a perfect spot for a coffee break. Tucked away from the main street, this cafe provides a mesmerizing backdrop of the river and the oriental charm of Mostar. The decor perfectly complements the aesthetic of the city. While they primarily serve mocktails, some visitors found them overly sweet and preferred to stick with traditional Bosnian coffee or Turkish tea.

hidden gem just behind the vibrant Basar, with a stunning view of the iconic Old Bridge. While you’re there, don’t miss exploring the Basar — home to one of the most charming little shops in Mostar, offering beautiful, handpicked souvenirs inspired by the Old Bridge, local heritage, and timeless Bosnian craftsmanship. Inside, you’ll be welcomed by warm, smiling young Bosnian hosts, always ready to help you find the perfect gift — or simply share a kind word and a genuine smile to brighten your day. You can also rent a kayak through the same shop and enjoy an unforgettable adventure on the Neretva River — at a calmer, safer section near Jablanica, just 40 minutes from Mostar on the road to Sarajevo. Check out @noa_bih on Instagram — it’s a beautiful way to discover Bosnia and Herzegovina through what makes it truly special: its nature and its people.

We had the morning walking tour yesterday with Arnella. She was an amazing guide. Took us around the old town and showed us the important and cool spots like the old tower and even the best Ice cream shop there. She went through a lot of important history of Bosnia and Herzegovina including the recent war/genocide with personal experience perspective and experience of the atrocities that occurred. She was very passionate about her country and the work she does and managed to address the difficult topics in a light hearted way. Highly recommend this tour.

The location was good, and the room was spacious. There was no hygiene shower in the toilet, which was a bit inconvenient. The building has a nice terrace and a place for parking. Wi-Fi was strong and reliable. However, we couldn’t leave our luggage after checkout, which would have been helpful. The owner was kind and helpful overall.

Purely wonderful! The highlight of this place is the Neretva river views - only 2 rooms have the view, the ones with balcony. Lovely experience just to enjoy the morning coffee or some wine or beer in the evening on the balcony, while looking at the therapeutic river. Mesmerising. The room is good, has refrigerator, tv, hairdryer.. no personal kettle, but there were some on the hallway, and we took one and put it back when finished. Also no coffee cups nor glasses in the room, but we borrowed some from the bar at the reception downstairs. Super friendly and kind staff. Private parking was a big plus. Everything perfect! ♥️

Perfect stay with perfect host. The location us great, all around you have shops, pekara that is open until late night, and is only a few minutes walk from the old bridge. The host was kind enough to wait for us until late night, because we were late due to extreme traffic on our road trip, and welcomed us warmly, gave us a map of the town, with tips, and marking on the map restaurants, bakeries, historic landmarks etc, despite how late it was. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable and spacious. We booked the room with street view and it was very nice. The parking is safe and the host is extremely good with communication, solves any problem in 2 mins if you text him on viber or WhatsApp. We thank our host for his hospitality! We spent only one night in this hotel during our motorbike trip across the Balkan. It was a very good choice, the hotel is modern, very clean and cozy. Its location is great, very close to the old town. We are especially grateful for the young nice receptionist lady, who ensured a safe parking lot for the motorbike, gave us welcome drink and gave useful tips about the city. Thank you very much, I am sure we will return!
Zsolt K — Google review
It was a pleasant stay, room was extremly clean, 10 mins by foot away from city center. The only flaw is when you turn on water to shower you need to wait a little bit longer for warm water to run. Host was really great. Also it is very safe place because you have private parking and the gate is always locked.
Bojan G — Google review
Not our favourite place after staying at multiple places in Mostar. We thought we booked the river view but ended up with street view The value for what you pay is not good compared to what you get at other much nicer hotels The rooms and toilets were old and there was no facility to buy water or coffee or anything At 12 sharp they started knocking on our door hurrying us up. Only one key was given so going in and out and unlocking 2 doors was inconvenient for two travellers with different schedules. I wouldn’t stay again and would not recommend this place.

Restaurant
Restaurant & Hotel Kriva Cuprija offers a delightful experience with great food and an extensive wine selection in a beautiful setting. The German-speaking staff is friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring Old Town, and the rooms are beautifully updated with all the amenities you could ask for. Dining at the restaurant provides an opportunity to savor flavorful dishes such as lamb cooked in a sac, served beautifully. The professional multilingual staff further enhances the dining experience.
Staying in this hotel (and in Mostar) was the highlight of our trip to the Balkans! The staff were so friendly and kind. One day my husband's glasses broke and they fixed them for him! The hotel itself is beautiful and located right in the middle of old town, it's so easy to walk everywhere. There's even an entrance hidden in an alley off of the bazar. We loved having breakfast every morning on the terrace right over the river. The spread at breakfast was delicious and they have espresso drinks, drip coffee and tea. I really can't explain how special this hotel is and how wonderful the people are.

Good morning to all the staff (I wish I could list everyone’s names, but I don’t want to risk missing anyone or spelling them wrong.) I write this as I dip my traditional Bosniak lokum biscuits so generously and lovingly gifted into warm milk. 🙂 Thank you for the lovely service. Every single member of staff - from the midnight shift to the morning and evening teams - was simply amazing. The team of staff at this hotel alone can turn a one star hotel into a five star experience, they work so well with each other. And this hotel is more than just a hotel - it’s a magical fairytale, waterfall within and cobbled stone surrounding it. I’m still trying to decide whether my last few nights were a dream or real. The location is incredible, with so many entrances and exits that each lead to something beautiful - the Old Bridge, the bazaar, the river, or the waterfalls. There’s even a 24 hour store down one road for any snacks, water, gum anything plus it accepts card! The breakfast was simple but delicious and hearty, providing the perfect energy to explore Mostar. I’m actually glad it wasn’t too fancy - it encouraged us to get out and see the city rather than linger too long! There’s a good variety of items, and you can even request espresso on top of the included drinks. The staff were always attentive - cleaning, helping, making everything smooth. The whole hotel, including room service, is truly top tier. The room itself was a surprise - the frosted glass bathroom door (with no lock!) caught me off guard, but thankfully there was a curtain for privacy. It might feel awkward when sharing with a sibling, for example - but I can imagine this hotel being perfect for a honeymoon. In fact, if I ever meet someone special (maybe a Bosnian who knows!) I’d love for us to spend our first getaway here. This was my first time in Bosnia, and honestly, I can’t imagine any other country matching the experience - not just because of this hotel, but everywhere. From the smooth car hire in Sarajevo (albeit the slow service but we did get upgraded to a brand new car) to the Lamb House in Jablanica and countless other moments - it’s all been unforgettable. Note: There is parking available just outside the hotel, but make sure to stay within the marked bays and pay, or you might get a 20 BAM fine (don’t ask how I know!). If you park slightly further back, it seems to be free - I parked there for three days with no issues. Overall recommend this hotel whether for one day or more if visiting this city is on your itinerary, this is the only hotel to be in to truly experience the Bosnian hospitality and the city of Mostar itself.

The location is perfect for exploring the old town of Mostar. One of the gates to the hotel is right off the Crooked Bridge, and it's only a 5 minute walk through the bazaar to the Stary Most. The room is comfortable and clean. Hospitality is the best we've ever experienced. They helped us to park, then carried our luggage from the parking lot to our room, refusing our help with anything. When we checked out, they picked up the luggage from our room and returned it to our car. Both dinner and breakfast were very good in the restaurant. We ate breakfast out on the patio with a gorgeous view!

Nice atmosphere! We had a table at a coner, so we didn't have a good view as many people posted. In the fish platter we ordered, the grilled fish was okay. However, the grilled vegetables were a bit too oily. The mixed salad was great. I was surprised that card payments are not accepted in such a good restaurant.

Had an amazing time at Kriva Cuprija. The hotel is located in the heart of Mostar - everywhere we wanted to go was a few steps away. The staff was also super friendly. We arrived quite some time before our check in and they were able to accommodate us early. During checkout they even gave us a parting gift. Thanks again for making our stay such a sweet experience!

I have no words for this amazing place to stay and to eat .rooms are so romantically beautiful right beside one of the bridges in the centre .the restaurant is beyond compare ,we had traditional “satz” and totally licked our finger ! Top of the top are the people working there !
Marianna S — Google review
Although it's a 4* hotel, it's hard to say the same for the restaurant. The service is very slow. I had to go by myself to give the order. Just for curiosity, I put the waiter in the chrono, and it took 15 minutes every time you asked for something. I noticed that some tables even if they come after us, they had immediate response. Probably they where customers of the hotel, but this in not an excuse for a professional. At the end things become little better. The food was fair. I thing the best was the starter. The day we made the visit, there was no a card option.....

Located in Mostar, Čardak is a historic site that once served as a soldiers' barracks and prison. Today, it houses the Dive Club and a small café with reasonable prices. Visitors can enjoy Bosnian coffee brewed in personalized pots while taking in the fascinating view of the Old Bridge and Halebija Tower. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it an ideal spot to relax and watch people jumping from the bridge.

But the way they present it is nice, they brew everyone's coffee in a special coffee pot and bring it with the coffee pot. And while brewing the coffee, I think they pour boiling water over the coffee in the coffee pot and cook it like that. The Turkish delights served in cafes with coffee were generally bad, they serve a simple, below average Turkish delight. I always came across the same Turkish delight throughout my trip. I guess there is no menu in the place, you get whatever dessert is available at that moment. The drinks are the same. You see the desserts on a tray on a table anyway. The place is quite small anyway, it only has 4-5 tables. But it is worth going just for the view, the texture of the place is historical and traditional, it looks very nice. It is right under the Mostar bridge. It has a window where you can see the river and a facade where you can see people jumping off the bridge up close. Mosque
Nezir aga mosque, situated in the historic heart of Mostar's Old Town, is believed to be the oldest mosque on the west side of the Neretva River. Constructed in the latter part of the 16th century by Nezir-aga, an Ottoman military commander and resident of Mostar, this charming yet rustic mosque stands near the iconic Kriva cuprija (crooked) bridge.
Nezir-aga's mosque is located in the historical core of the Old Town of Mostar. It blocks the area on the plateau above the Kriva ćuprija (crooked) bridge across the Radobolja river, not far from Stari most. It was built in the second half of the 16th century, and is the endowment of Nezir-aga, a Mostar resident who served as an Ottoman military commander. There is no significant information about the Nezir-aga endowment in historical sources. According to legend, he was the son-in-law of Nesuh-aga Vučijaković. So far, no legal document (waqufnama) has been found that contains all the information about Nezir-aga's mosque. Because of this, it is not even known what the wakif endowed from the property for her support. The mosque was built in 1550, the communists demolished it in 1950. It was built of hewn stone on a square foundation. The length of the walls is 10.20 m, and the width is 1.05 m. The roof is hipped under a slab. The mosque has a lobby (hayat) with sofas. In the front wall of the mosque (from the door) there are two, and in the other three walls there are four windows built on a frame. A 22 m high stone minaret was built next to the right wall. The renovation of Nezir-aga's mosque was carried out in the period from March to September 1999. After that, the mosque again serves its original purpose.

This is another historic mosque in Mostar, that was built in the 16th century as a gift to the city from an Ottoman commander. It is located nearby the Crooked Bridge. When we arrived to pray here, the mosque was closed, however we managed to perform prayers at the outside of the mosque. From the exterior it can be observed that it is a beautiful mosque made of stone blocks. May Allah bless the keepers of this mosque, and also those who prayed here. War building is a powerful and thought-provoking experience that reflects on the consequences of cruel wars. It serves as a witness to the effects of war, particularly the South Slavic war and the siege of Mostar in the nineties. The building, registered in UNESCO, stands as an archaeological remnant with bullet holes, evoking strong emotions and providing visitors with a poignant reminder of past conflicts.
It's a bit strange to walk around among houses full of bullet holes.

The Mostar Kravice Počitelj Blagaj Tours & Day Trips offer a chance to explore the nearby towns of Medjugorje and Blagaj. While Medjugorje may not have been a highlight for some, Blagaj's main attraction is the 16th-century Dervish House monastery built at the base of a cliff. Visitors have praised the local travel agency for its good reviews and well-planned itineraries, with Mr.
I recently took a day trip to Mostar and it was an incredible experience, largely thanks to our outstanding tour guide, Anel. From the moment we met, Anel's warm hospitality and deep knowledge of the region were evident. He guided us through the charming streets, highlighting the historical significance of each site, especially the iconic Stari Most bridge. Anel's passion for his hometown shone through his engaging stories and personalized recommendations. His friendly demeanor made the tour not only informative but also exceptionally enjoyable. Recently we went on a holiday to Morstar, Bosnia. I chose this local travel agency because of the good reviews. We started our trip from 6th November 2022 till 09th November 2022. Mr Anil was our tour guide and the itinerary that he suggested was good. The places that we visited and restaurants with the river flowing nearby were awesome. The food was also great and price reasonable. My parents and friend enjoyed the trip very much. We also went to Balgaj, Tekka, Herzegovina tour, Kravice Waterfall, Pocitelj and Sarajevo. I like all the tour. A lot of beautiful buildings, places to see in Saravejo too whereby East meet West and others places too. We will definitely choose this tour company again. I highly recommend it cos of the good price, helpful and awesome tour guide.

The Austro-Hungarian Fortress is a site that showcases the remains and ruins of one of the 19 fortifications encircling Mostar. These structures, built during the Imperial and Royal Monarchy, were constructed using stone and concrete and featured defensive and artillery positions. Despite being in a state of disrepair, the fortress offers an atmospheric experience that allows visitors to imagine the harsh conditions faced by those who inhabited it.
So atmospheric place... You can feel with your skin how brutal was the life of people who stayed in this fortress. The ruins are pretty wild, but the way to this place is so gorgeous, nature is very beautiful. You can observe surroundings from the top of the mountain and during the climbing. So, if you don't have big problems with legs and have enough time in Mostar - absolutely worth to visit! There's no entrance fee.

City Hall Mostar is a beautiful Austro-Hungarian building that has undergone significant transformations. It was originally an elementary school, which was destroyed during the war and later renovated into the town hall. The building's rich history includes serving as a gymnasium and then an elementary school before becoming the City Hall. Its reconstruction after the war transformed it into a symbol of resilience and beauty in Mostar, connecting the banks of the Neretva River.

The Sinan Pasha Mosque, located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a stunning example of Ottoman architecture. Commissioned by Emperor Suleyman the Magnificent and designed by renowned architect Sinan, this historic mosque stands near the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge). It has been a symbol of religious tolerance and cultural diversity in Mostar for centuries. The mosque's elegant minaret adds to its allure as it gracefully punctuates the city skyline.
The Sinan Pasha Mosque in Mostar is a remarkable example of Ottoman architecture and a true gem in the heart of the city. Nestled near the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), this historic mosque is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Mostar. One of the most striking features of the Sinan Pasha Mosque is its elegant minaret, which gracefully rises above the city skyline. The intricate stonework and detailed craftsmanship of the mosque’s exterior immediately capture the attention of visitors. The mosque’s architecture seamlessly blends with the surrounding landscape, creating a harmonious and serene atmosphere.

Really beautiful old mosque, perfect for salat
Fabien L — Google review
(Translated by Google) Beautifully ornate, small and graceful, located very close to the Old Bridge, the mosque has so much to offer! First of all, you can visit it. It is simple, but beautifully decorated, with a small balcony from which you can admire it from the inside. It has only one minaret, and the biggest surprise was that all tourists (including women!!!) are allowed to climb the minaret. It was such a beautiful feeling to be able to somehow enter the place forbidden to women, otherwise, to look at the old city from above! Even though it was raining, I couldn't get enough of looking from above, I could see the Old Bridge, the river, the buildings still bearing the wounds of the war, the people on the streets.... It's hard to explain, but it's overwhelming - I enter every mosque that can be visited, but I could never even imagine that I would climb a minaret. The fact that this is possible right in Mostar, in the old city, is even more beautiful! From the small garden of the mosque there is a point from where the Old Bridge can be photographed and admired in all its grandeur, and in the courtyard there is a small souvenir shop made by local artisans (not Chinese). I bought a really cool T-shirt with the Old Bridge. I also have to tell you how nice it was to talk a little with the girl who sold entrance tickets to the mosque - a nice and kind young woman, who told me that in this mosque the number of daily prayers has been reduced, precisely to be accessible to tourists who want to see it. "There are enough other mosques in the city, where prayers take place, it is important to open it to those who want to see it. It is a great honor for us". And for me it was and I left there truly happy, truly ecstatic. Bosnia is such a beautiful country! And so are its people! (Original) Frumos ornamentata, mica si gratioasa, situata foarte aproape de Podul Vechi, moscheea are atat de multe de oferit! In primul rand, o poti vizita .

The Crooked Bridge in Mostar is a beautiful little landmark that feels like a peaceful counterpart to the famous Old Bridge. With its graceful stone arch over a small stream, it has the same charm and historic feel but without the large crowds.
Mat B — Google review
It's like the bigger bridge, only smaller. As such it gets far less foot traffic, and it doesn't really lead to or from much tourist wise, but it has some lovely views and is more convenient for moving around. Did you also know this bridge is older than the more prominent "old bridge". They should call this one Older bridge.
Jake A — Google review
Lovely bridge, smaller than the iconic Old Bridge, but just as lovely, and not crowded, which makes it more of a hidden gem. Lovely to wander around this fairytale place.

Beautiful bridge , similar but smaller than the Old Bridge and of course less crowd, the stream below it is also very nice and picturesque!
J — Google review
Tucked like a secret in Mostar’s old town, Kriva ćuprija is the quiet sibling of Stari Most—smaller, humbler, but no less soulful. Its semicircular arch leans with character, a graceful imperfection that whispers of Ottoman experiments and centuries of resilience. 🕰️ Built in the 16th century, this bridge was a prototype for its grander cousin. Though damaged by war and washed away by floods, it was lovingly rebuilt in 2002, stone by stone, memory by memory.
Laurence H — Google review
A smaller and mess busier version of the old bridge, but still as beautiful and charming in its own way. The stream flowing below adds to its beauty and looks amazing at night too. A good detour for photos when the old bridge is crowded.
