Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is a must-visit destination in Kuah town, Langkawi. This iconic attraction features a stunning 12-meter tall eagle statue poised majestically over the waterfront plaza, symbolizing the island's rich heritage. Visitors can capture breathtaking photos against this impressive backdrop before exploring nearby attractions like Taman Lagenda Langkawi and indulging in duty-free shopping at local malls.
A must-visit landmark in Langkawi featuring a huge and iconic eagle statue. The area is spacious, scenic, and perfect for photos, especially during sunset. Great spot to relax and enjoy the waterfront view.
Sankar G — Google review
Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) is one of the most famous landmarks in Langkawi, but honestly, I found it a little underwhelming. The giant eagle statue is impressive to look at for a few minutes, but beyond that, there really isn’t much to do here. The area is very open with no shade, and since the weather in Langkawi is hot and humid almost all year round, it can be uncomfortable to walk around for too long. One of the biggest downsides is the lack of facilities. There are no eateries, no street vendors, and hardly any places to sit and relax. On top of that, finding a cab here can be tricky, so getting back can be a hassle. It feels more like a photo stop than an actual tourist attraction. The only saving grace is that there’s a mall within walking distance, where you can escape the heat, grab some food, and shop around. For me, that was the highlight of the visit, not the square itself. Overall, unless you’re really bored and looking to fill some time, Eagle Square is not a must-visit. It’s nice for a quick picture if you happen to pass by, but if you’re short on time in Langkawi, this is definitely a spot you can skip.
Kanza A — Google review
This is a huge open square, with lots of parking. It is an open waterfront like area, that one can hangout at. There are fountains, ice-cream shops and like some street shopping. The tourist highlight in this area, is the Enormous Eagle that this jetty is so famous for. There is lots of open space for the kids to run around or scooter.
Veeam B — Google review
Dataran Lang (Eagle Square) is one of the most iconic landmarks in Langkawi and a must-visit spot on the island. The majestic eagle statue is truly impressive and makes for great photo opportunities, especially with the sea as the backdrop. The square itself is spacious, well-paved, and beautifully maintained, making it nice for a relaxing walk. It’s also close to Kuah Town, with plenty of shops and cafés nearby. Whether during the day or evening, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy the scenery and capture memorable moments in Langkawi.
Joon T — Google review
I have visited Dataran Lang, one of the most iconic landmarks in Langkawi Island. The giant eagle statue is truly majestic and beautifully located near the waterfront. The area is very clean, peaceful, and perfect for photography. I took some amazing photos and videos here! It’s a great place to visit, especially during sunset when the view becomes absolutely stunning. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Langkawi!
Arafat R — Google review
Dataran Lang is one of those must-visit spots in Langkawi — the huge eagle statue is even more impressive in person. It’s a great place for photos, especially around sunset when the light hits the water and the sky turns gold. The whole area is clean, well kept, and has a nice breeze from the sea. There are plenty of cafés and shops nearby, so it’s easy to spend a bit of time just wandering around. It’s touristy, sure, but still absolutely worth seeing. The views over the water and the surrounding islands are beautiful, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed.
Shaheen S — Google review
A must visit attraction in Langkawi. There was a lovely view of the water and the island. The eagle, symbol of the island, is very big and beautiful. Very nice place for pictures. By the way, Langkawi means Eagle on the rocks!
Deepak P — Google review
Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is one of the most iconic spots in Langkawi — and it’s easy to see why! The massive eagle statue facing the sea is absolutely stunning, especially with the ocean and mountains in the background. It’s the perfect place for photos and to just enjoy the breeze by the waterfront. The pavilion area and beachside corniche are lovely for a walk, with plenty of space to relax and take in the scenic views. There’s also a well-maintained park nearby, making it a great spot to unwind or enjoy a quiet evening stroll. The best part? No tickets are needed, it’s completely free to visit! Just a small tip — try to go in the evening instead of noon, as it can get blazing hot during the day. The lighting at sunset makes the place even more magical. A must-visit when you’re in Langkawi — beautiful views, great photo ops, and a relaxing vibe all in one spot!

Kuah Jetty in Langkawi is a bustling ferry terminal offering services to the mainland and other islands, as well as duty-free shops and simple cafes. It is located in Kuah Town, adjacent to Eagle Square where a 12-meter-tall sculpture of an eagle with its wings wide open stands, reflecting the origin of Langkawi's name. The jetty is known for its variety of shops selling chocolate and perfume, along with several restaurants and cafes.
Iconic 12m eagle statue with stunning sea views, just a short walk from Kuah Jetty. Perfect for quick photos and a relaxing stroll. Well-maintained, free entry, great for sunset shots. Limited activities beyond sightseeing, but a must-visit for Langkawi first-timers. Nearby food stalls at Jetty Point are a bonus!
Prabhakar A — Google review
Amazed to see such a well maintained jetty which seemed no less than a mall. Big brands such as roosters, subway etc to have from . Also they have local shops to buy souvenirs. Lots of parking. One can book the local sunset cruise here.

Jetty Point Langkawi is a convenient and bustling gateway for travelers arriving by ferry. Located near Kuah town, it offers a variety of shops, duty-free outlets, and eateries, making it a great spot to grab essentials or souvenirs before heading to your next destination. The area is clean, well-maintained, and provides easy access to transportation and tour services. Whether you’re arriving or departing, Jetty Point is a practical and pleasant stop during your Langkawi journey.

We booked this place at the counter 2 days before we departed because we wanted to make sure that the weather was good. The lady at the counter was really nice. She explained everything that we wanted to know well and contacted with a captain on the boat to get a confirmation for our reservation. The view was spectacular and breathtaking. The buffet was not as good as you get at restaurants but the whole experience was worth it.
Yako Z — Google review
Visit the eagle and take the standard photo's however there is a beautiful park and ornamental gardens to the front. Look out for the arched bridge and the entrance to the park by the side. It leads to a viewing point where you can get some better pics of the Eagle.

Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall, Langkawi

3.8
(3598)
Shopping mall
Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall is the largest duty-free shopping destination on the island, conveniently located near Langkawi Jetty and Kuah Town. With over 100 retail stores, it offers a wide range of products including liquor, tobacco, perfumes, leather wear, cosmetics, sports gear, accessories and confectionery. The mall also features a food court serving local cuisine and various services such as money changers and a Tourist Information Counter.
Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall is a convenient spot for quick shopping and relaxation. You’ll find a mix of local and international stores, a few cafés, and a supermarket for daily essentials. It’s not a very big mall, but it’s calm and comfortable for an easy shopping experience.
Abdullah F — Google review
Mall looks depressing and not lively. We were out in under 30mins. Not many people except some locals and a few tourists here. There are not many shops around. 2nd storey of the mall only has a few shops, but items are of no interest to us i.e. Mr DIY (homeware, etc), Jakel (Malay traditional clothing shop), some shop selling Muslim headscarves and some gadget shop. Level 1 has Guardian, some brands like Levis, Giordano, Dockers, Adidas, Puma and Skechers.
Falsefast — Google review
Huge mall with few shops. This is probably the most decent "shopping mall" that Ive seen at Langkawi, however don't get your hopes too high. Major brands here but few variety. The Billion supermarket is within the mall itself. Really many items there and a duty free chocolate shop.
Aurora B — Google review
We were actually pretty surprised by the number of stores and how clean and spacious Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall was. There were brand-name shops such as Sketchers, Puma, Nike, Under Armour and Bata. This time, we bought a pair of socks from Puma (cute pair that resembled puma sneakers!), a panda float from Mr DIY (7.3RM) so that we could use it at Dash Resort Langkawi, My Melody towels from Happy Home (4.9 RM each) as well as a UV Umbrella for protection from the sun this afternoon (30 RM). Kate also bought some good deal *wink wink* here (59RM for 6)... For more details, visit 2bearbear today!

Quite a number of international brands but barely any visitors. Dont expect much
Ahmad T — Google review
It actually is a good shopping mall, but somehow it doesn't get proper attention from the visitors. It has a good set of shops, duty free drinks' and chocolate sections are good too. Spacious parking lot. The carved wooden peace in the middle of the complex is just magnificent.
Oleksandr K — Google review
Small mall with International brands like Nike and Adidas. I got some clothes from Levis. There is a duty free market for chocolate and alcohol. There is also DIY shop with a lot of things to buy. It is a small mall but nice when you miss shopping.

However, a recent visit painted a starkly different picture—it resembled a ghost town, save for the lively Billion Duty-Free Supermarket. Many of the shops have closed down, leaving the mall feeling deserted. The once vibrant atmosphere has faded, but Billion Duty-Free Supermarket remains a beacon of activity amidst the emptiness.

Grocery store
Billion Duty Free Supermarket is located within the Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall, the largest shopping complex in Langkawi. It offers a wide range of tax-free goods, groceries, and household appliances. The supermarket is popular for its affordable fresh produce and a variety of items including alcohol, sweets, tea, coffee, and chocolates. While it provides abundant groceries at reasonable prices compared to others in Langkawi, some customers have mentioned issues with trolley arrangement and crowded parking.
loved the place for its variety and prices but one needs a lot of tome in this mall to explore. keep up the good work.
Varun A — Google review
Best supermarket in Langkawi so far. Ample parking and this supermarket well equipped with so many things and brands. Mostly it’s cleaned and well litted and friendly staff at the counter. Recommended place to go and buy all your groceries need while at Langkawi
Stefanie C — Google review
Have so many kinds of foods and clothes, perfumes with reasonable price. Recommend to go. Our teammates buy a lot of chocolates here, especially Beryls with reasonable price and good taste
Thanh N — Google review
Store itself is ok, definitely can use more cleaning and organizing, but the bathroom in it was most disgusting one I’ve ever seen. I had to take a child to use it and worst smell ever. Don’t get me wrong I’ve traveled a lot and have seen bad bathrooms lol but at this type of store I would expect something better. Obviously there was no toilet paper and both sinks were broken so can’t even wash your hands and all the locks are broken too. So I’ll keep going to another stores .
Olga — Google review
You'll get everything from there. Fruits, chocolates, household things, clothes for adults and children. You'll get everything for day to day life but the price is not cheap at all!
Sharmin U — Google review
I visited this store frequently while in Langkawi. Very good range of local and international products, pleasant and helpful staff.

Came here looking for chocolate & liqour. They have a lot of varities of chocolate & liqour. But somehow realise that their price is not cheap as expected for both chocolate & liqour. Chocolate is slightly expensive compare to eastern and teow soon huat duty free at the day i visited. Liqour is much more expensive in value as liqour have higher value.

The market is open on Wednesday and Saturday nights, featuring an assortment of ready-to-eat foods, drinks, fruits, as well as stalls selling clothing and shoes.
Loved this place !! It was an absolute delight from the moment we entered !! It is a foodies paradise. We got here at 7pm on a Wednesday evening since we heard about Kuah's Night market. We walked in and tasted food from nearly every stall. The food seemed to have been prepared very hygienically and tasted absolutely delicious. There was such a HUGE Spread of various types of foods; Deep Fried Chicken, Raw Papaya salad, Satays of Chicken, Lamb, Beef Skewers, Udon noodles, Sea food platters, Ready to go meals, Corn roti desserts, Mochi ball bars, Prawns in different styles, Fish grilled, cooked, steamed, Curries, Raw fish for sale, Clothes, shoes, Toys , Bakery items, name it and one would find it there. This market was super surprise for our holiday adventure.

Night markets are a great way to explore the culture and food of the place and the night markets here are just too good to pass up. On the day we went, there was a food festival on going. They had a great variety of stalls and food items on show. The food was really good and we got to try many different items. Definitely worth a visit.

Come here at 7pm on Wednesday night Quite crowded Food: seems to be mostly local, reasonable price, but oily and too sweet for me The sausage is not good, juice: full of suger/ices (remind them no sugar from beginning). 3-5ringit/ small portions But I had quality time spent here with my friends
Thanh T — Google review
Just few minites away from where we stayed and blindly visited this place. Wow it was fabulous and tried alot of local foods. All we tried are delicious and reasonable. Friendly people are here around Langkawi and same we experienced in this market too. Recommending specially for the tourists who searches local experiences.

Picture 1- The night markets, bustling, diverse and cheap. Great place to spend an evening soaking up the local culture. Picture 2- the fantastic satay truck with the most delicious satay meat, the tenderloin in particular was amazing! Picture 3 - the stall that refused to serve a gluten free alternative, despite me explaining exactly what I needed, which was a coupel of ingredients simply left out. I won't let them ruin a great meal, as much as they tried to.
Carl R — Google review
Lots of stalls to get food from, all pretty cheap and good. There was a stall selling takoyaki, but no tako (octopus) which was disheartening. 😑
Emerson C — Google review
It was so crowded on Wednesday night. There are so many places that sell same stuff, deep fried chicken, noodles, Laksa, juice, baked goodies etc...
Yako Z — Google review
Great night market. Filled with local food for a good price. Noodles, fried rice, laksa, sup, murtabak, pasembor, drinks, fresh juice, all fried stuff, chicken, lamb, and some non-malay food which we didn't try. Only a burger once and it wasn't good. The best are the soups and fried chicken and local sweets.

Shopping mall
Perniagaan Haji Ismail Group (Main Outlet) is a renowned chocolate shop in Langkawi, known for offering a wide variety of chocolates. As a duty-free complex, it provides an array of products including kitchenware and baggage. However, it focuses on "halal" items and does not sell liquor or cigarettes. Additionally, visitors can find souvenirs like t-shirts and keychains at the kiosk outside the main shop.
A great place for you to buy chocolates! So many choices and the price is cheap too.

And if you go totally overboard, don't worry, they sell luggage too! 😂 The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they've got a great mix of local and branded dishware. Definitely worth a visit!

Full of high quality merchandise including international brands but most important is relatively cheap affordable to both the local and international tourist

This complex is still one of the most visited shopping places in Langkawi after all these years. Offering best prices on chocolate mostly, this store also sells beddings, kitchen ware and other household things too. To go to this place however, you must be aware of timing and season. During festival holidays or school holidays, you will probably have to set a different strategy to shop at this place. The crowd is normally high and you have to expect less parking places available.

Teow Soon Huat Duty Free in Langkawi is a must-visit for anyone looking to score great deals on chocolates, alcohol, kitchenware, and more. The supermarket is well-stocked and offers a wide range of products at significantly lower prices compared to the mainland, thanks to Langkawi's duty-free status. The store layout is spacious, though it can get a bit crowded during peak tourist hours. Staff are generally helpful and checkout is fairly quick. Chocolates and liquor are the main attractions here, with many international brands available at very competitive prices. You can also find household items, clothing, and souvenirs under the same roof. One small downside is that parking can be limited during weekends or holidays, so plan your visit accordingly. Also, product displays could be better organized in some sections. Overall, it's a great spot for shopping while in Langkawi — whether you're looking to stock up on goodies or bring back gifts from your trip.

Haroo Story Korean Restaurant is a charming eatery with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of authentic Korean dishes, served by friendly staff who provide excellent service. The seafood pancake is a standout dish, featuring a deliciously crispy exterior. Despite its unassuming exterior near a local market, the interior ambiance and delectable food make it a hidden gem worth discovering. The generous portions are perfect for sharing, and the spicy beef soup is particularly noteworthy.
Good value for money. The portions were big, tasty and full of flavour. Complementary side dishes, including kitchen, as well as a scoop of ice cream at the end. The service was good and everyone in the restaurant were polite and nice. Highly recommend if you like Korean food.

Hidden gem We did not expect much from a mall restaurant, but our lunch turned to be a highlight of the day. Cosy room with comfortable chairs and heavy tables, cute kettlery and plates. For the price that is just above the average, you get a huge plate of amazing food. Several small appetizers and an ice cream ball came as a compliment. Menu is clear and explains every dish in detail. And of course, i cannot not mention how nice and friendly the service was. I highly recommend stepping by

I know we’re in Malaysia, but the Korean food here is amazing. The cook is from Korea. Everything tasted authentic. The shop is clean and the server is very friendly. The price is reasonable and very close to all of the touristic attractions. 10/10

Firstly, the jigae comes in a big portion (I think is enough for 2 people), but it tastes delicious and the price is also reasonable. There is free small dishes served before the main dishes, and it can be refilled. Overall, the dining environment is cozy and not very occupied.

Indian restaurant
Hotel Malaysia Restaurant, located in the heart of Langkawi, is a delightful culinary gem that captures the essence of South Indian cuisine. With its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to quality, this eatery offers an array of fresh and flavorful dishes that are sure to please any palate. While many patrons rave about the crispy dosai and perfectly balanced curries, some vegan diners express a desire for more plant-based options on the menu.
I absolutely love this place, and I would eat here almost every day if they had more vegan options! The atmosphere is amazing, and the food is always fresh and delicious, but I found myself wishing there were more plant-based dishes on the menu. As a vegan, it’s sometimes challenging to find variety, and I know this spot would become a regular go-to if more vegan choices were available. Still, highly recommend it for its great flavors and vibe—perfect for anyone staying in Langkawi!

the very clean restaurant in Langkawi with very passion and dedication in Oder to give customers what their looking for,as a owner he has done his job well...his standard are very high for quality and authenticity....I came here with my family and had some excellent food. The thosai and The chutney spicy were divine! Loved the light crispy edges of the thosai and the curries were beautifully balanced between spice notes, flavour and texture.Certainly some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a while and the tosai looks like house tosai...first when we ask for tosai the owner bro said no tosai its meals time...but after I said ala.....he come back ask how many you want I said 4by2 he stright away take from fridge and make it for us...after eat the tosai with perfect gravy I asked for two more and my Appa said if his shop at Penang confirm will be highly appreciated by Penang people...Purchased a few items off their menu for Our family breakfast ,I had a really good food for the money I spend. An the last best part is the 90s songs which really make the feelings beautifully in that restaurant Highly recommended!

Korean restaurant
Haroo+ Korean Restaurant in Langkawi is known for its exceptional customer service and authentic Korean dishes. The restaurant offers a warm and cozy ambiance, with the owners personally attending to guests. Diners have praised the delicious food, such as the fried pork mandu, beef soup, kimchi pancakes, Bibimbab, and Japchae. Portion sizes are generous and can be customized to suit preferences. Guests appreciate the complimentary appetizers and desserts provided by the friendly staff.
I had a long time dream to taste authentic Korean food as I am a big Kdrama fan from South India. We got a chance to visit this restaurant during our vacation. We really enjoyed it here. I loved the way they treated us. The owner of this restaurant is really a sweet woman and her Mother too. We ordered Bibimbab and Japchae, it was so good. They customized Bibimbab as per our request. Portions are also huge. They offered a complimentary dessert which was also good. I always wonder if Koreans are as sweet as they are portrayed in kdramas, now I know, they are so sweet and respectful too. If we ever travel to Langkawi again, we will definitely come here.

They even served me a bowl of yummy seaweed soup when they know its my birthday, on the house! Thank you for the hospitality and will definitely recommend anyone to this lovely place.

Great restaurant. Familiar like Secret Garden but not sharply same though. The foods here are raw and fresh. Really great though. Libations were also great though and freshening! Price is average and affordable. Service is kinda slow but friendly though. Highly recommended for family outing, group outing! Definitely will come again soon.

We really liked this restaurant. Next to the night market. Run by a Korean elderly couple. Authentic Korean food. The sundubu is always one of our favourites to try and it did not dissapoint. It was great. We also enjoyed the grilled chicken and beef. The bibimbap was a generous portion. We also had the fried 'gyoza' as starter. Wow. Nice. Super friendly service. Good value for money.

Best customer service in Langkawi experienced so far. Served by a British and dishes cooked by Korean. Served with an appetiser and even with dessert without ordering. The fried pork mandu was superb and the beef soup was really soft. The pancake was nice and loaded with generous amount of seafood. Price might be higher then normal restaurant but definitely best in all aspect. Definitely no or very less MSG added in the dishes as you won't fill thirsty for the dishes you ordered. Worth for every single penny you pay for. However the interior lighting is really dark. Highly recommended and I would say it was an underrated Korean restaurant in Langkawi.

Day 2

West side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the west side side of town. Start the day off with Kilim Geoforest Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Splash Out Langkawi. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

National forest
Kilim Geoforest Park is a nature park in Langkawi known for its mangrove forests, lagoons, and beaches. Visitors can embark on boat tours from the jetty near Tanjung Rhu to explore the extensive mangrove forests with stunning limestone formations along the northeastern coast. The tours often include stops at Gua Kelawar, a cave inhabited by bats, lunch at a floating restaurant, and eagle-watching.
Took a boat ride through the stunning mangrove forest — calm waters, towering limestone cliffs, and rich greenery all around. It felt like entering another world. The tour included a stop at the Bat Cave, a floating fish farm, eagle watching, and cruising through the open Andaman Sea. Watching the eagles swoop down over the water was absolutely thrilling. The fish farm was fun too — you can feed stingrays and see various marine species up close. Tip: Go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds and heavy rain and enjoy a more serene experience.
Dhvl G — Google review
We absolutely loved our 4-hour tour of Kilim Geoforest Park — it was the perfect blend of adventure, nature, and fun for the entire family. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless and captivating. Our journey started at the Bat Cave, where we explored fascinating limestone formations and got an up-close look at the bats in their natural habitat — both eerie and exciting! The kids were intrigued and amazed, especially with the little torchlight adventure through the cave. Then came one of the biggest highlights: snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. It was truly magical! We even had the chance to feed the fish while snorkeling, and it was such a marvelous experience — the moment we began offering food, we were surrounded by colorful fish gently swimming around us. The kids were beyond excited, laughing as the fish got close, creating a moment we’ll all remember. We wrapped up with a relaxing stop at the floating restaurant. Though we weren’t very hungry, we enjoyed some fresh juices, and the kids happily munched on French fries. It was a peaceful spot to unwind, feed the fish in the enclosed pools, and just enjoy the serene surroundings. Tips for future visitors: • Bring enough water and snacks for the kids — the excitement and sun can tire them out quickly. • Take some bread with you — perfect for feeding the fish, both while snorkeling and at the restaurant. • Don’t forget sunscreen — you’ll be out in the sun quite a bit, especially during snorkeling. • Bring your own snorkeling gear if you have it. Otherwise, you can rent equipment on-site. Overall, Kilim Geoforest Park gave us a beautiful mix of adventure, education, and fun. A fantastic experience for families — we’ll definitely be back!

A must-visit natural wonder in Langkawi! Kilim Geoforest Park is one of the most breathtaking and educational experiences in Langkawi. The entire boat tour through the mangroves is absolutely mesmerizing — a perfect mix of stunning scenery, wildlife, and peaceful nature. The limestone formations rising dramatically from the water are a true sight to behold, and the lush mangroves create a calm and refreshing environment. Our guide was very knowledgeable, explaining the park’s ecosystem, mangrove trees, and wildlife in detail. We got to see eagles swooping down to catch fish, monkeys near the riverbanks, and even some bats resting in the dark caves. The stop at the Bat Cave and the floating fish farm was really interesting and added variety to the trip. The boat ride itself was smooth and enjoyable, winding through narrow mangrove passages and opening up into wide lagoons with turquoise water. It’s also a great spot for photography — every turn offers a postcard-perfect view! What makes Kilim Geoforest Park truly special is how it combines nature, education, and adventure in one experience. It’s suitable for families, couples, or even solo travelers who love nature and want to see a different side of Langkawi beyond the beaches. ✅ Tips: Book a shared or private boat tour at the jetty (various price options). Bring sunscreen, hat, and mosquito repellent. Go early in the morning to enjoy cooler weather and fewer crowds. Don’t forget your camera — the views are spectacular! Overall, Kilim Geoforest Park is a must-do experience in Langkawi — a UNESCO-recognized treasure that showcases Malaysia’s rich natural beauty at its best

Amazing experience. Lots of activities like fish farming, eagle spotting and feeding, lil tour in the Andaman. There are more options to explore too like kayaking, bat caves etc. The boat rides are available as shared option or private boats too. The boat driver explains everything so carefully. Totally recommend. Depending on your time, you could select time duration too but that may not be possible in case you take shared ride option.

Really beautiful mangroves. We got to spend time enjoying the mangroves by kayak and seeing the eagles. We also saw a monkey and 2 snakes which I was less thrilled about and when we were at the floating restaurant there was a family of otters frolicking nearby. Humans ruin the bat cave by not following the rules as there were people talking VERY loudly and shining bright lights everywhere despite the sign at the entrance saying not to do these things.
Brigid W — Google review
We enjoyed our visit here. However there were a few issues. We wanted to see the crocodile cave as we thought there were crocodiles in there. But we came to know that there was a small cave with some crocodile-shale rocks. Even we could not see that since there was tide in the water and we even didn't go inside the cave. But we paid for this. Also, we went for snorkeling. It was too short. Around 15 minutes and the water was so unclear that nothing was visible. See the video attached. The boat man, though, was very friendly and helpful explained a lot about everything and we enjoyed. The fish farm was nothing insteresting. So small and not many fish. All normal and we didn't find anything interesting

So worth it! - one in a lifetime experience. - the staf also so cool and always reply to our questions and requests. - the view is phenomenal. - but the Gua Kelawar is under construction, so cannot go around it.

Must do . It's has some amazing views. Take a private one for 4 hours. It's great. Didn't like Fish farming much as it was very smelly. Mangrove and bat caves were good and so was eagle watching. Visit to beach is a must do in Andaman ocean . Do visit the UNESCO heritage cave which is just 20 steps walk. It's scary but it's a good visit. Do checkout the sleeping beauty bed. It's a secret. And do read the mystical story of Chinese queen and rome prince . You will see a walk path made in middle of ocean joining beach. DO NOT Walk on the boat platform . It extremely slippery and there is no support to save you from getting inside ocean. I almost lost my balance. Do not walk on platform at end of walk. Posted pic for your reference .

Idaman Suri is a shopping destination in Langkawi that consists of two buildings, each specializing in different items. One building offers household linen, bags, and handicraft items while the other focuses on kitchen items and tableware. Visitors can find bargains on silverware and enjoy ample parking. The selection of kitchenware is colorful and beautiful with affordable prices, offering a variety of designs from brands like Tefal and Corelle.
A very well arranged establishment. Their goods are very good quality but the price is good compared to the quality of the item sold. Wife bought 2 container for baking which can straight away serve right from the oven. Will definitely come back again to purchase more of their items. Beautiful design, looks expensive with food quality but with good price. Definitely a must for those who likes cooking and serving people with beautiful service dishes They also sells towels and bed linens which have different grades.

Idaman Suri roughly translates into ‘Queen’s dream’. A medium size retailer for kitchenware, homeware, home deco and some packaged snacks (mostly savories). This retailer has been around for nearly 40 years, and grown over the years. A Langkawi shopping staple. But quality of their products has dropped over the years, with mostly made-in-China items on sale nowadays.
Juzar M — Google review
Very nice shopping place, feel like inside a mall. But there are not chocalates or food sell inside. Mostly sell kitchenwares, souvenirs, bags, comforters, beddings etc.

Heaven on earth for a woman! I like this place so much! Every time I visit Langkawi this is the must-go place in my wish list. The selection of kitchenware is amazingly colorful yet beautiful. Stunning but at affordable prices. The Tefal, Corelle offers a variety of designs. Recommended for a kitchenware's lover.

Sad to see how gloomy this place has become. We were the only one there.. in fact, we went to get original Corelle but found mostly Idaman Suri’s brand instead. Not sure if all their imported goods are original (or are they selling defects?). Yet we could’ve spent more than just a single set of Corelle but what put us off was the staffs — they look like they’re forced to work. Long bitter face, not a single smile! We felt unwanted. Not to mention how lazy they were when asked for assistance. Especially the one covering corner for Corelle (right side) on 24/9/23. Well, we were offended by her constant sigh and bitter face. Then we realised, the whole store, that’s like a theme for the staffs! Not sure what is happening but they gotta do something bout it. We left as quickly as we could having such devastating experience.

Quite disappointing as everyone seems to recommend this place for shopping. Thought that it’s a big shopping mall. Nothing much to shop for. Just walk around then leave. Surely I will not return to this place in my next visit to the island.

Langkawi Parade is a small, very localized mall. You can easily walk through the whole place in about 30 minutes. Water park
Theme park
Splash Out Langkawi is a newly opened 5-hectare water-themed park offering thrilling rides, including a towering slide that winds through tunnels and ends with a splash into the water. It's perfect for families with children and has various dining options. The park recommends buying tickets online in advance to save money. There are some restrictions such as no outside food or water, but lockers are available for rent. The park offers attractions suitable for both adults and children without long waiting times.
Some facilities weren’t open during our visit, but my kids still had a great time! The place has a lovely view, friendly staff, and it wasn’t too crowded, which made it quite relaxing overall. Just a heads-up for parents: kids above 120cm are charged adult price, and outside food and drinks aren’t allowed. Parking was easy and convenient.
Lee G — Google review
This is by far the worst water park I’ve ever been to. After making the trip (the park is not close to the main tourist areas), we arrived only to discover that the vast majority of slides were closed. The website gives no warning about this, so you only find out after you’ve already arrived. Since there was a discounted ticket price and three slides I wanted to try, I decided to give it a go. The first slide was fun, but then came the unpleasant surprise: the other two slides that staff at the entrance assured me were open turned out to be “closed.” When I asked the lifeguards (who were resting in a hut), they casually told me the slides were under maintenance. After some awkward back-and-forth, hesitation, and blank stares, they suddenly decided to open one — allowing me, my partner, and two others to ride it before closing it again. When I wanted to go again or try the other slide, I was told it was only possible if there were three or four people. This requirement was nowhere in the posted rules. Honestly, it felt more like the staff simply didn’t want to work. I don’t entirely blame them — they seemed quite demotivated — and the ultimate responsibility lies with the park’s management and ownership. The facilities themselves look worn out, neglected, and almost post-apocalyptic. There is no proper maintenance, no transparency, and no sense of customer care. Overall, it was a terrible and disappointing experience. I left feeling scammed, and I strongly advise tourists to avoid this water park and its unpleasant surprises until major improvements are made.

We went mid week and had some rainy weather. Still really good despite two slides being out of action due to maintenance. This water park operates 1 section of the park at a time in a time slot with many time slots throughout the day. The staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. There is locker hire and food and drinks available.
Andrew — Google review
Went here in the off season shortly after it opened on a weekday and we were the only people there for the first hour or so! Some decent slides etc although they were open at different time slots. A couple of closed rides that were under maintenance. Kept us entertained for a couple of hours. The staff were friendly.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast spot in Langkawi, look no further than Restoran Padang Pasir, conveniently located near Hotel Citin. This charming eatery is open 24 hours a day, making it an ideal choice for any meal at any time. Known for its authentic nasi kandar and various Indian dishes like roti canai and tandoori chicken, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly service.

If u want to eat mamak food in Langkawi come here. Was craving for tosai and was looking for a place to eat it and finally came across this restaurant at Kuah. The service was friendly, place was clean and the food was tasty. I was so hungry for tosai that I forgot to take picture if it but it was a good tosai and there was coconut chutney too. A must sauce for any tosai. They have roti canai, chapati and nasi kandar too. We took nasi with beef, fried chicken and bitter gourd vege with mixed gravy on the rice and it tasted wonderful. My daughter ate roti canai and then had 2 apams which was tasty and soft in the middle. Will definitely come here again for my tosai craving.

Last night we had dinner here. We have ordered 2 masala dosa, 2 appam, 1 egg fried rice and 1 Tea. The food is terrible, too much un hygiene. Potato curry inside masala dosa has spoiled and smelling, egg fried rice with very bad smell. All food wasted, if you want to have a healthy and hygiene food, avoid this place. If you want a cheap food, can go here.

Idamanriah Cafe Roti Canai is a beloved breakfast destination nestled in Pekan Kuah, Langkawi, right next to the quiet Plaza Langkawi. For over 15 years, this charming spot has been a go-to for locals and visitors alike seeking authentic Malaysian cuisine. The cafe's signature dish, nasi lemak daun pisang, features delightfully soft rice that keeps patrons coming back for more.
Serve delicious roti canai. Fast service. Recommended stall especially for breakfast. Lontong, roti canai all goods. Under tree calm place.

Idamanriah Cafe is a well-known breakfast spot in Pekan Kuah, Langkawi, located beside the seemingly abandoned Plaza Langkawi. For the past 15 years, this has been a must-visit place for breakfast every time I come to Langkawi. One of its most popular dishes is the nasi lemak daun pisang, known for its incredibly soft rice. However, the sambal isn’t quite the same as it used to be. Despite this, it remains a local favorite. Another crowd-puller is the roti canai, which often has long queues. The roti is soft, served with a thick, flavorful dal sambal. Other breakfast options include nasi goreng, mi goreng, lontong kuah lodeh, ayam goreng, and gulai ikan. Occasionally, there are traditional kuih such as kuih talam and seri muka available. Parking is generally easy, with ample spaces around Plaza Langkawi, though you may have to walk a little. The latest addition to the experience is a busker performance right beside the warung, adding a lively atmosphere to the morning meal. Overall, Idamanriah Cafe continues to be a solid choice for breakfast in Langkawi, blending nostalgia with a still-consistent variety of dishes.

I had breakfast here since it was near my hotel. Didn’t expect it to be this good. Food was super good and price was cheaper than I thought. Their staff was friendly too & was very generous. Their lontong was recommended too. Roti canai’s texture was super fluffy & crunchy on the outside with the mixture of great taste dalca dips. I would come again soon when I visit langkawi next time. Super recommended.

If you are craving to hit on local cusine at a place supported by local, this is the place for you. Roti canai (aka roti prata in other places) was chopped up and rather delicious. Not too oily and very bouncy. Do ask for the more spicy fish curry if not the default is a pea-paste vege curry which is sweet but too bland for my taste. We had 2 egg and 3 plain, + 1 tea tarik, totally rm10+. Went there 3 times for breakfast in our 6day langkawi visit.

Nice Kampong feel, with an abandoned shopping mall next door. Sitting below a big tree with colourful table cloth is nice. Service is fast and staff are friendly, fast. Roti Cenai is good, and price is cheap

Packed Saturday morning. But we manage to get a table for 6 people. Variety of breakfast choices, from nasi lemak, lontong, roti canai etc. Service was fast and prompt despite full house :) Will come again!

DESA PERMATA IKAN BAKAR no5&6 is a popular dining spot in Langkawi, offering great value for money. The fish dishes are sold per piece and can be prepared in various ways such as grilling, steaming with lime, or in curry. The fried rice, especially the nasi goreng paprik, comes highly recommended. Despite being crowded with locals, the service remains prompt and friendly.
The food here is absolutely delicious, especially the ikan bakar which is fresh, well-marinated, and perfectly grilled. The portion sizes are generous, and the variety of dishes makes it a great place to enjoy with family and friends. The staff are friendly, helpful, and serve with a smile, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, giving that perfect local seafood vibe. Definitely a place worth coming back to again and again

for the taste it was okay for me. the fish you can choose yourself no matter what size the price still same and already including for the cook. the waiting time take quite long for us. we went there during not crowded around 4pm-5pm .only few table sitting and they already got their food, maybe it take around 30 minutes for us waiting for the food. the price was so cheap from what we expected. i was didn't believe when i saw the price for the first time. overall . this place recommended but don't come during peak hour if you dont want to get ur food late.

Good Place, the restaurant is spacious, worth money spent and the portions are generous. I love their "sotong goreng tepung" and "siakap 3 Rasa". The staff is friendly. There is a toilet but it needs maintenance. Overall I'm satisfied to dine here. Recommended 👍

I come to this restaurant after it was recommended by the local but I’m disappointed with the food. Chicken in the tomyam was so hard and chewy, its like they re-cycle the chicken multiple times. Squid was overcooked and as a result its chewy like eating a rubber.

Very value for money. We might have ordered a bit too much for 2 pax 😂 The fishes are sold by per piece, not by weight. One ikan bolan (the one grilled with sambal) is only MYR 25! You can choose so many ways to cook the fish - grill, grill with sambal, steam with lime, gulai etc. We really love the fried rice, esp the nasi goreng paprik. By 7 plus, the place was crowded with locals but the food still came promptly. The waiters who served us are friendly and willing to give recommendations. You can't beat the price - so much for MYR 113.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Owner always recommend which seafood to suit your taste and budget. Ikan loban bakar is the best, sotong goreng tepung, spicy seafood tomyam, kerang bakar and others are lovely too. Free flow of ulam-ulaman and sambal belacan. Spacious parking next to the restaurant. This has become one of my must visit seafood restaurant when in Langkawi.

It was recommended by friend of mine and it was not disappointed. The sauce tastes nice and the seafood tastws fresh. All the prices shown are per item (not per gram/kg) all in inclusive the cooking. This is quite helpful for customers to make decision/choices. The staff also quite friendly by recommending their best way of cooking the dish.

MAHA Tower offers a stunning view from its 33rd-floor sky deck and 18th-floor lounge, where visitors can enjoy refreshments while taking in the breathtaking 360-degree open-air scenery. It's recommended to visit in the evening to avoid the heat and capture amazing sunset photos. The tower's unique shape adds to its allure, especially at night when it hosts a night market.
This is a marvel construction and an iconic structure on the island. They have an entry only till 6.30 in eve so people visiting please keep this in mind otherwise u may miss the experience. Also the tickets are on the higher side . The place is very nice to spend time especially around sunset and beyond that. The variety of lights that lit up the tower is nice to view post sunset.

An Iconic Landmark with Breathtaking Views Visiting MAHA Tower in Langkawi was an unforgettable experience! The architecture is stunning and stands tall as a symbol of modern Langkawi. The panoramic views from the top were absolutely breathtaking — you can see the vast ocean, nearby islands, and the beauty of the city all at once. The tower is well-maintained, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this is a must-visit spot to capture some stunning photos and enjoy a peaceful moment above the clouds. Langkawi’s skyline wouldn’t be complete without this majestic tower!
Deviprasad P — Google review
The MAHA Tower is one of Langkawi’s newest landmarks and a rising attraction on the island. Located at Kuah, right by the waterfront, it’s hard to miss with its sleek, modern design and impressive height. Standing at 138 meters, it’s currently the tallest building in Langkawi and offers panoramic views of the town, the coastline, and the surrounding islands. Taking the lift up to the observation deck is smooth and convenient. From the top, you get a 360° view—on a clear day, the scenery is stunning, especially around sunset when the sky turns golden over the sea. There’s also a sky deck with glass flooring that gives you a thrilling look straight down, which is fun for those who enjoy a little adventure. Since it’s still a relatively new attraction, facilities are clean and modern, though the place can feel a little quiet compared to more established Langkawi spots. Ticket prices are reasonable for the experience, and it’s a nice stop if you’re already exploring Kuah town or Eagle Square nearby. Overall, MAHA Tower is worth a visit if you want a bird’s-eye view of Langkawi in a calm, modern setting. A great spot for photography and catching a memorable sunset.

The view is awesome. Unfortunately the services rendered is poor. We came in for 6 pax. Nobody was there when we entered L33 and L18.But the food service is just 3 packs of Nasi Lemak and few pieces of kuih. The leftovers by previous guests was left unattended and no one clean the tables. there were 3 tables with used cups and paper container, no one clean it. Nasi Lemak was not replenish. same goes with Air Sirap and Plain Water. the view is awesome but too bad the management just poorly manage this place. The attitude of the staffs, by right they should be excited in explaining each views from the tower and celebrates each guests. My take (even though I am Malaysian), tunggu they improve the place, baru worth naik. To Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi, hire a private company.to.run this beautiful tower. If continue macam ni, surely run down by 3 years down the road. Bring in local operator in LGK macam Pizza Hills, Smiling Buffalo at Level 18. surely more tourist will.lepak there.

AVERAGE SHOPPING CENTRE IN LANGKAWI CENTRE the central town area of Langkawi doesn't really have much to offer beyond a few small shops and hotels. The Saga Shopping Centre is one of several small retail precincts. Best to save your souvenir dollars for KL or Penang! People with mobility issues will have considerable problems walking through the town centre as there are numerous steps, obstructions, missing drain covers and uneven footpaths.

The chocolate prices here are cheaper than the mainstream stores which the tour companies take their tourists. The store has a good selection, on a smaller scale, but comfortable enough to shop in peace. Much recommended to make this your first stop before going to the other stores.

Place of worship
Masjid Al Hana' stands as a magnificent testament to Islamic architecture in Langkawi, boasting a striking whitewashed facade adorned with peach and gold accents, topped by an impressive gilded dome. As the largest mosque on the island, it beautifully blends elements from Uzbek design with traditional Malay styles. Visitors are often captivated by its intricate tile work and soaring minarets that enhance its grandeur.
Location**: Kuah, Langkawi (near the waterfront and Dataran Lang, the iconic Eagle Square). - **Features**: - A beautiful yellow-domed mosque with traditional and modern Islamic architectural elements. - Surrounded by lush greenery and often illuminated at night, creating a serene atmosphere. - Can accommodate hundreds of worshippers and is open to visitors (non-Muslims are welcome outside prayer times, but modest attire is required). - **Significance**: A key religious and cultural landmark in Langkawi, reflecting the island’s Islamic heritage.

Masjid Al Hana’ in Kuah, Langkawi, is a convenient mosque for performing Friday prayers, located near Pekan Rabu Kuah with ample parking space nearby. I visited on a Friday and found the mosque quite spacious and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to perform prayers. During my visit, there was a notable presence of Arab worshippers, including women who came for prayers. However, I noticed that there wasn’t a designated area for ladies to pray during Friday prayers. Fortunately, after speaking with one of the mosque staff, they kindly arranged a closed-off section to accommodate them, which was a thoughtful gesture. Before the Friday prayers, there was a sermon focusing on family planning and financial management—an insightful and relevant topic, especially for young individuals preparing for marriage or starting a family. It was a meaningful addition to the prayer session. Overall, I had a good experience. The mosque is spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to stop by for prayers when in Kuah. A dedicated section for women during Friday prayers would be a great improvement, but otherwise, it’s a welcoming place for worshippers.

Masjid Al-Hana is a beautiful and well-organized mosque. It’s spacious, clean, and fully air-conditioned, which makes it very comfortable, especially in the heat. Friday prayers are held here, and the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place to pray in Langkawi.

Eagle Square

Eagle Square, also known as Dataran Lang, is a must-visit landmark in Langkawi, Malaysia. The 12-meter-tall statue of a red-backed eagle standing on a blue platform at Kuah jetty point is an impressive sight and a popular spot for taking photos. It's best to visit during sunrise or sunset to avoid the heat and fully enjoy the experience. In the evening, the square comes alive with glitzy lights, creating a whole new dimension.
Eagle Square is one of Langkawi’s most iconic landmarks, and definitely a must-visit if you’re exploring the island. The massive eagle statue—about 12 meters tall—overlooking the waterfront is not only impressive but also symbolic, as Langkawi itself is named after the reddish-brown eagle (“Helang” in Malay). The square is beautifully designed with wide open spaces, tiled walkways, and fountains, making it a relaxing place to stroll around, especially in the evening. The views from here are fantastic—you get a clear view of the sea, boats coming into the harbor, and the surrounding islands. It’s also one of the best spots for photography, particularly at sunrise or sunset when the lighting is perfect. There’s no entrance fee, which makes it even better. The area is kept clean and well-maintained, and there are benches if you just want to sit and enjoy the breeze. Nearby, you’ll find shops, cafes, and duty-free outlets, so it’s convenient to combine your visit with some dining or shopping. It can get hot during midday, so I’d recommend visiting early morning or late afternoon. Overall, Eagle Square is a must-see in Langkawi—both for its cultural significance and the beautiful atmosphere.

I visited Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) during my trip to Langkawi Island, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my visit. This place is truly the heart of Langkawi and one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks. The giant eagle statue standing proudly by the sea is absolutely stunning. It's perfectly represents the name and spirit of Langkawi (“Helang” means eagle in Malay). The area around the square is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully designed. There are wide open spaces, fountains, and walkways where visitors can relax and take in the fresh sea breeze. The view of the Andaman Sea and nearby islands from this spot is simply breathtaking. I took many photos and videos here, and every corner looked picture-perfect. Eagle Square is especially magical during sunset. The golden rays of the setting sun reflecting on the eagle statue and the ocean create an unforgettable scene. In the evening, the square lights up beautifully, giving it a calm yet vibrant atmosphere. There are also small cafés, souvenir shops, and resting areas nearby, making it a perfect stop for tourists. Whether you come here for photography, relaxation, or sightseeing, Eagle Square will not disappoint.

Eagle Square (Dataran Lang), Langkawi Eagle Square is one of the most iconic landmarks in Langkawi and a must-visit spot for anyone coming to the island. The huge eagle statue overlooking the sea is truly majestic — it’s beautifully crafted and makes for stunning photos, especially during sunrise and sunset when the lighting is perfect. The surrounding area is clean, well-maintained, and has a peaceful atmosphere with sea breezes and great views of the waterfront and nearby islands. There are plenty of benches, shaded areas, and photo spots, making it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the scenery. It’s also conveniently located near the Kuah Jetty, with shops, cafés, and restaurants within walking distance. Tip: Visit in the evening for cooler weather and to see the square beautifully lit up. Definitely one of the highlights of Langkawi!

Our visit to Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) in Langkawi was one of the highlights of our trip, especially for the kids. The iconic 12-meter-tall eagle statue, poised as if about to take flight, is truly impressive and makes for some great photo opportunities. The children were fascinated by its size and presence — it’s not every day you see such a massive bird sculpture overlooking the sea! The surrounding area is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with beautifully paved walkways, fountains, and lovely sea views. It’s a perfect spot for a leisurely family stroll, especially in the late afternoon when it’s cooler and the light is ideal for pictures. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax, and the open space gave the kids a chance to run around a bit. It’s also close to shops and small stalls where you can grab a snack or a drink. Whether you’re visiting for a quick photo stop or spending some time soaking in the views, Eagle Square is definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re traveling with children. It’s one of those iconic places that gives you a real sense of being in Langkawi.

I recently visited Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) in Langkawi with my family and friends, and we all had a very pleasant experience. The weather during our visit was breezy and comfortable, which added to the charm of the outing. The sea view was stunning, and the iconic eagle statue—standing tall and majestic—was truly a sight to behold. Entry is free, and the area is well-maintained with several small shops and vending machines. There was a light crowd during our visit, which made it a peaceful and enjoyable experience. There are plenty of seating areas around the square, allowing us to relax and comfortably enjoy the views. It’s a great spot for photography, especially during sunset—and likely in the morning as well. The eagle statue symbolizes the heritage of Langkawi, as the name 'Langkawi' comes from the Malay word helang, meaning eagle. It's not just a tourist attraction, but a proud emblem of the island. Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or solo, Eagle Square is definitely a must-visit place in Langkawi for its scenic beauty, cultural significance, and peaceful ambiance.

Legenda Park is a beautiful 2 KM beachfront park in Langkawi, featuring landscaped gardens with sculptures and statues depicting local legends. Despite some maintenance issues, it's a great spot for morning walks, offering views of the sea, eagle, and Maha tower. The park also showcases sculptures illustrating Langkawi's history and has gates named after the island's places.
Visited here during our recent visit to langkawi. There was no entrance tickets here and had visited here on a general holiday in langkawi. I decided to take an evening walk and ended up at Lagenda Park. It officially closes at 7:00 PM, but there’s a small gate that remains open until 8:00 PM for exit only. The timing worked out perfectly as I wanted to catch the sunset while overlooking Dataran Lang and the sea. Watching the sun slowly set against the horizon was a beautiful and calming experience. The park itself is a nice place for a leisurely stroll, with plenty of people jogging and walking around. If you're looking for a peaceful moment, you might need to find a quieter spot away from the crowds. The views, especially during sunset, make it worth the visit. Overall, it’s a lovely place to relax, soak in the scenery, and enjoy the fresh air. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a serene spot in Kuah, especially if you appreciate a good sunset view!

I absolutely love the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club! It’s one of those places that makes you feel instantly relaxed the moment you arrive. The marina is beautifully maintained, the staff are professional yet genuinely warm, and the whole atmosphere has that perfect balance of luxury and laid-back island charm. For Singaporean boaters, it’s such a great base. The facilities are excellent, from secure berths and fuel services to great dining options and easy access to Kuah town. Plus, the sail from Singapore to Langkawi is a rewarding route with stunning coastal views and calm waters all at an affordable price. What really makes it special is the community, the friendly boaters from all over the world, a sense of belonging, and that feeling of escape without being too far from home. It’s truly one of my favourite marinas in the region and a must-stop for anyone cruising around Southeast Asia. The spare parts shop has expanded, check with customer service at the club for the new outlet Address.

Chuan Bar Langkawi 串吧, situated in Kuah, Langkawi, is a cozy Yakitori & Sake Bar known for its delicious yakitori and variety of sake. The bar offers a relaxed atmosphere, making it an excellent spot to unwind and enjoy Japanese cuisine with friends. While the wait times can be around 20 to 25 minutes during busy hours, the friendly servers and welcoming environment make it worth the visit.
Spend a nice evening with my husband during our anniversary time in Langkawi. Food is absolutely delicious, especially Bao buns with chicken and steamed egg with duck! Will come back

Hidden in Kuah’s Kompleks Cayman, Chuan Bar Langkawi (串吧) is a welcoming Japanese izakaya escape from Langkawi’s beach buzz. The space is comfortable with stylish decor and ambient lighting that sets a relaxed, intimate mood—air-conditioned and perfect for evening unwinds. Friendly staff make it shine, offering warm recommendations and quick service that feels genuinely personal. The menu tempts with authentic yakitori skewers, crispy kaki furai, and steaming ramen, all packed with smoky umami. Pair them with chilled sake or—extra points for Langkawi lovers—a cold duty-free beer like Tiger, grabbed cheap from nearby shops and savored here without the mainland markup. It’s a seamless fusion that elevates the night. Prices are friendly and reasonable, delivering quality bites and drinks affordably. The only snag? The menu’s white text on black with small fonts and photos looks cool digitally but strains the eyes under dim lights—bigger contrast would be a game-changer. Still, the food, vibe, and that beer perk earn a solid 4/5. A top Kuah pick for casual Japanese nights—just flashlight your menu and enjoy!

Went there twice already, it’s a small cozy place, with very nice and attentive staff. Food is tasty, and im a very picky eater especially Japanese food. I’m always eating unagi ell and duck ramen 🤣 but hubby tried different things. Would totally recommend to try it out.

Had my Birthday dinner here with my Sister (thanks for the treat ❤️)! Overall a decent place, not much of Customer that night, only 2 tables including us. Some food are not available that night (sold out when we are there at 6pm+). Price are reasonable and food are in overall delicious!

Surprising it was pretty quiet on a Saturday noon and we were a bit concerned being the first group of guest despite the good reviews here. It turned out to be very nice matched the Google score! We ordered a scallop ramen and a vegan tan tan noodles and some screwers. The flavors were all super nice ! Highly Recommend !

Absolutely humbled we found this place while strolling Kuah. Nice, neat and air conditioned restaurant, really friendly and helpful staff. The food is 10/10, we dined in twice on our stay with our family of 4 and were extremely happy with all dishes, high quality Japanese meals and affordable. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would.

Always have to come to Tayfun’s Kitchen every time I’m in Langkawi! My absolute favourite restaurant and trust me when I say I could eat here every night of my stay. From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious Mediterranean food, it’s perfect. My personal favourite dish is the ravioli 🥰 Don’t forget to order their wonderful homemade apple strudel for dessert after too!

Absolutely dreamy. By far the highlight of our Lang Kawi stay. Pitch perfect atmosphere - right on the harbour, cool breeze, chill music, tropical views. Service was warm with calm, grace and a smile even when busy. Drinks and food were super fast and the quality, taste and presentation of the clearly fresh food was second to none on the island. Flavours popped. If you’re a foodie, or looking for a laid back evening with island vibes and 5* hospitality, this is the place!

We visited this place while a group of us were on vacay in LKW. It was recommended by a few people we met while travelling on the island. It’s a hidden gem. Entrees- The food is good and fresh and the service is great. They only have 1 Chef and we were there on a busy night but the food kept coming. Plus we ordered multiples as we were hungry. I recommend ordering a few of the entrees to share - highlights were the mussels and gambas. Feta cigars and spanakopita were also great - there are also a lot of veggie options. Our absolute favourite was the checken wings (they are spicy) but delicious. Mains - we made sure to order different mains to try everything. Tiger chilli prawns were delicious. Great schnitzel, lamb chops were so tender. I also recommend the sea bass and aglio olio (all mains come with sides that pair well) Dessert - we were quite full but managed the apple strudel - also very nice. Great cocktails too. I recommend the daiquiri. Overall great experience + lovely sunset and if you’re lucky you get to see some sea otters and hornbills. Thanks chef Tayfun and Eileen we had a great time.

Hidden Gem with Unforgettable Delights From the moment you step in, this restaurant welcomes you with a warm and elegant ambiance. Cuisine and Taste: I loved every dish, each bursting with amazing taste and flavors. Every bite was a delight, and I enjoyed every moment of it you can't go wrong with the excellent chef, I ordered the ravioli and the perfectly seasoned shrimp dish, bursting with and beautifully presented. Service: Top-notch service from attentive and friendly staff, who made me feel truly welcomed and provided excellent recommendations. Atmosphere: Enchanting, especially at sunset. The breathtaking harbor view added a magical touch to our evening. Experience:** A true gem, offering delectable cuisine, outstanding service, and a captivating atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special night out. Highly recommended to have a good time!

This place is a hidden gem. Go find it! Great atmosphere, great food and welcoming hosts. The food and ambience seemed to transport us to a mix of French Riviera/Spanish Bistro whilst enjoying amazing service and the best sunsets you could hope for. We’ll sneak another visit in if we have time.

We ordered Basil Pesto Chicken Pasta, Salted Egg Prawns, Kayseri Sebit and Souvlaki upon the chef's wife recommendations. Needless to say, we were not dissapointed and our personal favourite is Kayseri Sebit (Turkish Layered Meat Pie) which is the chef's family recipe. This is by far the best meal that we had in Langkawi. If you want to have authentic taste of Mediterranean food, this is the best place to be!

Restaurant
Sembang Teh Tarik Restoran & Cafe is a great place for dinner with a wide selection of food options. The menu includes dishes like nasi goreng kambing and siakap stim limau, all of which are delicious. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas available, although parking can be challenging due to the narrow road. If the road is crowded, it's recommended to find alternative parking nearby and walk to the restaurant.
Good place to have dinner with quite a big variety of food to chose from. I had nasi goreng kambing, siakap stim limau and a few set orders. All of them were nice and delicious. There's seating area outside and also some with air-conditioning. Parking is quite a challenge because the road is a dead end and can barely fit 2 cars side by side. So if you see the road going in full of cars, better chance to get a parking elsewhere nearby and walk there. There is an opening at the end of the road for you to turn your car around if cant find any parking space though.

Very nice food. Nice open air ambiance. The fish for ikan bakar were very fresh and they have a few variety that they offer. The batter for cendawan and sotong celup tepung coated the sotong and cendawan quite nicely and they have the right amount of crunchiness . The mee ketam is quite ok and the portion would be enough for more than one person. I have some qualms going to the loo though; might want to consider so as to have more privacy for the womenfolk.

Chose RM 79 for 4 pax set, seriusly not worth it. Used to frequent this restaurant before but somehow the taste declining over the year. Syrian restaurant
Alhamdulillah Restaurant is a must-visit in Langkawi, conveniently located near the iconic Big Eagle and Jetty Point. The Syrian owner takes pride in serving fresh and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine at fair prices. Visitors rave about the amazing food and great service, with some even returning multiple times during their stay. The restaurant's beautiful atmosphere adds to the dining experience, making it a top choice for lunch or dinner while in Kuah.
Probably one of the best restaurants in the city — if not the best! We had an amazing meal, the welcome was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly kind. The food was absolutely delicious. Special mention for the decor, which instantly transports you to Syria. A big thank you for this wonderful experience — I highly recommend it!

Really enjoyed the food at AL Medan. recommend the Fatoush, hummus and aubergine dips with the falafel. good to know that these guys who herald from Damascus are doing well here in langkawi and the efforts of their work both in the decor of the restaurant and the food itself are plain to see. It’s not the cheapest food you will get in Malaysia but that’s not their issue and I can see why many folk make their way here despite prices
Alex B — Google review
Unfortunately a bit disappointing. Falafel wrap was delicious but the lamb plate was underwhelming. Very small amount of meat for 40rm mainly fat and bones as you can see in pics (final one shows just the fat/bone). Flavour was great but expected higher quality given the reviews and price point. Service could also be slightly better we never received water we asked for twice but maybe some language barrier (English).

Day 4

Keep it simple
For day 4, these 6 places should be enough to fill your day with something exciting to do in Kuah. Start the day with CHOGM Park and make your way through the city to get to Trinidad Cigar Divan Langkawi. This should take about 8 hours of your day.

Park
CHOGM Park, short for Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting Park, was established to commemorate the 1989 event held on the island. Located in Kuah Town, it features sculptures, monuments, a manmade beach, and a children's play area. The park is adorned with trees and flowery gardens and offers a serene setting for leisurely strolls. While some structures show signs of neglect, the park remains an attractive spot for jogging or enjoying sunset walks.
I was surprised by all the wildlife I observed in this park. I visited several times and saw lots of hornbills, dusky leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, squirrels and even otters. Absolutely loved it. Plus a peaceful beach and space for exercise

Interesting stories and legends with statues and buildings all around the park, beautiful nature. Sadly the park doesn't look very looked after anymore, many buildings, bridges and plaques are run down and unreadable. Otherwise a peaceful place and a nice area to jog at as well.

SCUBA tour agency
Langkawi Island Hopping is a popular activity that offers great value for money at 40 MYR per person. Visitors get to spend ample time at each island, with the opportunity to witness eagles diving from a distance and enjoy water activities. The first island allows digital payments and card transactions, while the last island provides a serene beach experience. It's advisable to pack swimming attire for this excursion.
Amazing experience love it 😀 😍 Langkawi Island Hopping Tour. This trip is ideal for nature lovers. You get to see the magnificent eagles up close when they are feeding. You get to admire the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden, which is a mythical lake on an island shaped like a woman lying on her back. You get to explore the crystal-clear waters of the Beras Basah Island. You will get to see many birds, around 90 species of them. You can swim in the designated areas at the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden. You can rent banana boats, parasails and jet-skis on the Beras Basah Island. You can stroll along the beach on the wooden pier on the Beras Basah Island.
Abhi — Google review
Great value for its price and definitely something you should do while being in langkawi for the first time. It would be nice if the eagle feeding could be skipped and some less touristy beaches would’ve been visited, but it’s definitely understandable that this doesn’t work for that price.
Philipp B — Google review
Definitely a good experience with this Island Hoping. They accept walk in (as they said) but we still make a reservation one night before departing at their port. The tour/boat rider is very young and professional, good in explaining everything as well as his riding skill is very excellent. Been a fun time with him as he did some amazing move on the sea which is very fun to all of the people on the boat. I would definitely suggest you guys to wear you swimming clothes/ready-to-play-with-water suit before departing. Your first stop is at a beach where you can directly starting swimming and jump down from the boat once it arrived. Second location where the boat rider go to a eagle feeding place and slightly explain the eagle. Third location stopped at a lake where you're clothes will get wet again if you decided to play the boat riding. Thanks for having a good rider/tour, we're definitely have a great time with this agency/peoples.

Island hopping is different from mangrove boatriding. The boat riders are very fast to take us to the islands.. The total trip is for 3 to 4 hours. We webt to fresh water lake and it was pleasing and very nice. Can swim and also do kayak. The beach in thr second island is also very clean with clear waters. Better to be in swimming gear.
Priya M — Google review
One of the best experiences in the island. You get to see three different islands that are beautiful in various segments. They also show you eagle feeding and beras basah island which is really cool and has clearest waters!
Gautham R — Google review
Nice activity to try. Just the speed of boat is quite fast. Remember do not take any food or drinks when you walk into pulau dayang bunting. The monkeys will come to grab your food. Eagle feeding is good.
Woo J — Google review
One of the best experience ever. From the dock you either go by the vendors or through the hotels services. You can go in a group (RM 45 per person approx.) or hire a whole boat (RM 300 approx.). They will initially take you to fish feeding where they will show you different species and you can feed them. Then they will take you to different areas where you can see mountains in the shape of Ape, baby face, turtle etc...The last part is where they will take you to eagle feeding. This is an amazing view to watch on how they call the eagles.
Syam S — Google review
Book through klook or tourism website, langkawi go. Sharing boat is only available during morning trip. Rm40 per person. Private boat is available in the afternoon as well. Rm350 per boat for 8 person. The trip covers 3 spot. However, ride quality depend on weather and the wave at sea. Bring along extra pair of clothes as you will be soaked wet at one of the locations. Wear a pair of sandals to make it easy to wash later. Sunscreen/sunglass/long sleeve shirt is recommended. They will bring you to 3 spots. The first spot involves hiking to a lake. Not recommended if you are bringing toddler. Bring along some $$ during the island hopping.

Sunset Cruise Langkawi

Experience the breathtaking Sunset Cruise Langkawi off the southern coast, which may seem a bit touristy but is undeniably enjoyable. For around $93, you can enjoy dinner and drinks while watching the sunset. It's highly recommended for groups of friends looking for a comfortable, romantic, and relaxing experience. Managed by Global Brotherhood, this cruise offers an unforgettable evening with good food and even a dip in the water with a Jacuzzi net.
Langkawi sunset cruise is definitely a must do experience especially with a group of friends or families. Cruise along the Langkawi waters and experience the beautiful sunset with your loved ones. We make an in-person booking arrangement through our friend that has an experience the cruise before. We charted it privately just for our small group of 7 pax. It ia a catamarans type of yacht, quite spacious for our group to moved around. It coast us’s RM 3500 including a buffet dinner and drinks onboard. The boat crew were very helpful and informative. They always prioritized safety onboard. While cruising at slow speed the boat crew also lowering a huge safety net in the water just like Jacuzzi net for those who want to swim along or just hang to the net and cruise along. Remember to bring along your swimming gear with you, you never know if you want to jump for a swim. We also sighted a school of dolphins very near around our boat. I have a video recorded the dolphins. The food served was good, the yacht is clean and tidy, the head or toilet spotless clean. The yacht depart at around 4 pm and end-up the sunset cruise around 7.30 pm or depend on guest request either to came back earlier if they wanted too. Overall, it is a wonderful experience to spent time with a group of friends for a 3 hours cruising to chill-out and hangout and the whole atmosphere onboard was relaxing. Worth the price spend for.

This is definitely a must do experience here in Langkawi. You can book the tour online, from places like Klook, or make an in-person booking from your hotel or at the jetty. The tour basically aims to be around the sunset time, with various spots being covered throughout the trip. They will serve you a buffet dinner just after sunset. All throughout, you have an open bar, with unlimited drinks. The types of catamarans vary based on what you book, but most will feature a two storey style catamaran. Just try to check how many people will actually be on your boat, because some of them tend to overbook and that just makes it overcrowded and ruins the experience. Our boat has about 20-25 people, but it was okay given our boat was kinda big, so it didn't feel as crowded. The sunset was majestic. This was truly a unique experience. Each boat has a specific guide and our guide was very helpful and informative. They always prioritized safety. The food was also very good.

Fish & chips restaurant
Scarborough Fish & Chips - Fisherman's Wharf (RLYC) is a popular spot located on the beach in Pantai Tanjung Rhu, offering traditional English fish and chips that have become a local favorite. The restaurant is known for its large portions of fish with a crunchy crust and flaky texture, accompanied by thick and crispy chips. The ambiance by the sea provides a pleasant dining experience, especially with occasional soft breezes.
An awesome place to hang out with your loved ones. Definitely the best restaurant in Kuah, without any doubt. The food here is delicious, with an excellent team of chefs and staff members ensuring you will have the best time in Kuah, Langkawi. We visited as a group of friends and I must say that its been such a great experience. They have Indian chef as well, so that customers from different countries would enjoy the experience of awesome food and great hospitality. All the best, Team Scarborough Kuah!! See you soon.

Way better than we thought it was going to be. They have 2 menus - fish and chips, and Indian food. We chose from both. All the food was great and the price was pretty reasonable. Cheap beers too. The only reason for the 4* is the glasses/ pot wash. The glasses they use smell like sewerage. So how they are cleaning the glasses needs to be changed or reviewed

We ordered 3 sets of fish & chips but was served 2 sets only. Didnt bother to raise it as the fish was below standard despite the nice food presentation & large portion, the fish smelled of mud. The cashier overcharged us for 2 beers although we had ordered 1 beer only. It was rectified as I pointed it out to him. He excused himself by saying he gave us the bill of another table. There were only 2 tables of guests there then. So be careful, do check your bill before payment. The restaurant’s view was nice and relaxing with yachts parked in the waterfront. Light coloured sea against the blue sky.

Food is great, especially snow fish and butter chicken. The ice and ice lemon tea among the best i tasted ever! And probably best scene for sunset around Kuah.

The food was very nice. The fish and chips tasted great, but the sauce should have been tartar sauce instead of mayo. Mr. Guna treated us warmly and was very friendly

Went on a Tuesday (around 8 PM) and was surprised to see that it was Music Night !! Had super fun with an amazing atmosphere, guests singing some rock legends and even the owner chipped in with his guitar ! Loved every minute of it. BTW, the food was decent too. Had the Fish & Chips (7.5/10) and the Pepperoni Pizza (6/10). Also, the chef was super cool and had a great time chatting with him. Will definitely visit again.

Nice evening atmosphere. The food is not very expensive. And mostly you get fried food. Best samosa in the island though.

We ordered the fish and chips barramundi and pan fried barracuda and find that both are just average. The ambience however is very nice as we get to dine with a seaview of Tanjung rhu.

Middle Eastern restaurant
Nestled in a charming corner near Dataran Lang, Ain Arabia Restaurant & Cafe is a delightful hidden gem that has truly come into its own. This enchanting eatery offers an authentic taste of Middle Eastern cuisine, crafted with precision by Chef Adel and his wife. Their dedication to balancing flavors ensures every dish is a culinary delight. After a long day of exploring, this cozy spot provides the perfect atmosphere for unwinding over delicious vegetarian meals or classic favorites like hummus and falafel.
Unassuming little restaurant just down the street from the large Baron resort, stopped by and had the best shakshuka I've ever had. Mint tea and hummus were delicious as well. The owner/cook seems a like great guy. Definitely worth a visit!

A 5 Star at the top! Ain arabia restaurant hidden gem has regained its heyday! He has just enchanted us with tasty, authentic cuisine in the great tradition of the middle east by his own way. Kudos to the chef Adel and his wife. He knows how to dose to perfection the subtle flavours of a cuisine that does not tolerate mediocrity or imbalances. He really delighted us with every bite... Congratulation for the warm welcoming. He watches over a friendly, attentive and distinguished service. In short, if you want to take a real culinary trip to Middle east, don't hesitate and let Ain Arabia guide you. The prices are very reasonable at this level of cuisine ! Huge portion! I will come back to try another half Menu tour

Wonderful dining experience overall with excellent hosts. I found the kiwi lemon juice very refreshing! The kebab lamb was juicy. Generous serving. Quiet private area available

A Tasty tale of a vegetarian meal . After a 12 hour long sight seeing , shopping and the likes of a vacation and to add the humid weather along , one yearns for a sumptuous dinner to call it a day ...... That's we had a at this quaint little place , tucked in a Corner , quite near to the Dataran Lang Aka The eagle square . Ain Arabia , The owner is a really sweet person . Who was very kind and courteous in his whatsapp communication with us . Mind you , Langakawi has just opened up and most resturants are closed . He actually kept the Diner open for us even after 9 . If not for this delightful dinner , it would have been a difficult 40 min long drive for me to my hotel . The pic says it all... It was as tasty as colourful as it looks . Food was freshly prepared . Prices are also just right . #vegetarianfoodlangkawi,

Visited on Chinese New year while undertaking the Langkawi travel bubble. Honestly, the food was really great, which surprised both of us. In North Melbourne, where we're from there are many middle eastern and Turkish restaurants and I would honestly say this food was as good or better than the best in Melbourne. Also, the owner speaks great English. The owner is a very pleasant man working the kitchen with his wife. All food is made from scratch when ordered, so the wait is a little long, but worth it as it is not reheated and fresh. The hummus was fresh and very tasty, falafels not dry as many places they are and chicken tender and tasty. Definitely worth a check out.

Food was ok.... not as good as expected. The chicken was quite dry. Have had better Hummus and yogurt dips. The salads were fresh though.

Absolutely amazing food. Best humus and falafel I've had in a while and fresh juice... and now for the main course. Strongly recommend this place

Had really good time here.. The roti is splendid! The best roti/chapathi ever I had in my life 😭😭 My bf enjoyed his kebab.. The drinks are fresh and everything made from scratch. Mr Adel is very friendly and professional in his job. Just that we had hard time eating on the table 😅 Thank you Mr Adel for the wonderful food.. You are cooking from your heart we know ❤️
