I visited Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) during my trip to Langkawi Island, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my visit. This place is truly the heart of Langkawi and one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks. The giant eagle statue standing proudly by the sea is absolutely stunning. It's perfectly represents the name and spirit of Langkawi (“Helang” means eagle in Malay). The area around the square is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully designed. There are wide open spaces, fountains, and walkways where visitors can relax and take in the fresh sea breeze. The view of the Andaman Sea and nearby islands from this spot is simply breathtaking. I took many photos and videos here, and every corner looked picture-perfect. Eagle Square is especially magical during sunset. The golden rays of the setting sun reflecting on the eagle statue and the ocean create an unforgettable scene. In the evening, the square lights up beautifully, giving it a calm yet vibrant atmosphere. There are also small cafés, souvenir shops, and resting areas nearby, making it a perfect stop for tourists. Whether you come here for photography, relaxation, or sightseeing, Eagle Square will not disappoint.

Impressive statue of an eagle. Great opportunity for a photo in Langkawi. There are a few stalls along the entrance that sells snacks, artesanies, and other stuff, but they start to appear in the afternoon, when the temperature starts to drop. Close to the ferry terminal.

Must visit place in Langkawi.. Good view.. I have ample amount of Parking. Night view of this place is best.. it’s highly recommended to go in Night to enjoy lighting. It has view of Maha tower. It’s tourist place which should make must visit. No need for tickets to enter in this place. Lot of spots where you can take good pictures.

Not amazing, just ok for a walk and taking some photos. No particular description of the eagle and its significance, so had to google. So many people posing for endless photos that was impossible to take clear photos.

Masjid Al Hana’ in Kuah, Langkawi, is a convenient mosque for performing Friday prayers, located near Pekan Rabu Kuah with ample parking space nearby. I visited on a Friday and found the mosque quite spacious and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to perform prayers. During my visit, there was a notable presence of Arab worshippers, including women who came for prayers. However, I noticed that there wasn’t a designated area for ladies to pray during Friday prayers. Fortunately, after speaking with one of the mosque staff, they kindly arranged a closed-off section to accommodate them, which was a thoughtful gesture. Before the Friday prayers, there was a sermon focusing on family planning and financial management—an insightful and relevant topic, especially for young individuals preparing for marriage or starting a family. It was a meaningful addition to the prayer session. Overall, I had a good experience. The mosque is spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to stop by for prayers when in Kuah. A dedicated section for women during Friday prayers would be a great improvement, but otherwise, it’s a welcoming place for worshippers.

Masjid Al-Hana is a beautiful and well-organized mosque. It’s spacious, clean, and fully air-conditioned, which makes it very comfortable, especially in the heat. Friday prayers are held here, and the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place to pray in Langkawi.

Beautiful and peaceful Masjid, close to the tourist places, you can go there to pray.

During my short stay in Langkawi, I had the opportunity to pray Dhuhur and Asr at Masjid Al Hana’. It’s a beautiful and peaceful mosque, very clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it easy to focus during prayer. The mosque is conveniently located, and there's ample space for worshippers. I'm grateful I found such a serene place to perform my prayers while traveling. May Allah bless the caretakers and the community who maintain this lovely masjid.

Nice and clean mosque.

All mosques are special to Muslim. But in general there are some difference, I've found something special this mosque like abulation area is very clean, I 've found little library beside mosque with small shop. Parking area is also good. Any time you can do your prayer.

Amazed to see such a well maintained jetty which seemed no less than a mall. Big brands such as roosters, subway etc to have from . Also they have local shops to buy souvenirs. Lots of parking. One can book the local sunset cruise here.

We booked this place at the counter 2 days before we departed because we wanted to make sure that the weather was good. The lady at the counter was really nice. She explained everything that we wanted to know well and contacted with a captain on the boat to get a confirmation for our reservation. The view was spectacular and breathtaking. The buffet was not as good as you get at restaurants but the whole experience was worth it.

Visit the eagle and take the standard photo's however there is a beautiful park and ornamental gardens to the front. Look out for the arched bridge and the entrance to the park by the side. It leads to a viewing point where you can get some better pics of the Eagle.

Been then for a Sunset cruise on my birthday evening.. absolutely stunning experience…music, food and sunset with a cool breeze..nature u should never miss…strongly recommend

We didn't have any issue here. Everything went according to the plan. We already bought our ticket on Cuti Cuti. It was nice and easy.

The giant eagle statue is impressive to look at for a few minutes, but beyond that, there really isn’t much to do here. The area is very open with no shade, and since the weather in Langkawi is hot and humid almost all year round, it can be uncomfortable to walk around for too long. One of the biggest downsides is the lack of facilities. There are no eateries, no street vendors, and hardly any places to sit and relax. On top of that, finding a cab here can be tricky, so getting back can be a hassle. It feels more like a photo stop than an actual tourist attraction. The only saving grace is that there’s a mall within walking distance, where you can escape the heat, grab some food, and shop around. For me, that was the highlight of the visit, not the square itself. Overall, unless you’re really bored and looking to fill some time, Eagle Square is not a must-visit. It’s nice for a quick picture if you happen to pass by, but if you’re short on time in Langkawi, this is definitely a spot you can skip.

This is a huge open square, with lots of parking. It is an open waterfront like area, that one can hangout at. There are fountains, ice-cream shops and like some street shopping. The tourist highlight in this area, is the Enormous Eagle that this jetty is so famous for. There is lots of open space for the kids to run around or scooter.

Dataran Lang is one of those must-visit spots in Langkawi — the huge eagle statue is even more impressive in person. There are plenty of cafés and shops nearby, so it’s easy to spend a bit of time just wandering around. It’s touristy, sure, but still absolutely worth seeing. Located at Kuah, right by the waterfront, it’s hard to miss with its sleek, modern design and impressive height. Standing at 138 meters, it’s currently the tallest building in Langkawi and offers panoramic views of the town, the coastline, and the surrounding islands. Taking the lift up to the observation deck is smooth and convenient. From the top, you get a 360° view—on a clear day, the scenery is stunning, especially around sunset when the sky turns golden over the sea. There’s also a sky deck with glass flooring that gives you a thrilling look straight down, which is fun for those who enjoy a little adventure. Since it’s still a relatively new attraction, facilities are clean and modern, though the place can feel a little quiet compared to more established Langkawi spots. The view is awesome. Unfortunately the services rendered is poor. We came in for 6 pax. Nobody was there when we entered L33 and L18.But the food service is just 3 packs of Nasi Lemak and few pieces of kuih. The leftovers by previous guests was left unattended and no one clean the tables. there were 3 tables with used cups and paper container, no one clean it. Nasi Lemak was not replenish. same goes with Air Sirap and Plain Water. the view is awesome but too bad the management just poorly manage this place. The attitude of the staffs, by right they should be excited in explaining each views from the tower and celebrates each guests. My take (even though I am Malaysian), tunggu they improve the place, baru worth naik. To Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi, hire a private company.to.run this beautiful tower. If continue macam ni, surely run down by 3 years down the road. Bring in local operator in LGK macam Pizza Hills, Smiling Buffalo at Level 18. surely more tourist will.lepak there.

The view was absolutely breathtaking. The staff was exceptionally kind. The person upstairs warmly shared many details about the place and kindly offered to take photos, capturing some truly beautiful shots of me. They also helped me find the prayer room. I hope to return in the future to watch the sunset.

MAHA Tower is a nice place to visit with a great location and beautiful views. We really enjoyed our time there, especially taking in the scenery from the top. It’s a relaxing and scenic spot — definitely worth a quick visit while in Langkawi.

Maha Tower is a beautiful landmark in Kuah Town and definitely worth a visit. The development is now fully completed, making it a nice spot to enjoy both the city and sea views. In the evening, the tower lights up with stunning decorations, creating a vibrant and picturesque atmosphere. A great place for photos, sightseeing, or just a relaxing walk around the area.

A must see whilst here in Langkawi, absolutely breathtaking views, the place was simply stunning inside & out. The place was immaculate throughout, the staff also were fantastic (extremely professional) Fakrul, Fitra, Ashadeen & Shakira ♥️ Thank you for you ✨️

Found new playground inside this mall.!!! This is one of the mall at Langkawi Island. Have supermarket (ground/basement) and more option of clothes, bag, inner ware and of course chocolates on other levels. Level 1 got atm, Marrybrown, guardian , jewellery and so on Level 2 have some souvenirs shops, appearel, watch Level 3 got some restaurant and the new playground. 🤩 Level 10 - cinema !! So this picture may have a lots of coloursss 😝

Good selection of duty free products especially chocolate, beer and liquor with really good price.

I bought chocolates and duty free drinks from this shop on 31/05/2025. I opened the chocolates on 02/06/2025 when I came back Kuala Lumpur but one of the chocolates was old stock. I tried calling, email and Facebook message but no reply. I hope this seller issues me a refund. Better check the chocolates you buy here.

Teow Soon Huat Duty Free in Langkawi is a must-visit for anyone looking to score great deals on chocolates, alcohol, kitchenware, and more. The supermarket is well-stocked and offers a wide range of products at significantly lower prices compared to the mainland, thanks to Langkawi's duty-free status. The store layout is spacious, though it can get a bit crowded during peak tourist hours. Staff are generally helpful and checkout is fairly quick. Chocolates and liquor are the main attractions here, with many international brands available at very competitive prices. You can also find household items, clothing, and souvenirs under the same roof. One small downside is that parking can be limited during weekends or holidays, so plan your visit accordingly. Also, product displays could be better organized in some sections. Overall, it's a great spot for shopping while in Langkawi — whether you're looking to stock up on goodies or bring back gifts from your trip.

There is a grocery store in this building and we shopped here for our groceries. They have less varieties for liquor but they do carry beer.

A good place in langkawi to buy duty free liquor and chocolates, it must be one of the biggest places in langkawi to go shopping, the variety of products available is the most but take note every places have slightly different prices for liquor so sometimes the liquor here will be cheaper or more expensive than other places

Night markets are a great way to explore the culture and food of the place and the night markets here are just too good to pass up. On the day we went, there was a food festival on going. They had a great variety of stalls and food items on show. The food was really good and we got to try many different items. Definitely worth a visit.

Come here at 7pm on Wednesday night Quite crowded Food: seems to be mostly local, reasonable price, but oily and too sweet for me The sausage is not good, juice: full of suger/ices (remind them no sugar from beginning). 3-5ringit/ small portions But I had quality time spent here with my friends

Just few minites away from where we stayed and blindly visited this place. Wow it was fabulous and tried alot of local foods. All we tried are delicious and reasonable. Friendly people are here around Langkawi and same we experienced in this market too. Recommending specially for the tourists who searches local experiences.

Picture 1- The night markets, bustling, diverse and cheap. Great place to spend an evening soaking up the local culture. Picture 2- the fantastic satay truck with the most delicious satay meat, the tenderloin in particular was amazing! Picture 3 - the stall that refused to serve a gluten free alternative, despite me explaining exactly what I needed, which was a coupel of ingredients simply left out. I won't let them ruin a great meal, as much as they tried to.

Lots of stalls to get food from, all pretty cheap and good. There was a stall selling takoyaki, but no tako (octopus) which was disheartening. 😑

It was so crowded on Wednesday night. There are so many places that sell same stuff, deep fried chicken, noodles, Laksa, juice, baked goodies etc...

Great night market. Filled with local food for a good price. Noodles, fried rice, laksa, sup, murtabak, pasembor, drinks, fresh juice, all fried stuff, chicken, lamb, and some non-malay food which we didn't try. Only a burger once and it wasn't good. The best are the soups and fried chicken and local sweets.

This is by far the worst water park I’ve ever been to. After making the trip (the park is not close to the main tourist areas), we arrived only to discover that the vast majority of slides were closed. The website gives no warning about this, so you only find out after you’ve already arrived. Since there was a discounted ticket price and three slides I wanted to try, I decided to give it a go. The first slide was fun, but then came the unpleasant surprise: the other two slides that staff at the entrance assured me were open turned out to be “closed.” When I asked the lifeguards (who were resting in a hut), they casually told me the slides were under maintenance. After some awkward back-and-forth, hesitation, and blank stares, they suddenly decided to open one — allowing me, my partner, and two others to ride it before closing it again. When I wanted to go again or try the other slide, I was told it was only possible if there were three or four people. This requirement was nowhere in the posted rules. Honestly, it felt more like the staff simply didn’t want to work. I don’t entirely blame them — they seemed quite demotivated — and the ultimate responsibility lies with the park’s management and ownership. The facilities themselves look worn out, neglected, and almost post-apocalyptic. There is no proper maintenance, no transparency, and no sense of customer care. Overall, it was a terrible and disappointing experience. I left feeling scammed, and I strongly advise tourists to avoid this water park and its unpleasant surprises until major improvements are made.

Such a fun and exciting water park! Splash Out Langkawi is perfect for families and friends, with lots of thrilling slides, wave pools, and relaxing spots. The park is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are attentive and friendly. A fantastic place to spend the whole day — truly deserves 6 stars!

It’s quite safe and there is kids and adults slides. The park is surprised by lifeguards, and everybody were really kind and patient. We had a lot of fun there my brother and I.

went on weekday, no queue and we get to try everything. need more improvement on the locker room cause we were stuck on paying the locker for abt 20 minutes. the rest are okay and exciting.

We went mid week and had some rainy weather. Still really good despite two slides being out of action due to maintenance. This water park operates 1 section of the park at a time in a time slot with many time slots throughout the day. The staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. There is locker hire and food and drinks available.

Went here in the off season shortly after it opened on a weekday and we were the only people there for the first hour or so! Some decent slides etc although they were open at different time slots. A couple of closed rides that were under maintenance. Kept us entertained for a couple of hours. The staff were friendly.

Great value for its price and definitely something you should do while being in langkawi for the first time. It would be nice if the eagle feeding could be skipped and some less touristy beaches would’ve been visited, but it’s definitely understandable that this doesn’t work for that price.

Definitely a good experience with this Island Hoping. They accept walk in (as they said) but we still make a reservation one night before departing at their port. The tour/boat rider is very young and professional, good in explaining everything as well as his riding skill is very excellent. Been a fun time with him as he did some amazing move on the sea which is very fun to all of the people on the boat. I would definitely suggest you guys to wear you swimming clothes/ready-to-play-with-water suit before departing. Your first stop is at a beach where you can directly starting swimming and jump down from the boat once it arrived. Second location where the boat rider go to a eagle feeding place and slightly explain the eagle. Third location stopped at a lake where you're clothes will get wet again if you decided to play the boat riding. Thanks for having a good rider/tour, we're definitely have a great time with this agency/peoples.

Island hopping is different from mangrove boatriding. The boat riders are very fast to take us to the islands.. The total trip is for 3 to 4 hours. We webt to fresh water lake and it was pleasing and very nice. Can swim and also do kayak. The beach in thr second island is also very clean with clear waters. Better to be in swimming gear.

One of the best experiences in the island. You get to see three different islands that are beautiful in various segments. They also show you eagle feeding and beras basah island which is really cool and has clearest waters!

Nice activity to try. Just the speed of boat is quite fast. Remember do not take any food or drinks when you walk into pulau dayang bunting. The monkeys will come to grab your food. Eagle feeding is good.

One of the best experience ever. From the dock you either go by the vendors or through the hotels services. You can go in a group (RM 45 per person approx.) or hire a whole boat (RM 300 approx.). They will initially take you to fish feeding where they will show you different species and you can feed them. Then they will take you to different areas where you can see mountains in the shape of Ape, baby face, turtle etc...The last part is where they will take you to eagle feeding. This is an amazing view to watch on how they call the eagles.

Book through klook or tourism website, langkawi go. Sharing boat is only available during morning trip. Rm40 per person. Private boat is available in the afternoon as well. Rm350 per boat for 8 person. The trip covers 3 spot. However, ride quality depend on weather and the wave at sea. Bring along extra pair of clothes as you will be soaked wet at one of the locations. Wear a pair of sandals to make it easy to wash later. Sunscreen/sunglass/long sleeve shirt is recommended. They will bring you to 3 spots. The first spot involves hiking to a lake. Not recommended if you are bringing toddler. Bring along some $$ during the island hopping.
