Nasugbu in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Nasugbu, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Nasugbu is a popular beach getaway from Manila, known for its sandy coves, clear waters, and range of seaside resorts along the West Philippine Sea. Travelers come for swimming, island-hopping, snorkeling, and sunset views from coastal areas like Fortune Island. Inland, the scenic ridges and trails of nearby Mt. Batulao offer accessible day hikes with panoramic countryside vistas. The town itself has a laid-back provincial atmosphere, with local eateries and markets that give a glimpse of everyday Batangas life.
With favorites like Bituin Cove, Pico de Loro (Cutad) Cove, and Terrazas De Punta Fuego, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Lime and Basil Thai Restaurant and Marcia Adams' Restaurant so you can get the best taste of Nasugbu while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Caleruega Chapel of Transfiguration is a charming retreat center with lush landscaping and stunning views. The chapel, known for its stained-glass altar windows, has been featured in Filipino films and is a popular wedding venue. While the trip to the chapel can be challenging without private transportation, the picturesque surroundings make it worthwhile. Visitors can enjoy the serene ambiance, clear skies, and vibrant blue scenery.
Popular religious and tourist attraction located in Nasugbu. Set in a picturesque scene on the slopes of the mountain range and beautiful natural surroundings including gardens, landscapes, and a panoramic view of nature, offer a serene and scenic retreat. Its design reflects Spanish colonial architecture, known for its rustic charm and timeless appeal. Good place of worship but also a retreat center run by Dominican priests. It offers spiritual retreats, workshops, and other activities for spiritual growth. It is also a popular venue for weddings and events because of its beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere.

Visited this place to spend some quiet time. Very conducive for retreats. The place is quiet and well kept. There is a garden below the church where you can walk and sit around. I do not know if public transport pass by this place but they do have pay parking.
Ruby J — Google review
I’ve had the chance to visit Caleruega Transfiguration Chapel a few times now—twice for weddings and recently for a simple 10:30 AM mass. Every visit feels special. The chapel is absolutely beautiful, with its stunning façade and peaceful surroundings. The garden is well-kept and adds to the serene, reflective atmosphere. The view from the grounds is breathtaking, especially on a clear day. The mass I attended was simple but deeply solemn, creating a spiritual experience despite the presence of many tourists. It can get crowded, especially on weekends or during events, so coming early is a good idea. Overall, Caleruega remains one of the most picturesque and meaningful places I’ve visited for worship and reflection. Highly recommended whether you're attending a wedding, a mass, or just seeking quiet time with nature and faith.

Great view and well maintained place, you have to have a environmental fee of 80per head this also includes the parking, perfect to have a breather after a long drive. I don't recommend coming if it's raining or rained too hard the road when your near is not really maintained so there a lot of small pot holes and mud on the drive way.
Jorell R — Google review
The place was an awesome venue for the sacrament of matrimony. Our wedding was conducted here in 21 December 2024, the intimacy, serenity, solemnity and all similar words are present in this place which made our vows so special.

A very beautiful church i Nasugbu. Very solemn . Inside ots not that big but it feels holy and welcoming. Outside they have a big garden and recreational center. A must visit soecially for a devotee
Rochelle O — Google review
We visited this church a while ago. It's so beautiful, so fresh, and most of all, so quiet. It feels good to be here with my partner. Plus, they're pet friendly too.
JUSTIN S — Google review
It's a really relaxing place. Note: there's an entrance fee. 30 pesos per head + the parking fee (I forgot how much). There's a parking lot near the entrance (I prefer this) and a parking lot inside (the road is bumpy though)

Fine dining restaurant
Antonio's Restaurant is a popular dining spot located in Tagaytay, Cavite. The restaurant offers a charming al-fresco area and has a cozy vibe with plenty of windows allowing natural light to filter in. It is pet-friendly, welcoming vaccinated pets that are well-behaved and leashed or in carriers. The menu features delectable dishes such as the Smoked Salmon Benedict and Fresh Corned Beef with Provencale Sauce, both highly recommended options.
Dining at Antonio's was an unforgettable experience. The food was of top-notch quality—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The place itself was just as impressive—elegant, serene, and truly world-class. From the ambiance to the impeccable service, Antonio's delivered excellence at every level. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and memorable dining experience.

Had dinner with family and our first time at this place. Had a slight drizzle that night, but it did not hamper our appreciation of the place. The food (salad, soup, drinks, entree and dessert) served were excellent. We all enjoyed our food and continued conversing our dinning experience on our way home. Our excellent dining experience won't be complete without the security staff, waitstaff (Anthony and crew) and chef/cooks who prepared our meal, working that night ✨✨

What literally felt like a venture into the jungle down a small road, Antonio’s Restaurant in Tagaytay City turns out to be a renowned fine-dining destination in the Philippines, celebrated for its exquisite cuisine, elegant ambiance, and is a short distance from Taal Volcano. Antonio’s is a fusion of Filipino, Spanish, and European flavors with an emphasis on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Set in a garden-style setting with lush greenery and open-air dining, Antonio’s is sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service and attention to detail.

A truly unforgettable experience was found at Antonio’s. After travelling down from Manila into the mystery of Cavite, the last thing you’d expect is a location and atmosphere like this. The staff were absolutely wonderful, and the food is of a quality found in not many places outside of BGC and Makati. You must absolutely order the steak course, it’s their masterpiece and probably the best steak I had during my time in the Philippines. An additional knockout were the dessert selections.

It was supposed to a dinner advance reservation but we were told a day before our arrival that theyre not available on the date we chose. Anyway, were glad we had a lunch instead. It was an unforgetable experience of service, atmosphere and food. 5* for the overall experience. Definitely coming back ☺️

One thing I can say, this the best beef wellington in town! You must experience Antonio's (CABANA). It will always be part of your Tagaytay trips 👌✨️

Yoki's Farm, established in 1996 and open to the public since 2016, is a family-owned farm spanning 10 hectares. It boasts an orchidarium, hydroponics farm, nursery, museum, restaurant, and animal sanctuary. Visitors can enjoy walking attractions such as the Museum of Antique Collections, Hydroponic Vegetable Farm, and Animal Sanctuary. The farm also offers a unique opportunity for animal interactions with domestic and exotic animals.
Really enjoyed our visit to this farm. A tour guide was assigned to us and she was able to share lots of interesting trivia regarding the animals in the farm. You can feed zebra, ponies, rabbits, turtles and walk with ostrich, pet the capybaras, take pictures with tropical birds and a lot more! Young kids will definitely have lots to do and learn here. There is also a museum containing the owner’s various antique collections.
Ids — Google review
The place is well maintained, clean comfort rooms and the kids enjoyed the place. There's a playground area where kids can play after the tour. They also have a restaurant inside in case you want to have refreshments and snacks. The animals are well taken care of and knows how to mingle with people. This place is worth visiting and definitely will come back again.

Another beautiful gem to find. Had a very nice experience exploring Yokis Farm. Parking is spacious. Tip go here on a weekday to avoid crowds. I'm not really a fan of animals in cages as it somehow gives a depressing vibe but it looks like the animals here are well taken care off. We opted to go for the animal encounters and it was worth it, since our baby had so much fun with the birds. Tip, might be best to save your trip when baby becomes a toddler as they might enjoy and appreciate it even more. Lots of great animals here. Too bad the plant gardens were closed. There's also a big museum with old relics and statues. Exploring the entire farm would probably take an hour or two. Canteen opened late and had very limited options. I recommend that you eat elsewhere before you go here. Lastly, we paid 900 pesos each person plus 250 tour guide fee (100 tip included). Kids would have fun here. Great way to spend a weekend with the family. Tip, bring a hat and portable fan. You'll need it.
Mark ( — Google review
We had lots of fun! We felt like kids again in a fieldtrip set up 😂 The farm showcased a lot of endagered animals and also a new experience for us like harvesting hydrophonic vegetables. Food and coffee there are quite refreshing along with the souvenirs too! A place to take your growing kids to explore and see the animals themselves!
ARON — Google review
Parking is convenient Beside the entrance gate. Just unlucky when we arrived. It is heavy raining.but have a big dinning area can take a rest and also have a playground for kid. That's good. The Entrance fee is 400pesos per person and with 150pesos tour guide fee. Actually we can tour by ourselves without guide. But ticket is bundle sales. Ticket is a little overprice. Their open time is until 5pm and They don't have restaurant inside Only snacks shop. Advice after lunch go there. 1-2 hour enough for tour.
Traveler M — Google review
experience is great! its best to go with the animal encounter rate instead of the regular rate so that you can go up close and personal with the animals, especially the birds and the capybaras. guides are excellent!!

Yoki’s Farm in Mendez, Cavite was such a delightful surprise—an eclectic mix of petting zoo and East Asian museum, where children encounter wildlife up close while adults find themselves marveling at history and culture side by side with nature. Beyond the animals, what truly captivated me were the artifacts in the museum section—uncurated yet astonishing, a warehouse of antiquities ranging from Ming vases to unearthed terracotta warriors. I was mesmerized—and admittedly, a bit flabbergasted. Three flags stood tall: a Canadian flag, an American flag, and a British Columbia flag. If only these artifacts could speak, imagine the stories they would tell. But until then, who will tell theirs? Somewhere between the dimly lit shelves and the sea of relics, Indiana Jones and his sidekick Short Round sloshed and swirled in my head. But instead of Nazi Germans, I imagined Japanese Imperial soldiers—the ghosts of a different empire, lurking in the shadows of forgotten treasure and history untold. Grateful to my sister and niece for the passage to yet another memorable family outing—one that sparked both wonder and reflection. ❤️🇵🇭

Yokis Farm in Amadeo, Cavite is a delightful experience for all ages! My kids and their cousins had a blast, and the adults enjoyed it just as much. While they may not have the "main character" animals like elephants or lions, the variety of birds and smaller animals is still impressive and engaging. The tour guides are fantastic, adding to the overall positive experience. The only slight downside was the food court, which ran out of food a bit too quickly. Overall, Yokis Farm is a great place to visit, and with their ongoing expansion, I'm sure it will become even more popular soon!

Hamilo Coast is a seaside development surrounding an artificial lake, offering beach condos, hotels, a clubhouse, and dining facilities. This renowned destination is often referred to as the Amazon Rainforest of the seas due to its impressive 15.53-mile coastline. What sets Hamilo Coast apart is its unique combination of land and sea attractions. The area showcases three mountain peaks on the eastern side and encompasses thirteen coves, including three designated Marine Protected Areas.
Those winding ascent and descent are worth it once you reached this place! We are set on our yearly family vacation here at Pico de Loro. Everything’s check, the beach, the pool and place itself is serene! In every weekend where here, there are usually garden weddings, you get to enjoy the fireworks by the beach afterwards as a plus. You get to bring and cook your own food to save and get sumptuous dinner at the restaurant/hotel. A walk along the lake is recommended afterwards. I got to bring my mountain bike as well to ride on nearby scenic spots. There are also hiking activities if you want some other adventure.

If you want to get a way from the City for a while this is the perfect place to stay. They had beach and pools. The foods are great and delicious. And very close to nature. You can also do water activities such as Jetski, kayaking and many more. We did had a great time. Highly recommend and we will surely come back soon.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was very exclusive and I feel like everything's VIP. All are cashless so it's very convenient because you don't have to bring any cash with you wherever you go here. The country club has a lot to offer. The beach is spectacular, I just wished we had gone there when it's summer so we will be able to swim through the beach. The pool area is big. A must recommended place.

Beach was full of trash. Tried collecting trash but there was just too many floating debris. The condo we stayed in had intermittent water supply. Food at the restos were overpriced and not good at all. The pansit we ordered had tofu that was panis. Drinks were at laughable prices. 280 pesos for a beer? And you had to pay 50 pesos for towels every time. Considering the amount they charge at the entrance, it's absurd they have to charge for towels. Staff at at the gate were very helpful and accommodating though. I enjoyed my stay here 8 years ago. Now not so much. Won't cone back anytine soon.

Great place for a quick vacation. Our room was small but spacious enough to fit 5 people. They also have everything you need if you're going to bring your own food. Nature oriented theme outside, super relaxing vibe. Don't wake up early for the sunrise because you will not see it at the beach front. Lots of activities you can do but a little expensive. Restaurant had great food. Pool was divided to several groups so kids and adults can choose. Some areas are for members only so make sure you ask around. Very satisfied.

We stayed in Pico Sands hotel which is very close to the cove . Hotel has shuttle bus. The check in and out process of hotel is not smooth, they are not organize, you have to wait in a long line, they dont have chairs for you to seat while waiting, not good for elders standing in a long line. I dont like the breakfast , the buffet has only few selection of food, the food is salty for me. I like the staff, the pool and the way they clean the place. We checked in late and they let us check out by 1pm instead of 11am ( standard time) . They make inventory of the towels, if you lost one you have to pay Php 1000 each. . We made sure that we count our towels before leaving the room as I dont want to pay extra. See below the other info when planning to visit the PICO de loro Beach. 1. Beach has many apartments and condo where you can rent under Airbnb. We stayed in Pico Sands hotel. Some apartment there that has beach access are: MYNA, FREIA, SEE, Carola and more. 2. Hotel has bus shuttle to bring you to and fro but it is actully walking distance. The beach has shower area but during out stay it is not working. 3. The beach itself- beautiful, clear , good waves - safe for the children 4. The hotel has own pool and the other nearby has own pool too and private access to the beach. 5. Walk in is not advisable- you must present your booking confirmation to the first guard house before they let you in a drive inside the big property before you reach the apartment and condos. 5. I enjoy my vacation even only one night. The beach is worth to drive .

Thai restaurant
Lime and Basil Thai Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Tagaytay, known for its fresh and vibrant atmosphere as well as its delectable Thai cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including the must-try Yam Som O and Kaeng Deng Kha Mao. With its farm-to-table concept, Lime and Basil incorporates fresh ingredients from their own herb and vegetable gardens into their dishes. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply craving Asian flavors, this restaurant is a great choice.
Second time going here and still didn't disappoint. The ambiance is perfect, the food is really good. The thai papaya salad was exquisite, although it is spicy. If you have low tolerance to spicy food, be careful and always ask the staff. The thai iced tea is also good. Everything is good even their dipping sauce for the cracklings, some dish need more galanggal and kaffir leaves though. The staffs are nice and attentive. They can really brag being Tatler's best. Parking is plentiful, but beware if you are using low clearance cars, I hope they fix that elevated ground.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Sigrid Sarmiento's Lime and Basil in Alfonso, Cavite. Before they also had a branch in Tagaytay Highlands but closed it down already. They maintained their Okada and Baguio presence as of this writing. Recognized by Tatler Asia as one of Philippines' best restaurants, it certainly lived up to this acclaim. Food - 5*, being a group of 8 with voracious but discriminating appetites, we ordered some of the dishes L&B is known for. We started with Tom Yum Gai (chicken, ₱610), Pomelo Salad (₱430), Fresh Spring Rolls (₱350), Pad Thai (₱390), Crispy Pork Red Curry (₱550), Pandan Chicken (₱510) and Pineapple Fried Rice with Thai Sausage (₱490). For dessert, we had Tako (₱260) and Mango Sticky Rice (₱330). For our drinks, we had Thai Iced Tea (₱540 for 3), Thai Iced Coffee (₱160), Coconut Shake (₱150), Tamarind Shake (₱150), White Mocha (₱150), Cappuccino (₱150), Caramel Macchiato (₱180) and Black Americano (₱110). Everything was delicious but the dishes I could not forget were the Crispy Pork Red Curry and the Pineapple Fried Rice with Thai Sausage. Service -5*, top notch, our attentive server, Erick guided us through the menu and orchestrated the arrival of food to accommodate all guests. Atmosphere - 5*, laid back, garden vacation vibe Parking - 4*, street parking and inside the compound

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly there was no waiting time and we were seated immediately. Food was great, everything tasted fresh! Pineapple fried rice is a must try!! They have generous portions for everything and still tasted good even after bringing them home. Staff were very attentive and polite.

Seems like the cook never visited Thailand to taste their cuisine. Most of the food taste way off. Suggest the staff visit Bangkok to taste. Improvement needed. Cant understand resto being award winner.

One of the best restaurants not just in Tagaytay but in the entire country. Away from Tagaytay restaurant alley but worth the drive. Service and food quality is consistent throughout this years. Serving is aplenty and diverse food choices. Pineapple fried rice, fresh spring rolls, salted egg chicken, pomelo salad and pad see iew a must try. Parking is available and they have a large lot at the back that can accommodate dozens of cars.
Rico S — Google review
Total disappointment. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews — this is NOT authentic Thai food at all. Almost everything we ordered was bad. After just a few bites, we didn’t even want to continue eating. The rice was awful, like it was made from cheap, low-quality grains. The tofu curry tasted off, almost spoiled. The so-called “panda chicken” was hard and tough, like it had just been reheated from yesterday. Out of the 12 dishes we ordered, only the Pad Thai, spring rolls, and chicken skewers were somewhat decent. Everything else was extremely bad. Definitely never coming back.
Linda C — Google review
Authentic taste of the Thailand cuisine, presented with a twist. Generous amount to share with family or friends. Garden ambience and thematic interiors, with enough parking slots at the back of the complex.

Update 09/30/25 I would like to clarify the confusion: 1. My original review was mistakenly posted under Lime and Basil Tagaytay Highlands. However, upon checking Google, that branch is permanently closed. This is why I updated my review here—because this was the actual branch where we dined. 2. We came in as walk-in customers, not by reservation. Your Google listing indicated that walk-ins are accepted, which is why we went directly. This explains why you will not find my name on your reservation or registration list. 3. My review was not “copy-pasted” without reason. It was transferred here to reflect the correct branch where our experience happened. The feedback I shared is accurate and based on our actual visit. Please note that under the Consumer Act and online review policies, customers have the right to share truthful accounts of their experiences. My review was written in good faith and with the intention of informing other potential diners. I trust this clarifies the situation. Previous review: We had a very disappointing experience yesterday. Some dishes on the menu are labeled as vegan, best-seller, new, or spicy, with options like mild, regular, and spicy. We ordered the crispy pork krapao, krapao nua, pad thai, and another dish that looked like fried spring rolls (I can't remember the name). The staff took down our order without asking about the spice level, so we assumed the food we ordered was not spicy. When the food arrived, the first dish, crispy pork krapao (which was meant for my son), looked like it had chili peppers. I took a small bite to check, and it was very spicy! I asked the staff if they had brought the wrong dish, but they confirmed it was indeed our order. I pointed out that the crispy pork krapao wasn't labeled as spicy on the menu, which was why we ordered it. Then the krapao nua arrived, which also wasn't labeled as spicy on the menu, yet it, too, had chili peppers and was very spicy. I expressed my concern to the staff, saying that the menu was misleading. They admitted it was their mistake but didn't offer us any options to change our order because it would have come out of the staff's pay. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant, especially if you're new to it or don't enjoy spicy food.

Nestled on the border of Tagaytay and Alfonso, Marcia Adams' Restaurant exudes a Tuscany-like ambiance with its rustic charm and earthy color palette. The dining area features exposed stone walls and terracotta tiles, reminiscent of an Italian countryside setting. For a breathtaking view, guests can reserve the Greek-inspired Sunset Lounge, offering a cozy deck overlooking the picturesque Tagaytay ridge for an unforgettable sunset experience.
We had our very intimate wedding here. From booking to the actual event, everything went smoothly. The staff were approachable and attentive to details. Also courteous. Food was delicious. Steak was well seasoned and cooked to desired doneness. Other meats were also well seasoned. Desserts were perfect. Light with the right amount of sweetness. Will surely be back

This is better than a 3 star but not worthy of a 4 star - so 3.5 is about right There is parking, but it does seem quite limited for the amount of covers that they have. The restaurant seems like a converted building and is laid out in what seems a Mediterranean style. Once parked - be careful the surface is not level and one of our party fell over and was injured - although the staff did help to treat the injuries. Walking down to the restaurant area , whilst atmospheric it is steep, uneven and looks like it as a green surface so would not like to walk down it if wet. The washrooms is a single room with a shower head and was not the cleanest I have visited, but better than some I have visited. The menu is complicated, but thankfully the staff explained it. You choose a main meal, then have a choice of a starter and sweet (but they are limited and if you want other choices you have to pay extra). The menu prices are a little high and the food could have been better. The setting and layout is without doubt the best part of the visit and worth the visit - maybe you are paying for this. WOULD I RECOMMEND? - If you are in the area - yes make the effort. WOULD I RETURN? - Possibly yes I would, but there would be other choices that are more prominent.

First, they have a minimum of 750 pesos per pax. Both salads were good but doesnt taste any different. Beef kebab was done according to my preference (med rare) and was really tender and flavorful Corsican beef stew was also tender, had the right amount of flavor except for the overpowering bay leaf. Strawberry yogurt tasted more like just ice cream. Nothing special On the other hand, lavander creme brulee was great. Right creaminess and kick of that lavender, more like citronella aroma. Overall, order the beef kebab

We were quite disappointed with our recent experience because we couldn’t fully enjoy the restaurant due to a wedding ceremony and reception happening during our visit. We really liked our first time dining here last year, so we decided to come back for my birthday. Unfortunately, upon entering, we were seated in a dimly lit section of the restaurant, which didn’t match the usual cozy and relaxing vibe we loved before. What was supposed to be a peaceful birthday lunch turned into a noisy one, as we could hear the entire wedding program the whole time. We hope they avoid accepting regular dining reservations when there’s a private event, because it really affects the overall experience for other guests. To add to that, their menu on social media was not updated. I even asked for their menu earlier this week, and when we arrived, the prices were higher than what was presented online. It would be much better if their pricing was accurate and consistent across platforms. Pro tip: Ask ahead if there’s any scheduled event on the day of your visit so you won’t go through the same situation. On a positive note, the food was still good and the staff remained attentive to walk-in customers. We appreciate that effort despite the circumstances.

This was for my sisteraka's bday celeb and for 5 pax. Food - The servers will give you a menu and explain the 3 course meal that they offer. Can share naman with everyone disclaimer lang. For our mains, we had italian porkchop (Superb, savory, Ate's order generous portion size, the porkchop can feed two pax, no picture tho), Blue Marlin Kebab (I guess? Sis BF's order, Well-marinated, so far, my favorite out of all the mains we ordered), Bacon and beef kebab (I guess, My lil sisterakas order, medium cooked, it was tender and awesome as well comes with rice and yogurt sauce?), Carbonara with baked mussels (My order, we had to have pasta sa order, so I did, it was creamy, superb taste too!), lastly, Aromatic Pork (My lil bro's order, hint of sweetness is there, comes with pickled pineapples and onions I think, smokey and flavorful, loved it too!) Their main course orders come with rice. For our appetizers, we had the dips, baba ganoush for me and my ate's BF, Hummus for my Lil bro (both comes with semi toasted pita), tzatzika for my lil sis (comes green nacho chips?), and tomato salsa for my ate (comes with focaccia bread that's also their complimentary bread). On the table they have the olive oil and balsamic so you can create your own dip for the complimentary bread. For the desserts, my ate, lil sis and ate's BF ordered panna cotta with lime sauce. Panna cotta was not overly sweet which is good, the lime sauce was also good, the sourness and hunt of sweetness compliments the panna cotta. I ordered lavender creme brulee, it was not overly sweet, the creme brulee was good as well. My lil bro order fried bananas with chocolate dip. It was normal, the chocolate dip was good and a lil bit on the sweet side. It's 5 out of 5 for all our orders, (cannot find any flaws). Btw, salads and soups can replace the dip appetizers, however, there's an additional charge. The price of the 3 course meal will depend on the mains you will choose. (Sadly, I forgot to take a pic of the menu and the italian porkchop. Lol always hungry.) Service - the servers were attentive and proactive with our needs, they interact as well. Atmosphere - we went there at 10am, so opening talaga, ate said that a lot of peepz go there from merienda to dinner cause of the sunset and the chandeliers and stuff. If you're fond of nature, the atmosphere is for you. Since summer ito, may pagkamainit lg but they have fans to compensate the heat. Babalikan ba? YES!

Had an amazing dinner at Marcia Adams! The place is super charming—like eating in a garden. It felt really peaceful and cozy, perfect for a chill dinner. We ordered the Certified Angus Steak with Truffle Butter and it was sooo good! Super tender, juicy, and the truffle butter added so much flavor. The roasted potatoes and veggies on the side were cooked just right. I also tried their pasta with grilled salmon—creamy, garlicky, and the salmon was perfectly grilled. We started with the port wine dip and pita—really tasty and something different. For dessert, the Lavender Crème Brulee was light and fragrant, and the Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce was so refreshing and not too sweet. Also had their soup of the day, which was creamy and comforting—great way to start the meal. Food is a bit pricey, but the quality, taste, and ambiance make it worth it. Staff were friendly and service was smooth. Definitely one of my favorite food spots in Tagaytay.

Beautiful facades and greenery in this restaurant. When coming here be prepared to order an entrée that comes with appetizer and sides. Splurge on the salad instead of getting dips. The best thing to order is the Italian porkchop. I found the Sicilian beef stew underwhelming and could be softer. Service is good.

My mom, my twin sister, and I went here for our birthday lunch on August 17th. It was a place we’d been excited to try. Honestly, we weren’t really after the food, it was more about the ambiance, which we thought was perfect for celebrating our 30th birthday. The place itself was nice, and I really enjoyed the food, especially their Italian Pork Chop. However, I was a bit disappointed with how they handled our request. My sister asked if we could be moved to a less crowded table so we’d have more space to take photos. While they were setting it up, I overheard some gossip between two staff members, followed by a laugh, and I had a strong feeling they were talking about us. One of them, a woman, looked annoyed and didn’t seem very friendly when she brought the glasses to our table. I couldn’t help but feel like she saw us as entitled just for asking to be moved to a more secluded spot. But the moment she noticed me looking at her, her face changed, and she threw on a big, obviously fake smile. I have a feeling she’d remember me, just in case she ever comes across this. I was the one wearing a face mask and round glasses. Out of all the places we could have gone, we chose your restaurant. It was our 30th birthday, a very special occasion, and we wanted to celebrate it with you. Our simple request and the table preparation didn’t even take five minutes, yet we traveled for hours from Manila just to get here. Plus, we didn’t come just to take pictures, we paid for our meal. Please teach your staff to be kind and respectful to customers. On a positive note, the man with the tribal band tattoo on his arm was very accommodating and nice throughout our visit. It was the woman working with him who wasn’t very friendly toward us.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Kainan sa Dalampasigan, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Peninsula de Punta Fuego. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Filipino restaurant
Restaurant
Kainan sa Dalampasigan is a must-visit restaurant in Nasugbu, Batangas. It offers a charming dining experience reminiscent of an old Filipino house during the Spanish era, with a lovely garden view. Despite being located away from the sea, it provides an authentic Batangueno gastronomic experience within a lush garden setting. The restaurant serves popular Filipino dishes like Sinigang na Baboy and Adobong Manok.
We had such a wonderful time at Kainan sa Dalampasigan! I went with my family and it turned into such a memorable feast. The food was absolutely delicious—our table was filled with so many favorites! The Crispy Pata was perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside yet tender inside, while the shrimp dishes were fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. We also enjoyed their grilled specialties and classic Filipino comfort food—every single dish was a hit and nothing went to waste. While waiting for the food, we had fun exploring the place since there are plenty of photo-worthy spots to enjoy. The atmosphere adds so much charm—it’s cozy, festive, and perfect for family gatherings. Between the amazing food, the generous servings, and the beautiful surroundings, this is definitely a restaurant I’d love to go back to again and again!

Food was exceptional. Really recommend the creamy chicken! While the prices look daunting, the servings are good for sharing. We especially loved the bulalo and the mais con hielo! The architecture and ambience was also exquisite—plenty of greenery and sturdy wood. It's really like eating inside a forest. My only negative comment, however is that the Koi are in such a filthy and unhealthy environment! Please clean the waterfall pond :( The koi are sick and have bulging eyes... this is an indication of poor water quality for the fish. Please filter and clean the water. :(

The restaurant has done well in preserving its classic and legendary ambiance, which has made it by far the most iconic dining establishment in Nasugbu. Food quality is still good but not the same as it was before, and a tad more expensive. Overall, it's still my most recommended local resto in the town especially for those who are interested in the classic Nasugbu dining experience

The ambiance is wonderful, with a beautiful natural setting that adds to the experience. The service was also commendable. However, the food did not live up to expectations. We ordered kare-kare, but it didn’t taste like authentic kare-kare. Overall, the dishes were overpriced and not worth the cost.

My friends and I went here after our Nasugbu trilogy hike. We were surprised by how large the property is, the lush greens, well maintained landscape, and the entire dining area. The food is awesome, from the seafood platter, buttered tahong and its sauce - this definitely standout, lumpian shanghai that is good as an appetizer. The only bad side is the tough grilled pork, it is tolerable but can be improved further. The staffs are attentive and nice. The washroom and toilet are really clean! The interior is perfectly cozy, feels like you are dining in someone else's villa. The experience is great 👍, they have plenty of parking and they accept credit cards.

When we arrived we missed the spot as nothing is mentioned from the street. No sign, no indication. After one back and forth, we managed to find the entry, parking was relatively easy. Then we arrived in the restaurant, a large dining room. We waited for a couple of minutes to be placed by waiters but no one came, we were just ignored by the staff. Bulalo soup is good but other orders as fried calamaris or lechon are not so tasty. I suspected calamari to be frozen. So it’s a mixed feeling review for me, we had a good family time but the food wasn’t great.

St. Francis Xavier Parish

Catholic church
The St. Francis Xavier Church, while not as ancient as other local churches, serves as a reminder of the Spanish era in this part of the Philippines. Constructed in the early 1850s by the townspeople, it was dedicated to St. Francis Xavier and Nuestra Senora Virgen de le Escalera. Sadly, this wooden church was ravaged by fire. Nevertheless, both its exterior and interior are stunning to behold.
My firat time in this Nasugbu iconic church is a beautiful experience. The church is large and wel lit with religious glass mosaic adorning the walls. Their Marian and Jesus' icon displays, some antique and dated can warm one religious fervor. The religious feel of this church is strong. Visit them and help renovate the church thru a small donation. Lets keep this beautiful tradition alive, even as a tourist!

El Cocinero is a top-notch restaurant located in JP Laurel St. Barangay Dos, Nasugbu, Batangas. This establishment specializes in delectable Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, masterfully prepared by the talented head chef, Arnaldo Limeta. Having honed his culinary skills during years of study in Ibiza, Chef Limeta ensures that every dish served at El Cocinero meets the highest standards of quality.
I think Nasugbu has the best number of great restaurants per square kilometer. Food is fresh, fish soup was vibrant, flavorful and hearty. Karekare was good and you can taste the peanut in the peanut sauce. Lechon Kawali was soft inside, crispy outside. Gambas is my recommendation though. If you believe that taste is king, try this. Great effort considering they were about to close. Service is also attentive. Atmosphere is cozy and family themed. Definitely worth a detour. Edit: been here twice and I am changing the rating of food to 5. Salpicao is a blast! And hands down the best paella negra i have ever tasted. The socarrat is not burned and crispy, which should be a staple for paellas. Kudos!
Kurt H — Google review
Service was slow, had high expectations given the good reviews from others and the price isn’t cheap either. Paella was bland (Negra and El Cocinero), like steamed rice with toppings. Churros were also low tier. Never had churros like this? My nieces thought they were serving cheese sticks lol. (But maybe I’m unaware of a kind like this?) Staff were accommodating and kind naman.

I always admire Filipinos returning to the Philippines after years of working and learning skills and culture elsewhere in the world. This is another good example of that. Chef Arnaldo a native of Nasugbu Batangas opened his own restaurant, El Cocinero after almost 14 years of learning the cuisine, culture and restaurant business in Spain. For this visit, we were actually craving for Pinoy food and was interested to see how the culinary influences of working and living in Spain has impacted the popular local dishes. We had Adobong Pusit and Salpicao as our mains, and closed dinner with Churros con Chocolate. We enjoyed both the mains, but sadly we were dissatisfied with the dessert; although all in all it was a great meal. Price is not very friendly for the location. The staff were courteous and attentive. Parking slots were available in front. The ambiance was very rustic, very homey. #PinoyFoodTrip #PhilippineChronicles

Food was okay. Expected a bit more for the price and reputation. Ordered seafood pasta, baked mussels, salpicao, and cheesecake for dessert. Wasn't able to take photos of everything, sorry! The menu needs detailed description of dishes! I had to Google stuff up to know what's what. Seafood pasta - good seafood portions. For a greasy bowl of pasta, it was surprisingly bland. Needed some spice? More tomato flavor? Idk. Baked mussels - around 8 pcs of mussels. Flavor wise, would have appreciated more garlic and cheese. Salpicao - no doubt the best out of all we ordered. Good flavor. Really liked the confit garlic. Cheesecake - also good. Small portion size though.

2nd time this year is same bad experiance: service tries to be quick, but finally the food comes very late, eaven no other customer there, just my wife amd me. My mixed Salat was really ok, but too much vinaigrette (what I was not asked for what dressing) but than it stopped. My wife's soupe came after my Salat, and what we ordered after that, took 35 minutes to come. I ordered 2 different pizza, but sorry, not available. That means they on ly take stock from the deepfreeze, not fresh made... than I ordered paella with meat and vegetables, but that was too much, the kitchen was too busy to make that. We both were very hungry but we where prepared to go without food. For us WE WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN, SORRY.

If you're seeking a serene escape, look no further than Peninsula de Punta Fuego. This stunning destination offers the perfect backdrop for leisurely beach strolls, sandcastle building, and refreshing swims in crystal-clear waters. As you bask in the beauty of sunrises and sunsets, you'll be captivated by the vibrant colors that paint the horizon. While enjoying this paradise, it's wise to stay mindful of your surroundings—sand fleas can sometimes be found near floating seaweed or decaying wood.
I super love the lpwer beach area that I've been here twice just this year. The place is exclusive and secure. Staff are polite. What I love is that the beach area is tucked away in a cove. The waves are so calm, the water clear, and the sand, pure. You get to feel waves when someone rides a motorboat or rides a jetski. The pool here is wonderful, too. My kids love it. The Il Jardineto restaurant serves Italian food, which tastes good. Not a fan of the fruit shakes though. Will definitely come back soon.

Pleasant thoughts and cherished memories have been made in this location over the years. Time passes quickly and carefree as each year passes. Peninsula de Punta Fuego is a fantastic place to just while a day away being totally lazy by the pool or by the beach, playing golf or enjoying any of the countless facilities made available throughout the community. If you come to Peninsula de Punta Fuego as a guest, the best way to enjoy the property is if your guest sponsor gives you access to their villa and the opportunity to stay over. There's just too much to do here, you won't be able to take it all in in one day. If you are here for just a day, though, this is my recommended itinerary: 1. If you arrive early, spend the cooler hours of the morning at one of the beaches in the main club. If you don't want to swim yet, play a round of putt-putt golf or find a place to sit and relax. 2. When it gets hotter around 10 a.m., head to Terrazas (your day pass will be accepted at both communities). The cabanas there are fantastic for sitting and relaxing in the shade, the pool is shaded by trees, and the al-fresco dining at the restaurant is nice and cool. Swimming at the beach here is sub-par, so you won't be missing anything by staying out of the saltwater while you're here. The fine sand here is also prone to heating up to blisteringly hot levels, so avoid any lit sandy areas unless you have asbestos soles. 3. When you do decide you want to take a dip in the ocean, head back to the main club. Any of the beaches on the north side of the peninsula are recommended, since the way the wind and currents work in this area during the dry season, the peninsula shields the north-side beaches from strong winds and currents, keeping the water clear and calm. If the north-side beaches aren't looking good when you arrive, however, it's a good bet that the south-side beaches are where it'll be best to spend the rest of the day. 4. Just before sunset, head to the main clubhouse. The warm infinity pools there are the perfect place to relax, wind down and prepare your mind to return home while you enjoy the sunset view.
Robert C — Google review
Nice clubhouse and gardens. At lot of houses in the subdivision development may have been designed without space for generators, so they had to put them in front of their houses. What a racket.

If you ever find yourself in Nasugbu, make sure to visit L’Bulalo Restaurant. This establishment offers authentic Filipino cuisine at reasonable prices. While it may not be extravagant, the restaurant provides a clean and relaxing atmosphere for its customers. Their specialty is their delicious bulalo, although there are some areas where improvement could be made, such as the pork sisig dish. One highlight of dining here is that they offer free Barako coffee with a pleasant aroma and taste.
Free coffee. But the bulalo needs some improvements. But the pork sisig is pretty good. Pretty Chuncy cuts that doesn't feel like there too much onions.

First off, good service. We went with our 4 month old and they were quick to position the fan towards our baby. We went for lunch and the place isn't air conditioned so it was noticeably hot. After eating, they quickly obliged when we asked for a disposable container with ice where we can put our baby's milk bottle. Ambiance was good, a bit hot for lunch though. Food was good, typical home cooked meal. We ordered sweet and sour pork, chopsuey, and baked scallops. Sweet and sour pork - slightly different from the usual Chinese flavor. A bit more in the sweet side. Pork was fatty but just okay. Chopsuey - peppery, good helping of seafood Baked scallops - okay flavor, needs more garlic for me. Small scallops.

We had a great experience at L Bulalo's! The food was absolutely delicious—definitely worth the wait. The serving time was a bit longer, but they made sure to give us a heads-up, which we appreciated. Parking is quite limited, with space for only about 3-4 cars, so we had to park beside 7-Eleven. As for the ambiance, it’s simple and not too eye-catching, but it still gives a cozy and welcoming vibe. Overall, a solid place to enjoy a great meal!

We were looking for a most recommended bulalo restaurant near Canyon Cove, and this came up as the leader. They can offer at least 3 parking slots right in front of the restaurant. We felt the humidity of the place since they only use electric fans. The female server was attentive in taking our orders. She told us ahead that we would wait for about 30 minutes for the food to be served, but actually we waited for an hour, which I understood as they have the prepare those from scratch. However, they pulled off with their food. Their bulalo was very competitive against the ones we have tasted! Their kinilaw na isda is sooo refreshing! - I could taste the freshly squeezed coconut milk. We also enjoyed the sisig! We always said “masarap” to each food we ordered! Although the place can be hot and humid, but their food is heaven. 👌

When you see their menu, you would think that the food is pricey. But when the food was served, it was good for 3 people (2 for hungry peeps lol). We got the seafood chopseuy and crunch pork sisig... They were delicious! I highly recommend this place.

La Locanda Ristorante Pizzeria is an Italian restaurant situated in Nasugbu, Batangas. The exterior resembles a converted house, while the interior boasts homely furniture. Visitors praise the consistency of their dishes, particularly recommending the mushroom pizza and sumptuous pork ribs. The lobster spaghetti and carbonara are also highly regarded for their delightful flavors.
The food was good and the staff were accommodating. It would just be better if the staff did not shout the orders or if there was another way to communicate the orders to their kitchen. Our family often eats here when we are at Nasugbu. The food prices are in midrange level. They have parking but if you come on weekends, better to arrive early to save a good spot where you don’t have to step out to move your car when other customers are leaving. We also ordered dinner for our New Year’s evening celebration. We had pansit, lumpiang shanghai, beef mechado and their mushroom chicken.

Not a surprise, was looking for Google map interest in the Lian area. This is one of the top recommendations, it's located in Nasugbu town proper (few mins away from Lian). We came in expecting good food and we got good food and service The other two dishes is good but not to our preference since it's mostly cheese (and abundant amount to boot). The highlight of our visit is the Prosciutto pizza. At 700 pesos, we cannot believe the amount of ham on top of the pizza. It's not even an exaggeration that it contains at least 8x more prosciutto ham than typical prosciutto pizza. Upon seeing it served, we assumed it would taste okay since they cannot simply serve that much Ham. Oh, we were mistaken, one bite and all our doubts went away. My wife and I kept even talking about it as we left. The place is nice, parking is easy and is old but well maintained.

We visited this restaurant thanks to the excellent reviews. The food was indeed very tasty, especially the pizza. However, there was too little pasta in the seafood pasta dish, waitress advised us that it is good for 2, but it was too little of noodles; we would recommend increasing the amount of pasta. The spinach ravioli were finger-licking good. Unfortunately, the service here was the worst we have seen in the Philippines so far! Two waitresses moved very slowly and only did their job when we called them. We even had to ask them to clear the dirty plates. We will come back again, but we would like to see better service.

We also got their Bismarck pizza which I wish had a little bit more egg and that the egg was more fun but overall still delicious. We also got their fried mozzarella balls which I would suggest you skip since they were pretty stiff and didn’t come with any tomato sauce for dipping.

Nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Nasugbu, Batangas, Terrazas de Punta Fuego is a luxurious haven that promises an unforgettable escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With its stunning 800-meter stretch of pristine beach and inviting Turtle Pool, this exclusive retreat offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Guests can indulge in delightful culinary experiences at Cafe Sol while soaking up the serene atmosphere ideal for family gatherings or corporate retreats.
The pool is great, the beach is beautiful with little crabs running around. There is a vender that would offer you his catch and cook it for you but I didn't try it because we had other plans. The sunset is unique and beautiful.

Booked August 2022. Terazzas is a ride or a very steep walk down from Amara. This resort within Punta Fuego, at least to me, pales in comparison to Lower Beach at the Peninsula. The beach/sans is not as nice and the waves are strong. But we were able to get fresh seafood early in the morning from fishermen unloading beside it. The pool is hidden under a literal forest so you won't get burned, but it wasn't as clean as the one in the maim Club or in the Lower Beach. Loved the food at Cafe del Sol though. Much better food than what they serve (at least to me, lunch menu) at Cafe San Diego at the Club. Still a 4, it's still better than most other resorts in the area.

This is a very nice beach. Relaxing, not too crowded. Clear waters, pool option too. It is a bit pricey though but still i think its worth its price.

A good beach located near Metro Manila. They have their own residential subdivision for those looking to build themselves a weekend getaway. The resort is kinda small though, but it isn't open to the public so I guess that's okay.

Calayo Beach

Nestled in the charming fishing village of Calayo, located in the northwestern part of Nasugbu, Calayo Beach is a tropical paradise that beckons travelers with its fine light brown sand and crystal-clear waters. This serene beach is sheltered by lush hills, ensuring calm waves that are perfect for families with young children looking to enjoy a day by the sea. Originally a quaint fishing community, Calayo has evolved into a welcoming public beach destination featuring budget-friendly accommodations.
Place is beautiful, locals and tourist must be involve in clean up drive as pieces of plactics can be seen along the cove. Stayed at Espasyo giving it 5 stars for the experience

Photos used on Booking.com must have been very old. It was nothing like the photos on Booking.com. Moulds on all kitchen appliances, fridge disgusting, bathroom absolutely disgusting and take note you have to fill the toilet head to be able to use and flush it. The pool was green, not blue, and hanging clothes everywhere. There is nothing like the "Resort" on the Booking.com photos. We we're meant to stay 2 nights and end up leaving the following day because we can't handle the place anymore. The only good thing was that the staff were friendly and the boat tour was good.
Tracy N — Google review
The beach is so dirty, lots of plastic waste, animal poops, noisy karaoke, pulluters like snokers and vapers. Sewerage waters are openly flowing beside the pathways. No wonder it may be siping into the sea. Where does the P20 pesos per person encironmental fee collection going? I didn't see any barangay staff picking the plastic along the beach. I wonder if the barangay oficials may be currupt.
Rommel V — Google review
Nice place. The beach has a brown fine sand. There's a lot of water activities to enjoy in the area. Along the passage of Calayo Rd., there's an environmental fee worth P20.00 per head. Expect a large volume of crowds specially on long weekends and holidays because it's one of the nearest public beaches in Manila.
Arjay P — Google review
Experience beach life at the Calayo beach. A more public beach side away from Papaya cove, Pico de Loro and Punta Fuego in between. You may find different types of beach resort around the area with some cabins for rent and water sports you will love. Thou make sure to search for the right camp or resort before planning a weekend trip or team building tour. There are multiple entrances to the main beach and certain resorts so ask around once you reach the main dirt road access after the highway.
CC L — Google review
The scenery is superb but the administration and facility is dissapointing. They don't have water for shower. You need to buy a galon of water to be able to take a bath. The place is full of trash and the admin doesn't assist you. You have to figure out things for yourself. But We saw that there is a private resort at the other side of the beach you can just rent a room there if you are planning to stay overnight or you can just book a cottage and pay 250 pesos entrance fee. We wish we knew that sooner

Calayo Beach cove is a hidden gem deep in Nasugbu, Batangas' mountainous landscape. From Tagaytay it would only take 45 minutes to reach. Coming from Manila via Cavite would take you two and a half hours. Calayo Beach is also a jump off point for island hopping such as Pulo and Bituin Island. If you're longing for that serene, calming feeling away from the hustle and bustle of city life... then head now to Calayo.

Something must be done with littering and thrash all over the beach area. Environmental fees are collected, yet we did not see any clean up. Tourists should also be policed on littering.

Beach pavillion
Bituin Cove, also known as Angara Cove, is a serene and secluded beach escape in Nasugbu. With its calm waters, white sand beaches, and turquoise waters, it offers an idyllic setting for relaxation away from the crowds. While there are no accommodations available at the cove, visitors are welcome to pitch their tents and enjoy activities such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, fish feeding, and island hopping.
Relaxing and instagrammable worthy place. There's no electricity here, so you need to bring your own flashlight and powerbank so you can charge your gadgets. You can do snorkeling, island hopping, fish feeding and chilling on the beach.

It makes sense why the islands such as this bituin cove is a bit better to visit than the beach side from the road. Trashes everywhere. Houses are nearly on water. Its really a shame that this place is not taken care of. People should realize if we go to a beach, we rather go to something better where our money is worth spending for. A lot of beaches in the Philippines to choose from. If you still want to get visitors, take care of your environment.

Here's what to expect: 1. Once you arrive at the island you will be given a spot where you can place your tent. The camp site is not camping by the beach side vibes, it's like a small forest. The island has a small shoreline 2. Amenities are not that great. Comfort rooms are only hollow block and no water supply. You'll have to fetch water by yourself in the water pump. The camp site will give you small bucket and dipper upon arrival. If i'm not mistaken there are only 4 comfort rooms available 3. No water and Electricity Bring lot's of powerbank and your own light Water supply is only through water pump (poso) 4. Make sure to avail some activity packages. We availed activity package for 500/head for 10 pax including back and forth boat ride to the island The boat will pick you up early in the morning and will take you to different spots for below activity -Cliff Diving (Make sure to jump as this is the best part) - Fish feeding - Snorkeling

Calayo Green Terrace is a stunning beachfront resort located along the serene Calayo Beach, where visitors can enjoy leisurely walks on soft, light-brown sand or take a refreshing dip in the ocean. The resort features spacious family-friendly rooms that comfortably accommodate 4-6 guests, making it an ideal choice for larger groups. Guests can unwind by the beautiful infinity pool or partake in various water activities like kayaking and boating.
Best resort we've been to in Batangas this year because 1 beachfront and they also have a pool. Affordable rates. Good for family outing.Accomodating staffs, clean restrooms.

Well-maintained, clean, secured facilities. Friendly people. Place is quite small though. Pool, beach, kayaking, boating, videoke are the things you can do.
Ed C — Google review
It was just this December when we went and so the place wasn't too busy. Spectacular sunset view greeted us when we came. Family of 7 adults and 6 kids accommodated 2 rooms and we're given discount because of senior citizen. Rooms are huge and inviting. There's even a clothes line at the back door of bedroom to hang your wet clothes so it isn't too wet to pack the next day. The place is very nice and clean, and the people working there are very accommodating. Beach is just few steps away from our rooms/table. We rented a canopy with table since we brought our own food and cooking stuff. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach which is shallow and calm. We adults enjoyed our stay there as well and will probably go back the next time we're at Philippines. Needed to check out of the rooms at 12nn but by asking politely, we're able to extend our stay using the canopy and the facilities of the resort. Was given the favor because it wasn't peak season so it may be different in peak season.
Sarah W — Google review
The pool is nice. Big enough for a few small crowds to swim in and watching the kids is not that hard though. They also have an overlooking viewing deck beside the pool. Their hotel is a few stories high and their restaurant on the top deck has an amazing view of the beach and sandbar. Room rates are reasonable considering space and amenities included. Only downside is the cottages, if you're going on a daytour. The're kind of small specially if you're in a big group.

They have a good enough pool and a few stories high air conditioned rooms that sets them apart from the rest of the Calayo Beach Resorts. Fortune Island, often referred to as the "Greece of the Philippines," is a stunning remote getaway located just off the coast of Nasugbu, Batangas. Once an exclusive luxury resort envisioned by former Governor Jose Antonio Leviste, it features breathtaking sandy shores and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The island boasts remnants of Greek-style columns that evoke the grandeur of Athens' Acropolis, making it a unique spot for photography and exploration.
I was shocked with the beauty of the island. The price is worth the pay exploring this island alone back in January 2024. I had a superb experience. Staffs at the port are kind and accommodating. Cheers! ❤️
Rodney A — Google review
The entire island is enchanting. We put up tents and spent over night in this island which does not have enough fresh water and electricity. The front side, facing mainland Batangas are stretches of coves/beaches while the other side are cliff and great dive sites. I love the boat wreckage and the lighthouse on the highest point of the island. The most picturesque is the mini Parthenon.
Drake H — Google review
Fortune Island is a small island off the coast of Nasugbu Batangas and is perfect for those who love white sand beach. There are corals that are teeming with marine life and perfect for snorkeling but is NOT for the faint of heart. Here's a few reasons why: 1. A little out of your usual range. Entrance fee costs 350 for daytour and 500 for overnight. Kids below 4 are free of charge. Tent corkage is 200 per day. The costly part of the trip is the boat that will carry you back and forth to the island. It usually ranges from 6000 for 13-15pax. 2. Amenities - or lack thereof. The island is bare and when I say bare, i mean it. There are small patches of trees where you can pitch your tent but it can get really hot during the day that the best way to cool it down is to stay submerged in its crystal waters. Don't expect to get that glorious bath after dipping in the salty seawater for the entire day. Prepare to get sticky for the rest of your trip. Oh, the restrooms are a-ok and gets the job done. Bring wipes! Lots of them though. 3. Mosquitoes and Flies. As expected from a remote and desolate island, there is an abundance of blood-sucking mosquitoes there coupled with pesky flies. Hack is to bring incense sticks or mosquito repellent lotion. 4. Hot! Hot! Hot! Don't rent the cottages with blue tarps. They get notoriously hot during the day. Renting that is illogical. The place is really good for those who seek adventure or just really wants to have a good time. A couple of beer under the starry night is a huge break from your monotonous 8-5pm routine. • Get that instagrammable shot from the unfinished acropolis atop the mountain. • Have a go at the diving cliff at the back of the island. Beware that it is really high and not safe for the untrained. • Commune with the underwater creatures in its clear waters.

Exquisite and beautiful with a historical past. This is one of the places that was recommended to us for our pre-wedding photo shoot thanks to it’s proximity to Punta Fuego. Although I must say it’s kind of hard to get here, considering limited transportation, and highly unpredictable weather we found a boat to take us on this island but I’m gonna be honest, the waves were really erratic, although we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. The island itself has gorgeous blue waters. It’s like a little oasis tucked away so close, yet feel so far from Manila. Our photos and videos came out magical. It was surreal. Here are some of our pre wedding photos and video is on YouTube

Best campsite ever! - the best time to come here is during the summer season, March to onset of June (why? So, you'll not be greeted with rough waves and seaweeds by the shore; cliff diving is best at this time too) - no freshwater source (bring everything you need esp. this one) MUST READ: don't get disappointed when there's no other water activities in the island, don't expect too much from this island, its unmaintained structures and lush yet rugged formation shall entice your senses enough^^
Jhalyn P — Google review
Beautiful island. Shore was wide and far so you'd really get to enjoy the water. You're free to do whatever you want. Just be sure to bring food that won't upset your stomach. There are no toilets. In fact, you'd see one side filled with you-know-what.
Miguel B — Google review
A must visit summer destination. Fortune Island is located 1hour and 15minutes boat ride, west of Nasugbu Batangas. For backpackers, bus ride to nasugbu is near Pasay Taft MRT. For Day Tours: Plan a trip where you will arrive at nasugbu proper, early in the morning. A P10/pax tricycle ride to the shore will take 5 to 10minutes. From the nasugbu shore, take a boatride for 1hr and 15mins. The boat ride commonly costs 4500 and you will have to bring your own food. Day tours usually last up to 430pm but in some cases, the boatmen would suggest leaving early specially whem waves start white-capping, which is a sign of big waves or violent air. I suggest you tour around the island first, with your camera to capture precious memories. You can later go swimming on the crystal clear waters or try cliff diving. Best to visit during the months of March to May before the start of rainy season. 10 must brings 1. water 2. food 3. camping tent (can rent) 4. snorkeling, diving gears 5. camera 6. your fone (smart and globe has strong signal) and powerbank 7. yourself and your buddies 8. money 3k for each for a group of 6 friends (ideal) 9. extra clothes 10 cooking things (from plates to barbecue stand) the island has no electricity. if your cam ran out of juice, you can obly recharge when you are back in Nasugbu
Willy O — Google review
Do not believe those who say the island is full of beauty. It would be, if it wasn’t that polluted with plastic of all sorts. The photos I posted don’t give an idea of the level of pollution the island is suffering. The passage to the island was very expensive (about £80 in total) and not worth it. The only fun thing is the Greek-style temple and diving in the blue sea behind it (you can walk down the steps to get there).

Punta Fuego Beach Club is a delightful beach club that offers a wide range of amenities and activities. It provides a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for relaxation. Additionally, they provide golf cart transportation to explore the different shores at Punta Fuego. The club also offers various water sports activities like kayaking and banana boat rides. For those who enjoy mini-golf, there is a course available for both children and adults alike.
Absoltuly amazing with multiple beaches available. Although please beware this is a private area and to access this you need to own a home here or be invited as a guest by an owner. The area is absolutely amazing and the beaches are clean, calm and clear. There is even a marine sanctuary and you can go snorkeling and see the marine life.

Probably due to the mothers day weekend crowd the overall service and quality was a bit disappointing. It took a long time after checking for a golf car to assist us with our bags and take us to our room. I had to ask everything, regarding spa treatment and price, what type of water activity they had etc, there’re no pamphlets whatsoever to let you know. I had to Google it and the info they had on their website is inconsistent with what they actually offer. Upon entering our rooms, I found one of the mini bar snacks have been open and eaten, there’s no hot water, and the bathroom constantly smells of sewer. The rooms walls are thin, so I could hear the TV, conversation, crying child from the connecting room. First day dining was a nightmare, one of the spoon on my table was dirty with obvious sauce on it, the waitstaff despite their best effort, seemed tired. Service was next to none, with many items on the menu out of stock/not available. Although the pool was beautiful, there wasn’t enough beach towels that day. We visited lower beach and wanted to try our hand at the mini golf, but it was in dire conditions. The overall feel of the place is old and need renovation. The second day was much better, the crowd left and service improved and smiles returned to the staff. The food was good and we love our massage at the ylang ylang spa. The water sports staff seemed low on energy as well, but we had fun and they were friendly and helpful. (There aren’t many options of water sports to choose from. ) Overall, I would hesitate to visit again unless there are improvements made.

Punta Fuego is one of the most enjoying beach club I went to. Went the as a group of 18-20 but still the place has a lot to offer. The place is quiet and serene. They offer golf cart service if you want to try the other shore at Punta Fuego. They have water sports activities like Kayaking, Banana boat, etc. They also have a mini golf course for the kids and kids at heart. There are lockers for your things in case you do not want to bring it all the time. The bathroom and comfort rooms are very clean. It has hair blower inside. HAHA Perfect for family vacation. Overall stay is great and it is highly recommended especially during summer days since they don't overcrowd the place also.
Jed G — Google review
Totally misleading experience. The staff failed to communicate any clear policy about entrance fees or options. We arrived expecting to explore and relax a bit, and were told we must book a room to enter—so we agreed. But while they were processing our booking, the weather turned awful, with rain and thunder, making any stay pointless. We informed them we wouldn’t proceed. They didn’t cancel or apologize—instead, they charged us an unexpected “entrance fee” that changed three times (first 1200, then 550, finally 500). How is that acceptable? Not only were we not properly informed, we were basically forced to pay just to step onto the property. Highly unprofessional. The most expensive CR and scammers instead of personnel.
Ignatov E — Google review
Extremely disappointed by how this resort handles guests! Upon arrival, the guard told us this is private property and the only way to enter is to book a room-for a hefty 10,000 php. We agreed and proceeded to the reception, where they took our documents and started the check-in process. While waiting, we went to the restaurant for coffee. A heavy rainstorm started, making it impossible to enjoy any of the facilities. We decided not to stay and informed the staff, only to be told we now have to pay an “entrance fee” of PHP 1200. After arguing, they reduced it to PHP 550, but we still ended up being charged PHP 500 per person. Why were we not informed about this fee beforehand? And why didn’t they mention that there was a PHP 1200 option that allows access to the facilities without booking a room? Very misleading and unprofessional. Avoid.

Mountains
Nestled in a mountain range, Mt. Pico De Loro offers hiking trails suitable for all skill levels, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the city, sea, and surrounding islands. Its name, meaning 'Parrot's Beak' in Spanish, is derived from its distinct shape resembling a bird's beak. This dormant volcano is a favorite among adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts with climbing and trekking experience.
Moderate Hike and best for diversity walk This place is suitable for nature enthusiasts because of its diverse flora and fauna. This is a DENR protected area, so the number of hikers is limited. The online registration fee is 200 pesos which goes to the protection and cleanliness of the area and 500 pesos for the tour guide, which is good for 5 person. The dense forest protects the hiker from direct sunlight but can be tricky because of the low air ventilation. The trek from station 7 up until the summit is quite challenging because of its assault but dont worry for there are ropes installed along the trail. There is a 145 step stair before reaching the peak where you can see a panoramic view of Cavite and Batangas. Just remember to protect the wildlife and leave no trace of garbage behind.

We joined a day hike tour to Mt. Pico de Loro, starting at 7 AM and finishing around 12 NN. The hike was surprisingly easy and beginner-friendly. Perfect if you’re bringing along friends or family who haven’t tried hiking before. The trail is mostly flat with only a few gradual ascents, which makes Pico de Loro a great “mother mountain” to recommend for first-timers. I also liked that there was a short orientation before the climb, and the whole area is very clean and well-maintained. Kudos to the LGU for managing it well! Just a reminder to fellow hikers: let’s all do our part and avoid leaving any trash. The tour guides were also very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, it’s an easy yet fulfilling hike!

It's the highest mountain in Cavite. You need to have prior registration to climb as walk-ins are not allowed. It has 10 stations and the trek starts with gradual ascent in the forest. It's not too hot since you'll be walking within the forest but it's still best to bring 2-3L of water. It is a minor climb but I had a harder time here compared to Mt. Ulap because of the part at Station 9 where you need to lift yourself with a rope to climb. On the summit, there's an amazing 360 view of Cavite and Batangas though what amazed me the most is how they were able to build stairs going to the peak. I've heard from my guide that it was them who carried all the materials and built the stairs because prior to the stairs, a lot of climbers slide down frequently. It was for safety reasons.
Jo F — Google review
Mt. Pico de Loro offers a rewarding hike with stunning panoramic views from the summit. The trail is a mix of challenging climbs and easier sections, making it great for both beginners and seasoned hikers. On the way to the peak, the path is more dangerous as stones provide little traction to the uphill/downhill traverse. Exercise caution and wear appropriate footwear. Reaching the famous rock monolith is an exciting bonus! The lush scenery and fresh air make the effort worth it. Just be prepared for the steep final ascent and pack enough water. A must-do for nature lovers!

Me coming back to this mountain several times is enough reason why this mountain is highly recommended for experienced and beginners alike. After closing for several years, Mt. Palay-Palay (Pico de Loro) is once again open to visitors and this time around, the hiking activities are managed more responsively. Would have been a great experience to climb the monolith or the “Toreng Bato” but it’s already cordoned off and that’s understandable. I hope that the hiking trails will be preserved for a very long time and what the park rangers are doing is a step towards the right direction.
Jom L — Google review
Mt. Pico De Loro is good for beginners. Depending on your speed, you can finish the climb in 2-3 hours. It is easier to climb during summer but more challenging during rainy season. The hardest part is walking on the muds, it is too slippery. It is advisable to wear shoes with spikes. It has an iconic huge stone standing on its own. They call it monolit and only one person at a time can climb it. It is better to climb this mountain early in the morning to avoid long lines in monolit. DIY is possible. There are stores along the way so you will not get hungry. You may bring your own meal but be sure to keep your trash with you. The view is breathtaking.

Beach
Nestled in the stunning landscape of Nasugbu, Batangas, Pico de Loro Cove is a true paradise for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. This hidden gem offers breathtaking views that are perfect for unwinding away from the hustle and bustle of city life. With its pristine beach and an array of water sports like paddleboarding and jet skiing, it’s ideal for thrill-seekers looking to soak up the sun while enjoying exhilarating activities.
Pico de Loro Beach is a great spot for a relaxing getaway, especially for families. The beach itself is beautiful and very kid-friendly — the waves are usually calm, making it safe for children to swim and play. The surroundings are stunning, with a small "forest" right in front of the beach that adds a peaceful, natural vibe to the place. One of the best things about staying here is the flexibility: you can choose between booking in the hotel or finding a place on Airbnb (plenty of them), which makes it easy to plan according to your preferences. The overall stay is very comfortable, and the facilities are well-maintained. The location is also convenient — it’s not too far from Manila, so it’s perfect for a quick weekend escape without long travel times. Overall, Pico de Loro Beach offers a nice balance of nature, comfort, and accessibility. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to relax by the sea.

Cutad Cove at Pico de Loro is a hidden paradise with calm, crystal-clear waters and a stunning, secluded beach. The serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings make it perfect for relaxation. It's an ideal spot for swimming, kayaking, or simply enjoying the peaceful scenery. A must-visit for those looking for a tranquil beach experience away from the crowds!
Rock M — Google review
The sea water on the beach is cloudy, and the water in the swimming pool is also cloudy. The entrance fee is 1500P per person, and other items are additionally charged. The scenery is good, but the overall evaluation will not come again.

Very beautiful location. The grounds of the property are nice however alot of work needs to be done in regards to upkeep. Alot of areas such as lighting posts need to be repainted, rust has taken hold in alot of areas. The room accommodations were nice, not 5 Star nice but nice none the less. Price wise, everything is way overpriced. 10% to 15% more than what you would normally pay. The Staff are super friendly. This place is a must go place to visit even though it gets 2 Stars from us.
Melvin J — Google review
It's a great place but the beach water isn't as clear compared to other beaches I've visited in Luzon.

Overrated and expensive. place is good but not worth the price. Private beach and pool are very crowded during peak season.

Layag Layag Beach in Nasugbu, Batangas has gained popularity as a budget-friendly destination since 2016. The beach boasts creamy white sand and clear waters teeming with marine life, perfect for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore rock formations, go cliff jumping, and indulge in island hopping activities nearby. The beach is known for its crystal-clear waters and cream-colored sand, with a sail-shaped rock formation giving it the name 'Layag Layag.'
Layag Layag Beach – A Hidden Paradise! 🌊🏝️✨ Crystal-clear waters, soft sands, and a peaceful vibe. Perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying stunning sunsets. A must-visit for beach lovers!
Lyn S — Google review
For adventure-seekers, Layag-Layag beach is an ideal camping spot with its rugged shoreline featuring seagrass and rocks. While the beach offers exciting activities like cliff diving and snorkeling, a thorough cleanup would make it perfect for swimming. Keep in mind that prices for food are similar to those in Manila, so it's best to stock up on essentials before heading to the campsite. To get there, take a short 5-10 minute boat ride. However, be aware that the campsite has some drawbacks, including unclean water in the restrooms, which rely on seawater. Additionally, there's no electricity, but signal reception is available. With some improvements, this spot could be even more enjoyable for campers and beachgoers. Parking space offers a more decent comfort room for just ₱25/pax.

Highly Recommended but there are some sanitation needed to be done the common toilet is dirty and too many flies

Romantic place for beach camping - no fresh water, electricity, comfort rooms. Beach has a nice view of surrounding islets. 2-hour drive from Metro Manila - perfect for daytour.

One of the worst places I've visited. Nothing to do except stay in your tent almost all day because the water had too many seaweed and moss so you don't really see what you're stepping into if it's suddenly deep or not. No decent bathroom whatsoever and loads and loads of people. Stayed there for 3 days and only got to bathe once in those 3 days cause there was a shortage of running water and people were all lined up for one bathroom in the whole beach. Not to mention the trash that the place is filled with as well as on the water, who knew swimming with empty bottles of soda and empty bags of chips ain't fun? And there were no stores on the beach, the guys that take you there on a small boat literally just leave you there to your own devices until the day comes to pick you up. If you didn't bring enough water or food, well you're screwed.
Steven C — Google review
Place is only good for those who don't have infants/kids. No decent bathroom and if you want to take a shower using a tap water, you need to order that cost 60pesos/container.There weren't too many trees so even if you have a tent, you can't stay inside because it it too hot which will make your baby feel uncomfortable.Water is clear, but it has too many seaweeds.
Margerie A — Google review
Great place for swimming, snorkeling, camping. I just don't like the garbage scattered everywhere. I hope the visitors should learn how to clean their area before leaving. Overall, I'm still looking forward to go back to this place someday.

Mt. Talamitam

Hiking area
If you're looking for a hiking adventure that strikes the perfect balance between challenge and accessibility, then Mt. Talamitam is an excellent choice. Nestled in Nasugbu, Batangas, this mountain offers a moderate climb that typically takes around 2.5 hours to reach the summit, making it suitable for both novice and experienced hikers alike.
Overall a manageable hike. Trail can get narrow and overgrown with grass. There's a sari-sari store midway through the trail if you get hungry or just want to rest. Started the climb at 3 AM so wearing a headlamp is a must. Summit of both mountains felt peaceful… but once the sun’s up, it’s right on you. ☀️ So wearing sunblock is a must! 😁

Mt. Talimtiman is the part of Nasugbu Trilogy, three mountains in Batangas where you can hike within a day. Among the three mountains, Talimtiman is arguably the most famous and has the most breathtaking view of Batangas. The trail is easy difficulty. You can actually do the whole hike for 4-5 hours. You cannot hike without a guide. There are many tours offering in Facebook.. It cost about 1000-1500.
JP ( — Google review
Mt. Talamitam is the second mountain of the Nasugbu Trilogy. You may either climb first the Mt. Lantik summit for a brief visit, or skip Mt. Lantik and head to Mt. Talamitam. The Lantik campsite is situated between two sister mountains, Mt. Lantik and Mt. Talamitam. The Lantik campsite is a stopover for bonfire, or you may purchase some drinks but a little bit higher than retail prices like P75 Gatorade. Once you start the trail towards Mt. Talamitam, expect some higher slopes and walk in a leaf-covered trail with lots of trees. You may still view the Mt. Lantik from the trail. Upon reaching the Mt. Talamitam summit, you can see the majestic view of the Highlands of Batangas 360 degrees. The pinoymountaineer.com wrote an article that says, "The summit of Mt. Talamitam is not the highest peak, but the area where the trail ends." Where is the end trail? The soil that is man-made carves where we step/walk on stops at the peak. The rocks facing the ravine are the pasture land, where hikers after the Mt. Apayang summit visit, will walk the other side of the trail, going down to the pasture land. You can see cows in the pasture land. The fenced area of the pasture land as seen from the Mt. Talamitam summit has private ownership beyond Mt. Talamitam's territorial jurisdiction of the registry. You may take a moment to rest in the wooden 5 stop by before the caged statue of the Virgin Mary, patron de Guia. The Boulder near the ravine was used to take Instagram photos, but beware of this chasm. A small misstep can plummet you down.

Good for beginners. Recommended for those who want to enjoy the view of Cavite and Batangas landscape. It's an open field trek, bring at least 2L of water, snacks, sunscreen, and arm sleeves. The jump-off is also very accessible. Just ride a bus going to Nasugbu and drop-off at Brgy. Aga then hire your own guide. You can do this as a day hike or camp overnight to enjoy the view, it's a great escape from the challenges of the city.
Jo F — Google review
Good for quick hikes and camping. If you want more challenge, you can try accomplishing the trilogy (mt apayang, talamitam, lantik). I recommend you wear pants if you’re going to mt apayang, trail is not maintained. Theres also a lot of flies and rotten mangoes on one of the paths going down during summer time
Josh M — Google review
Good place for camping, easy trail, beautiful sunrise.
Siegfred O — Google review
Been here twice, like what everyone is saying it is good for beginners. Its better to hike it early during summer time since you have no cover once you're on the grasslands. We hiked it 2 weeks ago, it was raining and it was great. You can reach the campsite max of 2hrs.

Restaurant
Nestled along the bustling Nasugbu highway, Bayani’s Lomi House & Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that showcases the beloved Batangas dish, Lomi. This establishment offers a more upscale dining experience compared to typical roadside eateries and has become a well-known franchise in the region since its inception in 1968. The restaurant serves generous portions of local favorites, with their special lomi standing out for its rich flavor and satisfying texture.
We ordered their leche flan, halo-halo, and special lomi. We were shocked in how fully loaded their bowl is, and the soup is sticky and flavourful. Their halo-halo is also superb with overflowing ingredients. A must try resto.

August 2025 Batangeno food chain restaurant along busy Nasugbu highway 🛣 A little bit more upscale restaurant compared to the other roadside shack style establishments, this place is well franchised and can be seen in other locations within the province. The food will well made with a number of local dishes that are characteristic of the region. Servings are ample. Lomi is less dense than cheaper versions. Expect as well high doses of msg in the food. Service is spotty and sometimes unresponsive and inattentive. Place is spacious and elevated from the roadside. A small 3 car parking lot sit next door. Ideal for quick bites on you road trip or for large groups
Oliver P — Google review
It's along the highway so it's very accessible and easy to find. The place is al fresco, clean and accommodating staff. Food was good and price was reasonable.
Angeli B — Google review
Good location and place is nice. Open air concept and there isn’t air conditioning. Visited during the rainy season so heat wasn’t a problem. Ordered pancit canton and it was good. The lomi while looks good on the presentation have a very thick sauce (to much cornstarch i think) and using spoon to get the noodles & soup is very difficult. Hence not my type of lomi since i prefer “humigop ng mainit na sabaw” on a rainy morning/afternoon, and there is no way you can do that with this lomi. Prices are ok for a restaurant.
Jojo G — Google review
It is one of the best Batangas Lomi I ever had! Super cheap too! This OMG Lomi that we ordered is more than enough to feed 10 persons.
Zeus C — Google review
Food-is reasonably priced. The food tastes bland for me; we ordered pancit/lomi/goto. these took about 20 mins to come (we were only 2 tables dining) that was fine. We also ordered halo halo along with the food, and that took another 20 minutes and 3 follow ups, which was quite frustrating since we were in a hurry. The halo halo tasted AMAZING tho, that was the only thing all four of us liked.

LOCATION: Branch is along the highway, easy to find. FOOD: Took sometime to serve (ordered lomi and french fries). Was expecting freshly cooked since it took 20mins. But both were only served warm. Taste is good, though.

The food here is really good and priced very reasonably. We actually ate here twice because we enjoyed it so much. The place isn’t air-conditioned, just fans, so it can get a bit warm. But the service is good and overall, it’s a great spot for a tasty and affordable meal.

Mountains
Mount Batulao Peak is a verdant and rugged mountain peak with an altitude of 693 meters above sea level. It offers breathtaking panoramas of the region including the Taal Lake and Volcano, Pico de Loro Mountain Range, Mount Maculot, and other surrounding areas. The mountain has 12 peaks mostly comprising rocky cliffs that provide an easy hiking experience for beginners.
One of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Philippines, beginner friendly, easy to go up to summit. Just need to be careful your shoes are proper hiking shoes. Highly recommend those who loves hiking but don’t have much experiences people. Jump off point is very easy to find. After you get off the bus in Tagaytay highway , ride a tricycle, they’ll bring to the village where the mt Batulao trails start point , there are plenty tour guide , Very easy to find a tour guide in the jump off village. There are few shops during the way to summit , so no need bring much water. Before you start the trails , better ask your tour guide how much water to bring. Maybe some of shops not open on the day due to some reason.

Pretty sick, will be asked for a registration fee think it’s a scam up to you if you want to pay, only 120 pasos but definitely really good If it’s the dry season will get dirty and bring lots of water

Mountain is closed till 31st May earliest and the man stationed there told me they will require permits to hike this trail in the future. I left the summit too early - wait till 6-6:30am for the fog to dissipate and you might get an overview of the Taal Lake. Views wise, I was blessed with a colourful sunrise, rolling fog and breathtaking views of the ridges and peaks; as well as plenty of wildlife. I will suggest taking the new trail down to see the views of the ridges after sunrise. Going up the new trail in the dark may be more difficult; if you wish to do so, get a headlamp so you have both hands for scrambling/using the ropes. Also, there was a lovely (and persistent) cat waiting at the peak (and begging for food) :). Definitely not for first time hikers. Lots of up and downhills, loose dirt, and steep slopes, exposed ridges and near-vertical climbs with steps cut into the rock. Some sections have ropes to assist you when it’s too steep. Get a guide if you are inexperienced, risk of falling off the mountain is very real.

Mountain peak
Nestled in Nasugbu, Batangas, Mount Talamitam offers a relatively easier climb compared to its neighboring peak, Mt. Batulao. However, the ascent can be challenging during summer due to limited shade from trees. The hike to the summit takes around one and a half to two and a half hours, with steep sections especially on the shorter route.
Of all the three mountains in this trilogy, talamitam definitely stand out of beautiful view and intagramable ,in a good weather you can the beauty of Batangas mountains
