Klaipeda in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Klaipeda, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Klaipėda is Lithuania’s main seaport, blending a compact historic old town of German-style fachwerk buildings with a busy modern harbor on the Baltic Sea. Visitors come for its easy access to the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO-listed sand dune peninsula with beaches, pine forests, and cycling paths. The city offers maritime museums, a restored castle site, and a growing scene of cafes and bars along the Dane River. Its walkable center and frequent ferries make it a practical base for exploring Lithuania’s short but scenic coastline.
With favorites like Radisson Blu Hotel, Klaipeda, XII, and Ännchen of Tharau, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like CASA DELLA PASTA - PC Akropolis and Baltos lėkštės so you can get the best taste of Klaipeda while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Akropolis Klaipėda is the largest shopping center in Western Lithuania, covering 75,000 square meters. Located near the intersection of Taikos Avenue and Kauno Street, it offers a wide range of stores for clothing, cosmetics, tech products, and more. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various recreational activities such as laser tag, ice skating, and bowling. The mall also features multiple restaurants and a cinema for an enjoyable evening out.
Biggest mall in the Baltics. Good crowd. Enjoyed watching ice hockey. Stream lined parking. Has a great bowling arena. With maximum foot falls, fantastic eateries and state of art.

Amateur Night! Complete shambles! My tickets were uploaded to Apple Wallet like all my tickets, boarding cards etc. Oh we can’t scan that we need a pdf! What’s the point of sending uploadable tickets if you can’t scan them!! I had to search for email with tickets from September and finally entered only to be told I needed to queue and change my tickets as concert sales were vey low!!! I especially picked end of aisle tickets at the back but, of course, they didn’t have comparable seats so we ended up in middle of row. “You’re sitting next to each other” staff said as if they were doing me a big favour 🤷‍♂️ This is unprofessional and unacceptable from a so-called major venue. Wild horses couldn’t drag me back to this place!!!
Ray D — Google review
Good arena, fits lots of people, not hard to find seats. One of the best arenas is Lithuania, bars for drinks or snacks are nearby, so there is no rush to run after timeouts.

New Ferry Terminal, Klaipėda

Ferry service
The New Ferry Terminal in Klaipėda is a modern and vibrant hub that offers a seamless travel experience. Its sleek design, reminiscent of an intergalactic spacecraft meeting a contemporary art installation, sets the stage for an exciting maritime adventure. Passengers can enjoy panoramic views while waiting to embark on their ferry journey. The terminal provides efficient services with quick boarding and smooth crossings, allowing travelers to easily access the nearby national park.
The passenger ferry is next to the cruise. In summer, the ferry leaves every 30 minutes and tickets can be bought at the ticket office or at self-service terminals. Ticket price (passenger + bike) is 1.70 Euros round trip. There are no queues even at weekends and not many people compared to the old ferry. The ferry leaves on time and takes about 5 minutes to get to the spit. It is very convenient to go by bicycle if you want to get to Juodkrante
Yulia T — Google review
Everywhere you have to pay Ferry for one car 23 euros. Thank you that is the round trip price. As soon as you drive away from the ferry, it turns out that further on the Curonian Spit there is a toll road - 30 euros per car. Maybe it's worth it? NO. Do you want to see the dunes? Pay another 5 euros or walk through the forest. I don’t mind 5 euros, but this is a natural attraction and we already paid a LOT. There is little parking along the road. In the center of Nida, parking is 2 euros per hour. I finally got to see the dunes at the end, almost at the border with Russia. But there were so few parking spaces that we had to take turns getting out of the car so that someone always remained in the car. I will add that we were on the Curonian Split from the Russian side. There they don’t charge you for a natural attraction and it’s easy to get to the dunes. On the Lithuanian side - disappointment.
Bekky M — Google review
Time: 10 minutes Price: 23€ for the car ferry, round trip. If you come early there is almost no car and 0 waiting time. We left the sand band at noon and the ferry car line was full so expect some delays. I recommend to stay overnight if you can on the sand band if you want to maximize the value of your ferry. The ferry is small but there are 2 of them working all the time, so it goes fast.
Mathieu L — Google review
Passenger ferry next to cruise port. Costs about 1.7€ per person and runs every 30 minutes. There is a coffee shop with free wifi to wait inside if the weather isn't good.
B K — Google review
Easy and swift ferry crossing. Buy online and show a QR code or buy at the gate. Price includes return as well. Ferries seem to go to and fro constantly so no need to try and catch a specific one per schedule.
Tommi S — Google review
The new ferry terminal in Klaipeda works like a Swiss watch. At the entrance gate, I showed the QR code of the electronic ticket, which I bought easily in a couple of minutes on the official website. Without delay, I entered the ferry, as the terminal staff clearly showed me where to go, and in five minutes we were already moving to the opposite bank.
Pavel B — Google review
We stayed 1 hour queuing. Rather overpriced but Unfortunately the only way to reach the Curland gap. Plan carefully during summertime and allow ample time.
Tony B — Google review
Too bad why the Lithuanian government doesn't work an underwater tunnel or bridge you have to wait for a long time more than an hour This is the second time I visit this place and unfortunately it is worse than before. You have to wait a long time to take the ferry

Friedricho pasasžas is a great restaurant with wonderful food and great atmosphere. They serve European, Eastern European, Central European cuisine, and they are Vegetarian Friendly as well. The staff is very friendly and the music is good too.
We enjoyed dinner, it was very tasty. When we arrived, it seemed to us that the waiter somehow didn't like us. Anyway, first we ordered a drink, and then he asked us where we were from and we taught each other a few words. In fact, the waiter was very nice and friendly in his own way, we ended up having a little more fun. We went to the hotel full and in good spirits. Now we hope to get a good night's sleep :)

Visited in Sep 2025 Stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch and a couple of beers during my trip to Klaipeda. This place is located in a beautiful alley which has a few restaurants. The area has a very nice and chilled vibe to have a relaxed meal. For food I had the potato pancakes with herring and it was a light but filling meal. The Svytury lager seemed to be the most popular beer being ordered here, and hence tried that (it was a good choice). Overall, a really nice place to stop by for lunch.

IQ Baras is a cozy burger restaurant with a great outdoor terrace that offers reasonable prices, quick service and a small menu. The burgers are fire-grilled and are incredibly delicious, with the beef cooked to medium according to the menu. More than 2 types of Lithuanian and foreign beers are available on tap, making IQ Baras one of the best bars in town when it comes to beer selection.
Many many kudos and thank yous for being geniuses by having the option to make each burger vegetarian by simply switching the meat to a soy one, instead of having like one vegetarian option 😀 Eternally grateful for letting us who don't eat meat to experience each recipe in the menu, that's why I'll have to come back for sure ✨️ And the ones who eat meat enjoyed it too, thank you and good luck with your business!

The burgers were very juicy and delicious. Prices are reasonable, a little high. Though, the service was questionable, we had to wait very long even though there were very few people at the restaurant, we had to take our menus by ourselves, other customers did the same.

Great range of burgers. Super tasty. Lovely, friendly service from a young waitress who spoke excellent English. Loved the red wine and very affordable at 5 Euro a glass! Sat inside as it was cold and wet - really nice setting. Very reasonable prices. Appreciated the birthday cake 🎂. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice burger in Klaipeda.

Burger place in the old town of Klaipėda! The location itself is situated in a cozy basement of a building and has a beautiful glass terrace outdoors. Casa Della Pasta is a popular Italian restaurant located in Akropolis. The restaurant offers a variety of Italian dishes, including delicious pasta and pizza. Customers have praised the flavorful pastas and tasty desserts. The staff is known for being polite, friendly, and providing excellent service. While some find the layout of the in-mall restaurant to be mediocre, others appreciate its warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Great Italian Food Spot in Akropolis! We didn’t have high expectations when coming here, but this place was a pleasant surprise! The pasta was very tasty, and the pizza was great too. The restaurant is located a bit off the main alleys, so it’s much quieter and more relaxing. We will definitely be coming back! 🍝🍕🇮🇹✨

Italian cuisine is all about high-quality ingredients, simple preparation and perfectly balanced flavors. The dishes we had the chance to try—Paccheri Guanciale e Gorgonzola and Gnocchi di Patate Ragu' di Manzo—embodied these principles beautifully. Both dishes were excellent, showcasing authentic Italian flavors and careful preparation. The portions were generous, the presentation was elegant and the flavors were well-balanced. While there’s always room for minor refinements, this was undoubtedly a high-quality dining experience

Worst dining experience in Lithuania so far. The food was ok, but the service was horrible. They asked people to pay before 21.30 while opening hours communicated on the website were till 22.00, even people who were stille eating were asked to leave.

I visited the place a while ago and was expecting a pleasant visit like I always do at other Casa Della Pasta locations. But here my pizza was burnt and the ingredients were undercooked, I wrote to customer support but they haven't responded to me in a month. Still waiting for a response

We had the Siciliana, chicken ravioli and side salad. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful! The service staff were friendly but not so attentive. We had to ask them a couple of times to take our order and they made a mistake in our drinks order.

Enjoyed food alot. The pizza and pasta were both very tasty. Thumbs up to chef! Fast service. The waitresses were nice too. The dishes and cutlery were also very neat and clean. Will come back again 🙏
Baneen F — Google review
We came here after seeing so many good reviews but left very disappointed. Service was slow and inattentive from the start, and staff seemed disorganized and unprofessional. When we asked for cutlery at the bar (after failing to get anyone’s attention), the bartender was shockingly rude – instead of helping, she spoke to us in a hostile way and even scolded us for coming up to the bar. The food didn’t make up for it either: the pasta was dry and bland, and the pizza far too heavy with cheese. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Baltos lėkštės is a pizzeria situated in the historic Old Town of Klaipeda. The restaurant prides itself on its ambition to prove that great pizzas can be made by more than just Italians. Visitors have raved about the fantastic food, with particular praise for dishes like pasta with smoked salmon and cream sauce. While some guests found the atmosphere cozy and enjoyed the music, there were mentions of longer wait times for food without prior notice.
The super sandwich is awesomeness and tiramisu is mind blowing. Very cozy and nice enviroment.

Highly disappointed in this place :( Came especially for pizzas, but they were nothing special 7/10 would say max. What was worst is the waiting - were sitting there for over an hour to get the pizzas! :( Please hire one more waiter! The one trying to get a hold of a place had a really hard time, so the only bright side of our visit was watching the pizza chef's helping the waiter out so the food wouldn't get cold waiting to be served..Admire his speed and efforts. Best of luck.
Rita S — Google review
We found our waitress to be quite rude, from the very start. The food took long, even though the place was empty. Eggs Benedict was ok, but we were served ravioli that was not properly cooked (the pasta was still dry). The waiter took that plate away and said that they used durum wheat flour, which just tastes different, but I doubt that was the reason (I lived in Italy for over a year and know what durum wheat tastes like). Not a single apology was given by the waiter.
Ignotas T — Google review
The food was absolutely fantastic! I had pasta with smoked salmon and cream sauce. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and atmosphere there. The only reason for 4 stars is that we had to wait for 40 minutes for our food and we were not informed about the extra waiting time.

Nice environment and selection of food (especially pizzas). They also have vegan option for those interested. The place is definitely nicely renovated and the four cheese pizza was very nice. My only problem with a place is that for Klaipeda and pizza place it is a bit expensive. I have paid 10 euros for my pizza which comes close to London prices for comparable offering. If that is not a problem for you, it is definitely good place to go.
Egle — Google review
On the day I was visiting, they only had one vegan option out of three listed on their menu, which was pizza (the other two would have been - Vegan burger and homemade dumplings). Although I was a bit disappointed that there was no choice, the pizza turned out to be really good with lots of veggies and vegan cheese. Overall, a good experience.

We were very lucky that Stora Antis had a free table on Saturday evening! What a treat it was! To begin with food, which was amazing, we had duck and pork filet, good wine, delicious Ukrainians desert! Compliments to the chef! The interior is bit quirky, the interior is very good quality, even if you can see, that it was made some time ago. The toilet had some specials effects, won’t spoil for the future visitors, but it has something from Titanic! The biggest compliments however goes to Vytas, amazing Ukrainian owner! He told us all amazing stories of his life and played old Dutch musics! It was a honor to share a small after dinner drink with him! Such a amazing person! We had so many laughs! I never forget this experience! Сла́ва Украї́ні!

Four of us who were touring had a wonderful evening at this delightful, cosy restaurant. In fact, it was my favourite restaurant for the whole trip. The food was brilliant and so was the beer. The manager and server were very friendly and courteous, and they contributed heavily to making the evening special. VERY highly recommended! (We had meals only but I gave 5 stars to everything because it seems each category has to be rated in these reviews.)
David G — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I found the owner to be unprofessional and disrespectful, particularly toward Russian-speaking individuals. Based on my interaction, I would not recommend visiting or doing business here. In my opinion, such behavior is not acceptable from anyone operating a business. Respond to your last note As a business owner, the least you can do is offer a polite apology when a customer expresses a valid concern. Instead, you chose to argue, deflect blame, and refuse to take accountability—not just with me, but with others who’ve experienced similar treatment at your establishment. Rather than addressing what actually happened, you seem more concerned about defending your ego and political views than running a professional, welcoming business. If you truly feel more aligned with another country, perhaps that’s where you should open your business instead of operating in Lithuania while dismissing local customers’ experiences and concerns. It’s disappointing to see a business ignore feedback and choose pride over humility. A good owner listens, learns, and makes it right—not attacks the people keeping their doors open. Shame on how this was handled. I sincerely hope others are more aware before spending their hard-earned money here. 5/30/2025 Thank you for your message. I would like to clarify a few important points—openly and with full respect. First, I speak multiple languages—more than four—and I do not judge anyone based on their nationality, language, or where they come from. I treat all people equally, because at our core, we are all human beings with the same right to dignity. Second, I have never contacted your restaurant and spoken in Russian, nor have I attempted to impose any language on your business. That claim is untrue and misrepresents who I am and how I interact. I did not “leave Lithuania for good.” I moved to the U.S. to align with my professional goals, but Klaipeda remains close to my heart. I return often because I value my roots—not to create problems, but to stay connected to my origins. It is vital, especially in business, to distinguish between political views and customer service. Choosing not to speak a certain language due to past experiences may be personal, but projecting those views onto current customers can isolate people unfairly. Speaking Russian, for many, is not a political gesture—it is simply the language they were raised with, especially in post-Soviet spaces. Lastly, I want to be clear: I do not seek to harm or “bankrupt” anyone’s business. I support mutual success and respectful coexistence. I have visited your restaurant and wished you well. May your business continue to thrive—and may we all grow toward more understanding, not division. 6-2-2025 Formal Notice – Cease and Desist I have filed a formal complaint with the EU Discrimination Commission regarding your most recent review, which I believe crossed a legal and ethical line. Please be advised that I am proceeding further with my complaint, and I request that you cease and desist all further communication with me effective immediately. I strongly recommend that you retain legal counsel moving forward.

No wheelchairs are welcome. But it’s not the main problem. A site looked pretty good, except for the evil old man at the entrance. No one started talking to him in Russian, but hearing an apparently Eastern European accent, he suddenly started hysterics, saying that he didn't speak Russian and didn't let him in in the best traditions of the guards of Czechoslovakia in the 80s. Although no one asked him to speak Russian, Polish, Ukrainian or Czech. Madness. Such people do much more good for evil than propagandists. And in Lithuania, the majority are not like him, but normal. And the EU and government's policy is not aimed at discriminating against people with an Eastern European accent - in no circumstances. Living Lietuvoje few years it was first time with this experience :( All languages, accents and places of birthdays have been always welcome Lietuvoje, exclude one certain place with a guard. Let's hope that in a few years he will go to another world in, and the beautiful independent and hospitable Lithuania will be left without him. But the review will remain. We had a great evening with very good food! The owner is very attentive and caring for his clients. We had an exceptional treatment, my partner mentioned we couldn’t manage to order varenyky (with cherries) and he immediately went to the kitchen to organize it. Just amazing! It brought me so nice and warm feelings from my childhood. And varenyky were veryyyy delicious! Also a very important fact: there are menus in lots of languages and staff speaks English.

Subway is a casual fast-food chain that offers customizable sandwiches and salads. They provide health-conscious options for customers who are conscious about their diet. The staff members at Subway are known for their efficiency and friendliness, even during busy times. Many people believe that sandwiches made by someone else always taste better, especially when the person making it is nice and cool.
We are visiting Subway often and stopped by yesterday and girl currently working there is simply AMAZING. She is so efficient and friendly even during the crazy busy times. We all know that sandwich made by another person is always better 😀 however when the person is nice and cool, makes that sandwich even more delicious! 5 stars to this girl (sorry, we still don't know her name).

Tastes more similar to Subway in USA, than other US chain fast food. They don't serve chips at all ... but the sandwich breads and fillings are great!

The first time they opened in that week,we went there to order something tasty, but The employees informed us that they only have Teriyaki flavor,we were disappointed and just got whatever Teriyaki sandwich they have.It was not tasty at all.Very different from Subway Illinois,USA.Maybe that's the reason why there's only a lot of flies going there and no customers now.

As a gluten-intolerant person, I always avoid sandwich places for obvious reasons. However, I heard that subway started delivering Gluten-Free bread, so decided to give it a try. The girl at the cashier looked quite lost when was asked about GF bread and said they never had it :))) Though the poster on the wall says they do. She said they have only 3 types of bread at all (out of 8 mentioned in the menu). Then I asked for salad, as it was the only option left for me, and apparently they were out of takeway boxes, too. Then she offered me a quesadilla (wonderful option for a gluten intolerant person lol) so I just left with an empty stomach. Funny experience it was, yet wouldn’t recommend for sure.

Do not go here! The food all seemed very old from the day before or even older, was expensive and definitely not worth it. To top it all off the girl working behind the counter was miserable and an absolute displeasure as she took our order. Try this place for yourself if you want but I definitely do not recommend it.

One of the worst food you can eat !! ..i never seen Subway branch like that in all countries i have visited .. but this was soooo baaaad quality for food is awful and bread is not fresh like from 3 days before really very bad experience !! Even in summer 32 degree and they didn’t open The AC

I was eat in subway sunday night ( 9 june). And it was so bad experience to eat there this time. I got my food with so many jelepenos. Its like 15 to 20 piece in one bread. Even this girl not ask me how much i need. And next day i have very bad pain in stomach and need to see doctor now. And second thing teach your staff how to talk with client. This girl dont know how to talk and very rude 😡😡

Usually a pretty good place to eat when they have ingredients prepared, but more often than not they dont have half the ingredients and I have to settle for a subpar sandwich.

Day 2

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Lithuanian Sea Museum, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Klaipėda Concert Hall. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Specialty Museums
Located at the northernmost tip of the Curonian Spit in Klaipeda County, Lithuania, the Lithuanian Sea Museum offers a modest yet captivating maritime experience. Visitors can explore historical exhibits and aquariums showcasing a variety of marine life, including brightly-colored fish and intriguing crustaceans. The museum's dolphinarium presents entertaining shows featuring Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, Baltic seals, and Steller sea lions.
There's a lot of cool stuff to check out at this museum. The interactive exhibits are really fun, and they're great for kids and adults alike. Don't expect to see a ton of animals, though—it's not a zoo. But the aquariums are really nice, especially the tunnel with all the big sturgeons. You can start at the museum, then leave to see the dolphin show, and come back after. Just let them know at the gates and they'll give you a stamp on your hand.
Laimonas G — Google review
I have to admit, given the hype, I was somewhat disappointed by the sea life expositions. I am no expert, so my impression might be wrong, but the seals, penguins and pelicans outside did not seem like having a good time and the spaces they have seemed rather dull. :/ The interior of the main building is quite pretty, the coral, shells and crustaceans exposition is very cool but I expected more live fishes in the later part. Some of the fish expositions were static figurines, a big part of the aquaria was river life which is still cool and I don't mind but it is a sea museum after all, the grand finale was the tunnel which even for me as an adult that's never seen one before was just alright but quite short and only filled with sturgeons. However, I didn't use it but I appreciate the amount of interactive stuff for children, I would have a blast if I was twenty years younger. The exterior spaces of the former fortress are also interesting to walk around. :) On the other hand, I enjoyed the naval expositions very much. Those I think are more targeted towards adults and children might get a bit bored, even though there still are some interactive features. These naval expositions are full of interesting items and information and I can sincerely recommend that part. There's also a small exhibition about noise pollution in the sea and Lithuanian military sea divers. Overall, I am bit conflicted. I will probably not visit again unless I have children of a suitable age with me but I also don't necessarily want to discourage anyone. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Outside of the museum, there are also ships that are visitable for free, the biggest one houses a small exposition. Those I would recommend either way.

One word: Awesome! A must-visit while you're in Klaipėda. Take a short ferry ride from the Old Ferry Terminal to Smiltynė — the museum is just a 15-minute walk from there. The Marine Museum and Aquarium are both fantastic, and with separate tickets, you can also enjoy the impressive Dolphin Show. A great half-day trip that’s fun, educational, and memorable. Highly recommended!
Subhra K — Google review
Worth to visit. The dolphins and sea lion show was amazing. And I loved the message about sea pollution and how we can help to reduce it. Will definitely coming back! 💙💙

The Lithuanian Sea Museum is absolutely amazing! The exhibits are beautifully presented, from marine life and aquariums to historical displays about ships and sea exploration. The dolphin and sea lion shows are a real highlight - fun, well-organized, and educational. The museum is clean, family-friendly, and easy to explore, with plenty of information in multiple languages. The location by the sea is stunning, and the ferry ride adds to the adventure. A must-visit for families, nature lovers, and anyone visiting Klaipeda!
Jana B — Google review
Interesting museum with lots of different sea stuff, mostly not alive or real but that's the point of a museum. There's also many real different fish in aquariums, very interesting! Penguins are the most cutest guys here, especially when you see them swimming underwater behind glass. We visited it on a sunny day, sky was beautifully blue and the atmosphere overall was super good!

Aquarium
The Dolphinarium of the Lithuanian Maritime Museum is a delightful destination for families and nature enthusiasts alike. Visitors can enjoy captivating shows featuring dolphins, seals, and sea lions that leave lasting impressions. The experience is enhanced by an aquarium showcasing stunning marine life, including penguins and vibrant creatures from the Great Barrier Reef. After soaking in the wonders of the ocean, guests can relax at a cozy café or explore nearby parks like Seaside Regional Park for hiking and birdwatching.
We really enjoyed it. The show was incredible! And very informative. The gorgeous large fish at the 0 floor were spectacular. And local Lithuanian fish was a nice touch i dont think i have seen any so close up in my life. Was one of the highlights of our trip to Nida. We did it on the way back home because of the entryfee for Neringa. Its definitely worth the time and money. Its very nicely renewed. I really liked the gifth shop! Very cool and modern souvenirs. We bought quite a few. Definitely a place to visit 😌

I kinda expected to see more sea animals. I mean don’t get me wrong there are a lot of information on various marine species. It’s just… it looked a bit depressing that’s all. It’s pretty not bad and maybe good for kids to learn about marine life
Thet H — Google review
getting there by small ferry costs 3 euros each way. the cafe's food offer is poor. it's better to eat in Klaipeda. the museum is very good, you can visit it also after the dolphin show getting a stamp at the museum entrance

Wow!!!! Awesome!!! Must visit while you are in Klaipeda. 30 minutes show and it's worth it. Take a ferry (old ferry) to Smiltiney and it's around 1.2 km; can be reached by walk in 15-20 minutes. But tickets, students discount also available. And enjoy the show!!!
Subhra K — Google review
Dolphin show was amazing and we all loved it. I advise to book the tickets in advance as they might be gone if visiting in summer. The actual sea museum annoyed us. We had a baby in a pram, and the lifts are positioned in the way that meant we always had to go against the flow of the crowd and then turn around and come back to the same elevator to go to another level. Only to face the same issue again. We ended up seeing the exposition twice, and itwouldn't have been the worst thing on a slow day, but it was crazy busy. It was not easy to understand how the flow worked either due to lack of signage. The last stop of the tour was a shop but there was no lift to get there and we had to take the stairs, to only later realise that there was an enty point from the outside also. Once outside, we were looking around, and the toddler got told off for stepping on a grass in the middle of the courtyard, yet we could not see a sign prohibiting stepping on. I mean, all in all, great half a day. Kids loved to see the dolphins and mini exposition of ships and old houses on the way there ( leave yourself a good 30-40 minutes to do it). However, the disregard to pram and disabled access location was obvious. The main courtyard as well as other exposition were paved in cobbles making access difficult. I would come and see the dolphin show again, not too sure about the museum because of the access issues 😕
Simona T — Google review
Very bad place. It's fun to watch dolphins swim through the glass. But the dolphin program is just awful, it's hard to stay all time. The kids are screaming because that awful video all over the wall is a stupid "museum" advertisement with a completely tragic visual. The kids aren't looking at the dolphins, but at a big tasteless, bright screen with subtitles in English and russian. You're using the enemy's language, maybe you should think about it? Why does a bad, unprofessional video drown out the dolphins, why does such noise come from that screen, why is it so bright, after all, children came to see the dolphins, not your ads. Aren't there young talented people who would create a normal, calm, quiet video like in Scandinavia. It's awful. It's completely soviet-era.

Restaurant
Senoji Hansa is a charming old bar with a reputation for excellent cuisine and top-notch service. The establishment features two intimate dining halls that can accommodate up to 70 patrons, as well as a terrace offering views of the historic Theatre Square during the warmer months. While some may overlook it for its traditional Lithuanian food vibe, the menu offers a wide variety of options, including breakfast choices and an array of meat dishes for dinner.
The food was exquisite, even the dessert was remarkable (I ordered the apple pie). The servers were very nice and accommodating and the music playing in the background really well chosen.

I can only recommend this place. Very good steak and Stroganoff! The waiter let us in despite we came late. A 100% professional service and very polite. Even our dog got a small aperitif and something to drink.
Johnny J — Google review
Good restaurant with big portions. Went here for an early dinner, and I had both the fish soup and pasta with chicken. The first impression was that the portions were really big, and I got quite the bowl of soup to start with. Both tasted good, but the pasta was considerably more mediocre than the soup since it had pretty basic flavor. Also tried the Tommy Margarita, and it was all right. But next time, I would try something else instead. Service was friendly and attentive, and I did not have to wait any longer durations. One of the bigger negative things that I have to add is that the prices online on the menu don't correspond to the ones actually used in the restaurant. And in the wrong way since they are higher than indicated online. So that's a big disappointment when you actually arrive and see the changes. Since it should be an easy fix so that guests don't feel fooled.

Exceeded all expectations many times over. Great atmosphere, delicious food. I recommend trying the beef burger. The only thing is, take one serving for two people, even in the children's menu the amount of food per serving is huge.

We stumbled upon this place because it’s off the square. My hubby and our friends wanted to try the Cepelinai (potato-meat dumpling). I got the appetizer- pork small dumplings and fish soup. The steak that our friend ordered looked good. The cepelinai was filling. The stroganoff that the hubby got was very large in portion size. Kristina, our waitress, was really nice. This place gets a tad busy though, but overall. Nice spot!

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Klaipeda is a relaxed and clean hotel offering various amenities such as an exercise room, lobby bar, steam room, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel's restaurant serves a very good breakfast and offers tasty meals for dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the stay enjoyable. Its excellent location allows easy access to many places of interest within walking distance. Additionally, the hotel provides a small private parking lot for guests with cars.
I can't say enough good things about the staff at this hotel. They are attentive to the needs of guests, accommodating, and very friendly. This makes the entire guest experience much more pleasant. The facilities are okay. Radisson probably needs to invest in a renovation of the property at some point soon. Again, the staff picks up the slack here and does the best that can be done with what they have. The rooms are spotlessly clean, linen is changed out regularly, and all of the fixtures were in working order. Overall a great choice if you are staying in Klaipeda.

We stayed in the hotel back in October and had an amazing welcome. Having travelled with kids, arrived late we had rooms ready with food which was exceptionally nice touch. Breakfast had great choice and Olga was very accommodating and pleasant helping out with food for kiddies. We have returned there again for Dinner this year and there was amazing choice of dishes. Our big group all ordered separate menu and I have to say, hands down best food from all holiday. Beats Palanga Spa or any gourmet kitchen anytime! Ruta was really nice and patient with many different requests, food arrived quick, presentation and taste was exceptional.

This is a nice, clean hotel with a very good breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful when you need them. The elevator is small but quick. The bar and restaurant are also good if you are not feeling adventurous enough to walk for meals. The location of the hotel is excellent and you can walk to many places. There is a small, private parking lot next to the building if you have a car. If I like everything so much, why only 4 stars? Two reasons: The air in the room is not easily controlled. The box seems simple enough, yes, but I still ended up having to open the window to be comfortable. Several times I woke up wet with sweat because of this. I was not the only person in my traveling group to have this problem in his room. At least there are windows to open! Second reason: The toilet did not always flush everything down. I feel I am wasting water by flushing twice and Radisson Blu is supposed to be friendly to the Earth. So yes, this is a good hotel, but with some blemishes.

It was a peasant stay in this hotel and especially the Manager Ms. Monika Pekauskaite was very helpful in any business questions, so that we can highly recommend this hotel for any business traveler like us. The rooms are clean and with a very good standard and the personal starting from the check in to the restaurant are very friendly. We look forward to stay there again by our next travel to Klaipeda.

I was surprized that hotel can't hire smart people. We came to a restaurant for dinner and young 'but not so smart' restaurant worker said that he will not serve us because we have no mask. We looked around there were all people without masks, we asked why?: he said they have are eating so they are allowed to be without mask. So we went to other place and we were surprized how young waitress came to us not wanting to say that you must leave, but she brought us a glass of water and said drink it slowly until we bring the food. I think hotel has to choose right and smart personel. Dont you think so?

VIVALAVITA restoranas is a unique dining spot located in the Amberton Hotels high-rise building in Kaunas. The restaurant offers stunning panoramic views and a sophisticated yet casual ambiance adorned with large black and white stills from the classic Italian movie La Dolce Vita. The menu features a blend of classic and contemporary dishes, with an emphasis on seafood options, including the opportunity to try unconventional choices like crocodile steak.
One of the places that are worth visiting if you want to see the entire city like on a palm of a hand. Really great observation point that shows the beauty of Klaipeda - how green and colorful the city really is in summer. We stayed for about 30 minutes during Monday afternoon in mid May and there was not a sole there. We ordered the cheesecake which was delicious! Pistachio ice cream was ok. These are the only desserts and both were 7€. Late was excellent in my opinion. Most coffees are about 4€. There was a swing by the elevator which was the main attraction for our 4 and 6 year olds… Felt quite safe for them to be at open spaces. The walls are quite high. Toilet with the best view too of course 😆

We went for a birthday family dinner and we were all very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, it was one of the best we tried in Klaipėda, the portions are very generous and the prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and size. However the best thing was the staff, they were super attentive, friendly and professional, accommodated all of our requests, not something you see in every restaurant in Lithuania. My only suggestion for the owners is to invest more in marketing as it is not in the area that is passed by often, and people from our group who live 5 minute walk away did not even know this restaurant existed.

Spectacular! The service was outstanding, interior nicely thought of and the food 10/10, totally recommend this restaurant
Aistė C — Google review
Nice to look at, but unfortunately the quality of food was not what I hoped for. The tuna tartar - tasteless with lime green sauce also a no taster. The duck breast poorly cocked. Even the Aperol Spritz was tasteless and dead. Strange, because before moving to new premises there was always good food, service and atmosphere! A empty restaurant might be a signal?

I was waiting for testy food and good service. Unfortunately my expectations were disappointing. Margret de canard was overcooked and presented with souse which doesn’t suit with duck . I have never eat such a bad Cream brûlée in my live. The service was also not good, waiter was not friendly and never remembered who and what were booked. I hope it was just not good day to visit you. Sorry guys
Nina M — Google review
First impression was a closed door from the both sides, we had to wait until someone opens the door for us (customers, not the staff members). Moreover, administrator seems unbothered and didn’t even smile at least once for the whole time. If you working in the service industry, make sure that you are smiling and making guests comfortable. The second waiter was very nice, restored the impression. Starters were average, cheese balls were watery, and tasteless. Chicken strips were okay. Second course was perfect, Duck was juicy and full of taste.

After now 2 years (see my first report below) I was back again in Felsner (now on a new place) and was immediately recognized by Mrs Felsner. The food as well as the service was as good as a few years ago and I still can recommend it again. I am very happy that this excellent restaurant is still in Klaipdea and hope to be there soon again. Excellent food cooked to perfection very friendly and helpfull staff even if some of them did not speak English, they immediately looked for help. The fish (halibutt) as perfect. the only very little minus, the Champagne by glass as well as the white vine by glass was too warm. this will not be if you take a bottle as the bottle will served on ice. Was the best food I had so far during my stay here

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Dino parkas Radailiai. Not quite as popular as Klaipėda Sculpture Park, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Dino parkas Radailiai is a fantastic place for children aged 5 to 10, although younger kids will also enjoy it. The entrance fee covers a whole day of entertainment, including rides and play areas. The park features dinosaur figures that move and make sounds, adding to the fun atmosphere. There are various activities for both kids and adults, as well as places to eat.
Much bigger and better than I thought. A few rides for the kids (and adults) to go on, as many times as you like. Sensor dinosaurs that move and make sounds. Loads of assault like courses for all ages. Lake with peddle boats for the family. Upside down house was fun as well. Good food area for price and quality, serving pizzas etc (if you have not taken your own food and drink), with bouncy play areas next to it, so the kids can play, while you rest and recover.
Mark — Google review
I definitely do not recommend it. Dangerous for children, the park is very outdated. Yesterday my family and I were at the Dino Park in Radailiu. We are very disappointed and shocked. Park is dangerous for children and beyond all safety standards. Many Dinosaurs don't have motion sensors, or they don't work, they are old, mossy and damaged. 30°C yesterday and employee is painting a dinosaur with a respirator. The whole park stank. It was not possible to see some of the dinosaurs because we didn't want to be poisoned by the color. Our children were really looking forward to the track in the trees. Since there is no employee monitoring it, we walked along the ground, but it was not possible. Both us and the children were bitten by loela ants. they are all in the territory of the air route. You can't even run through there without getting bitten. On the boat trip, it's nice that life jackets are provided, but staff doesn't hold the boats so we can get in and out safely. After all that, we hoped to go to the inflatable jumps and water attractions and forget everything, but we were even more shocked. For inflatable attractions with a pool, sliding down the slide is torn, there anyone can break a leg, throw a somersault and fall. The other inflatable attractions are damaged. There is a hole in the long track where children jump down, and you can fall partially under the traction and if the next child comes, he won't even know that there is someone down there. No one supervises the inflatable attractions. The pool where children can go with boats is about 90 cm of water. Parents are not allowed to enter the pool to be next to the child, and life jackets are not provided. For a younger son who is 4 years old, the pool with inflatables is too deep. Let's not even talk about the trampoline. Go around him, there the children can fall to the bottom. I would also recommend washing the children's playground at least at the beginning of the season, so that the view is more attractive, but at least the dirt is not life-threatening.
Inga A — Google review
Nice park, lots to do, great value for money. Dinosaurs, inflatables, swimming area, feeding zoo, a few rides. Good way to spend a day.
Paulius S — Google review
Nice place for kids to play, but to have enough time for everything you have to come from the morning, huge space with different attractions and places to visit, yes could be cleaner outside toilets for kids, and have baby changing rooms, but overall it's super entertaining
Enrika K — Google review
Place for family with kids, plan some 5-7 hour time for visit. Offcourse you can see some wear on entertainment equipment and 5D cinema is old as Dinos, but still nice place to visit.
Alvis B — Google review
A place where you can spend the whole day. With our 4 and 6 yo we were there for 7 hours. Bring bathing suits for the kids! Upside down house is also worth a visit, just add a few euros to the ticket price.
Reene H — Google review
Super fun with less burden on your wallet. Compare to Finland this is very cheap 😆 There are WC, upside down house, rides, play area, etc. Full day can be spent here. Staff are very kind helping nature.
Gaurang H — Google review
Needs major restorations, many of the dinosaurs weren't moving and aren't in the best condition. Overall pretty big park, but 90% of attractions and playgrounds are suitable only for kids under 10 years old. Staff wasn't very responsive either, half of them were bored on their phones. The bumper cars looked cool near the entrance/exit, but we weren't even allowed on them due to some rain. Overall the ticket price does not match the quality of our expected experience, unfortunately.

Nature & Parks
Klaipėda Sculpture Park, situated along the scenic Baltic Sea coastline, is a captivating outdoor gallery featuring over 100 sculptures by local and international artists. This serene environment offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in art amidst lush greenery. The park's unique history, built on the site of a former cemetery from the 1800s, adds an intriguing layer to its artistic charm.
A beautiful place to walk through and experience the peaceful setting of over 100 sculptures. They are fascinating, all in a modernist style and some very beautiful. There are also gravestones dotted around.

I love sculptures, so this was a kind of a paradise for me :-) It is a very nice park near to the city centre, and there are some very interesting pieces you can "interact" with (sit next to them, on them, ...). Very lovely atmosphere!

If you are into sculpture work, this open air park is a must visit. The park is in the city but quite large and contains many pieces. A great place to sit and enjoy nice weather.

Must see! Such a great idea to have these sculptures in a public space, especially a park, where they mix with the trees, leaves, soil. My phone was full of photos after this walk 💓
Toto M — Google review
Today, the Klaipėda Sculpture Park features 116 sculptures of various themes, created by 67 sculptors during sculpture symposiums held in Smiltynė (1977–1991). These sculpture symposiums took place in the summer and were the most significant cultural initiative of that time—not only in the city but throughout the entire country. In 1986, the Klaipėda Sculpture Park was declared a natural monument of local significance. Each sculpture in the park tells its own story and carries a certain meaning, significance, or idea. Sculptures from the 19th–20th centuries can also be found in the park. The headstones from the first half of this period reflect the history of the city of Klaipėda. In the southern part of the park, after Lithuania regained its independence, some people whose relatives had been buried in these former cemeteries began to restore the monuments. People started bringing flowers to the park, and in some places, mounds and lit candles can be seen.

Excellent spot to spend a few quiet hours walking in a green and inspiring environment. Could be a nice spot for a picnic, too. This park offers you more than a hundred spectacular stone sculptures to marvel at. Created decades ago, they’re as relevant and inspiring as they were back in the day. It’s a good place to be at on a truly hot day, too, as almost all sculptures are under giant beautiful trees of many species. If you enjoy art and nature, you can’t get much better than this.

Step into the whimsical wonderland of the Museum of Clocks in Klaipeda, where you'll be mesmerized by a variety of vintage timepieces and exhibits showcasing the history of watchmaking. Housed in a country villa dating back to 1820, this old-world museum offers a detailed look at the ingenuity behind timekeeping throughout the centuries.
If this kind of museum is interesting for you, it's definitely place to see. It was much more than just regular watches. This museum starts measuring the time from the time B C

An exceptionally cozy place that we highly recommend visiting—both for guests of the city and for Klaipėda locals. The museum features many fascinating historical artifacts and cleverly arranged exhibitions, along with extremely helpful staff. We strongly recommend taking a guided tour—you’ll discover truly interesting facts about clocks and much more.

The house has 9 rooms in total and different era/styles in different room telling you a story about evolution of measuring time. Can use tablet for prerecorded guiding. Great collection and friendly staff. It also houses some famous oil paintings from Ukraine for some time. Also dont miss cosy and wide backyard with some intresting stone work!

An amazing museum) What a wonderful trip to a world history of clocks! The museum features exhibits of clock and watches from the past to the present times. Here you can see the device with the help of which people around the world tried to measure the time. You start with the examples of clocks in the Ancient East tradition and head for the next exhibition where strange examples of clocks are shown. Some of these clock and watches look like a real masterpiece! The collection of clocks from European countries are really fantastic! Moreover, there are a nice space to spend time with your children in the inner courtyard. You should take a picture there. The best time for visiting the museum is May because of the magnificent views in the courtyard. Don't overlook this incredible museum!

Fantastic and unique museum that takes you through the history of clocks 🕰️ ⏰ Starting from ancient clocks that utilised the elements like solar (sun for sun dials), water, fire and sand. I was amazed to discover that Egyptians were the first to create the sun dial and water clocks. You’ll see mechanical clocks, stopwatches, table clocks, pocket watches and even beautifully decorated Baroque and Art Nouveau clocks. Highly recommend it to learn more about the history of clocks, it’s fascinating 👍🏽👍🏽 The staff are also very friendly and will always help u find the clocks in the tablet audio guide 👍🏽👍🏽

The beach offers amenities such as children's playgrounds, sports courts, fitness equipment, changing cabins, and showers. Lifeguards ensure safety while a medical station caters to any emergencies. What sets this beach apart is its accessibility features for people with mobility disabilities.
I visited the beach in Melnarage in winter. The weather was mild, with no snow or ice—perfect for a peaceful walk. The beach looked beautiful. Nearby, there’s a sauna and a bar where you can warm up and grab a bite, which adds to the convenience. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quiet getaway, especially with these amenities close by. Pizza restaurant
For frugal travelers, the optimal option would be to sample kebabs readily available on nearly every street corner or explore pizzerias like Charlie pizza, Pipita, and Čili Pizza. The latter is a well-established chain eatery that offers a range of dishes beyond just pizza. Although the food at Čili Pizza isn't exceptional, it still manages to satisfy with its decent pizzas, wings, chicken, and beverages.
recently had the opportunity to visit Chilly Pizza in Klaipėda, and I must say I was very satisfied with the overall experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and pleasant. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly during my visit. One feature I particularly appreciated was the ability to order and pay directly through my phone. It made the whole process quick and hassle-free, which is especially convenient when you're in a hurry or just prefer a more contactless experience. Overall, Chilly Pizza offers great food, excellent service, and modern convenience. I would gladly come back and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Klaipėda.
Veselina G — Google review
The worst pizza I have ever tasted... The olives were too cold, and the sauce was nothing like a real pizza sauce it wasn’t tasty at all. The edges of the pizza had no sauce, making it dry and unappetizing. And the arugula? Just thrown on top as if the chef was upset about paying for the pizza himself. Even the extra sauce had a terrible taste. I honestly don’t know how this pizzeria is still open. The decor is nice, but what’s the point of a beautiful interior if the pizza is bad? People come for good food, not just good decor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone easily the worst spot I’ve ever been to. I also don’t understand why they haven’t changed their pizza chef despite receiving consistently bad reviews from many people. This pizzeria has a terrible reputation for its awful pizza. I wanted to give them a chance since I share the best restaurants on Instagram, and I thought maybe they had improved but unfortunately, it was the worst experience possible. It even made me wonder if they deliberately serve bad pizza to people who speak English because the pizza felt completely random and careless. I truly regret giving them a chance. I’d rather spend my money at an expensive place that serves good food than waste it on a pizzeria that doesn’t even make decent pizza. I forgot to mention that the pizza was only cut into two pieces. Even with a knife, it was hard to cut, and the tomatoes were cold. The pizza itself was also cold; it felt like they put it in the fridge, and when someone orders, they just heat it up.
Takwa H — Google review
For a chain restaurant food was not bad, nothing too special to mention. Pizza, wings, chicken and drinks we ordered were really good. Plovas I tried felt precooked and felt like Uncle Ben’s rice was used and a bit on the dry side. Other than it was good. Facilities were good and clean plenty of seating spaces with TVs to keep the children and adults occupied
Don A — Google review
We are guests of this city. Following recommendations, we visited this place. The location is convenient. However, we were very disappointed with both the service quality and the food quality. The entire staff seemed gloomy, unhappy, and distracted. We had to wait a long time for the food. The food quality was terrible – cold, with some pizza even burnt, and appetizers that looked as if they had been taken from another table. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EITHER CITY VISITORS!

Nice views, especially of night town, port side view is partially blocked by near "K" hotel building. Quite specific interior (aka amber room) - smooth amber-yellow light, quite music. Food is prepared (grill table) in the middle of restorant 'on your eyes', so sometimes might be quite smelly (during grilling, or if some meet bit burned, as in or case). Not too lot of space, hence quite cozy, some small bar. Helpful and affordable staff (looked bit unhappy and busy) . I would name it 'restaurant with history' - which one? - decide by your own feelings 😊

Ararat All Suites Hotel & Restaurant, situated just a short stroll from the historic old town, offers a range of hearty stews, grilled meats, and Armenian wines in an elegant dining area. The hotel itself is well-maintained and boasts excellent hospitality. Mr. Pogos, the owner, is exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
Fantastic hotel with kind and helpful staff. Nice rooms with comfy beds and pillows. Location perfect, just in the city center and only 15 minute walk from the old town. Spent a night here after an epic ferry crossing from Kiel, Germany, and loved everything about this hotel. I had a huge, super-cozy suite with a fully stocked minibar, and the restaurant actually served me dinner as late as 9.30 in the evening, on a lovely sunny terrace (and it was delicious, too). The place is only a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station, and both the hotel and the restaurant are fantastic value If you end up in Klaipeda, look no further.

Very nice surprise! I had mixed feelings looking at the pictures and reviews but I was extremely satisfied. The rooms are spacious and quite luxurious I would say, especially the bathroom. Big shower and plenty of space. The kitchen is a bit tiny and the door of the cabinet was a bit broken, only reason why I don’t give 5* to the rooms, so close from being perfect but a little detail that was a shame, together with the lack of blinders. The top of the top was the breakfast. Very rich and for all tastes. Very happy with it.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, the room was good and clean, the hotel itself looks really nice. We had breakfast included, and it was a pretty decent breakfast . The only really bad experience we had was the service. The reception is not too bad but pretty slow sometimes. The hotel has an Armenian cuisine restaurant with the same name Ararat. Food wasn't bad, but the service was pretty confusing. The menu we got was in Latuinian, when we told it to the waiter he told us - we'll, you should ask me to bring the menu in English. The waiting time was pretty long . When we got part of our food and asked about the rest of the order, the waiter told us :"I only have two hands." We ordered coffee, and it was sitting for a while on the bar before we got it.

I stayed here for one week. **Parking Information:** Parking is free on weekends, allowing you to park directly in front of the hotel. However, during the week, free parking is not available in front of the hotel. Limited free street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and tends to fill up quickly. Please note that free parking is not permitted in the designated spaces in the courtyard behind the hotel. Paid parking is available there, which can be managed through a mobile application. Unfortunately, I don't have details on which app to use. ** Breakfast: Breakfast Experience:Breakfast was included with my stay and featured a variety of typical American breakfast items, albeit in small portions, and served on small plates. The staff in the breakfast area were very friendly and ensured everything was consistently replenished. The offerings included: Scrambled eggs Bacon Chicken nuggets Wings Assortment of bread options Fresh fruit Salad (a nod to Eastern European cuisine) Crepes (available once during my stay) Fresh milk Coffee Juice Infused water European yogurt The Room **Room Description:** I stayed in a studio room with a king-size bed and four pillows, though the pillows were not comfortable. The bed was made with fitted sheets, a loose sheet, and a duvet. However, after the first night, housekeeping took the duvet cover and did not replace it. The room featured a small TV from the 1990s that could be rotated for comfortable viewing from either the bed or the couch. The living area included a couch and a desk for workspace. The kitchen was equipped with an electric tea kettle, two flat stove burners, a fully stocked small fridge, a sink, and a vent hood. The bathroom lacked a shower curtain, but there was a partial glass partition to contain water in the tub. The tub was large and quite high, so caution was necessary. The bathroom also included an electric hair dryer and small packets of shampoo, soap, and body wash. The staff They were very nice and helpful, every time I encountered them it was a positive experience. And they all speak English, which is a plus! A+!

The menu is on the restaurant's Facebook page if you follow them. The atmosphere was giving summer, there were heaps of plants. The salsa was refreshing, the fries were perfectly salted. I personally don't recommend the salads since there's a lot of greens and the cheese isn't one you'd see in a really good Ceasar salad. Fried calamari rings were really good and the sweet potato fries weren't bad either. The shrimp sauce was spicy and I wasn't really a fan of it but the serving size was outrageous as you can see in the photo! We also ordered the ice cream, which was nothing exceptional but good nonetheless.

We had a great lunch experience in Baltas Ruonis. We visited during off season so we didn't make a reservation and found seats easily. Bali bowl was great, a very big portion though. The fish of the day was absolutely divine and would be 100% repeated. The view is stunning and the staff is friendly. Definitely a must visit spot if you are nearby.

A very good place by the sea. I would like to mention the wonderful and sympathetic employee Lucas. We were here with the children on Saturday before the rain, and he kindly provided us with a table indoors, although there were absolutely no seats. The food is delicious. The choice of seafood dishes is wonderful. I definitely recommend it.

Very good food and sizes. Recommend to reserve table if going in evening. The only advice - more careful cut for beef tartar, as it had some not so tender parts.

I had a really good experience at Baltas Ruonis! The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel welcomed. A special compliment to our server, Paulius, for his exceptional service! We tried the "Three Musketeers" pizza and the burrata salad, both of which were quite ok. I highly recommend this restaurant for enjoying beach atmosphere and lunch. During night season book the table in advance.

Delicious food! Recommend the octopus and the tuna steak. Fish of the day was great as well. Love the interior and the atmosphere - great views of the sea both inside and outside. Staff was very pleasant and kind. My only criticism is that dishes don't seem to change, I had my wedding here a few years back and I can still see the same dishes on the menu! Also the soufle on the desert menu is actually a fondant! If it wasn't delicious this would have been a 4 star review ;)
Z — Google review
My friend and I came to the restaurant 30 minutes before closing. As soon as we walked in, the server who “greeted” us told me that we only had 15 minutes to eat. Even after I mentioned that I just wanted a salad, she insisted that we could only order snacks and nothing more. She seemed a bit annoyed that we came in so late. However, when another server a young man came to take our order, we asked for a shrimp salad, and he assured us it was absolutely fine. He was very kind and attentive, and we were happy that he was serving us. The salad itself was okay, but it only had a couple of tomatoes, adding more would have made it better. The view and atmosphere of the restaurant are amazing. I highly recommend coming here before sunset to enjoy delicious cocktails and the beautiful sea view.

Theatre Square

The Theatre Square, also known as Teatro aikste, is the primary cultural center in the port city. Visitors often take guided tours to delve into the history of the square and its transformation from a swampy area to a bustling public space in the 19th century. The square features the Theatre building, where renowned figures like Richard Wagener once conducted, and hosts a demure sculpture of Annchen from Tharau in remembrance of poet Simon Dach.
One of the central squares of Klaipeda, which featured a carousel and a Christmas tree in late December. At night the area was well trafficked and felt quite safe.
Matt B — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting Klaipėda, Lithuania while on a cruise, and Theatre Square was one of the highlights of our stop. We arrived in early May and were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and uncrowded the area was—perfect for strolling and soaking in the surroundings without the hustle and bustle of larger tourist spots. The square itself is charming, with beautiful architecture surrounding it and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. There were about a dozen local vendors set up around the square, selling handmade crafts, local souvenirs, and authentic Baltic amber jewelry. I ended up purchasing two amber necklaces, two bracelets, and a Klaipėda shot glass—all for just €25. It was by far the most affordable port we stopped at on our trip, without sacrificing quality. Theater Square has a rich history dating back to the 17th century, evolving from an old market site into the vibrant public space it is today. I loved learning how the area once featured fish markets and colorful boats pulling right up to the castle moats. The blend of historical charm and modern-day liveliness makes it a perfect place to stop for a coffee, take photos, or shop for unique gifts. The standout landmarks here are the Klaipėda City Theater and the Simon-Dach Fountain. The fountain itself is a work of art, topped with the statue of Little Anne of Tharau—an iconic figure from a famous local folk song. It adds a poetic touch to the square and is surrounded by benches if you want to sit and enjoy the view. Whether you’re into history, shopping, or simply relaxing in a picturesque European square, Theatre Square is a must-see while in Klaipėda. Highly recommended if you're visiting by cruise or just passing through the city!

Theatre Square in Klaipėda is a lovely historic spot right in the center of the old town. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the local atmosphere, or watch street performances and festivals. The architecture around the square is charming, and the statue of Ann from Tharau gives it a romantic touch. There are plenty of cafes nearby where you can sit and enjoy the view. A perfect place to feel the spirit of Klaipėda and take beautiful photos. Definitely worth a visit for tourists and locals alike!

It's a bustling and a vibrant area. Loads of fantastic cafés, restaurants and places to visit, including an amazing Amber museum with a wide selection of designs and creativity! Most designs are for sale, also they have a section for books of photography about Lithuania. Amber which is for sale are certified and high quality. Me self bought a dainty pendant with a nice black cord to to go with.

If you're in Klaipeda and craving a laid-back atmosphere with delicious food, DOCK craft beer and burgers is the place to be. This popular spot offers an impressive selection of mouthwatering burgers that are sure to satisfy any appetite. While the side dishes could use a bit more flair, the crispy chips stand out as a favorite. The cocktail menu is also noteworthy, providing refreshing options for those looking to unwind after a day of exploring.
Went here with a group of five. All of the food was delicious. The heat level on the buffalo chicken wings was just spicy enough so you could taste it and still enjoy the wings. The gourmet burgers were flavorful and filling.

Just had one of the best burgers in town at Dock Burger! 🍔🔥 Juicy, perfectly cooked patty, fresh toppings, and that bun… soft yet holds everything together. Great vibes, friendly service, and the flavors hit all the right notes. Definitely coming back! Next year

Awesome spot for a burger and beer. The menu is really diverse so everyone will find something they like. We got a couple of burgers and the spicy burger was legitimately spicy. Highly recommend the garlic aoli as well. Also this place was super kid friendly. They had a highchair easily accessible and had no issues with us hanging out while ours slept.

When my wife and I were arriving via bus this morning to Klaipēda, our first mission was to find a quick bite to eat while waiting for our Airbnb to open. My wife happened to stumble across Dock on Google maps. We saw poutine on the menu and didn't have to question if this was the place or not. Though the poutine wasn't 100% accurate to traditional Canadian poutine in presentation, it was absolutely spot on in taste. Braised beef/pot roast, melted cheddar and super crispy fries. HOUSE MADE potato chips that had all the crunch of store bought but with so much more flavor. The spicy burger was actually proper spicy and super tasty. Chicken burger was flavorful and different from most chicken burgers we have back in Rīga. And Lagunitas IPA on draft. Our waiter was super cool and passed the vibe check. Got our jokes and was very helpful. What more could you want?

Awesome burger with very delicious meat and amazing spicy carrot sauce (recommended by very kind staff). Definitely worth visiting while in the city.
PS — Google review
Everytime (once a year) we visit Klaipėda we go to DOCK for a tasty burger. We always get a non-spicy burger each and the super spicy carrot souce on the side with some fries. It's a perfect combo and everytime DOCK delivers. Will come back again and recommend you (the reader) to do the same!
Mantas D — Google review
The cocktails were tasty and good looking. The fries were crunchy and especially the feta sauce was good combo with the fries. We ordered the smoked burger and it had some greatly cooked meat. It was tasty, but specifically the smoked burger was a bit dry, adding more sauce would fix that and make it a great burger! As a side note - the smoked burger comes with a different kind of bun - dark rye bun and maybe not everybody will like it as it’s less soft than other options.

Specialty Museums
The Castle Museum in Klaipeda offers an immersive experience into the history of the city and its castle. It is located within two underground sections of the remaining structure, showcasing a variety of exhibits including medieval costumes, paintings, and photographs from different historical periods. Visitors can explore the development of Klaipeda through archaeological finds, documents, and ancient costumes on display. Additionally, art enthusiasts can also visit the Blacksmiths Museum and Clock Museum for insights into local craftsmanship.
So the museum is split into three distinct parts. The main building covers the time from the first settlement until the mid-18th century, if I remember correctly. The second part is from the mid-18th century until just about the beginning of WW2. The last part is from WW2 until its liberation. I can definitely recommend this museum, it has a lot of interactive media which will keep you entertained for hours. I also met the friendliest museum curator in the second exposition. Thank you so much for the awesome conversation.
Tiago G — Google review
There 3 different showings. The WW2 museum, a Davinci exhibition and the middle ages one. Each has it's own tickets. Kids or students get half price tickets which was nice. Not allot of artifacts, but a really good over view on the story of Klapedia. The big red castle was not open for viewings. Before going, look up the parking areas close to the castle.
Marwan A — Google review
Who are interested in history, will find plenty of stuff to browse through. Be aware that some spaces can have quite cold temperatures for the purpose of preserving the historic artifacts. Bring something warm to coat yourself in.

A museum is built on the remains of the Klepeida castle. There is a model of the old city. This is an archaeological museum, the research done is very thorol and professional. Presented on the subjects of history, daily life in ancient times, goods, spices, professions, details of clothing, law, church, wars and conquests. The exhibits and information are very clear and the way they are presented is fascinating. Most of the museum is translated into English. Some are shown inside a bunker and the atmosphere is special. The place is clean, service and pleasant staff. On The outside looks simple, the inside is fascinating, worth a visit, fair price. We spent two and a half hours with teenagers

Medieval Klaipėda was a small town. The ideas of the Reformation and the Renaissance gave a great impetus to the development of the city. The symbol of Renaissance Klaipėda is found in the castle from the 16th century. a gold ring with a jewel of a middle nobleman. The atmosphere of the townspeople's life and fashion are reflected in green glazed cobblestones, remains of shoes, household items, craftsman's work tools, coins, imported items. One of the most interesting exhibits is the 17th century. the layout of the second half of Klaipėda castle and city, created after analyzing archaeological, historical, cartographic, iconographic sources. The computer terminal installed in the castle museum allows visitors to independently obtain information on the history of Klaipėda.

If you are visiting Klaipeda this museum will give you a good understanding of the city's history, it's growth and importance through time. Audio guide is included and is very good. Watch the film projected onto the back wall of the second room first, then follow the audio trail. A good 3-4 hours could be spent here. Highly recommended. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Great experience.

The Square of Resurrection is a picturesque location that offers opportunities for leisurely strolls and serene yoga sessions. Visitors can also take a moment to unwind with a cup of tea while admiring the remarkable structures and sculptures scattered throughout. The architectural wonders in this area may be ancient, but they have been meticulously restored, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. Additionally, the celebratory event commemorating Independence restoration day featuring J&J sindikatas was a notable highlight.
Beautiful place to go for a walk, or for doing yoga. Or you can take a cup of tea, sit down and relax. You will see amazing buildings and sculptures all around. Architecture in that place is very old, but it looks nice, because everything was renovated.

Coco Restobar is a restaurant serving Asian fusion cuisine, with dishes such as samosas and tiger prawns. It is popular for late-night eats and drinks, due to its extensive drink menu. The restaurant has very nice decor and location, but the food can be a bit inconsistent.
This is a place we found on Google maps, great recommendation. Service was great, listened to the waitresses recommendations and had a great meal. The food portions are huge. The local beer was great!!! A must place to visit eat and drink! 🍻

Nice place… Got forgotten for 20 minutes after I was sat at the table, but they were nice. Don’t get the concept, that if you order a steak for over 26 euro, you still have to pay for everything else, sauce, fries, salad, etc. Ordered a medium rare steak, got a well done, but I just ate it, because I didn’t want to wait. Not the best and not the worst steak but to the price 👎, but again the view was good. The beer was good 👍👍👍

Fantastic place, highly recommended! Excellent location, great menu, food is awesome, great service. Taste shrimp and steak, beer was blonde and refreshing!!
Viktor V — Google review
The food for me was fine not more, the price is too much, you pay for everything separately so the sauce for example cost money. the waiter didn’t want to give us tap water so we payed for water, i don’t like to pay for water. Yesterday i ate in the city in a chef’s restaurant and payed less and the food was way better and the same amount without the needs of ordering a lot of things. So in conclusion - ok but there is better and cheaper.

Great Dining Experience by the Danė River I recently dined at the restaurant next to the Danė River and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was lovely, with tasteful decor and a charming outdoor terrace overlooking the river. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. The highlight of the meal was definitely the delicious burger and soup, both of which were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary popcorn, which added a nice touch to the dining experience. I would advise future diners to make reservations in advance, especially for weekend evenings, as the restaurant tends to fill up quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in the area.

Restaurant
ALBA Bistro is not just an eatery situated in the center of Klaipeda's historical district. It represents a culinary movement that has transformed the Italian cuisine scene along Lithuania's coastal region, garnering highly positive evaluations from its patrons. This establishment offers more than just a meal; it presents an exceptional gastronomic encounter with excellent dishes and exceptional service.
Had a lovely experience in this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and of a high quality. The portions were very generous and we couldn't finish 2 starters and 3 mains between the 3 of us as there was so much food. We went with veal for mains and calamari and bread platter for starters. The decor and atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. We don't have many places like this in Klaipėda, so I'm glad this is on offer now. Would gladly come back. Though I do think the prices are a bit high.

Without a doubt, the best quality food in Klaipėda. Everything is made with top ingredients and real care. The pizza was incredible — full of flavor with a perfect Neapolitan crust. Prices are a bit high but worth it. Definitely try the steak tartare, it might be the best steak tartare starter I’ve ever had.

The service was great, making our experience even more enjoyable. However, I was a bit disappointed that there were no sweet options suitable for breakfast on the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful place to start the day!

Dinner at this place is always a highlight when visiting Klaipeda. Pizzas are excellent and Copenhagen sparkling tea is one of the tastiest non-alco options you can get.
Neringa D — Google review
TL;DR: I fully agree with other reviewers who say the price tag doesn’t match the experience - the quality-to-price ratio is heavily skewed. To be fair, nothing was outright terrible, but the whole experience was mediocre and forgettable: the food (including their much-praised tiramisu), the limited menu choices, the lack of ambience - all at “fine dining in a major European capital” prices. On top of that, the ventilation system was clearly inadequate - the dining area close to the pizza oven was filled with fumes and the heavy smell of burnt dough. In my opinion, Bistro Alba is massively overrated and overpriced. I was especially surprised by all the glowing 5 star reviews praising the tiramisu. Anyone who’s ever eaten tiramisu in Italy - or even made one at home - would be stunned by the bone-dry, sandpaper-like ladyfingers. The cream was tasty, though a bit runny, but the biscuits hadn’t been soaked in coffee at all. That’s a travesty :) To be balanced: the pizza dough was very good, but the toppings were meager. And at €22 for a pizza, it’s overpriced even compared to other holiday destinations in Europe. Service was friendly and efficient. My only quibble: crushed black pepper served in a tiny bowl with a spoon rather than a proper pepper mill or even a shaker. In an Italian bistro, that says a lot and is very emblematic of this place - we’ll charge you €40 for a bottle of prosecco (not even Valdobbiadene), but no pepper mills in sight :) I hear this restaurant made it onto a Michelin recommendation list, which is probably why people flock to try it - as we did. But our group of six left deeply underwhelmed.

It's a very nice little square

Charming reconstruction of the statue that Hitler had destroyed because it showed its backside to him during his speech from the municipal building after the invasion. Busy craft market surrounding the square.

Grill
Nestled in the vibrant city of Klaipeda, Lithuania, Momo Grill stands out as a must-visit dining destination. This charming eatery boasts a cozy atmosphere with sleek white tiled walls and dark hardwood floors that create an inviting ambiance. Guests can indulge in a variety of delicious starters and main dishes crafted with care. The experience is further enhanced by the delightful service from the host, who brings warmth and charm to each table while ensuring everyone feels welcome.
It's a fantastic cosy restaurant one I highly recommend. It's got a NYC vibe in the centre of Klipeda. Don't let the size of it put you off. You won't be disappointed, the menu is small but beautifully put together. Great food, good wine & service what more could anyone ask for. This is not my first time there, and while a year has passed since my last visit, the quality is still top class. I'll definitely be back.
Liam F — Google review
Loved Momo Grill. The service was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was casual but cool. We had tuna and beef tartar, duck skewers, steak tenderloin, and a cucumber cocktail — everything was spot on. Great quality ingredients, beautifully presented without being fussy. The flavors and textures were so well balanced you wanted to linger over every bite. I could go there again and again.
Tina A — Google review
Found this place by chance. Really tasty food. Had the beef tartare (see pic), which was excellent, as well as the homemade sausages, and sweet potatoes. Service was good as well. Prices are fair for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. We split the above 3 dishes and had a large still water and two coffee drinks. Total was 51€

We’ve been coming back to Momo Grill every time we visit Klaipėda since 2021, and it’s safe to say it has become our must-visit tradition. Every meal here is an experience — from the first bite to the last, we’re reminded why we return again and again. The service is fantastic. The team makes us feel truly at home — warmly remembered and genuinely valued with each visit. That kind of hospitality is rare, and we appreciate it deeply. The food is consistently exceptional. The pâté is smooth, perfectly balanced, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. The prawns are always expertly prepared, with just the right seasoning to let their natural flavor shine. Whether it's fish or meat, everything is top-notch in both taste and presentation. And of course, the atmosphere ties it all together — cozy, elegant, and full of charm. One of the best dining environments you’ll find in Klaipėda. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Momo Grill. It never disappoints.
Sarunas L — Google review
Great food and relaxed vibe: We really enjoyed our dinner here - the catfish and Momo sausages were full of flavour, and the curd ice cream with blackcurrant sauce was a perfect finish. Friendly service, cosy atmosphere. It’s a bit pricier, but totally worth it. Would definitely come back!
Juergen S — Google review
A small and very nice restaurant. The service was great and the food.. OMG. The complinary bread served was very nice, and then I had a Burrata as startar, then entrecote folowed by dessert and coffee. The meat were cooked to perfection. If you like good prepared food, and don't mind paying for it, I would recommend this place.
Fredrik K — Google review
Cosy tiny place. Booking in advance recommended. Staff is fast and polite. Prices are quite high. Starters from 11, mains from 25 euros. Wide selection of wines starting at 45 per bottle. Five stars because food was fabulous! Pricey, but high end food. They serve lunch of the day for around 15 euros. Well worth to try. It is served Mon-Fri, from 11am up to 2pm.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming city of Klaipeda, Monai is a culinary gem that has been delighting diners since 1996. This polished restaurant offers an impressive selection of elevated dishes featuring premium meats, seafood, and poultry. Seasonal specialties add a delightful twist to the menu, making each visit unique. One standout item is their generously sized dumplings, which are served with savory accompaniments like bacon and pork rinds alongside a creamy sour milk sauce.
Everything was perfect! A truly great restaurant stands out not just for its food, but for the overall experience. Attentive service, consistency in quality and amazing atmosphere. Price meets expectations

The best restaurant in Klaipėda! I visited this place a few years ago and came back to see if it’s still as good—and it absolutely is! The food is made from seasonal ingredients, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. Service was impeccable and warm, just like before. Highly recommended if you’re looking for quality dining in Klaipėda! 🌟

Gosh this was an absolute delight - if you are ever on Lithuanian seaside, restaurant Monai is a must-experience. From heavenly food to every detail giving aesthetic joys. And a stunning team that we instantly fell in love with ❤️ In old Lithuanian, “monai” means casting spells, magic tricks. And this absolutely felt like it. We were all in awe, the taste of everything was just beyond possible to describe, what an unforgettable time.
Kristina M — Google review
Visited in Sep 2025 Monai is undoubtedly one of the most popular restaurants in Klaipeda and also features in the Michelin Guide for the last two years. We had made a reservation and aid say reservations are recommended as this place is quite popular. The menu here is an a-la-carte menu but I think they can create a set menu for you if you ask them. We ordered one starter course (tuna tartare) and 3 mains (halibut fillet, octopus, beef fillet). The tuna tartare appetiser course was fantastic. Among the mains we ordered, the beef fillet was my favourite course. Also ordered a couple of desserts which were very nice too. For drinks, I just ordered a couple of drinks from their non-alcoholic menu. Service was very nice here and we were constantly attended to by the restaurant staff. Overall, I think a meal at Monai is a must do if you’re visiting Klaipeda.
Avijeet S — Google review
This restaurant visit started with promise but ended with a disappointment — mostly thanks to a waiter who seemed to think arrogance was part of the menu. The concept is actually fun: at the beginning, you choose how much “presence” you’d like from the staff, from low-key service to full-on storytelling about the food. We picked the short telling about the food option, imagining a charming little narrative with our meal. What we got instead was a card explaining what should have happened… but didn’t. When we asked the waiter to tell us about the dishes, he said (in flawless English) that he still needed time to “translate.” Translation: couldn’t be bothered. Knowing the menu is Hospitality — language skills clearly weren’t the problem, but attitude definitely was. The food? Decent. Not bad, but not nearly good enough to forgive the service. The cocktails, however, were genuinely good. P.S. The 10% tip we didn’t leave “Monai” found its way to the bartender at Faksas instead. She was everything the waiter wasn’t: professional, warm, and a pleasure to meet.
Jolanta K — Google review
Overrated and overpriced restaurant. It's not normal that tasting menu was not offered after 8pm, it was not mentionned when the réservation was made. Globally food is tasty and well cooked, some original Flavour. But price is too high, 34€ for an Octopus Dish. There is no amuse bouche between the Dishes (quite unusual for a Michelin recommanded restaurant). Again, why making a Dish with plenty of sauce and not offering any bread, the waitress doesn't even bring a spoon. Globally quite disappointed by the expérience, expected to spend more to taste but finally didn't even take the dessert.

We had a wonderful evening at Monai. We had the tasting menu and were very impressed by the quality and the service. Amazing food!
Caroline D — Google review
Great restaurant with fabulous food. Where here for dinner, all the dishes were amazing. Starter - tuna tartar was very good, but main - beef, was fabulous, cooked exactly as I ordered. And the star of the evening pistachio desert...it was like cherry on the top of the evening. Great restaurant, amazing staff, calm and professional work of the kitchen (you can see how they prepare all dishes) definitely recommend. 👌🏼

Beach
Smiltynės Beach in Klaipeda is a great spot for leisurely strolls and offers about 2 kilometers of pure sandy coastline. The beach also features a small hill that provides stunning views of the surroundings. Visitors can easily find their own secluded spot by moving around, and renting a bike is recommended for faster exploration. While the water may be cold, it's clean and suitable for sunbathing.
The beach is beautiful and clean, there is no trash or algae which makes for a great experience. Also the walk to it through the forest is amazing.

Really cool beach, not only because there's like 2 kilometers of just pure sand, it also has a small hill behind itself, giving an astonishing view of the beach itself. However there's not much to do by yourself, unless you prefer long walks on the beach.

Restaurant
ETNO DVARAS is a delightful spot that captures the essence of traditional Lithuanian cuisine. Nestled conveniently near the port, castle, and main street, it offers a vibrant atmosphere perfect for summer dining. Guests rave about the deliciously prepared dishes like cold pink soup and hearty potato pancakes. The restaurant's interior is just as inviting as its outdoor seating, making it an excellent choice for any occasion.
Etno is a great place to discover traditional Lithuanian food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is friendly. I had the salmon, which was very good—fresh and well-cooked. However, I didn’t really enjoy the potatoes that came with it; maybe it’s just a personal taste. The prices are fair considering the quality and portion sizes. It’s a perfect place if you want to taste local dishes in a cozy and cultural setting. I definitely recommend it!
Samoud M — Google review
The food was really good and they have many traditional Lithuanian food options as well as drinks. We got 2 cold beetroot soups with potatoes, an acorn coffee and a cold red berry drink. The service was nice and the food came out quickly, they have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Domeila D — Google review
We visited this restaurant after a positive experience at Etno Dvaras in Druskininkai, but unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. The menu was slightly different, and some of the dishes – including those from the already limited vegetarian selection – were unavailable. We also had to wait a bit longer both to place our order and to receive the food. Additionally, the dining area gave the impression that the restaurant might have been understaffed, as many tables remained uncleared for quite a while. That said, despite these minor issues, the most important thing – the food – was still very tasty and filling. And when it comes to delicious Lithuanian cepelinai, they’re definitely worth the wait.

Tonight Our group of 10 travelers from 5 countries looked for typical Lithuanian Food. We asssured with the person who seated us that we could pay with separate checks. Our Latvian your guide spoke to her in Russian. We enjoyed a great meal of forest mushroom soups in black bread bowl, potato pancakes stuffed with meat. Pork with sauerkraut and pickles, beet root soup, beet soup. I ordered bacon which meant pork bellies well prepared with beet root salad and sayrkraur with a delicious pickle. For drinks we chose red wines, local beer, sea thirn berry tea , and lots of water served with crsnberries and mint infusión. Huge bowls of ice cream found their way to our dessert palate Great traditional decor. The problem ocurred when the servers told us that we could not have separate checks. Four staff stood around with negative attitudes. Unfortunately this presented a problem for our group. Not recommended for a group of international travelers who want to support local economy and experience the local people and customs. The rudest people we have encountered in our 6 week tour of Scandinavia and Baltics.
Toni T — Google review
Very nice place, was a bit worried about the restaurant being too “touristy” but it turned out to be the best one in our Baltic roadtrip. Main meals were great but still the star of the meal goes to the doughnut balls for dessert. Oh and drinks were excellent too, especially their own brandy and mead. All in all this one is certainly something I can recommend!
Tero J — Google review
Potato pudding with minced bacon. Do you see meat? No? Me too. Oily mashed potatoes per 10€. Overpriced place for tourists. Bad experience, actually. ☹️ Also took beef stroganoff, too much onions and mushrooms and a little bit of beef. Lemonade was good. Place as it is – okay, but food is under huge question.
Anna K — Google review
“You’ll have to wait around 30min for food but if you order cepelinai it’s gonna be faster”. Ordered cepelinai, waited an hour. Asked multiple times when’s our food coming, each time response was “a few minutes”, if by “few” they mean 10-15min… Portion sizes are horrible. You mean I paid 10+eur for this? Not to mention half of the food on the menu for some reason is unavailable…
Viktorija Ž — Google review

Great lunch at VinVino. Fresh food, accommodating staff and nice atmosphere. Compact menu and good selection of wine. Highly recommended.

We waited about 40 minutes in total. The guy who served us was friendly, but that didn't save us from being disappointed with the quality of the dinner. The "Italian" wine turned out to be not dry at all, but sour and watery in taste. It is impossible to drink. The Mexican pizza was not spicy at all, tasteless I would say. Salad with goat cheese is the only thing worth paying attention to. The place is very overrated as a conclusion

One of the top fancy restaurants in Klaipeda. High quality food and service. All staff are fluent in English. Riverside restaurant; such a cozy environment. And Indoor and outdoor seating available. Best place to spend quality time with delicious food.
Nur M — Google review
The pizza and wings were quite good, definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the service was rather cold and condescending, not exactly welcoming. On a busy Friday evening, there was only one waiter for the entire terrace and indoor area, which led to long wait times. Also, there’s only one restroom, so a queue tends to form inside the restaurant.
Andrew — Google review
Cosy place, good food, calm atmosphare. Space available indoors and outdoors
Darius J — Google review
We ordered 2 pizzas, bread w/cheese and cheese balls. Pizza was disgusting, not tasty at all. Service was ok, but not welcoming. The restaurant has outside seating which is nice with kids, but all the time we seat there, there was a truck parked outside which brought good to the restaurant, and the motor worked all the way, for like 40 minutes at least. Overall we had bad experience assuming we ate only the cheese balls and payed 60 euro.

Restoranas Marilyn M yra įkvėptas Amerikos legendos Marilyn Monroe ir vadovaujamas Margaritos, kurios tikslas buvo sukurti vietą Klaipėdoje, skirtą brandžiai auditorijai.
Today I had the pleasure of dining at Marilyn M and it was truly a delightful experience! From the appetisers to the desserts, each bite was a symphony of taste. The service was top-notch, setting a new standard for excellence! The interior design is elegant yet comfortable. The restaurant is a true culinary gem and I can recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience!
Petar S — Google review
First time visiting Marilyn Monroe restaurant with my friend. I have to say this is the best restaurant in Klaipėda so far out of all the ones I’ve been to. My beef steak was very tasty and super juicy. Even though I don’t like any sauces, the beef steak sauce was extremely good. The only thing is that the food presentation on the plate wasn’t very appealing. I think they could make it more aesthetic because right now it just looks like beef with simply placed vegetables. But still, everything was absolutely delicious. The Cocktail Marilyn is definitely worth trying. It’s very tasty! Special thanks to our server. He was very nice and attentive. Overall, a great atmosphere and amazing food!

This place is 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. I liked everything: service, food, drinks. Toilet deserves special mention: there are feminine hygiene products, cotton swabs and hand cream. Price tag is above average, but it is definitely worth it!
Александра М — Google review
Not a bad restaurant with good service. The prices for the offered assortment are overpriced and designed for clientele with above-average income. The taste of dishes is a bit flat, and it would be nice to give them a little zest. Suitable for a romantic evening.
Alex K — Google review
Such a cozy place. The staff help create a romantic atmosphere - the food was delicious, of course, but the cocktails deserve a separate note: added to the entire vibe of the place. I must say, two satisfied customers left the place with a couple of smiles:)

I strongly recommend the restaurant if you are seeking pleasant dining experience!

Skandalas is a restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, including steak and seafood. The food is described as delicious, with some patrons enjoying the fresh and clean environment. However, there are mixed reviews about the menu options and pricing. While some customers appreciate the quality of the food and friendly service, others have mentioned overcooked steaks and limited beer selection. Despite this, the serving staff has been praised for being attentive and accommodating to diners' needs.
