Nestled along the picturesque riverbank of Dane Park, the Meridianas is a charming riverside restaurant housed in a beautifully restored ship that dates back to 1948. Originally built as a training vessel, this floating eatery has been delighting diners since 1971 with its exquisite global menu, particularly focusing on grilled meats and fresh seafood sourced locally.
Very unique restaurant. Great food, absolutely everything we had was great. Staff were very attentive, friendly and overall just super professional. Side note, their fish soup comes in a huge portion, it’s a meal by itself!
Jack R — Google review
I would like to thanks for all Meridianas crew, we had amazing experience, definitely the best food I had in Lithuania. Seafood soup was one of the best in my life. Definitely worth every euro we spent there. I would recommend pork ribs too. Portions were huge and nicely served. Definitely will be back. Reserving whole ship for private dinner was worthy too😝. Just joking, accidentally got lucky for private dinner✌️.
Deividas V — Google review
Located in an old tall ship. Its berthed by the river in the old town. The ambience is excellent. The service is great. The salad is excellent. The teak is good but the potato could do with less sauce.
Li K — Google review
Had a nice dinner for two. Service was great and atmosphere a bit outdated though very unique. Beef steak was terrific.
Martynas M — Google review
The food was really good, I chose the duck and it was amazing. Definitely would like to come back to enjoy.
Adrian H — Google review
We were impressed with the food quality at the Meridian. The duck was juicy, atmosphere cool and service well attending. Highly recommend. It is not very accommodating for small children due to steep staircase and lack of high chairs, but ships are not designed for that to start.
Linchikas — Google review
Please don’t say this is a Italian food (tagliatelle or fettuccini or spaghetti) 🤬 It was terrible and worse Italian food in my life 🤮 Evan I don’t touched the food….. just pay for trash..

The restaurant is on a boat, you can eat on the deck, very chill. Have a DJ to play music, staffs are in marine customs. Had the fish soup & bass. Food was in large portions. Good service. They served me bread and salad without extra cost.

Step into the whimsical wonderland of the Museum of Clocks in Klaipeda, where you'll be mesmerized by a variety of vintage timepieces and exhibits showcasing the history of watchmaking. Housed in a country villa dating back to 1820, this old-world museum offers a detailed look at the ingenuity behind timekeeping throughout the centuries.
If this kind of museum is interesting for you, it's definitely place to see. It was much more than just regular watches. This museum starts measuring the time from the time B C
Timo M — Google review
An exceptionally cozy place that we highly recommend visiting—both for guests of the city and for Klaipėda locals. The museum features many fascinating historical artifacts and cleverly arranged exhibitions, along with extremely helpful staff. We strongly recommend taking a guided tour—you’ll discover truly interesting facts about clocks and much more.
Aurelija M — Google review
A very nice place to learn about the history of watches. There is no similar museum anywhere in Europe. I definitely recommend visiting.
Juris O — Google review
The house has 9 rooms in total and different era/styles in different room telling you a story about evolution of measuring time. Can use tablet for prerecorded guiding. Great collection and friendly staff. It also houses some famous oil paintings from Ukraine for some time. Also dont miss cosy and wide backyard with some intresting stone work!
Ieva K — Google review
An amazing museum) What a wonderful trip to a world history of clocks! The museum features exhibits of clock and watches from the past to the present times. Here you can see the device with the help of which people around the world tried to measure the time. You start with the examples of clocks in the Ancient East tradition and head for the next exhibition where strange examples of clocks are shown. Some of these clock and watches look like a real masterpiece! The collection of clocks from European countries are really fantastic! Moreover, there are a nice space to spend time with your children in the inner courtyard. You should take a picture there. The best time for visiting the museum is May because of the magnificent views in the courtyard. Don't overlook this incredible museum!
Iryna P — Google review
Really enjoyed this museum. Great information, and had cards in english four items on display. We also had a little bonus as they had a separate room with some great paintings in it. Definitely would recommend checking it out.
MARYANN B — Google review
Fantastic and unique museum that takes you through the history of clocks 🕰️ ⏰ Starting from ancient clocks that utilised the elements like solar (sun for sun dials), water, fire and sand. I was amazed to discover that Egyptians were the first to create the sun dial and water clocks. You’ll see mechanical clocks, stopwatches, table clocks, pocket watches and even beautifully decorated Baroque and Art Nouveau clocks. Highly recommend it to learn more about the history of clocks, it’s fascinating 👍🏽👍🏽 The staff are also very friendly and will always help u find the clocks in the tablet audio guide 👍🏽👍🏽
Travis D — Google review
Really enjoyed this quirky, fabulous museum. Even the stained glass had references to time! Such a variety of clocks, from all over the world, telling the time in a myriad of ways. They are all well signed and displayed in such a beautiful building. Well worth a visit.

The Castle Museum in Klaipeda offers an immersive experience into the history of the city and its castle. It is located within two underground sections of the remaining structure, showcasing a variety of exhibits including medieval costumes, paintings, and photographs from different historical periods. Visitors can explore the development of Klaipeda through archaeological finds, documents, and ancient costumes on display. Additionally, art enthusiasts can also visit the Blacksmiths Museum and Clock Museum for insights into local craftsmanship.
So the museum is split into three distinct parts. The main building covers the time from the first settlement until the mid-18th century, if I remember correctly. The second part is from the mid-18th century until just about the beginning of WW2. The last part is from WW2 until its liberation. I can definitely recommend this museum, it has a lot of interactive media which will keep you entertained for hours. I also met the friendliest museum curator in the second exposition. Thank you so much for the awesome conversation.
Tiago G — Google review
There 3 different showings. The WW2 museum, a Davinci exhibition and the middle ages one. Each has it's own tickets. Kids or students get half price tickets which was nice. Not allot of artifacts, but a really good over view on the story of Klapedia. The big red castle was not open for viewings. Before going, look up the parking areas close to the castle.
Marwan A — Google review
Who are interested in history, will find plenty of stuff to browse through. Be aware that some spaces can have quite cold temperatures for the purpose of preserving the historic artifacts. Bring something warm to coat yourself in.
Alius N — Google review
A museum is built on the remains of the Klepeida castle. There is a model of the old city. This is an archaeological museum, the research done is very thorol and professional. Presented on the subjects of history, daily life in ancient times, goods, spices, professions, details of clothing, law, church, wars and conquests. The exhibits and information are very clear and the way they are presented is fascinating. Most of the museum is translated into English. Some are shown inside a bunker and the atmosphere is special. The place is clean, service and pleasant staff. On The outside looks simple, the inside is fascinating, worth a visit, fair price. We spent two and a half hours with teenagers
May A — Google review
Medieval Klaipėda was a small town. The ideas of the Reformation and the Renaissance gave a great impetus to the development of the city. The symbol of Renaissance Klaipėda is found in the castle from the 16th century. a gold ring with a jewel of a middle nobleman. The atmosphere of the townspeople's life and fashion are reflected in green glazed cobblestones, remains of shoes, household items, craftsman's work tools, coins, imported items. One of the most interesting exhibits is the 17th century. the layout of the second half of Klaipėda castle and city, created after analyzing archaeological, historical, cartographic, iconographic sources. The computer terminal installed in the castle museum allows visitors to independently obtain information on the history of Klaipėda.
Oksana O — Google review
We were unfortunately not able to buy tickets to get into the castle due to a (frankly) rude ticket agent. The museum wasn’t super busy, there was absolutely no line at the time, and we walked up with the necessary money in hand to pay for 4 tickets, but were refused service. Really not sure what could have caused her reactions, it was only about a minute total in interaction where she seemed extremely annoyed at our presence and repeatedly told us to go elsewhere. We were visiting as part of a cruise, so perhaps she was tired of all the English speaking tourists from the day? Whatever it was, we were obviously not welcome there, so we sadly just left. The castle is underwhelming from the outside, and we unfortunately were not able to explore inside. We had heard the museum was really cool, but there’s no way i can rate the experience we had higher than 1 star.
Tyler S — Google review
If you are visiting Klaipeda this museum will give you a good understanding of the city's history, it's growth and importance through time. Audio guide is included and is very good. Watch the film projected onto the back wall of the second room first, then follow the audio trail. A good 3-4 hours could be spent here. Highly recommended. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Great experience.

Nice museum to go during the rainy day, many displays about différent eras of Klaipeda history. I enjoyed seeing the story of Teutonic knights and Hansetic times. With your ticket you have an all day access to différent halls. Totally worth for the small ticket price

Smiltynės Beach in Klaipeda is a great spot for leisurely strolls and offers about 2 kilometers of pure sandy coastline. The beach also features a small hill that provides stunning views of the surroundings. Visitors can easily find their own secluded spot by moving around, and renting a bike is recommended for faster exploration. While the water may be cold, it's clean and suitable for sunbathing.
The beach is beautiful and clean, there is no trash or algae which makes for a great experience. Also the walk to it through the forest is amazing.

Klaipėda Sculpture Park, situated along the scenic Baltic Sea coastline, is a captivating outdoor gallery featuring over 100 sculptures by local and international artists. This serene environment offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in art amidst lush greenery. The park's unique history, built on the site of a former cemetery from the 1800s, adds an intriguing layer to its artistic charm.
A beautiful place to walk through and experience the peaceful setting of over 100 sculptures. They are fascinating, all in a modernist style and some very beautiful. There are also gravestones dotted around.

Anna K — Google review

J P — Google review
Must see! Such a great idea to have these sculptures in a public space, especially a park, where they mix with the trees, leaves, soil. My phone was full of photos after this walk 💓
Toto M — Google review
Today, the Klaipėda Sculpture Park features 116 sculptures of various themes, created by 67 sculptors during sculpture symposiums held in Smiltynė (1977–1991). These sculpture symposiums took place in the summer and were the most significant cultural initiative of that time—not only in the city but throughout the entire country. In 1986, the Klaipėda Sculpture Park was declared a natural monument of local significance. Each sculpture in the park tells its own story and carries a certain meaning, significance, or idea. Sculptures from the 19th–20th centuries can also be found in the park. The headstones from the first half of this period reflect the history of the city of Klaipėda. In the southern part of the park, after Lithuania regained its independence, some people whose relatives had been buried in these former cemeteries began to restore the monuments. People started bringing flowers to the park, and in some places, mounds and lit candles can be seen.
Oksana O — Google review
I loved this beautiful park , the trees are stunning and the sculptures are interesting
Jannelle S — Google review
Excellent spot to spend a few quiet hours walking in a green and inspiring environment. Could be a nice spot for a picnic, too. This park offers you more than a hundred spectacular stone sculptures to marvel at. Created decades ago, they’re as relevant and inspiring as they were back in the day. It’s a good place to be at on a truly hot day, too, as almost all sculptures are under giant beautiful trees of many species. If you enjoy art and nature, you can’t get much better than this.

Visitors can explore historical exhibits and aquariums showcasing a variety of marine life, including brightly-colored fish and intriguing crustaceans. The museum's dolphinarium presents entertaining shows featuring Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, Baltic seals, and Steller sea lions.
There's a lot of cool stuff to check out at this museum. The interactive exhibits are really fun, and they're great for kids and adults alike. Don't expect to see a ton of animals, though—it's not a zoo. But the aquariums are really nice, especially the tunnel with all the big sturgeons. You can start at the museum, then leave to see the dolphin show, and come back after. Just let them know at the gates and they'll give you a stamp on your hand.

I have to admit, given the hype, I was somewhat disappointed by the sea life expositions. I am no expert, so my impression might be wrong, but the seals, penguins and pelicans outside did not seem like having a good time and the spaces they have seemed rather dull. :/ The interior of the main building is quite pretty, the coral, shells and crustaceans exposition is very cool but I expected more live fishes in the later part. Some of the fish expositions were static figurines, a big part of the aquaria was river life which is still cool and I don't mind but it is a sea museum after all, the grand finale was the tunnel which even for me as an adult that's never seen one before was just alright but quite short and only filled with sturgeons. However, I didn't use it but I appreciate the amount of interactive stuff for children, I would have a blast if I was twenty years younger. The exterior spaces of the former fortress are also interesting to walk around. :) On the other hand, I enjoyed the naval expositions very much. Those I think are more targeted towards adults and children might get a bit bored, even though there still are some interactive features. These naval expositions are full of interesting items and information and I can sincerely recommend that part. There's also a small exhibition about noise pollution in the sea and Lithuanian military sea divers. Overall, I am bit conflicted. I will probably not visit again unless I have children of a suitable age with me but I also don't necessarily want to discourage anyone. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Outside of the museum, there are also ships that are visitable for free, the biggest one houses a small exposition. Those I would recommend either way.

One word: Awesome! A must-visit while you're in Klaipėda. Take a short ferry ride from the Old Ferry Terminal to Smiltynė — the museum is just a 15-minute walk from there. The Marine Museum and Aquarium are both fantastic, and with separate tickets, you can also enjoy the impressive Dolphin Show. A great half-day trip that’s fun, educational, and memorable. Highly recommended!

The Lithuanian Sea Museum is absolutely amazing! The exhibits are beautifully presented, from marine life and aquariums to historical displays about ships and sea exploration. The dolphin and sea lion shows are a real highlight - fun, well-organized, and educational. The museum is clean, family-friendly, and easy to explore, with plenty of information in multiple languages. The location by the sea is stunning, and the ferry ride adds to the adventure. A must-visit for families, nature lovers, and anyone visiting Klaipeda!

Definitely worth a stop. In the outside area one can see penguins and seals. Top floor of the aquarium has exhibitions of various sea creatures. The middle section has river and sea fish, and on the bottom floor one can go through a tunnel underneath the water pool and see all the gigantic fish! Really cool! We also stayed to see the dolphin and sea lion show. It’s about 30 minutes long which fits perfect with the ferry departure time back to Klaipeda. It went well to buy the tickets on spot. No queues.

I visited the beach in Melnarage in winter. The weather was mild, with no snow or ice—perfect for a peaceful walk. The beach looked beautiful. Nearby, there’s a sauna and a bar where you can warm up and grab a bite, which adds to the convenience. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quiet getaway, especially with these amenities close by. Amateur Night! Complete shambles! My tickets were uploaded to Apple Wallet like all my tickets, boarding cards etc. Oh we can’t scan that we need a pdf! What’s the point of sending uploadable tickets if you can’t scan them!! I had to search for email with tickets from September and finally entered only to be told I needed to queue and change my tickets as concert sales were vey low!!! I especially picked end of aisle tickets at the back but, of course, they didn’t have comparable seats so we ended up in middle of row. “You’re sitting next to each other” staff said as if they were doing me a big favour 🤷‍♂️ This is unprofessional and unacceptable from a so-called major venue. Wild horses couldn’t drag me back to this place!!!

We really enjoyed it. The show was incredible! And very informative. The gorgeous large fish at the 0 floor were spectacular. And local Lithuanian fish was a nice touch i dont think i have seen any so close up in my life. Was one of the highlights of our trip to Nida. We did it on the way back home because of the entryfee for Neringa. Its definitely worth the time and money. Its very nicely renewed. I really liked the gifth shop! Very cool and modern souvenirs. We bought quite a few. Definitely a place to visit 😌

Wow!!!! Awesome!!! Must visit while you are in Klaipeda. 30 minutes show and it's worth it. Take a ferry (old ferry) to Smiltiney and it's around 1.2 km; can be reached by walk in 15-20 minutes. But tickets, students discount also available. And enjoy the show!!!
Subhra K — Google review
Dolphin show was amazing and we all loved it. I advise to book the tickets in advance as they might be gone if visiting in summer. The actual sea museum annoyed us. We had a baby in a pram, and the lifts are positioned in the way that meant we always had to go against the flow of the crowd and then turn around and come back to the same elevator to go to another level. Only to face the same issue again. We ended up seeing the exposition twice, and itwouldn't have been the worst thing on a slow day, but it was crazy busy. It was not easy to understand how the flow worked either due to lack of signage. The last stop of the tour was a shop but there was no lift to get there and we had to take the stairs, to only later realise that there was an enty point from the outside also. Once outside, we were looking around, and the toddler got told off for stepping on a grass in the middle of the courtyard, yet we could not see a sign prohibiting stepping on. I mean, all in all, great half a day. Kids loved to see the dolphins and mini exposition of ships and old houses on the way there ( leave yourself a good 30-40 minutes to do it). However, the disregard to pram and disabled access location was obvious. The main courtyard as well as other exposition were paved in cobbles making access difficult. I would come and see the dolphin show again, not too sure about the museum because of the access issues 😕
Simona T — Google review
Very bad place. It's fun to watch dolphins swim through the glass. But the dolphin program is just awful, it's hard to stay all time. The kids are screaming because that awful video all over the wall is a stupid "museum" advertisement with a completely tragic visual. The kids aren't looking at the dolphins, but at a big tasteless, bright screen with subtitles in English and russian. You're using the enemy's language, maybe you should think about it? Why does a bad, unprofessional video drown out the dolphins, why does such noise come from that screen, why is it so bright, after all, children came to see the dolphins, not your ads. Aren't there young talented people who would create a normal, calm, quiet video like in Scandinavia. It's awful. It's completely soviet-era.

Battery Memel Nord, also known as Kukuliškių- Karklės baterija, is a well-preserved Nazi German military installation located 1 km north of Giruliai. Visitors can freely explore the extensive bunkers and experience a museum showcasing period images, dishes, and weapons.
Beautiful place to enjoy sea, beach and nature around. Not as popular as Palanga or Nida so it's less populated by noisy people.

One step into the fortifications hidden in the dunes and you are frozen by the cold atmosphere of a military conflict. Step aboard the Ship-museum "Sūduvis" in Klaipeda for a unique maritime adventure. Housed in a real ship, this quirky museum offers an immersive experience as you explore the deck, cabins, and more. Feel like a captain as you "drive" the ship and get hands-on with all the equipment. Whether you're interested in naval history, maritime life, or simply looking for an engaging museum experience, "Sūduvis" has something to offer.
Quite possibly one of the best museums in Lithuania (if you're into military stuff, that is). Completely authentic Lindau-class minehunter warship built in West Germany in the late 50s. Most of the original stuff is preserved, but also has some modern navigation and other digital systems retrofitted. Very, and I mean VERY interesting stuff. Was in use with Lithuanian Navy until a few years ago and is in the same condition it was in when still in service.
D S — Google review
Former German navy ship. The ship is wooden, does not attract metal, which protects it from mines. Currently, ships of a similar type are built from plastic or carbon fiber. The ship has preserved authentic details - brass handles, mahogany details, six decades old equipment, interior. This is a opportunity to get to know the Navy from the inside. This ship is placed just in the right place, you couldn’t miss or pass by without coming to explore.

(Translated by Google) I would like to sincerely thank Artūras Montvydas from the Garant Boat store in Klaipėda. His professionalism and experience were truly amazing – I received not only excellent advice on equipment, but also very important advice on correct sailing. It was thanks to him that I managed to avoid large fines, because he paid attention to details that I would not have noticed myself. Artūras also helped me choose the right engine covers that will protect my boat engine from weather conditions and extend its service life. It is clear that he sincerely cares about the client, not just about sales. I highly recommend contacting Artūras – he is a person who understands his job, is able to explain clearly and always advises in a way that the client remains satisfied and safe.

If you're looking for a fun-filled adventure in Klaipeda, look no further than Jumpland, the newly opened entertainment and trampoline park! This vibrant destination is perfect for families, offering an expansive 660 square meters of bouncing bliss. Whether it's rain or shine, Jumpland provides a fantastic indoor playground where kids can jump to their hearts' content. Beyond trampolines, there are numerous attractions that promise excitement and joy for all ages.
(Translated by Google) This is our first visit, but definitely not our last. Very helpful staff, everything was explained clearly and kindly. It's good that we bought tickets for the whole day, because the kids didn't want to leave even after 4 hours of playing. There is definitely enough space, there are not only trampolines, so everyone will find something suitable for themselves. We will definitely come back!

If you’re seeing this, you’ve probably seen other reviews, and mine is no different. The staff is extra rude, we went here to celebrate my friends birthday and honestly we would have had more fun at home. We can’t do anything, we can’t sit, lay, or just hang around in general. We were planning to stay for 1 hour - turns out the minimum time you need to pay for is 2 hours. We left after around 50 minutes, disappointed.

(Translated by Google) The employee greeted us very kindly, with a smile. She offered to look at the birthday rooms, the environment. However, when we went to look at the rooms, we were met by another employee. Who introduced herself as the park's activities manager. She started talking about the forms, that we needed forms filled out by all the children's parents. I said that I would not collect forms from all the parents. Because there would not be many parents, I would basically bring the children and leave them. Then she started talking in an unpleasant, strict tone that their rules are this and that, that she is the park manager and I must provide forms from all the parents. After this conversation with the center manager, there was no desire to even solve the problem or look for ways to solve it. She simply categorically demanded the forms. Instead of pleasant communication, I felt pressure and instructions. All the information was provided rudely and impolitely. As if we were not in a place for children's entertainment, but in an institution with strict rules. We were very disappointed.

(Translated by Google) Very poor service. The employees are angry and rude. They are not able to explain the information nicely. And if a child comes near them crying, they would at least ask if they need help. But no, zero attention. I do not recommend going there because you will be disappointed with the service. There is no respect for the customer, and even less for the children. (Original) Labai prastas aptarnavimas. Darbuotojos piktos ir nemandagios. Gražiai nesugeba išaiškinti info. (Translated by Google) I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Klaipėda Jumpland! We celebrated my daughter's birthday, so the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness - it's really clean and tidy, if they continue to maintain such a standard of order, I think there will be people coming back. Another thing is clear instructions and supervisors doing their job, really monitoring whether those rules are followed, so that everyone stays as safe as possible, there is no chaos and confusion. I don't know if the number of children playing together is somehow limited or not, but there weren't many of them during our celebration. So, we were satisfied and I think we will come back. (Original) Likau maloniai nustebinta pirmu apsilankymu Klaipėdos Jumpland'e!

We will definitely be back again - I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and active activity. (Original) Labai patiko „Jumpland“ Akropolyje! Nestled just beyond the Birza bridge, you'll encounter a striking monument known as the Arch, which pays homage to united Lithuania. Erected in 2003, this impressive structure features two distinct columns: a vibrant red one representing Little Lithuania and a somber gray column symbolizing Greater Lithuania. The upper section of the monument appears to be torn away, poignantly reflecting on the lost territories of the Kingdom.
Quick service. Very helpful. Could be more careful with plastic hub caps as they cracked my original ones that are not available to be replaced.

(Translated by Google) Don't be fooled by a good Google search rating. This company provides services related to the sale and repair of tires/rims, but also provides auto repair services. All those good comments and ratings came from people who were just buying or changing tires. When it comes to auto repair, they are tragically incompetent and super unpleasant people. You will not find good reviews about them as an auto repair service. I would also suggest looking at what people write about them on "Rekvizitai.lt", as well as their Facebook page. You will be fooled, humiliated, psychological violence will be used, when all the garages will run around you and exert maximum pressure, both with their language and their behavior, so that you can get out of there as soon as possible without asking the additional question why the service was not completed and why I now have more problems with the car than before visiting this pseudo-service. And in the end, the car will have to be taken back from the service with the help of the police, because this is exactly the work ethic promoted by this service (Original) Neapsigaukite geru įvertinimu Google paieškoje.

The Klaipėda Gas Factory, established in November 1861, marked a significant milestone in the city's economic revival. Originally designed to produce gas solely for lighting purposes, it later expanded its operations to supply fuel for stoves and industrial enterprises. Among the original 28 buildings of the factory, three remarkable structures have withstood the test of time: a charming two-story red brick administrative building that housed the director's apartment and two distinctive octagonal gas storage facilities.

The streets of Klaipėda have only been illuminated since 1838; before that, the entire city would be plunged into darkness at nightfall. After a brief visit by the King of Prussia in 1807–1808, some street lamps were lit in certain places, but it wasn’t until 1838 that Klaipėda was truly bathed in night-time lights. Natural gas had been used for lighting since the 18th century, but it was only between 1921 and 1923 that a railway was built to facilitate coal transportation. The gas plant marked the beginning of the city’s industrial zones—hydrotechnical structures and various utility buildings soon appeared following the plant’s construction. The industrial complex consisted of fourteen different buildings: gas chambers, warehouses, distillation towers, residential quarters, and more. In 1867, a new storage facility was built next to the old one, where gas was stored in metal chambers that were reinforced with a stone wall. These three red-brick buildings still stand today.
