El Nido in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in El Nido, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
El Nido is known for its dramatic limestone cliffs, emerald lagoons, and clear turquoise waters scattered across Bacuit Bay. Island-hopping tours take you to hidden beaches, snorkeling spots with coral reefs, and tranquil coves accessible only by boat. The area also offers renowned diving sites, including steep walls and rich marine life, plus long, scenic stretches of sand such as Nacpan Beach. While the town itself is modest, it serves as a convenient base for exploring one of the Philippines’ most photographed coastal landscapes.
With favorites like Taraw Cliff, Fat Choy Chinese El Nido, and Gibu's Restaurant Bulalo Plaza, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Habibi Restaurant & Shisha Cafe and Osaka Castle El Nido so you can get the best taste of El Nido while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Nacpan Beach, situated near El Nido in Palawan, Philippines, is a picturesque and serene destination that offers a peaceful retreat in a coastal paradise. Accessible by a 45-minute motorbike ride through dirt roads, this seven-kilometer stretch of undeveloped white sand beach meets the sky-blue transparent waters, creating an idyllic tropical setting.
Beautiful beach which is around 35 minutes drive from city of El Nido. Lovely sand, nice (clean) and warm water, and a lot of space to relax, so it's not overcrowded like some other beaches. If You are in El nido for few days, it's a must!
Martin K — Google review
Lovely beach just 30 min from city center, perfect for walking trough all the beautiful palm trees that surround it or either have a swim or just relax with a drink. There’s a volleyball net at the entrance and often people playing to join or in the right day you can do some bodysurf with the waves
Nico M — Google review
Clean, Pristine, and Priceless. Nacpan Beach truly deserves its recognition as one of the world's top 10 beaches. I was appreciative to witness its stunning beauty firsthand. The wider beach landscape, complemented by gorgeous turquoise waters and exceptionally fine sand, creates a perfect tropical escape. The experience is further enhanced by the incredibly hospitable local folks. It is a must-visit destination that is well-deserved to be recommended to any traveler.

Definitely one of my favorite beaches I’ve been to!!! The water was so calm and clear. Nice place to just chill and relax without the crowd.

The most beautiful beach I've seen in my life. Cristal clean water, long sand beach and a lot of bars for cocktails. Definitely one of my favorite.

We went to El Nido and rented a bike going to Nacpan Beach — the ride was scenic, and the beach was absolutely worth it! If you’re planning your trip, make sure to book with Travel and Tours by Shai. Super smooth transactions and hassle-free arrangements! ✨💕
Shai — Google review
One of the loveliest beaches I’ve visited in the Philippines. Water is super clear. Very long so plenty of space and doesn’t feel crowded. There are day beds you can rent ranging in price from stupid amounts like Angkla’s price of 3000 pesos (1000 for the two beds, then 1000 each on top of this as you have to buy food from them as well) to 500 for two with no other extra requirements on top. Was a bit of an effort to get to from El Nido town, but luckily we rented a bike and it took about 40 mins. Roads getting closer to the beach aren’t particularly great (super muddy or full of pot holes).
Rachel R — Google review
Such a nice stretch of high quality white sand beach with barely any crowd. Top notch for swimming with calm, warm, shallow waters and a spot for Turtle hatchlings during its season. The best part is the view of the sunsets!!!

Cauayan Island Resort

Resort hotel
Cauayan Island Resort is a luxurious retreat nestled in Bacuit Bay, offering a private getaway surrounded by verdant landscapes. The resort features various villa options, each uniquely designed with indigenous Philippine materials to provide an authentic local experience.
This place is paradise 🤩 my husband and I spent our honeymoon days in El Nido here and we 100% recommend it. They offer private and group tours. The private island hopping tour was definitely a highlight, they took us to all the spots before any crowds would get there. Even the group tour was amazing with only 3 other guests joining us. The boat was spacious and comfortable. The food on the tours was outstanding (we ordered the Philippine delights). There are a lot of things to do and see already in the resort. The spa has a beautiful view and while you are getting your back massage you can see the marine life through windows in the floor. They have friendly staff and the facilities are well maintained. Overall perfect place for honeymooners.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE this resort. The employees are nothing short of amazing! Shoutout to Gabriel, Ariel, Captain Ray, Arman, Raymond, Nick, and Jay! Such amazing people and made our stay so enjoyable and catered to us so well! We stayed in the sunrise Cauayan pool villa overlooking the water and the villas. It was absolutely beautiful! We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The views are absolutely amazing. Breakfast is included with a buffet and a few menu options! We also booked at the spa which was absolutely lovely and relaxing! Shoutout to Mary Jane! Our only issue was the boat shuttle services as they only ran at certain times and they would get full pretty quick so you would have to book a private boat shuttle through the front desk for an extra fee. So you’re basically stuck there in your private island if you don’t get on the shuttle which is not the worst thing.

We stayed in the water villa for two nights and be deeply in love with Cauayan Island Resort. Every detail reflects the team's dedication and a diligently sense of aesthetics.🌺💓 The water villa offers great views and privacy. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves is truly relaxing. We can even watch marine life right from our deck—baby sharks will occasionally swim beneath the villa. We also booked a spa, where a picturesque ocean view unfolds right front my eyes, the scents of the various ingredients were amazing. Thearapist Mary Grace was professional and thoughtful. People here are always smiling and hospitable. Restaurant and bar offered a wide variety of food and drinks, all of which were above average in taste. The housekeeping is also highly efficient. Thanks to every member of Cauayan Island Resort, this journey has definitely become one of the most wonderful memories of mine. If there is a paradise on Earth, it must be here.🌊💛

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Cauayan Island Resort was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment my son and I set foot on the island, we were greeted with such genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. Every detail, from check-in to departure, was handled with care and professionalism. Front Desk – Warm, welcoming, and always attentive to our needs Restaurant & Bar – Every meal was delightful, served with kindness and a smile. Spa – Not only did the spa provide complete relaxation, but during my fever, the staff kindly cared for me and helped bring my body temperature down so I could recover and enjoy my stay. Nurse – I’m truly grateful for the nurse who provided me with medicine at the right time, showing genuine concern and compassion. Beyond the excellent service, the beauty of the island is unforgettable. Imagine lying down, looking out at crystal-clear waters, and spotting baby sharks swimming — it was a once-in-a-lifetime sight that left us in awe. To all the incredible staff - Frontdesk- Krem, Joy, Lala, Vincent, our bellman is Jay, Gab, and Mark Resto- Jel, Danica, Arvin, Reymond, Karl & Arman Bar- Nick, JC, Geo and Red, all Chef thank you for your kindness, care, and dedication. You made our stay a remarkable memory we will treasure forever. Cauayan Island is not just a resort. It is a sanctuary of beauty, wellness, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended 👌

The is place is paradise for newly arrival, overpriced moderate food not even good Shame to this 5 star resort. Very good resort but 1 stat food, I had the beef bulalo it was taste like chicken, and no sweet corn. I ask the waiter to ask the chef but nobody responds, i had also the sisig and it was burn, the taste not closed to sisig, its like a stir fry pork. Change the name. beautiful place but moderate food. The bar staff are very friendly thanks.

My partner and I recently stayed at your resort to celebrate our honeymoon. While we truly appreciated the kindness and effort of your staff, our overall experience was unfortunately disappointing considering the premium price we paid. We were assigned to the Lagoon Villa, located above what was described as a lagoon pool. Unfortunately, the water looked stagnant and full of mosquitoes, making it impossible to sit outside and enjoy the balcony. When I approached the front desk, the only solution offered was an electric mosquito repellent for the room even though the issue was outside. As we wanted to enjoy our honeymoon without discomfort, we decided to upgrade to another villa. However, we were charged an additional 2,000 PHP per night, despite the price difference shown on your website being much lower. We felt that instead of understanding our situation and helping us find a fair solution, the focus was more on collecting extra payment than on ensuring guest satisfaction. In addition, there were very few lounge chairs around the pool, and we were informed only upon arrival that we could not use the beach chairs, as they were reserved for beachfront villas. It was disappointing to be at a beach resort and still have nowhere comfortable to sit by the sea. Lastly, the prices for food and drinks were extremely high even by luxury standards. It gave the impression that guests are being taken advantage of, as there are no other options on the island. Even bottled water was sold for several times the regular price. We had high expectations for a relaxing and memorable honeymoon, but sadly, the experience did not match the cost. We hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider offering fairer pricing and more thoughtful guest care in the future.

Cauayan Island Resort is an incredible place to stay. Everything about the resort is wonderful, but especially the staff. I have never stayed somewhere with such friendly, kind, and helpful staff. Also I would highly recommend an island hoping tour and the spa is really amazing. Once again, the staff make this resort special. Would highly recommend.
Ed T — Google review
While Cauayan Resort has the makings of a 5-star establishment, it falls significantly short of being worth its exorbitant price tag. The resort's stunning location on a private island creates a captive audience, which they exploit with monopolistic and unfair pricing. The food, for instance, is not just overpriced; it's priced at a level that feels like a shakedown – easily five times what it should be, and more expensive than dining in New York City. The massage services are similarly overpriced and thoroughly unremarkable. The rooms are beautiful, no doubt. I initially booked a Lagoon Villa and later upgraded to a Water Villa, which was supposed to be over the water. It was, but only during high tide, which felt deceptive. Breakfast was generally tasty, with one glaring exception: the bread. A wide variety was offered, but every single type had the consistency and taste of rubber. In conclusion, while the setting is idyllic, the resort's pricing strategy on food and services is predatory. This, combined with the other issues, makes it impossible to recommend. You can find better value and a more honest luxury experience elsewhere.

Lio Beach in El Nido, Palawan is a stunning tropical paradise with palm-fringed shores and upscale resorts. It's known for water sports, surfing, and kayaking at Big Lagoon. The beach is secluded, clean, and offers a serene atmosphere with the sound of waves gently crashing on the sand. Seda Lio features a large pool overlooking the beach where visitors can enjoy cocktails from the pool bar while lounging in sunbeds.
The kind of beach that makes you forget what day it is. We got here by renting a tricycle — a bit pricey, but totally worth it! The water is even clearer than Nacpan, and the vibe is way more relaxing. We loved it so much that we came back for a second day. The beach beds are free, the sand is soft and silky, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you ever get hungry. Everything just feels calm and comforting — the perfect place to unwind. If you’re after a chill beach day, I’d pick this over Nacpan or Vanilla any time. Pro tip: Check Flightradar while you’re here — watching planes arrive and depart from Lio while relaxing by the beach is surprisingly cool!

Lio Beach is hands-down the best beach in El Nido. The area is beautifully maintained — clean sand, clear water, and a relaxing atmosphere that instantly puts you in vacation mode. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, so you’ll never run out of good food options, and the overall vibe is just perfect. Chill, safe, and well-designed without feeling crowded. If you want the ideal blend of comfort and natural beauty, Lio Beach is the place to be.

Really lovely beach with surfboards for hire! No coral or rocks or any scary fish ahha. Lovely beach bars too and you can see the planes fly!

the best beach in el nido! by far! everything is free: showers, sunbeds, parking. you can rent a surf board for 500php, the conditions for surfing are ideal! there’s fun, big waves. an area for surfers is separated from normal swimmers by buoys. there’s also planes and helicopters landing and taking off right next to the beach about once an hour. a lot of food options, but I found it quite expensive. free wifi didn’t work.

Italian restaurant
Trattoria Altrove is a popular dining spot in El Nido, known for serving some of the best wood oven pizza in the Philippines. The restaurant, located on Calle Hama, is often packed with guests eager to savor their delicious Italian fare. With a cozy and bustling atmosphere, it's recommended to arrive early or be prepared for a wait. Despite occasional power supply issues turning meals into candlelit dinners, the quality of their pizza and pasta remains consistently good.
Amazing service and best lasagna I’ve had in a long time!! Even better than some I’ve had in italy. The place was super clean, gorgeous ocean view and the staff were amazing. I cant recommend this place enough!

Everything we ordered here was so delicious! We tried the Panchetta con Tartufo and Quattro Formaggi pizzas, recommended by the staff, and they did not disappoint. The salad and drinks we ordered were also really good. While the food took some time to be served, it was definitely worth the wait. We were seated around 5:20pm, and the restaurant began to fill up around 6:00pm. Staff were pretty friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great dining experience with a nice view.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Trattoria Altrove, El Nido, Palawan, and it was truly a memorable experience. The ambiance was warm and cozy, with a relaxing beachfront view that made the evening extra special. The rustic design and soft lighting created the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. The food was excellent, their pizza and pasta were authentic, flavorful, and served fresh. Portions were generous, and the quality exceeded our expectations. Despite the busy night, the service was smooth and efficient. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and added to the overall positive experience. Celebrating such a special occasion here made it unforgettable. If you’re visiting El Nido and want a place with delicious Italian food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere, Trattoria Altrove is a must-visit. Highly recommended for special occasions, couples, families, and friends.

Went there on Nov 29, 2024. Food quality : Solid 5 star food quality. Nothing to really pick a fault on. (unlike that garbage Italian Pizza house "toto e Peppino in Alona, Bohol) Service : Pretty fast and good as well. However, I asked for some house water and it was not served. Cant even give some water? That is questionable.. Also the table mat, mine had a hole. They shouldnt use it. Lastly, they accept only cash that means, the owner will do a huge tax evation which i also understand.. Overally, great food.

Really like the pizza here we had the 4 cheese and we customised one with pepperoni, ham and garlic. Don’t forget to try the chilli oil
Kealan W — Google review
The mystery of the crowd was solved once we tasted their wood-fired pizzas—absolutely amazing! The cozy and inviting dining room only added to the experience, complemented by the nice staff. Highly recommend giving it a try! We opted for the carbonara and Mediterranean pizza, which were so fulfilling that we struggled to finish our halves. But they were simply too delicious to leave behind!

Next to our Joyful Guesthouse, which came highly recommended. Noticing that most of their customers were foreigners, we decided to try it on our third night in El Nido. Our group of 15 found it easily accessible. I ordered pizza margherita and pasta gamberi e olio d'oliva. The pasta was decent, though a bit pricey. The pizza was also okay, but it will be better if you put salt, pepper, and pepper/spicy oil. Thank you.
RP A — Google review
A little too expensive, well probably because of the logistics, but of course it's pugon-baked. The food is great and the view especially if you're seated right at the entrace. It's also situated almost at the center so it's easy to find and accessible. The thing is, the road outside is filled with puddles of water especially after a rain. But while the food is great, nothing really special, just one of the best you can find in the area. Service is ok and of course this being pugon-baked, be ready to wait for at about half an hour on off peak hours. We had an early dinner so the sun was still up but they were playing house music while children were playing. The music just doesn't vibe. And yes, as of this writing, El Nido still haven't fixed the drinking water problem.

If you're a foodie looking for an adventure without breaking the bank, consider exploring the diverse array of Asian restaurants in Los Angeles. From Thai spots like Bua Siam to Vietnamese options at KP's Vietnamese-American Deli, there's something for every palate. For those craving Nepali cuisine, Katmandu Kitchen in West LA offers unique dishes like yak and spinach lamb. Meanwhile, American eateries like The Stand and The Counter specialize in classic comfort foods.
Great food! Everything we had was good and plated well. Satay was flavorful, tom yum perfectly spicy, fried rice was seasoned well! Mango sticky rice was also very good. Staff are trained well, accommodating, friendly, and polite. Plus the view of the beach is amazing (we ate at the balcony.)
Trish S — Google review
Good vibes but not enough to justify its unreasonable price range, small serving, and quite frankly bland, poor excuse to call it Thai food. The red curry was spicy, quite watery but sorely lacked flavor. Tom yum was sour although lacking the authentic galanggal flavor- hence becoming much closer to sinigang than actual Tom yum. Thai milk tea was, you guessed it, bland as well. Sorry, please do better.
Diego G — Google review
Perfect dinner in El Nido. The food is just great Thai food, as we experienced in the most authentic places while in Thailand. Short waiting time by putting ourselves on the list - 20 min - during which we just took a stroll in town and came back to a free outdoor table. Great Pad Thai, great green Curry, tasty Mango sticky rice. Do yourselves a favour and make sure you go there at least once during your stay!
Federico V — Google review
Definitely recommend getting a reservation. We managed to get in (two of us) without one, but were only given one hour to eat. Really nice food! Limited in options as someone who eats a lot of Thai food, but the things they do make are delicious. Red curry is amazing. Sort of expensive but it is quality food. And they accept card.

Really tasty food with very healthy portion sizes. Cashew chicken was 5/5, portion size was very big Chicken satay 5/5, I literally spooned the left over sauce into my mouth Massaman was 3/5, tasty and good portion size but not authentic Thai taste. Too much star anise used

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in El Nido. We ordered green and red curry with chicken. The red curry is very spicy and tastes great. The place is not very big so if you have a big group, you might find it difficult to settle at a table, but for small groups it is great. The quality of the food is great.

Great place and overlooks the water. Just annoying though with the close proximity of people sitting with their back to your table and Flicking there dandruff filled hair onto your food. They shouldnt sit people like this. Kinda annoying as hell. Other than that it was a good place. Just be wearing of girls with long hair with their backs to your table.

Habibi Restaurant & Shisha cafe is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal or relax with some shisha in the outdoor seating. The restaurant has a full bar and serves wine and beer, which makes it THE perfect place to celebrate any special occasion!
Had the squid adobo, was excellent. But the shisha was the best part. Also, some staff seemed to risk their lives putting up the window barrier when the storm grew. If the weather was nicer, this would be the perfect spot to have dinner and watch the sunset.

Good food, wonderful view of the beach and the harbour, especially at sunset time.. Food was either really good or average based on the dishes we ordered between the 6 of us that visited. The servers are super friendly with quick service, the sheesha can definately be improved upon. I would say this restuarant is one of the few good ones on the beachfront compared to Other places we visited for dinner, lunch etc.

Great location and view but poor service and food. One of the salads "was not available" because one of the ingredients was missing. We couldn't get the salad anyway, the waitress recommended this salad instead.

The only shisha place in El Nido Located right on the beach above submariner diving center. Location 5/5 the view is amazing and relaxing as you can see the El Nido beach with all the boats in the shore. Food 4/5 food is above average The jalapeño stuffed with cheese was really good but spicy for those who can’t handle spice , they have wings, pizzas, pastas, kebabs to choose from.. I enjoyed this place more for sheesha drinks and appetizers. Also they give 15% discount if you use scuba diving tours from submariner diving. Good place to relax after a day tour Location is great as you can hit the bar right after you finish the day trip at elnido.

The food ir very tasty, especially the burgers, and tempura shirmps that was a huge plate of 200 grams. Also, they make delicious coctails. The portions are big, and not expensive. Although, the shisha is very average. Despite of that we had a great time there on the shore of the sea. 😊 also, the entrence is on the side of the sea, not the street, no clear signs, so it was difficult to find.
Indre V — Google review
The only reason one works really go to this place is for the sheesha. The food is very average. For a Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant, the hummus was barely consumable. The cocktail was extra strong and the drinks were too strong too. The stuffed jalapenos were totally worth it though. All in all, the place is good to chill by the beach and have a good sheesha.

Osaka Castle in El Nido is a Japanese restaurant located at the entrance of the village, sharing space with other eateries. The restaurant offers a variety of Japanese dishes such as sushi, donburi, and ramen that are known for their delicious and fresh flavors. The service is efficient and attentive. The seating area includes both indoor and outdoor options.
I think, this is one of the best restaurants in El Nido. I love Japanese food and the food was amazing. If I go to El Nido again, I definitely go here again. It is good to sit on the balcony and eat your food while watching the pedestrians down.
Özgü Ö — Google review
We always make it a point to visit this place whenever we're in El Nido, and the food keeps getting better with each visit. However, it's worth noting that there's no longer any air conditioning, and it can get uncomfortably hot—especially since the seating is close to the open kitchen. Hopefully, they consider making some improvements to the space. Also, just a bit of advice for foreign visitors: please don’t be quick to blame restaurants for food poisoning. The tap water in El Nido is not sanitary, and even using it to brush your teeth or rinse in the shower can cause issues. That’s likely the source—not the food.
Martin N — Google review
This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in El Nido with very tasty food and great service. We had ramen and beef gyu don, and both were great. The staff are trained well, and you are taken good care of. The space is small. The balcony has some counter sitting area, which is nice. When you go there, be mindful of the small steps on the stairs going up.

I ordered The Ramen and it was just okay, nothing particularly special. The soup was quite bland, and although there were condiments available like ground pepper, salt, soy sauce, and chili powder, they didn’t really enhance the flavor. On a positive note, the ramen noodles were good and cooked well. Overall, it was a decent meal.

They honestly have the best tsukemen!! the soup is rich and perfectly thick, just the way I like it. Can’t wait for them to reopen so I can go back. Just a note: if you’re sensitive to salt, this might not be for you

We had the gyoza and ramen and it was absolutely fantastic. As a big ramen enthusiast I can easily say that this ramen is up to par with some of the best places I‘ve been to in Japan. Really tasty and really good service!

The Gyūdon was perfect. The meat is soft and tender. Big servings and worth the price. I almost didn’t finish it because I was full halfway through. Best spot is the terrace. Inside the restaurant looks good, but the AC is broken.

The Ramen, damn, the best one I had in long time. Can’t say much about anything else. Nice design. Good communication. Great food.

Mandarin restaurant
Barbecue area
A restaurant specializing in authentic Chinese cuisine, Fat Choy Chinese El Nido is located in a beautiful white cove in Lio, about 15 minutes north from the town proper. The restaurant has been consistently rated as one of the best mandarin restaurants on Palawan Island and offers both lunch and dinner options with prices starting at around P350 ($7).
Solid Chinese joint right next to Lio Beach! The fried tofu itself didn’t quite live up to my expectations, but the sauce was delicious, as well as every other dish! I would’ve happily gone again, pricing wasn’t even too bad considering the location. The eggplant and pork was especially tasty. If you’re checking out Lio Beach (which you should, there are dank sun lounge chairs, great sand, fewer people, and a sick sunset view), Fat Chou is the surefire way to go.

Really good taste of the food, service attentive and friendly. This prices are just for tourists not for locals, and they charge you 10% service fee on the bill. For me not understandable , we are not in Miami Beach but in El Nido. This effect cause the 4 star rating. All this area is nice and the structure and pics of the card is really nice done.

The food was amazing. Didn't expect that quality in a "wanna be resort" area. Probably the best restaurant in the area and the best Chinese-Taiwanese in El Nido.

Shakes are delicious. It’s a bit overpriced. We’ve ordered some chicken with rice and meat wasn’t boneless which is not good for this kind of food. Part of wings and etc..:

Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach is a casual hostel located directly on the stunning Nacpan Beach, offering rustic dorms and private huts. The hostel provides a lively atmosphere with daily social activities, spacious communal areas, and an on-site bar with events. While it's a bit far from El Nido town, it offers everything needed on-site including good food at reasonable prices. The beachfront location allows guests to enjoy crystal-clear water and breathtaking sunsets.
Absolutely loved our stay at Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by James, who was incredibly welcoming and set the tone for an amazing stay. The atmosphere was full of good vibes, with tons of fun games and social activities that made it super easy to meet other travelers. 😍 We really appreciated the individual bathrooms — such a nice touch that added to the overall comfort. The food was also delicious, with plenty of options. Massive thanks to James and the rest of the Mad Monkey staff for making our stay so memorable. 🙌🏝️

Mad Monkey El Nido hostel, was a great stay experience! The location is insanely beautiful, literally on the Napcan beach. The service was great, and the people working there are very warmhearted. Also, their cocktail and food selection is very enjoyable. Not to mention, their cabana rooms are such a vibe, and make you want to live on an island forever. It’s a very social hostel with many activities and opportunities to mingle. I will be coming back for sure :)!

We had an amazing stay! It was low season so pretty quiet but all the staff made us feel so welcome and we had a great time with them! Absolutely stunning location right on one of the most amazing beaches I’ve ever been. I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Amazing location. Sadly it wasn’t crowded at all when I want there but im sure if its full Booked the plage would be different in high season. Its hard to get there if you have your own motorcycle or scooter, really narrow trails as there is no main road to access the hostel. I strongly recommend getting there by the beach, as shown in my video, its legal to ride as fast as you can in this beach! Go get it tiger

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mad Monkey Nacpan – Tropics, music & barefoot vibes Coming from New Caledonia, we’re used to tropical heat, sunsets and beach life — but Mad Monkey Nacpan still gave us something special 🌴 Right on one of the most beautiful beaches around, this place is all about good vibes, simple moments, and awesome people. We were lucky to be there for karaoke night, and it turned into a full-on free concert under the stars. So much fun, everyone singing and dancing — no need to know anyone, the energy brings you together naturally 🎤🌙 The staff is super chill, always smiling and ready to help without ever being pushy. You really feel like you’re part of a beach community. Now, just a couple of tropical tips: No AC, but hey — we’re used to that kind of heat 😉 A few sand bugs around, so bring your repellent just in case! But honestly, that’s all part of the raw, barefoot beach life. If you're looking to disconnect, meet beautiful souls, and dance in the sand, Mad Monkey Nacpan is calling.
Megan L — Google review
My stay at Mad Monkey Nacpan was truly unforgettable. The location, atmosphere, and vibe were incredible, and what made it even more special was meeting Shanel. She was so nice, helpful, and welcoming from the very start, making sure I had everything I needed. We connected so well that we’re still talking even after my stay — and I’m happy to say we’ve actually become friends. Can’t wait to come back!
Rediet M — Google review
One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, one of the worst services I have ever had. No hot water. No hair drier. Dirty towels. The staff is highly unmotivated. 40 minutes to get some scrambled eggs (multiple times and with no other customer). Rooms are poorly cured, energy outlets not working, no key to get in the room. You can do better.
Alessandro R — Google review
Nice hostel to stay in Nacpan beach. The staff was friendly and never had any issues; the wifi was good and the beds o. The sared rooms were actually big. The host girl working there made sure to include everyone on the activities they had and her good vibe was contagious. The food was also good, I had the eggs with the tomato sauce and onions, it was amazing! The burger was also very good and they have deals every day, like free beer with any burguer. I heard it’s more fun during the busy season, but can also be a good time during low when you’re just looking to chill and relax. Now I want to try the other Mad monkey places and see how that goes

Day 2

West side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the west side side of town. Start the day off with El Nido Boutique Artcafe, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Las Cabañas Beach. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

El Nido Boutique Artcafe is a multifaceted establishment that offers tour bookings, a handicrafts store, and an open-air cafe with all-day dining. While El Nido may not be known for its food scene, the area boasts several noteworthy dining options. Midtown Bakery is renowned for its delectable donuts, while Altrove serves up delicious wood oven pizza.
The live musicians were very talented! And the ambiance on the terrace overlooking the street was ideal. Even during the rain 🌧 I truly enjoyed my time here. Plus free wifi!

If you are in El Nido, Artcafe is a must visit! It is one of the oldest restaurant in El Nido. Service is superb with a good selection of food and drinks. I tried their craft and draft beer (which are both great). The vibe is very chill, too! There is live music sometimes. But the most important of all, the place is a feast for the eyes since you would see paintings and murals everywhere. Highly recommended!

Service and deco is wonderful but the food left a lot to be desired. I orderd the Seafood salad, it came drenched in salad dressing it was very soggy and lacked the crunch you expect form a fresh salad. The sea food consisted of two shrimp stewed with tiny bits of chopped up squid and unidentifiable fish plus 4 small clams.. the whole thing was very 'wet' and not very satisfying especially considering this is a " main course" . My husband ordered the Lasagne he found tasteless and it seemed to have been heated from frozen. We had spring rolls as a starter and they were just OK. Overall the food fell below our expectations. The best thing I had that night was my beer which was ice cold and the lovey live music. Edit: we woke up with a sore throat and stomach the next morning

A quirky and vibrant place , nicely tucked away in the town of El Nido.... Good afternoon everyone , I hope your well , so I've been coming to this place quite regularly over my time in El Nido and the main feature for me is that , it's nicely tucked away from the main town. It has a small bar on the beach , a cool shop and then it's bigger brother opposite , which has a very vibrant and welcoming feeling to it. The food and drinks are decent and while I feel the price is quite expensive , for the views and cool decor , with a nice ambient blend of chilled music in the background , it makes it worth it. They also sell there own home made soaps , jams , cutlery and a few other items that are definitely worth investing in. It's deffo a great place for solo , couples and families , who want to unwind , have some decent food , invest in some quality home made products and enjoy the beautiful views of the beach. Have a beautiful day , God Bless 🙏♥️✝️

Oh wow. What a wonderful experience I’ve had at the Art Cafe El Nido tonight. I ventured out of my villa late in the afternoon, feeling pretty hungry. I soon came across this tranquil and divine cafe/restaurant bar and enjoyed a fresh seafood salad, fries and the most amazing vegetable spring rolls with a home made sweet chilli sauce. It was absolutely delicious and made to perfection. The lovely staff couldn’t do enough for me, all without the hovering and eagle-eye that you get in some places. The big, breezy balcony upstairs was so relaxing, perfect spot to start out with a chilled Aperol or two. Thank you so much. I’ll be back.

As a 34-year-old German who loves food and a good atmosphere, I was absolutely thrilled by this restaurant in El Nido! The combination of fresh **organic food**, live music, and creative drinks won me over completely. The food was not only delicious but also high-quality—you can tell they prioritize sustainable ingredients. Add to that the relaxed vibe with live music, and you’ve got the perfect way to unwind in the evening. The drinks were also fantastic—freshly made and full of flavor. Verdict: Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food, great music, and a unique ambiance. I’ll definitely be back! 🌿🎶🍹

Seven Commandos Beach is a stunning destination in El Nido, featuring serene white-sand shores, clear turquoise waters, and picturesque rock formations. The beach is surrounded by coconut trees and a massive limestone cliff, creating a postcard-perfect setting reminiscent of Moana's island. Accessible only by boat, it has become a popular stop for island hopping tours in the area. Legend has it that the beach was named after seven Japanese soldiers who sought refuge there after World War II.
Seven Commando Beach is a great spot to unwind while in El Nido. It has soft white sand, clear blue water, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for swimming or just relaxing. There’s even a small sari-sari store on the beach where you can grab drinks or snacks, which is super convenient. It’s a nice stop during an island-hopping tour and definitely worth visiting!

This beach has been chosen as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world a few times. The beach is extended, and there are some basic amenities for tourists. Consider that many tours bring people here and it can get very crowded. Nonetheless, that would not deter you from appreciating the beauty of the beach.

🌴 A dream beach! Seven Commandos is a slice of paradise – turquoise water, soft white sand, and stunning wild scenery. There’s also a small beach bar where you can enjoy a cold drink in the shade with a perfect sea view. It’s not crowded, and the place keeps an authentic, laid-back vibe. Perfect for relaxing, swimming, or just daydreaming. Highly recommended!

Situated along the bustling beach-side streets, it provides a relaxing ambiance with stunning views of the sea, island, mountains, and blue skies. The restaurant caters to various dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian, and meat-eaters.
Beautiful view, excellent service and wonderful food. This was our 3rd time here. I ordered lamb souvlaki medium well all 3 times and it was cooked to perfection. My kids ordered the chicken souvlaki and they loved it. My wife ordered the fish stew that she also loved. The vegetables on the souvlaki was cooked to perfection. The onions were so good, my kids eat all of it even though they both hate onions. Hats off to the cook and staff for making our meals so enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Went for lunch on a Friday in May 2025. Weather was treat and so was the view in this restaurant. They are in the beach front, situated in the heart of El Nido town. The food, amazing! The servers were all nice and accommodating. Shoutout to Ate Michelle 😊 We ordered Pita and Hummus, lamb chops (big serving), Salmon pasta, Souvlaki (they were so nice to allow me to have both chicken and seafood), lamb salpocao (must-try). Price per head: ~1,000 pesos including our drinks.

Cafe Athena offers a nice mix of Mediterranean flavors in El Nido. I tried the Prawn Aglio Olio which was simply seasoned with garlic and olive oil over garlic parmesan pasta and it was decent. The Mediterranean Dips were enjoyable with hummus, htipiti, and baba ganoush served alongside pita bread that was thicker than usual, making it hearty and filling. My favorite of the lunch was the Cafe Athena Chopped Salad with mixed greens, blue cheese, pears, walnuts, and a Greek vinaigrette. The blend of flavors from the cheese, vinaigrette, and crisp greens came together beautifully and made this dish stand out. Overall, a pleasant spot for Mediterranean food in El Nido - specially if you sit in front of the sea.

You can't expect somebody to cook perfect greek who has never been in greece. The chicken souvlaki and chicken gyros was quite okay. The bread is just different and more sweet than in Greece or Europe. The yoghurt sauce is also a little bit strange but tasty, just not like tzaziki. The Sangria is good here.

5stars+ on several levels if you ask me. First of all the staff is amazing and a special “thank you for everything” goes to Gian. He is super kind, funny, makes you feel at home and makes the best cocktails. Tell him what you like and he’ll make you a perfect matching drink. We loved talking to him while having a drink and swinging (yes the bar chairs are swings, like it deserves a star as well). Secondly, we tried several dishes from breakfast to dinner and it was overal my favorite restaurant and bar in El Nido. My recommendation? Try the super banana shake and swing away. Miss this place so much and wish the staff all the best, you guys are so kind and caring. Thank you.

El Nido Beach

4.4
(803)
El Nido Beach, also known as "The Nest," is a stunning destination in the northernmost tip of mainland Palawan. It serves as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago, featuring white-sand beaches and coral reefs. The area includes 45 islands and islets with unique geological formations. While El Nido Town itself may not offer many activities, it boasts numerous restaurants and beach bars along the main beach where visitors can soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
In my opinion, El Nido is one of the prettiest towns. We were there for scuba diving. We stayed in town to have easy access to the dive centre, shops, restaurants, and the beach. We liked the beach very much. See the first photos. When the island hopping boats are gone, the beach is very quiet. Swimming is easy there. One must be careful when swimming if the boats are returning, but it's generally okay. The boats approach the shore carefully, disembark the guests, and immediately leave. There are lots of other beaches around which are accessible from land or via island hopping tours. They are all beautiful. I must say I was pretty impressed with the El Nido beach. In the evenings, after dinner, it was nice to walk on the beach. Full sunset, however, isn't observable from the beach due to the hill there. But no worries, nearby beach which everyone goes is great to enjoy the sunset.
Meltem K — Google review
Was surprised with El Nido Beach, it was CLEAN despite being in town. Water was clean without any garbage floating, the beach side was clean also, did not see garbage littered along the beach. Whatever they are doing they should keep on doing. I dont know if Swimming is allowed since there are No Swimming signs, but there are quite a number of people swimming and no one is asking them to leave.

Very nice beach, a lot of fun to walk and many cosy bars. You're not allowed to swim in it for some reason, though lots of people do it anyway. There may be some trash lying around, but the locals organise cleanups every saturday which is a great initiative!!

The place is beautiful with the tall mountains surrounding the bay and the colored wooden boats but the beach in itself is dirty, I would'nt swim here because there is so many boats and when it rains all the dirty water coming from the city and the streets end up on that beach

Just 10/12 mins away in Tricycle from El Nido beach. One of the best sunset experience of my life. After the driver drops you in front of the beach plaza…..just walk through for 5 mins to the beach. Once you reach there walk to the right side of the beach and go to extreme corner to view the spectacular sunset. The beach and water is clean, so you can swim too. Number of beach side cafe and hotels are also available. After the sunset, you can chill any of those. Must Visit for Sunset.
Fazal R — Google review
I’d give this a 3-star rating. It’s good, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations based on how others described it as a 'must-visit' beach. We rented a tricycle for a day tour (around 1.5k php) and visited three beaches: Nacpan, Lio, and Las Cabañas. This one was definitely the least impressive of the three. It was the only beach with a lot of seaweed along the shoreline. While this may be for a reason, the other two beaches had people cleaning the shore (and by the way, all three beaches have free entrance). It’s about a 10-minute ride from the town proper to McDonalds, and from there, you walk about 3 minutes to reach the beachfront. We went in the afternoon which most of the stalls were closed. I’m assuming they open later in the evening, but our experience wasn't impressive. On a positive note, there is a zipline activity available here. The zipline pass over the beach and land on Depeldet Island (i think its what they call it?). To get back, you can walk along a sandbar, which is nice. Locals around the beach actively promote this activity and can help you book it on the spot.

Las Cabañas is a really beautiful and huge beach! It is perfect for suntanning or a leisurely stroll along the shore. There are a couple of restaurants at the beach that offer scenic views while dining. Love the atmosphere and vibes!

Such a gorgeous beach with a few restaurants/cafe's. The sunset is beautiful here and you can take part in a zip line from one island to another!

Staffs are friendly, jolly and approachable. The food was good at reasonable price, one of the best serving here in El nido. The ambiance was very calm and relaxing, best recommended for a family dinner, for a couple date, and for someone alone who wants me time, think for a while and have some drinks. Don't miss this wonderful experience guy's, God bless y'all😚😌

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff who made us feel at home right away. Everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. The hospitality was truly heartwarming and made our stay very comfortable. The room was clean, cozy, and well-prepared, providing everything we needed for a relaxing rest after a long day. Attention to detail was evident, and it showed how much care they put into ensuring guest comfort. The food was another highlight, especially the breakfast. It was delicious, freshly prepared, and had a good variety to choose from. Starting the day with such a satisfying meal set the tone for a wonderful experience. Overall, the combination of warm people, comfortable rooms, and delightful food made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.

This might be one of the best places in El Nido to end the day. We said we’d have just one cocktail, but ended up having three each—it was that good. The view and El Nido’s evening atmosphere were absolutely stunning.
Berk S — Google review
We stopped here for happy hour, so can only comment on this. We had two sets of cocktails here. The Pina coladas were some of the best we've had surprisingly. The mojitos were just fine. They add 10% surcharge which is a bit cheeky, but a relaxed drink and beautiful views for 330php is reasonable imo.
R W — Google review
I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but the food was honestly terrible. The bread, which was supposed to be crispy, was soft and stale. The service was also pushy and unfriendly, something we weren’t used to in El Nido. If you’re looking for a place to have lunch or dinner, there are definitely better options elsewhere.

Just went to the front beach restaurant for breakfast. Undoubtedly stunning view. Variety of menu and delicious ofc.

The food takes a while about 20 mins +- I recommend asking for their in house flavored rum samples. I had the banana 10/10. Stunning views, knowledgeable staff.

SAVA Beach Bar is a trendy and modern beachfront bar with a laid-back atmosphere during the afternoon, transitioning into a lively dance floor with a DJ until 2am. The bar offers an extensive selection of cocktails, including favorites like The Twister and Passionfruit Daiquiri, as well as spirits, beers, and bar food such as sandwiches and nibbles. Located on the shores of El Nido Beach, it attracts a young and hip crowd looking for potent cocktails and good music.
Genuinely lovely staff, so welcoming and friendly. Quick to serve you and even offered us a free cocktail as a mispour. Food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is chilled sat on the beach, there is live music and feels away from the crowds, cocktails are delicious and they do happy hour! We returned to this bar several times during our stay!

Menu is small and prices arent bad for being beach front. They had two really great singers but it was so loud you couldn’t even order your food or speak to anyone at your table. Definitely need to turn down the music a lot. Food was good, portions were nice, staff was friendly.

SAVA Beach Bar is one of the best spots to chill here in El Nido! Ang ganda ng ambiance — classy pero relaxed lang, perfect for sunset drinks with friends or someone special. May live band every night special at peak season~they set the mood habang nag-eenjoy ka ng cocktails by the beach. The staff are friendly and the place just gives good vibes all around. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the night — sulit puntahan!

Sitting on the beach that extends to the sea, the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious, and there are many choices for cocktails. We made a reservation in advance (paid a deposit of 2500 Philippine pesos) and went for a massage before coming to eat.

Nice chilled place by the beach. They have a happy hour from 5-7pm. The staff were all very professional and pleasant. We tried the trio taco. My husband has the pork one and his review is that it beats the other two meats/flavours. I had their patatas bravas which I really enjoyed. Would recommend as a sunset spot

Service here was absolutely phenomenal, the staff was very attentive when you were looking for them and left you alone when you were wanting to relax and enjoy your time. The beach side vibe is so relaxing and the food was delicious, not to mention the drinks. My only criticism would be they could turn down the music a little outside, but great vibes all around.

Restaurant
Nestled in the hills above El Nido, The Nesting Table is a bayside restaurant offering stunning hilltop views of Bacuit Bay. Accessible via a 10 to 15-minute trek, this rustic jungle eatery exudes a serene ambiance and boasts an oceanfront balcony with cushioned seats and hammocks.
This place is extraordinary! Every spot is instagrammable! It's actually the restaurant of The Birdhouse and just like the hotel guests, one must also climb the stairs leading to this place. It was a moderate hike up the restaurant but was very tiring especially for me who didn't have exercise for a long time. I think it's still not that popular with the locals because all of the diners there were foreigners when we dined so visit it ASAP before it gets crowded. The food, though, for me wasn't great but it's still good, I guess because it's all organic and no preservatives added and I'm not just used to it. Again it's just for me and we don't have the same set of taste buds. Back to view, it's very breathtaking! We will surely go back here if given the chance! We had our outdoor seats reserved days prior to our trip and the reservation officer was very accommodating even if we had erratic reservation due to unforseen events. Thank you The Nesting Table! Chirp Chirp!

Highly recommended to go during sunsets. My fiancee and I visited at night. A few things to note is that it's about 10 mins from Vanilla Beach, or 15 minutes from McDonalds. This place is located on a hill overlooking the bay, so there are quite a number of steps before you reach the restaurant. There will be inspiring signs along the way to give you a morale boost to keep climbing. The restaurant is great, very nice touches in design. Staff are very welcoming. If you are keen, do try to make a reservation, as the spaces in the restaurant are limited and tend to be booked up. Even though we were walk in customers, they were accommodating to us and let us sit on a balcony to wait for a vacant table. The food was very good (we recommend the pork chop). The owner greeted us and was very friendly. It is a good experience altogether.

Amazing dinner experience for 2 at The Nesting Table; me and my boyfriend went there for a nice view and good food and that’s what we found. Lovely and stylish atmosphere, good and fast service, selected plates very well prepared. We had the Snapper which has a delicate sauce and very well prepared cocktails and dessert! Would definitely go there again. Thank you
Arianna P — Google review
Somewhat underwhelming experience. Lovely location and wonderful staff but the food just failed to deliver. We had the ceviche which was unusual due to the tomato based sauce, the veggie burger with banana heart pattie - the bun was stale, the pineapple fridge cold as well as the potato crisps. Most dissapointing was the chicken inasal with no hint of lemongrass or the calamansi honey glaze, and the sautéed vegetables were non existent. We were a little surprised at a service charge as have not seen this before in Palawan. This place has a long long way to go before it reaches the levels of Mojitos in Port Barton which is quite rightly ranked #1
El D — Google review
It's a climb alright. But a spectacular view of El Nido's lagoon and good food and I mean it the meatballs the grilled fish the chicken adobo oh so yummy. The staff very well trained and friendly. Make sure to book way ahead if you the best view on the balcony for that romantic sundowner. The cakes with their French press is the perfect ending to your sumptuous meal. But make sure to bring cash or have a PayPal account!
Summer S — Google review
The menu is kept short, which is for me a typical indicator for high quality food. We tried the Currys and we loved it. The restaurant is lovely decorated, very romantic. If you get the chance to sit outside, you'll enjoy a beautiful sea view. Walk along Vanilla Beach and keep your eyes open for signs to find this place. To get up to the tree tops you need to go up bamboo stairs (see picture below).

Wonderful place for a sunset dinner or just a snack with a view. Food was super tasty. View is inspiring. The build and quality is astounding.

The place it's really beautiful, great views, relax atmosfera, goods service. However I don't give it the excellent because the food was quite simple and a bit pricy. When you see the menu you would expects something more sophisticate. A great place anyway.

Nestled behind a small cave, the Secret Lagoon is a popular spot for tourists seeking an adventure. Upon reaching the lagoon, visitors are greeted by stunning turquoise waters surrounded by towering limestone walls. The secluded ambiance adds to the allure of this hidden gem, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling tourist spots.
It was such a unique and memorable experience entering the Secret Lagoon! We had to free dive through a narrow cave to reach the hidden waters. The view was really beautiful!

🌊 Secret Lagoon, El Nido – A Hidden Gem with a Bit of a Challenge Our visit to the Secret Lagoon was truly unforgettable, though getting there wasn’t easy. During our trip, the tide was high and the waves were quite strong, making the entrance a bit tricky. You have to kneel or crouch down to squeeze through the narrow opening, and I even got a small wound on my knees along the way. Once inside, the lagoon itself was smaller than expected, and there wasn’t much space to stand , probably because of the tide at the time. But despite the challenging entry, the experience was still magical. The hidden beauty of the place, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, made it all worth it. It’s a raw, natural adventure, not the most comfortable, but definitely memorable. Just be prepared and wear proper footwear!
Mary V — Google review
We were very fortunate to enter the secret lagoon when it was empty and really loved it. You have to enter it through a small hole in the rocks. Best to wear water shoes. There was a quaint beach which was fun to hang out in. There was a very cute cat who was a major attraction! This is a part of the Tour A

Among all the attractions of Tour A from El Nido, this one will be ranked 2. Not very deep and getting into this hidden lagoon is bit of an adventure. The beach is also a nice one. Big boats cant go near to beach so you need to do a little bit of swimming and then walking over coral/stones. But be very careful while walking in the water, found many got hurt.
Fazal R — Google review
It's a beautiful site. The Secret Lagoon itself is OK. It was a squeeze to get into it, and that was compounded by the fact that there were so many people trying to get in at the same time. The guides did a great job of making sure there were no issues, but in the end, the site was just OK. The beach next to it was amazing, and I wish I had we had more time to explore that
David R — Google review
The Secret Lagoon is a thrilling spot but tricky to access with waves crashing at the narrow entrance. Inside, two wave openings add excitement , just be cautious and use a waterproof case for your phone. A challenging yet rewarding experience!

Big Lagoon is a narrow waterway with striking blue waters surrounded by dark limestone cliffs. The lagoon offers a stunning and serene experience, especially when the crowds have dispersed, allowing visitors to appreciate its beauty in solitude. Cruising through the Big Lagoon provides breathtaking views of towering limestone rocks that enclose the area, creating a picturesque setting.
One of a kind experience of rowing yourself towards the lagoon. Kayak is only 300 pesos for 2 person. It became hard for us to enter the lagoon as the wind was blowing us outward. However, we managed to go inside but we were so exhausted 😅 Still a good experience though

If you dont know swimming but yet you want to walk a around in the water, big lagoon is the place. Its the highlight to Tour A from El Nido island hopping. Try to enjoy in a weekday to avoid crowd. Kayaking is so much fun there. It has small kayaking trail inside which i did, dont miss it to get some extra fun. The lagoon very nicely and strickly preserved by the govt. and this is very much appreciable.

Big Lagoon: A Beautiful Destination Amid Crowded Shores Rating: Without private Tour ⭐️⭐️ With private Tour ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Big Lagoon in El Nido, Philippines, is undeniably stunning, but be prepared for crowds. During peak tourist season, it can get pretty packed, which can take away from the experience. To make the most of your visit, I highly recommend booking a private tour. This allows you to explore Big Lagoon and other attractions without the crowds. We opted for "Tour A" and "Tour D" with Byahero's Travel and Tours, and it was a great decision. With our private tour, we were able to arrive at each destination before other tourists, giving us a chance to fully appreciate the beauty of Big Lagoon without the hustle and bustle. The crystal-clear waters and towering limestone cliffs were even more breathtaking without the crowds. Overall, Big Lagoon is worth a visit, especially if you can arrange a private tour to avoid the crowds. By booking with Byahero's Travel and Tours and choosing the right tours, we were able to enjoy this natural wonder to the fullest. Last advice: Don‘t fly drone! They loose connection and crash 🤫

Lots of people, long wait times for kayaks, difficult to kayak into if you aren’t used to it, lots of rubbish☹️ However, once you’re inside, it’s beautiful, lots of coral, hidden coves away from the people❤️

Highlight of the Tour D. In the afternoon (around 2 pm) there were less than a dozen other Kayaks, so it was not too crowded. Interesting rock formations and very clear water. You may enter small lagoon either by kayak or just swim.

It’s an absolutely stunning place that you can see on the premium tours, so I highly recommend that you do a premium tour! The views are absolutely phenomenal, and all of the photos you take in this area are generally Instagram worthy, if you can get a few shots without other people. We went during low season, but there was still quite a few tourists.

Despite the crowds and scores of kayaks, this place still manages to impress. The water looks clean enough but this is better for kayaking than snorkelling, though out in the bay amongst the boats there's some nice coral which is slowly being destroyed by all these tours. Dead sealife aside, the towering cliffs, blue water and eerie feel as you paddle through the narrow opening made this the highlight of the island hopping tour A.

Cudugnon Cave is a hidden gem located on a picturesque beach, featuring narrow openings and chambers illuminated by natural light. This significant archaeological site is believed to have been a Neolithic burial place, with excavations unearthing prehistoric human bones and ancient artifacts such as Sung Dynasty potteries and jewelry. The cave's former inhabitants are thought to have been travelers from Borneo who crossed the ancient land bridge connected to Palawan.
One of the most photogenic places in El Nido. I visited this cave while on the eponymous beach. Can be a difficult for tall people to get into the cave, but once inside the instagrammable photos will be worth it.

Cudugnon Cave is a significant natural and historical site located in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines, specifically on the west part of Lagen Island at the foot of Mount Maa Teg. It is a popular destination for tourists seeking a blend of adventure, natural beauty, and cultural exploration, often included as a highlight in El Nido's island-hopping Tour B . Historical and Cultural Significance Cudugnon Cave holds immense anthropological significance, believed to have been a Neolithic burial site for ancient Palawenos and settlers from Borneo. Archaeological excavations within the cave have unearthed pottery, jewelry, and even human bones, with artifacts traced back to the Sung Dynasty (960-1279 A.D.). These findings provide valuable insights into the life and death practices of early civilizations in the Palawan area. Furthermore, local legends suggest the cave served as a hiding place for locals during World War II .

Very fun place to go! You do have to get in through a very narrow hole but it's definitely worth it. It's all sand (no water) inside but so gorgeous with some light coming from large holes in the "ceiling". It's located on a beach so you can actually hang out there and swim as well.
Chloé H — Google review

Otavio M — Google review
Hidden within the breathtaking landscapes of El Nido, the enchanting Cudugnon Cave awaits, ready to unveil its stunning beauty to those who dare to explore. As part of Tour B, this natural wonder is a highlight that leaves visitors in awe. To reach Cudugnon Cave, you navigate through a rocky passage, making sure to wear suitable footwear for stability. As you enter, a sense of anticipation fills the air, for you are about to witness a spectacle like no other. The cave's grand entrance with its high ceiling and colossal stalactite pillars, reaching up to 40 meters, sets the stage for an extraordinary experience. While exploring, take caution as some rocks may be slippery. However, the well-placed lighting ensures that you can appreciate the cave's splendor while safely navigating its terrain. The cave's natural allure is simply awe-inspiring, reminding us of the Earth's incredible ability to create stunning works of art over millennia.

Cool little cave right besides the beach. Getting in and out can be quite the mission depending on your height. There are 2 spacious chambers to see inside. The light bleeds through so the chambers are illuminated nicely for photos.

Another stop for daily activities if you stay in Miniloc Island Resort. Cave is small and there is really nothing special worth seeing here. If you have not seen a cave in your life then go and see this. Otherwise, skip this and spend more of your time swimming and snorkeling elsewhere. There is a nice beach here where you can have picnic lunch under native huts.

I liked it here, the water could have been deeper, but not much I can do about that lol. Bring swim shoes as it's rocky in places in the water and on the beach. Some places have shade under a tree, a few stores and places to stay on the beach as well.

More port than a beach to me. Shallow water. Beach is not very clean and not good for relax and swimming. Has few nice bars for sunset fotos. Thats it.
Marian F — Google review
This beach is not for swimming, it is so shallow especially during the low tide, I saw a lot broken glass so be careful. It is really nice during the sunset but if you are sitting in the restaurants. There are many restaurants at the beach, they are opened and you can enjoy in fresh breeze and cold drinks! 🍹
Luka V — Google review
Nice spot for a stroll and explore the wonderful restaurants. It's particularly nice in the morning on a high tide or sunset. Some island daytripping hoats leave from here too. A much more chilled vibe than el nido beach.
Michael W — Google review
I don't understand why people give such a bad ranking. This beach is good! It's not the best if you want to swim as there are a lot of boats and water is not deep, but you can walk a few hundred meters to find spots with no boat, a lot of bars, and a lot of space for you alone. You can easily rent cheap kayaks to get to other beaches from here. If you stay on that beach, know that there are a lot of beach sellers there.

Beautiful spot with gorgeous views of the bay. Makes more sense to visit this beach if you're staying nearby or planning to snorkel or kayak. Also a great spot for drone activities as it's out of the restricted airspace zone over El Nido proper. Quieter here than the main beach in El Nido, good spot to relax and enjoy the views.
Greg A — Google review
Quiet beach, not many tourists, Fisher boats, very warm water, beautiful view to the mountains. Not a paradise beach but at least quiet.
Sergina G — Google review
A quiet beach cove just over a kilometer from the busy el nido town beach. Waves here are calmer because it is in a cove surrounded by a number of islands. Quieter because there are less establishments at the beach area and there are less tourists as this area has been just recently developed. Down side of the area is that there are so many boats that are there to hide from the waves or are being dry docked.

Restaurant
Bulalo Plaza is a popular open-air eatery located on the road to Corong Corong, offering authentic and delicious Filipino cuisine. The restaurant is known for its generous portions of fresh-cooked Pinoy dishes, prepared using traditional methods such as cooking over firewood. Visitors can savor a variety of local favorites, including black squid adobo, sizzling pork, seafood curry, and tuna with egg.
The place was ok. It was very accessible since it is near the road. The service was fast. We only ordered bulalo and it was remarkable. The meat was soft and the soup was delicious. Overall the dish was very hearty it’s good for drunk people to sober up. The price was just right for the serving.
Kelvin N — Google review
A local recommended this spot for authentic local cuisine, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the pork binagoongan and pancit canton. While the flavours were rich, both dishes were a little too oily and salty for our liking.
Rachel Y — Google review
Delicious Food, But Long Wait The food was really good—some of the best bulalo and binagoongan I’ve ever had! Flavorful and satisfying. However, the wait time was very long. We waited for almost an hour for our food, even though there was only one other table dining in the restaurant. That was a bit disappointing, especially since it wasn’t busy at all.
Jaderon U — Google review
Me and my girlfriend went here several times in the past few days and they are always open and the staff are friendly. If you are looking for good quality local cuisine at a really good price then it's worth a look. We will no doubt eat here again in the next few days

We had dinner here and we ordered "bulalo". Bulalo is so good and the meat is so tender. We also ordered "kare kare" which tasted ok, but while we were eating many insects flew to the lights above us and other insects landed on our foods so we easily finished our meal.
Leo P — Google review
BEWARE!!!!!! My wife and I ordered a noodle dish with vegetables and a choice of a meat, in which we chose chicken. It took about about 25min to come out, and when it did there was chicken bone throughout the entire meal, even through the noodles. There were random shards of bone without any meat even attached, scattered through the food. We also noticed there were blue pieces of plastic all through the food also. It's a shame as the noodles and veg tasted quite good. I would strongly avoid this restaurant or definately make sure you know what your ordering. The pile of food on the third plate on the left hand side was all the bone. You can see the blue pieces of plastic on the napkin.
Keelan G — Google review
The staff is really nice and speaks good English. We came here several times and had a mixed experience with the food we ordered. The tortang talong was good one day and not the best the next. The vegetarian curry is quite tasty! It's small though, and you need to order rice separately (20 pesos for a cup). Their spicy sauce is quite nice but really hot so be careful. They give you free water at the start of the meal -- that's how you know it's an authentic Filipino restaurant. Overall, it's worth trying. The food is okay and reasonably priced (for El Nido). But, just like most places in Palawan, vegetarian dishes cost more than ones with meat. Always ask about the ingredients as some dishes may seem vegetarian but contain shrimp paste.
Mario N — Google review
Nice place to get a decent local taste. All dishes were tasty and prices are very reasonable to compare with the local benchmark. Had a great sizzling as well as a delicious seafood curry. Also the tuna with egg as a starter was a great choice. Recommend strongly.

For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like El Nido Tours "Sea Quest" - island hopping and expeditions to Coron.. Not quite as popular as Nacpan Beach, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Embark on the 'Sea Quest' island-hopping tour in El Nido for an unforgettable exploration of its 45 islands and islets. With options for group or private tours, you can visit stunning locations like Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Secret Lagoon, and 7th Commando Beach. This popular activity offers a chance to capture breathtaking photos and videos while enjoying buffet lunches and drinks amidst the natural beauty of the Philippines.
We did the 3D2N boat expedition with Sea Quest on recommendation from friends who had done it a year earlier. We had a fantastic time! Our boat was named the Seven Sisters and had a capacity of 30 people which I think would be a lot if fully booked; however our tour was only 10 people so plenty of space to enjoy (maybe best to avoid peak season if you can). Our route was Coron to El Nido, however they also run expeditions El Nido to Coron. Maybe best to confirm your expedition dates before flights and accommodation. Our tour guides King and Dexter were great, super knowledgeable about all our island stops and everything you'd need was accommodated. The food on board was awesome, you will be well fed, sampling a number of classic Filipino dishes. The activities on the expedition were mainly snorkelling and beach stops, the landscapes were awesome, it's a beautiful part of the world. Would definitely recommend going with Sea Quest!

An impressively arranged, extraordinary experience!!! First and foremost I would like to highlight the amount of professionalism and enthusiasm our tour guide Emerick and his crew put into taking care of us. Our experience was their number one priority; from taking us to the most beautiful islands between Coron and El Nido specifying the best places to snorkel and rest at each one, to carrying us by canoe whenever we got tired of swimming, to singing and dancing with us at night, and making us smile the entire way through. My gratitude goes out to you guys. Second, the activities, among which snorkeling/freediving/cliff jumping/canoeing/supboarding/beachwalks/volleyball/karaoke/etcetera, were perfectly arranged and spaced out in time, despite lesser weather conditions at times. Not to mention, the absolutely gorgeous locations at which these activities take place (after 3 weeks of traveling the philippines we were still amazed). In terms of food, this was by far the best philipino cuisine we have had in our 4 weeks stay in the Philippines. The buffet style breakfast/lunch/dinner was very diverse and differed each day. For those interested, they take allergies/vegans into account when preparing the food. Then, as for the ship, we had a very beautiful and practical 2 story boat, with plenty room to chill and hangout on, with comfortable bean bags and shade spots everywhere. Concerning the accommodations at which we stayed, they were more than fine, not the most luxurious but you have everything you need (toilet/shower/mosquito net/decently soft matress) and the locations we stayed at were absolutely outstanding. All in all, despite the somewhat hefty price tag (which is more than justified for what you get), the 3d2n coron-elnido with SeaQuest was more than worth it, so much so, that I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

An unforgettable 3-day island adventure! We had an amazing 3-day trip with El Nido Sea Quest, sailing from El Nido to Coron – and it was truly the highlight of our travels in the Philippines! The experience was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We explored countless beautiful islands, swam and snorkeled in crystal-clear waters, and saw incredible marine life at various snorkeling spots. Every stop felt like a hidden paradise. The accommodations each night were simple but very charming – staying in beach huts right by the ocean added to the whole island vibe. The food was delicious and fresh, with plenty of variety each day. What really made the trip special was the crew. They were super friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone felt safe and had fun. They created a relaxed and positive atmosphere the whole time. If you're looking to truly enjoy the beauty of the Philippines, disconnect from the busy world, and have 3 days of pure island bliss – this is the trip for you. Absolutely recommended!

Our 3-day, 2-night cruise from Coron to El Nido with Sea Quest Expedition was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we boarded, the crew’s warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The itinerary was perfectly balanced with incredible island hopping, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and stunning scenery at every stop. The boat was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere after each day’s adventures. Sea Quest Expedition’s team went above and beyond in ensuring safety, comfort, and fun throughout the trip. The meals served on board were delicious and plentiful, showcasing fresh local flavors. Highlights included exploring hidden lagoons, pristine beaches, and vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. This cruise is truly a must-do for anyone wanting to experience the natural beauty of the Philippines in a unique and intimate way. Highly recommended for both adventure seekers and those looking to unwind amid breathtaking seaside landscapes. We left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3D2N boat expedition with Sea Quests. Although our original tour date was cancelled, rescheduling for the following day was quick and effortless. The company also arranges onward travel into El Nido town at the end of the tour—I assume they offer the same for Coron if you’re heading that direction. The whole experience was close to flawless. The staff were incredible—fun, friendly, and a huge part of what made the trip so memorable. They were constantly checking that we were okay and gave their all into providing us with the best possible experience. We spent so much of the expedition laughing, and it was wonderful to truly switch off from our phones and the outside world for once—something that feels rare these days. Our fellow passengers were just as fantastic; we bonded quickly, and many of us even met up with the crew in El Nido afterwards for drinks. The food on board was outstanding. You definitely won’t go hungry with such a wide variety: chicken, curry, vegetables, potatoes, fish, pork, spring rolls, noodles, rice, pancakes, fresh fruit, and more. The tour also includes unlimited rum and gin (and yes, it really was unlimited if you wanted it), plus soft drinks like Coke, Sprite, water, and fruit juices. The boat itself was spacious—even with around 30 people on board, it never felt crowded. We loved the bean bags on the upper deck, and the speaker kept the vibe lively between island stops. Every stop offered something different: beaches, snorkelling spots, shipwrecks, volleyball, sandbars, and even a cliff-jumping site (although conditions were too rough for us to jump on our trip). The turquoise waters really are as stunning as the photos. It never felt repetitive. Each night’s accommodation was unlike anything we’ve experienced while travelling—simple but incredibly special, right by the sea. Evenings were spent enjoying karaoke, card games, chatting with everyone, and bonfires, with absolutely no pressure to participate or drink. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it. It was truly an unforgettable experience and a highlight of our 3-month backpacking trip in Asia!

I joined the 3-day, 2-night expedition with Sea Quest Tours in El Nido, and it ended up being one of the best experiences I’ve had while travelling in the Philippines. If you want more than the standard day tours and you’re looking to actually live on the islands for a couple of days, this is 100% the right choice. From the start, the crew were friendly, organised, and genuinely fun to be around. They made everyone feel comfortable, kept the atmosphere relaxed. The group vibe was great as well — a mix of travellers from different places, and the crew did a good job helping everyone connect without forcing it. If you’re looking for adventure, nature, and something that feels more authentic than hopping on a boat for a few hours, I highly recommend Sea Quest. It’s perfect for solo travellers, couples, or anyone who wants to experience El Nido in a deeper way.

It was really cool. We had the best guide, Ronald, who was like the good father of the trip — very wise and funny. I met a lot of nice people, and the boat was great as well. The food could have been a bit better and not so fatty, but apart from that everything was perfect. 👍🏻 I can recommend it.

Republica Sunset Bar is a charming and intimate resto-bar that offers stunning panoramic sunset views over Bacuit Bay in El Nido. Located just four kilometers from the town proper, this bar is the perfect spot to unwind with a cold drink while enjoying unobstructed sunset vistas. The menu features traditional Spanish tapas and paellas, including delicious dishes like omelet, patatas bravas, and tomato salted bread.
Great authentic bar serving hot and cold tapas which is prepared in front of you. Amazing sunset view looking out across the small islands. Friendly and accommodating. Great chilled music playing in the back ground. It's been our go to.

My new favourite sunset spot in El Nido, I stumbled across this place on my way back from Las Cabañas beach. It's a nice little bar just off the main road. It was a picture-perfect west facing, 180-degree uninterrupted view over the bay. Staff were friendly, the drinks were good, and the music was a great vibe. I didn't eat but the menu looked good and there is happy hour 5-7.

Great bar to stop off for sunset cocktails. An unimpeded view to the west in an elevated wooden bar. It's got a charm and character about it. The staff are good, the cocktails are decent, but the most memorable part is that stunning view. We didn't have any food though, but it looked like a Spanish tapas menu on offer. Happy hour also lasts through sunset between 5-7pm.

Great place to watch sunset and eat. The sangria was on point.
Rich M — Google review
This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst meals I have ever had. The tapas were a complete disaster — the meatballs were so bad they were impossible to eat. The prices are high for what you get, especially compared to the local cost of living. The Wi-Fi was useless, and the final straw: we found two dead cockroaches inside the napkin holder. We even recorded a video as proof. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.

Great beach side bar with perfect view for sunset. Reasonably priced drinks and great service. Perfect ambiance with nice beach house music playing in the background and cozy yet unpretentious atmosphere. My kind of place!

Panorama Beach Club & Boutique Hotel El Nido lives up to its name by offering stunning panoramic views of El Nido's natural beauty. Situated in the heart of Bacuit Bay, it provides easy access to the famous Big Lagoon and boasts its own beach area with pristine waters and white sands. The hotel offers 8 elegant rooms equipped with premium amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, airport transportation arrangements, and complimentary parking.
A Hidden Gem in El Nido – Panorama Beach Club is Paradise! We had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Panorama Beach Club in El Nido, Palawan! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel like we were right at home—only with a view of paradise! The beach club itself is stunning, with a laid-back yet chic vibe that’s perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a romantic sunset. The views of Bacuit Bay are breathtaking, especially as the sun dips below the horizon—truly one of the best spots to catch the sunset in El Nido. The drinks were top-notch—creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. We especially loved sipping on cocktails by the beach while soaking in the relaxed atmosphere and groovy tunes. The paella was a highlight of our visit—flavorful, hearty, and clearly inspired by authentic Spanish recipes. It was the perfect dish to share and paired beautifully with their house sangria. But what truly made our experience stand out was the incredible staff. Every team member was friendly and attentive, but a special shoutout goes to Ed, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and well taken care of. His warmth, charisma, and attention to detail really made the experience feel like home away from home. If you're in El Nido and looking for a place that combines stunning views, great food and drinks, and amazing hospitality, Panorama Beach Club is an absolute must-visit.

This time, I visited Panorama Beach Bar during the low season. I've been coming to El Nido since 2010 and have been there more than 40 times. The day before, we were also at Panorama, and there were only 3 other guests in total. We had some drinks and snacks and were lying on the front row of sunbeds. Today, we decided to go back to Panorama. When we arrived, there were 7 crew members just hanging around because there was absolutely nothing to do. We were planning to have a nice dinner and some drinks, and I walked over to the sunbeds, not knowing what scene would unfold later. The crew immediately approached me to say that their supervisor had instructed them it was not allowed for us to use the sunbeds without paying for them. The day before, they had let it slide (I had no idea there was even a charge), but now I really had to pay. If it were high season, I’d understand, but during low season — when we were literally the only guests that afternoon — I would be happy if a customer wanted to spend money on food and drinks at the club. And let’s be honest, it all looks nice, but it’s obviously not Ushuaïa in Ibiza, where I’d happily drop a few thousand euros on a VIP table. Naturally, we left immediately without spending a single peso. Advice to Panorama: try to appreciate the few guests you get during the off-season.

A huge thank you to Panorama for such an incredible stay. The location, ambience and staff were all nothing short of incredible. Our time in El Nido wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was without Edralin and Reno at the Beach club each day and Eunice and Aires at the front desk. Every interaction with them, they went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after and having the best time possible. Great service isn’t easy to come by, so when one hotel has so many quality staff it really stands out. Can’t wait to return!
Jordan W — Google review
Loved the vibe at Panorama — cozy, laid-back, and that view? Unreal. Food was super tasty, and yeah, it’s a bit more expensive than the rest of El Nido, but honestly worth every peso. Oh, and they have the sweetest little house cat just chilling around. Instant favorite.

Wow. What an amazing experience at Panorama. We can’t fault it at all. The staff are absolutely amazing and made our stay super special. The room and the facilities were well looked after and clean. You can really tell that these people care. The food was AMAZING - even if you don’t stay there, you have to check out the food especially the Gambas de Ajillo. The staff really went above and beyond. Hopefully we will be back one day❤️

We didn’t stay at the hotel but visited the restaurant for sunset. The food was quite expensive, but the atmosphere was beautiful, making it a great place to enjoy the view. However, we were disappointed that booking the poolside beds with a sunset view cost an additional 1,000 pesos. While the setting was stunning, the extra charge felt unnecessary, especially considering the already high prices for food and drinks. Overall, a pricey experience, but the ambiance made it enjoyable.

Taraw Cliff, also known as Taraw Peak or Mt. Taraw, is a craggy limestone peak in El Nido that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding villages and Bacuit Bay. Accessible via a suspension bridge and canopy walk, reaching the summit requires sturdy footwear and gloves provided by guides due to the steep and sharp limestone trail.
Great place for a view of the bay. But you have to climb stairs and cross a suspension bridge to get there. You will wear climbing gear and protection and a helmet. Be prepared. Also, you have to pay and a house will be with you. The climb is only 15 to 20 minutes. But you'll have a nice view at the platform and can take some cool pics.
Jan P — Google review
We only did the Canopy Walk which was 420 PHP per person. They had the option to also do the other Dreamcatcher portion for an additional cost, where you crawl around on this rope netting hung across the cliff but we decided not to do that. You have to wear safety climbing type gear. Pretty good hike up into the limestone cliff. They have a metal staircase structure part of the way. The bottom half is a climb up rock and dirt stairs and oath that can be difficult for elderly people. It takes about 15 minutes to hike to top and the view is great. There weren't many people there at the time so we had the place to ourselves. I would say it is worthwhile to do this walk if you are in El Nido town and have an hour or so of free time.
Eric S — Google review
Taraw Cliff is an absolute must-see when you're in El Nido! The climb is a bit challenging and requires a harness and helmet for safety, but it's all part of the adventure. A local guide will accompany you, and they're very friendly, knowledgeable, and the price is surprisingly affordable. Once you reach the top, you're rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of El Nido and its crystal-clear waters—totally worth the effort. If you're up for a little adventure and want to see El Nido from a whole new perspective, Taraw Cliff is the place to go!
Michal B — Google review
Me and my girlfriend went up and it was definitely worth it. Some people may find it a small challenge because of the heat but it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the top. The view is stunning looking over the town below and the cliffs higher up.
Gareth D — Google review
Taraw Cliff Hike is no longer available on most trips due to accidents, instead we do the canopy walk. (If you want the hike, which takes an hour and could be dangerous, ask one of the guides in their office, and they'll offer a tour for 1,000 pesos per person, with a maximum of three people per tour guide.) It's the easiest and safest hike I've ever done, because the pathway is cemented and they have a harness for the bridge with a helmet. This is a walk that children will enjoy. Because I am physically fit and active, I was able to reach the canopy in less than 10 minutes. It's really hot, though. We arrived at 9 a.m., but it appears that it is already 12 noon in the pictures. We were the only tourists at the time, so we took good photographs and went at our own leisure. When we descend, we encounter a group of tourists who are going to ascend. I bought my ticket through klook in advanced, you can also pay in the office itself.

Amazing experience and beautiful views! The staff are super attentive and took great pictures for us to remember the day! It’s really cool to have visited, to see the cliff formations and the views from a different perspective. We also didn’t have to wait to get in, we just paid and were taken through to get a harness and helmet before being taken up to start the climb!
Ashleigh S — Google review
Great place to explore in town if you dont have much time. CAUTION: Don’t navigate to this place via google maps, it will not bring you to the entrance. Instead, pin the Canopy Walk to buy a ticket.
Pornvut ( — Google review
The easiest way to access the cliff is through the Canopy Walk which you can do for a 400 pesos fee. They will provide the path and equipment. Otherwise climbing the actual cliff can proof very challenging, specially under hot weather and if you don’t know the easiest paths. Through the payed activity it takes 20 minutes to each the summit. Otherwise it would take you 1 hour.

Bakery
Midtown El Nido Bakery, located in Downtown El Nido, is a must-visit for its freshly baked buns and delicious bread. While it may not offer fancy Western pastries, the bakery's hot-out-of-the-oven treats are priced affordably between 2PHP to 25PHP. Visitors can line up for their popular banana bread and coconut-filled bread. These affordable pastries and bread make for perfect treats before or after island hopping tours.
I had an overpriced breakfast at a place across the street and was craving something sweet. Stepped out and saw this real authentic, non-touristy looking, out-of-place bakery. I was full from the breakfast so I just took one donut for 10 pesos if I remember the price correctly. It was hands-down the best plain donut I ever had in my life. No exaggeration. It was my last day in The Philippines and I was taking the van to PPS. My only regret was not carrying a bag full of those donuts for the ride.
Sagar R — Google review
It was a bit busy when I went in the afternoon and I decided to try a couple of pastries. It was disorderly when you get to the front of the line. There are nice signs to tell you what the pastries are and for how much they are sold for. It’s everyone fending for themselves, you must get the attention of a worker before someone else pushes past you to get helped first. By the time I got the attention of the worker, she was clearly annoyed when she could tell I was a foreigner and was rushing to get me to order. I quickly pointed to a cookie and she ask “anything else” multiple times. I did end up pointing to another pastry and said that was all. It was fairly cheap at 10 pesos for two pastries. It’s really hard to make a decision on what to get when you don’t know the items and how much they cost. The service wasn’t great. The pastries were mediocre.

I tried some cakes after seeing a large queue for days. The donut was really good and the brownie bites were a bit dry but for the price, way better than other ones from surrounding coffee shops. I paid 180p.
Ni N — Google review
Fantastic little authentic bakery, selling a wide selection of local and international pastries, cakes and sweat and savoury breads. The local foods are the cheapest with the more international options being a little higher in price, so the prices do vary a bit. However this is totally to be expected as producing a local sweat bread or making a simple ring donut is much cheaper than producing a pain au chocolat for example. Having said that even the higher priced items are still very inexpensive really. It does get a bit chaotic at busy times but this just highlights how popular and how good the bakery is. The staff are super friendly and helpful too and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the different items for sale. This bakery is a great place to grab a breakfast on the go or a sweat treat or snack at any time of day. It's one of the few places in El Nido offering food at local prices and not fleecing tourists like most of the other places in El Nido. I highly recommend this bakery, I went here every day during my stay in El Nido.

The best place in El Nido! The average pastery costs between 3 to 5 pesos !!! The donuts and vanilla buns are heaven! We tried new things everyday and ate about 10 donuts a day. It’s a wonder I didn’t roll out of the island! Heads up, don’t get the banana bread it’s 45 and kind of dry!
Eline H — Google review
The chocolate cake was extremely dry but the donuts are really cheap and good.

Mexican restaurant
If you're a fan of vibrant Mexican cuisine, make sure to stop by No Mames in Barangay Corong Corong, El Nido. Located just 1.5 kilometers from the serene Corong Corong Beach—known for its stunning sunsets—this lively restobar offers a delightful twist on classic Mexican fare. From mouthwatering burritos and tacos to zesty chili con carne and crispy nachos, there's something for everyone.
The Frida Kahlo margarita is one of the best margaritas we’ve had. We loved that and the Al pastor tacos! It was a great place for dinner, and highly recommend going!

I'm happy they're open again! 😁 (Went here on 07-Jun) We ordered Carnitas Oaxaca and Cochinitas Al Pastor tacos 👌🏻 The pink drink in the photo is the Frieda Kahlo margarita. The place was still on soft opening during our visit, so they only accept cash. I would have wanted to try the churros for dessert 🥺 but I was full already after my 3rd taco. Would be more fun to eat here in a group so that you could order more taco flavors, share, and get to try them all 😀

Small portions, besides the three tacos. The local salad was really disappointing, you will expect more on your plate for 380 pesos. The chili con carne was a bit too dry and sweet. I liked the vegetarian tacos best, but the dressing was too intense. I scraped it off Service charge of 5% but why🤷

Was looking forward to trying this place based on the good reviews here. Although the food was nicely plated and served promptly, it just lacked on big mexican flavours and seasoning. Was looking forward to the cheesy nachos but it wasn't really cheese, just some kind of white milky, fridge cold white sauce. Weird. Fish tacos OK, although fish a bit sad and soggy. Would not recommend the veggie tacos. Super bland

We might have caught this place on an off day or something but this was not good. The cocktails were ok and the service was good, but the food was not. Everything was quite bland and tasteless and missed out on Mexican flavors in general. Basic seasoning and spices lacking. The guacamole was not made out of avocado (maybe a little, but very little in that case), but on green peas. Understand if avocado is hard to get, but then 86 the guacamole and say you have a green pea salsa instead, instead of selling it as guacamole. The white sauce, some kind of aioli looking thing, split within minutes as well. Not sure what it was - we asked for sour creme but got this.

Nachos were disappointing--stale chips. Meat was okay but toppings overall were very sparse. Forgot to snap photos of our burritos but we had the Al Pastor and Chili Con Carne burritos. They didn't come with cheese and we were told we couldn't add cheese. They were pretty good sized burritos but didn't have a lotta taste/flavor, although they did come with some guacamole and Chipotle mayo type of sauce. The best part of the burritos was probably the seemingly home-made burritos wrap itself, which reminded me of Naan, which I quite liked. Great service.

It opened recently but this is the place to go in Corong Corong if you want a real coffee and an early, delicious breakfast (see menu in the photos). It opens at 7am and you have many choices, such as healthy sandwiches and smoothie bowls. We would gladly return to this place - the staff, the food and the owner are all awesome! (They also serve late afternoon and evening meals, but we have only visited in the morning. )

Very nice Mexican place! Food was excellent! I got the tacos and they were great but a little small to be super filling after a hard day of snorkeling. Others in my group got burritos and those looked more filling!

If you're in the El Nido area and looking for some good burgers, then you definitely need to check out THERY'S Burgers, Fries & Shakes. You can create your own burger with whatever toppings you like, and the fries are fantastic too - they even have their own unique ketchup! It's a bit pricey, but overall it's an excellent choice if you're in the area.
The burger was really good, and it’s customizable—you can choose whatever toppings you want to add. It’s definitely on the expensive side. I think the place is owned by a foreigner (not sure if that’s a factor), but it does feel pricey. One unique thing I liked was how they stamped the burger bun with the name of the place. It’s a nice touch and made it feel a bit fancy. Overall, we liked everything we had and enjoyed the meal. It was a good dinner, so if you’re in the area, you might want to give this place a try.

Was really surprised to find such a great burger spot in this part of town! You can fully customize your burger (or hotdog), and the fries are honestly that good. Also had the best mango shake I’ve tried in El Nido. To top it all off, their waffle (which you can customize too) is legit Belgian-quality. Says it all, really. (:

Delicious Burger and real Belgian fries! Soft and tasty bun that was toasted just right. You customize your burger from meat or meatless to cheese and three free toppings. Burger topping chose was blue cheese, carmelized onions, sautéed mushrooms and jalapeño. No lettuce or tomato. Plus special house sauce. That was literally the best burger and fries I think I’ve ever eaten. And then I had a fresh papaya smoothie to finish it off and help with the digestion of all that protein due to the natural digestive enzymes found in papaya.

Slightly overpriced , but still decent I ate here the other day and while I did enjoy what I ordered , I feel maybe it was just slightly a little overpriced. Some people may not think a couple of hundred pesos makes a big difference , but trust me , when your living here , it goes a long way. I didn't try the deserts , but it seemed like maybe the pricing was more balanced. It is situated on a main road , so it's certainly not for families wanting to unwind , or couples seeking a romantic wine and dine for two , but for backpackers and people wanting to get a freshly cooked decent burger with home made fries , with the addition of some tasty deserts , with some cool tunes in the background , then it certainly ticks those boxes for a good place to come to. Im defo coming back to try some other burgers and deserts , so will update again. Have a beautiful day everyone , God bless ✝️ 🙏 ♥️

Meh experience at Thery’s. Ultimately the thing that stood out to us here is that it’s VERY overpriced. Food was not bad, triple patty burger was actually pretty good. The nachos pretty poor, and fries were average at best. Perhaps most shockingly..the fact that you have to pay 30 pesos for a side of ketchup for fries is criminal! Even the cheapest restaurants give ketchup for free. Honestly it just kinda gives off tourist trap vibes :/

Thery’s Burger in El Nido is a cozy gem for burger lovers. They serve satisfying portions and perfectly grilled patties. The burgers are juicy and packed with flavor, with just the right balance of toppings and sauces. Pair it with their crispy fries or creamy shakes, and you’re in for a treat!😍🍔🥤 Their nachos and hotdogs also taste amazing!😍 It’s a must-try spot if you’re exploring El Nido or Palawan for that matter. My husband and I travelled to El Nido ONLY to try this ever-famous restaurant and the food they're serving exceeded our expectations! And now we're back for the holidays and here we are again sampling their yummy food!🍔🍟 A plus point is the owners who are friendly.😀 There's also free wifi with fast connectivity. They have a parking slot and they are pet-friendly!🐶

Really nice experience we had here! Warm welcome, very good food, from the burguer to the fries ( here u will have propper fries, the belgium ones ) and their waffles, everything was super tasty. The people working there were very kind. The place also has a really nice vibe and well decorated too, with some of the most famous Belgium cartoons. All in all we loved it. We will come back for sure. Keep up the good work!
