mostly came in here to investigate the halloween stock and find some hello kitty stickers i found online. unfortunately i did not like the stickers when i saw them in person. i loved all the halloween decs! i’m nervously awaiting christmas stock to arrive. i did not like the basket/trolley left on the floor (pictured) i nearly fell over! what a hazard! if i wanted to go to a shop that leaves things out for customers to trip on, i’d head on over to asda. still, i like this shop and i’ll check in on it every so often.

Great shop for the most part that sells just about everything! Reasonable prices as well.

They lie and cheat !!!!! they deliberately mislead the customer by putting the price of another product and there is no real one at all !!!!! I politely informed that the price on the shelf is different but the fat woman with glasses did not want to listen to me at all, she called the manager who came with a bad attitude and did not even want to listen to me, he only shouted at me and tried to make fun of me !!!! he said it was his goodwill that he puts the bottoms on the shelves next to the goods because he doesn't have to !!!!! he was so unpleasant for me as a client that if someone from you is working on this man, he did not introduce himself but is fat with glasses, please check his services because the manager is evidently dismissed, he is very incompetent! until the cashier was ashamed she was much nicer than him !!! i will never come back here again !!

What a great bank holiday lunch sat in the sunshine in a beautiful pub garden. From the moment we walked in, greeted with friendly staff, great atmosphere. Family's, Hells Angels, Locals, Dog owners just super. Pub food in a safe and happy place. Loved it and see you again. Thank you very much

We only had starters here as we weren't to hungry but they were lovely and will return tomorrow for a main. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 👍
Marc G — Google review
The most terrible food we've ever ate! For the price of a good butcher steak we got the cheapest, uncooked!!! (It was not medium as ordered, it was just hard dry and uncooked)smelly steaks, there were only veins/greeze, hard as a shoe sole! Prawn cocktail was inedible. Soft drinks were hot and not fresh. Service is not good, not friendly waiters. The only one nice thing about the place is a garden. Do not recommend and won't come back.
Lina H — Google review
A lovely place. We met up with old friends. It was halfway for both of us. The garden area was quite big and lots of tables. The food was good and the drinks cold. We had a great catchup. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. As were all the staff.
Mandy N — Google review
I am Macedonian. The food was cheaper than in Macedonia! The taste of the food- delicious! Ordered more than we can have! The drinks- incredible! Absolutely on our way back. We’ve celebrated my aunt’s birthday, and the staff were fabulous and very polite as well as welcoming and friendly. Recommend going here for best food around and great time! Well done! 🫶🏻
Viktorija S — Google review
Advertised as accessible but steps to restaurant and small step through fire exit that we could not get the electric wheelchair over. Took over an hour from ordering food to bring served. 2 medium rare steaks were ordered but what arrived was grey and obviously well done. We returned one only to be told no sirloin remained (possibly why the originals had been served?). So we accepted rump which took another 20min but was perfectly cooked. The one that wasn't returned was luke warm and even the peas were cold. The vegetarian Thai curry was tasty if a little watery. The staff were apologetic about the service but we will not be returning

Our booking was accepted at last minute. There was a very nice atmosphere, staff were helpful and very nice. We were one of two groups dining at the time. Our table was clean, but whatever is used to clean table with, left table very sticky, as if table had been cleaned by a soda of some kind. Admittedly we were a group of nine. We placed orders for starters and mains all meal,. Our meal arrived all at one time, starters and mains. One of the dishes ordered was a sloppy Joe pizza, though was very very tasty, the outer ring was burnt black. When the server was questioned as to why all dishes were supplied at once, we were advised, this was because we were such a large group (we were 9, and one of two groups dining at that time 🤷). Other than that, dinner was delicious and enjoyed by all. At 20:15HH we decided we would like pudding, and tried to place our order for such to be advised the kitchen was closed for business, which was disappointing for the children in the group Though the staff were very pleasant and food served very tasty,, with exception to the burnt pizza crust (black), I wonder how they would have fared if the dining area was full of diners waiting for food. This company have so much potential, ………..

The Corby International Pool offers a variety of amenities, including a fun pool with exciting features such as a pirate ship, Aquatube body ride, and diving boards. The swimming facility also provides lessons for children at different stages taught by experienced instructors like Karen. However, the maintenance of the facility could have been improved as only one out of nine hair dryers were working during one visit.
Great facilities. 50m pool (not available All the time) training pool and play pool, diving area, health suite and gym. Membership is great value.

Very good swimming pool with a lot of space. Good babs and toddler area. A lot of lockers and changing cabins. Health and spa suite is also good. I really enjoy visiting dry sauna. Cold and warm showers available. Everyone can get to Health and Spa suite with other door behind the cafeteria. Gym at the top floor is very well equipped. A lot of machines, weights and dumbbells. Power lifting area. A very large studio for classes. Everyone can use it outside the timetable. Price is very good comparing to other places.
Mat K — Google review
Our son always enjoys swimming here but today was the first time I swam here too. I use the pool for walking rehabilitation. The 1.8 metres is too deep for this but the 1 metre is a bit too shallow and I'm dodging toddlers. Hopefully visiting during school hours will be better for this. Our son enjoys the 1.8 metre pool and the large tunnel slide (check that this is open before visiting). There is a lot of seating in the spectator area but I noticed a lot of the seats where I looked were cracked and this made me worry about the weight limit for them! The changing rooms are quite clean and a very far cry from the grim facilities at our more local pool, but a lot of the lockers were out of service and there was no signage to indicate this, so we spent about 5 minutes wondering why they weren't working, along with other customers. I did notice a few dirty plasters and food crumbs (?) poolside which made me anxious as I have sensory issues around cleanliness and it took a lot for me to actually get in the pool. It's a shame that the car park outside is pay and display, even for Blue Badge holders. There is a cafe which serves hot and cold drinks and snacks. I've had a coffee here before, no issues.
Laura R — Google review
Amazing facilities but why make it so hard. Go online and you are told to register. Registration fails and instructed to contact pool. Chance a traditional pay on the door and the car park machines are useless. First is broken. Second has unreadable screen. It takes my pound but provides no ticket. Does not take cash. So use card, buy ticket, receipt produced but no ticket. This not a ticket printed on receipt. Go to reception. Car park nothing to do with them. We pay to get in. Relief. Lockers require wrist band we do not have. I abandon my swim and spectate (with locker contents) while the girls wait for big slide to open. Young staff are friendly and professional. Shame really as I won't be back.

Lovely pool apart from the twerps chucking hard balls about near the littlies in the 20 mtr pool, lifeguards should have perhaps had a word. Food in the cafe was nice and dad, 4 and 6 year old spent many hours splashing about! Clean and well organised facilties, very nice staff at reception, chef was also a nice chap and obviously cared about his food. Hope to be back soon, highly recommended!
Mark M — Google review
Great for little kids in "The Pirate Pool" area. Cheap enough. Booking in advance for this section is a must though as it's limited space. Parking is a nightmare. Not enough spaces. If you have small children and wish to attend the pirate pool, turn up a good 15 minutes early for the session or you've got no hope.
Ben K — Google review
Highly recommend for parents with small children, the pirate pool is great for little ones and its heated, would say you need to book ahead of time. Facilities are decent, misses out on one star due to changing rooms being very cold.
Laurence R — Google review
Great pool. Easy to access. And very clean. I would recommend fixing some of the chairs in the spectators area as cracked and maybe a grab rail as stairs are steep.

Nestled in the heart of England, Kirby Hall stands as a magnificent testament to Elizabethan and 17th-century architecture. Once the residence of Sir Christopher Hatton, who served as Lord Chancellor to Queen Elizabeth I, this grand country house boasts an impressive array of richly decorated walls that reflect its owners' innovative spirit throughout history. While parts of the mansion remain roofless, it only adds to its charm and allure.
A Total Discovery This elegant house once welcomed King James 1 and visually is stunning. What it must have looked like in 1600 s has to be imaged. It can be gleaned from the decor of the remaining rooms how grand it was. The gardens are good too reflecting the style at the time. Do visit this hidden gem.

This place is a well hidden gem. It is a bit hidden and remote but it is a well worthy day out. The ruins are beutiful. The gardens and the Roman sculptures truly take you back to the 17 century. Great English Heritage site to visit. There is free parking next to the site.

This is a lovely old building. Larger than most historic houses and although most of it is a ruin it is intact enough to give a really good impression of what it would have been like. There is a small shop but either bring a picnic (lots of outside tables) or eat at the nearby Lyvedon which has a very well run cafe with gluten free and vegan options.

Beautiful ruins. So peaceful and tranquil. Went there on a weekday and at 3:30, it was just me and my hubby in the whole property. Lovely and large grounds. A little shop where you can get tea, coffee, ice-creams but no proper tea rooms. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Lots of peacocks and peahens who are used to the visitors. One came and sat right next to me when I was having my hot chocolate. Overall a wonderful day. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful house, half in ruins now. I think they're installing a new exhibit sort of thing inside the building which will be good when finished. Overall it's an interesting house!

Very nice remains of a once glorious manor house, lots of classic architecture to see, one section of the house still stands with the roof and internals intact including a beautiful roof, there's also a nice laid out garden to look around.
Gary B — Google review
Was closed due to the "windy" weather, unfortunately. However there is a public footpath next to it, so we saw the outside. It looks really big, and a nice looking building, with about a third possibly still intact. The grounds are nice and would be a good place to enjoy a picnic in the summer. Turns out the weather wasn't that bad and it was a shame no one was on site to tell us a bit about the area.

Fineshade Wood, located within the ancient Rockingham Forest, offers a range of family-friendly activities and amenities. Visitors can explore walking paths, a forest horse-riding trail, kids' playgrounds, and an art gallery. The Grounds Cafe at Top Lodge provides freshly made picnic options for families returning from woodland activities. This rare habitat is home to native wildlife such as woodcocks, red kites, rabbits, foxes, and deer.
I have been visiting here for over 5 years, enjoying the walks. It’s beautiful, miles of well signposted trails for short walks or longer treks. The annual parking pass is reasonably priced and well worth the investment, as you can’t get bored of the peaceful environment. The cafe offers good food and drinks, at a fair cost. In summer time there is also a nice outdoor seating area. I’ve hired bikes and the staff were helpful and it added to a day out. Toilets are clean and easy to access. Overall I’d highly recommend this little bit of peace and calm, for solo walkers, couples or families. Walkers, runners or cyclists alike.

Great place for walking along parts of the Jurassic Way. You can also see the remains of a motte and bailey castle known as Castle Hymel which now has Fineshade Abbey in the middle of it. There is also an old disused railway line which you can walk along parts of.

A very nice walk along well made up paths. Signage for the different routes was very clear. Initially I thought that the car parking was expensive (£3.50 for 1hr. £6.50 for 2hrs) but on hindsight well worth the money especially if you have a family. Didn't try the café so can't comment. The toilets were nice and clean

Absolutely beautiful place we did two trails and a wonderful time with my boyfriend and his best friend. We saw lots of buzzards, red kites and even a kestrel. The toilets were something to be desired portaloos for the guys and the womens were all broken with no loo roll. The cafe was also overpriced but all in all it was a wonderful day. Would definitely go back ❤️

I need to express my disappointment with my recent visit. Despite it not being a busy night, the bar staff took an unacceptable 40 minutes to serve our cocktails. Furthermore, the state of the restrooms was quite troubling and in need of urgent attention. I must say, while the cocktails were enjoyable, the overall experience left much to be desired. I urge you to address these issues if you want to encourage repeat customers like myself.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's Corby - The Peel Centre is a well-established fast-food destination, famous for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. However, some customers have reported issues with their delivery orders through the McDonald's app, noting that items are often missing or arrive cold. If you're considering a meal from here, you might want to think twice and explore other dining options instead!
Avoid this branch at all costs. Every single time there's an issue, whether it's going through drive thru for a simple order you'll be parked up for 15-20 minutes without fail, I cannot remember the last time I've got my food at the window. Or every single delivery order has missing items, I've had whole meals missing at breakfast, or drinks missing other times. Don't think I've ever received sauces that I've paid for. Last order missing drink, sauce and bacon off a bbq BACON wrap. This store used to be good but genuinely whoever is running it now is incompetent because these issues are consistent and at all times of the day, franchiser needs to make changes because the other Corby branches are fine. Just drive further if you can and do not give this store your business unless you want long waits and missing items.

Been going to this McDonalds for a number of years, but more recently have been finding that the standard of service has gone down. Plenty of times we’ve ordered on the app, gone through the drive through to collect to be made to wait in the car park for another 10/20 mins to receive our food. Occasionally there would be a sauce missing or something small but we could always forgive it. Today we ordered for them to bring to the parking bay to bypass the pointless faff of going through the drive through just to have to park up anyway. We received our food after 15 or so minutes and we get home and straight away realise the new Mac and Cheese triangle sharebox was missing as well as the ketchup dip ordered. Went onto the app to find the store’s phone number to see if we can get the situation resolved and rang about 7/8 times and never received an answer it just rang out every single time. I don’t think I should have to drive back to get in contact with them they should be able to answer the phone. Will start using different Corby stores.

Cold chips, missing sauces which I noticed and asked for whilst in the driveway. Went home and missing the add on chicken nuggets and straws! Orders need checked before you give the items to people.
Sarah L — Google review
My son ordered from just eat at 10.50pm he waited over an hour so he cancelled and tried again at 00.35. Again it took far too long he tried to cancel and the app wouldn't let him this time. His food turned up at 2am absolutely freezing cold. Sort it out mcdonalds supposed to be fast food 3 hours is absolute joke

Keep putting the phone down on me refused a refund for 5 selects and a hole arch meal money for nothing incompetent staff can't be arsed to check there order before the send it and I'm nearly 20 quid out of pocket how is that customer service do the care no money grabbing robbers avoid delivery its a cold dinner con no customer service 20 quid for a coffee chips and 2 bbq sauces for the food that never turned up what a joke of a company never again incompetent to the core completely hopeless can't even put food in a bag

Cancelled the order order for the first time through Just Eat was so excited being in a village location ordered up past 9 x 11 o’clock they kept delaying it and delaying it saying there was no driver! Till the order took my money I called the restaurant. It rang and rang and rang. Nobody answered it was engaged before that just a quick sorry for the delay would’ve done. in the end of cancelled the order what I don’t understand is Domino’s Pizza is right next door to McDonald’s in Corby They got it here within half an hour

Guests have noted the recent improvements in decor and quality, making it an enjoyable dining experience.
Had a great all you can eat breakfast at Oakley Hay. Everything was cooked fresh and the quality was of the highest standards. My wife had vegetarian sausage and bacon which we ordered as we were seated she really enjoyed it . Big shout out to the chef as everything was cooked to perfection. Also a big thankyou to the gentleman that served us so sorry I never got your name but can be seen working away in the 1st picture. This morning it was really busy but as they say quality speaks louder than words. Without hesitation we will definitely be back when we are in the area. Very well executed breakfast with exceptional service and at a reasonable price would sum it all up. Thankyou to all the staff at Oakley Hay Mike Collins Cheshire

Typical chain restaurant / pub... normal decor to the rest of the chain, nothing particularly special. Food and drinks are quite expensive, wouldn't eat here unless I had a money saving voucher, which seem quite frequent this time of year. I had a "fillet" steak, it wasn't the worst I have ever eaten, but definitely nowhere near the best either, it wasn't far off a rump. The "skin-on" chips were disappointing, more like oven chips you can do at home. The beef off the bone was better, and the potato wedges were "unusual". As all places, drinks were expensive and not a great choice of beer really. We were there early and the staff were friendly, it soon got busy (due to the bogof promotion I presume), so I did feel sorry for them as they were probably short-staffed.

We have been coming to Oakley Hay Beefeater for years now, mainly for breakfast. We have come as a couple, with the kids and with family and friends and every time it's always been fantastic service and lovely food. We usually deal with James who is always nothing but helpful, friendly and as we've been coming for that long we always have friendly banter with him, he's become apart of the whole reason we visit as often as we do, fantastic guy! The restaurant is clean and tidy, the whole team are amazing and we've never had a bad meal! It's out favourite place to go for breakfast. 😊

This is our second visit to this restaurant. We booked again as we had such a pleasant experience on our first visit, our waitress was very congenial and the food was of good quality. I was relieved that I had booked as it was exceptionally busy and a few people were turned away. I recommend that you prebook to guarantee a table. Our second visit didn’t disappoint either, we arrived early for our booking so that we could have a drink in the garden. We were shown to our table and our server, Rachael was excellent from the offset. She was very welcoming and advised what wasn’t available and reconfirmed our order, ensuring that all our dietary requirements were met. She was consistent in her service to us throughout our meal, ensuring that we had sufficient drinks and time to choose. We didn’t feel rushed and the atmosphere was refreshingly relaxed. When we came to pay she asked if we had any vouchers, which by chance my sister had which saved us 25% off of our bill. Thank you Rachael for your wonderful service! This is a fabulous restaurant and all of the staff here are lovely and very hard working. Beefeater you are lucky to have such wonderful staff!

Had a rump steak, medium rare. Not impressed all gristle and sinew. It's not hard to dress a beef cut. I'm very disappointed and a waste of £17... You must do better than we don't trim the meat. We just cook it. I thought it was all about attention to detail served from the grill. Very low down on my list of Beefeaters, and I go to many throughout the country on my travels.

Stopped for a quick bite on our journey. Did good and the service from Rachel was great. Such a warm, friendly lady. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you, Rachel!

James gave outstanding service this morning, as no vegan sausages or bacon was out he got them ordered and brought them over to the table. You can see James takes customer service seriously and setting an example for the team to follow. Was very busy this morning and James was multi tasking and taking on many roles to ensure the service was provided.

We had a family lunch here today. We found all the food to be really well cooked and presented and the staff were really friendly. This is not cheap eats but we felt the quality justified the cost. We will return when we’re next in the area.

We only went for drinks. A warm friendly environment, really friendly staff and probably the best chips in the world. Just like my Nan used to make them xx

We went for a meal at this public house, having read some reviews,we were expecting to have a good evening, what a disappointment. One of the meals we ordered was a mixed grill £23.95 the steak didn't look nor taste like steak! There were no hash browns, nor was there any egg! The manager eventually came over, but he appeared to think we were making a fuss about nothing, though we had paid for a full meal and received just three quarters of what we paid for! Avoid if you are looking for a hearty meal.

I recently visited Weldon with a group of friends for a long weekend. We visited both of the pubs in the village and found both to be friendly and welcoming, despite both being very busy on Friday and Saturday night. We visited the George Weldon on the Saturday for something to eat and a few beers. The pub was very busy but also friendly. We couldn't initially get seats together, due to the size of our group, but managed to get a couple of tables together a little later. We all ordered food, which was really tasty, service was very good and reasonably priced. We stayed for a few more beers, and couldn't fault the place. Lovely atmosphere, great service and very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Awful service, waited over 90 minutes for a meal that was booked well in advance. When approached the staff, to our amazement, the large table of people were served before us but although they arrived before us, they had not reserved or booked a table. We eventually had enough and decided to leave. The staff in question eventually let us have the drinks on the house. The manager was unavailable for comment when we asked to see him.

My Son and I stopped off here for a Sunday lunch. Expecting it to be busy, but wasn't. The service was prompt from the friendly staff. The roast was lovely nice and hot and tasty too..our only grumble being we should have gone for a small roast. Thank you. Recommended
