Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in a convenient location, Oakley Hay Beefeater is a delightful pub-style chain that specializes in serving up an array of grilled meats alongside international favorites like fajitas. This steakhouse has garnered attention for its solid food offerings and excellent service, creating a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of the 70s. Guests have noted the recent improvements in decor and quality, making it an enjoyable dining experience.
Had a great all you can eat breakfast at Oakley Hay. Everything was cooked fresh and the quality was of the highest standards. My wife had vegetarian sausage and bacon which we ordered as we were seated she really enjoyed it . Big shout out to the chef as everything was cooked to perfection. Also a big thankyou to the gentleman that served us so sorry I never got your name but can be seen working away in the 1st picture. This morning it was really busy but as they say quality speaks louder than words. Without hesitation we will definitely be back when we are in the area. Very well executed breakfast with exceptional service and at a reasonable price would sum it all up. Thankyou to all the staff at Oakley Hay Mike Collins Cheshire

Typical chain restaurant / pub... normal decor to the rest of the chain, nothing particularly special. Food and drinks are quite expensive, wouldn't eat here unless I had a money saving voucher, which seem quite frequent this time of year. I had a "fillet" steak, it wasn't the worst I have ever eaten, but definitely nowhere near the best either, it wasn't far off a rump. The "skin-on" chips were disappointing, more like oven chips you can do at home. The beef off the bone was better, and the potato wedges were "unusual". As all places, drinks were expensive and not a great choice of beer really. We were there early and the staff were friendly, it soon got busy (due to the bogof promotion I presume), so I did feel sorry for them as they were probably short-staffed.

We have been coming to Oakley Hay Beefeater for years now, mainly for breakfast. We have come as a couple, with the kids and with family and friends and every time it's always been fantastic service and lovely food. We usually deal with James who is always nothing but helpful, friendly and as we've been coming for that long we always have friendly banter with him, he's become apart of the whole reason we visit as often as we do, fantastic guy! The restaurant is clean and tidy, the whole team are amazing and we've never had a bad meal! It's out favourite place to go for breakfast. 😊

This is our second visit to this restaurant. We booked again as we had such a pleasant experience on our first visit, our waitress was very congenial and the food was of good quality. I was relieved that I had booked as it was exceptionally busy and a few people were turned away. I recommend that you prebook to guarantee a table. Our second visit didn’t disappoint either, we arrived early for our booking so that we could have a drink in the garden. We were shown to our table and our server, Rachael was excellent from the offset. She was very welcoming and advised what wasn’t available and reconfirmed our order, ensuring that all our dietary requirements were met. She was consistent in her service to us throughout our meal, ensuring that we had sufficient drinks and time to choose. We didn’t feel rushed and the atmosphere was refreshingly relaxed. When we came to pay she asked if we had any vouchers, which by chance my sister had which saved us 25% off of our bill. Thank you Rachael for your wonderful service! This is a fabulous restaurant and all of the staff here are lovely and very hard working. Beefeater you are lucky to have such wonderful staff!

Had a rump steak, medium rare. Not impressed all gristle and sinew. It's not hard to dress a beef cut. I'm very disappointed and a waste of £17... You must do better than we don't trim the meat. We just cook it. I thought it was all about attention to detail served from the grill. Very low down on my list of Beefeaters, and I go to many throughout the country on my travels.

Stopped for a quick bite on our journey. Did good and the service from Rachel was great. Such a warm, friendly lady. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you, Rachel!
Mary J — Google review
James gave outstanding service this morning, as no vegan sausages or bacon was out he got them ordered and brought them over to the table. You can see James takes customer service seriously and setting an example for the team to follow. Was very busy this morning and James was multi tasking and taking on many roles to ensure the service was provided.

We had a family lunch here today. We found all the food to be really well cooked and presented and the staff were really friendly. This is not cheap eats but we felt the quality justified the cost. We will return when we’re next in the area.

Nestled in Corby, The Evs is a delightful spot that promises an enjoyable experience for all visitors. With its modern decor and welcoming ambiance, this pub offers a fantastic selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Guests have praised the attentive staff who ensure everyone feels right at home, whether you're stopping by for a refreshing drink after an appointment or enjoying a lively evening with friends.
Had a great evening here. Very clean. Friendly staff, most of them knew what they were doing, some of them didn't seem to have a clue, maybe bar work just isn't for them. The live music was ok. Great place to visit

We came into The Evs in Corby after our doctors appointment and we were feeling thirsty, We decided to go to the bar and ordered our Pepsi Max and the staff were very kind and attentive. Our glass came with ice and it was delicious. There was a nice range of seats which was appreciated, we sat next to the pool table and it was quite quiet when we came over but we had a lovely time. We wanted to have some lunch here but when we enquired if the restaurant was open and it wasn't, which was disappointing but we want to come back again to try their food out.

Not nice calling yourself dog friendly pub, took 45 mins on foot to get to this place with friend for a drink with our dogs and was refused entrance, due too many people... We saw there was couple tables free outside in the garden and our dogs are two well mannered dogs, would not do any harm to anyone for sure.... Went to town center and had no problem being seated in another busy pub, so will not recommend and not return.

Knights Lodge has quickly become my go-to spot for a delightful meal and refreshing drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially when you can enjoy a cocktail by the open fire while waiting for your food. Despite being busy, the service was impressively quick, with friendly staff ensuring we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Dining here with friends was a treat; we were seated promptly after ordering our drinks at the bar.
Born in corby 50 years ago first time in the knights lodge. Well what can I say.. bar is beautiful nice cozy with fires everyone friendly. Went up stairs for food absolutely delicious and so so cheap.£15 for a mixed grill which was massive. Definitely going back would highly recommend..
Kevin L — Google review
A lovely meal had with friends. We were welcomed by friendly staff, drinks ordered at the bar, and then seated quickly. Our food orders were taken, and the meals arrived reasonably quickly, with the food being hot, delicious, and wonderfully presented. We all enjoyed our tasty main meals and opted for deserts, which were equally hot and delicious. Prices were quite reasonable, with four adults eating with drinks for around £50. I would have no hesitation to recommend Knights Lodge for a Sunday meal, book in advance though to avoid disappointment!

Fantastic food never disappointed, freshly made , and very big portions . Brunch today and it was lovely Lovely old pub upstairs for dining too . Friendly staff service . The atmosphere is lovely to dine in or just have a drink .
Sam M — Google review
My first visit, and I will be back. There's a restaurant area upstairs. It is bright and clean. The menu has great prices and contains pub meal favourites. There is also a "Lite-bite" menu of sandwiches and baked potatoes. They are willing to make sensible substitutions, e.g., swap peas for egg. I ordered at the table and was immediately asked to pay with the portable card machine, so it's much like ordering at the bar. This is convenient as we were able to leave when we'd eaten instead of waiting for the bill. I had the rump steak for £11.25. A generous plate of chips and a very tender and tasty steak, cooked as requested. My friend had scampi, chips and peas, which was around a tenner and also good quality and plentiful. The meals arrived promptly. I highly recommend the food here for value for money and quality.
J P — Google review
Had one night here as work away a lot, with out a doubt the best food I’ve had in a very long time ! Shame it’s so far from home as I’d be here a lot :-) Lee the barman was extremely friendly and make conversation and I also met Sam the chef as I’d complimented the food. Highly highly recommend

Would I eat there again, yes. Food was nice and of a reasonable standard, staff very nice and helpful, nice setting ample parking at rear, seemed very quite but was mid week.

Quality is quite good mains had lamb and beef extra 50 pence very good thick gravy Yorkshire puddings a let down Dessers reasonably priced but apple pie was microwaved a shame as real apple pies . Horse raddish delicious . service good staff polite and well mannered . The pub itself nice set up rustic and original ground level upstairs modern and bright . With good outside garden and tables and ample parking . Could have been a five but as stated let down on Yorkshire puddings and desserts .a well deserved 4 star

Restaurant
Nestled in Corby, The Manor Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that stands out for its fresh, homemade dishes and the enthusiastic service provided by students honing their culinary skills. Guests rave about the friendly atmosphere and attentive staff, making every visit enjoyable. With a menu that showcases quality ingredients rather than pre-prepared items, diners can savor each bite knowing it’s crafted on-site.
A really enjoyable experience, the students were all really polite and pleasant the food was tasty and clearly all made fresh on the premises unlike many restaurants who use catering supplies for things like fries, wings and burgers. Is the the same standard as a decent restaurant, no, but it's definitely better than many I've been to and fantastic value. Plus the students are learning and developing which is important.

Roast was not nice at all. Roast potatoes very small dry. Parsnips and carrots rock hard. Yorkshire to eggy. Will not go back, I appreciate they are training but it's not rocket science to cook food through.

Great little place, stopped in after a very long drive, just to grab something quick, but this was unexpected. Really busy, but lovely coffee, great hot chocolate and a good burger, salad and chips! Good prices, definitely a good stop after shopping. If I'm ever in that neck of the woods again, would return!

Fantastic food served with a smile from a lovely family owned restaurant. It's a dying breed so should be really applauded for continuing to offer such fantastic food. Tried a few different dishes across a number of visits and it's always been fantastic, always busy with takeaway and dining in custom and worth it every single time! Definitely one to visit if you're looking for a great, good quality meal with really affordable pricing. Top marks!

Nice little café. Service was good, food was good, décor was nice. The only reason for the three stars was the chef appeared and his apron looked like it hadn't been washed for a while. Made me think hygiene. Sort that out then it's a good four stars.

We arrived at Cafe Mozart in Corby to have some lunch. There were plenty of seats, and it was spotless. The menu was great, and I liked that there were a lot of options which I liked. McDonald's is a beloved fast-food institution that has stood the test of time, famous for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. During my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of ordering through the McDonald's app—no long waits here! The staff greeted me warmly despite the bustling atmosphere. My meal included a sweet chili wrap paired with a refreshing Sprite, along with a delightful pineapple stick and a sharebox of 20 nuggets accompanied by three tasty dips.
Staff are welcoming, approachable extremely friendly mannerisms, understanding the needs of those somewhat confused with the computerized ordering system. Our orders were completed very quickly too the usual high standards expected at McDonald's. I'd recommend it to anyone who's hungry 👍😋
Tracy C — Google review
Finally, we waited for it! I am hope you will surprise us! And this place will be nice and has plenty of room! The food is gonna be hot and the display works. Update ‼️‼️‼️ After the renovation on 25.10.2024 , it became even worse, the design of the room resembles a very stingy and pitiful look. The furniture looks like they have saved a lot of money on it. The toilet was terrible and remained on the first floor, even no one fixed the door well, dirty floor, toilet, sink all the time, it looks like it is cleaned once a month. It's just terrible!!
Vita R — Google review
I went in with my daughter on 3/8/25 at around 13:40 to complain about the takeaway I had ordered on 2/8/25 (I paid for 9 chicken selects but there were only 6 in the box ). The manager was very rude and didn't care at all. She left us at the counter and walked away, however, the junior staff were very apologetic. Please check your takeaway before leaving as the orders are always incorrect at this place ( McDonald's , Corporate Street, Corby).
Edmond K — Google review
The food was okay , nothing spectacular but nothing horrible . HOWEVER I have a bone to pick with the security guard at this Macdonalds . I a 16 year old asian girl wanted to use the bathrooms as I have just came onto my period and so I asked if I could use the bathrooms. The security guard asked me, as I was going up to the bathrooms ,if we had ordered anything .I in response had said we have ordered things earlier which was true and in response to that the security man said it doesn't work like that this is a restaurant. I am outraged as Macdonalds has never been a restaurant and the security man didn't let me go to the bathroom ,it has been a family friendly place in which people can be joyful in . Ronald Macdonald would be very disappointed with the hostility towards future customes. Do better . It is pathetic.
Rebecca A — Google review
I want to give a massive thank you to Alfie at McDonald's! I was in a real bind, with only minutes to catch the last bus. I was parched and knew I needed a drink for the long journey. I explained my situation to Alfie, and he completely understood! He didn't waste a second, quickly coordinating with his colleagues to get my order ready. His quick thinking and genuine care saved the day! I made my bus thanks to him! Alfie, you're a fantastic employee, and I truly appreciate your help. You're a McStar, and I wish you all the best in your future!

Food is on point every single time. Service and atmosphere is always great too. In the bar, I've had many great nights, especially a couple of impressive live bands. I love what they do on Remembrance Sunday every year too. A really nice thing to do for all veterans & their families.

I came with my partner. I can speak for myself when I say we had an amazing night! The restaurant area was the perfect volume. We could hear the quiet music and still have a private conversation without the need to shout. Our host, Debbie, was absolutely lovely and gave us a fantastic service whilst serving the rest of the restaurant. The food came out to us before we could finish our first drink and it tasted absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection! We even saved room for a delicious dessert! 10/10 will recommend to family and friends!

Having been for lunch here before I felt the range of meals was less than on the previous visit. You could not fault the generous portions that were served up. The food was well cooked and presented. The waitress was helpful when serving us. The lounge where the food is served is quite large so would be difficult to create a convivial atmosphere but for those who like to have a good peaceful meal out at a reasonable cost I would definitely recommend the White Hart, Corby.
Stewart M — Google review
We were a last minute booking and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We made the staff aware that we had a wheelchair user as part of our party and the staff put out a ramp without us asking. The food was home made and comforting and the service was excellent. We would definitely recommend the beef brisket pie and the apple and blackberry pie. Thank you!
Paula H — Google review
Stopped here for a meal, menu looked appealing with a good range of options. A pub of 2 half’s, large bar area, plenty of space and can imagine can be a lovely evening. Then to the restaurant, very friendly staff, menu had a good choice of options for all tastes. Decided to try the haggis’s bonbons for a starter, they have to be eaten to be beloved, could quite happily eat those all night. But decided a main course of the steak pie was the one for me! Very generous portions and home cooked feel, freshly prepared, and great value.

Subway is a popular casual chain known for its customizable sandwiches and salads, offering health-conscious options. The Corby location provides a pleasant experience with friendly greetings and ample time to make selections. Customers particularly enjoy the Philly steak and meatball marinara sandwiches on hearty Italian bread, as well as the delicious cookies. While some wish for mobile ordering at this store, others rave about the nacho chicken footlong with seeded bread and generous helpings of mayonnaise.
I ordered the double meat, double cheese, footlong with crisps and cookie. The team here should recognise that I hope. Thank you for the kind note. I promise I'm not as fat as you guys may imagine. I'll come say hi one day 🫶

The Subway in Corby is a nice sandwich store where I can have any sandwich I want. When coming in, I always get greeted and then given time to decide on my order and I've found my sandwiches to be lovely, especially Philly steak or meatball mariana with hearty Italian bread and I love their cookies too. I do wish mobile ordering was available here as there have been times when I've been on the app and I try to order it and it's not for that store but another one on the other side of Corby. The only gripe I have with Subway is the app is very annoying to use when you have a new phone since you need to sign in through email and password then you need to confirm the email again every time and that's annoying especially if you've forgotten your password.
Jake M — Google review
This is the worse subway I've been too. Rude and ignorant staff. Don't advise of extra costs. Over charged and the food gave both my kids stomach ache.. They talk in oen language so customers don't understand. I honestly wouldn't even give this place 1 Star but it won't take the review unless I do

I can understand that restaurants can get busy and I’m not the one to be like this because I understand what it’s like working in a restaurant that’s busy. But to wait for 2 hours! For this! If a customer is waiting 2 hours for their food you can at least make it at the same quality as you would when you’re quiet! £50 on all this food for it to be pink in the middle of the chicken, clumpy Mac and cheese sauce and soggy chips with clumpy and running sauce. My partners burger is black and so over cooked that it’s falling apart. Least you can do is to refund this food. Absolutely inedible. Thank you to Nathan, I believe, for being so apologetic regarding our wait and offering free milkshakes for our next order due to the long wait times. Thought the food was bad this once, their customer service was good An email has been sent to you regarding this. The Udder Guy Corby.

This place looked good from outside. Once inside it's not quite finished with raw wood visible. The gables have a really nice burnt wood effect on them. We had the lunch deal for £8, a burger, fries and drink. It took 15minutes to arrive which wasn't a big deal, however the place was empty so I can understand how some reviews have mentioned a long wait time. We had to ask three times for condiments which was pretty poor we thought. the food was very average, not a premium burger but better than fast food chains. It was ok, but nothing more.

Great first experience in the Udder Guy! What a fantastic new Manager! Really personable and friendly, very attentive to your dietary requirements, likes and dislikes. The vegan burger was extremely tasty :) The plant really adds to the ambience.

Best burger in Corby by far! Server was super nice, food was immaculate. Tender beef, lots of toppings, all fresh, worth the money, will be coming back for more 100%

Stopped into the udder guy for their milkshakes. I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile by Nathan who tempted me into buying a large milkshake his customer service was amazing, very chatty and friendly, I got the irn bru milkshake whilst I got the mother bubblegum shake, (other flavour shakes are available) the interior is lovely and also very clean the atmosphere is cozy and definitely a place to visit with friends or even a little pick me up shake

I recently visited this place with my dad and two daughters, and I have to say, my eyes were definitely bigger than my belly! One of the best parts of our visit was being able to customize our own burgers exactly how we liked them. My kids can be super fussy eaters, but they absolutely loved it! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure everything was perfect for us. My eldest even said it was amazing! Everything was fresh, delicious, and left us all satisfied. We’ll definitely be coming back!

McDonald's Corby - The Peel Centre is a well-established fast-food destination, famous for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. However, some customers have reported issues with their delivery orders through the McDonald's app, noting that items are often missing or arrive cold. If you're considering a meal from here, you might want to think twice and explore other dining options instead!
Avoid this branch at all costs. Every single time there's an issue, whether it's going through drive thru for a simple order you'll be parked up for 15-20 minutes without fail, I cannot remember the last time I've got my food at the window. Or every single delivery order has missing items, I've had whole meals missing at breakfast, or drinks missing other times. Don't think I've ever received sauces that I've paid for. Last order missing drink, sauce and bacon off a bbq BACON wrap. This store used to be good but genuinely whoever is running it now is incompetent because these issues are consistent and at all times of the day, franchiser needs to make changes because the other Corby branches are fine. Just drive further if you can and do not give this store your business unless you want long waits and missing items.

tried to get a refund on the burger was an incorrect. The one behind the account’s name is Sharon. I asked her politely and she refused. Stop messing up my order. Please avoid this place.

Been going to this McDonalds for a number of years, but more recently have been finding that the standard of service has gone down. Plenty of times we’ve ordered on the app, gone through the drive through to collect to be made to wait in the car park for another 10/20 mins to receive our food. Occasionally there would be a sauce missing or something small but we could always forgive it. Today we ordered for them to bring to the parking bay to bypass the pointless faff of going through the drive through just to have to park up anyway. We received our food after 15 or so minutes and we get home and straight away realise the new Mac and Cheese triangle sharebox was missing as well as the ketchup dip ordered. Went onto the app to find the store’s phone number to see if we can get the situation resolved and rang about 7/8 times and never received an answer it just rang out every single time. I don’t think I should have to drive back to get in contact with them they should be able to answer the phone. Will start using different Corby stores.

Cold chips, missing sauces which I noticed and asked for whilst in the driveway. Went home and missing the add on chicken nuggets and straws! Orders need checked before you give the items to people.

My son ordered from just eat at 10.50pm he waited over an hour so he cancelled and tried again at 00.35. Again it took far too long he tried to cancel and the app wouldn't let him this time. His food turned up at 2am absolutely freezing cold. Sort it out mcdonalds supposed to be fast food 3 hours is absolute joke

Cancelled the order order for the first time through Just Eat was so excited being in a village location ordered up past 9 x 11 o’clock they kept delaying it and delaying it saying there was no driver! Till the order took my money I called the restaurant. It rang and rang and rang. Nobody answered it was engaged before that just a quick sorry for the delay would’ve done. in the end of cancelled the order what I don’t understand is Domino’s Pizza is right next door to McDonald’s in Corby They got it here within half an hour
