Lookouts
Colline du Château, also known as Castle Hill, is a historic hilltop park in Nice that offers breathtaking views of the city and the sea. The climb up the stone steps to this hill is short but rewarding, with turquoise coasts and apricot-colored roofs spreading out before you as you ascend. From the summit, you can enjoy grand vistas of the Old Port with its yachts and sails, as well as distant views of the snow-dusted peaks of the Alps.
We reached the top by cart. The road itself is beautiful, the nature and remains that we saw prepared us for the view and the pigeons, wonderful, white ones. The view of the place is fantastic, and a large part of the park is left for children and adults to enjoy freely. A great place to spend the day. The view of the waterfall, from above, leaves an unusual impression. It may take a bit of sanding, but the experience is unforgettable.
Ana F — Google review
Wonderful place and totally worth the climb! Tip: go in the morning, the sun hits the hill on the other side. You will get better views and will avoid the crowds. Also, if you go in summer, it's way cooler!
Christie B — Google review
Coming here in the rain turned out to be an excellent idea — there were almost no people around, and the views were still amazing. A bunch of viewpoints overlooking the city and the sea, walking trails, waterfalls, parks… it feels like someone was playing a video game and packed everything into one place. A beautiful experience.
Filip P — Google review
The Colline du Château is also known as Castle Hill. It has several ideal lookouts / viewpoints from where you can see the best views of Nice. At the top there is even a terrace with a couple of benches, occasionally with a musician - there was a drummer when we were there. In addition to many scenic walks and viewpoints, there is also a waterfall, archeological ruins, playgrounds for children, and a cafe. It’s hard to miss seeing the Colline du Château from the famous Promenade d’Anglais and whether ascending either by steps on one side or a ramp on the other, it’s worth the effort. Spend an hour or the day as there are plenty of public restrooms and a couple of snack kiosks. Highly recommend!
Nanita — Google review
Stunning views as everyone else said. There are shaded areas with some lovely views where you can relax and enjoy the moment with a gentle breeze. Small tip: bring a water bottle with you since there are a couple of green water taps around. Otherwise, water costs 3 euros from the food place nearby.
Ege D — Google review
Amazing view point for Nice and a good day out for sure! There is a lift you can take to the top of the hill which definitely improves the accessibility. It is decently busy (but what else would you expect). Upon my visit there was 2 people I encountered who seemed to be a little pushy to get people to take pictures with their Doves in exchange for money.
Grace — Google review
Quaint little walk up through the narrow corridors bustling with bars and coffee shops, opening up into a scenic and natural path up towards the best birds eye view of Nice, passing by a natural waterfall. A great and easy thing to accomplish while visiting Nice, and a great photo opp.
C C — Google review
Beautiful waterfall and beautiful view from top! There is elevator, you can go up with stroller + there is kids playground! 🙌🏻

Art Museums
The Modern and Contemporary Art Museum (MAMAC) is housed in a modern tower-like building and features avant-garde art from American and French artists. Visitors can explore the works of influential avant-garde artists such as Yves Klein and Niki de Saint Phalle, as well as classic pop art and new realism pieces from prominent American and European artists. The museum regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions, including on its rooftop terrace, which offers sweeping views of the city.
This is a fantastic museum with lots to see. My ticket gave me access to the exhibits and permanent collections. It was beautifully curated with detailed - but not overwhelming - descriptions of each section. I went to several museums in Nice and I would highly recommend this one. Plus, the views of the city (from windows inside the building and also the circular roof terrace) are magnificent.
Amy — Google review
Great place to see modern art from not only France but all around the globe from different historical periods and movements and by different artists. Wonderfully structured and organized exhibitions on 4 floors. You can easily spend at least 2 hours contemplating all the art there.
Boris S — Google review
This museum is excellent, offering a plethora of things to see. I was utterly stunned by the Niki de Saint Phalle collection. Additionally, there is a terrace with a wonderful view of Nice, making it a great place to spend time after the exhibition. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind
Sofia N — Google review
The permanent collection is interesting with amongst others the blue work from Nice born artist Yves Klein The temporary exhibition with African art did not impress me much. Too much copy-paste from "western" artist. The top level is open, and the sections connected with bridges so you can walk around have good views of the city below. There is even a small garden there.
Seimen B — Google review
Nice museum, a lot of space to walk around. Unfortunately there could be a bit more art especially more modern art. Yves Klein is nice to look at. For a few euros more you can buy a museum pass to see all the other in Nice as well. That’s good.
Andrew M — Google review
Weird and wonderful art here. Interesting enough to spend 1-2 hours. Modern and creative ways of portraying political messages. Well worth coming if you like art, otherwise perhaps not worth 10€ per adult. Several floors here, so you can always skip the less exciting ones. A great view of Nice from the top platform.
Toby R — Google review
The staff is nice, but the museum is dirty and dusty, and it seems grungy. The coolest part is the roof or you can walk up and down these bridges to go all around the building and give you fantastic views. The place has great potential but it’s very tired, dirty and dusty. The Gardens looks like they might be under construction and there might be a plan to fix them up. I hope that’s true because it’s a space with incredible potential but right now it’s just ratty.
Nettie A — Google review
I highly recommend this contemporary art museum. It has a wide variety of exhibits, and the quality is quite good. It features renowned contemporary artists as well. I also strongly recommend visiting their rooftop, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Nice.

Nestled in a stunning 17th-century Genoese villa, the Musée Matisse is a captivating homage to the renowned artist Henri Matisse and his deep connection to Nice. Surrounded by ancient olive trees, this museum offers an enchanting exploration of Matisse's artistic journey, featuring an extensive collection that spans from his early masterpieces to his later groundbreaking works. The vibrant colors and dynamic forms on display reflect Matisse's love for the Riviera’s breathtaking landscapes and lively atmosphere.
A small museum showcasing the things that inspired Matisse. A focused but modest collection, perfect for Matisse fans or a tranquil cultural stop. It might take a bit longer to get inside, but you can walk through it fairly quickly. I felt it could use a few more visual displays. Still, for Matisse lovers like me, it’s a lovely museum, set within a very large park.

Excellent Experience at the Matisse Museum Accessibility & Location: The Matisse Museum was easy to access, with convenient public transport options and nearby parking. Clear signage guided visitors smoothly to entrances and exits, and the walking paths were comfortable for all ages, including elderly visitors. The surrounding area was peaceful, clean, and well-kept, making the approach to the museum pleasant. Entry & Organization: The entry process was well managed — ticketing was quick and efficient, lines moved fast, and staff at the entrance were polite and professional. Informational materials and signs were clear, accurate, and helpful, setting the tone for an organized visit. Ambience & Presentation: The museum’s atmosphere was calm, elegant, and perfectly suited to the spirit of Henri Matisse’s art. The lighting and layout allowed each piece to be appreciated properly, and the building itself reflected the artist’s world beautifully — bright, airy, and reflective of Mediterranean harmony. The spaces were spotless and comfortable, with good temperature control and crowd management. Exhibits / Features: The artworks were well-curated, offering an engaging journey through Matisse’s evolution. Photography was allowed where appropriate and managed respectfully. All artwork explanations are in French only, with no English translations. For a museum in such a popular tourist country, bilingual descriptions should be standard. Staff & Visitor Support: Staff were visible and courteous throughout the museum, always ready to assist when needed. The facilities, including restrooms and the gift shop, were clean and well maintained, adding to the overall comfort of the visit. Value & Experience: The visit offered excellent value — beautifully organized, inspiring, and educational. The Matisse Museum delivered exactly what one hopes for: a serene, thoughtful experience surrounded by art that celebrates color, form, and emotion. ⭐ 4.5 / 5

a true gem for anyone who loves art, color, and calm. Set in a beautiful villa surrounded by olive trees, it offers not only a glimpse into Matisse’s artistic journey but also a sense of serenity that’s rare to find. Walking through the rooms, you can feel how deeply Matisse loved light and simplicity. From his early sketches to his joyful cut-outs, every piece tells a story of experimentation and freedom. I especially loved seeing his personal objects and drawings — they make you feel closer to the artist as a person, not just a painter. The museum is not large, but that’s part of its charm — it invites you to slow down and really look. The staff were friendly, and the surrounding park is perfect for a quiet stroll after the visit.

The Matisse Museum in Nice is a true gem for art lovers. Located in the picturesque Colline du Château area, the museum impresses with its blend of modern exhibition spaces and historical architecture. The collection features over 200 works by Matisse, from early sketches to mature paintings, as well as graphics, sculptures, and personal items. Each piece reflects the artist’s unique vision of color, form, and light. The exhibition is thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to follow the evolution of Matisse’s style. The atmosphere is calm, bright, and inspiring, creating a comfortable and emotionally engaging experience. The staff is polite and helpful, and guided tours or audio guides are available to gain deeper insight into Matisse’s work. For anyone who appreciates art and wants to experience the magic of color and form, the Matisse Museum is an absolute must-visit in Nice.

Beautiful museum, I visited during the Matisse Méditerranée exhibition, a spectacular collection that shows Matisse’s multiple artistic skills and interests. We visited on Monday afternoon and it was quiet. We bought some really nice paintings at the museum shop.
Carina K — Google review
Highly recommend this piece and place. I walked from Nice old town, it's a bit of a slog and uphill but on a clear sunny day, it's nice to see the suburbs. The museum itself is great, over 3 floors and plentiful of art to see. The shop is a delight, picked up some Matisse prints for a cheap price.
Marky — Google review
A nice experience in Nice 😉 Though I must admit, I often wasn’t sure what I was meant to ponder in the details. That being said, I believe once I stop before a painting, let my eyes rest on it, and find my attention caught by any small detail or contrast in colour, then the artist’s purpose is served.
Yulan Z — Google review
The Matisse museum showcases the breadths of work of Matisse, from oil paintings, paper cutouts to abstract works, stained glass, and sculptures. The exhibit is larger than it seems from the outside, as it includes two subterranean levels. Wheelchair accessible. Nice gift shop.

Plage des Marinieres is a popular narrow beach in Villefranche-sur-Mer, offering calm and clear waters along with scenic views. It's the main sandy beach in the area and easily accessible by train, making it a favorite spot for tourists and locals alike. While the beach can get crowded, especially towards the western end, those seeking a more tranquil experience can head to the eastern side. The availability of parking nearby makes it convenient for visitors.
Came here in March. It was not busy as nit summer but good weather. Beach is sandy in most parts. Has toilets dotted across the beach. Clear blue waters. Beautiful
Joshua S — Google review
A beautiful sandy beach open for the public. The train station is immediately above the beach so there is a good and fast public transport to the location. There are also quite a few bars, restaurants and beach bars around, though there is not a market place in sight. We went there in the afternoon and the water was very dirty, maybe it was due to the sea currents, not sure.
Daniel — Google review
Quiet beach compared to the main sand strip in the area. Self cleaning toilet close by, two showers and huge parking area. Water was clean and calm, very relaxing with few people around.
Larissa V — Google review
Great beach with a mix of sand and pebbles, mostly public and refreshingly free from pushy sunbed vendors. It’s fairly small and can get crowded, but when we visited, there was plenty of space. The crystal-clear water is perfect for snorkeling - just watch out, as I did get nipped by a fish!
Robert B — Google review
Clear water, sandy beach. Some buffet around to take drinks and food. You can rent paddle to enjoy Villefranche. Perfect location in SoF
Berkay A — Google review
Heaven on earth! What i personally loved was that the beach is little small pepples and not sand, some may not like this but it was a life saver as we went for a walk around the town after having a beach day and we wernt covered in sand, the small pepples washed off so easily and they are not uncomfortable, we sunbathed and were swimming in the water every 15-20 minutes. The water is as clear as glass and so warm! Lots if little fish around it is perfect for snorkelling! Will definately visit again!
Gemma M — Google review
A calm and peaceful beach, perfect for relaxing or a quiet swim. The area is clean and well maintained, with paid parking and toilets available nearby. Just be mindful of jellyfish (méduses) at certain times of the year. Overall, a lovely spot to unwind by the sea.

Historical villa with distinct Greek and Egyptian design themes. Very good listening tour. Easy to get to via bus.

I was absolutely amazed by this villa — I didn’t even have enough time to take everything in. There’s so much to see, every detail catches your eye. Everything is done with such taste, and it’s a timeless design — you could easily live in these interiors even today. I truly enjoyed my visit.

Amazing experience! The visitor is submerged into a fantasy of living like a Greek god, but with contemporary to the 20th century comforts. Allover very fine and stylish neogreek interior is decorated with the real museum collection of antiques. The views from every window are very picturesque and poetic. Beautiful heritage of a famous archaeologist Theodore Reinach is now accessible for any curious and enthusiastic visitor.

Chez Rene Socca is an old-school cafe located in Old Town that specializes in flat-breads made of chickpea flour, known as socca. The place is always bustling with locals and French speakers lining up to grab a plate of this local street food. Despite the chaos, the service is quick and the prices are affordable. You can enjoy your socca at sidewalk seats or take it for a late-night snack while strolling around the city.
Two of us had all these! And they are amazing! The socca, fish, chicken, they are all very tasty. They have a policy where you have to order a drink if you want to have a seat. We were standing eating and it was not bad at all. Strongly recommended.
Hooi ( — Google review
Decent place for affordable food. I liked the socca, but the pan bagnat was rather bland (it’s really big, however). The service was very friendly even when the place got super busy. Card payments are accepted for purchases of €10 or more. Must order drinks to dine in.
Eki R — Google review
Stopped by for drinks and had a great, relaxed time. The place wasn’t too busy, which made it easy to get served and enjoy the atmosphere. The drinks were affordable, and overall it’s a nice spot to unwind, especially if you’re looking for something low-key.
Ruben A — Google review
We went to this place to eat the most hyped French snack socca And we realised that’s similar like our own “Indian cheela” It was just made with chickpea flour, water and oil. No added salt or vegetables how we have in India. Overall a great place to visit and enjoy.
Ankur V — Google review
joined a long queue at saturday 1pm and had to wait over 30 minutes for food. slightly overhyped, food was very oily. we really liked the aubergine and the stuffed vegetables. the sardine was quite fishy, and socca tasted burnt.
Aly — Google review
Sadly, we didn’t have a good experience here. The food was nothing special and tasted overly oily, without much flavor. The service was awful—a man came around to take drink orders, but he only reached our table near the end of our meal. The atmosphere was also unpleasant, with pigeons flying overhead and landing on tables. We had much better experiences at other restaurants in Nice.
André J — Google review
Great place to try Socca when in Nice. You have to queue up at the counters to order. The queue goes round the corner past two counters. If you sit inside you have to order a drink (table service). A bit confusing for the first time visitor, but still worth a visit.
Ryan W — Google review
I have been going there since I was a little kid. It’ll never get boring and the waiting line will be longer each time! What started as a little hole in a wall takes now a full corner. Enjoy Socca in situ or take away, if you decide to eat it there please accompany it with a glass of local wine preferably rosé and don’t forget to add lots of pepper, and brag you ate Socca like a local! How to know it was good?? Cooked on the edges and olive oil moist in the center. Bon appétit!!

Circe Restaurant in Beaulieu-sur-Mer offers a conceptual dining experience with Mediterranean influences. Operating hours vary by season, and they also offer a Sunday brunch. The restaurant has luxurious interiors and serves delicious food, with options for set menus at reasonable prices. The staff provides excellent service, making the overall experience delightful. The restaurant's design is entertaining and incorporates fun elements, including unique bathrooms.
We enjoyed our dinner in Circe, dishes are so delicious, service is great, waiters are attentive! It was perfect choice for going out. Thank you for all, I'll come back! ☺️
Viktoriia H — Google review
The design of the restaurant is really nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. At first, a waitress took our order for drinks and food. Then we waited a long time without any updates. Eventually, a different waitress came to our table and told us she was actually responsible for our table, and that because we hadn’t ordered from her, our order didn’t count. So we had to order everything again, which delayed things even more. When the food finally arrived, entrecôte was a real letdown. It was full of fat and incredibly hard to chew. We couldn’t even finish it because it was so tiring and unpleasant to eat. That being said, the drinks and cocktails were very good, credit where credit is due. But overall, the service was unorganized, and the quality of the food didn’t meet our expectations.

Banh Mei is a charming Vietnamese canteen located in Nices Old Town, where a Vietnamese-French couple skillfully combines the flavors of Vietnam and the Mediterranean. The kitchen, led by Thi-Hieu Nguyen, offers seasonal delights such as bibimbap, wontons, and focaccia during the day. Meanwhile, sommelier Renaud Chateaugiron curates a natural wine selection to complement the dishes.
Had a great dinner. The server fit us in without a reservation and we had a wonderful evening of vegetarian food and natural wine. Felt very healthy and fresh. Definitely recommend! A lovely view. Especially on the daytime. Wonderfully fun server.

One of the best restaurants in Nice. The menu is always super tasty and new dishes are introduced regularly. The owners are very sweet and service minded. It’s a great place for lunch and dinner and watching the city.
Fanny C — Google review
I feel like this place had great potential. The server was kind of rude and didn’t think I understood French when he talked about my lady and I to another table. Secondly, I live near a large Vietnamese community and have come to know the flavors well and the food that was put in front of me didn’t live up to what it ought to be. I’m a chef and would normally never dog another chef, especially a female one cause I love y’all but I think all of the dishes need major work. Especially that pulled pork sandwich.

Haute French restaurant
French restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Beaulieu, Le Restaurant des Rois is located within La Reserve de Beaulieu, a historic establishment dating back to 1880. Originally founded as a seafood restaurant by Pierre Lottier, it has since evolved into an exclusive hotel and dining destination on the French Riviera.
Magical cuisine for a magical location. The excellence of French cuisine with an outstanding creative twist. Food, service, view, everything here will take you in heaven.

Excellent service, setting and food. The staff was very polite but and professional, but also warm enough to feel comfortable. And the food was exquisite. We got the 7 course meal, perfect!

Absolutely a dream of a place for dinner overlooking the water, cliffs and hills, yachts . Historic hotel was gorgeous. Food was fantastic, unique, inventive tasting menu. Appreciated the attentive young ladies who served our table. Gave less than 5 stars as I had the unfortunate experience 3 times no less of male servers bumping into my chair . The first time it was of course forgiven with a smile, but it got annoying and was because of tight space between ours and a very full and loud table that marred the atmosphere of calm. Suggest to shift the seating ever so slightly. Still it was a special experience worthy of a visit.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Plage de Passable. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is an elegant early 20th-century villa featuring nine distinct gardens that offer stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Situated in Cap Ferrat, it holds significant historical and cultural landmarks such as the Chapel of Saint Hospice and Villa La Fiorentina.
Absolutely magical! It’s every bit as beautiful as on pictures or even better. Wonderful place for a little morning-afternoon stroll - breathtaking views, beautiful gardens, tons of history and culture all in one place. We also visited the restaurant they have their and the food was also lovely (though nothing spectacular taste-wise).

This was the highlight of our entire trip, take a short bus ride from Beaulieu Sur Mer, it's worth loading Lignes Dazur as this can be used on both bus and trams in the area. Entry is up hill so I recommend comfortable shoes and clothing as there is quite a lot of walking to appreciate the villa and garden in full. Entry fee is 13 Euros per adult which is very reasonable considering there is no time limit and you can stroll round and appreciate the beautiful interior and exterior. They offer a guide device in several different languages, they do require a identification for these to be provided but it is very informative and provides detailed guides throughout each area which is numbered to ensure you are able to take in the history. Upstairs there is a short film about Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild. The gardens are beautiful, each have different themes and a wide range of unique plants, flowers, statues and photo perfect views.

It's location for a luxury villa cannot be battered. You have stunning views of two bays from this elevated position a hundred or so feet above the sea. The villa is beautifully built and well maintained with interesting gardens which are beautiful with huge numbers of plants, water features and colourful flowers. Even though the villa was only built in 1912 it feels due to the workmanship, especially the masonry carvings that it was built a hundred or so years earlier. It's not a particularly large residence (unlike Waddesdon Manor in England). This I understand was their 'winter residence' which I could quite happily live in! The sun is out, not a cloud in the sky, no breeze. It is truly a magical place

Beautiful gardens with a stunning villa. Very tranquil settings for various style gardens offering plenty of shade. Inside the villa the rooms are carefully displayed with lovely paintings and antique furniture. A must to visit , highly recommended.

An absolutely stunning villa—perfectly designed, full of emotions and history. Every detail, from the elegant interiors to the breathtaking gardens, is flawless. A true gem of the Riviera and an unforgettable experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stunning villa with views of the sea from all sides. Definitely worth a visit if staying in Nice. Not the easiest to get to but Uber is available if needed. An absolutely scenic drive to get there. The interior is okay but it's really about the views from the windows and the garden. Just unreal and lots of opportunities for great photos.

Absolutely stunning. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the most beautiful and memorable places to visit on the French Riviera. If you’re anywhere near Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, make the time to go. The villa was built in the early 1900s by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild. It’s filled with antiques, artwork, and rare porcelain, but the real highlight is outside. The gardens are on another level. There are nine of them, each with a different theme. The French garden has a beautiful fountains. The gardens are serene and beautifully designed. Every turn feels like a new discovery. What makes it even more special is the view. On one side, you see the Bay of Villefranche. On the other, the Bay of Beaulieu. You feel surrounded by water and sky, with the gardens stretching out in front of you. The villa itself is very well preserved. You get a strong sense of the baroness’s personality and taste. The audio guide is included with admission and adds just the right amount of detail without feeling too long. Plan to spend at least an hour and a half here. There’s also a café if you want to stop for a drink or a light bite. If you’re driving, try to arrive early since parking is limited. You can also get here easily by bus or taxi from nearby towns like Nice or Monaco. Whether you’re into history, architecture, gardens, or just beautiful places, this is worth every minute.
Joe B — Google review
This beautiful belle epoch villa belonged to the Rothschild family. The villa is still originally furnished. The second highlight besides the villa are the gardens: nine separate gardens focus on roses, cacti, japanese plants, or succulents. There is a tearoom and a restaurant on site. Stunning views of the coast.

Plage des Fourmis is a serene oasis located near glamorous Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The beach offers a mix of shingle and sand, complemented by tall palm trees that add to its elegant aesthetic. Visitors can take leisurely strolls along the beautiful Promenade Maurice Rouvier, which runs along the coastline from the beach to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and back towards Nice. The area also provides opportunities for activities such as sailing, kayaking, swimming, and boat trips.
Really beautiful beach, stunning views of the rest of the coast. Water is very clean and clear, great for swimming! There’s a shallower section with jellyfish netting too for safety! I personally preferred swimming further out not in the netting but the option is great!

This is a really nice beach with clear water and a great vibe, perfect for relaxing or going for a swim. Just be aware that it can get quite busy, especially in the afternoon or on weekends. If you’re looking for a quieter spot, it’s best to go early in the day. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The water was very dirty — we swam only once and didn’t want to go back in. The beach itself was quite clean and we didn’t notice any bad smell, but the water quality was awful. Don’t recommend it. ✊🏻

A far more tranquil beach compared with the main beach in Nice. Here it's a semi Sandy beach (course sand) which is far nicer than a pebble beach. However, the U.K. Sandy beaches such as Bournemouth are so, so much better.

Gorgeous location, terrible service. We arrived midday on the off chance there would be beds available. We were informed only the double beds at the back were available for £170 for half the day which we reluctantly agreed to. We then witnessed multiple people be offered the single sunbeds at £55 throughout the afternoon we appeared to not have booked either. There appeared to only be 3 staff members working the beach and the service became the real disappointment of the day. We spent an hour trying to flag down a staff member to order drinks and some food. Eventually we ordered and went for a swim. When we came back our drinks still had not arrived and we were told we hadn’t ordered with the specific staff member that holds the only device you can order from. After ordering again, the food and drinks arrived quickly and were okay - nothing amazing for the price. It then took another hour to flag him down for a second drink. The location is 10/10, the most gorgeous clear water we have swam in and beautiful views. However the service, price and overall attitude of the staff really let it down. We paid considerably less at a different beach club for more food, drink and quality service.

The restaurant at the Plage was excellent. Great lunch experience, Superb and delicious food, great beach vibe and good service. Charged Parking is available close by. Beach chairs are exorbitant at Eur 100 a person. The restaurant is directly at the beach and you can go into the water right after your meal which is excellent and convenient.

Beach was super rocky and hurt until you got in at about the waist. I wish I brought slides or waterproof sandals to wear. Service wasn’t great at all. They never checked on me after my food was delivered to see if I wanted another drink

Off season it’s a great beach, calm and you get the sun in the afternoon, the water is clean and you have a nice view. You also have toilets and showers. In the high season I don’t recommend it at all. Its full and it’s especially full of people and young men (non European) that don’t respect anyone scream and are annoying so that the police has to come over and over again, and that next to a beach club that rents chairs for 100€

A truly memorable dinner in a setting that captures the magic of the French Riviera. It was my second time here for a special occasion, and I’ll definitely be back again. Our waiter, Ludovic, went above and beyond to make the evening feel personal and special. The perfectly cooked meat, exceptional wine, and one of my favourite views in the entire French Riviera, especially breathtaking at sunset, made for an experience that felt both intimate and extraordinary. A magical evening from start to finish!

Nestled within the Casino de Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Les Voisins Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that spans from breakfast to dinner. This charming eatery features a bioclimatic terrace with stunning views of Baie Des Fourmis, making it an ideal spot for any meal or even a leisurely tea break. The menu showcases Mediterranean and traditional dishes, with options ranging from local fish soup to delectable beef tartar and octopus.
An overall great meal at Les Voisins!! We picked this place as our first dinner in Beaulieu and could not have been happier. All of the food was delicious and the seafood was very fresh. We had the: Fish soup Daurade Tartare Shrimp saffron rissoto Another fish (can’t remember which one) as the plat du jour And the chocolate lava cake Our server Marc was very nice. He spoke with us throughout the night, gave us recommendations of things to try on our trip and ended the meal with some free digestifs of special rums! Great view of the water throughout the entire meal too! Pricing is pretty fair - not cheap but quality is very good

What a vibe. Sebastian is the most amazing host and the staff are attentive with some of the best cocktails and food we’ve had along the whole coast. Highly recommend a day bed and stunning view with regular swims and tasty food. Thanks team Anao Plage.

Really nice for a beach day out, on the more expensive side though. Unfortunately when I went there were a lot of jellyfish and I was stung a couple times though. They were trying to use a boat to clear them away but just too many. I went solo and by end of the day the whole row I was in was chatting and having a good time together. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I didn't have a reservation but they found a front row lounge for me and was very attentive and kind throughout. Close to train links as well

Beautiful beach club. Was able to order food to my chair. The water was clean and refreshing and the wooden path made it easy on the feet to walk to the water. I will definitely come back. The food was fresh tasting and the wine was great. Service was easy to get, you just need to flag someone down and they will come over quickly to help you with ordering or even adjusting umbrellas. Highly recommend for a nice beach day. They did start playing club type music and had a saxophone player around 1pm. It was loud but I liked the vibe a lot and was not so loud I couldn’t talk or be heard.

⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem by the Sea – Best Beach Restaurant Experience! If you’re looking for a beachside restaurant that checks every box, this place is it! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel completely taken care of—attentive without being overbearing, and always with a smile. The service was outstanding. Every request was handled quickly and with care, from food adjustments to extra napkins for the kids. It’s rare to find a team that’s so professional and welcoming at the same time. One thing that stood out immediately was the spotless cleanliness. The bathrooms were immaculate (yes, even at a beach restaurant!), which says so much about how much pride the management takes in keeping things top-notch. Everything felt fresh, tidy, and thoughtfully maintained. The view of the ocean was breathtaking, and the whole place had a laid-back, elegant vibe—perfect for a relaxing meal by the water. Whether you’re here for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch with family, you’ll walk away impressed. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back. A+ for service, cleanliness, and atmosphere !

Terrible tourist trap. The truffle was fake, the sauce wasn’t even emulsified. We had to leave within 30 minutes — awful food and a complete rip-off. EDIT (after the restaurant’s comment): I did tell the waiters, and they took the plate to the kitchen only to bring me back the same food. The pictures are before and after. Don’t talk about fresh food — I specifically asked, and the truffle was the cheap supermarket kind. The bread was underbaked. I would never leave a bad review without first raising it with the staff. The view is great, but the restaurant itself is simply not good.”

The restaurant African Queen has a vibrant and colorful interior with celebrity sightings, excellent food, and attentive staff. It is a great choice for a casual lunch or dinner in central Nice.
It was a great experience for our family and friends! The girls did everything they could to get us a good table. The food was delicious — we started with the artichoke salad and truffle pizza, paired with rosé. It was the perfect combination! There’s a parking service for €20 — super convenient! I recommend saving some room for dessert :) 🫶

So, we visited the restaurant on Tuesday, lunch time. I had a reservation but half of the place was empty. The welcome personnel is really not nice. My boyfriend went in to check if it is colder indoors before getting seated and three people jumped on him to check if he had a reservation. I would probably understand this unwelcoming behavior if the restaurant was full and it was Friday night:) I truly believe the personnel should speak English good enough to explain the dishes. At least, the basics. We had to order and be surprised how the dishes would look like. I also don’t do dairy so not possible for us to manage that. The fish soup is actually a not-so-common way of cooking bouillabaisse. It does not have whole seafood in it. Most people would expect fish in the soup. Some fish is blended. It is savoury but still the waiters should manage the expectations of the guests. The mussels curry: also a bit of a waste as the mussels are incredibly tiny and the pit is big so it is an hour to find some meat there. We left almost the whole pot. The curry itself is great but really nobody said it is a huge pot for 2 people and it is a lot of WORK:) All comes down to the fact that nobody presents the dishes or explains in English what is what. Like, they brought me the red soup with yellow mayonnaise, whole garlics and croutons. I had no idea how to mix it etc. Apparently, the seafood is blended into the broth, the garlic is make yourself a garlic bread and the mayo is to be put on top of the bread to after soak it in the soup. That was said in French to me 2 times but I still was not sure:) The setting is nice, the ingredients not bad, the artichoke salad is a hit, the service is sad.

I really expected African food... Only one plate was kind of related to it, it's basically an Italian 😅. The food was good and the service was very nice. Bit bother for standing up 40 minutes waiting for our reserved table to be set up Very nice atmosphere Warm goat cheese was a banger

The service is 5 stars and decor is great. Sadly the food was not amazing. I had the 'Soup de poisson frais' and an anchovy pizza. My friend had an artichoke salad. My soup was so salty I could not finish it and would have great to see some fish in it, but it was all blended up. The pizza did save my meal. If you have to get any food, go for pizza. They are thin dough size, crispy, and huge with a lot of anchovies.

Nice quiet beach, well when I visited in January, beautiful views and an ideal place to relax watching the sea. It was a short train ride from nice, about 10 minutes with the beach being a 10 minute walk from the station. It is well worth a visit if in the area

The view and atmosphere is amazing. Really worth to see the combination of cliffs, trees, and sea. The water is quite warm at the end of June. From distant, it seems a very beautiful sea but it is not. The sea is full of garbage like woods, napkins and it is not definitely crystal blue; it is has a muddy colour. And the smell, there is a nasty smell always. We had a one day holiday so we had to hire a sun-bed, and we think that it is definitely not to worth to spend too much since we could not swim properly only lie down on the sun-beds. I am wondering why this beautiful place is ruined like this it is a shame!

Beaulieu is a beautiful spot on the French Riviera - nestled in between Nice and Monaco - with lots of chic style but still retaining the quaintness of a smaller village This is our third visit here and we decided to treat ourselves to a night out at Sky Beach, part of the Casino. We arrived at about 10pm and it was just getting going, it’s a lovely outdoor setting and the music is funky. I’ve never seen so many bottles of spirits, champagne and rose wine taken to tables with fireworks!! We had a few glasses of rose and vodka and then suddenly a big party of guests arrived and our seats were needed to accommodate them - I kindly offered to move along to the next table but was told that we needed to settle our bill and go - as these tables were for bottles and high spenders. I will never forget the gesture of the manager Lin telling his minion that he needed to get rid of us - sweep to the exit !! Never again will we visit this elitist and arrogant place ... and please sack Lin, he’s a disgrace. He was more than happy to welcome us when we arrived when the club was quiet but couldn’t wait to get rid of us when his high rollers arrived Thank you for your apologetic response, I appreciate it. Trying to be constructive here, it just needed one of team there (and there were many) to explain this to us earlier in the evening when it was quieter or suggest we move to the bar from the ‘bottle’ table. To ask us to settle the bill and leave is not the way to treat any customer. The manager Lin is not a calm person and does not spread calm in his team, I observed him during the evening. He was incredibly disrespectful to us. You will see other similar comments in the reviews. He needs some serious feedback on how to treat customers

Nice spot, the open-air lounge bar is lively (pretty much the only place open late between Nice&Monaco in the summer). Reasonable cocktails, happy dance music, generally classy environment close to the beach.

Le Traiteur des Halles is a charming restaurant located on Boulevard Marinoni in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. It offers a diverse menu featuring French regional specialties, tapas, and tasting options. The kitchen is open all day from 7pm to 10pm, and the restaurant has a capacity for 45 guests indoors and 25 on the terrace. Access for disabled individuals is available with assistance, and dogs are allowed. The establishment also provides WiFi access.
We had a drink during happy hour(5pm to 7:30pm) which was reasonably priced. The additional touch of olives and grissini was great. The atmosphere was lovely and super location overlooking the market square. Will be returning soon!

The lady who explained the menu was very nice and friendly. Despite the language barrier she was really there to help you understand well. I like that attitude! Also welcoming to guests and has a service oriented attitude. The male staff who took my payment wasn't really friendly and approachable. He can be better perhaps inside the kitchen as facing the guests is not his strength. I would've put 3 stars to Service only because of his unpleasant attitude. But the lady who attended to me really made my experience nice in this restaurant. Central location and good ambiance. The food was ok. Not great but neither bad.

The daily suggestion beef tataki was especially amazing! I thought it was really good for the price! Went again and had chicken & sausage skewers, which was served with a really nice sauce! It was my favorite meal in Nice and I think they deserve better rating than this!!

Just a wonderful glass of white wine, a very reasonable price, excellent quality, beautiful and generous touch with the olives, which were also quality and mini grissini. Some places in this town can be outrageous on price compared to value. All on a lovely protected terrace, directly opposite the square. A real treat which I am going to do often.

A decent place for happy hour if you can get the dancing waitress to notice that you have been sitting here. But there were other staff that were busy. It just seemed that the waitress catered to locals. We stayed in Beauliew-sur-mer for a week or so and tried many of the establishments when not outside the city. The restaurant is perfect on Saturday evening when the market closes and the area is used for overflow and a band plays then fireworks.

Visiting from Canada and wanted to a coffee and breakfast while viewing the town square.... What a great find! Some much so, we came back in the evening for drinks after touring the town. Great place.

Stopped here on a whim for dinner after shopping with my mom. Everyone was so kind, food was great. Large portion sizes we had trouble finishing our dinner. We met the loveliest regulars who clearly had a great friendship with the staff. When I return to Beaulieu-sur-Mer I will be visiting once again.

the salmon and vegetables clearly came from the freezer, and the service was very slow. The Aperol Spritz was tasty, but for the price I expected more freshness and attention.

Belvédère de Villefranche sur mer offers a stunning and photogenic view of the Mediterranean, the town of Villefranche sur Mer, its bay, and Cap Ferrat. It's a perfect spot to take a break during your road trip with easy roadside parking and an onsite cafe open during peak tourist season. While some trees may partially obstruct the view, it remains one of the best viewpoints in the world.
Sweet views on the park with greenery and the sea. It’s worth a small climb for sure

Breathtaking views. If you want unobstructed views walk few minutes towards the tunnel. As if you are going towards nice. Just before the tunnel the view is the best. You will get fantastic panoramic photos of the bay. You may even see some sea planes! You can walk down to the beach if you got decent footwear as part of the trail is very rocky. Also need to fit! It is steep

Great find for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan food. (The gluten free options we had did have GF oats in). Had the avocado on toast, carrot cake and banana bread.

Terrible experience. When we sat down (me being pregnant), we were ignored for 15 minutes until I finally called the waiter over to ask for a menu. Instead of bringing one, he just pointed at a table where someone had left theirs and said, “you can go get it” before walking away. Then came the coffee, €6 for what’s supposed to be “specialty coffee”, but it was poorly made. When I mentioned it, the waiter first blamed the oat milk 🙄, then after remaking it (still not good), he came back and blamed the new girl making it… For a place that promotes its decorated cappuccinos on social media, the quality and service were shockingly bad.
Julieta C — Google review
Me and my family were here for a late breakfast and I did not really like the experience. Me and a relative ordered matcha. One cold and one hot. Both were cold. Our croissants were row inside. But it could be because there were a lot of people and the cooks had a lot to do.
Svitlana T — Google review
Situated opposite to the square. Nice view. Elegant internal decoration. Clean bathroom. Relaxing atmosphere. Open during afternoon hours while other places are closed. Cappucino was very good. Yet the dish that I ordered included fresh green salad but the tart was warm outside and very cold inside. I did not have the time to ask for a replacement.
Dora E — Google review
What a bad experience! My goodness, we came here last year twice when a couple of super lovely ladies helped us out at the table and even made some changes to a dish to ensure our allergies were ok. This year? A complete disaster! The man serving us and the elderly man at the bar scammed us! We ordered explicitly "Two iced decaf lattes with oat milk" and the total should've been €11.50 at most. The man tried to charge me €19,50 in the beginning and when I confronted him he said "look it says here two frappes" which we never had. He then changed the price to €16,50 which was still 5€ above what we should've paid. I'm sure he did this on purpose given how poorly he treated us because we spoke English (and he didn't, shame on him for turning away tourists from the region!!). A complete disaster and a mess, we won't ever return to this place! Much nicer places to choose from in their vicinity and they're extremely kind and welcoming of everyone! These discriminatory people deserve no business!

Super unfriendly service. We were together with my friend at the restaurant and asked for a table for four. Because restaurant was completely empty. We said that we are quickly just for a lunch. But the waitress screamed on us and told with a very rude manner : “ So, what????”. He ruined all the day with this vibe. The food was ok. Nothing special. However do not recommend at all!

I just felt in love with this restaurant! The staff is very friendly. I ordered a truffle pasta and a burger and both were served in less than 5 minutes. Unbelievable 😄👌🏽 and they both tasted like heaven. Beside the good food you have a nice view of the french riviera. I recommend this restaurant 100%!
Mahsa D — Google review
The food was absolutely delicious! We had three different dishes — one for the kids and two for the adults. The fish of the day, which was for the kids, was perfect — they loved it. I had the salmon with ratatouille, and it was incredibly tasty — one of the best ratatouilles I’ve had in France so far. My husband chose the daurade royale and really enjoyed it as well. The prices are reasonable for the region and well worth it considering the generous portions. We were dining with our two children, and the atmosphere was very family-friendly and pleasant. Owen, who served our table, was fantastic — he spoke English and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this place! One more advantage: we arrived at 9 PM and it was still open.

We had a table, literally right on the sand, just metres away from the tranquil sea and with a spectacular cliff face as a backdrop! Not only were the views sensational, but the service was exceptional and the food was great too. Hard to beat for atmosphere and location!

Beautiful location, the view of the cliffs over the sea is stunning. Water is a bit murky that impacts the experience. Jellyfish are a problem as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Truffle pizza was great but the ham pizza was without sauce or cheese and was a disappointment. Cocktails and wine were good but the proportions were on the small side...

Nice beach club with decent food. The service was up and down, but similar to most beach clubs in the area. However the stunning view and beautiful beach is the best thing about this place so definitely worth visiting!
Katie H — Google review
Delicious food, great cabanas. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the water in front of the beach club was pretty dirty. Of course this is no fault of the beach club, but it is something to take into account when choosing where to spend the day. I would recommend walking further down the beach as the water becomes a bit cleaner as you go.

If you have children, this is the beach club for you!! We visited from Canada with a 3 year old and a 6 month old. The water is very easy for children to enter, and the waves are light. There is a playground just steps away from the club, and a children's corner to play with some toys in the club. There's baby changing table was the best one I encountered in France. There's a menu for children, and the staff are amazing. We had such great service, great drinks. We felt very relaxed, welcome to be our silly young family self. My husband usually was the one to speak for the family in France, but the staff were very welcoming of our English speaking children (and myself!). If you're reading this, and inquiring about visiting with children- this is the spot for you! Short distance walk from the train station (a little tricky with a stroller, but we did it!). The scenery, food, margaritas were great. But, if you have children- this is the place!!

We are pleased by the experience in this restaurant ☺️. The food is very tasty with very good prices. We especially like the big choice of pizzas. There are not many waiters so they do not talk to the customer much, but do their job fast and properly. Good music is played, but there are lots of people and it is a bit loud. It hasn’t bothered us tho. A menu for kids is also available . Free focaccia is also served with the main dishes. Me and my family can only recommend this restaurant! 😉❤️

Lovely food and most of the staff are very friendly. However the manager (possibly) was quite curt and annoyed that our two year old was out of her seat (anyone who has had a toddler knows how hard it is to get them to stay in their seat) he asked us to get her to sit down as if we hadnt tried. As a result we didn't feel very welcome so we inhaled our food and then left quickly. Shame.

The Monument to the Dead of Rauba-Capeu is situated at the base of Castle Hill in Nice, and serves as a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Designed by renowned French architect Roger Pierre Honore Seassal, it stands 32 meters tall and features two intricate bas-reliefs depicting war themes created by acclaimed sculptor Alfred Janniot.
The scenery here is beautiful, and it’s a must visit if you’re in the area. The ocean is magnificent, and the monument overlooking it is truly amazing. Just be careful of the high waves that crash against the rocks they can splash you as well. It happened to me

Place David Niven, also known as Le Cap, has a rich history of hosting stars like David Niven and Gregory Peck. It's now frequented by Russian oligarchs, finance industry titans, Madonna, and Brad Pitt. The famous Villa Leopolda was once on sale here for half a billion dollars. The promenade even has a section named in honor of David Niven.
A gorgeous estate to admire from the outside. I took so many photos but started to feel like a stalker so I put away my phone and kept walking.

I love everything about this restaurant. The food. The staff. The view. They made one of the best lobsters I have had all my life. Yummm. Check them out if you are in this part of Nice.

The reviews for Bistrot du Port are consistently good and so my son and I were excited to visit. We certainly weren’t disappointed: the tuna tartare and the lobster salad were incredible, and our desserts were just as delicious. I had roasted pineapple, which was refreshing and decadent. I am glad I haven’t seen it elsewhere or I would be enormous. Definitely worth a visit but come early as it gets very busy, especially if you would like an outside table overlooking the port.

This place was spectacular!!! Probably one of the best meals of my life. Every course knocked it out of the park (fresh local anchovies, charred octopus, salt-baked sea bass, real truffle-oil arugula salad, creme brule). The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. Our meal ended with complementary limoncello (which was also spectacular). A 5 star dining experience Also - Nice is not known for shellfish. Mussels are imported in. This region is known for its fish, which comes into the harbor right across from the restaurant. Don't go anywhere else!

Hands down the best meal we had in two weeks in Nice! Beautiful creations by Chef Orsini and friendly personal service. We are foodies and carefully research each and every restaurant, this was the highlight with beautifully prepared dishes, the menu leans towards seafood but also has other choices. We stuck with seafood and fish. Stunning delicious fresh and bursting in flavor! The team clearly loves what they do, chef tended to my kids and us with a smile and jokes, and we were treated like the most special guests both time we visited, Once for dinner and once for lunch the next day. The view from the restaurant is also spectacular… Cannot wait to be back, thank you Chef Orsini and the team!

Le Bistrot du Por offers a fantastic dining experience with absolutely delicious food! Despite not having booked a table, the staff were incredibly accommodating and ensured we were seated. We started with the prawns & anchovies, which were delightful, and for mains, I enjoyed the Angus while my family had the cod and risotto - all dishes were exceptional. The service was second to none, and it was a fantastic touch that the head chef came to speak to every guest. We will definitely revisit Le Bistrot du Por when we return to Nice!

Really great food just service was extremely subpar. Two women working the dining room who couldn’t provide adequate attention to any one table. Waited awhile for menus and then our order. Didn’t engage with wait staff unless they were bussing tables or bringing food. It felt a little disconnected to come to this restaurant that has such great reviews esp with quality of food and then have the table service be so lacking in attention.

Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, "Les Vents d'Anges" is a delightful local eatery that offers an authentic French dining experience. This cozy restaurant, with its inviting ambiance and wood-burning pizza stove, serves up delicious dishes like their renowned Butcher pizza, featuring a unique blend of minced meat, onions, and egg. The menu also boasts traditional favorites such as paella on Saturdays.
Les Vent d’Anges is a little local spot, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach restaurants peddling €30 for a plate of leaves. This is where the inhabitants of town eat, and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere is a small restaurant, heated primarily via the wood burning pizza stove. Everyone here, including the customers speaks French, and their are no English menus. I ordered The Butcher pizza. Mince meat, onions and egg. An odd combination but one I thoroughly enjoyed. The pizzas are thin and crispy, so I didn’t feel bad for indulging. My father had a steak. He enjoyed his but said it was a tad tough. It was perfectly cooked. I suppose the cows are just built different here. My mother had the prawns, and devoured all of them. So fresh and simply done in garlic. Overall excellent. I will be back

Amazing pizza! We came here twice during our 4 night stay in Nice. We had to que both times but was well worth the wait. The tiramisu was also one of the best that we have tried. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the owner even gave us a free shot of Limoncello as we were leaving which was a nice touch. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Nice.

Truly authentic Italian pizza in Nice! Les Amoureux is the real deal — the kind of place that instantly transports you to Naples. I had the Riviola pizza, and it was absolutely perfect: light, blistered crust, high-quality ingredients, and that unmistakable Italian balance of flavor. You can taste the passion and authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, and the staff are genuinely welcoming — you feel like a guest, not just a customer. If you love real Italian pizza, not the tourist versions, this is a must-visit in Nice. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We had the house pizza and the Vasinicola and they were phenomenal. One of the best pizzas we had in our lives so I warmly recommend you visiting Les Amoreux when in Nice. One of the most authentic Neapolitan pizzas I’ve ever had. The dough is light, airy, perfectly charred around the edges, and the ingredients taste fresh, simple, and full of character — the way pizza was meant to be. I ordered the Pizza Stracciatè and every bite felt like a balance between simplicity and craft — the kind of pizza that reminds you why Naples is the true home of this art. The staff are warm and genuine, and you can feel the passion behind every detail. A small place with big soul — filled with the smell of wood fire and the sound of laughter. If you love real pizza, this is where you need to go at least once.

Day 5

Off the beaten path
For day 5, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Not quite as popular as Villa Kérylos, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer is a charming and tranquil harbor located just a short walk from Marche de Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The port offers easy access to various tourist attractions, including the nearby Petite Afrique beach and petanque courts. Currently undergoing renovations until May 2023, the port provides a pleasant atmosphere for leisurely strolls and features several restaurants catering to different budgets.
Villefranche-Sur-Mer (Villefranche on the Sea) port, with its deep waters, used to be a stop over for maritime activities since the days of the ancient Greeks. It lost much of its importance in recent times due to modernization and expansion works of the port of Nice which is only 15-20 minutes by train. Villefranche it self is a picturesque town with mild Mediterranean weather that makes it a perfect destination for tourists seeking leisure and gorgeous views. Hotels are not cheap in Villefranche because of its closeness to Monte-Carlo and the city of Nice. Along the waterfront, you happen upon a series of nice Cafes and restaurants. If you chose to walk up towards the narrow alleys you will enjoy stunning view of the bay and many nice small restaurants. Villa Ephrussi and Villa Kerylos are at walking distance from the town. To get to Villefranche from Nice, board the TER train in the direction of Ventimiglia and get off at the train station with the name of the town. The ride might take 15 20 minutes.

The Jardin de lOlivaie is a must-see destination for those seeking tranquility. This lush garden serves as an idyllic sanctuary with its shaded pathways, aromatic flowers, and peaceful water features. It provides the perfect environment for leisurely picnics or moments of peaceful reflection. Guillaume was an exceptional host! He has set up a truly unique experience for his guests and can be tailored to individual needs. Our 1 hour tour of the Beaulieu sur Mer port and surrounding area was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable parts of our visit to the Cotes D’Azur and highly recommend checking out this tour experience. I can only agree with all the other reviews on Google, an excellent experience to go out on a tour in the bay with Seazen. We had the privilege to be accompanied by the founder Guillaume who learned us a lot about the area and about solar-powered boats. One of our absolute most memorable experiences on our trip to the Riviera!

Adored our experience. Our captain was so lovely (Lucille) and kind. This was a treat for my daughter’s birthday and we were able to stop and venture into the water for some lovely photos and also took many more photos onboard. The beautiful scenery meant the experience was stunning, relaxing and one to remember. Having our own private boat for an hour was quite an experience and a very good price. We were told about the history of the houses which was lovely to know, and a beautiful touch.

Nestled between the stunning coastlines of Nice and Monte Carlo, La Réserve de Beaulieu is a luxurious five-star hotel that exudes historic charm and sophistication. With its opulent accommodations offering breathtaking sea views, this elegant seaside retreat has been captivating guests since 1880. Visitors can indulge in an array of amenities including a heated pool, a rejuvenating spa featuring Maria Galland treatments, and exquisite dining options at the acclaimed Restaurant des Rois.
Fantastic hotel. We stayed in one of the suites, and it was large, with a nice fit out and comfortable beds. The service was excellent, everything arrived to the room within minutes and the staff were always friendly and willing to help. The pool area is beautiful, right by the sea, and never too crowded. Really loved our stay here and would be back!

We stayed at this hotel twice in 2022 and 2023. The service is mediocre, and while the rooms are clean, they are neither spacious nor particularly comfortable. The hotel does have its charm, but it leans more toward a “scent of the past” rather than modern elegance. One notable experience was when we left our car for a wash. We were charged around 100 euros, despite witnessing the long-time assistant drive it to a nearby car AUTO wash, WICH IS FOR SURE NOT LUXURY EXPERIENCE where prices range between 12-20 euros. He then carefully wiped the car down in front of us. This situation is a fitting representation of “French hospitality” at its finest. The restaurants are underwhelming, and there is no proper beach to speak of. Overall, I wouldn’t highly recommend this hotel. “Cap Estel” might be a better alternative, and I would certainly suggest exploring other accommodation options.

This was the best breakfast we had in the South of France! We were so impressed by the views and the delicious food. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere, with super friendly staff — especially Fred, who was incredibly kind and gave us great tips on what to see and where to go in the area. We’ll definitely be coming back! Keep up the great work — the level of service was truly outstanding!

I booked 2 days at the spa and chose their most expensive two-hour facial, priced at €550. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. As an owner of a salon myself, I can confidently say the therapist was completely unprofessional and not properly trained. Her hands and techniques were not suitable for a professional facial, and she lacked basic knowledge about facial treatments. The session was uncomfortable to sit through, and the only focus seemed to be on selling me additional products rather than providing quality service. For such a high-end hotel spa, this level of service is unacceptable. It was the worst facial experience I’ve ever had, and it does not reflect the standards one expects from a luxury establishment. If you are looking for a proper facial treatment, I cannot recommend this spa at all.

Exquisite stay. This is what a top hotel is supposed to be. From the welcoming and genuinely friendly and attentive service, a well appointed room, Michael doing a terrific job managing around the beautiful seaside pool, Alex at the bar, and a magical evening at their Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant, on the terrace as the sun goes down....simply fantastic. Had always wanted to stay here having passed it many times on the road above to Monaco. Will certainly return.

I booked a small group stay at this hotel and paid the full amount in advance, but due to a serious medical emergency—one of my party being diagnosed with cancer—we were no longer able to travel as planned. I reached out to the hotel by phone to discuss the situation and followed up several times by email, requesting a simple solution such as rescheduling the trip or crediting the room so we could use it on a future date. Despite these extenuating circumstances, the hotel showed no flexibility whatsoever and refused to accommodate my request to simply change the date of my weekday booking. While I understand policies exist for a reason, I had hoped for at least a gesture of understanding or support, given the nature of our problem. The absolute unwillingness to offer any alternative or credit left us feeling let down by their service, especially after putting forward clear and reasonable requests and providing background on our situation. If genuine customer care is important to you, be aware that this property was completely rigid in its approach, even in the face of a genuine medical emergency. It's advisable to confirm in advance whether the hotel will assist if unforeseen circumstances arise, as in our case, every attempt to find an amicable solution was categorically denied.

Simply exceptional!!! From the welcome to the table, the exceptional view, and the delicious dishes, to the presentation of the plates and the gastronomy, we had a truly delicious experience; this was a truly delicious moment of French gastronomy!

This is for the spa experience. I came for a gel removal and mani pedi which was quoted at 200 something euros (already quite pricy) but in a last min act of independence day shut down desperation i made the reservation. Upon completion i had the most underwhelming mani pedi experience and final product. Nothing special for a bamboozling 330 euros. The staff was amazing and kind and im sure in other departments much more rewarding for the price point but if you want a good mani pedi just book ahead at a local salon and save yourself the budget.

Family restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant streets, Le Pointu is a charming family-owned restaurant that perfectly captures the essence of traditional Nicois cuisine. Known for its delightful pizzas and daily specials, this eatery offers an inviting atmosphere with both indoor seating for 55 and a cozy terrace accommodating 32 guests. The friendly staff ensures a warm welcome, catering to all diners, including those with reduced mobility and even furry friends! With reasonable prices ranging from €8.
I was there twice for lunch during my last stay in Beaulieu-sur-mer. I had the plat de jour each time (cordon bleu and filet mignon) and was completely satisfied. Great flavour, large portion and top price. The owner and waitress are both very friendly and quick. I've been there many times on previous visits and have never been disappointed.

Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, delicious food and homemade. One of the best burgers i’ve ever had. Definitely recommend to have a nice lunch break during your French Riviera getaway. 🥰🇫🇷

We were on our last week of vacation when we first tried Le Pointu (based on other positive reviews) for lunch. Service was fantastic- friendly and efficient. Daily special sounded good and reasonably priced so we opted to try that. Outstanding presentation and taste! So good, we went twice more that week and were never disappointed. Always ordered whatever was the special of the day. On the last day, my husband tried to pizza. So delicious! Highly recommend this family owned and run restaurant. Consistently delicious! Tres bien

We had a lovely lunch here! The lasagna was delicious, good quantity to price ratio and came with a side of fresh salad. The atmosphere is lively and very welcoming. Warm and friendly family run business. We will definitely make this our go to place in Beaulieu! Merci et À bientôt :)

Good value for money! Excellent pizza 🍕 and decent carbonara. You can’t ask for more with this price. Recommended when you’re in Beaulieu Sur Mer region.

Went with friends for lunch and got the suggested italien plate + a pitchet of wine. The food was amazing and a great value! the server was so sweet and helped us order in french (as a few of us were trying to practice) while also offering service in english to the others. The patio was very welcoming and cozy, and the restroom was very clean. Thank you for a great lunch experience!!

I was on a holiday with my boyfriend. On the last night we decided to come here and we had THE best pizza ever! It is also cheap and the staff is very friendly! We definetely come back here on our next vacation in the south of France.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Le Fabuleux Destin is a delightful restaurant that captures the essence of traditional French cuisine. This hidden gem offers a warm welcome and an inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for lunch or dinner by the harbor. Diners rave about their expertly prepared dishes, such as perfectly seared scallops and delicious fish soup served with cheese and croutons—a true taste of the South of France.
What a find. I had the Dorado and it was cooked and filleted perfectly. My wife had a Caesar salad. We ate under the canopy in the middle of the two roads between the restaurant and the quay side.

Very good food and friendly service. Thank you!

I had lunch with friends there today, 11 June 2018. We all chose the seared scallops which were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was good too. I see a report on Google that this place is 'permanently closed' but nothing could be further from the truth.
Hugh M — Google review
Nice restaurant with good food and good service right at the harbor. Noise levels depend on the cars driving by and the parties going on on one of the boats, which I don’t mind as I enjoy some people watching every now and then :)
Christopher R — Google review
Simple but delicious fish soup with cheese, croutons and rouille. A very traditional meal from the South of France perfectly executed by Le Fabuleux Destin on the Port of Beaulieu. Highly recommended for cold winter nights.
