Located just a short distance from the historic town center of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Fondation Maeght is a hilltop museum and sculpture garden that showcases an impressive collection of 20th-century artworks by renowned artists such as Calder, Miró, and Chagall.
DEFINITELY worthwhile! My husband and I spent just over 3 hours admiring all the art inside and outside the gallery and then having a simple lunch outside in the restaurant. It was a wonderful way to spend the day. Whether or not you are an art lover, I think you would enjoy this museum. It's beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the artwork. The outside area is peaceful and has stunning views of the town below too. Food in restaurant was very good. Plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill. Not necessary to speak French to enjoy. Tickets are easily purchased onsite. Nice gift shop too.

Amazing place. Exciting, beautiful, well curated. A must- see. You need 3 hours at least yo enjoy it. There’s a nice restaurant and Bar with art all around in the sculpture garden.
Brian C — Google review
One of the best museums I’ve visited. The architecture itself is really nice , and the sculpture garden is beautiful and relaxing, complete and offers a café for coffee or a bite to eat. The collection is thoughtfully curated. Plan to spend at least three hours to fully enjoy it, and arrive early as it can gets busy after 12.
Tonia I — Google review
Beautiful and monumental spot with stunning form and broad collection of contemporary artists. The architecture is stunning, combined with nature and beautiful view, creates unique and one of the kind atmosphere. It’s also great to sit in the garden cafe house and admire the sculptures around. The prices are quite high but it’s still worth visiting at least once.
Zuzanna S — Google review
My first visit here was in 1990. It was like discovering a rare, precious gem. On my latest visit, 40 years later, the magic and charm continues on... it is without doubt my most favourite art museum anywhere in the world!! The location amongst natural parkland, with glimpses to the sea in the distance, is bomeyond spectacular! Dining on the open terrace, next to the Chagall mural and by the stained glass of the chapel is something not to miss. I will certainly visit again, next time I'm in the south of France.
Julie R — Google review
In my opinion one of the finer museums in the world. Restorative experience amidst the pine trees. Timeless mid century modern architecture with sculpture garden featuring works by Henry Moore, Calder and especially Miro. Impressive collection of 20th century modern art. Plan two hours minimum to enjoy the place. Early morning is nice and quiet, especially in the off-season. If you’re outside on the terrace around 12:00 plus 12:07, you can hear chapel bells ring.
Sven — Google review
A lovely day out from Nice. I had been to the Fondation a number of years ago when, I thought it just ok. But a major extension and renovation in 2022-24 has yielded great results. The gardens were always beautiful. But now the indoor galleries are way more extensive now showing off the beautiful collection. Plus their restaurant is lovely. We had lunch by the fountain. I highly recommend a visit.
George W — Google review
This is an A+ museum. The art aside, there has been extensive steps taken to aid visitors to discover during their visit. The grounds are so pleasant. I highly recommend taking time to get a beverage and grab a chair outside to people watch and enjoy the sculptures while listening to birds chirp.

Restaurant Sol is a superb establishment that comes highly recommended. The selection of dishes on offer is excellent, and the quality of the meal itself is truly exceptional. I have dined at this restaurant three times, and each visit has consistently met my expectations. One particularly noteworthy aspect is that there are always new additions to the menu, which is exactly what you would expect from such an establishment. Additionally, the service provided by the staff is friendly yet professional, ensuring a spotless experience.
We’ve eaten here twice at lunchtime this week. Both times we’ve eaten well and enjoyed the varied menu and the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. My wife is a coeliac who needs gluten free meals. This was easily catered for. The location of the restaurant, behind the CAB Foundation, means it’s a little off the normal tourist track and that’s a plus too.
Martin B — Google review
This is our second time at Sol and we were so happy to return! We were here for lunch on a late June day. The restaurant inside was cool and the music is chill and chic. Our selection including the “chicken salad of colour” was delicious, tasty and of course colourful! The waitress was lovely and the atmosphere so relaxed and calm! A joy to return

Definitely somewhere to go for lunch whilst in St Paul de Vence. Two pieces of advice: The walk from the village to the building is up a very very steep hill. If it's hot take your time! You might see signs for "food" and follow them round the building. Don't! Go into the building, up the stairs, turn right. Much easier. Trust me! Food was pretty good for a cafe / restaurant in an art gallery. Service was very good.
Matthew D — Google review
Absolutely beautiful little quaint restaurant. The food was light and fresh, amazing! Some of the best food we had in France. We ordered the rissoto which i really recommend and the tartlette fraicheur which was also 10/10! Service is great as well, our waiter was very attentive and in the end we even had our coffee and dessert on the house 😊 Highly recommend, we had a great experience

Unfortunately we walked straight out of here after the waiter ignored us completely in favour of two middle aged guys who gave him a special handshake. They had wine and nibbles before we even got the menu. Complete preferential treatment just because they looked monied. I’m not having that so we went elsewhere to somewhere that was far more respectful of us with our family and two young girls.

Cafe

Brewery
Café de la Place is a charming and traditional French brasserie that offers a nostalgic atmosphere, making visitors feel like they've stepped back in time. It's an authentic cafe with a basic menu, offering mainly meat-based options along with some vegetarian choices like paninis and salads. The ambiance is perfect for enjoying a leisurely lunch or just sipping on a drink while soaking in the surroundings.
We had lunch here on my birthday, Feb 23rd 2024 - the sun was out, temperature was juuuust above 18 degrees, not too many tourists yet and a very nice spot in the sun besides the infamous boule-lane where a couple of guys were showing of their skills. Service is very polite, efficient and with a nice sense og humor - we had a couple of Nicoise-salads which were big, colorful, tasy and very french. Good comfort food! A few softdrinks and a decent prices bill ended our lunch after about 2 hours in the sun. As a birthday present, I really could not ask for more. Enjoy!
Morten K — Google review
The most unfriendly waiters I’ve met in France. They just put the two sandwiches on ONE plate and literally slid it on the table. On the verge of being rude they left the feeling that we are somehow bothering them by having come to have some food. The paninis tasted ok. The best part was that the cafe is situated right next to the square where locals are playing pétanque, which was quite enjoyable to watch.
Rouslana H — Google review
My friend and I were craving a crêpe during our break of a tour activity. It was there, quick & tasty. Can’t speak on more as we weren’t there for long but the ambience for the short time was pleasant.
Enyo O — Google review
The café itself is lovely — great spot, cozy vibe, and the food and drinks were genuinely good. The location adds extra charm; you can sit back and soak in the village atmosphere with a nice espresso or lunch plate. That said, the service really brought the experience down. Our server was dismissive and barely paid attention — felt like he didn’t want to be there or serve us at all. It’s a shame, because everything else was on point. If they improve the attitude and attention of the staff, this place could easily be a five-star stop in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
Anuj S — Google review
Outright rude and openly racist. Ignored our requests while offering services politely to nearby tables. When we tried to call them out on their behavior they pretended to not speak English. They hardly have any options on the menu and whatever they have is terrible (food, wine and beers - everything is awful). I would stay away from this restaurant. Zero value for money.

Called in on a whim whilst passing, plat du jour was roast chicken, potato gratin and green beans and it was literally one of the best meals of my life. Large portions of delicious food served by efficient and friendly waiting staff. For EUR15 is was an absolute bargain, I cant vouch for the other plats du jour but if they're half as good as this was you're in for a treat.

Croque monsieur was extremely tasty and the salad was fresh, the aperol spritz was refreshing. Service is fast and friendly.

Tour de l'Espéron

Historical landmark
Tour de l'Espéron is a must-see in the beautiful historic village not far from Cannes and Nice. It's a square tower that was part of the medieval town walls and was once used as a gunpowder store. The surrounding area offers lovely walking paths, small streets, art galleries, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and mountains. This romantic old city on top of a hill is definitely worth a visit for anyone exploring Nice or the French Riviera.
Beautiful historic village not far from Cannes and Nice. In the region this is the place I would recommend the most to visit. It's lovely walking in the town with it's small streets. The gallery shops are also very nice with some beautiful art. When walking on the wall of the city you have some amazing views and sights of both the Mediterranean sea and the mountains.
Jeremy V — Google review
Set back from the renaissance curtain wall, this square tower was part of the medieval town walls. The current crenellations beneath the roof were probably added at the beginning of last century. The three-storey tower was used as a gunpowder store.

Nestled in a charming alleyway in the heart of the old town, Le Caruso is a delightful restaurant that invites you to indulge in the rich flavors of local cuisine. The chef curates an ever-evolving menu featuring fresh ingredients sourced from nearby markets and regions like Jura for cheese and Italy for olives and oils.
I highly reccomend this restaurant! We visited as a group of 12 in April 23 and they put together a set menu for us to meet our budget, catering for Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free (I am coeliac and felt very comfortable eating here) and Dairy Free! The food was beautiful and the service was excellent too. We were celebrating a special occasion and they were excellent hosts, making it a real highlight of our trip! Fantastic wine too. Highly recommend visiting! Thank you to Celine and team :)

Best meal we had while visiting the French Riviera. A true dining experience. Beautifully crafted from start to finish. Received an amuse bouche before the meal and an apertif after, both included as part of the meal. I had the steak which was great, but the glazed carrots and cabbage were equally memorable. The cabbage shocked me by how tasty it was. My husband had the sea bass and loved it. It may be years before we return to the Riviera, but when we do, we will definitely be coming back!
Brittany B — Google review
The delicious food was worth it alone, but the service of both the waitress and the chef made the evening extra special. One of the best meals we’ve experienced in our time in France.
James B — Google review
I don’t usually give 5 stars and the food was not perfect, but the whole experience was so much more than a a simple 4. We had the 3-course lunch for about €30. The amuse was a dollop of cold squash drizzled in smoked olive oil and salt. Probably wouldn’t have ordered that but glad I tried it. We started with squash soup with delicious morsels and topped in foamy cream. Others had a bubbly melted goat cheese with choice of fresh truffles grated table-side or honey on top. For the main, 4/5 of us wisely chose pork filet mignon with oniony sauce and the other had a fish that smelled and looked very good. The chef seems anti-carb so don’t expect any potatoes, rice, or pasta. But that’s ok here. The flavors are worth it. If you can’t ever choose the best dessert, do like me and order the 7-dessert sampler. Cakes, cookies, gelato...all delicious. But the crown jewel was the soft, salted caramel that you eat with a spoon. And then the hostess/waitress/owner’s adorable little girl brought us shot glasses of gummy bears. I proclaimed, “this is the best restaurant ever!” Then empty glasses and three bottles were placed on the table: limoncello, amaretto, manzana. Sip on one or one of each. What a wonderful meal served by warm people in a cozy cave of a restaurant. Go here the next time you’re anywhere near this area of France!

Today I discovered, Le Caruso has Gabriela Stoker as their chef ! Previously a chef for Alain LLorca, her love of food is obvious. Delicate flavour combinations made into art for the senses. Sacred food next to the church...search no further to dine.

Thai restaurant
Had an adorable outing at Sabaï-sabaï, where the kitchen extended its operating hours. The mango colada was quite potent (which many may find appealing), but I was eager to sample the unavailable banana colada. Delighted with my choice of prawn pad thai, despite it being slightly greasy at the base. Enjoyed the pleasant weather while sipping on jasmine tea to stay warm in the shade.
Soooooo good! Let's start with the food - we enjoy Thai food whenever and wherever we can, and we both decided it was the best pad thai we have had to date! We also had the chicken satay for a started, and my partner's reaction was to ask me to make it at home. Not sure I can. The service was one of the friendliest and nicest we've has thus far on our French journey, and the atmosphere was great as well - dab smack in the heart of Saint Paul de vence, with the church's bell ringing above our heads (for us it's a good experience, I could tell that for some around us it was a bit too much). So glad to have found this little gem 💎 We didn't have a reservation, but arrived a few minutes before opening and was assured to have a table. When we came back we saw plenty of "reserved" tables, and people kept coming to make ones for their groups.
Gili G — Google review
Really nice Thai food in a great setting right under the clock tower. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. We had pad Thai which had tons of flavour, but not spicy. Option to add your own spice though. Would like to try some other dishes, highly recommended

Service is top. Location and food is ok. We were not very lucky because of the strong wind outside, and they wouldn’t let us sit inside, that was the only problem.

Amazing Pad Thai at the foot of the cathedral and bell tower. The place was fully booked but they made a spot for us to eat! So good!
Darr S — Google review
We were wandering through St. Paul de Vance wondering if we could find some place to eat when we came upon the restaurant in a small square between the church and the old Keep. The bright colors of the chairs and umbrellas as well as the cleanliness tempted us to sit down and once we received our food we realized we had hit the jackpot! The food is exceptional although they have toned down the heat to European levels but, have no fear, just ask and you will be given their home made chilli and lime sauce which is just incredible, do take it slowly depending on you heat tolerance though!
Terry R — Google review
A real Thai cooked by Thais - so the food tastes just right. Perfect service and location.
Ed H — Google review
Stopped in for a surprisingly good Thai lunch during a rainy day in St. Paul de Vence. After walking by initially and only seeing 2 very full tables in the dining room, we figured we were out of luck. But the gentleman assured us he could get a table ready in 5 mins or so. We had no idea there was a downstairs with several open tables, and after walking down the tight little stairs, we found ourselves at a lovely little table ordering some tasty food to warm us up and help us dry out. Service was friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely perfect. My delicious Tom Kha was just the right size so I could actually eat it all and my husband's Pad Thai was also tasty as well as the Mango Sticky Rice we wrapped up the meal with - so good in fact that we forgot to get pictures. Would definitely recommend!

Le Lotus d'Or is a fantastic Vietnamese eatery located in the picturesque village of Saint Paul de Vence. This hidden gem offers a delightful selection of Asian cuisine, including appetizing dishes like Shrimp Ravioli Soup, Fried Chicken Noodles, and mouthwatering Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls. The restaurant also boasts outdoor seating options where patrons can enjoy their meals on sunny afternoons. The friendly French waitress is fluent in English and provides attentive and helpful service to enhance the dining experience.
We had beautiful lunch here this week. The soup with ravioli and shrimp was excellent. My wife’s satay chicken was also very, very good.

As starters we took nems (translated to spring rolls in English even if these 2 dishes are supposed to be different), anw it was so-so Main dish were pad Thai, which was nice and shrimps into sour and sweet sauce only 6 pieces but good About desserts, the coconut balls were correct and the frozen nougat was nice, even tho I think they were frozen products

Amazingly good. Considering St Paul is a tourist magnet, it's Saturday night, it's summer time: food was really good, the waiters were super friendly. It was basically really, really good. And prices are super fair.

We came for lunch but unfortunately didn’t find anything on the menu we wanted to order. We decided to have a few drinks instead. The owner was extremely rude and told us that if we want to drink wine we should go to a bar, and if we want lunch we should go to a restaurant. She gave us only 15 minutes to finish our drinks and leave, despite there being plenty of empty tables available. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had in France. Completely unwelcoming and disrespectful to customers.

Delicious vietnamese food!!! We honestly went here by chance but what a great surprise! They have a few tables outside down the street. Our waiter was awsome and took great care of us. I really enjoyed the pork nems, prawn dumplings and prawn curry. On top of all prices a fair. Definitely would recomend to eat here!

Not sure where to start here but honestly haven’t had such a bad experience in a while. Our waitress brought the wrong food despite me advising I had an allergy. My replacement dish took so long that my friend had finished her food by the time I got mine. I am making a point about this because it didn’t take that long for our initial meals to come out. Add to that the waitress spilled sauce on my friend when cleaning the table and neither apologised not offered her an apron etc to clean it. She also tried to leave the used cutlery on the table for us to use with desert and didn’t even think to wipe the sauce she spilled on the table until we asked her to do so. You have to pay inside and I waited over 10 minutes for someone to come to the register despite them running past us constantly. One of the staff members then told me the wrong bill and so had to leave again to ask how to find our bill. The incompetence of everyone there is shocking. My Satay curry was so insanely average and so soupy - not a fan… I will add to this for all my gluten free people out there. I would think twice before I’d go here. The menu is so vague, even without an allergy you’re kind of guessing what you will be served. They were able to advise on gf options but the proceeded to top everything with crispy onions and brought me egg noodles on top of the steamed vegetables I had ordered. The waitress just didn’t communicate anything with the kitchen so I had to go and speak to them myself to make sure they wouldn’t just take them off (since I’m coeliac). The manager was extremely patronising about apparently knowing what gluten is and then telling me she will bring it to me without the nuts and onions (insert confused face here). Honestly if you want Asian food in St Paul go up to the Thai place by the church - 100x better and safer.
Maria Z — Google review
The food wasn’t that great. And we had the wrong order. It felt like the food was just cooked in the soy sauce and had ginger and sugar added in it. The family who runs the place were nice though, but I would have like at least have good food and maybe some garish on top not just served ginger and chicken downed on a soy sauce. 🥲

Restaurant
"Sous les Pins par Les Agitateurs" is a restaurant located at the Fondation Maeght, offering a unique dining experience surrounded by contemporary art. The restaurant's terrace is highly sought after, requiring reservations even on weekdays. The menu, created by the chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant Les Agitateurs in Nice, offers a delightful culinary experience. Visitors can enjoy an excellent selection of delicious meals and fine wines while receiving friendly service.
We’d just come out of the gallery, which must rank as one of the most pleasurable galleries in the world, and then had lunch at Sous Les Pins. There were three of us and we ordered all the starters. All of them were delicious, making the day one of most memorable in the South of France.

The slowest F&B service. You’d likely spend more time waiting for waiters to take your order and serve you than experiencing the art exhibition (with the exception when it’s time to get your bill, of course.) Oh and the waiter made sure you tip them for their poor service at the end of your meal. Food was alright, nothing fancy. I’d suggest to dine elsewhere if you want an efficient day spent at the art exhibition.
Jaims — Google review
When making the reservation, I did not realize that this restaurant was on the grounds of a modern art museum. It was an incredible setting for delicious dishes. Service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry. No air conditioning in the inside portion of the restaurant so we sat out outside “under the pines” and enjoyed gentle breezes, and the water fountain sculpture.

Had dinner. Delicious food. Beautiful ambience. Wonderful service. A peaceful haven. A fabulous way to end a late afternoon visit to the museum. Make sure to reserve. They only serve dinner Friday to Sunday and most tables were occupied. Museum closes at 7 pm and earliest reservation is for 730 pm.

Second time and still fabulous : food is fresh and very tasty : try the tchachouka a great piece of work . And servers are always nice and cool also with the kids . The place is magic under the pine and oak trees . I highly recommend !

Service not easy with only two waitresses for the fountain area. Difficult to get attention. Child order of Fish and rice had to be returned to kitchen the small piece of fish was still raw! It should have been replaced and the rice refreshed But same piece came back with no apologies. Children should not be served raw fish!

Fantastic dining experience after touring Fondation Maeght. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The food was great! An excellent combo of art & food!
Albert K — Google review
Absolutely not recommended. The staff is extremely rude. There were at least five empty tables in the restaurant, and we just wanted to have a coffee in five minutes. They said this was not possible and told us to sit outside in 36°C heat with our water and coffee, on chairs that didn’t even have a table. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and we will never consume anything there again.

Hotel
Located in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, La Colombe d'Or Hotel and Restaurant is a historic establishment that has been frequented by renowned artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Chagall. The restaurant feels like dining in an art gallery with its collection of paintings adorning the walls. The hotel features a laid-back seasonal vibe with an outdoor pool and charming old-world charm.
An unforgettable experience in a truly gorgeous setting. The garden is beautifully appointed — every detail feels thoughtful and timeless. Service was impeccable from start to finish, striking the perfect balance between attentive and relaxed. The food was fresh, locally grown, and expertly prepared. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the asparagus was simple yet perfect. We enjoyed a lovely rosé that paired beautifully with the meal. We also loved starting our visit with a drink at the bar — a charming way to ease into lunch. Definitely worth a stop while you’re in Saint-Paul-de-Vence — for the food, the atmosphere, and the history.

La Colombe d’Or is undeniably a beautiful and historic hotel. Very special, where art, and history intertwine seamlessly. The walls are adorned with stunning pieces, and the ambiance throughout the property is unlike anywhere else. We dined at the restaurant three times during our stay. The food is very good—classic and reflective of the region. The service at the restaurant was most of the time average. The exception, worth noting, was M. Oliver, who gave us an amazing service during dinner. Our room was spacious with a nice view of the town and decorated with nice pieces following the character of the hotel. However the bed and pillows were not of quality and not comfortable. Unfortunately, the most disappointing part of our stay was the reception staff. Remarkably unwelcoming, rude, and entirely unhelpful and unprofessional—it felt as though guests were more of an inconvenience than anything else. This applies to both people at the reception desk, Natalie as well as a gentleman, whose name I forgot. For a hotel of this caliber, that kind of attitude is not only surprising but truly unacceptable. They managed to ruin the experience. Overall, La Colombe d’Or is worth visiting briefly, maybe just for a meal for the setting and the art alone, but be prepared for service that may not live up to the magic of the surroundings.
Veronica P — Google review
We dined at the restaurant. The food was good. The asparagus were very good. The beef and chicken were pretty good as well - their sauce is rich but good. The service was okay but they asked for a tip at the end which was off putting and low brow. I didn’t realize it until another foreign couple arrived and asked to be moved, but we were sat in the corner with only foreigners and away from the main action of the restaurant and away from all the art. Spending that much money, along with the feeling of being stuck in a corner and not in the main area when we were there early is odd and a bit outdated / surprising.
Philip B — Google review
If you want to be mistreated By the woman at the reception, then this is the place to go. I kindly asked to charge my phone the woman at reception (blonde, curly hair) immediately said yes… then followed it up with, “But turn it off, I don’t want it ringing the whole time,” in the most unnecessarily arrogant tone. I was honestly taken aback. Is that how you speak to clients? Still, I let it slide. But when I went back to collect my phone after lunch, it wasn’t even charged. I asked if I could leave it a bit longer and she replied, “This isn’t a supermarket, find another outlet.” After leaving a big tip and having spent hundreds at lunch .At that point I was stunned. I took my phone and walked away, in absolute disbelief. I told my sister what had happened and we asked to speak to the manager to which one guy , with a smug smile, told us, “Sorry, they’ve all left.” It’s a beautiful location, yes but the treatment we received was nothing short of rude and dismissive. There’s a fine line between exclusivity and entitlement, and unfortunately, this place seems to confuse the two. Hospitality should feel warm, not humiliating. And they say hospitality was born in France. I get the whole attitude I’m not rude, I’m French but honestly, it’s getting downright boring.
Christina B — Google review
I enjoyed a lovely lunch here. I was a walk-in, but since I arrived right after they opened, I was able to get a table. After that time, I think it’s better to make a reservation. We shared the escargots for the starter, and it was nice that they were served separately on individual plates. For the main, I ordered foie gras. The presentation looked a bit simple, but the taste was delicious! The cabbage underneath was slightly sweet and went very well with the foie gras and sauce. The interior design of the restaurant is beautiful, and I found the restroom to be very clean and well-maintained.
Elina — Google review
Beautiful hotel, great art and wonderful history. Staff is a bit stuck-up which is understandable given its past. Suggest visitors consider the St. Paul Relais and Chateau option. Staff is more inviting. La Colombe is resting on its laurels; whereas, St. Paul is working to earn your business.
Jose P — Google review
I tried to walk in for food or drinks and the staff was very rude. Door guy looked me up and down and then consulted his coworker - who told me I can’t come in. They said it’s for people staying there and after asking questions I learned guest of the restaurant are allowed too. I was by myself and I think they judged me and discriminated too - I saw open table and offered to sit at the bar - which they said they had. Very disappointed and to come all this way to be treated so rude!! No kindness or honesty.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant Le Tilleul is a charming spot located just behind the ramparts of the picturesque village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. The place offers a leafy patio under a majestic tree, which quickly fills up during summer. Chef Olivier Renaud presents a refined Mediterranean cuisine with global influences, using local ingredients and Provençal wines. The restaurant also features a tea room menu and delicacies to be enjoyed on its sunny terrace with panoramic views.
An authentic French restaurant where elegance and haute cuisine blend harmoniously. The dishes are impeccably crafted, and the service is both highly professional and genuinely friendly. The refined atmosphere turns every visit into a memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! I love their desserts!

This is a georgous setting under a big tree with a fabulous view. We had a lovely meal, The prawn risotto was delicious. and everything was excellent except my main course. There was a 20 min delay with our mains, the kitchen is small so that happens. However my duck I think sat under the heat lamp for all of that delay, it was dry and tasteless, the waiter shrugged when I said it.
Rhona O — Google review
Great outdoor dining area under the massive linden tree. Our waiter was great despite the restaurant being busy. The courgette flower fritters were light and the tomato sauce was a great accompaniment. The lobster was good although the linguine was a bit bland. The risotto was excellent especially with the crunchy chorizo, even though the chef seemed to have forgot to add the peas, one of the namesake ingredients ! There was no wait for a table as we’d booked ahead.
James — Google review
When I first arrived, no one told me whether I should wait to be seated or just grab a table, so I ended up waiting over 10 minutes. Watching other people sit down before me was frustrating, and I almost left. (It would be helpful to have some signage or guidance.) It was extremely hot, so I stayed and finally got a seat, but the food was just okay — nothing special. On the bright side, the male server was really nice, so the experience ended on a positive note.
Jihye H — Google review
I wish I would come here off-season. The crowd makes the staff insensitive. They focus on the “job”, they forgot to please the customer. We were lucky that we came across a young eager garçon, serve us with his smiley shining, eye contact face. We picked traditional toast, goat cheese salad, prawn risotto and chicken with vegetable. I chose the toast as a winner. Goat cheeses covered with a thin crisp dough, gives a more sophisticated texture. I liked that. Chickens are interestingly juicy and delicious in France. They found a different way to cook them. I personally never able to make that. We sat inside.
Op.Dr. D — Google review
Great food accompany with a great location. Dining under a tree is a true unique sound of France experience. Risotto is perfectly seasoned and cooked. OTT rose was a nice companion. Though angus beef was ordinary but the overall experience going to be memorable.
Yutang C — Google review
We ordered chevice to share for starters and lobster pasta for main. Starters come, served in the middle with sharing plates, all good. Then main comes and is served to my girlfriend, no sharing plates, not placed in the middle. I ask "where's the another?" answer was that "I thought you'll share that" which made absolutely no sense from how it was served. No real apology, nothing but that I'll order a new one to you quickly, which took 10 minutes. No surprise that the last Michelin recommendation is from last decade. Food was good but the subpar waiting and arrogance for not giving any remedy like free dessert despite giving 3 separate opportunities is just at this price point 👎 Also, not a single wine top up, self-service works the best I guess.

Nestled in the heart of St Paul de Vence, Restaurant Le Tilleul offers an unforgettable dining experience with a setting as exceptional as its cuisine. The location is simply magnificent, perched in the village center with a spacious terrace that boasts stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the charm of this historic town. Service was top-notch: warm, fast, and genuinely welcoming. The staff were efficient and seemed to truly enjoy what they do, which added to the relaxed and joyful atmosphere. For lunch, we started with the Green Peas Gaspacho and the Zucchini Velouté with Shrimps and Mashed Potatoes. Both dishes were refined, fresh, and full of flavor, simple ingredients elevated with care and creativity. Dessert was a highlight: we sampled the Crème Brûlée, Fondant au Chocolat, and the Lemon Tart. Every dessert is homemade by their in-house pâtisserie, and it shows. Each one was beautifully crafted and delicious, striking the perfect balance between indulgence and finesse. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant in the St Paul de Vence area. Whether you’re stopping for lunch or enjoying a leisurely dinner, Le Tilleul is well worth a visit. A true gem!

If you're planning a visit to the enchanting village of Saint-Paul de Vence, make sure to stop by the Office de Tourisme. This charming spot is your gateway to exploring the rich history and stunning architecture that defines this bastion, originally commissioned by François I. You can stroll along a newly developed path at the base of the western ramparts, where you'll gain insights into both historical contexts and agricultural traditions that continue to thrive in this picturesque locale.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an extraordinary city tour at Saint Paul de Vence led by Olivier, an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate guide. From the moment the tour began, it was clear that this guide had an intimate understanding of the city's history, culture, and hidden gems. His enthusiasm was infectious, making the entire experience engaging and captivating. Throughout the tour, the guide seamlessly wove together anecdotes, historical facts, and local legends, his attention to detail was remarkable, as he effortlessly navigated through the alleyways, revealing hidden architectural marvels and lesser-known stories that I would have otherwise missed. He grew up in Saint Paul / Vence, it was evident that this guide held a deep passion for the city and its culture. His love for the community, its traditions, and its evolution instilled in us an appreciation for this marvelous city. He elevated our visit from a mere sightseeing trip to an unforgettable journey of discovery. If you're seeking an authentic and immersive exploration of Saint Paul de Vence, I wholeheartedly recommend seeking out this guide Olivier for an experience that's as educational as it is inspiring. Ps. We were lucky enough to have him as a guide again at the Foundation Maeght, and it was extraordinary. Thank you Olivier for guiding us through this magical place! Ps2. He did the city tour in English. We were very fortunate to find him.

We visited the Saint-Paul-de-Vence Tourist Office to ask about luggage storage and were very lucky to meet Olga. She helped us with our bags and created a personalized itinerary for our visit, ensuring we could see as much as possible in the time we had. She marked the highlights on the map and pointed out hidden gems we would never have found on our own. After visiting Saint-Paul-de-Vence, we were planning to go to Nice for the first time. Olga helped us figure out the transport to Nice and gave clear instructions on how to get there. I was deeply impressed by Olga. She is a person with a big heart, who genuinely loves her work. She knows so much about the history of the area, speaks engagingly about the sights, and is extremely pleasant, polite, and helpful. Thanks to her, our visit to Saint-Paul-de-Vence became a truly memorable experience. The Tourist Office is definitely worth visiting — especially if you’re lucky enough to meet Olga.

Situated above the renowned Place de la Grande Fontaine and conveniently close to other popular attractions, this establishment offers a prime location. Moreover, it boasts one of the finest dining options in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, alleviating any concerns about where to enjoy a satisfying dinner.
I went to the small exquisite restaurant attached to the hotel. I was wanting a nice bowl of soup and I found the best Butternut Squash soup I have ever had. The soup was served with pickled mushroom and chopped peanuts as garnish just the perfect touch. It was accompanied by a focaccia bread with raw butternut squash and pine nuts topping which was so good. Everyone was so welcoming for my late afternoon soup. This restaurant is worth the trip to St Paul De Vence.

We had a lovely dinner at this beautiful restaurant in St Paul de Vence. The setting was perfect, right by the fountain, adding to the charm of the evening. We ordered the tuna, gnocchi, and zucchini flowers, and the food was absolutely delicious. The tuna dish stood out as one of the best we've had during our 6-week trip across Europe—so fresh, with layers of flavor that just worked beautifully. The waiters were prompt, professional, and provided impeccable service. A wonderful dining experience overall.

The Ramparts of Saint Paul de Vence, completed in 1547, are a significant part of the town's history and offer stunning views over the surrounding villages. Strolling through this medieval village allows for picturesque scenes of small archways, stepped roads, and trailing wisteria plants. The town is known for its ateliers featuring art from local artists, though some pieces can be pricey. Despite the expensive restaurants, visitors find that the breathtaking views make it all worthwhile.
Beautiful town and nice alley to walk. Not very big place but you can spend about 2 hours walking around to see the whole place. Some nice restaurants and we enjoyed some refreshments while enjoying the views. We were there in mid November and not crowded at all

Really beautiful town! If you are close by you should really stop and take the time and just walk around. So many beautiful ateliers. Some really expensive some moderate, also local artists selling their art. Worth to buy some. Restaurants in this town look all good but are more on the expensive side. But probably with it. At least you get most of the time good views.

The Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs, also known as Folon Chapel, is a 17th-century church in Saint-Paul-de-Vence near Nice. The interior is adorned with the artwork of Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon, including vibrant mosaics, sculptures, and paintings. The chapel's stained glass windows were created in collaboration with artisans. Visitors are recommended to visit this unassuming yet luminescent church to see the striking Folon mural.
One of the most beautiful things we’ve seen in a calm, tranquil setting. What painstaking work has taken place to create this simply stunning mosaic and surrounding artwork envisioned by the late artist, Folon. This was absolutely the icing on the cake for our day trip to Saint Paul de Vence, we were so pleased that the lady in the tourist information impressed upon us the need to go and see it. Closed between 12.30pm and 2pm, it is well worth the €3 per person to feed your soul with this fresh, modern, magical, sparkling work of art. The lady in charge was very informative also - worth popping to the boutique diagonally opposite to see pictures of the mosaic and installation in progress too. Superb.

A cosy restaurant with a small number of tables so booking is recommended. We booked but it still seemed like a bit of an inconvenience to the host who sat our party of 3 at a table for 2. They didn't present a food menu, instead the host read out the menu, so make sure you're listening! The food was fresh, seasonal and much of it local. Very tasty. The service was a little bit haphazard and slow. Prepare for a 90+ minute lunch sitting. Otherwise, a cute place, nice menu and welcome break from the heat.

This may have been the most beautiful café I have ever been to in my life. Go upstairs and soak up the view by the window while enjoying a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. We had such an amazing lunch here! At the recommendation of a local shop ownder (La Maison Bisson) we popped over to Timothe's Cafe for lunch. My husband had "The Bowl" with smoked salmon and I had the pesto pasta with Buratta. They were both out-of-this-world good, super fresh and tasty, filling, and at a good price. Timothe was so nice to us, and made our experience even better with his customer service and his passion for food! Highly recommend!

Ice cream shop
Dolce Italia is an exceptional ice cream shop that offers excellent service and a warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond by accepting contactless payment even for amounts below the minimum requirement. This allowed customers to fully enjoy their creamy lavender and pistachio ice cream, which received rave reviews. Visitors can trust the recommendations of others, as they will not be disappointed with the delicious ice cream served here.
Best ice cream we’ve had so far on our holiday. Absolutely delicious dark chocolate sorbet and usual Oreo ice cream. Beautiful setting, lovely calm street in the sunshine. Madding crowds arrive in July apparently, until then, a tranquil lunchtime scoop of ice cream opposite the church steps.

Nice and tidy place in St Paul de Vance. Ice creams taste good. Stracciatella can get better

Ice cream was excellent. The attitude of the server (guy with beard) was horrible. He might have been upset because my coming in the store interrupted his conversation with his friend.

Gelato and sorbet tastes really good and this is coming from someone who has tried so many places !! Highly recommend

The pistachio flavor didn't taste like pistachios, I didn't know what I was eating And the male clerk didn't seem very friendly.

The restaurant Obatik is a great place to enjoy down home cooking. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. The restaurant has an amazing view of the city, and it's located just outside the ramparts of Sainte-Paul-de-Vence.
Fantastic food at this restaurant with a panoramic view. We dined here twice in one week as the food is so delicious! We enjoyed a tomato quiche and zucchini carpaccio to start followed by sea bream with a creamy risotto and chicken with mashed potato and vegetables. The portions are very generous! We loved the friendly smiling service and the incredible views.
Louise W — Google review
Was told to wait 30mins for a table and ended up waiting an hour. Food was mediocre at best and overpriced 24 euros for a simple tomato based pasta with a few tomatos and slices of aubergine, whereas the chicken dish gave 1.5 pathetic pieces Service was rushed and utensils were not clean Heavily regretted choosing this restaurant, there are tons others that offer a better experience. I have not had such a bad experience dining in a very long time, especially in France 👎👎👎

Today I had lunch at this nice restaurant. The food was marvellous, I had ‚tartare de poisson‘. The only reason they solely get 4 stars is because of the service. The way they cleaned the tables was quite noisy and hectic which gave me the impression of them being stressed and that made me feel stressed. It had a negative impact on my capacity to enjoy the great meal.

I went on a rainy Saturday of the winter season (February ) I guess that bc of this, they mentioned that not all the main dishes were available which was a shame, as could had tried others The risotto was good, and that main dish + a glass of white wine was In total 37€ Inside place is cozy and nice with only a few tables Will be back to have the experience with the terrace and the view

Beautiful outdoor seating, amazing view around, lovely waitresses, the food was very good, we tried the Salmon Tartare, the Obatik salad and the truffle pasta. Bug portions so we couldnt finish our food,

An excellent restaurant, if you are looking for local southern French cuisine. Beautiful ambience with a fantastic scenery and what makes the occasion better, is the food. I came here with my family two nights in a row and would return in a heartbeat. If you are in Saint Paul de Vence, I highly recommend that you dine in this restaurant.

Absolutely gorgeous food and view. Upon walking up a lovely lady recited the entire menu just for me, a solo traveller who looked a bit lost. The special of the day - chicken & mushroom with linguine was amazing that I cleaned the plate despite it being a huge portion. The dessert - nougat ice cream was very delicious as well.

Only restaurant we visited in Saint Paul de Venice and totally worth it. Our lunch was amazing, I ordered the special of the day (pork and mashed potato) and my partner ordered the prawns. The prawns were the best he’d ever had. Would recommend, so glad we stumbled upon this place!

Restaurant
Hôtel Le Saint Paul is a luxurious five-star hotel located in the heart of Saint Paul de Vence. It is housed in a 16th-century building and offers opulent rooms and suites filled with antiques, exuding romantic charm. The hotel features a fine-dining restaurant that serves exquisite dishes using high-quality ingredients. Guests can enjoy their meals on the terrace or in the elegant dining room, surrounded by the unique ambiance of the historic setting.
Pure Magic We were completely blown away by this place—it truly felt magical from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is something special, with a perfect mix of charm, elegance, and comfort. The service was incredible. Everyone we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay unforgettable. The concierge team was fantastic and super helpful, and the personalized touches throughout really made a difference. Our room was beautiful—well-appointed, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The Côté Terrasse was a highlight. The food was absolutely out of this world, and dining on the patio was such a treat. The menu and whole vibe was relaxed and welcoming. All in all, this stay was everything we hoped for and more. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped by on their terrace for a "quick" breakfast for four persons. The location was nice enough, but the service was horribly non-existent. No place settings, no napkins, no cutlery, nothing. Waited ten minutes just to place the order. Received their little baker's basket of some mini croissants and bread slices, but still no plates or cutlery or butter/jam on the side. Then the 4 coffees, one of them spilled, but no usual sides of sugar or treats. Had to steal a napkin from a neighboring table to clean up their mess by ourselves. Then a basic omelette with nothing, and an avocado toast on tiny triangle cardboard slices that should be embarrassing to French bakery culture. Upon stern request, we finally received some butter and the table water that was ordered half an hour before. I can't shake the feeling that we received this treatment for ordering à la carte instead of their breakfast buffet for 35 Euros per person. I'll make sure to tell everybody not to come here, not sorry. It's a joke for their prices and for being a 5-star hotel... not funny at all.

Great hotel in the heart of the village, conveniently located in a walking distance to all restaurants and galleries. Spacious and comfortable rooms with plenty of space, I had a small living room with a breathtaking view of the village. Service is excellent, all my requests were fulfilled promptly. Attentive staff. I would definitely recommend this place for a solo traveler or a couple or a family even. Definitely will be back next year!

Fantastic intimate restaurant with a fabulous selection of wines and dishes, with vegetarian options available. The wait staff were attentive and brought out a variety of amuse bouches to try. When we had finished our meals, the chef came out to greet everyone, and you could see the passion he had for his food. Thoroughly recommend, but would advise booking in advance!

Charming boutique hotel with unique and spacious rooms. The best place to stay while exploring this beautiful historic village. Driving here is for the bold with extremely narrow streets - a fun challenge. 2-3 night stay ideal to get the full experience.

Booked 3 days for a business trip before realizing I had booked the wrong one - there is another hotel in Nice with a similar name - which is wonderful btw - I called immediately but was told the "policy" was to charge FULL FEE STAY if not cancelled within 7 days! This was not clear to me when booking and amounted to a "mistake" close to $2000 - on top of that the staff were very dismissive andn unhelpful. Please be aware of this if you are looking at this place

Amazing terrace with quite a beautiful view in front. Me and my friend ordered the risotto with spinach and dried tomatoes and it was quite tasty. The service was a but slow since it was only two people serving, but good enough.

Wow, what a stunning view! The service was spotless, and the staff was super friendly. They even gave us a seat inside until the table cleared. And the burger was absolutely delicious! The menu was a bit limited, mostly featuring some special main dishes. Overall, it was a great experience.

The place is nice with nice views. The atmosphere is also cozy and with good vibes. The service is average. We didn’t know the place is inside the castle and no cars are allowed, so we were 15mins late. They canceled our reservation and charged us 100€, and when we reached we had to argue with the staff to let us go in although our table was still available. The service also was average as well as the food. Their drinks were very good.

Wonderful evening at Les Remparts. The view from the terrace was breathtaking with a charming ambience. Service friendly, engaging and helpful despite being busy. We shared a number of dishes including an artichoke salad, broccolini, steak tartare, goats cheese salad and a croque monsieur with a beautiful bottle of Provence rose. All were delicious and beautifully presented and the food was some of the best we have eaten in France. Going back before we leave. Would highly recommend! Reservation required

I will never buy fragrance anywhere else since visiting this lovely place. Made several purchases and love them all. You’ll never find such unique and beautiful scents elsewhere. Was given a large bottle of Volupte as a thank you. Love it. You can order if you don’t live in France. We were also given a lovely book tracing the history of some of their scents. The blend of scents are heavenly. So glad I stopped in! The best customer service!

Beautiful church right in the old town of Saint Paul de Vence. Beautiful artwork inside including a painting of Saint Catherine whose attribution is contested. It was probably executed in Rome in the 17th century.

I create guides for those who see the world with all their senses — not just through facts, but through feeling. This church, hidden in the heart of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, became one of the most silent and meaningful discoveries of my journey. The Collégiale Saint Paul was built in the 14th century, and yet it still breathes. If you value history, beauty, and depth — take a moment here. Sit down. Let your eyes wander across the altars, the stone, the light. You don’t just visit a place like this. You enter it — fully. And it changes you quietly. As a journalist, a guide, and a thinking soul — I deeply recommend it.

The Collégiale Saint Paul in Monaco is a charming and historic church, nestled in the old town of Monaco-Ville. As I stepped inside, I was immediately struck by the simplicity and beauty of its interior, with soft light streaming through the stained-glass windows, creating a serene ambiance. It felt like a peaceful retreat, providing a quiet space to reflect and admire its timeless architectural beauty.

Italian restaurant
Un Coeur en Provence is a charming French restaurant located in Saint-Paul de Vence, Alpes-Maritimes, France. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with mouthwatering food and high-quality wine. While known for its delicious pizzas, some visitors were hoping for more Provencal dishes given the name and location. However, the menu mainly consists of pizza options along with a few salads. Despite this, the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient while the ambiance is stunning.
A lovely sunny terrace with terrific views over the countryside. The pizza is made by a true Italian piazalo and was fantastic. The portions are large and good quality.

Good pizza although I had somehow got the sense there might be more Provencal dishes here given the name and some of the photos, and it always feels a bit of a copout just going for pizza when in France (that said, as a vegetarian, I often don't have many better options). The menu seemed to be almost entirely pizza plus a few salads. My wife had the Nicoise salad which she said was OK but I could see she was a bit disappointed that she couldn't have something a bit more special and unique to Provence. My daughter was very happy with her pizza though.
John H — Google review
What a stunning place to have a meal! The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was great, the only disappointment was that we ate here on the last night of our holiday as we would definitely have come back. Ps. You must book as it's busy even during the week.

What a great find. It doesn't have a terrace, but it makes it up in spades with the delicious food and wine. The recommendations of the day are spot on and the service is great. Most horrible experience in France so far. Have been to multiple restaurants across cities, but never such a terrible experience. Went in with my daughter and the server was super mean. We wanted to order one main and beverages since only my daughter was hungry. But the lady said we need to order a full meal for the entire family to be able to sit there. We had to get up and leave. My daughter was so hungry that she started to cry. Mean people, will not recommend at all. There were plenty of tables available, and not many ppl were coming in, now I know why.

⭐️⭐️ Nice location with a good view, but the space feels a bit cramped. The server was friendly at first, but if you said something wrong, her facial expressions and behavior quickly showed irritation. We brought our 4-month-old baby, but only after ordering food were we told that children were not allowed inside. If you have kids, you should choose another place. The glasses had fingerprints inside, and the pasta looked pale and pre-made. It tasted like cheap store-bought broth. We were 10 people – only 4 of us actually liked the food, while the rest were disappointed. The lasagna was just okay, but felt mass-produced. Overall, the restaurant seems to rely on one-time tourists rather than returning customers. We won’t be coming back.

La Brouette is a charming restaurant nestled on a hillside with breathtaking views of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Run by a Danish couple, this rustic eatery offers a warm and romantic atmosphere with its lovingly decorated interior and terraced gardens. As one of the oldest restaurants in the area, it exudes historical charm. The menu is concise but features high-quality and delicious options, making it an ideal spot for a memorable dining experience.
Extraordinary experience at La Brouette this evening. My wife and I really enjoyed our meals. The filet mignon starter set the tone of tasty food and it was followed by very tasty smoked trout. We opted for the white chocolate mousse desert which was very good. Friendly service was also a plus. We couldn’t eat outside because of the rain but enjoyed dining in front of the fire. The view of Saint Paul from the patio was great despite the rainy weather. On a nice day it would be stunning. Considering the quality of the food, the cost was a great value.

We came here twice during our family holidays 15 years ago and wanted to come back today for dinner. Well nothing else to say than that we look forward coming back again. No doubt we’ll do so next time we’ll be around! Exquisite and authentic food, place and people. Do not miss :))))

The place itself was nice, though a little dusty and dated. The entré and mains were not great. The dessert was nice. The owner was a nice man and really wish the food had been better. We were a party of 6

It is a place with nice view and garden but very very dated and unfortunately dusty. The owner it's a nice person, friendly and he's doing all the jobs in the kitchen and service on the table. It's shame because with a little bit of money but hard work this place can be spot on. Food was good.

Wonderfull and very quiet place with delicious Danish cusine and very nice and friendly owner. Being there is like travelling in time. A must see place
Wojtek K — Google review
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The prix fixe menu included an array of 4 appetizers (small portions of each), an entre and a dessert for 35 euros. There were also other prix fixe options for 25 and 30 euros. The setting was beautiful; we ate outdoors with a beautiful view. But the service was the most special part. The owner and family are the nicest people. Seriously. I got a flat tire on the way to the restaurant on my rental car and was able to pull over just at the top of the driveway to the restaurant. The owner's son, Erik, came out to help me and he changed the tire for me. He gets good karma points for life. Incredible people, food and environment. You should definitely go!

Lunch here was one of the highlights of our first trip out of Italy in two years. We knew we'd arrived somewhere extraordinary from the moment we stepped through the door. What we planned as a quick stop turned into three leisurely and delicious courses. I love a restaurant with the confidence to serve a small and simple menu. La Brouette is one such. Four entrees, three plats, four desserts. It's more than enough if you know what you're doing. The herring came in the most beautifully balanced marinade. The salmon was full of dill and served with lots of sour cream. And the trout smoked on the fire was the best thing I have eaten in ages. We also loved the beautiful handmade potato crisps served with the aperitif. I would go far out of my way to pass through Vence in order to eat here. La Brouette is a truly wonderful restaurant.

The hidden gem of Saint Paul de Vence. The place is really charming and from my point of view if you are in the area, you shouldn't miss it. From what I have seen you can only order complete menus, not a la carte, but the choices are delicious - a combination of Danish/French cuisine. I recommend the smoked trout, it's just wonderful. We were there in a group and we didn't even realized when the time has passed, we really enjoyed every minute of our stay. Looking forward for a next visit. Thank you!

Holiday park
The ecological retreat near Nice, called Orion Treehouses, is a popular choice for families who enjoy relaxing on hammocks. Situated in the forested hills behind Saint-Paul-de-Vence, this woodland resort offers unique treehouse accommodations inspired by Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. Parents can indulge in rejuvenating treatments like massages and saunas while their children have fun in the natural pool that is purified using vegetation and tiny aquatic organisms.
What a wonderful place to stay! The treehouses are really stunning and in a great location. It feels peaceful and in nature but you are really close to Saint Paul de Vence. Diane was a very gracious and hospitable host. We will definitely return!

A magical escape – truly unforgettable! We stayed at Orion for a few nights, and it was hands-down one of the most unique and peaceful getaways we've ever had. The treehouses are beautifully designed – comfortable, private, and thoughtfully integrated into the forest. You wake up to birdsong and fall asleep under a sky full of stars. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, and the little details (like the natural materials, nature pool, and cozy lighting) show how much love and care has gone into creating this place. It’s the perfect mix of comfort and immersion in nature. The location is fantastic for anyone looking to unwind. Diane was incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering local tips without ever being intrusive. If you're looking for something truly special – not just another stay – Orion is a perfect choice. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a friendly welcome upon arrival even though we were earlier than normal check in. We had a drink and some fruit while we waited for the room to be ready which they did early for us. The room was perfect, fully equipped, really clean and uniquely decorated. The grounds and the pool are beautiful such a nice place to relax and unwind after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast was extremely special homemade organic products and a large variety of foods. The family hosting make you feel more than welcome they gave us lots good local information to aid in our stay. We would recommend staying here it was once in a lifetime experience.

I love the intimate setting. I love the nature vibe and i love how the room and sheets and towels smell freshly cleaned. I love the design of the rooms. The breakfast was great at the outdoor but with a room service choice as well. Breakfast in bed for those who love to stay in bed still. I always loved natural pools.. and they have it!! Sauna as well cause i believe that it just doesnt help you lose weight but it calms the mind. Great job on that as well.. and yes its very clean spa vibe! Very lovely hosts.

We stayed at the end of July with our two young boys and small dog. The warm welcome from our host Dianne was appreciated and our tree house was beautifully designed and appointed. Our boys shared a separate tree house which they absolutely loved! The natural pool was blissful and the surroundings are just stunning and relaxing. It's a peaceful little haven with good facilities and unobtrusive hosting that's super relaxed but there if you need it. The breakfast is just fabulous, could quite easily waste a long morning chatting and eating breakie. We would highly recommend it to anyone. Take lots of mozi spray, like u would anywhere. One aspect they could add would be an apéro in early evening, I reckon that would go down well with guests just before they head out for dinner, as the setting is just so beautiful for it! Defo go stay!!
Natalie J — Google review
Perfect place with fantastic owner! Everything looks amazing, so beautiful. The natural pool is just so peaceful and so it makes you feel so connected to the nature. I surely recommend the place and will encourage everybody to go there, me myself I would like to come back!

Restaurant
La Table de Pierre is a renowned gastronomic restaurant located within the Domaine du Mas de Pierre in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. The restaurant, which underwent a complete renovation in 2021, is known for offering a culinary journey through Provençal flavors using locally sourced ingredients such as vegetables from the hotel's garden, olive oil from Nice, cheeses from Var, and chocolates from Grasse.
Amazing experience. Each course is delicious and beautifully crafted. The service is top quality. Highly recommend.

Wow. Just wow. From the moment you walk in, you know it’s going to be great. Staff is incredible. Food is art that also tastes out of this world. We did the 4 course, and squid tartar was a highlight. Langoustines also a fan favorite. Lamb tartar in a cone, something I wouldn’t order, insane tastes. Honestly the only thing that could be improved is the bread. It was good, but not boulangerie great. I don’t get the chance to go to many Michelin restaurants, but just to inform you, Fromage service is not included, and didn’t realize that; was so full I didn’t really need it but they offered. Thanks so much for having us!
Brendan H — Google review
Really impressed by the value and menu! And the ambiance, and the service and the decor, this place is a must 👌 The entrée/plat/dessert 45€ is an amazing deal for a hotel of this caliber. The servers are professional, something I really appreciate coming from the US where we have no notion of professional service and a perfectly timed meal. We had the squash velouté (comes from their garden on site 😍) the dorade (seam bream) and souris d’agneau (lamb). They were all excellent : perfect temp, perfect portion size, perfectly salted. I’m extremely picky about too much salt so that was appreciated. My dear dining partner always gets my dessert and the baba au rhum and chocolate mousse were—according to him—amazing. The wine at 50€ - 100€ is reasonable, we ordered à Côtes du Rhône at 45€ and we’re happy with it. All in all, a super dining experience that we will happily repeat 🙏

It's hard to express how charming, intimate and absolutely delightful it is here. How lucky were we to have this recommended. The scenery, the ambience, the delectable bites and the live music and singing have been absolutely divine to enjoy. An absolute must for a romantic evening or cosy night out with friends.

When visiting Saint-Paul de Vence, it's important to consider parking options, especially if you're renting a car. Some hotels offer free parking for guests, so it's worth checking with your accommodation beforehand. Alternatively, there are parking lots available just outside the city, although they can be quite expensive. Despite the cost, these parking areas provide convenient access to the town and its charming shops and art galleries.

FONDATION CAB in St-Paul-de-Vence is a must-visit for art and design enthusiasts. It also serves as a guesthouse, offering 4 rooms and a Jean Prouve house for rent. Everywhere you look, there's beauty - from Perriand or Prouve furniture to Mediterranean gardens, and even a view of Cap d'Antibes on the horizon.
Absolutely perfect! Fondation CAB is one of my favorite places in the South of France. Here, you have the chance to sleep surrounded by masterpieces of 20th-century and contemporary design and art, wake up with a lovely coffee, and head straight to the exhibitions organized by the Foundation—which are always a wonderful discovery, even for those in the field. My heartfelt thanks to the entire staff for the warm welcome they give us every single time! Bisous

This is a scam for me. Do not make the mistake entering and paying for this ridiculous exhibition. It is a weird place, which pretends to be a museum, but it is nothing more than a hotel with a gallery with 12 euro entrance tax.

The rooms are beautiful! You should stay there if you love design and designer furniture. The service is however almost non-existent, so don’t expect an hotel or B&B human touch. You get in by yourself with a code and that’s it.

I'm staying at one of the rooms (#1) and it is incredibly beautiful. Such a spacious room and with the best furniture. I love it so much! The gardens are gorgeous! I was lucky to visit the Maison Jean Prouvé and saw the original furniture and interiors as well. Everything is really nice.

La Petite Cave of St. Paul is a fresh take on selling vintage wines in Saint-Paul. The wine cellar is run by two friendly sommeliers, Frederic Theys and Romain Calzia, who offer advice on a variety of tipples, including local roses and Bordeauxs. They also sell craft beer from Nice. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings with magical Provence wines served with local nibbles and browse through a huge selection underground.

I'm writing this review in English to ensure clarity regarding my rating of one star, or at the very least zero if it were possible. My recent visit to St. Paul de Vence left much to be desired. Having resided in the south of France for over years due to our professional commitments in Monaco, my husband and I were eager to explore the region's wines at this particular shop. Upon entering, we cordially greeted the lady in French, only to receive no acknowledgment in return. She seemed engrossed in her computer, displaying zero interest in acknowledging our presence as potential customers. Undeterred, my husband, a passionate wine enthusiast, attempted to engage her in conversation (in french), expressing his interest in purchasing local wines and seeking her recommendations. Yet, again, there was no response from her. Feeling perplexed by the poor level of customer service, we decided to leave. It wasn't until a couple of minutes later, that she followed us, explaining she had been occupied with typing an email. This experience left a profoundly negative impression on us. Despite our extensive travels, having lived in six different countries, we must regrettably admit that France ranks lowest on our list due to such instances of poor customer service, a sentiment echoed even more painfully as a native French person. This is just a constructive feedback for the lady in her shop. Taking just 5 minutes to prioritize in person interactions could significantly enhance the experience. Your attention would greatly benefit your business.

I asked for an English menu but the cursive words on that are hard to recognize and I am sure some of them are not English. So I asked the owner if I can just order the dishes on the cover of menu. Literally, he said "You know English. You can read." I couldn't even believe my ears! I have been in Europe for one year and this is my first time being treated like this. Such a rude attitude was absolutely unacceptable for me so I left. I strongly don't recommend any non-French speakers to go there.

This restaurant, located in the most scenic spot at Saint-Paul de Vence, is known for its stunning views. When I sat at an outdoor table, they kindly informed me that it would take around 30 to 40 minutes for the food to be served. So, while enjoying the beautiful scenery, I decided to pass the time by sipping on my beer. Just a heads up, if you're not the patient type, this might not be the place for you. The steak was a bit tough, but the sautéed onions added a burst of flavor that made up for it. The duck was incredibly tender and the salad was truly a standout! I highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved the food here. The service was slow but they were busy and honestly, good food is worth the wait to us. My husband and I was both had the “menu A” option which included a starter and a main for lunch. My Provençal mixed platter was incredible and trying the different specialties of the area was really fun. The Provençal baked fish with potato and fennel was my main dish and it was so delicious. My husband got the smoked salmon starter and the beef ravioli as his main and was very happy with everything. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Saint Paul de Vence.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem – One of the Best Hotels in Europe From the moment we arrived at Toile Blanche, we knew we had found something special. The property is absolutely stunning—like stepping onto a movie set. The grounds are pristine and beautifully maintained, creating an atmosphere of pure serenity and charm. Our room was split over two levels and felt like a luxurious private retreat. We had a gorgeous soaker tub, both indoor and outdoor showers, and direct access from the lower level to our own private garden—an oasis of beauty and calm. We dined at both on-site restaurants—lunch at one and dinner at the other—and each meal was truly magnificent. The food, the flavors, the setting… everything was on point. What really sets Toile Blanche apart are the owners. You can feel their passion and pride in every detail. They clearly pour their hearts into this property, and it shows. The service was warm, attentive, and effortless. The location is also ideal—quiet and tucked away, yet central enough to easily explore the region. Our only regret? Not staying longer. Without a doubt, this is one of the top three hotels we’ve stayed at in all of Europe. We’ll be dreaming about it until we return.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to spend our engagement day. The property is absolutely stunning, every little corner feels carefully thought out. From the beautiful artwork and gardens to the views and the restaurants, everything is put together with such care and style. You can really tell how much Caroline and her husband love this place and it shows in every detail. She was so warm and accommodating, couldn't have asked for a better host. And the staff was the perfect balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive, letting us fully relax and enjoy the moment. We can’t wait to come back.

I checked in last night for 4 nights and already extended an extra 3. This place is magical! The grounds and views are stunning. The rooms are luxurious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We arrived late and they had a delicious cheese and charcuterie board waiting in our room for us. The food at the tapas restaurant is delicious. I’m excited to try the main restaurant for dinner. Absolute paradise!

Restaurant - our dinner was amazing, the perfect last night in Côte d’Azur. The food was not pretentious but refined and really good. We took the 3 course menu. The view and the atmosphere of the place was so serene and welcoming. Definitely made us want to stay at the hotel. The service was really nice, friendly. We discussed a bit with our waitress, who I wished I remember the name, she was really fun.

The superb cuisine was only surpassed by the hospitality of the dining staff. And even that fell short of the exquisite art collection throughout the contemporary grounds. Try the scallops and enjoy a stroll. Picasso would have lingered here and so should you.

You are part of the family when you are staying at Toile Blanche. The attention to detail at the property is impeccable - from the fresh rosemary and lavender scattered through the rooms / restaurants to the beautiful architecture & decor to the vibrant local restaurant menus - Toile Blanche is a curated experience from start to finish. The rich history of the property encourages you to indulge freely, daydream under the light blue sky & soak up the sun by the 3 different pools. This is THE place to visit in the South of France - warm hospitality, storybook scenery & a feeling of enjoyment that is hard to describe in words. Hopefully my pictures and videos do it justice.

Hidden gem in Saint Paul de Vence. Definitely the best restaurant we have ever been to. Their food is unique and exquisite, not similar to any other restaurant we have been to. We even asked to meet the chef and thank him for his amazing work. We went to this place three times during our short stay there because we loved it a lot. They use ingredients from their own organic harvest. Definitely a must try to anyone visiting the area!

Perfect location for a truly luxurious time out within 30 min from Nice airport. Very stylish with an incredible attention to detail (from fresh flowers to bathsalt..), lush gardens with beautiful sculptures, two fabulous restaurants on site. Our suite had a nice terrace even with a private pool: heaven! And staff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Au Jardin de la Vague is a charming restaurant just outside Saint Paul de Vence, offering clean and contemporary interiors as well as a lovely terrace with panoramic views. The menu features local cuisine with an emphasis on quality, fresh, seasonal, and homemade dishes. Guests praise the impeccable service despite unexpected rain. The chef's selection menu is highly recommended for those looking to indulge in a sensational dining experience.
Food here is outstanding, a perfect modern blend between French & Asian cuisines. We came here for the 8 course Carte Blanche Du Chef and were blown away by every dish. Service here was impeccable and we felt very comfortable for the whole 3 hours duration of the meal. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area! I wouldn’t be surprised if this restaurant gets a Michelin star in the near future.

When visiting Saint Paul De Vence, be sure to make a stop at La Cure Gourmande. This charming cake shop is known for its delectable assortment of sweets, cookies, and chocolates. The friendly staff and inviting interior create a pleasant shopping experience. Even if you hadn't planned on purchasing anything, the generous samples of almond cookies and chocolate are difficult to resist. It's great fun to explore the shop and find gifts to bring back home.
Anytime we visit Saint Paul De Vence, we stop here at La Cure Gourmande. My wife has to buy a bunch of sweets/cookies/chocolates and I end up eating most of it before we make it back to the U.S. The workers are very kind and the shop is nice inside.

Beautiful shop but unfortunately most of the cookies aren't tasty at all. I picked a sample from at least 8 different cookies. Thing is, at the entrance, the lady gave me a small sample to try and it's the only taste that is actually good (Caramel). I couldn't taste any of the other cookies so naturally I feel a bit funny about buying so many cookies and getting disappointed...

Art gallery
Galerie 31, located in Saint Paul de Vence, is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. The gallery features a permanent exhibition showcasing the remarkable works of Michel Degav. Visitors have praised the warm reception and insightful explanations provided by the staff about the artist and his creations. The vibrant colors, fantastic textures, and depth of Degav's paintings have left patrons in awe. Many have expressed their admiration for the beautiful artworks and personalized frames that perfectly complemented their interiors.
Beautiful paintings.

The review is for the gallery, not the art. The owner of the gallery was very rude, arrogant and judgmental. We came to look at a Michel Degav piece and he basically said “you cannot afford this, why are you here?” We purchased a more expensive piece from next door. His loss. [edit following owner’s reply: I stand by the review. You have many similar 1-star reviews so it should come as no surprise. You should not be in a customer facing role. Also, get the help you obviously need before it’s too late.]

(Translated by Google) I notice that the gallery systematically denies negative reviews, yet our experience unfortunately confirms what others have described—I sincerely believe the testimonials we've read. A frankly shocking experience. My boyfriend and I visited the gallery this morning around 11 a.m. The initial welcome was polite, but things quickly went south. When we asked if there was a website or a business card, the gentleman—Philippe, I think (because he gave us the gallery card with his name in pen)—began to imply that we probably couldn't afford to buy a painting. He even flipped a price tag on a painting to illustrate his point, before making an inappropriate remark: we could buy one if my boyfriend (who is English) was part of the Chelsea team that won the final yesterday in New York, but given that my boyfriend was at the gallery with me this morning, there's little chance he played a match the day before. This kind of judgment based on appearances is not only inappropriate but deeply disrespectful. A very bad experience.

I discovered this place and was very pleased. The goat cheese salad and quiche lorraine with salad were both outstanding, and the portions were generous. The view is amazing, the service is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable for the area. I would definitely return anytime. This restaurant offers fabulous food, particularly their onion soup, Ravioli with slow-cooked meat, and tiramisu. The hospitality is great, as well as the service.
We found this lovely restaurant on our evening stroll through the village. The location is perfect with an amazing view on their beautiful terrace. I can recommend the onion soup as their speciality and the truffle ravioli. The staff is very friendly and they have good wine as well :). Was surprised by the negative comments here, I had a lovely evening and will come back again!

The combination of great food, affordability, friendly staff, and an amazing view from the terrace makes for a lovely dining experience. The Brownies cookies and the quiche sound delightful, and it's great to hear that the wine selection is fantastic as well. My husband and I were wary of eating here because of some of the reviews about the food, but we decided to give it a try. I’m really glad we did. The food was delicious and our waiter was extremely friendly and patient with us as we asked him about the menu. We each had ravioli dishes and the onion soup - they came in generous portions and were very flavorful. Our experience couldn’t be farther from some of the other reviews. We’d definitely eat here again. We ate out on the terrace and the view can’t be beat. For some of the reviews that mention that the food is overpriced, perhaps each dish was a few euros more than we paid in other small towns in Provence. But for the location and the view, we felt it wasn’t unreasonable and they delivered on quality and service.

We ordered foie Gras and onion soup, both were fine but nothing special. For drinks one small bottle of water and a glass of wine. The place is next to other restaurants and it seem it was possible to order from others as well to combine it. Atmosphere is beautiful with a great view during night. Total came at 52.5

If you're looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel near St Paul de Vence, this place is it. The staff (morning/day/night) is incredible friendly, and they were able to book a table for us on very short notice to the Colombes d'Or in St Paul. The large bedroom had gorgeous view to an adjacent olive tree orchard, and we also enjoyed the hotel lounge and its "honor bar" (you have to try the Armagnac).
