Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Malta National Aquarium, opened in 2013, is a modern and expansive facility covering about 20,000 square meters. It features 41 tanks showcasing a variety of marine life including Mediterranean fish found in Maltese waters, reptiles, insects, and amphibians. The aquarium's starfish-shaped building offers stunning views of the Qawra headland and the surrounding blue seas.
Beautiful aquarium in Malta. A well-presented attraction showcasing Mediterranean and tropical marine life. Highlights include the walk-through tunnel with sharks and rays, plus clear educational displays. It’s smaller than big-city aquariums, so the visit is fairly short, but the quality and setting overlooking St. Paul’s Bay make it worthwhile. Great for families and a solid half-day outing. You can save a little money by booking ticket online before entrance.
Ayman R — Google review
It’s fine. Not bad, not brilliant — just fine. The building looks impressive from the outside, like it might contain a small whale or at least a dramatic reenactment of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Inside, however, it’s more of a friendly afternoon stroll past a few tanks that could comfortably fit into the lobby of a mid-sized hotel. The fish are lovely, the staff are friendly, and the kids seem to adore it — which is probably because it’s really designed for them. Adults will enjoy it too… for about 35 minutes, after which you’ve seen everything twice and are wondering if it’s too early for lunch. It’s not bad, it’s not overpriced, and it’s a pleasant way to dodge the sun for an hour. Just don’t expect your socks to be knocked off — you’ll leave with them firmly in place, slightly warmer from the Maltese heat.
Arik — Google review
It was really nice experience. The building is beautiful from outside, they have great number of different species of sea animals. The offer inside is really interesting, because they have diving simulator, nice shop but also exhibition of Mediterran antiques. The whole complex is not so big but you will spend quality hour and a half to enjoy in everything.
Leo V — Google review
Really informative and well presented; lots to see with an emphasis on conservation. Interactive displays let you click through to get detailed information on each fish. The simulated Submarine dive is a bonus! The restaurant is amazing and open for dinner, staying open after the aquarium closes. The structure is magnificently designed and occupies a prominent place on St Paul's Bay promenade.
Andy G — Google review
Enjoyed the visit, some lovely fish, loved the little jelly fish tanks, and the dive into the deep was a funny little extra. The walk through tunnel is a nice feature too. There is a small exhibition upstairs too of artifacts from shipwrecks. Cafe and gift shop on sight too.
Alana L — Google review
A good place to visit if a little pricey, but I suppose fish are expensive to look after. The displays were very good and informative and there were some reptiles too. It took about 90 minutes to get around, it would be a great place to take the kids. Very weird submersible experience not for the faint hearted. I probably wouldn't go back as I've seen it now but worth going once.
Tom L — Google review
The hop on hop off bus made the aquarium very easy to find, as we were taken right to the door. The aquarium is well designed, child friendly, and exhibits are labelled well. There are plenty of local and exotic fish on display. Staff are friendly and helpful. We went on the 'voyage to the bottom of the sea' ride (can't remember what it's really called, but it mimics an undersea explorer's journey), and it wasn't for the faint-hearted! Overall, a great experience.
Helena S — Google review
A smedium sized aquarium that is beautifully laid out, with amazing, passionate staff! Very well suited for a stop by while in the area. The exhibits are very well-made and presented, with detailed information consoles on all the fish and creatures. I also appreciated that I was learning a lot about the local aquatic life and initiatives, with the choices in curation. The walk-through had lots of unique features like glass tunnels, shows, and a tower of terror-esque 20,000 leagues under the sea ride. Great fun for fish buffs, casual sightseers, and kids alike. Outside, it’s located on a stretch with a stunning view of the coast, connecting to the boardwalk. Also, a particular shout out to the staff, who were so passionate and friendly! I had an amazing time discussing marine-adjacent topics with Andrea and Rosie. Their enthusiasm for the work and field is clear, and they are great science communicators!

If you're a car lover or simply someone who appreciates history, the Malta Classic Car Collection in St. Paul’s Bay is an absolute gem that you shouldn't miss. This captivating museum boasts an extensive array of meticulously restored classic cars from the 1940s to the 1960s, alongside fascinating memorabilia and antiques from those vibrant decades.
A Hidden Gem for All Ages The Malta Classic Car Collection is a great spot for both kids and adults. While it’s not a huge museum, it packs a lot into the space, with an impressive number of beautifully restored classic cars on display. Each vehicle is well presented, and there’s a lot to see for car lovers and curious visitors alike. A fun and interesting stop that’s definitely worth a visit!
Mihaela M — Google review
An incredible collection of beautifully maintained classic cars, with a great atmosphere throughout. Even if you’re not a car enthusiast, the range and presentation make it well worth a visit. Highly recommend!
Megan M — Google review
A small privately owned museum, well worth a visit. About 40 - 50 cars from old American cars to cars from European manufacturers from the 50's to the 70's. Also a great wealth of petrol pumps and assorted memorabilia from the 50's onwards.
Colin J — Google review
Pure motoring extacy at a bargain price. It also has a myriad of themes and displays. Personally I could spend all day gazing at the display cases so well put together, they made me so jealous of their collections. The library of old Haynes manuals and proliferation of auto books is a day out in itself. The cars are obviously lovingly restored and some still used which is the best type of car collection to have. Even in the UK you would struggle to see such and interesting collection so well put together and managed. Thanks to the lovely lady and happy chap I saw on Sunday, really made my stay of your wonderful island.
Rick — Google review
A great place and worth the trip to see it, but I love classic cars. A fine collection of classic European cars from the 40's to the 90's. They are all in mint condition with some really iconic models. There's also some vintage memorabilia from TVs and cassette players to model's and clothes. Well worth the entry price and spent a couple of hours in there. I'd go back if I came to Malta again. 10/10
Tom L — Google review
Very nice and well packed classic car museum. As a car enthusiast - I really enjoyed the time that I spent by just looking at the cars that I will never have a chance to drive nor really enjoy seeing on the streets. Because for someone these are just piles of iron, rubber and cables, but for some of us - these are living entities with their own stories and the best moments of what mankind have ever produced. Go there and dive in history.
Ervīns S — Google review
The place is a MUST VISIT if you are in Malta. The 10€ ticket is pretty reasonable because the whole museum is underground and a lot bigger than expected. We spent more than an hour inside and it wasn't crowded or anything at all. Best car museum experience ever and it's worth the price.
Kont G — Google review
Had the idea to visit this place from Tripadvisor. Glad we did! A collection of beautifully arranged pieces of history - not just cars & bikes - but lots of magazine articles, historical flyers, authentic interior design, costumes and everything that together puts you in the mood of nostalgia. The brief stories for each car models are good reads, you can buy a bunch of different souvenirs, caps, toy/model cars etc, and it's a lovely museum overall. There are 2 stories underground, a lot of Italian & American car brands, and even a little boat. 🙂 For 10 Eur ticket - our 3yrs old came in free of charge - I'd say it's well worth the experience!

Park
Salina National Park in Qawra is an eco-friendly park with a children's play area and saline marshland. The park also features salt pans introduced by the Phoenicians. Nearby, visitors can find the Bird Park and salt pans known as is-Salini. The Bird Park houses a variety of local bird species to admire. The park offers a nice view of the bird park and ocean, with plenty of benches for relaxation.
A very nice area to play and relax. There are 2 children's playgrounds - upper and lower one, lots of benches, picnic places and even outdoor gym equipment - a bit old and worn out though. Lots of trees and paths, flowers and places with a nice view over the bay. It's nice to have a stroll here.
Monika M — Google review
Nice and big place with free public toilets and a restaurant with plenty of seats. There are 2, very good playgrounds there too.

Pleasant place to spend some time. Plenty of benches to sit down. There is also a green area for the kids to play, and public toilets nearby.

We had my son’s birthday party at Salina National Park and it was absolutely perfect! The playground is excellent — safe, well-maintained, and had plenty to keep the kids entertained for hours. The park benches and picnic tables were a lifesaver — spacious, sturdy, and thankfully shaded, which made it really comfortable for the adults to relax and enjoy the day too. It’s such a lovely space for families, with loads of greenery and a peaceful atmosphere. I’m so glad we chose this spot — highly recommend it for parties, picnics, or just a relaxing afternoon with the kids!
Alissandra S — Google review
A beautiful very large park with everything one would need for a day out, both in summer and winter. Safe for children of all ages, especially toddlers. Large turf area with water areas, play areas, benches everywhere. There is also a restaurant & public toilets. Plenty of shade underneath all the trees everywhere. Great for picnics, get togethers, taking the kids out for a few hour and much more
Luiza T — Google review
This national park is located in a suitable place, but for a person from Poland (me) it is very small but it has two playgrounds and two small fountains located next to each other.
Adam G — Google review
It's a pity that there was no possibility to go closer to the salt pools ( because of the fence - April 2024 ). Otherwise, the park is nice; on Sunday lunchtime, there were plenty of families there for a picnic

Bird Park Malta is a conservation park that houses a variety of birds and other wildlife, offering guided tours, hands-on activities, and a cafe for visitors to enjoy. With over 200 species of birds and other wildlife, the park provides an opportunity to get up close to the animals in well-maintained surroundings. While some may feel saddened by seeing wild birds in captivity, it's evident that they are well cared for by friendly staff.
Amazing place, only small and takes less than say 40 minutes to explore but well worth it. Clearly have a lovely for animals but some of the cages are in need of some TLC. The owls are amazing but sad they are not free, however they seem well cared for and the one that is out of cage loves the staff as the interaction is clearly one of love for each other... It's very strange to see so many cats and birds in each others company just chilling in the sun together.... Well worth a visit and only €8 euros each.
Stephen S — Google review
Looks very nice, but many of the cages are small. Was one lady running the whole place. All the cages need a good clean out and fresh water as some was just filled with leaves and no water. Many of the birds have large patches of feathers missing and look stressed. All of the buildings are closed. Takes about 30/40 minutes to walk through. Not expensive for tickets.
Karl — Google review
An incredible place to visit. There are so many bird species, and all of them are gorgeous, friendly, and interesting. The lady taking care of them is incredibly friendly, and thoughtful about the birds. She treats them with immense care and love. You can see the birds reactions when she is around, they all get playful and cheery. You can pet an owl and see all sorts of species, from simple chickens, to exotic flamingos, owls and vultures. This place is a must visit. If I could give 10 stars I would!
Ardesian B — Google review
The birds in this place are very beautiful, but it is still a bad place for them. Parrots and owls are kept in small cages that are not cleaned, and moreover, one that is outside the cage is tied to a string and has very little space to move… this is a tragedy, it should be forbidden
Ghorey — Google review
The place is small and the animals are in small cages most of the time. Some birds are living good outside but some are stressed put and pulling out their feathers. I felt sad when I visited the place. This is extremely unhealthy for these poor birds but I hope they give them good food and love when tourists are not there :/
Kont G — Google review
The park is really beautiful, especially for animal lovers. You shouldn't believe in these bad reviews over there. If you watch the birds carefully, you will see that a lot of them are very happy and friendly, so that means that they really care about them! I am a parrot owner and I can recognize it, you can even pet some them! The owner is a pretty nice lady, she loves animals! People saying in reviews it is dirty and dusty, but when you see a lot of birds out of their cages walking around, I don't know what do you expect to see, cleaning service cleaning the park all the day?! It doesn't always mean that if everything is shiny and clean, that the animals are happy! So once again, this place is for real animal lovers, not for instagram selfie people!
Nina T — Google review
We were there this week. It wasn't a bird park, but a place of horror. The birds were in cages that were far too small and filled with filth. A couple of dead birds, trying to escape the horror, had their heads stuck in the cage's net. They were simply left there as examples for the other birds. Also cruel was the owl that was tied to a tree with two ropes that weren't even 2.5 meters long. It's a miracle that the parrots didn't immediately scream for help. Unfortunately there is no way to give 0 stars.
Helium S — Google review
Not bad time, interesting at all..... not many bird, but many flamingo and owl the price is inadequate at all

Charlie's Inn is a charming restaurant that offers traditional Maltese food in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The family-run establishment is known for its excellent rabbit dishes, such as rabbit cooked in red wine and garlic, fried rabbit, and rabbit-filled ravioli. The menu also features other options like rib eye steak and homemade meals that are cooked to perfection. Despite being busy, the staff provides great service, making it an ideal spot for a delightful dining experience with friends or family.
Best place for rabbit!! As a greedy food addict I wanted to try as many menus as possible, the chef suggested small 5 course starter with Fried Rabbit(1/2) and I almost lost my bellybutton😂 Having 6 plates, a beer, bottle of water, the price was €25 per person; very luxurious dinner, extremely affordable. I will always bring my friends to this place whenever they visit Malta. I lived here nearly a year, and I can't believe it took me a year to discover this place! My ranking for best restaurant in Malta #1 changed to this place from now on! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! If you want proper, genuine rabbit; this is where you should go!!
KyungLim M — Google review
I have been going to Charlie's Inn for many years, and the food and service have always been very good. However, I recently had lunch there and ordered a whole rabbit for three people. The rabbit was surprisingly small, and I even noticed that a few pieces were missing. As a result, we left feeling hungry. In the past, we would usually take leftovers home with us. This was very disappointing, as I still love this place for its rabbit dish. I do hope that this will not happen again!
Bella P — Google review
Overall, I liked the food, ambiance, and the service. They serve traditional maltese food and they are well known for their rabbit dishes. I ordered Lampuki. It was my first time eating this kind of fish and I really liked it. This fish is seasonal in Malta.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with St. John's Co-Cathedral, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Spinola Bay. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

St. John's Co-Cathedral, completed in 1578, is a lavishly decorated place of worship filled with marble and European masterpieces. It is home to Caravaggio's renowned painting 'The Beheading of St John,' making it a baroque masterpiece. The cathedral shares its seat with St Paul's Cathedral in Mdina and stands out as one of the few co-cathedrals that actually includes the term in its name.
This Cathedral is a MUST!! I’ve visited a million churches but St. John’s is on my top 10 most beautiful in the world. It’s basically a museum when it comes to art. I “kinda” regretted not coming to mass, the more spiritual atmosphere seems so appropriate, but my schedule was tight. PURCHASE tickets in advance!! The live for pre-purchased tickets was only like 5-10 mins long. The last minute line was huge, instead. The Belfry requires reservations and separate tkt. The visits end around 15:00 (3PM). DO: Cover your shoulders: both sexes must do so. They can give you a ridiculous plastic shawl at the door, if you forgot that you are going to a church: modesty people! 😇 You don’t want to be that geek. Bermudas are ok, short shorts no. DON’T: Bring liquids other than a small bottle of water. Get ready to have your backpack inspected by security and wear it in front of you, also great to avoid pickpockets, although Malta is super safe, there’s always a bad apple 🍎
Bruce B — Google review
My Experience at St. John’s Co-Cathedral Even after living in Malta for twenty years, every time I enter St. John’s Co-Cathedral, I feel the same sense of wonder, as if I am stepping into a sacred dream. This place is truly gem; it holds a presence that is both powerful and peaceful. The golden walls shimmer with history, and the silence feels alive, filled with centuries of faith and devotion. The pavimento, with its intricate marble inlays, tells another story beneath my feet rest the tombs of the Knights and the clerics of the Order. Each stone is like a chapter of history, each symbol a reminder of honor, sacrifice, and belief. It feels as though their spirits still guard this holy place. And then, there is Caravaggio’s masterpiece, The Beheading of St. John the Baptist. No matter how many times I stand before it, I am always struck by its intensity. The light and darkness, the raw humanity, the silence that follows the violence it all reaches deep into the soul. It’s not just a painting; it’s a revelation in each single detail. As an Italian who has called Malta home for two decades, this cathedral feels like a bridge between my origins and my adopted island. Every visit reminds me that beauty, faith, and art can transcend time and language. St. John’s Co-Cathedral is not only a monument it is a living, breathing miracle.

St. John’s Co-Cathedral is an **absolutely majestic and lavish masterpiece**. From the moment you step inside, you're surrounded by **ornate baroque architecture, gilded details, and stunning frescoes** that reflect the grandeur of Malta’s rich history. The site is **exceptionally well maintained**, and every corner tells a story. The **audio guide is available directly on your smartphone**, making the visit smooth and informative. It’s a great way to explore at your own pace while learning about the cathedral’s fascinating background. ⏳ **Tip**: Be sure to **buy your tickets online** in advance — it helps you **skip the queue at the entrance**, especially during peak hours. A must-see in Valletta for anyone interested in art, history, or simply breathtaking architecture!
Sebastien R — Google review
One of the best place to visit when you are in Malta. I recommend buying tickets in advance (skip the line one). Ticket for children under 12 is free. There is audio guide available at each section. Once you scan the qr code, you can listen to it. For few sections photography is prohibited so be wary of that. Most sections can be photographed with flash turned off at all times. My favourite section was the Caravaggio one. His paintings are hauntingly beautiful and you get to understand the composition, technique etc of the art. The Caravaggio show is only held on few dates so check and book in advance is recommended.

Magnificent cathedral. THE must-visit of Malta. Its opulence is comparable to the Vatican. The level of details is baffling. The chapels per language of the Knights also brings an interesting competition between various part. I highly recommend doing the Bell Tour tour.

Beautiful. Worth seeing. I recommend buying tickets online as you skip the very long queue. Instead, there's a queue but shorter and you only wait up to 5 mins.

An absolute must-see! St John’s Co‑Cathedral in Valletta is breathtaking—from the richly decorated Baroque interior to the incredible Caravaggio masterpiece. The visitor experience is well-organized and immersive. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Malta!
Florian S — Google review
If you go to only one place in Valletta then this should be it. A whole day would hardly be long enough. The Caravaggio experience was a bonus and was fantastic - properly explored the painting techniques he used in a fantastic immersive format that the overpriced and disappointing shows in London could learn from. This is just a beautiful place to be. It does cost to get in - 15 euros if you don't qualify for a concession - but it is so worth it. A 10/10 experience.

MUŻA - The National Community Art Museum is a captivating destination nestled in the heart of Valletta, Malta. Housed within a stunning 1760s knight's palace, this museum showcases an impressive array of art that spans from medieval to contemporary periods. Visitors can marvel at Baroque masterpieces and explore the largest collection of works by Southern Italian artist Mattia Preti found in any public institution.
Very interesting museum! At first it gives the impression that it is a small gallery, but in fact it is not. The museum has a very interesting interior - a bonus to the paintings that you will see inside. There are arrows painted on the floor and it is very easy to move from hall to hall. The collection of paintings and sculptures is large and the works are from all periods. We visited it on a Monday at noon and it was very quiet. Entrance - 10 €
Sonya M — Google review
You walk in expecting a modest little collection — a few paintings, maybe a dusty bust of someone important if you squint. And then suddenly, boom, they hit you with more art than the building can physically handle. It’s like the curators kept saying “Oh, and put this one up too” until every wall had the visual density of a Renaissance flea market. Does it feel cluttered? A little. Do I care? Not really — if the choice is between “too much art” and “not enough art,” I know where I stand. Now, about those little description signs: lovely idea, questionable execution. Sometimes the different language sections aren’t separated into paragraphs. It’s not a disaster, but after a while, you start reading everything twice. The building itself is gorgeous — the kind of place you wish you could rent for a long weekend and pretend you inherited. Staff are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and despite the occasional wall feeling like a visual game of Tetris, the experience is genuinely excellent.

If you’re visiting Valletta, I highly recommend stopping by MUŻA, the National Community Art Museum of Malta. It’s not a huge museum — you can see everything in about an hour and a half (or even an hour if you go quickly) — but it’s well worth the time. The collection is varied and engaging, featuring works by Maltese artists as well as international ones. You’ll find paintings, sculptures, and a range of interesting objects, all well-presented in a beautifully restored historic building. Overall, it’s a great way to experience Malta’s artistic heritage and see some truly lovely pieces of art without spending half a day. Definitely worth a visit while you’re in the area.

Interesting museum but with few great paintings and painters - except for Il Caravaggio and G. Bellini. The Baroque period is well represented, plus they have a few Icons which are beautiful. Don't expect something like Gli Uffizi in Italy. However, it was a pleasant and decent visit, in a nice environment.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Mùzu in Valletta. The food was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour — the risotto and dessert were real highlights. Huge thanks to Raj, our waiter, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience seamless. And special shout-out to Dinesh for the incredible cocktails — some of the best we had in Malta. Stylish setting, great vibes. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The permanent exhibition presents art and artefacts through different period of the Maltese heritage and history. A surprising discovery. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful Maltese paintings and sculptures. Highly recommended a visit to see the breadth of art available here. Particularly liked the sculptures myself.
Birgir M — Google review
I liked the more modern art but the baroque is not really my taste. Well presented but could have done with being offered a plan/layout or audio guide as it was really difficult to find the way out from first floor! Could have been difficult in a fire as one fire exit sign took us to a lift. I would say that staff are more interested in security than ensuring visitors have a good experience.

The Lascaris War Rooms is a historical museum located in the underground tunnels beneath Valletta, Malta's capital city. Built by the British military during World War II, this complex served as the allied war headquarters and played a crucial role in defending the island and coordinating Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily.
A must visit site for history fans Huge amount of history in this location for WW2 Take the time to absorb the atmosphere and learn about Malta during the war. Good information well presented. Staff very helpful. Time gun museum also close by and the Saluting battery at noon and 4pm definitely worth a visit

Firstly thanks Luke 👍our tour guide he was very enthusiastic which has to be the best start your tour and to escape the the sunshine on a very hot day. Our tour was 75 minutes long great history lesson over the age's but mostly the second world war. You can only imagine all the other room's that you can see through little gaps and staircases we love exploring it's just like Gibraltar WW2 tunnels. If you get the pass you you save quite a bit so get out there and explore!!

Amazing place. Plan 1-2 hours there. No need to book in advance. Fascinating history of how these underground shelters were used as war rooms for World War 2. And incredible stories of how Malta was used as a strategic point in the war and the epicenter of diversion techniques to eventually start the end of the war. Cheap tickets, a true gem!
James W — Google review
Absolutely fascinating museum that does a great job of telling the story of Malta during the second world war. They have done a great job of preserving the underground shelters and decorating them with a variety of period artifacts. The result is that you can get a good sense of how the place looked during the Malta blitz. However, it's well worth timing your visit to take advantage of the guided tour. We had Mike as our guide and his explanation of how the fighter control operated was very clear and comprehensive. There is also a new, very extensive display that covers with Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily in July 1943 in great detail including from the Italian side and the perspective of the civilians.

Probably one of the best WW2 museums I've ever been to. So much information to take in. Great displays and original rooms still made up with the era specific items. Well worth a visit although was a little pricy at €20 each. Would definitely recommend.
Karl M — Google review
We went on the War HQ Tunnels tour operated by the same company that runs the Lascaris War Rooms. This tour was extremely informative, engaging and took us to areas not accessible via the Lascaris War Rooms museum. This included tunnels constructed by the Knights Hospitaller (Knights of Malta) but also additional and extensive sections constructed during WW2. These areas housed the Combined War Headquarters of the Allies to command their forces and resist the extensive and devastating bombing of the Maltese islands. The tour covers the Fighter Sector Operations Room used during the Battle for Malta 1940-43, along with other operation rooms and facilities. It also shows the facilities and equipment used by NATO up to 1977, during the Cold War. A unique and immersive tour which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone with an interest in the history of Malta or WW2.

This is well worth a visit. It's an interesting tour of the under ground rooms. The guides are well informed and give a good overview of the history of the various rooms.

This was a great museum to visit. It's great they have kept or brought items to make this place look as authentic as it was during WWII. This museum covers 2 floors, both in a rock underground. A lot of information to absorb. Over all worth a visit if you are in Malta and into history and WWII.

Spinola Bay is a vibrant and scenic area in St. Julians, Malta, known as the town's gastronomic heart. The bay is adorned with small boats and offers a variety of restaurants with outdoor seating that serve both local and international cuisine. Overlooking the coast are traditional fishing boats housed below the restaurants, providing a picturesque backdrop for open-air dining during balmy summer evenings.
This bay is beautiful, one of the most beautiful places I have walked through in Malta; Eating ice cream or dessert in this area was very fun. Obligatory meeting point with friends to eat and have a few drinks. Here you can understand Maltese culture a little more.

The Submarine is a popular spot in Sliema, Malta known for its fresh and customizable sandwiches at a good price. It's a great place to stop by for lunch before heading to the nearby Three Cities. Visitors can enjoy exploring the charming alleyways and admiring the beautiful Maltese architecture in Cospicua, Vittoriosa, and Senglea.
Great place to chill with amazing wraps and and baguettes. The chicken, bacon potato ciabatta was amazing and loaded with filling. As was the well-stuffed smoked salmon, avocado and rocket salad my wife had which she said was amazing!

Brilliant place for a vegan ftira in Malta. This wee sandwich shop in the heart of Valetta offers made to order sandwiches and you can choose your ingredients from the large selection of vegetables and sauces that are vegan friendly. I think we had kunserva (traditional Maltese tomato sauce/spread) with rocket, aubergine & sun dried tomatoes and my partner avocado and mushroom. Both on traditional ftira bread. Very generous portion and nice to try traditional dishes from Malta but veganised.

Had a long exhausting day of sight seeing and was craving for something light and refreshing for lunch. Stumbled upon this cute little sandwich shop by chance and decided to give it a try with not much expectations and it surprisingly turned out to be one of the most delicious focaccia sandwich I’ve ever had. The bread was warm still, soft and crispy and the ingredients were fresh. Simple yet such a delight. Gets better with each bite. Genuinely could tell that the sandwiches were made with lots of love 🥪💞 A “culinary serendipity”!! 🌟 Please do yourself a favour and come try out one of their sandwiches if you’re nearby and tell them I said hi if you can 💃🏻

I visited The Submarine for lunch. It is located in the center, the people running the restaurant are very friendly & nice. There is an elaborate menu from which we can pick & choose whatever we want in the sandwich. It is helpful for vegetarians and vegans. The sandwich tasted amazing & it is pretty cheap! Highly recommended for everyone. I had selected Baguette with hot sauce, potatoes, onions & avocados.

These are the best sandwiches you will ever eat!! The traditional Maltese bread (Ftira) is the perfect size and texture, the choices for toppings are unbelievable, and Simone’s customer service is outstanding. We went four times during our stay (including one to takeaway to the airport), and each time, Simone’s sandwiches delivered on flavour, freshness and price point (approx 5 euro per sandwich). Each sandwich is made with love and care. The toppings are evenly disturbed within the sandwich, ensuring each bite is as pleasant as the last. This is hands down the best meal we ate in Malta. There is also great seating available in the shade outside, and Simone will deliver your sandwiches and ice cold Kinnie with a smile.

Amazing place with delicious freshly made sandwiches. I ordered vegetarian maltese and the cheese was wonderful. The service was very helpful and friendly, helped a lot with choosing the perfect option. You can choose from different types or make your own sandwich. The bread was fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We waited only a few minutes for our order and paid 8€ for one sandwich. Highly reccomend!

Without doubt, the best sandwich my wife and I ever had. The woman working behind the counter is awesome, no frills, all warmth and jokes. Make your own, over 300,000 (yes) combinations. All fresh and delicious. You can't come to the island of Malta and not try this place. Ftira bread is the winning ticket ;)

Already been to Zwiit Cravings cafe and had the churros and waffles. They were beyond amazing, especially with the vast variety of toppings you can choose. This time round I wanted to treat my colleagues for my birthday, so I ordered a bunch of churros with some nutella dips. Churros were priced at 50c a piece which is good considering each one is around 20-25cm long. Most importantly though is that their taste is incredible. Michelle took my order through Facebook Messenger and she was very patient and kind throughout the whole process. Delivery came on time and everything was in perfect condition. Make sure to check this place out if you are in the area and have a craving for something sweet! Thank you Michelle and the team at Zwiit! 😊

Splash & Fun Water Park is a seasonal destination that offers a variety of attractions such as waterslides, pools, a children's area, and a lazy river. Despite some negative reviews, the park provides loungers in several areas and options for ordering drinks and food without leaving your spot. While some visitors found the slides to be aged but still enjoyable, others appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities and the overall fun experience for families.
The price was very reasonable. We had a great time there and enjoyed every single moment. Thank you so much! The team was very helpful. We also had some food at the restaurant, but it wasn’t very delicious.
Reme D — Google review
I would like to say few words about this park. I was here with my son (13) and he actually had fun here and was ok. It is absolutely not the all over dirty old-looking place that many reviewers here are mentioning. It is OK. It is not brand new it’s true. Yes a few of the metal stairs leading up to the tallest slides have seen better days. But you just need to look where you are stepping that is all, same as you do at all water parks. Also the underside of some of the slides is looking a bit used. But the sliding area and all of the common areas (pathways walkways long chairs ) are looking clean. Also it is quite big. Yes something like half of the big slides are recommended only for big kids 13+. And I went with my son on some, including the 2 biggest ones where you could get a double inflatable. But the other half slides for example the 2 white slides or the green/yellow slide or the purple one are quite docile and ok for smaller kids as well. Let’s not mention that there is an entire area completely separated with green, which is for small kids only (under 5- putting a few pics here). And the huge wave pool (all the time I was there the waves did not work) which has a very shallow edge with water sprinkle plays also for small kids…. Last but not least the entire locker story is bogus, either people were not asking questions / not informed properly or I don’t know what. I am attaching a picture here there are 32 modern lockers with electronic watch unlocking just like the most modern waterparks, in the main long chair area next to the food place. And in the locker room I heard there are 60+ more. For information the lockers are numbered up to ~118 so I don’t see any reality in the claims that there are 12 lockers in the whole park. Giving 3 stars because it is true it is not brand new and needs to be improved, but overall good and to try if you are in Malta with kids.
Dragos D — Google review
Went in August. 33ºC day. 11 year old son, 9 year old daughter. Overweight Papa (140kg). The kids had loads of fun. I was able to go on all the slides. The slides were fun and there was a lot of variety. My favourite was the black hole. Twister was a bit fast for me. Reasonably priced ice reams. €85 entry for a day family ticket. It got noticeably busier in the afternoon when the half day tickets went on sale. We arrived at 10am and left at 1530. More than enough time to get everything in. Bought some goggles and watershoes at competitive prices in the shop too. There were more than enough lockers but they are a little small. We left valuables in there but books, towels and sun glasses we just left on a sun lounger without any problems. Nice people, nice crowd.
Stefan K — Google review
Not a bad place for a good time with the family. A big thank you to the animators in general, they are very cool. I liked that on one side there are slides for older people and on the other for small children. And it seems that a nice pool separates it in the middle. But the water park needs restoration, because it is clear that in places the slides or, for example, animal figures have already experienced a lot.
Lucas A — Google review
Our boys absolutely loved this place! The park is very spacious, so even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel overcrowded. The variety of water attractions is fantastic;from fun slides for the kids to more adventurous rides for the grown-ups. The water is clean, the facilities are well maintained, and there are plenty of shaded areas to relax. The food service is impressively quick, and the portions are huge, which is great for hungry swimmers. Prices at the entrance are reasonable, and considering the quality and range of activities, it’s excellent value for money. You can easily spend the whole day here without getting bored. A wonderful place for a family day out!
Evren G — Google review
The waterpark is a bit outdated, and the kids didn’t like that the water was salty. What we did enjoy was that our ticket also included entry to Mediterraneo Park — it was fun to feed the birds from our hands, watch the dolphin show, etc. As for food, it was quite good: there’s a kids’ menu and the prices are reasonable.
Diana G — Google review
We paid 44€ for two people half day (15.00-20.00). There are lots of things to do. 2 easy slides (white), some medium and hard. Rainbow slides, relaxation river, kid's pool and mini waterpark and lots of sunbeds. They also have lifeguards and they are very organized. The park tho needs maintenance. We felt overall safe in the park but when you are waiting in the queue of the slides you can see some parts moving when people slide and you can see some parts not being well connected to anything, which looks scary. At the park they also don't sell alcohol so we got a Spritz without Aperol which costed 5€ the Spritz was just a watered soda and for the price it was bare to okay... They also say that they provide lockers for the price of 5€ but the truth is that they are around 50 lockers and it's kinda impossible to find an empty one especially in afternoon. It's generally safe to leave your bags like that cause they have security but if you have big backpacks just to know that they won't fit in the lockers even if you find one. We also had a prepaid ticket which doesn't matter cause we waited in the same line as others and people got our queue as well even if we told them that we already have tickets... Nice for families and the prices are generally okay for a waterpark.
Valia K — Google review
Overall, it’s not bad. The café food is just average — it tastes fine if you’re really hungry, but nothing special. However, the toilets and showers were very, very dirty, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the attractions and entertainment were really good and enjoyable!

Mediterraneo Marine Park is a coastal theme park located in White Rocks Bahar Ic-Caghaq, offering a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. From captivating sea lion shows and the opportunity to swim with dolphins to an intriguing reptile house, the park provides diverse experiences. Visitors can enjoy engaging activities such as bird feeding sessions and watching entertaining animal shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, and colorful Macaws.
Very nice but small animal park , the talks are very informative and interesting. The animals all seem well looked after , if some of the enclosures are possibly a bit too small. Very good to see the park going through renovations, with bigger pools coming in for the animals. Would definitely love to come back in a few years time and see how the park has changed

Avoid this in a summer, for your own health, I would say this is the hottest place in Malta, the heat literally slaps you in the face once you enter. It's unbearable. As for the cost, if you really want to see dolphins, then go ahead. As for me, it's not worth it. The presentations are nice, but the areál could be way better. Even a damn fans here and there would be awesome.

wow. A small marine park. the main attractions are the dolphins and sea lions. there is a reptile section and parrot section. there is a programme of shows that can easily fill in an afternoon. the dolphin show was stunning and very educational. Second time I went there and it time I swam with the dolphins. Don expect a massive marine park but definately worth a visit.

My father wanted to observe dolphins It was a dream of his since he was a child and here he was able to make it come true, here we not only observed them but also had fun learning with them, recommended for families, Your children will love the dolphins, parrots, sea lion and the various reptiles in the park. The park offers the chance to swim with dolphins, take pictures with them and even interact with them all excluded from the initial ticket price. I highly recommend going during opening hours so you can enjoy the experience to the fullest which starts at 09:30 and ends at 17:30. Inside the park you will find a small restaurant for a tasty and quick lunch.

Nice little park. Restaurant and toilets available. You can (with extra charge od 8€) get a picture with a snake/ parrot/ lizard. Option to swim with dolphins available. For 35€ you can take a family photo with a dolphin. One family member can touch it :) Every half an hour little feeding or educational workshop with animals. People working there are friendly and helpfull and of course everyone speaks english.
Agnieszka K — Google review
My wife and I flew to Malta specifically to swim with dolphins—an experience we had both dreamed of since childhood. We had booked the noon slot, which unfortunately coincided with a heatwave reaching 42°C. The sun was intense, beating down on our faces throughout the experience. Despite the challenging weather, we have absolutely no regrets. The encounter was emotional and fulfilling—we felt genuine love and care not only from the dolphins but also from the dedicated staff who made the experience memorable. If I were to critique anything, I might have deducted a couple of stars due to poorly maintained facilities, the overall cost exceeding our expectations, and wishing we had just a few more minutes to interact with the dolphins. However, I’m giving this a 5-star rating—not because it was perfect, but because I’ve read several reviews here making false claims of animal cruelty and poor conditions, often from people who haven't even been there. I truly wish Google would review or remove such misleading comments. These claims do not reflect the reality we experienced. Out of the estimated 10 million wild dolphins living freely across the planet, targeting a facility that respectfully cares for just three of them seems misguided and unfair. The people working there are making an honest living, showing genuine care for the animals. Before passing judgment, perhaps take a moment to reflect inward. Ask yourself what actions you’ve taken to make the world better. It’s easy to adopt a moral high ground, but real maturity comes from channeling that energy toward those truly responsible for environmental harm—not small groups trying to create educational and emotional connections between people and animals. To those posting false accusations: grow in maturity, seek truth, and aim your criticism where it’s truly deserved—such as those who pollute our waters, burn forests, and destroy the future.

On our walk around the coastline of Malta and Gozo I've made a point to have rabbit when it is available. We ate here last night and it was the nicest eating experience we have had in Malta. Marley's opens at 7pm and there was quite a few locals waiting for entry. The atmosphere was comfortable and authentic and the staff were friendly. The menu is limited but that's what makes this restaurant special, as it specialises in rabbit. The servings are huge and perfectly cooked and the lovely lady who owns the restaurant offered us a serve of the local prickly pear liquor to try after listening about our adventures around Malta. Thank you for an outstanding dining experience.

Marley's is a nice place for family and friends gathering. Food is delicious. We had fried rabbit which was tasty and done wonderful. Ribeye was tender and cooked medium rare. A place to be to enjoy good food and good company. Recommended.
Bruno Z — Google review
Usually when you have a limited menu at a restaurant it is either a bad place or an authentic genuine family restaurant. Well, Marley's falls for sure into this second category; the plates are genuine and really tasty and good. You definitely must take the spaghetti with rabbit sauce where the rabbit and the maltese spices hit your mouth, and they where well "al dente"; and as a main plate you can take the rabbit sold in half or as a whole, depending on the number of people around the table and their hunger. The flavour of the rabbit is not overcome by any particular spice nor the garlic flavour is predominant; the pairing sauce is simply too good not to be eaten in full. As a side the rabbit comes with fries. Family friendly athmospere and, even though sometimes the noise is a bit loud, this is manageable. When the weather permits, you can easily eat outside. Reservation advised and strongly recommended to not be disappointed. Marley's enters my personal list on the top spots on the island where to eat genuine rabbit dishes.

Palazzo Parisio, also known as Scicluna Palace, is a 20th-century palace in Naxxar that houses the Luna restaurant. The historic Maltese Palazzo offers a regal setting for a delightful breakfast experience. Indulge in their famous eggs benedict and feel like royalty while dining amidst classic architecture. Afterward, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens and enjoy some tea.
This was not only spectacular architecture with the beauty of history but also a garden you need to visit if your in Malta. I was blown away by the beauty of the gardens and the rooms upstairs. So incredibly gorgeous. The catering industry is very well thought through. Very amazing service with ambitious people. The bartender was very friendly and gave us amazing cocktails. My trip came soon to an end. I could have stayed there the whole of autumn. 🍂🌳🌿🍸🍾

One of my favourite places to visit in Malta. Consistently delicious food, good service and a beautiful setting. I’ve been many times over several trips. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit, I was given various excuses as to why I couldn’t eat outside (with my baby) but was eventually relegated to a section far away from others.
Sarah B — Google review
From the exterior, the palace does not appear to be very impressive, so it is surprising to discover what is inside, especially if you have not done any research beforehand. The interior decorations are very elaborate. The provided paper guide adds context, helping you better understand each room, all of which have their own unique character. Without the guide, you would likely miss many of the details. For example, in many of the rooms, the walls are hand painted to look like wallpaper, and the furniture is also personalised. This demonstrates a very high level of luxury for the time. The garden is also beautiful, and the palace is definitely worth a visit.

Calling this place a "jewel" would be an understatement of just how gorgeous and wonderful it is. While it may not seem like much from the street, once you cross the threshold it's a completely different story. We both toured the palace (including the gardens) and had lunch here. The building itself, the rich rococo decorations, the collection of art and neat little dog figurines and trinkets was incredible. Walking through the rooms transports you to a different time and place. The gardens were also heavenly - the scent of jasmine and exotic flowers filled the air, while the whole place was serene. Finally, the food was superb - you could taste the quality and enjoy each bite knowing it was made from great ingredients and with care. The duck breast and the chocolate cheesecake are a must-try. And you can't go wrong with any of their wines really. And I particularly appreciated all the cats in the gardens, having a good time.

I visited Palazzo Parisio today to explore the place. Honestly, if you have time and are interested in old houses, it might be worth a visit. As for me, I didn’t find it as impressive as it’s often described – it was quite ordinary. I didn’t go upstairs and only walked through the garden. I also didn’t try the food at the restaurant.
Jamal A — Google review
Perfect place for brunch, dinner and lunch. Or just for a bottle of wine. One of the best spots in Malta for a good high quality dinner.

Impressive palace with large gardens. Corporate events can take place here.

The elegant Rococo ballroom at Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar, Malta, dazzles from its bronze chandiers and gilded walls. Busts of Grand Masters of the Order of St. John adorn the walls. From 1900 to 1907 the palace was completely refurbished by Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna and the current appearance dates from that time. Works by 17th and 18th century European painters hang in the Sala Lombarda or Red Drawing Room. A work by Italian painter Filippo Venuti hangs in the Pompeian Dining Room. Solid Victorian furniture is found in the bedroom.

Is a Roman Catholic baroque parish church. The Naxxar parish church was one of the 10 parishes, total of 12 when including the parishes of Mdina Cathedral and St Lawrence's church in Birgu, found to be existing by Bishop Senatore De Mello in 1436. The present church was built between 1616 and 1630 when there were 1200 inhabitants in Naxxar and it was felt that a larger church was needed. The large bell was made by the founder Toni Tanti in 1840. The main door, which is made of bronze, is dated 1913 and is the work of Pio Cellini. On 9 November 1787, the body of the martyr St Vittorio was brought from the Catacomb of Calepodius of Rome and is found in the altar in the choir.

The beautiful Parish church located in the heart of Naxxar. This church is worth a visit with it's amazing work of arts and architecture! The church is on a square surrounded by a couple of cafes and restaurants.

The Naxxar parish church was one of the 10 parishes, a total of 12 when including the parishes of Mdina Cathedral and St Lawrence's church in Birgu, found to be existing by Bishop Senatore De Mello in 1436 and the villages of Mosta and Għargħur were subject to it. De Mello listed it as one of the 12 parishes of Malta and it was the first parish dedicated to Our Lady after that of the old cathedral in Mdina. In 1575, the parish of Naxxar had under its control a total of 36 churches – 14 in Naxxar, 5 in Għargħur, 12 in Mosta, and 5 in the neighborhood of these villages. The present church was built between 1616 and 1630 when there were 1200 inhabitants in Naxxar and it was felt that a larger church was needed. The design was made by Tumas Dingli, one of the best architects of the time. The parish priest was Father Gakbu Pace. The choir and the area around it were redesigned in 1691 to the design of Lorenzo Gafà, the same architect who had designed the Mdina cathedral. The parish church was solemnly consecrated by Archbishop Paul Alphéran de Bussan on 11 December 1732. The church also has two transepts and a nave and is 130 feet (40 m) long. The width of the transept is 94 feet (29 m) and the nave 30 feet (9.1 m). The large bell was made by the founder Toni Tanti in 1840 and cost £225. The façade of the church has two clocks, one showing the actual time whilst the other is a painting and shows the time as a quarter to eleven (11.45). The main painting shows the Birth of Our Lady which is attributed to the school of Mattia Preti (1613-1699) whilst at the side, there are two paintings by Stefano Erardi (1650-1733) which show the Flight to Egypt and the Adoration of the Magi. Other paintings that show the Madonna and Child, St Cajetan, St Aloysius Gonzaga, Our Saviour, and Our Lady of Sorrows are the work of the Maltese painter Frangisku Zahra (1680-1765). In the sacristy hangs the antique painting showing Our Lady of the Rosary which was painted on wood by Gio Maria Abela in 1595. The main door, which is made of bronze, is dated 1913 and is the work of Pio Cellini. The door is made up of four main panels depicting the coat of arms of Our Lady, Patroness of Naxxar; the village coat of arms; the coat of arms of Pope Pius X, and the coat of arms of the family Zammit who were the benefactors of this door. In 1952 this door was dismantled and renovated and cleaned by the blacksmith Mastru Lucens Agius. The expenses involved were once more paid for by the same family Zammit. The statue of the Victoria, which feast is celebrated on 8 September, was imported from Rome whilst the statues of the Good Friday Procession are the work of a Maltese craftsman. Naxxar was one of the first villages which had the statues of the Passion of Our Lord and in fact, it is believed that the procession started being held just after 1750. On 9 November 1787, the body of the martyr St Vittorio was brought from the cemetery of St Calepodio of Rome and is found in the altar in the choir. Some of the sculptures and façades were made by Angelo Quatromanni

JAVA in Naxxar, Malta is a popular spot for breakfast and brunch. The cozy indoor space is inviting, but sitting outside to enjoy the sun while sipping on delicious coffee is recommended. Known for its refreshing smoothie bowls and locally roasted coffee, JAVA offers a variety of healthy and tasty dishes including bagels, sourdough, poached eggs, salads, fresh juices and shakes.
This is the highlight of our trip to Malta. I fell in love with this place definitely because of the food, everything was delicious. I can't recommend them enough. I also tried the orange juice and highly recommend it. This is not the average tasteless healthy food. This is heaven. Take it from a very selective person
Paloma M — Google review
Naxxar around the main church is a very busy place on a late Sunday morning with 7 or 8 catering outlets trying to satisfy the whims and needs of hundreds of patrons. We decided to join the crowds and settled for Java since we had not yet been there. While the actual seating inside was fully taken up we managed to get a table outside on the pavement just in front of the shop. Good menu with various options of snacks, brunch suggestions and coffees (hot or iced). The servers were super nice and helpful, though they looked understaffed and very busy. In fact the service was quite slow, though we were not in a hurry. The food was very nice - I had the one pot bacon & eggs which I through enjoyed. Would recommend it
David F — Google review
This was a last minute brunch decision but I was very pleased. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the food was nice. One thing I would say is the coffee was not great at all and the Shakshuka I ordered was more than a soup than an egg dish. Otherwise everything else was lovely.
Hanifah M — Google review
I’ve been to Java several times and tried probably all breakfast menu. Portions are just on point, even when they initially seem small. From the Turkish eggs and Shakshuka I did miss some extra bread to finish it, so having the option on the menu would be great. Overall the service is good and kind, the issue is that sometimes it lacks someone in the room overseeing the clients needs, so ofc this might delay simple requests and puts you in alert mode as you must pay attention to when someone will show. Once I got the service of a waitress that seemed new to the staff and she was a bit rude on the order and even on the way of starring, up and down to you. That was an isolate case, but very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. A thing that is missing is the salt and pepper being offered together with the food, even in sacks if must be, but something. In general, a very pleasant place with very nice food!
Christyne ( — Google review
Highly recommend this place for brunch! We visit from time to time and always try something new from the menu — and we’re always very satisfied. Great service and the food is excellent and full of flavor.
Vita B — Google review
Was a very pleasant brunch. Food is very tasty and well presented. I thoroughly enjoyed the ginger shot and breakfast bagel.
Liam S — Google review
The staff was very polite and the place itself is quite nice. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We sat down and had to go get the menus ourselves after waiting too long. After ordering, we waited exactly 45 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, I had already gone twice to ask if there was any update. When the food finally came, the toasted bread was cold and therefore hard, and the shakshuka came with just one egg that wasn’t well cooked at all. The sauce tasted like a basic canned tomato sauce with some onion and pepper thrown in — it felt like it had simply been reheated. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast/brunch. It might be okay if you just want a coffee or to grab one of the pre-made desserts from the fridge — which I assume don't require such a long wait. Lastly, I find it unacceptable that there was no manager present. The staff, while kind, clearly had no authority or ability to actually take responsibility or resolve any issues.

I had an amazing breakfast at Java breakfast and branch in Naxxar! From the moment I walked in, the cosy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The menu has so many tempting options, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ingredients were fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the coffee was amazing. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing and tasty breakfast with the view of the lovely Naxxar church! Highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good, hearty morning meal. I’ll definitely be back soon!

I recently visited Charles and Ron’s and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a stylish touch that made the place feel special. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the service smooth and comfortable. The food was definitely the highlight—fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Portion sizes were just right, and you could tell there was a lot of care put into each dish. Drinks complemented the meal well, and everything came out in good time. Overall, Charles and Ron’s is a spot I’d happily go back to, whether for a casual night out or a nice dinner with friends.

During my free time in Malta, I visited Charles & Ron Café, and it was a really nice experience. The atmosphere was modern and stylish, with a warm and welcoming vibe. I tried their coffee and some pastries, which were fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and gave very good service, making me feel comfortable. What I liked most was the unique design and presentation – it really showed creativity and local culture. It felt more than just a café; it was an artistic place where you can relax and enjoy good food. Overall, my visit to Charles & Ron Café was memorable, and I would love to go again.
CHANDRA N — Google review
What a great disappointment! CR cafe is not what it used to be! Charles&Ron cafe was my favourite cafe/lunch place. Today I had lunch there and am very sorry to say that the quality of the food is terrible and of cheap quality! I ordered chicken pinsa - I asked the server whether the chicken is breast or thighs emphasising that I do not like chicken thighs. The server came back from the kitchen assuring me that they use chicken breast. When the pinsa arrived I immediately noticed that the chicken was reheated, dry, tasteless chicken thighs. I removed the chicken and ate the rest but the pinsa tasted as if it was frozen pizza with a slightly acidic tomato sauce. Cheap quality with an expensive price tag (€14.90). At least the coffee and the brownie were good. The service is not what it used to be, although the Maltese server was very courteous and friendly. Alas I will definitely not eat again at CR cafe and might never set foot there again.

We were taken here for someone who was thanking us for something we done for them. First of all we arrived and was not greeted by any one. We found a table and sat down. We waited for a very long time and was just ignored. In the end we had to ask for service. Eventually we had a staff member what we wanted. We had to telll your staff 3 times what we wanted. Then he came back again as he had forgotten what we ordered. We were then served and 2 of us was awarded with a small chocolate but 1 lady member of our party got nothing. I asked your staff to put this right. Also I used your toilets there was paper all over the floor the toilet seat was stained yellow and the wash area was discusting. I have seen better toilets in a kiosk at the beach.Charles and Ron are supposed to be well known designers but I am sorry to say not in this business. Very disappointed and the person that took us there was embarrassed.

Top Of The World in Gharghur is a must-visit for anyone who adores breathtaking sunsets. This viewpoint offers stunning panoramic vistas of Malta's picturesque countryside and coastline, with the added bonus of being able to spot Sicily on clear days. It's an ideal location for those seeking tranquility, whether you prefer a leisurely stroll, a scenic picnic, or simply soaking in the beauty during sunrise or sunset.
Absolutely stunning spot in Malta! 🌅 Top of the World truly lives up to its name. The views are breathtaking—you get this wide, peaceful panorama that makes you feel like you’re on top of everything. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk, some fresh air, or just to sit and take it all in. We went during golden hour and the light was magical—highly recommend going around sunset if you can.

We went there by public transport. Walked up the mountain for about 30min. We enjoyed the view. There were benches and some picnic tables. We got to see the bats 🦇 flying around when it got darker. Would recommend! :)

Well, if you really have the time to drive up there, you will be rewarded with a nice view. However, the name of the site might be a little misleading, as it really only is a few parking lots, some exercise machines and a few benches to sit. Still, the views are nice and give you an idea of where everything is.

If you're planning a trip to Malta, I highly recommend checking out Mirage Car Rentals. This family-run business offers an exceptional level of service that truly stands out. Tonie and her husband are dedicated to ensuring you have the best experience possible, from explaining local driving rules in simple terms to providing a well-maintained vehicle equipped with air conditioning for those warm Maltese days.
I had a great experience with this car rental company. Everything went smoothly from start to finish — the car was in excellent condition, the rental process was quick and straightforward, and the price was very affordable. Mr. Tonio, the owner, took the time to explain all the rules clearly, including information about potential fines, and even provided me with a map highlighting interesting places to visit. After returning the car, my deposit 350 EUR was refunded shortly without any issues. Overall, a very professional and trustworthy service — highly recommended! P.S. What’s important - debit card was enough, you don’t need credit card, which is very comfortable as well!

A Great Car hire company, Tonio was friendly and informative, suggesting places of interest to see whilst on my vacation. The car was clean and well maintained, the rental price was very competitive. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend using Mirage. I hope to use them again myself on my next visit to Malta. Many thanks.

I would highly recommend Mirage Car rentals while in Malta. I am always nervous about hiring a car while abroad. The owner here "Tonio" was so helpful and put my mind at ease. He offered a huge amount of information on places to see and visit. The whole process was very straightforward with very little paperwork. He will walk you around the car to inspect it before you take it away. The price, including insurance was also very reasonable

What a delight to have rented a vehicle from Tonio at Mirage Car Rentals. When we picked up our hire car we discussed places that we'd planned to visit. Tonio was on the case with the forecast and advised us to delay our visit to Gozo by a day, owing to higher winds in the forecast. We didn't even think to consider anything other than the hope for sunshine. He was absolutely right though! He helped us to better plan our siteseeing and helped us to understand where it was okay to park for free in street parking (and where to avoid). He also went to length to fully explain the penalty charges for not obeying the highway rules - not that we intended to not honour speed limits and the like, but most hire companies give you the keys and off you go. Tonio took time to alert us to and explain the do's and don'ts of driving in Malta. He was so warm and friendly and we highly recommend car hire from him - he literally added precious value to our week long visit to Malta! We are very very thankful :-)

Excellent service and experience renting a car. The car itself was brilliant, Tonio was really helpful with his suggestions to get the best value as well as helpful hints about visiting around the island of Malta including Valletta. Everything very clear and outlined and couldn't have asked for a better experience whilst on holiday. Would highly recommend!

When I'm hiring a car on holiday I always let the reviews direct me. Mirage had the highest rating at the time and the reason was very clear. Tonio was a 5star gentleman as was the service. If you want an easy painless rental experience look no further. This will be my 'go to' car rental provider on my next visits, I would advise you make it yours.

Kimchi Asian Fusion is a vibrant restaurant located in the heart of Naxxar, offering a diverse mix of Asian flavors and spices. The menu boasts an endless variety of dishes, providing guests with an authentic and delicious dining experience. While the service was described as slightly slow, the staff were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was considered okay, but some expected more from this type of establishment. Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed during the visit.

I wouldn’t go back again. We were looking for a nice place which can aconitine nice fusion to Mediterranean cuisine, quite similar to how is done in other famous places here. We were disappointed overall and we do not recommend it to anyone. If you like Korean cuisine, this won’t be the food for you! Kimchi wasn’t kimchi. Photos show better than words. The server kept insisting it was amazing… my husband’s stomach and mine felt bad less than an 1 hour after and we kept burping. The tables are dirty, the service was slow. The only good thing was a fried egg and plain jasmine rice without salt or any seasoning in it. That’s it.

Amazing place, peaceful, nice atmosphere, and what's important delicious food!! Duck spring rolls as a starter and BBQ duck as a main course. Very tasty!! I was served by Jan Pierre, he is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful experience

High quality and delicious food. I think the spring rolls are fresh and hand-made, and not frozen, as the ones you find in other Asian restaurants, and this make a big difference! Recommended

We were served by Jean Pierre, who was incredibly nice. The food tasted great and the location was lovely. My tip are the soba noodles. They have a sweet tangy flavour and the topping gives a nice texture. Be advised though that during the summer months the Tom Ga Kai is not served.

Located in Labour Avenue, Naxxar, OTTO Clubhouse is a friendly and welcoming spot run by Ann Marie and David. The venue offers great food, big screen entertainment for football matches, and delicious cakes. Situated opposite the church, it provides outdoor tables for people-watching. Visitors praise the modern atmosphere, affordable prices, and friendly service provided by Nick.
We stopped because of the cathedral. The coffee was good, the pastries tasted good. We had a nice little coffee break.

First time I went it was good food good service. This week I went on Thursday, food was awful and felt sick all afternoon with its taste. Salmon with cream and caviar tasted more like seafood pasta couldn't even taste the salmon. The chicken was dry and tasteless. Complained that it was not what I ordered regarding the salmon pasta but waitress insisted it was Salmon and not seafood pasta. I think I know the difference at my age!! Definitely won't be going there again!!

Super affordable place which, surprisingly, has tasty food and very good service. No cheaper alternative nearby. But it also has a very fast serving time even with full seating. Be aware that it might be loud there because the place is popular in the neighborhood

Didn’t have food just stopped off for a pre dinner drink can’t complain excel €1.60 cheaper than my local band club. Will have to try the food when I next visit.

Good, honest food sold for a fraction of the price at many other comparable places. Booking in advance is recommend at weekends

Restaurant
The Daily Grub Naxxar is a charming café located near the church, offering a delightful dining experience. The Indian sharing platter features perfectly cooked Tandoori style chicken thigh meat, creamy chicken dish, onion/potato style bhaji samosas, and excellent lamb kofte. The aperol spritz is expertly prepared, and the burgers are also highly recommended. Visitors praise the friendly staff and top-notch table service.
Amazing little cafe situated in the shadow of the church. Great selection and amazing coffee; and all at an incredible price so excellent value for money too!!! I had the pulled pork grilled cheese which was delicious, and my partner had the full English which was generously proportioned and very reasonably priced. Can’t praise this place highly enough. Service was super friendly too.

We visited twice during our stay in Naxxar. There's a few seats outside with a view of the church. We opted for the Indian sharing platter which was delicious. It came with a variety of items including perfectly cooked Tandoori style chicken thigh meat. A creamy chicken dish. Onion/potato style bhaji samosas. The lamb kofte was excellent. Just enough for 2 people to share. The aperol spritz are poured perfectly. We tried the burgers on our second visit and it was lovely of the owner to acknowledge our second visit. The Burger I had came with a pink cooked beef pate and a skewer of the Tandoori chicken and the bhaji. We opted for sweet potato fries. My husband had the Tandoori chicken burger. Again very enjoyable. Fresh cooked homemade food cooked excellently. Great service.

Nice place with decent food. The burger (I think it was tennessee burger or something) was fine, but didn't really blow my mind. Maybe if it was medium-rare, it would've been better, but I wasn't asked about how it should be done. Fries were good. Overall good impression.
