JAVA in Naxxar, Malta is a popular spot for breakfast and brunch. The cozy indoor space is inviting, but sitting outside to enjoy the sun while sipping on delicious coffee is recommended. Known for its refreshing smoothie bowls and locally roasted coffee, JAVA offers a variety of healthy and tasty dishes including bagels, sourdough, poached eggs, salads, fresh juices and shakes.
This is the highlight of our trip to Malta. I fell in love with this place definitely because of the food, everything was delicious. I can't recommend them enough. I also tried the orange juice and highly recommend it. This is not the average tasteless healthy food. This is heaven. Take it from a very selective person

Naxxar around the main church is a very busy place on a late Sunday morning with 7 or 8 catering outlets trying to satisfy the whims and needs of hundreds of patrons. We decided to join the crowds and settled for Java since we had not yet been there. While the actual seating inside was fully taken up we managed to get a table outside on the pavement just in front of the shop. Good menu with various options of snacks, brunch suggestions and coffees (hot or iced). The servers were super nice and helpful, though they looked understaffed and very busy. In fact the service was quite slow, though we were not in a hurry. The food was very nice - I had the one pot bacon & eggs which I through enjoyed. Would recommend it
David F — Google review
This was a last minute brunch decision but I was very pleased. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the food was nice. One thing I would say is the coffee was not great at all and the Shakshuka I ordered was more than a soup than an egg dish. Otherwise everything else was lovely.
Hanifah M — Google review
I’ve been to Java several times and tried probably all breakfast menu. Portions are just on point, even when they initially seem small. From the Turkish eggs and Shakshuka I did miss some extra bread to finish it, so having the option on the menu would be great. Overall the service is good and kind, the issue is that sometimes it lacks someone in the room overseeing the clients needs, so ofc this might delay simple requests and puts you in alert mode as you must pay attention to when someone will show. Once I got the service of a waitress that seemed new to the staff and she was a bit rude on the order and even on the way of starring, up and down to you. That was an isolate case, but very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. A thing that is missing is the salt and pepper being offered together with the food, even in sacks if must be, but something. In general, a very pleasant place with very nice food!
Christyne ( — Google review
Highly recommend this place for brunch! We visit from time to time and always try something new from the menu — and we’re always very satisfied. Great service and the food is excellent and full of flavor.
Vita B — Google review
Was a very pleasant brunch. Food is very tasty and well presented. I thoroughly enjoyed the ginger shot and breakfast bagel.
Liam S — Google review
The staff was very polite and the place itself is quite nice. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We sat down and had to go get the menus ourselves after waiting too long. After ordering, we waited exactly 45 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, I had already gone twice to ask if there was any update. When the food finally came, the toasted bread was cold and therefore hard, and the shakshuka came with just one egg that wasn’t well cooked at all. The sauce tasted like a basic canned tomato sauce with some onion and pepper thrown in — it felt like it had simply been reheated. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast/brunch. It might be okay if you just want a coffee or to grab one of the pre-made desserts from the fridge — which I assume don't require such a long wait. Lastly, I find it unacceptable that there was no manager present. The staff, while kind, clearly had no authority or ability to actually take responsibility or resolve any issues.
Marios T — Google review
I had an amazing breakfast at Java breakfast and branch in Naxxar! From the moment I walked in, the cosy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The menu has so many tempting options, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ingredients were fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the coffee was amazing. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing and tasty breakfast with the view of the lovely Naxxar church! Highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good, hearty morning meal. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Bistro

Event venue
Crust Bistro & Bar is a unique dining concept led by Chef Sean Gravina, offering a fusion of bakery, deli, and bar bite creations. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor dining for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Despite not being right on the seaside, the atmosphere and food are exceptional. The friendly staff provide outstanding service in a slightly chaotic but welcoming environment.
My boyfriend and I had lunch here and we were very pleased with the food, service and our overall experience. The brunch menu had so many options that all sounded delicious, it was hard to choose. The portions were big and the food was very tasty. Our waiter was really kind and made sure we were enjoying our lunch.

Went there for a late brunch with family. Food was delicious and nicely presented. A family member is gluten intolerant and the server went out of his way checking ( and rechecking ) to make sure the dish she wanted will be all with gluten free items. :)

The food was excellent! Big portions, good prices and nice athmosphere. Cappucino-the best that I tried in Malta. Big thank to the waiter for amazing service :)

Really great place with both inside and outside terrace/tables. We sat inside where there was a nice atmosphere with jazzy music in the background. We ordered a fluffy pancake and a vegan patty with avocado. Both were delicious. Price/quality ratio was very good.

This is a cute brunch place with a lot of options. The benedict eggs were good, but the cocktails could be a tad bit better. Good experience nonetheless!

TRIBE Malta is a popular cafe in Valletta that attracts remote workers and digital nomads with its super-fast wifi and delicious menu. The place offers breakfast, lunch, and happy hour options. Visitors praise the sophisticated presentation of food, including fluffy pancakes and avocado toast with salmon and poached egg. The cafe's beautiful decor, spacious seating areas, great playlist, outstanding food, cocktails, friendly staff make it a must-visit spot in historical Valletta.
Reallly lovely spot for food and drinks. It was very busy so we were seated inside which was quite nice given the decor. A great selection of food which was really tasty, large portions and reasonably priced. Staff were all very friendly too and we didn’t feel rushed despite the restaurant being packed.
Georgia R — Google review
The place is well located, very close to the entrance to Valletta, ideal for a coffee, a refreshing drink for this summer. The menu is also very gourmet and delicious. I had breakfast there and my experience was great. I recommend the place 10/10. The staff is very professional and always available if you need anything for the table.
Leddy R — Google review
Tribe Malta had delicious food, I tried the chicken schnitzel which was just the right amount of portions. The service was friendly and the food came fast. I was early to dinner so later in the evening it may be busier. Downsides, I didn’t like all the mirrors which made you feel like you were in a fishbowl and the water glasses need to be bigger! Otherwise, I recommend and would definitely eat there again.
Derek J — Google review
Lovely place to have a breakfast, brunch or even dinner. The place's decoration ir really unique in Valletta, staff are friendly, patient and available. The place fits for vegetetians and vegans, eventhough the choices are not various. Prices are correct and meets the plates quality and quantity, count around 15/20€ a meal. Waiting time were pretty fast, but I might suggest to reserve in your experiencing the place during season, as it was already crowded out season. I defenetly recommend
Adrien G — Google review
After searching for the best brunch on TikTok, this place totally lived up to the recommendation. We were looking for an Instagrammable spot with great food in the heart of Valletta – and that’s exactly what we found. They make their own sourdough bread, which is amazing. I had the Sweet Soul Sister with salmon and avocado, and my friend had the Toast Malone. We finished off with the Dubai pancakes – absolutely delicious! The staff was super friendly, the food was fantastic, and the place is just too cute. Thank you – highly recommended!
Andrea Ž — Google review
The restaurant/cafe offers an exceptional ambiance complemented by attentive and welcoming staff. Its prime location adds to the overall appeal, while the menu features a delectable array of dishes served in notably generous portions. An outstanding dining experience with my colleagues.
Poor P — Google review
got sat down very quickly by a nice server, we ordered and got our food in under 15-20 mins. there is more bugs than people here, and it’s so irritating, but they can’t help that. Food was underwhelming, we ordered the baobuns and fries, all fries in malta are undercooked it’s an island wide problem. The baobuns tasted of just meh, far too much ginger and sweet chilli, the chicken was a little pink in the middle - will update if i blow up the bathroom tomorrow. All in all, as with the rest of the maltese restaurants just absolute mid.

Probably the best breakfast ever….. food was so tasty! Service was fantastic and friendly! Wish we could go every day! Well worth a visit!

Olive3 is a charming restaurant located in the industrial heartland of Mriehel. The interior is delightful and the service is top-notch, creating a cozy ambiance for diners. While some find the prices on the higher side, others rave about the incredible food and excellent service. Visitors highly recommend Olive3 for its memorable dining experience, professional staff, and delicious dishes like truffle paccheri with Maltese sausage and chicken skewers.
Olive3 – A Weekly Gem Worth Every Visit Tucked away like a local secret but loved like a favorite tradition, Olive3 has quickly become my go-to spot—and for good reason. I find myself returning here weekly, not just for the food, but for the warm, welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. From the moment you walk in, the staff at Olive3 go above and beyond. The service is consistently excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. They remember my usual order especially when it comes to their amazing fresh homemade drinks and somehow always make you feel like the most important person in the room. The real magic, though, is in the kitchen. Olive3’s daily specialities are nothing short of remarkable. Each dish is bursting with top-tier flavor, crafted with a level of care and creativity that never feels routine. Whether you’re trying something new or sticking to a favorite, the food is always fresh, vibrant, and deeply satisfying. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular like me, Olive3 delivers a consistent experience of quality, comfort, and community. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like family and fed like royalty, Olive3 is it. Highly recommended.

Had such a lovely lunch at Olivia3 in Malta! 🥢🍝 The place feels warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends. We tried their poke bowls with fresh veggies, tender meat and a perfectly cooked sunny-side egg on top – so colorful and tasty. The pastas were rich, creamy and full of flavor (the carbonara-style one was a favorite). Coffee was smooth and strong, exactly what you want after a big meal. Service was super friendly and the vibe is calm but lively – you just feel good sitting there. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for both healthy bowls and comforting pasta. 🌿🍷

I had breakfast at Olive 3 Restaurant today and was genuinely impressed. I ordered the Classic English, and it was excellent — a great price for the value. The in-house made hash brown were absolutely delicious, and everything was beautifully presented. On top of that, the service was incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Really nice place for breakfast and brunch in Malta. The food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. I had poached eggs with bacon, spinach and cheese, and it was delicious. My friends also loved the green omelette and truffle toast. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the service was great. It’s a relaxed spot, perfect to enjoy good food with a cold Cisk or Birra Moretti. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

So far, we had 3 visits at this restaurant, and honestly , it's great! Breakfast or lunch, you will be completely satisfied! 😋 there is an option for everyone's taste and their selection of homemade drinks (Iced teas, lemonade, smoothies) is super delicious

Olive 3 in Mrieħel/Birkirkara is a great find! Very wheelchair accessible (didn’t check the toilets though). The place was packed but the staff were on point – quick to seat us, take orders, bring food, and get the bill sorted. Busy but totally in control. If you’re stuck on “as mum made it” food, this might not be your thing, but everyone else will love it. Speaking as a vegan, I was happy to see more options than most Maltese places – not loads, but enough, and all clearly well thought out. I had the Vurger and Poke Bowl – both excellent. The portobello mushroom was properly marinated, pesto on point, bun stayed intact. Roasted potatoes were great (I’d just use a touch less oil). Portions were just right. They also do some delicious refreshments — we tried the watermelon & mint one and it was spot-on: fresh, cooling, and not overly sweet. Only real gripe: vegan dessert needs more love. Banana bread is fine, but after a meal I’d rather have something else – maybe partner with a vegan baker? The vibe is lovely – a mix of industrial and rustic – and the table layout works well. Can’t wait to go back!

Marelli Cafe in Birkirkara, Malta is a beloved spot for coffee and brunch. The cafe offers a diverse menu with dishes that change regularly, ensuring there's always something new to try. Visitors rave about the delicious eggs benedict and sweet treats available. While it can get crowded, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it an ideal place to relax with friends over a meal or some great coffee.
Delicious food and lovely service. The team make you feel right at home. They're friendly and efficient! The food is outstanding to say the least, and ask for their specials they're always amazing.

We hosted a hens party Friday evening and it was truly amazing! The owner catered to our every need, communicated frequently with us prior to the event to ensure we get everything we envisaged and she truly exceeded our expectations! The food was AMAZING as always!! Service was impeccable, efficient and continuously looking after us to make sure we have everything we need, drinks, food etc. Everyone enjoyed themselves, spoke very highly of the food and the service. Cannot recommend this venue enough!
Nicole S — Google review
I LOVE Marelli. The staff are so so nice and welcoming, food is absolutely delicious, and the specials menu varies every couple of days which is great since it spoils you for choice. The place itself is also super cute and there’s always a great background song playing to set the vibe. I have been twice now, and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who’s looking for impeccable and friendly service, amazinggg food and an all in all good time.
Ylenia S — Google review
Small but cute and good food prices are a bit on the higher side but still okay. Service was good however there were a lot of cockroaches outside the restaurant which we didn’t notice until after we finished the food. Overall very good but do recommend the establishment to try and keep those creepy crawlers away as they are a let down at the end.
Nathan M — Google review
Always a pleasure to grab lunch at Marelli! The fixed menu has the basics we all crave from time to time, and the specials board is updated regularly with a variety of dishes. I like to check out their Instagram for specials before visiting 😁 Desserts, coffees and cocktails are a must as well.
Maria B — Google review
The food is amazing and also the staff is very helpful as they let you know their specials of the day. Love visiting here. The only drawback is that the place is small, therefore have limited space when visiting with the pushchair.
Rebecca E — Google review
Nice selection of breakfast and brunch items on the menu, both sweet and savoury. Good swift service.
Elizabeth A — Google review
Could you please inform customers about how busy the kitchen is upon entrance, instead of waiting until after they've chosen their food? The long wait becomes very difficult given the uncomfortable seating. Sitting outside, we were cramped with dogs, pushchairs, and people smoking. We couldn't even stand up without spilling drinks and making the people at the next table move. Food was good, but sadly the whole experience doesn't make want to come back, at least on a weekend.

Cafe Jubilee is a charming bistro with three locations across the Maltese islands, each boasting quirky decor adorned with vintage posters and curiosities hanging from the ceiling. The menu offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as soups, salads, sandwiches, and pastas, along with continental breakfast options. A must-try is the torta tal-lampuki, a popular dish at Cafe Jubilee.
Fabulous little morning coffee stop and great prices with the warmest friendliest smile from our waiter who was charming! Loved the olde world decor, so interesting to look around the various posters. Great find and highly recommended. Breakfast being served next to us looked delicious!!

My favourite meal when in Valletta! I had the rabbit stew, to try the local cuisine, and I was very happy with my choice! The dish itself could have been hotter, but the spices you could taste was excellent! Delicious dessert too! Overall, definitely come here to try Maltese dishes. It has a very French feel, but is a lovely place. No outdoor seating though!

The yogurt bowl is tasty. The English breakfast is just ok for this price. (I asked them to take away the meat.) The sour bread is a little bit disappointing, but it’s a cute place with a lot of locals hanging out here. Great atmosphere.

Fabulous place. Looks like old timey cafe. Food is amazing. I had widow’s soup (photo attached) which was awesome as was the duck stew (which I failed to picture because I quickly devoured it). Great spot in heart of Valletta old town.

A very beautiful and laid back place to grab some coffee. They have some food options as well. I had the pulled pork sandwich with cheese and it was good especially the toasted bread. For dessert i had the walnut tart that came with some hazelnut ice cream. It was very tasty. The place is very clean and you can tell the interior was designed and made with love. It is also sittuated in the heart of Valletta so if you visit Valletta definitely go here.

Palazzo Parisio, also known as Scicluna Palace, is a 20th-century palace in Naxxar that houses the Luna restaurant. The historic Maltese Palazzo offers a regal setting for a delightful breakfast experience. Indulge in their famous eggs benedict and feel like royalty while dining amidst classic architecture. Afterward, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens and enjoy some tea.
This was not only spectacular architecture with the beauty of history but also a garden you need to visit if your in Malta. I was blown away by the beauty of the gardens and the rooms upstairs. So incredibly gorgeous. The catering industry is very well thought through. Very amazing service with ambitious people. The bartender was very friendly and gave us amazing cocktails. My trip came soon to an end. I could have stayed there the whole of autumn. 🍂🌳🌿🍸🍾

One of my favourite places to visit in Malta. Consistently delicious food, good service and a beautiful setting. I’ve been many times over several trips. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit, I was given various excuses as to why I couldn’t eat outside (with my baby) but was eventually relegated to a section far away from others.
Sarah B — Google review
From the exterior, the palace does not appear to be very impressive, so it is surprising to discover what is inside, especially if you have not done any research beforehand. The interior decorations are very elaborate. The provided paper guide adds context, helping you better understand each room, all of which have their own unique character. Without the guide, you would likely miss many of the details. For example, in many of the rooms, the walls are hand painted to look like wallpaper, and the furniture is also personalised. This demonstrates a very high level of luxury for the time. The garden is also beautiful, and the palace is definitely worth a visit.
David A — Google review
Calling this place a "jewel" would be an understatement of just how gorgeous and wonderful it is. While it may not seem like much from the street, once you cross the threshold it's a completely different story. We both toured the palace (including the gardens) and had lunch here. The building itself, the rich rococo decorations, the collection of art and neat little dog figurines and trinkets was incredible. Walking through the rooms transports you to a different time and place. The gardens were also heavenly - the scent of jasmine and exotic flowers filled the air, while the whole place was serene. Finally, the food was superb - you could taste the quality and enjoy each bite knowing it was made from great ingredients and with care. The duck breast and the chocolate cheesecake are a must-try. And you can't go wrong with any of their wines really. And I particularly appreciated all the cats in the gardens, having a good time.
John B — Google review
I visited Palazzo Parisio today to explore the place. Honestly, if you have time and are interested in old houses, it might be worth a visit. As for me, I didn’t find it as impressive as it’s often described – it was quite ordinary. I didn’t go upstairs and only walked through the garden. I also didn’t try the food at the restaurant.

Perfect place for brunch, dinner and lunch. Or just for a bottle of wine. One of the best spots in Malta for a good high quality dinner.

The elegant Rococo ballroom at Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar, Malta, dazzles from its bronze chandiers and gilded walls. Busts of Grand Masters of the Order of St. John adorn the walls. From 1900 to 1907 the palace was completely refurbished by Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna and the current appearance dates from that time. Works by 17th and 18th century European painters hang in the Sala Lombarda or Red Drawing Room. A work by Italian painter Filippo Venuti hangs in the Pompeian Dining Room. Solid Victorian furniture is found in the bedroom.

These decadent, egg-shaped treats promise to elevate your enjoyment of this classic dessert.
The very best brunch and lunch place in the region. They offer such big selection of brunch dishes and they serve so fast and work very efficient. I love this place. Haven't had that quality cappuccino for a long time. And the breakfast brioche buns just melt in your mouth, so soft and fresh. And oh my...the pastries and cakes they make....to die for honestly wow, so worth the money. So overall very very good place, one of my new favourites for sure.

Not very pleasant experience, I ordered a millefeuille which was terrible, so hard that one couldn't put the fork in it. While we were having a good cappucino on the sunny terrace I waited around 20 min, hoping that it would melt a bit, but no chance. I went inside with it, showing them that is uneatable and after they first tried to say is fresh, when I invited them to eat it, they dropped it. What I asked is that the 2 more they were having to be taken from the counter so no one will experience this. Didn't happen, but they did not charge me for it.

The review doesn't need much explaining, you can tell by the smile on my face and the takeaway in my hand to know that the experience was a solid 5 stars. Very good selection of sweets and pastries for those with a sweet tooth and there's something for everyone as the tastes and flavors that make their line of eats is vast. Needless to say that I'll be visiting again 😃

Great place for breakfast and brunch! They have very large menu and serve breakfast till 3 pm. They have many tables, but I still recommend to book in advance especially in summer. Their coffee is delicious! I think they have one of the best breakfasts in the area. This time I tried avocado toast and I will be honest it was ok. My husband had eggs beef brisket and it tasted amazing! It was so good, that I ordered it as well! I really really recommend it! Manouche also offers a lot of desserts, bakery and chocolate. I love their dark chocolate with hazelnuts; as for other desserts, they are way too sweet for me

The brownie tastes a bit off. Please change the butter that you used for it and add a bit of cocoa to the recipe. And please reheat the brownies that don't have frosting before serving. Chai latte is good, better than other coffee shops in Malta. Service was excellent. Very attentive and courteous staff. The place is clean and we'll ventilated. Individual seats are not very comfy. Balcony seating is available. A good venue to hangout with friends and family for some small bites in St. Julian's busy area.

Excellent and very tasty cuisine for a reasonable price. Staff is polite and helpfull. Would recommend to visit and dine in.

It might be a busy place in evening, but unfortunately it failed to deliver to us. Veggie burger came with cold patty which we returned & Pizza was like over crunchy fried bread which was hard & which frankly peeled off the roof of our mouth. Servitor seemed fine & so is manager when we asked her to take burger off the bill. Being first meal in Malta, I was quite disappointed here.

We decided to stop & grab a bite to eat. We had the cheese platter - it was delicious. Sit outside enjoy a glass of wine & relax. So nice!

Overall, a good place with a convenient location and good quality food. The service was a bit slow, and the staff were a little too pushy in asking us to leave reviews with photos of specific dishes.

We ordered a pasta dish and received a kind of mushroom sauce soup. The pasta was very small and covered in a cheesy cream that wasn't very good. It's a very expensive, small dish, and it's not good. Not to mention the service; it took a long time, and they forgot to give us silverware. I don't think it's a good place to eat.

Wonderful outdoor dining in the heart of Valletta. Wide range of dishes to choose from. Sharma's customer service was outstanding. On each occasion we dined at the restaurant he made sure we had a great experience. Many thanks!

Maybe the food is good, but unfortunately, the kindness and basic courtesy are lacking. I had planned to dine here and tried to use the toilet before being seated. The waiter told me the restroom was for customers only and suggested I try another restaurant — without even asking if I intended to eat there (which I did). After that unwelcoming response, I chose to leave. A little respect goes a long way.

Emma's Kitchen is a trendy and homey breakfast spot located in San Gwann, offering a central location for visitors. The restaurant is known for its healthy brunch options, reminiscent of Aussie brekkie. While some find the prices to be on the higher side, many praise the delicious food and friendly service. The avocado toast with egg and croissants are particularly recommended, although some have found the smoothies to be lacking.
Nice brunch place for those accommodated in Sliema & San Gwann. The staff was really nice and welcoming, the food delicious and right next to is a bus station from which you can catch a bus to Mdina & Rabat! ❤️

It was a good environment but a bit stressful and you feel stressed by some of the waiters to leave as soon as possible (maybe on Sunday). Even they made some discounts and look good in the photo (at least) , the I have never eaten such kind of bad croissants in my life. They are not fresh and they serve you by heating this (I don’t know if it is common in Malta). Anyway, I cannot say anything for other dishes but I don’t want to waste my time and money to try them out.

Good, but way overpriced. The food was good, brunch dishes reminds me of Aussie brekkie and they tasted delicious! Friendly service and good latte macchiato! Espresso tasted pretty bad though and 4€ for a fresh orange juice full of ice and topped with water is a bit excessive. Chilled atmosphere and lovely internal design!

The café has a beautiful and very aesthetic atmosphere, and the location in Valletta is great. The staff was attentive and handled our feedback very well, which we truly appreciated. However, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. The matcha didn’t taste authentic (mine mostly tasted of soy milk and my friend’s of coconut), and the poached eggs were not properly cooked. My order also came with bacon instead of salmon at first, but they corrected it quickly. Overall, a nice spot with good service, but for me the food and drinks were not memorable.

Great service and delicious food 😊 We tried 2 different breakfasts, both were very well thought through in terms of tastes. Presentation was great as well. I didn't like my Turkish eggs, but it was just my taste - I can't deny that it was a great dish though. We also had a good cappuccino ☕ and an oj. Staff was super friendly and proactive, a great service. Definitely worth having a breakfast here, especially if you are looking for some savory, protein-fat based one! 😊

The first thing I’d like to highlight is that, right at the entrance, we were kindly informed that the food might take a bit longer than usual — which I actually see as a big plus. It shows honesty and good communication with guests. After a short wait, we were offered a table inside, which was great since it was very windy outside. The prawn pasta was delicious — creamy, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The bowl with chicken was a bit dry, but the stuff immediately noticed and offered to remove it from the bill, and choose smth else, which was really appreciated. Overall, the service was excellent — very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, and it’s definitely a place I can recommend visiting.

Absolutely adored this place! It was quite busy at 1pm and they did warn us that it could be a 35 - 45 min wait for food but based on reviews, we were happy to wait. The staff were incredibly lovely, food was immaculate, overall vibe was fantastic. Highly highly recommend and even if there's a wait, I think it's worth it!

The casual atmosphere is complemented by friendly service; patrons rave about the welcoming staff who engage in genuine conversations.
One of the only places I wish I had sixth star to give. Casual eatery, done right. Food: Garlic Octopus as starter to share and the surf and turf & chicken burger as main. Everything was delicious. We were blown away. Server super friendly, we actually had a conversation. I used a voucher and as opposed to other places, we didn't get a negative reaction and were treated well. Great service as well. Ambience inside, really well designed and air conditioned. Also serves cocktails which are missing from the drinks menu. They also prepare water based fruit punch, which was told is prepared fresh daily. This place should be on the map and will definitely be visiting again.

Clean and nice atmosphere, but nothing special. The service is excellent. Menu is limited. No lactose free options. No kids menu. A child at our table ordered a burger. She didn't have much choice and she didn't like it. What a waste! ( I cannot understand why simple foods for kids such as: plain burger, penne napolitana, small pizza Margherita ... cannot be added to the menu) . The food was abundant and good. On the expensive side.

We came to try out Hungry Hippie due to a voucher we got at the Malta food festival which clearly stated that the voucher was 50% on all food. When we came to pay they told us that the voucher in only valid for one person and not really on all food. This condition was no where written on the voucher and when we told the person at the cash he showed us a sign at the bar. This condition should have been written on the actual voucher not at the cash desk. Clearly a gimmick to rule people in under false pretenses!

Manouche Craft Bakery in Valletta is a delightful blend of Maltese and French culinary expertise. The bakery and bistro offer a modern twist on classic French dishes using fresh local ingredients. Their high-quality coffee perfectly complements the exceptional food. With outdoor seating providing a lovely view of the church, it's an ideal spot for brunch. Despite the rain, attentive staff ensured a pleasant dining experience.
The food was very delicious we had an omelette and an English breakfast, and finished with dessert. The savory dishes were tasty, though I wouldn’t call them exceptional. However, the sweet pastries were really good, especially the pistachio Paris-Brest.

We had a really yummy brunch at Manouche this morning. Our drinks took a while to come but it was relatively busy and so understandable. We tucked into eggs Benedikt, Norwegian eggs, Eggs Florentine and sourdough with bacon jam, scrambled eggs and asparagus. All were very tasty and reaonably priced given where we were. Next time we will save space for something sweet as they all looked delicious as well! A great spot in the heart of Valletta for breakfast/brunch or lunch - we will return!

What an outstanding service we got here from our server Charlie. We got the French menu during lunch and the food was delicious. We had the most delicious breakfast ever 🥰😍 it was so yummy and so tasty, the eggs were so fresh and delicious, everything was so nice. I recommend this place! Only thing were the birds flying around the table but ok 🙈 Loved the food, love the ladies who were serving us, absolutely beautiful
Tena F — Google review
We came here for brunch, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The “French toast” wasn’t really French toast at all, and overall the food felt too industrial, nothing special and lacking in flavor. The lemonade was far too sweet, and my friend’s fish and chips were made with low-quality fish and tasted just as tired as they looked. The one highlight was the onion soup, which we genuinely enjoyed. The setting has potential, it’s in a charming old Maltese house, which is impressive. However, even with its historic charm, the bathroom area could use much better sanitation and a quick, regular clean.

Horrible smoothies. Half of the ingredients were not fresh. The strawberries tasted unnatural and like industrial strawberry powder. We ordered 5 different tastes. Flu, energy, pearl, beet and etc. from all if them only the pearl tasted something bearable and natural. Overall staff were slow. Doesn’t worth the price. 👎👎

Went there for the first time and had the very best smoothie I've ever tasted so far. True, I haven't had too many smoothies in my life yet but this one was delicious. The server in charge was very kind and quick and did a good job making me a future customer. Given the fact that I was kinda thirsty I had overlooked the incredibly good looking food options they offered. Can't wait to come back. :) Thank you!

The juices are excellent, had the flu fighter juice twice. The staff is very friendly. I tried the raw bar ‚snickers‘ which sounded amazing but barely had any taste to it. Would always come back for the juice though.

It’s amazing first off. It’s the kind of place you nip past if you need a quick energiser or nice cold smoothie. It’s all fresh fruit and veg and you’ve also got green and protein options available. They also take Apple Pay/contactless which is super useful. I believe they also have a loyalty program which is convenient especially if you plan on passing this place quite often. The actual drink I bought was strawberry energiser which included pears and bananas! You can get a large or a regular. The regular cost me about €5.20 which is fairly reasonable considering it is all fresh and tastes absolutely delicious! The price varies on what style of drink you choose. But due to this price my girlfriend and I shared one regular. They also do special items in their menu such as milk and soy with oats to create a porridge, protein shakes and even soup! The staff were really friendly and well spoken in their English which is always very comforting. There is also no seating at the time of posting this but might change in summer due to holiday-goers. I came here February 2020 and it was quiet so I can imagine in the summer this place will be positively teeming with clientele. Definitely worth trying if you are going by during the hot weather or you need to quench your thirst while trekking around Valletta! Wish I had a Dr. Juice in the UK!

I’ve been here twice now, and both times the cakes were absolutely fantastic. I don’t want to get too dramatic, since I haven’t had that many cakes on the island, but these two would definitely be my top picks. First is the Almond Cheesecake; I'm not entirely sure if it’s almond though, but it’s a cheesecake. If you ever see it on the display shelf, do yourself a favor and get this. Also, the Kiwi Cake is also amazing. I will definitely be back to try the other cakes. Service is also exemplary, the cashier lady is very friendly and accomodating, always with a smile.

After spending a bit of time exploring Malta, I can confidently say that Baker Street Coffee Shop in L-Iklin is an absolute standout. From the moment I first walked in, I was struck by the incredible ambience, the music was perfect, the staff were wonderfully friendly, and the whole place had a vibe that felt both cozy and unique. I loved that it's attached to a micro art gallery, which adds a cool, creative touch. The owner was also incredibly kind and welcoming. What truly sets this place apart is the food and drink. The menu feels like something you'd prepare at home, with a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients like spinach, ginger shots, granola yogurts, salmon and delicious date balls (I do wish they had a protein version, though!). The coffee is easily one of the best I've had on the island, and their teas are equally fantastic. After trying several other establishments that felt like typical tourist traps with bland, uninspired food, I had to come back to Baker Street for a second visit before leaving this part of the island. The difference is night and day!!! This place is proof that you don't have to sacrifice quality for convenience. While it might not be the cheapest spot, it offers incredible value, especially when you compare it to other places that charge more for bland, low-quality ingredients. Baker Street is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a refreshing culinary experience. If you’re in Malta and looking for a place with great food, a perfect atmosphere, and a genuine passion for quality, this is the spot.

I live this neighborhood since 3 years and i have been coming to Baker Street since day 1. Always they provide good food, smiley face and warm welcome. There was a lady before who worked here, and also other stuff, always talk with me via good way, positive moods. Once, their card machine didn't work properly and i wasn't able to pay with card and i had no cash. She told me "okey, you can pay later " then i went abroad for 2 months and couldn't pay my bill ( which i attached photos of it ) When i came back, i visited here both paying my old bill and having breakfast. The owner said, the lady was retired, and no need to pay the bill, its on the house 🥲 Thank you baker street and lovely stuff , you are one of my favorite place in the world !!!!
M Y — Google review
Been here countless times over the years, never disappoints. In a country littered with tacky places serving over-priced low-quality food, Baker Street is a true gem. I could live in this bistro, where every dish I've tasted was done to perfection and where the kitchen staff understands that salads offer an infinite number of possibilities that neither start nor end with lettuce. All this for such decent prices that I just had three drinks and three food items for 17.50€, and am absolutely stuffed. Can't recommend this place enough, and wish to see it get full of customers, without never losing the qualities that made me write this review. In the photo: the salad of the day with red rice, rucola, broccoli, mushrooms and fennel, and a salmon and mozzarella quiche.

This is such a lovely place for the lunch , I’d definitely go back as the staff is so friendly , welcoming and absolutely welcoming. The food quality is great , fresh and delicious. Love their coffee , would surely love to try their rib eye next time but their chicken burger was delicious . 😋

The atmosphere was pretty loud. There were 11 people in the restaurant (2 of them children 4-7 y/o). Music could be a tad lower since it resulted in people trying to speak over it. I ordered the munchies burger. It was decent, not good, not bad. The patty was made well-done, which made it pretty tough to chew through, but the overall burger was pretty juicy (patty somewhat as well). The "rosemary salted fries" might have been able to see salt and rosemary but hadn't been touched by either of them. However, the fries were fresh, and you could salt them yourself, but so, not a huge problem. The amount of condiments you were given was okay. The service was acceptable, nothing that stood out, but nothing that was lacking. Price might be a bit on the higher side in comparison to what you got. But acceptable.

Great place for dinner with larger groups. Don't go if you want a romantic night out. This is not the place for that. Too big, too crowded and noisy. And a very big television just distracting. Service is OK, but not great. Or they come to fast or they don't come at all. Food is good, prices are great (kids menu max 10 euro). Hamburger really cheap (15-16 euro). Big choice for desserts. They where very nice.

The place is very nice, atmosphere good. Parking was easy and plentiful. Food was generally good, however the burger was supposed to come with rosemary fries according to the menu, but it came with plain fries. When I pointed it out, they took it and brought back the exact same thing :D. It wasn't that important, so I didn't press the matter any further. The patty was kinda dry, but otherwise good. Staff is helpful All in all, positive experience, so would recommend. :)

There is nothing wrong with the way I speak. People generally always understand me. However, when I went to this cafe recently, I repeated all of my orders and questions at least twice, if not three or four times. Every request was ignored or done wrongly! Tasteless wrap, unimpressive service, but the cherry on the cake…. a MINI doughnut (it felt so dry, I’m assuming it could be frozen.) for €2.50. Only good thing was the cappuccino. Not a fan.

Ambience just wow other than that nothing special

Plenty of great and tasty food options, quite friendly service. The cleanliness though... specially outside, it's a bit out of order. Napkins all over the floor, tables that seem permanently cluttered long after the customers left ... the amount of flies hanging about... just disgusting, not sure that bit can be improved mind. Plenty can be improved in the cleanliness area. Perhaps 1 more staff member would sort the issue. Indoors though, no complaints.

My daughter and I were at J&B, we wanted to have breakfast in this bar, we remained at the counter for more than 10 minutes waiting for the blonde lady or the girl to speak to us again, but they didn't even bother to say hello. Seeing as that, we went away.WE WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN

Food and coffee are good and reasonably priced too. It's a pity the cashier has no idea about the #1 golden rule about catering, and that is the client is always right (at least in this case, never blame the client for your own mistake!) shocking behaviour. I will think again about returning.

Cin's Coffee House is a charming spot to savor a delightful meal. The food is not only fresh and delicious but also reasonably priced, making it a great value for the quality. While the menu may be limited, it offers classic options like cappuccinos, tea, and toast. However, accessibility may be an issue as there is no ramp for wheelchair users. Nonetheless, the overall experience of enjoying tasty fare at fair prices makes it worth recommending and revisiting.
Service is great. Price was really good. Coffee and meal good price.

Nice, intimate eatery serving ready made items like sandwiches, rolls, pizza, pies, and such items. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Small but adequate for small groups of a maximum of 6 people at most. Good food, reasonable prices, polite and friendly stuff.

Nice place and great English breakfast. I don’t recommend to take the avocado toast because you’re going to be a little bit disappointed, also try to go early in the morning when they still have all fresh stuff

Really good spot fot lunch. A variety of food choices, good prices and portions, delicious food. Only downside that most of the options were already sold out before 12pm. Give it a go and you won't regret it. Maltese ftira is so so good, I keep coming back for it.

Really disappointed with the chicken salad wjicj is advertised as freshly marinated chicken breast when in reality it's marinated chicken STRIPS.

EDIT AT END: Non-existent customer care and wrong information online! Sort yourselves out! Was in Mosta and needed to get donuts for my football team for an after game wee celebration, match started at 8:30pm. Had just finished a meeting at 8pm so I only had a short window so I checked online to see what was open and "luckily" I saw that the Donut Factory in Naxxar closes at 9pm. I drove there in no time at all and also managed to park relatively close. Happy days right? As I near the entrance, I see the lights on and a blonde woman inside. I try to open the door but its stuck, the woman gestures at the door (which I took as though she was gesturing for me to try the door again). I try again, she points at the door more aggressively this time, no words have been spoken yet. So I try for a third time at which point she yells "Look at the sign!!" or something to that effect. Still holding my phone in my hand and with confusion, I hold up nine fingers and say, "you close at 9pm" to which she says no at 8pm. I inform her that online it says you guys close at 9pm to which she simply shrugs her shoulders at me and tells me "it's not my problem or something to that effect". I was not expecting her to open for me and I then informed her that someone should check cause the information online is wrong, to which she repeats the same thing. At this point I lose it and say "I know, haq alma, I am just trying to say that the info online is wrong". I suppose she took this as an opportunity to confront me but I'd had enough by then and walked away. Like I said, I wasn't expecting her to open for me. Having worked in a similar role dealing with customers, I understand that she probably had a long shift and was happy that the day was over only to see a customer trying to get in. But after having informed her of the error, she showed no compassion whatsoever or any attempt to apologise for the business' error made online. For all she knows I could have come from bloody Birzebbuga to get these donuts and to be treated like that is a joke. Sort yourselves out lads! Edit: I spoke with online customer care informing them about the lack of customer care and that the time online was incorrect. They answered very quickly and apologised and were very understanding. They even offered me a free coffee which I refused but it was a really nice gesture. I don't want the person to be fired over this of course not, but perhaps a little nudge on what can be done next time. Thank you to the person online for your time and understanding!

Got 4 doughnuts (two raspberry, one kinder and another with chocolate). The top of the doughnut were really dry indicating either an old product or an issue in production. Doughnuts were consumed minutes after purchase. At least the service was really nice but overpriced.

Donouts and coffee were good but the person who served us was not friendly at all and was hating every minute she was at work. No smile and no compassion with kids. A kid went to speak to her and she was more worried about if he is going to touch the glass window she just cleaned. We were 2 people and ordered 3 donouts ... and in a rude way she asked ... is this all for 2 people ... Well yeah ... am i not allowed to eat 2 donouts??

One donut was fresh but the other one was dry and more than 1 day old.
